hi lovely !!
im back again :)
i was thinking about one where the reader is from england (again totally not projecting, just like with the head scratches one.. hah…) ANYWAY. where the team are constantly making fun of her (but in a friendly way of course) for her accent but spence always takes it seriously so he sticks up for her randomly and everyone is all “huh??” and then something happens idk.. i didnt think it through too carefully my bad :( probably just garcia and morgan being teasing bitches and rossi and hotch looking at each other like “yeah i see what’s going on here”
- 🐚
accent — spencer reid
pairing: spencer reid x reader ( no use of y/n ) content warnings: reader has an accent ( not specified which one ) , teasing from the team a/n: i got so many requests like this ( all different accents ) so i didn't specify which one it is and i hope that's okay <333 also so sorry this took so long !! <3333

You closed your eyes the second the word left your mouth, bracing yourself for what was coming.
It took approximately 0.2 seconds.
“Ohhhh, sweetness,” Garcia gasped dramatically, one manicured hand flying to her chest.
Laughter erupted from the other side of the BAU’s roundtable, loud and unapologetic. JJ covered her mouth, trying to muffle her amusement, but Derek had no such reservations. He leaned forward, resting his arms on the table, a slow smirk stretching across his face as he repeated your words in an exaggerated version of your accent.
"Say it again," he teased, chuckling. "C'mon, one more time for me."
You sighed, sinking further into your chair.
JJ, still giggling, gave you a sympathetic look. “It’s just adorable, that’s all.”
"Yeah, well, I'm glad my adorable accent is so entertaining." You rolled your eyes, trying not to take it personally. It wasn't the first time this had happened—people always seemed to get a kick out of your accent.
Derek nudged your shoulder playfully. "Aw, don’t be like that. It’s a compliment!"
Before you could think of a retort, a voice cut through the laughter.
"I don’t see what’s so funny about it."
The teasing died down almost immediately.
Spencer.
You turned to look at him, surprised to see the slight crease in his brow and the way his lips pressed together in mild disapproval. His eyes flickered between everyone at the table, his fingers drumming against the table in that fidgety way of his.
"There’s actually a fascinating study about linguistic variation and how accents are shaped by geographical and social factors," he continued, adjusting his sweater sleeve. "It’s not just about pronunciation—it’s about identity and -"
Derek held his hands up in surrender, a grin still tugging at his lips. "Alright, alright, genius, we get it."
Spencer didn’t back down. His gaze softened slightly when he looked at you. "Personally, I think accents are… charming.They tell a story about where a person comes from." He hesitated for a beat before adding, "And I happen to really like yours."
Your heart did an embarrassing little flip at that.
JJ gave you a knowing look, her amusement now directed elsewhere, but for once, you didn’t mind.
Rossi, sitting across from you, took a sip of his coffee and side-eyed Hotch. He didn’t say a word, but the look between them was obvious.
Hotch exhaled through his nose, giving the tiniest of nods.
Derek let out a low whistle. "Man, you’re smooth when you wanna be."
Spencer blinked. "I wasn’t—" He paused, suddenly realizing how his words sounded, and a flush crept up his neck. "I was just stating a fact."
"Right," Derek drawled, winking at you.
You bit your lip, hiding a smile, before turning back to Spencer. "Thanks," you said softly.
His lips quirked up in a shy, lopsided smile. "Anytime."
And just like that, the teasing didn’t seem so bad anymore.

