N.E.W.T Level Fuckery*
lol, it's my HP au. Sorry that jk* exists guys, but don't you want to continue to enjoy her world while giving her zero money?
this is what im working with so far
Buyi’s legs almost tremble as he approaches the sorting hat.
This is the first real test he’ll face, and he’s terrified he’s not up to it.
There are magical objects that can reveal him. There are magical objects that will reveal him. His aunt had framed his face between her palms — her palms have been so cold and clammy ever since she had helped him from under his parents' bed — and said, “You must remember this: You are Ling Buyi. There is nothing you cannot do or accomplish as Ling Buyi.”
“Will you be okay?” He had asked, one hand on her wrist as he met her eyes. She’d been trying to hide it from him, but he’d noticed the way her eyes had started to go glassy sometimes, as she stared into space and seemed to vanish. She’s shaking her head no even as she smiles wanly at him and says yes. Both are true he thinks. Both and neither.
“Ling Buyi,” Professor Shen says clearly, looking over the edge of her half moon reading glasses.
He’s met Shen Shunhua before. She’s worked at Hogwarts since she graduated four years ago, but before that, she was friends with his brother, no, his cousin, Huo Zuling. She and A-Ling had dated when at Hogwarts, Buyi thinks, but he can’t remember.
She ended up marrying the current registrar, a Muggle-born whose parents were in some type of trade, as he recalls. It was not spoken about favorably, but Professor Shen somehow never seemed to fall into ill favor.
His mother, no, aunt, had always said it was because she was too clever to follow the rules.
She’s looking at him now with a small smile, and Buyi wonders if she still thinks of Zuling. If she sees Zuling or his father in Buyi’s face.
The smile widens slightly, but becomes less generic too. “Ling Zisheng,” she says conversationally, almost jarring him with his own name. “It’s been a long time. I saw your mother last week. She’s very excited for you to be here.”
Ling Buyi blinks up at Professor Shen; he hadn’t known that she was a regular visitor of Huo Junhua. She’d also used his courtesy name, something that he found soothing. He glanced past her to where his foster-father sat at the head table, and he found his father smiling excitedly.
His father and mothers gifted him his courtesy name last year. It is a bit of a dated tradition, but he appreciates the gesture. It is one more line of separation between him and the man he is supposed to call father.
His father notices his look and pulls a little pennant flag from thin air and begins to wave it. The flag is red and gold and Buyi can just make out the words, “GO LIONS!”
Wendi’d announced, just last night, that Buyi would have to be a Gryffindor, with how similar he is to Huo Chong. The thought filled Buyi with warmth and dread at the same time.
He tries to smile at Professor Shen as he walks up to the stool, but he barely manages to grit his teeth and not scowl. Why be afraid of a chair? A hat? All of these idiots he’s grown up with?
At the head table, Professor Yue yanks the flag away from the Headmaster and pokes him in the side with it. Professor Xuan is half-heartedly tries to intercede, but she doesn't hide her wide smile as she reprimands them both.
Zisheng can’t help but chortle at their antics.
His cousin’s greatest strength was always how people underestimated him. And despite every awful thing everyone had said about him, Zisheng has never met another more firm and steadfast in their beliefs. Not for the first time, he aches missing his best friend.
A-Li would have been a Gryffindor, Zisheng has no doubts about that. He would have been in Gryffindor, and in a few years, he’d've been old enough to have his lungs repaired and then they could join the quidditch team together. A-Li was going to be a wicked seeker, and Zisheng hadn’t cared what position he played.
If not for his mother, he doubts he’d play at all, but she had been the one to teach him how to fly… She’d given him fearless on a broom.
Everyone in his family had joked about the houses. Until his aunt — his mother — every Huo since the inception of Hogwarts, and there had been Huos there, had been a Gryffindor.
Hell, that was Godric’s wife’s name.
Huo Chong was a Gryffindor. Perhaps, the Gryffindor. He had married Wen Li, Quidditch World Cup winning seeker, former Gryffindor Head Student, and late sister to the current Headmaster. Huo Chong had been a prefect and valedictorian and star chaser on the Gryffindor quidditch team.
Huo Chong’s first four children had all sorted Gryffindor.
Huo Junhua had been the first outlier amongst the Huo. She should have been a Gryffindor but went Slytherin. Ling Yi, her future husband, was also a Slytherin. Ling Buyi has grown into a sharp, cold eleven year old.
Almost everyone assumes he’ll go Slytherin as well.
His aunt, no. Mother. She had clasped his face in her cold and clammy palms and said, “You must tell the hat that you cannot go to Gryffindor. You’ll be safest in Slytherin.”
The hat falls down over his eyes.
“My name is Ling Buyi,” he thinks hard at the hat. “I do not belong in Gryffindor.”
The hat, who Buyi would swear was all ready to make a pronouncement before even settling on his shoulders, seems to take in a startled breath.
Can hats be startled? Can they breathe?
“Hmmmm,” the hat says in his ear, a whisper that immediately makes him want to turn his head towards it and away. It is somehow very obviously amused.
Buyi can’t help the tiniest huff of a laugh.
“That tickles,” he thinks reproachfully.
The hat seems to roar with laughter. “Such a brave little liar,” the hat teases.
“Bravery is worthless,” he thinks. “Gryffindor is not for me.”
The hat laughs mockingly again. “Now, what’s so wrong with Gryffindor, little lion cub? Many of the greatest wizards have come from this house.”
The hat taunts him with a series of images. First, Huo Chong and Wen Li holding the Quidditch cup over their heads. Buyi has seen the photo before; there was once a framed copy near the piano in his mother’s study.
Then Huo Chong, Headmaster Wen, and Wen Li in a dueling room with a group, demonstrating. Then Wen Li in red and gold, snitch in hand above her head. Then an image of Triwizard Champion Wen, sitting on the shoulders of Huo Chong, and… yes, Ling Yi.
Buyi’s gut clenches at the sight. The hat veers off.
Then a scene of his parents dancing in this very room. He wore formal robes in a deep red and she wore a ballgown of amber and gold. It appeared to be a fundraising gala long after their own graduation, because his mother was heavily pregnant, and the hall was bright with the colors of all four houses.
The next image is a man who looked a lot like his father, but who was wearing older-style clothing, being awarded the Order of Merlin, 1st class, standing next to him was Albus Dumbledore, hero of the first and second Voldemort wars.
The images sped up, and Buyi is perfectly aware that each of the Gryffindors he is being shown is related to him.
