it had started slowly, with them preventing you from going on missions and putting other spiders on the job

but your spider instincts soon kicked in, and you insisted on going on the mission

so they had a silent agreement that their eyes exchanged and managed to find an anomaly that was far too tough, sending you out in its dimension, alone, supervising you with the security screens

the anomaly was horrible, far too fast for you, far too powerful, far too cruel. It wounded you with terrible ease, while you struggled to even scratch it.

you found yourself in a corner, at the mercy of the anomaly, and of course, absolute fear gripped you along with the panic of not getting out of there

you screamed repeatedly for them to come and get you, as the anomaly was closing in fast, but they needed you to understand. you were completely weakened and scared you'd never be able to finish this fight, tears streaming down your cheeks as you called out to them, and they finally arrived.

they quickly took care of the anomaly, then came back to you, sobbing and shaking in the corner. they took you in their arms, cuddling you gently, whispering "now you see why we don't want to send you on a mission? it's far too dangerous, do you understand?"

you had to go through a painful little lesson to realize how much you needed them, didn't you?

they took you back to the infirmary, where they remained at your bedside until your recovery was complete

since then, you've never been on a mission again

you were a little bit too traumatized by the experience, and they'd managed to make sure that they were the only people you could turn to in case of trouble

so they offered to let you live in their apartment so they could be ready to provide for your every need, which you accepted. and on the very day of the offer, you moved in with them - they'd already had a room ready for you about a month before

it wasn't long before the three of you were growing closer together - which is, of course, somewhat inevitable when three people live together

the looks Miguel and Peter sometimes shared when they saw you were full of pride and mischief

you'd been badly scolded. what if something had happened to you and they hadn't been able to get there in time to help? what if someone came to you and asked you to do a job for them that you couldn't refuse? What if someone was mean to you?

their anger had frightened you terribly, and you'd ended up in tears

they took you in their arms, reassuring you, comforting you and making you promise never to do anything like that again

it was from that moment on that your restrictions on going out were tightened. you couldn't go out without the company of one of them, and if you wanted to go out alone, Lyla was there to watch your every move.

Yeah honestly your worries aren't entirely unfounded, people on twitter particularly are just massively weird about it. They're for some reason determined to not actually pay attention to actual facts or reality and continue on with some really fucked, absolutely baseless narratives about Dream in particular.

I can't say I specifically have had issues but I also have had such a bad experience in phandom in general and specifically with twitter phandom that I just avoid interacting there. You pretty much nailed it with the bit about ostracization.

You're right first of all about the fact that there's a lot to unpack beyond the "it's two consenting adults in a relationship" piece but here's the thing, it's not meant for us to unpack. At the end of the day, all we can do is hear news, gossip and read articles about Al's relationship and this and that but we don't know how much of it is actually true and what's really going on, and we can't know. It really has nothing to do with any of us, and those two don't care what the public think either. It's Al and his gf's private life and judging on how shit broke out, they seem to have a lot more to worry about on their plate than anyone else's reactions.

Al is basically a womanizer from what I've read lmao. He always really has been and I know things obviously changed when he got older but an early article that came out saying Al and his gf are dating mentioned the age gap doesn't bother either of them and his gf has dated men around the same age and even older than Al. This is their personal and private life, after all. Men can have children at a very old age, this is just how science works lmao although it can be baffling at 80+, it's still a thing. From what the gossip online says, it looks like this was an unplanned thing and Al isn't doing so good. He doesn't seem to be jumping over the moon about everything from what I read either. I think this is hard for him, tbh.

And some people may think it's weird someone as old as Al is still having sex but given his track record, I'm not surprised at all lmao. To avoid disappointment from celebrity parasocial relationships and putting them on pedestals, you need to come to an understanding that you're also recognizing and putting up (in a way) their flaws on that pedestal too. Al is not a perfect human being, nobody is, but he isn't out here trying to be perfect or live up to anyone else's definitions either nor should he.

I love that you admire and love Al like the rest of us, but you also need to come to an understanding about the things he's done or said or whatnot that you don't agree with or necessarily like. He's just a human being at the end of the day, it's so complex. Don't think too hard on it, because everyone has their flaws and mistakes and as we recognize this, we can still love them for the great things they do. That's really the only thing you need to do.

I think the fandom as a whole looked way too far into this man's personal life. It does not effect us whatsoever and it's honestly none of our business. Al doesn't owe us anything and he's not trying to be a role model to us; we shouldn't be this held up about his personal life. I know it can be hard not to care, but sometimes all you need to do is acknowledge it, accept it, and move on.

I would also recommend reading the biography "A Life on The Wire" by Andrew Yule. It has a lot about Al's life from early days, to romance, to his personality and everything inbetween. It's seriously extremely detailed and gives you a whole new insight on just who that man is!

Feel however your heart wants to feel. You don't have to get held up in Al's personal life like others or form a strong opinion just because someone else has. Something like this doesn't need to stop you from admiring what a phenomenal actor Al is and how he's a fine ass man too. 😭

I so agree with your “meh” feeling about episode two and it’s such a relief to see someone else put exactly how I was left feeling into words! I love this show sm but that was the first episode to legitimately throw me story wise I was like huh?

they set up Shauna to be so shaken unstable and possessive like you said of Jackie’s corpse just for her to put up zero fight at the thought of cremating her body? Like sure she argued a little bit but I was expecting more passion behind it and I feel like most ppl in the fandom were considering it’s what a lot of us thought she was going to punch Lottie for. So to see her kind of just quietly accept it SO QUICKLY was jarring.