Send Me An Angel (Dr Jack Abbot x NurseWife!OFC)
Tumblr media
Summary: The darkness didn't just go away because he was home, especially after a night like that, but it did start to feel a little less heavy. Eventually.
TW: 18+ content, canon typical content warnings apply, mentions of suicide and characters making light of suicide because that just how they deal, some smut, established relationship, age gap but barely mentioned (yet) , dark thoughts, angst, some fluff, nobody you love dies ... barely proofread or edited. Y'all I came out of fanfic retirement for this grumpy asshole because I love him (and Robby) so be gentle
~~~~~~~~
7:40am
Jack opened the door between the house and garage and immediately smelled breakfast cooking. He dropped his backpack by the washer and dryer and stripped his shirt off over his head. "Babe!" He dug through his bag for his scrub top and kicked out of his shoes. "I'm home!" He pulled his ID badge off his pocket, slipped his silicone wedding band back on, then took out his extra pen light, three pens he didn't remember taking and the knife out of his other poket before he dropped his pants, pulled off his socks and shoved the whole pile into the hamper labeled 'work' before he picked up his bag and headed inside.
"Clean up and come eat!" She called back from the kitchen.
"Yes ma'am!" He walked down the short hall and ducked through a door to the master bedroom. He dumped his bag on the floor by the closet and went straight for the shower where he spun the knob as hot as it would go. By the time he stepped out of his boxer briefs and stared at himself in the mirror for a minute steam was rolling over the doors.
The water burned but he didn't touch the knob. For a long moment he didn't move, just let the water run over his head while he held his breath as long as he could. Once his head began to swim, his pulse pounding in his ears and his chest tight he stepped back and took a deep breath. The darkness didn't just go away because he was home, especially after a night like that, but it did start to feel a little less heavy. Eventually.
Once he scrubbed himself clean he put on a pair of sweats and a shirt to head out to the kitchen, which smelled like biscuits and homemade gravy. Sam was in front of the stove barefoot, in a pair of what must have been very short, shorts hiding under a baggy ARMY t-shirt he was pretty sure was his. She must have actually got off work on time.
He walked up behind her to wrap his arms around her, "Hey baby" Jack kissed the side of her neck and buried his face in her still damp hair so be could breathe in the smell of her eucalyptus shampoo and antibactial soap.
Her response was cut and dry as she stirred the contents of the pan, "Robby called."
"God damn it" He dropped his forehead down to her shoulder.
"Don't be mad, he's your best friend."
"Not right now he's not." Jack looked up and turned to lean his temple against the back of her head.
"You realize if you deep throat your pistol or yeet yourself off a building I don't get your benefits right?" She still hadn't looked at him.
"Yeet?"
She scoffed, "Avoidance. Nice. Yes, yeet, just a friendly reminder that I am, technically, younger than you and I could remarry if I had to."
He stroked over her ribcage, the material of the shirt well worn and smooth against the rough pad of his thumb. He kissed the crown of her head, "Do it for the money this time."
His wife leaned back into him with an annoyed sigh, "Please don't make me get married again, Jack."
After a long, deep breath Jack pressed another kiss to the back of her head, "I won't." A kiss to the side of her neck, longer and lingering this time. "You're makin' biscuits and gravy."
Finally, she turned around to face him and wrapped her arms around his neck, "Thought it might make you feel a little better." On her tip toes she pressed her lips to his once, and then a second time.
Jack hummed appreciatively as he kissed her back. He let his grip loosen on her enough to slide his hands down over her waist and her hips. He coaxed another, longer kiss from her as he moved to slip his hands under her shirt. He pulled up abruptly and groaned into her mouth as he touched bare skin. "You're not wearin' anything under here."
With a smile she nipped at his bottom lip, "Thought it might make you feel a little better."
With something between a chuckle and a groan he pressed his forehead down into hers. He kissed her again, with more intent this time, as he reached over to turn the stove burner off with one hand. He made her giggle as he picked her up by the waist and set her on the counter. His voice was quiet, rough as he spoke, "You're the only thing that could."
Sam let out a long, shaky breath as she pulled him closer and kissed him harder. "Don't ever leave me Jack, not like that."
His only answer was to nod and claim her mouth with his once more and drag her hips tight to his own.
"Promise me." She mumbled against his lips, her fingers tugging at the waisband of his sweats.
"Promise." He moved his kisses to the soft spot at the hinge of her jaw, and then lower, down her neck to her clavicle. When he felt her tremble slightly he smoothed his hands up her thighs and then moaned into the side of her neck as she wrapped her fingers around his cock. The fingers of her other hand were buried in the curls at the back of his neck and for a split second he couldn't imagine a life, or lack there of, without this in it, without her in it.
"Jack…" Sam's voice was breathy as she tugged at those curls, drawing him back to the present moment.
He moved back to kiss her, "I'm right here baby," Jack swept his tongue through her mouth and tugged her impossibly closer, "I'm right here." His hand pulled hers away from him, even that brief touch, the couple of minutes he'd had her in his arms, and he was already hard as a rock. As her hands moved to tug and pull at his tshirt he actually cracked a smirk, just a twitch of his lips as more of the darkness slipped away. Jack did as she wanted and stripped his shirt off before he went back to shove his sweats down just low enough to pull himself free. "Ready?" He asked the question with his lips against her ear and she shivered and nodded into his shoulder.
All the years they'd been together, the thousands of times they'd fucked, made love, fooled around, and every fucking time he slid his cock home it knocked the fucking air out of his chest. Her pussy was tight, hot and wet, already quivering around him and he finally felt alive again. Sam wrapped her legs around him tight, locked him in place and he grinned.
"God you feel so good, always feels so good." Her words snapped him out of his head again and sent a jolt straight to the base of his spine.
Suddenly alive, happy even, Jack reached to take her face in his hands and tip her up to look at him as he began to move. One slow thrust after another he kept his brown eyes locked on hers so bright and sunny, even after hearing her husband had been standing on the edge of a roof less than an hour ago. She didn't look away from him, not until his hips were snapping into hers hard enough for her eyes to roll back in there head. Her mouth open, filthy sounds falling from her lips as her fingers clutched at his forearms. "Look at me."
Her eyes flew open, bright but unfocused, and she held his gaze once again.
"Good girl," He let her see him smile this time, really smiled for the first time since he got home, and then he kissed her. Deep and sloppy and he hoped it showed her he was okay. Her legs tightened around his hips and her hands began to scramble over his arms, shoulders, his back. Still with that same smile he fucked her harder, dropped one hand down to the small of her back to hold her tight. "Go ahead, go ahead baby. I'm right here, I'm right here." The position pressed her against him just right and the sensation of her clit rubbing against him and the head of his cock hitting that perfect spot deep in side her made her gasp.
"Oh shi…God, Jack, shit!" and then every muscle in her long, lean little body seized tight and her nails dug into the back of his neck. The little bit of pain and the sensation of her falling apart around him dragged him over the edge. That falling sensation he had craved with every bone in his body finally coming to a realization. Except at the bottom of this fall, the cold hard ground was replaced by the feel of his wife's lips against his neck, her fingers twisting and toying with his curls still damp from the shower, and her happy little moan as her body relaxed against him.
He couldn't look at her just yet, so he pressed his face to the crown of her head and breathed her in as he wrapped her up tight. He couldn't pull away from her, not yet, and he hummed appreciatively as he felt her arms and legs wrap tighter around him. Jack didn't really think about how long they had stayed there, his dick going soft inside her, the mess they made. Eventually he sniffed and breathed in deep and whispered, "I love you."
Samantha, the love of his life, smiled against his neck and pressed a kiss against his slowing pulse, "Love you too."
The ding of the oven timer startled them both and after a second they broke into soft chuckles. Jack stood up straight and dropped his head back between his shoulder blades, the darkness gone, grumbling as Sam's teeth nipped over his corotid. "Biscuits are gonna burn if you don't let me go."
He grumbled again, face back in it's normal scowl, "Only 'cause I'm starving." He bent down to kiss her a final time before he finally, slowly, stepped away from her. One hand still on her thigh as he reached for a paper towel to clean up the mess they'd made so they could eat breakfast and go to bed.
5:43pm
When he woke up later that afternoon Samantha was still sound asleep beside him, her back to him, bare because they'd gone to bed after breakfast and made love, softer a slower than in the kitchen that morning. He turned onto his back to look at the alarm clock. He could go ahead and get up.
"Go back to sleep." Her voice was soft and raspy, barely awake, like she was trying to fight it.
Jack smirked to himself as he twisted back to kiss the back of her head before he slipped out of bed for the bathroom. He'd never slept well, even before the Army, before Afghanistan and Iraq, even before med school or the switch to nightshifts. On his way back from taking a leak he stopped by the dresser and flipped the switch on the scanner. He'd go back to bed, because she was there, but he doubted he'd sleep. He would have to get up soon anyway. At first there was silence, then the radio chatter picked up.
Back in bed his wife grumbled and pulled the blanket up tighter as she turned towards him. "Sleep okay?"
Jack stretched, arms over his head, and grimaced as his bad shoulder popped, "Slept fine." He laid one arm out and she immediately moved to his side and tucked herself in, twisting her head so she could press a kiss to the scar under his clavicle. "Close your eyes," He pressed a kiss to her forehead, "Go back to sleep." She didn't have to work tonight and he didn't want to ruin her night off. His own eyes slipped closed as he stroked his fingers up and down her arm. He focused on each of her breaths as they ghosted over his chest while he listened to the static and clicks as mics were keyed on and off, officers called in traffic stops, dispatch relayed reports from callers.
When he'd come back from his last deployment and they were finally able to live together longer than a few months at a time, Jack had been shocked how quiet everything was. Even in base housing, there was silence. Sam told him him he'd acclimate, he'd get used to it. She said she listened to podcasts, audiobooks, something to drown out the silence. No jets or C130s screaming ovehead and howling on the tarmac, no chop from blackhawks or chinooks at all hours of the night, no yelling, fighting or roughhousing on the other side of plywood walls.
He hadn't acclimated.
Audiobooks didn't help, he'd lay awake all night because he needed to know how it ended. Podcasts just annoyed him, even the true crime ones she seemed to favor and somehow was able to fall asleep to within the first ten minutes. It wasn't until they'd moved off base that she'd thought of it while they unpacked the den. Sam had pulled out the radio and charging dock, the one they had 'just in case', turning the knob to see if it still worked and it had. So, they'd listened as they unpacked. "Maybe this would help you sleep." She'd been right.
For a moment, with the radio chatter, the blackout curtains and her pressed close against him he thought he might fall back asleep.
A series of chirps followed by long, highpitched tone sounded through the room followed by, "Shots fired, shots fired! All units…" the unmistakable sounds of rifle rounds popped and crackled over the speaker, "Shots fired!" Screaming, distant and garbled. Louder pops, closer, the officers handgun as it rang out. He or a partner maybe as they returned fire. Bang, bang, pause, bang,bang, "We need units now, we have an active shooter at Pitt…" The thirty second emergency call cut short and then the radio chatter exploded with answering officers and dispatchers.
Jack had sat up straight, Sam did the same beside him. Together they listened. Sam combed one hand through her hair as they waited.
Pittfest.
"Jesus," Sam looked at her husband, "That'll go to you guys."
Jack was already out of bed and pulling on underwear, before Sam could finish her sentence.
Less than 10 minutes later Sam met him at the garage door wearing just a hoodie and holding a shaker bottle. "Take this." She shoved it at him as he grabbed his truck keys. "And call me. Anything, just call me."
Jack ignored the protein shake for the moment instead sinking his free hand into her mess of dirty blonde hair and pulling her into him for a kiss. When they finally pulled apart he looked her dead in the eyes. "I love you."
She didn't blink, didn't breath as she pressed a hand over the center of his chest, over his steady beating heart. "I love you."
Then he grabbed the protein shake, gave her one last kiss and climbed into his truck.
6:11pm
Jack wouldn't ever say it out loud, except maybe to Sam, but he lived for this. This, the blood, the gore, the fear and the chaos, the critical thinking all of it, this is what he'd been put to do. This was easy, this was routine. He felt alive.
"Where's Collins?"
"I need a chest tube!"
"How the hell are we out of chest tubes!"
"O pos! I need a bag of O pos over here!
"I need help with an airway!"
"Someone get me more O Neg!"
Robby appeared at his side as they worked together the slow the blood pouring out of an adomen. "Depot is running low."
Jack spared a quick glance around him, "Where are we on resupply?"
"Gloria says she's working on it."
"How long?"
Robby laughed in that self-deprecating way ER doctors specialize in, "Your guess is as good as mine. She says she's working on it."
"Fuck that." Jack mumbled as he stood up straight, "Bag him." He ripped his gloves off and dug his phone out of his pocket. God bless FirstNet, he had signal and when he hit send the call went through. "Yeah, I'm fine. Need a favor."
6:32pm
The Ambulance bay doors hissed open. Robby looked up, "Ohhh, you are the prettiest thing i've seen all day!"
Jack glanced to the side, "Back off Robinavitch, I saw her first."
Sam dodged gurneys as she approached. A duffle bag in each hand and a backpack. "I come bearing gifts!" She made a beeline for the nurses station and Dana.
"Sweetie, please tell me you didn't just pick the worst possible time for a visit?" Dana met her arms wide open.
The duffle bags dropped on the counter with a thud and Sam shrugged out of her backpack so she could return Dana's hug. "Courtesy of Pittsburg VA Medical Center." Sam unzipped one bag and then the other, "I've got chest tubes, I've got cath tubes, some of this tubing I'm not even sure what the fuck it's for, and as many bags and adapters as I could take. i've got CAT tourniquets, SOF turniquests, some surgical turniquets, hemostatic dressings, suture kits, a shit ton of gauze and tape. There's chest seals in that one and abdominal trauma kits if shit gets real western," She turned to Dana as she whipped her long ponytail up into a quick and well practiced bun, "and this," she dug in the pocket of her scrub pants and handed over a piece of paper, "Is a list of people ready and waiting to come if you need them."
For a second it looked like Dana might cry as she glanced down at the list of names and phone numbers written in all different handwriting, mismatched inks, marker, pencil. It looked like they'd all used whatever they had handy at the time. She looked up at Sam and smiled, "You're an angel. Have I told you lately that I love you?" She wrapped her up in another hug.
"Yes, but it never gets old." Sam squeezed her back. "Now, I slammed a Monster on the way here so put me to work."
Dana smiled, "Put those in behavioral, that's supply, then gown up and pick a body." she paused, "i'm glad you're here."
On her way by her husband he called out to Dana, "Tap her, she's O-Neg!"
Sam gave him a look, "What, am I just a blood bank to you?" She gave Robby a wink as she passed him.
Jack called after her, "Love you."
"You better!"
Jack and Robby exchanged a look over a patient, "She's still pissed about this morning. Thanks for that by the way."
"What are best friends for?"
With a scoff Jack stood up, "This one can go up. Bring me another red!" then turned back to Robby, "I don't have a best friend."
Robby laughed and got back to work.
Jack took a deep breath, stole a glance at his wife already helping Samira place an airway on a gunshot victim, and nodded to himself. He remembered why now. He remembered why he kept coming back. For the time being anyway.
3:58 am
The only reason Jack didn't jump, flinch or even move when he felt a hand rest on the back of his head was because he'd recognize that touch anywhere. He groaned, but did not look up from where he sat with his elbows braced on his knees and his head hanging low. Her fingers carded through his curls and she scratched her nails over his scalp in the way that he loved so fucking much. Blindly, with one hand, he grabbed the back of her knee and tugged her closer so he could rest his forehead against her stomach.
Long minutes passed while she played with his hair and he didn't realize the death grip he still had on the back of her leg until his fingers began to cramp. Jack relaxed his hold on her, but didn't let her go. DIdn't want to risk her stopping or stepping away.
"You want some of my coffee?" Her voice was so gentle, but loud in the darkness.
His gaze fell on her shoes, smeared with blood. He sat up straighter, tipped his head back to look at her. "Sure."
She handed him the cup of shitty, hospital coffee and he sipped it. Black. She must be exhausted.
"Hey," she moved her hand down to the back of his neck but continued to scratch her nails over his skin. When he met her gaze, she gave him a soft smile, "Think you should go check on Robby."
He took another sip of her coffee and rubbed his hand up and down the back ofher thigh, trying to ignore the feel of the dried, caked blood, "Where is he?"
Her pretty green eyes blinked and she nodded, fighting back tears. "GIve you one guess."
~The End ~
Hope y'all enjoyed. I love these two and have some back story that might see daylight soon so keep an eye out for that.
Also, if you saw the poll I posted yesterday you'll know that I have a second story idea that I'm working on that more focused on Jack and Robby and their not friends friendship, Sam Abbot features heavily in that one and spoiler, she has a cute nurse friend (reader) that she wants to set Robby up with!
No Other Shade of Blue
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
series masterlist ao3
Pairing: Billy Butcher x f!reader
Summary: You receive devastating news and seek solace in your found family. But you're a member of the Boys, how long could that possibly last for?
Warnings: angst, home invasion, mallory is being kinda mean but she's also kinda justified?, friendship angsttt :(
Please let me know if I missed any TWs <3
WC: 5.2k
A/N: the picture used in the moodboard is purely for inspo, reader is you so you get to decide what she looks like <3
You rush up the creaky stairs of the Flatiron building, Hughie and Annie right on your heels. The adrenaline from Homelander practically hunting you at the gala propels you forward, your heart racing as though you hadn’t escaped at all.
You burst through the office door, eager to feel the safety that usually surrounds you in the office, only to stumble onto a scene that stops you cold.
MM and Frenchie are slumped at the desk, bodies beaten and spirits drained, their faces clouded with exhaustion and something far worse.
Defeat?
MM’s jaw is bruised, and a cut above his eyebrow is crusted with blood. Frenchie’s left arm is bound in a makeshift sling, held stiffly against his chest. Kimiko kneels beside him. Her hands flutter over him gently and she looks like she’s about to cry.
Mallory stands at the back of the room, her posture stiff and commanding as ever, but the open concern on her face betrays her.
Something is very, very wrong.
You spin, wild eyes searching the room frantically for a sign.
He’s not here.
Your throat almost seizes up as the words tumble out of your mouth. "Where is he?"
The room goes still.
Why aren’t they answering you? Why are they just looking at you like that?
"Where’s Butcher?" you demand, your voice rising in panic.
MM and Frenchie exchange a long, heavy look, their silence unbearable. Mallory doesn’t meet your eyes, staring instead at the worn floorboards as though they hold the answer.
"Answer me, where is he?" you cry again, this time your voice cracking.
It’s MM who speaks, his voice low and steady but tinged with guilt. "We… don’t know."
The floor seems to tilt beneath you.
“What do you mean you don’t know?”
Frenchie exhales, his shoulders sagging. "We got separated." His voice is quiet, like even speaking the words out loud pains him.
The room feels smaller, suffocating. “Separated?” Your voice spikes. “What the hell does that mean?”
“Why don’t you start from the beginning?” Hughie suggests, his voice uncertain.
MM leans forward, his elbows resting heavily on the table, his hands clasped tightly as if trying to hold himself together. "We found a lab in Kazan a few days ago. Everything seemed solid. We mapped the place out, had a plan. But when we got inside…" He trails off, his jaw tightening.
Frenchie picks up, his voice bitter. "We found something we did not expect. A pod. Hidden in the lower levels. Sealed airtight."
"A pod?" you repeat, your pulse quickening.
MM nods grimly. "Butcher… he opened it."
The room feels unnaturally silent, every word sticking in the air like glue.
“What was in it?” you ask, your voice trembling.
Frenchie hesitates, glancing toward MM as if for permission. Finally, MM answers. "Soldier Boy."
The name drops like a bomb in the room. Annie stiffens, her eyes widening in disbelief.
"No. That’s—that’s not possible. Soldier Boy died in 1984," she says, her voice almost desperate.
Frenchie lets out a bitter, humorless laugh. "We thought so too."
Your knees wobble, but you force yourself to stay standing. “What happened after you opened the pod?”
MM’s face hardens. “Soon as he woke up, his chest started glowing. Then… there was this blast. Like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Took out half the lab in one shot. Everything went to hell.”
"And Butcher?" Hughie’s voice is barely above a whisper.
Frenchie hangs his head, his good hand covering his face. "We tried to find him. We searched, but the lab… it was collapsing around us. Fires, smoke everywhere. We had to get out, or we’d be dead too."
“So you left him?” you shout, fury breaking through the wall of panic and grief.
"We didn’t have a choice!" MM snaps, his voice raw. "You think we wanted to leave him? Butcher would’ve torn us a new one if we’d stayed and gotten ourselves killed. He’d want us to regroup."
You’re trembling now, fists clenched at your sides as tears stream freely down your face. “You left him. You just… left him.”
Your voice breaks on the last word, and Annie is at your side in an instant, pulling you toward the couch and forcing you to sit. You let her guide you, shaking as sobs rack your entire body.
“Enough.” Mallory’s voice cuts through the tension like a blade. Her expression is calm, but her tone brooks no argument. "If Butcher’s alive, and we have to assume he is, he can handle himself. You know that better than anyone."
“And if he’s not?” you ask weakly, barely able to get the words out. “If he’s dead, and you just… let him die?”
Mallory’s eyes narrow slightly, but her voice remains firm. "If he’s dead, there’s not a damn thing MM or Frenchie could’ve done to change that. Butcher knew what he was walking into."
Frenchie finally speaks, his voice heavy with guilt. "We spent two days trying to reach him. Radio silence. We even went back, but the lab but it was crawling with Russian military and Vought agents. We couldn’t stay without risking everything. Please, believe us."
You take a deep, shuddering breath, trying to stave off hyperventilation. “And now what?” Your voice trembles. “We just… sit here while Butcher’s out there, dead or alive, and Soldier Boy is loose?”
Mallory’s expression darkens. "First, we need to understand what we’re dealing with. Soldier Boy isn’t just some washed-up relic from the past. He was Vought’s first Supe. Their original model. And if they’ve kept him under wraps for nearly 40 years, there’s a reason."
Annie frowns, still rubbing your shoulders. "What kind of reason?"
Mallory’s gaze hardens, her words grim. "Soldier Boy wasn’t just their first. He was their prototype. And he wasn’t just a weapon on the battlefield, he was a weapon in their political games. 1984 wasn’t just the year he ‘died.’ It’s the year Vought severed ties with Russia… or so they claimed."
Hughie swallows audibly. "You’re saying… Vought’s been playing both sides this whole time?"
Mallory nods. "And Soldier Boy is the key. They either kept him locked away to bury their mistakes, or they’ve been holding onto him for something bigger. And now, he’s loose, and we have no idea what he might do."
A suffocating silence settles over the room. The weight of her words presses down on you like a vise.
“What do we do now?” Annie asks softly, breaking the silence.
Mallory looks each of you in the eye, her voice cold and commanding. "We prepare. Because whatever’s coming next will make everything we’ve faced so far look like child’s play."
~~~
You shuffle through the door into Annie and Hughie’s apartment, detached and lost in thought. Their apartment welcomes you, warm and cozy. A far cry from the cold tension you left behind at the office.
You hover in the entryway, unmoving, like you’re watching the scene unfold from outside your body. Hughie moves to clear some clutter from the couch, murmuring something about making space, while Annie pulls a blanket from the closet, moving around the apartment like any sudden moves might have you sprinting out the door. Their voices sound muted, like they’re coming through a fog. You don’t move. You can’t.
The scent of tea and lavender wafts through the air, carried by the flicker of a candle burning on the kitchen counter. The normalcy of it all twists like a knife in your belly. This is a space meant for safety, for peace, and yet you feel like a live wire, crackling with unspent energy and the anxiety of a million possibilities running through your mind.
“Hey,” Annie’s voice cuts gently through the haze, her hand brushing against your arm. “Why don’t you sit down? You’ve been through a lot today.”
“I’m fine,” you mutter automatically, but your voice is brittle and unconvincing, even to your own ears. It feels like it’s coming from somewhere far away, distant and hollow. “I just… I don’t think I can be alone right now.”
Annie doesn’t push. Her tone is soft, soothing. “You’re not. You don’t have to be.”
Before you know it, she’s guided you to the couch, easing you down onto the cushions as though you might shatter under your own weight. You sink into the seat, your hands instinctively folding over your lap. It’s like the world presses in all at once, the dam you’ve been holding back threatening to break.
The tears come, fast and silent, carving hot trails down your cheeks. You press your palms against your legs, trying to ground yourself, but your fingers catch on the smooth fabric of your dress. It’s only then you realize you’re still in the silk evening gown from the gala.
The sensation of Homelander’s dead eyes burning into you, the deafening applause, the sound of your feet slapping against marble as you escaped all floods back.
You consider for a moment how you must look right now: the elegant drape of the gown, the glint of diamond earrings still dangling from your ears, the streaks of ruined mascara cutting through your makeup like black rivers. You must look insane. The image of yourself, of this absurd, surreal contrast, causes a giggle to bubble up out of you. You force it back down.
You hear soft clinking in the kitchen before Hughie appears, setting a steaming mug on the coffee table before you.
“It’s chamomile,” he says, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly, his boyish sincerity written all over his face. “Nothing fancy, but it’s supposed to be, you know… calming.”
You nod mutely, wrapping your fingers around the mug and letting the warmth seep into your chilled skin. The ceramic feels steady in your trembling hands, grounding you as you blow gently on the rising steam. You focus on the ritual, the warmth, the scent, the motion, anything to keep your mind from spiraling.
Annie returns quietly, a thick blanket folded over her arms. She doesn’t say anything, just drapes it over your shoulders with a gentle touch before sitting beside you. Her presence is calm, steady, but it doesn’t soften the load weighing on your mind.
The silence in the room hangs heavy, thick with everything unsaid.
Every unspoken fear you’ve harbored since the moment Butcher walked out that door floods to the surface.
He’s not coming back. You’ll never see him again. He died alone, cold and scared.
The image of him haunts you. Broken and left behind.
You’ll raise this baby alone, your child never knowing their father. You’ll never again feel his arms around you, his lips against yours, never hear his voice or hold his hand.
And, perhaps cruelest of all, your last words to him weren’t I love you.
A choked breath catches in your throat as tears sting your eyes, but a flicker of something inside you refuses to give in. It’s small, delicate as a candle in a storm, but it’s there. It’s not over. It can’t be. Not yet.
Finally, you exhale shakily, breaking the oppressive stillness. “He’s not dead,” you whisper, your voice trembling and barely audible.
Annie perches on the armrest beside you, leaning closer. Her voice is gentle but cautious. “Hey… we don’t need to talk about this right now, okay? Just rest. Let yourself—”
“He’s not dead,” you interrupt, sharper this time, your voice cutting through hers like glass. “I would know.”
Tears threaten to spill, blurring your vision as you blink them away furiously. You hate this, breaking down like this, letting your emotions spill over. You tighten your grip on the mug, teeth clenched. “God, I’m sorry. I’m being stupid.”
“It’s not stupid,” Hughie says softly, his brow furrowed in concern. He watches you with the same earnest look he always does, like he wishes he could somehow fix it all.
“Yes, it is!” you snap, the words pouring out before you can stop them. “It’s stupid, it’s naive, and it’s exactly why I shouldn’t even be here! I can’t do this—I’m not cut out for this kind of fight.”
Annie leans forward, her tone firm and unwavering. “Hey, don’t. Don’t do that to yourself. You’re here because you can handle this. Mallory sees it. Butcher always saw it. And we see it too.”
Hughie, ever the peacekeeper, adds with a sheepish grin, “And, for the record, none of us are exactly poster children for stability, so you’re in good company. I mean, I’ve been kidnapped, beaten up, almost exploded—”
“And still manages to trip over his own feet during missions,” Annie interjects, a small smile tugging at her lips despite the tension.
“That was one time,” Hughie protests, mock-offended, throwing his hands up.
The brief levity fades, but the knot of anxiety in your gut feels slightly looser. You take a deep, shaky breath as Hughie’s expression grows more serious. “Look, we’ll figure out what’s going on with Butcher. But this whole Soldier Boy thing? It’s big.”
Annie nods, crossing her arms tightly over her chest. “Him being back and the way Homelander went after you at the gala—it’s not a coincidence. But why you? Why now?”
Your mind flashes to Homelander’s chilling, calculated words. The way his gaze seemed to pierce through you. “I think… I think Homelander knows I’m with you guys,” you say quietly, your voice trembling. “At the gala, that speech he made about family and blood—it felt like it was aimed right at me. And then he started walking toward me, like he knew.”
“This is what Vought does,” Annie says grimly, her expression hardening. “They dig into people’s lives, find secrets, twist them, and weaponize them. They’ve been doing it to me for years. It’s how they keep everyone in line.” She pauses, her jaw tight. “But we’re not going to let them win.”
Hughie nods in agreement, his determination mirroring Annie’s. “We’re not.”
For the next hour, they stay with you. Annie brings you a change of clothes, sweatpants and one of her oversized hoodies, and Hughie refills your tea. Their quiet presence, their easy banter, and their stubborn refusal to let you spiral anchor you. Your heart twists at their kindness.
When they finally head to bed, their exhaustion evident in their heavy eyelids and stifled yawns, you sit alone on the couch, wrapped in the blanket Annie gave you. The faint glow of the candle flickers in the corner, the apartment falling into a peaceful quiet.
Just as Annie flips off the light in the hallway, you speak up, your voice soft but full of gratitude. “Annie, Hughie… I just wanted to say thank you. For everything.”
Annie smiles gently, her silhouette framed in the doorway. “Of course. We love you.”
The words settle over you like a balm, and for the first time all night, you let yourself believe, just a little, that you might not have to face this fight alone.
~~~
The car ride back to your apartment the next morning is oppressively quiet. The only sound is the faint hum of the engine and the occasional crackle of the car radio. In the front seat, Annie and Hughie exchange worried glances, their unspoken concern hanging heavy in the air. You sit silently in the back, staring out the window as the city glides by in muted shades of grey and black. Your hands are clenched tightly in your lap, nails digging into your palms, but the sting barely registers.
Sleep had eluded you entirely last night, leaving your mind to churn through an endless parade of horrors. You kept seeing Butcher, injured, afraid, his body broken and bleeding in some icy wasteland. Or worse, locked away in a Russian prison, shackled in the dark, his fury and defiance slowly eroded by despair.
The car pulls up in front of your apartment building, a familiar sight that should’ve brought some semblance of comfort. Instead, it only amplifies the unease curling in your stomach. You force a smile as you reach for the door handle. You’re not sure that you’re ready to be alone just yet.
"Are you sure you’ll be okay?" Annie asks softly, turning in her seat to look at you.
"Yeah," you reply, but the lie is weak and brittle, your voice lacking conviction. "I just… I need a shower and some clean clothes. I’ll see you at the Flatiron later."
You’d all agreed to regroup late in the morning to plan your next steps.
Hughie nods, but hesitation lingers in his expression. "Call if you need anything, okay? I mean it."
"I will," you promise, giving him a small, tight smile before stepping out of the car.
You linger on the curb, waving them off as they drive away, the tail lights disappearing down the street. Turning back to your building, you inhale deeply, hoping that stepping into the familiar space of your apartment will give you a moment to breathe, a chance to center yourself.
That hope evaporates the moment you reach your floor.
Your apartment door is almost gone, hanging crookedly from splintered hinges. The wood is cracked and shattered, the frame obliterated, chunks of it scattered across the hallway like debris from an explosion.
You freeze in place, your heartbeat thundering in your ears. A sickening wave of dread washes over you, turning your stomach.
With shaking hands, you nudge the door open. It creaks on its broken hinges, swinging inward to reveal the chaos within.
Your living room, once your sanctuary, lies in wreckage. The coffee table lies on its side, legs snapped and jagged. The couch cushions have been slashed open, their innards spilling out onto the floor like entrails. Your bookshelves are bare, their contents dumped and scattered. Perhaps worst of all, your photo shelf has been ripped from the wall. The picture frames lay shattered, their contents strewn across the floor.
Your knees buckle slightly as you step forward. Your eyes catch on a familiar photo amid the glass and splinters. Carefully, you pick up the photo of you and your mother from when you were small.  It’s scratched and crumpled, but the faces are still clear. You tuck it gently into your pocket.
The kitchen is worse. The cabinet doors dangle precariously, barely clinging to their hinges. The counters are strewn with broken plates, glasses, and a fine layer of white powder from shattered dishware. A faint, acrid smell of burnt wood lingers in the air, sharp and invasive.
Your breath hitches as you try to process the devastation. This was your home, the one place that was yours, where you could let your guard down. It was where the Boys had shared stolen moments of joy, where candles on birthday cakes burned too brightly, where laughter had filled the space like an antidote to the chaos outside.
Now ruined. Defiled.
You stumble toward your bedroom, navigating the debris littering the floor. Your steps falter as your gaze falls on the wall above your bed.
The message is burned into the plaster, the letters jagged and uneven, like they’d been carved in a blind fury. The words are still faintly smoking, the sickly sweet scent stinging your nostrils.
KNOW YOUR PLACE
You grip the edge of the bed for support as your knees give out. The words loom over you, their venom seeping into your very core.
Your sanctuary, reduced to a symbol of your helplessness, your vulnerability.
This wasn’t random. This wasn’t some petty break-in or senseless act of vandalism.
This was deliberate.
This was Homelander.
The realization strikes you like a blow, knocking the air from your lungs. You thought you’d been careful, that your tracks were covered. But it wasn’t enough. He knows who you are. He knows where you live. And he wanted you to know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he can get to you whenever he wants.
Your mind races with horrifying possibilities. What if you hadn’t stayed with Annie and Hughie last night? What if you’d come home? Would he have been waiting?
You wonder if that was his plan.
Your hands tremble as you fumble for your phone, pulling it from your pocket. You scroll through your contacts with shaking fingers, stopping at Mallory’s number. You press the call button, the ringing filling the silence as you struggle to steady your breathing.
Mallory answers after the first ring, her voice sharp and alert. "Are you at your apartment?"
"Y-yeah," you stammer, your voice cracking. "He—he was here. My door… my place is trashed. He left a message on the wall."
There’s a heavy pause on the other end before Mallory exhales a grim sigh.
"Get to the Flatiron. Now."
"What? Why—"
"He broke in here last night too," Mallory interrupts, her tone leaving no room for argument. "We need to talk. Get here now."
The call ends abruptly, leaving you staring at the screen.
You glance around your destroyed apartment one last time before standing on shaky legs. Gripping the photo of your mother in your pocket like a talisman, you steel yourself and head for the door.
~~~
The scene you’re met with when you arrive at the office is a gut punch.
It looks like a war zone, papers scattered in every direction, desks overturned and smashed, chairs broken like brittle bones. Equipment lies gutted, wires splayed out and ripped apart. The large window on the far side of the room is shattered, shards of glass still clinging precariously to the splintered frame. The cold morning air drifts in through the gaping hole, carrying with it the bustling noise of the city below. The sound feels like an intrusion, a cruel reminder of how thin the veneer of safety had been all along.
The team is already there, a picture of unease frozen in the destruction. Hughie and Annie sit together on a mangled couch, their expressions subdued, eyes shadowed with exhaustion. MM stands off to the side, his face dark with unspoken fury. Near the broken window, Frenchie and Kimiko hover like sentinels, their gazes darting toward every noise, their tense postures a reflection of the chaos around them.
At the far end of the room, Mallory sits behind what remains of a desk, a stack of scattered papers in front of her, her face a mask of grim calculation.
You swallow hard and step further into the ruins, the crunch of glass under your boots punctuating the silence. “What the hell happened?”
Mallory’s gaze lifts to meet yours. She looks tired. More than tired really, like the weight of the world has settled into her bones. “Homelander,” she says flatly. “Same as your place.”
She shuffles through the papers in front of her before plucking one from the pile and holding it up. “Look familiar?”
Your heart stops.
The photo of you and your parents at your high school graduation. All three of you beaming at the camera, cheeks squished together in a too-tight embrace. The last photo of the Morgan family together.
Only now, your parents’ eyes have been scratched out. Jagged red gouges mar the glossy surface, slicing through their faces. The photo trembles slightly in Mallory’s grip as she holds it out to you. The violence of the image feels like a scream in your ears.
Your stomach churns violently, bile rising in the back of your throat.
You clench your fists so tightly your nails bite into your palms. “He knows where I live. What I’ve been doing.”
MM speaks up, his voice a low, measured rumble, though his tone is anything but calm. “He’s sending a message.”
“What do we do?” you ask, your voice wavering.
Mallory’s gaze sharpens, her voice cold and matter of fact. “You’re not going to do anything. You are going into hiding.”
You stare at her, feeling like you’ve been slapped across the face. “What? No. Absolutely not.”
Mallory doesn’t flinch. “You’ve been directly threatened,” she says firmly. “Your safety is compromised, and so is ours if you stay. I’ve arranged for a safe house. There’s a car waiting outside.”
“No!” The word bursts from you, sharp and loud, a mix of anger and disbelief. “I’m not going anywhere! I’m not some damsel you need to shove in a tower until it’s convenient. I’m part of this team, and I’m not going to run just because Homelander’s trying to scare me.”
“It’s not just about you,” Mallory snaps, the sharp edge of her voice slicing through the tension like a blade. “It’s about all of us. Your presence puts everyone here at risk. If you stay, you make us vulnerable.”
You glare at her, anger simmering just below the surface. “I can handle myself. You don’t get to decide I’m useless just because things are heating up.”
Mallory stands then, the scrape of her chair echoing across the silent room. When she speaks, her voice is like steel—cold, unyielding, deliberate. “You want to handle yourself? Fine. Let’s talk about what you’re handling.”
She looks around the room as if daring anyone to challenge her. The others are silent, waiting, their eyes darting between the two of you. Mallory’s next words land like a hammer blow, deliberate and devastating.
“She’s pregnant.”
The room drops into stunned silence.
For a moment, you can’t breathe. The words hit you like a physical force, stealing the air from your lungs. You stare at Mallory, wide-eyed, your heart pounding painfully against your ribs.
Hughie’s voice cracks the stillness, disbelief painted all over his face. “Wait… what?”
You can feel the weight of every gaze drilling into you. You turn, locking eyes with Annie, her expression a mix of hurt, confusion, a flicker of anger. It hits harder than you expect.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” she asks softly, but her voice is laced with betrayal.
“Mallory,” you manage, your voice a strangled whisper. “What the hell are you doing?”
Mallory doesn’t flinch, her gaze unwavering. “I’m telling them the truth.”
The tension coils around your ribs, tightening like a vice. You whirl on Mallory, your words trembling with fury. “You had no right—”
“I had every right,” Mallory interrupts, her tone sharp as broken glass. “You’re not just putting yourself at risk anymore, you’re putting all of us at risk. If Homelander finds out about that baby, Butcher’s baby, he won’t stop until he gets to you. And trust me when I say he’ll rip apart anyone who gets in his way. That’s not a risk I’m willing to take.”
The room feels like it’s spinning. The world tilts under your feet. Your hand trembles as it presses instinctively to your stomach, grounding yourself against the wave of fear crashing over you.
“You didn’t have to do it like this,” you whisper, voice cracking. “You didn’t have to…”
Annie steps forward, shaking her head. Her voice is small and raw. “I don’t understand. I thought we were friends. I thought you trusted me.”
“I do!” The words spill out desperately as you turn to face her, the weight of her disappointment cutting deeper than you imagined. “Annie, I just—I wasn’t ready to tell anyone yet. I didn’t even know how to say it.”
Mallory doesn’t let the moment linger. Her tone turns cold and immovable. “This isn’t up for debate. Hughie, you’re going with her.”
“What?!” Hughie blurts, incredulous. He runs a hand through his hair, his eyes wide. “Why me?”
Mallory levels him with a look that leaves no room for argument. “Because you’re the least likely to survive a fight, and I need someone I can trust to make sure she doesn’t try to sneak back here the moment the car pulls away.”
“Great,” Hughie groans, throwing his hands up. “So now I’m a glorified babysitter. That’s fantastic. Can’t wait.”
“I don’t need a babysitter Mallory, I can still help,” you say, your voice hoarse but determined. “I’m not leaving. I won’t.”
“You’re both going,” Mallory repeats, unflinching. “That’s the end of it.”
Frenchie steps forward, his usual warmth tempered into something more serious. He looks at you, his voice low and gentle. “Ma poupette… We will handle this. You need to go. To stay alive. For yourself. For the bébé.”
Kimiko stands at his side, silent but understanding. She steps closer and places her hand lightly on your arm, her touch soft, grounding. Her dark eyes meet yours, full of quiet compassion. No words pass between you, but her meaning is clear. Go. Live. We’ll fight for you.
You swallow hard, the knots of anger, fear, and helplessness tangling in your chest. Every look of concern feels like an accusation, like a reminder of how exposed, how vulnerable you are.
You turn away from Kimiko, from the team, the knot in your chest growing tighter by the second. Your gaze lands on the broken window, the jagged edges of glass reflecting the pale light of morning. You know Mallory is right. You know it. But the thought of walking away, of hiding, feels like giving up. Like letting Homelander win.
The weight of their silence presses in on you as you stare out at the city beyond the shattered glass, your fists trembling at your sides.
“Fine,” you say finally, your voice low and clipped. “I’ll go.”
Mallory jerks her chin toward the door. “The car’s waiting. Go.”
The room watches as you turn toward the hallway, Hughie trailing just behind. Annie and Mallory follow in silence, their footsteps heavy with all the things left unsaid.
You duck into the car, allowing a respectful distance for Annie and Hughie to linger, saying their goodbyes. Annie strides over to your window as Hughie crawls in.
She stops at the window, her expression tight, but her eyes, those kind, forgiving eyes, are glossy with unshed tears. “I don’t even know what to say to you right now,” she says, her voice shaking with emotion.
The words nearly break you. You blink rapidly, tears pricking at your eyes again. “I’m sorry,” you choke out. “I’m so sorry, Annie.”
Annie reaches in through the open window and grabs your hand, squeezing it tightly. The warmth of her touch cracks something inside you, sending a fresh wave of emotion through you.
“Just… stay safe, okay?” Her voice softens, even as it trembles. “Promise me.”
You nod frantically, your voice barely more than a whisper. “I promise.”
Her thumb brushes across the back of your hand, grounding you in the moment. “I love you,” she says quietly. “I’ll see you soon.”
You squeeze her hand back, holding on as long as you can. “I love you too.”
With one last lingering look, Annie steps back. You roll up the window, your breath hitching as Hughie lets loose a heavy sigh. The car starts to pull away, the rumble of the engine muffling the sound of your quiet sniffles.
You turn to look through the rear windshield. Annie stands there, growing smaller and smaller, the wind tugging gently at her hair. She doesn’t move, doesn’t turn away, until she’s just a distant figure against the backdrop of everything you’ve lost.
The ruins of the last eight months—your home, your safety, your secrets—left behind. And all you can do is stare at the horizon, where your world has shattered, and try to piece together what comes next.

