Update on my situation:
While driving to work the car stopped working. Just suddenly the gas pedal stopped working in the middle of an icy intersection in 8°F weather. My ex-would-be-father-in-law did his best to keep control of a suddenly uncontrollable vehicle. Oncoming traffic didn't even slow down. I hate the drivers here. But at least no one hit us. I suggested we try backing into a side street and luckily that worked. After restarting the car we tried driving back instead of continuing to work. Thank gawd we didn't chance it cuz a block later it did it again. We managed to get back and we are ok but we were both very shaken up. He joked later joked how people in his life would say it was God's way of telling us we needed to stay put. My ex-would-be-father-in-law told me that that's what's gonna happen. For now at least. I will be staying at least one extra week and we'll figure it out week by week moving forward. It's not the end, but I got a small refrain. He was initially planning to help put me up in a hotel for a few weeks to give me more time, but with what just happened, it won't be this Friday. So I'm staying put for now. This whole mess is so stupid. And completely preventable. I'm too tired to write more. It's been a really weird day.
On the bright side, I got a job interview on Monday. I don't think it's any better than what I have, but it's worth giving it a chance. If nothing else it's easier to get to.

I need us pretending/threatening Emil with a divorce even after saying we wouldn’t 🙏🙏
this is a part 2 to this story
in your villain arc fr. i know if emil knew how you were manipulating him and playing him like a puppet he wouldn't even be mad he'd be like "thats hot wtf"
cw;; drugging, cheating, non-con (implied), abuse, manipulation
Tumblr media
oh your poor husband, he's so pathetic and easy to break.
after your brutal breaking of his body with the cheating scandal you had been oh so generous to help him rebuild his all his lost favour. his ever loving husband who loved him past his worst flaws gave him a better reputation just by staying by his side. all he had to do was give into you, take you places, stop holding you at arms length like he was afraid of you running away and getting close to him at the same time. really all you wanted was more of his love and if that meant you had to break him down to nothing then you guess that's what you would do.
you walked into his office to find him surrounded by people, a familiar sight since his last scandal. you pushed past them to his desk, watching emil flinch away from your presence. you didn't need to yell and get angry this time, you knew exactly how to break him.
"i want a divorce."
you placed the newspaper on the desk to punctuate your sentence, the headline was a young noble woman's testimony of how the king had cornered her at the last royal banquet. another lie you had paid a pretty penny to get out there. you knew emil's head had been fuzzy since the last scandal, all it took was hiring a woman from a family desperate for money to force herself on him and then lie about it. he didn't even remember the night, he couldn't argue with you about it.
you heard his pathetic sob. that sound he would never usually make in front of anyone else. you turned back to see him still surrounded by his advisors and other noblemen but among their shocked faces you could see your husband had tears in his eyes.
"out." you ordered and they very quickly filed out leaving you two in a familiar position.
you walked back to the desk and stared down at him. your husband, already a broken and confused mess, hung his head like a kicked puppy dog so you couldn't see his eyes you could only hear him crying. you let out a heavy sigh.
"what am I supposed to do, emil? you clearly don't love me."
"that's not-"
"how many more women do i have to find out about before you admit it?"
"i don't remember that night... i don't think- i-"
a silence formed between you both only interrupted by his crying.
"i remember that night. i remember you left the party early to get some fresh air and you didn't come back."
he was shaking.
"..... if you had just talked to me we could have come to an agreement about concubines. if you didn't want to be with a man all you had to do was tell me. you don't have to keep humiliating me publicly and then lying about it."
"im not ly-"
you slammed your hands on the table making him flinch.
"you are. you're lying to me. you slept with the maid and then you lied about it and i forgave you. i forgave you because i thought you would learn your lesson."
"please... please punish me again please anything else... kill me, torture me, hate me, anything but leaving me..." he finally looked at you and you could see his pink eyes were cloudy and confused as tears dripped down his face.
".... that's pathetic emil. you want me to beat you but..." you forced your own tears along with your voice cracking. "you can't even say you love me."
emil tried to stand up, stumbling against the desk as his legs wobbled underneath him.
"don't leave me. please." his hand weakly grabbed your wrist
"do you love me?"
"yes."
"how am i supposed to trust that? how am i supposed to trust you? can you even say it? can you tell me you love me?"
"i...i...."
you ripped your hand away from him making him stumble again.
"I'm going to get the divorce papers ready. you're going to sign them."
you turned on your heel and left your husband sobbing in his office.
your plan to make the great emil landorr your mindbroken bitch was going along perfectly. it was going to be harder to drug him when you moved into the queen's palace but you were confident that the separation would drive him just as crazy.

in my opinion, gojo’s storyline has been handled so so poorly i can’t help but think it’s intentional. it is not bad writing to kill a character—even a beloved character. i know most people will dismiss my criticisms because gojo is so beloved to me and so many others. i’ve said before that i don’t mind if he died. does it hurt? of course, and i would still cry and be sad about it. but there is a beautiful way to do it. with respect and honor for his legacy—for what he has done for your manga, the characters in it, and audiences worldwide. but no…gege chose the path of horror and disrespect. at certain points i’d say to myself, well. this is a dark manga. but essentially gojo is the only character that receives this treatment. since the beginning—since suguru left him, he’s been wondering if he mattered because he was a person, or if he only mattered because he was powerful and useable. we certainly fucking answered that question. he is a weapon and nobody ever cared about him at all!!!
and we knew he was being used—he knew he was being used, but he is selfless. so he did it for his kids. for megumi and yuuji and yuuta—he wanted them to be safe. in these flashbacks it’s exceedingly clear that he knew he would die. again—that’s not my issue. gojo dying to sukuna makes plenty of sense and it would hurt to leave it there. but to give us an afterlife scene where he’s presented a choice—north and south—that concept lead nowhere, that’s truly fucked up. to leave all the subtle clues and hints for no reason but to keep people reading and theorizing his return is fucked up. to continue to use his imagery to promote your manga when you know he’s not even honored in your manga is fucked up. we don’t get a funeral or a grave for him. no one’s spoken about him in chapters despite him fighting for hours against sukuna and damaging him so much that yuuji could win, nothing. yuuta wearing him like a costume and no one is horrified about it. i thought his students WERE different. they weren’t jujutsu society yet. that’s why gojo was their teacher—shaping them into better human beings. how am i supposed to trust in their future when it seems they’re just as cold and heartless as everyone before them? no one has honored gojo in any way since the moment he died. and they’ve forgotten about him. he spent his entire life fighting and no one can even say thank you. gege intentionally used gojo to promote the end of his manga because he knows that gojo fans make up at least half of his fanbase so had we stopped reading when he died, he would have lost a lot of traction. he baited us intentionally, cruelly, and something that transcends storytelling. i’ve truly never seen a mangaka have this sort of vitriol for one of their characters and the people that love him.
we spent the entire last chapter talking about some random fucking mission when we have several unanswered questions and concerns. i thought gege said he wanted this ending to be shocking and something you didn’t see in shonen? tying everything up neatly where no one has any trauma or grief for what they’ve experienced, everyone comes back to life except the one character you hate specifically and choso, defying your own power structures and having everyone laughing into the sunset is exactly how shonen ends so what in the fuck is he talking about??
let me disclaim, this is not megumi hate at all. i love him very much and i am so happy he’s back with the group but like. he shouldn’t be able to even walk. he tanked unlimited void for over 6 minutes whenever that length caused irreversible damage to sukuna himself. not to mention the countless black flashes. so what the fuck? he doesn’t mention gojo at all?? the first time he laughs in this manga is after he reads a note written by his dead fucking caretaker about his dead fucking father? like i don’t believe. random open ended kenjaku/suguru mention just to piss me off, an absolutely no mention of gojos sacrifice or how they’ll miss him. i’m sick to my stomach. gege defiled his memory both in the story and outside of it. wow.
P.S. SUKUNA CARED MORE ABOUT GOJO THAN ANYONE ELSE (SUGURU IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS I MEAN HIS STUDENTS AND SOCIETY)

Spencer x afab!reader
Summary: Spencer accidentally eats a special brownie and gets baked for the first time, making him reveal some things.
Cw: drug use (devils lettuce), fluff, use of y/n
A/n: cooked this up at 3 am while watching that scene in the perks of being a wallflower where charlie gets high and thought high spencer would be hilarious 😭
Also this is not proof read, so if u see any spelling mistakes, no you didn't 😇