Not to mention the “goodbye scene” was SO short when u think of how important a scene like that should’ve been? We open season two w Shaunas grief for Jackie I don’t get why they didn’t dwell on that concept longer in the episode we actually see them get rid of her physical body in. Like I rlly hated how quickly Shauna heads back inside after setting the pyre on fire. And Travis shoving javis pants onto it (as much as I understand why) felt so convenient? And took even that much more away from the focus of that scene

The “for the baby” line was so oddly placed and I was so confused w the writing there too! Why was the makeup the deal breaker for them, starting the episode with them being so concerned abt that to ending it with eating her seemed rlly disconnected and silly.

i agree about the disjointed feeling w the adults in this one too, I personally hated the scene of lottie describing Travis’s death something abt the tone of it rlly bothered me it felt like it was trying to be comedic but I don’t think that was necessary there.

and as much as i understand the reasoning and genuinely love the idea of of juxtaposing the raw reality of them devouring Jackie w the Roman feast imagery I feel like some shots were held too long and it made it almost corny

what do you think about auguste's characterization as the 'golden star'? he was a prince of vere, he was exposed to the debauched entertainments and realities of court life and if he was the ideal people paint him as, he must've took part in some of it which rlly puts him in a gray area morally so idk why most of the fandom paints him as like, honorably celibate. what are ur thoughts?

so i think there's two parts to this. auguste as laurent remembers him, and auguste as the crown prince before his death. this got long, so it's under a cut.

we know that laurent adores him, that they got along well, that auguste doted upon laurent and cared for him. we do have confirmation from paschal that this is an accurate view of the situation, not just laurent's fond memories; they were close and they loved each other. so there was that side of auguste, the side laurent remembers, and that i think is true: loving older brother, competent (even revered) fighter, skilled at many things, generally well loved in the public eye to commoners.

then there's also auguste as part of the royal court, like you said, exposed to things (simply by virtue of being older) that laurent and commoners wouldn't know about or at least wouldn't be allowed to witness or take part in. so that side of auguste is probably a little different than the one laurent talks about.

HOWEVER! we also know from more than just laurent that the court changed after the regent took control. these changes couldn't come out of nowhere and they couldn't happen all at once, but the displays and the debauchery and the underage pets and the manipulation and maneuvering of courtiers for power and position and probably a fair amount of the general hedonism that damen witnesses in vere is the culture that the REGENT fostered, not the historical culture of vere. laurent says this outright, and it's confirmed along the way: things changed after the king and auguste died.

we don't really know what the court was like before that, but making some logical assumptions, here's what i imagine it to be like: auguste shadowing the king during political things such as council meetings, public events, all the things a crown prince needs to learn how to do. the court valuing fine things such as food and wine, fabrics, intricate architecture, jewelry - this is a rich country and the style of art and architecture is baked into everything damen sees; that's not something that was new since marlas though i do think the focus on extravagance and wealth is maybe a newer attitude.

i think there were performances and pets, but i don't think there were public displays of sex and debauchery like we see in the regent's court. ancel has a fire dancing routine that they use as entertainment for a more "prudish" country's visitors - nothing to do with his main job as a pet, and he serves the regent because having nicaise there would be inappropriate. the regent knows how to project the image of vere more like it used to be when there are foreigners present who might remember and expect things to be like those old times.

so, regarding auguste's participation: i don't think he was "morally grey" as you say; there's certainly a level of privilege that royalty has that gives them some inherent assholishness, and he was likely ignorant to some issues of commoners, but i do think that as crown prince, training to be king, he did take that role seriously and wasn't a frivolous hedonist. he was a reknowned fighter and commander that damen respects, and that takes long years of work and dedication to bettering himself, and he very clearly had the respect of his soldiers and commoners too.

so i think he took his role seriously, and he loved laurent, and he probably depended on laurent growing up to be a confidant, as the only other person who could understand his position. i think he probably had a pet (or pets) of his own, as it seems the harem structure for royals is kind of longstanding and had sex with men as has long been accepted in vere. from laurent, we know that auguste liked girls too and expected laurent to grow into that as well. personally i don't think he would risk his reputation having secret dalliances with women or prostitutes considering how taboo it is, but i know some people like that headcanon for him and that's fine, i don't think we know enough about him to really sway one way or the other.

i don't think the old court was as severe and unadorned as laurent in canon, but i do think his lack of jewelry and embellishments and the image of repression and prudishness that he projects is a reaction to the changes in the court (and his own trauma of course). so i imagine the old court as kind of a mix between the two. not so much flash and jewelry, but still fancy displays. not fully severe and laced up clothes, but not the flowy and very exposed clothes pets wear now either. i feel like there was just more variety before, and the regent coming into power skewed things in that hedonistic direction and then it just kept skewing that way over years and years, out of laurent's control, and he fought against it by making his own preferences (his distaste and rejection of these norms) very well known, at least to the extent that he could (he's still expected to accept performances even if he doesn't often attend, and he's expected to have a pet even if he doesn't make use of him).

auguste had expectations too, he was probably a trendsetter by virtue of his position, but based on all this other stuff, i just don't think the trends he set (or just participated in) were anything that could be considered evil or even all that shocking. patras seems like kind of a mix of akielon and vere cultures, and the patran delegation had certain expectations when they visited, so that might be a good place to dig into more for understanding how things used to be.