The world blurred in shades of blue, the crackling heat of his own flames roaring louder than his own heartbeat. Toya never wanted this, never wanted to lose control around you, never wanted to see you caught in the firestorm of his rage.
But there you were, standing too close, trying to calm him down.
The moment his fire touched you, reality snapped back into focus. Your cry cut through the inferno like a dagger to the chest, and he saw the way you stumbled back, your arm seared from his flames.
The rage died as quickly as it had ignited. His breath hitched.
"No.. no, no, I—"
He was by your side in an instant, his hands trembling over your wound, afraid to touch you. He could see the blisters bubbling from the intensity of the heat, the pain on your face, but worse than that, the fear. Not of the burn itself, but of him.
That realization made his stomach drop.
"Toya—" you tried to say, but he jerked back, eyes wide, shaking his head.
"I—I hurt you." His voice was hoarse, almost broken. He clenched his fists, forcing himself to breathe, but the guilt was suffocating.
"It was an accident," you insisted in a gentle breath, stepping toward him, but he took a step back.
"That's the problem," he whispered. "It was an accident. And next time.. what if it's worse? What if I can't stop?"
You knew him. Knew that under all the anger, the scars, the sharp edges, he was Toya, not Dabi, just Toya. The young man who loved you in the quiet moments, who held you like you were something precious within his scorched hands.
But right now, he looked at himself as the monster you should run far away from.
"I can't.." He inhaled sharply, turning away. "I won't risk hurting you again."
And with that, he was gone.
Days passed. Weeks. You barely saw him, barely heard his voice. And when you did, it was distant, guarded. Every time you tried to reach him, he put up a wall of cold indifference, but you knew better. This wasn’t him pushing you away because he didn’t care. It was because he did.
But you weren’t about to let him decide what was best for you.
So you found him, alone in the place where he always went when he needed to escape, the rooftop of an abandoned building, where the city lights flickered below like dying embers.
"You’re not as subtle as you think," you said, stepping beside him.
He tensed but didn’t turn to look at you. "You shouldn't be here."
"And you shouldn’t be pulling away from me," you countered. "But here we are."
His jaw clenched. "I'm dangerous."
"And I'm stubborn," you shot back. "Toya, I don’t care if you think distancing yourself from me is going to 'protect me', I’m not leaving."
His hands curled into fists. "You should."
"Do you even hear yourself?" You reached out, placing a hand over his—warm, despite the scars, despite the fire that ran through his veins. "I trust you."
His breath hitched. He finally looked at you, eyes burning with something raw and unspoken. "You shouldn't," he said, but his voice cracked, barely above a whisper.
You squeezed his hand. "But I do."
And that was enough to break him.
Toya exhaled shakily, shoulders sagging as he let you in, let himself believe, for just a moment, that maybe he wasn’t doomed to be alone. His fingers tightened around yours, hesitant, careful but he didn't let go.
"I don’t want to lose you," he admitted, voice barely holding together.
"You won’t," you promised.
But promises alone weren’t always enough for him. He had spent so long convinced that he was nothing but worthless, that anything he touched would inevitably get burned. Yet, here you were, standing before him, scarred but unshaken. Looking at him like he was someone worth holding onto.
He swallowed hard. "What if I mess up again?"
"Then we’ll figure it out together," you said simply, like it wasn’t even a question.
His breath hitched. You made it sound so easy. Like you had no doubt in him, even when he doubted himself.
The weight of it all crashed over him, and before he could stop himself, he pulled you into his arms, holding you so tight, as if he could press you into the very core of him, past the fire, past the broken pieces. His body trembled from the sheer, overwhelming relief of having you here.
"I don’t deserve you," he mumbled into your hair, voice a low rumble.
"You don’t get to decide that," you murmured against his chest, wrapping your arms around him in return.
For the first time in weeks, the tightness in his chest eased. You were here. Despite everything, despite him and what he had done you stayed.
Toya didn’t believe in happy endings. He didn’t believe in second chances, not for someone like him. But the way you held him, made him feel like he wasn’t something to be afraid of. Toya let himself believe it.
In that moment, he wasn't just fire and chaos—he was yours.

Lucifer went over to Adam and gently wiped a tear away, Adam didn't even realize he had been crying that hard until he looked up and his vision was blurry.
Adam: I-I'm sorry.....
Lucifer: Don't be sorry, you're allowed to feel your feelings.
That made Adam cry more, it was unbecoming of a prince to show emotion in front of others that weren't happiness.
Without thinking, he pulled Lucifer into a hug and cried on his little shoulder. The goblin gently held him and just let him cry. When Adam stopped he dried his face.
Adam: ..... Why did your mom keep you in?
Lucifer went and got him a cloth to clean his face: It was more for my safety. Not being fully goblin put me at risk. One time when she took me out to the community when I was newly born, someone snatched me from her arms and was going to throw me into the river. This was before my father died and he saved me. My mother never let me leave again until I grew up.
Adam: That's horrible.....
Lucifer: I'm glad I was too young to remember it. My mother died of sickness two years ago, this is her home that my father built.
He looked down sadly when he remembered his father's fate.
Adam: I'm sorry to hear that. What of your father?
Lucifer: ...... The community stoned him to death. Shit the soup!
He ran over as it started to bubble over the edge. Adam was horrified to hear they did that.
The Beast and the Goblin
@things-arent-what-they-seem66
Once upon a time there was a grand kingdom called Paradisus. It was filled with the most beautiful people in all the land. But the true gem above all the rest was Prince Adam.
He was the first born son of Queen Sera, a single woman who died shortly after their daughter Princess Emily was born.
Both were beautiful beings in their own right but none so than Adam. His skin was kissed by the sun, His head was full of thick brown curls, his body and face were as if it was crafted by the Heavens themselves.
But it was his eyes that were his most prominent feature. They were the most dazzling honey filled orbs that one could simply get lost in.
But what made him truly beautiful was his kind character and love for nature around him. His ability to charm others and make them laugh made those who met him fall in love with him.
Everyone in the kingdom who saw him ,even if it was only once, wanted him. That included the all powerful fairy Lilith.
One day she approached the young prince and asked for his hand in courtship. She told him, two beautiful souls such as themselves deserve each other.
However, much to her shock he rejected her. He stated that while indeed she was gorgeous he simply had no interest in her.
Disheartened and humiliated the fairy had promised that this handsome but foolish prince would pay.
And she knew exactly the right way to do it.
It was a quiet night in the castle nothing but the rain outside made much sound. The guards were patrolling the grounds while the servants slept in their quarters. The royal family each in their own chambers.
Sitting at his vanity Prince Adam admired himself as he stroked his chocolate locks with his comb. The Prince had nothing but a black nightgown in, for secretly he always did prefer gowns from pants.
Nightgowns especially were the most comfortable. They also were best for he only wore them in the privacy in his own chambers.
However, that was about to change.
A strike of lightening spooked Adam causing him to drop his brush to the floor. He bent down to retrieve it and when he was staring at his mirror again there he saw Lilith in the background.
Adam screeched turning around in terror: What the Hell are you doing here!? How did you even get in!?
Lilith chuckled darkly: Oh you stupid prince don’t you realize who I am? I can literally go anywhere I want and not a single thing can stop me.
Adam: But not my personal guards, LUTE! VAGGIE HELP!!!
He screamed at the top of his lungs but he didn’t hear a single step towards his doors.
Lilith: They will be no use to you dear, I made it so no one can hear what I’m about to do. I’ll need full concentration on this one.
Adam suddenly felt fear grip him like a python: W, what do you want with m, me?
Lilith: Nothing much, just this.
Adam screamed as he was hit pain unlike any other racking all over his body.
Lilith: Hehe, and so it begins, with this pain I bring another make it so they’ll be smothered. I ask your spirits to curse this man, to bring upon him the curse of beast. Make him brutish, meal him ugly, make him so another would never cast a glance his way, make it so that they scream on sight from his wretched looks, make him so he will never find love of his own kind. Make that a promise.
Adam fells to the floor as he writhed in agony. He shut his eyes, tears still spilling through as he felt his body start to change.
He felt something sharp protrude from his skull, and the hair on his body grew rapidly. Wrapping him like a coat. He felt and heard his gown ripped from his middle as his stomach twisted.
It was all just too much.
Soon though it was finished, the pain subsided, and he could hear his tormenter cackling.
Lilith: Oh, this is even better than I ever thought it would be!
He yelped once more as Lilith picked him up and dragged him back to the mirror.
What he saw made him almost faint on the spot.
There in the mirror was a beast staring right at him. Its fur was black as night, with skin grey like ash, it had sharp, long horns that curled around its skull.
Its fangs glistened as its muzzle was gapped opened, and its long goat-like ears flicked with life.
It was the most horrid creature he had ever laid eyes on. With horror, he watched as Lilith lowered herself to the beast ear and heard her whisper right into his,
Lilith: Who will think you're beautiful now?

somethin’ sweet before i go ˚ ♡ ⋆。 vi + fem!reader
synopsis : when your arrest turns out to be an attractive, arrogant zaunite who’s, obviously, had a bad night, there’s one thing she asks for before being turned in. c’mon, can’t you give her something sweet before handing her to a cold cell?

