I didn't log in on Tumblr for a week bc was busy in UNI hell and the second I came back, I heard about the data sold to AI mess and what the fuck am I supposed to do or to say lol...

the flight to the UK was long, but well worth it. two months ago you'd been offered an unbelievable opportunity.

an opportunity you'd been dreaming of for years, one you'd spent what felt like an eternity working towards— an engineering internship. not just any internship, one with the red bull formula one team.

you'd be able to travel with the team, shadow the engineers, help with various tasks around the paddock, and design parts at hq. an absolute dream.

after scouring a thousand real estate websites, you'd finally found the perfect place for to live.

a little 1 bed 1 bath apartment, tucked into a beautiful, quaint little neighbourhood. just 30 mins to the red bull hq.

you'd dedicated many late nights and ikea shopping trips to making the apartment your own. your comfortable escape from the grueling hours of studying and pressures of the internship.

you led a busy life, but it never bothered you. you adored what you did and formula one had been your passion since you were a little girl.

and now everything was falling into place. in fact, tommorrow you'd leave to attend your first race with the team. austria. red bulls home race.

you were ecstatic to say the least.

you hurriedly made your way through the paddock and into the red bull garage. your eyes glued to the schedule on top of the pile of papers in your arms.

you were on your way to assist one of the senior engineers in preparation before the race began.

you were nervous, and it was no help that you weren't exactly sure where you were supposed to be meeting him.

suddenly, you stumble over your own feet and bump into someone.

you feel hands on your shoulders, their grasp firm, steadying you.

you look up and are taken aback by the pair of strikingly blue eyes staring back at you. his eyes were the kind of crystal blue that would capture anyones attention. but despite their bright colour, they had a sort of inexplicable depth, darkness to them.

there was something in his expression that you couldn't quite read. something stirring beneath the surface of his icy gaze. it was as though he wasn't just looking at you, but into you.

you abruptly become aware of his hands, still on your shoulders. you're so oddly aware of them, as if it's your first time being touched by anyone.

he holds you firmly, as if trying to hold you together. the moment seemed to last forever. the two of you frozen in time.

a stranger's eye contact and touch shouldn't be affecting you in this way.

"you okay?"

it's only once he speaks that you realize who the man standing in front of you is.

your eyes widen, cheeks flushing. you straighten up quickly, mouth slightly agape.

"oh'" you start, at a loss for words "yeah, im sorry." you manage a small smile.

you straighten up an take a step backwards, pulling away from his grasp. you miss the warmth of his hands more than you'd ever like to admit.

"it's okay, no worries," his eyes linger on you a moment longer before you both go your separate ways.

as you walk away, you cant help but glance back at him.

you'd certainly heard him speak before on tv, but something about his accent in person was enchanting. his energy seemed to linger on you like perfume.

everything about him caught your attention, long before you'd bumped into him in person.

you'd seen his dominance on track, it was impossible not to notice. he could control the car like no other driver, handling each corner perfectly. he pushed the car to the limit every race and it payed off.

it wasn't just his driving you noticed. his persona. it was everything. and you couldn't ignore the fact that it was sexy.

his short temper, his tendency to snap easily.

it was unreasonably and indescribably attractive.

the next time you see him he's across the room. you're studying the notes that the senior engineer gave you, papers and writing utensils spread across the table in front of you.

he was discussing something with his race engineer, he certainly wasn't doing anything that was particularly interesting or peculiar, he wasn't even looking in your direction. but for fucks sake you were distracted. you were somehow absorbed by his prescence.

ever since bumping into him you couldn't seem to get him out of your head. last night you'd replayed the memory over and over in your mind, finding it more difficult than usual to fall asleep.

all day, you'd silently prayed you would bump into eachother again. your relentless efforts to push your thoughts and feelings to the back of your mind were useless.

the mere idea of him was addictive, so alluring. he was drug-like to you and impossible to ignore.

although it was unknown to you at the time, max had found himself similarly hooked on you. or rather, the thought of you. even though he found enough strength to avoid looking at you, he was well aware of you. sitting at the table in the furthest corner. he was even more aware of the fact that your eyes kept flickering in his direction.

