For the Portra400 shots metered at 200, do you develop at 200, or 400? Can you explain why you made the choice? Very interested in your process!
sure! I shoot all of my portra 400 at 200 iso, and develop it at 400 like normal. This effectively overexposes the film by one stop. I do this for two major reasons. It changes the colors, making them a little more pastel; and it protects the shadows, I find that at box speed portra tends to underexpose the shadows (at least how i meter). Color negative film tends to look much better overexposed than underexposed and portra is no exception!
