Bloo this is a very dumb question from me
How do Bloodmoon hat work? Did he shove a normal nightcap on and the ears just poked through?
I try to draw his hat and my brain is just 'that is not how himst workth'
The ears on the hat are part of the overall hat design, like how an animal hat has little ears on it but in Bloodmoon's case the hat ears are hollow inside to allow them to stick their own in
#questions and answers#modellingispainge#funny fun fact also for you#when they first changed into Bloodmoon for the first time#the hat was formed from their hair/mane#so it is quite literally a part of them lmao#sadly it did end up making them nearly bald lmao but it grew back fairly quick#bloodmoon#fnaf bloodmoon#jester bots and dragons

Back on my bullshit with trying to guess character motives feat. Dark Sun
Sooo Dark Sun (or 'Just Sun') finally rolled up to talk to Sun in todays SAMS ep, and naturally I'm putting him on the high-speed cycle in my head trying to parse what his motives are. What does he GET out of this?
Because he was leaning on Sun really hard to kill Nexus-- specifically, he wants Sun to see Nexus as a representative of the worst kind of person Moon can be, and to recognize that as a threat that needs to be killed.
But-- why?
Roll back a bit: Dark Sun has been involved in every step of Nexus' fall from grace.
He did something to New Moon at their very first meeting.
He provided Eclipse with the means to bring back Solar, and then prevented him from acting until Dark Sun wanted him to.
He dropped Ruin off on New Moon's doorstep when Moon was at a point where he could have accepted Solar's death, causing Moon to double down on his efforts.
He plucked New Moon out of space and pulled the chip containing Old Moon out of his head and left it for Monty to find.
He's provided Nexus with a new base of operations and enables his monkeying around with dark energon dark star energy, despite the damage it's doing to Nex.
Dark Sun needs Nexus to make himself into a threat. Because that's what he does, he sets up the dominoes and pulls the strings, but he doesn't outright tell others what to do (unless it's bossing Ruin around, but Ruin is his bitch so he doesn't count.)
And today, he was leaning real hard on Sun to see Nexus as a threat. to see all Moons as a threat (though, curiously, not mentioning Old Moon).
So what is he getting out of this? Why does he also need Sun to see Nexus as a threat that needs to be stopped? Why does he want Sun to 'understand' that he has to kill his brother?
Dial back the motives. The most compelling and strongest motives are Simple and Selfish: Eclipse didn't actually want power, he wanted Moon to pay attention to him. Ruin did want to prevent a total catastrophe, but he also wanted revenge on the Creators for destroying his life and world.
(As an aside, this is why I feel that Bloodmoon didn't make a good antagonist, and why Ruin's initial appearance was kind of boring. 'I'm here just to fuck shit up' isn't a very compelling motive.)
What do we know about Dark Sun?
He lied about having killed his Moon and actually kept him to torture-- or he DID kill his own Moon, and the one Ruin met was a substitute
He never gets his hands dirty, he gets others to act for him
He's obsessed with Sun
He fucking hates Moon
Dark Sun tells Sun that 98% of dimensions lose their Sun, and Moon is often the one that kills them. But it's not exactly that straightforward, is it?
Atlas points out that Dark Sun is counting dimensions where Sun was reset as him being 'dead'. Dimensions where Eclipse has a hand in Sun's death could be considered Moon's fault, since Eclipse is a byproduct of the killcode. Ruin's situation resulted in the ego death of both his Sun and Moon, on his Moon's suggestion. Ruin also wiped out 5000 dimensions and I think that's gonna skew some of the numbers.
And... how many dimensions have we seen a dead Sun in the show? Two, I think? The one where they never split up and Moon consumed Sun after the killcode took full control, and Solar's. And in Solar's, that Moon went mad trying to bring his Sun back.
Almost every instance we've seen, Sun and Moon coexist just fine once they're in separate bodies.
And I think that's what Dark Sun wants. I think he's trying to justify killing his own Moon before they ever got a chance to get along.
Moons MUST be evil and unable to change, they MUST be cruel. It's impossible for a Sun to get along with a Moon for any length of time, and that Sun is in the right when he has to kill his Moon.
And he's going to use Sun and Nexus to prove how right he is.
#tsams#sams#the sun and moon show#and like i could be completely wrong also but ITS JUST A THEORY#etc etc

I am Near, I am Here: Rayla, the Moon, and Love as Presence
I was originally going to add this to @raayllum's post about Rayla's lullaby and Ethari but then the number of screenshots I was taking before I even started to write indicated that it had gotten out of hand.
Rayla's lullaby ties in with a lot of stuff going on in s6, most of them related to her relationship with Callum, which has its last barriers broken down and leaves their bond stronger than ever. Surely so strong that nothing in s7 could possibly challenge it. Most of Rayla's life has been defined by absence—the absence of her parents, her own forced absence from her community, her chosen absence from Callum. The lullaby, however, affirms that even when the moon appears to be absent, it is still there, and has been all along.
This is an interesting facet of the Moon arcanum, which is usually focused on certain dualities—life and death, reality and illusion, presence and absence—but also on the permeable borders between them, on change and cycles between those states.
We also actually have a window into Rayla's own understanding of the Moon arcanum—her first transformation into Moonshadow form in Bloodmoon Huntress. Look, just... bear with me, okay?
It's explicit that not all Moonshadow elves can achieve Moonshadow form, and that for most it takes months or years of meditation and training. I read this as that, while Moonshadow elves are born with an innate connection to the Moon primal, attaining Moonshadow form requires developing a deeper understanding of its arcanum. Runaan describes it as being about the balance of life and death:
Rayla can't reach Runaan's understanding of the Moon arcanum, which is somewhat hilariously about recognizing yourself in your enemy (something Rayla winds up being very good at) and understanding why you have to kill them, anyway (something Rayla winds up being very bad at).
What does work for her to achieve Moonshadow form at a terrifyingly young age is focusing on her wingaling, and a statement from Ethari:
Both are about love as being present—something Rayla is conflicted about in her parents' absence. The wingaling represents a promise that Ethari and Runaan will always come for her when she's in need. Ethari's statement is originally made in the context of explaining that Runaan's devotion to his people may require him to make great sacrifices, but that devotion can also be the smallest act of presence, and both are necessary. Her understanding of the Moon arcanum is about that presence—the moon that is always there, even at times when there is no light.
As Rayla is struggles with why her parents Runaan leaves those he loves to risk his life for others, Ethari explains that he and Runaan both know he may never come back, and that is something Ethari has to accept because Runaan can't be separated from that devotion and duty when it comes to loving him. What's missing from the conversation is acknowledgement of the trust and commitment that underpins that acceptance—Ethari's trust that Runaan will come back, and Runaan's commitment to do so.
The moon is there even when it has waned to invisibility, but it goes unstated that it also always waxes back to full. You can trust that it's there when it can't be seen, and you can trust that its light is coming back. You can trust that it's there when it can't be seen because you can trust that its light is coming back.
I am near, the lullaby says. I will be with you again soon. Until then, remember that my love is always here.
That's an understanding that Rayla crucially doesn't have when she leaves. In Dear Callum, she never once promises or even suggests to Callum that she will come back to him, even if she finds Viren. The closest she gets is the lukewarm:
I wish I could say that we will see each other again, but I don’t know if we will. I hope so.
So not only is she shattering the trust Callum had in her by abandoning him after she told him they would stay together, she won't even offer any real reassurance that she will return. Because she doesn't really think she will. Her only commitment to keep him safe, and as long as being separated accomplishes that, she will stay away. How is he supposed to accept that? What reason could he ever have to believe that she and her love are there, even when out of sight?
And yes, all of this does stem from things she learned from Runaan—Mr. "I do what I must so those I love don't have to"—but the key difference is that when push comes to shove, Runaan understands something else:
The same thing that Tiadrin and Lain did:
And that Amaya does:
That love is ultimately strengthened through presence, and through presence it strengthens us, in turn. When we open ourselves to strengthen those we love and trust them to strengthen us, then our love cannot be diminished by distance or absence.
Somewhere between Bloodmoon Huntress and s1, Rayla loses sight of that, and she doesn't rediscover it until confronted by Amaya over how her leaving harmed Callum—and how it harmed Rayla herself. Amaya isn't the first to tell her how she hurt Callum, but she's the first one to really convey to Rayla that keeping her secrets and burdens from Callum isn't sparing him from their weight and pain, only weakening her. It has always weakened her. Until she turns that around, she is denying both of them their best selves—her as the light that will bring him out of any darkness, him as the anchor that will bring her home from any distance.
The end of s6 beautifully shows the culmination of all Rayla has learned in the slow return of her relationship with Callum, and to top it off, she gets to demonstrate it to Runaan. (Since Callum already knows.)
Trapped in the In-Between, Runaan is consumed by guilt and self-loathing—he fights Rayla's attempts to guide him back to life because he doesn't believe he deserves to go back. He's too ashamed to want to go back. The way Rayla brings him back is twofold:
She reminds him of his promise to Ethari—his promise to return. She made no promise to return to Callum when she left. She probably wanted to, but she believed that the sacrifices that might be demanded of her would be more important. It would at least be out of the question to return before finding Viren, but in the end that's what she does—she returns to Callum, even though she must do it defeated, ashamed, and alone.
She also tells him that she needs him. She needs her father. She's weaker with him not there for her. When she left Callum, she genuinely believed that things would be better that way. He'd be better off safely away from whatever danger her search brought her, and making sacrifices for the people she loves—taking on difficulty and danger alone, so they don't have to—has always been her duty. She's spent three seasons re-learning the strength she has with Callum, now it's time for her to do the same with Runaan.
Rayla is very different now than she was the last time they met, and Runaan—like Callum—is going to finally see the truth of her: that she was never meant to be an assassin, but not because of failure or weakness. She was always meant to be a hero.