your energy was unlike anything he had ever known. you walked around with an aura of pure innocence. yet you seemed untouchable.

your smile shone. your laugh was contagious. you radiated sunshine. max had come to know these things about you.

you were magnetic in such a way that made him curious.

it stirred something inexplicable inside him. like you were another thing for him to win, to claim. another thing for him to dominant. to corrupt.

your innocence was tangible. and max wanted to be the one to wreck you. it was all he thought about.

the light in your apartment was soft. that's how you preferred it.

you relished your alone time. your small apartment was tailored exactly to you. it was always where you felt perfectly safe and at ease.

a buzz from your phone catches your attention, the screen lights up and you see a new message. it's from andrew, one of the young engineers at red bull who you'd grown close with over the past few months.

a dinner with drivers? you couldn't deny that it sounded exciting.

but then again, you were already in your pajamas and the soup was beginning to steam.

now, you were standing outside the restaurant. you take a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves.

you walk in and the hostess greets you with a friendly smile. you're led to a booth connected to a big table that's only half full.

andrew waves you over and you take a seat next to him in the booth. lando sits across from you.

youd never spoken with lando outside of strictly professional context and you were pleasantly surprised by his charming humor. you're engrossed in the conversation with the two boys as the rest of the group fills the table. you look up to greet the others.

your breath hitches when you see him. his eyes stare into yours with the same intensity as they had two days ago. you don't break the eye contact until he sits down and a dark haired boy you've never seen before calls his name.

despite the abrupt rush of blood to your head, you manage to hold up the conversation with lando.

max couldn't keep his eyes off you for long, and the longer he watched the tighter his grip got on his glass, until his knuckles turned white. he was so focused on you laughing and smiling with lando that he didn't pick up on the way you fidgeted with your ring. a nervous tell.

max clenched his jaw as you leaned in close to something lando said. far closer than what many would deem an action between two casual friends. your giggles and blushing and landos knowing smirk and your hand jokingly smacking his arm made max see red.

"you alright, mate?"

"im fine."

as the night goes on and the chatter and laughter get louder, people begin shuffling around, moving to talk with new people.

lando is called over to a different group of friends and andrew leaves with him, leaving you alone in the booth.

"having fun?"

you recognize his voice immediately, sense his burning presence as he slides into the booth, sitting next to you.

"yeah." you manage a smile. "the food was really good."

"that's good." he says, briefly glancing away. your eyes involuntarily trace over the tendons of his neck.

he was wearing a dark button down, the sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. simple, but ridiculously sexy.

he turns his eyes back onto you. "i didn't know you were gonna be here."

"oh i—" you hesitate for a second, his eyes making your heart skip a beat.

"andrew invited me." you explained, turning slightly so you could face him.

"mm, so are you..." he gestures between you and andrew a few seats down, you know what hes asking.

"oh no, we're just friends." you toy with the edge of your napkin.

it was a bold topic to bring up during a first conversation to say the least, but it didn't feel weird. there wasn't the usual tension, usual coldness that typically came with talking to someone for the first time. it was comfortable, you were able to relax a little.

"hm." is all max answers with. he spreads his legs slightly and pushes his hips forwards, getting comfortable. his leg brushing against yours.

the casual action had your heart thrumming in your ears, beating so loudly you're worried he can hear it.

you swallow, having to glance away. you feel your cheeks turning red.

why max verstappen had such an intense effect on you was still a mystery.

"so um—" you start, trying to make some small talk that would distract you from his arm that now rested on the ledge behind you. you take a breath, composing yourself before speaking. "how often do you guys do this kind of thing?"

he shifted again, his leg touching yours, but he doesn't pull it away this time. the knot of nerves in your stomach tightened. you felt your face turn even redder. the physical contact made your body ache for more.

max smirked, his ego swelling as he saw the effect he had on you.

"once in a while, usually after a race." 

you nod, biting your lip.