Albedo had recently been experimenting with some new elements in his current work, so he was a bit more stressed than usual.

You just wanted to give him some food, but he was in the middle of something that was taking a long time, because he just couldn’t quite get it.

Your sudden appearance made him a bit shocked. And somehow it went from you being a lovely s/o to him snapping at you for a minor thing that you did (which was probably nothing)

So then one thing led to another, and now you’re in a huge unnecessary fight that honestly no one wants to be in.

He got tired of it and wanted to leave the are first but you beat him to it. As you left he got back to work but couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty. He ignored it though, his anger being more apparent than his guilt.

His words still stuck with you like a life in your side as you walked to mondstadt. You were gonna stay with a friend for a night to give yourself some space from him. You honestly really needed it after everything he said.

He would be worried about you but wouldn’t admit it. Once you came back though, he was a wreck. He felt really bad about what he said but you were ignoring him! How could he apologize if you weren’t even going to listen.

He’d vent to sucrose when you weren’t around cause he had no idea how to talk to you. Had a full blown metal breakdown cause he truly didn’t have the answer for once.

He got more and more anxious by the day to the point where sucrose literally dragged him to talk to you. Claiming “you have been a wreck! You need to apologize to them, or they’ll talk to you again!” Which brought him back to reality and he actually did something instead of sulking.

He’d think of multiple ways to apologize but just thought it was best to do it after sucrose had went to mondstadt for a day, and after you had cleaned up.

I feel like albedo has a habit of playing with his fingers, especially when he’s nervous. So he’d be doing that the whole time he’s apologizing to you.

You place your hands over his and tell him how you truly were hurt by his words, and asked him to promise to never do it again. Now albedo never wants to hurt you, so he’d promise that pretty quickly.

Afterwards he’d be very clingy with you, and try to express to you how truly sorry he is. (He really is sorry :( )

but in my mc's eyes that effectively makes him a living object. belphie is going to hurt humans because that's what belphie does. gravity pulls you downward and you can't ask gravity to stop; you have to work around it.

so when my mc gets killed by belphie, it's their fault. it's because they miscalculated. they shouldn't have given him any chance, and they were never expecting anything better from him.

that leads nicely into a character arc for belphie, where he realizes that you thought of him like this, and that he proved you right. and he doesn't want you to be right.

Definitely understand the view point of never getting over Belphie's whole killing you thing, if I were in Mc's shoes I honestly probably wouldn't forgive for like, a very, VERY long time. One of my favorite things in this fandom is seeing how everyone's Mcs deal with Belphie's murder differently.

I love the character arc of Belphie trying to be better and show your Mc wrong. I think having someone there to grill the demons for how they treated Mc is very important, while also being Self Care. Having Belphie be down on himself and wanting to change is such an interesting character arc!

I can definitely see a similar character arc going down between the demon bros and Kaylie. When they find out that Kaylie just kinda expects them to possibly kill her if they don't like her. Definitely puts in perspective how they treated them before. Although, most of the grilling of the demons come from Vincent. Who after arriving in the Devildom sends all his time grilling them for how they treated Kaylie.

I'm honestly really uncertain why people are so militant about aphobia on this site. like obviously aphobes are Not Nice People and it's good to be against their shitty beliefs. But I've been on this site for ~5 years and I have never, in my memory, seen an aphobe (with the few exception of like. literal nazis but their main label isn't aphobe). I have seen a lot of people who were then harassed/cancelled being called aphobes in addition to a lot of other things like (homophobic, racist, abusive, etc) but as far as I bothered to figure out, the label of aphobe came from one specific phrase they used or one post they reblogged (though I can't be bothered to Deep Research so I genuinely don't know on this one).

(I have seen casual acephobia in my own personal life. however, that is not Tumblr.)

I have seen scores of posts along the lines of "aphobes are bad" "aphobes dni" etc etc.

Maybe it's just who I follow, but it seems like there's a lot more anti-aphobe sentiment than aphobes. Which is good! It's the goal! However, I think it's possible that that anti-aphobe sentiment has not become "look how few aphobes there are! yay!" it's "there are hidden aphobes all around us and you have to interrogate everyone to know who to ostracize"

You're a fairly popular figure in the mechs/tma fandoms and the thing about Tumblr is that it hates popular figures. And more than that, you're visible, so a) people will see if you answer a bunch of questions about ace things, and b) you exist in everyone's brains more than little blogs.

to be clear. to be absolutely crystal 100% clear: I am not saying that people got together and went "let's interrogate all the popular blogs so we can pretend theyre acephobic and have fun bullying people," I'm saying it's possible that what was once a positive emotion, "we don't tolerate intolerant people" has possibly, in some people, morphed into a fear that intolerant people are hiding all around them. And frankly, that fear can be understandable (not right, not kind, but understandable), especially if they face hate irl and their only outlet for emotion is tumblr. shit, Tumblr is one of my emotional outlets.

