I have an idea what if Adam fell in love with the archangel of death Azrael not Lucifer not Michael instead the odd one out Azrael does not look anything like Lucifer or Michael, and before he died and came back to Eden he never really met him Azrael x Adam
But now when he got killed by nifty and got reincarnated again, and Eden all over again,
Adam was walking around the forest in Eden gain away from Lilith and Lucifer. Then he looked around in the old place. He used to remember getting déjà vu then Adam heard humming he looked around. He walked to the humming he hurt, and there was a man near tree. The tree was a cherry blossom, and the man look like an angel like Michael he was the same height as Michael, but his wings were black for a second. Adam would mistake him as a demon but no, he knows that cloak before and near him was a spear it’s Azrael the archangel of death
Adam stopped in ponder what he should do next he never really talked to Azrael in his past life, but knowing that this is his second chance can do whatever the fuck he wants, and knowing Lucifer took Lilith from him honestly he’s not gonna fight with those fucking bastards can have each other, but if they can have their forbidden love, so can he Adam done, pondering he walked closer to the man
Adam: am Hello ?
Azrael : ua? Human, I didn’t mean to.
Adam: my name is Adam what’s your name you don’t look like who is for Michael? Are you a new angel
Azrael : no well well sure let’s say that I’m Azrael the arcangel of death it’s pleasure to meet you Adam
Adam: the pleasure is all mine Azrael
Oh! I've actually never seen this ship! That's interesting! And has a lot of potential!
Adam cursed as he tripped because of a low-hanging vine. It had been a month. He couldn't believe that he had died and had been reincarnated back into Eden. The worst thing? Lilith was cheating on him right at this moment with that fuck boy Lucifer.
He grumbled and sighed. He supposed it didn't matter. He was prepared for their bullshit this time around and wasn't not going to be betrayed this time around.
Adam stopped moving around when he heard it. Humming. At first, Adam thought it was Lilith or Lucifer and was going to turn around when he really paid attention to the humming. It was different. The voice was a baritone like Lucifer and it wasn't the soprano that was Lilith. It was a soft tenor.
Curious, Adam walked towards the noise. He came across a clearing overlooking a pond. A figure he immediately recognized as an angel made him flinch. God, he looked just like Michael. In fact, he almost thought that it was Micheal until he noticed the wings. A deep ebony that looked soft to the touch.
He also looked stronger than Micheal if such a thing were possible. He had a dark cloak and black hair, and his eyes were closed as he hummed a song he didn't recognize. It hit him like a brick to the face. Azreal! That's who he was!
If Adam was remembering correctly, he was the angel of death. The same angel, under Michael's orders from God, took every firstborn in Egypt during the time of Moses. The children went to Heaven but Adam remembered being horrified to see so many children standing next to a dark-looking angel holding a scythe.
He never tried talking to him, not that he did before, and he actively avoided Azreal after that.
Now? He looked so...peaceful.
Should he talk to him now? This was his second chance at life. He could do whatever the fucl he wanted.
"Hello?"
The angel jumped up, brandishing his scythe and Adam jumped away. Dammit, this angel was more trigger happy then Micheal!
Azreal seemed to realize that Adam was no threat and he stepped back. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"
Adam watched as the Angel fumbled with his words and looked over him frantically. It was endearing in a way.
"Hey, it's fine. I'm sorry for startling you. Who are you? Look like Micheal but...not?" Adam mentally cringed at his words but he didn't want anyone getting suspicious of his knowledge. He knew WAY more than he should.
"Oh! I'm...Azreal. The Angel of Death." Azreal said, standing up much straighter. Adam smiled. "Adam. A pleasure to meet you."
Azreal blushed a gold color as he saw Adam naked and looked away a bit. Oh, yes. Adam was going to have a lot of fun with this one.

Hi im the anon that requested for scythe chasing the reader.
And yes, like thoese typical yandere pslsls im so down bad for this womwan🙏🙏🙏🙏
Fun to write wooo, I might do a part two if I remember about this lmao
Man sorry if it seems lazy at any point as well
Yan!Scythe x reader -
(TW: yandere shit, stalking, getting chased, a single curse word, possible ooc scythe)
All you heard was whistling and the heavy ba-dump of your blood through your ears. You tried to run as fast as you could through the dusty ghost town you managed to get lost in.
Your shoes pounded against the sand, and your legs were exhausted. You've been running for who knows how long at this point.
You turned around a corner and sat next to a wall to try to catch your breath. You hoped she wasnt following you anymore, but you still heard the whistling and humming of that… monster. The whistles sounded farther away now, but you still weren't fully safe. You don't know what she wanted from you, but what you do know is she's been chasing you for what feels like an hour, carries a terrifying looking gear, and she’s the most wanted in all the factions. You weren't that special of a person, you weren't a criminal, nor anybody important, you have no idea what a person like HER wanted from you.
You got snapped out of your train of thought when you realized you could hear footsteps now, oh god.. she was close. You were frozen with fear, you held your breath and stayed as still as you possibly could.
The footsteps got louder, and louder, and louder.
“Ya know, you can't run forever, sugar.”
Her voice was.. intimidating, to say the least. She had a very strong southern accent, if she wasn't chasing you down for who knows what reason, you might have found her voice attractive.
You said nothing and continued being as still as you possibly could.
“Listen, baby, I ain't gonna hurt ya! Just come out of your little hiding spot, so I can see your pretty little face.”
You seriously doubted that she wouldn't hurt you.
Scythe was getting annoyed now, where the hell were you?! She never loses her sights on a target, but you were much more than that. You were actually important to her. But of course you didn't know that, you just met her, after all.
Except she's known you for a while.
You were such a precious thing! Your adorable face, your laugh, your beautiful eyes, oh.. and your personality! She loves every bit about you.
That's why she isn't letting you leave.
You were still hiding, she knew you were around here, somewhere. You were terrified, you didn't know what to do.
So you stayed in your hiding spot, and waited.
And waited,
And waited.
It felt like forever, you couldn't hear her footsteps anymore, so you think you're in the clear to go.
So you carefully step outside your hiding spot, and look around.
It seemed cl-
“FUCK-”
You got kicked down on top of the sandy ground, and heard a menacing laugh behind you.
“Oh sugar.. I'm glad I was able to find you in the end! You hide well, I'll give ya that.”
You got the breath knocked out of you, gasping for air. The woman placed her foot on top of your back, not too hard as to hurt you, but enough to keep you from getting up and running.
“Now, you're probably wondering what I want from you.” She paused, trying to figure out what she wanted to say. You nodded, and tried to speak, but she interrupted you. “Well, darlin’, I want you.”
“Wh-what do you mean!?”
She took her foot off of you, but before you could do anything, she grabbed one of your arms, forcing you up. She then brought you into a hug, wrapping her arms around you.
“Ya see sugar, you don't know this, but I've been watching you for a while now.” She grinned at you, looking into your eyes. God, you were so much prettier up close.
“What did I do to anger you?!”
“You didn't do anything, darlin’. Except steal my heart!” She laughed, “And trust me, baby, I ain't angry. It's reasonable that ya would wanna run away from me.”
You looked at her with fear in your eyes and she took notice of this, and loosened her hold on you, instead of hugging you, she was now just holding your hands.
“Relax, I'm not gonna hurt ya! I just want you to stay with me for a little while, it won't be bad, baby, I promise.”
And then your vision went black.

*EVEN MORE YAPPING AHEAD*
Okay as of now I have finished chapter 3 of The Last Olympian and, OH MAN STUFF'S GOING DOWN.
So first off, I still find it EMBARRASSING how little Camp Halfblood does in terms of war. It's good that they started running missions but they STILL aren't a real army!
They lack a solid command structure,. They lack enough real allies (I guess the gods count as allies technically but like- it's not like they BEHAVE like allies. I mean Kronos' allies are in active communication with him to coordinate and strategize, so far it just seems tho gods are doing their own separate stuff in terms of fighting)
So far their whole strategy feels like the good old soviet approach of "throw men at the enemy and see what runs out first. Our soldiers or our enemies ammo".
EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT CAMP HALFBLOOD DOES NOT HAVE THE NUMBERS FOR THIS STRATEGY AND THE ENEMY WON'T EVER RUN OUT OF AMMO.
Like how have none of these people properly militarized yet!? Why are they running single man missions instead of acting as a closed force!? Why are they FIGHTING OVER LOOT INSTEAD OF PLANNING?
I will give the "why are kids planning a war" thing a pass because, well, kids book and kids wanna see themselves. BUT WHY DIDN'T CHIRON STEP IN WHEN THEY FAUGHT!?
Clarisse just dipped! And with her the entier Ares cabin! And idk if you noticed but those Ares kids LOVE fighting- so for them to just decide to sit this one out? Yeah whatever that reason is it must be GOOD. (Also very based for Clarisse. I mande it more than clear that I do not like CHB, the more people are done with it the better)
Am I the only one realizing how BAD that is!? For your main fighting force to be so divided that entier GROUPS just decide to sit it out because the rest fucked up and no one addressed the problem!?
And how come that these cabins STILL ACT MORE LOYAL INWARDS THAN TO THE ARMY!? THAT'S BAD TOO YK.
I swear if you don't wanna do the whole "united front" thing ATLEAST INTRODUCE PROPER MILITARY STRUCTURE.
You guys I am genuinly worried about CHB right now. As I see it they were already massivley underequippe to deal with Luke. Much less with KRONOS.
I mean sure they have Percy, but like- he's ONE GUY. He ain't gonna be enough to believably deal with and defeat the entier army!
Honestly at this point the only way I can see Kronos being defeated is him falling down a flight of stairs and accidentaly impaling himself on his own scythe 💀
Also on anothernote, I finally found out the entierty of that prophecy and that Percy's apperantly going to die..... and well, I feel nothing.
Like genuinly nothing.
I do not care wether he lives or dies.
I mean, I'd still PREFER it if Percy wouldn't cosplay a martyr and end up with Uncle Hades but like- even if he does it wouldn't be the worst for me.
To be quite honest I find Percy a bit boring compared to the other characters at this point. He feels to have very little to no actual conflict when next to the other characters.
Like, what sort of conflicts does Percy have?
-Shitty Dad/Parental Issues? He has a locing mom, Poseidon is one of the better Dads in terms of Gods. Gabe was a dick no doubt, but he's been taken care off for ages now and doesn't rly affect Percy much anyway. And we don#t even have the "I got no dad 😢" plotline with Percy either 'cause he as Paul now to fill that role!
-Struggling with his ADHD and dyslexia? Both had little no no impact on the story like, at all. Often times it feels like they aren't even there to beginn with.
-Luke betraying him? He immideatly switched to full on hate and enemy mentality with Luke. He doesn't struggle with the guy suddenly being evil or fighting him. Neither dies he still believe in the good in Luke like Annabeth.
-His fatal flaw? I already made a seperate post on why I don#t really like that one.
Those are the main ones comming to mind BESIDES the prophecy introduced this book. But ngl? I already lost intrest in Percy in favor of Luke. I don't REALLY care anymore.
I guess we also have the plotline with Annabeth where it's very obviously heading for a romance. But I also couldn't care less about Percabeth as a ship. At most they mildly annoy me due to the fandom shoving it down my throat whever I dabble my toes in it.
Like, yeah Percy started out cool but now? I'd rather know more about Luke, Thalia and Annabeth. I wanna know more about Clarisse. I want to know more of the innerworkings of the camp.
Percy just became a sort of, meh factor to me.
I am HOPING that it get's better though since it would be SUCH a waste if I really stayed apathetic to the main character. There are hopes with Percy in his fight with Kronos noting that it's hard for him to kill Luke/Kronos in Luke's body.
As always I ask to mark any spoilers in your rebolgs or replies should you make them, thank you very much ^^