“Not Gryffindor,” he thinks as loudly as he could.
“Alright, alright little lion cub. I see you.”
The mere thought spills ice down his spine.
“Where do you want to be then, my little lion?”
He immediately thinks of Yuan Shen (Shanjian, now for courtesy). “I’d rather not go to Ravenclaw either.”
There’s another long laugh in his head. “You know, he was pretty adamant to not go into Slytherin because of you. If only he’d known.”
“My father was a Slytherin,” is the only way Buyi can think to reply.
The hat laughs at him again. “No. No, he really wasn’t.”
Buyi glowers and hunches forward. “He was. And so was my mother. She was the first Huo to be sorted into Slytherin in over four hundred years. And my father was a fifth generation Slytherin whose family have—
“Shut up kid, you don’t need to practice your lies out on me.”
Buyi frowns. “I’m not sure I understand what you—“
“Oh my god, someone apologize to Helga for me,” the hat says to him, just before shouting: “HUFFLEPUFF.”
The hat is pulled off and Zisheng finds himself blinking into the light. He was definitely under there longer than his classmates.
The applause for him is quite pronounced, but he thinks that might be a result of the length of his sorting rather than anything else.
He blinks up at Shen Shunhua who is still smiling.
It might have been nice to have been in Ravenclaw, he thinks, then at least she’d have been his head of house.
At the head table, his father doesn’t look disappointed at all; he looks touched. The flag has reappeared and gotten bigger. The words BADGERS DO IT BETTER flash at him across the room.
When Zisheng meets his eye, his father touches his chest just over his heart and smiles.
Zisheng just rolls his eyes in response. He hops down from the chair and thanks Professor Shen before he heads to the Hufflepuff table.
He sits down on the edge of the new first years, next to a third year named Liang Qiuqi, who he has to pretend not to recognize. Liang Qiuqi never met A-Li after all.
Qiuqi introduces himself to Zisheng and tells him to try the dish in front of him. It’s a specialty from the Huo State and Zisheng smiles as he heaps a pile on his plate.
A few moments later, Liang Qiuqi’s younger brother joins them at Hufflepuff, sitting down on Zisheng’s other side and Zisheng finally relaxes. For the first time since he’d found out he was going to Hogwarts and would be sorted, he heaves a long sigh of relief.
Hufflepuff was a surprise. Honestly, he’d been expecting Slytherin or Ravenclaw, but it’s a good surprise. He looks excellent in black.
At the head table, his father, the Headmaster stands.
A hush falls across the room and, for just a moment, Zisheng feels the magic of Hogwarts frozen in the air around them, a perfect fall night, a perfect meal, and a clear, starry sky above them.
He thinks about what the hat had shown him, Huo Chong in towering red robes, Wen Smith in her champagne gown, heavily pregnant but still spinning around this very room, laughing in her husband’s arms.
For a moment, Zisheng swears he can hear her laugh, the pealing of little bells, and he closes his eyes.
He’d spent years in the Muggle world, resented the fact he’d have to come here, tried so hard to avoid it, and now, his mother’s laughter is echoing in his ears.
The gratitude is undeniable. He holds onto that feeling as tightly as he can as he reminds himself of what he has to do. The burden eases just the tiniest bit.
Zisheng finally feels like he’s starting down the right path.

you should make a website!
"my favorite social media site is shutting down!"
"the CEO of the site i use just committed another atrocity!"
"i want a webspace that's all my own!"
if any of these sound like you (and if you're on tumblr, i know at least one applies) you should make your own website!
why make a website?
incredibly customizable
you can put whatever you want on it
it's, well, your own! like a house you build with your own hands
things you'll need
a computer. you can maybe get away with doing this on a mobile device, but i have zero experience there
a code editor. i like VScodium, which is a de-microsoft-ed version of VScode.
a will to learn ;)
site hosting
neocities. everyone knows neocities. at this point i do feel like it's become a bit too centralized, but it's a good option nonetheless. do note that there are filetype restrictions for free users, but that shouldn't be a huge issue for most. what may be an issue, though, is that there's a content security policy that prevents sites made after jan 1st, 2024 to use outside scripts. also, you have to pay to use your own domain
nekoweb. similar to neocities, but there's no filetype restrictions or a content security policy. some differences are outlined in the FAQ (thinking about moving here... i am a traitor...) i'm not sure if domain support is free or paid.
github pages or codeberg pages. you'll need an understanding of git for this
pages.gay: run by besties.house, uses git
teacake: free hosting is currently closed, but paid hosting starts at 2 bucks a month.
leprd.space: i know next to nothing about this.
a web server. don't recommend this if you don't know computer stuff but it is an option (you'll likely have to provide your own domain though)
gripes & solutions (?)
i'm not comfortable maintaining pages in pure HTML / templating with JS sucks!
with a static site generator, you can write pages in markdown and they'll be converted into HTML and (if you'd like) be put into a template of your choosing. my personal choice is 11ty but there are tons of options!
static site generators can be a bit of a learning curve (and you will have to write some html for templating) but if you're making a lot of pages or blogging regularly it's something to consider
there are starters for 11ty online but i might make a more beginner-proofed starter and/or guide in the future? don't count on it
i don't want to write/maintain CSS
simpleCSS is a tiny CSS file you can use to make semantic HTML ("naked" HTML) look nice. it's got decent customization options too. it's not particularly fancy or opinionated, but it's a good starting point if you need something
i don't know what to put on my website!
small list of ideas:
weblog
art/writing/music gallery
movie/show/book tracker
place to store bookmarks/links
scary! i'm scared!
my askbox/messages/e-mail inbox/etc. are open to anyone who'd like to ask for help!

Chapter Eighteen - CSS DEAD
The Norris' were a notorious crime family in the UK. One of many. With Norris, the head of the family, running operations with his son, Lando, they work to keep Y/N Norris, Norris' daughter protected. Life in a crime family wasn't something they wanted for her.
But with tension with one of the Spanish crime families rise, Norris and his now deceased wife come up with only one plan, offer their daughter to the Sainz's or risk an all out war.
Warnings: Guns, death

LH44 has anybody heard from CSS?
LN4 CSJ55 is safe but haven't heard from CSS
FA14 haven't heard anything down here
CSJ55 I am gathering my men to get back into my house
CSJ55 will keep everybody posted
"What's this?" Y/N asked as she leaned over her husbands shoulder and placed her hand on his shoulder, looking at the screen in front of him. It was clear what it was, a chat forum. But she couldn't make sense of any of the names.