I don't think it's bad to engage with these people in good faith, or to answer questions, but I think it's possible that some of them are coming from the "intolerant people are hiding all around us and must be ferreted out" kind of perspective instead of a "hey I wanna check that this person isn't an intolerant asshole before following/supporting them" or "I want to engage with a person who may be ignorant" (I'm not attempting to imply that you're ignorant). Im not saying "not answer their questions" this is just, like, my opinion. I'm not making a lot of actionable statements here.

that's my whole Hot Take, hopefully I made some kind of sense, I just honestly feel kind of mad on your behalf that you have to go thru an interrogation to be Not Tumblr Cancelled. a) I think my confusion is I have less than 1500 followers I think I always assumed the You Are Now A Public Figure People Have Opinions On mark had to be higher than that but this appears to have been a totally incorrect assumption

b) I don't feel like. a threat of Cancellation except inasmuch as I don't want Kofi to eventually get any kind of kickback if I turn out to be or people understand me to be a shitty person. I didn't ask for a platform or do anything to deserve it, if I get distressed it's largely just that I don't want to be a shitty person! and I have a whole thing about. I don't ever feel secure in my ability to say I'm NOT being shitty so like if enough people start saying AH RUTH THEDREADVAMPY IS A GARBAGE PERSON I definitely do stay wondering if they're right even if I think my position is morally defensible. like I'm very easy to get into a spiral of I think that's highly defensible but maybe I'm just in denial/trying to cover my ass/self-justifying so I can avoid accountability/etc. like this is a thing and it's why I'm very uncomfortable with absolutism, a lot of my family in my experience have a phenomenal capacity for denial and for rewriting reality into something they Fully Believe despite all the evidence, and so I'm really conscious of the possibility that I'm doing that and I wouldn't. know about it. it's a really really powerful subconscious force and that's been like. a big fear point for me my whole life. that I could be being a cunt and be obviously being a cunt and be so deep in denial that it just doesn't register at all. this is like. the thing I fear most. So I DO want people to tell me if I'm being a dick because the only way I can 100% know I'm not just in denial is if I can trust people to call me in, but I really, really, really struggle with when people say I'm being a dick and I disagree, not because they're harassing me necessarily but just because it really sends me into a spiral of doubting my own ability to be sure about like, anything. at all. it's a whole unreality thing which is, uh, it's MINE to deal with, it's not something I would want to put on other people, but it very much does affect my responses and I didn't mean to write this but hey, no therapy last week and it shows.

oh also c) on reflection I don't agree that there's very little aphobia on Tumblr (although as I've said I'm not ace or aro so my opinion should hold little weight) but I do think that there's a lack of give and take, not just in aphobia stuff but also in general, in these kinds of conversations, like sometimes yeah people are actively hateful but I don't think there's any room for misunderstanding, poor phrasing, or questioning, and I understand that that's coming from a really genuine place of pain and devaluation of aro/ace experiences but I also think people jump straight to assuming active malice very fast, and often explicitly consider "actively not stating an opinion" to be an offence on the level of "actively staying a harmful opinion," which I think is unhelpful. like. we learn by listening, there are times in my life where I would have been lying at the time to agree unconditionally with something like "I think we should believe survivors" (I was a 2000s teen who hung out with 4channers) but I also was conscious of the harm that it would do to publicly debate from the perspective that No We Shouldn't Believe Survivors, so you know I waited and I listened and I thought about it and ultimately I came to a position I could say with my chest. but like. The online social more that you Have to have an opinion and I Have to hear it to prove that you have the Right opinion is. uncomfortable to me to say the least. I don't think it gives you much room to learn and improve, especially given that everything on the internet is permanent and often treated as if it forever reflects your current beliefs. like I have changed my opinions So Much since I was 16 and if someone went back through a tag on my blog to Prove My Bad Opinions they could paint pretty much any picture they wanted with 12 years of changing opinions.

OK OK so like we’re extremely off our shits rn but lets try to make this coherent

edit: this actually turned into a fucking wall of infodump bullshit so adding a cut lol

1970s. a gay furry dad named henry emily decides to make a furry restaurant cause he’s passionate abt animatronics and making kids happy. he opens the restaurant with a man named william afton as his business partner. henry makes animatronics and william handles idk being fucking creepy and handling money is my best guess. the restaurant is called Fredbear’s Family Diner, featuring Fredbear and Spring Bonnie (after a year or two it becomes popular enough for henry to have money to build bonnie, freddy, chica, and foxy too!) 

ok so shits fine and normal until william billiam is like ‘hmm im gonna be a child predator now’

on a rainy night one of henry’s children, Charlie Emily, is locked outside the pizzeria somehow, where william finds and kills them. the security marionette that henry built to protect his kids drags itself outside to their body, and thus is possessed by their spirit

obviously henry is fucked up but no one knew who the killer was, so henry was able to reopen another location, this time under the new name of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, with the now familiar friends Bonnie, Freddy, Foxy, and Chica to join the original two! multiple locations are eventually opened, and things are going just fucking fine until WILLY billy does his bullshit again!!

this time he lures them into the back by wearing a Spring Bonnie suit, and kills four children and stuffs their bodies into Bonnie, FReddy, Foxy, and Chica, where Marionette (charlie) finds them and binds their souls to the animatronics

but even though willish addon was employed at the very location he killed kids at, AND he was even convicted as the killer, since police couldnt find the bodies (and are useless) he didnt go to jail which is honestly so accurate its the scariest part of the franchise

so like henry at this point i imagine is like “fuck this” and sells the restaurant line to—you know what? honestly? i would love to know who runs Fazbear Entertainment. with the way help wanted was going i rlly hope we get an expansion on that with them as the villians (destroy capitalism) ANYWAY–

