DPxDC Danny the Guy Who Won't Die
He lives in Gotham, and he is just A Guy. Nothing weird about him, he's just there to study/work/help Lady Gotham to lift her curse/on vacation with Sam. Point is, he is not there to cause trouble and there's no GIW on his tail. Just a dude living his (after)life.
And Gotham, being Gotham, still finds a way to be annoying. There are mugging attempts, robbery, Rogues running around. Only Danny really doesn't want to deal with any of it.
Now there's a dilemma. If he uses his powers to fight, it will sooner or later come to Bats' attention. And if he fights as a human, it will also alert some of the Bats since he doesn't really do a great job at keeping his power levels low. Not to mention the fact he is really not enthusiastic about accidentally punching someone hard enough he sends them to a hospital.
What does he do instead? He pulls the 'I guess I'll die' act.
So every time he is attacked, he just plays dead. The mugger shot him in the chest? He falls down and stops breathing. Caught up in the middle of a Poison Ivy attack? Skewers himself on the vine and goes lax. Scarecrow's Fear Gas? Very dramatically chokes himself and plays a corpse. He makes sure to disappear before any ambulances arrive later, and it all goes well for a few months - he is just a casualty, who cares, really - until one day, he runs into that same mugger who shot him in the chest a while ago.
The man does a double take. Danny doesn't notice - he's been mugged so many times, who has the brain capacity to remember all of those fuckers. But the rumor goes out anyway.
A guy-who-won't-die. It's more of a city legend, really, and the Bats don't give it much thought since, well, it sounds stupid and not very important. A rumor of some man who was shot dead and then showed up like nothing happened? Yeah, it's probably because the mugger didn't check if he was actually dead. That happens. Maybe it wasn't even the same man, Gotham is a big city. If anything, hey, at least that was one less casualty? That's a good thing.
That is, until one day, they show up to Joker's hostage situation and witness the clown screaming at one of the hostages. He is so enraged he is shaking, spit flying out of his mouth, and, contrary to the usual Joker's evil sneers and maniacal laughter, he seems just... furious. But, like, the normal-human-level furious. The 'I just lost the last ounce of patience with you' furious.
"Don't you look away from me, you think I don't remember you?! Na-ah, I do. You were the one I drowned in the shark tank last week! And you were the one run through the chainsaw trap two weeks before that! And you were in the guillotine!!! I saw your fucking head get deattached from your body, how the fuck are you here again?!"
And the guy he is screaming at just looks at him, confused and incomprehensive.
"Um, I'm pretty sure I'd remember getting my head cut off, you know? So, err, wrong guy."
"Wrong guy my fucking ass-"
Joker is so distracted by his screaming match that it makes it almost too easy for the Bats to fight him down and drag to Arkham. Yet, a few of them get just a bit suspicious.
Now, imagine all the shenanigans when they try keeping a watch on Danny the Won't Die Guy.

10 February 2024
After 12 days with no updates, the PRCS announced the deaths of 6 y/o Hind Rajab and the ambulance team who volunteered to go save her. Despite the PRCS working with the IOF to coordinate safe passage for the ambulance, the ambulance was found destroyed by IOF bombs, with both volunteer crew members Yusuf Zeino and Ahmed Al-Madhoun murdered inside. Hind was murdered inside the car, where she had been trapped for hours with the bodies of her family members.
Hind’s 15 y/o cousin Layan Hamadeh had called PRCS emergency services after the car in which she and her family, including her younger cousin Hind, came under heavy gunfire by the IOF. Layan was shot to death while on the phone with PRCS emergency dispatchers, a fact which is documented via recordings of the phone call. Hind then took the phone and begged the dispatchers to send help to take her away, as the IOF was still showering the car with bullets. Ambulance crew members Yusuf Zeino and Ahmed Al-Madhoun volunteered to go rescue Hind. Dispatchers soon last contact with the child. They then lost contact with Yusef and Ahmed when the ambulance arrived near the location of the vehicle by Fares petrol station in Tal Al-Hawa.
This point cannot be emphasized enough: the PRCS worked with the IOF, getting their agreement not to attack the ambulance as it arrived at the scene. The IOF agreed, and then knowingly bombed the ambulance anyway, while also knowingly killing 6 y/o Hind inside her family’s car. They knew there was a 6 y/o child inside that car, and kept firing until they murdered her. They knew the entire time what they were doing, and lied about cooperating with emergency services in order to maximize the number of lives they could take.
The depravity and impunity of the occupation is truly boundless. Hind’s final hours were spent in absolute terror, and Yusuf and Ahmed’s courage and selflessness were rewarded with their murders. The PRCS did everything right. They coordinated with the IOF and sought their permission for the ambulance to pass, something which was already required under international law. The IOF abused this attempt at cooperation by lying about their compliance, then deliberately murdering Hind, Yusuf, and Ahmed, in addition to Layan and her entire family.
We write this update in tears, having hoped and prayed for a different outcome like everyone else. This round of aggression by the IOF has already seen unimaginable cruelty, suffering, and impunity. The complete, deliberate, and flagrant violation of international law and human decency is a stain on the conscience of the Global North and every president, staffer, soldier, and bureaucrat who made this happen. May the recorded voices of Layan and Hind, begging for rescue before dying alone, haunt them for the rest of their days.
Remember Hind, Layan, Yusuf, and Ahmed. Do not let despair consume you. Fight for them, for a permanent ceasefire, for accountability, and for whatever justice can be achieved, even if it seems small and pointless. Tell the world what the occupation has done, share the recordings and the updates from people on the ground. No matter how bleak things are, it is always worthwhile to tell the truth and fight for what’s right.
Keep Hind’s mother, grandfather, and surviving relatives, and the families of Yusuf and Ahmed in your hearts.

worries — spencer reid
pairing: spencer reid x reader ( no use of y/n ) summary: you get hurt while catching an unsub and spencer is worried content warnings: multiple mentions of being held at gunpoint , cut on the cheek bleeding, an ambulance arriving
Tumblr media
Your chest heaved as you leaned against the cool brick wall outside the building, trying to catch your breath. The world around you felt muffled, like everything had been wrapped in cotton. The distant hum of sirens, and the occasional crackle of a police radio faded in and out, none of it penetrating the haze in your mind.
Your hands trembled as you wiped them down your thighs, but the movement did little to stop the shaking.
It had been barely five minutes since the unsub had been standing in front of you, gun raised and finger on the trigger. Five minutes since you’d stared death in the face.
If it hadn’t been for Emily—her quick thinking, her precise aim—you wouldn’t be standing here now. The thought sent a fresh wave of adrenaline coursing through your body, your heart racing all over again. You pressed your back harder against the wall, hoping the solid surface would ground you, give you something tangible to hold onto.
A few minutes passed, the adrenaline still coursing through your veins as you stood rooted to the spot. The distant wail of approaching sirens grew louder, signaling the arrival of the ambulance.
The sound of a door creaking open caught your attention, and you turned to see Emily stepping out of the house. The moment her eyes landed on you, her expression softened.
“You okay?” she asked, her voice low but filled with genuine concern. She placed a steadying hand on your back.
You nodded, though you weren’t entirely sure if it was true. “Yeah, I think so,” you said, your voice quieter than you intended.
Emily’s sharp eyes scanned your face, and then she frowned, her brows knitting together. “You’re bleeding,” she said, gesturing to your cheek.
Your hand instinctively flew up to your face, fingers brushing against a stinging sensation you hadn’t noticed until now. When you pulled your hand back, your fingertips were smeared with blood.
“I didn’t even realize…” you murmured, your voice trailing off as you tried to recall when or how you’d gotten the cut. The events of the past hour blurred together in a chaotic whirlwind, making it impossible to pinpoint.
“It looks deep,” Emily said, her tone firm but laced with concern. “You should get that checked out.”
“I’m okay,” you replied, offering her a small, reassuring smile.
Emily raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed with your attempt to downplay the injury. “Uh-huh,” she said dryly. “And I’m the queen of England.”
Before you could protest, she gently but firmly took hold of your arm, guiding you toward the ambulance that had just pulled up. “Come on,” she said, her tone brooking no argument.
“Emily, it’s just a scratch,” you tried, but she shot you a pointed look that silenced any further objections.
As you reached the paramedics, Emily waved one of them over. “She’s got a deep cut on her cheek,” she explained, her hand still resting on your arm as if she thought you might bolt at any second.
The paramedic nodded, motioning for you to sit on the edge of the ambulance. You relented, sighing as you felt the cool touch of antiseptic on your skin.
Emily stood nearby, her arms crossed as she watched the paramedic work.
“Thanks, Emily,” you said softly, glancing up at her once the bleeding had been stopped and the cut bandaged.
As you sat on the edge of the ambulance, watching the paramedic clean up their supplies, another car pulled into the scene.
The dark sedan came to a halt, and you immediately recognized Rossi stepping out.
Emily was the first to approach him, gesturing toward the house as she gave a rundown of the situation.
Rossi nodded, his expression serious but calm, while Spencer stood just a step behind them, listening intently. His arms were crossed, his brow furrowed in concentration as he absorbed every word.
Then, out of nowhere, Spencer’s head snapped up, his gaze darting straight to the ambulance. His eyes locked on you, and something in his expression shifted.
Concern etched itself into every line of his face as he suddenly stepped away from the conversation, cutting off whatever Rossi had been saying mid-sentence.
You watched him approach, his pace quickening with every step, and you instinctively stood up, even though your legs still felt a little shaky.
“Spence, I’m okay,” you started, raising your hands as if to stop him. But the words barely left your mouth before he was standing in front of you, his eyes scanning your face like he was trying to reassure himself you were really there.
“Emily told me…” he began, his voice low and slightly unsteady. He swallowed hard, his hands twitching at his sides as he visibly tried to collect himself. “Emily told me you were held at gunpoint.”
The worry in his tone hit you like a wave, and you felt a pang of guilt for being the source of his distress. “Spencer, I’m fine,” you said softly, stepping closer to him. “It was scary, yeah, but I’m okay. Emily—Emily saved me.”
For a moment, he just stood there, his lips pressed into a thin line, like he was wrestling with some invisible force.
Then, without warning, Spencer leaned down, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you into a hug.
The gesture caught you completely off guard. Spencer wasn’t usually one for physical contact, let alone spontaneous hugs.
And yet here he was, holding you tightly, his face buried in your hair as he whispered, “I’m so glad you’re okay.”
You froze for a second, startled by the unexpected intimacy, before the warmth of his embrace began to sink in. Slowly, you lifted your arms, wrapping them around him as you hugged him back.
His grip didn’t loosen right away—if anything, it tightened slightly, like he was afraid you might slip away if he let go too soon. His breath was warm against your hair, and you could feel the faint tremble in his hands as they pressed against your back.
“I mean it,” he murmured, his voice barely audible. “I don’t know what I would’ve done if…” He trailed off, not finishing the thought, but the weight of his words hung heavy in the air.
You hesitated, unsure of what to say that could possibly ease his worry. Instead, you tightened your hold, resting your cheek against his chest as you whispered, “I’m here, Spence. I’m okay.”
After a moment, he pulled back slightly, just enough to meet your eyes. His face was flushed, his usual awkwardness beginning to creep back in, but he didn’t let go entirely. “Sorry,” he said, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips.
You shook your head, offering him a small, reassuring smile. “Don't be sorry,” you said softly. “That was… nice.”
Spencer let out a quiet, relieved laugh, finally stepping back but keeping his gaze locked on you.
You smiled back at him, feeling a warmth bloom in your chest that had nothing to do with the danger you’d just faced.

I can’t stop thinking about reader who’s a ballerina and 141 being absolutely obsessed with her, to the point they just have to have her.
Cw: DARKFIC, possessive tf141, ballerina!reader, obsessive behavious, tell me if I missed any.
It felt like something right out of a princess story, down to the T. They found you, a pretty, little thing in need of comfort and safety, frail and graceful on that stage. You twirled and threw your leg up, back arched so deeply that Soap had almost lost his mind. You looked so beautiful on the main stage, dancing under the bright, leading light that made you the main attraction of the theatre. You were made for the stage, for the light and the elegance of ballet, and the mask you hid under brightened your eyes, the glimmering gems accentuating the curve and fluffiness of your lashes.
They watched, eyes never straying from your body in the mass of dancers, easily finding you despite you mingling and switching places with others. You were just so perfect that it was hard to not find you. They had enjoyed the ballet show, all of it, from the dancing bodies to the melodic violins, cello and flute. Until men barged into the room, weapons pointed to the baroque ceiling and shot, firing dozens of rounds that fell down on a panicking crowd, pushing and fighting to get out of the room before they were gunned down by these men.
There was the reason they came to the show for. Where you were an unexpected and amazing distraction, the true attraction had finally arrived. Everyone had followed the plan, but Ghost had kept an eye on your fleeting figure, rushing behind the curtains and into the backstage, you were one of the few that managed to escape through the emergency exit at the back. With you safely secure by the second team they posted outside every exit, the four of them could concentrate on getting this plan executed.
Gaz had worked with traumatised crowds, instinctively finding you seated abord an ambulance, a thick blanket wrapped around your shoulders. Price and the others watched a small smile light up your face, cheeks slightly flushed from the adrenaline of the situation and a small laugh bubbling from you during your conversation with Gaz. He had always been the softest, the warmest and the most welcoming of them. Gaz was and will always be the easiest to approach, that’s why he dealt with crowds more often than them, and lucky them, Gaz had charmed your number into his phone.
He called every two days, forming a routine where you became used to his voice, creating a codependency between him and you. It helped that they missed you as much as you missed Gaz, your voice sounding out from Gaz’s phone with a light tone and airy laugh whenever he made a joke or a cheeky remark for them. Then he introduced you to another, incorporating Soap into your routine call and it couldn’t have gone any better. It was like gasoline to a dying fire, Soap’s cheek and golden retriever-like behaviour made you cackle and roll over in full-chested laughter.
For a while, it was only the three of you, hours spent on the phone talking and gossiping like Asian aunts, until Price and Ghost’s names (well, the mention of them) came up during. You shyly brought them up, your tone worried after Soap had told you about the rigged car, wondering about their injuries when they told you they had a few scrapes and burns. The two, who usually sat in the back of your calls, spoke up, Ghost’s dark growl and Price’s deeper rumble reassured you that they came out in better condition than the other side (you laughed and the four of them couldn’t help falling deeper in love).
You were always on their minds, if you weren’t on call, where they could hear you, feel you smile or bathe in your presence, and if they weren’t going to your ballet show, watching you twirl and dance and simply glow, they would be thinking of and about you. Your charming giggles. You sweet smiles. Your elegance. Your bright personality. Your snark. Everything about you made it hard to stop themselves from wanting more, and more and more. And soon enough, daily calls with you weren’t enough.

