amethio and silver with a kogal gyaru s/o.

requested
YEAH, YEAH! first time writing for silver in pokespe, a big roller coaster. this might be a bit ooc, also amethio's is set before episode 65. note this is strictly manga silver, not game silver! I apologise in advance if there's spelling mistakes i barely proof read.
— NOTE : LOWERCASE INTENDED
— AMETHIO
amethio is not one to judge, infact he's very supportive, because of his job he's seen many people with many different styles. he's seen many gyaru's before, so he definitely has common knowledge about why and how you guys do this style.
he'll try it, reluctantly and only once. you can put hair clips on him, and do his make up! he'll wash it off afterwards though, it's not that he doesn't like it, it's that he has a status to approve and the admins aren't really on friendly terms right now, sango would definitely love you if she found out you existed.
amethio likes to observe you doing your make up, he could watch you for hours and not get bored. and attentively too, he'd ask "what's that one for?" when curious what your make products do.
gives you random things at anytime cute key charms, hair clips, accessories, anything cute he's seen you look at before or bought. if you have pokemon yourself, he'll buy key chains of your pokemon to stick to your rotom phone. he'd use the reasoning "i saw this while on duty, and thought you'd like it" so sweet!
supportive, would volunteer to take your photos even if they look a little wonky... he's trying! he'll get better eventually and you'll have a portable camera director.
would jump everybody that gives you weird looks in his mind, judging is for ugly people.
— SILVER
when first meeting you silver did not judge or get weirded out, since its common around johto for girls to have this style. he found it pretty cool and charming.
please do geek out about your interests and things you'd want to do with your style, silver is interested and will definitely listen to your yapping spree.
tough to say, but silver would not try the style or would want anything to do with it. he doesn't hate it, but he's more comfortable wearing his own stuff. although if you give him something like a bracelet or hair tie he'll treasure it with his life.
he likes walking with you, and letting you go shopping! silver is technically a nepo baby so he has alot of money, and always volunteers to pay for you and your shenanigans. it's that whole scene you'd see a cute item and you ask him if he wants one. he'd go completely silent for a second thinking.
"hey silver, look at these silly phone cases!" you say, grabbing his attention. "a gengar phonecase?..." silver tilted his head, "no good?"
"If you want you can buy it, I don't really care." silver responds at you, as your pointing at the items. "but I wanna buy it for the both of us! we should get two, unless you don't like it?"
"no, no it's fine I don't really need one." he reassures, looking back at them and then your face second guessing what he said. right as you were gonna put the other one back to the rack, "you know what, I'll use it."
the sparkle in your eyes was so adorable, maybe he should give in once in a while...
silver wins the idgaf war, he'd use his phone in public with the phone case you bought! (with his money) even if gold asks him silver shrugs. "it's pretty cool." is his common response, another thing of winning idgaf war is that he's not afraid to approach somebody who was giving you weird stares.

Interest Check!
For anyone who doesn't know, Dungeons and Daddies the Manga is a project I've been working on for a year and a half, beginning way back in September 2022. It's been a yonkoma-style recap manga, where I chose four moments from every episode of the podcast to make into comic strips, and just an hour ago, the very last pages dropped. It's been a huge project I'm very proud of, and now I'm looking into the potential to sell physical copies.
Some of you might be thinking: "why would I want to pay money for a physical book when all the pages are available for free online?" The physical edition of Dungeons and Daddies the Manga would not only include the 212 pages of the manga and 53 "end card" illustrations, but there would also be an included merch bundle with stickers and postcards. And if I can get support for the physical edition, I will be making 24 physical edition-exclusive pages, 4 pages for each episode of Sons and Sonsability and Dadatha Christie. These pages will never be posted on Tumblr or in the DnDads Discord, they will only ever be for supporters of a physical manga, and if I don't make the physical edition, they simply won't exist at all.
Please share this around to your podcast enjoying friends! I'm not looking at percentages in this poll, I'll just be calculating the number of people voting "yes." And please only vote yes if you really mean it. I don't want to spend time and money on something and then not break even on it.
If you don't recognize this project, start at the beginning right here or navigate to your favourite episode using the masterpost
#I'm so crazy proud of this#but please don't feel bad if you don't want to pay money for it!#I've had my fun one way or another#noodly#dndads#dungeons and daddies#poll

Kishimoto for the 2nd Official Databook (April 9, 2005)
I've found the scans for the second official databook which includes a short interview with Kishimoto that came out after the finale of the first part of the manga.
Now is the time for Kishimoto-sensei to speak!! NARUTO. All about "Part 1"
A special interview in which Kishimoto answers questions about the keywords of the concluded "Part 1"!!
"If you put in the effort, you will definitely be recognized!"
―What was the theme?
Kishimoto: The theme of "Part 1"… It's difficult to describe in one word. I wanted to vary the themes as much as possible by changing the characters who grow in each series so that readers wouldn't get bored. When I think about what I've been portraying throughout the series, I think the one thing that comes to mind is "people accepting other people." At first, Naruto is feared and shunned as a boy who has the Nine Tails' Youhan sealed inside him, but he tries his best to be accepted. And the people around him, seeing his feelings, gradually start to recognize him… Naruto's ninjutsu and chakra abilities have improved over time, but I think the biggest change throughout "Part One" is that he gained people who recognized him.
In other words, "Part One" is the story of "Naruto, who wants to be acknowledged," and "the people around him who acknowledge him." However, it wasn't that the people around him acknowledged him because Naruto grew up. In fact, Naruto only grew up in the first chapter of the series. The story of Naruto, the mischievous boy who undertakes his ninja path, is what is serialized there. So, why did the villagers come to acknowledge Naruto? It's because the villagers grew up. Naruto's way of thinking and efforts were always something that should have been acknowledged. Over time, more and more people came to recognize that.
―What's your favorite scene from "Part 1"?
Kishimoto: There are a few chapters in "Part 1" that I like, but when I think about it, I realize that a lot of them are actually from the beginning. I really like when Konohamaru appears in chapter 3. I also like the story about Inari in Wave Country, and the chapter with Zabuza and Haku. After that, I guess it would be the chapters related to Gakinra… In particular, I made a lot of additions and revisions to the scenes related to Gaara's past when I included them in the volume (those details didn't appear in shonen jump magazine). I couldn't help wanting to depict Gaara's background and psychology more thoroughly, so I don't tend to add or revise too much, and that means that there are a lot of scenes that involve people I know (laughs).
―What is the theme of Part 2?
Kishimoto: In "Part 2", I want to continue the theme of "people accepting other people". Also, I'd like to depict a bit of "love" that I wasn't able to depict in "Part 1" (laughs). But it seems difficult… what should I do (laughs). Anyway, I'm not going to give up halfway through, and I'll do my best to draw with all my might until the very end, so I hope everyone will continue to support me!
Kishimoto-sensei makes a bold announcement!! The exciting new chapter in the Naruto world!! Kishimoto-sensei himself will reveal the secret behind the intriguing scenes you've been reading!!!
Naruto
Q1: How many ramen bowls has Iruka-sensei bought Naruto so far?
A: He buys him ramen around once a week, so it'd be 50 bowls a year, a 100 if Naruto eats two.
Q2: How much money does Naruto carry on his pouch when he goes to the festival?
A: Considering he had to give Jiraiya money, around 30.000 ryo (2.000 euros)
Naruto says "Give me back my money, ero-sennin!"
Sasuke
Q3: Why is the cursed seal different from person to person?
A: Because it'd be pretty boring if it looked the same (laughs)
Q4: How many love letters did Sasuke received in the ninja academy?
A: The amount the most popular person in school would get.
Sasuke says "Hmph… that's stupid/pointless…"
Sakura
Q5: who do you prefer: Sakura, Ino, Hinata, or Tenten?
A: I like Tenten's design.
Q6: Self-proclaimed maiden Sakura, does she have treasures befitting her title as a maiden?
A: Maybe a photo of Sasuke or something?
Sakura says "I'm not a stalker!!! but I do have one..."
Q7: How much money does Tsunade owe?
A: Thousands of ryo
Q8: How much money does Jiraiya have saved?
A: Around the same amount as Tsunade owes.
Q9: Who would win in a fight between Kakashi and Gai?
A: I like to think Gai would win.
Q10: Has Shikamaru ever lost at shogi?
A: Sometimes? against his dad.
Kishimoto-sensei answered the management survey that was collected at WJ!!
Questions:
Which scene moved you the most (made you feel motivated)?
What's your favorite cover?
What is the phrase that has touched your heart the most (or your favorite one)?
Which character would you pick to be your sensei?
Which character would you like as the leader of your group?
A1: "It's the scene where Naruto is stabbed on his hand and is thinking about his dream. I couldn't get Naruto's expression right, so I redrew it many times."
A2: The one of the legendary Sannin as children. It was very tough to come up with the designs of the characters and their summonings from scratch. That's why I like it a lot.
A3: I love all the lines that Guy says to Lee about how people should live their lives. It's like he's giving a lecture, isn't it? (laughs) I think that's a good thing.
A4: The third hokage. I'm a grandpa's kid, so I like talking to old people (laughs). Also, he seems to be really strong.
A5: Iruka. "After all, he seems kind and is a comforting presence for the students... I think I would have liked to have a teacher like him during my school days."
#kishimoto interview#naruto archive#Kishimoto saying he wanted to depict love in part 2 but then saying to promote the last mid that he never depicted love before okay...