“Fazbear Entertainment” becomes the parent company of this mess now and theyre like :)……oh lets hire that william guy again hes fine

and at this point wwillus is making his OWN fucking pizzeria and his OWN animatronics and is actively kidnapping, torturing, and killing children to steal life essence from their souls! during the process of testing this, he gets his own ‘daughter’ Elizabeth Afton killed!! yeah im not fucking making this up!! (ppl in the fandom really defend this guy lol)

1983. so as Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzas are expanding,  Willard Afturd somehow? got himself some children. like to raise. like as a “““father”““. personally i do like 2 think a mother was involved but honestly he totally coulda just fucking kidnapped some random children to raise as his own and im starting to think thats more plausible  actually BUT ITS NOT GAME THEORY TIIME

one of these kids he is personally torturing! his own “son”! incredible! long story short this traumatized child ( unofficially named CC Afton ) is forced into the mouth of Fredbear by his brother Michael Afton and his friends, aaaand he dies ( and is guided by Charlie to possess Fredbear )

even after years of rumors about dead kids being hidden in animatronics, its this accident is the last straw for Fazbear’s Pizza and they are finally shut down. then WILL rubs his nasty hands together and tries to open his OWN pizzeria with his original OCs do not Steal™, Funtime Freddy, Bon Bon, Ballora, Circus Baby ( possessed by Elizabeth) , and Funtime Foxy and theyre all. probably possessedtoo cause theyre used 4 his kid torture fetish

uh ok so Aphton is like hey michael go clean up my child abuse for me anyway brb so his son Mwanders into his father’s Pizzeria to find his sister elizabeth . long story short…………he finds her and she does the “we’re brothers but closer” spongebob meme but also with her friends

ANd they leave! hooray! from then on the story is about Michael, whos zombified now after being used as a husk to hide an amalgamation of 5 animatronics fucking trying to find his shitty fuckass dad, and to help the anguished and vengeful spirits inside

but the first location to reopen after having been shut down, Wilson AAAAA is employed AND KILLS SOME MORE KIDS who would have guessed omg amazing..stunning.. and michael is employed there JUST a week too late like it happens RIGHT before he’s employed so Wumbo Man gets away again and Fazbear Entertainment gets shut down AGAIN, in 1987

not too many years later Fazbear Entertainment tries to open restaurants yES AGAIN and theyre still using the original animatronics that are still rotting and bloody on the inside . somehow this place stays open for a bit, and michael is employed there still looking for Worst Father Ever, and the children attack him due to rage and confusion, and when they kill another employee, the restaurant is shut down for like the trillionth time

but then for some reason Whenwillhedie Afton is like im gonna go try to dismantle the other haunted animatronics at the shut down pizzerias cause i dont actually even know i have shit for brains and also probably wanted to melt them down for life juice BUT

theyrelike FUCK OFF and the spirits of the children materialize in front of Wellington Well Done and force him into the old crusty spring bonnie suit that he’d murdured in before nd spring is like FUCKy ou and crushesAlton with their animatronic parts aand smush him. trapped now #springbonnieisgoodguy

the spirits go to rest in animatronica, the events of fnafworld happen when: 30 fucing years later in like the 2010s some jackasses thought it would be a good idea to mak e a haunted hoiuse attraction based on fazbear’s pizza and use actual shit from the restaurants and of COURSE this fuck shit up hardcore and disturbs the spirits from the rest that they were in ( until it turned intp the events of FNAF World ) and then they were ripped back into reality when Fazbear’s Fright was built

also! they found WWWacky smacky Acky all rotting away inside Spring Bonnie (now called Springtrap) and were like yeah this is good. definitely not a robot struggling to hold back the influence of a murderer predator and definitely wouldnt haev a problem with being set free

basically michael hears about this thing when it opens and is the first employee there and proceeeds to burn the whole place down as soon as he sees Willmont stuck inside ofs Springtrap

buuuut it doesnt work and Springtrap and other various spirits and haunted robots are still wandering the fuck around and Henry at this point is like Okay I Need To Do Something About This Cause This Is Entirely Out Of Fucking Hand and he reopens a Freddy Fazbear’s location himself, but advertises for a manager who wants to build their own pizzeria

you know who pounces on this like a purple cat? MIKE hes like FUCK yeah egg boys gonna kill his dad and be ann egg MAN today

with the help of Henry’s use  of luring mechanics and michael’s endurance and survival skill they gather Scrap Baby (elizabeth), Lefty (charlie), Scraptrap (springtrap, unfortunately  who has a rotton raisin inside him ), and Molten Freddy (the remaining animatronics that  had jumped into michael’s skin lumped together)

soon as theyre all there ? boom . henry lights the place on fire just like mike had and THEY BOTH JUST SIT THERE AND DIE IN IT TOO LIKE ITS SO METAL and it burns everyone else as well

SO they employ an AU version of scott cawthon to make, essentially, the games that we’ve all been playing, but like, in-universe, – so the company in universe has fnaf video games made in order to make light of and cover up the actual murders that happened in the canon. is this too meta yet?