I wonder if the VAs use crack when writing this episode because I am crying and laughing right now. Like, how can they cook this?
- Nexus x Bluey canon/ lol
- Sun secretly thinks Solar looks jacked when he is weight lifting??
- Nexus is Sun and Lunar and Moon's dad?
- Moon loses his pants and is an idiot baby???
Okay, but for most things, Dreams are what the subconscious mind wants to say so let's analyze this dude's dream.
- Sun feels like he is the older brother towards Moon, like he needs to do everything for Moon, like take care of him because Moon couldn't take care of himself/Sun's pov. Like even though Moon is very smart, but all his other life skills seem low compared to Sun.
(The lack of pants may be the conscious thing Sun thought of Moon incapable of taking care himself because Moon has eaten trash before)
Also, it feels like Sun secretly wants Moon to rely on him more. Like he feels happy when Moon becomes an idiot and he is the one who is responsible. He is treating Moon like one of his children.
- He still wants Bloodmoon as his brother. He also thinks of Solar Flares as his brother too. Damn, which means back then, Sun didn't hesitate to get rid of one brother after one, am I right?
- He thinks of Nexus as his daddy. (Okay I'm sorry, I'm joking, please don't punch me.) He still wants Nexus in his life. He wants nothing to happen, that Nexus is still in his family, still didn't do some of those horrible things. And that is sad with the way Sun keeps asking: Are you bad? Like even in this really weird dream, Sun couldn't let himself get some happiness with Nexus be in his life again.
His consciousness so strongly opposed the idea Nexus be back like knowing what happened never can be back again. And how he still half thinks of Nexus as Moon in his dream (calling him Moon the first time because if nothing happens, which means, Nexus is still moon, right?) but Nexus clothes has changed which means Sun also never think of Nexus as actually Moon. Just the brother he loves.
It really gives some bitter feelings seeing Sun's dream.

I learned that Dark Sun isn’t a part of the Bean Eclipse Au…..but that made me wonder how the others would’ve reacted when Eclipse got broken by Dark Sun?
Like the weird malfunction chip thing. (I don’t know how to explain it sorry. :[)
Well consisdering this au was WAYYY before eclipse v3/4 came by. (I know what you meant by the chip thing) I dont know how we'd get there. But heres to thinking of the hypothetical scenerio
Solar Flare would notice first. And by notice first I mean, after Eclipse is deliberately hiding it. (He still struggles to let people know when somethings wrong.) Confronted I do think Eclipse would let Solar Flare help find what it is. Without much luck- Eclipse getting more sluggish and struggling to move about gets more obvious. KC having to find out that way instead of being told (Something Solar Flare told Eclipse NOT to do-), pisses him off but that's not something he wants to focus on. Just asking Eclipse what happened- And hearing about a Dark Sun? KC's furious on Eclipse messing with the portal but determined to get Moon AND Monty to check his systems. They don't find anything at first. Considering they don't know what it is they're suppose to look for (what's out of place- But as we see in the episode it might not be what's added thats off but whats transmitting instead)
The slower and more ragged he gets, all the coughing is just distressing everyone. All except Bloodmoon. Who hasn't let up on his own bullying. Lunar even tries to ignore it but its hard to ignore that when you see him all the time. Opting to get between Bloodmoon and Eclipse more. KC being a stressed parent with a sick kid, is trying to find this Dark Sun, is lashing out or trying not to. Almost fruitless- Moon and Sun are on edge really, they may have mixed emotions on Eclipse however they're trying to help, Sun opting to hold Eclipse more (which makes eclipse mad but mans tired). Hell even moons proximity isn't getting Moon swiped at by Eclipse. Bloodmoon doesn't change his behavior, still kicking when Eclipse is down. Obviously this leads to everyone getting frustrated at him. Bloodmoon backs down for now but like- clearly isnt regretting it. Its only until KC snaps at Bloodmoon that its clear Bloodmoon backs off. Very quietly too. KC just has to sit with that for a moment. (he goes crush somethings, meditate for a while-) Lets see here, if this is resolved and the source found- Or maybe even just stops. Eclipse is alleviated. Everyone breaths a sigh of relief. They're still checking Eclipses' systems that they realize they overlooked something. Its only when its gone they realize what it couldve been but since its stopped they cant trace it. Bloodmoon does come back, he doesnt apologize to Eclipse, KC however takes bloodmoon away to properly talk. It doesnt go so well-
Eclipse isn't liking the fact Bloodmoon was just acting as himself but not surprised hell not even expected much else. Lunar... lunar did expect better. He's disappointed but- hey thigns are fine now. They can handle this KC can handle this- Solar Flare meanwhile finds Bloodmoon scratching at walls- and at himself. KC comes back, asked how Bloodmoon is. KC doesnt respond on that. Asks Eclipse how hes feeling. And what that Dark Sun had said. Solar Flare comes back arm torn off, asking what had happened to bloodmoon. This is getting rather long actually hmn. Anyway to the point, Eclipse gets chipped- handles it badly, Bloodmoon's own shenanigans lands him in hot water not just with KC but with Dark Sun. Which would get mostly everyone involved, Eclipse would get mad at Bloodmoon for even going near that guy but Dark Sun wouldve approached Bloodmoon. Which still would set off Eclipse cause thats Red Flags AND SOMEONE WASNT THINKIGN ABOUT THAT. Uh I dont know how this ends, Dark Sun's pretty smart enough but with the Bean AU its a bit more hmn, no one has died- uh again? For him to get Moon spiraling. He would use Bloodmoon given Bloodmoons more prone to just instigating stuff. He was probably hoping for Bloodmoon to kill someone by now actually. However KC;s convo with Bloodmoon, Eclipse in general and Solar Flare would be the ones to keep from everyone completely disowning Bloodmoon from attacking Solar Flare and general disregard to Eclipses health.
#Dark Sun's plans wouldnt go the best way here but would still jumble everyone up.#bean eclipse au#anyway me sitting here like well this longer than i thought but thats with like- mostly just kc's kids- Sun i could go into and even moon#Earth herself would be a subject to bUT ANYWAY#since we have maybe a half to dark suns plans int he show rn its just about to there#anyway the short of it everyone would be concerned but bloodmoon but thats a different topic