"Do I really have to go to this thing?" Spencer asked Derek from his seat beside me.
Derek had gotten an invite to a house party by some of his friends and had insisted on us coming along with him. Emily and I were pretty quick to accept the invitation, but it took a lot of convincing to get boy wonder to agree to join us. He only agreed after I promised to lend him my copy The Undertaker in the original Russian print.
"Yes, you do." Morgan answered with a breathy chuckle. Spencer sighed and sunk lower in his seat. I sort of felt bad now for pushing him to come, especially since I know he's uncomfortable with things like this. But that's also exactly why I pushed him, to get him out of his comfort zone a bit and have the chance to talk with people in a low stress environment. Derek had said the party wasn't supposed to be to big, just a few friends. Which of whom were all going to be intoxicated, therefore easier to talk to since drunk people tend to be less judgmental than sober people.
"Don't worry, spence. It'll be fun." I gave him a reassuring smile. He let out another sigh that let me know he didn't really believe me.
"Yeah, Reid. It'll be fun." Emily reiterated from the front seat. I didn't plan on leaving Spencer to fend for himself at this party of course. I planned on staying by his side until I was sure he was going to be fine, but I realized that might be a bit harder than I thought as we pulled up to the house. It was crowded with cars and some people hanging out on the front lawn. As we stepped out, we could hear the music coming from inside.
"This is definitely more than 'a few friends', Morgan." Spencer fidgeted with his hands nervous. Derek patted his back before clapping his shoulder and shaking him slightly.
"You'll be just fine, pretty boy." He said before him and Emily walked off and into the house. Spencer's anxiety was very apparent as he cracked and played with his fingers.
"We can leave if you really want to." I offered once I realized something like this might be way to out of his comfort zone. He took a deep breath and shook his head.
"No, no, it's fine."
"Are you sure?" I asked again just to make sure he was ok with this. He nodded his head yes so I linked my arm with his as I lead him into the party.
From the amount of cars parked outside of course I expected there to be way more people than previously anticipated, but I definitely didn't expect this many people. I held onto spencer's arm a bit tighter as we walk through the sea of people. I saw some people head down to where I assumed the basement was and lead spencer down the stairs. It was calmer down there, less people and softer music. So I thought this would be a better environment for spencer, who was currently as stiff as a board. I unlinked my arm from his to give him some space. I spotted the vacant couch and gestured for him to follow me as he went on about how Morgan was a liar.
"'Just a few people' he said. He promised just a few people! This is what I get for trusting him. He's always trying to get me to go to parties with him, of course it wasn't gonna be 'just a few people.'" His rant continued as we walked.
"Yes, yes, Derek is a liar and I'll put salt in his coffee tomorrow. But for now, just try to have a bit of fun tonight, ok?" I sat down on the couch, making myself comfortable. He sighed heavily and nodded.
"Ok, I'll try." He sat down, awkwardly positioned on the edge with his hands on his knees. It was obvious he felt uncomfortable sitting on a strange couch with God knows what on it. There was an ottoman beside the coffee table that looked like it opened up, so I opened it in hope to find something for spencer to sit on. Sure enough there was a thin blanket that looked clean.
"Here, up." I ordered him to stand and he did without a word. Cute.
I draped the blanket over the couch and gestured for spencer to sit back down. He smiled me gratefully as he sat back down, now looking much more comfortable.
"Thank you." I waved my hand dismissively, I mean it's the least I could do for making him come here. Some people filed back upstairs, so I saw an opportunity a drink from upstairs while it was basically empty down here.
"Will you be ok if I go get a drink?" He looked up at me with his gorgeous brown eyes, which made me want to just sit back down and forget about the drink.
"Yes, I'll be fine." He gave me a tight liped smile. I was reluctant to leave him, but I walked off regardless.
~~~
I felt awkward sitting all alone. After y/n left, I just started fiddling with my hands and looking around. I wish I had told y/n to stay. She was the only reason I had came and now without her here, i felt out of place.
I hear a group of people come down the stairs, their loud laughing filling the room. I get insanely anxious when I realize their voices getting closer to me.
"Hey man, mind if we sit here with you?" One of the guys ask. Of course I couldn't say no. Well technically I could, but I don't know how without coming across rude.
"Uh, yeah, sure." I slide over to the very end of the couch as 2 of them sat down and the others sat on the floor or stood. They continued their loud conversation and I wondered if I should just leave.
"Whatever, star wars and star trek are basically the same thing." One girl said from the floor. I suddenly thought back to earlier and the promise i made to y/n to try and have fun. So I interjected before I could over think it.
"Actually, Star Trek is more based on probable science as basis for it's plot while star wars is more sci-fantasy more focused on how people react to their surroundings, instead of how the surroundings are possible." I regretted opening my mouth immediately. They stared at me, surprised I had spoken to them.
"Thank you!" The guy sitting beside me shouted. "See! I told you!" He pointed at the girl who was speaking earlier. She simply rolled her eyes at him and he turned his head to me.
"Continue telling her how wrong she is." They all looked at me, waiting for me to continue my informational rant. Which I happily did. As I talked more about the differences and similarities between the 2 worlds, one of the guys, who I hadn't noticed had left, approached us with a plate of brownies. He held them out to the group and they all excitedly reached for them.
"You want one to?" He offered and held the plate out further so I could reach it. Of course I wasn't going to pass up a free treat, so I took one without giving it much thought.
"Thank you." I chewed on the browine as I carried on with what I was saying before being interrupted. This night is turning out to be fun after all. I do wish y/n was her though.
"Can I have another one please?"
~~~
Upstairs felt like a nostalgia trip back to high school. A room flooded with drunk people and people groping each other. It took some time to navigate my way through everyone and it took even longer finding the kitchen. But I eventually found my way. I was delighted seeing the familiar face of Derek Morgan as I entered.
"Well if it isn't the liar." He looked up from pouring his drink. He smiled at me and laughed.
"How's boy genius doing?" He asked as he took a sip of whatever drink he mixed together.
"I think he might climb out a window and run home any second now." I grabbed 2 empty solo cups, filling one up with water and the other with vodka and cranberry juice. Derek laughed.
"Ah I think he has a compelling reason to stay." He winked at me and I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks. I regret telling him about my crush on spencer. I told him to shut up, which just make him chuckle.
We talked for a few minutes about how Emily had almost immediately found a girl to flirt with and has been with her all night. And almost as if on cue, she walked in. We all teased her about her party crush for a few minutes, until the teasing turn onto me. I also regretted telling Emily about my crush.
I hadn't realized how much time had passed till Emily mentioned something about spencer being left alone for so long. A whole 30 minutes had passed since I had come upstairs and I immediately felt bad for ditching spencer for so long without a word. I quickly grabbed the 2 cups and bid them goodbye before hurrying off.
Getting through all the people took longer than before since I had to be extra careful as to not spill anything. I felt relieved when I finally reached the stairs to the basement. I was worried that spencer had been just sitting there for the past half an hour in silence. But my worries were quickly squandered as I saw him talking with a group of people who looked to be about our age. He had changed spots, now sitting criss-cross on the coffee table while all the other's surrounded him like it was story time.
"And I don't understand why leia kissed luke if she literally said in return of the jedi that she always knew he was her brother." Spencer babbled on as the people around hilm laughed loudly.
"Hey, spence." I saw his eye's light up when he saw me and he smiled wide.
"Y/n!" He threw his hands up, which caused him to almost fall backwards. He caught himself just in time and giggled a bit. It wasn't until I got closer to him that I noticed how red his eyes were. That, mixed with his odd behavior, it was clear he was not sober.
"Are you stoned?" I tried my best to contain my laughter, but it was funny watching him rock back and forth looking like he was really thinking about the question i just asked.
"Yes. No. I only had 2 brownies." He counted 2 on his fingers and held them up to me. The people he was talking to all started laughing and spencer joined in with them, probably not registering they were laughing at him.
"Ok, wanna come with me to a quiet place away from these people?" I leaned in closer to him, careful not to let the others hear. He doesn't say anything right away, just looks at me with an expression i couldn't place, but one that made my stomach flutter.
"Yes, please." He whispers back and stands up quickly. He sways back and forth for a moment before steady himself.
"We're gonna go somewhere else." Spencer tells the group and they all start booing in protest and all shouting disappointed "no's". Spencer seemed unbothered by them, but does say a quick apology regardless. I gestured for him to follow me as I stared walking away. He waved them goodbye before hurrying after me.
I lead him down a dimly lit hallway and into an unlocked room, which thankfully had no one in it. It appeared to be a guest room that was pretty empty, besides a queen bed, a night stand with a lamp and a rug.
"Those people were nice. They knew nothing about star trek though." Spencer sat down on the rug, returning to his criss-cross position.
"You do know there's a bed right there." I laughed, pointing to the bed that was right behind him. He shrugged.
"The rug looked softer." He said as he felt the rug. I took a seat next to him, putting the drinks off to the side. He looked completely out of it, like he was on a different planet.
"How are you feeling?" I asked and leaned back against the bed.
"Weird."
"I assume you've never been stoned before?" He shakes his head.
"I've read about the effects of marijuana, euphoria, altered perception, impaired memory and cognition. But It's so much different actually experiencing it first hand. It feels weird. I also probably shouldn't have ate 2 of those brownies. Brownies sound really good right now. Oh! Another effect of marijuana is increased appetite, or the "munchies" as they call it." He smacked his lips together, then licks them.
"My mouth is really dry." I couldn't help but laugh. This is definitely not how i expected this night to go. He turns to me as I laugh with a painfully cute expression that made my stomach flip. I reached for the cup of water i had gotten for him earlier and handed it to him.
"Here." I chuckled and he took it quickly. He didn't even look to see what was in the cup before downing the whole thing. Once he had finished, he whipped his mouth and put the cup down.
"Thank you. Your so kind." He turned to me and smiled gratefully. He looked absolutely beautiful in that moment. His hair was slightly messy, his eyes were glossed over and dreamy looking, his smile was simply adorable and the light was hitting him just right. His compliment made me blush and I turned away from his gaze. I felt him continue to stare at me.
"I'm sorry you're stuck taking care of me. I know you probably wanted to have fun tonight." His face had dropped and he sighed.
"It's ok, spence. I am having fun." I reassured him. Witnessing his first experience being high was admittedly very entertaining. He sighed again. He just looked at me in silence for a few moments, making me nervous.
"You're so amazing." He blurts out suddenly. His words took me by surprise and I felt my face heat up, probably now a light shade of pink.
"You're so pretty too. And caring, and smart, and funny, and pretty." His tone was light and distant, like he wasn't aware he wad saying all this out loud. That made me snap back to reality and remember that he was high. I felt a wave of disappointment hit me when I realized he was probably just saying all this stuff because he was stoned, not because he meant it.
"Ok, spence." I said dismissively and laughed a bit to hide my disappointment.
"I think you're the most amazing person I've ever met. I mean, there's a party happening right now and you choose to stay with me. You're always doing that, taking care of me. I think that's why I love you so much." The last part really caught my attention, my disappointment quickly dissipating and being replaced with shock.
Did he really just say that? I know I shouldn't take anything he says right now seriously, but admitting that he loves me seems pretty serious. I take a few seconds just to process what he had just said. I was sure he didn't mean it like that, I'm sure he meant as just a friend. But that didn't stop my heart from fluttering.
"What?" I finally said with a uncontrollable smile on my face. He turned to me, confused.
"What?"
"You just said you love me." His eyes widened and he shot up straight.
"What?!" He looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. He groaned, putting his head in his hands and shaking his head.
"Spence, it's ok. I know you didn't mean it like that." He sighed. He said something, but it was muffled by his hands.
"I can't hear you." He sighed again and lifed his head up so i could hear him clearer.
"I did mean it like that." He said, his voice quite and low. I couldn't believe what i had heard, so I just stared at him in shock for a moment. He glanced over to me when I didn't say anything for to long, groaning when he saw my shocked expression.
"Ugh, this is not how I wanted to tell you." He put his head back in his hands and slouched forward.
"I know you don't feel the same and we're just friends. I'm so sorry, y/n. You can forget I ever said that, i don't want it to be awkward or uncomfortable for you. I just-"
"Who said I didn't feel the same?" I cut him off before he got to in his head. He turned his head so face that I thought he'd get whipe lash, his red eyes wide in surprise.
"Wait, what?" The look on his face made me giggle.
"You're smart and funny and kind and you're insanely cute, you understand me in a way no one ever has. You're so passionate about your work and helping people. You're the most incredible, extraordinary person I've ever known. How could I not love you?" I felt a huge weight lift off my chest as I tell him everything I've wanted to say to him for so long. He just stares at me wide eyed, his mouth opening like he was about to say something, but then closing it again.
"I- what- wait- huh?" He stammered, making me laugh.
"I'm sorry, it must be the drugs or my own wishful thinking. But did you just say what I think you said?" A piece of hair fell onto his face, so I tucked it behid his ear. His face turned red and his mouth hung agape slightly.
"Maybe we should talk about this when you're sober."
"No, I want to talk about it now." He scooted closer to me. I was almost certain this is not how he wanted this conversation to go, him stoned out of his mind and in some random room in a random house. Of course I wanted to say it again, to tell him I love him and that I've loved him for years. But I'd rather tell him that when he can process more than 1/2 things at once.
"Later, when you're not baked like a cake." He laughed like it was the funniest joke he'd ever heard.
"'Baked like a cake'" He repeated after his laughter died down to a frequent giggle. His face suddenly turned more serious and he looked me right in the eye.
"Cake sounds so good right now." His face was so serious, like he had to have cake at that very moment or someone would kill his whole family. The intensity on his face was enough to make me burst into laughter. I had to look away from him to compose myself, so I didn't see him go to lay down. I felt his head rest on my thighs, the sudden contact taking me by surprise. I look down to see him turned away from me with his eye's closed.
After my initial shock disappeared, I hesitantly ran my fingers through his hair. He sighed in content and placed his hand on my knee. I smiled to myself as I continued to play with his hair.
"I'm tired." He mumbled. As if almost on cue, i felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I took it out to reveal a text from Derek. I chuckled as I read it over.
"Well you're in luck because Emily puked on a girl and now we're leaving." I tried to get up, but his head remained on my lap.
"Come on, spence. You gotta get up." He groaned in protest and gripped my leg to keep me in place.
"Don't wanna."
"Spencer." I said softly. I didn't want to move either, but unless we wanted to take a taxi home, we had to get up. He sighed before pushing himself up, his hair a complete mess. I reached over to fix it for him, combing his hair with my fingers. He looked at me like I was an angel on earth, his eyes fixed on me. Though the urge to pull him in right then was strong, but I had to get him home.
"Come on." I stood, reaching my hand out to help him up. I interlocked his hand with mine once he had stood up. I lead him out the door, back out to the basement, upstairs and through the crowd to the front yard where Derek was waiting for us.
"Hey, love birds." He smirked when he caught sight of our interlocked hands.
"Hi, Morgan. Do you have any snacks in your car?" Spencer asked. Morgan looked at him funny and smiled wide when he saw his red eyes.
"Are you baked?" Spencer giggled to himself before responding.
"Like a cake." He started laughing and Derek looked at me for answers.
"I'll tell you later." Derek nodded and walked over to his car, me and spencer following behind. Emily was already in the front seat, passed out. I felt bad for how she was going to feel in the morning.
The ride home was quiet, besides the occasional snore coming from Emily. I turned to Spencer to see him fighting off sleep, his eyes just slivers and struggling to keep his head up. I squeeze his hand to get his attention. He turned to me with tired eyes and I gestured for him to lean his head on my shoulder. He whispered a "thank you" before resting his head on my shoulder. We stayed that way till we reached Spencer's apartment complex.
I shook him slightly as we parked outside his building. His eyes opened slightly and he removed his head from my shoulder.
"Come on, I'll walk you inside." He gave me a tired smile. I escorted him out the car and into his building.
He talked about the book he was reading on the way up to his apartment, he barely making any sense as he did so. Once we reached his door he got quiet.
"You really meant it right?" He asked and I looked at him confused.
"Meant what?"
"What you said earlier." I smiled once I realized what he was talking about.
"Of course I meant it."
"Good. I meant it to." He smiled sweetly. I would've never imagined that spencer would like me back, or that I'd find out this way. But I'm happy regardless. I'm so happy. Spencer Reid, my best friend, loves me.
I cupped his cheek and leaned in to kiss his cheek. He looked at me wide eyed when I pulled away.
"Goodnight, spence."
"G'night." He muttered, his surprise still evident. I waved him goodbye before heading back down to the car.
The ride back to my place consisted of telling Morgan how spencer had managed to get high on accident and him telling me how Emily drank way to much, resulting in her throwing up all over the girl she'd been flirting with. I left out the love confession part to avoid any further torment that spencer would definitely have to endure from him at work.
As he talked about what had happened while me and spencer where in the basement, I thought about everything that had happened. My smile grew more and more as I replayed the events of tonight. Just then, I felt my phone buzz. My smile growing impossibly wide when I read the text on the screen.
*ate everything in my fridge. I love you.*
I laughed before typing my response.
*I love you too.*

"Just trust me, sweetheart."
“That's not an answer," you tell him archly.
He tilts his head back to look up at you. "Have I ever steered you wrong?"
"No...I'm just a bit nervous,” you admit.
He gazes steadily at you, and the way he rubs his hands up and down your thighs is both soothing and reassuring. "Well, you know what I like to say....you don't face your fears, you ride them."
You stare down at him, unamused. He grins back at you.
"Come on little lady, belly up to the bar," he encourages, cupping your ass and yanking you forward until the most intimate part of you is only inches away from his face.
Embarrassment burns under your skin, and you fight the urge to shift away. This close, Tyler's bound to see every little imperfection, and it’s made worse by the fact that he’s practically perfect himself. Sometimes just looking at him could overwhelm you, not to mention what happened when he took his shirt off.
"Come on," he encourages softly.
Hesitantly, you lower yourself over him until he can nose at your folds. You grip the headboard and shift experimentally, inhaling sharply when Tyler drags the flat of his tongue through your center. Your thighs tense and he does it again, letting out a low, satisfied little hum that has you clenching around nothing.
For a few minutes, Tyler seems content just to taste and tease you with soft, sweeping motions.  Slowly, you feel yourself begin to relax, some of the tension leaving your thighs. When you settle more firmly against him, he groans in response, his fingers flexing against your skin. You close your eyes and rock your hips forward, the world narrowing to the feel of his tongue in your cunt and his nose brushing against your clit.
"Tyler," you moan.
He groans in response, fingertips digging into your skin as his tongue spears into you. The messy way he eats you out is so loud that you’d be embarrassed if it weren’t for how good it makes you feel. Gone is any hesitation on your part as you ride his face in earnest. You grasp his hair and pull, desperate to have him even closer.
The beginning of your orgasm sparks to life in your belly, the rough drag of his tongue over your clit fanning the embers. Your hips move of their own accord, your body chasing what it needs. When your orgasm washes over you Tyler doesn’t stop, holding you still as he drinks greedily from your cunt. By the time he’s done with you, your thighs are trembling, and your breath comes in quick, uneven gasps.
“Oh my god.”
“It’s Tyler,” he reminds you with a smirk. You watch him wipe his mouth with the back of his hand, his chest heaving as he catches his breath. He’s flush and his hair is tousled from your grip. But above all, he looks satisfied.
“That was good, sweetheart. Real good.”
All you can manage is a thumbs up in response, your head hanging forward. “So,” you begin, “are you going to tell me now what that had to do with bull riding.”
“Not a goddamn thing,” he says with the biggest grin you’ve seen.
Send me a request