Hi hello!! I adore your oshi no ko analyses and chapter reviews/thoughts! I always make it a point to, whenever a new manga chapter releases, always to read your reviews after reading the chapter =3=
I wanted to ask!
What are some of your Hoshino Ai headcanons?
I had a very silly one for quite a while ever since the DVDs were brought into the story and that is when Ai recorded them, there were times she had to stop what she was saying and walk out of frame after hearing baby Ruby crying or something like that. Just having the twins interrupt her and just turning into a wholesome, funny thing for Ai.
GOD I HAVE SO MANY AI HEADCANONS I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START… I'm constantly playing Blobo TV with her in my brain both for RP/fanfic purposes and also just for when I'm bored at work lol so I have so many in my head… So I'll rapidfire a bunch off the top of my head!
Ai can't cook! Most of her meals are premade stuff or like, bentos bought from supermarkets, etc. She was never taught literally Anything about cooking when she was younger so she has zero instinct or starting knowledge or lbr even time to try and learn, but she commits to at least trying once Aqua and Ruby are born. She is absolutely not good at it even when she really gets her nose to the grindstone but eventually becomes passable. Ironically, she's actually better at baking then cooking, because baking recipes are WAY more precise and exact and she has an easier time when she has a set of Very Exact Step By Step Instructions to follow.
On a food note, she has really bad spice tolerance…!!! Anything hotter than like, the medium spicy Golden Curry range is so far out of her strike zone it isn't even funny. Ruby is the same (a hold over from eating mostly bland food as Sarina) but Aqua really likes spicy stuff and his tolerance is really good as a result. Unfortunately, he also doesn't really realize just how high his tolerance is - it was way worse as Gorou so he keeps underestimating how hot things are. So anytime Ai is like "hey Aqua how spicy is this" he's like "oh it's not too bad" and then Ai takes a bite and dies and it takes years before they manage to figure out the differences in their tolerance LOL
She's a little clumsy…! It's a side of her people rarely see because she's so graceful and careful as an idol, but the #1 way to tell she's comfortable with someone is that they're allowed to see her being a bit of a failgirl.
I mentioned this in another ask but I like to think she gets back into video games on her hiatus… not super deep, but she grabs a cheap secondhand GBA SP and one of those carts that's like 20 puzzle games in one or something and keeps playing it even after she goes off hiatus. Since she's so busy, it's easier for her to get into things like Tetris where your play sessions don't have to be that long and there's no story to follow… anything like an RPG would be no good. Eventually one year, Aqua and Ruby pool some money and get her a jailbroken DS or something for her birthday and even though she has a bajillion games on it, she mostly still just plays Tetris………..
She really wants to be a plant mom but her schedule means that she inevitably gets so busy she forgets to water them and they end up dying and she's depresso every time…
Appearance wise, between the twins, Aqua is actually the one who looks most like her - Ruby definitely does too but grows more into her own features as she grows up, whereas Aqua still really strongly resembles Ai even once he's all grown up.
She has a ton of those influencer ass hyperspecific trendy gadgets and appliances around the house, not because she buys them but because companies keep sending them to her in hopes of getting her to promote them and she never does LOL. If she actually gets a sponsorship deal through work then she'll do it, but even then it's mostly her just hyping something up and saying she uses it every single day when 90% of the time they just end up rotting at the bottom of her drawer. Pretty much the only thing she ends up regularly using is like, toiletries and hair care products and that's just because it saves her having to shop for them but she has absolutely zero brand loyalty.
As an adult, she copies a lot of her fashion sense from Miyako! Her style leans more girly and fresh than Miyako's does but Ai doesn't really care about clothes so she never developed a sense of fashion growing up. But she knows Miyako is a pretty stylish person and looks up to her as someone to emulate fashion from. Of course, when she's incognito or chilling at home, she still always prefers her comfy hoodies and sweaters and plain, loose clothes.
Ai likes Kana a lot! This was technically canonized in the Da Vinci interview and I felt so smug when I saw it lol. But I've always thought Ai would like Kana - she sort of vicariously enjoys her cheekiness and confidence and admires her drive and her passion and craft at such a young age. When Kana joins B-Komachi, Ai sort of recognises how much of her fire has gone out and its immediately like free daughter??? Free daughter for Hoshino Ai???? She and Mem also get along really well but because they're closer in age, the dynamic is more friendly coworkers whereas she and Kana have a more senpai/kouhai surrogate mom figure thing going on.
she's our strongest aqukana warrior btw
Aaaand finally… If Ai had ever found out about Aqua and Ruby's past lives, she would have loved and accepted them all the same. If anything, knowing just how terribly alone and starved of care they both were would have encouraged her to make sure they felt loved, safe and accepted as her kids. After all, Ai, too, is a "motherless child" as Tsukuyomi describes the twins - she'd absolutely understand.

Got a little more exhibition merch~ The Twiyor acrylic figures (specifically their date outfits!)

The figure set is based off of these illustrations from the manga volumes.
The reason I didn't get these when I did my first order of exhibition merch was because they were so hard to find! At first I was on the fence about whether to buy the whole set of fourteen or just a few. On the first day exhibition merch went on sale, I saw someone selling all fourteen for about $114 on Mercari (they're sold either as complete sets or individual blind bags).

I really should have grabbed that full set, but I was hesitant about spending that much right away and thought I could find a better deal, or that I might just want a few of them. I eventually decided to just get my favorites of the set, which are the day 7 date outfits since those are the most "twiyor-ish" ones ❤ But...no one was selling them! I checked Mercari several times a day for a couple weeks but could not find those particular ones. All the acrylics in this set were hard to find compared to other exhibition merch, but the day 7 ones were especially rare. I finally got lucky and found someone selling just day 7 Yor and bought her immediately. But not a single person was selling just day 7 Loid, not even in a set with 2-3 others. After I bought the Yor figure, I had 30 days to keep it in Buyee's storage before they'd start charging me a daily fee. I thought for sure I'd find someone selling Loid within that time and would then ship them together...but the days went by and still no day 7 Loid! But eventually I found someone selling the full set of Loid figures for about $50 and decided to get it so I would have enough time to pack it with the Yor figure and save an extra shipping cost. So yeah, in addition to day 7 Loid and Yor, I also have all of Loid's other outfits!