“hey, princess, any chance you’re sweet enough to loosen these up a bit?” your pinkette prisoner grunts, rolling a kink out her neck.
your expression is nothing short of unimpressed for the taunting games your newest problem has come up with. glaring up from your paperwork, you bit the inside of your cheek in frustration, “quit with the pet names—do you find your situation funny?” you turn around to face the arrogant zaunite, cuffed hands extended behind her back. you found it rather annoying how nonchalant she was—or worst, she found this amusing. “you are being detained for assault,” you continue, “that’s a night in jail, ‘sweet stuff.’” mocking her previous taunt.
she just scoffed, but it was far from being insulted. a sly smirk and dangerous blue eyes peaking beneath cherry strands looked up at you.
“ya’ think i’m sweet, princess?”
you hear the familiar clanking of metal rubbing against each other, bringing attention to her restraints.
“undo the cuffs and i’ll treat you sweet all nigh-“ her prurient statement cut off by the force of your forearm knocking into her chest, subsequently shoving her against the wall.
“you forget yourself, trencher,” your arm jabs in the smug, although rather charming (and quite attractive), outlaw’s chest, and her eye twitches in a wince. “you’re in my territory now—it’d suit you well to not make a fool of me; i’m sure you’ve been taught the same in that… mess of a city across the bridge.”
your tongue held venom as you almost seemingly spat out the insult like it was truly sickening to speak of. there’s an unspoken challenge being held between the both of your glares. you tack on a huff from your flared nostrils to seal the conversation and to warn the zaunite in front of you from talking back.
but as the tense silence subsides, the cherry-haired woman draws out a teasing smirk, scoffing again, “ever been to the undercity, sweet-cheeks?”
her question seemed more rhetorical than anything. you didn’t answer, clenching your jaw, keeping your eyes fixated on hers as to not give a look of submission. she took your quietness as a ‘no’ and raised a brow,
“thought so.”
she leaned her head in closer, as close as your arm would allow—although, there wasn’t much distance to set you apart anyways. her eyes lidded now as your confidence wavered from the almost predatory air hung around her; like when a lion, hidden in the tall grass, gets a perfect angle of their prey.
“they’d eat that pretty, little ass up as soon as you stepped foot beyond that bridge.”
you gasped, quietly, eyes widened at her obscene words. you could already feel your body betraying you, blood involuntarily heating up the plump of your cheeks.
the arm held sturdy against your prisoner was now weak, a second thought; not to her, no, that was accordingly.
calloused hands snaked their way to your waist, armored with enforcer gold, a symbol of integrity to wear, resolute.
your eyes flicked to the (god, she is attractive) woman near inches away; you were trapped in a lion’s den, she was already staring back at you.
“how di—when did you…”
so much for standing your ground—your stuttering voice gave it all away.
“what? get those things off?” she chuckled, motioning back behind her, “you were right ‘bout one thing, princess: i learned a whole deal in that ‘mess of a city’.”
she near whispered your quote, not hushed, but emphasized, troublingly so. her hands wandered, dangerously, coming to settle at the plush of your hips, hips that had you bent atop her. a deft thumb pushed pass your attire and gently circled into your bare skin.
“are you… are you gonna hurt me?” you pressed your lips in a fine line, apprehensively awaiting a dreaded answer.
but to your surprise, she paused, then snorted, and in a quick motion, she manhandled you to sit on her lap. you yelped in shock, your hands were rigid against her chest that you were so very close to now; stiff as a board as you feared for the worst.
“can’t a girl want somethin’ sweet before you send me to a cold, hard cell, huh?” now the finger in charge of exploring your supple skin came to swipe at your plush bottom lip. “but if you want it to hurt i can make that happen too.” her voice was sultry, thick with an insatiable desire.
your proximity gave you a chance to see the small initial tattooed on her cheek, “vi.” you spoke out loud, really only for you to memorize.
vi smirked, “yeah, princess? don’t wear it out just yet.”
your brows furrowed, pursing your lips; you tried to move, but vi had a firm hold on your hips that just wouldn’t let up… (not that you even tried that hard). “piltover station will be here soon… we can’t—i can’t be seen like this; this is unprofessional.”
“when’d you make that call?” honestly, vi was barely listening to your reluctance and excuses, busying herself with unfastening your gold belt that you hardly even noticed.
“an hour ago.”
“then we have an hour to ourselves. c’mon, do you really think ‘proper piltover station’ is any more worried about a call for an undercity scum than the rest of the hundred they receive a day? they’re preoccupied with the councilors after that attack… seems to me like they left you out the loop, hot stuff.”
you took offense to her insulting jab at your importance, disregarding her sing-song mockery of addressing piltover station. you reached for her wrist that was unbuttoning the blue fabric of your enforcer two-split skirt, “what is that supposed to mean?”
she took no notice to your grip and pushed aside the outer garment, glancing back up at you through that addictive, crimson hair. she gave a dry smirk, “didn’t mean to rile you up, princess—just meant that i could treat you better than them.”
that betraying flush tickled your cheeks once again, and you, rather hesitantly, let way of your grasp, allowing her to do what she needs.
she snorted, in an amused manner, tapping your thigh, “sit up.” how shameful it was for you, an enforcer, to take commands from anyone else—let alone an… undersider. yet, here you were, standing upright as she told you to, albeit a little more eager than intended; you hoped she hadn’t noticed.
she noticed.
her legs spread out on the chair, making her appear even larger than her stature gave her credit for. she bent over, resting her elbows on her thighs as she pulled at the hem of your khaki shorts. you assisted and looped two thumbs at the waistband to shimmy down your legs. your shorts pooled at your feet and vi leaned back to admire the sexy sight she had in front of her with a grin on her face.
a pretty enforcer, nervous as can be, with a half-undone uniform and pink, lace panties exposed just for her. what a contrasting view. you were captivating. already trained to take orders like a puppy, she’d think in her crude mind; you’d be her good girl for a while, you’d be so good for her.
with two fingers, she motioned for you to come sit back down on her lap; the way her legs manspread was inviting enough. you obliged, holding onto her broad shoulders.
those engrossing fingers came back to handle your hips, slowly moving to cup the mound of your ass and kneading. you huffed, painted nails digging into her trapezius.
“ya’ like pink, princess?” she mentioned your cute, lacey panties; although, now stained a darker shade.
your eyes flickered up to her hair before timidly searching anywhere else to keep your focus busy. vi found that cute, not admitting that that turned her on way more than it should.
“i don’t disdain it.” you purse your lips, “and quit calling me that.”
vi chuckled, “but you’re poised, like a princess.”
“you have no idea of me.”
“well, i know you’re risking your title just so i can get you off,” fingers go to trace the hem of your panties, her middle drags along your clit muffled by the fabric. she grins, “and by the looks of it, you’re enjoying the thrill.”
you gasp at the sensation, a feeling your pussy was aching for. “is it because you know we might get caught? geez, princess, you into that kind of thing?” she almost laughs at you, but not to mock you; she finds that hot as fuck.
adept hands push the annoying polyester to the side. fingers, rather spider-like, creep over your throbbing cunt; middle and index gather your pooling slick to act as lube as she glides over your clit.
you bite your lip to suppress a moan. you find your legs begin to tremble, being forced open by her own, keeping you spread for her to do as she likes.
“i didn’t know topsiders could be so dirty.” this time she does laugh. she rubs at your clit long enough for your heart rate to pick up, long enough for your head to find stability on her shoulder, long enough for you to become a mess in her hands… but, not long enough for you to get off just yet.
vi reaches down to your neglected hole, pressing her index atop it, deep enough for an audible squelch to echo through your office, which in turn makes vi groan. you mewl, nails digging deeper into the muscle of her back.
“not so poised now, though.” she mutters, mostly to herself. with your dripping slick, it takes nothing more than a swift movement for vi to slide her index inside you, bottoming out knuckles deep. you keen, arching off her chest. the scratch from her bandages only added fuel to the fire.
“fuck.” vi’s grip on your hip strengthens, almost certainly leaving a prominent bruise later. “do that for me again, princess.”
and she didn’t have to ask because as she pulls her finger almost fully out, tantalizingly slow, she greedily shoves it right back in, curling the tip of it to hit in that, god, that perfect spot you know so well.
and, again, you keen, long and guttural—like a silent scream. subconsciously, your pelvis bucks into her hand, searching for more than you could even take.
after a few minutes of this, vi deems herself your voice and determines you’re ready for two. she pulls out entirely, much to your dismay, teasing you with a pause.
you brace yourself for something that never comes, and you huff, slightly pushing yourself up off her shoulder,
“vi… don’t st—“
and she stuffs her middle and index into your pretty, impatient pussy.
“ah!”
“who said i was stopping, pumpkin? we just started.” you slam your head back to its assigned spot.
vi thought she was right in this moment: you looked a complete and utter mess. it was one thing to fuck a pretty girl, it was another thing that she had a topsider, an officer—someone who, to piltover, was a woman of dignity and honor… a rich, privileged somebody who hated zaunites, found them filthy and worthless…hunched over her shoulder with a sopping cunt you were practically begging her to abuse. now that’s ironic. (and was you coming undone for her maybe a little bit of a victory for her hatred of topside, that she was degrading—fucking someone so noble?)
“shit, baby,” vi cursed, biting her lip. her whole train of thought did nothing but make her more horny, and she pumped extra hard this time, making sure even the graze of her knuckle filled you up.
“when’s the last time someone’s fucked you like this?” she chuckled—you hated her smug little laugh.
you sneered, just not before you moaned into the crook of her neck, breath fanning over her black-inked tattoos. “that’s, fuck, none of your concern, underside.” you spat, but, really, your words held no weight, not like this.
“hey, no need for the name calling, princess; if you’re a virgin too that’s totally fine—honestly kinda hot.” she teased, grabbing the mound of your ass to raise you up and slam back down on her fingers. you cried, your hands instinctively reaching up to tangle in that (rememberable) cherry hair.
“i’m not!—i’ve had—ugh! i’ve done this plenty of times… not that, ah, you should need to know.”
“oh yeah? you fuck a lot of your inmates then?… or is that just my privilege?” vi leaned into your ear, knowing that’d get you going. and what do you know? it did.
and you would’ve argued back, head picked up and everything, had she not curled her fingers the way she did or twist to find an ever better playing field or, god! even the lechery in her voice had you toppling over, had you right there! yes, fuck, right there!
“fuck, vi, right there! keep going! yeah, right there, ugh!” you moaned, legs shaking, trying desperately to close and hide away from how fucking good this felt.
you bucked into her hand and you didn’t have to tell vi twice because she was already pumping extra hard and faster than before, with a combination of her thumb rubbing circles into your swollen clit.
“shit, princess. almost there?” she already knew the answer. she was groaning as if she was fucking herself; just the pure sight of you, of this, was enough… although, she’d need to engrave this memory into her brain and use it later to get off herself (she could use this picture of you to get off for years it felt like).
“vi!”
you sang like gospel, pulling her hair like you’d fall if you hadn’t. you came hard, right on her bandaged fingers and she road you through it until the only thing you could hear in the room was the lewd, wet noises coming from your hole.
she stuffed you full of your own juices and at that point, you couldn’t tell if that or her hands were more filling.
you were both panting, one more than the other. vi hoisted your left leg over hers to hold you bridal style as you settled down. bringing her hand to the light, she pulled apart her middle and index to watch your slick web between them and she weakly laughed.
blue eyes looked over to the gold, industrial clock you had sitting on your work-desk, reading a quarter til’ 12. she sighed, picking you up with her before setting you on the chair you had originally handcuffed her to.
“looks like i gotta go, princess.” she feigned innocent, as if this whole interaction was a drive by. one by one she picked up discarded clothing and crouched at your legs to dress you back up. you, too tired to protest to being treated like a child, let her dress you like a doll, even buckling up your belt.
you watched as she went to write something on a piece of sticky note paper you had sitting by your confidential files before turning to walk out the door, running a hand through her hair.
“you can’t leave—you’re… you’re under arrest.” there was no confidence in your tone, just a fucked out raspy voice.
vi stopped before leaving, hands in her pockets, “tell ‘em officer kiramann already came to pick me up, they won’t give you trouble.” she threw the hood of her red jacket over her head, reaching for the doorknob.
“oh, and… meet me at my place if you wanna do this again… okay, princess?”

The bass from the speakers rattled the glass in your hand as you leaned against the porch railing, eyes scanning the backyard for him—Rafe.
It had been a long month.
Longer than you thought it would be. Usually, when you and Rafe had your little “breaks,” they lasted about a week, maybe two at most. It was always something stupid, a screaming match that ended with slammed doors and his truck peeling out of your driveway. But it never lasted. It couldn’t. You’d known each other too long, been through too much, and deep down, there was this unspoken truth—he’d always come back. Or, you would.
But this time was different.
This time, he wasn’t calling or showing up at your window in the middle of the night, eyes tired and sorry, pulling you into his arms. The space between you had been growing wider since his dad died. And sure, maybe it was your fault for what you said after Ward’s death—But it was the truth.
Still, you hadn’t expected him to shut you out completely. Two months. Two months of silence. And the only thing you’d heard about him since was through Ruthie, Topper’s new girlfriend, of all people. A random comment at Mase’s place—something about how Rafe had been hanging around some pogue girl named Sofia.
You’d rolled your eyes at that. Rafe? With some Pogue? Yeah, right. You’d pretended not to care when she tossed it out like it was nothing
You weren’t stupid.
You’d always known Rafe wasn’t the easiest guy to love. He was complicated, angry, reckless—but so were you. And in some messed-up way, that’s why you two worked. Or at least, why you thought you did. You were just as stubborn, just as damaged. But now, as you sipped your drink and looked around, something felt off. Your gut was tight, and that nagging feeling that’d been growing restless under your skin since the breakup only grew stronger the longer you stood there.
You pushed yourself off the railing, discarding your drink on a table before moving through the crowd, past people you knew but didn’t bother with. Your mind was set on one thing—Rafe. You were done with the break. You had your space. It’s time to get back together. It was never even really a question. It was just the way things worked with you two.
But then there was Ruthie—blocking your path, her wide smile dripping with the kind of smugness that set your teeth on edge. She looked like she was reveling in your misery and that little giggle she let out only made it worse.
"So glad you could make it!" she sang out, her voice too sweet, too bright. Her eyes flickered over you like she was sizing you up, taking stock of every inch of your perfectly put-together outfit.
You forced a smile, “Yeah, well, wouldn’t miss a party like this,” you said, keeping your tone casual.
You weren’t in the mood for whatever game she was playing.
“Oh, I just bet,” she replied, her smile growing wider. She stepped closer, her breath reeking of cheap wine, and you had to resist the urge to roll your eyes. Ruthie always drank too much at these things.
What the hell was her problem? She always acted like she knew something you didn’t, like she held the keys to all the dirty little secrets in Kildare, and she loved dangling them in front of people just to watch them squirm.
“Ruthie, I swear to God—” you began, but she cut you off, her grin widening.
“Oh, honey,” she cooed, her voice dripping with fake sympathy, “don’t get mad at me. I’m just the messenger. You should really be talking to Rafe about this.” She took a step back, still smiling, and glanced over her shoulder. “He’s around, you know. You can go find him yourself. See how cozy he’s gotten with her.”
You bit your tongue, jaw, forcing yourself to stay calm. She was trying to get under your skin, like the snake she’d always been. You couldn’t believe Top was lonely and horny enough to finally fall into her claws.
“Thanks for the tip,” you gave her a tight lipped grimace, brushing past her, didn’t try and wait for her reply.
You only caught glimpses of empty rooms along the way. You hadn’t seen him since the break, and part of you didn’t want to admit how much that messed you up. How much he messed you up. Your steps slowed as you neared the hall that led to the back of the house, the sound of voices filtering through the air. You recognized some, laughed at the drunken ramblings, until one voice cut through the noise. Rafe’s.
And then you heard hers. No fucking way.
You didn’t stop. You couldn’t. You told yourself you just needed to see him, just talk to him, tell him this break had gone on long enough, that you were done with the games. That’s when you heard it again—her laugh. It was light, flirtatious, the kind of laugh that made your stomach turn into a million different directions because you knew exactly what it meant.
She was there, with him.
You moved forward, the hallway barely lit as you reached the half-closed bathroom door. Your breath hitched, hands trembling as you peeked through the small crack, unable to stop yourself from looking.
There they were.
She was smiling, laughing softly at something he’d said, her fingers brushing through her hair as if she didn’t have a care in the world. Your breath caught in your throat as you watched his hands move, tying the knot in her bikini with such gentle precision like he’d done it a thousand times. The kind of softness he used to have with you. And then he said it, his voice teasing, amused like this was some kind of inside joke between them.
"God, this is just landing right in my lap, isn’t it?"
You froze.
He laughed quietly, his lips brushing against Sofia’s shoulder as he tied the last knot, and the way he touched her—like she was something to be savored—sent a rush of pure, burning humiliation straight through your chest.
You stumbled back, your heart pounding in your ears as Rafe’s words repeated over and over in your head. Landing right in my lap. What the fuck was this?
Your heart clenched, vision blurring as what you were seeing slammed right into you. You backed away, your hand flying to your mouth to stop the sob from escaping. But it didn’t help. Not even à little. The tears burned, and you turned quickly, practically running back through the house and out the door before anyone could see the humiliating mess you were becoming.
It was real. He moved on. In two fucking months.
That’s all it had taken for him to replace you. To be done with you. He was over you. Just like that.
After everything you’d been through together, after all the times you had to pull him out of his own darkness, after the nights spent in his arms when you thought you couldn’t breathe because your whole family was gone—after years of being his and him being yours—how the fuck could he move on when you’d been rotting away in self loathing for pushing him away?
Your head spun as you stumbled down the steps, out to the street where your car was parked. You couldn’t breathe. Your breaths were coming out too fast, too shallow, and your hands were shaking so hard you had to press them against your knees to hold yourself up.
What the hell was wrong with you? You hadn’t even had anything to drink.
But your stomach was rolling, twisting in knots so tight you could barely stand straight. You leaned against the side of your car, the cool metal grounding you to reality for a second before a wave of nausea hit, forcing you to double over and retch onto the pavement. Tears stung your eyes as you coughed, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand.
You felt dizzy, disgusted even, everything you thought you knew, everything you thought was yours, had been ripped out from under you.
Without a single warning. Not a text, not a stupid call, just pure indifference. No respect or regard for you. None of them. Everything you’d just seen replayed in your mind—Rafe, her, the way he touched her like she meant something to him.
“Look who’s still standing!” Topper’s voice. He was laughing as he strolled over, hands shoved in his pockets, that same carefree grin on his face that he always had at parties. “Jesus, what did you have to drink? You look like you’ve been hit by a truck.”
Normally, you might have had something to say back, maybe a fiery insult or a roll of your eyes. But right now, everything felt like too much. You couldn’t say a word. You could barely breathe.
Your cousin stopped beside you, his grin dropping as he finally looked at you. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He leaned down, trying to catch your eyes. “You good? You look kinda—"
You cut him off, the question was heavy, like a lump lodged in your throat. “Did you know?”
He blinked, the confusion spreading across his face. “Know what?”
You swallowed, your heart hammering in your chest as you forced the words out, your voice shaking. “About Rafe and Sofia.”
You hated saying her name.
Hated that you’d been forced to know it by heart. Topper’s smile dropped, his expression changing.
He didn’t answer. He didn’t have to, you knew him well enough to read his micro expressions. You clenched your fists, it felt like you were the only one in the island who’d been let out of the secret.
Surely, your friends, your only family would’ve told you something right? It’s not like you were on a remote island away from them. You’d spent the last month in New York, not in the fucking jungle. You visited occasionally. You were a call away.
“Did everyone fucking know?”
Topper exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Look, we didn’t think it was serious. You know how it is with you two—you’ve done this before. Played with other people…”
Played with other people. Like you and Rafe were just some game, a revolving door of heartbreak and hookups. It didn’t make sense. You’d always known how it worked, understood how these things went—sure, you’d had your minor flings, and he’d had his, but it was never real.
You stumbled back, feeling like you might collapse. “Oh my God, I’m going to be sick again.”
He reached out, obviously concerned since he hadn’t seen you in this desperate state in years, “Hey, hey, calm down. Look, it’s not like it means anything. Rafe’s just—he’s going through a lot with his dad dying, and he… he’s just messing around. You know how he gets.”
But the words did nothing to soothe you. They only made it worse—how everyone knew. How they’d all watched Rafe move on, while you were stuck, still reeling from the breakup, thinking he’d come back like he always did. And he was just out there, with her.
With someone else. You pressed a hand to your stomach, your head hurting. The idea of Sofia, of Rafe being with someone else in ways that only you knew—ways that had always been yours—made you feel like you were being torn apart.
Topper was still talking, still trying to rationalize it, but his words were like static now, blending into the noise of the party behind you. “It doesn’t mean anything,” he was saying. “You know how it goes. You always end up back together. He’s just doing whatever to distract himself.”
That word. Distract himself. Like your entire relationship could be boiled down to that—a series of distractions until you decided to come back to each other, to pick up the pieces and pretend everything was okay.
You could still remember the night your life changed—the phone call, the horrible, gut-wrenching moment when you learned that your family’s private plane had gone down. Your parents. Your sister. Gone. Just like that. And Rafe had been the one to pull you through it. He was the one who had held you as you cried so hard you thought you were going to die, who sat with you in silence when you couldn’t bring yourself to speak, who stayed with you every single night because you were terrified to be alone in a haunted mansion that now felt like a mausoleum.
You had been seventeen, and losing them all at once had killed something inside of you. But he was there. He wasn’t perfect—far from it—but he knew what it was like to grieve.
He knew loss. He understood. Because you’d been there for him two years earlier, when his mom lost her battle to cancer. You could still see the look in his eyes that day—fourteen years old and already drowning in so much anger and sadness, like the world had ripped something essential out of him.
The way he cried at her funeral when he thought no one was watching, and you’d found him, sat beside him in the cold, letting him cry without saying a word. You hadn’t started dating yet, hadn’t crossed that line, but something had changed between you two in those moments.
A connection, a bond forged in shared pain, in the kind of trauma that no one else really got. Maybe that was why you were so obsessed with each other. Maybe it was fucked up, but you couldn’t imagine anyone else understanding you the way Rafe did.
How could it all come down to this? To you standing here, feeling like the world was ending while he moved on, laughing and touching someone else like nothing you had ever been through mattered?
Was that it? Did that one moment, that one argument about Ward, erase everything you’d done for him?
All the times you’d been there, the way you had comforted him when he felt like his life was spiraling? You remembered exactly what you’d said a month after the funeral, when your boyfriend blamed everyone but Ward for his own death. "He wasn’t a good person, baby. I know he was your dad, but you can’t pretend like he didn’t fuck you up."
You hadn’t even said it to hurt him, not really. It was just the truth. Ward had been a terrible father, controlling and manipulative, and you’d spent years watching Rafe try to live up to some impossible standard, chasing his father’s approval like it would ever be enough. But that didn’t make it easier for him to hear. You should have known better. You should have known how raw he was after losing his dad, how complicated his feelings were.
But instead, you’d been brutal. Honest, but brutal.
And now, two months later, here you were—staring at the empty street, wondering if you’d pushed him too far. If that one moment of honesty was enough to make him forget everything else. Now you were just the ex, the crazy one who didn’t know when to keep her mouth shut.
“Fuck, why did I say that?” you whispered to yourself, voice shaking. Why couldn’t you have just let it go?
But then another clarity of anger took over you, pushing away the guilt that had been building inside. So you’d been too harsh about Ward. So you’d said what everyone else had been too scared to say. It wasn’t like you’d been wrong. Ward had messed Rafe up.
Everyone knew it. He knew it, deep down.
You gritted your teeth, staring out at the dark street, the low hum of the party still buzzing faintly behind you. You were never going to get that picture out of your head. Like they hadn’t just met, like you hadn’t spent years learning how to calm Rafe when he spiraled, how to hold him together when he couldn’t hold himself.
Your chest tightened again, a bitter taste rising in your throat.
You could still feel the weight of his head on your shoulder that night, years ago, when his mom passed. The silent sobs that shook his body, the way he’d held onto you. That was the real Rafe—the one he hid from everyone else. The one who was lost and broken underneath all the anger. And you’d seen him, really seen him in ways no one else ever could. Not Sofia. Not anyone.
"Look, you're emotional, okay? I get it. Maybe it's that time of the month or something. You know how you always get when your hormones go crazy."
The words got to you, but not in the way he probably thought they would. At first, it pissed you off, like it always did when people tried to downplay your emotions. Everyone always said you felt too much. That you were out of control.
But then…
You stopped moving, blinking rapidly as his words spiraled around in your brain. ‘Time of the month’, he'd said.
Your heart started doing summersaults, your stomach dropping as the idea settled in. You grabbed your phone, hands trembling like leaves as you opened the calendar app. You scrolled, trying to think, trying to remember when you’d last…fuck.
You hadn’t had your period in… so long.
Almost two months. No. No, no, no. This couldn’t be happening. It had to be some kind of fucked up joke.
You felt light-headed as you reached for your car again, your body shaking so badly you could barely stand against the door. "Shit."
How could you not have noticed?
Topper noticed the change in you instantly, his brow furrowing. "What’s wrong with you?" he asked, his tone softening a little. "You okay?"
You couldn’t even form a sentence. Your brain was too full of what-ifs. Two months late.
You hadn't even thought about it until now—everything had taken so much space in your head that you hadn't noticed the most obvious sign. This wasn’t possible. Your hand flew to your stomach, almost instinctively. You had no idea what to do with the panic creeping up your throat.
“Shit,” You hissed, this time louder, trying to push the growing dread down. But it wouldn't go away.
He was still staring at you, “What? What’s going on? You’re freaking me out.”
But you were already backing away, shaking your head, “I—I need to go,” You mumbled, barely hearing yourself.
Your cousin moved quickly to block your path as you tried to make your way toward the door. That kind of protective streak only made you want to shove past him even more.
"You’re not driving in this state." he warned you, voice firm, his hands up like he was trying to physically stop you.
You just glared at him, “Fucking watch me.”
He didn’t budge. "You get in that car and I'm calling Rafe," he said, sounding dead serious.
You couldn’t believe it. Your head was already spinning, and he was trying to guilt-trip you like this was some kind of helpful thing to do? You threw your hands up in frustration, voice rising, cracking. "He’s too busy fucking Sofia. Knock yourself out."
The words felt like venom in your mouth, the bitterness rolling off your tongue. You didn’t care how harsh they sounded. You didn’t care about anything anymore except getting away from this suffocating stupid place. Before he could say anything else, you made your move. You pushed past him with all your strength, chest hurting with the urge to feel something other than this suffocating mess of emotions and confusion.
Your hands shook as you fumbled for your keys. You managed to unlock the door, sliding into the driver’s seat, the cool leather biting into your skin.
You needed to think. But all you could think about was that one, terrifying realization: you might be pregnant.
Your breath hitched, terror swirling around your chest. The calendar app was still open on your phone, the dates staring back at you like a flashing red warning sign, daring you to confront the truth you’d been ignoring. Two months. Two months without a period. And you hadn’t even noticed. You pressed a hand to your stomach again, heart pounding as if it was trying to escape your chest. This couldn’t be happening. Not now. Not like this.
You weren’t thinking clearly—shit, you weren’t thinking at all, but you couldn’t stay here. Not with Topper trying to baby you, not with him out there, living his best life like you didn’t even exist.
You turned the key, the engine roaring to life, and just as you gripped the wheel, ready to peel out of the driveway, Topper bolted in front of the car, planting himself right there like some kind of human roadblock. Fucking idiot. His arms were stretched out wide, like he could somehow stop you by sheer willpower.
“You’re not doing this, I swear to God, you’re not!” he yelled, his voice frantic, echoing off the dark street. He looked panicked, pleading even, like he was convinced you’d actually go through with it.
You gritted your teeth, eyes narrowing on him through the windshield. “Top, I swear, you have three seconds before I run you over.”
“Are you serious right now?” he yelled, his voice cracking with disbelief. But he didn’t move. “You think I’m letting you drive like this? You’re out of your fuckin’ mind!”
Your fingers gripping the wheel so hard it hurt. You weren’t bluffing. You were too wound up, too out of control. The only thing keeping you from flooring him was the fact that, deep down, you knew your cousin didn’t deserve it.
You just needed to get out of here.
“Move!” you screamed, “I’m not joking’, Topper. Get the fuck out of my way!”
His face twisted with frustration as he looked over his shoulder, something catching his attention. He started waving, yelling at someone, his voice cutting through the night, “Rafe! Dude, get over here!”
Your brain stopped. It was like everything had been sucked out of you. Your hands froze on the wheel, your entire body locking up as you looked to your right and saw him—Rafe. Right there in the yard.
And she was with him. He had his arm draped around her casually, like she belonged there.
Like he belonged there, just standing in the open, so stupidly comfortable in his new life. His head turned when he heard Topper call out, and your eyes locked for a less than a second. A moment too long. A moment that broke something inside you.
While Topper was distracted, his attention on Rafe, you made your move. You slammed your foot on the gas, tires screeching as the car lurched forward, swerving just enough to dodge Topper’s stunned figure. You heard him yell after you, but his voice faded into the background noise as you sped away.
You didn’t look back. Not at Top, not at Rafe.
The only thing you could hear was the sound of your own heartbeat pounding in your ears, drowning out everything else. You hated this. Hated that you were crying. Hated that you’d let yourself get to this point.
“God, what is wrong with me?” you muttered, your voice quavering as the words tumbled out. “Why the fuck am I crying over him? I shouldn’t be crying over him.” You slammed your palm against the steering wheel, angry, disgusted with yourself.
You’d told yourself you were stronger than this—that after everything you’d been through, you didn’t need him or anyone else. But here you were, falling apart like some pathetic excuse of a mess because of him. Because he had always been there, hadn’t he? After the crash, after you lost everything, he was the one constant, the one person who kept you from completely losing it. You’d relied on him so much. Too much.
“Fuck,” you hissed, tears streaming down your face. Your throat burned as the memories came flooding back, memories of all the nights you’d spent together, of him holding you while you cried yourself to sleep, of the way he’d pulled you out of the gloom when you thought you’d never get back up again. You thought he’d always be that person for you, the one who understood your broken pieces because he had his own. You’d always fit together perfectly.
You pulled into the parking lot of the nearest drugstore, your hands still shaking as you put the car in park. The tears had dried up on the drive over, replaced by a cold determination. You didn’t want to be here. Didn’t want to even think about what you were about to do.
The moment you stepped out of your car and into the harsh fluorescent lighting of the drugstore, you felt completely out of place—like a stranger in your own skin. You hadn’t even thought about how ridiculous you must’ve looked until you caught your reflection in one of the store’s glass windows. Your hair, still perfect from earlier, framed your face in soft waves, and your makeup was flawless, despite the crying. The designer dress you were wearing—sleek, red, and worth more than half the shit in this store—with its sticky floors and white lights, it made you feel like an alien. Like you didn’t belong.
You caught the eyes of a couple of people loitering outside the entrance as you walked in, their stares lingering a little too long, murmuring to each other behind smirks. You knew they were talking about you. They always did, kook queen, overdressed, out of touch, bitch, whatever they wanted to call you.
The sliding doors let out a grating beep as you entered, and the air inside was stale and heavy, reeking of floor cleaner and cheap perfume. You adjusted your grip on your purse, strutting past the aisles with your head high even though everything inside you felt like it was falling apart.
You always did this—dressed to kill, head up, like armor. But there was no real glamour in buying pregnancy tests from some random pharmacy in the middle of the night. No way to mask the deep, growing hysteria in your bones.
The girl behind the register clocked you the second you stepped up to the counter, her eyes dragging over your like she couldn’t quite believe what she was seeing. You could almost hear her thoughts: What the hell is someone like you doing here?
You didn’t even look at her. You just wanted to pay and leave without a scene. But of course, people always found a way to make things worse. She hesitated before scanning the tests, looking like she might say something. For her own good, you prayed she didn’t.
You threw the money on the counter before she could open her mouth, two crisp hundreds on top of the total. The cash hit the counter with a sharp thwap and you gave her the bitchiest look you could muster. “Take it. Keep your fucking mouth shut.”
She swallowed hard, her hand trembling as she slid the bills into the register. You didn’t care that she was young or nervous. You weren’t here to make friends. You weren’t here for anyone’s sympathy. The extra money would make sure she didn’t talk, that was all that mattered.
You walked out, your heels clicking against the linoleum, head high, even though every nerve in your body screamed for you to disappear. You slid into your truck, slamming the door shut, the silence finally hitting you. For all the designer clothes, the makeup, the money—none of it meant shit right now. You felt so small. So scared. Terribly lonely.
You sat there for what felt like forever, staring at the stupid bag in the passenger seat like it had the power to ruin your whole life—which, to be fair, it kind of did. You didn’t know what the fuck you were going to do. Not about any of it.
Your foot tapped nervously against the floor mat, the sound too loud in the quiet car. The bag crinkled as you glanced at it again, your stomach twisting all over again. A bunch of pregnancy tests. How had it come to this?
Rafe. You squeezed your eyes shut, willing yourself not to think about him, not to picture his face when he found out. If he found out. Shit, what the hell was he going to do? He was with Sofia now, right? So was this going to ruin his life too? Did he even deserve to know?
It was probably nothing, you told yourself. Maybe the separation anxiety had gotten to you. Maybe your body was just fucked up from all the stress. Maybe your period was just late because you’d been so all over the place lately. There could be a million reasons. You didn’t even want to think about what would happen if it wasn’t nothing.
You didn’t want to cry anymore. Not after all of this. Not over Rafe. Not over your life turning into some fucking soap opera you didn’t even want to be a part of.
The second you were inside your house, the walls closed in around you. Your perfectly decorated place—the one you’d spent so much time making into a refuge, an escape—it didn’t feel like that anymore. Every designer pillow, every carefully chosen piece of art, mocking you.
Your phone buzzed in your bag, you reached for it. Of course, it was Rafe.
“I don’t know what the fuck that was but save the fucking dramatics, okay?”
The nerve. The fucking nerve of him to act like he was the center of your universe, acting like you were some inconvenience. Months of silence and this was the first thing he decided to text you? Knowing how much you despised when people called you a drama queen? Fucking piece of shit.
Your fingers hovered over the screen, a thousand different responses running through your mind. You wanted to tell him to shove something up his ass. But you did the only thing that felt right in that moment.
You blocked him. You stared at your phone, half expecting it to buzz again, half dreading that it wouldn’t. It was done. You cut him off, at least in that tiny, virtual way. You sat there for a minute, gripping the phone, trying to remember how to breathe.
This was supposed to feel empowering, right? You told yourself it would. That cutting him out would help you get back some control. But your mind wouldn’t settle. Those damn pregnancy tests were sitting in the bag next to you.
You were tired.
Exhausted in a way that had nothing to do with how late it was or how emotionally spent you were. You kicked off your heels, letting them clatter against the hardwood floor as you sank into the plush couch. Your house felt cold and unwelcoming tonight. Like a showroom. No comfort to be found. Not here, not in the muted tones of beige and white. Not in the sleek lines of furniture that were supposed to exude elegance and sophistication.
Maybe tomorrow you’d feel differently.
Maybe you’d wake up with a clear head, ready to take the stupid tests. Maybe you’d be strong again like you’d been so many times before.
Tonight, you were just tired. You leaned back against the cushions, closing your eyes for a moment, willing the noise in your head to quiet down. Sleep. That’s what you needed. Just a few hours to clear your mind, and in the morning, you’d deal with everything.
All of this would go away.