i have a vision i need you guys to see.
2000s!arle who's looking to get some sleeve fillers. her bandmate, tartaglia, recommends her to try this new shop. he told her the artist is "insanely talented," so she figures, why not?
(longer post/nsfw utc - tw smaller reader, transfem arle mentions)
when she walks in, she sees you sitting on the counter, legs swinging as you greet her.
"hey, welcome in. what can i help you with?" she watches you hop down off the counter, now having to look down at you given your shorter stature.
you don't look like you have many tattoos at all, funny enough. doesn't look like you really belong in a place like this, but she thinks you're a pretty cute counter-girl.
"i'm looking to get some sleeve fillers, sweetheart." she leans down over you, a hand on the wall by your head.
"go figure." you snort and she's a little taken aback.
"you're a little fiesty thing, huh?" she asks and you tilt your head. she cuts you off, waving her hand. "anyways, i'm thinking of adding onto my sleeve." she rolls up her shirt, flexing her bicep for you.
"do you have anything specific you want?"
"i have some ideas." she shrugs, leaning back to her full height with a smug little grin. "so, there an artist back there?" she gestures to the back of the shop.
"actually-"
once again, she cuts you off. "my friend said-" she takes her phone out, flipping the lid open and showing tartaglia's message with the artist's name on it. "she works here. you know her?"
you blink at the phone being shoved in your face, but you laugh anyway. "oh, really? you're looking for her?"
"yeah, what about it? is she shitty or something?" she doesn't seem to notice your half-annoyed eyeroll.
"nothing. i'll go set you up in the room." you tug her along, grabbing the consent forms and other things she'll need to fill out. "here, fill these out." you sit her in the chair, handing her the clipboard.
"aw, won't you stay with me? i get nervous when the ink comes out." she sends you an almost sleazy grin.
"oh, i'd love to, but i can't." you feign a pout. "gotta go get the artist." you grin and escape the room quickly, leaving her to her own devices.
she fills the papers out easily, having done so before many times.
she hears the door click, seeing a taller woman covered in tattoos walking in and setting up. she collects the paperwork from arlecchino, checking through it.
"cool, the artist will be in shortly."
arlecchino tilts her head. "it's not you?"
the woman arched an eyebrow, shrugging, closing the door again and leaving arlecchino in silence.
she looks around the room, hearing the door click open after a few minutes. "finally-" she turns around to see-
you?
she stiffens in the chair. "you're joking, right?" she asks with a laugh.
"what's the problem?" you scoff, sitting down on the chair next to the tattoo bed. "you don't trust me?"
"you don't have a speck of ink anywhere on you. how exactly am i supposed to trust you?"
"your friend seemed to think i was 'insanely talented,' right? do you trust him?" you counter and she bites the inside of her cheek.
she stays quiet while you set up, showing her some of your designs, which she picks from to fill in her sleeve.
she sits still the entire time, feeling your gloved hand on her skin. you look small next to her, cute, she thinks, and-
"stop staring at me." you cut her thoughts off without even looking away from her arm.
"can't help it, sweetheart." she quickly covers and you sigh. she grins mischievously up at you.
you set your gun down, grabbing her jaw and tugging her up to meet your gaze. "don't call me that. watch your mouth." you suddenly snap, your cute little aura gone, replaced by something darker.
it only makes her breath hitch, feeling your fingers on her jaw. "oh, little kitty has claws." she taunts and you scoff, leaning in.
your lips graze the shell of her ear and she shivers. "don't talk to me that way, or i swear, i'll have you on your fucking knees begging me for forgiveness." you mutter.
she isn't sure if it's a real threat, but the change in your tone is enough to have her nodding regardless. her mind is filled with thoughts of you, riding her, a hand on her throat as you control the pace.
you see her hardening beneath her jeans and you arch an eyebrow. "you're pretty pathetic for a flirt." you snap.
and she swears she could cum right then and there from just your gaze.
too bad you go right back to tattooing with everything re-sterilized.
damn.

"How do you do it, gambler?"
Aventurine glanced up from the drink in his hand, an identical one clutched tightly in Dr. Ratio's.
"Do what?"
"Maintain a relationship."
Aventurine blinked, before his head shot up again to look at the doctor. Veritas didn't even spare him a glance, eyes glued to the scene in front of them— a grand IPC ball, held for investors and connections to be made. It was always a busy and grand event, one the Intellegensia Guild had to attend to maintain the IPC's investment.
It really wasn't Dr. Ratio's scene, but he had been chosen as their representative anyway.
"I'm not particularly adept at that, my dear doctor." Aventurine chuckled, watching the alcohol swirl in his glass.
"You are far more able then I am. Even upon falsities and fake promises, you managed to chat and converse with people in a sort of ease," Ratio slowly tore his eyes away from the crowd, glancing back to Aventurine before his eyes dropped to the floor in front of him. "..Its admirable."
Aventurine could just barely process what Dr. Ratio was exactly saying— direct praise?? From the good doctor himself???— before Veritas set down his now-empty drink on a bypassing waiters tray.
"Do you ever feel.. second-rate?"
Aventurine paused, taking another languid drink as he contemplated. It wasn't often the dear doctor opened up— he should tread carefully.
"I can't say for sure. Why?" He kept his tone even, trying not to distract from Veritas' thoughts. It was hard enough to get to know him in the first place, to squander his trust like this would be a waste.
The Doctor took a deep breath, practically hiding himself in the shadows of one of the many grand pillars decorating the room.
"I am not adept at conversation."
Aventurine could agree with that. Something about the doctor made it difficult to respond in kind— he was dry, a vague bit brutish, and if Aventurine dared, a little bullheaded. He seemed so sure of himself, founded confidence that was backed up by his many achievements. It was a little intimidating for the average person, he supposed. But as he looked on, that sort of Dr. Ratio seemed to fade ever so slightly, leaving behind someone who was still sure in his knowledge and discoveries— but struggled nonetheless.
"I find people.. grating, sometimes. But connection is one of the few necessities of livelihood, and so I try to converse with my peers as often as possible. It is.. difficult. It often feels as if they have no interest in what I am saying, neither asking questions nor inquiring further, and when I try to do so to show interest in their research, they often retreat back, saying it is not finished or the such. Offering to help only ever seems to drive them further away." Taking out the laurel clip in his hair, Veritas' thumb drifted over the gilded leaves, the polish in the finish reflecting his face back at him. "Despite my best efforts, I rarely ever follow up because I fear I intimidate them. I have seen them recoil at the mere sight of me."
Aventurine could just watch on in surprise— Veritas had never shown an inkling of this before. When he had first gotten to know the doctor, he had assumed Veritas simply didn't work with his peers due to a difference in dedication, or perhaps view. He was among the brightest and best in the Intellegensia Guild, always praised behind his back for being one of their stars.
Perhaps that wasn't the front Veritas had put up at all. Perhaps it was what Veritas was forced to wear in the face of his peers, forced to be seen as the cold unobtainable, the pinnacle of what they should be.
Being on a pedestal like that, it must be lonely.
"Do you not go drinking with your coworkers or something?" Aventurine leaned against the wall, cold of the stone seeping through his suit. Veritas glanced up at him, before looking back down.
"..I was never invited. It is against social convention to come along if you aren't invited, isn't it? I'd rather not strain and worry them more. It could impact them negatively if I were to come along and invite stress to what is supposed to be a time they unwind." He turned the laurel over in his hand. "..perhaps I missed my opportunity."
The light of the pedestal Dr. Ratio sat on seemed to blind all those who looked at it from underneath. They couldn't see his face, only his back— but as Aventurine leaned against the wall, gazing at the doctor in front of him, he got that different perspective.
There was.. resignation, in his eyes.
"Perhaps I am just doomed to be a looming figure above many. And yet, I'll still never be enough." His voice tapered off slightly, head dropping even just that hint bit more. "I am fully aware how much others are compared to me, and I hear them speak of my achievements behind my back. I wish they would stop, if I am being honest. Or at least tell me of my praise directly."
That surprised Aventurine.
"What, do people not give you a compliment or two? For someone so easy on the eyes and as esteemed as you, doctor, I find that hard to believe!" He chuckled— but it quickly faded out as Veritas looked to the side.
"Not often do I get comments directly on my achievements, no. Nor on my appearance, before you came along." He sighed. "You are.. the only person who does so."
The only one who's tried.

Soo umm maybe angsty request but a reader who works at the agency but misses her old life? Like, family or her old self. If you wanna and like the idea!! Have fun💕
i know this is a thousand yrs late and i am so sorry abt that but also. thank you for trusting me w this request i rlly took it to heart and i cracked these damn knuckles and hopefully wrote something you'll like :') i had fun, angel. MWAH.
- a little something about emotions and Dazai's way of perceiving yours ~
Tumblr media
"Aughhh..."
You're groaning at your desk again, face down and resting your forehead on the cold wooden surface. Lately, it's been the same cycle. You come to work and the day goes by in a blink of an eye, and suddenly... There is nothing else to look forward to but to do it all again tomorrow. It's been tough, with the agency constantly bombarded with cases and quite literally saving the world, you've forgotten to call home every week like you used to. Now it's every other month, if at all.
There are times when you go on your lunch break and think about how ordinary your life used to be, how you used to spend your time doing the opposite of what you do now. Joining the agency was a wonderful turning point in your life and you wouldn't trade it for the world, but sometimes it felt like there was too much happening, you were falling behind and not connecting enough with the foundations that made you, you. It was an overstimulating nightmare.
Your co-workers were so talented and caring and it felt like a family with the way you all worked as a unit and watched out for each other, yet the intrusive thoughts about you never quite fitting in wouldn't leave your mind. Or your face, for that matter.
This is where Dazai knew he had to get involved.
He could tell your mind was elsewhere, and he hated that. You were supposed to be wherever he was, even if you didn't fully know it yet. He constantly perceived you from across the office where he slacked off work as usual, but this time it wasn't to await his next grand revelation... It was to figure out why you seemed so distant. So far, yet so close. You always laughed at his jokes and antics, all a part of his attention seeking persona around the agency, but he could hear the way your laugh seemed to die down in your throat as if it burned to even make a sound. He recognized it as the kind of burn whiskey left behind in his own throat when he had his occasional drinks at Lupin after a particularly hard day. Dazai knew the feeling of ruminating, of feeling stuck in the past and how it could keep you from existing in the present if not dealt with properly. But he wasn't exactly the shining example of dealing with one's feelings, not when he was a walking contradiction, which is why he hesitated to bring this up to you directly.
Of course, that didn't stop him from trying, not when you're groaning so adorably within earshot.
Not when he would do anything for you to drop that fastidious attitude that won't give him the proper time of day. It was pathetic and selfish of him, but it was sincere. With a fixed smile like a Cheshire cat, he prances towards your desk and stands there for a solid minute before you realize the familiar entity looming over you.
You slowly look up, dark under eyes are the first to properly greet him, along with that cute clip in your hair that's barely holding it all together. He thinks you look even cuter this way even if you were at your worst, and that made him feel a tad guilty... just a tad. He clears his throat softly as a deceptively cheerful voice pours out of him.
"Hi! You're looking awfully exhausted today."
You hum, a weak smile adorning your lips. You didn't want to smile at all, but it was a force of habit, so why not use it on the biggest clown you knew?
"Yeah? That's real observant of you, Dazai."
His heart races as you poke back, what a precious creature you were. He responds with faux indignance, rolling his eyes and the whole bit.
"Uh yeah, of course! It's why they pay me the big bucks, silly. You should try being like me sometime."
"Ah, is that the only thing I should try being? Not very original of me, I must say."
His smile drops to a more sly smirk as he shrugs, sighing dramatically while casting his gaze elsewhere for a moment.
You should try to be mine, he thinks to himself.
He doesn't deserve that honor, but it's the truth and he can always count on delusion.
"Eh, who cares about originality? That's what writers use as an excuse to torture themselves. It's no fun, You might as well jump off a bridge with me instead."
You raise an eyebrow at that, your fake smile becoming a bit more genuine now.
"I think I'll pass on that, Dazai."
He pouts, and you hate that he resembles a puppy with the way his eyes comically droop.
"Such a shame. I was hoping we could share that experience together. It would be quite the work bonding exercise, don't you think?~"
You nod, your voice laced with what he hopes is a playful retort, but it is much too deadpan.
"I'm sure it would."
"You know, you're surprisingly hard to torment."
You hum once more, shrugging as you look back down at the files on your desk, unable to hold his dark eyes that seem to penetrate your very soul.
"... Well I suppose I could say the same about you."
Before you know it, you feel his warm breath against your cheek, having leaned down to your level to murmur in your ear. It's velvety and far too intimate for the middle of the workday, tempting like the devil himself.
"Like I said, we could always drown our sorrows in the river. That always helps."
You slowly turn your head to meet his gaze, a slight flush begins to burn your cheeks and you wish you hadn't turned at all. It's sick the way every once in a while he'll test your boundaries to see if you'll let him in, if you'll see past the charm and the self destructive tendencies that might just seal his fate one day.
But you need him right now! And you clearly need a bit more of a push rather than just jokes, so he makes a point to grill you until you have no choice but to run into his hypothetical arms. In that instant, he catches your phone light up, the word 'MOM' is as clear as the red that spreads through your face.
Ah, so that's it.
"Seems like you should take that."
Your eyes widen as you flicker between him and your phone. Shit.
"Maybe later. I'm not really in the headspace for a call right now... Might go out for some lunch and get some air."
"I like air. Perhaps we can get some together? You might have too much and need someone to resuscitate you."
You snort softly and immediately feel embarrassed for being so casual out of your own human weakness. Yet somehow Dazai's ridiculous jokes always manage to get you to play along and forget that very embarrassment.
"CPR involves air, Dazai. You'd kill me in the process."
He clutches his chest, letting out a dreamy breath.
"Ahhh. Romantic, don't you think? I'd follow you immediately, of course~"
You shake your head as you stand up to walk out for your much needed reprieve from the inescapable thoughts you can't shake.
"You're impossible."
He stands back to give you your space and sticks his hands into his coat pockets, beginning to follow right behind you. He taps your shoulder when your back is fully turned to him, clearing his throat as he says your name in the most sinful way.
"Ahem. You forgot your phone."
You freeze in your tracks. You want to so badly do what your mind is screaming to do, but you can't bring yourself to do it. The battle between wanting to grab that bit of normalcy you miss and wanting to avoid it like the plague is the fear of the commitment to acknowledge it. You slowly turn to face him holding out your phone for you and yet again... It stings when he looks at you like that. Like he actually cares. It makes you feel drunk on the sensation of being seen on a deeper level, the butterflies in your stomach keep saying so. You sigh, and mumble back.
"Leave it. I don't need it right now."
He steps a little closer, way too close for comfort. His voice drops to a more serious tone, yet it's nothing but gentle, firm. It's a Dazai you don't think you've ever heard except when on a mission. Even then it always felt performative. But not now. He takes your hand in his bandaged one and holds it out for a moment with your palm facing up. His desire for you to make amends with your troubles is far more important than proper customs, so he needs to do this and do it now before you drown any deeper and he loses his self control.
He can save you even if you're too stuck in your own self pity to see the brightness of your own future. How you shine like a diamond in the rough, if only you'd just let yourself live in the now. He whispers to you.
"I think she'd like to know how you're doing. Family, they're the only normalcy you can have sometimes... Especially in this line of work. I think you know that."
You gaze into his dark eyes, and for the first time are not afraid to hold eye contact as you realize you actually want to hear more. Finally, a real piece of him is being shown to you?
"... Is that something you relate to, Dazai?"
He almost winces at that, a flashback of two friends he once considered family flash into his mind. Maybe today is a Lupin day. He could imitate your angelic laughter as the whiskey burns his throat. He hides all of this with a nasty little smirk, elusive as ever as he lies through his teeth.
"Absolutely not."
You seem a bit disappointed at first, but before you can dwell on it too much, your thoughts flicker back to the phone call you realize it might be time to make. Your mood is instantly different. Hopeful, even. Dazai places your phone in your palm, slowly closing your hand into a small fist. His hand lingers on top of your knuckles for a second too long, and you realize you are, in fact, unable to keep looking him in the eye like this or else you might just collapse knowing he'd catch you. The concept alone is intoxicating.
"I'm gonna take this, okay?"
His smirk softens, almost boyish with the way he instantly relaxes and reverts back to his usual self. The mood shifts back to how it felt before, and Dazai nods in reassurance.
"You go get some air. I'll be here."
He waves you off as you flash him one last smile before exiting the office. That'll keep him going for a while, he thinks. You look so beautiful when you're full of life, he hopes it rubs off on him too. He stands there for a long time in deep thought, simply smiling at the floor. At some point your hair clip fell out without you noticing, and so he picks it up, pocketing it. He'll consider this the consummation of your relationship.
An hour passes by and you walk back into the office, eager to tell Dazai about your call back home and how refreshed you feel. That he was right, and you wanted to share this new found perspective that he helped you approach and conquer. You find the office is completely empty, and when your eyes glance at your desk, there's a sticky note left on one of the many trinkets you display on it. You read it out loud to yourself.
"You long for the past, so perhaps we can recreate it. Maybe a nice long walk by the river, or we could always try a more private solution.
Either way, I'm at your mercy.
- Osamu"
You can't help but want to kick your feet at the little heart he doodled next to his messy handwriting and make a mental note to properly give him your contact info next time. You'd make sure to take a call from him, because you know he'd make it worth your while.
He always does.