Okay that’s a relief. I’ve honestly been curious of how your au differs from canon, since the designs are so much different and clearly sun isn’t afraid of eclipse and solar flare doesn’t hate him. So what happened in this au? How is it set up?
Funny thing, I kind of don't have a whole idea of how the story is going to proceed, but I know how it starts and ends, which is something.
The changes really start after Bloodmoon is rebuilt (by the way, this AU takes place in the same universe as this post I made a while ago).
The premise of the story is that Jigsaw found one of Eclipse's backups and built a body for him.
When he is finally placed in the new body. Surprise! He's not an ordinary backup, he's the original Eclipse, who still remembers everything before he died.
One more surprise is that Solar Flare is with him, they also don't know how they got there.
And after that it's a little confusing for me about how the story is going, but one thing I know where it's going is the relationships between each character. First of all, yes, there will be ships, especially with Eclipse.
And about Sun and Eclipse, I like to imagine that Sun discovered that Eclipse was alive after finding him in a horrible situation, where he is almost dead or having a breakdown, problaby having a breakdown, and they end up building their relationship from there, with Sun understanding Eclipse in a way that he never thought he could and Eclipse respects and understands Sun in a way he didn't even know he was capable of.
I think I rambled a little too much about this AU lol, here are some references of the designs and other things:
Eclipse, in the start and the ending (and shirtless):
Jigsaw, because it's such a silly boy:
Solar Flare, they're that one character i draw every time i want to see boobs:
Sun, big boy, i love him:
Jigsaw and Ruin are completely different entities in this AU, because I can't get rid of Jigsaw, it's really funny to me:
Also, Ruin x Solar, you guys infected me I swear:
And for reference, the height comparison between the gang:

Hey Noffy again
These last three episodes. Honestly I am still in shock.
As someone that was in the middel all the time. Right now at least the fandom seems United in being pissed (at what part certainly different, but i don't see anyone really liking this arc)
Right now...I don't think I gather my thoughts enough to say anything about the track the celestial family's arcs are going. Just that I am disappointed.
I am trying to find a way they can safe this arc.
Wich lies with that last but in the mgafs episode. The 'this all feels very orgistrated, moon losing his mind. Killing bloodmoon'. Or something along those lines.
If based on that. There is a sort of 'virus' reveal that some people have been speculating. I want something else to happen.
It still needs to hurt. That earth and lunar gave up on moon. Like it's the virus that made it all so quick and violent? (If that's what they are going for)
But still keep that part of the angst? I dunno. Something along those lines (still don't want old moon back without new moon. Answering for whats going in or the family trying to help. )
Gosh and I hate that sun wasn't here. People saying he needs to make a decision and then he isn't here?
I am afraid of next episode and what they are gonna tell sun. Sun is gonna be so utterly broken.
Uugh I think I am gonna join everyone in the fanfic reading.
I am still holding a sliver of hope they can fix this.
Or more I WANT THE SHOW TO FIX THIS.
I have not been in this community long. (Got introduced just around when Bloodmoon came back. ( A little before that))
I have not interacted with people much except in comments on ao3. Or asks where I can be on anon as I can't use my main. Or in the comments of threads.
But the people have been kind to me. Even if I held a different opinion. I've seen the joy this show gave. The art that it creates. And I am scared this arc is gonna destroy all that. Because people lose motivation because of this arc.
I really really hope not.
I hope the show brings it back. I hope they can do something. Even if for right now it feels like shit.
-noffy
I missed your asks, Noffy 🥺💖
Tbh I had no idea people were speculating about a virus until yesterday, and honestly, if it all ends up being about a virus (or the Ruin virus on Moon) I'll still be so upset. Because I won't be able to stop thinking about how Moon changed a little, became more aggressive and his family abandoned him at the first "No, I don't want help."
This whole arc only confirms the worst fears of all Moons: they will never be loved. They will always be the bad guys. << Which is btw what New Moon feared and talked to Earth about in therapy.
This arc feels rushed, gross, and not only did destroy the family, Moon's entire development was thrown in the trash. They butchered Moon's character. How are they going to fix this? Why tarnish the name of one of the show's protagonists so badly? Someone they're going to need later?
And you know what I hate more than everything? Sun doesn't know anything about what's going on. Puppet went, told him "you have to make a decision", Sun couldn't do it and Puppet went and sent Moon into space. Without authorization from Sun. And I hope Sun is really upset about it in the next episode.
Oh! And by the way! Earth comparing Moon to the creator felt like a stab in the back. The creator is a horrendous being who killed children for his own benefit, who does horrible experiments, and who planned and killed many people. New Moon has never killed anyone, New Moon was always helping his family, New Moon bought a house so Sun could have a place to relax, New Moon helped make Earth's new body with love, New Moon was so concerned about Lunar's well-being (when Eclipse came back) that he asked for and helped build a bodyguard for him.
New Moon was there ALL THE TIME for everyone.
But no one was for him.
I propose that the entire fandom pretend that this arc never happened :3 💖