The Sun
Double Down x GN Reader
Felt like writing some DD stuff instead of answering my asks. Sorry gang LOL
Tumblr media
Oliver’s hands are freezing. His warm breath does nothing to calm the trembling of his palms. He doesn’t mind so much. He can hardly tell at all. His shaking fingers encircle his arms and he watches the falling snow closely.
The cold is his friend. He’s always liked the snow, as much as he can like anything. An unfeeling machine, and an unhappy reality.
Oliver is unequivocally alone.
“Hey, are you cold? Come back inside.” A voice calls from behind him. The warm, dulcet blanket that is his mother’s voice. He takes a calm breath, feeling the icy winds enter his lungs a final time before he turns and enters his home.
Oliver knew what warmth was supposed to feel like. He knew what it was like to be with another person. He knew all too well.
Yet…
The first time his hands felt warmth was when you held them. Your radiance struck all the nerves in his system. He shut down the second your hands embraced his.
His breath shudders as your lips part to speak, anticipating your next words with short pants falling from his own lips.
“...Can I have my pen back?”
Your eyes shone like marbles against the sunlight you seemed to emit. No, you cannot have your pen back. It’s his now, and he doesn’t want to give it back. He holds it in a tight fist against his chest, not speaking a single word.
You give up after a while, eyebrows furrowed as you awkwardly step away.
It’s cold again.
He sees you in the hallways, on occasion. He can’t stand to look at you, head down as he scurries past every time. He doesn’t deserve you. Not after all the people before you.
Graduation came and went. He left broken hearts in his wake, and you left nothing but light. He’s never felt so cold after that day. Frostbite nips at his fingertips the second you make your escape, leaving him alone for the last time.
Over the next few years, Oliver can hardly get out of bed. He stares at the ceiling, gripping his pillow and wishing it were you. He’s barely got enough money to sustain himself for the next month from his inheritance, but he couldn’t care less.
Gambit finds him alone at the bar of his casino one night.
“You look like someone with nothing to lose.” Gambit leans his head against the palm of his hand as he glances at Oliver from the corner of his eye. His smile is kind.
“Join us.”
For once, he felt powerful. With a Scythe in hand, Oliver was the first to die. All that’s left is a cold-blooded player and executioner, Double Down.
Until you appeared at the casino one day. He could feel the ice in his heart thawing as he made eye contact. Surely you don’t recognize him, but he knows it’s you. He knows that warmth.
You didn’t stay for long. He didn’t either. He left without alerting anyone, just to get a taste of your warmth once again.
Your home wasn’t far from his. How could he have missed that? He’s sure he’s had a few flings in your area. He shudders. Now’s not the time to think of them.
You’re alone. Alone in an empty house. Alone like he has been, all of these years without you.
He doesn’t hesitate to break the lock, even knowing you can probably hear it shattering under the weight of his Scythe. He doesn’t care about that now, not when you’re so close.
He’s panting as he stands in your living room, his eyes dilated as he stares at you. You, perfect and divine. You, who is light and the sun and all things holy. You, who saved him. So, then… Why do you look so scared?
“Oliver?” The name feels foreign on your tongue. This isn’t the kid you knew, who shyly avoided you in the hallways and scribbled your name in hearts in his notebook.
For a moment, he really is Oliver again. Oliver, who loved you.
But he isn't. He’s Double Down, the mysterious murderer.
You take a nervous step back at his lack of response, and he takes a panicked one toward you.
“N-no! You don’t understand! You don’t know me, but I know you.” He takes several steps closer, trapping you between him and the wall.
“Please… Please, just touch me again. One more time.” He murmurs, his eyes never leaving yours.
When you don’t move, he grits his teeth and snatches up your hand, placing it to his heart.
“Do you feel it? My heart’s racing. I can’t stand it anymore.”
He smiles widely, trembling as he keeps your hand against him in his tight grip.
“Please don’t leave me. Stay with me. Don’t go away again.” His smile never drops as tears fall down his flushed cheeks.
“It’s so cold…” He whimpers, resting his forehead against your shoulder. His arms slowly encircle your waist and he pulls you right up against him.
It’s a perfect moment. You, squirming in his arms, his and his alone.
Billions of years from now, the sun will die and take everything with it. But you, the radiant warmth Double Down has never felt before, will always be within his grasp. From this day forward, the sun will never burn out.

How about sfw headcanons about Hidan? I'm very interested after Orochimaru hds, it was so sweet👀
Tumblr media
Omgomgomg just yes🫶🏻I love him smmmm. I can totally see him being a major softy..let’s get into it!
•starting off strong, I fully believe that he goes through moments where everything kinda hits him at once.
•Where emotions or memories from his life come crashing down at full force. One minute he’s his spunky carefree self, next minute he’s disappeared into his room as he quietly shuts down
•isn’t a stranger to tears or breakdowns. Is very in tune with his emotions, knows and acknowledges when he needs to step away for a breather
•I can see Hidan suffering from anxiety, sometimes things become too much in too little time and everything’s overwhelming to our sweet boy
•in times like these, he’d hang out in his room, probably napping or taking a hot shower to keep him level or grounded
•if that doesn’t work, I fully believe he’d just chill in Kakuzu’s room. Sitting silently on the couch while Kakuzu does his own thing. Would never voice it, but he cherishes Kakuzu’s company, feels safe around him
•once he’s feeling better, you best believe he’ll be running around causing trouble. Him & Tobi are a recipe for chaos
•but back to him & Kakuzu. They’re best friends, despite money man’s constant grumbles and complaints about his partner, those two are like this 🤞🏻
•Hidan has respect for his partner, and knows him like the back of his hand. Will risk his life for him and would do anything to keep the big grouch safe and visa versa
•when Hidan is in a relationship with someone, he’d worship the ground they walk on
•even if you’re a shinobi, he’d be terrified if you hurt yourself on his scythe. Panic flashes over his eyes if he sees you cleaning it for him or simply putting it away after being used during a mission
•considers his partner a delicate person(even though they could kick his ass in a fight if they wanted too) never likes seeing you hurt, even if it’s something as small as a paper cut
•one of his favorite non sexual acts of intimacy are bubble baths
•makes the water the perfect temperature, adding your favorite smelling soap to the water for bubbles, and a bath bomb time to time as well
•he’d sit behind you, situating you between his legs so you can lean back against his chest. His hands rubbing knots from your thighs and hips
•loves washing your hair, will use those big hands of his to massage and scratch your scalp while lathering your head with shampoo
•Hidan’s main love language is touch
•he HAS to have a hand on you at all times. Wether it’s his hand in your back pocket while the two of you are running errands, or twirling your hair around his finger
•a squeeze or a smack to your ass, or his hand placement being in the small of your back. The list will go on. He just loves you, he can’t help himself. You’re irresistible to him
•who else has seen the fanart of Shikamaru putting on Temari’s sandal while she’s pregnant?
•Hidan would do the same thing. Everyday, he’d kneel in front of you, slipping your shoes on, and would repeat it when you two came home. Slipping your sandals off before standing back up to kiss you
•and that goes for his partner pregnant or not. He loves being able to do things for you🥺even though you can clearly do it by yourself
•has a soft spot for kids
•would make funny faces to make them laugh or smile when passing by in a supermarket
•and if and when you tell him you want to start a family with him. He’d cry
•literally bawling like the baby he’s about to put in you
I could write a book about how damn soft and gentle he is😩but if anyone wants more hc’s bout him, just send me a request and I’ve got you. Same goes for any other akatsuki member🫶🏻

Inspired by the response from Grand line dreams Angst ask about severely injured reader
Writer’s comments:
This is a response to the ask answered by the user known as @grandlinedreams, this is my take on a best case scenario, thank you so much for your permission to post
TW: Angst, mentions of medial stuff, potential character death, if I’ve missed anything please let me know and I’ll add them to the list
Tumblr media
It had been two weeks and three days since (Y/N) had been severely injured, you had survived the reaper’s scythe that night, its amazing how you did, you were decimated, deep lacerations on your arms and chest, before Law even got to you half a pint of your blood had already been spilled, without hesitation that day Law had carried your dying form to the Polar Tang and emergency surgery had to be performed.
Blood had to be warmed and prepped, bandages had to be removed and the wounds under sutured after Law checked for signs of internal bleeding and any shrapnel that entered the wounds had to be removed and then fish skin was placed upon the wounds before being re-dressed, when the blood was ready it was allowed to flow into your veins as the other arm took in IV fluids, no need for a sedative you were already out of it.
The first night was always the fist challenge you would face, At this moment deaths embrace felt comforting, the natural next step but what about him?
Law had always feared that your devil may care attitude would lead to calamity and so right he was, you fucked up and now the Captain of the Polar Tang had to deal with the very real threat of loosing you, On one rare conversation he would tell you of the brave man whom gave him a second shot at life, to tell you the truth that’s the first time he opened up to you, hearing his story you vowed to do anything for him, become anything for him and right now there was a very real chance that would be a corpse.
No were the thoughts in your mind as you channeled all your energy, all your might, everything into breathing, you were not going to add to the myriad of mental scars to him, NO MORE SUFFERING, breathing in and out you fought, the heart beating in your chest like terrible thunder as in the reality that your coma had sealed you from, you lay heaving concerning law.
“Damn have you developed an infection?” Law asked wiping your brow with a clean cloth, the male grimaced lip bitten as he checked your wounds, a few were red and hot to the touch so he applied IV antibiotics to your course of treatment, the second hurdle in your journey to spit death in the face and draw another waking breath, raw emotion galvanizing your resolve, fight on, live on.
After a few days the antibiotics took effect, the second hurdle back to the land of the living almost cleared, Law was still taking his meals by your bedside, still cautious- On alert, and He left the running of the ship mostly to Beppo after forming a plan of attack for the next moves to make, like before he spoke to you, Asked what was going thought your mind?, No doubt he’s seen some wild occurrences, since his alliances with straw hat, but in truth, seeing you that day on the battlefield, he never dared to hope that you’d draw another waking breath.
Heck he was so worried that he had taken to shifted bathroom breaks with other members of the crew watching you and this was the norm for two weeks and four days, He must have had too much coffee that morning as he couldn’t wait for cover, he made his apologies to your sleeping form and bolted for the bathroom, as he walked back to the med bay he sighed- I better get another cup of coffee later for tonight..im so fucking tired …when’s the last time I slept, were his thoughts as he walked into the room where you were being kept, his tired and drained eyes gaze out to a surprise.
It was you, sitting up in bed your (insert color) eyes looking at him with a sort of tired look, you had seen better days then again so had he, he looked disheveled, sleep deprived and honestly so fucking done, in that moment no words were spoken, just a quietness as your eyes locked, ten minutes had passed and then it happened, you began to speak.
“I’m so sorry captain, I messed up… their Haki was too strong, I promise it won’t happen again” you told him an apology, one of the things you fought through death for, Law was stunned, the first thing from you after three weeks was an apology.
“Is that it… after three weeks the first words out of your mouth is an apology, We’ve all been worried sick, you damned idiot !” Law went on to say in a harsh tone, cold words masking the internalized concern he daren’t let himself feel, the emotions he stonewalled from his own heart, Law in this moment was as before romantically hidden behind a sheet of Plexiglas.
You looked up at him with shock in your eyes, you expected this but you didn’t expect it to hurt so much, tears welling in your eyes you slid back onto to the bed clutching the blanket to your chest, Law grumbled and sighed laying his hat on the bedside table resting his head by your side, a hand timidly reaching out to yours, within a moment, you felt the roughness of his fingertips upon your hand, the hand of your captain, you froze in response, you go to turn to look at him.
“D-don’t look at me right now. Please…” Law orders as you oblige him to take in the warmth of your hand, the pulse on your wrist, a pulse that those three weeks ago could have been taken from him, could he finally bring himself to hope now that you were once more amongst the living, fifteen minutes past as he assessed you, got his heart ready and then he began to speak.
“Listen up, I am going to say something, take it as you will…the truth is (Y/N) I feel deep kinship for you, since you joined the crew you’ve shown unwavering loyalty, courage in the face of adversity. What I mean to say is…I love you”
Law speaks to you, the world in that moment shattering, your eyes widen as he presses his head close to you back, and you blush as Law finally falls asleep after three weeks of hell.
You go to move and as you do, you feel an arm move carefully around you, light snoozing sounds from the captain of the heart pirates can be heard, and so in that moment you smile lightly and fall asleep again.
“It’s easy to promise someone that you’d die for them but even more difficult to promise that you'd live for someone"