Carlos leaned back, his head against her stomach. Her touch on his shoulder was light, but it was enough, for now. "Guess which one is your brother," he said as she leaned closer to read the screen.
There were so many usernames. LH44, LN4, CSJ55, CSS, CL16, AA23, MV33, JV1.
LN. Lando Norris. Y/N pointed to his last line of chat and Carlos nodded. "Okay, who is everyone else? Who is CSJ55? Why doesn't CSS have a number?"
Carlos told her all about the chat forums. It was kind of funny, actually. That mafia families used chat forums. "My father hasn't responded since we escaped the house," he said, scrolling back through the chat.
Carlos had two chat windows open. One with all of the heads of families and one with his men. Not all of his men were responding, anxiety bubbled up in Carlos's stomach.
That chat with the heads of families kept going. Everybody had responded, everybody but Carlos's stomach. He had tried to check the cameras inside of the house, but they'd all been disconnected or destroyed.
Carlos's phone vibrated against his chest. He picked it up, reading the text. "What is it?" Y/N asked softly, gently. Carlos wasn't hiding the screen from her or anything, but the text was in Spanish and she couldn't yet read it.
"My mother," he answered as he replied to the message. She was okay, had been in contact with Carlos ever since she'd made it to Alonsos safehouse.
As much as the Sainz family and the Alonso family hated each other, they had an agreement in place. If anything happened to the Sainz, those who could get out were to get to Alonsos territory if they could. It worked both way, with the Sainz offering sanctuary for Alonso and his men if needs be.
Señora Sainz had made it to Alonsos territory. By the time she'd gotten there, the attackers had left Alonsos. It was in a state, everything broken, documents missing, just like Carlos's house.
Alonso hadn't escaped like the Sainz family had. He had a bookcase that he could hide behind. Once he was behind it, the bookcase looked bolted to the wall, unmovable. Nobody thought to look for Alonso in there.
When Señora Sainz arrived at the Alonso house, he took her and her daughters to his own safehouse.
"My mother," he said as he placed his phone back on the desk. "She and my sisters are safe, but she hasn't yet heard from my father."
Y/N squeezed his shoulder. "He's gonna be okay," she said softly. There wasn't a lot she could do to comfort him, she knew in that moment. "He's a smart man. He'll know how to save himself," she said and Carlos nodded his head.
But he wasn't so sure.
He turned to his wife, who still had a hold of his shoulder. But she wasn't looking at him. She was looking at the gun he had beside the laptop.
It was the only weapon Carlos had brought with him, which was terrifying. If somebody found them, if a group of people found them, how was Carlos supposed to protect her?
She was staring and Carlos had no idea what she was thinking. He placed his hand over her own and used his other to pick up the gun.
"For my entire life," Y/N began as she touched the gun. Carlos still had it as she ran her fingers over the components. It was loaded, the safety off, and there was no way he was letting go of it. "Everybody around me has been carrying these things around," she said. "I was always afraid of them, and I never, ever wanted to learn to shoot one."
It may have been the way she was saying it, but Carlos knew there was something more. Whether she was going to voice it or not, he didn't know. But he could guess. With how she was behaving before they had to run, he could guess. "Would you like to learn to shoot it?"
She went to nod her head, but then she stopped. "Yes," she said, standing up just a bit straighter. "I'd like that."
Like wasn't quite the right choice of word, she thought as soon as she said it. What she would have liked would have been to never have to shoot a gun, to never be in this situation in the first place. But it had become necessity. Necessity for her for learn to protect herself, to be stronger, to protect her husband.
It was strange for them, to be outside of the cabin. Since they'd arrived only Carlos had gone outside, and that was only from necessity, or to smoke a cigarette. He'd gone to the shops, gotten them food, water, clothes, anything they needed. And every time he had been in some way disguised.
But not now. Now, he and Y/N stood outside of the cabin, surrounded by the trees. It was cold, colder than Y/N expected it to be, and she found herself wrapped up in Carlos's jumper.
It smelt just like him. That combination of smoke and pine. She couldn't stop herself from lifting the collar of the jumper to her nose and inhaling. Again and again she smelled the fabric until it surrounded her, consumed her.
Carlos set up the empty spaghetti cans on top of a fallen tree. He wasn't very good at placing them, and they wobbled and fell off more than once. When he had them all lined up, he waited a moment, made sure the cans weren't going to fall, and walked back over to Y/N.
He pulled the gun from his pocket and placed it in Y/N's hands.
Shooting a gun wasn't supposed to be romantic. But somehow it was. Somehow the way Carlos stood beside her, with his arms wrapped around her, was romantic. Shocker.
He focused on her aim. It wasn't good, and the recoil had Y/N struggling. She tried her very best, and hit the top of the can in the middle, but didn't do much else.
"Can you just show me?" She asked after deciding she'd wasted enough bullets (Carlos had shown her how to reload, too. That she had gotten quick at).
When Carlos nodded his head, Y/N stepped back. She pressed her back against a tree and watched as Carlos, using just one hand, with one eye closed, shot every can sitting on the log.
It was... Hot. A huge turn on, but she couldn't stop herself from pouting. As hot as it was, she wanted to be that good. She wanted to be able to shoot with such precision. And she wanted it now.
Carlos laughed as he walked over and offered her his hand. He pulled her up from the tree, pulling her close before very quickly letting go. "No matter, my pretty little wife," he said as they walked back towards the cabin. "We can try again tomorrow."
Y/N nodded her head, but it was somewhat reluctant. If it wasn't for wasting bullets, she'd keep going. But she followed Carlos into the cabin and sat herself down on the end of the bed.
She still wore Carlos's jumper. The inside of the cabin was warm, but she didn't care, she just wanted to wear the jumper.
Carlos sat himself at the desk and opened the laptop once more. He logged on, going straight to the chat he had with his men. There weren't many that managed to get away from the house when the shooting started; only twenty of them were responding to him. Nobody from his fathers house was responding.
Laying back on the bed, Y/N grabbed her book and began reading as Carlos scrolling through the chat.
"Shit," he suddenly whispered and pushed the laptop away. He stood up suddenly, knocking over the chair, and grabbed the carton of cigarettes from the bedside table.
"Carlos," Y/N called as he grabbed the cigarettes and marched out of the cabin, slamming the door shut behind him.
She walked over to the window, looked outside and watched as Carlos, with the cigarette held between his lips, lifted his lighter to the end of it with shaking hands. He pulled the cigarette away and released the smoke from his lungs, sinking to the floor.