DADDY ECLIPSE AU!?!?!?
i need a better name oml
Overall Explanation
So basically, Eclipse and his three kids (Bloodmoon, Lunar, and Solarflare) (don't ask who got him pregnant) move to the suburbs for a better life. Though, they have to fit in with the rich suburbs standards so they don’t get casted out and burned like a witch.
Kids
Bloodmoon is the oldest. I had to change some things about him so he wasn’t suffering here. He wears contacts because of how messed up his eyes are. He can still see, it’s just harder and they have to fit in. He’s still violent, he just doesn’t crave blood. He takes out most of his aggression on the football team and his siblings (he beats them up) (not breaking their arms like that one ep BUT like how normal siblings fight). He’s not school smart but he is street smart (he can’t do division).
Lunar is the middle child but sadly he’s the shortest (4’11). Lunar’s a big nerd, not with numbers but with video games. He’s in the video game club (it has like 3 members) (ddlc type club lmao). He’s the one that’s the most picked on because of how nerdy and big backed he is. Speaking of being a hungry hippo, he’s favorite snacks are chips ahoy and scooby snacks. He’s a witch about how he pulls them out of thin air.
Solarflare is the youngest but taller than Lunar. He takes more after his father with his looks and also his actions. He rarely gets bullied by his siblings because he always comes up with the wildest comebacks. He’s extremely smart yet certain things he’s extremely stupid at (he can’t pronounce intelligent but he says it all the time) (he says “in-telli-bent”) But since he’s still an 11 year old, he loves childlike things. He has a little board in his room where he can draw with markers and he carries a big coloring book when he goes out.
FC (Fliex Cruz) (Yes I gave him a real name, he’s NOT gonna be named “Foxy’s Child" on MY WATCH) is Lunar’s age. They’re in most of the same classes and in the same club, they’re kind of frenemies. They have each other’s back but they still rival against each other in everything else. His biological parent isn’t Puppet (unless yall want that because idk rather to do that or not) (don’t ask who got Foxy pregnant) though he still treats her like his biological parent. Yes, he’s also taller than Lunar.
Jack is in Bloodmoon’s classes and doesn’t rival anyone but his uncle. He’s a chill dude for the most part. He still has his speech impediment and he’s still silly. Matter of fact, he’s still the same except for the fact that he’s also friends with Solarflare. Bro might be perfect.
Dazzle is in Solarflare’s classes. She’s not that good friends with him but it’s more like how cousins treat each other. You probably won’t see each other often but you still got each other's back. Yes they’re actually cousins here but they don’t know it lmao. Anyways, just like Jack, Dazzle still acts the same. She’s literally perfect. I love her.
Other TSBS Kids are blank for now. I have no ideas for them since I don’t watch the other shows often enough but they're going to be in here! Give me ideas for them PLEASE or I will explode. Don’t worry, I’ll also watch and read up about them!
Parents
Eclipse starts out as version 1 Eclipse but through this crazy thing called character development, he acts more like version 4 or whatever version we have now (i cant keep track of his deaths). He is very blunt and he speaks his mind, often thinking he’s the smartest in the room. He goes based on logic rather than heart. For example, let’s say Bloodmoon puts someone in the hospital. The person hit first but their hospital stay is most likely 6 months. The school wants to suspend him and the mother wants to sue but Eclipse takes Bloodmoon side because “If you don’t want the smoke, don’t start the fire.”. He does care for his kids but he just doesn’t know how to be a father.
Puppet is still the same for the most part. Bro is perfect. She’s the main person helping Eclipse be better but not to replace Solar since she hasn’t met him yet or any other theories. Simply for the kid’s sake. Here, she acts like a motherly figure to all kids. (she loves babying bloodmoon lmao). Though she can come up with wild insults.
Foxy still acts remotely the same except for the fact that he’s actually present (lemme stop roasting the canon lmao). Though, he is now married to the Puppet and has been like that for 5 years (que fireworks for treasurebox fans). Similar to Puppet, Foxy also ends up accidentally being fatherly towards most kids he meets too. He’s just the suburban way I guess.
Sun doesn’t really show up much since he has a history with Eclipse. Not the exact same as the canon but Eclipse was still tryna box him and Moon. He still acts the same though he did adopt Dazzle here (fireworks for ppl who love the sun and dazzle father-daughter dynamic). He doesn’t know that Dazzle and Jack are hanging out with Eclipse’s kids so he’ll probably pull up when he finds that out.
Solar still acts the same, basically the same as Sun. Him and the rest of the canon main cast will show up eventually though!
Other TSBS Parents are blank for now. I have no ideas for them since I don’t watch the other shows often enough but they're going to be in here! Give me ideas for them PLEASE or I will explode. Don’t worry, I’ll also watch and read up about them!
Other Adults
Moon still acts the same though I’m making him a middle school science teacher for middle school. He’s gonna be that cool science teacher that makes stuff explode and asks you not to tell your parents.
Earth still acts the same though she’s the elementary school guidance counselor and a bit of a helper. She’s not the annoying ones that tell you your “I feel statements”, she’ll actually help Solarflare express his feelings in a nicer way (he literally insults people on accident).Other Characters will be added such as ocs (as teachers, principles, bosses, etc) and other TSBS characters once I figure out what to do with them! I have an idea for Miku, to be a love interest for Eclipse at work but it’s more like Amy and Sonic.

Honestly? All your evidence against Ruin is very very true, very very sus, and very very convenient for him.
I think the only reason why I want him to be innocent to some degree (either revealed he's still being controlled and not that just being him) is I don't want Moon's paranoia to be validated. That is literally it. If Moon is right to be suspicious, that he was right in doing everything he did with Ruin-
I just really really do not want that paranoia to be justified. That is literally it.
All your evidence is probably right though, Ruin, please be a better actor you have gained the ability to be subtle but that is really not helping you.
The thing is that, Moon feels he was disproven in his paranoia and that he decided to give Ruin leniency.
Which is why Ruin was able to get away from Moon, and ask for dimensional travel.
I have a feeling Ruin put a lot of things in place to assure that he would infiltrate Sun and Moon near perfectly.
Considering the latest MAFS episode (which I feel is very important considering how Daycare Attendant centric it is)