Usopp fumbles in his pockets, digging for a throwing knife or a smoke bomb or a something — comes up empty handed, damn it, why is it always like this in dreams? Can never find anything when you need it. If he turned to run now, he’s sure he’d be running in slow-motion.
“Wh-what are you doing here?” He demands instead. “You’re not my nightmare!” His voice cracks on the last word, high and frightened and making him a liar, but what else is new?
Stealth Black tilts his head, smiling an awful little closed-lipped smile. He’s blond tonight, and it sparks something furious and painful in Usopp’s chest. How dare he wear Sanji’s color? How dare he wear Sanji’s face?
“Are you sure?” he laughs, and it’s Sanji’s laugh, that low chuckle in his chest. Usopp grits his teeth until his jaw aches. “Are you sure I don’t scare you worse than dying?”
Sanji’s hands, raising a cigarette to his lips. Sanji’s voice and Sanji’s words but he’s not fucking Sanji. He’s not even real.
Stealth Black stands up, and the whole fucking counter just crumbles away under him. Sanji’s meticulously neat workstation with all the bells and whistles Usopp and Franky have built into it, just gone, chunks of marble and rotting wood under the bastard’s feet. Usopp makes a sound, almost a snarl, almost a sob. His next breath in smells vile, like rotting produce and rancid mean. Something’s leaking out of the fridge. It puddles on the floor and then spreads, soaking into the floorboards, pooling at Usopp’s feet. Maggots writhe in the rot.
“Your mind makes me real,” Stealth Black says. He takes a step forward. Usopp takes a too-slow step back, and then another, until he can’t anymore with the table digging into his tail bone. “Yours, and his, and theirs. I could be living and breathing by now with how much he thinks of me. I could be more real than he is.”
There are rats in the pantry and flies in the fridge. The table, when Usopp grabs it, is caked in layers and layers of dust. Usopp turns to look, to watch his fingers leave stark streaks in the grime, and that — somehow, that’s the part of this that hurts the worst.
This is the table where they eat. Every meal, three times a day, this is the table the whole crew crowds around, laughing and arguing and shoving at each other, stealing food of each others plates because they know there’s plenty for everyone. This is the table where Sanji feeds them. This is the table where Sanji keeps them fed.
Stealth Black is still talking. “I grow like a tumor inside of him,” He says. He’s so close now, the heat of him at Usopp’s back. “And now you’re infected with me too, and I’ll kill all of you from the inside.”
The fridge creaks and swells. The pantry door splits open. Everything is rot and rubble, churning with bugs. Rats go scurrying across the floor, over Usopp’s feet to burrow into the walls.
This is Sanji’s kitchen.
He can feel Stealth Black’s breath on his neck. Usopp’s pockets are still empty, so he donkey-kicks instead, putting his hips and back into it, leveraging off the table to land his heel in Stealth Black’s gut and send him stumbling back. Not far, but far enough for Usopp to spin on the ball of his foot and land another kick, high and using his body’s momentum, scything at the bastard’s head.
Stealth Black makes a choked sound, more startled than in pain, but he moves back another step and that’s enough. That will have to be enough.
“Is that what you think you’re gonna do?” Usopp snarls. He dives for the knife block on the floor, and this time his body moves as fast as he needs it to. Sanji’s fancy kitchen knives have shit balance, they weren’t made for throwing, but they’re the best Usopp’s got right now so he snatches up two of them and rises to face his friend’s bogeyman. Stealth Black, shockingly, doesn’t charge at him. He’s just watching Usopp, an unreadable expression on his stolen face. Usopp stares right back.
“He builds you up so much in his head,” Usopp shouts. “He’s terrified of you, but I see you. I see you! And you’re not some — some demon sent by Germa to possess him. You’re just a bad dream!”

WIP Wed for You Pay the Cost.
Been a while huh? Sorry about that, I've been furiously rewriting this section. (this is my third full rewrite of this sequence). It's been gnawing at me, it wasn't quite right before. But now I think it is.
Ok, this is a bit of the Water Room/Hall section. Just a bit. The sequence is long and I don't want to share the whole thing.
Trigger warning for my namesake. Leon eats a guy. (It was bound to happen eventually)
He yanked enough control back for himself to leap back to the pillar and then across to the overlook next to him. He made short work of those archers too. His knife was just as deadly as his claws and felt better to use, like the haze was lifting slightly from his mind. His heart had stopped roaring in his ears and he felt like for just a moment, he was going to be ok. Then he heard Ashley scream and all semblance of humanity fled him in an instant.
Leon jumped from the railing and landed hard on the back of a cultist, if he didn’t die on impact the foot claw to his throat finished the job. He looked from the various cultists that were gathered around him. Reinforcements from deeper within the castle. They all brandished weapons, spiked flails and shields, long, curved scythes, and a couple daggers.
Leon ignored them all and searched for Ashley, he spotted her running along the perimeter of the room, someone was chasing her. He bellowed out another roar. It was enough to make the cultists flinch. Leon started to move, he felt different, he felt predatory, his hands weren’t reaching for the guns strapped to his back, nor the knife that was missing from its sheath.
A blade dug into his side, one of the scythes. A cultist had managed to get a hold of herself and struck him, she managed to hit a spot that was still soft, the carapace underneath his shirt hadn’t fully moved in and hardened over that spot. It was luck. The last bit of luck her life held. Leon spun on her, grabbed the blade and yanked it free from his body with a hiss. Then with another hand he grabbed the shaft of the weapon and pulled. For a second, she tried to fight back, her hands gripped her weapon instead of letting go. This got her within striking range. Leon stepped on the scythe, snapping the shaft in half and raised his own scythe like claws. She was dead before she even realized she was in danger. One claw sliced across her throat while the other spilled her guts to the floor.
Leon looked away from the gore and back to the edge of the room. He spotted Ashley, she had lifted her bolt thrower and shot at the person pursuing her. He growled low in his throat, deep, and started to stalk over to her side. But he stopped when the person went down and Ashley again ducked behind the safety of a pillar. He felt a smile break across his lips. She didn’t need him, not right now at least. That meant he had all the time in the world to finish up what he was doing.
He spun on the cultists who had started to advance. That grin only grew wider, he could feel his jaws split and his mandibles pull away from his face. Leon moved much faster now, almost too fast for his mind to catch up, instead he started to rely on instinct, and let his body move without his input. He was able to dodge another scythe, he turned out of its reach and one of his secondary arms lifted itself to block a dagger, he heard the sound of metal and sharp claw clash. He kept his momentum and jumped straight over the heads of two of the shield wielding cultists. From behind he raked his claws across their back, he could feel them snag on bone from the spinal column and he ripped.
Humans, he was quickly learning, were very, very soft. Even infected humans. They were soft and weak and so easy to play with. Now that he was stronger, now that he couldn’t be hurt easily, it was the perfect time to begin to test his own abilities. He licked his lips and swallowed. The sweetness of the water still lingered, he wanted to replace it.
A cultist with a dagger tried to stab him in the back, the blade bounced harmlessly off and Leon turned. The cultist took a step back, his eyes full of fear. Leon could see that he was fighting with himself, trying to decide if he should hold his ground or run. Leon made the choice for him. He disarmed him with a quick slash to the wrist, his claw carving straight through the man’s arm, detaching the hand completely. It fell to the floor but Leon could hardly hear it over the sound of his own blood pounding in his ears. He flared his jaws and advanced on the man. The cultist had a hand over his stump, trying desperately to stop the bleeding. He looked back at Leon and screamed.
The scream was cut short when Leon’s outer mandibles covered part of his face, neck, and shoulder as he bit down. He opened his inner set of jaws, feeling them spread wide too as he chewed through the skin and muscle. The strength in the cultist’s legs fled and he tried to drop to the ground. Leon felt the weight shift and shoved his two clawed fingers into the torso of the man to hold him up. That sickly sweet taste was finally covered up with an addicting salty wash of blood. The cultist under his jaws had died, the last weak pumps of blood faded. He had likely been choked out, either by Leon’s jaws or his own blood.
Leon didn’t mind, the body was still warm, and he was hungry. So hungry. He hadn’t realized just how so until just now. Suddenly all that mattered was filling his gut. He wondered if just one cultist was going to be enough? He had his face buried in the man and didn’t see the other cultists backing up, giving him space. He also wasn’t aware of the archers as they all took aim. If they hadn’t begun to fire upon him, there’s no telling how long Leon would have stayed and feasted.
The arrows peppered his back, and a few of them wormed their way in between his plates. Lucky shots that finally pulled his attention away from the corpse he was eating. It was the smell of singed fabric that got him to look up. The pain from the arrows he hardly felt. Leon dropped the body; it landed in a crumpled heap by his feet. A large portion of the man’s neck, shoulder, and chest were missing. Leon’s jaws dripped with red instead of black this time. He licked his lips but there was too much to clean off, it was just spread around his face. He shook his head and sent droplets flying. More arrows rained down him, he noticed several cultists picked up shields and held them up. Leon simply raised his arms while he looked for a perfect angle of attack.
While he still couldn’t reach their level in one jump, he could grab hold of a decorative banner that was strung up between two of the balconies. It held his weight as he climbed it, his claws leaving tears in the luxurious fabric. Arrows continued to zip past him. Some bounced harmlessly off of his back plates, others caught the fabric, but most missed and hit the wall in front of him. Leon ignored them, they weren’t a threat to him, not a real one, but they could hurt her and that was unacceptable.
He made his way up to the stone railing and hauled himself up and over. At close range the archers were nearly useless. They couldn’t get an accurate shot off, and Leon’s carapace deflected most of the energy in the bolts if they did hit. He growled low under his breath when one did strike him in the chest, but the tip didn’t penetrate, it didn’t even crack his shell. Leon quickly cut them both down. With a loud roar he put one leg up on the railing and looked out over the water hall. He could feel that the cultists were regretting attacking them. He saw the way they shrunk back, how they flinched when he roared.
The stone under his feet cracked as he pushed off and leapt to the next balcony. He felt invincible. He felt good. As he tore apart more archers, he wondered why he ever resisted in the first place? It was a gift and he had been foolish to squander it. He was confident he could protect her now, and forever.
Ashley kept moving along the perimeter of the room. She kept herself out of the line of fire of the archers up top, but she also got the feeling that she wasn’t their target. A loud roar reverberated through the room. She clutched her ears at the sound. It wasn’t like anything she had ever heard before; no animal came close. It was like something out of a science fiction or horror movie. One-part velociraptor screech and one-part big cat roar. After the initial roar it would taper off into a vibrating growl.
She couldn’t spot Leon, he had vanished from view, and she only hoped that whatever it was that made that sound hadn’t torn him apart. There were bodies everywhere. She could still hear the sounds of combat, they were still after something, and the couple cultists that tailed her, told her all she needed to know about the situation. It wasn’t over. Worry was starting to creep over her when another horrible growling roar overtook the chanting of the cultists. She hadn’t heard a gunshot in what felt like ages.
Ashley was moving quickly, away from the edge of the room that dropped off to the second floor. She didn’t like the idea of accidentally going over the edge. But when she rounded the corner to the other side she stopped. There was a cultist with a shield, he was backing up himself, taking cover from something. Then he spotted her and began to hurry towards her. He was speaking something in Spanish to her, that she couldn’t understand. It wasn’t chanted, it almost seemed normal. He was afraid of something and kept pointing up to the balconies above them.
“Leon?” Ashley called out and moved back. In the back of her head, she had considered the thought that it was Leon who was responsible for the state of the room. But she also reasoned that if it was him, then this level of brutality was necessary. The man was still walking towards her, he was still trying to say something to her. By this point another had joined him. This woman wasn’t trying to speak to her though, she was just interested in doing her job.
Ashley hefted her bolt thrower up, it was loaded. She had already taken someone down and retrieved her used bolt. Later she could sort through her thoughts on that action. But right now, she needed to make sure she survived long enough to make it that far. She was confident she could take out the one without the shield, but there was no way her bolts were getting through that thick wood.
Wordlessly she aimed and fired. Her first shot went high and to the side, it dug into the cultist’s arm and she howled in pain. She gripped the shaft of the arrow with one hand and started to pull. Ashley quickly readied another shot and fired. This one missed completely and she took a deep breath. She wasn’t sure if she’d have time to reload, she had to make this last one count. Leon’s words ran through her head and she tried to imitate what he did, how he fired. Strong through her core, through her upper body. Don’t hold your breath, have steady arms. When the woman looked up Ashley shot. This time the bolt went straight into her chest. She dropped to the ground.
Ashley had made it to the opposite wall, she was still wary of the archers above her, but her main focus was on the man with the shield who was still moving towards her. “Leon!” She called his name hoping he could hear her over his own fighting. She would need help with this one, she knew it. Ashley dug bolts out of her bag and began to feed them into the bolt thrower. Maybe she’d talk to the Merchant next time they met about that extended magazine, because three shots were not cutting it. “Leon!” she tried calling out again, a bit of panic creeping into her voice. “Leon I need help!”
The man was too close for comfort now, she debated running straight across to the room to the other side, to put real distance between them while she figured out another plan. She was going to call Leon’s name again but as the words left her mouth something rammed into the man with the shield and pinned him against the wall.
The man had only moments to adjust the shield in a way that let him turtle up behind it, hiding all of his appendages while he sank lower to the ground. Leon snarled and began to tear at the shield with his claws, they left deep gouge marks in the wood. Ashley watched, stunned, as Leon threw himself at the shield, jaws snapping, as the man pleaded.
Leon managed to tear a hole in the shield and he shoved his hand inside to make it bigger. He wanted to be able to rip the shield in two, split it, but his hand was too large to fit inside. He growled in frustration, the motion vibrating his whole throat and chest. The strong wood of the shield was preventing him from getting his kill and he was getting beyond frustrated. He shoved his body weight against the shield, pressing the man into the wall. Then he backed off and heaved himself against the shield again, and again. Then went back at it with his claws. Each one tearing chunks of wood away.
Ashley watched him work at it. She shook her heard. “No,” she whispered. “No that’s not Leon, that’s not… that’s not Leon.” The creature in front of her wasn’t a man, it was a monster. If it wasn’t for the guns still strapped to his back, he would have been unrecognizable to her. He was covered in blood, it dripped from his jaws, it ran down his arms, and coated his hands. That roar she heard earlier was him. The thing that ripped apart the bodies around this room was him. “Leon stop!”
Immediately he froze and turned to look at Ashley. She gasped and ducked back behind the pillar. Her heart was hammering in her chest. The way he looked at her, for just a moment, like she was something to be hunted. Again, she thought, that isn’t Leon. She tried to steady her breathing, calm herself down. When she poked her head around the pillar he was still standing there. He was still looking her direction, only now he seemed thoroughly confused. He tilted his head slightly, his pedipalps raising a bit. The glow in his eyes dulled. “Leon?”
She watched as he opened his mouth, but no words came out, just a warbling sound, and a soft growl. Then the man with the shield decided to act and shattered the brief moment of peace. He pushed off the wall and rammed Leon with the shield. The movement caught Leon off guard and his feet slipped on the wet tile. He could feel himself hit the railing and lean back over it. But he didn’t go in. Two of his hands gripped the rail and his head whipped back to face the cultist. He let out another roar and spread his mandibles wide.
Ashley moved back behind the pillar and put her hands to her ears to block out the sound of screaming and flesh tearing. The wooden shield had snapped loudly, Leon had gotten through, and she wasn’t brave enough to look at what he was doing to that poor man.