Red Hood held out his now uncovered hand as if to ask for a hand shake. Danny floated a bit closer and reached out with his own gloved finger. He poked into the back of the guy’s hand.
“What are you doing?”
“Dude, what if you’re contagious?”
“Can ghosts get sick?” Nightwing asked.
“There are ghost diseases, yeah.” Danny answered, still poking at Red Hood’s hand. “No ghost antibiotics, though. You just have to tough it out.”
“Is that what I have?”
“No.” Danny said. “You have something easier to fix.”
Danny floated back so that he was eye level with the two taller heroes. He folded his arms across his chest and looked at Red Hood.
“So, like. Is there a private place we could chat?”
“Private?” Nightwing asked. “Why? It isn’t fatal, is it?”
“Uh no? It's just personal. What’s it called Hippo? The doctor thing.”
“Are you talking about HIPAA?” Red Hood asked, sounding confused.
“That’s it!” Danny snapped a finger and pointed at Red Hood. “It’s personal medical info. We are on a rooftop in the middle of the biggest city I’ve ever been in. Do you want to go somewhere private?”
“I uh... No, here is fine.”
"Okay.” Danny said. “Cool then. So, these Lazarus Pits? I’ve never seen one, but I have heard of them from other older ghosts. Except we don’t call them that. They’re relatively common in the zone, but the locations are secret, you have to know someone who knows someone ya know?”
“Well, what are they?”
“Distilleries.”
“What?” Red Hood managed to look absolutely flabbergasted even with the full faced motorcycle helmet covering his head.
“Ghosts can’t eat human food, right? I mean we can, but we don’t taste anything. We don’t have the physical parts to digest human food and enjoy it like we did when we were alive.” Danny explained. “It’s the same thing for things like alcohol and drugs and things. So, a lot of adult ghosts still want to get drunk even though they’re dead. I died before 21 so I wouldn’t know, but like, there’s a desire for it.”
“What does this have to do with the Lazarus Pits?”
"Well, in order to make something we can taste, it has to be made with ectoplasm. Alcohol is not as easy to make as other stuff for ghosts. Alcohol is made using fermentation, right? Well ectoplasm doesn’t really. Do that. I mean ectoplasm is either inert or charged with emotional energy, if it gets charged enough it will form a ghost or spirit or something. It’s basically impossible to like, make ectoplasm ferment without risking your alcohol becoming the ghost of wines past.” Danny said, throwing a joke on the end there. Nightwing gave him a smile while Red Hood managed to glare at him through the full red facemask.
“There are ghosts who have figured out how to force ectoplasm to ferment. They basically invented ghost yeast, a sourdough starter of horror if you will. It takes centuries for ectoplasm to get good enough to be considered drinkable alcohol. So, what an enterprising barkeeping ghost will do is find like, an abandoned cave or something, fill it with ectoplasm dump the ghost yeast in there and leave it alone for like a thousand years to ripen. Then they’ll come back, bottle it up and sell it in the zone.” Danny continued.
"Are you telling me Red Hood is ghost drunk?” Nightwing asked.
“I’m saying he has a yeast infection.”