In the end, I didn't really save money because if I had continued to wait for someone to sell day 7 Loid by himself, it would have been cheaper than buying the $50 full set, but then I would have had to pay two shipping costs since I likely wouldn't have gotten it within the 30 day holding period. So what I should have done was spend the $114 for all of them on the first day, then I would have had the complete Yor set too for about the same amount of money I just spent 😂 Oh well! I might give a few of the Loid figures away to friends, but I definitely want to keep the day 1 Loid since that's my second favorite of his outfits. Maybe I'll get day 1 Yor to go with him at some point.
But in the meantime, their day 7 date figures have found a nice spot on my (already crowded) work desk!

So with that out of the way, I'll share some screenshots and my experience from the little I played from the Spy x Family game.
Note/reminder that I openly don't recommend buying the game for a computer, as the controls are clunky, and since that version is half-baked it's not worth your money, even if you plan on using a controller. Different case if you buy it for a console, though.
So the graphics are actually pretty cute, and I think they translate the feeling of the 2D characters into a 3D game environment pretty well! The music stands between an inspiration from the original anime soundtrack and typical day-in-the-life simulation game soundtrack, though mostly the latter. I wasn't impressed that much but it wasn't something that annoyed me. It's just a bit of a pity because they could definitely get some inspiration from the original soundtrack, but oh well.
Playing the game, Anya starts at Eden College, and you get a tutorial showing you how to move and interact with other characters and objects. First it instructs you to talk to Becky, then to Damian.

And as I saw that I was like "... Do I have to?" XD Luckily, he wasn't annoying that time, just distant.
Then Anya comes back home to tell her parents about her Diary project, and I had her explore the house a bit.
In the manga and anime there's this small separate space on the hall right by the entrance, and I actually just realized that, but in the game's version of the house that area doesn't exist.
From what I remember, in the game there is just a wall where the opening to this space is. Since this space is rarely used in the manga/anime and it would have taken memory space, I understand why they didn't add it. From the little I played Anya could only move around the main spaces, kitchen, dining/living area and hall, but those parts were pretty accurate.

And according to my post about the Forgers' kitchen, here it looks accurate to the anime, though with a two-door fridge instead.

I mostly took this because I found it funny how atrocious his posture was XD he's probably tired, the poor man.
One of the few minigames I tried was bowling. I like how each characters game traits actually fit their characters XD

Like, Yor is Strong™ but with the least dexterity, Anya is the luckiest but also the weakest, Loid is the most dexterous... and also the unluckiest. I'm telling you, I can find opportunities for angst like it's my job.
Anyway, that minigame was actually nice, it took me a bit to get the hang of the curveballs but I'm sure I could get better at it if I trained more. I played as Loid, too XD
I liked the characters' responses to their throws, either going like "This is hard" or "This is harder than it looks" (even Loid, lmao, with me controlling him he actually became bad at something) if they threw only a few pins. Funny thing is, when Loid was first about to throw his ball, he said something like "Child's play" but then because it was me controlling him he only threw a couple pins and was like "This is hard" 😂 Poor Yor said "Was this good?" a few times right after throwing her ball, then Anya did a strike, and Yor and I as Loid did a spare (when you throw the remaining pins on your second go). For each of those, the other characters cheered for the one doing the strike or spare, and that was cute. Funniest responses was when a throw wouldn't get a single pin, Anya did her "Shock" face, Yor looked embarrassed, and Loid cringed back with a drop of cold sweat on his face (I was the reason for that, sorry man XD) Loid ended up winning and even though he had missed a couple of throws, at the end he was once again like "Child's play" like, my MAN, stop embarrassing yourself and me.
Anyway. Back to the story. There were some cute moments of banter, I feel they captured the characters pretty accurately!

Then I could go into character customization and. Some interesting choices there.

"Just going to work". Yes. That work XD
And then this... item.

MAXIMUM CHARISMA
I'm still laughing about it XD
Then it was ooting time, and I actually really loved the loading screens!

They have a cute feel to them :)
One of the few pictures I took for Anya's album. Whatever is happening on that Spy Wars issue Anya was reading, it must be interesting!

Anya later mentioned she'd sleep with Agent Penguinman that night, and Bond did not like that XD

When I FINALLY managed to hit the required score for Yor's fruit chopping minigame, Anya looked very smug about it 😁

As I mentioned, it took me a lot of times to get the gist of when exactly to swing to cut the vegetables, and every time Yor missed a vegetable she would say something... but there were no subtitles for those lines XD judging by a few lines I've picked up from the anime, I think she was just saying things like "I missed" or an exclamation of disappointment, and one single "I'm sorry, Anya-san". I wanted to hug her!
Then it was back to school the next day.

I'm right there with ya, girl XD
Then Anya asked Yor to train her, and Yor started giving her some advice on how to throw punches... and then Loid slipped in and was like uhm wut O_o

This next part was a little weird, because Anya was supposed to be drawing (like she did in Episode 3 in the museum kids room) and Loid was going like "Oh this is Bondman and a princess, right? That part is a little graphic, though" but... she wasn't drawing? Loid was just standing in the kitchen and I approached him to talk to him and they just said lines similar to the scene I mentioned above from episode 3. It didn't seem like it fit, and only added it so they could have Anya do that expression, which, okay, fair enough XD

This was Anya's expression when she realized Loid had completely misjudged what she was drawing and her powers weren't at risk of being exposed XD
A quick Handler cameo!

That was the intro for a minigame of Twilight sneaking into an art gallery and having to swap paintings for forgeries. I just found her appearance quite cool!
... This, however, was the minigame that proved this game doesn't work well with a keyboard. Controlling the character AND the camera with keyboard buttons is very tricky, and while I could manage moving Anya around, I had a lot of trouble moving Twilight around while I was on a timer and I had to avoid the guards seeing him.

So yeah. It could have been fun but for a computer user it can be frustrating. I tried twice and failed to complete the minigame, and at that point I was tired; it was more stressful than satisfying that way, so I just quit the game, uninstalled it and had it refunded.
Anyway, as I said, it looks like a fun game, but one that can only be appreciated through a console that already includes controllers with joysticks. Computer users shouldn't have to need external controllers to enjoy a game for the computer, so I definitely don't recommend buying it for the PC, if nothing else, for the moral of it. They could have optimized it to move the camera with the mouse, which is how the grand majority of such games work, but they half-assed it and as such I don't think they deserve anyone's money, especially at the price it's at (50 euros for us to need an external controller? no thanks).