Hopefully I don't rewrite this bit again. I really wanna nail this feral side of him, and I keep going back and changing things slightly, and redoing parts.
oh ho ho what could have caused this????? Why is he acting like that?? Will he come back to his senses??? I know these answers and soon you will too!
The estimate of getting an update done by tomorrow was uh, hopeful. It's not going to happen. I'm hosting some friends tonight, and I have DnD tomorrow. I still have to rewrite the whole fight with the Garrador after I lost it two weeks ago (I was so mad I just skipped it and started to rewrite Water Room), and I have to do the treasure puzzle room too. Then it's just the last scene after Water Hall. I'm like, 70% done with the chapter, but I don't think I can pump it out tomorrow. So it'll be a few more days.

Motherly
─ Kid Pirates x fem!reader (Platonic)
─ Summary: Just some fluff for the Kid Pirates after someone disrespected you.
─ Warnings: none, bad english I guess.
Tumblr media
Your footsteps echoed on the deck, the wood creaking under your weight, it was the only sound heard apart from some silent gasps from one of the rooms. You hurried to open the door, loading your medical resources in a disorderly manner on your chest, with no time to waste you rushed to heal the wounded men of the crew.
“Always the same, can't you spend a day without looking for a fight?”
Kid grunted as the alcohol was poured over his open wound, you received no response, but working in silence made it easier to concentrate, when you were done you let out a sigh of relief, seeing your 'kids' injured, mainly the redhead and Killer, they were always the ones more fighters.
How did you end up in this situation? You were someone who only had some medical knowledge, no combat experience and rather weak, it seemed comical that someone like you had to take care of a bunch of sculpted and powerful men who behaved like children looking for constant trouble. But you got caught up in this situation when Kid reverted to trusting people who betrayed him again, it resulted in a pretty badly injured Killer, and yes Kid got down on his knees for you to help him since none of the other doctors on the island seemed want to help him. He might be cocky ass but he wouldn't let someone like his vice commander die in such a painful way.
So because of his revolt you had to sail with them to treat the blond, you certainly clarified a mutual agreement that you would leave the ship once Killer fully recovered, it took a few weeks and if we count that it was not that fast to arrive to the next island... they ended up getting used to you, so much so that Kid practically forced you to stay with them, also because it was nice to have someone with medical knowledge on board, it's not like they didn't have a doctor on board before but they would end up dying because the crew only knew how to get into trouble and not small.
Although you clarified that you definitely were not going to fight alongside them, your hands were only used to heal not to fight, despite being weak surprisingly the captain did not say anything to you, surely because most of the time you would be on the ship, you would not need to step land unless you wanted to buy more medicine or bandages, and you weren't going to put on a show like them anyway.
Inevitably over time, being the affectionate person you were to some degree, in your eyes they became your own fighting sons, you had become the mother of a violent crew of pirates. Every time you saw them jump from the ship to a new island, your heart sank thinking that something could happen to them, you would not stay calm until you see them return safe and sound.
Of course you'd scold them whenever they got into unnecessary battles or if they came back too late from a binge, but seeing your annoyed face as you crossed your arms impatiently tapping the toe of your shoe just made them laugh more than they were scared, it was adorable to see how you tried to scold them when you could barely hit a good punch.
Returning to the current situation, they had done it again, this time in your presence. The crew was in a bar, for once you decided to go out with them since some alcohol was not unpleasant for your body from time to time, everything was fine, there was another group of pirates but things were calm, the men rather focused on ogling the dancer on stage accompanied by music.
You didn't understand how when you returned from the bathroom you found Kid with a broken lip, Heat with blood on his knuckles, Killer cleaning his scythes and Wire holding the collar of the shirt of one of the pirates from the other gang, who just let go hear how you cleared your throat to get his attention. A frown visible on your face, you let your fists rest on your hips demanding an explanation in silence. The four of them looked at each other as if they could communicate with their eyes, they nodded together and Killer carried you on his shoulder, leaving you more than confused.
“Hey, can you tell what-?”
“We're leaving this dump, those idiots have ruined my night.”
Kid grunted stomping ahead of the others, you twisted on the blonde's shoulder but he seemed to have an iron grip on your body, you demanded explanations that weren't given, not even now that you had finished examining and healing them properly. With a sigh of defeat, knowing that you would not get answers, you decided to leave the room to let them rest, maybe they would be in the mood tomorrow.
As a routine, despite not being in charge of the kitchen, you had a morning schedule, so you helped Killer make breakfast more than once, today was no different. You greeted him with a lazy little side hug, getting down to business with him. It was normal for you to work in silence but you could feel that he wanted to tell you something, call it instinct but you could read them like open books, you really thought it was a power that mothers get. You hummed happily when you heard him falsely cough to get your attention, you looked at him for a second to continue with your task, but noticing your movement he decided that it was okay to speak because you would hear him.
“When you left... they began to speak badly about you.”
“Huh?”
“That group of pirates started laughing at you because you seemed so weak and small...” you stopped your actions looking at his mask, thinking about his words “but what really infuriated us was that they tried to talk as if they could kidnap you and use you”
You opened your eyes to the information, so that's why they started the fight? were they defending you? you wanted to make fun of them in a way, that type comments weren't going to affect you in any way, they didn't have to go as far as hitting them.
“They really said very obscene things about you.”
You almost screamed when you heard Heat's calm and low voice, in addition to his hand on your shoulder, you frowned complaining about the fright, which made them laugh at your expression, you snorted when you heard your captain's shameless laugh and Wire's amused grin seeing your shudder. You looked like a scared cat, how could they not protect from stupid bastards?
“That doesn't matter! It's no reason for you to get into fights.” your hands hit the table as if the sound reaffirmed your words “I also have some tricks to kick men.”
You laughed as their expressions twisted into a frown, imagining your 'foolproof' method of hitting men. From their own experience it was better not to get close to you if you were going to throw a kick, you wouldn't know how to use your fists but you had more mobility with your legs.
Everyone sat down to eat as usual, you occasionally scolded Kid for staining his clothes by eating so messy, also cleaning Killer's mask due to his spaghetti hitting it, leaving tomato stains. At least Heat and Wire weren't so messy, which you appreciated.

