Really fucked up that two ppl can care about each other and make their best efforts to communicate and still end up hurting each other so badly they cannot stand to be in the same room.

#my stuff #i feel soooo bad talking to my therapist about the same topics over multiple weeks #like i feel like they're sooo sick of it like damn can this bitch get Over It alreadyyyy #hi yes actually can we talk about the near catastrophic sense of betrayal and loss that has haunted my soul for over a month?#can we talk about how I overcompensate for other's possible feelings and emotions to desperately mask my terror at feeling out of control #can we talk about how even when I know ppl acted with logical reasons necessary for their situation it still hurt me?#and that this pain fills me up with so much anger and frustration that I'm powerless to put anywhere that won't hurt someone #so it just cooks me inside and makes me grind my teeth constantly for weeks #im so angry i did not deserve to be treated like this it's not fair and I have no capacity to fix it or control when it feels better #i just have to survive and wait until i forget about it and hope they don't decide to reach out and fuck it all up #cause i can see that happening #i'll finally be free of thinking about them and generally going about my day unbothered and they'll ask to get coffee or something #and I have no idea what I should do in that scenario. because I don't think we can be friends.#and you have not treated me with the compassion and warmth I treated you #i would want to say mean things. hurtful things. i saw a video of an autistic guy speaking abt his experience with his trust and kindness being taken advantage of, not bc he can’t identify red flags necessarily, but bc he gives everyone an unconditional benefit of the doubt. he said that apparently most ppl don’t think this way, and for autistic ppl that struggle w gullibility, we have to assume the worst abt ppl and then let them prove us wrong

and tbh that stung in a way i still have a hard time wrapping my head around. what a hellish life either way

i think the first sign of madness you guys have no idea about was when back in march i was playing assassin's creed odyssey and i usually listen to the music when i play so i made myself a "gaming playlist" and it was 8h long and half of it was... overcompensate

Actually very funny that in the Only Band In the World the author was (affectionately) like "yeah so the clique is basically a cult but it's cool it's fun" and we also joke amongst ourselves about being a cult & now we're getting a bunch of letters from random Dema citizens (/banditos) who sound like they've started/are recruiting for an underground revolutionary movement which heavily idolizes Clancy, who in-lore is responsible for all the music we've been hearing, in a way you could perhaps consider cult-like in the same way some people consider irl music fandom to be cult-like. Aria and Barea and Jansen you're just like me for real

#random thoughts #fallout #unfortunately nora compels me #the fact the 'hi honey!' tape specifically mentions her 'shaking the dust off' her law degree is interesting #like she gave up her job to stay at home with her husband and kid. why?#like that's a whole year. at LEAST.#love the idea of nate pressuring her into it <3 maternity leave turns into 'isnt it so nice being with sean around the clock?'#'too bad you won't have this quality time when you return to work'#turns into 'you can always return to work if you feel like it but we DO have a lot saved up . . .'#and it's like. okay so fallout 4 would be so much better if it were set in the 1960s. literally no reason it shouldnt be #yknow beyond complying with lore which. it isnt that faithful to in the first place #i just think it's weird the game is like 'here's the FUTURE' and then it's like 'here's the FUTURE FUTURE'#anyway make it the 1960s. give me time-appropriate fucked up family dynamics #and nora's a laywer and a feminist who promised herself she'd never compromise her career for a man #and nate seemed so NICE and like he understood until uh oh. frog in a slow cooker #and he makes everything seem like it's her idea until she's barefoot in the kitchen with a screaming baby on her hip and burnt food in a pan #and she doesn't even realize she's trapped until it's too late. isolated from friends and family #idk ill do more research later to make it more time-accurate (ESPECIALLY interested in second-wave feminism)#anyway i think she cheats. with a door-to-door salesman selling places in the bomb shelters #(honestly probably the only adult social interaction she's had in weeks beyond her husband)#i like to think at some point she had a bit of a car accident due to the stress so nate took her keys #probably just a minor fender bender he blew out of proportion but she believes it because oh god what if she hurt sean #her feelings toward sean are complicated. i dont think she quite loves him which she feels guilty about so she overcompensates #with trying to keep him as safe as possible and she feels like he KNOWS and HATES her #(honestly when the bombs drop everything happens so quickly and when she's in the future and registers sean's gone she feels. so relieved)#(followed by heavy shame)#nate sabotaged her birth control btw. love evil 1960s patriarchs #never outright stated but heavily implied!#anyway nora in the future (while she felt very progressive for her time) feels very out of place #like her ideals have no place. like she has no place