Y/N walked out of the cabin. She walked over to him and got down onto the floor, the ground beneath her knees cold.
He rubbed at his eyes as Y/N wrapped her arms around him. He wasn't crying, no. Mafia bosses weren't allowed to cry. And he was the boss, now wasn't he?
She didn't say anything, just held him. She wrapped her arms around him and pulled him against her chest.
But then Carlos pulled away. He stood up, leaving Y/N on the ground, and finished his cigarette. She watched him, unmoving. Unsure of what to do, she only watched him. Confusion was written on her face as Carlos finished his cigarette and walked back into the cabin, leaving her there on the floor.
Y/N immediately stood up and dusted herself off. She followed after him, pushing her way into the cabin.
Carlos stared at her. She stared at him. Neither of them said anything. His hair was a mess, like for the few seconds he had been alone he was pulling at hit. His eyes were red but no tears stained his face.
She wasn't going to let him be an asshole to her, not anymore. As much as she wanted to attack, demand his respect, she couldn't do that. That wasn't who she was.
Instead she walked over to him and, again, wrapped her arms around him. "Just talk to me," she whispered and ran her fingers through his hair, trying to sort it out. But then she read the words on the screen in front of him.
CSS DEAD

i need more mutuals who are into coding and engineering!! more info under the cut!!
I planned to become an electrical engineer like my stepdad but then I decided to change my path to programming. I'm currently studying at technikum (<- wikipedia link so I don't have to explain the whole polish learning system), programmer major.
this year I have exams from web development (10th Jan - theory, 16th Jan - practical exams) and next year I have exams from App development (both mobile and desktop).
I know C family languages, Java, Python and those ones I am currently using. I also know a bit of Kotlin and I think I will continue learning it.
For web dev I know HTML and CSS ofc but also PHP and JS.
Planning on learning more languages I can use for App and operating system development as well as just to know them cause I want to after this year's exams!
my learning list:
Lua (I heard it's easy but I can't really get myself to read anything about this atm idk why)
Ruby
Assembly
Rust
As for electrical engineering I don't know much tbh but I would like to learn! I just used CAD programs for technical drawings (dad taught me some basic things when I was still thinking about going his path) helped my dad fix things on his Solar farm, houses of our neighbors and I made a few very simple circuits for fun a few years ago. Now I'm mostly focused on programming but since I learned most of the things I need for exams I have more time to do whatever I want now!
I'd like to get to know more people so I can share and mostly learn new things since even though I'm coding for years I consider myself a beginner and I am a total beginner when it comes to electrical engineering.
I'm willing to be friends or at least mutuals with anyone who codes or makes websites or is in STEM! no matter what your specialty/interest is exactly and no matter if you are a total beginner or a professional ^__^
I'd also like to have some mutuals who are into old web development and retro computing!!!!!!!!
edit: I forgot but I'm also interested in physics and quantum physics

The Mystery of Aaravos The Banter Lodge
So, recently an account called "The Banter Lodge" has popped up. April 30th, to be precise. You've seen it. I've seen it. We've all seen it. On Twitter, posting various images in the TDP official style.
A few nights ago, it debuted on Tumblr as well. "Coming May 2024" all of the promotional images and the website itself say.
Who is this account? Is it fan made, is it official? It's May, when exactly in "May 2024" is it coming?
Well, me and a few friends took some time to try to piece the mystery together, and so -- while it may still be 'coming', only dropping hints, I am here to tell you what I know now!
History
Website Code ( I love computer programming so I took the time to dive into that!)
Purpose
A. History
Who's Running the Banter Lodge?
To know that, first we need to delve into the history of the Twitter account.
Despite these images and site debuting less than a month ago, the account itself was founded way back in 2022, and originally called @BantherLodge, with an H, as it is in the show.
@BantherLodge is no longer available, and while it initially did not seem to be connected to The Banter Lodge, there are several interactions linked to the current one, Banter Lodge without an H.
In fact, here is the same tweets linked to the current (banter) account version.
Now we've established that @'BantherLodge' and @'BanterLodge' the same account with a changed name and identity, here is the most important past interaction:
@‘bantherlodge’ is mentioned here, and they are on this call. that said, WHO IS REALLY BEHIND BANTER LODGE? well based off the tweet, it seems that it’s 6 members of the cast and then 2 guests, @‘thebantherlodge’ and @‘ladytheebug’. But don’t take my word for it. Here, more confirmation:
Another person in the call happened to tweet about it too, this time with labels.
Now let’s take a closer look at these two guests. Sara @‘ladytheebug’ seems to be the one on the right, and by process of elimination, on the left is ‘bantherlodge’. aka:
Max….
Max the Mystery! ‘Sara’ and ‘Max’ isn’t really enough information to know more along with no connection to other socials so it’s hard to pin down who they are or what connections to previous fandom projects or creative projects in general they might have. However, they are still connected.
Besides the partially deleted various back and forths between these two accounts, this tweet about the Bait screensaver in the background is additional confirmation that this is @‘bantherlodge’ and @‘ladytheebug’: (note use of word ‘our’)
FURTHERMORE:
Said TV embodies this duo: A person who loves Bait (evident from so many of their tweets) and a person who loves the Banther Lodge…
Reminds you of something, doesn’t it?
“but hold on, just because there’s all these coincidences doesn’t mean the account could be passed on to someone else to run this.” Ok, but one last thing. If that was the case, why would they still be following Sara? In fact, it’s the Only person that they’re following besides TDPO?
(and their following has even been recently updated within the last few days as before then it didn’t include Eugene and Boone.) So, in conclusion,
Max of @‘BantherLodge’, and possibly Sara, (with or without TDPO but I’ll get to that later) almost certainly are the people behind the curtain of this Banter Lodge mystery.
Now, about said mystery… what exactly is the trail building up to?
well, to find out more about that, let’s glean what we can from the website.
B. Website Secrets
The website itself is very simple- A background, the image of the Banter House, and some text saying "Coming May 2024." But, beneath the deceptively simple surface, there was more to be found.
On May 1st Caprinae got this from the page. She also tweeted about it, after which the site changed to remove much of the css, including the part about the episodes and subscribe button. I was pretty excited about this as someone with a few years of coding experience, I wanted to mess around in VSC and see what I could find out.
After formatting the code the most noticeable thing is this right?