You remember the first time he fucked you, vividly.
It was late at night, after a mission. You almost died in his arms. And that was what broke that thing inside him, the burden of time that he carries, that deep-seated pain that made it justifiable to stay away from you. He had held back for so long—had done his all to resist falling for you. He was screwed from the beginning, and he knew that. But he had become so terrified at the thought of losing you that he hadn’t realized it could happen all the same if he stayed away—if he forced himself to remain a friend.
So, when he fucked you that first time, that first night, he fucked you like it’d be the last—the only time.
“Goddammit, so fucking perfect,” he mumbled, his lips bruising yours, shoving himself deep inside—as deep as you could take him. “Needed you this whole time. Can’t live without you.”
“Logan,” you whined, his hips snapping against yours. “D-don’t stop, please.” “Never gonna stop, pretty girl,” he promised. “Can’t go back. Can’t be anywhere but here.”
For months now, you’ve been together—but nobody knows. There’s no doubt about commitment—nothing casual about the relationship in the slightest. You start and end every day in Logan’s bed. You’ve talked about running off together, getting married, and settling down. For the first time in his long life, Logan sees a future where he’s happy—genuinely happy.
The sun peaks through the curtains. You curl yourself into Logan’s chest. His arms are wrapped around your back, holding you tight against him, even in his sleep. You listen to his breathing as the fall breeze creeps through the open window. Everything is calm and quiet in the morning, when everyone is still tucked away in their bedrooms, sound asleep.
Logan groans, tugging you closer to him, nuzzling his face into your neck. “Go back to sleep.” His voice is heavy, laden with exhaustion. “Too early.” He kisses the spot just under your ear, and you moan involuntarily, feeling extra sensitive in the haze of the morning. He smiles softly against your neck, and kisses you again, his teeth grazing your skin. You moan louder this time, intertwining your legs with Logan’s. “Love those pretty little noises you make.”
“Feels good,” you murmur, his thigh slotting between your legs, pressing against your core. You can’t help but grind down on his thigh, rocking your hips back and forth. “Need you, Lo,” you beg.
“You’re gonna ruin me,” Logan husks, his palms warm against your bare skin as he slips underneath your shirt—which is really his.
He’s slow in the morning, pressing soft kisses on your bare shoulders, letting his touch linger longer than normal. He likes the peace of it all—waking up to each other, smelling you next to him, feeling the other side of his bed warm and full of you. When he fucks you, early like this, he takes his time.
His fingertips trace the curves of your stomach, falling into your dips, gripping your flesh. Logan breathes you in, his lips softly melting into yours. “Still too early?” You mumble between soft, lazy kisses.
“Never too early to want you,” Logan husks, dragging his thigh against your core again. “Always need you.” You can feel his erection through his boxers. “Gonna take care of my girl. Gonna make you—”
There’s a knock at the door. “Logan?” It’s Scott’s voice on the other side. He knocks again. “Logan, you in there?”
Logan tries to ignore him, his fingertips dragging down your sides, bumping into the hem of your panties as he trails wet, open-mouthed kisses down the hollow of your throat. You let out a breathy moan as Logan bites down on your pulse point. He smiles under your jaw at the soft sound, content that you can’t hold back.
“Logan,” you whisper, running your hands up his arms, to his shoulders, your fingertips finding the nape of his neck. “He’s not gonna stop.”
Sure enough, Scott knocks again. “Logan, I know you’re in there,” he calls, banging on the door now. “Wake up. We have some tech guy on his way.”
Logan groans into your neck. “Why do you need me, Summers?” Logan licks your collarbone teasingly, hiking your t-shirt farther up your body.
“He’s…a mutant,” Scott explains. “He can speak with machines, computers, code—you name it, he can do it. He’s gonna fix some stuff around the mansion. Charles asked me to make sure you’re awake just in case…” Scott trails off.
Logan finishes Scott’s sentence. “In case everything goes to shit?”
“I wasn’t going to say that,” Scott huffs, likely shaking his head on the other side of the door. “But yes. In case things don’t go as planned. I’m also looking for—"
But Logan cuts Scott off, saying your name for him.
“Yeah, I can’t find her. Do you know where she might—”
“On a run,” Logan chimes in, and you suppress your laughter by pressing your face into his chest. “She’ll be back soon.” Logan’s arms wrap around your back, holding you against him.
“Alright,” Scott says, shuffling, slowly stepping away from the door. “If you see her, let her know what’s going on, okay?”
“Trust me bub,” Logan husks, his fingers digging into your flesh, tickling you. “I’ll make sure she knows.”
Scott mumbles something unintelligible as he walks down the hallway, his footsteps echoing as he disappears down the stairs.
Logan’s lips are attached to your neck again, sucking playfully. “Where were we?” He teases, his nails grazing down your back. His palms settle on your ass, squeezing your flesh tightly in his hands.
You moan, your chest flush with his. “Logan,” you whine. “We need to get up,” you insist, your hands pushing against Logan’s broad shoulders, your fingers digging into his muscular biceps. “Can’t stay in bed anymore.”
Logan grunts, his thigh still nudged between your legs, rocking into your core. You want him, and it’s tempting to let him take you right here, right now. But you can’t. And he knows it. He presses a chaste kiss to your lips and pulls you tightly into his chest. “Later,” he promises, his lips finding the shell of your ear. You smile at the thought. There was always a later with Logan.
You snuck out of Logan’s room, unnoticed, as always. It was still early—too early for the ruckus of a morning at the mansion to begin. You got ready for the day and slipped downstairs. You’re still shocked at just how oblivious the rest of the team is. Truly, no one knows about you and Logan.
You’re in the kitchen now, nursing a cup of coffee, waiting for the day to start. Familiar, heavy footsteps approach, and you smile before you can even see his face.
“Hi pretty girl,” Logan coos, standing behind you and wrapping his arms around your front. You lean into him, feeling the warmth of his chest and the strength of his heartbeat. He presses a chaste kiss to the crown of your head and walks over to the coffee pot.
Scott enters the kitchen as Logan takes his first sip of coffee—one second earlier and he would have seen Logan holding you. “The guy is here,” Scott announces from the doorway. He looks at you and smiles. “Oh! Hey! How was your run?” He asks cheerfully.
You almost spit out your coffee, remembering what you were actually doing this morning. “Great!” You say, doing your all to hold back your laughter. “Surprisingly relaxing.” Logan snorts and plays it off like he’s sniffling.
Scott smiles, none the wiser, and nods, cocking his head towards the hallway just outside the kitchen. “Come meet the tech guy!” He backs out of the doorway and into the hallway. Logan settles his coffee cup—which reads #1 Professor—next to yours on the counter and gives your waist a quick squeeze as you hop out of the chair. You walk shoulder to shoulder into the foyer. All the signs of your relationship are there—out in the open—and yet, still, no one seems to catch them.
You step into the foyer, and there’s Scott and the Professor by the front door, chatting with a younger man—who’s about your age. The man’s eyes find yours, and he smiles softly. “Hi there!” He calls, waving. “I’m Mark!” He strides away from Scott and the Professor and towards you. “But you can call me Techno.” He smirks and winks, extending his hand out, waiting for you to take it.
Logan grabs his hand instead, gripping it tightly, catching Mark off guard. “Wolverine,” Logan growls. “And you can’t call me Logan,” he adds, gritting his teeth. “So, you turn on computers, bub?”
Mark grimaces, wrenching his hand from Logan’s grasp. “A little more than that,” he asserts, closing his eyes and bawling his fists. You look up as the lights flicker, and televisions turn on and off. Your cell phone rings in your pocket, and you pull it out. The screen reads: Incoming Call from Mark.
Your lips part. “How did you…” You trail off.
Mark shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly. “My powers essentially let me communicate with electricity and tech,” he explains. You can practically hear Logan seething beside you.
“A technopath,” Charles offers as he rolls over to join the three of you with Scott in tow.
“Exactly,” Mark says, nodding to Charles. “Makes it easy to put my number into pretty girls’ phones.” Mark winks at you, and you press your lips into a straight line in response.
You shake your head. “I’m not inter—”
You’re cut off by the sound of Logan’s claws unsheathing. “These,” Logan pauses, lifting his claws to Mark. “Make it real easy to hurt creeps who put their numbers into girls’ phones without asking first, bub.”
Mark rolls his eyes, and the corners of your lips twitch up. You try to force down your smile, try to slow the rhythm of your heart. You secretly liked when Logan got possessive over you. He was inherently protective, and you’d be lying if you said it didn’t turn you on just a little.
“Let’s stay on course,” Charles reprimands, guiding Mark to the hallway to the left with a wave of his hand. “Let me show you some of the machines I’d like you to work on.”
“It would be my pleasure, Professor Xavier,” Mark says harshly, his eyes locked on Logan as he backs away to follow Charles and Scott.
Logan lowers all but his center claw, giving Mark the middle finger as he turns around. “Don’t mind Logan,” Scott says as they disappear into a room, the door shutting behind them.
“Logan,” you whisper, now that everyone is gone. “Don’t worry,” you assure, bringing a hand to his shoulder.
He turns to look at you. “He’s a fucking creep.”
“It’s going to be fine.”
 It is not going well, or fine.
Mark is something of a nuisance. He’s only been here for an hour, but he has already created multiple excuses to talk to you, to pull you away from whatever task is at hand.
You’re in the middle of teaching an English class, discussing Mrs. Dalloway with a group of older students. “So, what are we to make of Clarissa and Sally’s relationship?” You ask the students, to no avail.
This was your hardest class of the day—especially given the fact that you’re not even a decade older than most of the students. You had joined the X-Men in your early 20s, your powers having shown themselves a bit later than in most mutants, and only a few years have passed since then. Convincing the students who have been here their whole lives that you deserve to teach has been nothing short of a challenge.
So, when Mark butts his head in on your class, annoyance burns through your body. You take a deep breath and swallow down your frustration.
“Hey!” He chimes, his head poking through the open classroom door. “Mind if I take a look at your computer really quick?”
The class perks up, more focused on you than they were just seconds ago. You fake a smile, nodding and pushing yourself off the front of your desk so that he has space to access the computer.
He slips behind the desk and smiles widely. “You didn’t have to move,” he remarks. “Would’ve been nice to have you close.”
You want to gag. You turn away from the students, whispering so they can’t hear. “Listen,” you chide, narrowing your eyes. “I am not interested, so could you please—”
“What are you doing in here, asshole?” Logan’s voice echoes against the walls of the classroom. For the first time all year, the class is paying incredibly close attention. “The Professor told you to check the computers in the lab down the hall.” Logan fully enters the room, striding over to Mark, his hands bawled into fists at his sides. “Beat it, bub.”
“Whatever,” Mark mutters, his head down as he exits the classroom. The bell rings, and the class stands, grabbing their things and filing out the door.
You groan. “Please read the next twenty pages for tomorrow!” You shout over the hubbub and shuffling of students. “I know it’s a challenging novel, but I think you guys can…” The students are gone before you can finish your sentence. “Handle it.”
Logan smiles sympathetically, closing the distance between you and him. His presence is comforting, warm, everything you’ve ever needed. He wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you into his chest. “Sorry,” he apologizes, pressing a kiss to the side of your head. “Didn’t mean to make your class harder than it is already.”
You take a deep breath, your annoyance fading away. “You helped,” you whisper. “Mark is the one who ruined things,” you insist. “He won’t leave me alone.”
Logan chuckles. “You don’t like him?” He teases. “Don’t like a guy your own age flirting with you?” He’s egging you on, trying to joke, but you can tell part of him is a bit serious.
You shake your head. “Only like you.” You press your lips to the hollow of his throat and Logan grunts.
He reluctantly pulls away, the palms of his hands dragging down your arms, his fingers intertwining with yours. “Gotta get to my class,” he husks, his fingers slipping, tugging longingly as he steps to the door. “Meet me after?” He asks, but he already knows the answer. You’ll be outside his classroom door before the bell rings, waiting for him.
You nod, and he smiles, his hands gripping the doorframe like some invisible magnet is pulling him away, and he’d give anything to spend another second with you. He slips down the hallway, and into his classroom.
You spend the next thirty minutes or so grading papers, waiting for the period to end so that you can walk across the hall to Logan’s class. Another few minutes pass, and you start to collect your things, readying yourself to meet Logan. Your heart thumps in your chest at the thought, even after all the months you’ve spent together.
You grab your bag and head to the door, closing it behind you and locking up. You cross the hall and stand outside Logan’s door. He’s teaching a younger group of kids—ten to eleven-year-olds. You would trade places with him in a heartbeat if you could. The younger students loved you. There was no question of respect, no doubt of your power. But Logan was given the class as a challenge—Charles wanted to test his patience.
And, honestly, seeing him with the children did something to you. You loved watching the way he doted on them, carefully explaining material in a way they’d understand. He was an excellent teacher, and one day, you’re sure, he’d make an even better father. You find yourself falling into fantasy: Logan, late at night, a baby—your baby—on his chest. You can see it now—him changing a diaper, teaching the child to walk. Your heart squeezes in your chest, your eyes falling closed as you daydream about the future—your future together.
You’re so distracted that you don’t hear Mark walk up to you—don’t feel his hand grab your shoulder.
You yelp and jump. “Oh my god,” you mumble, turning around and coming face to face with him.
“Didn’t mean to scare you,” he says, his hand lingering for far too long on your shoulder. He finally peels away, his arms falling to his sides. He leans against the wall, trying to appear casual and cool. “What are you doing tonight?”
The bell rings before you can think of a polite way to shoo Mark away, and the students exit Logan’s classroom, happily shouting greetings in your direction. You stood outside Logan’s door every day, and the students were always excited to see you.
A few of them run up to hug you, complaining about Logan’s gruffness. When they hear Logan’s footsteps approaching the door, they bolt down the hallway, their laughter booming against the walls.
Logan steps out into the hall, and he groans audibly when he sees Mark next to you. But Mark ignores Logan, his eyes trained on yours. “Got plans?” He asks again.
You roll your eyes. “Dude, I’m not interested!” You groan, too irritated to pretend to be nice. Mark smirks and parts his lips, ready to persist like the creep he is.
Logan steps in front of you, his claws already out. “Listen, bub,” he growls, his claws just inches from Mark’s chest. “If you don’t fuck off and stop harassing my girl, we’re gonna have a problem.”
Mark scoffs. “My girl? What are you, her father? You can’t possibly be dating her.”
You can see the anger in Logan’s eyes, the honest rage. “Lo,” you soothe. “Don’t do it.” But you know it’s too late. His decision is already made.
Logan shoves Mark against the wall, his claws pressed against his throat. “I’m her fucking boyfriend, bub,” he grunts as Mark squirms helplessly under his hold.
“Oh, her boyfriend?” He teases, despite the fear in his eyes. “Aren’t you too old to be a boyfriend?”
Logan shoves him harder into the wall, and Mark yelps pathetically, like a small dog. “More serious than that,” Logan asserts. “Guessing you wouldn’t know anything about that though, would you?”
“Alright, break it up!” Scott’s voice echoes from down the hall. He runs over, Jean and the Professor by his side. Rogue and Gambit follow close behind. But Logan doesn’t budge, the tips of his claws almost digging hard enough to draw blood.
You bring your hand to Logan’s shoulder. “He isn’t gonna hurt me,” you whisper to Logan. “I could handle him easily if he tried.” You slide your hand to the nape of his neck, trying to soothe him, to relax him. “Nothing’s going to happen, okay?”
Logan retracts his claws and lets go of Mark, who stutters away from Logan and into the center of the hallway. “I’m getting the fuck out of here!” Mark shouts, but Logan doesn’t react. He simply intertwines his fingers with yours.
“You okay?” He asks, his thumb brushing circles into the side of your hand.
You arch a brow. “Are you okay?” You smile and lean into him.
“So…” Scott trails off, interrupting. “You two are…”
“Together.” You finish his sentence, your eyes still on Logan’s. You can feel the tension in his shoulders stretch down to his hand. He’s rigid, still on edge. You know he needs to get out of here, needs to be alone with you.
“How long has this been going on?” Scott asks, genuinely caught off guard. “Did anyone know about this?”
You turn to the team to see heads shaking side to side—save for the Professor. “I did, of course,” Charles confesses. “But I felt it was best left a secret until the two lovebirds decided otherwise.”
Rogue shakes her head, the corners of her mouth twitching up. “I can’t believe you never told me!”
“Told you what?” Jubilee calls from down the hall, approaching the group. She blows a bubble as she stands next to Rogue, her eyes trailing down to where your and Logan’s hands connect. Her eyes widen and her bubble bursts. “No way!” She cheers, jumping up and down.
“Settle down,” Charles laughs, extending his hand down the hall to where Mark was just moments ago. “Scott, make sure our technopath friend makes it out the door alive.” Scott nods and heads down the hall. Charles turns to you and Logan. “As for the two of you,” he pauses, winking. “We’ll discuss more at a later point.”
You smile in understanding, and Logan squeezes your hand—another sign it’s time to go. He’s still worked up about Mark; he needs to get this out of his system, needs to relieve all the built-up tension.
“Got something I need to take care of,” Logan says to the group, tugging you down the hallway.
He strides through the mansion, practically yanking your arm out of your socket. “Logan,” you whisper, trying to catch his attention. You’ve never seen him like this—rage and jealousy like fire in his eyes, dripping from his pores. He leads you up the stairs and towards his bedroom, and it suddenly dawns on you what exactly he needs to take care of.
Logan pushes the door open and slams it closed the second you’re inside. His hands are immediately on you, grabbing at the pillowy flesh of your ass, pinning you to the door. His lips find yours—hungry and rough, the wiry hairs of his beard scratching your face. He tastes you, his tongue seeking more of you as it swipes across your lower lip. You open your mouth, inviting him in, your tongue tangling with his.
Logan hoists you up without breaking the kiss, and you instinctively wrap your legs around his waist. You can feel his erection straining inside his jeans, pressing against your heat. He grinds into you as one hand slips under your top and drags up your back, holding you tightly against him.
“Need you,” he mumbles against your lips. “Always fucking need you.” He tears you away from the door and towards the bed. He throws you onto the mattress and climbs over you, slowly, like an animal stalking its prey. “Tell me you need me, pretty girl.”
“N-need you,” you stutter as he settles on top of you, grabbing your wrists and pinning them above your head.
“I’m not too old for you?” Logan teases, one of his hands loosening its grasp on your arm and trailing down your body, settling on the hem of your shirt. “You don’t wanna be with anyone else?” He hikes up your top, pushing it above your breasts.
You can feel the heat pooling between your legs. “No,” you whine, arching your back as his fingertips play with the bottom of your bra. “Only wanna be with you,” you breathe as Logan slowly, teasingly pulls your bra up. “Please,” you beg, spreading your legs wider. “Want you to fuck me.”
Logan smirks, finally tugging your bra and top over your head and casting them to the floor. “Gonna take care of you, sweetheart,” Logan soothes, palming your breasts with his free hand, rolling your nipples under his thumb.
“Fuck,” you moan as he pinches a nipple between his thumb and forefinger.
Logan hums, his fingertips trailing across the valley of your breasts, doing the same on the other side. Logan pinches harder, and you moan louder this time. “That’s it,” he coos, his lips finding your pulse point, sucking roughly. “Don’t be quiet, darlin’,” he demands. You whisper his name, your voice whiny and needy. “Show me how much you need me. Keep making those pretty little noises, baby.”
“Feels good,” you whimper as his hand traces down your stomach, to your hips, gathering the fabric of your skirt in his fist and yanking it up to your waist.
He chuckles darkly. “You wore this just for me?” He asks, his thumb hooking inside the waistband of your panties, pulling them down your legs. “Wanted to make it easier for me to fuck you?”
“Fuck, yes, just for you,” you pant, watching as Logan lifts himself off you, tugging his t-shirt up and over his head. He dexterously unclasps his belt buckle and throws the leather to the floor. He balances on his forearm as he unbuttons and unzips his jeans, pushing them down his thighs along with his boxers. “I’m all yours, Lo,” you promise as he presses his forehead to yours.
Logan’s hand glides down your side, slipping between your legs and finding your folds. You moan as his fingertips prod at your entrance, spreading your slick. “Fuck, all this is for me?” He pinches your clit before swiping through your folds again. “You’re soaked already, princess.” His fingertips brush your clit, tracing achingly slow circles into the bud.
You rock your hips against Logan’s touch, searching for more friction. “Logan, need you,” you whine, squirming underneath him. “I’m yours.”
“All mine?” He whispers, his touch suddenly disappearing. You groan at the loss of contact. “Say it again, pretty girl,” he demands, guiding his cock to your folds.
“All yours,” you answer, trying to move your hips lower to feel just an inch of him. “Please just—”
Your eyes roll into the back of your head as he slams into you, down to the hilt with one thrust. He throbs against your walls as he works you open, his hips still, his cock splitting you in two. “Fuck,” Logan grunts. “So fucking tight. Perfect little pussy. Wanna stay right here forever. Maybe I won’t even fuck you. Maybe I’ll just make you sit on my cock.”
But you need him to move, need him to take you. “Logan, f-fuck me,” you choke, trying to move your hips. His hand grips your waist, stopping you from sliding up his length. “Please, move,” you plead.
“So impatient,” he chides, kissing you bruisingly, biting your lips. He finally pulls out and slams back in, bottoming out again. His hand slides down your waist and slips between your legs. “You gonna be a good girl and let me fuck you the way I want?”
His hand is just above your clit, inches away from where you need him most, waiting for your answer. You nod emphatically. “Yes,” you say with pleading eyes. “Anything. You can do anything just please—oh fuck!” Logan pinches your clit and starts his machinations, swirling around the bud. He pulls out and pumps back in, setting a ruthless pace.
His hips snap against yours, taking all of you with reckless abandon. His lips swallow your moans, consuming you, drinking you in. Of all the times he’s fucked you, it’s never been quite like this. There’s a hunger in Logan’s eyes that you’ve never seen before, an undying need you’re not sure can be satisfied. Something feels different about this time—more intense, fervent, and feverish.
Logan thrusts in and out of you, bottoming out with every pump, still stretching you out. His fingertips stroke your clit roughly, your walls already fluttering around him. He curses under his breath, his chest heaving against yours.
“Look at you,” he groans, fucking into you. “So beautiful like this. Always so beautiful.” You can feel his cock twitching inside you. “Wanna make you mine, sweetheart.”
“I-I already am,” you stammer, his fingers drawing tight, rapid circles into your clit, pushing you closer to the edge. “Always gonna be yours.”
“Want more than that,” Logan grunts, his hips rocking, his pace quickening. He’s so deep inside you—hitting exactly where you need him most with every thrust.
“Whatever you want,” you pant, your chest pressing flush to his. “It’s yours. I’m yours.”
“Yeah?” He growls at the shell of your ear. “You gonna let me fill you up? Gonna let me stuff you full of me?”
“Yes, please,” you cry out as he pumps in and out, shoving himself as deep inside as he can possibly fit. You feel so full, so complete. Nothing compares to having Logan this close, to having him be so connected to you. You’re already coming undone underneath him, falling apart. “Want you to stay inside.” And then the words fall from your lips without a second thought. But you mean it, and you want it more than anything…
“Wanna have your baby, Lo.”
Logan groans at your words, his cock throbbing with need. “Fuck, don’t tease me like that, sweetheart.”
“N-not teasing,” you stammer. “I mean it.”
“Shit,” Logan growls, his skin slapping against yours, your words spurring him on. He’s letting himself go, letting himself plunge deep inside you, fast and hard. “Such a good girl,” he praises, his length dragging against your walls, pushing deeper still. “You gonna let me fuck a baby into you?”
“Yes!” You cry out, the fire burning in your belly spreading up to your spine, coursing through your veins. Your walls flutter around his length, squeezing him tightly.
“That’s it, pretty girl,” Logan coos, rutting into you, his hips stuttering. “Want you forever.”
You throw your head back as his fingers swirl around your clit. “You have me Lo, always gonna have me.” Your walls clench down around him, and the tension snaps. Electricity shoots up your spine as your orgasm crashes into you. It’s intense—more intense than anything you’ve ever felt. Pleasure washes over you in waves, heat blooming across your chest and up your neck.
Logan is right behind you, whispering a string of praises as he finishes inside you. “Did so fucking good for me. Always so perfect, beautiful.” His thrusts slow until he’s still inside you, but he doesn’t pull out. “Don’t wanna move, princess,” he husks, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.
“You don’t have to,” you say, your voice hoarse. Logan rolls you onto your side, hoisting your leg up and over his hip, keeping himself deep inside your cunt. You close your eyes, your heartbeat finally steadying, your chest still heaving in time with Logan’s.
The silence is comfortable, calming. You listen to Logan’s breathing as he runs his hands up and down your back. “You okay?” He asks, pressing a chaste kiss to the crown of your head.
You hum. “I’m perfect,” you mumble, burying your face into his chest. “Do you really…” You trail off, suddenly nervous to ask the only question on your mind, despite everything that just happened.
“Yes,” Logan answers immediately. “I meant it. Wanna be a family. Wanna be with you forever.”
You melt into him, wrapping your arms around his back. You can feel his cock growing hard inside you as you move to get more comfortable. “I want that too, Lo,” you sigh. “More than anything.” You smile against him, thinking about your future, thinking about how all this started because some asshole wouldn’t leave you alone. You can’t help but giggle at the thought.
“What’s so funny?” Logan asks. You can hear the smirk in his voice.
You look up at him. “You’re crazy, you know that?” You joke, your smile widening. “You could’ve hurt that guy.”
Logan’s smile widens too. “Just crazy about you,” he says, shrugging his shoulders. He flips you onto your back and hovers over you, his cock still deep inside you. “Should’ve kicked his ass.” You bite your lip, waiting for his next move. “You’re my girl,” he groans, sliding out of you slightly.
“Yours,” you breathe as he thrusts back in. “All yours.”