ok, i never read manga or watched anime, but i see arlong park being mentioned in context of nami, so i wanted to know what was it about? do you mind spoiling me? 😂
as a new live action zinami shipper i just hope for any possible zonami crumbs in the future 😂😂
Oh boy, that is a BIG QUESTION. But I'll do my best to answer
Arlong Park is both an arc, a place, and an important moment in the sorta Meta of One Piece.
As an arc, is serves as very much the climax of the East Blue Saga. It has the biggest fights, the most elaborate backstory (so far), and is an event that leads to Luffy getting his first bounty.
For Nami, in particular, it is Her Arc. It is the one where her backstory, motivations, dreams, fears, and psyche are most explored. The long and sort is that the villain, Arlong, killed Nami's mother and enslaved Nami to make him maps. With the promise that if she gathered enough money, Nami could buy her and her village's freedom. For course, he's a filthy liar, and Luffy and the others need to help step to unleash some well-deserved beatdowns.
As a location, Arlong Park is where Arlong and his crew of fishmen (and Nami) live. It is a repurposed marine base and, as we learn much later, redesigned and renamed to look like the theme park that Arlong and his friends were unable to go to as children due to prejudice against fishmen. This all factors into the much large story about cycles of hatred that exist within the large story of OP that I don't have time to get into here.
But the important thing is that it serves as a great location for the final fights of the arc, giving three different environments to use and different ways to play to the different fighters' strengths. And, considering it served as Nami's prison for so many years, seeing it get destroyed is immensely cathartic.
Now, for the meta angle... When fans of OP are trying to get others into the series, we often say, "If you get to the end of Arlong Park and still don't like it, One Piece is probably not the series for you."
This is because Arlong Park is when the series really BECOMES One Piece. It's where all the elements of the story that make it great -the characters, the fights, the backstories, the worldbuilding- really come together in full force. That's not to say the previous arcs are bad, but rather that each did a few things very well while Arlong Park did EVERYTHING well.
Specifically, the famous 'Luffy... Help me' scene has become an iconic moment in anime in general. Many OP fans (myself included) cite it as the scene that made them fall in love with the series. When watching reaction videos and people reach that moment, I can sometimes even see some 'click' in their eyes. It's the moment they GET IT!
All these years later, and this moment still makes me tear up.
As for Nami & Zoro... This is definitely an important arc to their relationship.
Zoro has spent the previous arc being rather wary of Nami (and not without cause) but when Luffy orders Zoro to bring her back, he is determined to do it -even if it gets him captured. A fan-favorite moment occurs when a captive Zoro is brought before Arlong and Nami. Despite Nami herself and Arlong swearing that this cold-hearted person is Nami's True Self, Zoro decides to go with his gut and test her.
He throws himself into the water, still tied up, and banks on Nami to save him. And she does, even though it makes Arlong suspicious. Especially after Nami frees Zoro and gives him his swords back so he can escape.
(I'm really sad we don't get this moment in the live-action series)
This has Zoro convinced she's a good person in a bad situation, yet later, when it appears Nami has killed Usopp, Zoro is once again confused about her character. It's only when Usopp turns back up and explains what happens that Zoro fully throws his swords in Nami's corner. He even sleeps through her backstory because, by this point, he knows she is good.
Hope this all helps but honestly you should just go experience it yourself because I can't do the arc justice.

Guess whose financial mistake arrived early...

I will give more in depth looks later (I have to work to afford such questionable purchases), but a quick individual review of what I got:
Neil Demon Plushy

Not a plush toys collector at all; my closest reference is the IKEA shark. He is heavier than he looks, very sturdy (?) if that makes sense. Doesn't seem like he will deform any time soon. The details are adorable and I don't see any glaring defects.
All Saints Street Hoodie

Surprisingly large for me. I was worried they only had one size made for the Chinese market. I'm 1.7m (5 foot 7) tall for reference and this is still a bit too big for me. Will likely get too small for anyone over 6 feet tall. The quality is good! Very soft. Velvet interior. I don't know much about shirt stamping, but since it's not in the fabric I'm guessing the stamp might start to crack after multiple washes.
All Saints Street Vol. 1-3 Collection

Now this is something I can talk about more. The sleeve was unfortunately damaged in shipping and the books have very minor damage in the spine and vol 2 has a minor case of dog ears. The quality of the paper is great! It is color paper, not glossy one you see in comic book issues, but it's thicker than the black and white you see in manga. Would still make sure to have a dehumidifier if your storing place is not dry. I've already experienced book wrapping and it's painful.

Each volume contains around 80 chapters with one extra chapter not on bilibili. They also contain a message from Lingzi and WSJ's editor, plus all character bios even for ones we never got one (Enrique, Eduardo ans Anthony). And if a Weibo post is correct some might have been updated from the ones online (Axel grew 1 cm in the book bio).
Of course later I'll look over everything to see if there are any significan changes to make a note of. Also it came with this lol.

I have the Alice in Wonderland art somewhere, I'll post it later as well.
All Saints Street Anniversary Playing Cards

The playing card decks from the 6th and the 7th anniversary. As you can see I haven't opened the 7th, but I got the 6th a while ago on AliExpress so I expect them to be similar.
This is something else I can review more in depth, coming from a family that loves playing poker. The quality of the prints is beautiful, however I keep them in the box all the time because the quality of the cards itself is not good!
The cards feel like store bought cardboard; good playing cards are made out of cardboard, but this deck doesn't have the same treatment. They are so fragile, even by just handling them to get the face cards I've already made slight damage to the edges. I wouldn't play any game with them, much less shuffle them. I don't even want to imagine how much they will bend. Also the Crystal card came with damage (the small white spot on the edge) from the store. Pain.
Anyways. I'll frame the face cards because they are so pretty and I want to keep them in the best condition... I don't know what I will do with the rest of the 36 cards. Maybe practice magic tricks? Lol. Before all this I've been working on how to scan all the face cards and post them, but it's been more difficult than expected. If you have ever tried to digitize prints you will know. Once I have them, I'll post them alongside high quality scans.
When it comes to my review of PandaBuy... On one hand it was an excellent service and experience. On the other... I don't even want to reveal how much the shipping was. I wouldn't recommend anyone else do it unless you are stupid with your money (like me), even then
I would advice to do your own research. PandaBuy and all agents to buy from China are definitely better when you buy in bulk. My package was 'only' 2kg. Many people buy over 10kg to make it worth it. I'm already committed so if new volumes come out I will buy them, and maybe also get counterfeit Gucci shoes or something since that's what most people use this agents for...
That's all for now. Feel free to reply or send any questions you have.

Hey again! What if fujio, tsukasa, shoji, and sachio decide to take reader on her dream date for her birthday or something like that so they saved up and bought tickets to readers favorite kpop group or got tickets to a huge anime convention. Those are both my dream dates and I’ve been to both recently and it got me wondering like who would go all and learn the fan chants and the dances and who would wanna do cosplay or blow all their money on the artworks. and who would be the whole “here babe I’ll hold your bag you go have fun,” type. I’m sorry, this is like my third request I’m just on such an energy high today 😅😅😅
High & Low Boys x Reader’s dream date
a/n: Hi! It’s been a while, sorry 🙏🏻It was really a cute one and thank you for your request 😘 I hope you like it 🌸💕
Sorry for the grammer or spelling mistakes.English is not my main language so...
Thank you and love you 🥰
Warnings: none
Fujio
* I don't think there is anything Fujio wouldn't do to make his girlfriend happy.
* This includes learning kpop songs and dances he never knew.
* He probably wants to buy his girlfriend a special gift for her birthday, and he probably even found a part-time job to do it all summer.
* He knows that your favorite band will have a concert in a few months and he wants you to be happy.
* When your birthday comes, he will wave the 2 tickets in his hand with excitement and take you to the concert.
* He even got light sticks so you can wave them along
* And you might not expect him to sing along to every song… Just wait to see him dance.
Sachio
* He is that cool bitch
* So I don't know how far he can go
* But I'm sure he’ll buy those tickets when he see the excitement and happiness in your eyes when you hear the news about the concert.
* He won't hesitate to come to the concert with you
* At first he’s like "Here babe I'll hold your bag you go have fun" but then you can see him waving the light stick with you
* The smile on your face is more important to him than anything else
Tsukasa
* I don't think he's a like anime/manga fan
* Of course, he has been familiar with them all since his childhood, but not a big fan
* Dude literally lives an anime…
* He realizes how much his girlfriend loves animes and wants to make her happy
* When he heard that there was going to be an anime show at a night cinema in your city, he bought the tickets for you without even thinking.
* Definitely will be a surprise
* He is very happy to see the sparkle in your eyes when you get there and see your favorite anime on the big screen.
Shoji
* Totally gives me the anime fan vibe
* Especially shounen anime…
* Watching anime with you is not enough, he wants to make you happier
* So you definitely didn't expect to see him dressed as your favorite character in front of your house one day
* He will tell you to get ready with a small smile and he is excited for you to see the surprise he has made for you.
* He bought tickets to a cosplay event for you and he loves it when you look at the people around with excitement.
* But he must be your favorite, he definitely does not accept anyone else in this regard...