okay i lied this is also the scariest part of the franchise bc of how accurate it is to corrupt business hGJFSKDLHDSS

therefore, they create Help Wanted, the recently released VR game (also a game in-universe) and they use salvaged circuitboards and shit from all the old animatronics to program the game, but of course that just ends up transferring everyone’s soul into the game – the kids, the animatronic AIs, and BASTARD MAN

spring bonnie, now called Glitchtrap, is in a deteriorated mental state and is weak to Afton’s influence, and the fuck is able to manipulate an unknown amount of people into helping him out of the VR game and into the in-universe real world. one of these people was jeremy fitzgerald, michael afton’s childhood friend and a former employee at Fazbear’s Pizza during 1987.

he was involved in a lawsuit against the company making the game, and we don’t know what has happened to him yet. but he’s very important. evidence points to him being one of the kids that helped michael put CC’s head into Fredbear’s mouth, and that in 1987 when working at freddys he was bitten and is somehow functioning without a frontal lobe (but like, michael at this point is functioning with insides made of pudding and rotting skin so . basically theyre both too gay to die )

but we DO know that theres at least one person communicating directly with Glitchtrap, who he seems to have convinced to help set him free, someone whos made their own rabbit mask but doesnt seem to be willingly doing this, and might be brainwashed

also, currently, (this is really weird because we are currently living in the same time as the fnaf timeline is at right now) Fazbear Entertainment is planning on a “service program” that is basically sending personal animatronics to peoples houses and GUESS how fucking well THAT works out bc theyre STILL ALL HAUNTED YOuf g

and it seems like theyre planning on opening a new location in 2020, and that might be when we can learn more about the reluctant follower of springtrap and who has the camera while everyone moshes on william aftons corpse

hey i need to know what sort of long shot for speedy controversy or conspiracy exists... are there people who theorize that they all hate each other? are there.... SHIPPERS... and how bad are they... how many people hypothesize that you and brahm are dating before you've made it official? ...how many people hypothesized that you were dating a totally different member of the band

i think the most common long shot for speedy conspiracies are about Marshall? that he isn’t happy being in the band??? that he feels out of place? and yes, that he low key hates the other members? poor Marshall lmfao. he’s a lil more quiet in interviews so ppl think he’s moody (he’s not rlly!) and when he gets days off he spends some of them with friends outside the band. not bc he hates the band and can’t wait to get away from them… but just bc he has other friends! also he’s not the youngest but he kinda gets treated like he’s the baby sometimes and he’ll get teased in interviews and everyone’s like “they’re being really mean. you can tell Marshall’s hurt :(” when in reality he doesn’t even rlly think twice abt it. they all tease each other and he doesn’t hate them for it. behind the scenes he is very giggly and happy and sweet and he loves being in the band !

also sometimes ppl think Maverick is sick of everyone bc in videos with some of the guys dicking around he’s often off to the side like shaking his head and calling them stupid and he’s a lil more serious in interviews but i can confirm that when push comes to shove he DOES get into the shenanigans as well and he can also be VERY dumb and it’s VERY funny

there ARE shippers and thankfully they aren’t TOO bad… i don’t think many of them take it that seriously. Brahm and Maverick are the most common ship in the fandom bc they’ve known each other a long time and they’re very close, but other popular ships include Porter & Fletcher (bc they’re both chaotic dumbasses that enable each other) and also Marshall with… just… everyone. he’s the softest member so when they’re not teasing him they’re all loving on him. there are loads of pictures and videos of him being cuddled and picked up and kissed by the other boys (it’s a v physical band ok). he is compatible with everybody

LOTS OF PPL HYPOTHESIZED THAT BRAHM AND I WERE DATING BEFORE WE MADE IT OFFICIAL. they were v smart and caught on v easily. Brahm and i would like each others pictures on instagram and sometimes comment back and forth and the fans noticed. they also noticed whenever Brahm and I would post from the same location even if neither of us mentioned the other one IN the post (i.e. “here’s a selfie Brahm posted a month ago from his bedroom and here’s a selfie LIV posted this morning and if you look in the background you can tell that the posters on the wall are the same”). AND they noticed a few times when we shared clothes. like they noticed me wearing a necklace they had seen him wear in an interview a couple times and they noticed when he was wearing an oversized jacket they knew i owned. we did not get very much past them though we tried

THAT BEING SAID some ppl thought i was dating FLETCHER at first bc he’s a very enthusiastic commenter so he’d write nice things on my instagram pictures all the time and ALSO he steals Brahm’s clothes (he steals everyone’s clothes. and shoes and jewelry and pillows and everything else). so if i wore something of Brahm’s and they noticed some ppl would think it was Fletcher’s bc they had seen him wearing it previously but it was just bc he stole it from Brahm’s closet.

also honorable mention to the fans that would be like “not every girl Brahm talks to is his girlfriend. guys and girls can just be friends without there being any romantic feelings” before we became public like yes you are SO right!!! but also there are romantic feelings

I didn't start watching the show until after season 2 was released, so I'm wondering, how accurate did the fan theories about season 2 end up being? Was there any major theory that ended up being totally off-base, or did people manage to guess what would happen pretty accurately?