It shouldn’t shock you that the void is full of weird things — you came here with a mutant and a … well, whatever the fuck Wade is, after all. Yet, you’re still surprised when, on your way back from finding some bushes to pee in, you end up tripping over something and getting addicted to the smell of some glowing plant.
The flower is bright pink and smells like your favourite perfume. You’re on all fours at this point, your face buried in the bud as you inhale its sweet, sweet scent.
“What is she doing?” Logan asks from afar, an eyebrow raised in confusion.
“Yoga?” Wade offers. Logan throws him a look — not helpful.
Logan makes his way to you; the closer he gets the brighter the plant glows. This can’t be good. He calls your name when he gets to you but you’re in a trance, you don’t even seem to hear Logan. You’re humming — no, moaning?— to yourself, arching your back and lowering yourself to your forearms.
He pulls you up by your arm and almost flinches at your sudden outburst. “Let me go!” You shout, hitting his chest, and when you look up at him your pupils are so large Logan isn’t sure it’s really still you in there.
You go to slap Logan so you can get back down but his hand slides down your arm to hold your wrist, his other hand at your waist to keep you in place.
“Look at me,” Logan orders and, oh you’re looking at him.
The smell the plant was giving off wasn’t your favourite perfume at all, you realise, it was the smell of Logan. A hint of his aftershave, a little bit of sweat, and all that manly musk. You realise you need him right now.
You involuntarily arch your back to get closer to him, your chest against the hard of his suit. He’s looking down at you, a mixture of worry and confusion. You reach up to claw at Logan’s collar but he easily holds you off.
“You okay, bub? What was that?” He looks down to kick at the plant and as it breaks off at the stem the plant gives off a last shake of glittery dust, grows grey, and then dies. You slowly turn your head from the floor to Logan’s face — he’s wearily awaiting your next move.
“I’m not okay, Logan. I need you right now,” you pull at his collar once more but he has you in a tight grip at the waist — which does nothing but turn you on more.
“Wade! Come here,” Logan calls, and you see a flicker of red in your periphery coming towards you, but you don’t take your eyes off the man in front of you.
When you stand still for a few seconds, that’s when the ache really hits you. You clench around nothing and you’re suddenly aware of how wet you are. You’ve never needed to come so badly in your life, but Logan’s got you held firmly in place, no matter how much you squirm.
Wade sees the plant immediately, even greyed out and dead, “What’s this?” He walks towards it.
Logan grabs Wade’s arm. “Don’t,” he grits.
With only one of his arms on you, you take the chance to reach up at Logan’s face, try to kiss him, but his hand is back on you before you can even get on your tiptoes. You let out a pained moan and both their heads snap towards you.
“She was smelling that flower. Now she’s..” Logan looks down at you, which intensifies your need, but he’s careful of what to say. You only met a few days ago and he doesn’t want to humiliate you, doesn’t know how deep down the real you is by now.
“Horny?” Wade asks, looking at you, “Holy shit, girl, look at your eyes. See, a woman after my own heart. That’s exactly how I look at Logan too—“
“Wade!” Logan shouts, jaw clenching, “We need to get her somewhere safe.”
“Don’t need anywhere safe. Need you,” you mumble, attempting to free yourself from Logan’s grip. He’s so effortlessly strong it makes your mouth water and the place between your thighs even wetter.
Wade bends down, careful not to get too close to the plant, assessing it. “Easy. It’s sex pollen.”
“What the fuck is that?” Logan half-shouts.
“Have you never read fanfiction? It makes you crazy horny until you’re fucked by the person you’re into the most,” Wade explains, then sighs, looking at you, “Sad that it’s not me, sugarcakes, I’ll be honest.”
You ignore him, still attempting to get out of Logan’s grasp to climb him like a tree.
Logan groans at Wade, “Do you ever shut the fuck up?”
“No, have you met me?”
Suddenly you’re lifted off the ground and Logan slings you over his shoulder like you weigh nothing at all. His arm grips you just below your ass, and it makes you clench your thighs together, trying to get any type of friction. You attempt to get down but his arm only tightens around your legs and even though your entire upper body is free, hanging off the back of him, you’re helpless.
-
You squirm and wriggle and moan but all to no avail. Logan’s ignoring you. You feel your underwear getting wetter with his every step and breath and movement, and you’re sure he must be able to smell you at this point.
Your arousal has turned into nothing other than a pulsing pain and you feel tears springing to your eyes with your sexual frustration. You mumble Logan’s name but you’re too weak to really say anything, too weak to even try and get out of his grasp anymore.
A shadow is cast over you and you see the sand under you turn into a solid floor. Suddenly you’re being lifted back up and Logan sits you on top of a table. You’re in a… diner? You don’t really care, filled with a new energy as you see Logan towering over you, concern written on his face – concern you’re ready to turn into lust.
You sit up with force, ready to pounce on him, but he pins you back to the tabletop immediately, his big arms holding your wrists down.
“Don’t wanna do that, sweetheart,” – the nickname makes you moan right in his face, hips trying to arch up but he’s too far – “We’re gonna need you to calm down, okay? And we’re gonna wait it out.”
“No,” you begin to shake your head quickly, giving Logan your best puppy eyes, “I can’t wait. Need to cum. I’m so wet, Logan. Please.”
“As much as I wish it wasn’t, that’s my cue to leave,” Wade waves, whispering, “I hope you think of me when you come” (you’re not sure if he’s saying it to you or to Logan) and walks out the door.
Logan is distracted for a second, watching Wade leave, and you yank your hand out of his grasp to unzip the front of your suit and push a hand into your underwear. You cry out when you finally get to touch your clit, puffy and wet all over, and for a second Logan can’t keep his eyes off your panties. His gaze lands on your tits almost spilling out of your bra from all the movement and then he takes hold of your wrist once again.
“I’m gonna leave and then you can touch yourself all you want, hm? That sound like a plan?” Logan says, voice quiet and hoarse and all you can do is shake your head at him.
“‘S not gonna be enough. Need you. Please,” you moan again, and you see him clench his jaw in restraint.
“I can’t, you know I can’t. Don’t know if you’d want this otherwise. Wouldn’t be right of me.”
You somehow manage to yank his hand down with yours and shove it into your panties.
“Does this feel like I don’t want you, Logan? You’re all I want. Been making myself come every day since I met you wishing it was you instead.”
“You don’t know what you’re saying, baby, don’t know what you’re asking for,” Logan’s voice is strained. His thumb starts rubbing your clit instinctively, as if he can’t control himself. He moves slightly to get a better angle and you see the bulge pressing against his pants. He’s so big you moan out his name loud enough to echo through the building.
“Know exactly what I’m asking for. Please, Logan. It’s not gonna stop until you make me come. I’m begging you.” He looks at you with uncertainty. Then he’s pulling your arms out of your suit and ripping the rest down your legs.
“I’m gonna make you come, okay? I’ll eat your pussy as many times as you need me to. That alright?” He kneels in front of you and pulls you to the edge of the table.
You want to ask him to fuck you but all you can manage to say right now is to let out a whiny “Mhmmm.”
Logan wastes no time taking one of your thighs over his shoulder and pulling your soaked panties to the side. He looks ready to surrender and give you what you really need but he stays firmly in his place.
“Look what a mess you’ve made, baby. Such a pretty fucking pussy. I’ll make you feel better, okay? ‘M gonna make you come.”
Without another word his tongue is on you, licking broadly over your clit and then sucking as much as he can into his mouth. You arch your back and press your hips into his face. His hands come to the top of your thighs to hold you down, palms hot against your skin.
“Feel good?” He mumbles against your pussy and you sit up on your elbows.
“So fucking good, Logan. Don’t stop. Please,” you whimper as you look at his face buried in your pussy. He licks into you, nose pressed against your clit and you can’t help but buck your hips.
“Look how sweet you are, saying please every time. Such a good girl.” He’s inhaling you hungrily now, sloppy in his movements from how turned on he is but it’s not stopping you from feeling good.
You just need friction. And he’s giving you that, but then he’s licking all the way up from your pussy over your clit, through your pubic hair and up to your belly button — just to tease you. He smirks up at you and you push his head back down; he happily obliges, but not before reaching out one of his big strong hands to settle on your breast, thumb hooking under the top of your bra to play with your nipple.
“Taste so fucking good, baby. Can’t get enough,” he breathes as he begins to suck on your clit and starts moaning himself.
It occurs to you then that the pollen in your arousal or in your sweat might be making him lose his mind too. With the way he’s almost painfully squeezing your thigh with one hand and your boob with the other, you’re sure.
Logan groans with a mouthful of you between his lips, your sensitive clit swollen against his tongue. He moans something into you that you can’t understand, but the vibration of his voice pushes you close to the edge.
“Fuck, gonna come,” you whimper loudly, your hips chasing his face.
You finally tip over the edge, your orgasm ripping through you with an intensity you’ve never experienced before.
But it’s over as fast as it started.
You push your hand between your legs to relieve the ache again but you know it won’t be enough. Logan stands up and wipes his mouth, glistening with your arousal. “Y’need me again?”
You shake your head as you squirm without his presence between your thighs. “Please fuck me, Logan. I can’t take it anymore, need you inside me.” As you say it you clench around nothing, the pulsing between your legs insatiable. You start fucking yourself with your fingers, but it’s not nearly enough – you need something bigger, much bigger, and you have a feeling he can provide that.
The pollen seems to take over for Logan as well, and he finally stops arguing. He pulls off his suit and you silently curse him for not doing that earlier. Seeing those muscles is providing more relief than your fingers inside you. You feel like you could come just from the sight of his big, hard cock alone. It’s exactly what you need.
You slip out of your bra that’s almost sticking to your skin with how hot you feel and Logan roughly rips your panties down your legs.
“You really want this?” He asks as he steps between your thighs, jerking off and rubbing the tip against your clit.
“Mmhm yesyes, need you so badly. Please Lo–” you both gasp when he fills your pussy at once. It’s a feeling that brings you close to orgasm immediately and makes you grab him to pull him closer. Logan momentarily slips out of you again to crawl onto the table, pull you across it and wrap your legs around his hips.
“So fucking hard for you,” he mumbles as he pushes back into your slick pussy. You’re both mesmerised by the sight of him starting to fuck into you, your pussy stretching around him with what is the best feeling you’ve ever had. It burns because he’s so big, but it’s a good type of pain.
You grab the hair at the back of his head for support, and he moans at your grip. It angles his face towards yours and you look into each other’s eyes for a split second before his mouth finds yours. You’re biting and licking at his lips and he growls back against you, holding your lower lip down to spit into your mouth, his animalistic nature taking over.
His hips rut against yours faster as your kiss gets more desperate. You lean your head back in pleasure, hitting the table, but you barely register the pain. Distracted by how good his big cock feels so deep in your pussy you don’t even notice his hand coming up under your head to cushion it.
“There you go,” he whispers, looking down at you. Your eyes meet and for a second you smile at his care. You tip your head right back down into his hand when he starts kissing down your neck, his free hand pushing up one of your tits to wrap his lips around the nipple.
The way he runs his tongue over your nipple has you moaning and grabbing onto his hair once more. You need to feel the heat of his body so you wrap your arm around the back of his shoulders until he’s desperately fucking into you with your chests pressed together.
It should be too warm with the way your bodies are intertwined but Logan looks down to lick the sweat on your neck right up and sucks on the skin there right after. The added stimulation makes your hips buck up and Logan sneaks a hand back to your clit, messily rubbing until he has you coming again and you’re both moaning at how hard your pussy clenches around him.
You think for a second that Logan’s going to come with you but he manages to resist the temptation, biting into your shoulder instead. But that second in which it almost felt like he was coming was the calmest you’ve felt in hours at this point. You realise that maybe it’s him who needs to come for you to feel better. But you’re too horny to say any proper words to explain it to him.
Logan pushes himself up to look at your face but he doesn’t have to ask if you still need more. Your pupils are as wide as before.
“Pussy’s still so hungry for me, baby, hm? So fucking desperate,” he repositions your hips and starts fucking into you at a different angle, your wet pussy so loud against him. This time you feel his dick pushing against your g-spot and he has you gasping at the new sensation, pulling you by the hips to aid his thrusts.
“P-Please come inside me, Log– uh-Logan,” you manage to say.
Logan looks down at you and places a hand under your ass, squeezing you there, “Baby, I got stamina for the entire night. Not stopping til you’re satisfied.”
“Just do it, need you”, is all you can get out as he continues to rut his hips against yours.
“Alright. I got you, baby, I got you,” he rasps, making sure to hit your g-spot over and over until you’re arching your back, biting into his bicep that’s propped next to your face, to deal with the amount of pleasure coursing through you.
A gasp turns into an orgasm and as soon as you clench around Logan he lets go too. “God, baby, so fucking tight for me. Such a good girl. Gonna come–”
You hold onto Logan tightly, your arms wrapped around his neck as he fucks into you, filling you with ropes and ropes of his cum as you keep clenching around his big cock. You can feel him so deeply in you that your most primal urges are finally starting to calm down and you feel the last waves of pleasure flow through you as he comes his final drops.
Logan drops onto his elbows that are positioned next to your head, and, instinctively, you take his face to kiss him. He kisses you back so intensely that you don’t even have to consider whether he still wanted to kiss you now that the sex is over.
“You okay?” He asks when you let go of his lips.
“Yeah,” you nod, noticing that the ache is finally, finally gone now that you’ve both come together, “thank you, Logan.”
“My pleasure,” he smirks and places a more innocent kiss on your mouth. You untangle yourselves from each other in slow movements, unsure what places you’re sweating from and need to clean up.
-
“Do you regret it?” Logan asks you a few minutes later, cleaned up and clothed, with his arm around your waist to support you – you can barely stand – as you go outside to look for Wade.
“No. But thanks for making sure so many times… Do you regret it?”
Logan’s smile tells you everything you need to know but he still tells you, “Not one bit.”
You smile but then become more serious. “Sorry that you had to experience that,” you mumble.
“What do you mean? You’re apologising for that?”
“Didn’t you feel the pain too? I thought the effect of the pollen might have somehow been contagious.”
He almost looks bashful when he looks down at you, “No, you just turn me on like fucking crazy.”
You smile down at the floor until you see a shadow. Wade comes around the corner of the diner.
You draw your eyebrows together. “You’re telling me you actually left?”
“There’s no way you didn’t stay to watch us,” Logan adds.
“No, of course I stayed but I came ages ago. I was forced to be with my own thoughts while you kept going… and going.”
Logan rolls his eyes as Wade walks on, “What do you think, we–”
“And going…”
“Wade.” Logan warns, turning to you again, “How about we get this shit done with Wade and then go to your place and do this all over again?”
You giggle, “I like the sound of that.”

— masterlist !
oh my god i'm going feral. who wants to hear about a time-travel au concept where it's not you who travels back in time but bruce after he's discovered his neglect, his faults and mistakes? like he's given this opportunity to travel back when you were just newly born and he immediately books it and ran off to track your mother's location just so he could finally hold his baby, you, in his arms. for the first time in years, literal decades.
and he gets to carry you, the first ever child he's ever held as a toddler.
imagine he was transported back right after you've died (either by offing yourself, or by a villain before they could abduct you back into the manor) in the original timeline? the yandere element is definitely amplified. he'll make things right, all for your sake, he promises. he swears on his life that you're never going back to that old ditch, you'll never have to learn what pain is anymore. he'll have your mother in a loveless marriage, he'll amp up the baby-proofing, he'd do everything it takes to make sure you'll never experience what you had back then.
and when you're all grown up, you'll wonder why, just why your father treats you differently - his actions are desperate, they're calculated and there's some hidden meaning beneath all the intentions to spoil you, to protect you every time some form of danger targets you specifically and not your other siblings - from everyone else.
like, GOD the angst, the bottomless pit of guilt. does anyone wish to share this anguish with me 😭??? (i just thought of this idea for five seconds, out of the blue, and went along to write this for like 10 minutes or less).

“friend or foe” pt.2
soft!frontman (hwang in-ho) x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when frontman joined the games, he thought it was solely to see gihun fail, but his intentions shifted when a certain player number 455 caught his attention…
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
the next day, you ate breakfast with in-ho and the team. they discussed different strategies and games in which they might have to play.
naturally, in-ho had given his milk to you even after much protests. he explained how it would help you get stronger and ready for the games.
“where’s my milk?” jung-bae sulked as everyone laughed.
you stayed beside in-ho the entire time. since after the second game, you had grown very fond of him. and luckily for you, so did he.
he felt protective of you, he wouldn’t let you out of his sight. even more so in a place like this. when you were caught up with thanos’ team, trying to save yourself after bumping into nam-gyu
in-ho made sure to step up, teaching thanos and his friends a lesson for laying a hand on you, or even threatening you.
he would have went feral if you hadn’t stopped him by pulling him away into a corner, helping him cool off.
“it’s okay, i’m okay.” you told him as you tried to get him to tear his eyes away from glaring at thanos.
“did they hurt you?” he simply asked, ignoring everything else you had just said.
‘no’. you shook your head.
after that, he made sure he always had you within feet from him.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
when it was time for the third game, in-ho held your hand as everyone walked towards the game room.
“i hope it’s something we can play in teams.” he said to you, making you smile.
“why? so you can team up with me?” you teased.
“of course.”
when you reached the game room, a large carousel sat in the center of the room. around it were different colored doors with numbers on them, 1-50.
“what is this?” in-ho wondered out loud as a voice came through the speakers.
‘the game is mingle. the carousel will move when the music plays…once it stops, a number will be called out. the number is the number of people you will need to have in your group before you enter a room of your choice.’
“shit.” you cursed under your breath.
it was going to be a bloodbath.
of course, in-ho already knew this. he might have been acting scared, but deep down, he was. how was he to garuntee your safety in a game like this.
if he didn’t come up with anything quickly, he could mess up the game, or worse, lose you.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
‘start’
ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a
as the giant carousel began to rotate, in-ho’s grip on your hand became tighter.
‘10’
“we need 5!” gi-hun yelled over the chaos that insued.
“we’re 5! let’s go! green door!” player 120 said as both teams ran for the door.
inside, in-ho made sure you were okay first before he checked on the rest.
“you should be thanking me!” a woman suddenly declared, throwing her hand up in the air. “without me, you all would have died!”
“geez! the ego on this woman.” jung-bae scoffed.
then, she whipped her head around, finger flying to your face as she stopped inches away, almost hitting you.
“can i help you?” you asked.
“you… you’re here for a purpose.” she said.
in-ho pulled you aside, stepping in front as he glared at the woman.
“you talk to her again and i’ll make sure you’re locked outside.”
the woman could only gulp.
just in time, the door unlocked, saving the lady’s ass as well as yours.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
“fuckin’ crazy sharman lady.” in-ho muttered to himself as he got back up onto the platform.
you giggled. it was funny how he was affected by everything else but the deadly game he was in the midst of.
‘4’
shit. someone was going to be left behind.
“gi-hun! take her, i’ll find others!” in-ho instructed as gi-hun nodded, grabbing your arm and dashing into a room.
“young-il!” you screamed as you were being dragged away from him.
he was so selfless, he only cared about saving you and his ‘friends’.
“he’ll be okay.” dae-ho told you as he stood beside you, peeping through the hole in the door.
the next few minutes were excruciating. you couldn’t find in-ho in the running, desperate crowd.
little did you know, in-ho was in a room on his own, locking it before anyone could enter.
he catched his breath as a guard came up to the doorhole, aiming his gun at him.
“stand down.” in-ho ordered, making the guard turn away, walking off.
when the doors unlocked, you sprinted out.
“there!” gi-hun called out, pointing to in-ho who was running towards you.
you practically flung yourself onto him, taking him aback as he laughed.
“oh my god, i was so worried.” you told him as you pulled away.
“you can’t rid of me that easy.”
“ah! we thought you couldn’t find enough people in time!” jung-bae chipped in.
“i’m a very likeable man, i do well in these games.” he joked.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
when it came down to the final round, a thick air of tension filled the atmosphere.
the last number was announced, ‘2’. you knew exactly what they were doing. around 150 people left, 50 rooms, you were going to have to fight for the rooms.
the team had split up, in-ho naturally sticking eith you as you both ran for the nearest room.
just as you were about to enter, you felt a strong push, knocking you to the ground onto your back as the man took your place, shutting the door as the timer hit 0.
“y/n!” in-ho shouted as tears started to fill your eyes.
“young-il… don’t let me die.” you cried.
oh, he was angry. angry wasn’t even actually able to cover it. he was fuming.
he picked up the man by the collar, punching and kicking him as he yelled in frustration.
as the guards approached you, you heard his voice.
“standdown! now!” he said, “that is an order.”
just like that, the gun held up towards your temple was gone. the guard walked over to the room, using a set of keys to open it before standing behind you.
in-ho however did not step out. he simply grabbed the man who was already fighting for his dear life, locking him in a headlock.
“w-what?” you asked, backing away from in-ho as his eyes pooled with anger.
“take her upstairs.” he said to the guard as he nodded, lifting you up and dragging you away.
the last thing you heard was the loud crack of the man’s neck echoing through your ears.
(i am going insane)