And when I make an element for it to apply to (since all that code is just formatting for stuff on the page like the title, images, etc, in this case- an audio bar) + adding in an image and an audio file:
We get this
AUDIO and an image. It looks exactly like a podcast episode. It turns out there’s actually a bunch of code for formatting that’s not used in elements in the site (elements that exist: the title or image), but it’s there, so I made some elements it would apply to. technically, it’s supposed to have a parchment paper background too, but I just chose some colors that you could see the text on.
Doing so, we get this!
(Here’s a video version.)
Plus, Original Code and Modified Code if you’re curious
Anyway, so the site (at least at the stage the code was taken from) doesn’t appear to be finished and there was no Java script written (or at least, linked) but there is definitely the makings for a website for a podcast— some sort of nav bar with the episodes, on an episode page, the image and audio, and then a subscribe link at the bottom!
C. Purpose
Time to speculate on the real identity and purpose of the Banter Lodge. So far, we know it used to be called the Banther Lodge. We know it seems to be run by [insert here.] We know it is almost certainly a podcast of some sort. But what, and why?
Here are some possibilites:
1.Official Content to Tide Over Fans Til S6 As we know, to calm the frustration of fans at Netflix/TDP for the delay of S6, the creators have been putting out content every day for the fans to puzzle over and figure out the season six titles.
Based on the current schedule, it’s set to end on May 13.—although it could be ending either May 13 or May 14 (depending when they do the last hint) after these drop, there will likely be a lull in TDP content, which would be the perfect time for the Banter Lodge to launch.
+ The Banter Lodge teaser campaign has already been perfectly timed for when a bunch of fans would be online on Twitter checking in for clues to begin with.
If this is official content, it would doubly make sense—it’d be timed perfectly to tie the fans over until the actual season six campaign starts (ie, trailer). Considering these two fans also somehow got to have a private panel with the cast, it’s not impossible that they’d be working with TDP on this content, additionally the teaser images put out this far have been somewhat reminiscent of TDP official content—ie, Callum’s lodge notebook->Callum’s sketchbook, Refractions->Reflections, Dear Callum letter from Rayla, design style, etc.
However, there is one big reason I don’t think this is the case: it’s a little too sloppy. For example, if they wanted it to be completely anonymous and unclear what was happening, the tweet mentioning @‘BantherLodge’ in the panel would have been deleted and there wouldn’t have been any hints in the code. Of course, these could still just be honest mistakes. However, it also seems like it is building off of the current world in a more derivative, fan-content fashion, not necessarily adding new material the way TDP Official tends to. It’s copying the official style,—but almost too much if that makes sense.
Like altering a shot from the show for a teaser.
x
Don’t get me wrong. I love the way that they’re building off the world, I’m excited to see where it leads, but for whatever reason, to me, it just doesn’t seem official.
So assuming it’s made by fans, what kind of podcast is it? Second possibility—
2. Fan Made Talk Show
This seems like the most obvious conclusion, considering that The Banter House is a play on a location in TDP, and the word banter, which is synonymous with talking, but specifically back and forth, genial interactions.
Maybe it’s dedicated to analyzing the show or a particular aspect,—maybe centric to the lodge, crystals, Bait and Stella—maybe even interviewing cast/crew!
Well, to get a better idea of what niche it might be filling, let’s take a look at what TDP podcasts are already out there.
Hot Brown Morning Potion Podcast [2019-2023] Hosted by Tamika "Kuno" Williams and Hailey from Cartoon Universe. This podcast [is] full of answering fan questions, interviews, theories and all kinds of discussions on everything Dragon Prince.
News from the Breach [2020-2024] Your hosts Ceilidh and Yana are watching The Dragon Prince from start to finish. Each season of the podcast covers one “Book” (or season) of the Netflix series The Dragon Prince. In each episode we discuss two chapters of the series, except for the season finales.
Calm Chaos Club [2023] Join Kevlar and Lou each week as they discuss topics about animation, design, and all things related to The Dragon Prince on Netflix! With special guests brought on for unique topics and insights into the creative process, these bite-sized episodes will ensure you can get your TDP fix in anywhere and anytime.
There’s no harm in another talk show but as there are a few out there already (and for other reasons) I personally think this is not necessarily the niche the banter Lodge is going to fill. I mean, I do think that it’s still possible I mean, it could be centric to particular aspect around the lodge as mentioned.
However, there’s a possibility that excites me a lot more, that I’m hoping for the most….
3.Fan Made Audio Drama in the Saga Setting I have personally always been a huge fan of audio drama podcasts (TMA,TPP,WTNV) and if there was a dragon Prince audio drama podcast, I think I would just die on the spot honestly from joy. I also think it’s most likely because all of the clues so far have been very story/worldbuilding oriented, as well as writings from familiar characters’ perspectives. It seems as though a story is being crafted here, and I am all for it.
Y’know what? While we’re here on the topic of storytelling podcasts, we might as well throw in D&D/TTRPG or even Tales of Xadia as a possibility because yeah sure. Why not? I mean, tabletop role-play games also involve a lot of talking so it would fit the banter theme. Who knows.
That's all! What do you think? Any other thoughts, additions or other speculation? Feel free to add on!
Thanks to @bycaprinae for Twitter screenshots, html, and general inspiration, and to @parroset for other help with the website part and general support!
#tl;dr all evidence points to it being a fanmade podcast! Possibly launching May 15th!#CS Major core;#One of those things where I’m like. Should I post this#Well#I value…I promise the people freedom of information and so freedom of information is what they’re gonna get#This actually helped me learn/remember a lot of web design stuff haha#Yay#the dragon prince#tdp speculation#sort of#tdp meta

hello big man rounderhouse, the house is very round 🔥 i'm a big fan of your redtape series and your worldbuilding; i've been writing my own original story for years now, and all i've been doing is planning, planning and planning, but i feel like no matter how much i do, i keep feeling like i won't be able to write a cohesive or good story. how do you plan your stories, and more importantly, how do you manage to actually get those words on the paper ? of course, i know you just gotta do it, but whenever i try, i just hit a wall halfway, and feel like i need to plan even more
i always have a bit of trouble answering these questions because they come from a place very orthogonal to how i write -- not that that's a bad thing! but for me the issue is rarely one of wanting to have it 100% planned out before i jump into it. i rarely plan out my stories beyond the broadest strokes; maybe i'll write an outline, but unless i'm expecting it to be novella-length, i kind of just wing it beyond that, and i recommend giving that a shot. you know where you're starting, you know where you want the story to end, so instead of painstakingly drafting out every bit, just start at the start and, well, keep going until you end up where you wanted to. i think part of it is that beyond storytelling i also just enjoy the act of writing -- putting sentences together, making them flow, communicating tone and vibe to the reader. i think you need to cultivate an appreciation for that to some degree, otherwise writing is just a grueling trudge to get to your final product, which is no fun at all
as for feeling good -- you can only get good at writing by doing it. it's a practice sport, just like anything else, and the improvement only becomes apparent after dozens of stories. not a fun answer, but the only true one. you can help that along by analyzing stories after you write them for what you and other people think works, doesn't work, but that does require you to silence the voice of "i'm not good enough". you're not good at most things until you do them a lot, so not being good at them is a terrible reason not to do them. you have literally no stakes in writing on the internet, so i really recommend taking advantage of that to cut your teeth writing whatever. all storytelling is practice
there's a very compelling temptation to all creatives to avoid doing the hard creative work and take refuge in what they know won't challenge them -- making plans for your stories for you. for me, it's making images and CSS instead of writing. but growth requires challenge, and you gotta break out of that hole if you ever want to see the story on the page.