You sat on a bed in the ambulance as you got stitched up, again. For the second time, in one day, you had to have your wound from the previous day restitched, then on top of that you needed the wound on your leg stitched. For once you got lucky and the cut on your arm didn’t go deep enough for stitches, the medic just cleaned it and wrapped it.
Much to Sam’s displeasure you refused to go to the hospital, again. You were fine though, you had a slight limp at the moment but once you got used to the pain, you’d be fine, you just needed to walk it off. Besides, you couldn’t waste time going to the hospital, it would take too long and two attacks in a day meant Ghostface could do it again. You weren’t about to leave Sam and her friends alone just to get properly patched up.
You hopped out of the ambulance with a groan, clenching your jaw as you tried not to focus on the pain that radiated throughout your leg. You walked off, trying not to flinch with each step. You looked down, pulling at your shirt as you took in the new blood stain from your torn stitches, which wasn’t nearly as bad as the blood on your pants from that stab wound. If people didn’t know you had literally just been attacked, they’d probably assumed you committed a murder.
“Survived to tell the tale again,” Kirby said, approaching you just like last time. “Seems Ghostface got some hits in,” she tilted her head, gesturing at the bandage on your arm.
You held up your arm, giving the bandage a look, then scoffed. “Cheap shots,” you said with an eye roll.
Kirby gave a knowing hum. “That’s how he does things.”
“I’m learning that,” you mumbled.
You would be prepared next time. The first time, you didn’t have anything, but you caught him off guard, until the second one appeared. The second time you were caught off guard, forced to run into a territory filled with civilians, you won that one, but you didn’t finish the job. And now the third time, you were once again caught off guard, without weapons, your only priority had been to make sure the others got away, taking Ghostface out was your second priority. The fourth time would be different, you would make sure of it. The next time you went up against Ghostface would be the last, for every single one of them.
“You got everyone out,” Kirby said, bringing you out of your thoughts.
“Not everyone,” you whispered. You looked across the way where you saw the coroner wheeling Quinn’s body out on the stretcher. A sheet was covering her face, but you knew she was under there. Bailey looked distraught as they stopped next to him, allowing him to say goodbye one last time.
You narrowed your eyes, Bailey was crying over his dead daughter, there was nothing out of the ordinary, it was the reaction anyone would expect from a father. Bailey had been the first on the scene this time, by several minutes before anyone else, as if he was already on his way there. There was a chance that was the case, he could have been coming by to see his daughter or update everyone on the case. There was something tugging at the back of your mind though, telling you not to take it at face value, Bailey was the last to arrive after the bodega attack, but the first on the scene to the apartment, which happened to be when his daughter was murdered.
You furrowed your brow; you and the girls had gone back to the apartment right after the attack. The only person who had left the apartment was Ethan, you knew the twins wouldn’t let some random stranger into the apartment, besides Quinn’s hookup, who was found dead in the bathtub. That meant Ghostface had to either have been in the apartment the whole time, which was improbable, there was no way he could have stayed hidden for so long. The other option was that he got in another way, possibly through one of the windows, which meant he had to climb up the fire escape. Your eyes tracked the fire escape from the ground up to where you knew Sam’s apartment was. The ladder wasn’t pushed down but the dumpster was close enough that if Ghostface jumped up on it he could have pulled himself up onto the ladder. It still should have made enough noise for someone to notice, but no one did, not until the phone call came in.
“I should get to work,” Kirby said. You nodded and watched her walk off towards the crime scene.
You looked around the area, seeing Chad with Mindy as she got patched up in the back of another ambulance. A medic checked out Anika right outside the ambulance, but you knew the worst Anika probably had was a concussion from being slammed into the wall. Sam and Tara weren’t too far from the ambulance as they talked to an officer. You noticed Danny standing off to the side by the gate and decided to walk over to him.
“Hey,” you said, giving him a nod.
“Hey, are you okay?” he asked, nodding at your arm.
“It’s nothing,” you waved it off.
“Almost bleeding out it my apartment doesn’t seem like nothing.”
You chuckled, you couldn’t help but nod. The cut on your arm and the tearing of your stitches really was nothing. The real issue was the stab wound on your leg, the knife had gone deep and was bleeding quite a bit before the medics got to you. Honestly, if you didn’t get help when you did you would have most definitely bled out, not that you were going to mention that to Sam or anyone else, but it was definitely something you should have gone to the hospital for.
“I just wanted to thank you,” you said. “That ladder stunt was crazy,” you smiled, shaking your head. “But it was fucking brilliant man.”
Danny chuckled and scratched the back of his neck like he was embarrassed. “Me? What about you?” he gestured at you. “Jumping from the middle of the ladder? Now, that,” he pointed at you. “That is fucking insane.”
You couldn’t argue with him there. That was one of the craziest stunts you had ever done, and you had jumped out of planes and helicopters before, though you always had a parachute. You were bleeding out, the ladder was unstable, if you had missed, if you didn’t fall to your death, you probably would have broken most of the bones in your body.
“Do you need a change of clothes?” Danny’s question caught you off guard. “I got some you could borrow since you look…” he gestured at all of you. You looked down at your bloody self, you wouldn’t be able to go back to your house and change again.
“Thanks,” you said. “But I got some in my car,” you pointed to your vehicle down the street. “But can I change in your apartment?” Danny nodded.
You made your way over to your car, fighting through the pain that shot through your leg at every step. You opened the back door and unzipped the duffle bag you kept back there; you made sure to always have a change of clothes and anything else you would need in your car. You grabbed your spare plain black t-shirt and black cargo pants. You were sure you’d look rather intimidating walking around in all black, but you needed to be ready for a fight.
You followed Danny up to his apartment, grimacing at the pool of blood on his hard wood floor. You would have to make sure to pay to get that cleaned up, you knew how hard blood was to get out of things. The cops had walked the apartment when they first arrived but because the attack didn’t happen there, they finished up after a few minutes and made their way over to the actual crime scene.
You made your way into Danny’s bathroom to quickly changed. You pulled off your bloodied shirt and had to do a double take when you caught site of yourself in the mirror. You were in great shape, spending most of your time training, when you weren’t deployed, but your body had been through a lot. The stab wound on your side and the cut down your arm was nothing compared to the rest of you. Even the wound on your leg didn’t seem like much. Your body was litter with scars from knife and gun shot wounds, all the times you almost died. You subconsciously brought a hand to the tattoo over your heart, it was the insignia of army special forces, with the initials of your teammates throughout. As your finger brushed over the tattoo you could feel the scar underneath, the bullet that should have killed you.
You shook your head, pushing the memories down as far as they would go. You couldn’t be thinking about that, Sam needed you at your best, you couldn’t let your own trauma get in the way of that. You gripped the sink until your knuckles turned white and kept your eyes pinched shut until you had completely pushed everything away. When you looked up again, you recognized the soldier in the mirror, the one that would do whatever it took to make sure the mission succeeded and right now the mission was saving Sam and her friends. You quickly threw on the clean clothes and made your way back down to the others.
“You fuck with my family, you die,” Bailey said just as you walked out of the apartment.
You furrowed your brow as he talked to Sam. You knew he was upset; it was natural for a father to want revenge on his daughter. However, it hadn’t even been an hour since Quinn was killed, it didn’t make sense for him to be so cold and logically already.
You made your way over to Sam and Tara’s side just as Gale Weathers walked up. “I’m glad you’re okay,” Gale said.
“Don’t even start,” Sam snapped.
“I’m not here for that.” Her gaze flicked to you; you could tell she still wanted to ask you questions but she didn’t.
“Bullshit.”
“Truly,” Gale tried again. “Off the record,” she rolled her eyes. “I found something you’ll all want to see.”
Gale didn’t say what she wanted to show everyone, she just said it was connected to Ghostface. Sam and Tara began gathering the others, you couldn’t help but furrow your brow when Ethan appeared. Chad kept flicking a glare at him, you weren’t sure what happened while you were changing but if Chad was suspicious of Ethan, then whatever happened certainly couldn’t have been bad. Once everyone was gathered you all made your way to the location Gale sent.
You stood close to Sam as everyone gathered at the front of an alleyway, as Gale explained the two kids from Tara’s class who were killed rented the building. It was broad daylight, making an attack unlikely but not impossible. Attacking someone during the day was a risk, higher probability of being seen, but it was unexpected, it was a way to catch the target off guard.
Gale and Kirby argued over how Gale found the place. You knew Gale was a good reporter and reporters had the habit of finding things they shouldn’t, but the fact that Kirby didn’t know the place existed was concerning, considering she was in the FBI and specialized in Ghostface cases. You glanced over everyone else, Chad stood next to Ethan, who had his hands shoved in his pockets, looking uncomfortable and out of place as usual. Mindy had her arm wrapped around Anika, whispering something in her ear. Anika hadn’t said a word since the attack, she just had a distant look in her eyes as her entire body shook. You had seen that look plenty of times, in soldiers after their first fight, in survivors after an attack, it wasn’t easy to get past, but everyone did eventually, with time.
You followed the group down the alley, with Gale leading the way. Gale swiped a card, unlocking a large metal door at the end of the alley. The door led down a dimly lit hallway, the dated red wallpaper was peeling, revealing the stained drywall underneath. You looked down, there was a thin dark red carpet to match the wall, though you could feel how sticky it was every time you lifted your foot. You came to a stop, furrowing your brow as Gale swung open a door and stepped into a metal cage of some sort, before swiping the card again and opening another metal door.
“What is this place?” Mindy asked.
“Just wait,” Gale said, before disappearing. She walked off to the side, a second later there was a loud click that echoed throughout the room, and then all the lights came on.
You couldn’t help the way your mouth fell open, it was some sort of old movie theater. “It’s a shrine,” Gale said as she rejoined the group. You looked around, seeing she had flipped the breaker.
“Holy shit,” Mindy whispered.
The theater was filled with display cases, all of them full of stuff you assumed was from previous Ghostface attacks. It even seemed that whoever created the shrine dressed up mannequins in the actual clothes from the killers and victims, at least that’s what you gathered from the bloodstains on the clothes in question. All the displays led straight to the stage, and in center stage was a set of nine Ghostface costumes, each of them in their own special display case.
You walked through the displays, your eyes scanning over all the information. You had heard bits and pieces from the news over the years, but you never knew it was anything like this. Whoever these new people were, they clearly had done their research, they seemed to have planned everything quite thoroughly. Everything from all previous Ghostface attacks was in one room, that definitely wasn’t a coincidence, you knew something bigger was at play, everything was too easy.
Kirby said she had been investigating the two college kids, they were stupid enough to get on Kirby’s radar before they ever even killed someone. Yet, this place was apparently theirs and hidden so well even Kirby couldn’t find it. On top of that, even if they were rich kids, there seemed to be too much evidence, there was no way they got everything by simply bribing cops.
You stopped at one of the displays, there were sketches of Sam and Tara. You figured it must have been from the attack last year. In the display was also crime scene photos, and photos of Tara. You flicked your eyes to Tara as she made her way up the stage towards her sister, just based on the photos she had endured one hell of an attack. Your eyes then fell on a picture of some guy, smiling at the camera, the nameplate at the bottom read ‘Richie Kirsch’ Sam’s ex-boyfriend. You wrinkled your nose at the picture, you didn’t know the full story, didn’t know anything about the guy, but you didn’t like him from a simple photo.
“So, what,” Chad said. “Someone killed these guys and took over?” you made your way up to the center of the stage where everyone else had already gathered.
“If this were a normal Stab movie,” Mindy said. “This would be the killers lair.”
“But this isn’t a normal Stab movie,” Kirby said.
This wasn’t a movie at all. You might not have been used to this whole thing, but you didn’t get all the movie references. This wasn’t a movie, even if some psycho was inspired by a movie, this was real life, real people died, and Ghostface was just a normal guy behind a mask. You wouldn’t deny that the place certainly looked like a lair, they were definitely right about that part. The idea that two kids created the whole space, only to end up dead and have someone else take up the Ghostface mantle and know about this room just didn’t seem plausible. All your senses were telling you to take nothing at face value, that there was something deeper going on.

You're in love with Emily but she doesn't know until you're injured protecting her from an unsub. The team (you can decide if it's one member or all of them) tells her when she asks why you would go to such an extreme 🥺 please and thank you
Tumblr media
Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.
That's the only thought running through your mind as stared at your left leg and watched the ground around it turn red. Despite the fact that you knew you had been shot and had your eyes locked on the very clear evidence of that fact, the flood of epinephrine that coursed through your system was doing a very good job of blocking out the pain signals your nerves were no doubt desperately firing off.
"Y/N!"
Not even Emily's voice could break your gaze, nor could the several pairs of hands that started grabbing at you. It wasn't until someone started wrapping a belt around your thigh that the pain finally hit, hot and sudden.
"Fuck," you gasped, looking up to see Derek was the one tightening the makeshift tourniquet. Someone else was attempting to get you to lay back, and when they finally succeeded you realized it was Emily. She looked terrified, but she also wasn't hurt and that gave you some small sense of relief amidst the pain and fear.
All of the sounds surrounding you had started to blend together thanks to the amount of blood that had escaped before Derek had slowed the bleeding. Somewhere in the chaos of voices, you coud pick out JJ shouting orders at the unsub & sirens in the distance. You turned your head to try and see, but your vision was getting darker by the minute and you decided it was probably better to focus on breathing.
By the time the paramedics arrived and you felt more hands on you, you had lost the fight to keep your eyes open and Emily watched helplessly alongside the rest of the team as they loaded you onto a gurney and into the ambulance.
---------------------------------------
"Why the fuck did she do that?" Emily blurted out finally, unable to stop herself now that it was just her and JJ left in the waiting room. Derek and Reid had just ventured down towards the cafeteria for some coffee, while Hotch had stayed behind at the scene to wrap things up with the local authorities.
"She's not a showoff," the brunette continued, "and it's not like I haven't found myself staring down an unsub with a gun before. I've never questioned her judgement before, but this? This was stupid and reckless and-"
"Emily," JJ interrupted, "no offense but I'm kind of questioning your judgement. One of the most respected agents in the BAU should probably be better at identifying motives."
"What do you mean?"
"Jesus, Em. Y/N clearly has feelings for you. That's why she stepped in."
Emily's eyes widened and JJ shook her head, mind-blown by how oblivious the woman was to something that had been evident to the rest of the team for months. The blonde had to wonder if Emily was just as oblivious to her own obvious feelings for you, but now certainly wasn't the time to pry. Instead, she rested her hand on top of the brunettes & gave it a reassuring squeeze.
"She'll be okay. But you two have to address this soon, cause if you don't...Reid's going to win the bet we all made at the end of the summer about whether or not one of you would say something."

emergency contacts 📞
jemily x reader
a/n: life imitates art or whatever oscar wilde said :)
Tumblr media
it really wasn’t that bad when she looked at it. but the blaring alarm from her phone was not helping the situation at all right now. y/n maneuvered her car out of the lane and onto the shoulder to put the car in park. it was 8:47 pm, dark as hell, in the middle of one of the busiest highways and of course she gets in a wreck. not her fault, but still very inconvenient. as she got out of the car she gazed around the passing cars and sighed at the sight of the car that had hit her.
the teen had come stumbling out of the car in a panic. apologizing profusely. and y/n could see, she needed to be the calm adult in this situation. the girls car was most definitely totaled and with the incident towing on their way, y/n couldn’t let the girl wait outside alone. so now they sat in her damaged rental on the side of the road waiting for all the appropriate officers to arrive. y/n had lent the young girl her phone to call her parents and once she’d returned it she was a little shocked to see the amount of notifications she had flooding her phone.
35 missed calls
20 messages sent in lovers <3
what the hell? y/n squinted as she unlocked her phone. what could possibly be going on right now. y/n went to open her text chain when her phone started ringing again— this time garcia.
“garcia? what is going on?” y/n asked feeling a low panic course through her. the team was in office and everyone should’ve been at home so something happening to her girlfriends was an extreme she wasn’t ready to entertain.
“are you okay? are you hurt? i’m pinging your location and it looks like you’re on the side of the road. i also see that emergency services have not been dispatched to the area yet. what is going on? your girlfriends are fre-eaking out right now. why haven’t you been answering your phone? are you okay?!”
“woman, slow down! what are you talking about? why are you pinging me right now?” y/n broke through garcia’s ramblings.
“angel, the girls got an emergency alert about you being in a car accident and when you didn’t answer the phone they called me demanding i find you.”
y/n pulled the phone away from her ear in disbelief, “they got a notification? since when was that a thing—“
“hey hey, focus! what happened? and quickly before jj and emily put a bounty on my head.”
“right right, a girl rear-ended me on the highway. i’m fine, i’ll probably be a little sore but nothing i can’t handle. we’re waiting for local pd to get here now.” y/n answered easily.
“oh thank god you’re okay. i need you to call them back now and let them know because im kinda scared of jj when she gets like this.” garcia urged before bidding the younger woman goodbye.
the phone barely rang once before jj’s voice filtered down the line. “baby? are you okay?” the panic was oh so clear in her voice and when y/n her call through the apartment for emily she frowned at the stress this whole thing had caused her girlfriends.
“jay, i’m fine. i got rear-ended on the highway—“ y/n attempted to soothe but the mention of the minor accident seemed to only egg the women on.
“rear-ended on the highway? are you getting checked out?” emily’s voice interrupted.
“no, i’m fine. not even a headache.” y/n tried to excuse.
a rather frustrated groan left both jj and emily’s throats and y/n knew they weren’t having it. “try again.” jj spoke first.
“i am fine. i don’t need to be check out, id just be wasting resources for people who actually need to be tended to.”
“nope, you know better than to try that shit with us. i want you thoroughly checked out before tomorrow.” emily all but growled.
“i don’t think this is fair. you literally just told me about the time you were shot at and you didn’t go to the hospital. you wouldn’t even sit in the back of the ambulance.” y/n rebuffed.
jj seeming to have calmed a bit snorted at their girlfriend’s words, “i bet you’re regretting telling that story now.”
“shut up jj.” emily grumbled.
“listen, i know you’re a little shaken up by the notification. and i know it’s not very helpful that im traveling for work and you can’t physically be with me but i need you guys not to freak out okay?” y/n pleaded quietly down the phone.
both jj and emily sighed before agreeing, “at least stay on the line with us until you get everything squared away with local pd?” jj suggested.
“of course, baby. anything for my emergency contacts.” y/n appeased.
“is that why we got the notification? i had no clue phones did that…wait we’re your emergency contacts? since when?” emily rambled.
“i don’t know, you remember i had that allergic reaction last month? both of you were gone but i knew you two were the first i wanted to know if anything happened to me. you don’t mind do you?” y/n asked self-consciously.
“no not at all baby, we love it.” jj soothed.
“yeah keep it that way.” emily affirmed.
“yes ma’am.” y/n spoke softly down the phone.