A/N: i am simply a sucker for a gorgeous, dumb blond (gif creds: @captainsamerica)
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader
Summary: The most stubborn man in the world has no one to blame for that gunshot but himself. And all over again, you'll clean him up. 1.5k words
Warnings: hurt/comfort, fluff, angry but soft reader, dumb stevie, slight wound description, its okay: everybody lives, cursing, pet names (honey, baby, darlin), friends to lovers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"God, Steve, do you know how frustrating it is when you do this?" You're ruffled: wide-eyed and feverish. Upset might better describe your situation. Peeved, maybe. Because you're used to his recklessness. Always have been. Even when it was only news articles and rumored hospitalization.
Arm hooked around his waist, he slumps his weight against you while you struggle up the ramp of the jet. Labored breathing fans the nape of your neck, and you can feel his tension loosening with the grip of his consciousness. As he plops down into a hard metal seat, he deflates. Especially with you beside him, he's happy the scolding of his life is at hand.
And all he can do is laugh. Of course he's gonna be okay; he's pumped full of the purest steroids long-dead alchemists could come up with. Which is why he's not worried. So far from worried, in fact, that he's grinning. You're fingering antiseptic against the fresh gunshot wound in his abdomen, and he's sitting pleased.
"You couldn't have been a little more careful?” You grumble something about how stupid he is. That he's doing it on purpose to mess with you. Leave it to Steve to get shot just to piss you off. "Try to risk your life a little less, 'kay? God, it's so frustrating.”
He chuckles, hissing at the brief pain and slumping down in his seat. "You said that already."
"I'm not afraid to hit a dying man—"
"Hush, I'm not dying." He coughs up a wet gargle, and the panic sets in. You press a square of gauze against the shallow divot with the heel of your palm. Lazily, his head lulls to the side, and he can't stop himself from smiling at the crease between your brows.
"That's exactly what you'd say if—"
"—If I was dying, yadda yadda. Have I ever lied to you, darlin'?"
His palm cups yours on his hot skin. Each breath presses taut muscle into the gentle curve of your fingers. Your face screws inward, but he puts a little pressure on your knuckles, trapping them in place on his stomach.
"How'm I supposed to know?"
His tongue clicks behind a smirk, and he blinks his eyes shut. It's because he's exhausted, you know that. You should let him rest, but after losing all that blood, you also figure it's better if he stays conscious until you're sure he'll make it. There's no reason for this time to be different. But then again, there never really is.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't do that. Keep 'em open, please."
"Aw, come on, honey—fine"—his vibrant blue eyes startle you as he goes back to staring—"As I was saying—I'm not planning on dying anytime soon. If I was, I'd tell you so you could smack the deathwish outta me."
"Oh, and I'm just supposed to trust you, huh?"
"Yes, please." He's horrible. The blood he's got left all goes to his head to fuel a stupid grin and the biggest, dumbest puppy dog eyes. No thoughts behind them, just pure nonsense and foggy desire.
"You're the worst," you huff. It kinda stings when you don't chase it with a laugh or a smile. He hates that he's forcing you to be professional. Because unprofessional, unapologetic you is his favorite. A real sweetheart, and he's the one responsible for driving that away.
"I'm sorry," he whispers. More sincere than he's been in his life. Well, this life. It's not often that he gets to open up. He's been Captain for years now. And finally someone calls him Stevie again, and he's screwing it up with his stubbornness. He wishes he could be candid. Taken with life. Unabashed life, all at the tips of his fingers. Yet grabbing on never felt so far away.
He flutters when you scowl up at him, relieved that he gets to be acknowledged by you once more. Excited, suddenly, by the hand on his new scar. Wonderfully exposed by the top of his suit folded at the waist in his lap. And you have to admit, he's handsome. Golden hair flopped into his face, bloodied up by his or someone else's, but still so charming between rattling exhales.
You sigh. "I hate it when you're headstrong."
He perks up from behind the guise of creeping pain. You pay no mind, zipping the first-aid kit up and shoving it back into your duffel.
"Can't you let someone else take the high road? You know it's okay to be the bench guy for one game. Maybe save your life." You shrug, and the guilt washes away from the surface of his skull. He's thrilled again to be here for your bloom as the jet lifts and your ears pop.
"But that's what I have you for."
He hates it because it implies that's all. But that's far from all. You are all. He doesn't know it gives you butterflies because it implies that he has you. And he does. He will.
"As much as I love being your personal nurse, don't you think I deserve a break?" You pout and settle in beside him. He thinks the closeness could make his slow heart start up again. Even with near half his blood left, he'd circulate triple as long as you stay this close.
"C'mon, honey, you know I like when you work for it."
You don't have a second to process before he shifts closer and leans his head back against the tough wall. Your neck goes all hot because he drops his hand in the small space between his thigh and yours. The length of his thumb curiously swipes the skin of your catsuit, and you stiffen.
His breath catches in the dark. Your fingers fit slowly in the spaces of his own, a subconscious squeeze soothing the warm strain built up in all the little slips and slides. And it's okay now. Close like this is good for his ache. He doesn't have to be straight-posture, strict leader in your arms, even if he hasn't been there for very long. He would still like to fold into your warmth like perfect cake batter. Vanilla and streaks of funfetti if you'll keep him in place for a while longer.
"I told you to keep your eyes open, Stevie."
So they snap open. To find you're watching him. It wrecks him wholly to know you've noticed him before. It's so stupid, but he obsesses over the times you're not subtle about it. Like now: wetting the corner of your mouth with the tip of your tongue, pressing the pad of your thumb to his forefinger's knuckle.
"And I told you I'd be okay, darlin'." He feels himself softening. Hot peaches laid delicately into the shell of a tart to bake until golden brown. You could slice through him and take a bite. It would all reassure him knowing you enjoyed the bittersweetness and buttery smooth sinking of your teeth into his flesh.
"Stevie," you coo, lips parted. The gravity of you makes him want to slink closer like a stray cat to warm milk. To dip his tongue in and savor the newness. Cool and better than ever. You could—you do fuel his strength. Every centimeter poured from your cupped palms into—finally—Man. At last. Gold and glimmering. Exposed to weathering but picturesque evermore.
But he looks dazed. Glossed over. On the verge of emotion. And distress bubbles in your lungs.
"D'you need to rest—"
He shakes his head. "Stop thinking about me for five seconds, honey. I think kissing my girl is rest enough," he huffs, "Don't you agree?"
You squint. Smartass. "Actually, old man, it might be better if—"
In a breath, he holds the pretty swell of your chin in his shaking fingers. Mouth close enough to feel the dryness and the softness beneath it all. You gasp, going all pliant at his will. Like angels, too nervous to be impure, he's holding you in place like a statue. Keeping you on edge.
Until you grab his face and kiss him nice and slow. Enough to heal his plight. A new gunshot wound in the form of a pretty lady tearing through his well-grooved chest. Leave all the shrapnel if you'd like. With your mouth in the small of his own, he feels like a dizzy hangover in the middle of a house party. His hands grasp greedily at your waist, turning you and shifting you and pulling. Bringing. Begging.
And, like a minx, like always, like you, you push away with a laugh and wipe his spit from your mouth.
"Been waiting on that for... ever. Feelin' sealed up already, baby," he grumbles.
"Sweet on me now, Stevie?"
He shakes his head with a chuckle.
"Always have been."

-----------1.2k words; strictly 18+ MDNI--------------
"Geto-samaaa... I need a break today. Please, no more.", you huffed in his arms. Your hips and back were starting to hurt from the countless nights that you've been spending with him.
"What do you mean, pet? Have I overworked you? Oh poor you. But there has to be something I can do to satisfy myself. Tell me, what activity do you enjoy that doesn't involve my cock?"
You felt stumped, but something did come to mind. "Che..."
"Hm? What was that, pet? You need to speak up.", he demanded, looking at you expectedly.
"Chest.", your timid voice broke the silence. "I like it when you play with my chest Geto-sama."
After hearing the words leave your mouth, a toothy grin appeared on his face.
"Good job. Look at you speaking your mind. Such a good pet. Well then, get ready.", he cooed, loosening the knot on your robe. "Tonight, I'm going to town on your chest. Nothing more, nothing less. I promise."
He didn't lie when he said he would go to town, because that's exactly what's been happening for the last half hour. You were on all fours above him while his hungry mouth was sucking in your right nipple. Much to your dismay, however, he was paying attention to the right one ONLY. And at this point, you were getting impatient.
"Mmh whyy~", you mewled.
That caught his attention as he unlatched his mouth from your sensitive nub.
"What is it, pet? You don't like it? That can't be, you were the one who suggested this in the first place. I can practically feel you dripping all over me."
"It's not that...", you mumbled, turning your head, because you didn't have the guts to face him right now.
"What is it then? You have to speak your mind. How elese am I supposed to know if I'm doing something you don't like, hm?"
You sucked in a deep brath and squeaked. "The.. the other one..."
"Hm? Come again?", he cocked an eyebrow, putting his fingers on your chin, finally making you look at him.
"The other one...why do you only play with the right one. What about the left?", you mumbled trailing off.
His mind went ding as he smiled up at you. "Oooh your other one wants attention as well, hm? Why didn't you say so? I'm more than happy to oblige." He hummed caressing your cheek with his large palm.
"However, that service comes at a price."
"What do you-?"
"You have to put in a quarter to play."
"A what? I don't think im following Geto-sama..."
"Oh my dumb little pet. I'm talking about this, of course.", he smiled while sliding his exposed cock through your wet folds.
"Mh- no you said we wouldn't do that today!", you tried your best not to succumb to temptation.
"Just the tip, pet. I promise. Do that for me and I'll suck on your tits all night long.", the way his deep and smooth voice rolled off his tongue like honey made you weak.
How could you say no to such an offer. He wouldn't lie to you right? Geto-sama was a man of his word, you can trust him.
So you reluctantly nodded your head yes and began lifting your hips. He was quick to grab you by your hips and push into you. As promised, he didn't go deep and stopped immediately. You felt relief wash over your body as you tried your best to adjust to the sudden intrusion.
You let out a few huffs before finally discarding your robe, saying. "Mhh, I did my part of the deal. Now's your turn...AH-", as you were about to press your left tit against his mouth, he bottomed out, making you whine his name.
"Geto samaaa noo, you promised we wouldn't.. you.. you lied to me.", you sobbed, digging your nails into his exposed chest. The tears collecting in your eyes almost made him pity you. Almost.
"I'll continue pampering you, don't worry, this is just a quick detour."
You had no energy to defend yourself in his tight grasp, so you let him bully his fat cock into your tight little hole without protest.
After a few thrusts, he sat up, keeping you on his lap and finally fulfilled his part of the deal. His tongue darted out to your neglected left nipple while he pinched your right one between his long fingers. His hips kept rocking up into you while his hungry eyes kept looking up at you all throughout his ministrations.
Your tears of disappointment soon turned into tears of pleasure as you started losing yourself in his grasp. It was when he started to stimulate your puffy clit as well that your mind went blank. The expressions you were making were so nasty, that they soon pushed him over the edge as well.
It was the first time both of you came at the same time and it was understandable that you lost your mind at the intense feeling. It was when he kept fucking you through your high that you lost your sense of self and didn't notice that you grabbed onto his face and pushed your lips against his. Your mouth fell open as a needy moan left your mouth at the feeling of getting filled to the brim. You were so out of it that you didn't notice his eyes shoot open and hands halt all movement.
This was the first time you two ever kissed. Cult leader geto always saw sex as an act of service and obedience. Never once has he thought about kissing someone like you. He talked you through it and prohibited you from ever trying, or else...
Your eyes shot open as well at the lack of reaction and you almost had a heart attack at the realisation of what you have just done.
You were beyond terrified, immediately pulling away and shivering at the sight of his blank expression and his sharp eyes burning holes into you.
You began trembling in his tight grasp as your next words came tumbling out. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. Geto-sama, please forgive me-", you sobbed.
As you were about to pull your hands away from his face, he stopped you. You were petrified, expecting the worst. But to your surprise you didn't feel a punishment come your way. Instead, you felt him press his lips against yours and holding your hand in place on his cheek. The kiss was hungry, his tongue prying your mouth open and all you could do was moan and just take it. When he finally pulled away, you didn't dare speak, blinking at him with fear evident in your eyes. Your confusion only grew when you heard him let out a chuckle.
"You surprised me for sure, pet. But let's continue, I quite liked it.", he mumbled.
You nodded, letting out the breath you were holding as you closed your eyes and puckered your lips. While you were making out, you felt him harden inside of you again. This was going to be a long night, after all.
From then on out each time he crashed his lips against yours and made you cream on his cock over and over he thought "fuck it" abandoning his principles. All because of you.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