There were a LOT of wild theories tbh. There were some rlly good ones too. I remember a rlly popular one was that after someone leaked some set pictures of Millie filming the scene where El gets off the bus in Chicago, a lot of ppl started theorizing that Eleven was hiding out there with some friends Hopper had there or smth (Now we know that “the city” Hop used to live in was New York, but we didn’t know that pre-s2 so ppl figured it might be Chicago and he had an old apartment there or smth). There were also a LOT of theories centered around the tunnels, bc that was some of the only plot hints we had going in to the season. People caught on pretty quickly after the trailer came out that the drawings in the Byers house were a map of the tunnels, and stuff spiraled from there. I remember one theory I personally believed was that the tunnels were what Will used in the Upside Down to get around and hide from the Demogorgon. Another big theory was that the red cloud that the Mind Flayer appeared in in Will’s visions was going to be an actual physical storm coming to Hawkins, which came p much from the few shots of it in trailers alongside the fact that the show originally released some fake episode titles when they announced s2, and one of them was “The Storm”. The old title for “The Lost Sister” was actually “The Lost Brother” and a LOT of theories came from that, ranging from pretty accurate like it being another experiment, to completely off base, like one I remember was it being about a 4th Wheeler sibling (Mike’s twin) who died (p much just came from the fact that Mike has a bunk bed). OH and if you remember the DnD scene at the end of season 1, aka everything with the proud princess, the lost knight, and the weird flowers in the cave? Everyone was CONVINCED those were supposed to be clues for season 2. Literally 99% of s2 theories mentioned those 3 things, and in the end they were complete red herrings. I’m still bitter about that, and if u ask any blog who was here pre-s2, chances are they are too. A lot of theories also came from Dragon’s Lair, as the Duffers hinted a lot that there would be symbolism in the game. Now we know that “symbolism” was rlly nothing more than foreshadowing that Lucas would end up with Max and not Dustin (”Princess Daphne is still mine!”) but for a long time we thought it was PLOT foreshadowing. And lemme tell you anon, I personally did SO MUCH research on that game and watched the gameplay so many times making theories. The plot of the game is about a knight rescuing a missing princess from a dragon, and a lot of us thought that was going to foreshadowing for Mike saving El from whatever was the reason she was still missing. For a LONG time ppl thought El was going to be in the Upside Down for a full year. If you read any pre-s2 fics, there’s a good chance that’s going to be referenced, bc for so long we didn’t have ANY clue where she could be so we just assumed she was stuck in the Upside Down as a default. It wasn’t until a year after the show came out that it was confirmed she’d been out of the Upside Down since the beginning. So yeah for a long time there were a LOT of theories about the kids doing a rescue mission to the Upside Down. Another theory that came from Dragon’s Lair was that Dustin was going to die, bc his character dies in Dragon’s Lair and people thought that would be similar foreshadowing to how in s1 Will’s DnD character was taken by the Demogorgon, then that’s what happened in real life. Speaking of character deaths, a LOT of people thought Steve or Hopper were gonna die. There wasn’t rlly explanation behind it, but everyone kinda agreed, their character arcs as of the end of s1 were set up well if the show wanted to kill one of them off. Another big plot theory that I remember was that the Upside Down would be spreading to the real world, bc the tag line for season 2 was “The World Is Turning Upside Down” and people connected it back to Mr Clarke’s line about how the gate could swallow everyone up whole. That theory KINDA became true and the gate was spreading in s2, but it wasn’t the plot of the season or anything, and it wasn’t near as serious in reality as people theorized it to be. There were a also LOT of theories about Will too, and a lot of them were some variation of Will having powers. Oh and since one of the episode titles is “The Spy” there were a lot of theories about who the spy was, the most common ones I remember were Max, Billy, Bob, and Hopper. The first 3 bc they were the newbies (no pun intended on Bob’s end) and Hopper bc we kinda knew he had some connection going on with the lab, but didn’t know the nature or what was going on or anything. OHMYGOD and how could I forget the Thessalhydra. The FREAKING Thessalhydra. Another DnD related theory that I spent HOURS of my life dedicated to researching only for it to amount to NOTHING. The Thessalhydra is another DnD monster, and it was also mentioned in the campaign at the end of season 1, and everyone was convinced that would be the new monster from s2. There weren’t a lot of theories about the Mind Flayer going into season 2 just because we didn’t know enough to even have theories, but almost every theory that did exist assumed that the shadow monster was the Thessalhydra coming to Hawkins following the Demogorgons defeat. Another one I remember is since we got shots of Joyce, Hop, and Bob wearing scrubs in the trailer, people thought they were going undercover in a hospital to either 1) kidnap Will out of it or 2) steal medical files.

As for theories that were accurate, there was a surprising lot. Honestly in reality a LOT of stuff that happened in season 2 was stuff ppl either theorized about, but their theories went WAY more in depth & went beyond what actually happened, or it was smth ppl figured was too obvious to be true. So honestly in the end we definitely OVER-theorized a lot for s2. El and Hop was one of them. Hopper hiding El in a secret cabin in the woods was one of those things that everybody in the fandom thought about, but most of us thought it was too predictable to be true (especially because one of those original episode titles was literally “The Secret Cabin”). Everyone pretty much assumed that Dustin’s pollywog was really the slug Will threw up, and there were even a lot of theories about it being a baby Demogorgon (though I don’t think ANYONE anticipated the demodogs). Or like I mentioned before, a lot of theories about El going to Chicago, but none of them were even CLOSE to what really happened. Kali’s original name in the show was Roman, and they kept her SUPER secretive. When the final trailer of the show came out, they included a shot of the gang wearing masks, and I remember someone was able to figure out that one of them was Roman/Kali, and that’s rlly all we knew about her going in. I actually remember someone sent me an ask back then thinking that the girl next to her might be El in a mask too, and I specifically remember looking at that picture thinking “Nah that’s not her” bc I mean, no one expected anything like episode 7. They had announced there was going to be an independent episode, and I remember our theories ranged everywhere from a musical episode to flashbacks of the year between 1 and 2 to a whole episode dedicated to Terry and MKUltra. But at no point did anyone come even close to figuring out the truth. There’s a lot of smaller details ppl anticipated too, like the Stancy breakup or Bob’s death, and even a good chunk of the plot honestly, even if no one rlly theorized the exacts, the whole kinda premise and concepts we had brought up a lot before and we had loosely figured it out. But there was also so much stuff no one ever thought of before, like the Demodogs or everything with ep7 or the lab shutting down or Will getting possessed.