Night 189
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
“Feyre,” you shout frantically.
The shot still rings in your ears and your finger slips off of the trigger, heart pounding in your chest.
This cannot be happening. You cannot lose Feyre.
The shock turns into raw, unfiltered anger, coursing like fire through your veins as you breathe in deeply, calming yourself as you fix your shaking grip on the gun.
“I’m okay, (Y/N),” Feyre replies. Her voice is shaky with fear, but the bullet hasn’t hit her. It’s embedded in the floor next to her foot.
You exhale with relief. You just want to get the hell out of here.
“Rhys? Az?” a gruff voice calls from somewhere outside of the room. It’s more like a croak, strained and breathy. You figure it’s the third man to their party, the injured one, struggling to find his companions.
“Stay away, Cass,” Rhys calls sternly. Azriel shifts his weight to his other foot like he’s going to make a break for the door but he freezes when he catches the glint of the barrel in the moonlight creeping in the window aimed in his direction. “We’re taking care of it.”
“Yeah, and a great job you’re doing,” you spit. Anger continues to fuel your words, “This place has got to be surrounded by now. And if it isn’t yet, it will be soon.”
As if on cue, the room falls silent. Low groans and gurgles scream through shredded vocal cords and fill the street below. You take a chance, glancing out of the window. You can barely make out the moving shadows, but by the eerie sounds you know that there are more than a few stumbling around the alley, searching for the source of the loud gunshot.
You shake your head with a curse, sharing a glance with Feyre. She’s backed off of Rhys a few steps, landscaping scythe still clutched firmly in her hand.
“I heard a gunshot. What’s going on?” The third man – Cassian – enters the room. Your breath catches in your throat at the sheer size of him. He takes up the entire doorway, even with his broad shoulders hunched over in pain. He presses his weight flush to the doorframe and everyone in the room can clearly tell that he shouldn’t be moving at all.
Cassian favors his left leg, the right ripples with intense pain everytime he moves it even slightly, but he had to see if his friends were okay.
“Cassian,” Az scolds. There’s a worried lilt to his voice as he glares at you, trying to gauge how you’ll react if he makes a move towards his friend. “You shouldn’t be standing on that.”
“Fey,” you beckon your companion over with a nod of your head before you motion towards Cassian with the gun in your hand. You meet Az’s gaze and murmur, “Help him.”
Gorgeous golden eyes hold your for a moment, softening just slightly before they flicker to the weapon, his weapon in your hand. They harden and his lips flatten in frustration but he moves around you, keeping as far from you as possible. You shift your gun, following his path across the small stockroom but still the barrel at Rhysand as Az passes. His own weapon is still aimed at you.
Az whispers to Cass but you can’t make out the words, only his soft grunt in response as he helps the larger man to the floor. You can feel his worry, the tension thickens the already stifling air in the room as Az helps Cass lie on his back, checking over the wound in his leg.
“Gimme a smoke,” Cass requests breathily. He has a large arm slung over his eyes and you can’t help but notice the bulge of muscle he still has.
They’ve been eating well.
“Cass,” Az scolds, “You don’t even smoke.”
“If ‘m gonna die, let me have a smoke.”
“You’re not going to die,” Az is quick to respond.
At least, he hopes Cass won’t.
The injured man sighs, exasperated. If he wants a smoke he thinks that Azriel should give him one. It could be a last meal of sorts. He might like it.
Instead of voicing his thoughts, he removes his face from the crook of his elbow and lets his head lag to the side, looking over to you and Feyre with curious, dizzy eyes.
“Hey. ‘M Cassian.”
You and Feyre share a glance.
“Fuck,” Az hisses, “He’s delirious.” He’d caught sight of the trail of blood on the floor from where Cassian had stumbled into the room. Rhys had used his belt to make a tourniquet for Cassian’s injured leg, but it’s hardly helping to stifle the flow of blood. His entire pant leg is drenched in the liquid. They hadn’t had the time to try and stop the bleeding in a better way.
“No, m’not,” Cassian mutters, but the slur to his voice suggests otherwise. His teeth begin to chitter even though it's the height of summer and he’s sweating. He’s so tired, he’s not sure how much longer he can keep his eyes open.
“He’s injured,” you blurt dumbly.
“No shit,” Az spits, trying to tighten Rhys’ loose belt above Cassian’s knee.
You ignore him and shift your gaze to Rhys, “How bad is it?”
He contemplates, watching Azriel futility readjust the worn belt. He can see the shine of the fresh blood still dripping from Cassian’s wound. It’s not looking good. If they don’t find help for him…he doesn’t want to think about it.
“Bad,” Rhys admits, sadly. He pays no attention to Azriel’s blazing eyes and rigid demeanor. If there’s a chance that either of the two of you can help Cassian, it’s a risk he’s willing to take.
“I can help him,” you offer before you even realize what you’re saying. You don’t like seeing people in pain but this is the end of the world and you couldn’t trust just anyone these days. Especially not ones that have put a gun to your head and shot at your only friend.
“No, you can’t,” Feyre responds quickly, her tone hard with warning. Her brows are furrowed and she sends you a pointed look before turning her gaze upon the men. “And even if you could, you wouldn’t.”
“We don’t want your help anyway.”
You huff inaudibly at Az’s response. He’d rather let his friend bleed out on the dingy floor to some bakery’s attic than let someone who might know how to actually do something help? Some twisted logic that is. Although, you do understand a little of where he’s coming from, shivering at the thought that arises.
You place a hand on Feyre’s shoulder, urging her to take a few steps back.
“I can help him, Fey. We can help him,” you whisper, meeting her gray eyes for only a moment before refocusing them at Rhys, gun still pointed high. They weren’t about to catch you off guard for a third time. Or, at least you hope they wouldn’t.
You don’t know why you feel a sense of sympathy for the three men. They’d held a gun to your head, shot at your only friend, and have been overall terrible hosts since you’d climbed through the window. Now there’s zombies surrounding the building with no hopes of leaving until sunrise. You’re trapped.
But still, your heart aches for the injured man. He’s clearly the nicest of the three, hasn’t threatened either of you in any way, and if it’s because of the gash on his leg and the delirium from the loss of blood, it doesn’t matter. You have an inkling that he’d be just as nice if he weren’t injured.
You’re trying to figure out the dynamic between the three of them. Az is clearly the moody, intuitive one. The one that will put himself in harm's way to protect his friends. Rhys seems to be the leader of their three-man ensemble, sharp-eyed and quick-witted. Cass, although injured, you believe is the brute force, but also the comedic relief.
Must be nice to be able to make jokes about the apocalypse.
“No fucking way, (Y/N)! I don’t care how handsome they are, did you not just see him try and put a bullet through me?” Feyre gapes, and yeah she has a point. Your brows twist into confusion at her words, admitting that the men basically holding you captive are good looking. They are, but you weren’t the one to admit it out loud.
“Of course I saw it,” you answer, vexed. Your gun falters slightly as she steals your attention, but you remind yourself of the weapon pointed right at your chest and check on your three captors. Rhys keeps glancing over to his friends, brows pulled tight with concern. Cassian mutters incoherent words, something that sounds a lot like a gruesome joke to lighten the mood, and it only makes Azriel’s spine stiff with worry.
“Just let me do this.”
“Why should I?” she crosses her arm over her chest. Her scythe rests menacingly in her hand, like she’d been born with it. The damn thing still makes goosebumps rise on your arms. You don’t need her permission, you don’t need anyone’s permission to do anything, you remind yourself. You haven’t even known the poor girl for that long and now you’re asking for permission. Fuck that.
“Because we might just make it out of here alive.”
Her wild gray eyes study you. She knows that you will do anything to help anyone who seems worthy, because you’d done that for her, but you can’t afford a risk like this. Not after last time.
One pleading look from your big eyes makes her confidence falter. If you can help their friend, maybe you can convince them that no one has to die. That you spend the night and go your own ways in the morning. Or, if everything goes well, having three burly men with you will only strengthen your group.
Plus she hasn’t ever seen such a handsome man as Rhys, who makes even the end of the world look good.
Feyre sighs softly and your shoulders relax. You hand her the gun, making sure that you’re both alert from the trade, eyes sharp on Rhys as you do so. She grumbles something to herself in regards to you helping them but you ignore her for now.
You hold your hands up in surrender. “Can I take a look?”
“I said we don’t fucking want your help.” Azriel’s trying his hardest to sound hateful, but there's a tinge of despair hiding behind the malice. Cassian’s grip on his hand is loosening.
“Uh, Az,” Cassian whispers, eyelashes fluttering, “I’d kind of like some help.”
“Fine,” Azriel sits back on his heels, defeated. He can’t let Cassian die because he doesn’t trust a single soul besides his friends anymore. “Help him.”
“You two get back against the wall then,” Feyre demands, waving her gun towards the empty wall near the door. Her tired voice screams authority. It makes your hackles rise. “That’s the only way she’ll help him, if you leave him alone.”
Azriel shared a look with Rhys. He doesn't like the demand one bit. When Rhys’ only response is a shrug and a look that reads ‘what else are we going to do?’ he sighs. Reluctantly, he releases his hold on the belt. He glares at you as he stands to move where he’s been directed, but you’re speaking up.
“Move him by the window. There’s more light.”
Rhys watches his friend's backs as Az moves Cassian into the moonlight casting into the room. The moon is full, its silvery beams provide just enough light for you to be able to see the extent of his injury, if you squint.
Az winces and mutters an apology everytime Cassian whimpers in pain.
“Sit,” Feyre waves her gun again when Az moves beside Rhys. They begrudgingly do, the sounds of their backs pressed against the wall to their asses is loud in the silent room. They look relieved to be off of their aching feet.
“Go ahead, (Y/N).”
You know better than to argue when she’s got that glint in her eye. Murderous curiosity.
Your knee is aching from being on it so long, and your slight limp doesn’t go unnoticed by Azriel. You let your backpack slide off of your shoulder and rest on the floor beside you as you lower yourself to kneel before Cassian. The movement sends a zap of pain through the joint and you wince but bite back the hiss of pain.
You know which of Cassian’s legs is injured, can see the ripped denim and the flesh beneath, glimmering in the moonlight. You grimace at the sight, reaching down to your beloved knife that still lies abandoned from where Azriel had knocked it from your grip.
When Azriel catches on to what you’re stretching for, his stomach plummets, immediately thinking the worst. He starts to rise, growling, “Hey, don’t you dare–”
“Sit the fuck down, shadow,” Feyre hisses, shaking her weapon at him for good measure.
He hates that fucking nickname already.
You ignore them all. You know that Feyre has your back, even if you don’t trust the look in her eyes when she glances at the man who’d shot a gun at her. That’s something you’ll have to worry about later. But first–
You gingerly cut at Cassian’s pants, who hisses when his jeans are ripped away from his wound, clinging to the sensitive flayed skin. The pain is searing and he nearly passes you, groaning lowly like one of the undead outside. The noise pitches into a whimper as you continue, and you cringe, hoping it doesn’t draw more attention outside.
“You have to be quiet, okay?” You ask, brushing the damp hair stuck to his forehead. He’s running hot and he forces his eyes open at your gentle caress. He tries to blink the dizziness away, once, twice. “Can you do that for me?”
Cassian makes a noise but you have no idea what the intention of it is.
“Are you an angel?” He swallows harshly, letting his eyes fall shut against before whispering, “Pretty.”
And now really isn’t the time to be blushing but your hand stills on his forehead and you can’t help but stare. Your cheeks flush red at the compliment. It’s been too long since you’ve heard such words and you’re sure you look anything but right now with your dirty skin and matted hair. At least you have fresh clothes on.
Cassian’s breath rattles in his chest, snapping you from your thoughts. You force your gaze away from the handsome stranger and back to his friends.
“Where are your supplies?”
Neither of them meet your gaze, instead finding the peeling wooden floors much more interesting.
The gun in Rhys’ hand dips in shame.
“We don’t have any,” Azriel winces.
“Nothing?” you ask in disbelief. The word echoes throughout the room, shock settling in your bones. You bite your lip hard as you return your gaze to Cassian, who looks utterly soothed by the steady swipe of your thumb across his forehead.
You bite your lip harshly. “That’s okay, we’ve got–”
“No, (Y/N). We’re not wasting our supplies on him,” Feyre says, gritting her teeth. You barely have enough for the two of you to survive.
“Fey–”
“I said no.”
You reach for the bag beside you anyway, tearing the zipper open. “Fuck, I’m not letting him die.”
Feyre’s seething. “You think they’d extend the same courtesy if it were you? Me? Come on, (Y/N). Think.”
And she’s totally right. You don’t owe them anything and clearly they have nothing to offer you for your help besides a potential bullet hole in the head. So what if Cassian called you pretty? So what if Azriel’s large hands felt just perfect wrapped around your throat? Neither of those things will help you survive the apocalypse.
Feyre wants so desperately to run over to you and rip the damn backpack from your hands as you dig around inside of it. She wants to gather your things and shove you out of the window back the way that you came. She wants to be back in the safety of the clothing shop, asleep on the pillowtop mattress she’d only dreamed of before the end of the world.
She’s made a terrible mistake making you come here tonight.
“Cassian,” you speak softly, trying to get the man’s attention. He’s fading out fast, the blood loss creeping up on him. He’s had a long day and he just wants to say, “Fuck it,” and drift off into sleep or whatever it is that comes after this. But a beautiful woman is asking for him and he’ll be damned if he misses her call.
He pries his eyes open. There’s two of you in front of him but after a few more harsh blinks you become one.
“Can you lean up a little? I’m going to give you some painkillers and some water.”
Azriel’s mouth feels incredibly dry at the mention of water. They haven’t eaten or drank any water since yesterday when they’d left to scour the nearby towns. His tongue feels like sandpaper as it moves unconsciously while he watches you help Cassian sit up, seeking for moisture to swallow down.
He’s a little jealous.
He watches you work, searching through your bag when you need something else. His gaze slides from your hands and up your arms, taking in the curves of your body, swallowed by your clothes. Azriel had noticed how fresh they are, and he shifts, his own clothing suddenly feeling very dirty.
Cassian falls asleep shortly after you’ve given him the painkillers. He might possibly have passed out, but you’re so into your work that you don’t notice how his whimpers have stopped and his head’s gone limp. You don’t have time to stop though, working as quickly as you can to patch up his weeping wound.
Azriel’s surprised when you pull out a first aid kit from your pack. It’s small, but it looks like it’s bursting with supplies. He won’t ever admit it out loud, but he’s glad the two of you had sought after them tonight.
You stitch the gash in Cassian’s leg up after doing your best to disinfect the wound. They aren’t the slightest bit uniform, some further apart than others, and not straight at all, but the wound is closed and you can take a deep breath, having done your best.
You apply ointment from the kit. It’s way past expired but you hope that it causes some relief, before you wrap it up nicely, stuffing your supplies back into your kit and shoving it back into your bag. You move towards Feyre who still gives you a disapproving glare.
Rhys drops the gun into Azriel’s lap, quickly moving towards where Cassian lies, unmoving on the floor. He checks the man’s pulse – an instinct more than anything, he doesn’t trust anyone outside of their group – before he’s sitting back, ass on his heels, shoulders releasing most of the tension they’d been carrying since Cassian was injured.
“Thank you,” he chokes out. He doesn’t look your way, can’t seem to stop staring at his fallen brother. He doesn’t know what he and Az would do if you hadn’t taken mercy on them after he shot at Feyre.
He owes you.
“Let’s go, (Y/N),” Feyre says. She’s let you help them, as much as she didn’t think they deserved it, and now it’s time for the two of you to leave.
“There’s too many zoms out there, how are we going to get out?” you question softly.
Feyre’s jaw tightens. She’d forgotten about the zombies surrounding the building.
“You can stay here,” Rhys suggests, finally turning to face you. Azriel opens his mouth to protect but Rhys continues, “They’ll scatter by morning.”
“No way we’re staying here with you. It’s probably less safe than going out there.”
“We’ll give you the other gun.”
He doesn’t know why that’s come out of his mouth, and with a desperate twinge nonetheless. Maybe he just wants to keep talking to the woman with the fierce blue eyes.
He shouldn’t have pulled the trigger at her.
It was instinct mostly. Couldn't trust anyone, even if you were two women much smaller than him and his friends. You had come with the intention of stealing from them or harming them, and he couldn’t have that.
And maybe he found Feyre so captivating that the part of him tortured by the apocalypse wanted to see how well she’d react in a threatening situation.
It was a test.
“Like hell we will!” Azriel wants to yell. He wants to scream at Rhys for how stupid he’s being. How stupid they’re being. They’ve already let a stranger patch up their friend. This is as far as he’s willing to go.
“If it makes them feel safer, we’ll do it.”
“That’s the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever heard in my life, Rhys. I’m not giving them this gun.”
Two pretty women show up and now both of his friends have lost their absolute minds? They’re better than this, stronger than this.
“Why not?”
“They’ll kill us with it,” Azriel replies like he’s talking to a child.
“We won’t,” you chime in. Feyre mumbles something that Azriel doesn’t quite catch, but by the way you elbow her harshly, he’s thinking that whatever it was, it probably wasn’t very nice.
He narrows his eyes at you.
“Like I believe that.”
“Keep it,” you respond easily, captivated by his untrusting golden gaze. “We’re staying, but only until it’s safe. Okay Fey?”
What no one mentions is that nowhere is safe now.
Feyre doesn’t respond, but she lets you pull her to the wall opposite of the three boys. Azriel’s slid himself into a crouch next to his companions, and the silvery moonlight washes over him like he was born from it, skin glowing and eyes as bright as the stars, even if the look on his face is threatening. Your breath hitches at the sight of him.
You settle, taking off your bag and rolling your shoulders, stretching your neck. The events of the day are catching up to you, and you still haven’t slept. You sag against the wall lethargically.
The tension in the room is thick. Feyre glares at Azriel and Azriel returns the look.
Out of the corner of Feyre’s vision she notices you rubbing your knee and wincing. Her shoulders fall a bit, worried for you. She needs you to stop drawing attention to yourself, she notes the flicker of Azriel’s vision to your action. They don’t need to know you’re injured as well. It will be much easier for them to attack.
“(Y/N),” she murmurs, “Take your painkillers and go to sleep.”
You don’t argue, don’t have the energy to. You unzip your bag, sifting through your things before the familiar feel of the smooth plastic bottle grazes your fingertips. You scoop out two of the pills and place them on your tongue, following with a single sip of water. You sigh and fight the urge to tip the bottle back and drain it.
You notice Azriel’s throat bobbing in a harsh swallow, eyes trained on the bottle in your hands as you take a sip.
After returning the pills to the safety of your bag you cap the bottle and roll it across the room. The crunching of the plastic makes everyone’s hackles rise. The sound of it rolling is deafening against the silent room. You can tell that Feyre is fuming. That was your last bottle and she’ll be damned if she’s going to share hers with you.
Before the bottle stops at Azriel’s feet you’re already settled in, back pressed against the wall, using your backpack as a pillow, asleep.

Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Third POV:
Everyone took out their weapons and start fighting. Each of the Silvermane Guards attacks the Trailblazers one by one. The guards didn't want to hurt Y/n since she's a child, but it went backfire when she summons her tentacles and wrapped their bodies then suffocate them to death.
One of the Silvermane Guards who remembered you, suddenly got a trauma upon seeing your tentacles, they decided to not to approach you and avoided you.
All of the Silvermane Guards were all defeated and too tired to fight. Bronya seeing the guards was unable to fight again, so she decided to do it herself. It took 30 minutes to finish off their fight.
"This girl's pretty strong... Hey Dan Heng, maybe now's a good time to show off your secret strength!?" March said.
"...You first." Dan Heng said to March.
"Ugh, you're no fun." March said.
"Intruders, give it up! You will be guaranteed a fair trial." Bronya said.
"Ooh! Sorry, I didn't mean to ruin the intensity of the moment~" A familiar voice said.
Three smoke bombs were thrown in front of them, as it exploded, the five of them started coughing from the smoke.
*Gasp* "What is this?" Bronya said as she covers her nose from the smoke.
"...I can't breathe..." March said.
Sampo appears from the four of them. "I have one thing to say: Sampo never lets friends who've helped him come to harm."
"I say what I mean... and I mean what I say." He said.
After the smoke was gone, the only ones who were conscious were Sampo, Dan Heng, and Y/n.
"So you decided to come back after you ditched us." Y/n said as she crosses her arms.
"Sorry, but hey! Sampo is here to save you guys!" Sampo said.
Sampo carries Stelle and Dan Heng carries March. The five of them left, leaving Bronya alone.
"Where are we going?" Dan Heng asked.
"Boulder Town, that's where I lived." Sampo said.
They have arrived in Boulder Town, which it is in the underground in Belobog. Sampo said that they will go to a clinic to take their friends who was unconscious a rest.
"Natasha, I'm back! And we have some guests here." Sampo said as he greeted someone. A middle-aged woman with purple eyes and fair complexion. She has blue-gray hair that's bob-like in front with two symmetric strands reaching her shoulders, the back tied in a ponytail.
"Sampo, who are they?" Natasha asked.
"These guys are my new friends." Sampo said.
"We're not your friends." Both Y/n and Dan Heng said.
Y/n didn't want to be here, so she decided to leave the clinic quietly without anyone noticing her. She roams around Boulder Town and noticed that some of the citizens here were whispering behind her back.
A few couple of steps, Y/n hears footsteps behind her, as she turned around a two Vagrants aim their weapons on Y/n. Someone appeared in front of them, they aim their scythe at the Vagrants.
"You dare attack someone on our turf...? Well? How about a few rounds with me?"
A young woman with long purple hair and light purple eyes. She wears a purple scarf with red and white details, as well as a white, black and purple outfit with black shorts. Y/n eyes widened as she saw someone familiar with her, and it was Seele Vollerei.
The Vagrants didn't want to deal with Seele, as they decided to leave them alone.
"Hey, kid. Are you okay." Seele asked.
"I'm fine. Thank you for saving me, Seele." Y/n whisper her name.
Y/n didn't think that she would meet Seele again, after she saw her and Sin Mal sacrifice their selves by combining their power to create a massive explosion killing and getting rid of all Honkai around them.
Flashback
Tumblr media
"Are you still crying, Seele?" Sin Mal asked.
*sniffles* "That's enough. I have decided that I will no longer be cowardly and sad... If I have to say it, I'm afraid that such a large-scale quantization ability... is actually unrealizable." Seele said.
For the ability to function in the interior of the moon, Seele and Sin Mal must continue to go deeper and deeper.
To extend her ability to stop time, Sin Mal asked Seele to transform herself into a quantum object.
"It's okay, Seele. It must be possible. Until the end, I will always be by your side." Sin Mal said.
Clocks and gears fell off
Sin Mal was reaching her limit.
"Isn't there a price for all this?"
“Overuse of abilities, the user will get tired, life will be shortened, and the user will die…”
"That's all."
Until the end of her life, Sin Mal finally discovered that what she really wanted to do was accept her fragile self.
Seele and Sin Mal left text messages before leaving to let others know what they had done.
At the end of their lives, both of them thought at the same time——
"Sister Mei, Kyuushou."
"We have a million reluctances."
"We are not willing to leave Sister Bronya to mourn our deaths."
"We ourselves don't want to make sacrifices, whether they are required sacrifices or careless ones."
"But... we don't want to live like this."
"Are we really so small and helpless?"
"Does all our suffering really have meaning as long as it's mixed with precious memories?"
"Born for the wrong reasons, in the wrong world"
"Are they really worth saving?"
"We think it's worth it."
"Because it is us"
"It's also a world where everyone lives."
"For all the pain and trauma in this world, there are still people who are painfully living and breathing"
"To reach the time when everything is paid off"
"To achieve a victorious future"
"Whatever it takes."
"We all want to bring back the miracle called hope."
"This is—our last wish,"
"Let the Will of Honkai see——"
"The power of falling stars!"

Alright new prompt idea:
Everyone's weapons suddenly became sentient and gained the ability to talk.
(We'll start with one and work our way around.)
“Be careful where you’re swinging me!”
Ruby stopped for a moment as she heard the voice ring out from next to her, eyes glancing to try to find who yelled out to her. It didnt sound like Weiss’s or Penny’s, a bit more like Yang’s, but… she knew that couldnt be right since Yang was back with Blake and Jaune at the village. Though, there wasnt anyone else around her to talk to her.
“Ruby, watch out!”
Ruby took a quick step back as Penny blasted a grimm that rushed at her, heart pounding as she realized she had almost let her guard down. “T-thanks Penny.”
Penny rushed to Ruby’s side. “Your heart is beating rapidly. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Ruby answered back with a small smile, aware that Penny had scanned her before coming over. “You dont need to worry.”
“And its not like you to get distracted in a fight,” Weiss said as she let go of the glyph that created an earthen wall around them. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
Ruby nodded and folded up her scythe once she was sure the grimm were taking care of. “I thought I heard someone yell out to me.”
Penny looked a bit confused. “But there is no one else here with us.”
“I know.” Ruby put her scythe onto her back and sighed. “Maybe my communicator picked up someone else’s frequency. I doubt we’re the only huntresses who were sent all the way out here in Anima.”
Weiss shrugged and sheathed her rapier. “In that case, it might be best for us to use Penny’s scroll as a relay. That way we can make sure its only us that we hear.”
“I’d rather keep everything the way it is in case Yang needs to reach us.” Ruby pulled out her scroll and removed one of the markers from a map. “Looks like we have two more areas to check for grimm. Then we can return to the village for the night and leave in the morning.”
Penny smiled. “Lead the way.”
Ruby nodded and started to make her way through the forest, eyes peeled as kept an eye out for other grimm that they might’ve missed. Though, her mind was still distracted by whoever yelled out to her. Penny was right, there wasnt anyone else with them, but she could’ve sworn the voice came from right next to her. She turned off her communicator for a moment to let it reboot as she walked deeper into the forest, watching as the sunlight almost seemed to disappear when leaves got thicker.
“The next time we fight grimm, make sure not to hit the plating on them,” the voice spoke up again behind Ruby. “I know I can cut through it, but it still hurts to do that.”
Ruby paused in her step and readied her scythe, looking behind her. “Who’s there?”
“Did you hear something again?” Penny asked.
“I-I thought I did,” Ruby said as she lowered her scythe. “It sounded like someone spoke to me right behind me.”
The voice spoke again, but this time quieter and sounded more like it was in Ruby’s head. “Because I was on your back. But now that I’m in your hands, can you please check my blade? I’m pretty sure its dented from our last fight.”
Ruby almost felt her heart stop as she looked around for where the voice came from again. Someone had to have been messing with her. Fox had telepathy that let him speak to others in their heads, so it wouldnt be too far-fetched to think that another huntsman would have a semblance similar to his. Though, as she looked down at her scythe, she swore she saw a reflection that wasnt her own in the metal of the blade.
“You see how my blade is dented, right? Can you please fix that?”
“Who are you?”
“Crescent Rose,” the voice answered, its tone starting to become a bit sarcastic. “You were the one to give me that name.”
“Crescent Rose.” Ruby whispered under her breath, still staring at her scythe. Normally, she’d been thrilled to find out her weapon could talk, but right now, it seemed like a nightmare. Another voice to listen to, one that she couldnt tell was real or not. “I’ll check your blade after we have a moment to rest. Until then, I have to keep fighting.”
“Fine,” Crescent Rose answered.
“You have been staring at your weapon for a while,” Penny said. “Are you sure you are okay?”
Ruby jumped a bit as she felt Penny’s hand on her shoulder, quickly folding up her weapon and placing it on her back. “Of course I’m fine!” she lied. “Never felt better! We’re almost to the next recon point, so I think its time for us to start moving forward!”
Weiss put up a glyph. “Oh no you dont.”
Ruby stopped just before hitting the glyph, turning around to face Penny and Weiss. “Look, what’s going on with me doesnt matter right now. What does is finishing our mission to make sure this new settlement  is able to survive. If we dont then it’ll get overrun and-” she paused for a moment as she watched Weiss unsheathe her sword and look at it. “Weiss? Are you listening?”
“Y-yeah, I’m listening,” Weiss said as she sheathed her rapier. “You’re right. We need to finish this mission before we worry about anything else.”
Ruby nodded slowly, not sure why Weiss had a sudden change of heart but not really willing to argue with it. Afterall, it meant that they could start moving forward for the moment. Though, the way Weiss glanced at her rapier looked the same way she did. The look of confusion on her face, the sudden change in how she acted, all familiar to what she just experienced.
“There’s been a change in plans,” Yang’s voice said over the communicator. “I need you, Weiss, and Penny back at the village.”
“What for?” Ruby asked. “We’re still tracking down the last of the grimm-”
“It’ll be easier to explain once you get back. I’m not sure how much you’d believe.”
“What about the grimm? If we dont take care of them, they’ll come back again.”
“That’ll be a fight we’ll take care of when it happens.”
“Understood,” Ruby said with a sigh. “Looks like we’re going back to the village.”
Penny paused for a moment as she looked out towards the direction they had been heading. “Are you sure that is a good idea?”
“No, but… Yang said it was important.” Ruby sighed and started walking to the village again. “Worst case, the grimm attack again and we’ll be ready-”
“Grimm to your left,” Crescent Rose interrupted.
Ruby stopped and looked to her left, watching as a few of the bushes started to shake as a pack of beowolves jumped out at them. She quickly grabbed her scythe, unfolded it and smirked as she sliced at the closest grimm. Maybe having a talking weapon wasnt going to be too awful.