Dilf! Toji helping his college gf study.. with his cock
Leaning against his door frame as he pushes it open wider. A smirk on his face as you shyly squeeze in past his frame.
You’re holding tons of books in your hands, peering up at him through your lashes as you hand them over. “So.. where do we start?” It makes his cock strain when you tilt your head with your lip nudged between your teeth. Curious as to how he of all people could actually help you study.
“You’ll see, doll.”
He sits you down on his lap with a silent groan. Flipping through pages in front of you as he watched your eyes barely scan over the page.
You huffed, turning around with your arms over his shoulder and a pout. “Come onnn, this is so boring.”
“Study, now.” His voice held no trace of playfulness, the deep rumble making you sigh as you turned back around. “Fine.”
You were so restless, twisting and turning in his lap making his grip tighten on your hips. The man’s breath hitching as his cock hardens.
“You know what doll? Change of plans.” You find his fat cock buried inside you instead. Your thighs twitching as you held back the urge to move, to grind, anything. You were so full, and he was so deep. You needed it.
“Please can i move?” You whimpered, arousal leaking lewdly out his thigh at the feeling of him sat directly against your spot. “P-plea.. haah— please.”
Toji grinned, his breath against your ear as he chuckled meanly. “How about this? For every question you get right, one point gets added to me absolutely ruining that tight little pussy of yours.”
Another whimper, “A-and if i get it wrong?”
“Minus one point of course. Hmm.. and let’s just say when i do fuck you. You won’t be cumming for a while.”
Question after question. Wrong answer after wrong answer. You were probably in the negatives already.
“T-toji ple-ase,” you hiccuped, small drops of tears threatening to spill at simply your neediness. You were so desperate for him to fuck you. Your pussy aching each time he turned you down.
Toji watched as you frustratedly wiped away your tears, pulling the book to you for you to read. Actually read. He was impressed, all so you could get a little bit of cock.
You spend at least thirty minutes studying the pages. Confident when Toji started asking questions. And you had every right to be, answering questions correctly after correctly. Your sniffled voice now turned smug making Toji’s eyes widen. That was hot and he fucking loved you.
“Now. Please fuck me,” you breathe.
“As you wish, doll.” He has you flipped over in an instant. Skirt bunched at your hips as he begins fucking into you. Veiny cock dragging against your walls with each starting thrust.
“Ahh— faster.”
Toji swore he could cum right there, speeding up the pace of his hips until he was ramming into you. Your body being rocked roughly against the couch’s fabric as you moaned loudly. Lips parted in thankful cries each time his hips met yours meanly. “So good, so fucking good.” You mewled, stomach tightening as tears welled in your eyes. Good tears this time.
Your back arched, hands hooking around his torso when your body began to tremble. So close to falling apart. “Nngh— Toji, ‘m so close.” You were right there at the edge, letting out a short scream when he reached down to rub at your clit.
“Yeah? Gonna cum f’ me doll? That’s it.. look at that.” He grunted, watching your eyes roll back with the blissful chant of his name. “It’s too bad i said you wouldn’t cum.”
You whined loudly when he slipped out of you, your hips bucking up towards him as your orgasm died down, adjusting to the new found emptiness. “You’re so mean Toji.”
He swiped his finger along your puffy lips. “I know. Now let’s try this again shall we?”

Between The Lines
Tumblr media
Summary-> It's the little things that go on behind the scenes between you and Drew that makes your chemistry electric.
Belongs to my: OBX Season 5: Payback for Maybank Series
These can be read in any order!
Tumblr media
"Park place." Maddison narrates where Drew lands his dog piece across the monopoly board. "I'll buy it." He says but your hand is in his face, "Not so fast. I'm sure you would love to buy it if I didn't already have a hotel on it. You owe me $1500. Pay up." You show him your open palm, ready for lots and lots of cash.
"He's so cooked. Look at that pathetic stack of cash Drew has. I've got piggy banks with more than that." Jonathan's comments send the four of you erupting into a fit of laughter which eventually dies down to a patient silence. "Sometime today would be great." Madison clears her throat.
"Josh is coming!" Drew points, appealing to your gullibility and you all fell for it. By the time you realized he was bluffing, the board was tossed and the pieces were all out of place. He gets up and runs off as if he already knew you'd be hot on his heels.
Your outburts left JD and Madison alone to pick up the pieces, but not without an interesting conversation. "50 bucks they're together by the time we finish the season." Madison says it so casually as she reaches underneath the couch for the pieces.
"So I'm not crazy? You see it too?" He looks almost relieved. "Trust me, I've got a knack for these things." JD seems skeptical about the timeline of the bet. "I dunno, we finish filming in four months. That might be too soon, I say by the premiere."
The both of them look up to Carlacia who seemed to have been streaming live on her istagram. She enters the room mumbling something about getting winded by you and Drew sprinting past her.
Madison scoffs, "That's like nine months from now. They could get together and break up by then, but you know what-- If that's what you wanna bet, then be my guest." She holds out her hand and JD shakes on it. "You're on."
"We're ready for you guys." One of the assistants notifys them that it was time to head to the screening room where the weekly table reads were held.
Today would be your first look at the script for the second episode, and to say you were shocked was an understatement.
Script Summary:
Eventually the pogues put their trust in Piper and she gives them a fair exchange of some arms that they can handle, while she opts for her weapon of choice, a steel pipe.
"How do you think I got the name and the scar?" She says and it puts an odd sense of comfort among the group, minus a skeptical Rafe, to know you were confident enough in your skills that you didn't need a gun.
They beleived they were in good hands, until they realized they weren't. There was movement coming from the bushes and it made the pogues stand on guard, beckoning them to come out. Soon, the figures finally revealed themsleves. More mercenaries.
"Nicely, done Piper. It seems you can still make yourself useful after all." The red-headed woman speaks up, tossing you a pouch of money that you caught with one hand effortlessly.
"Never doubt my capabilities, it's insulting." You warn, tucking the pouch into the bag strapped across your back. The british woman continues, "Y'know, Mr. Finch could use your talents again. Once we're done tying up loose ends, we're headed back to home base in Lisbon."
Rafe is livid. He knew he couldn't trust you. It couldn't be by pure coincidence that the mercenaries popped up in the middle of this oasis when you were leading. "Lisbon? You told us Finch was here-" Kiara exclaims and Rafe interrupts.
"It was all a lie, from the very beginning. Mr. Alami, the merchant from Agapenta, he was working with you, wasn't he? You knew he'd send us to you, and now you got your sad little payout from these dipshits for bringing us to them." Rafe seethes.
"I'll neither confirm nor deny that claim, love the enthusiasm though." Your attitude remains unbothered throughout the ordeal until Pope demands, "What do you want from us? We don't have the crown! Groff took it." The red head shrugs casually, sharpening her blades as she approaches the group.
"Don't you worry, Groff will get what's coming to him. For now, it's time to repay the debt that is owed. You get blood on your hands, I get blood on mine." Your eyes bulge, "Hang on, you never said you wanted to kill them." You step in and the woman pays you no mind.
"Perhaps because It's none of your concern. You've got your cut, now's a good time as ever to leave. It's about to get messy." She retracts her hand, about to plunge the blade into Pope when she's knocked out cold by a flying piece of steel.
The group looks over to you in shock, fear, and a hint of gratitude, but there's no time to gush about it when there's suddenly a brawl that breaks out between the mercenaries and the pogues.
You all hardly take them out before escaping.
"Piper, what the hell?!" John B yells and his anger is heavily agreed on in the group, you take it on the chin before offering the most sincere apology you could come up with. They're unconvinced. "I deserve that. Everything you heard back there is true. Finch's Fortress is in Lisbon. If you find him, you'll find Groff," You trail off, reaching into your bag, handing Cleo the pouch of money you'd just gotten.
"Take this. It's more than enough to get you a boat big enough to get across the atlantic and even have some leftover for food for a few days. When you arrive on the coast of Cascais, you'll need to head north in-land."
There's silence.
A long silence, nervous glances between the pogues and Rafe's eyes roll. "You guys cannot seriously be considering trusting her. She almost had us killed! Am I the only one who cares about making it back home?"
"Just shut up, Rafe!" John B silences him, and Pope speaks up. "Listen, I don't know about you guys but Piper just saved my life when she didn't have to. We've already lost someone. Going after Groff could be a suicide missison for all we know. But we all know this isn't about our safety, it's about revenge. For JJ." His speech is moving, the expressions agree.
"For JJ." They all agree.
"To Lisbon we go." Cleo chimes, and the group moves on.
End of Script*
You had just finished reading the script and you were blown away. The cast never knows what to expect whenevfer a new script is dropped in front of them.
"Wait a minute... If the pogues are going to Lisbon in the next episode then," Madison trails off and the director ties in, "So are we. Pack your bags, flights are booked for Saturday morning at 5am, please do not miss these flights, we're not opposed to writing you out!" Josh jokes and there's excited and shock all around the table.
You knew that the last season of the show had implied that the pogues would be on their way to Lisbon but it never dawned on you that it would be so soon, even though it made sense.
"You ever been to Portugal?" Drew leans in, a soft whisper in your ear tickled your skin and made the hairs on the back of your neck at attention. "Never, have you?" He thinks about it, "If a layover counts then yes, yes I have." You're not sure if the joke was funny or if it just left the mouth of an incredibly attractive man, nonetheless, it made you giggle.
Madison kicks JD from under the table, jutting her chin towards the two of you giggling in secret and he rolls his eyes. "Patience." He says it calmly, but Madison is impatient, she knows she'll reign triumphant by the end of it all.
-
It’s a Friday night—or, more accurately, the early hours of Saturday morning. The world outside your accommodations complex is still cloaked in sleep, and you should be too. But no. The responsibility of making your flight in two hours has ripped you from the warmth of your bed. Groggy but determined, you scrambled to gather your belongings, knowing you wouldn’t be back.
After a last sweep of the room, you opened the door with a flicker of confidence—only to jump at the sight of a six-foot-two figure standing in your doorway.
“Drew! Oh my god, you scared me.” Your hand flew to your chest in a theatrical gesture, your pulse thrumming in your ears.
A small smile tugged at his lips, his eyes crinkling slightly. “Sorry. Just wanted to make sure you were actually up. Everyone else already left. There’s one driver still waiting downstairs.” His voice was smooth, annoyingly easy to listen to this early in the morning. Too easy.
“You sound oddly refreshed for 3 a.m.,” you quipped, your own voice still husky from sleep as you grabbed your suitcase.
“That’s the beauty of insomnia.” He shrugged, gesturing to his temples with a finger like it was some kind of genius life hack. “You can’t wake up tired if you never really sleep.”
The elevator dinged open, and the two of you stepped inside. The silence that settled was heavy, charged with something you couldn’t quite define. It hung there until you both spoke at once:
“So where are you—” “How did you—”
You broke into quiet laughter, and Drew’s mouth twitched with amusement. “You first,” he said, giving you a slight nod.
“How did you know I hadn’t already left with the others?” you asked, tilting your head curiously. For a moment, something flickered across his face—an emotion too quick to name—before a light blush dusted his cheeks. He masked it with an easy tone.
“I did some askin' around,” he replied, the answer short and almost vague. It was just enough to spark your teasing instincts.
“Ah,” you said with a smirk, “so you missed me?”
Instant regret settled within you. The elevator seemed too small, too still as Drew turned to look at you, his gaze steady and disarming. For a heartbeat, he didn’t respond, and your cheeks grew warm under his stare.
“You could say that,” he finally said, the ghost of a smirk curling the corner of his lips. His attention shifted to the elevator doors as they slid open, leaving you to wonder if you’d imagined the whole thing.
The ride to the airport was longer than expected thanks to roadwork that forced a detour. You should've been annoyed, but at some point, your head found its way to Drew’s shoulder, and your eyes fluttered shut. The fabric of his hoodie was soft against your temple, and his warmth lulled you into a half-dream state.
Drew didn’t dare move. The weight of your head against him was almost too perfect, and he fought the sudden urge to reach for your hand resting on your lap. Instead, he focused on the ticking clock in the back of his mind and the quiet hum of the car.
When you arrived, he sprang into action. “C’mon, we don’t have time to waste,” he murmured, grabbing your suitcase and his carry-on in one hand while ushering you toward the terminal with the other.
You barely had to lift a finger. Drew handled everything—tickets, baggage check, even navigating customs—with practiced efficiency, his jaw set and his movements quick. He wasn’t just organized; he was determined.
“Do you always walk as fast as a drill sergeant?” you teased as you reached the gate, breathing a little easier now.
He shot you a look, his lips twitching. “I'm not a huge fan of being late,” was all he said. But the way his eyes lingered on yours for half a second longer than necessary told you there was more to it than that.
Finally, you made it to your seats in first class. You settled across the aisle from Madelyn, who flashed you a bright smile.
“I was starting to think you two wouldn’t make it,” she teased, leaning toward you with a glint in her eye. There was an underlying subtext to her words but you were too tired to decipher it.
“Drew made sure that didn’t happen,” you replied with a soft laugh. The words were simple, but they carried a warmth you couldn’t quite suppress.
From behind your seat, Drew caught the sound of his name on your lips--and god did he love the way it sounds. He didn’t know what you’d said, but it didn’t matter. The fact that you were talking about him stirred something in his chest.
As the flight began, you glanced back once, meeting his gaze. He held it for a fraction of a moment before looking away, his expression unreadable.
And yet, for the rest of the flight, he couldn’t stop thinking about you. Couldn’t stop replaying the memory of the weight of your head on his shoulder—or wondering what it might feel like to hold your hand in his.

JINX
the past few days have been quiet. too fucking quiet. especially for jinx. by now, she would have a talking to her hallucinations or blowing something—anything up but she being held down by something, this agonizing feeling in her chest by she hasn’t had a clue of what is it. she going on her daily routine to see what’s so off. when she wakes up, she wakes up next to you; she always talks to you; when she’s collecting parts, it’s always with you; when she’s making another invention it’s with—you. that’s the issue. jinx cursed at herself for her realization that she pushed you when she promised herself that she wouldn’t. no wonder she’s been so “unstable” according to sevika and silco.
she immediately dropped everything, forgetting about the fishbones project and left the lair. and immediately went to your place. she took out her spare key and immediately searched up and down, every corner for you but your house is empty. she was starting to panic, why aren’t you home? did you just get up and leave? she didn’t think her actions would hurt you that bad, she just wants to apologize for what she done, she didn’t mean it. “Jinx?” a soft voice creeps up behind her, “what are you doing?” jinx snaps her head around, tears resting on the edge of her eyes. “baby…” jinx breathes out.
You placed your bags next to the front door and closes the door behind you. suddenly jinx tackles you into a tight hug, sobbing into your shoulder, wrapping her arms around your waist. you pull her in close, letting her have her moment. “what’s wrong J?” you asked her softly, as she starts to cool off, small sniffles and tears drying up on her face. “i…i thought you left me after that argument we had.” her grip tighten around you. “please don’t leave me…i’m so sorry i didn’t mean to call you annoying o-or you were nagging me i promise and i—” you smash your lips into hers, causing her to softly melt into the kiss and share the warmth of the tight embrace. you slip out of the grasp of her lips and stare at her flushed face with a smile. “im not going to abandon you my love, im always going to be here.” jinx held your hand tightly, “i’m sorry.” you reciprocate her action, “i love you.” “i love you too.”

VI
another day, another lost at the pit fight. no amount of training until she sore, drinking her sorrows away, destroying her life is making the pain go away. no matter what she does, she always recalls the scared look you gave her, it sends a shiver down her spine each time. the horror of herself that you had to experience firsthand. the side that she didn't want you to see; caitlyn, whatever; but you. she deeply regrets that she lost her cool with you, off all people it just had to be you. she didn't bother drinking or training today, she can't. she can't even sleep without your face flashes in her thoughts. strolling around the undercity doesn't help much besides giving her some fresh air of the city she was raised in. she doesn't know how but she ended up at the brothel.
walking down the hallway, rooms filled with variety of sexual activities, workers and customers; she didn't care, she just ended one person right now. she walked past the other offices, she knows you mostly handle the money and service of the other workers for the customers. looking through the office window, she sees you looking over some paper works and envelopes filled with money. she twisted the door knob and closes the door behind her as she enters your office. you glance up at now black haired girl, her pink hair seeping through the tips and ends of it. "how can i help you, violet?" she tenses up and her breath hitches as you use her full name. "it's vi for you."
"who?" vi walks around your desk, you watch her cautiously, she hooks her arm around yours, pulling you up and off your desk chair. making you sit on the desk and pinning you down with both of her arms you trapping in between, "viol-" "vi. say my name correctly." she hovers above you, she slips herself in between your legs. your heart pounding in your chest, "fine fine, vi, what do you need?" vi chuckled dryly, " i want you, sweet." you scoff, "me? or that piltover girl?" vi grabbed your waist, "listen, i realized i was wrong; i care for you, and i love you, not caitlyn." her hands move to hips, pulling you in closer to her, "you were always there for me, even when you had nothing to do with me and caitlyn's mission you were there as always. and i'm sorry for taking that for granted and im sorry for calling you a prostitute." her thumbs absentmindly rubbing circles into your skin, she leans in closer and presses her lips against yours, pulling you into a soft passionate kiss; filled with love and affection. you pull away slowly, "I forgive you."

CAITLYN
you lay restless in your bed at home, away form caitlyn, you don't want to believe she's actually cheating, but the way she act together, maddie is always close to caitlyn, always touching, acting shy around your fiancee. you would always try to find time to bring it up but with the things going on with jinx and ambessa, your time with her lessen to almost nothing, even at night, she's always exhausted and out of breath. you're so lost in your thoughts you didn't even notice you were crying until a maid rushed to you side.
caitlyn could barely focused on the work in front of her, when she's training with ambessa, she seemed so distracted and distant from everything, according to the ambessa, "you do not come back until you're back on your feet, commander." the silence hung in the air. "we need not distractions for justice." that the last thing caitlyn heard before she left and went home to her office. maddie returned, he usual soft and comforting aura, it didn't feel like anything in the first place, but that's how maddie tries to come off. "commander, are you alright? you've been staring at the paperwork for 15 minutes now." maddie nervously chuckled. "I'm fine...just.."she rubs her temple in a pain and annoyance. "excuse me, i have to go see someone." she gets up and grabs her coat and leaves without hearing anything from maddie.
she knocked on the front door of your home, waiting patiently for you, she hears small shuffles and movements behind the door, she hears a faint metal sound; you're looking through the peephole. "what do you want caitlyn?" you open the door in a slight crack, enough for her to see and hear you. "hello...dear, you don't look well." caitlyn's face filled with worry and regret, voice low. "I'm fine." swiftly caitlyn, pushes the door open and pulls you into a tight hug. the cold air from outside slips into your home, causing you to shiver. "I'm sorry..." caitlyn started, "i never noticed how maddie was acting until recently, i assure...no...i promise you that I'm not cheating on you; maddie doesn't compare to you. never has and never will." you broke out into small sobs and sniffles, "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry.." caitlyn caresses your head gently, soothing you as you cried in her chest.

EKKO
since you recovered from that night, you kept your distance from your boyfriend, even on patrols with you, you stayed nearby but kept a small distance between you two, and of course he noticed, i mean he had to with the whole firelight community scolded him for lashing his anger out onto you.
another night again with patrolling with him, and you sat down at the top of the tunnel, where you got stabbed at but this same time, you're with your boyfriend; who seems extra tensed knowing this is where you go hurt. where he failed to protect you, when you didn't listen to him. you notice that he is shaking, violently. you hesitated but reached out and touched his knee, he stares at you in shock.
"calm down, ekko, if you're aren't fit for patrol then we could call-" "no!" he blurted out, "no...that won't be necessary, i'm fine." he continued on. the night sky and cool breeze surround the both of you. "I'm sorry-" you both said at the same time, you stared at each other. "it's okay-" it happened again. you chuckled, the blush rising on your face and also his. "i love you, fire." he kisses your forehead and cheek. "i love you too.." you pulled him into a soft kiss, officially calling this a good night.