Wanna see the business side of story-based games?
Me! I want to! 👋 Hi, I'm Amaiguri. I'm a full time gamedev and I've released two games before and correctly predicted how much money I would make each time! Wow!
I've been considering converting the webfic I write into a story game of some kind -- a visual novel or a RPGmaker game or maybe even a walking sim? But I didn't know what I wanted to make!
This story has been THE STORY of my early adult life here -- it is SO important to me. So, while I'm a huge advocate of making whatever you want, I wanted to ensure whatever I put my effort into would be VAGUELY marketable. (Because, lemme tell you, webnovels are not marketable XD)
Before I dive in too deeply, **BIG DISCLAIMER**:
I am not a business person. I am using big, wide guestimates to make non-essential business decisions with myself. BUT I want to share my learnings with you. So, take everything I say with a grain of salt and JOIN ME on this journey:
Earlier this month, I made a post about wanting to make a visual novel. Specifically, a kinetic visual novel where you don't make choices and you just read basically. SO I've now done research into how well they sold. I used THIS website to determine how much money each of these games made (VERY loosely):
Juniper's Knot: ~$4k USD
Higurashi (The Whole Series): ~$300k USD (Averaging like 400 reviews per game and $50 for the whole bundle)
House in Fata Morgana: ~$1 million USD
I picked these out mostly because these are the small handful of kinetic novels I have actually heard about. I'm not saying there aren't other, more successful ones I haven't heard about but I figure, if I'm supposed to be representative of my target audience, I'm as good of a sample as any for this wild estimation.
Besides, Higurashi has a whole anime -- it is definitely fair to use that as an upper end -- and Juniper's Knot -- a tiny game no one has heard of -- as the lower end. (I mean, $0 is the lower end, but... you know...)
This paints a pretty stark picture, honestly. Like, this is looking at 6 to 8 years of work for... maybe a couple thousand for me? Realistically? Maybe up to $300k if I'm super lucky and go viral? And I'm not saying that isn't LIFE CHANGING money but like in the MOST MIRACULOUS scenario here, I am compensated less than my current salary for my current magnum opus. But realistically, I'm looking at maybe $1-4k if I get lucky. I'm not a horror-writer and I'm not a romance writer -- I will not have THAT feral of a fanbase XD And on top of all of that, I don't even play that many kinetic visual novels. I'm barely in my own target demo here!
Now, compare that to the numbers I ran on RPGmaker games where you just do narrative and there is very minimal gameplay:
Rakuen: 4000+ Reviews, over $100k in profits estimated
To the Moon: $8 Million in profit
A Bird Story: Definitely sold worse than To the Moon, was cheaper to make and cheaper to buy -- estimated at $397k
Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea: Dunno cuz it's free BUT its manga adaptation has 267 reviews on Amazon -- so the creator COULD have made bank on the actual game
See how much higher those are? Even when they're not as well known? And sure, the bottom is still $0 ultimately but the upper limit, with the most successful of these titles (and incidentally, the video game that convinced me to get into Game Design) is much much higher.
"BUT BELLE! Laura Shigihara did the music on a lot of those! You don't have Laura Shigihara!"
Ok BET! I'll hire her! The base industry rate for music per minute is $100/min. Let's suppose now she charge 10x that, cuz she's famous -- $1k/minute of music. I get her to compose a 3 minute song for $3k BUT she also brings over... say... 5% of her audience to check out my game.
That's admittedly, a high conversion rate so we'll just take 5% of Rakuen. Now, I'm imagining I'd charge like $25/copy of my game because it's gonna be like 300k words -- people pay $25 for a book of that length, so if I have art and programming also, I can do that. With just her 5% of Rakuen reviewers (21 reviewers of her 4.3k), that's like $7k USD. So, she'd probably just pay for herself and then some.
And to top all this off: I'm back in the target demo. I am ABSOLUTELY the kind of person who will play a solodev's RPGmaker game and forgive all jank and flaws and lack of gameplay if the story, art, and music are good.
That is, of course, making the assumption that I'll make good music and art 🥺🥺🥺
Now obviously, all this is WILD guestimates so like. You shouldn't make business decisions off this. I'm barely making "business" decisions -- I'm making hobby decisions. I have a full time job and I intend to keep it. BUT I think it's pretty clear where the potential money might be for me -- RPGmaker games.
Eris (Blinking): Thank you for reading!

Makinata Mondays: A Hakumei & Mikochi read-along
This is a weekly series where i read through my favorite manga and share my thoughts along with some screenshots.
Chapter 8: Warm Hearth and Gambling
Plot Summary: Hakumei and Mikochi are far from home, with the weather getting more snowy and colder by the minute. As a last resort, they decide to try their luck at a nearby inn that Hakumei frequents. The situation gets slightly tense, as Hakumei still has to pay off her gambling debts from her last visit.

I was honestly surprised that this chapter is in volume 1 of the manga! From my memory of reading Hakumei & Mikochi a while ago, i thought it would be way deeper into the series, like chapter 30 or so.
Maybe the anime confused me a little bit, since they reorder the chapters and a bunch of volume 2 stories come ahead of this one.

The snow is a really nice change of pace from the usual weather and i love how it's drawn. So much of the page/frame is almost blindingly white now, while the nighttime sky still gives that strong contrast. One of my favorite things in this manga is the strong sense of contrast that makes every image pop.

We also meet the Dondoya sisters! Together they run the inn "Dondoya - Dengaku & Robatayaki".
Mimari is definitely the friendlier one, with a calm, cheerful personality.
Shinato, on the other hand, has a few rough edges. She drinks a lot, holds grudges and in this chapter, has it out for Hakumei for allegedly still owing her money from their last game.

Most of this chapter is dedicated to the high stakes game Hakumei sets up to erase her debts from the previous game and secure lodging for the night; with Mikochi and Mimari just along for the ride.

To be completely honest, i kind of lose the plot as soon as someone explains rules or plans, so i never really got into gambling manga/anime. (sorry Kakeguri fans, sorry D'Arby)
I'm mainly here for the character interactions and the art.

But even if I'm a bit loopy when it comes to the rules, the way it's rendered and paced still makes me excited for the twists and turns to come.
This concludes volume 1 of the manga! Thank you for following me along so far; i hope i could motivate you to read the manga or even buy a copy somewhere (much appreciated).
Next week I'll tackle volume 2. I recently purchased an actual physical copy of the manga (bc i adore it so much) and I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts on the next volume.
I'm also going to post a compilation of the chapter art from volume 1 soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. I didn't want to include the chapter art in my read-along bc it felt lazy to me, since all of these should be appreciated on their own. Let me know if the compilation post is fun, otherwise i can also post them one by one. I've seen both methods used for dungeon meshi chapter art (shoutout to dungeonmeshititlepages ) and both have their pros and cons.
Love y'all!

