This was a weird one akjfhgds @lurking-loaf and I couldn't decide what to do for this weekend's magma session so we ended up drawing each other A Shape (tm) to work off of! Which means any formal complaints regarding this piece can be forwarded to him lol /silly

Have you ever drawn and hidden little doodles of the DCA while at work?

Just scribbled one or two during a moment of free time and tucked them someplace?

There are now 19 of these silly things scattered around a 136 sq. ft (41.45 sq. m) space.

The thing I'm unsure about is whether I gather them up or leave them for future employees to find when the time comes for me to move on from this job.

thinking about how both actually autistic advocate & Autism Parent TM get wrong, thinking about how for many, especially born 1990s/early 2000s or earlier, or “even” now, double especially for areas & cultures & countries where autism not well known, (early) autism diagnosis did/do mean doom, but not in “autism inherently bad no hope” way—

but in “diagnosis on medical record mean reason dehumanize you, take away your human rights, take away ability decide for self, forever reason doubt what you say about self, deny you right to learn & education, lock you up in own home or in institutions (and when slightly older, prison), ‘valid’ reason kill you, etc” way.

in “in times & places like that, there zero support & help for autism or even general disability. no help you learn communicate, no help developmental delay, no caregiver respite, no financial help, no therapy, not from government often not even from surrounding” way.

in times & places like this, autism diagnosis, especially if also label “severe” “low functioning,” and intellectual disability diagnosis, was self filling prophecy: call you “never able amount to anything” -> not give support or help to amount to anything -> of course majority never able amount to anything

I tried to draw various loaf cats just so I can figure out how to draw them

They were based entirely on this one picture of a loaf cat from a Tower of Adventures promo

It was just various poses and such, though I did also draw what’s supposed to be a loaf cat Dark Choco, since I’ve seen art of him as a cat. He’s supposed to be like some sort of chocolate swirl so that I can somehow incorporate the white streaks

Not gonna lie I now want to eat a chocolate loaf now

Then I drew loaf cat Dark Choco with cake hound Red Velvet because cat and dog and also I know there’s someone I follow who likes darkvelvet and also sometimes draws cat Choco

Hey kids, it's your favorite day-themed jester animatronic, now in puppet form! Doesn't it make you want to keep the lights on?

Combining three things guaranteed (unverified-source required) to keep a kid from shutting the lights off in the daycare, this silly fella is what I drew on @daycarefriendpickup's latest Magma.

Closeups, plus sketch and alternate version below cut.

The glue for the googly eyes and button was originally regular white glue, but I eventually came to my senses and used the correct type.

Also, I almost made the legs/pants look like that rough sketch and no, I have no idea why when I had the arms done accordion style in that same exact picture.