"congratulations by the way." you say, it wasn't surprising he'd taken first yet again, but you said it anyways. you prayed he wasn't able to pick up on the way your words came out slightly shaky.

you wanted to do nothing more than relax into him, but with the way he was looking at you that proved to be impossible.

you took a sip of your wine, desperate to cool down as an unexpected surge of heat washed over you which lingered between your legs.

max was different than anyone you'd ever talked too before. he reminded you of nobody. his sense of humor was unique and hilarious.

as the conversation continued you grew immensely fond of the dutchman sitting beside you. although you were absorbed in the stories from his childhood he told you, you remained acutely aware of how close the two of you were now sitting.

max's night couldn't have been unfolding more perfectly. your body language made your thoughts and feelings painfully obvious.

he picked up on the way you blushed immensely at any slight touch from him. the way your pupils dilated as you stared at him. the goosebumps that spread across your chest when he complimented your dress.

but the loudness of the restaurant was a little too much for him. there were too many people here. he craved something more intimate, more private.

"do you wanna get out of here?"

you're caught off guard by his words.

the question was so cliche, yet coming from his mouth it made your heart throb.

"there's a beautiful view not too far from here," he continued, "we could walk?"

his voice was like velvet and he leaned in close, speaking in a low tone as if he didnt want anyone to hear except you.

by now, you're practically having heart palpitations. the pit in your stomach gapes wider.

it was already hard enough for you to keep your sanity intact with him while surrounded by other people. you honestly aren't sure if you could handle being out alone with him.

you nod slowly your head spinning, breathe quickening.

"oh, yeah i'd love that." your voice was unsteadt, yet enthusiastic.

without another word he starts getting up, but before he slips out of the booth he gently touches your leg with his hand, as if reassuring you.

his fingers may as well have been made of hot metal, his touch affected your entire body, his fingerprints burned into your skin.

you felt like a little kid with a crush as you gingerly got up and followed max out of the restaurant, butterflies in your stomach and in your mind.

you don't notice all the eyes on you two as you leave the restaurant, too caught up in the giddiness you were feeling. your own eyes too focused on max in front of you, more specifically on his back which looked so good in that damn shirt.

max, on the other hand, was well aware of all the eyes on him. he fought to keep his cocky grin at bay. there were at least 20 other people there, and out of everyone, you were leaving with him.

he opens the door and lets you by first.

"thank you," you say, the night air cooling your overheated body.

"of course."

amongst the ever present—extremely active— butterflies that fluttered in your stomach, you felt a twinge of genuine nervousness.

you realize that you had just left a restaurant, alone at night, with a guy you technically barely knew. was this safe?

it certainly felt safe. max felt nothing like a stranger.

your nervousness melted away once max fell into step beside you. you looked up at him, at those intense blue eyes.

you were walking so close your arms touched. you had the urge to reach out and take his hand, but of course you didn't.

so there you were, walking alongside max verstappen into the dark night, to see the promised beautiful view.

you'd only walked two blocks before max carefully took your hand in his, entwining his fingers with yours.

P.s. Not really major sightings just those of my fave Pedrito and little ducky videos and the last one cause I like what he did despite hating paps.

Vid 1: A fan run-in while buying drinks at the airport. March 2013

The video began with the camera facing the fan, who seemed to be in a state of shock. She was seen gasping and standing stiff at whatever she was seeing.

“I’m not-“ she began gulping while covering her mouth in shock. “I’m not joking guys, I’m gonna fucking cry, Im gonna,” she tells the camera while looking at the same spot since the video started.

“Guys look, look, look, look, I cannot think of anything at the moment Oh my GOD,” she says as she flips the camera and the one and only Pedro Pascal was shown.

“Ask where they’re going, you might be on the same flight.” Her friend told her jokingly to calm her down.

“ Can I? Can I go there? Can-can I say hi?” She asked before hesitating and walking closer

Her friend nudges her and brings her phone up to record and capture her friend's sudden meet and greet. As the friend was seen walking towards Pedro, Y/n was slowly entering the camera and then stood next to Pedro before pointing at something from the variety of drinks in the freezer.

“Oh my gosh! oh my gosh, they’re together!! On a trip!! Ahh, Pedro’s here what do I do” the fan ranted as she debated whether to go up to them. Seeing her friend slowly panicking she tries to calm her down and warn her, telling her to lower her voice as they were a mere 5 ft away from them so whatever she was saying can be heard. And if luck wasn’t with them, it was evident, because Y/N was seen looking behind for a bit before pulling Pedro down to whisper something. Pedro was seen ever slowly nodding before looking towards the two girls and waving, making the girls release soft shrieks that can be heard in the video.