"Cured" Ruin and Bloodmoon have not met up yet.
And I have a feeling they will very soon. And Bloodmoon was built with the sole purpose of being Ruin's minion. And Bloodmoon hasn't outgrown that purpose. Right now, Bloodmoon has no directive, and is taking orders from Stitchwraith, but once his maker comes back into the table, I feel all bets are off the table.
Also, lets rewind for a bit... What if Moon's earlier paranoia about Ruin is proven true...
THAT would have MASSIVE benefits that we aren't even thinking about. Like at this point, Moon's paranoia proven right would just help them rather then help them.
They'll trust Eclipse
Eclipse will be taken more seriously and less like a madman or feral child that Moon needs to manage.
Eclipse will get to be something else other then a villain or just an inconvenience for once.
THIS WILL NOT HELP MOON'S EGO AT ALL. For those who think Moon would gloat like "ha! I was right!" I don't think it'll be like that. HE'D FEEL BETRAYED and utterly devastated. It's one thing to be suspicious of someone. But to have those suspicions disproven and not being proven and put your trust into them despite all that and then the evil villain you've built in your head (Eclipse) turned out to be right the whole time and you fucked it all up by not listening to the untrustworthy one.
Remember Eclipsev3 was crying when he was captured because he knew it wouldn't matter what he said, no one would ever trust his word against Ruins? Eclipse would be given trust for the first time ever....
And you know what. AFTER ALL THIS TIME. SUN AND MOON DO NOT KNOW ECLIPSE'S BACKSTORY. As far as Sun and Moon know, Eclipse was a killcode that became sentient and started evil shit for no reason. I hope this will open the door for that conversation to be had.
Not to Mention, Evil Sun today told Moon that he should actually LISTEN to Eclipse. Cause if he doesn't, it just means that this universe will die faster.
I am also surprised that none of the characters call Ruin out specifically for lying. As I have caught him lying several times and none of the characters seem to be wise to it.
Eclipse when he was threatening Ruin did not even think to bring up the Magical Barrier he has encountered twice now. He didn't think to bring up how he was made from Arcade machines either.
All Eclipse thought about was his rage, but if he defused Ruin with logic, he could have easily caught him, other then just going "BUT YOU DID IT! WAH"
Ruin contradicts and changes his story so many times in the span of a few seconds and it has been proven in his Interrogation under the Virus he is a chronic lair. Lie detectors don't work. You have to catch him verbally in a contradiction. Which he has Spouted MANY.
So I always hoped that Moon, Solar or Eclipse would point out these purposeful contradictions but No characters do.
RUIN LEGIT SAID ALOUD "I don't know magic."
Okay. Then he said way earlier: "I constructed this magical barrier to trap you"
....... Okay. YOu can copy a spell, but even COPYING a spell itself is KNOWING magic. The mana has to come from SOMEWHERE. He's not pulling it out of his ass!
Eclipse NOR Moon called this out.
Ruin knows that NewMoon is not as experienced in Magic as OldMoon was. (WHICH MOON ADMITS) and Ruin is taking advantage of that.
Not to mention Eclipse’s magic circle is just an exact copy of Old Moon’s magic circle and wasn’t made by someone knowledgeable in magic.
Ruin being scared of Eclipse almost everytime he encounters him is interesting.
BECAUSE HE IS LEGIT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS. ALMOST LIKE HE'S OVERSELLING HIM.
One moment, Ruin will cower over Eclipse and act traumatized by him, but then he talks about plans about making Star-Powered type Nukes (LEGIT. HE DID.) and then gloat over Eclipse...
Not to mention, Eclipse had never tortured Ruin. He threatened him, sure, but he never physically harmed him. He left before he could do so. But Ruin told Moon and Sun that Eclipse physically tortured him for a long time... BUT THAT'S NOT TRUE. Because Eclipse just threatened torture and the moment Ruin mentioned the Creator, Eclipse went off chasing that wild goose.
So the question comes down to motive... Why do all this with Eclipse.
Well, to accelerate the Death of the Universe. Not just ours.
The Tsams universe is not the main universe. But it's a pillar universe. Meaning if it goes down it takes a few others down with it.
RUIN WANTS TO DESTROY MULTIPLE DIMENTIONS.
Why????
Where did Ruin come from?
What is his dimension?
He has a virus in him that makes him subservient to the Creator in his home world. (if not a little unhinged and bound for destruction and amplifying the violent parts of his personality)
What did the Creator of that dimension want?
He wanted to accelerate the death of the universe by star power so he could study it.
........well.
He already did that with his own dimension.
The creator needs more control samples for multiple dimensions rotting.
And why the hell does the Creator have a cure for the Ruin virus when it's beneficial to him in the long term?
Even Sun said he grabbed something he "thought" was a Cure, and Moon seemed unsure if it was a cure in the first place too.
All Ruin said it did was "cure the fog" from his head. Which makes me think that he's less focused on playing games... (like the Monty of Ruin's dimension thought he was a freakshow) so I think that Ruin is just more focused in long term goals... Also I think his goal was always to pretend to be cured. Looking back in how he acted and what he did when he took over last Halloween.
Ruin, He already knew Bloodmoon was rebelling against him. The protocols he put in bloodmoon to be obedient weren't working how he intended. So he made Eclipse with STRICTER protocols to not make the same mistake and to cause chaos among the Sun and Moon duo.
Eclipse is a distraction so that he can RUIN everything.

Moon in the Killswap AU, to go along with Sun! This Swap AU explores TSAMS if Sun had been the one with the killcode – and by extension, Moon is the one Eclipse manifests inside of.
The twins’ backstory is almost the same as canon. Moon was born with no control over the body, and was angry and lashed out at Sun for this (and was an asshole to pretty much everyone else when he did have control.) Sun was afraid of him, but still tried to reach out. They came to an understanding, became brothers, and found a way to separate.
Where the backstory differed is with Sun. His killcode was like a switch that activated when he was pushed to a limit, reacting to abuse, mistreatment, the breaking of rules. Moon’s abuse was one of the things that could trigger Sun’s killcode, which emotionally destroyed Sun every time he came back to himself to find someone dead by his hands; during these early years, Moon was so bitter about his circumstances that he sometimes egged Sun on and mocked him for his efforts to not kill people.
But eventually, he knew Sun was not to blame, and wanted to change for the better. He wanted to help Sun suppress his Killcode. So, he separated them, so they could start a new chapter in their lives.
But Sun considered himself too weak to ever fully control his killcode – so while they were in the process of separating, he secretly snuck it through the datastream into Moon’s head, who he thought would never be affected by it.
And Eclipse manifested inside of Moon, who was “Sun” trapped alone within the mind of his abuser…
And a year later Eclipse shows up and begins his crusade to ruin the brothers’ lives and to find the Star to bring order to the world! While inside Moon, he starts amplifying Moon’s faults. He eggs on his abusive behavior towards Sun, his assholish behavior to others, and, one of Moon’s biggest struggles: his controlling nature.
Because these are all faults that Moon has, and Eclipse shines an especially strong light on them. This causes tension between the brothers as they try to figure out what to do, when Eclipse keeps hijacking Moon’s body in search of that Star.
(Especially when Sun’s killcode starts regenerating, and as with before, when Moon is abusive towards Sun, that is one of the big triggers to make the killcode’s influence stronger and stronger until Killcode as a sapient entity is strong enough to be born. For Sun’s arc, the killcode is like a metaphor for “taking revenge and hurting the people who hurt you back,” which Sun desperately wants to fight against.)
And so, one of the big parts of the AU is Moon having to learn to be a better person – to keep changing for the better -- to unlearn his abusive patterns. That will be the key.
Because one thing’s for sure: Sun is the most important person in Moon’s world. Even during the times when he hurts him, he still loves him more than anything. He vows he WILL protect Sun (and the rest of his family that come later), he will keep Eclipse from the Star so he can’t use it to kill them, he will save Sun when Solar is implanted in his head (and later, protect Solar when he is their brother), he will find a way to remove Sun’s killcode when it regenerates and becomes sentient.
(But it won’t be that easy. And, well, when things keep NOT going his way, Moon might end up with a very unhappy arc that ends in disastrous consequences the way it did for Sun when Sun killed Bloodmoon…)
And that’s an overview for Moon!
Some other notes:
Moon has very little knowledge of Magig. Sun is the master magic user.
Moon is the one who suffered July 16 because of the Blacksun Burn Twins, and boy is he mad at them.
Roxanne replaces Monty and is Sun’s close friend. Whether there is a crush or not, Moon still teases Sun about having a crush on Roxanne.
It’ll be fun to write how Moon interacts differently with Solar and Killcode when they control Sun’s body. (He first realizes Solar is in there when Solar isn’t good at acting happy and jittery like Sun.) (But he haaaaates Killcode’s guts sososo much you guys.)
(It will also shine a light on Killswap Moon’s difference between Old Moon and New Moon from TSAMS canon.)
That’s him! I should probably draw Eclipse next!