i wrote quite a bit more than i intended to, but i hope that ramble helps you at all! i look forward to seeing what you make

Among the Haunted Release!!
Happy Halloween everyone! For the past few weeks, I have been working on a collaboration with @albywritesfiction (who is one of the best people I have ever worked with; they have helped me so much with proofreading, coding, and looking for images 🥺 thank you so much!!) to make a game for Halloween.
The game has been submitted to ECTOCOMP English version (Le Grand Guignol) and Cozy Halloween Jam, so go check it out!
And so, Aurie and Alby bring you...
Being a single parent is never easy, especially when you have two kids to raise. You also live in a haunted house, where the supernatural inhabit the same space as the place you are meant to call home. Both of these factors equal chaos, which leads you to the present.
It is Halloween. Live through the spooky day on 13 Hallows Lane and decide what you will do when the sun begins to set and trick-or-treat goers fill the sidewalks.
What will you do? Decorate your house? Play some pranks on poor trick-o-treaters with help from the ghosts within your walls? Attend to your children to make sure they do not tell anyone that your house is haunted? The choice is yours!
Warning: this game has mentions of blood, ghosts, spiders and clowns, as well as disturbing themes. Please proceed with caution.
🎃 FEATURES
Mainly a linear game with some route differences based on your choices. Are they good? Are they bad? Who knows.
Choose your first name, your children's names (a boy and girl), and what they call you! However, you are locked in a preset personality, so you cannot change how you react to situations.
Live through your first Halloween at your haunted house, which is full of kind monsters and creatures you never thought existed until you met them.
Encounter strange things in your neighborhood.
🍭 CREDITS
Thanks to @writing-prompt-s for the following prompt: "You live in a very haunted house, but it’s not that bad. The voices in the basement remind you of your laundry and tell you to check the boiler, the rat size talking spider keeps the pests away and is a pretty good therapist, and the victorian ghost children are great friends with your kids."
Special thanks as well to Ash, author of Inner Demons, for some UI inspiration from her Twine/Sugarcube 2 Template (especially for the button CSS!)
And of course, thank you so much to Alby for helping with editing, coding, and helping me with advice! AtH couldn't have asked for a better guardian spirit ;)
All images came from Unsplash and were found by Alby. Banner and game cover made on Canva.
Check out the game here: GAME!

How to Submit Your Story to the AO3 Collection
Please read this guide carefully before submitting your story - we recommend having this page open at the same time, to follow along with, if you have never submitted a story to an AO3 collection before. Ensure that your accompanying artwork is finished and ready to go before submitting, and ensure all works are added to the collection before 23.59pm September 15th.
Please do not submit your story until it is ready - ensure all changes are made in your Word or Google doc. Updates to your fic once placed in the collection result in multiple draft copies, which we have to reject, so please don't submit until you are ready to hit 'post' (please hit 'post' and do not save as a draft - hitting post will successfully submit your fic to the collection and hide it until its reveal date)
Artists, you do not need to do anything. Send your artwork directly to your writer and they will handle the upload.
Step by step instructions below the cut.
To ensure that the artwork in your fic adapts to the right shape and size, depending on whether users are reading on mobile or desktop, you will need to create a workskin - do this first.
Log into your AO3 account and go from Dashboard to Skins
Go to My Workskins and Create Workskin
Choose "Work Skin" if it's not the default
Title whatever you like; description is optional
Type in the CSS code shown below exactly the way it is here:
#workskin img { width: auto; max-width: 100%; height: auto; }
(We recommend copying and pasting, so there are no mistakes)
On the bottom right under "Actions" will be the option to Submit for you, tap/click and you're done!
Once you're done, you choose New Post in the top right of your browser. You fill out the Rating, checkmark the right Archive Warnings, choose the Fandom (i.e. House of the Dragon in this case), the Category that applies to your story, the Relationships and Characters. Last but not least, you put in the Additional Tags (i.e. more warnings, or triggers).
You get to the point where you put in the Title of your story and Co-Creators, this is where you'll list the Big Bang account, more details on this further down. Then follows the box to fill in your Summary. If you want to add a note at the beginning or end of a chapter, you checkmark the option and a box will open. Whatever you write in there, please note it will be gone if you uncheck the box.
Type in "House_of_the_Dragon_Big_Bang_2024" under Post to Collections/Challenges and select the Collection shown in the description.
Under Gift this Work to, you should add your Artist and Beta Reader. As a co-creator, please add hotdbigbang.
Select the This Work has Multiple Chapters if your story has more than one chapter.
And last but not least, you Select your Work Skin before you get to the part where you can paste in your story.
Finally, posting the art to your story within the story:
Choose Rich Text
Tap the image icon
Once you have tapped the image icon, a little box window will open in which you have to insert the Source. Writers, you get the image address to insert from your Artist.
Not all image addresses work, the most effective are from Discord or Tumblr.
Please add an Image Description of the image you are posting, it will be for those who use TTS- text to speech to have someone read the story, that includes visually impaired people, but also those who simply like it to listen to a story. It will be nice for them to hear what they would see in the image. You can be as detailed as you like.
Next is Width and Height, both get automatically generated and even if the image pops up really big when you tap Save, remember you used a Work Skin that will adjust it accordingly for your readers once posted.
Hit submit and you are done! Your fic will remain unrevealed in the collection until your reveal date. We will post the full reveal schedule closer to the deadline.