Gathering up her confidence, the fan walked closer and asked if she can take a picture with Pedro, to which he nodded with a small smile and moved them out of the way to let other people pass. She tries to hand her phone to her friend, but since she was the one recording and her other hand was carrying their bag she can’t.

A soft, ”I can take the picture for you guys,“ was heard before the camera pans to you who was already reaching for the camera with a smile.

ahh, y/n’s so sweet, and the way she told Pedro that a fan was walking up to him. girlllll! you be doing one for us Pedro girlies to imagine stuff.

In shock both girls can only nod and before they knew it a couple of pictures were already taken. The fan was seen facing Pedro to say something to him but she froze as her mind and body still can’t process that she was seeing her idol. 

Pedro who sees her state softly asks, “Hey, hey, are you ok? You want something to drink?”. The girl was only able to respond with a nod and shaking her head sideways to answer the second question. With that, the fan leaned closer in an attempt for a hug and to her surprise Pedro accepted immediately, to show his appreciation and to calm the starstruck fan down.

You were then seen on camera once more, but this time to return the phone to the friend who was recording before approaching the pair. You were seen trying to console the fan by telling her silly things and before you know it the fan got a hold of herself and was seen thanking Pedro and you.

Pedro was seen chatting with her for a bit more before you tapped him on the shoulder and told him something. Looking back at you he looks at his watch before mouthing the words “Wait for me,” before approaching both girls.

“Sorry, but it appears that our flight had started boarding and we really don’t want to be late, so if you could please excuse us it would be great. Also, F/n, thank you for your kind words earlier it’s deeply appreciated. Hoping we can cross paths somewhere again,” he said somewhat apologetically. The girls responded with short no’s and “it’s ok, we understand, hoping to see you soon too.”

The girls waved at the pair as they leave after checking their things out.

You were both sunbathing on one of the sun loungers placed near the shore on Amalfi Coast, you are seen laying on your stomach, in a bikini, reading a magazine while Pedro was sitting up, only in some beach shorts, trying to take look at the menu.

“Y/N!” Pedro screamed at your ear to grab your attention.

Jolting up, you hit him with your magazine and switched to lay on your back instead. “Ay Pedritoooooo, ¿qué quieres?” You asked him rather bothered that he interrupted your reading time.

Huffing, he looked at you through his sunglasses before handing you the menu. “I just wanted to ask you what drink you wanted from that stall over there,” he was seen pointing to the stall just a few feet away from them.

Turning to look, you squinted as it was too bright to see things clearly. Sighing, Pedro removes his sunglasses and calls out to you again.

“Hey ducky, look here,” he said to you and as you turned you were immediately greeted with a hand on your head and glasses fixed upon your nose. With a small smile, you lean up from where you were laying, to mess up his hair.

“Ahhhh, muchas gracias,” you said affectionately.

“ No hay problema, mi patito,” he said as he nudged you with the menu once again, and this time you took it and scanned the choices.

While waiting for you Pedro decided to lay on his own sun lounger, but not even a minute has passed since he’d lay down, and a lady was seen walking towards them carrying a tray filled with snacks. As soon as she nears them she immediately calls out to him.

“Mr Pascal? Am I right?” She asks

Confused, he sat up before looking towards their visitor.

“Yes, you’re right” He started out slowly and once it was confirmed it was him, the staff placed the tray down on the table near the chairs.

“Sorry but a friend of mine, who owns the stall at the very far end of the beach front is a really big fan of yours,” she said, rather ashamedly.

“But she’s too shy to approach you herself so she told me to tell you that she’s been a big fan of yours for years and she’s wishing that she can have the strength to come up to you soon,” she continued.

A little taken aback, he can only clear his throat before replying, “Oh thank you,.... for the support I mean.” He began nervously as he looked at you who was not paying attention to what was happening.

“Yes, thank you but you guys didn’t have to bring in the snacks, that’s a little too much from your end,” Pedro added while smiling up at the lady staff.