Tumblr media
You punch in the code to Yoongi’s studio (which just so happens to be your birthday), slightly irked that you have to come all this way because your boyfriend wants to continue to be a workaholic after you’ve lectured him countless times about the importance of taking a break. So you arrive with food and a cute lil outfit you think will help distract him.
Upon entering, you see he is deeply entranced by his screen and you can hear the echoes of music blasting through his headphones. You quietly maneuver inside and set the bag of takeout on the coffee table before tiptoeing up behind his chair and slowly reaching up to his shoulders. You roughly grab them and laugh at the way he jumps and tears off his headphones.
“Jesus Christ!” he exclaims as he turns to see who just scared the shit out of him.
“Deng! Guess again,” you say with a grin, leaning down to kiss him on the head. When you go to poke his nose, he bats your hand away and mumbles.
“You could’ve given me a heart attack.”
“Well, that’s one way to get you out of the studio. Give you a ride home in an ambulance. I never thought of that,” you sneer playfully, giggling when he glares at you. You slide back to the food on the table.
“Come eat, Min PD.”
“I’m almost done,” he grumbles and turns to face his desk. You roll your eyes.
“No, sir. You need to eat or you’re gonna make yourself sick, and guess who has to take care of you,” you scold as you tug on the back of his chair to twist him around and he looks up at you with a whine. You would never want him to get sick, but if he does, you'd love to baby him, and not just because you'd find it amusing how he'd act like he didn't like it as he has many times before. You've learned over the course of your relationship that he can take care of himself when he's sick, but now that you live together, he's been known to ham up his symptoms so you'll dote on him hand and foot. And he does just the same for you, even goes out of his way sometimes. One time he called off work for an entire week when you got the flu and wouldn't hear any of your arguments that you were fine alone.
“I will! I just need a couple minutes.”
You click your tongue. “A couple minutes to you is like eight hours. I swear, you go through a time warp every time you come in here. You know it's been three days since I last saw you? Let’s go.”
You grab onto his arm and tug him, but he goes slack in his chair and makes protesting noises as you drag him towards the coffee table, laughing when he stretches his other arm at his desk like he’s being pulled away from a long-lost friend.
“You are such a drama queen,” you sigh as you let go of his arm.
“I was almost done,” he pouts, crossing his arms. You roll your eyes as you take out the food you brought.
“Sure, sure. Just eat real quick and you can finish in 'a couple minutes,’” you say sarcastically with air quotes, and he scowls, nonetheless leans forward to reluctantly grab the box of food you hand him.
You walk around the edge of the table and stop in front of him. You smile as he begins to eat his noodles, so you grab his chin.
“Good boy,” you quip, and lean down to press a kiss to the corner of his lips, catching him off guard.
He coughs a bit as he processes what you said and watches you with wide eyes as you sit down in his lap. You laugh at his expression as you open your container of food and grab a pair of chopsticks. You both sit in silence and eat, glancing at him every now and as he chews with his head down, a line drawn between his brows that looks like he’s trying to figure out something.
“How’s your food?” you ask before taking a sip from your bottle of water.
“Good,” he grumbles without looking at you. “Thanks.”
You shift to get more comfortable in his lap and he starts to chew faster.
After he nudges you off his lap and helps you clean up, he turns around to scoot his chair back to his desk.
“Thanks for coming by and all, but I think you should leave."
You scoff, mildly hurt. “Why?”
“Because I know what you’re trying to do.”
You realize what he means and the brat in you makes an appearance, so you throw your hair haughtily over your shoulder and slyly walk up to his chair, sliding a hand down his arm.
“And what is that exactly?”
“You’re trying to distract me, but it’s not working,” he says through curled lips, staring at his screen.
“No?” you smirk. You squat and fold your elbows on the arms of his chair, propping your chin up on your wrist. “How am I being distracting? All I did was bring you food.”
He turns his head to glare at you, but his Adam's apple bobs when he looks down at your position, how your legs are spread to reveal the meat of your thighs, then at how you smile at him in a pseudo-innocent way.
“Exhibit A, B and C,” he says, gesturing to your legs, tits, and face.
You grin. “What? I’m just looking at you.” Your voice however drips in seduction.
He shakes his head and looks back at his screen, trying to stay strong.
“Precisely.”
Your tongue pokes into your cheek in amusement and a devilish lightbulb flashes in your mind.
“How is me looking at you so distracting?” you ask, settling on your knees before gliding a hand over his leg. “Wouldn’t it be something more like this?”
His mouth pulls into a thin line as he struggles to keep his eyes focused up. You slowly push at his leg to move him towards you so you can rise in between his knees, smiling at the way he refuses to look at you. You begin to slide your hands up his thigh, licking your lips as you head for his crotch, but he catches your wrist.
“Don’t,” he commands, now looking down at you with a serious expression.
Undeterred, you push your bottom lip out in the brattiest pout, and the severe clench in his jaw shows how hard he's fighting to keep his guard up.
“You’re just so stressed, and I want to help you… relax.”
He closes his eyes and swallows, and you just know he's trying to keep his imagination away from thoughts not suited for work.
“I appreciate that, baby, but I’m almost done here and when I am, I’m all yours, okay?” He lets go of your wrist to smooth out your pout with his thumb.
You believe him, but still, you want to bother him after he hasn't paid attention to you in a few days.
“Fine,” you sigh and start to stand up. “Well, I guess I can’t ask you for your advice on what I bought. If I want to return it, today is my last day, so it’s now or never.”
You only take one step away when his hand grabs your wrist. You smile. Hook, line, and stinker.
You look back in faux confusion. He licks his lips and swallows, hesitant yet desperate to find out what you’re talking about.
“What do you need my advice on?”
Without hesitation, your hands fly to the hem of your shirt. “Oh, just this.”
He sucks in a sharp breath as you tear off your shirt to reveal a lavender corset bra. The lace is embroidered with delicate floral designs to reveal the lower half of your breast, just barely covering your nipples, and parts of your ribcage below. His throat goes dry.
“It has a matching thong too. Wanna see?” Your question is rhetorical because you give him no time to breathe as you unbutton your shorts. You bend over to shimmy them down your legs, making a show of wiggling so your breasts move side to side.
You kick your shorts to the side and stand straight, carding your hair out of your face before placing your hands on your hips and standing confidently in front of him.
“So, what do you think?” you ask, cocking your head to the side as his wide eyes go up and down your form.
“It’s pretty,” he swallows, biting his lip to ignore the twitch in his boxers.
“Oh, see how it looks from behind.” You twirl around and adjust the clips of the corset then the hem of your thong, sticking your ass out in the process. “Isn’t it cute?” Yoongi is screwed.
You look at him from over your shoulder. “Do you like it?”
He nods, barely hearing you as his eyes train on the way the string of the thong disappears between your cheeks. You smirk when his tongue pokes out just over his teeth.
“The lace is really soft too. Here, feel,” you say, spinning back around and walking up to him, rubbing your fingers over the lace below your breast.
He swallows, wanting so bad to reach out and touch, but knowing if he does, it’s over for him, he’ll lose. But shit, you look good as fuck, and he can’t help but give in.
You grin as he reaches his hand out to feel the lace and he hums in approval.
“It’s nice,” he says, voice deep and starting to give away his desire.
“It’s even better here,” you say, gripping his wrist to plant his hand on your breast and he purrs as he lets his fingers squeeze your flesh.
You let him massage for a second or two and judging by his face he looks closer to giving into your distraction, but you'll wait.
“Okay, since you like it, I won’t return it,” you say, dropping his hand and turning to grab your shorts off the ground. “Thanks! I’ll let you get back to work.”
You bend over again to pick up your shirt, your ass right in his line of sight and he can’t deny the rock-hard bulge in his jeans.
“I’ll see you when you get home,” you say as you walk over to the table but his low voice rumbles through the sound-proof studio.
“Get your ass back here,” his words shoot straight to your core, the string of your thong growing wet.
“I thought you said you have to work,” you say innocently.
“Right now,” he growls, and you move towards him like a magnet.
Once again next to his chair, he slides his fingers underneath the lavender straps stretching over your hips to cup your exposed ass. Your skin flares hot when he squeezes.
“I don’t want to distract you.”
His dark eyes filled with lust shoot up to you and flicker with anger.
“It’s a little fuckin’ late for that, doll,” he grits. “You made a problem and now you’re going to fix it.” He moves his other hand to palm his bulge. Your eyes widen at the motion, and you cross your legs because, shit, you want to sit on that so bad.
“And then you’re going to leave and let me finish what you interrupted and wait for me to come home.”
“Yeah? Then what?”
His lips curl in what could be a growl, and he smacks your ass, pushing you to stand between his legs.
“Then I’m going to punish you for getting me hard at work.”
You moan as his hand moves to your front and feels over the lace material that covers your pussy. You shudder when his fingers slip between your thighs, battling with the string of your thong to rake over your clit and slit, groaning at how wet you already are.
“Fuck, you really get this turned on just from teasing me?”
You whimper in response as he drags his finger over your bud before removing his hand.
“We need to do something about that,” he says, sticking his fingers in his mouth to suck your arousal from them. Your legs shake involuntarily. “You can’t keep pissing me off so you can get your way.”
You breathe out a moan as he pops his wet fingers into view and licks over them slowly with his tongue flicking in the v-shape while looking right at you before dropping them to his lap. Your eyes roll to the back of your head as you imagine him doing that right on your clit.
“I keep saying, you make it too easy.”
He bares his teeth before gripping your sides and pulling you down to his lap, pushing your hips to roll on his groin.
“Or maybe you just need to have the brat fucked out of you,” he growls into your ear before biting the skin below it. Before you can do anything, he pushes at your waist and tells you to get on your knees on the ground, raking his hair back in frustration.
You hesitate as you stare at his crotch, wanting to reach for it but remembering all the times he's tied you up for touching him without permission.
“Get to work,” he says, letting his wrists dangle casually from the arms of the chair, bracelets clacking.
You greedily sit up on your knees as your fingers dig around under his sweater for his belt. You quiver at the sound of his buckle coming loose and bite your lip when you see the bulge straining in his underwear after you undo his jeans. Just as you begin to reach into his boxers, someone knocks at his door.
You both react in panic.
“Hyung, can I come in? I need to show you something,” the sound of Hoseok’s voice echoes from the other side of the door.
“Shit!” he breathes, pushing your hands away from his belt and rolling in his chair over to where you left your clothes on the floor. However, you have no intention of moving.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” He asks exasperatedly in a hushed tone when he finds you sliding back under his desk on your hands and knees.
“Yah, Yoongi hyung!”
Yoongi’s head whips between you and the door, blood pressure spiking. You put your hand out for the clothes he’s holding.
“It’s too late, I’ll just hide under here. He won’t see me.”
Yoongi’s jaw moves in annoyance, but he has no time to argue with you. So, he scoots his chair all the way under his desk to shield you with his widespread legs, throwing your clothes in your face. It works because you can barely see out beyond his lap, thanks to his wide and thick thighs, but this is no good news for Yoongi because another evil and salacious idea forms in your mind.
“It’s unlocked!” Yoongi calls and braces himself, praying that Hoseok cannot see under his desk.
As the door opens, Yoongi quickly busies himself at his computer, pretending that he doesn’t have his half-naked girlfriend underneath his desk and face level with his crotch.
“Sorry to bother you, I just wanted to ask your advice on something.”
Yoongi’s brow ticks. Why is everyone asking for his advice today?
“It’s fine, Hob-a, what’s up?” He asks, trying to play it cool.
But as Hoseok stands next to him at his desk, he feels hands slide onto his lap and he grips the edge of the table, hoping that you're only just teasing him. But that hope doesn’t last very long.
Hoseok wants to know what he thinks about one of his tracks, that there’s something off about it but he can’t figure out what. Hoseok hands Yoongi his flash drive and he plugs it into his PC, and as he clicks around for the file your fingers inch towards his unopened jeans.
As Hoseok points at the screen about different parts of the track he’s concerned about, Yoongi grinds his teeth, urging himself to stay focused even when you begin to palm at his clothed dick. He thinks about kicking you, but all thoughts get cut off when you reach in through the hole in his boxers and pull his cock out. Fuck, he's needy for you, even in the most unorthodox way. He jerks when your hand wraps around his length, the other diving back in to squeeze his balls but he plays it off like he’s adjusting in his seat, masking his moan with a cough. He slides forward in the chair so you can have easier access.
Shit. How can something so wrong feel so motherfucking good?
“You okay?” Hoseok asks, giving him a wary side glance as Yoongi clicks around the screen.
The older, sweating man nods stiffly and clears his throat.
“Yeah. It’s just been a long day. Do you wanna run it through?”
Hoseok leans over for the mouse and Yoongi takes the chance to let his expression crack while you run your tongue up the thick, pulsing vein on the underside of his dick, hand circling around his base.
Yoongi’s eyebrows pinch in fierce concentration on Hoseok’s track once he hits play but all of a sudden, your lips wrap around his tip, and you suck him into hollowed cheeks, devastatingly slow so as to not make noise even though the music would surely cover it. Stifling a groan, he straightens his back and presses his ribcage against his desk when you swirl your tongue around him. He’s going to fucking get you later.
Hoseok hits the spacebar and pauses the music. As it stops, you halt your movements. “See, there. Something doesn’t sound right.”
Yoongi’s brows furrow as he tries to center his attention even though your hand is massaging his balls.
“I think I missed it, sorry.”
Hoseok sighs but moves the mouse to rewind back a few beats. He points at the tracker on the screen to tell Yoongi which part to pay most attention to and he nods.
As the music resumes your mouth returns to his length, and you slowly move down until his tip hits the back of your throat and he holds his breath at the pleasure, moan catching in his chest. He's so goddamn pissed that you’re doing this to him, but it feels so good at the same time. He tries his best to resist the urge to let the pleasure consume him, so he knocks off his snapback to pull his fingers through his hair and begs his brain to focus on the music.
“Right here, hyung,” Hoseok murmurs next to him and Yoongi nods, listening closely even though your hot tongue licks from his base to the tip.
Then he hears it, some strange offbeat in the background and he taps the spacebar, sighing through his nose when the silence makes you retreat.
They go over it for a while until Yoongi finally figures out what’s going on since the blood returns to his brain once you stopped touching him (although that doesn’t mean he isn’t still hard, and his dick isn’t twitching in your face and making you salivate and want to touch yourself).
“Ah, okay, I see what you mean,” Hoseok says when Yoongi explains that there’s an extra beat embedded that’s easy to miss. “Thanks.” He claps him on the shoulder.
“Is that all you need?” Yoongi asks just to be polite but prays Hobi makes a quick exit.
He nods as he saves the file before ejecting it and Yoongi pulls out the flash drive and hands it to him.
“How long have you been here?”
“Uh, a while, but I’m almost done.” Yoongi hopes Hoseok doesn’t see the way his eyes squeeze shut when you begin to move your thumb over his leaking tip.
“Good. You deserve a break! You’ve been working so hard.”
“Thanks, Hob-a. You too.”
“How’s your girlfriend?”
Yoongi internally groans, now of all times Hoseok wants to make small talk.
“She’s fine,” he says in a tight voice, only because you have lightly dragged your fingers up his length.
“Uh-oh. Troubles in paradise?”
Yoongi’s eyes widen in confusion and your hand stills. “No? What makes you say that?”
“Oh, just saying, because usually when anyone asks you about her, you gush for like twenty minutes.”
Yoongi’s face and neck flushes a dark red and you have to press a hand over your mouth to keep yourself quiet.
“Do not,” he grumbles, although in denial.
Hoseok snorts. “Fat lie, hyung. You always jump at the chance to talk about her, you don’t realize that? It’s cute! Well, in a sickening kind of way, but still.”
Yoongi glares at him as he feels your head fall onto his knee, trying to keep yourself from laughing.
“Shut up,” he grumbles.
“Why? Are you embarrassed?” Hoseok teases in a baby voice, bending down to pinch at Yoongi’s cheeks. “Cute Yoonie loves his girlfriend so much that he wants to talk about her all the time.”
“Fuck off, Hoseok,” Yoongi mumbles, swatting at Hoseok’s fingers and pushing him away as he turns back to his computer, and thankfully you’ve cut him a fucking break under his desk.
Hoseok snickers and grabs his laptop. “You better go home and see her, go on a date. But if you’re too busy, I’d be more than happy to take her out for you!”
“Yah, Jung Hoseok!” Yoongi bubbles with fury and Hoseok just cackles and scurries to the exit.
“Bye!” Hoseok grins mischievously, wiggling his fingers in the air before closing the door behind him.
A few seconds after the lock clicks shut, you burst out into laughter, and Yoongi flushes a hot, steaming red all the way up to his ears.
Yoongi pushes away from the desk and ducks his head down to look at you as you begin to crawl out on all fours. He scowls when you giggle once you make eye contact with him.
“I don’t see what’s funny. You’re in big trouble, you know,” he says, stuffing himself back in his underwear.
You stifle a laugh as you stand up. “You mad?”
“Clearly!”
You cock your eyebrow when he darts a hand out in frustration. “At what, the fact that I sucked your dick under your desk or that I found out how much you love to talk about me?”
Yoongi narrows his eyes and crosses his arms. “Both.”
You smirk. “Aww, come on, Yoonie~” you tease, mimicking Hoseok as you go to sit on your boyfriend’s lap.
“Go away,” He tries to fight you off but you trap him by grinding down on his hips and shoving your tits in his face.
You hum as you press an open-mouth kiss to the corner of his mouth. “You sure?”
Your hand slides down to his clothed dick, still solid under your palm. “Don't you want me to take care of your ‘problem’?”
He swallows moan as you grope him. But he feels embarrassed and upset that you went down on him when Hoseok was there. Deep down he thinks it was hot, but he knows Hoseok has always had a crush on you and he doesn’t like the idea of him seeing you like that, especially with the kinds of comments he sometimes makes implying that he can treat you better.
“Yeah, when I get home,” he sighs and you deflate. “I’m almost done.”
“Seriously, are you mad?”
“No, babe. I just want to finish up now so that I can be done for the weekend. That’s what you want, right?”
You grimace, wondering what he means by that. “Fine,” you acquiesce, hopping off of his lap so he can roll back up to his desk.
You slide on your clothes and gather your things, biting your tongue to keep from saying anything smart, but you can’t help feeling that his words don't sit right in your chest. As you walk to the door and slip on your shoes, you glance over to see him hunched over his desk, not even bothering to look back as you leave.
“You know, maybe I’ll go find Hoseok and take him up on his offer. Since it seems he has the time for me,” you sneer after you open the door, stepping out and slamming it shut behind you.
Yoongi jerks his head and swivels around but you've already disappeared. Oooh, that pisses him off. He knows you only said it to do just that but that sits right along his insecurities and he wants to lose it. But he really is almost done with work so if he hunkers down now, he can finish and go home and tell you off.

90 minutes later he receives a notification, a text from you with an attached image. You’re lying in bed on your stomach in your corset bra, holding up your head as you pout into the camera with your cleavage on full display.
my brat: Hoseok was busy :/
Yoongi drops his phone on the table, and it clatters, free hands rubbing frustration down his face. He knows what you’re doing, and he should have the willpower to ignore it but- FUCK are you good at getting what you want. You like pissing him off so that he'll be rough with you. And although he enjoys the dynamic, finds it fun, this is just one of those times that he really doesn’t like how you piss him off. He hates the idea of you alluding to the fact that you asked another man to fuck you. He knows you indeed haven’t, that you’re just messing with him, but he’s getting in his head with his self-doubt. He angrily decides that the track is good enough for now, that he can meet with Namjoon tomorrow or something to tweak it. He has to get home to make sure no one else has touched you but him.
You are in Big. Fucking. Trouble.