ot7 vampire — human blood bank
s2 part 7
adult content featured, read at your own discretion
cw: a lot ???
four days. it’s been four days since you went on your walk, and was found by sunwoo.
you never returned to the mansion.
the boys, especially jay, was out of his mind. he lost you, again.
ni-ki with a rebuttal said, “are you sure you lost her? maybe she ran away seeing you and sunghoon get cozy with your ex lovers, eh?”
jake and jungwon had to hold back jay. sunoo and heeseung held back sunghoon. both elders were ready to lunge at the maknae vampire.
“don’t make me tie you in the basement again!” jay threatened.
ni-ki tsked with a smirk, “like to see you try.” he taunted.
ni-ki was becoming stronger with his constant feedings. with the four days you were gone, he still hung with sunwoo. but to a surprise, ni-ki couldn’t notice your smell around.
but sunwoo did something undermining ni-ki. sunwoo stated he didn’t have a “human body,” for ni-ki to drink from, but did have human blood.
your blood.
but ni-ki didn’t know that. he tasted your blood, and immediately felt drunk from your taste, wondering what was so different.
“where did you find this?” ni-ki had asked. with a smile, sunwoo waved ni-ki off like it was no big deal.
“mhm, just drink up and enjoy.”
there was a reason ni-ki barely fed from you as well—your blood was worse for him than regular human blood.
“you and sunoo where the last to see her! was she upset? did she say exactly where she was going to walk?”
“she didn’t say much, jay,” sunoo began, “i will say she didn’t seem too happy about the seraphims moving in. she was just going for a walk and told us to leave her alone.”
“and if i know anything about her, i’m not arguing with that woman when she’s already in a pissed off mood.” ni-ki scoffed, rolling his eyes.
jay ran his hand through his hair. sunghoon looked at jay worried about his health. jay would do anything to find you, even if that meant hurting others in the way.
“should we call in help?” jake asked. “like last time?”
“you all are insane and overreacting!” ni-ki exclaimed. “she’s perfectly fine, she just needs a break!”
all while, you were not fine. sunwoo was taking too much blood from your body to feed himself and ni-ki. more than you were used to. and he wasn’t making sure to feed you or hydrate you properly like jay and sunghoon do.
you laid on a mattress somewhere below where sunwoo held you. chained to a pole nearby, your right ankle was bound.
only given a bucket to pee, only dressed in boxers and a skimpy tank top. you were dehydrated, hungry, weak, and in and out of consciousness.
sunwoo also found his way to use his powers over you. not fully mind controlling you, but sway your actions. because of his mind control, you were starting to lose sense of reality. lines were blurred, and you were beginning to feel a tie to sunwoo.
“ni-ki, if i don’t find her soon, you’ll never leave that basement ever again.”
ni-ki threw his hands up in defeat. “jay, i swear i had nothing to do with it!”
“what about your friend?” sunoo asked, arms crossed.
jay and sunghoon’s eyebrows narrowed. “would he have anything to do with her missing?”
ni-ki scoffed, shaking his head, “last time i was around him i hadn’t sensed her annoying ass around.”
jay’s eyes narrowed, ready to go after the boy. sunghoon stopped jay, holding his arm out against his chest.
“maybe it’s best you stay away until we find her.” sunghoon stated.
“no, it’s best you stay away from him, period.” jay snapped. “i don’t trust those boys, and neither should you!”
“are you kidding?” ni-ki yelled, “those boys are the only ones who accept me for who i am! a blood lusting vampire!”
“ni-ki,” sunoo began, but ni-ki didn’t hear him. ni-ki was seeing red, seething anger, and ears were ringing.
“what’s that supposed to mean?” jay challenged the younger.
ni-ki smiled wickedly, “it means, they’ve been feeding me what i deserve and what my body actually needs to live.”
jake, heeseung, and jungwon gasped. sunghoon and jay looked at the boy like he lost his mind. sunoo stayed silent.
no one had time to react. not even ni-ki, who was strong on human blood. jay had the boy pinned to the wall by the neck, his eyes red. jay was seeing nothing. jay was hearing nothing. all he could think about was that you were missing and one of his own had betrayed him.
“jay! stop!” sunghoon demanded, but jay was too far gone.
ni-ki was choking on air, as jay’s hold tightened around his neck. “could easily snap your neck and you’d be gone!” jay mumbled.
sunghoon knew it was dangerous, but he was the only one in the room right now that could stop him.
sunghoon quickly removed jay, pinning him to the ground. “heeseung, jake, get ni-ki downstairs, now.”
the two listened, ni-ki weak from nearly being choked to death.
“sunoo, jungwon, go get sakura and zuha. we might need chan and his clan after all.” sunghoon finished ordering.
what no one had realized, not even sunwoo, was that you could feel something wrong. something wrong with ni-ki. since he had been mind controlling you as well the past few weeks, your tie with him increased. and although he hasn’t directly fed on you, him drinking from you was enough.
you were so worried about ni-ki, you hadn’t noticed sunwoo come down to check on you. not until you felt your shirt being lifted. cold air hit your skin, causing you to shiver.
you shook your head slightly, but sunwoo just laughed. “aw baby, you saying no to me?” he teased behind a threatening tone.
“i—i’m tired and weak, sunwoo.” you sighed out in a whisper.
“don’t worry, i’ll do the work.”
and sunwoo did. you soon became his sex toy, not even putting up a fight. lines were so blurred, you couldn’t even tell you didn’t belong to him. and you liked it.
back in the main house basement, ni-ki felt something off. he just didn’t know it was about you. jay and sunghoon felt it as well. but they knew and had a feeling it was about you.
heeseung and jake didn’t have time to put ni-ki in restraints, before he was able regain power and run off. although powerful, his head was hurting so bad. he saw visions he couldn’t explain.
“sunwoo.” ni-ki mumbled out, running towards where he knew the boys stayed. he needed to know what was happening to him.
sunghoon and jay stumbled to the main room just as heeseung and jake came back up. the elders heads were spinning as well, and they felt so sick.
“ni-ki got away.” jake said.
“are you two alright?” heeseung asked, worried about his elders.
“sadly, they’re not.” a deep voice said from the front door. it was bang chan with seungmin and minho. “something is wrong with your girl. they’re feeling it.”
that was fast. sakura and jungwon were behind them. sunoo must’ve stayed with the seraphims.
“what could it be?” heeseung asked nervously.
“she’s—,” sunghoon began biting out in pain.
jay finished the sentence. “she’s having sex and bonding with another vampire!” he spat.
seungmin and minho immediately went over to jay to hold him down seeing that he was too deep and anger and sadness, he couldn’t control his emotions.
“when i find ni-ki, i’ll kill him!” jay threatened.
chan tsked. “this is why you need to learn to control yourself, park. ni-ki could possibly help us find her.”
“he said he didn’t sense her around?” jake asked confused.
“that doesn’t mean she’s not there. it just means whoever has her is doing good by covering her up.” seungmin explained. “we’ve been filled in what’s been happening with you all.”
“we think you’ve been targeted purposely.” minho added.
minho, chan, and seungmin explained to the boys what could be happening and why sunwoo and his boys are targeting them. jay, specifically.
few minutes later, ni-ki found himself outside of sunwoo’s small cottage he’s been camping out at. “sunwoo!” ni-ki groaned, nearly collapsing to the ground.
sunwoo came out, seeing the poor boy weak. with a smirk he said, “i know what you need.”
sunwoo walked ni-ki into the main living room, holding up his finger. “i’ll be back. i have the perfect meal for you.”
ni-ki tried to get his breathing back to normal, as sunwoo went downstairs to grab you, not even bothering to let you clean up or change your attire.
ni-ki’s eyes were closed when he smelled a sweet smell. his nostrils went in overload, him nearly drooling at the scent. it wasn’t until he opened his eyes and saw sunwoo was holding you. you leaned against sunwoo’s side.
then, all ni-ki saw was disgust, betrayal, hatred, and anger. but not at you. no. at sunwoo.
ni-ki stood up. “why do you have her? i told you she was off limits.” he voice darkening. he felt stronger suddenly.
sunwoo smirked, “you didn’t seem to argue when you were drinking her blood i offered you.”
ni-ki stared at the both of you. he noticed a small mark on your neck. marks that belonged to sunwoo, and who ever else he let feed off of you.
ni-ki cracked his head to the side, then cracked his knuckles. the thought of any other man, vampire, feeding off of you, touching you, made him want to kill. hunt. hurt.
sunwoo stood behind you, his nose inhaling your scent from your neck, his hand roaming up your thigh, to your chest. “she’s a great feed. taste so good, ni-ki.” sunwoo kissed your neck causing you to shutter.
ni-ki balled his fists. he was trying to control his anger.
sunwoo’s finger traced up your stomach, pulling your shirt up just a bit, so your stomach peeked. “where would you like to feed, mhm? i personally love anywhere i can attach my teeth to.”
ni-ki realized what he was feeling earlier was because of you. the blurred scenes he was envisioning, was you on the bed with sunwoo. you being fed from another vampire. being touched. needing help. feeling weak.
“ni-ki,” you mumbled out, pleading with the boy.
sunwoo in the meantime sunk his teeth into your neck. your blood scent hit ni-ki’s nose. all he could focus on was the sweet smell of you.
your blood.
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
back at the house, chan and his clan worked a plan with jay and sunghoon, while everyone else sat around.
however, when the front door opened, everyone went silent. they all rushed up to gather at the foyer. but nothing could’ve prepared them for the sight.
ni-ki, covered in blood. his face, clothes, almost unrecognizable as his eyes still glowed red.
you, were in his arms bridal style, looking dead almost. but everyone knew you were alive, they could hear your faint heartbeat.
jay nearly jumped at the boy to grab you, but the two of chan’s clan held him back.
“ni-ki, who’s blood?” bang chan asked carefully.
the youngest had a look of warning and distress. ni-ki held on to you tightly, your body slightly limp, your neck with dried blood.
“sunwoo’s.” he sighed. dropping to the ground, but not letting you go.