“No no, she insisted that I bring this to you for you to have a more relaxing day and she hopes that you’ve been enjoying your stay here.”

Pedro lets out a breathy laugh before replying with a small “thank you,” as he stands up and gives the lady a handshake.

Nodding the staff looks at him before saying a quick, “ Thank you for visiting our country Mr Pascal, hope you and the little lady have an enjoyable stay.” Then leaving all of a sudden.

It was seen that you perked up as soon as you were referred to as “the little lady”, so when the lady left you looked at Pedro, mouth agape.

“I’m a little what now?” You said confused.

Pedro began laughing at that and replied with a loud “Little Lady!! She called you a little lady HAHAHA”

“I mean she’s not wrong you are little, just not a lady.” he continued

Gasping loudly, you hit him again but this time with the menu, “If I’m not a lady then what am I??” You said with a small pout.

Laughing he pinched your pout, “ a duck, y/n, you are a little duck.”

You tried to look mad and offended but that didn’t last long because as soon as he cracked a small smile, both of you broke into a laughing mess.

Pedro was seen leaning down to rest his head on your stomach while being sat at the opposite sun lounger. You were still laughing when he did that so you opted on resting the menu on top of his head. That continued to be your position for a good minute and a half until you calmed down. You were seen ruffling his hair to make him look up at you before pointing to the menu in hand. 

excuse me! !Mr. Pedro Pascal, what in the heavens am I watching. The glasses, the Spanish conversation, the nicknames, the position they are in, don’t tell me this is just to fill in a person’s physical touch need cause ahhh I can’t talk right now. And y/n living every Pedro girlies dream right now!!!! Also, the staff calling y/n a little lady, when she didn't recognize her.

“I’ll probably just have my usual, thank you for asking me though,” you said to him.

“Okayyyyy, buutttt,” he paused as he moved closer, “to spice things up I'm going to get you something they recommend, how ’bout that?” He said teasingly.

A combined snort and giggle were heard from you before you pushed him away.

“Why’d you ask me to choose then??” You asked with your eyes peering up at him as he stood up.

“I don’t know just wanted to ask you in case you liked something different, but you didn’t so I’m gonna do it for you,” he said full of confidence.

Pretending to be annoyed you hit him once again before giving up, “fine, just make sure it tastes good alright?”

In feigned offence it was his turn to ruffle up your hair, “Of course!!! I know what you like remember, I’ll just choose something I think you’d like don’t worry.”

You were seen nodding in response before Pedro was seen putting on a shirt and then walking towards the stall.

From afar, it was seen that a few bystanders, surely fans, approached Pedro for some pictures and autographs.

Pedro is that one sibling that asks if you own the snacks in the cabinet only telling you that they ate them already, but Pedro’s not really giving sibling vibes if you guys get me. is it just me but I find it weird and a little creepy that someone was able to record this whole video and post it online without being spotted, like ever.

Vid 3: Pedro was caught by paps outside of a restaurant. September 2013

The flashing of camera lights are what greeted Pedro as soon as he stepped out of the restaurant. Putting on a smile, the politely waved while lengthening his steps for him to reach his car at a faster time. But that was deemed impossible as the paps blocked his only path towards it.

Softly sighing to hide his annoyance he looked at them saying, “good evening, if you might create a path for me to walk through it would be appreciated,” as he tried to make way for himself.

“Sorry guys but I don’t want to be late for this, I really have to go. Come back another time.” He said as he found a space he can pass through.

The majority of the paps let him pass but a couple of them continued to trail him towards his car, bombarding him with questions along the lines of “why are you in such a hurry?” “you just have to answer some questions for us.” “Pedro, Pedro, Look here!!”

I fucking hate paps, but this video is only here cause he looked good, he was kind enough to entertain them after he was bombarded, and that look on his face when the reporter asked about the beach trip video.

Sighing for the nth time that night, he stopped and told them that he would ask a few questions before having to leave. The paparazzi nodded enthusiastically at that and began asking him simultaneously.

