”you hung me on your wall; stabbed me with your push pins” luke treated silena like a perfect statue. she would do whatever she wanted, but in the end, she was just that. his favorite statue, his favorite doll.

again i say “were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?” because WHO THE FUCK would do someone like that to her. silena must have killed someone in a past life to deserve the way luke treated her. the way everyone fucking treated her.

“and you’ll confess why you did it, and i’ll say ‘good riddance’” why did luke do that? what excuse could he POSSIBLE have?

“i would’ve died for your sins, instead i just died inside” because silena sacrificed EVERYTHING for luke. only to be stabbed in the back.

“and you deserve prison, but you won’t get time” in the end, luke was treated like a true hero, but do heroes treat people like he treated silena?

“you kicked out the stage lights, but you’re still performing” he did so much fucking shit but it’s okay cause he died a hero, right? and people still remember him as one.

“and in plain sight you hid, but you are what you did” nobody ever talked about what he did to silena. nobody talks about it, but it still happened.

hey btw if you're in the USA at  2:20 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 4, they're testing the emergency broadcast system. your phone is probably going to make a really loud noise, even if it's on silent. there's a backup date on the 11th if they need to postpone it.

if you're not in a safe situation and have an extra phone, you should turn that phone completely off beforehand.

additionally, if you're like me, and are easily startled; i recommend treating it like a party. have a countdown or something. be surrounded by your loved ones. take the actions you personally need to take to make yourself safe.

i have already seen mockery towards any person who feels nervous about this. for the record, it completely, completely valid to have "emergency broadcast sounds" be an anxiety trigger. do not let other people make fun of you for that. emergency sounds are legitimately engineered to make us take action; those of us with high levels of anxiety and/or neurodivergence are already pre-disposed to have a Bad Time. sometimes it is best to acknowledge that the situation will be triggering for some, and to prepare for that; rather than just saying "well that's stupid, it's just a test."

"loud scary sound time" isn't like, my favorite thing, but we can at least try to prevent some additional anxiety by preparing for it. maybe get yourself a cake? noise cancelling headphones? the new hozier album? whatever helps. love u, hope you're okay. we are gonna ride it out together.

and if I said that dennis’ insistence on being the breadwinner/provider despite literally being a pampered princess who dgaf about traditional roles of masculinity in every other regard (aside from ego) is because his mom only stayed with/chose frank for his wealth and dennis is highly aware that he’s difficult to love and unable to show his emotions openly so he has to be contributing something to the relationship materially in order to feel like he’s worth staying for… and mac grew up with parents who were extremely ambivalent to him and eachother so he has to overcompensate by proving his worth at every given moment and seeking praise/validation from people (and religious icons) who will never demonstrate the same amount of dedication to him but he has no idea how else to desperately keep himself close to those he loves other than by eroding himself into something they’ll approve of… dear god they’re both exactly what the other needs — someone who can’t and won’t leave them even if they try — and they don’t even see it…