There is something very weird about the relatively short nature of the culture surrounding website creation. As in, like, internet-user-created websites have been around for like 30-31 years at this point, and the culture surrounding them has changed so very much.
People used to create websites left and right for their own needs, their little shops and their little blogs about what they liked. Some websites of course housing horrible content since their dawn, and some being as mundane but as unique as the person behind its code. I have seen older sites, archived, that promoted creating your own site, and that was interesting to see. That culture of creating your own website and of sharing that knowledge on a still-growing facet of communication.
And then at some point social media appeared, and that was interesting, because now everyone was able to quickly present themselves without the need of a website, but that didn't mean people stopped making websites. I mean, hell, Geocities died in 2009, so a lot of people were creating their own websites for free before that time, no need to pay for domain names or hosting. And even without Geocities, there were other website hosting things that yes, while not as customizable, were still a resource for people to work with them. There's still a website floating around that I made when I was a kid using one of these services. Cool stuff.
All this to say that I do feel a weird sense of dread looking back and cross-referencing with the present and seeing things like "website creator powered by AI" and shit like that, because just ?? How did it go plummeting so quickly. There is a weird feeling of having lost a developing culture to corporations making quick access to posting things that, as corporations' nature dictates, are used to sell data or to train models or what have you. Similarly, we get pretty same-y looking pages because of the need to be slick or whatever with designs that just leaves everything looking the same. ALSO, the loss of spaces for kids, or just the gradual lowering of them in favor of cocomelons and whatever else the devil's machine has spawned is like watching an apple decay before having ripened. I do feel like there is this phenomenon in which how to make a site has been lost in the notion of "making a website falls into the realm of evil and scary coding and I could never be a programmer, plus who would look at it, plus we have tools to make them," etc etc etc. Here is a little secret: website creation is not exactly hard to pick up at all. You might say it's very similar to using a rich text editor like Word or a notes app or whatever you use. Similarly, have you used markdown for things like messages or D iscord messages, you know, with the asterisks for bold text and the likes? Markdown is based on html's structures. And truly, you do not have to even learn to code using Javascript if you don't want to, you can just go full html + css and structure your things as you go, adding your little images and your updates. Because guess what !! Html and css are not programming languages, they're a markup language and a stylesheet language respectively, which is a fancy way to say "you make the structure of your page with the first one and make it pretty with the second one". This includes cool stuff like tables, lists, grids, colors, transitions, etc. All of that without any programming. (That being said, if you are interested in programming, Javascript isn't too bad to pick up. The language itself *is* kind of evil, but using it in conjunction with html is not too difficult). I do have to say though, I am glad that there is a push to making your own websites and things, especially with Neocities sprawling a huge community of avid website creators, as well as the huge amount of tutorials and stuff making the push forward with making sites and online spaces and experiences more widely available. Hopefully this becomes a trend that keeps going up, considering the state of seemingly every single social media that has existed since the 2000s- 2010s.

Favorite Color: i have three: blue, purple, neon pink
Last Movie: i'm pretty sure it was the sea beast, all the way back in september 2024 with bestie. i love sea monsters, befriending creatures and thalassophobia-related stuff so this movie was very fun
Last Book: i haven't read an actual book in ages because my focus is so bad, but i read a lot of fanfiction and sometimes webcomics. the last webcomic i read was what happens next, it's ongoing and really great so far
Sweet, Spicy or Savory: i love sweets so much and i pretty much never exist without some kind of sweet food in the house
Last Thing I Googled: i googled "fear and hunger" earlier because i started it recently and i wanted to see if the title uses "and" or "&" so i could write about it in my journal. it uses &
Current Obsession: i usually have several of these at a time. right now, it's my characters and learning html + css. i've been writing more and trying to complete some short stories, also trying to draw stuff that shows my ocs' traits and interactions with other characters. as for html and css, i'm Very Beginner but learning it has been so fun.
addendum: i'm also still obsessed with antonio from identity v. it's been around 3 years of that
Looking Forward To (but nervous about): my adhd assessment next week. i'm Very Very sure i have it so i'm excited to get formally diagnosed, but like... what if i mask too good or something. i'm just a Get Scared guy

Today's menu is: a vatņik soup
What an interesting three-of-a-kind. Let's look at it closer:
The first photo: a russian artist with an interesting nickname. If you transcribe it on russian Cyrillic and then go back to English, it turns out to be "moscow police." Let me remind you that moscow police is not only participating in killing, raping and torturing Ukrainians, Belaruthians, Qazaqs, Crimean Tatars, and other people who are not "Great Arian Russian", but are also the same people who kill and torture average russians, whom Americans care so much for, as well. Just like in the teract in Krokus City Hall. The moscow police is the organisation that works directly for putin and kremlin. It's like being a German artist during WW2 and having a nickname Schutzstaffel. Although I doubt people in hetalia even know what this word means because they are not interested in studying history, after all.
The more I am here, the more I believe such a kind of artist is just paid by russia to draw this bullshit. And people who share this - yeah, it's about 50-100 of them, but they are all the same faces, every time. Seems like there's an organised community that brings confusion to other people and spreads disgraceful and dangerous ideas about my long-suffering people and land. That's a thing I wish Tumblr staff paid closer attention to. I would not be surprised if the artists who promote russia here actually work for KGB (officially FSB, but it's just the renamed CSS).
"The house which Ivan built" - impressive, very nice. Now, let's see the news from my country:
"Kharkiv, April 4th, a young firefighter cries at the scene of the attack, where russians cynically killed his father, a 52-year-old rescuer, a few minutes ago. On this hellish night, immediately after the first explosions, the father and son and their colleagues immediately left for the place of impact.
Vladyslav and Volodymyr worked next to each other, literally a few houses away from each other. When a powerful explosion rang out, the son immediately understood that it had most likely flown to where his father was."
And these are the remains of a missile. In russian Cyrillic, it is written "for Krokus City Hall". A teract there was organised by.... moscow police! And some ISIS and Hamas representatives, whom moscow police carefully helped to leave the crime scene.
Second art - also russian artist (who could have thought!). They call Belarus (and, apparently, Ukraine... or maybe even all former soviet union states) "Russia's family". Belarus is holding a book "1000 and 1 reason to love the brother". Laughing out loud. Belarus never was russia's sibling, and moreover, it never loved russia. Belarus hates russia more than Lithuanians and Ukrainians hate it altogether. They just can't say it outloud. Yet.