Kinktober - Day 19 - Cheating
Tumblr media
Kinktober 2024 Masterlist
A/N : hey everyone ! It’s been a while 💕. Sorry, I am drowning in work. That being said, I’m still finding time here and there to write for Kinktober 😉. The prompt for this one was « cheating ». I hope you like it ! Also… enjoy this pic. We were graced with quite a few of them following the Austin performance and I’m not mad 🙈. This man looked like a snack !
CW : infidelity - mention of infertility and IVF - pregnancy
The studio lights flickered dimly, casting long shadows across the room as Marshall sat hunched over the soundboard. His fingers tapped impatiently on the edge of the desk, staring at the unfinished lyrics scattered in front of him. The words weren’t coming as easily tonight, but the work never stopped. He’d been pulling late nights for weeks, trying to piece together his upcoming album, juggling meetings, collaborations, and studio time. But no matter how hard he pushed, the tension followed him home. It was late, nearly 2 a.m., when he finally walked through the front door of his house. The moment he stepped inside, Marshall felt it—the suffocating weight of an argument brewing. You were sitting on the couch, arms crossed tightly over your chest, lips pursed in that familiar scowl that never seemed to leave you, lately.
« You're late. Again, » you said, your voice biting. Marshall sighed, dropping his keys onto the counter with a clink. « Yeah, I told you I had studio time tonight. I sent you a text, didn’t I? ». Your eyes flashed. « A text? You think a text makes up for the fact that you’ve been gone every night for weeks? You don’t even talk to me anymore, Marshall. You just come home late, act like a ghost, and expect everything to be fine. ». He was too tired for this. His hands went to the back of his neck, rubbing at the tension building there. « Y/N, I’m working. You know that. I’m not out screwing around or whatever it is you think. ». « Am I supposed to believe that? » you snapped, standing up. "You expect me to just sit here, wait for you, and believe you’re not seeing someone else? You disappear for hours every day, and I don’t even know if it’s really the studio you’re at anymore. How am I supposed to trust you?  And you don’t exactly have an impeccable track record either… » Marshall’s eyes darkened. He knew you had trust issues—you’d been hurt before—but he wasn’t cheating. He’d been loyal to you in a way he hadn’t been with anyone else. But the constant accusations were wearing him down, and tonight was the breaking point. « I’m busting my ass, Y/N, » he said, his voice rising with anger. « Every day, trying to build something for us, keep my career going. But all you ever do is accuse me of shit that’s not happening. »
« Because you’re giving me reasons to! » you finally shouted. « You’re distant, you’re gone all the time. What am I supposed to think, Marshall? That you’re just too busy for me? That you’re so devoted to your work you can’t even be here for us? ». He clenched his fists, feeling the frustration boiling inside him. He’d had enough. « You know what? I wish I was cheating. At least I’d be having a good time instead of drowning in all this work and coming home to you nagging me every damn night. »
Your face fell, eyes widening with hurt. But your reaction wasn’t what he expected. Instead of breaking down, you hardened. It was one night too many and you were sick of it. He kept on saying he’d do better and yet, he never did. Clearly, you didn’t matter enough. Otherwise, he would have put his words into action and kept his promise to put you first. A promise that seemed long forgotten, now. « Then go ahead, » you said coldly, your voice low and sharp. « If that’s what you want, if you think that’s better than being here, go. Do it. ». Marshall blinked, thrown off by your words. « Y/N, don’t-».
« No, » you cut him off. "If you wish you were cheating so bad, then do it. I don’t care anymore. » The anger flared again, and before he could stop himself, Marshall grabbed his jacket and stormed out of the house. He didn’t know where he was going at first. The cool night air hit his face as he sped down the street and out of your neighborhood, his mind buzzing with rage. He ended up at a place he hadn’t been in years—a strip club on the outskirts of Detroit. It was a dive, the kind of place he used to hit up when he was younger, before fame had swallowed him whole. A memory of his party days, when he used to drink and smoke as much as he could, getting cheap lap dances. Before he became wealthy enough to move on to finer, fancier establishments. The neon lights flickered above the entrance as he walked inside, the bass-heavy music vibrating through his chest. He told himself he was just blowing off steam. He needed to clear his head, to escape for a while. Forget about his anger towards you. He hated being mad at you. But as he sat at the bar, watching the dancers move across the stage, his mind started to drift. Before long, a dancer slid into the seat next to him—flirtatious, bold, exactly what he wanted to distract him from the mess at home. One thing led to another. She invited him to a private room, and in a haze of pent-up frustration, he fucked up. It wasn’t until afterward, as he lay in the dim light of the room, that the weight of what he’d done hit him. The guilt sank deep into his bones, and he felt sick to his stomach. This wasn’t just another mistake, another mess he could clean up. He had crossed a line, and there was no coming back from it. He couldn’t even blame it on the alcohol. For the first time in fifteen years, he cursed his sobriety.
You were the one person he had promised himself he wouldn’t betray, the only woman he had stayed faithful to. You were different, special. He loved you in a way he hadn’t loved anyone else. But now, that was ruined. He had thrown it all away in a moment of anger and weakness. Marshall pulled on his clothes, the silence in the room suffocating. He didn’t even say a word to the dancer as he left. His mind was spinning, regret and shame tearing at him with every step. When he stepped outside into the night air, it felt colder than before, the weight of his actions pressing down on him like a lead blanket. He sat in his car, gripping the steering wheel, his breath ragged. What had he done? There was no excuse. No justification. You had your trust issues, sure, but he had betrayed you in the worst way possible. And for what? A few minutes of distraction? He was disgusted with himself. That stripper… She wasn’t even good. She didn’t compare to you. She didn’t have your smile, your warmth. She was so random, so devoid of charm that he had already forgotten what she looked like. She’d been no better than a random fleshlight. Not that it would make a compelling argument in his defense.
Marshall closed his eyes, feeling the tears burning behind his eyelids. He had ruined everything—the one relationship he thought he could make work, the one person who believed in him despite all his flaws. He knew, in his gut, that there was no going back. And now, he had to face the fallout.
The ride home was the longest one Marshall had ever taken. The streetlights passed by in a blur, but inside the car, his thoughts were sharp and jagged. Every second that ticked by brought him closer to facing the one thing he didn’t know if he could handle—telling you what he’d done. His heart pounded as he pulled into the driveway. The house looked the same, calm and quiet under the soft glow of the porch light. It was deceptive, mocking almost, considering the storm that was about to hit. The same house where the two of you had shared so much love and laughter, where you had fought side by side through the hardest days of your lives. And now, he had single-handedly destroyed it all. Marshall sat in the car for a long minute, gripping the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white. He wanted to run, to drive away and pretend none of this had happened. But there was no escape. Not this time. Finally, with a deep breath, he opened the car door and stepped out. The familiar creak of the front steps under his feet sent a chill down his spine as he approached the door. He didn’t know how he was going to do this, how he was going to tell you that he had betrayed you in the worst possible way.
When he stepped inside, the house was dimly lit, and you were there, sitting on the couch. As soon as you saw him, your face softened with an expression that threw him off guard. You didn’t look angry this time. You didn’t look like you were about to accuse him of anything. Instead, you looked… calm. Tired, but calm. « Hey, » you said quietly, looking up as he walked in. Marshall closed the door behind him, his stomach in knots. He didn’t deserve that softness from you, not after what he had done. He felt the weight of his guilt crushing down on him, and it took everything in him to keep from falling apart right then and there. « Y/N, I— » he started, his voice low and rough, but you interrupted him, standing up and crossing the room toward him. « Marshall, wait, » you said, your tone apologetic, a far cry from the way you had spoken to him earlier. « I need to say something first. ». He blinked, his heart racing as you came closer, your eyes filled with regret. He hadn’t expected this. He hadn’t expected you to look at him like that, not after the way you had fought. « I’m sorry, » you said softly, reaching out to touch his arm. « I was mean earlier. I’ve been mean for a while, and I’ve been blaming you for things that aren’t fair. I know you’re working hard, and I just—  » You stopped, your voice catching in your throat. « I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I think maybe… maybe it’s just the hormones talking. »
Marshall froze. The word "hormones" didn’t register at first, not fully. He just stared at you, his mind trying to catch up with what you had just said. But then, like a slow wave crashing over him, it hit him. Hormones. You were pregnant. As you saw the confusion and disbelief on his face you smiled—a small, tentative smile, but it was there. Your eyes welled up, and you reached for his hand, placing it gently over your stomach.
« Marshall, I’m pregnant, » you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion. « I wasn’t sure how to tell you… I just found out. After everything we’ve been through, I didn’t think it would ever happen. I didn’t even bother tracking my cycle. But… it worked. We’re having a baby. ». Marshall’s breath hitched, his heart slamming against his chest. The news should’ve been everything. It should’ve been the happiest moment of his life. You had both tried so hard for this. Years of heartbreak. Two failed IVF attempts that left you devastated, and both of you resigned to the fact that maybe it wasn’t in the cards for you. It had taken a while for you to convince him to try for a baby but he had caved in, he had come to love the idea of having a family with you. You were the love of his life, after all. His safe place. If there was anyone with whom it made sense to create new life, it was you. So the failed attempts had been just as hard on him. He had held you through the tears, telling you you’d be okay, that they didn’t need a baby to complete your family if it wasn’t meant to be. But deep down, he knew how much it had crushed you. He had wanted it too—so badly. But now…
Now, the miracle you had both given up on was real, right in front of you. You were carrying his child. You had managed to conceive naturally, no lengthy doctors appointment, no impersonal hospital visit. Just the two of you, making love, resulting in a tiny miracle. It should’ve been perfect. But all Marshall could feel was the crushing weight of what he had done hanging over him like a death sentence. His throat tightened, and the words he needed to say felt like knives lodged in his chest. He stared down at you, your face glowing with hope, your eyes filled with a kind of joy that made him want to die inside.
« I… » he started, his voice breaking. He couldn’t keep this from you. He owed you the truth. He had to tell you, no matter how much it was going to destroy you, no matter how much it would ruin this moment. You were the love of his life, his one and only, and he could ever lie to you. But before he could get the words out, you stepped closer, pressing your forehead against his chest, holding him tighter. « I know I’ve been hard on you. I’ve been so scared, Marshall. So scared we’d never get this. And now… now we’re going to be parents. Together. » Your voice was filled with so much hope, so much love, it felt like a punch to the gut. « I’ve wanted this for so long. We’ve wanted this for so long, » you whispered, looking up at him, tears in your eyes. « And I’m so sorry for doubting you. You didn’t deserve that. I love you, and I trust you. I do. I know you’re not like the guys who hurt me before. ». Marshall felt the air leave his lungs, his heart shattering into a thousand pieces. The truth was lodged in his throat, but it refused to come out. How could he tell you? How could he look into your eyes, knowing the miracle you were carrying, and admit that he had thrown it all away? His voice was hoarse when he finally spoke, barely more than a whisper. « Y/N… I… I need to tell you something. »
You looked up at him, your face softening. « What is it? ». He swallowed hard, his chest tight with pain. The words were stuck, burning like acid in his throat. He had ruined everything. What was supposed to be the happiest moment of your lives was now tainted by his betrayal. « I messed up, » he whispered, his voice breaking. «  I… I did something. Something I can’t take back. Something bad. ». Your brow furrowed in confusion, and he could see the shift in your eyes as you realized that whatever he was about to say really wasn’t good. « Marshall, what… what did you do? » you asked, your voice trembling with uncertainty. His heart broke as he looked into your eyes, knowing that whatever fragile hope you had would be shattered in an instant. But he had to tell you. He had to face the consequences of his actions. If he couldn’t pride himself in keeping his vow to be faithful to you, he should at least keep the one of always being honest.
« I cheated, » he confessed, his voice cracking under the weight of his guilt. « I went to a strip club tonight… and I messed up, Y/N. I’m so sorry. »
Your face drained of color, your hand dropping from his. The look of betrayal in your eyes was like a knife to his soul. The miracle you had both hoped for was here, but the damage was done. And now, nothing would ever be the same again.

games you play | eddie munson
the prelude; the consequences of being late to class... a class that you share with eddie munson and that he, as a matter of fact, has failed.
a/n : i am using this little thing as an introduction to my fic, i will be posting the first chapter as soon as i can. <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Billy- Billy, I’m gonna be late” you try to reason with him, but he keeps peppering you with kisses, making you squirm under his body. “Come on, you- fuck- You know how O’Donnell gets.”
You hear Billy sigh, and you do too when he releases you. You miss his kisses already, but you simply cannot be late to miss O’Donnell’s class.
His blue eyes look into your own adoringly, a small smile playing on his lips. “Fine, but you owe me. Tonight?”
You can’t say no when he looks at you with those puppy dog eyes. And truth is, you don’t want to.
“Bet” you giggle, causing a chuckle to escape your boyfriend’s mouth too as he curls a finger under your chin, pecking your lips once, twice and three times before finally letting you go.
You get out of his arms before he can catch you again, and rush up the stairs towards your class. When you finally reach the door, you open it and a more than familiar face greets you.
“Look who has decided to join us. Meredith, I didn’t expect it from you” she shakes her head at you, and your eyes widen.
8:03 am. Shit.
“I am so sorry─” “No need. Just- Don’t let it happen again” she gives you a tight-lipped smile, nodding towards the only empty seat left.
You nod and rush towards your seat, placing your books on the desk.
“As I was saying prior to being interrupted” she emphasises and you sink in your seat, “You will be working in pairs for this assignment. It is rather complex, otherwise I would have never let you.”
Tammy raises her hand, and the teacher gives her a pointed look, raising her eyebrows. “Can I work with Steve?” she asks excitedly, and you snort when the aforementioned boy gives you a horrified look.
“Not exactly, miss Thompson. I would rather you work with your desk mates. It should be a fifty-fifty type of project” she eyes her suspiciously, but decides to let it go as she starts explaining about said project.
You don’t even realise who is sitting beside you, until you notice Steve is giving you a shit eating grin, looking over your shoulder.
“So, you and Harrington think you are too good for us, remains of society, right?” you turn to your right, only to find Eddie Munson, the freak, toying with his pen.
You look at him, confused. He remains unimpressed as he glances at you for merely a second. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
It is his turn to snort, rolling his eyes, but still avoiding eye contact as he looks forward. “Oh, please. Tammy, and now me, all in under ten seconds. I’m impressed.”
You remain silent for a second, before shaking out of your thoughts. “We don’t normally─”
“Oh, trust me, I know” he hums. “You should have come sooner, though, if you wanted to work with one of them... Oh! But wait, Hargrove had his tongue down your throat and now you are stuck with me” Eddie’s face spreads into a wide grin when he sees the shocked expression on your face.
You lean back against your chair and stay quiet for the rest of the class. And when it’s finally over, Eddie gathers his books, not leaving before he looks over at you. “Five pm, my place.”
“Are you saying the freak made fun of you and you didn’t say anything back?” Steve laughs at you, as you both gather your things to leave for the day.
You give him an unamused smile, and he holds his hands up in the air. “I’m just saying, Mer. That was unnecessarily rude. Tell Hargrove that and he will─”
“Shut it!” you shush him, cupping Steve’s mouth and he licks it. “Idiot!” you slap him on the back of his head and he laughs out loud, opening the door to his car so you can get in.
Five pm rolls around and you are already at the trailer park. You don’t really know which one is Eddie’s, but you don’t have much time to think about it before you hear a door being slammed open, and see a head of curls popping out. “Come in, then, princess” he steps aside, and you step inside the trailer.
It’s cute, actually. It is a bit small, indeed. But it looks nice and as clean as Eddie Munson can keep it, knowing his chaotic personality.
“Yeah, it’s not your palace, but it does the job” he snorts ironically when he sees you look around.
“Your place is nice” your eyes meet for a second, before he looks away. “Let’s go to my room” he instructs, hand at the small of your back, but barely touching you as he guides you inside his room, closing the door behind him.
His bed is a bit messy, papers are thrown around the room, but, somehow, it looks cosy. “So- the project. What do you want to start with?”
His eyes snap to yours in a moment. “Yeah so, I don’t know if you figured, but I failed this class last year.”
You hum, unzipping your backpack. You do know. “Of course. I can help you, if you want.”
Eddie huffs, throwing his hands in the air and you look at him surprised. “Okay, what the fuck is this game you’re trying to play?”
“Sorry?”
“You trying to help me, complimenting my house” he squints at you, crossing his arms over his chest. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
You look at him utterly confused. His words make you take a step back, Eddie has always intimidated you and his snarky comment made the things even worse for you.
Seeing the annoyed expression on his face, you decide to speak up. “I just- I am good at Chemistry so I just figured, you know...”
He thinks for a second, and you can see his face soften for a minute. You exhale.
“Get the fuck out of my house.”

