Hey y’all! Here are some cute notes that I’ve been taking for Italian!! I absolutely love learning the language so much and, since Italy is basically embedded into my heart, it doesn’t even feel like I’m studying it and instead it’s just this beautiful and heartfelt passion of mine that brings my heart so much joy. That being said, I’ve been learning it in different ways including online researches, turning Duolingo into my absolute best friend (I try to sneak in lots of practices whenever I’m not doing anything that requires focus like when I’m in bed, sitting outside in nature, chilling on the couch, and so on), using Quizlet fervently (it’s so good for on the go practices), books, music, movies and films, translating random phrases that comes to my head into these miniature colorful papers, and through talking with natives on HelloTalk and also with my two Italian friends!! I also changed the language on my phone into Italian and it’s so amazing because I get to learn new words and I’ve adjusted to it so quickly that it feels so natural now! It’s honestly such a fun and beautiful language to learn and, everyday that I get to wake up, I always feel so grateful that I get another chance to study it! After all, my Italian adventures are awaiting for me in the distant future. I hope y’all are having a lovely start of the week!! 🤍✨

summer studying challenge | friday, september 4, 2020;
when you remember this summer, what three adjectives will you think of that define your summer?
ngl… i was pretty sad this summer bc of the all the uncertainty we are in, but on a positive note i think the summer was a period of reflection, liberation, and growth. here’s to the future ✨
#notes#i think my summer was lonely anxious and stressful#lots of uncertainty heading into the fall but i'm hopeful it'll be better with the beach season over

i painted again today, but this time it’s purely watercolor with no ink drawings on it. i only have six colors so i played around with it a lot to come up with different shades of red, yellow and green. quite happy with how this turned out. i was less stiff, less thinking what the strokes would be, what colors to combine, what shapes to form, etc. i just let my hand move on its own.

So much on my mind, (Since I came alive), Back in ‘95 // 5 September 2020
Some code from yesterday for my first SAS assignment and some flowers at the park on my walk.
We had a rough night. My roommate ended up having to go to the hospital (she’s doing okay now and it’s not COVID) and I got maybe 4 hours of sleep. So I’m giving myself a pass for work today and ordering takeout.

journal series: some old journal entires because why not? I have about a month before autumn quarter/senior year starts so I’m just trying to fill the days and savor this assignment-free time. I’ve also been going to group therapy (remotely of course) and I guess its been fine so far. I hope you’re doing okay.

my second semester starts on monday, and while i’m disappointed that i won’t be able to attend classes in person, i’m very excited for my philosophy of religion module. i’m getting a head start by reading and annotating the class notes and reviewing previous epistemology notes on religion.

07 Jul 2020 🌖 Hiragana practice
a little more than a week into work, and i’m starting to slip. getting up early’s becoming harder for me to do, but i’m trying my best. i’ll be getting my first paycheck on the 15th. it won’t be much, but i’m still really excited! aside from work, though, i’m making progress in my other projects, and i’m feeling really happy about it atm. hopefully i succeed in keeping everything balanced.

july 1, 2020 - take your time
hi hello! i’m finally back at it again. it feels weird to post normal content amidst everything that’s going on in the world, but i’m still doing what i can to stay informed and help others. i made this spread last week! i drew more doodles this time. the one on the bottom left is from the lyric video for the english version of “zombie” by day6. i also haven’t shared a playlist in a while, so here’s what i’ve been listening to lately!
how are you all doing? i hope your summer/winter is off to a good start! as always, stay safe and take care. 💕