“Pedro!! Here, is a question. Why is it that you’re alone for dinner tonight? You’re usually seen with a friend or family what’s up?” The man asked loudly

Looking at the man he shook his head before answering, “I’m assuming the friend you’re asking about is either Sarah or y/n and all I can say is that-uh, their both busy, as well as I am and me being alone doesn’t really mean anything.” 

“Here!! Look here,” the lady said with great effort. Looking to his left, he found the woman before nodding. “Pedro speaking of Y/n, have you heard of the rumours surrounding the both of you?”

And that caught his attention. It wasn’t that they were both inactive on the "World Wide Web", it’s just that they don’t really spend that much time searching themselves up just to find made-up stories and theories under their name.

Squinting his eyes he looked straight at her before asking “What rumors are you talking about?”

The paparazzi boomed at that question each of them answering the question on their own. Shushing the others he urged the woman to speak.

iFall for Harry pt. 3

“…hello?”

“Hi.”

One word. That’s all he has to say and instantly, you feel your face grow hot.

You don’t know what you expected him to sound like. Truthfully, you hadn’t gotten that far.  But this one word alone already has you on edge.

You swallow the massive lump in your throat, forcing your confidence as you straighten up on the couch. “So…how’s your heart doing, Grandpa?”

He laughs.

God, he laughs, and the sound of it rolling through the speakers makes your legs about shake. It’s deep. Yet somehow warm, and you feel as though you’ve won some sort of lottery for making him laugh like that.

“It’s bad. I’m in real bad shape,” he teases back, giving you a chance to hear his accent in full.

Of course he has a sexy fucking accent. “I’ll make sure to have Life Alert on standby.”

Another laugh, and you start to smile. “Thank you, I’d really appreciate that.”

Now, your head tilts. There’s something on his side of the call that’s throwing you off. It sounds like some sort of…echo? Far away and hollow, and you can’t tell if it’s just your shitty cellphone or if there’s something wrong.

“Are…where are you?” you ask, suddenly worried he was dumb enough to take this call during his meeting.

If he was in fact in a meeting at all.

“Bathroom,” is all he says, and there’s a certain airiness to his voice. “Wasn’t, uh…wasn’t gonna make it much longer without calming down.”

Calming down? Calming down from wha—

…oh.

“Ah,” you whisper, suddenly a tad nervous as you’re reminded of why he wanted to call in the first place. “My bad.”

He chuckles again, and you chew on the inside of your cheek. God, why does his laugh sound so…pretty?

“Trust me, there are worse ways to go.” There’s a bit of shuffling on his end and you wonder what he’s doing. “All right, Cheese Girl. Let’s hear it. Tell me about yourself.”

Your eyebrows lift. “You…uh…okay? I’m…I’m twenty-six…I work in marketing…and I can make a mean quesadilla.”

You can almost hear him smile. “Wow, I…you know what? That actually all checks out.”

“Well, thank God,” you retort with a grin. “Okay, your turn.”

“My turn,” he repeats as he seems to think. “Well, you already know I’m twenty-nine…uh, I work in entertainment, and…I make really good soup.”

“Soup, huh?” Your smirk as you settle back into the cushions. “And…entertainment? Like…like what kind of entertainment?”

There’s a pause before he says, “Oh, you know. Like…people pay me to…perform.”

You blink. “Perform? They…oh. Like, they…okay. That’s…well that’s…hey, you gotta make a living somehow. Nothing to be ashamed of.”

Your eyes squeeze shut, head shaking in an attempt to clear your rambling. You suppose that’s not…the worst job he could have. Although it does explain…a lot.

“Oh, you think I…uh, yeah. No, yeah. That’s…what I do.” He clears his throat. “Yeah, well…now you know I’m not some loser in his mom’s basement.”

You smirk. “And I am not some ninety-year-old man.”

“Well, you don’t sound like a ninety-year-old man, but your personality says otherwise.”

“Oh, that’s rich coming from you, Gramps,” you retort. “All right, well then what do I sound like?”

Again, there’s a moment of silence followed but a tad more shifting. “Uh…honestly? Kind of fucking hot.”

Instantly, your cheeks flush and you look up at the ceiling as if to avoid him somehow. For fuck’s sake, say something. “Well…that was nice. Thanks. So do…you.”

…smooth.

He exhales an amused breath. “Thanks.”