I wonder if you look both ways (When you cross my mind) pt. 3
a nice long update for ya ♡ part 1 part 2
cw: internalized homophobia and projecting internalized homophobia (from an oc)
🐝・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・✦ʚɞ
June 1996, Chicago
Steve's first steps into his living room are not met with silence and sunshine; in fact, he is met with two surprises.
The first being Eddie Munson still in his apartment.
Steve rubs the tired out of his eyes, squishing his palm into his lids in hopes of shaking out a morning delusion. He is proven unsuccessful..
His second surprise is that Eddie is awake, staring at Steve in high alert, blankets folded neatly (he must have scrounged around for them in the night, not that Steve minds), sitting patiently as if he has been waiting for hours for Steve's arrival.
If the second surprise hadn't happened, Steve might have excused the first. See, Eddie, in all the years he had known him, had been anything but an early riser, usually choosing to sleep the day away. So if he had been asleep still, Steve might have let him being in his apartment slide.
Steve ponders how he doesn't really know Eddie anymore, so he shouldn't actually be surprised.
Eddie clears his throat, "So, how about that talk?"
Steve has to resist shutting his eyes to relish in the sound of Eddie's deep timbre. His voice has grown scratchy over the years—from singing or cigarettes, Steve can't be sure. It feels like coming home, either way, to have his voice brush over him.
Instead, Steve clears his throat back. "Don't have time; maybe try again in another five years." He moves to the kitchen to start making their morning drinks—hot coffee with cream for Robin and an iced dirty chai for Steve.
When Dustin had been working at a cafe back when he was in college, he made Steve try all of their new drinks. Surprisingly his favorite became a dirty chai—something which Robin finds hilarious.
Steve grabs the chipped green mug from the cabinet and begins pouring Robin's coffee. It had already been hot and ready in the pot, which probably meant Eddie had prepped it for him. Steve doesn't comment.
Eddie huffs through his nose, "C'mon Stevi—Steve. It's ten in the morning on a Saturday. You can't tell me you're busy right now."
Steve has to resist slamming Robin's mug down on the counter, already having being put together after the 1994 incident, he doesn't want to face her wrath.
Gently placing it on the counter, Steve turns. "Actually, I have somewhere to be at twelve, not that you need to know that. And don't act like you know what's going on in my life, Munson."
Eddie smiles, a little laugh escapes him. God, it is like a fucking drug after years of being sober that laugh. Steve wants to beg him for another hit, even though he knows it's bad for him.
With the smile never leaving his face, Eddie raises his hands. "Okay, okay. You're right."
"Why are you smiling? This isn't funny." Steve huffs.
Eddie's face softens, "Sorry, just even though you're mad at me. You're talking to me, and shit, sweetheart. I would take that over silence any day. It's nice to hear your voice."
Steve has to force himself to keep his shoulders tense, wanting to sag into Eddie. He's still mad at him, furious even. But some part of him agrees deep down, this is nice.
He can never let Eddie know that.
"Fuck off, Munson. I have shit to do. I'm sure you're too busy anyway."
Eddie shakes his head, hair falling in front of his face. "No, trust me I have nothing else going on. The band is on hiatus. And even if we weren't, trust me when I say this is exactly where I am supposed to be right now."
Steve can't help the snort that comes out of him, "Funny you're asking me to trust you, asshole. That went out the door with your bags five years ago."
Eddie flinches back, "Okay, I deserve that one."
Steve doesn't mention to Eddie how he knows his band has been on hiatus for over a year now. How he's kept up on the band, even after Eddie left. How he is curious why they went on hiatus at all, they have two successful albums, and supposedly were working on their third, when suddenly they all decided it was time for a break.
Peak of their career, and they chose silence. Normally, a horrible career move, but it seems it makes the rock community want them even more.
Steve can understand that partially. When it comes to Eddie, you can't help but want more, even when he disappears without a trace.
"I got to go get ready. Seriously, Munson. I know you think I don't mean it when I say leave. I think you're stuck on the Steve from five years ago, and how the Steve from then wouldn't really mean it. But this is the Steve now. And Steve from now means it when he says, get the fuck out. Go find someone else who could actually use your presence, like Dustin. God knows the kid deserves a phone call."
Eddie opens his mouth to protest, but doesn't get to chance to say his peace, Steve's already on his way back to his bedroom with their drinks in hand.
🐝・゚ ・゚·:。・゚゚・✦ʚɞ
Steve is running late.
It's not his fault, he has a fucking ghost haunting his living room, and it takes him ten times longer to work around it. Robin tells him to cancel his lunch, but Steve doesn't, even though she's right.
Robin's always right.
Steve can't help but feel a little smug when thinking back to leaving his apartment, though. He looks good, wearing his nicest Levi's and soft white button-up. Steve had made sure to keep the top few buttons undone, showing off his gold necklaces that landed perfectly on his exposed chest hair.
For Drew, of course, not for Eddie.
Still, Steve knows he looks good. So when he leaves his apartment and Eddie doesn't even bother to try to talk to him again because he is just too busy staring at Steve.
Steve makes it to the restaurant only five minutes late. It would have been on time if it had been in his athletic prime.
Resturant, Steve realizes, is a bit of a stretch. It appears to be a cafe--but not one of those cozy ones with crazy colors and a fun name. No, this cafe is incredibly fancy. Everything is so sleek and high up, the name in an Italian word he'll have to asked Robin to translate later.
Steve looks around the cafe in a huff, realizing Drew is nowhere to be found. He is momentarily flooded with relief, knowing he has beaten Drew to the cafe.
Steve finds a table in a corner and waits. His brief relief is quickly swept away into annoyance as he sits there for minutes with no signs of Drew.
It takes another thirty minutes, before Drew is finally at the cafe.
"Sorry, I'm late, baby." He says breath even. Steve knows he was in no rush to be here on time. He doesn't move to kiss Steve, not on the cheek and certainly not on the mouth. Drew isn't one for PDA, or so he says. Instead, he smooths down his dark blue Armani suit and sits across from Steve.
"You know, you could give me a kiss. I haven't seen you in a week." Steve decides to move past his being late; there is no point in arguing. If it had been him, Steve is sure he would never hear the end of it.
"Sweetheart..." Drew whispers and brushes his hand against Steve's knee. Steve's lip twitches; he doesn't like it when Drew calls him that. "You know it isn't safe to do that."
Steve wants to throw Drew's hand off of him, but he doesn't. It's always like this between them, Steve wants more, and Drew pulls back. It's beginning to feel tiresome, this game between them. They have been dating for a year and have made no progress in public. Steve's lucky Robin gets to know, seeing as basically no one else in either of their lives knows about each other. For Steve, everyone knows of Drew but not his name. For Drew, Steve is almost sure no one even knows he's gay.
Steve wants to hit himself for the thought. It's unfair of him to put these expectations on Drew, everyone comes out at their own pace. He would be a hypocrite if he pushed him; it had taken him nineteen years to figure out he was bisexual. Took Eddie leaving for him to come out to anyone other than Robin.
It feels different somehow with Drew, though. Like this isn't him scared to come out, but more like Drew doesn't actually see a future with Steve. It had taken them six months to even label themselves as boyfriends, moving from late-night booty calls to watching a movie together in Steve's living room in the middle of a Tuesday.
Steve rubs his temples instead of smacking Drew's hand away. Steve feels tired of this cycle. He knows this is the best he's going to get when it comes to dating. With women, they often want him to admit that he was experimenting, wanting to shun parts of himself away. That or they are convinced he's gay. Well, he is, but it's more than that, and they don't seem to get it.
With men, it's the opposite problem. Either they need him to admit being bisexual is just something he used to make himself feel better, or they are only looking for a quick hookup.
Hookups are nice, but approaching thirty, Steve wants something real and is perhaps sick of finding out the man he brings home from the bar is married.
He knows this is the best he's going to get.
"Maybe if we met a cafe in my neighborhood, we could be a bit more affectionate. The one down the block has a rainbow flag and everything."
Drew scrunches his nose, "Why do that when we can get nice coffee like this?"
Steve doesn't point out that neither Drew nor himself has ordered coffee. Steve can't afford the coffee here, and Drew was late. "I think that's your way of saying where I live isn't nice."
Drew grabs his hand under the table, "No, babe, I don't want to fight today. I've missed you."
Steve feels bad; he has missed Drew. Despite their ups and downs (and Robin's grumbles), Steve does care for him. "You're right, I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it. Besides, I did want to have lunch for a reason." Drew smiles brightly. Steve can't help but stare for a minute. It's no surprise what hooked Steve the first moment they met at the club. He is a classic kind of handsome. Wavy brown hair cut to look proper, a shiny white smile, piercing blue eyes. Nothing about him is soft, he is full of sharpness that takes you from across the room.
He's the kind of guy Steve's parents would have loved if they were okay with Drew being a guy—if Steve was even talking to them at all.
"Oh yes, you've got me on the edge of my seat." Steve jokes.
Drew gives him a charming smile, "There's my funny guy."
Steve rolls his eyes.
"So I have a big question for you..."
Steve freezes up; oh no. Here it comes. The talk, the let's move into together speech. One he'll have to turn down. No one ever gets it. How he can't live without Robin. Literally and physically.
"....so Greg says there's an opening and I think you'd be a great fit."
Steve shakes himself out of his thoughts, "What?"
Drew levels him with a look. "A job? For you?"
Oh. "I already have a job."
It's Drew's turn to roll his eyes, "C'mon, Steve. A high school guidance counselor? You could do so much more."
"I like my job, Drew. We've been through this. Besides, you barely want to be seen together, and now you want to work together? I have no interest in working at a law firm."
Drew pinches his nose, "Just...just think about it, okay? I want to see more of you in any way I can."
Steve doesn't want to fight. The fight left him a long time ago. "Okay."
He doesn't mean it.

Cold December Night- Part 1
AN: Here it is, folks! I hope you have as much fun reading this as I did writing it <3 In true T fashion, it's named after a Michael Buble song (yes, a Michael Buble Christmas song. I'm done defending him). Find it on ao3 here, or under the cut!
Happy reading <3
Tumblr media
Stockings are hung with care The children sleep with one eye open Well, now there's more than toys at stake 'Cause I'm older now but not done hoping
“No, Marcus! Fuck you!”
Hotch’s gaze darts towards the clock on the wall opposite his desk. 7:28pm. He’s usually the only person in the office at this hour, but he’s certain that he just heard an exclamation from the bullpen.
He straightens up in his seat to go investigate the noise; the motion-sensor lights of his office flicker on, and the bright LED is harsh compared to the warm orange lamplight he’s been working under. How long has it been since he last moved around?
Instead of thinking about that, he stands up with a stifled groan. He isn’t as young as he used to be, and these long nights of doing paperwork hunched over sitting on office chairs is certainly starting to catch up with him.
What else is he supposed to do? Go home and be alone during the holidays? Jack is old enough to have some say in the custody agreement, and he made it clear that he wanted to spend the next few weeks with Haley.
It had hurt, especially when Jack refused to tell his dad why he made the choice. It was like a knife through the heart, but it didn’t compare to the feeling in Aaron’s chest when he spoke to Haley about it.
“He’s afraid you’ll have to work. He doesn’t want to be alone on Christmas,” she had told him, as warm and empathetic as she had ever been, but it didn’t stop Aaron from feeling the knife in his heart as it twisted around.
He didn’t want to think about that, so he worked. He stayed late, worked long hours and took on extra consults, doing whatever he could to avoid his empty apartment that didn’t even have a Christmas tree or any decorations up.
And apparently, he isn’t the only one staying late tonight.
“You’re a piece of shit, do you know that?”
The voice rings out again, and Hotch approaches his office window. His door is wide open, but he can’t see anyone in the bullpen below. When he steps out of his office, he starts following the voice as the tirade continues. Down the steps into the bullpen, towards a cluster of desks tucked out of view of his office.
“We were supposed to go tomorrow. Tomorrow, you asshole. What the hell am I supposed to tell my family? What should I say to my mother?” There’s a brief pause, followed by a scornful laugh. “You wish. Merry fucking Christmas.”
Just as Hotch turns the corner and sees you drop your phone on the desk, he hears a sob. A weak sound, like you aren’t sure you want to make the noise but have to let it out anyway.
Oh, great.
Hotch prided himself on the interpersonal relationships of the BAU, between the other agents and with himself. Maybe he wasn’t exactly friends with the agents on his team, but that was fine. There was still a mutual respect and trust, one that he relied on in the field and did his best to maintain.
Except with you.
He didn’t really know why, truth be told. You had been warm and receptive upon first starting at the BAU, and it had been a nice few weeks. But overnight, for a reason Hotch didn’t understand, a switch had flipped. You started brushing off his greetings, ignoring his offers of coffee when he made a fresh pot, and generally leaving him feeling disrespected.
The exception, and the reason he hadn’t filed any kind of complaint about your behaviour, was fieldwork. The two of you worked like a well-oiled machine, and you never disregarded his theories the way you brushed off his opinions on things as simple as the weather.
In the field, you could read each other’s minds. But the second your bulletproof vest came off, Hotch felt like he transformed back into someone you couldn’t care less about. Like the unit existed in Cinderella, and he turned into a pumpkin at midnight.
Despite it all, Hotch still tried to respect you and even to get along in the office. He didn’t treat you any differently in or out of the field, but with time and your repeated rebuffs of his attempts at friendliness, the attempts faded away and were replaced with a quiet acceptance that you just didn’t like him. As long as you didn’t disrespect him in the field, he knew it would be fine.
So when he comes across you in the bullpen, tucked away and sobbing into your hands, he has no idea what to do. Should he try to comfort you? Sneak back to his office and pretend he never heard a thing?
The decision is made for him when he shifts slightly and his knee pops audibly, a result of sitting the way he has been for hours.
The sound gets your attention, and you barely turn your head. It isn’t the confrontation he was expecting from you finding him eavesdropping, but your reaction makes more sense when he hears your voice.
It’s ragged, and tired. You sound defeated. “How much did you hear?”
Hotch keeps his voice low, quiet, hoping that his tone can calm you a little. “Not much. Cursing aside, just that you have to go somewhere tomorrow and don’t know what to tell your mother.”
He must be right, because you heave out the sigh of the century. “She’s always right. Do you have any clue how annoying that is? She hates every guy I date, and we fight about it, and then he turns out to be an even bigger douchebag than the guy before him. I was an idiot for thinking she’d be wrong about Marcus.”
That’s one family annoyance Hotch has never had to worry about; his father wasn’t right about a single thing in his life. “Marcus… is that your boyfriend?”
“He was. And then he got arrested for having sex in public.” It takes a half-second for Hotch to put together the pieces, but you fill him in just to be safe. “And it was with someone else. Obviously. He just called me to bail him out, and I told him to go to hell.”
Aaron can’t hold back his wince. “I’m sorry. Are you going to be alright?”
The scornful laugh he heard earlier punches out of you again, and you shake your head. You’re still turned away, but it’s easy to see when you rub your eyes. “We were supposed to visit my family for the holidays. They always make such a big deal out of it, too. I didn’t bring someone two years in a row, and you would have thought the world was ending. They were so happy I was bringing Marcus. They’ve never met him, only heard stories, and they were excited to actually get to know him. Now I have to go there alone, tell my mother she was right about him, and get silently judged by my extended family for a week. I’m in hell.”
If there’s something Aaron can relate to, it’s family judgement. Later, when he thinks back on this moment, he might blame his next sentence on that. He might blame it on the late hour and his recent lack of sleep, or he might blame it on something more subconscious, like how he doesn’t need to be home for Jack this year. No, not that. He doesn’t want to think about that.
Well, it doesn’t matter what he’s going to blame it on, because he still says it. “You could bring someone else.”
“Right, totally. I’ll just finish up this report and head over to Boyfriends-R-Us.” The sarcasm is dripping off of you, a thin layer to shield the vulnerability and hurt in your voice.
Aaron definitely isn’t going to think about this moment later, when he starts playing the blame game with his past self. But if he were to think about it at all, he would recognize the way his stomach clenches when he hears your voice crack, exposing the raw hurt under it. The way he sympathizes with that hurt, and wants to make it go away.
“I could help you out.”
It’s the first time in all the conversation that he sees your entire face; you turn around in your desk chair, giving him an incredulous look. You look vulnerable, upset, and he thinks he can detect a flash of hope in your eyes before you blink.
“What?”
“I can come with you. I’ll pretend to be Marcus–you said no one has met him yet—and you don’t have to tell anybody what happened for a few months, if you like. It’s a win-win.”
If you’re curious about how it’s a win for Aaron too, you don’t question it just yet. Later, when you think back on this moment, you might blame it on that. On your own curiousity, wanting to know why he’s willing to be out of the state on Christmas and why he looks so vulnerable while he waits for you to answer.
It doesn’t really matter what you can blame it on, though; not when you stick out your hand to shake his, think ‘consequences be damned’, and say, “Deal.”