Chapter 1 -> Chapter 2
When you first met the group, you were in a bar fight. You started it, and you were damn determined to finish it. Your hair, which had been pulled into a small ponytail, fell to just about your shoulders. Your lip was busted as your hand made contact with someone's face and a wicked laugh came from your lips as you tilted your head back to down the rest of a beer before smashing it over the next person's head. The thick glass crumbled as it made contact with his skull and fell in chucks to the floor, making a crunch as his body hit the floor; the sound alone made your spine shiver in delight. You were just about finished when the bar door kicked open, gaining your attention just long enough for you to be smashed into a wall. You groaned in pain as your back hit the wooden wall, you slid down to the ground as your eyes fluttered shut seemingly knocked out. You heard the quiet thump of a body before you were picked up by your collar. Your eyes shot open and seemingly glowed for a moment as a growl pulled from your throat and your feet climbed up the body of the man that held you as you planted a firm knee to his face. You watched him stumble back and his shagged hair fluttered into his face as he bent over holding his nose before cutting his eyes up at you. A similar growl to what you had let out earlier left his lips, but his. His was much more primal and made a shiver go down your body. You weren't sure if it was because of fear or excitement and you stepped forward, in time with him, preparing to either get your shit rocked or to rock his before a voice cut both of you off.
"Scythe," you hadn't heard that name in a long time, "it's been a while, hasn't it?"
You turned your head with a scowl before seeing who's voice it belonged to. A smile crossed your face as you gave a mock bow and then grabbed the beer on the table next to you.
"Thor," you started before downing the alcohol without a flinch, "what a surprise; I thought daddy didn't want you on earth? Isn't it to dangerous for you?"
You asked as you put the cup down and stretched a little as you locked your fingers together and pushed them over your head. You hadn't seen the God of Thunder in a while, you almost forgot he existed. Almost. You had been talking for less than a minute before someone you looked like they belonged under the phrase "daddy's money" in the dictionary walked in, you looked between the god and the little mortal before you got an explanation. All the while you were keenly aware of the little demon behind you, it's jaws ready to snap your little neck like a twig if it's master so allowed it.
"You've met Bucky," Thor asked, "the one behind you, I think you broke his nose?"
His last few words made your snort as you glanced back and then pulled your hair back up.
"Kinda, I remember the face behind that mask from the war. Little lab rat, wasn't he? All over the news, kinda pathetic."
You said, purposely egging on the man behind you. Wondering how easily he could be upset by simple words. Which your answer came, in the form of a huff and being shoved by as he left the building. You heard a car door slam and smirked, knowing you had hit a little button.

Redesign the Nine
[This post is very long. Just a heads up.]
I'm a member of the Jury of Redesign, proud member of fleshing out previously left to rot or forgotten content. It's a hobby. A passion. I have and will continue to go into entire novellas to describe the inter personal relationships of characters we know next to nothing about, but what about characters we know literally nothing about?
We know only 6 members of the total 9 that belong to the Jury. Technically seven if you include Garroth, but that last for like twelve seconds, that doesn't count. And one of them is only made known as a member in Rebirth (which I really like and I like Rebirth). That means there's three entire characters just waiting to happen! How have I never thought of this before?!
This idea really struck me when I was looking at the Jo9 wiki page and saw this comment
Tumblr media
The rest of the comment goes on to their whole theory about Ein killing Blaze, but I am mostly against the idea of killing Blaze because nobody ever gives it enough story significance, weight, and meaning. Only I get to kill Blaze, you all lost your privileges.
That's not what's important though. What's important is that I actually love Teony and Ein. I think they're some of the most wasted Aphverse characters, and that's saying something considering how I literally never shut up about Blaze. So let's flesh them out in a... different setting.
Teony
I imagine Teony being in a very similar situation to Katelyn and Jeffory. She has someone she deeply cares about that Zane knows about and is threatening to put in danger. For Jeffory and Katelyn, it was family. For Teony, it's similar, but just a slight flavor different. A gay flavor different.
Teony belongs to a high ranking noble family in O'Khasis, like one step below the Ro'meave family. Originally the plan was for her to be married off to one of the Ro'meave heirs (probably Zane), but then she did something weird. She uhh... She started training to be a guard. And got strong enough fast enough that nobody could really stop her because Teony would just challenge them to a round of armed combat about it despite being literally 12.
So she was allowed to go to guard academy and go through full training. She was never going to be a lord, and she could still easily join the Jury and serve the same purpose with less arranged marriage. Also if they tried to arrange Teony into a marriage she might just pull a sword on them about it. She learned very quickly that her parents wouldn't be allowed to abuse or control her if they feared her. Caused a different kind of trauma compared to the other children of nobles.
And then she found out she was gay. While she was at the academy the person who was writing the Jury recruitment list was the newest member of the Jury herself; Ivy the Venom Scythe. Teony fell in unending sapphic love from first sight. Even if she had become wise to her parents controlling nature in search of power, she still respected and revered the Ro'meave family, and the Jury of Nine. She was set up for it, and she wanted that. And now that she was finally experiencing love for a member of the Jury of Nine.
As always, things in Teony's life were set up for perfection. And she was such an overachiever, are you kidding me? Top ranks in all her classes even though she didn't need to. She would half ass it sometimes and still get the highest scores on every test. When she put her all into something, there wasn't any competition. She was just showing off for Ivy, and she did not hide that in the slightest. Ivy was fully aware that Teony was not only showing off, she knew that Teony was in love, or at least lust with her. Teony is not subtle at all, it's just not a concept to her yet.
On the last day of her training at the academy, Zane Ro'meave himself shows up. I imagine Zane and Teony were almost sort of childhood friends. Zane didn't really like having friends, but he and Teony were personable and able to get along when they were forced to spend time together by their parents. He has a sort of fondness for Teony in a "I'll see where you're going with this" sense. He's heard how passionate she is about fighting and being a guard. And he knows it's not for a violent sake, but because of that nobility that is her bloodline and the baseline of her identity as a person.
She may be overzealous, she may be a know-it-all, she may be a show-off, but Teony always fights with honor. She always showers her classmates a great amount of dignity and respect when they fight her. To her combat is an art form, one that she takes very seriously. She won't attack unless provoked, and more often than not will just skip the talking it out phase and just jump to the dueling stage because that's the part she understands best.
She's autistic. That's what I'm saying. Teony is an autistic lesbian. Look at her go! However, Zane is terrible and evil and so is Ivy. When telling him the candidates, he brings up that Teony is a no brainier. Which is when Ivy tells him that Teony is in love with her and was fighting to earn her attention. She willingly threw away some of her nobility in the name of love. Which means she can do it again if provoked to.
What better way to provoke her than to give it to her and then threaten to take it away? Zane and Ivy literally manipulate Teony, putting her on the Jury, assigning her to work with Ivy, and Ivy starts actively feeding into it in a rather coy way just to drag her along. And right when Teony is ready to fess up, her parents show up at the Ro'meave manner. Teony remembers what they expect of her. That they don't know the truth about her.
She knows beyond a shadow of a doubt they'd disown her. Jury members aren't supposed to have family anyway. For a minute she thinks about outing herself to sever her ties. But then she learns that her mother is pregnant again. She... She has a little sister on the way. And if she cuts ties with her family now, she'll never get to meet her. She doesn't know Zane invited them at first, but when he talks to her later, she pieces it all together.
Zane says he'll let her family live, even let them be known as her family if she wants, but she isn't allowed to be with Ivy in any non-professional manner. Otherwise she'll give herself away, and while he doesn't exactly threaten it, Zane makes it very clear he will out Teony to her parents if she doesn't do as he orders from now until the end of time. It's then that Teony realizes she's trapped. She went from one gilded cage to another.
Until it got to be too much for her. Remember how Jeffory was apparently on the Demon Warlock Island in Gal'ruk? And it was literally never explained. What if he was there to find her? What if it became too much for Teony after meeting her sister, and she ran away? Zane doesn't know what happened when Teony met with her younger sister, but it was enough to shake her that she barely responded to Zane's taunting when she returned. And then she left that night.
Jeffory was sent to follow her trail. And he actually found her before she managed to break the Demon Warlocks curse. On a completely different continent, no guard escorts, and no way that Zane can hear them, they talk openly. They confide in one another. And they work together, as friends, to break the curse and get themselves back home. Teony moves to a different island in Gal'ruk, and tells Jeffory to give Ivy a letter the next time he sees her.
And he's not allowed to let it leave his hands unless it's Ivy taking it. No messengers. No leaving it somewhere she'll find it. Jeffory never learned the contents of that letter, but he did manage to deliver it to Ivy. Only she and Teony knows what's contained in those pages.
(Final note, idk what her funny anime villain name or her weapons would be. I would love council/jury/anyone to give input here. Same for the next member)
Ein
Ein being a big heroic softie is the best thing ever to me you don't understand.
Tumblr media
Much like the doll anon, this anon changed my life. I love this idea so much. Listen, I like unrelentingly evil characters, just look at Zane. But that's the thing. Zane's already there. And so is Janus. And Ivy. And probably Lilian. And another character I've yet to get to. And even more characters when we get out of the Jury. We need more innocence that becomes corrupted in the Jury, everyone likes being evil too much.
So I want to make Ein a big ol' softie. He grew up in the Brightport Wolf Tribe with his best friend eventually turned lover Blaze. They mostly stayed within the confines of their tribe, which was small, but spacious enough for two wolf children prone to rough housing to get their energy sufficiently out. It was only when they were older that they started waking up to the... less than ideal circumstances of their relationship.
After being friends and being incredibly close and physically affectionate, when the two started thinking about mating and all that dumb romantic nonsense, it just made sense that they would be with each other in that way too. It's how they got through everything else in life. It was at the ruiner and creator of gay romances, that Irene forsaken Guard Academy that things got... worse.
Because Ein is definitely a very well rounded fighter. He's decently studious, wanting to keep up on speaking both the werewolf language and the more common language, and making sure that Blaze does the same. But Blaze finds these things to be dreadfully boring and doesn't put in more effort than Ein makes him. This is fine when they were kids and their plans weren't more ambitious than protecting their tribe. But their Alpha wanted to see if humans and werewolves could truly get along.
If anyone could prove that werewolves are just as human as they are, it would be these two dorks. But uhh, people are racist. And homophobic. So it doesn't go great. Couple that with the fact that the academy prioritizes individual excellence over collective greatness and suddenly things are just doomed to go wrong for these two. Ein naturally excels, and Blaze who's used to having someone to rely on starts falling behind without the consistent support system.
That was his emotional support nerdy jack of all trades boyfriend! How could you take that away from him? And Ein is stripped of his absolutely pure of heart dumb of ass boyfriend. They don't even get to stay in the same bunks as each other, and barely have any classes together. It's just awful. But Ein finds... something else. After doing particualrly well on a certain test, one of the teachers pulls him aside and tells Ein he might be able to qualify for the Jury of Nine position. Or at least be their bench warmer.
Ein's ambitions in life never went too far beyond the borders of their childhood home. He was the one who always pressured Blaze into going further than they were allowed, but Blaze was easily convinced anyways. But Ein was always an ambitious person. He just didn't know enough about the world to realize them. The highest he'd ever gone was thinking "Wow, it'd be cool to be the Alpha." And like that's it.
Suddenly he's told that if he somehow gets better than he already is he could hold one of the highest positions in the entire fucking continent. It's a no brainier. He has to go for it. He doesn't realize it means he's only being further isolated, pulled away from his few meet ups with Blaze to study, to practice, to do something that only a top student does and a near drop out student doesn't.
In fact the last time they see each other is, like with Teony, the day before the Jury posting for their class. Ein is sure he's on that list. Maybe not the top spot, but defiantly in the top five. Just as he's about to go introduce himself to Zane Ro'meave, try and make a good impression to sweeten his chances, he gets intercepted by Blaze.
Who just hands him a letter. And he whispers a single word under his breath as he's leaving; "Goodbye."
Ein reads the letter immediately, heartbroken to read that Blaze flunked out and is going back home without him. Blaze says he's proud of Ein for being able to go so far, and hopes he gets on the Jury. Ein knows he's lying. He tries to chase after Blaze, to try and make it up to him, but then suddenly Zane's there. He's caught Ein in a dangerously vulnerable moment, and while Ein manages to recover, he never gets the chance to wipe the tears from his eyes.
He never learns what rank he got on the Jury list. Just that he was one of the two who were filling vacant seats from this class. It's painfully bitter sweet. It's everything Ein wanted, but he realized that he never made room for Blaze in these dreams of grandeur. He tried to help Blaze at first, but Blaze eventually rejected his offers. And Ein couldn't even blame him. He'd been ignoring and neglecting the most important relationship in his life. And if Ein keeps going down this path, he realizes he'll destroy it even more.
In spite of that, he accepts the invitation and starts working as a Jury member for Zane. One month into his stay at the Ro'meave Manor as Zane's personal body guard, Zane asks him an odd question. A name he's apparently heard Ein muttering to himself and in his sleep. "Blaze."
Ein tries to say it's nothing, just an old friend he was thinking of reaching out to. That's when Zane makes it clear that Ein has absolutely no control here. Because he saw what happened between them. He asks if this old friend happened to be the one that gave him "that love letter". Ein tries to find it where he keeps it tucked into his armor, but Zane is holding it. He knows everything. And he's known the entire time he's had Ein in the Jury. It was all a test of loyalty.
If he reaches out to Blaze, he will fail. And again, Zane doesn't directly state what the penalty is, but he makes it abundantly clear that it's death for both Ein and Blaze. Ein was always easiest controlled when he was isolated. After this he was only paired up with two members of the Jury Zane trusted enough. Lilian, and the last member of the Jury. We'll get to him in a second.
As a result, Ein desired but never sought freedom. He knew Blaze was capable of a great life, he had a future, and was probably going on incredible adventures without him. He never forgot where he came from, and who he accidentally left behind. When Zane and Lilian disappeared... Ein was set free. His leash was just dropped for the first time. Mr. Mysterious wasn't even there to pick it up.
And he ran straight home.
There's only one threat that's unknowingly standing in the way of Ein's happiness. And his name is
Zachary the Plague
Nobody knows where the title came from. They don't want to. Zachary is one of the oldest members, sometimes referred to as the "shadow member" of the Jury. He's rarely seen, and scarily little is known about him.
And that's because he doesn't directly work for Zane. Unlike the others, who were all put under Zane's command after the other Ro'meave heirs died, Zachary stayed under the command of Garte. He did work for Zane here and there, Garte didn't get out much and was content to leave it all to Zane. And Zachary took a liking to Ein when they met, and when he requested that Ein train under him for some time, Zane wasn't in a position to object.
The only people who would be able to give more insight into Zachary are Garte, Janus, and Ein. Garte won't talk. Ever. Zachary is his most trusted guard, and that is all anyone needs to know. Janus just says they respect Zachary. It says enough given what it's known that Janus values. Ein freezes when he hears the name. Even when he says it.
He's only told Blaze what he knows, and neither one will willingly give up this information. He's a quiet fear in the back of Ein's mind, but Zachary stayed with Garte. Even when Zane disappeared, he stayed with Garte. He was never relieved of his duties officially or unofficially. The reason he abandoned Ein is because Garte told him to. He always followed orders.
It's unknown where he or Garte are now.