Annon-Guy: Have you ever watched Edward Scissorhands?
And have you read the IDW Sonic Comics?
I have seen Edward Scissorhands, but not recently. I would fail a pop quiz, but I know the general premise and plot. As for the IDW Sonic Comics, I am aware of them, and the Metal Virus Saga was a big enough thing that I have a few reviews and summaries of it in my Watch Later on Youtube because everyone was talking about it. But no, I've never actually read any of the Sonic Comics. The closest I've gotten to reading them independently was reading some of the pages from that notorious comic by Ken Penders where Sonic wasn't allowed to be properly devastated that his children got erased from existence, same comic that is also notorious for being the jumping off point for Ken Penders' Lara Su Chronicles comic that took a bajillion years and a giant middle finger to Sega to get published. And I only read the pages that were shown in a devastating roast of Ken's material in a sort of "this is why you need to 'Kill Your Darlings'" type post on Tumblr because, like, on the one hand I 100% understand the appeal of exploring what domestic life is like for the cast once they're able to actually grow up and have lives. But when the overarching plot is badly explained timey wimey nonsense that comes out of nowhere, isn't allowed to have a proper emotional impact anywhere that it should, and gets resolved in a handful of too-short and yet way-too-long issues, yeah. A story like that isn't going to do any of its elements well.
I've heard good things about the Sonic comics, and even the ones Ken Penders got his mitts on have some good in them. You can tell the Echidnas were Ken's Special Little Guys, and honestly, as a Knuckles fan, I 100% understand. I've just never actually had the time to dedicate to reading them. Hence why video summaries are my current go-to for whenever I do have the time. It's amazing but a bit bittersweet that there's so much art out there and so many stories, but I'll probably never get to all of the stuff I want to get to. There's just too much cool stuff for one human being to experience. Homestuck was a massive thing, and I have quite a few friends who were into all of it. And I tried picking it up once. But it's such a massive undertaking that I might just have to settle for a synopsis if the interest ever hits me again. Hell, One Piece is a massive big deal now, with the Live Action version on Netflix roping a lot of first time viewers in, and I think the main appeal is how much it truncates. You definitely miss out on the finer details and elements of story-telling with the live action version, but for a manga with chapters and episodes in the THOUSANDS, I 100% understand why the Live Action series or even the movie arcs are a much more appealing way to get into the behemoth of One Piece than reading or watching the whole thing. I was into One Piece back before it was "cool" here in the states and even I'm so massively behind on One Piece because it started becoming more important to save up and not spend money buying the physical manga, so I stopped reading, and the availability of the anime was locked behind crunchyroll or funimation's own service for a long time, so it became harder to watch too. Because back when I was watching it, it was a 4Kids Dub that was free on over the air broadcast. So I'm only able to catch up on anything now because it became such a massive success that it's easy to get to the stuff I need now.
That said, the Sonic Comic dub you sent my way with the Halloween story was cute. A little simplistic story-wise, but, hey, there's only so complex you can get with a Halloween Story. Especially in a comic that targets all ages. So if you're asking because you want to hit me up with some stuff, I can try to keep up. No promises. But I'd be willing to take a look at a few of the good IDW Sonic Comics if you've got some to recommend.

So today, I did get quite a bit of writing done at work! I finished one of the ask prompts, so I'll be editing that when I'm awake later this week and posting that! If I can finish the other two I started - that includes the Ferdinand/"Please" smut one I started at work lmao - then those will also go up! I swear I haven't forgotten any of them. I think three of them might not be short... I'll see. One of them is definitely going to be lengthy, so please be paitient with me. :') I probably won't get another chapter of Seasons up tonight either. (I know I made a comment on AO3 that I'd try, but... not likely happening.) I'm extremely sleep-deprived from my night owl self resisting sleeping at night when I have to be at work during the day. So I'll probably edit and post that later. I made so many changes and want to make sure I get everything correct. It's gonna be a bit of an exciting week, but I'm hoping I get back into reading. It has been hard to read since spring started, and I was kind of slow through winter. I'm going to the library this week too, bc I wanna see what manga they have available. I'm mostly reading books rather than any fics lately, I just don't have fandoms and I'm being picky anyway. I also wish I had money to buy some manga and books, I really hate how easily manga and such can go out of print and fear it'll happen with some of the ones I badly want to finish collecting or start collecting... Plus I really want to get back to supporting a lot of the indie authors I enjoy.