The call grows quiet as you pick at a loose string on your pants. “So…is that all you wanted to call for? Just to…make sure we are who we say we are?”

You hear him suck in a quiet breath. “…do you think that’s all I called for?”

Nope. “I don’t know. I mean…exchanging a couple of fun facts doesn’t exactly make us friends. We’re still…strangers, you know? And maybe you’re not some pre-pubescent loser playing video games, but I still don’t know you. And you don’t know me.”

“I want to,” he says, so simply and so sure that it makes your lashes flutter. “I mean, I kind of feel like I already do. I know you make really bad jokes. And I know you must be smart to be in marketing. And I know that you gave me a fucking boner.”

You pull your lip between your teeth and bite back a laugh. “Well, that’s really all there is to know about me, anyway.”

He hums. “And…I know we could probably save ourselves a lot of trouble by just…saying who we really are, but…I kind of like it like this. I like that it’s not about who we are to the outside world…but about who we are to each other.”

“Yeah,” you agree softly. “No matter what we look like or what we do…it’s just…us.”

“Yeah…”

The thought does occur to you then. In fact, all of the thoughts occur to you. Talking to him on the phone doesn’t just erase the possibility of the truth. And there are so many possibilities.

Like…what if he thinks you’re ugly? What if you think he’s ugly? What if he really is some loser you can’t trust? What if he’s disappointed by who you really are?

The truth is you can’t trust what you can’t see.

And yet…you trust him.

And you don’t know why.

“Well…what else do you want to know, then?” you murmur, and he takes a breath. “I’m an open book.”

“I don’t know,” he admits. “I mean, I could always ask you what you’re wearing again but I believe we already established that you’re wearing clothes.”

You smile. “A tank top and sweatpants.”

He goes quiet. “…oh. That’s…okay.”

“Problem?”

“No, just…now I have a mental picture. And it’s…nice.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Again with the throat clearing. 

Your eyes roll playfully. “How’s that boner doing?”

“Not good. Not good at all, actually. It won’t go away, so…I don’t believe I will be returning to that meeting.”

You can’t contain the amused expression on your face as you prepare yourself to ask the question you know you can come back from.

“Would you like some help with that?”

Faintly, you hear him curse, and it makes your ego soar. “Uh…I mean. You know, I don’t wanna put you out, or anything. I can…I’ve done this before, so I can just—”

“Oh, come on now,” you purr, doing your best to weave some seduction into your voice. “That wouldn’t be fair, would it? I mean, you called me…got me all worked up…and now you wanna do it yourself?”

“Fuck.” More shifting. “Don’t…easy over there, okay? I didn’t…I didn’t actually call for that, I just…I wanted…you know, I wanted us to get to know—”

“I know,” you say quickly. “I know, but…I don’t mind.”

He takes a deep breath. “Are you sure?”

“Very sure.”

“Shit, okay…well, I have one condition.”

“Oh?”

A longer pause this time as your heart begins to race.

And just before you can burst, the rough cadence of his voice rumbles through your speaker:

“I don’t come alone.”

Your eyes widen. “I see.”

Thank God.

“Yeah,” he murmurs before you hear the distinct sound of a belt. “So put the phone down somewhere close, ’cause I’m gonna need both your hands.”

Fuck. “Okay…”

“And I think maybe we play a little game,” he continues before you hear his belt. “You wanted to get to know each other, right? Well, I can’t think of a better way, so I’ll make you another deal. For every secret you tell me about yourself…I’ll tell you exactly what to do with those pretty fingers.”

You’ve gotta be fucking—

“No secrets? No touching,” he says. “And vice versa. You ask me anything you wanna know…and I’ll give it to you.”

Your chest is heaving as soft pants slip between your lips. 

Sure, the premise is rather juvenile but his voice…his fucking voice is like sex, and you find yourself quickly falling into a lust-induced haze.

“Do we have a deal?” he whispers, and your thighs squeeze together.

“Yes,” you just about whine. “Yes, that’s…that’s fair.”

“Good,” he hums as your eyes fall shut. “Are you ready?”

Your voice is small and weak as you nod feebly. “Yes.”

“Then let’s get started.”