When Yoongi walks through the door, you’re in the kitchen getting something to drink, wearing one of his flannel shirts over your lingerie. When he appears you smile and greet him, but falter when he ignores you and quickly shuffles by to the bedroom. You watch him pass you and your smile slips at the stone look on his face. You know you pissed him off but did you make him upset? You never want to hurt his feelings, you just want to get his attention. You set your drink on the counter and pad after him.
When you walk into the room and lean against the door frame, his back is to you as he strips off his sweater to reveal his dark gray t-shirt and silver chain.
“Did you finish?” you ask, twiddling your fingers over one of the buttons of his flannel.
“No,” he says, keeping his back to you. You frown.
“Oh. How come?”
“Because my bratty girlfriend can’t be fucking patient," he grits, swiping off his snapback.
You cross your arms, not appreciating his tone. “I left, didn't I?”
His shoulders shake in a sardonic laugh, fingers combing through his hat-hair. “Yeah, only after telling me you were going to look for Hoseok.”
“Yeah well, maybe if you paid more attention to me, I wouldn’t feel the need to do that,” you sneer before pushing off of the door frame to speed-walk into the living room.
You only make it halfway down the hall before a hand grabs your wrist. You’re met with Yoongi’s looming figure exuding anger as he glares down at you and you match his energy immediately.
“And you think the way to get my attention is by making me jealous?”
“Well, it seems to be the only thing that’s working! Isn’t that why you came home before you got done with work? Because you think I asked Hoseok to fuck me? Not because you-“
“Did you?” he interrupts and your jaw moves in irritation.
“What do you think?” you bark. He blinks down at the floor. There it is again- that insecurity. He backs you into the wall as he tries to control his anxiety.
“I don’t know,” he mumbles honestly and that pisses you off. He really thinks you would stoop that low?
“Really? What, you think I wanted to suck you off while he was there hoping he’d catch us? Ask to join? Have me suck his dick too?”
Rage floods through him at the thought and his hold around your wrist tightens.
“Would you?”
Your mouth drops open. “Wow. Screw you." You pry his hand off and angrily walk back into the bedroom, wanting to put on more clothes now that you’re upset. As he follows, you make a petty point by taking off his flannel and exchanging it for your own clothes, pulling on your own t-shirt and sweats.
“I didn’t mean it like that,” he says when he stands in the doorway.
"No? You don’t think that I’d jump at the chance to suck another man’s dick if the opportunity presented itself?”
“No, of course not,” he shakes his head, feeling guilty when you say nothing else so he continues, wanting you to understand where he's coming from.
“I just… You know he likes you.”
You spin around, flabbergasted. “Fucking so?”
He closes his eyes, feeling embarrassed that he’s about to bring this up. He has no reason to be worried that you like Hoseok but… he still struggles deep down that he doesn’t deserve you and that you’d be better off with someone else. Maybe someone like Hoseok.
“Why don’t you go ask him whether or not I took him up on his offer?” you snap. Then you stride across the floor and stand toe to toe with him.
“Or how bout you find out for yourself,” you provoke.
He looks down at you with your chin tilted up at his and a heartbeat passes before his hands fly to your face and he presses his lips to yours. You respond immediately by scraping your fingers over his ribs, hooking over his spine as he licks into your mouth, teeth clashing together desperately.
He begins to walk you backward towards the bed and when you hit the edge of the mattress, he tears your shirt off and lifts you by the waist to settle you down and kiss you hungrily as he climbs on top of you, chain laying on your throat. His hands move down to your sweats and he stands straight to rip them down your legs and onto the floor, looking down at your body decorated with pretty lingerie and he intrusively thinks about Hoseok seeing you like this and jealousy fires through him again.
He falls to his knees and loops his fingers under the straps of your thong to roughly pull them off, licking his lips at the sight of your bare pussy, glistening with the return of your arousal. He adds to it with his spit and promptly attaches his lips to your clit, growling when you cry out and arch your back in response. He wraps his arms underneath your thighs to hold you in place as he slathers your pussy with his spit and teeth and tongue.
His eyes close as you let out whimpers and whines of his name while your hands grip his hair, every sound making his dick twitch in his jeans. He sucks and slurps all over your cunt, making it messy between your thighs and on his chin, anything to make you keep wailing his name. He flicks his tongue over your clit and between your folds just like he demonstrated on his fingers back in the studio, and he has to flex his biceps around your thighs when you thrash. He can tell you’re close by the way your legs quiver beside his head and he slides your clit between his teeth before pressing his lips around it and sucking in a fast, relentless rhythm.
“Yoongi, gonna come!” you cry and a dark chuckle rumbles through his chest at the thought that no one else can get you to your peak as quickly as he can. He mercilessly continues sucking your clit until your legs violently shake and press against his head and you come with shrieks of his name. His tongue dives to your hole as it pulses and he licks your essence into his mouth and groans while he swallows, grinning victoriously as you continue to shake through throes of pleasure.
He slows his movements as you spiral down, loving the way you twitch at every touch of his mouth. He presses a final kiss to your clit before he moves his arms from under your thighs so he can hover over you while you catch your breath. He places his knee between your legs and leans down to kiss you so you can taste yourself, chain swinging over your heaving breasts. You moan as you dart your tongue against his and loop your arms around his neck to pull him down. Then he slides his lips down your jaw into the crook of your shoulder and speaks gruffly into your ear.
“You think he could make you come like that?”
You immediately shake your head, heat filling your gut at his dark tone. He bites your neck then rolls his tongue over the spot to soothe the sting.
“You need to say that out loud.”
You draw in a sharp breath. “No! No he couldn’t.”
“Couldn’t what?” he snaps.
“He couldn’t make me come. Not like you do.”
Pride shoots down his spine and he sits up to straddle your hips, turning you over onto your stomach so he can grab handfuls of your ass.
“You think he could fuck you like I do? Huh?” he experimentally rolls his clothed bulge over the swell of your ass.
“No,” you whimper with a desperate shake of your head.
“No?” he challenges. “You don’t think so?” He drags his hips against you slowly, hissing at the friction.
You continue to agree and he hums, still taking his time to drag this out. He just wants to hear it as much as possible but your smart mouth fucks you over.
“If you’re not convinced then we can go find out,” you say, voice muffled by the sheets but he hears you and snarls.
He leans down to grip a handful of your hair to turn your ear to his mouth.
“Why don’t you do that and I’ll go re-acquaint myself with Mina.”
A vicious green monster tears through your chest and you turn over to face him as your head fills with intrusive thoughts of the hands and body of his ex you once envied all over him while he enjoys it.
He chuckles mockingly at your expression. “Don’t like that, huh?”
You say nothing but look at him angrily as you picture him with her, hating it with a passion.
“Do you, baby?” he coos sarcastically, trailing the backs of his fingers down your cheek. “Don’t like the idea of my hands and my mouth being on someone else?”
He leans down to emphasize his point by kneading and kissing at your skin that he can reach and your chest heaves in response.
He rolls his hips. “Or my dick fucking someone else’s pussy?”
You see red and your hands fly up to grab his chain and tug his face parallel with yours so he grunts, a dark grin spreading on his face.
“No, I don’t fucking like it,” you seethe.
“Now you know how I feel,” he says mockingly. You scowl, fucking annoyed, and let go of his jewelry.
“You brought this on yourself. I never talked to Hoseok. He was the one who said he would take me out if you didn’t.”
“Yeah, you wouldn’t have heard that if you hadn't been hiding under my desk sucking me off.”
“Oh, right and you were trying real hard to get me to stop,” you snap, pushing at his chest.
His jaw ticks, realizing you have a point. He leans up and sits back on his heels.
“Or just admit that you didn’t want me to,” you say, propping yourself up on your elbows. His eyes flicker to you darkly.
“That you liked it,” you taunt, moving to sit up on your knees so that you're level with him.
“That maybe if he did catch us he’d be jealous of your long, fat dick.” He shivers as your words send shocks to his core and his ego.
“And how good my throat is for fucking.”
His gulps at the imagery as your fingers trace under his shirt.
“And how he’d never get to find out for himself,” you say earnestly, looking directly into his eyes.
Then your hand slowly travels down to his groin.
“But if you want to go find Mina and see if she makes you feel as good as I do,” you mock as you grab his bulge and squeeze under his balls, making him hiss and involuntarily buck against you.
“Then be my fucking guest.” Your teeth grind as you let go of him to move off of the bed but you’re quickly stopped with a hand squeezing your elbow.
“Lay down,” he demands, warm breath fanning over your cheek.
“Make me." He huffs before moving his hand to your throat and pressing lightly on either side, making your resolve slip.
“Keep it up, brat.” The very brat in you comes back for an encore as you grab his wrist.
“Or what? Gonna go call up Mina? You think she’d even want you anymore?”
His eyes flash menacingly at the venom in your voice and you squeak when he bends down to pick you up, arms supporting your back and under your ass to carry you over to your shared desk.
“It doesn’t matter whether she would or not. Because I don’t want her,” he says simply as he sets you down, knocking the notebooks and tchotchkes out of the way, paying no mind as they clatter onto the floor.
“No? Then who do you want?” You know it’s a stupid question but you’re fucking triggered and you want to hear him say it. He tilts his head as he undoes the buckle on his belt.
“I’m looking right at her, sweetheart.” You falter, but you’re not about to let up that easy.
"Just - Fuck you for bringing her up." Gently pushing your legs apart, he gives you a remorseful smile.
“I’m sorry. I only wanted to get back at you but I took it too far.”
“Get back at me for what?” you ask, glossing over his apology and you’re almost able to ignore his fingers massaging the inside of your thighs.
He cocks his brow. “For that selfie you sent and your text implying that you asked Hoseok to fuck you but he was too busy?”
“You started it,” you scoff and cross your arms, chest heaving as his hands move slowly to the part of you that’s aching for him.
“Did I? You were the one who came into my studio and shoved your tits and ass in my face wearing this pretty lingerie all because I haven’t been paying you enough attention.”
“Try ‘any’ attention.” He hums and looks down to watch his thumb brush over your clit, smirking when you gasp and grab his forearm.
“Baby, it’s only been a few days. Are you that needy for me?”
You huff but don't try to deny it, eyes rolling to the ceiling when he slides two fingers between your wet folds, lifting up your knee to hold it on his hips so he has a better view and access.
“Thought so.” You shut your eyes so his smug face won’t piss you off.
“Well, remember I tried to leave but you told me to ‘get my ass back here right now,’” you recount, leaning back with a hand on the desk.
You bite your tongue when his fingers sink inside to slowly work you open.
“Yeah, well you’re sexy as hell in this lingerie and I’m a weak bastard for you, so sue me,” he grumbles, staring at your pussy as his hand picks up the pace.
“I’m only sexy in lingerie?”
He sighs. “Sweetheart, did you miss the part where I said I’m a weak fucking man for you?”
You hum nonchalantly, his words filling your heart up with butterflies but the brat in you is refusing to leave the stage so you ignore him.
He shakes his head and grips your thigh to get you to look at him, making sure you’re paying attention.
“Just shut that smart mouth of yours, baby girl. And let me show you I mean what I say.”
He lifts one of your arms to hook around his shoulder and you reluctantly acquiesce, letting him situate you in a way that’s comfortable before he pushes down his jeans to free his dick from its confines. Jerking his shaft, he tilts down in concentration to inspect your puffy cunt.
When he thinks it could use more lube, he holds his hand next to your mouth.
“Spit.” Letting go of your stubbornness, you obey, only because you enjoy the way he doesn’t mind your saliva dropping in his palm.
“Good girl,” he mumbles. You watch impatiently as he tilts his head back while spreading your spit over his tip, making you clench around nothing when his knuckles brush your folds. You whine his name again when you feel his head rub up and down your wet slit before he taps it a few times.
“Beg.”
Your hand slaps his back, matching your huff in frustration and his lip curls.
“Minus the fucking attitude.”
“It’s been three days.”
“What?” he snaps.
You lift your head with a glare. “I said it’s been three fucking days, why should I beg?”
He slides his hard, lubed up length in between your folds to show you what you’re stalling.
“Shouldn’t that be all the more reason to?” he growls as he smacks the side of your ass.
“I'm not the one who didn't come home. So shouldn’t it be you doing the begging?”
He stills.
“Maybe,” he says softly, massaging your skin that he knows is stinging from his hand. Your chest squeezes at the sad tone in his voice even though you’re pissed off.
“But you remember what I said about punishing you for getting me hard at work?”
Your eyes squeeze shut, lips pursing as you nod.
“This is part of it. You’d better fucking beg.”
He sighs and shakes his head, digging his fingers into your waist when you take a second too long to respond.
“I’m not going to tell you again.” He steps back, threatening to walk away. In a panic, you hook your heels behind him to keep him from going any further.
“Fuck, fine! Yoongi, please. Please fuck me!”
With a dark chuckle, he closes the distance between you again, arm circling around your waist, licking and marking under your jaw. Wrapping your arms around his neck as he holds up your thigh, you moan when he teases your entrance with his throbbing tip.
“I’ll always give you what you want when you’re a good girl for me.”
And just like that, the brat in you is gone. At least for now. He groans when you kiss him with ferocity and allows you to take the reins a bit. You moan and fist his hair in both hands, whining when his hand trails to your core to make sure you’re still ready, and he’s confirmed when he easily slips in three of his fingers, making you gasp into his mouth.
“You want it?” he growls against your swollen lips as he removes his hand covered with your essence to use it as lube on his dick. You nod frantically.
“Words.”
“Yes!” you wheeze.
“You gonna be a good girl for me?”
“Yes!” You exclaim louder.
“Then turn around.”
He helps you settle on your feet and twirls you around with both hands on your hips, biting behind your ear while he lines himself up behind you.
“You know I love you, right?” You nod, leaning into his teeth and wiggling your hips to entice him but his firm hand on your ass keeps you in place. “But right now I’m about to fuck you like I don’t.”
A spark floods through you at the way he curls a hand around your throat and simultaneously rubs his head up to your aching clit. You’re screwed, but you are so, so ready.
“Please!”
Without giving you a second to breathe, he spears into you, forcing you forward with your hands flattened on the desk. You yelp out when he begins ramming into you at an angle so deep your eyes roll to the back of your head.
He slaps your ass, harshly enough to sting, and grunts when you clench around him, continuing to make the room swell with lewd sounds of your wet pussy squelching with every smack of his hips. It feels feral, the force of his thrusts causing the desk to thump against the wall, but the rhythmic sound is drowned out by your mindless moans.
He fucks you like he hates you, like he doesn’t care how the wooden edge is digging into your waist, or the way he’s slapping your ass until your skin is raw, slamming his hips against yours so it’s certain you’re going to have trouble walking. If you didn’t like it so much, you’d be telling yourself not to piss him off ever again.
A hand on your spine pushes you down onto the desk, breasts and face squishing on the lacquered wood, and you moan when he pulls your cheeks a part and you can just picture the way he’s watching himself pound you, tongue poked out in fascination, head moving from side to side to see all the different angles.
“Nah.” He mutters to himself and you glance over your shoulder to see him shaking his head as your body moves up and down. “No one else can fuck you like this. Right?” He grits, fingers digging into your ass as he takes a long stroke of emphasis.
“Mhmm!”
He hums to himself in satisfaction, letting out an amused chuckle before he starts fucking you so hard and so fast and so goddamn good that you don’t realize you’re coming until it hits you, and your finger nails dig into the desk for dear life, leaving scratch marks. As you clench around him he lets out a string of curses that would make even a sailor blush, rubbing his hands up and down your back, fingertips kneading your ass as you shake and come apart.
You’re still trembling when he finally slows his thrusts to a moderate pace and his hands on your skin are moving more gently now that you’re coming down.
“Baby, talk to me. You good?” It takes you a second to register that he’s been talking to you for a few seconds. He just fucked you into euphoria, you’re drooling on the desk because of it, so you need a goddamn minute.
You whine in dissatisfaction when he pulls out of you, only for him to reach over to brush sweaty hair out of your face, and you blink open tear-filled eyes to him peering down at you with concern knitted into his brows.
“You good?” he repeats, continuing to brush your hair back and smoothe his hand down your spine.
You nod. “Mhmm. ‘M a good girl.” His eyebrows lift in relief when you say something that’s somewhat coherent.
“That you are.” You swoon. That’s all you ever want to hear him say, even though more often than not your behavior speaks otherwise. At least he’s shown you that he loves to deal with it.
“I’m gonna bring you over to the bed. Can you make it?” Pushing your hands against the desk, you try to put some weight on your feet and know without even trying that you won’t. It feels like he was on the brink of splitting you in half.
“Only if you carry me.” You can feel his smile on the side of your face as he rubs your shoulders before gently pulling back on them, holding you against his chest once you straighten. He presses light but necessary kisses to your neck and cheek before turning you to the side so he can swoop you up in his arms like you’re his bride. You hope one day you will be.
You could almost cry at the tender way he puts you down on the mattress, his face dewy and red from exertion, and adjusts the pillows beneath you, fluffing them how you like it. How he can so easily slip from being your insane freak in the sheets who hates you to your sweet, doting boyfriend is beyond you but it’s one of the many things you love so much about him. “Too much?” Your heart swells again at his loving tone as he coasts his hand down your torso, inspecting the indentations left on your waist from the desk to make sure they’re ones that won’t bruise.
You shake your head. “I can still remember my own name.”
“Dang, so I could do better,” he smirks.
Blowing a raspberry, you playfully smack the side of his head and he only chuckles and leans down to kiss you. Just as he brushes your lips, you push at his clothed shoulder, suddenly very much bothered by the fact that he is not completely naked yet.
“Shirt,” you mumble, tugging at his collar. “What about it?” “Off.”
He cocks a brow, mouth pulling up into a smirk. “Are you telling me what to do?”
“Yes. Problem?”
He hisses an amused sound, sits up on his knees and blinks down at you, lightly batting your hands away when you reach for the hem of his now unapproved fabric.
“We just went through all that, but you still want to have a fucking attitude?”
You withdraw your hands, rest them on your tummy as you look up at him sheepishly. He looks at you patiently, waiting for a response, but you don’t have one, so you instead raise your hands to the side in a shrug because what can you say? The smirk on his face grows until it turns into a laugh, and he kicks his head back. Fuck, you love his laugh. His shoulders start to shake, gummy grin on full display as he looks down at you through his stringy bangs, and you fall just that much more in love.
“It’s like that, huh?” He muses, coasting his hands up and down your thighs.
“It’s fun to piss you off,” you justify, holding your arms up in invitation and he pauses for a split second before lowering into your embrace.
“Yeah, and I know you have a blast doing it, much to my expense,” he mutters, letting you pepper his jaw with kisses. You giggle as you get over to his mouth and he opens up to swallow down your sounds.
As you makeout, his hips start to rock over yours under the covers, heavy cock desperate to fill you again so you trail your hands down to his ass, digging your go ahead into his skin. Keeping a hand next to your head and his tongue over yours, he reaches down to guide himself back in, humming when you moan in satisfaction. He lifts his head with a curse when you suck him in with ease, baring your neck to him that he nips before straightening his arm to plank above you. He stares down at you with lust-blown eyes as he takes your leg from under the sheets to rest on his shoulder. You bite your lip and grapple for his neck as he fucks into you slowly, hips rolling with deft, meaningful strokes. For a few moments he fucks you like that, reveling in your moans and whimpers, especially when he ducks his head to suck your tits into his mouth.
“Missed you, Yoon,” you whisper suddenly, blissed out and slack-jawed. He pauses his thrusts to put your leg back in place before dropping down to grab your hands and curl them under his, tongue licking roughly over the top of your mouth. Your chest heaves, breathing him in while he sucks on your lips and tongue.
“Missed you too, doll." His hips resume to a slow rhythm, and you let out a soft cry at the sensation of him filling you up to the brim despite never leaving.
You struggle to kiss him back as you get lost in the clouds again now that he’s rocking into you at a slower pace, pressing deeply into you so you can feel every inch of each other with every stroke.
“So fucking good for me,” he grumbles into your mouth, building rhythm as he brings himself to peak.
“Wanna be,” you slur.
“Hm?” His tongue pokes out as he focuses on rolling his hips against a tight, cushioned spot that kisses his tip and draws his orgasm closer.
“Wanna be so good for you. Always.” He grins, pride swelling his chest at your promise.
“Not for Hoseok?” Because he has to make sure.
“No,” you whimper, yanking at his chain to bring him down in a messy kiss. “Just you.”
He kisses you with a relieved smile, bites at your neck a few times, and slaps your hip.
“Then get up and ride me. I shouldn’t be doing all this fucking work,” he commands and slips out before pulling you up by the elbows. He crawls around you to sit against the headboard while you turn to face him and prop yourself up on shaking knees.
Noticing this, he pauses and holds you still. “Can you?”
“Mhmm,” you nod, confirming it with a sloppy kiss.
Grinning, he pulls you forward until you hover over his lap and fists his dick to hold himself in place while his other hand pushes you down by your hip. You grip his shoulders and whine as you sink onto him, waiting until you’re fully breached to start circling your hips. As you lean in to lick between his teeth, you rake your fingers down his chest, lightly scratching over his nipples and smiling when he moans.
“Shit,” he curses against you as you press your thumbs against his buds and he gets you back by attacking your neck with bites and bruises that you’ll have for days. You begin rolling in his lap and hold onto his shoulders for leverage, gasping when he wraps his arm across your waist to pull you closer so your breasts are right in his face and he attaches his mouth to one, leaning back on his hand to hold himself up.
He releases your tit with a pop and tilts his head to watch in content as your knees move to prop yourself up so you can bounce on his dick, appreciating his hand on your ass supporting and guiding you.
“Fuck, doll. Yeah, just like that,” He moans and breaks from your lips to throw his head back as his balls tighten, and you take your turn to make marks on his neck.
“Nngh, gonna come,” he groans deep in his gut, Adam’s apple bobbing and eyes squeezing shut as you continue to rock against him and it throws him over the edge. He pushes at your hips to force you off of him until you fall back once more on the mattress as he pulls out with a gasp. He growls and grunts as thick ropes of hot cum shoot out over your stomach and tits and you moan at the feeling and the sounds he makes.
“Goddamn,” he wheezes, jerking his dick through the final pulses of his orgasm and he grips your thigh to keep himself grounded. When his dick stops twitching, he falls back over to kiss you roughly.
“Close,” you tell him against his lips and he curses.
“Fuck, okay.” Anticipating being overstimulated but wanting nothing more than to satisfy you, he sits on his heels, pulls your hips onto his thighs and waits for your nod for him to plunge back in.
He wastes no time rutting into the very spot that he knows will guarantee you to come fast and hard. He has to bite his bottom lip to keep from whining at the overstimulation. But it proves fruitless when you pulse your orgasm around his dick, squeezing him so tight, that he starts to come again, encouraged by your endless moans of his name. He manages to keep his release at bay until he feels your wave wash back and yanks himself out at the last second so that he doesn’t give into temptation and come inside you. That level is on the horizon, but neither of you are quite ready for that. He knows just how addictive that will be and it’s too much of a risk.
So he opts to come on your stomach and chest for a second time, not bothering to jerk himself through it and just lets his cock bob on your center as he returns to his place above you. You open your mouth to welcome him before he even lands his fists beside your head.
“Fuck, I love you so much,” he breathes over you, ducking his head into your neck so he can hear you whisper the same.
Dick softening on your lower stomach, he kisses you until his biceps strain under his weight.
“You feeling okay?” He asks, sitting back on his heels and smiling warmly (proudly) at your fucked out expression.
He presses his hands on your hips, heart racing when you won’t stop staring at him and he has to look away to prevent a rise in blood pressure, instead staring at all of his cum spread over you.
He looks back up when he catches your hand reaching for him and he grabs it, wrapping his fingers around your knuckles and bringing it to his lips to kiss your palm, eyes never leaving yours.
“What?” He asks as you pout. He kisses the inside of your wrist and you sigh, let his lips linger there and your heart stops for a moment at his tenderness.
With a smile and one more kiss on the back of your hand, he gets up and grabs a pair of sweatpants on the way to the bathroom, running a washcloth under warm water and wringing it out lightly before bringing it back to you to clean up his mess.
A moment later, he watches you with wide eyes as you slide out of bed and head to the bathroom without a word, albeit with a noticeable wobble. He sighs when the door shuts, getting the feeling that fucking the shit out of each other just now did nothing to solve your problems. While he waits for you to come back out, he strips the bed of soiled sheets to take out to the washer in the hallway closet. Just as he starts the cycle, you emerge from the bathroom, arms crossed over your breasts as you scurry into the bedroom to dress into his hoodie and a pair of his hoochie daddy shorts. You keep your head down while you walk past him for the kitchen, but he catches you with an arm pressed into your abdomen.
“Hey,” he murmurs above your head. “Whatever you’re thinking, you can tell me.”
You nod against his bicep, slipping your hand down to his fingers and tangling them together to lead him into the kitchen. He doesn’t take his hands off of you while you maneuver around to retrieve glasses of water for you both, but you end up just sharing yours. Neither of you say anything for a moment after you refresh yourselves. Then, his knuckles under your chin bring your face level with his, away from staring into the void behind his shoulder.
“The sex was good in there, but it didn’t resolve anything,” he reminds you softly. “We should talk it out before you get too far into your head.”
Fuck. He knows you so well. With a sigh and a blurry waterline, you lean against him, head resting on his shoulder so he doesn’t see.
“I just really missed you,” you start in a small voice. On your temple, he frowns. “And I know it’s kind of pathetic because we live together and you were only gone for three days but I just wish you would make up your mind about coming home or not. It’s just frustrating when you say you’ll be done in a couple hours but it turns out to be five. Or I wait up for you just for you to tell me you’re staying overnight. I know how important your work is, especially when you have a deadline, and I never want to take you away from it, but sometimes it feels like when I tell you to take a break, you act as if I’m asking you to stop altogether. I’m just trying to make sure you eat and rest properly so you don’t burn yourself out and get sick.” Your voice chokes the more you admit, and he lets your words hang in the air before rubbing his hand across the back of your shoulders. Resting his head on yours, he takes a deep breath.
“I love how supportive you are of my job and how much you worry about me, but I’m sorry I make you feel neglected. That’s never my intention.” You hum in acknowledgement and he squeezes the back of your neck.
“I mean, I’m not trying to dig myself out of the hole here, but a lot of the time when I come to a dead end with a project and feel like giving up, I think about you and how the faster I get done, the faster I can come home and devote all of my time to you.” You can’t hold back a sniffle. He frowns and gently pulls you by your shoulder and waist to press your fronts together. You wrap your arms around him and bury your face in his chest, along with your tears.
“I’m so sorry I made you upset, baby,” he whispers, his own voice choked up. “I just get stuck sometimes and it’s hard for me to give it a rest. Thank you for loving me so well that you knew when I needed you to come drag me out. And three days is way too long to not he home. I’m sorry I made you feel like it wasn’t.” You swallow a sob and hold him tighter.
“Well, I’m sorry I made you think I wanted Hoseok to fuck me.”
His nostrils flare with a small laugh. “I know you were just trying to piss me off. But I don’t know if I want us to make each other jealous by doing that anymore, y’know?”
You nod in quick understanding and he purrs gratefully, lifts a hand to gently tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear.
“Because I guess sometimes I just worry that you could do better.”
Your limbs freeze as his words sink in and spreads your blood thin. Placing your hands on his hips, you lean away to look right at him, eyebrows furrowing at his pained smile.
“That has to be the stupidest fucking thing you’ve ever said.” Chewing the inside of his cheek, he suppresses a laugh.
“I’m serious.” You reach up to cup his jaw. “Don’t tell yourself that. I love you. You’re it for me, Yoongi.”
Starlight fills his eyes as he gazes down into your soul. He hugs you tightly, and whispers those same three words back, all of the weight he’s ever carried lifting off of his shoulders now that you’ve solidified that you’re his forever.
“I’m gonna do better to not spend so much time at the studio,” he promises, fingertips massaging the back of your head.
“Maybe just limit your overnighters to once a week.” He smiles, leans in to kiss you, hearts feeling warm and full. “I can work with that. And next time you want to blow me at work, try not to do it when one of my colleagues is in there.”
“Fine,” you sigh in exaggeration. “But at least admit that you liked it.”
“I don’t have to answer that.”
“Why not?” you challenge playfully. “It was a one time thing, so the least you can do is-” He cuts you off with a kiss that wipes your brain clear of any thoughts.
“You were saying?” he mumbles against your lips with a knowing smirk.
“Fuck if I know,” you breathe and he chuckles.
Leaning back in, he kisses you slowly, thoughtfully for a few moments, then breaks away with eyes hazed with love and boops your nose.
“Why don’t we go shower and get dressed so I can take you out on a date, hm? We’ll go wherever you’d like.”
A bright and wide smile on your face, you tangle both of your hands together and lean up to kiss him. He melts into you and your heart glows as radiant as the rising sun. You break, and your cheeks burn when you notice how his have turned a noticeable shade of pink.
“Let’s both decide on a place. But maybe tomorrow or the day after when I can walk a little better.” He grins and kisses your forehead, softly pats your ass.
“Sounds good to me.”