I've been seeing some people express concern for Bloodmoon on this post SO i'm going to throw in some extra context and Bloodmoon lore to clear some things up
Honestly i probably should have done this a long time ago BUT ANYWAYS-
The sudden change for them was very.. shocking to put it kindly. A very drastic change but after the initial shock Bloodmoon is very euphoric - Just happy and whimsical and freed because they're in a new form that just feels right even if they havn't fully come to terms as to why yet.
But existential crisis still boils under the surface and it's not til sometime later that it breaks out.
This is Bloodmoon shortly after the transformation -
- cheery, silly, happy. Sun and Moon arnt worried for too long because they seem happy (and in a way they're kind of flattered that their fae friend decided to take a form similar to their own - they've met many kids who dressed up like/wanted to be like the glamrocks afterall so this isnt too odd for them)
This is when the existential crisis/questioning moment really hits home
(happens while they are out too which only quickened it what with anxiety being around people and all)
Now the reason they changed in the first was because they realised they had fallen in love (platonically) with Sun and Moon. Their shapeshifting specifically is very emotional based and will trigger usually when high emotion is felt. This is the biggest physical change they have ever had however, and the most impactful.
And why did they turn red like the Bloodmoon you might wonder? Well 1. Lunar Eclipse, or Eclipse vibes specifically and 2. Have you ever heard of the red string? ~
But yeah right after the change they would be too caught up in the euphoria of feeling whole and comfortable in a new body and identity to really acknowledge the panic beneath the surface. And the crisis kicks in over time because they had been very much the non-partnering type before and never saw theirself ever truly falling for anyone (again even in a platonic sense)
They would talk to Sun and Moon after this, and while feelings would not be outright admitted there would absolutely be understanding there and acceptance which is all they really need. They become qpp's over time after that.
Also i mentioned in the tags of my last post that this is basically irreversable and thats because the only way it could be reversed is if they stopped loving Sun and Moon (which ofc they could never)
They loved them enough to make them part of theirself - and in a way Sun and Moon do the same when they get tails installed to match (I'm a sentimental sap and tails are fun)
They're robots too so one thing that they have in common with a fae is they can also alter their forms to an extent ;D tho in this case they just wanted to have tails so they could be more like Bloodmoon.
Both parties adopting pieces of each other into their respective selves/identities out of love shared for each other.

I brained
ANYWAYS I had an idea of how to rewrite Nexus's villain arc. I didn't really care for it either way, so these are ideas to make it more interesting (at least to me).
I write this with the intention to follow the TSBS writing rules that I am aware of, but I don't know many so… my bad ig.
(This also got long, can you tell I like writing shit like this?)
First of all, what did I not like about Nexus? Well, like many, I wasn't all that fond of the rate he became evil. I didn't like his motivations, which is somewhere between wanting to become an unstoppable powerhouse and wanting control of his life? I think?
Not bad motivations, yes, but how he got to those motivations? Mm… no…
Another thing I wasn't fond of regarding Nexus would probably be his behaviour as a villain, and the lack of respect everyone gave him. Nexus, and other characters, take himself and his goals quite seriously.
Nexus is a threat.
However, he doesn’t act like one, nor does anyone else really behave like he is. Half the time it feels like they're watching some snot-nosed kid sharing his new war story he made with his plushies.
Thirdly, the whole prior arc Nexus had going on before becoming Nexus just became irrelevant. Now, I don't want to sound too much like a conspiracy theorist, but this drop in care for Solar happens to have been around the time shipping discourse got really bad. Just before I joined the fandom, essentially.
Anywho!
So here is how, in hindsight, I would have written this (Please, please, please remember that I have no ill will to the writers or anything. Yes I'm disappointed with Nexus, but in all honesty this arc was not the absolute worst and it had its very good moments. I'm just sharing my own ideas).
Taking how focused Nexus got on reviving Solar, I would have his villain arc more focused on it.
His old motivations:
Power
Control
New motivation:
Bringing back Solar/Keeping His Family Safe
Don't worry! This still encompasses power and control, but in a way that links back to his previous behaviours.
First event I’d change would be when Nexus kidnapped Earth with Bloodmoon.
Quick disclaimer, I skipped through that set of episodes because I was like, four straight days into trying to watch every lore vid and hadn't been to school for any of those days, but to better align that event with how I'm changing Nexus, it'd have to be Lunar or Sun that got kidnapped.
Why? Well, Nexus actually had a good relationship with Earth and him thinking of her as mere collateral makes no sense. On the other hand, Sun and him had a rocky relationship at the time and from what I can tell Lunar and Nexus weren't incredibly fond of eachother.
Plus, Nexus could justify attacking Lunar as he thought Lunar would've been strong enough to take it or protect himself specifically.
So now Nexus is floating in space; angry, hurt, dejected, hapless… and who should come to his rescue but Dark Sun? In this version, Dark Sun would offer Nexus shelter and anything he wanted as long as Nexus did some tasks for him. Hysteric and grieving, Nexus agrees to go with him.
Nexus is definitely hesitant about the Dragon and Dark Star Power. As long as Dark Sun and Nexus aren't about to kill each other at every turn that should work and stay somewhat the same as canon.
If you can't tell this is (so far) sticking to canon progression as much as possible.
Moving on, Monty brings back Moon just the same as canon. The only difference is that it takes longer for Earth to warm up to Moon, considering she hasn't heard the best stuff about his attitude.
Skipping to when Moon and Nexus meet, I imagine there'd be heavy miscommunication between Moon and Nexus. Moon would leave the conversation assuming Nexus doesn't mean well for anyone in the family and Nexus would leave the conversation assuming that they had never liked him and were only waiting for him to leave before replacing him. Both their hackles would be raised.
When Solar is revived, he immediately asks about Sun and Nexus, because they were the last people he saw. He then immediately follows up with the rest of the family. Upon hearing about Nexus “turning evil”, Solar goes into denial, refusing to believe it until he sees it.
How I imagine Solar and Nexus meet is as follows: Dark Sun gives Nexus another task, data collection. Nothing harmful, he assures. Nexus obliges because these tasks are essentially how he pays rent, and he can't leave yet. While waiting for the data, Nexus decides to pay Moon a visit.
After finding the new address (something that infuriates him, because did the house he bought with Sun just mean nothing now that Moon is back?) Nexus enters and taunts Moon. Teasing turns into a genuine argument between the two, which Solar walks into. Nexus and Solar freeze upon seeing each other, Nexus leaving shortly after.
A quick thing to note, is that around this point, Nexus’s behaviour isn't too different, but he's beginning to become very unstable. The reasoning for this is because in this version, the Wither Storm’s proximity is causing issues, to both Nexus and Ruin. Dark Sun is fine due to him not being in the dimension for too long, but Nexus ends up actually going insane (or close to it) and Nexus is slowly dipping into insanity. He is not aware of this until it's far too late.
So in Nexus's mind, he's rejoicing that Solar is alive, but is horribly panicked that someone dangerous like Moon is near Solar. So while he spends time making a cell/room for Solar, to keep him safe, Dark Sun manipulates him into using Dark Star Power to further protect Solar.
From then on, Nexus makes several attempts to get Solar to come with him, first with offers, then with manipulation, then…
Then with force as Nexus gets increasingly hysterical.
Other things he'd do, Nexus would still need the wither shards so he'd still go after Sun. He'd also try and get Earth to come with him because she's similarly important to Nexus.
As his mental state deteriorates, he’d begin to act more like the Nexus we know, if a little less pathetic. Just a little.
I'm no good at endings and fine-details however, so I wouldn't know what ending to give him. The ending we got works pretty well for this, though it'd be far more adjusted to include more elements of whatever Dark Sun was doing.