Migi & Dali Episode 7 Retrospective Reaction
Hello again! As part of commemorating the one-year anniversary of the anime, I'm doing a rewatch and providing my (unorganized) thoughts and reactions.
This time, I'm doing Episode 7! As always, I'll be keeping timestamps in case you want to watch along while reading, and be prepared for another long post below of unorganized thoughts, and of course spoilers...
[00:00] First, the twins sit in the tent and discuss their plans some time after their stay in the Ichijo house. This scene was not in the manga, but I think it's helpful for the viewers.
To me, one of the biggest questions of the story is: Why did Dali decide to remove Migi from the investigation of Eiji? Obviously, the twins work better as a team, so there must be a reason Dali decided to work alone. My theory is that Dali now saw the mission as too dangerous for Migi. Because Migi is not as smart and is very sensitive when it comes to Metry, Dali likely thinks that involving Migi carries a significant risk. This fear is warranted, as Migi has gotten hurt several times physically and emotionally throughout the story. As a result, Dali takes on the mission by himself, believing that it's for Migi's sake. To me, this idea is especially clear when Dali says, "Wait for me, Migi" (「ミギ、待っていろ」) as he clutches the dolphin pendant.
Meanwhile, Migi is clearly unhappy about being sidelined, though he's unaware of Dali's intentions. Although much of the work has been difficult, Migi always puts in 120% effort because he has always viewed himself and Dali as one. Thus, he's uncomfortable with Dali apparently pushing him away.
This is also the first time that Dali's theme (少年・ダリ) plays, signaling that the show is about to head in a darker direction as the twins nearly arrive at the truth of their mother's death. It plays several times throughout this episode, which makes sense since Migi has basically been sidelined from the story in this episode.
============================================
[02:36] Next, Eiji has lunch at school. Note that in the manga, the students have different uniforms to reflect the change in seasons.
It's funny how the girls pretend to be uninterested in hearing about Eiji's type only after Eiji chastises the boys.
I feel sorry for Eiji, vomiting in the toilet without knowing why. The way he tries to compose himself is similar to Dali in Episode 8. I'll talk about it again next time.
I really like how Murase-san delivers the line "Stinky stew". Also, it's amazing how great Dali is at acting like a bad girl.
It's funny how Eiji goes back to the toilet to flush before running after Dali.
Imagine what would happen if Eiji had actually pulled off Dali's wig. Ironically, I think that the story would have ended less violently.
You can tell how panicked Eiji is as he immediately offers hush money. Sure, Eiji can deny any allegation about vomiting in the toilet and most people would probably side with him, but there's definitely a risk of tarnishing Eiji and his family's reputation. Eiji cannot is happen, so he's willing to do anything to buy Sally's silence.
Seriously, where did Dali learn these moves? Books?
============================================
[04:54] Next, Eiji shows Sally his childhood photos. Note that in Chapter 26 of the manga, this scene takes place in the library (Migi and Sally's "paradise"), where there was a close encounter with Migi and Akiyama.
It's quite amusing seeing the smart boy Eiji getting manipulated easily by Dali. When Eiji says "I'm not an animal", it reminds me of Migi's sassiness. Dali has so much experience being a big brother that this kind of teasing is as natural as breathing to him. (But Eiji is actually his brother…)
Eiji must be wondering why this mysterious girl is so interested in his past…
Dali's line about Santa is so sad. You can tell how disturbed Dali was by that question as his real voice partially slips out. After all, Eiji, the prime murder suspect, lived a perfect life in Origon Village without any apparent hardships, unlike the twins. It's no wonder that Eiji's question would anger Dali!
It's interesting how Eiji was being fussy and thought "It's not fair" as he couldn't get any information about Sally. Did he think that he was behaving a bit too childishly? Perhaps he finds it strange that he's so curious about this mysterious girl.
============================================
[06:54] Next, Eiji looks for Sally.
It's interesting that he never mentioned the color of Sally's eyes…
It's funny seeing all the girls fight for Eiji's attention.
Unfortunately, much of Chapter 26 was skipped, so we don't really get to see WHY Eiji fell in love with Sally, which I think is pretty important. Of course, Sally has good looks, but more importantly, the way that Sally approached Eiji was crucial. To Eiji, Sally is a formidable girl who could ruin his reputation, but also for some reason took an interest in him and his childhood. Unlike all the other girls at school, Sally is not in love with him, but rather seems to have contempt for him. Furthermore, Sally is independent, possesses a strong will, and seems to have suffered a tough past. Sally seems to be the only "real" person to Eiji, which might explain why he's drawn to her. Also, the fact that Sally knows his secret might bring him closer to her. In the manga, Eiji sees Sally's genuine smile, a stark contrast to Sally's usual cold image, seemed to be the moment that Eiji knew he was in love.
I think that in some ways, Sally reminds Eiji of Reiko. Since he wanted to become a psychologist to help Reiko, I think that perhaps he wanted to help Sally, who seems to be distressed deep down. And of course, with Sally's good looks and smile, that ensured that Eiji fell in love.
============================================
[07:09] Next, Migi is sulking in the classroom.
Migi is no longer in the mood to commit to the act of being Hitori-kun.
In the anime, this is the first and only time we get to see the twins' teacher!
I like how Akiyama gives Migi a piggyback ride with no hesitation, even with other students staring at them!
Migi's sulking is reminiscent of Episode 3, which shows that he does not like being pushed away aby Dali. He firmly believes that he and Dali are supposed to do everything together. Of course, he's unaware of Dali's intentions.
============================================
[07:41] Next, Migi tells Dali that Sally has returned.
I wish the anime adapted the full scene from the manga, where Dali is frantically looking for the pendant he dropped, and Migi leaps at Dali for a hug. I wish someone could draw that in the anime style…
It's so sweet how the first thing Migi does when he gets home is to hug his precious older brother.
It's interesting how Migi isn't suspicious of Dali's obvious lie, which shows how Migi has absolute faith in Dali's word.
Now that I think about it, the twins' hug is pretty symbolic of the events in this episode. Migi just wants to be together with Dali, though Dali pushes him away and lies to him (albeit with good intentions).
============================================
[08:16] Next, Detective Migi searches for Sally.
Once again, Migi is using his real voice in front of Akiyama. Perhaps this shows how Migi already trusts him!
Still, it's pretty cold to just tell Akiyama to go away.
Don't laugh at your brother's drawing skills, Dali!
What is that string telephone for?
It's cute seeing Migi getting pouty at Akiyama.
I will never understand how Migi draws things… I'm indeed a "commoner"
It's pretty interesting that Migi's drawing of himself looks like Dali. It's probably because he looks into a mirror while drawing himself. Maybe this shows how he tries to see himself and Dali as the same.
Akiyama is very talented at drawing! He's probably better suited to being an artist than Migi
Migi, don't kiss the picture! That's your brother!
It's wholesome how Akiyama is happy to be given such a lukewarm compliment.
============================================
[10:12] Next, Migi confronts Eiji and Sally in the classroom.
It's nice how Migi is considerate towards Akiyama.
By this point, Eiji has already fallen for Sally. He blushes, and doesn't hesitate to answer Sally's question about his past.
Given what Eiji is going through, it seems understandable that he considers his infatuation with Sally (i.e. "sweetness") to be "unnecessary feelings". Nonetheless, it is this warmth and sweetness that provides him relief from all the stress in his life.
Dali almost called out Migi's name with his real voice… I suppose that's what he gets for laughing at Migi's art!
Migi probably has the idea that Eiji will kidnap her and force her to do "education from scratch", so it makes sense that he calls Eiji "dangerous".
Just like in Episode 5, Migi now uses his real voice to talk to Eiji, which is so much different from his sweet voice when talking to Sally.
Once again, Dali is faced with a tough decision, and you can really see the panic on his face. In the end, he picks the choice that he thinks will hurt Migi in the short term but will benefit him in the long run. Of course, it brings Dali no pleasure to break poor Migi's heart…
Also, Eiji's surprised reaction is adorable.
============================================
[11:46] Next, Dali goes to Eiji's house while dressed as Sally.
In the manga, the Ichijos are shown leaving for a concert which includes Eiji's favorite symphony. In my opinion, it's not a very important scene, but it shows how much Eiji likes Sally given how he's willing to lie to Reiko.
It's funny how Eiji wants to make sure his room is perfect for when his crush arrives.
I bet Dali was thrilled to hear that Reiko wasn't home.
Once again, Dali says "Wait for me, Migi" (「ミギ、待っていろ」) as Dali's theme plays.
Dali's voice sounds so soothing while he's doing hypnosis.
============================================
[12:53] Next, poor Migi cries at home.
I wonder if Migi knows where Dali is. He might know that Dali is busy investigating Eiji. Otherwise, he might be worried why Dali isn't comforting him in his time of need.
But then again, wouldn't Migi find the timing (Sally's date with Eiji) a bit suspicious? Well, he's probably in no mood to think.
Anyway, the Sonoyamas comfort Migi in Dali's place.
It's funny how both Osamu and Migi recoil when Youko has a bottle of alcohol.
I'm not sure if I agree with Youko's advice. Anyway, cheers!
============================================
[13:32] Next, Dali attempts to get Eiji onto the bed, which is undoubtedly the funniest scene in the episode and perhaps the whole story.
It's funny how Eiji seems to be oblivious of Sally's rather obvious advances.
What is a "guardian of time"?
Dali's right, how can anyone sleep with a bunch of creepy dolls? The analogy to cults is rather interesting. Also, what happened to Nezu?
Seriously, where did Dali learn these moves?? I have a good feeling that he's been reading too many books, including those that are meant for adults. He also seems to have also practiced those techniques a lot! It's possible that Dali might have a bit of a perverse side to him…
I will never forget the image of Dali caressing Youko's huge bra! This seemingly dirty act definitely tainted Eiji's image of Sally.
Where did Eiji learn about romance and the word "baiser"? I think that Eiji might have read certain books as well… Dali and Eiji really are brothers!
Dali's reaction to learning what "baiser" means is hilarious, as well as his resistance to kiss Eiji.
Eiji's moaning while leaning in makes this scene even funnier and weirder.
And finally, the kiss between brothers! It's clear that for Migi's sake, Dali will do anything, even it means kissing the enemy he wants to kill. I suppose this can be considered a "kiss of death"…
Poor Eiji, if only he knew who he gave his first baiser to…
And once again, Dali says "Wait for me, Migi" (「ミギ、待っていろ」)
============================================
[16:28] Next, Migi is still crying while Youko is passed out and snoring.
It's clear that Youko's advice didn't cure Migi's heartbreak.
Poor Migi, he's crying really hard… he really needs Dali's comfort.
Osamu offers great advice, but perhaps at the wrong time.
============================================
[16:56] Next, Dali successfully hypnotizes Eiji before getting a surprise visit from Migi.
It's funny how easily Dali can lie about a fake lullaby. It would be terrifying if hypnosis worked like this in real life…
I'm impressed that Eiji knows about "molars" at the age of five.
It's interesting how Migi doesn't try to go inside the house but chooses to climb to Eiji's window. I wonder what he's thinking when he sees Sally next to a sleeping Eiji. Probably not much.
Migi's such a sweet, innocent boy. Through the precious dolphin pendant, Migi's feelings have clearly gotten through to Dali, which can be seen with Dali's face and his breathing.
It's funny how Migi's tone immediately changes when talking to Eiji.
Once again, the twins were very close to a "game over" if Dali hadn't caught Migi after Eiji pushed him. If something happened to Migi, Dali would lose his mind, and the story would end very unhappily…
Overcome with panic over Migi's safety, Dali's protective instincts take over as his real voice comes out.
Ah, I feel so bad for Migi. His world must have collapsed after finding out that Sally was Dali. Not knowing what to do, his instinct is to bite Dali and run away. It's kind of like what a dog might do…
Also, Migi's teeth seem to be crooked.
Although Dali's plan ended up causing a rift between him and Migi, you have to admit that it was very successful in awakening Eiji's memories.
============================================
[19:36] Next is Eiji's flashback.
It seems that Reiko did not tell Eiji what Santa is supposed to look like.
Poor Metry. I'm sure she had good intentions, but her judgment was terrible…
Reiko sure is a terrible woman for lying to Eiji about Metry. Because she told him that Metry was a ghost, Eiji thinks that he had a close encounter with an otherworldly being, which I'm sure gave him much trauma as well as his bedwetting problems.
Since Eiji has only just remembered this memory, it's very likely that Reiko might have suppressed his memories, perhaps using "education from scratch". After all, Akira was never aware of Eiji's bedwetting. This family really is scary…
============================================
[21:07] Next, Dali runs home after learning Eiji's memories.
It's interesting that Dali is eager to tell Migi his discoveries, and doesn't seem to realize that Migi finally saw through his ruse. I suppose Dali is too focused on his mission. He even changes his clothes in lightning speed!
I wonder, did Dali ever think about WHY Metry was at Eiji's window? Without any other information, it would seem strange to anyone that this woman would leave her children unattended to climb onto the second floor window of the Ichijos' house. Of course, we the viewers know the exact reason, but Dali doesn't. He would have no other choice but to speculate, and considering that he likely assumes that Metry was Akira' mistress, he might not have a positive image of her.
But this doesn't matter now, as Dali is gradually being consumed by thoughts of revenge against Eiji.
============================================
[23:04] Finally, in the post-credit scene Migi coldly exposes Dali's lie.
It's interesting that this scene takes place during twilight. I wonder if this is a reference to the opening song…
I'm impressed that Migi seemed to have outsmarted Dali with the bite on his hand. For some reason, I'd like to see more of Migi's cold gaze and hear more of his resentful voice…
It must have taken a while for Eiji to reveal his memory to Dali, which means that Migi must have been sitting by the window and stewing in negative emotions for a long time.
Unlike being heartbroken by Sally, being deceived by Dali hurt Migi much more. After all, for a long time Migi admired Dali, trusted him, and relied on him for emotional support. To be deceived by someone you perceived as your "other half" feels like a complete betrayal, as if taking a knife to the heart! (← interesting choice of metaphor)
Migi has always obeyed Dali since he truly believed that Dali was acting in his best interest, but now that faith has been broken. In this moment, Migi might be thinking that Dali never really cared about him and was instead using him like a tool. It wouldn't be surprised if Migi thought this way since the twins lived their lives in Origon Village by deceiving others. This can be seen by how Migi addresses Dali using "omae" for the first time in the story.
Now, the twins' special bond is broken, as symbolized by the dolphin pendant…
============================================
[Conclusion] In Episode 7, Dali confirmed that Eiji really did kill Metry, though at this point, there is still a lot of missing information, especially the reason why Metry returned to the Ichijo house.
Furthermore, the deep-rooted problems in the twins' relationship that were foreshadowed in earlier parts of the story finally rose to the surface, culminating in the collapse of the twins' bond.
Despite the fact that Migi and Dali were together their whole lives, there was ironically a communication barrier between them. Dali wants to protect Migi at all costs, even if it means deceiving Migi, while Migi wants to do his best to make Dali happy, even it means complying with Dali's seemingly unreasonable orders. The twins love each other, but they don't truly know what the other is thinking deep down. As a result of Dali's decisions, Migi felt hurt and betrayed, causing him to lose faith in his older brother whom he once relied on.
Indeed, the twins believed they understood each other, but they were sadly mistaken.
This episode also explored the triplets' personalities as described earlier, especially Dali's. You can really tell that Episode 7 is Dali's episode, since his soundtrack (少年・ダリ) plays multiple times throughout the episode, and the words "Wait for me, Migi" (「ミギ、待っていろ」) resonate in my mind. Although Dali is willing to resort to any means to obtain revenge, you can really tell that Migi is at the center of Dali's mind. After all, he's willing to kiss his enemy if it's for Migi's sake!
Finally, Migi and Eiji's interactions with Sally reveal some similarities between them (they're brothers after all!). For example, Sally served as a distraction from their problems, with Migi pouting after being sidelined in the investigation, and with Eiji suffering from his repressed trauma. Furthermore, I think that Sally also reminds them of their mothers, as Sally has Metry's blue eyes, and also carries a hidden suffering like Reiko. This makes sense since it is commonly said that boys fall in love with girls that remind them of their mother.
That's all I had for now, and I hope to do this again soon for Episode 8~