A smile was spread across Evan’s face, even his eyes were smiling, he had this kind of sparkle in his eyes that made him look like a little boy in a toy shop. His eyes were locked onto his girlfriend, who was just arriving on scene in the ambulance.
Since the factory fire and the incident happened on the scene, Bobby had made the choice to put (Y/n) on light duties. Not only because she had a heart attack that day, but also because she was pregnant. And with light duties they meant: (Y/n) would switch places with Chimney.
Chimney usually would be Hen’s partner, helping her with victims and treating them. But now that she couldn’t risk doing heavy lifting, and running into burning buildings, they had no other choice but to switch.
She would be further away from the action, the work she loved the most and she may only know the basics, but she would learn during the process. But at least she could still work and make herself helpful on scene.
“If it isn’t my favorite temporary paramedic” (Y/n) could hear the oh so familiar voice say as it came closer with every word. She smiled and shut the passenger door with a bang. She turned around and walked towards the back of the ambulance, as her eyes slowly wandered from the ground to Evan walking towards her.
“Really? You just had to put that word in front of it, did you?” she laughed as she felt his arm slowly being placed onto her shoulder.
“What? I meant it in the way that you’re coming back to truck, eventually.” He said. But when he didn’t receive an answer he tried to talk it right, again. “I mean after you give birth to our mini (Y/n) of course.” he continued, and pressed a small, but warm kiss onto the side of her head.
(Y/n) opened the backdoors of the ambulance and she broke free from Evan’s arm around her shoulder, and stepped inside of the ambulance. “How are you so sure that we’re getting a daughter anyways? Maybe it’s a mini Buck” (Y/n) said as she got a pair of blue gloves out of a box.
“I googled for signs you’re having a girl. And a lot of those things they said are things you have or had.” Evan says as he quickly slipped out his phone and started scrolling and showing (Y/n) the website. In the meanwhile (Y/n) was busy putting everything she needed on the gurney.
“Like here, you suffered morning sickness during the first twelve weeks. You had that. And oh here, you’re craving more sweets..” he was rattled. He was so enthusiastic, he couldn’t hear her. “Buck..” she said in a warning tone. “And another one is, You’re more moody.” But suddenly he stopped, he saw the way (Y/n) looked at him and shook her head.
“I’m sorry.. It’s just.. I just know we’re getting a girl! I can feel it.” Evan says with a smile on his face, it looked like he just won the lottery. He felt a little guilty for calling her moody, but those were just the facts. But that wasn’t the reason she called his name with that tone.
“You know what I can feel? You, being up on that aerial in a minute.” Bobby’s voice spoke, the lottery winning expression on his face disappeared within less than one second as he could hear his captain's voice in his ears.
Evan closed his eyes for a second as he let his lips form a thin line.
Busted.
”What are you chit chatting for? There’s a building on fire and a man stuck on his balcony. Let’s go!” Bobby said as he clapped his hands together.
He collected all his confidence and turned around. “On it cap!” Buck said as he started to jog towards the truck. But stopped as soon as he took two steps, and turned on his heels again. He ran back towards the rig and he stepped in the ambulance. “I forgot something” he said and pressed a kiss onto her cheek as she placed another medic bag on the gurney.
His lips disconnected from her cheek as he now, carefully stepped out of the back of the ambulance and ran towards the truck. The aerial was already being sent up towards the right balcony where the man was waving.
“What did he need?” Hen said as soon as she appeared in the opening of the ambulance. “Oh you know, he keeps telling me we’re having a girl” she said as she shrugged her shoulders. It was something she was used to now. From the moment she told him she was pregnant, he told her he was sure she was having a girl.
“He’s holding on to that huh?” Hen laughed. (Y/n) nodded, as they rolled out the gurney. Hen pushed the button to make the legs of the gurney extend and to touch the ground. “You have no idea” (Y/n) spoke and hopped out of the ambulance.
Hen started to wheel the gurney towards the triage as (Y/n) quickly closed the back doors, and jogged to catch up with Hen.
“I’m here and ready to go!” Evan said as soon as his legs stopped moving and he grabbed his helmet out of the compartment. “Are you sure? I can go up too.” Eddie said.
“Nah you went last time, and I’m pretty sure Cap will kill me if I’m not on that ladder in a few seconds.” Evan said with a laugh. Eddie nodded at his answer, and made a gesture with his arm to tell him that it’s all his.
Evan placed his helmet onto his head and patted it. He made his way up the roof of the truck and he started to climb up the aerial. After a few steps he gestured towards Eddie, who was at the panel to move the aerial if he needed to, to move the aerial a little more up. “A little higher Eddie” he spoke through the radio as he made the gesture. “Copy that, raising the aerial” Eddie copied through his radio.
He held onto the two railings to the side as Eddie moved the aerial a little higher. He made a fist, as soon as it was the same height as the balcony of the man. “That’s good Eddie, going to the victim now” Evan spoke into his radio and let go of the speak button.
“LAFD, hold on sir. I’m coming to you.” he said as loud as he could, to make himself audible for the man on the balcony. He holds his hand out, with a flat hand, trying to gesture to the man to tell him to keep calm.
The man on the balcony couldn’t get out by the rescue squad since the hallway of his level was completely on fire. There was no getting through, so they sent the aerial up, including Evan.
He was a few steps from helping the man on the balcony as he heard a loud bang echoing through the skies.
(Y/n) gets pushed down by her shoulder as soon as she hears the bang through the air. “Firefighter down! I repeat, firefighter down!” her brother’s voice roared through the radio. Her stomach turned as she heard Eddie’s voice ringing through her ears. His voice was full with agony, terrified.
“Buck..” she mumbled as she locked eyes on the aerial and saw him lying flat onto the ladder. Without thinking, she stood up straight and wanted to make her way towards the truck. But after not even three steps, an arm stopped her in her tracks. “Are you insane! You’re staying here!” Bobby said as he held an arm in front of her body. Telling her not to go any further.
“With all due respect, the father of my baby is up there. Injured. You can’t just expect me to stand here and do nothing.” (Y/n) hissed back at Bobby.
Evan’s vision was blurry, a force sent him forward, causing him to slip and slide a few steps down. But his hand was right now holding one of the steps. A torturing pain was burning in Evan’s chest, but the adrenaline made the pain bearable.
He was lying flat onto the aerial, holding on as his feet were blindly searching for steps to give his chest some rest. As soon as his feet found one of the steps of the ladder, he looked up to the balcony, which was now further away than he was a few seconds ago.
His eyes locked with the man’s eyes who was standing on the balcony. But not even two seconds later, Evan saw a bullet flying through the man’s head. Causing him to fall.
A man was shot through his head, right in front of his eyes.
His ears were ringing, he could hear his own heart beating like it was trying to break free from his chest and his breathing was zooming through his ears. Everything around him sounded dull. As if he was wearing headphones without any music.
He could hear muffled screams, people telling others what to do, just pure panic.
Evan wanted to move from the aerial. But he couldn’t move. The only thing he could do was lie flat onto the aerial ladder and watch at the now empty space where the man was just a few seconds ago. He was zoned out, gawking. He needed his mind and body to catch up with whatever was going on.
“Come on.. Come on..” (Y/n) murmured as she watched her brother climbing the ladder, trying to assist Buck down. When she sees Eddie reaching the top of the ladder truck, pushes past Bobby, whose arm was down again, not blocking her way anymore.
She quickly runs towards a gurney which was not being used, and runs towards the side of the truck where other firefighters were helping Eddie to escort Buck down to the ground.
He carefully gets put onto the gurney, as she quickly grabs his hand and squeezes it. His eyes were closed. She was praying, please don't make her do chest compressions on him. “Buck, can you hear me?” she sounded as Hen carried a medic bag and got out the scissors, to cut open the fabric that was covering his chest. “Buck!” her voice was trembling, filled with adrenaline and fear.
But then his eyes started to flutter open. “Are…are you hurt?” he stumbled in a whisper. He was fighting to keep his eyes open. “What? No.. No.. I’m fine” she answered, he got hurt and this is the first thing he’d ask her? (Y/n) brought his hand closer to her and pressed her lips on the top of his hand. Telling him she was there, with him.
She could see Evan’s eyes rolling. “I know you’re tired. But I need you to hold on. Stay with me!” She said as she placed his hand next to his body onto the gurney. “No exit wound, the bullet is still in there.” She concluded as she pushed him up a little. Hen reached out and passed (Y/n) gauze, to keep pressure on the wound.
Hen put the medic bag onto the gurney between Evan’s legs. (Y/n) stepped onto a metal beam from the gurney, to be steady enough to keep pressure on the GSW. They rushed the gurney towards the ambulance as (Y/n) kept the pressure firmly on the wound.
The gauze she was holding onto the wound was becoming soaking wet with his blood. With one hand she kept the pressure on as she found a new package of gauze. With her mouth she ripped off the top of the package and got out the new piece. She was sure she let the package fly somewhere on scene. But that didn’t matter right now.
She felt Evan’s hand touching her arm, slightly. His grip went looser, and looser. Until his hand wasn’t holding her arm any more and started to fall down onto the gurney again. “Buck?” She called out his name. She noticed his eyes rolling to the back of his head. “He’s losing too much blood! We’re losing him!” She said, or actually kind of screamed.
(Y/n) pressed her fingers against his neck, as she tried to find a pulse. She felt a lump in her throat. Her heart was beating so fast, it was like she ran a marathon and it was getting harder for her to breathe. “I can’t feel a pulse!” She yelled. “Hen, I need you to keep pressure on the wound” she ordered.
Just as those words fell off her lips, they stopped at the back of the ambulance. (Y/n) didn’t even think for a slight second, she just threw her leg onto the gurney as she sat on top of him. She intertwined her left and right hand over one another, and started chest compressions.
She knew she shouldn’t be treating Evan. She was too close to the firefighter, but so were the rest of the team…And sure they could argue with her, but they already knew she was going to tell them the exact same thing. You’re family too.
The gurney got wheeled into the ambulance as (Y/n) was pressing the palm of her hand against her boyfriend's chest, trying to get his heartbeat back. “Come on, don't leave me like this!” she cried as she pushed with every bit of energy she had left in her arms.
It looked like an addiction, giving him chest compressions. She wanted him to come back so badly, she didn’t see what was happening to herself. She was losing herself.
“You’re not leaving, you hear me?” she sobbed as she felt the tears falling off her cheeks, down onto his revealed chest. ”You’re meeting your baby girl which you’re so convinced we’re having.” she continued. With every push she felt the energy being sucked out of her arms. But she needed to keep on going. She wasn’t stopping until he was back.
“She needs her father!” She cried out.
After dozens, maybe hundreds of chest compressions, the longest five minutes of her life came to an end. The ambulance pulled to a stop, as (Y/n) kept on going. She didn’t even feel them wheeling the gurney out of the ambulance. She was too focussed, too desperate to get him back.
“(Y/n)” Eddie said as he touched her arm, which she yanked away. “Diaz” Bobby said with a warning tone. But it was like no one was getting through. Like she had turned off her hearing. Like she was in her own world.
“Eddie take the otherside” Bobby ordered (Y/n)'s brother. He didn’t have a choice. Bobby’s hands and Eddie’s curled around her upper arm as they pulled (y/n) from the gurney. It was the only way..
“No!” she screamed on the top of her lungs, like she was being murdered. “I need to save him!” She sobbed. She didn’t even have the energy to stand on her own two legs, she had put all her energy into chest compressions. It was like she turned into some kind of monster.
All she wanted was to save him, like he saved her, countless times. And now it was time for her to save him.
(Y/n)’s body bungled in between Bobby and Eddie. When her knees touched the ground of the hospital ER, she fully broke down. She felt like she failed him. Why wouldn’t his heartbeat come back?
-
With her arms curled around her knees, she was sitting in the waiting room, on one of those shitty hospital chairs. She may be sitting there physically, but if you looked at her, it was almost like you were looking at a ghost. She was broken. She had lost her spark. Which is not really that weird after seeing your boyfriend being shot, and you tried for minutes to get him back to the world of the living.
(Y/n) was looking outside, seeing countless ambulances stopping and dropping off patients while the rain ticked against the glass window. Her stomach was hurting, probably because she didn’t eat for hours now. It would go away eventually, she figured. And her lower back was killing her, probably because of the way she was sitting for an hour straight. But it was the only position that was kinda comfortable.
“Here” her captain’s voice filled her ears. Her eyes followed his voice and found Bobby who was holding a cup of water. Since she was pregnant she couldn’t drink more than one cup of coffee, or rather no coffee at all.
She turned her head away from Bobby and continued to look outside of the window. “I’m not thirsty” she said coldly. She could hear Bobby let out a small sigh, as he took place in the chair next to her and placed the cup of water on the small table in front of them.
“You went all out there, didn’t you?” Bobby said as he gave her a few seconds of silence. She slightly shook her head, leaving a silence. “And yet…” she started, biting her upper lip to try and suppress her cry. ”I still have the feeling I failed.” she continued as her eyes began to water again.
“I couldn’t get him back Bobby, I tried. Maybe if I-” (Y/n) couldn’t finish her sentence or Bobby interrupted her. “Don’t do that. Don’t think about the things you could’ve done differently or didn’t do.” he said, as he looked to the side, trying to catch her eye. “What I do know is: that you kept him alive until we wheeled him in here.” he continued as he saw her press the palm of her hand onto her forehead.
“But that’s-” she stumbled, as she realized the words Bobby just said. “Wait. Did you just say.. Is he..” Bobby stayed silent as he slightly nodded his head. “Alive” he finished her sentence for her. “He’s getting prepped for the OR” he continued.
She pressed her eyes closed as she let out a relieved sigh. A tear escaped through the corner of her eye as she just tried to catch her breath. (Y/n) felt a warm touch on her knee. A small huffled breath broke free from her mouth as she tried to keep it together.
Bobby let her cry, for a few minutes, giving her the time she needed to let this news land. Until his voice broke the silence. “Listen.. why don’t you go home, and try to get some sleep. So you’ll be here when he wakes up from surgery” He suggests. She wanted to tell him no. She wanted to tell Bobby that she wasn’t able to sleep anyway. But her body was exhausted, and staying here would only give her more pain. Her body was telling her to take a break, there was this annoying pain creeping in on her lower back and her stomach was starting to scream even more.
“I don’t even have a car Bobby” she tried to use as an excuse. She didn’t care if she was in pain, she needed Evan to be fine. And the only way to know as one of the first persons if he was okay, was by staying here. In the hospital waiting room. “The ambulance is out of service, I can ask Eddie to bring you home.” her captain suggests. He looked her in the eye for a response, which was a small nod. “That would be nice.” she whispered. Bobby’s lips pressed into a thin line as he tried to send her some kind of smile. “Okay, I’ll be back in a minute.” he continued as he received her answer.
Secretly she hoped that the ambulance wouldn’t be here anymore, or that somehow they runned out of gas. But she knew that would be a long shot. (Y/n) let her eyes follow the raindrop on the window, trying to kill time. As she could hear the ribs of Evan snap in the back of her mind, bringing her thoughts back to the part where she was doing CPR.
“I can’t feel a pulse!”
“Come on! Come on! Don’t leave me like this!”
“You’re not leaving!”
“She needs her father!”
Her body flinched at the sudden touch on her shoulder, she yanked her head to her side to see who was touching her shoulder. “Sorry, I didn’t want to startle you” her brother’s voice said. She quickly wiped her tears away with the sleeve of her shirt. “It’s okay” she said, which sounded more like a whisper. “You ready?” he asked her, as he held out a hand in front of her. She looked at his hand as if she didn’t know what to do with it for a second, but nodded. “Yes” her voice spoke softly. She loosened her arms around her knees, which were still against her chest.
She accepted Eddie’s hand, and stood up from her chair. Her brother grabbed her turnout coat from the chair she was sitting on, and led her towards the exit of the ER.
She hated it. It felt like a walk of shame, even though she knew it wasn’t. Every single person in the room was watching her. It made her feel so little.
(Y/n) stopped in her tracks towards the exit, as she spotted Bobby with his cup of coffee in his hand. “Please, promise me you will call me. I don’t care if it’s in the middle of the night or while I'm on the damn toilet. You call me, okay?” she told her captain. He placed his hand on her upper arm and gave it a slight squeeze. “I promise.” he said, “Take care of yourself okay?” he continued. She tried to send him a smile, but it’s hard to smile if you can’t find anything positive in the moment. She turned away from her captain and followed her brother outside to the ambulance.
______
The car ride was silent.
She didn’t feel like talking. She was just staring deadly out of the passenger's side window most of the ride. (Y/n) could feel Eddie’s gaze, burning into the side of her head. Constantly checking in on her.
“He’s going to be fine (y/n). I mean it’s Buck.. He pulls these kinds of stunts all the time.” Eddie’s soothing voice filled her ears. She turned her head towards her brother while she leaned her head back against the headrest of the seat. “I know.. But this time it just feels.. different” she stumbles.
“You’re scared to lose him, I get it.” Eddie said.
“You know, I always make up those kinds of scenarios.” She started as her fingers were beginning to pick the dead skin off her fingers.
“What could happen on a call... I always imagined he could die because he’s surrounded by a fire and can’t get out, or he runs out of air in his oxygen tank or hell he falls through a roof while venting a building. Thousands of scenarios in my head, but none of them involved him getting shot on scene.” her voice continued as she looked down at her fingers.
Eddie doesn’t have the words to answer that. So he decides that it’s best for him to stay silent, and give her the time to express herself as he drives to her apartment.
“So yes, I am scared of losing him. I’ve always been scared to lose him. But this time it feels different because I’m pregnant. And he would not only be leaving me. But also…” she reaches out to her lower part of her belly. “this tiny human” she sighs as she lightly touches her stomach.
A silence took over the room. Eddie was already relieved that his sister was actually talking. Something she didn’t do for hours in that waiting room. He noticed her looking outside most of the time. But he figured it would be best for her there and then to have some alone time.
Her hands wandered back to her lap. “God, he wants to be a dad so badly..” she sniffed as a small smile appeared on her face. “This morning before this.. everything. He told me he knew for sure that we were having a girl.” She continued. She could see his perfect smile and the enthusiasm taking over.
She stopped talking as she noticed how she was starting to rattle. She looked in front of her, as she evaluated what happened in this moment. “I’m sorry. I don’t even know why I’m telling you all of this..” she sighs as she shakes her head.
“No, don't be (y/n). Look, a lot has happened today and you just needed to vent. And that’s okay.” Eddie says as he turns the steering wheel, as he drives into her street. “You’re my sister, and I want you to feel safe, to feel like you can tell me everything.” He continued as he quickly looked at her and his head went back to the road.
A moment of silence fell, but Eddie decided to break the short silence, to try and make the conversation a little lighter. “To be honest, Buck already has a lot of practice with parenting since he adores Chris. So you don’t have anything to worry about.” He says as he glanced a smile at her.
A small smile and grin fell off her lips, as the ambulance pulled to a stop. “Your destination ma’am” he smiled as he put the handbrake on.
“Thanks Eds” she stumbled as she looked out of her window to the door of the apartment building. Her hand was placed on the door handle, ready to pull it.
But then she let go of the handle and quickly turned her body around.
Her arms locked themselves around Eddie's neck, pulling her brother close to her body. He was surprised by the sudden hug by his sister but he didn’t pull back.
She squeezed her eyes closed as she felt Eddie’s arms lock around her back and his hand calmly stroke over the back of her head. This is what she needed after this entire day. A hug.
After she stepped into the dark, empty apartment she let out a sigh.
Everything in here was just another reminder of Evan. She could go anywhere and somehow everything leads back to him.
She shook off her thoughts that wandered back to her significant other, and she flicked on the light switch next to the front door.
Just before she got out of the car, Eddie reminded her to drink and eat something. She told him she was going to be okay, but her thoughts were anywhere but food.
Her boyfriend was in the hospital fighting for his life, and she was back in their apartment trying to get some sleep she knew she wouldn’t and couldn’t get.
(Y/n) walked towards the fridge, but suddenly stopped as the annoying pain began to feel like a sudden stab in the stomach. “What the hell?” She mumbled, as she pressed the palm of her hand onto the core where the pain came from. With her body slightly hanging forward, she remained in the position for a few seconds. Waiting for the pain to stop.
She let out a shallow breath, slowly, emptying her lungs completely. Just as she wanted to continue her steps, she abruptly stopped again as she tried to hum away the pain she felt.
What was happening to her?
(Y/n) groaned at the pain she felt over and over again. It felt like the kind of pain she felt during her period, only ten times worse. As if some kind of war between her intestines was taking place in her abdomen.
With every few minutes, the pain was becoming worse and worse. She decided maybe it was for the best if she lied down on bed. Sometimes it would ease the pain if she was on her period, and since this pain felt the closest to that, she figured maybe that would help.
Every body movement she made, she felt like she was going to break. Not emotionally, but her body. It felt so tense and heavy, and she didn’t want to make it worse. So it took her longer than normally to make it up to the loft where the bed was placed.
She threw her phone on the bed as she laid down onto her side, curling her knees and legs as close to her stomach to try and get rid of the stabbing pain inside. Her arms were locked around her knees and legs, and with every shot of pain she pulled her arms tighter and tighter to try and relieve the pain.
She closed her eyes, trying to keep herself calm as the pain went on and on.
(Y/n)’s eyes shot open as an unbearable shocking pain went through her body. She was in pain, she was scared, she didn’t know what was happening to her, she was scared of the unknown. Tears were creating themselves in her eyes as the stabbing pain was becoming only worse and worse.
She huffed away a lot of the pains, trying to stay calm. But she couldn’t stay calm. She was all alone, while she waited for the torture to come to an end. Which felt like it never would.
Her eyes fell onto the phone on the other side of the bed. She really didn’t want to call her colleagues. They had enough on their mind. Even though they told her to call if something was wrong or she needed someone to talk to.
A sob left her mouth as her hand reached out for her phone, as soon as she got a hold of her phone, her finger hovered over the contacts. Who was she calling? She needed medical advice.
Eddie. Her brother. He was a medic too. He didn’t know as much as Hen or Chimney, but It’ll do.
Her hand tapped onto the contact of her brother, as she laid the phone next to her head. But just as the phone was ringing Eddie, another shock hit her body. She tightened the muscles in her abdomen to get rid of the pain as she turned her head towards her shoulder, trying to suppress the pain.
“(Y/n)? What’s wrong?” Eddie’s calm voice sounded through the speaker of the phone as he picked up the phone. She couldn’t talk, the pain was too much to handle.
Another shallow breath left her lips as she tried to breath away the pain, which resolved in a soft cry out of the pain. “Eddie” she sobbed softly through the phone, hoping he could hear her voice. “Something is wrong” she continued as another cry escaped her lips.
“I’m coming your way okay? Just, hang on.” Eddie says, you could just hear the fear in his voice. “Hurry” she cried out. And with that, the call gets cut off.
Eddie always had a spare key of (Y/n) and Buck’s apartment on him in case of an emergency. He never had to use it, until today.
“(Y/n)?” Eddie’s concerned voice filled the apartment. (Y/n) could hear his quick footsteps tapping over the floor downstairs. She wanted to call out, but didn’t have the energy for it. The only thing she could do is breathe the pain away, and find the most comfortable position (if that was possible).
Multiple times her name fell off Eddie’s lips. The footsteps went up the stairs, as his eyes locked on his sister. Lying in bed, as little as possible. “(Y/n)! Que pasó?” he asks, as he got on his knees next to the other side of the bed, trying to make eye contact with his sister.
The way she squeezed her eyes and the tears streaming down her face told him enough.
“Can you describe the pain you’re experiencing? ” he asks, as he places his hand onto her arm, trying to hush and give her some kind of comfort.
“It’s like someone is stabbing my intestines with a knife and just keeps twisting and pushing it” she groaned at the pain. It took her a while to get through that sentence. “Okay, and is this pain constantly?” He asks her calmly as he takes some time to think.
She shook her head before he could finish his sentence. “Waves” she stumbled as another shock of pain hit her stomach.
“I… I just… I-” she stumbled. “Feel like.. I’m going to die” she tried to finish her sentence while she pushed her arms tighter against her stomach, trying to get rid of the pain.
Eddie’s eyes grew slightly wider as he puzzled the pieces together and realized which way this was going. “(Y/n).. how long have you been experiencing these pains?” He calmly asks, trying to keep himself together. “Since this after-” she stopped mid sentence as she squeezed her eyes closed. “noon” she let out a breath.
“At dios mío… (Y/n).. why didn’t you tell me this sooner?” Eddie sighed. “I didn’t think anything of it” she said as she pressed her arms tighter around her stomach again. Another heavy breath left her lips, as she tried catching her breath. “I figured it was just because of the situation.” she continued.
Eddie collected all his courage. ”(Y/n).. I think you know what’s happening to you.” He says as he just looked at her. Their eyes connected, as she waited for his answer with a spark of hope in her eyes. “You’re having a miscarriage, (Y/n)”
The words she didn’t want to hear, were actually spoken.
She thought about it, but she didn’t want to believe it. Secretly, deep down, she hoped Eddie would tell her there was something else wrong, that her appendix was about to burst or that somehow she had extremely bad food poisoning.
“You see, the pain you’re describing and feeling are contractions.” He explained.
Her eyes grew wide as the diagnosis fell off his lips. Her eyes wandered from her brother, to the empty space next to him. Everything around her was sounding dull as if every sound was filtered out. “No..” she mumbled, as a tear escaped from the corner of her eye. “I’m so sorry (Y/n)” Eddie’s voice echoed in the back of her mind, as he placed his hand onto her upper arm.
Eddie reached out and touched her upper arm with his hand, her gaze slowly wandered back to his. He couldn’t handle seeing her like this. “C’me here” he murmured, trying to keep himself strong. He got on the bed and pulled her in an embrace, locking his arms around her.
Quiet sobs were being released from (Y/n)’s mouth against his shoulder. There she was, rolled together as a ball, being comforted by her brother because she’s about to lose her baby.
This was Evan’s reason to make it back home. Their little family. Which he was so excited about. And she’s about to lose it. Their child. Their son. Their daughter.
______
(Y/n) peeked around the doorframe of the hospital room she was in. She had given birth to the miscarriage, but just to be sure there was nothing else going on Eddie had brought her to the ER.
Since she was a lower priority, she had been sitting there for minutes which felt like a lifetime. It felt like there wasn't an end to this day. Her eyes were heavy, she wanted to sleep so badly, but after everything that happened in these past hours she just couldn’t.
She was a mess, and looked like a walking corpse, as if she came right out of a scene of the walking dead. But with a hospital gown on.
(Y/n) figured it would take a few more minutes or hours for the obstetrician to come back. So since she was in the hospital, she could maybe make the best of it and make a visit to her boyfriend.
Her eyes scanned the hallway if the obstetrician came back or not.
Clear.
She stepped out of the room and grabbed with her right hand tightly the rail on the side of the wall. Her legs were feeling like they could cave in literally any moment, but she needed to find Buck. She didn’t care if she even had to crawl her way back to him. She was going to find him.
After taking multiple random choices of routes, and following signs, she found Eddie in front of a window. Looking like some kind of lost boy, staring into the window.
(Y/n)’s feet trembled as she took place next to Eddie, following his gaze. But as soon as Eddie sensed someone standing next to him, he looked to his side. “What are you doing here? I thought you had an appointment with your obstetrician?” He said confused.
“She had a higher priority call. It could take her minutes, maybe hours to come back.” she said as she just looked at Buck through the window.
He was just lying there, completely still, connected to a thousand different wires and machines.
Eddie’s eyes wandered back to Buck’s body on the hospital bed. The two siblings just stood there, staring in silence for a moment.
“Has he woken up yet?” She broke the silence. Eddie sighed “Uh.. no not yet. They’re waiting for him to wake up from the anesthesia, which could be any moment now." He answered her question.
Another silence hit the conversation.
“I’m sorry” Eddie says. (Y/n) send him a confused look, “For what?” She reacted, she could sense Eddie was having a hard time with his next sentence. “I should’ve gone up that ladder” he said.
She was lost, what is Eddie talking about? “What?” The four letter word fell off her lips before her head caught up with her mouth. “I was ready to go up that ladder. But Buck.. he insisted.” He stumbled, as he pressed his lips into a thin line, trying to suppress the tears that were fighting their way out of his eyes.
“Eddie..” she sighed. “No. It should’ve been me. That way, this all wouldn’t have happened to you.” he said as he pressed the palms of both his hands down onto the railing (y/n)’s hands were resting on.
“No Eddie.” She started as he placed her left hand onto his right shoulder. ”What I did and felt for Buck when he got shot, it wouldn’t be any different if it was you on that ladder. I would’ve done exactly the same.” she continued. “And if it makes you feel better, I started spotting last week. So all of this would’ve happened anyway. It wouldn’t make a difference if it was you or Buck. So stop blaming yourself.” she ended and squeezed his shoulder.
Eddie quickly wiped away his tears as his eyes wandered back to his sisters. She gave him a small but reassuring smile, telling him it was okay. It felt so easy, talking to her brother about her loss. But she feared that if she walked into that room and talked to Evan, she would shatter into a thousand pieces.
“You gonna be okay?” She asked him quietly. Eddie looked through the window again, and back to (Y/n). He gave her a small nod. (Y/n) let her hand slide off his shoulder as she made her way towards the entrance of the room.
She felt a lump in their throat as she stood in the doorway of the room Buck was in. This was the first time she saw him again, after she got pulled off the gurney she was performing CPR on him. She could just hear her own scream echoing in the back of her mind.
Carefully she let her legs walk her towards the bed as she swallowed, trying to get rid of the lump in her throat.
She took place in the chair which was standing next to the hospital bed. With her bum she sat on the edge of the chair, so she could reach out to his hand.
With her trembling hand she placed her hand on his, carefully touching his IV. She sighed at the sight in front of her. She let her eyes scan his entire body. “Buck?” She whispered quietly, “I need you.” she said, as her voice broke with the last word.
The tear ducts were open once again. Not even a word could get out of her mouth as she sobbed. She placed her left elbow onto the mattress, as she held her hand in front of her eyes. She wanted to hide, to disappear.
She shed so many tears that her head was starting to create a headache behind her eyes. “Just wake up for me..” she mumbled through her sobs.
A soft groan sounded through the room. (Y/n)’s gaze went back to Evan’s face. His eyes were having trouble adjusting to the light, but rolled his head to his left, to get a better look.
“Hi” he whispered as he opened his eyes wider and wider. A smile appeared on her face, through the tears. “Hi” she gasped.
“Do you remember what happened?” She asks him. As she placed both her hands on his. He swallowed loudly, “Got shot.. ” he stumbled as he weakly brought his free hand to his shoulder and touched the packed wound. He hissed at the pain that went through his body as wanted to place his hand on the wound. “Don’t touch it” she warned him as she grabbed his other hand too and placed it where it was.
Another groan fell off his lips. “Are you hurt?” He asks as he weakly points at the hospital gown she was wearing. She followed his finger. “No.. I’m fine” she sighed. “Doesn’t… explain.. hospital gown” he stumbled.
It was like suddenly she didn’t know how to speak anymore. “I’ve got a.. appointment. With the obstetrician.” she said with pain and effort. “I don’t remember.. we had that planned” he whispered. “No, we didn't have it planned.” she sighed as she looked down to the hospital floor.
“So why.. are you seeing the obstetrician?”
“Because I..-” she barely couldn’t get the words out of her mouth. It made her sick. It made her want to scream. To cry.
She was struggling and Evan could see it. He may have just woken up, and gotten shot, but he didn’t forget how to read his girlfriend.
There was no easy way of saying it. She bit her lower lip, as she gathered all her courage. Her hands were starting to sweat and tremble. A sigh left her mouth.
“I’ve… lost the baby Buck.” and just like that, tears were streaming down her face. “I’m sorry” she cries.
“Oh baby…” he sighed. He wanted to reel her in his arms, to kiss her. But he couldn’t. He didn’t have the energy for it, not yet.
A feeling of guilt creeped in Evan. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you” he whispered, as he motioned at her to come closer. She stood up from the chair she was still seated in.
Evan moved to the side, as he made room on the hospital bed. He patted on the side of the bed, as (Y/n) got on the bed, lying on her side, curled up as a ball again. She placed her head on his chest, as Evan pulled a strand of hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.
He pressed his lips on the top of her head. And murmured, “It’s going to be okay.”