We all know that some books are written after movies...
And we could possibly write some shows into a book/book series because when watching something that's illogical, we think of rewriting it to be more logical—we normally imagine writing shows as a novel nonetheless if they're logical or not.
And... The Sun and Moon Show exist... (also Murder Drones but that's possibly going to have a second season in it so not right now)
Yeah, we're thinking about writing TSaMS as a novel. The titles going to be unoriginal (Sun and Moon Show the Novel or some shit like that, and we wanna change it so bad but have no ideas) and we might rewrite some parts to fit better with the storyline. We also will have to rewatch... everything. This production (if we start) will most likely take two years as the only plan we have is to rewatch the first video (we haven't fully planned it our yet, but it will mostly be vrchat videos, and the first video is a flashback from [possibly] a few months ago) each day (or a few in one day if possible) and write down their quotes and each action (because we want to be logical). We don't know if that'll be copyright if we do decide to publish said work. We doubt it, though. Besides, we could post it here or onto Quotev—most likely the latter.
There most likely will be every takeover (so far) into separate books, or we will format it in a different way (even though having a video as each chapter may seem short, we've done it and it is about eight pages AT LEAST) as the Ruin & Bloodmoon takeover might be too short for a individual book (however, the time between the takeovers/normal stuff might have to be separated as well). Each chapter will probably be different character's povs, but if a character in a show is shown their pov more than once, then that pov will be seconded (that made no sense, but say it's Moon's pov for one video/chapter then the next video on the channel is based around Moon's pov then it will be Moon again). The pov changes that already happen in the channel's videos will be separate chapters (most likely, unless the chapter is too short for our liking [if the chapter is one page long at most, even if it's slightly on the backside of the page, then it's too short for our liking. We have a plan for that though if this happens]).
Anyways, that's our plan. Time to put a shit ton of tags so people can see it.
#sun and moon show#sams#art#laes#sams novel#tsams novel#wait has anyone done this before already?#hopefully not...#tsams#the sun and moon show#yippeeeeee#sun sams#moon sams#earth sams#solar sams#ruin sams#eclipse sams#lunar sams#creator sams#it's funny how the creator didn't have a tag lmao#tsams characters#jack o moon sams#dazzle deer sams#dazzle sams#tsams sun#tsams moon#tsams eclipse#ok we'll stop with the tags#sike#sun tsams

I know I’m getting overly obsessed with a character when I pull out the physical paper and pencil.
So far during the rewatch of TSAMS, I’ve been typing all my notes in Discord. Tonight, though, something was urging me to physically write stuff down. Anything not related to Eclipse was still typed, but Eclipse has officially gotten a spot in our notebook for character analysis.
Like, fun fact, Killcode called Eclipse his child before he did Bloodmoon. Completely unprompted as well. He only called Bloodmoon his child as a bribe to get them on his side. Even threatened Bloodmoon if they ever decided to attack his “son”. Eclipse was obviously Killcode’s favorite before something happened to change it to Bloodmoon. Especially since Killcode didn’t see Bloodmoon as his actual child when they first teamed up. They were just a means to getting Eclipse.
There’s also a moment in a previous episode where Eclipse is acting as Sun to get Moon angry, and says something along the lines of “you’re just like Eclipse”. While it was definitely a poke at Moon, I wonder how much Eclipse actually believes that statement. Moon/Killcode says the line, “I’m a useless hunk of garbage scrapped virus that you had to pry out of your head, in order to ‘not feel so much pain’.” The statement was directed at who he thought was Sun at the time, but sounds an awful lot like how Eclipse felt about Moon. With how Eclipse has canonically been shown to have guilt over his actions, I feel Eclipse internalizes that statement. He subconsciously views himself as useless and a nuisance. Due to that, he acts like he does so he can’t be disappointed if when people don’t like him. He knows it’s wrong, which explains the guilt, but he only sees himself as a bad guy. So why try to be anything different?
Eclipse is constantly being rotated in my brain under a microscope. I need to understand him.