yeah the vibe is different </3 it now feels less like a personal chat and more like a personal chat in a public space but what else can we do when tumblr keeps being homophobic TT-TT
yeah I hope so too!! I'll bring it up to her soon as we still have Sci-fi cons which we regularly attend bcs I think that'd be cool!
and aaaw that sounds adorable!! The Sci-Fi cons that I visit always have lots of kids that age running around with their plastik lightsabers and usually clone wars masks of Anakin and Obi Wan and it's the cutest thing to watch them run around and play out their ideas
yeah she probably won't ksjdlsk it's just that we're both so used of someone bitching at us for buying even the most necessary shit so we gotta get used to that no longer happening slkjdlsk I'll probably bring it up to her soon, maybe tomorrow after uni! Hell I can even pay for it myself, I still have a lot of unused money from the past few cons since I barely bought smth aside from postcards / small prints
ksjdslk you're going to have the sickest bookshelf if that works out! and I hope it does skdjsl But yeah that sounds like a solid idea as to where to put them!!
ooh I think with the shows coming out there should definitely be a spike on tutorials for them!! Though I highly doubt there weren't some to begin with with Star Wars being such a huge franchise!! (and yeah I think that could probably be a solid start!!)
Yeah that's also always what I have noticed (it's probably also one of the most comfortable options ngl skldjsk) I think attaching them is going to be the most tricky part but I bet there are tricks to do so very easily!
yeah it feels way more out in the open, like speaking into a microphone instead of like just a casual conversation sat at a table in the corner of the room.. we could switch to discord or insta dms if we want it less open but idk, feels weird when its not on tumblr
ooo that sounds like fun! i need to try going to a sci-fi con, i know they have some in edinburgh occasionally throughout the year so il see if i can maybe go there eventually
it was!! it was so fucking fun, i remember around that age me and my sister would have lightsaber duels occasionally, too bad the sabers were bad quality so i accidently broke mine when i hit it too hard </3 thankfully it was after halloween so i still had the saber for halloween, just imagine like an 8 or 9 year old with a darth vader mask and red lightsaber walking down a dimly lit street dsjdsslkdj
i remember when i went trick or treating later that day i used my vader helmet (well its more like a mask tbh, its only the front half of vaders helmet lol) as a bucket to keep my sweets and candy in dlskjdslkjds
thats fair i cant rlly blame you or her, it will probably take a long time to get over that (i know the feeling cause my mother is like that sometimes, its so fucking annoying. she does it less to me now cause i have my own money but still)
i hope it goes well when you talk to her about it!! i doubt she wont let you buy it but wishing it goes well anyways!! if you dont do it tomorrow tho do keep in mind the sale is i think only lasting 1 more week? (or until everything sells out) so dont leave it too long slksjdlskd
IK ITS GONNA BE SO COOL, id say my bookshelf is already pretty cool because ive got 2 shelfs of books (one is mostly manga and star wars books, other is recipe books and other misc books) i could put them in 1 shelf but ive done it that way so theres space on the shelf next to the books, so i can put the helmets next to the books!! thinking about it now i can prob get 2 on the bookshelf and then the other 2 could go ontop of it maybe, idk il figure that out when i get them dsjlkds
Edit: heres a pic of said book shelf, forgot to mention the (fake) plant that hangs infront of my manga!!! skdjd Ignore the basket on the second shelf of books btw thats just where i keep my socks rn lmao (and random clothes in the shelf below too sldjslskssjk, im working on it so ignore that)
Anyways i could totally fit a helmet or 2 in here, one where the origami book is and one where the basket is, then the rest can go ontop of the bookcase idk lol

oh yeah its def gonna be trending, i saw one for storm trooper armour a few months ago, not mandalorian but tbh they are close (i mean storm trooper armour was based on the clones armour which was based on mandalorian so it is connected lmao) even if there isnt im pretty sure i could probably figure it out on my own if i had to
i think the way il have to attach it is maybe velcro? cause pins could fall out and if i try to put it back on it will be in a slightly different area probably, so what im thinking is having small velcro patches put onto the body suit and some on the armour pieces!! probably wont work out how it is in my head when i finally do it but i can atleast have ideas until then lol