The Gambit (Hotch x Fem!Reader) -- part five
I've officially gone back to work full time, so I might be a bit slower with writing, but hopefully not too much! I'm really excited keep posting this little story with all its twists and turns 🤭🤭 (That being said, the end of this one will prob make zero sense but TRUST ME, it will make sense later on)
Warnings: more of the case, more arguing, depictions of a panic attack, more vagueness about Reader's backstory 👀

Hotch watches you through the two-way glass as you speak to Richard Monroe once again. Rossi stands at his side, watching him watch you.
“She’s doing good,” Rossi comments. “Considering she just started.”
“She’s hiding something,” Hotch says quietly.
“Aren’t we all?” Rossi tries to make light of the moment, though it clearly doesn’t work. “What’s got you spooked?”
Hotch shakes his head slowly. “He recognized her somehow.”
“You’re sure he’s not toying with her?” Rossi asks. “He’s obviously attracted to her. He’s been flirting with her since she stepped in there.”
Hotch can’t explain why but that makes anger burn inside his chest even hotter.
“Relax,” Rossi says.
“I am relaxed,” Hotch says too quickly, too defensively.
Rossi stares at him. “You’re on edge because she’s here again, and she’s on edge because you’re making her on edge.” He points between the two of you to emphasize his point.
Hotch isn’t ready to back down so easily, but he does ease slightly.
He is on edge because you’re here again. He was on edge during that case all those years ago for a reason he couldn’t place — he still can’t place it. Not to mention, you seemed determined to push any and every button of his that you could find. And then some. He lost it, you lost it; it was a disaster. He was as happy to leave as you were to see him go. It’s barely been forty-eight hours since you’ve been back and it’s obvious the same pattern is repeating. Only this time, you’re both stuck with one another. For the indefinite future.
Because, at the end of the day, you’re good at your job, and Hotch is glad you’re here because you’re so good at what you do.
Hotch casts his eyes back to Richard. Is he flirting with you? Hotch can’t exactly tell, yet Rossi says he is. Or did Rossi only say it to get a rise out of Hotch? Not unlikely, knowing David. But it doesn’t make it sit any more right with Hotch.
But you’re getting somewhere with him. That’s important; that’s worth focusing on.
Richard admits that there is one person in particular who had it out for him more than the others. The problem is, that person is in prison. Or he’s supposed to be. Because Richard had him framed.
“Already on it,” Rossi says, putting his phone to his ear. He rattles the name off for Garcia and she goes to work.
Inside the room, you’ve leaned over on the table, your chin in your palm. Clearly sympathetic, trying to get more out of Richard.
Hotch sees it now, the way Richard is looking at you. And he doesn’t like it. He straightens, uncrossing his arms, ready to haul you out of there any second.
+++
You’re getting good information out of him. You haven’t shown him the phone yet, but you will. You wanted him to warm up again first, and he has. You hope Hotch is eating his foot right now from how much he doubted you. And you hope Rossi is laughing at him.
You almost laugh yourself, but you stop, and just in time too, for Richard to throw another curveball your way.
“I think I know what it is,” he says after a moment of looking you up and down — which he won’t stop doing. “You’re all grown up.”
You’re not sure what he’s getting at. “What?”
“Why I didn’t realize it at first,” he continues. “You’re different from the pictures. Older.” He narrows his eyes. “But it’s definitely you.”
“We’re not talking about me,” you redirect him. “We’re talking about Lila.”
“We could talk about you,” he ignores your bait. “Where’d you grow up?”
“Where would he take Lila?” you plow through. “Think about your daughter, Richard. If he has her, where would he take her?”
“He probably just wanted me to turn myself in, the bastard,” Richard says. “Give him a few hours. He’ll let her go.”
“Will he?” you ask. He doesn’t seem at all upset that someone has his daughter. “What about what he’ll do to her? What he’s probably already done?”
He shrugs, then a sinister smirk crawls onto his face. “You were let go without a scratch, weren’t you?”
You can’t hide your reaction. It’s impossible to, when that— that is the last thing you expected him to know.
Before you can react — or realize the laughter you hear is coming from Richard — Hotch is throwing the door open and ordering you out.
“Out, Y/N. Now,” he repeats, glaring at Richard. Not you. Surprisingly.
You stand and leave, your feet working on their own. You pause just outside the room, pulse racing in your ears. The door shuts and Hotch is at your side, looking at you weirdly -- or is that sympathy in his eyes? You don’t know. And you can’t hear a damn thing, but you see Hotch’s mouth moving.
“Y/N,” he says. “I said are you okay?”
“Fine, don’t touch me,” you swat his hand away, not that it was anywhere near your arm. He’s just standing too close and looking at you differently and it’s setting you off all over again. “I’m gonna go get some air.”
“Okay.” He doesn’t try to stop you or lecture you, both of which are a feat for him. He should be proud of himself.
The jab is weak, even in your head. You’re too disoriented to even try something harsher.
You’re out the front doors of the precinct before you can blink, and pacing the sidewalk before you can breathe.
You still can’t breathe, actually. You can’t at all. That’s a problem.
You lean against one of the BAU cars and try to inhale, but it’s like your lungs refuse to expand. They’re shrinking with every passing second and—
You’re sitting on the ground and someone is hovering over you— No, they’re kneeling. They’re saying your name, saying breathe, and you’re trying, but—
“Look at me, you need to breathe, come on,” Hotch takes your hand and presses it between both of his, trying to ground you. “With me, okay?” He takes in a deep breath and you nod, mirroring him, or trying to. You swear you’re trying.
It takes some time, but eventually your breathing evens out again. Reality comes crashing back to you — and Hotch too, apparently, because you both split apart from one another like you’re burning.
“Thanks,” you say, taking in another deep breath.
“You’re welcome,” Hotch replies. He doesn’t sound at all angry, but he won’t stop looking at you.
“No.”
“No?” he asks.
“No,” you repeat. “I’m not talking about it right now.”
“I wasn’t going to ask.”
You scoff. “Sure.”
He pauses. “We will have to talk about it.”
“For god’s sake,” you mutter, rubbing your forehead with a shaking hand. “Not now. And not until we’re back in Quantico. Okay?”
Surprising you, he nods. “Okay.” He waits another beat, still studying you. “Take your time. Come back in when you’re ready.”
You blink after him as he walks away, wondering if that really was Hotch that you just talked to. And not some nicer alien who replaced him.

When you walk back into the precinct, the entire team tries — and promptly fails — to not give you pitying looks.
“I’m fine,” you bite out when Morgan opens his mouth.
He snaps it closed. “Cool. I was gonna ask if you wanted some coffee.”
No he wasn’t. But you let it slide. “Sure. Thank you.”
You settle down in the conference room next to Reid and JJ. Apparently Emily is trying to talk to Richard now with Hotch and Rossi watching, but you’re not sure how far she’ll get, if anything. He seems done being cooperative now. He got what he wanted. Which, for some reason, was to rattle you to your core.
You’re still just not sure how he even knows any of that. The world of serial killers can’t seriously be that small, can it? There’s no way he could’ve known your father and the man who kidnapped you when you were a kid.
And how the fuck are you going to explain any of this to Hotch? He’s not going to let it go; you know he won’t. He will corner you the second you’re back in Quantico and demand answers. Even if you tell him to leave it alone, you know he’ll try to find out in other ways. Because he’s a stubborn jackass like that.
“Here,” Morgan says, handing over a steaming cup of coffee.
“Thanks,” you take it and offer a smile in return. He squeezes your shoulder as you take a sip.
It might be police precinct coffee, but it’s good enough, and it helps. That’s about all you can ask for at this point.
The four of you go over what you know so far once again. Garcia calls with no new leads from the most recent rabbit hole Hotch sent her down, and a promise to keep digging.
“Thanks, Garcia,” you sigh, putting your head down on the table as the call disconnects. “What are we going to do?”
“I don’t know,” Morgan sighs with you. “I mean it’s been well over the window for—”
“Don’t,” you whisper, but loud enough that he stops. “Don’t say it, please.”
“Sorry, kiddo,” Morgan whispers back, resting a hand on your back.
You lift your head. “We’ll get her back.”
JJ and Reid share the same sad look. You hate it. You hate this.
You were gone for two days when you were a kid. You were found on the morning of the third day. There’s still time. Just because it’s been over twenty-four hours doesn’t mean she’s—
Hotch enters the conference room looking just as disturbed as he was when you left the interrogation room earlier. Rossi and Emily trail behind, both watching you closely.
“Morgan and Reid, I want you to go speak with Mrs. Monroe again. Reid, take a close look at Lila’s room, see if there’s anything at all that we’ve missed. Actually, JJ, go with them. Talk with Mrs. Monroe. Update her on everything.”
The three of them nod and begin gathering their things to head out.
“Prentiss, I want you and Rossi to go back to the area where Lila’s phone was found. Canvas the area, keep open eyes. A few officers are already there to help.”
That leaves you. With Hotch.
“Call me with whatever you find,” Hotch tells them. “No piece of information is too small or insignificant right now.”
“Roger that,” Prentiss nods.
One by one, the team files out of the room, and the door shuts behind them. You swallow thickly.
The conference room suddenly feels far too small.
Hotch pulls out one of the chairs next to you, sitting down. He leans his elbows onto the table, not looking at you. Earlier, he wouldn’t stop looking at you, and now he won’t even meet your eyes. You’re five seconds away from tossing this lukewarm coffee in his face.
“Richard mentioned—”
Make that two seconds. “Hotch,” you interrupt him immediately. “I said I’m not talking about this right now.”
“Richard mentioned,” he starts again, ignoring you, “something earlier that startled you.”
You scoff, pushing back from the table. You need to pace. You can’t sit if he’s going to start hounding you for answers now. Right now, of all times.
“We have a missing kid,” you gesture wildly. “In case you forgot.”
Hotch leans back. “We do. And her father seems to know more about your past than I do.”
“Well, you and I aren’t exactly friends.”
“Are you and Richard Monroe friends?”
“What? No!”
“Is he a family friend?”
You freeze. He’s getting too close to the truth already. “What the hell are you getting at?”
Hotch stands slowly, and you take a step back even though he hasn’t moved toward you at all. He notices the action and tilts his head ever so slightly. Fuck. You’re not going to make it out of this. Not when he reads you like a damn book.
“When he said you were let go without a scratch,” Hotch presses. “What did he mean?”
You shake your head. “Nothing. He meant nothing by it.”
“Really?” Hotch continues. “If it was nothing, you wouldn’t be trying to flee this room.”
You blink and realize you’re much closer to the door than you thought, your hand reaching behind you for the door knob. You stop, dropping your hand.
“He mentioned your father,” Hotch says evenly. “But wouldn’t give us a name. Why?”
“Ask him,” you growl. “Ask him these questions since he knows me so well.”
“I’m asking you.”
“What?” you yell. “What the hell do you want from me, Hotch?” There are tears pricking your eyes and you hate it. You hate him. “Now is not the time to go digging through my past just because you have it out for me. I get it, okay? I get that I am the last person on this planet that you wanted to join your team. Believe me, you are the last person I wanted to be working under. But these are the cards we were dealt, alright? So I’d appreciate it if you’d just for once in your sorry, stubborn little life show me some goddamn mercy and leave this alone.”
A tear has escaped that you wipe away quickly, pissed that you let it fall in the first place.
Whatever expression he wears, you can’t read it. “If you’re connected to this case, I need to know. If there’s anything—”
“I would’ve fucking told you already,” you hiss, ready to punch him square on the nose. “I told you to drop it. I can’t do this right now.”
His phone rings, saving him from attempting to say anything else that you might want to deck him for. Thankfully, Hotch answers it.
“Hotchner. Hey Rossi,” he watches you as he talks. And he freezes. “What? Where? How?”
“What happened?” You surge forward, trying to get closer to listen to the call.
Hotch pulls his phone away from his ear and puts it on speaker. Rossi’s voice rushes through.
“An ambulance is taking her to the hospital, but she seems alright,” Rossi says. “We’re going with her.”
“Good, don’t let her leave your sight,” Hotch says. “Are the police canvassing the area?”
“Doing everything they can to look for him.”
“Good. We’re coming to join them.”
You look at Hotch wildly, not exactly excited for sitting in a car with him for hours searching the area for who kidnapped Lila. Not to mention, you seem to be the only one who knows damn well that whoever it was is long gone by now. There’s no way he’s sticking around, or that he’d be dumb enough to turn himself in like Richard.
“We’re not gonna find him,” you mutter.
Both Hotch and Rossi stop talking. “What?” Hotch asks.
“We’re not going to find him,” you repeat. “He’s long gone.”
Both men are quiet. You and Hotch stare at each other. He knows it, too. He knows it’s the truth.
But still, you canvas the area. You sit in the passenger seat as Hotch drives, less reckless than usual. You know it’s no use. You also understand the feeling of guilt that would’ve come if you didn’t at least try.
+++
Lila is sitting up in the hospital bed looking perfectly healthy and intact when you arrive with Hotch. Mrs. Monroe wraps you in a tight hug the second she sees you.
“Thank you,” she says. “For bringing my baby back to me.”
You politely thank her, telling her the entire team helped. You offer a smile to Lila who returns it with a little nod.
You ask some questions, but truthfully, Lila is okay. Shaken up, but she says nothing bad happened. You’re not sure if she’s blocking it out and will one day remember, but all that seems to matter is that she’s back with her mom, and the two appear to be on better terms.
Unsurprisingly, the man who had Lila didn’t tell her his name. He let her see his face, though, which is odd. Bold of him. Hotch makes sure the police know to get a sketch artist to see Lila for a full picture.
Hotch asks as pointed behavior questions as he can, but again, Lila says it was fine. He was irritated, grumpy. Seemed to be waiting on something, but didn’t say what. She was in a house not far from here, in the basement. The police have already swarmed it, but it’s empty, of course. They’re collecting evidence, but Hotch isn’t sure what they’ll find, if anything.
Richard Monroe will keep his deal of life in prison, not the death penalty, if he continues to cooperate. The police seem to hope that with the sketch and Lila’s descriptions, Richard might recognize the guy. Or maybe his face will pop up in the FBI’s database, and Richard can answer questions about him. Until any of that happens, though, Richard remains in custody. And still wants to see his daughter.
You’re not sure if Mrs. Monroe will allow it. Your mom didn’t.
You still don’t know if you wish she would’ve or not. Some days you’re glad she didn’t. Others, like today, you wish she had. There are so many questions you don’t have answers to. So many that you know you’ll never get them all.