And as promised, here they are! Movement notes for the Sunrise Arc Theatre AU! First off, because they’re like my favorite character or something, the Blood Twins!
Known for being incredibly close to one another, these two tend to twirl and circle each other whenever they perform together, it’s one of the things that got them their roles to begin with, alongside the fluidity of their movement and the way they convey emotions through their body language. They have fun when they perform together, that much was clear since the very beginning, they bring a dangerously fun vibe to the stage with their blurry red twirls and fuzzy bluish spins.
To best exemplify their teamwork let’s take a look at their “solo” songs
From the First October Takeover arc, the Dismemberment Song was Hunter and Harvest’s singing debut, used by the lore in Bloodmoon and Eclipse’s battle. During the first verse and chorus only one twin will be around but by the second both red menaces will be on stage. They circle and taunt Eclipse (played by Tabby), dodging most of his attacks and tag teaming him until they “fuse back together” which means that one of them sneaked into the background and will exit stage soon.
However there was an exception to that line of events, the very first performance of this arc, wherein it had been agreed that instead of having Hunter grab a hidden scythe prop, Harvest herself would shapeshift into the scythe. Despite the rehearsals and in spite of both twin’s slow realization of how taxing a choreography this song was, they went fully with this plan, ending up in what is now the official recording of the play. And it looked cool. It did not feel as cool, however, once the adrenaline of the performance wore off and both twins found themselves extremely exhausted. When asked they both said that it was worth it but neither would ever do that again.
Quite the introduction by all means, and certainly one of their favorite performances, but there’s another song the twins like more. And it couldn’t be any more different than their introduction
End of year 2023, post Takeover, the Bloodmoons find themselves at odds with one another after being reunited, but they aren’t the type to part for long and soon enough find themselves sorting out their disagreement in More Than Anything. Hunter and Harvest spin around quite a lot in the last third of this heart wrenching duet, in contrast to them staying the furthest apart they’ve been when both are on stage at once during the first third of the song. Tho unlike their first song, they don’t have difficulties in the choreography here, spinning around comes naturally to them, it’s the emotional escalation of the song that proved to be tricky.
Specifically for Hunter. He’d end up crying after basically every rehearsal, needing about five minutes to compose himself, so when the actual performance came around, it took all his willpower to not break out into sobs onstage. Harvest for her part hadn’t cried during rehearsals, if anything her voice would get quieter, an indication that she was getting emotional, but not much else. Until it was time for the first performance, and to everyone’s (including Harvest) surprise, she did cry. How those two managed to finish the song with an extraordinary amount of not many voice cracks is beyond everyone.
Still, even with such a reaction from them both, this stands as their favorite song to perform together.
Now on the other side of the coin, we have the times when the twins aren’t moving in their usual ways. They don’t twirl, don’t spin, you can barely tell they’re there or they stick out awkwardly. The Hallucination Bloodmoons and Bloodmoon II are the clearest cases of this.
The change can be appreciated more during the non-song parts of the play, however if enough attention is paid, the change in behavior can also be seen in their performances.
Following Sun around and observing him from the background, the Hallucinations act nothing like the physical Bloodmoon.
Barely show any emotion, and barely move at all, having to act as the Hallucinations was a very tough job for the twins, not moving around just isn’t natural for them. We suppose that adds to the uncanniness of the characters.
Jigsaw and Bloodmoon’s duet, Battle of the Bands, showed the first signs of the dissonance between the so called brothers. At some points it appeared as if Bloodmoon was trying to copy and predict Jigsaw’s movements, movements that wouldn’t be usual of the bloodthirsty killer, even bumping into Jigsaw at a failed attempt at a spin once.
Funny thing it is that Ruin and Hunter actually have great chemistry on stage. It was their idea to have it appear as if Bloodmoon was trying to improvise their movements since they weren’t connecting with Jigsaw’s. Foreshadowing, said Ruin when asked.
And speaking of foreshadowing, we’d be damned not to mention one of the most pivotal moments in the killing duo’s arc.
Placed in the middle of the arc, Ruin’s iconic rendition of You’ll be Back is a fan favorite, whether the admiration comes from the singing talent or the charm put into it, no one can deny just how fun this song is to listen to. Unless you’re Bloodmoon and it’s your 5073rd time listening to it.
From the beginning, Bloodmoon is not thrilled about this one. Refusing to get up or even look at Jigsaw, they comedically timed the extra pause the Brit took before the iconic lyric dropped, still clearly not wanting anything to do with it. Soon enough they are dragged out of their seat and are made to dance by Jigsaw, but for once they don’t seem to be having fun. There’s a turn on Bloodmoon’s behavior when Jigsaw gets aggressive for a second during the second half of the song, they appear weirded out, put off, maybe even a bit scared, they had previously made excuses for they supposed brother’s behavior, but were they really sure they didn’t mean it at all? By the time Jigsaw is carrying them, Bloodmoon turns to the audience, an unclear expression on their face. The virus turns it around them once more however, by invoking some of the usual dance moves of the twins, spinning Hunter around but not themselves.
Even without the earlier context of the plot, the choreography makes it clear that there’s a really big conflict boiling in the background, even with the funny lyrics and cheeky mannerisms of the Virus. An odd mix of comedy and uncomfortableness this one is. Very fun to perform for the actors though, Ruin having memorized the song by heart and Hunter often finding it extremely difficult to not move alongside the rhythm.
Something worth noting about this one should be the many attempts it took for Ruin to be able to correctly carry Hunter. There were many times where the smaller bot slipped to the floor or when both animatronics fell at once. They still refused to change the move, both claiming that it was important to the character’s arcs.
And now with enough context for the Blood Twins’ movement, let us look at some other of their performances!
Playing the part of the Hyenas in Be Prepared, Harvest is poked in the forehead by Moon (playing KillCode). Quite the comedic scene on a song about the arc’s villains teaming up
Having a couple seconds to spare, we see Hunter goofing off a bit right before getting wheeled on stage for the scene of Bloodmoon falling into their coma. How he manages to go from a goofy mood to kinda-technically-dying in so little time is a mystery
Another of the Hallucination’s appearances, this time more resembling of a ghost, Harvest can be spotted in the background all throughout It’s Quiet Uptown. Her stoic demeanor is turned to a sort of compassion during this song, just another of the things in this performance that are meant to make any who see it cry
Hunter can be seen during some parts of Right Hand Man, though you’d be luckier to try and spot his voice amongst the backing vocals. Honestly though, that whole scene is a bit of a mess so you can be spared for missing his appearance
The Crescent family’s song, I’ve Got a Dream, is chock full of small moments of characterization for all members. Whether it’s Stars reading out Queso’s lyrics for him as he signs, the collective “children” rolling their eyes at KC’s mention of romance, Flare fetching everyone’s props, or Harvest pushing Monty offstage, there’s not a second where nothing is happening on stage
Both the twins (playing the Hallucinations) are seen on stage alongside Flare (playing Eclipse II possessing them) and Sun, clapping their hands and stomping their feet in unison with the music. It doesn’t come off as a surprise that the twins can act in unison, but it doesn’t remove the creepy aspect of seeing their silent frames stare at Sun as he moves around, movements perfectly coordinated
The argument between Jigsaw and Bloodmoon II is one of the most important points in the Takeover, being what fully places Bloodmoon’s allegiance with the Celestials. Hunter manages to deliver with his short but very powerful performance of Someone Gets Hurt Reprise, his vocal range fully shining through
A late addition to the musical but something deemed lighthearted and important enough to put in, Bloodmoon I’s bizarre way of coming out to her family. Harvest was very excited when getting the news she’d be performing this song, being one of her favorites ever, she and her fellow cast members went all out on the choreography, and to say it was spectacular would be an understatement

*inhale* I hate the Puppet and Eclipse show soooo much.
Like they could’ve just abandoned the channel and have Eclipse just occasionally show up like KC did for awhile before he died and Bloodmoon before he became a full fledged villain. But noooo we needed more reason to hate Puppet and feel bad for Eclipse.
I already wanted to punch Puppet and Sunshine, but now I also wanna punch Moonshine.
Moonshine: *wont stop badgering Eclipse*
Eclipse: *finally spits out what exactly he is*
Moonshine: *doesn’t believe him and sticks with the narrative that Eclipse was just using him*
Moonshine, dude, Eclipse was legit trying to tell you without activating his own trauma, fuck off!
Puppet don’t you give Eclipse a lecture about not just leaving Moonshine alone! You refused to leave Eclipse multiple times alone and Moonshine came after him!
Oh my god Puppet…YOU’RE THE ONE WHO WANTED ECLIPSE TO LOOK INTO ANOTHER HYPOTHETICAL ECLIPSE BEING CREATED! Why is it suddenly Eclipse’s fault for treating this personally?!
Puppet spent so much time explaining that alternate dimensions are in fact real when he could’ve just told Moonshine “Eclipse did in fact deal with another Sun and Moon, in fact he came from a piece of their code that was left behind when they split. He felt abandoned especially from the fact they both didn’t even realize he was sentient until he showed himself and that hurt him so he lashed out.”
Eclipse is as much of the victim in this situation as Moonshine, why is it only on Eclipse to apologize when Moonshine accused him of so many horrible things when for once in Eclipse’s life he is actually trying to be better in a way!
Yes, Eclipse shouldn’t be lashing out at a Sun and Moon who didn’t actually do anything, but that doesn’t give Moonshine the right to lash out when Eclipse is trying to help him and it certainly doesn’t give Puppet, the only reason Eclipse is anywhere near this dimension in the first place, the right to try and make him feel bad for getting involved with something he was pressured into getting involved with!
Puppet can claim to be Eclipse’s friend all he wants, but that doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t even try to understand him or his trauma. Like you could’ve at least asked him if he was ok after the dude was literally badgered into spilling his trauma by someone who immediately denied it ever even existed!