Hero
Ingrid Engen x Mapi Leon
Ingrid and Mapi were walking home after a wonderful night out with their friends. The streets were quiet, save for the faint hum of distant traffic and the crunch of fallen leaves beneath their boots. Ingrid's black dress fluttered slightly in the breeze, and Mapi had draped her jacket over her shoulders. They laughed softly, reliving the jokes and stories their friends had shared over dinner.
As they turned onto a dimly lit street, a group of men stumbled out of a nearby bar. They were loud, their words slurred with alcohol, and their attention quickly locked onto Ingrid and Mapi.
"Hey, ladies," one of them drawled, leering. "Looking good tonight. Especially you in that little dress."
Mapi shot them a warning glance, gripping Ingrid's hand a bit tighter, but Ingrid whispered, "Let's just keep walking."
"Don't ignore us, sweetheart", another man said. "We're just trying to be friendly. What's under that dress of yours, huh?"
Ingrid felt her stomach twist, but she kept her gaze forward.
Mapi, however, couldn't help but mutter, "Disgusting pigs," under her breath.
The men didn't take kindly to that.
"What did you say, huh? Got a smart mouth, don't you?" one of them sneered as they started following the pair.
They quickened their pace, but the men wouldn't let up.
"You two look like you could use some real men," another called out. "Bet you've never had someone show you what you're missing."
Mapi's jaw clenched, but Ingrid squeezed her hand. "Ignore them, Maria. Just get home."
But suddenly, one of the men lunged forward, grabbing Ingrid by the arm. His hand slid down to grope her ass, and she let out a sharp gasp.
Mapi didn't hesitate. She shoved the man away with a force that surprised even herself. "Don't you dare touch her!" she snarled, her voice low and dangerous.
The man stumbled back, laughing. "Fucking dykes,' he spat. "What are you gonna do about it?"
Another one stepped forward, his eyes locked on Ingrid. "You just need a man, sweetheart. You'll know what's good for you." His hand reached out again.
This time, Mapi didn't hold back. Her fist connected with his face, a sharp crack echoing through the street. The man staggered, clutching his nose as blood trickled between his fingers.
"Stay the hell away from her!" Mapi growled.
But the man's friend retaliated, grabbing Mapi and shoving her to the ground. Before any of the women could react, the man began kicking and punching Mapi viciously.
"Stop it! Help! Someone help!" Ingrid screamed, her voice breaking as she tried to get the man away from Mapi.
Fortunately, her cries didn't go unnoticed. A small group of passersby rushed to the scene, yelling at the men. Startled, the attackers fled, disappearing into the night.
Mapi groaned, struggling to sit up. Blood trickled from her split lip, and bruises were already forming on her cheek and arms.
"Ingrid," she murmured, trying to focus through the pain. "Are you okay?"
Ingrid's eyes brimmed with tears as she knelt beside her. "You're asking me that? Maria, you're hurt. We need to get you to a hospital."
She called an ambulance, and soon they were at the emergency room. Ingrid refused to leave Mapi's side, holding her hand tightly as doctors cleaned her wounds and confirmed nothing was broken, though she'd be sore for a few days.
Later that night, Alexia arrived, worry etched across her face "What happened?"
Mapi gave a weak grin, despite the swelling "Would you believe, if I would tell you that I tripped and fell?"
"Stop it. That's not funny" Ingrid slapped Mapi's arm and told Alexia what happened.
Alexia sighed, shaking her head. "You should've just walked away, Mapi. Next time, dont be a hero"
Esmee and Frido showed up shortly after, their expressions a mix of concern and relief when they saw Mapi sitting upright in the hospital bed.
The next morning, Mapi posted a selfie on Instagram, her face bruised and battered but her spirit undimmed. The caption read: "You fight for the people you love. 💪"
Ingrid commented almost immediately: "My hero 😇"
The post quickly went viral, with an outpouring of support and outrage from their fans. And while Mapi’s body ached for days, her heart swelled every time Ingrid looked at her with gratitude and love.
Ingrid knew one thing for sure: no matter what, María Pilar León would always have her back.