#ada speaks #i think i could probably recite the entire one sided phone conversation he has with daisy by heart and i havent seen the ep in months #i don't know how to explain it but #from what little ive read of ross' writing it feels like. when you click onto a fanfic and you feel immediate deep trust of the author #like it just clicks #the cookbook characterization specifically. is like.#i would put my life in your hands #and im sure we will get more eps by him and i really hope that continues because i think its been a very long time since the shows had #writers that i feel Get the characters in a way that feels effortless rather than. overcompensating.#like you can smell that writer's signature no matter how hard they try to cover it up with jokes and subversions #which isnt always a bad thing and im sure if we do get more maloney eps i'll pick up on his writers quirks too #but it doesn't feel like he's trying to copy anyone/pull from old eps it feels like he has a good grasp on things which makes it feel fresh #i find that long running shows hit a point where episodes start to feel less cohesive and more like. segmented short films #but if you have a really good group of writers and they find their groove its like. yeah. ok.#i think season 3 is a good study because marder and rosell's influence is all over the entire season #later seasons you can literally just. Feel which eps they worked on because its got a completely different vibe from the rest of the season #16 still suffers from that segmentation but #i think all the first time sunny writers (and nina's first solo ep) were all absolutely fuckin bangers and they've got a good team in there #anyway. characterization of dennis flipflops a lot. but the rest of the gang arguably gets it worse at times #i think megan's dee is the absolute worst aside from conor galvin's #and i understand wanting to write her as a girlfailure who is just. horrible. but.#ok. comparing self help book dee to ross' cookbook dee. i dont even have to say anything do i.#she's like. The Woman. in the self help book. and i fucking could not stand it. ross' dee is so perfect though #and his frank. MAN.#EVERYONE FUCKING RUINS FRANK.#i think marder and rosell's frank is a lot of fun because hes clearly based on marder's dad and acts believably #a lot of writers struggle to capture his. frank-ness.#he's sort of suffered from like. bland pervy senile old man writing for a long time #and ross brought back him actually being a competent businessman #IM OUT OF TAGS IM SHUTTING UP

Honestly I think it’s very fortunate that Dism’s team isn’t *entirely* comprised of lucid dreamers.

#just pav things #they’re teenagers that haven’t lived with using their powers their whole lives. they have no innate control over it #They’re FAR more likely to push themselves psychologically because of their emotional issues #And they don’t know when too far is. So they face their punishments for overtaxing themselves as a result ✨#And like. Dism wants to play hero and be the MOST useful so he overcompensates and takes on too much #Doesn’t delegate tasks/responsibility in battle to anyone else at all #And because he’s wielding that persona Inigo also overcompensates because he doesn’t want Dism to get injured #something something lingering thoughts of Archie y’know ✨#And the poor coordination that Dism and Inigo both have in Arcs 1-3.5 means Idyllia #who secretly feels she’s done a terrible job of protecting the people she cares about her whole life #then uses her healing powers to an unnecessarily high degree #because there is one borderline-suicidal not-even-dodge-tanking-as-supposed-to idiot and #trying-to-fulfill-a-misguided-social-agenda idiot 🌈#What are the ultimate results of this?#Well you have ~75% of the party who are barely holding onto this plane of existence #Dism who can barely walk or speak because he can’t *time* any movements of his body correctly #Idyllia who’s left generally shaky weak and extremely fatigued— her life and vitality disappearing into vapid traces #And Inigo who loses his senses and any bearing on reality at all. Even the most basic tasks unintuitive to him #The chances of a TPKO would be absolutely certain if not for Cynthia being able to nurse and protect them while they’re recovering 😭❤️#Honestly they are coasting by on a LOT of luck and it shows #If the end of Arc 2 was any indication…..#They do get better though <3 #And that’s how they manage to pull off the successful rescue operations for Idyllia and Archie later :D We love some good teamwork :)#Now you may be thinking— how does this same concept pertain to Archie’s kids?#Theon exhibits the same symptoms as Inigo… or that’s what I would say #He’s so scared of repeating history’s mistakes that he only uses his intuition for guiding his aim and not anything like #scanning for weaknesses or seeing the future. ESPECIALLY THE LATTER #So Theon actually doesn’t tax himself much at all #Consequences for Ewan include a sheer rejection of rationality and logic and positivity #Too much light is blinding! Leaving him blind to everything but his baser impulses