Gemini | Gojo Satoru

SYNOPSIS: Other halves are difficult to find and more difficult to keep.

"Ah, seems like I was a bit late," you said with a soft exhale, referring to Gojo Satoru's dead body.
"Hmm?"
Fushiguro Toji's gaze fell on you as you reached behind your head. He held the Heavenly Spear in his hands, bending over to lunge.
Your hands traveled down your head, unzipping the layers of your flesh until your body was split in half.
A leg stepped out of your body, then a hand reached out to grip your arm for stability.
The body let out a cheer. "Finally! Big sis, 's been forever since I've been out!"
"Sorry, Kana-chan," you said.
"It's all right, Big sis! Who're we fightin'?"
You smiled as your body zipped itself back up and your little sister turned around to stand next to you.
"The big man in front of us," you answered. "This is a special request from Tengen himself."
Kana clicked her tongue in annoyance. "Don't see why we gotta be helpin' that fuckin' tree."
"I know, Kana, but as sorceresses, we must protect those who need us."
"Whatever," she muttered.
You smiled fondly at your little sister's attitude. Though brash, you knew she had a good heart.
"Let's make this quick," you said, lifting your arms and summoning your cursed energy. Bright purple flames erupted around your hands as you activated your technique, Hellfire.
Kana grinned, her own pink aura flaring up around her. She always loved using her abilities, especially when she got to fight alongside you.
Fushiguro narrowed his eyes, gripping the spear tightly. He had not expected to face two opponents. But it did not matter - he would cut you both down.
With blinding speed, Fushiguro lunged forward, thrusting the spear toward you. But you were ready. Ducking beneath the spearhead, you thrust your palms out, blasting Fushiguro with a wave of purple fire.
He jumped back, managing to avoid the worst of the flames. But before he could counterattack, Kana was on him. Her fists flew as she pummeled him with a flurry of glowing pink punches.
Fushiguro attempted to block and dodge, but your little sister's attacks came fast and furious.
While you were elegant and regal, your sister was a rain of hail, having the stamina of an ostrich.
While you two had similar techniques, the true power was in your differences. Kana never got tired. No matter who the opponent was, the steady beat and rhythm of her attacks never faltered.
Your true power laid in not being able to sustain injuries, meaning that death was escapable for you. You were just a hollow shell when Kana was out, but no opponent could reach her.
Seeing an opening, you summoned a whip of purple fire and lashed out, wrapping it around Fushiguro's ankle. With a sharp pull, you yanked his leg out from under him, sending the assassin crashing to the ground.
In a flash, he grabbed the Heavenly Spear and swept it in a wide arc toward Kana's legs. She nimbly jumped over it, but the move had been a feint. Fushiguro reversed direction and thrust the spear toward your heart with lightning speed.
You barely had time to react. Twisting sideways, you avoided a fatal blow, but the spear still sliced deep into your side.
The spear wound on your side slowly knit itself back together as an eerie purple glow surrounded you.
It wasn't supposed to be possible. You shouldn't have been able to stitch yourself back together because of the Heavenly Spear, but you did.
"Are you sure about this, Fushiguro Toji? Are you prepared to die and leave your children alone?"
He stared at you coldly.
"You can still leave now and see them as if nothing happened."
He grinned. "Over my dead body."
"I see. That is a shame. I don't enjoy the idea of taking a father away from his children," you said softly.
"Kill him, Kana."
The purple flames on your fingertips were being sucked toward Kana like a vacuum. They combined with her pink flames to form a scythe made of magenta flames.
She twirled the scythe around before swinging it in front of her. She grinned, teeth and all at Fushiguro before lunging at him.
As the two fought, you walked toward Gojo and knelt next to him. You let out a soft sigh, then closed his eyes with your fingers.
"Big sis, I'm done!"
You stood up and brushed the dirt off your clothes, then smiled at the sight of Fushiguro's dead body.
"Great job, Kana! Make sure to take care of the spear."
The scythe in her hands disappeared and she grabbed the Heavenly Spear from his dead hand, then opened her mouth. Slowly, the scythe went further and further down her throat until it was completely gone.
The back of your body unzipped itself and you turned around. Your insides were red and made of tissue as a normal body would be.
Kana skipped toward you and laid herself into the shape of your body.
"See you later, Big sis!"
"See you then, Kana-chan."
"What the fuck was that?"
You were startled, eyes blinking as they focused on Gojo who was somehow alive. You tilted your head to the side. The only sound was the sound of your body zipping up.
"Did your body just open?" he asked.
"I think the question I should be asking is how you're alive," you retorted. "And as your senior, you should be using honorifics, Gojo."
"Should I know you?"
"I graduated a year before you came to Jujutsu Tech," you explained. "Where is the Star Plasma vessel?"
"Here!" shouted Geto from the other side of the crater Gojo created.
Spotting Amanai by his side and not with Master Tengen, you let out a laugh.
"Oh, you are so screwed," you said. "You're letting her go?"
"It's her choice," said Gojo.
You hummed. "Well, whatever. I'm only here because of Yaga. He's a good teacher, isn't he?"
The two boys blinked at you before grinning.
"Be well. Stay alive," you said to Gojo before jumping over the crater. "I won't always be there to save your asses."
Even though you had said what was supposed to be a goodbye, you got stuck with personally teaching Gojo how to be a responsible sorcerer and how to become stronger.
"I'm only twenty-two!" you exclaimed.
All the elegance you held previously had disappeared. Gojo absolutely wore you out. He didn't care about any honorifics or being responsible.
"Why did I get stuck with you?" you cried. "Please, God, help me."
Gojo was pinky deep in his nostril, picking out loose boogers.
"Don't be so dramatic, Y/N."
"I hate you," you said.
"So how'd you get that other body, anyways?" he questioned, flicking a booger in a random direction.
Your annoyance dissipated and turned into fondness.
"Kana and I were actual twins in the womb," you said softly. "Since birth, I had been blessed with cursed energy. I ate her in the womb, but she progressed in life with me. She is my technique and my other half. I love her dearly."
"Can she hear us?"
"No, not really. She knows enough whenever she's let out, but I'm the original body. I'm the host."
"Doesn't she hate you for that?" Gojo asked.
Your fingers twitched. You wished she would hate you for it. She was supposed to live too. Maybe the both of you would be normal teenagers now with boyfriends and friends to hang out with, instead of exorcising curses and killing people.
But because you were the one alive, she fed off whatever you believed in. To her, she is alive. She is your real sister and you loved her for it, so she loved you too.
"No, she doesn't," you said. "Let's get back to training."
Despite Gojo's lack of manners, you couldn't help but feel fond of him as the months passed. His raw power and talent were undeniable, and underneath his cocky exterior, you sensed a good heart.
Slowly, your irritation turned to fondness as you got to know the man behind the arrogance. You saw how deeply he cared for his friends, though he'd rather die than admit it.
Gojo changed too, maturing bit by bit under your guidance. He still loved to push your buttons, but his teasing took on a more flirtatious tone. A lingering glance here, a casual touch there.
But you were still older than him. It couldn't be anything more. His little flirty remarks were just that. It was a little puppy love.
So, you left.
You claimed that Gojo had learned everything he could from you and you left without a goodbye.
Gojo didn't see you or hear from you again until the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. It had been a decade since then.
"Y/N."
You softly smiled. "Still not using honorifics?"
He shrugged. "Never did back then."
He had just killed his best friend and the only place he could think to go was your room. You reached for his hand and smiled when you felt his skin.
"Let's sit," you offered.
The two of you sat on the edge of the bed in silence. You waited for him to be ready to talk — if he was ever ready. But you didn't mind if he never spoke.
"Why did you leave all those years ago?"
If you hadn't left, maybe Geto wouldn't have left either. Maybe you would have been able to get through to both of them.
Geto was his other half, much like Kana was yours. The four of you had your own Gemini.
Amanai had only lived for an extra week until Q wanted her dead, even after the full moon. She had no purpose anymore and only disrupted everything set in motion.
"You're grown now," you said, patting his hand. "You know why."
He pursed his lips. "You're only five years older than me."
"At the time, those five years were big. Besides, you did learn almost everything from me already."
"Not everything," he said as he placed your hand on his cheek.
He leaned into it and looked at you with those piercing blue eyes. You attempted to pull back, but he only gripped you harder.
"You spent months alone with me," he said. "And then you left, even though you knew how I felt about you. I don't like people, Y/N, but I liked you and you left."
"I'm sorry — "
"Your apologies don't do anything. They don't make me feel better and they won't change anything," he spat out.
During this spat, you didn't notice that you were leaning back while he was leaning forward until your back hit the mattress.
He removed your hand from his cheek and placed your hand at your side in order to tuck his nose into the crook of your neck.
"I trusted you."
I loved you.
"I trusted you too."
I loved you too.
He nuzzled into you. "Can we stay like this?"
"Yeah, let's stay like this."