Young Love Masterlist Summary: Louis and YN welcome their baby into the world.
Warning: childbirth, labour, unexpected home birth, mention of blood
10th of November 2009
In the quiet bedroom, YN laid in the bed still sore and uncomfortable from the trauma her body had been through earlier in the day. She looked down at the sleeping newborn that laid upon her chest. She admired the little one that was equally half of her and half Louis.
The little ones blue eyes were identical to Louis, whilst their little petite nose and lips mirrored YN’s. YN brought her finger up to their cheek, admiring their precious gift.
“I’m the luckiest mummy ever that you chose me”. She spoke to the sleeping baby who was content in her arms. “Me and your dad are gonna give you the best life possible…we’re going to spoil you with love and make so many memories together”. YN could feel the tears begin to form in her eyes because now that she was a mother herself, she couldn’t understand how her family could have treated her in that way.
---
Earlier that day
The third trimester had certainly taken its toll on YN. She was tired to the point that she could come home from college and take a nap, and still go to bed early and sleep all night. Her heightened hormones caused her to snap at anything, big or small. Louis had been walking on eggshells at the inconsistency in her mood swings.
Four days had passed since YN’s due date, but she had tried everything to kick start labour but unfortunately for them nothing worked. The only thing left to do was take a long walk. That morning YN and Louis had walked around Doncaster at least ten times until YN said she was tired and her feet were hurting.
As soon as YN’s body hit their bed, she was fast asleep as she cuddled up to the pillows. After a while Louis had noticed that YN’s body began to tense for a few minutes but then relax again. Seeing as she was still sleeping, he hadn’t thought much about it.
Louis realised he must have dozed off to when he woke up to YN’s scream. The sound was piercing, sacred and terrifying. He shot up from his sleeping position and the sound of YN crying caught his attention.
“Lou…Lou..there-there’s some-something w-wrong”. YN stuttered out the words in between her sobs, her body still almost like she was afraid to move.
Louis gulped heavily, feeling it travel down his throat and into the pit of his stomach. He looked at scene in front of him and his body froze. The bottom half of YN, including the bed sheets, was covered in red. Blood everywhere, something he would never forget the sight of.
“Lou…please…I need help!”. YN broke him from his frozen state, and without saying a word he called for his mum.
Jay came rushing in and although the sight shocked her and caused her to panic, she remained calm and collected on the outside. “Everything’s going to be alright darling okay…Lou go and get loads of towels and blankets”.
“Mum is the baby okay?”. Louis looked for his mother’s reassurance, but Jay gave nothing away and instructed her son to go and get the stuff quickly.
Once Louis had left, Jay moved quickly. “Alright YN, love…am I okay to check what’s going on?”. When YN nodded, shaking with fear, Jay removed the blood stained clothes and gasped. “Oh my…I don’t know how you’re not screaming in more pain…I can see baby’s head!”.
“I feel numb…and weak”. YN admitted, and it was in that moment that Jay realised that an ambulance wouldn’t arrive in time because this little one was on their way.
Louis walked back into the room, folded towels and blankets gathered in his hands, but was more shocked than before because he could see the top of his baby’s head.
“Is..is…is that?”. Louis eyes were as wide and in shock as the could be.
“Yes! That’s the baby’s head…you need to get over here and support YN…you’re about to have a baby!”.
---
The next hour felt like a lifetime. Jay stayed in the same position, watching to make sure her first grandchild was safe coming into the world. Louis was by YN’s side, moving her hair back from her face whenever she pushed through a contraction.
“YN…darling…you’re doing amazing my love…listen to your body and any minute now you’re about to meet your baby”. Jay spoke calmly, as she reached up to give YN’s hand an encouraging squeeze. “You’re doing so well love”.
Louis felt like a spare part, he wanted to take the pain away, he wanted to be the one that was doing all the hard work so YN didn’t have to experience it.
“I’m so proud of you!”. Louis left a gentle peck to her forehead. “You’re so strong…and me and the baby are so lucky to have you”.
YN felt an immense pressure down below, and like Jay had said, she listened to her body and pushed as hard as she could whilst squeezing Louis’ hand.
“AHHHHH!”: She let out an exhausted scream, hoping this would be the last push she needed for her baby to be born and in her arms.
Jay quickly picked up the crying little baby and placed them on their mother’s chest. Louis and YN both had tears in their eyes as they peered down at their newborn.
“I’ve never felt love like this”. Louis spoke into the room as he held the little ones tiny hand.
“She’s beautiful!”. Jay spoke, carefully revealing that they had a daughter.
YN looked up at Jay, tears still soaking her eyes and cheeks. “A little girl?”. With her own tears matching her sons and YN’s she nodded as she soaked them precious moment.
YN and Louis shared a look, knowing they had already chosen both a girl and boy names ready for the birth of their baby. A smile appeared on both of their faces.
“Welcome to the world Mia Rose Tomlinson!”.

okie doke! i was thinking of spencer x fem reader enemies to lovers, a classic scenario of “your enemy gets injured and it’s me you realize how much you actually care for them”. they’re sort of work rivals with him and are also very smart - not nearly as smart, but y’know - and so sometimes they tend to talk over each other or undermine one another. on a case reader doesn’t heed spencer’s warning and it ends up costing her. you can take it from there, im sure what you do will be grrrreat </33
So sorry it took so long x
The BAU were invited to help out on a case in a small town in Maryland. A town usually quiet with rarely any crime, was suddenly plagued by women missing every few weeks.
Everyone split into teams and investigated the areas victims were last seen. The place you and Spencer made your way to was an abandoned house on the north side of the town.
Spencer was someone you rarely got along with and when Hotch told the both of you to team up, it took everything in you to not roll your eyes at your boss or try and argue with him. But you bit your tongue and dragged your feet to the SUV as you and Spencer made the way to the location.
As you arrived at the building, you jumped out of the car and made your way to the back, but you stopped in your tracks when a familiar voice scratched your ears.
“Y/N, stop!”
Rolling your eyes, you looked over your shoulder and were met with Spencer’s stern gaze.
“What now?”
“We’re not supposed to break apart.”
“I’m just going behind the house!”
“We’re supposed to follow orders!”
“And you’re not supposed to be such a smartass all the time, but you still are.”
Clenching his jaw, Spencer watched you walk away before sighing and muttering to himself, “Don’t come crying to me when you get hurt.”
Making your way behind the house, you took in the scenery. A swingset that looked like it hadn’t been used in years, flowerbeds by the sides of the fence that were full of dead and dry plants. It looked as though no one had taken care of this place in years, such a poor condition where no sane person would come. And so it would be the perfect place for an unsub to hide out.
Hearing a rustling coming from behind the trees, you latched onto your gun and walked over to the source of the noise, slowly and carefully. Only a few steps away, you felt someone walk up behind you, but when turning around you were met with nothing. Turning your head back only a second later, you were met with the unsub and before you had time to react he shot you in your leg. The gunshot echoed and you fell to the ground in agony.
“Y/N!”
Spencer came running to you and crouched down to you, brushing the hair out of your face.
“What happened?”
“He shot me-,” a cry left your lips as Spencer applied pressure to your wound.
“I told you not to go alone.”
“Just shut up and help me!”
Grabbing his phone, Spencer called for an ambulance. He stuttered out the situation as his hand was still pressed against your wound, blood seeping from the sides and covering his hand.
After finally being admitted to the hospital, Spencer was sat, waiting to hear how you were doing and every second was hell. He knew he shouldn’t have let you go all alone and yet he still did because his stubborn self was mad at you from a previous argument. What was the argument about? The two of you argued over directions to the unsub’s hideout.
“You’re supposed to turn to the left, Reid!”
“Y/N, I know my way around this town. I memorized the map before we left, we’re supposed to go straight ahead.”
“That’s not what the locals said.”
“Oh so you don’t trust me?”
“I’m just saying it doesn’t hurt to trust the people who know how to get around this place.”
“It also doesn’t hurt for you to trust me.”
“I’d rather get shot than rely on you.”
And now here you were, in surgery after getting shot and Spencer replaying the scene of finding you all bloody, over and over again in his head. This was one of the times he wishes he didn’t have an eidetic memory.
A few hours later you were resting in your hospital bed. Spencer was hesitant about whether he should come check on you or not, he knew that he was the last person you’d want to see, but he was the one who found you and he needed to know how you were.
Bracing himself, he took a deep breath and walked into the room. His eyes scanned over you with his eyes stopping at your leg.
“It’s not polite to stare.”
Spencer locked eyes with you and saw your mouth curl up into a smirk; even in severe pain, you managed to sass him.
“Watch it now or else I won’t come to check on you anymore,” Spencer chuckled and made his way towards your bed and sat on the edge of it.
“You don’t have to, you know.”
“Yes, I do. I shouldn’t have let you go alone.”
“Spencer, stop. It’s all on me. I was the one being stubborn and-”
“That doesn’t matter. I was annoyed too and yet I ignored everything we’ve been taught and let you go by yourself.”
Spencer’s voice grew shaky and you noticed his eyes glistening. Were those tears? It couldn’t be.
“I’m sorry Y/N,” Spencer sniffled and quickly dried off a few tears threatening to spill from his eyes. You had never seen him like this. You were used to cold stares and eyerolls from him sure, but seeing him be so upset over your wellbeing? It was a sight you thought you’d never witness.
“Spencer, don’t be so hard on yourself, please. It was my fault too.”
“It’s nice of you to admit that.”
“Hey!”
Lightly smacking Spencer’s shoulder caused a chuckle to fall from both of your mouths. You hadn’t been this comfortable with each other in a long while and neither of you ever thought that such a day would come again.
While you were recovering, Spencer came to see you in the hospital for the short while you still had to be monitored and when you finally were able to go home he’d stop by to see you even more. Spencer was adamant that he was making regular visits because he felt it was his responsibility after letting you walk off by yourself, but the rest of the team had other ideas as to why he was making so much time to come and see you, and little did they know that their suspicions would be proven true.
Penelope was making her way to your home with a basket of freshly baked muffins, a baked good of hers that you raved about every time she made them, and she thought that it was just the thing to lift your spirits. She reached your door and waited for an answer after she knocked. After a few minutes of complete silence, she took out the spare key to your apartment that you gave her for emergencies and made her way in, her mouth falling open at the sight.
There you were, perched on the lap of The BAU’s boy genius, who was also known as your sworn enemy, or at least was known to be.
“Oh, what do we have here?”
Penelope shut the door and made the way to you and Spencer, her smile beaming while your rosy cheeks hid in the crook of Spencer’s neck. Sitting on Spencer’s lap was the last place anyone thought they’d find you, especially yourself.
“Please don’t tell the team about this.”
“Oh sweetness, everybody already had their suspicions.”
“Why am I not surprised?”
Penelope chuckled and left the basket of baked goods on the kitchen table and quickly walked off so you and Spencer could enjoy some “alone time,” clearly enjoying seeing her favorite coworkers finally getting along with each other.
As the door shut, a sigh escaped your lips and Spencer caressed your back in order to comfort you.
“How long do you think its going to be until everybody else knows?”
Before Spencer could answer, both of your phones went off notifying an incoming text message. Both of you took out your phones and unsurprisingly it was messages from Emily and Luke, congratulating you both on your new found love.
“I was going to say an hour, but yeah, fifty six seconds sounds like a better answer.”