You know? Such kind of art makes Belaruthians feel unsafe. That's why there are so many russians drawing our land and claiming we are their siblings who love them. Belaruthians just avoid anything that makes them feel unsafe. Too many Belaruthians were killed already. Belaruthians and their families are being persecuted all over the world for speaking Belaruthian language, for wearing white-red-white stuff, for making art in Belaruthian language. We feel in danger - and this website, especially this fandom with the tag of our own fucking country, doesn't help us feel safer.
Russians murdered about 60%, if not more, of all the people of Belarus, including Litvaks, especially Litvaks, just during the soviet union. Nowadays, russia doesn't want Belarus to exist either - thus, the russian artists like the fairytale about Belarus loving and wanting to unite with russia.
One day, prorussian propaganda will be condemned the same way we condemn nazis. One day, this becomes true.
Third art - the artist is... no, not russian. Chinese! What a poor dude, I feel nothing but pity, really. "Ivan is terrified" - good! :D Finally, some nice fucking art. /sarcasm. This dude is doing a great job in presenting their country as a country of uneducated idiots. The tendency is concerning.
I wish all the prorussian artists in hetalia "to taste their own medicine". To have nightmares for years. To be scared for your loved ones every single day. To lose hair, weight, and teeth. To not feel safe ANYWHERE. To see your close ones falling into depression and be able to do nothing about it. To lose your home. Your pets. Your plants. Your plans. Your friends. Especially I want this for Hidekaz Himaruya.

I saw some variations of this statement shared around the site recently, always in good intentions of course, but it got me thinking.
Is that really true?
Well it certainly isn't hard in the way some developers would want to make you believe. A great skill bestowed only upon the greatest of minds, they're the ones making the world work. You better be thankful.
That is just elitist gibberish. If anyone ever tells you that programmers are "special people" in that way, or tries to sell you on the idea of "real" programmers that are somehow better than the rest, you can safely walk in the other direction. They have nothing of value to tell you.
But I think the answer is more complicated than a simple "Yes, programming is easy" too. In all honesty, I don't think it's an easy thing to "just pick up" at all. It can be very unintuitive at first to wrap your head around just how to tell a computer to solve certain problems.
One person in the codeblr Discord server likened it to cooking. That's a skill that can be very hard, but it's also something that everyone can learn. Anyone can cook. And anyone can program.
I really mean that. No need to be good at maths, to know what a bit is or whatever it is people told you you need. You're not too old to learn it either, or too young for that matter. If you want to start programming (and you can read this post), you already have everything you need. You can write your first little programs today!
One of the cool things about programming is that you can just fuck around and try lots of stuff, and it's fine. Realistically, the worst thing that can happen is that it doesn't work the way you imagined. But you'll never accidentally trigger the fire alarm or burn your house down, so feel free to just try a bunch of stuff.
"Okay I want to learn programming now, what do I do?"
That's awesome, I love the enthusiasm! As much as I'd love to just give you a resource and tell you to build a thing, you still have to make a choice what you want to learn first. The options I'd recommend are:
Scratch: A visual education tool. The main advantage is that you don't have to worry about the exact words you need to write down, you can just think about the structure of your program. The way it works is that you drag and drop program elements to be executed when they should be. You can relatively quickly learn to make cute little games in it. The downside is that this isn't really a "professional" programming language, so, while learning from Scratch will give you the basics that apply to most languages and will make switching to another language easier, you're still gonna have to switch sooner or later. Start here: https://scratch.mit.edu/
Python: The classic choice. Python is a very widely used, flexible programming language that is suited for beginners. It is what I would recommend if you want to skip right to or move on from Scratch to a more flexible language. https://automatetheboringstuff.com/ is your starting point, but there's also a longer list of resources here if you want to check that out at some point.
HTML/CSS/JavaScript: The web path. HTML and CSS are for creating the look of websites, and JavaScript is for the interactive elements. For example, if you ever played a game in your browser, that was probably written in JS. Since HTML and CSS are just for defining how the website should look, they're different from traditional programming languages, and you won't be able to write programs in them, that's what JS is for. You have to know HTML before you learn CSS, but otherwise the order in which you learn these is up to you. Your JavaScript resource is https://javascript.info/, and for HTML and CSS you can check out https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Getting_started_with_the_web.
I put some starting out resources here, but they're really just that - they're for starting out. You don't have to stick to them. If you find another path that suits you better, or if you want to get sidetracked with another resource or project, go for it! Your path doesn't have to be linear at all, and there's no "correct" way to learn things.
One of the most important things you'll want to do is talk to developers when you struggle. The journey is going to be frustrating at times, so search out beginner-friendly coding communities on Discord or wherever you're comfortable. The codeblr community certainly tends to be beginner-friendly and kind. My DMs and asks are also open on here.

8. Share the last line that you wrote
“There is no sale that justifies buying eighteen boxes of me-shaped cereal.” He took another bite. It was soggy and the orange juice did not mix with the marshmallows, which were rather sawdusty. “Wow. I taste terrible.”
(From the TAU torabendip fic i was writing. and then abandoned jkgddkgjdf again dfkjgdfg i miiight come back and finish it (i added like 18k words in like two weeks and id last worked on it in 2020) but i sort of hate looking at it rn so <3 this bit is really funny tho. i like this line. for context dipper is eating alcor shaped cereal torako bought bc of COURSE you have to buy weird cereal of your demon life partner. this is worth spending the weeks grocery budget on).
18. What trope have you not written yet, but want to?
oooooh. hmmm.
i actually cant think of anything rn....i think ive written most things i want to. in terms of tropes that i can think of. i would love to write another soulmate au but i technically did that w/ one of my deltarune fics already. but i do really enjoy deconstructing soulmate aus i think those societies would be so deeply fucked up.
THIS ISNT THE BEST ANSWER BUT. i forgor <3
27. Which fic do you think is your most adventurous?
hmm....
i feel like theres a few ways i can interpret this so im gonna give a couple of answers. i feel like in the sense of 'going out and doing something i dont usually do' it might be my owl house daemon au bc i write longfic sure but not THAT long and its the first project of that scope (900k+ words) that ive completed and am proud of.
in the sense of the way i told the story, actually the pmmm daemon au...both in regards to the amount of css that went into that beast but also bc i dont feel like i usually write mysteries--but there WAS the huge mystery in that one of wtf is up with homura's daemon!!! that was fun.
#ask#helix my beloved helix#WIN FOR FRIENDSHIP#ill still answer these if anyone wants to send in more!