All in all honestly we did a pretty good job. Everything we COULD figure out based on the information we had we did for the most part, to the point where honestly this time around the show is being WAY more secretive in s3 because they don’t want us to figure stuff out again. Like I said before, honestly we over-theorized, we took all the information we had and definitely overthought everything a LOT and ended up going a lot more intense with it than what ultimately happened in the show lmao

[2/9] listed their reasons why dennis is not straight and stuff and i remember people mentioning dennis knowing about the rainbow. now, at first i was like. knowing about the existence of the rainbow doesnt sound like definite proof that he’s not straight lol like afterall, he owns a bar, so it’s not outside of the realm of possibility that he knows about other bars in philly lmao but then. BUT THEN i saw the episode lmao and like.

[3/9] similar to the “but he already knew you were gay, so it must be something else” in tends bar, we get a moment where mac assumes charlie knows what the rainbow is. but charlie doesn’t know what the rainbow is, which he makes pretty clear. it’s not a big deal at the time, but when dennis brings it up it raised a big red flag in my head lmao like. okay. you’re showing me there’s significance in mac knowing what the rainbow is but charlie doesn’t, then why does dennis know?

[4/9] like WHY does he know. i get yall now lol. there’s so many little things that are meant to distract the audience while also giving us information, which is one of the reasons i love this damn show kjnfks BUT ANYWAY (im sorry im ranting so much) im of the idea that dennis HAD to leave so that Something happens (just like you said!). ddl just proved it to me when i finally watched it lmao so. hear me out.

[5/9] we all know mac is delusional, no matter how much rejection he gets from his own parents he still believes they love him in their own way, so in his mind, it would make perfect sense for him and dennis to be a thing without having to acknowledge it per se. he gets him the rpg without any mention of it being non romantic (!!!), he makes their apartment the exact same and gets only bed (basically what u said lmao). so like. mac would be There.

[6/9] like he’s already there in the mindset of them being together for the rest of their lives. but this would just tank them. like dennis is going through a different process now with his meds and potential therapy. the fact he decided to try and be a good person by leaving for his son is a huge step for him. which also comes with him having to deal with his own reality, but thats another rant.

[7/9] for a storytelling standpoint, him leaving makes sense since he’s setting up something new for sunny: actual development. of course since it’s sunny it will most definitely blow up in his face and he won’t be able to be “a good man” by being “a good dad” because it’s just not in him. yet (maybe?). still, mac would never EVER date someone else if dennis was still in the picture. im like. 100% sure of this, which is what ddl showed me. sure, he’s ready to go at frank but it’s for money.

[8/9] mac wouldnt really *date* anyone else if dennis was still present in the gang. i dont think he would even feel the need to, which is why dennis had to leave. as a writer it makes sense so that they can explore out mac dating someone (!!) other than dennis. and also to possibly (maybe???) show dennis and how he’s re: mac as well. like, for us it’s easy to see that there’s something there, but your casual viewer won’t really see it unless it’s RIGHT THERE, which this situation also opens up.

retirement notice

I really didn't want to do this, but I knew this would be inevitable. My time as an RPer must come to a conclusion. With my health rapidly declining due to overworking and immense stress and hardly any time to be at the computer thanks to work and school, it's time I retire from the hobby. What started out as a little fun my old online friends dragged me into back when I was in high school turned into a solid 7-8 years (??? or more??? I lost track of it) of experience and fun. I knew this couldn't go on forever. Although 21 is a young age to retire from it, I knew a year ago that it was close to my expiration date for role playing.

After having spoken to one of my closest RPing friends about the matter, he was right. I should not be denying the cruel truth of reality. It would also be unfair to many of my partners to constantly delay them of my replies and contents. I would love to be on, but at the same time, most of my energy is already spent working and tending to my real life matters. I'm going to NYU, I'm going to become an epidemiologist, I'm going to be working my bottom off, I'm planning to continue my prospective plan into medical school shortly afterward, and I'm definitely planning to work till I die for my community in the health profession. No matter how hard I try to calculate my schedule, RPing... just won't fit in anywhere.

So I apologize for leaving right after my "brief hiatus", but I like to let everyone know that I really enjoy your company and I enjoy getting to be creative with you all. Even if we barely see each other on the dashboard, I really love your content as I'm the type of person who reads whenever I have the chance. If... I don't bury my head in the drafts department. Also, shout out to these folks that I got to know for a long period of time! Those two deserve equal treatment of respect and love from... well, from me really, lmao. No one else is obligated to deal with them. But I can only hope that their interactions touched a bit in your character’s life.
