“I’ve heard trains, Malcolm. I’ve also heard bullshit, and I can tell you which one you sound like right now, and it isn’t a train.”

Link wouldn’t fall asleep—he would not—not with Sheik standing there looking so smug with those red eyes on him; that was definitely a smirk under that mask, and if Link wasn’t such a nice guy he’d have something snarky to say about it after this huge yawn.

“I’m going to win again,” Sheik said with even smirkier eyes—“that’s yawn seventeen and it’s only 3:51 am.”

Link made a face—“How the heck do you know it’s exactly- WHAT?!” Link cried as he watched a stone with a weeping eye rocket itself into the air, Sheik remaining unreasonably calm as it did; Link had to be dreaming (and had therefore already lost), so he shrugged, closed the distance between them, gently tugged that pesky mask down, and kissed Sheik—and got a nasty palm-strike to the chest: “YOU DON’T ASK FIRST?!”

Epilogue: “NO FLIRTING, NO WARNING, NO NOTHING?!” “I thought I was asleep!” “What, you only kiss in your sleep?” “Yes! NO!” “I’ve never had a boyfriend who wouldn’t kiss me while conscious.”  “That’s not- wait, what?” “We’re still playing, by the way.”

Every now and then when I’m reading a romance novel and the big love confession is soooo lackluster I’m reminded that some of the best confessions I’ve read were from the weirdest places. Like Kaz’s “I would have come for you. And if I couldn’t walk, I’d crawl to you” which isn’t technically a confession but entirely is or from The Selection (such a horrid series and yet), “Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.” Or Cardan writing a dozen letters, saying “come be angry at a nearer distance.” Or dear god even Bridgerton’s confessions are better than nearly every romance I’ve ever read. I mean, “you are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires”?? Smacks. But this girl is becoming a puddle over “I guess I love you more than I hate your father”? Pleeeease.

What is it about love confessions in non-romance novels that makes them just so much better??

i think one of the funniest things i saw on twt were people like guys :( tbbo doesn't know about the labor violations because he's been live this whole time for the subathon like when would he even check twitter to see the news and we can't tell him and ruin his mood like he'd be devastated so it's okay to just let him play and its like truly what make believe world are you living in

More steb fencing au, this time involving someone you don't like 

when you have to fence someone you dont like, steb always makes sure to ref (referee) your matches. maybe hes a little biased and hands out a few more yellow cards to your opponent... but they deserve it ok

when he can, he always tries to fence in your place if you have to go against the person you don't like. 

steb is always a little protective over you, but it's especially obvious whenever you even have to stand near the person you don't like. his expressions are always cold and he stands in a way that sort of blocks you from the person. he can be surprisingly petty.

if you have to fence the person you don't like and it goes badly, steb will cheer you up in whatever way he can. small touches and soft words on the sidelines, taking you out for ice cream after so you can complain and rant about that person... and going against that person to teach them a lesson

if today's group is small and it's just you two and the person you don't like, steb will offer to do drills with you instead so you don't have to fence that person.