Oh God. You stood there, frozen in place for you don't even know exactly how long. You could not believe what had just happened. It had already been intense watching Cady and Regina argue, but to then see her be hit by the bus? You felt like your life flashed before you and you weren't even the one the got hit.
You'd considered Regina one of your friends; you weren't a plastic by any means but you had always been there to help her out. Even having done a few class projects with her. Well- more like you did the work and she just sat there and looked pretty.
You weren't ready to see her get hid by a bus. So you were floored. It took you longer than it should have for you to get yourself together and run over. You should have acted faster," oh my God, Regina!!" You yelled. Coming to a stop next to her, she was completely unconscious and looked almost unrecognizable. People were freaking out, Janis and Cady had run over and stood next to you. Looking at Regina.
"I'm gonna be sick." Cady muttered the same time Janis said,
"Jesus fuck. She's looked better."
You shot a glare at Janis and immediately dialled 911," hang in there, Regina." You whispered. You explained what had happened to the lady on the other end of the call and she sent over an ambulance.
When the ambulance arrived, you managed to convince them to let you to ride and the back. Wanting to be there for Regina and make sure she would be okay, you doubted she would wake up. But if the off chance she did when you were there, well- you figured it might be nice for her to have someone by her side.
You stayed with her for as long as you could, your parents picked you up when visiting hours were over.
By the time Regina was awake, the hospital gave you a call. Since you had asked Regina's nurse if they could reach out to you, explaining that you were a close friend (even though you knew you weren't super close). You still wanted to have updates on how she was doing regardless.
After convincing your parents to take you, you got to the hospital and rushed to Regina's room. Practically bursting the door open and smiling when you saw the blonde, she looked better. Despite the neck collar," Regina!"
"Huh?" She glanced at you, a little confused when she saw you and the pain meds weren't helping at all." Y/N?"
"Hi, Regina." Your voice was soft as you walked over and sat by her side, taking in the familiar setting of the hospital room. Only this time there were more flowers and gifts by her beside and windowsill; you felt bad not bringing anything, but you just desperately wanted to see her.
"Why you here?" She wasn't completely coherent but it's not like she was impossible to understand either. You gave her a gentle smile.
"Wanted to check on you, see how you're doing. Pain meds hitting you hard?" You asked.
She gave you a dopey grin as she leaned a little closer, not able to bend much though with the brace." I'm soooooo high!" She whispered as she giggled.
You bursted out laughing, having not expected her to respond like that. In a way it was like she was just really high," I can see that."
She seemed to just stare at you for a long moment, thinking about something and with the meds she had it made it even harder to read her. Normally you could kind of tell.
"You are like... pretty," Regina said. Catching you entirely off guard. Did she really just say that? You chose not to believe it.
"I'm sure that's just the meds, Regina." You gave her hand a gentle pat and she shook her head. Well, as best as she could before wincing. Her wince made you grimace.
"No, I'm so serious. Always thought it," That made your eyes widen. Had she really always thought that? You fidgeted with her fingers, not wanting to think too much on it on the high chance it was just her pain meds. Little to your knowledge, they were making her incredibly truthful and she meant every word she'd told you.
Throughout the next week, you continued helping Regina. Doing whatever she needed. When she was finally okay enough to be home and off the meds, you were still there for her. Knowing she couldn't do a whole lot with her corrective neck collar still on.
"Hey, Y/N?" She said to you as you walked over with a cup of water for her.
"Yes, Gina?" You replied. The two of you had gotten even closer since you'd been helping her a lot. She actually genuinely liked you, too.
"Why haven't you left?"
The question caught you off guard; 'left'? You didn't quite understand what she meant by that. You sat on the edge of her bed, fixing her blanket for her so it was back over her chest before looking in her eyes. "Left?" You questioned.
"I'm a bitch. And you're definitely not my servant. You don't have to be here." She elaborated.
"Maybe not, but I want to be. You can be a pretty cool person and you've never really been bitchy to me." You paused and sighed, your own question on the tip of your tongue. Part of you was scared to ask, Regina could be unpredictable." Hey... when you were under pain meds-"
"Oh no." She cringed, she didn't know what you were going to say but she was almost sure she didn't want to know. Regina's sure she said a lot of questionable things and was worried about any secrets she may have revealed.
"It's not bad- at least, I don't think it is. But you called me pretty? And said you always thought it?"
"Well..." Regina trailed off, almost hesitant to admit this. But why was she hesitating? She gets what she wants and there was no way you didn't want her. No, that's not... she sighed. She needs to change. She nearly just lost everything, but still. She might as well admit it, not like she had much more to lose right now." Yeah. I have."
You were floored. She really meant it? You had chalked up all the times she'd flirted while you on the medication as just that. The medication. Apparently, there'd been some truth behind it all. You swallowed, but a smile crept on your lips and you felt a sense of relief so strong that you almost cried. Normally you weren't this emotional, but you'd been trying to hold in all your emotions over the situation. It was weighing on you way more than you let on and your mind could only handle so much weight. You took her hand in hers and she seemed to be concerned.
"Why are you crying?" She asked, her tone was the softest you'd ever heard it. Almost like she was trying to make an effort in changing.
"I'm just- relieved. I guess and I've been trying to keep all my emotions in and I just- can't anymore." You rambled out, your free hand moving as you spoke. Regina frowned and carefully moved her hand to your cheek, wiping away the tears.
"Even when you cry you're beautiful." She murmured. This was not the same person before the bus accident and that was becoming beyond obvious. Little did you know, it wasn't just the incident that made her want to change but you had too. She wanted to be better if it meant she got a shot with you.
You tried saying something but no words seemed to come out and you just cried. Regina hadn't realized just how much all this really effected you, she made a mental note to make it up to you when both of you were in better head spaces.

Upstead Foster Daughter
Did you ever wonder how Upstead would be as foster parents for a teenage girl? Like Hank and Erin, Hailey and Jay welcomed Olivia to their home when she was 16. Olivia holds a lot of grudges and is full of mischief, but she is also incredibly sweet and has a tremendous need to feel like she belongs. To her surprise, Hailey and Jay will give her exactly that.
Masterlist
[Chapter II] “You’re on your own, kid, you always have been”
No one expected to hear a stranger's voice through their radio, let alone saying that Jay was bleeding out on the pavement.
Tumblr media
“Who the hell are you?” Voight’s surprised voice came through the radio.
“My name is Olivia Rivera, I'm with your officer Halstead and he's been shot! I'm sorry I couldn't call an ambulance but I don't have my phone with me,” Olivia said everything so fast they almost couldn't understand it.
“Shot? What the hell?” said Hailey in exasperation. She was driving with Voight after Jay left by himself.
The whole team was checking the crime scene from their current case when Jay got a call from a CI. Hailey was busy interrogating a witness when he got the call. She told him to wait for her but he was so eager for whatever information his CI had to give that he decided to go by himself. Turns out it was a trap. Hailey did not know the details yet, but she couldn’t help but think that this would have not happened if she had been with him.
“Wh-where are you?” Hailey asked, already feeling her heart start to beat out of her chest.
Olivia told her the address as slowly as possible in her state; after that, Hailey started bombarding her with questions she did not know how to answer.
While they talked, Voight rushed in passing the address to dispatch requesting an ambulance and some patrol cars. The rest of the team followed behind.
“Is he conscious?” Hailey asked.
Silence followed her question, leaving them both tense.
“Olivia! Is he conscious?” Hailey repeated.
“I- He- He was until now when I called you.”
“Does he still have a pulse, Olivia?” Hailey guided her to check.
“Yes, he does!”
“Okay, okay, keep putting pressure on the wound.”
“What's the ambulance ETA?” Voight's rough voice questioned dispatch.
“We're close, hang tight Olivia,” Hailey said, trying to calm the girl and herself down. He would make it, he always made it. This was not his first time being shot, but she surely hoped it was his last. She couldn't do this last time and she especially can't do it now.
“He'll be fine, Hailey,” Voight's voice invaded her thoughts. “Halstead’s strong, he'll get through this.”
Olivia didn't like hospitals. She felt trapped, unsafe, and overwhelmed. Probably because of the amount of people coming and going, the voices overlapping each other. There was too much going on and she shouldn't even be there in the first place.
After Jay's co-workers got to them everything happened in a blur. The ambulance got there seconds later, along with the other members of the team.
When Hailey and Voight arrived, Hailey came running in Jay and Olivia’s direction. She stared at the teenager with a mix of desperation and gratitude. Olivia stepped away as Hailey took her place. As others approached, Olivia stepped more and more away from the scene, ending up a little far away from it all.
She watched the scene unfold before her eyes in a trance. Jay was put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital, with several police cars following behind. Should she leave? She wants to know if he is going to be alright, of course. On the other hand, she feels like she was not supposed to be there.
“Hey! Olivia, isn't it?” a tall man appeared in her field of vision, his eyes were gentle and his voice calm.
“Yes,” Olivia answered.
“Name’s Kevin, Kevin Atwater. This is my friend, Kim Burgess,” he pointed to the woman beside him, and she smiled softly. Both officers looked shaken but they masked well, Olivia thought. Of course, this was not easy for them. Seeing a colleague hurt like that, almost lifeless.
“There's someone we can call for you? Your mom or dad?” Kim asked.
The girl didn’t answer. Kevin and Kim exchanged a look.
“Well, just come to the hospital with us then, okay?”
Voight watched them from afar, getting ready to enter the car and head to Med. Jay was the priority now, but they all were grateful for the girl, she saved Jay’s life after all. He made a mental note to thank her personally later.
Olivia debated for a moment. She decided it was better if she went with them and found a way to leave later without them noticing.
She nodded and followed them to the car.
“You can get cleaned up there,” Kim said after getting in the car.
Kevin started the drive to Med. Olivia didn’t answer the officer, suddenly feeling hyper-aware of all the blood on her. The adrenaline was wearing down.
“Are you okay, Olivia?” Kim asked softly.
“Yeah, sorry… I'm fine.”
“It’s okay, we will get to the hospital soon.”
Sitting in the doctors' room in Chicago Med a couple of hours later, Olivia was clean and waiting for a chance to leave. The really nice nurse called April who helped her clean up and gave her some food came by minutes ago and told her Jay would be alright. She left again when another nurse called for her so now was the perfect time for Olivia to leave.
She did not need to be discharged since she was neither a patient nor a suspect, right? Olivia got up and left the room, bringing some of the snacks the nurse gave her.
“Don’t worry Hails, we’re getting the bastard who shot Jay,” Kevin said firmly, looking at a very distressed-looking Hailey. Olivia got to the hospital’s lounge and saw Jay’s team reunited talking. They had their backs to the door she entered and could not see her.
They started to talk about the man who shot Jay and what they were doing to find him, most of which Olivia did not understand or did not care to try to understand. She stopped paying attention and started to plan how she would get out of there. There was only one way out and she could not leave without them seeing her.
Olivia was scared. She knew she wasn’t in trouble or anything but they were still police so she might as well be in trouble if they got to know more about her. Hell, they might as well already know.
“Stay with your husband Hailey, we’ll get him,” Voight's words drew Olivia's attention. Husband? That explained why Hailey was the most distressed of them all. The look on her face when she saw him lying on the pavement.
“Oh! Olivia, there you are,” said April, the nurse who helped Olivia earlier. Olivia's name caught the group's attention and five heads turned to look in her direction.
“Olivia!” Voight said, approaching the girl. “How are you? I need to properly thank you for helping my detective, I don’t know what could have happened if you weren’t there.”
“I… well, he was…” Olivia did not know what to say, so she came with a simple “You’re welcome” and a shy smile. She didn't expect to talk with anyone, let alone have all the attention on her.
“Well, I’m Sergeant Hank Voight and this is my team,” he went on introducing each of them. “You met Officer Kim Burgess and Officer Kevin Atwater. Detective Hailey Upton was the one you spoke with on the radio. And that is Officer Adam Ruzek.” he pointed to each one and they gave her a nod or a small smile.
After the introduction, he turned to look at her again. He spoke in a more serious tone, “We’re going to need your statement.”
Shit. That is exactly what she was trying to avoid. “I can’t!” was the first thing that came out of her mouth.
“It’s okay Olivia, we checked your file and we’re going to call your foster family on the way to the station,” Hank said.
So they know about her foster family, but they did not know she had run away yet. That was why she was in that alley, in that part of town, by herself.
Olivia thought about running but she could never get far with this many cops around. On their way to the district, she thought about jumping from the moving car but that was too stupid even for her. She laughed at the thought. Sitting in the car with Kim and Kevin again, she accepted her fate.
All her effort running away was for nothing. She was back to square one.
Tumblr media

The Accident (Part Two)
Pairing: Reader & Cillian Murphy
Warning: Accident, Child Birth, Abuse, Religious Themes
Thank you @blondie-22 for this amazing idea!
Tumblr media
Cillian pushed open the front door of his large townhouse, the familiar creak announcing his arrival. The comforting scent of freshly brewed coffee lingered in the air, mingling with the soft rustle of pages turning as he stepped towards the living room.
When he walked inside, his daughter Nina glanced up from her phone, eyebrows raised in curiosity. “What took you so long at the shops?” she asked, seeing how her father was meant to have been gone for less than an hour.
Cillian ran a hand through his graying hair, his mind still lingering on the frantic chaos of the past hour. “I just...I suppose, I got caught up in stuff," he stammered as he sank into the armchair across from her. The flicker of concern in his daughter’s eyes was evident.
“What kind of stuff?” Nina pressed, her fingers hovering above the screen, moment arily forgotten.
Cillian hesitated, feeling the weight of the encounter with you just moments earlier hanging over him. “I helped deliver a baby.”
Nina’s eyes lit up. "You what?" she gasped, leaning forward. “For real?" “Yeah, in an alley out of all places. It was pretty intense,” Cillian said, a smile breaking through the tension on his face.
Nina laughed, her hazel eyes sparkling with excitement. “Holy shit, dad. That's pretty cool," Nina said just before Cillian's fiancee Naomi chimmed in from the kitchen, her voice dripping with disdain. “You helped deliver a baby? Really? Couldn’t you have just called an ambulance?" she asked, seeing how she had hoped to spend some time with him to prepare for their wedding in four months.
Cillian’s smile faltered as he leaned back, trying to contain the frustration brewing inside him. “I did call an ambulance, Naomi. The woman needed help, though. I couldn’t just leave her.”
Naomi folded her arms, her perfectly manicured nails glinting under the living room lights. “You’re a famous actor, not a paramedic. You shouldn't have gotten involved," she snapped, her green eyes narrowed in disapproval.
Cillian straightened his posture, pushing back against her frustration. “She was scared, alone, and about to give birth. Just think— if it were you in that situation. Wouldn’t you want someone there to help?”
Naomi rolled her eyes, the dramatic gesture almost rehearsed. “I wouldn't have been in that situation, Cillian. I am not ruining my body by having children and you know that. We had this discussion," Cillian's fiancee explained, reminding him that having children with him in the future was not on the card for her. She was 36 and quite influential on social media, running campaigns for cosmetics and high fashion items, modeling them herself, not raising babies.
Cillian rubbed the bridge of his nose, his irritation bubbling beneath the surface. “That’s not the point, Naomi. It’s about empathy. It’s about being human.”
Nina, sensing the growing tension, interjected. “Can we not argue about this now? Dad just did something incredible. He helped deliver me over sixteen years ago when mom went into labour and now he helped with another baby. It's so fucking cool," Nina exclaimed, her voice rising with enthusiasm. “Just let him have this moment without adding all your drama on top.”
Naomi shot her a stern look before looking at Cillian and rolling her eyes. "Whatever," she said, dismissing Nina’s enthusiasm. “Can we get in touch with the wedding planner now that you are home?" she wanted to know, but Cillian simply sighed.
"I was actually thinking about visitting Y/N in the hospital, to see how she is," Cillian said as he stood up again, determination flickering in his blue eyes.
Naomi’s expression hardened. “Y/N? The woman who you don't know but whose child you helped deliver? This is ridiculous, Cillian, really. You can’t just go off visiting strangers. You are a fucking movie star now,” Naomi’s voice dripped with scorn.
"I am an actor, not a movie star," Cillian responded, hating that term. "Despite, I promised Y/N I would check in on her. She deserves that."
Naomi scoffed, her fingers tapping impatiently on the counter. “And I deserve a perfect wedding, one that you're helping plan. You agreed to be there, Cillian!"
"I am sure Nina will help you pick out some nice flowers, and decorations," Cillian replied, his voice steady and a little sarcastic, causing his daughter Nina to roll her eyes and sigh.
"Sure," she chuckled. "If I must," Nina said, cutting a glance at Naomi. "And for what it's worth, I think it’s cool that you want to check on the woman you helped earlier, Dad. It's just the decent thing to do.”
Cillian nodded, grateful for the support. Nina was as empathetic was he was, understanding the complexities of kindness in an indifferent world.
“Thanks, Nina. I appreciate it,” he said before gathering a few things in order to make his way to the hospital.
Naomi folded her arms, disbelief etched on her face as she watched Cillian slip on his jacket. “You’re really leaving, aren't you? Just like that?”
Cillian turned around, catching the flash of frustration in her piercing gaze. “Yes, I am,” he told her bluntly before walking out of the door.
****
An hour later, Cillian stepped inside the hospital, the antiseptic odour stinging his nostrils. Fluorescent lights flickered overhead, casting a stark pallor across the floor of the maternity ward and his heart raced a little, for reasons unknown to him, with a pulse of urgency propelling him to the reception desk.
“Excuse me,” he said, the urgency in his voice clear. “I’m looking for a woman named Y/N. I don’t know her surname but gave birth just a little while ago and I helped deliver her baby before she was taken here,” Cillian explained and the receptionist glanced up, her expression shifting from indifference to mild confusion as she looked through the admissions sheet silently for what felt like an eternity.
“I’m sorry, sir, but I don’t have any record of someone by that name. I just started my shift but no one named Y/N has been admitted into the ward in the past 24 hours,” the receptionist replied, tapping her fingers against the keyboard.
Cillian furrowed his brow, frustration creeping into his voice. “She came in only an hour ago. A woman and her newborn; I helped her through an emergency. It can’t be possible that she never made it here.”
The receptionist’s fingers paused mid-type. “Are you sure that she was taken to this hospital?" the elderly but friendly woman asked, studying him with a hint of sympathy in her eyes.
“Yes," Cillian pressed. "I would have remembered because, uhm," he stammered slightly. "My wife died here four years ago," he admitted, memories coming back to him.
The receptionist softened at his admission. “I’m very sorry to hear that,” she murmured, her gaze shifting to her computer screen. “Let me check with the maternity unit nurse.” She pressed a button on the phone and waited, the silence stretching uncomfortably between them until the line connected.
“Hi, Ellen? Can you confirm if we had a patient arrive with a newborn about an hour ago? Her name was Y/N.” She listened intently, her brow furrowing deeper.
Cillian shifted nervously, casting glances at the white walls lined with floral pictures, his thoughts racing.
The receptionist nodded slightly. “Okay, thank you.” She hung up and faced him, the weariness etched in her features.
“One of the nurses in charge of arrivals just told me there’s no record of a woman by that name today. However, she did mention that a woman arrived with a newborn and no ID. She refused to provide her name and she refused treatment. They said she left the hospital shortly after arriving, despite being advised to stay.”
“Wait,” Cillian interrupted, his heart sinking. “ Cillian’s heart sank. “What do you mean she left? Who picked her up?”
“A man in his late twenties apparently,” the receptionist shrugged. “I can’t give you more details; hospital policy, you know?” Her eyes expressed genuine concern as she searched his face for understanding.
Cillian rubbed his temple, irritation lacing his thoughts. “Thanks for your help. I appreciate it,” he mumbled, shaking his head as he turned away from the desk. The sterile clamour of the hospital faded into a dull roar behind him. One question nagged at him as he walked towards the exit: Why had you left?
***
Outside, the crisp air hit him like a wave, grounding him for a brief moment. He pulled his phone from his pocket, scrolling through the contacts quickly, his thumb hovering over his daughter's name, dialing her quickly.
“Dad? Are you okay? You just left” Nina asked, the rhythm of her voice quickening.
“I’m fine,” he replied, trying to keep his tone steady. “Listen, I need you to do something for me.”
She paused, her curiosity piqued. “What is it? You sound weird."
“There is a little note on the kitchen counter. It has the car registration number of the woman. I helped today. I wrote it down for the insurance claim and I need you to send it to me please,"
“Okay, hang on,” Nina replied, her voice almost drowned out by the background noise of whatever game she had been playing. Cillian could hear the scuffle of her chair and the patter of her feet against the wooden floor as she rushed to the kitchen. A moment later, she spoke again.
“I found it! I will text it to you,” Nina said.
“Great. Thanks, sweetheart,” Cillian replied, relief washing over him. He had a direction now, something solid to grasp and he knew that, with some help, he could track you down, wanting to make sure that you and Mika were safe.
