A Sonic AU based on the song Aura by Ghost and Pals

It follows Amy as she investigates a series of disappearances, including the disappearance of her childhood friend and crush Sonic, and tries to find the cause of a strange "fog disease" that is plagueing her village at night, using her fortune cards to guide her

The disease drives people mad and changes them, even turning some into beasts. She believes it's connected to the disappearances, and that Sonic may have been afflicted, which is why he went missing in the first place

Tails would join her in her investigation as he is Sonic's brother and has been trying to find him with no results. He also wants to learn more about said disease to hopefully find some kind of cure to help the rest of the village

(The "fog disease" is of course dark gaia energy. I literally cannot listen to that song without thinking about dark gaia energy when I hear the words "fog disease" like it's literally purple smoke that makes ppl act weird and turned Sonic into a werehog like. How could I not make that connection (<- i am not normal))

Alright guys, if you have any requests for my vampire Fiddleford and werewolf Stan AU (which you can find here, it's called Eldritch Falls) then chuck it in the comments and/or ask box and/or reblogs!

A few details about the AU under the cut:

Stan got turned as a kid when him and Ford first found the Stan O War (yes I am writing this)

Fiddleford got turned a short while before going to college and meeting Ford

Fiddleford had a sort of one sided attraction to Ford in college and while working on the portal (yep, writing this one too!)

There's a multiversal gay bar in Gravity Falls where Ford and Fiddleford met Eda, because fuck the timeline (I should probably write their past when they first all met)

Some toxic Billford maybe?

Stan and Fiddleford met after the portal incident

Fiddleford keeps Stan from doing too much harm on full moons and helps out with trying to work out where Ford is

Bill works by fae rules so he can't break his deals but he can exploit any loophole

While on the Boiling Isles, trying to protect Eda in a chase, Stan was hit by a coven member's spell. He couldn't figure out who it was, but Eda hurriedly told him that the person who cast the spell was wearing a cloak. and a white mask, so they assumed he was a member of the emperor's coven.

Unfortunately, the next day, Stan wakes up feeling the effects of a curse.

Thanks to his research on the boiling islands, Stan managed to discover that the curse he had was similar to Eda's, only instead of being the Owl beast, it is one with a shape silmilar to that of a werewolf, Lupinotuum pectinem mortis. (or as Stan called him, Lupin) is a mysterious entity that acts as the avatar of his own curse.

He dwells in those afflicted by his curse, often appearing to his victims within their subconscious when the curse is in effects

Unlike Eda's curse, Stan's curse is "easier to control," in Eda's words.

Lupinotuum pectinem mortis, true to its name translated as "Werewolf of Death", is a robust, bipedal creature with a werewolf appearance.

He has a thick coat of dirty looking silver fur, large paws, sharp claws and long tail.

His head resembles that of a common wolf, with a circular golden mark with a small circle, resembling a fish eating something, with hollow black eyes and large fangs.

In the mindscape, he has an astonishing height that dwarfs Stanley, but when he weakens, Lupine reverts to a smaller, childlike form and is less than half Stan's size.

Nothing is known about this creature, beyond the basics, that elixirs counteract the curse, its weaknesses are to oversaturate its senses of smell, hearing and sight, it will behave aggressively unless it senses security and the smell of members of its pack. .

What Stan doesn't know is that Eda knows the truth about his curse, but that information is "not important."

No se sabe nada sobre esta criatura, más allá de lo básico, que los elixires contrarrestan la maldición, sus debilidades son sobresaturar sus sentidos del olfato, oído y vista, se comportara agresivo a menos que perciba seguridad y el olor de miembros de su manada.

For the Monster High AU would you be willing to explain the thought process behind your species selection? Like why you made Eda a werewolf instead of a harpy, or why you plan to make Amity a vampire?

I have played with this AU idea before, but never actually done anything with it. Just figured out what monsters the characters would be.

I could post spoilers on what monsters I plan to make the others so I can explain my thought process:

I made Eda a werewolf instead of a harpy simply because there are no relevant harpy characters. In all of Monster High, there's only one harpy and she's a background character (not even a side character like Venus, Rochelle, or Robecca). There WAS also a harpy in the "Make Your Own Monster" set but she's not an actual character in the show and looked completely different than the other harpy girl. I wouldn't even know what to do for a design.

Meanwhile, werewolves are SUPER important to the Monster High franchise. One of the original three girls is a werewolf, two of her werewolf siblings are reoccurring characters with a lot of focus on them, and the second movie is entirely focused on werewolves and vampires.

I didn't have a werewolf in the main cast yet so I thought Eda would fit since she has a transformation like how werewolves do on a full moon, she's good at sports like how werewolves are shown to be, and her name has "Claw" in it.

Amity is a vampire because rich and snobby

Willow is a plant monster for obvious reasons

Gus is a zombie because he's intelligent but taken advantage of by others

Hunter is Frankenstein's (Belos's) monster because he was created in the likeness of another person

Lilith is a werewolf like Eda

Raine is a ghost/phantom because they're shy, secretive, and play music

Darius is a gorgon (Medusa monster) because he has magic hair that's alive

Aladaor, Odalia, and the twins are vampire for the same reason as Amity

Vee is the same

so the other night I had a dream about an AU where Eda and Raine swapped places and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it so:

- Raine was called something like "The Fox Witch" — a cursed bard who travels the Isles with nothing but a mysterious portal door and a song in their heart. Luz ran into them after crossing the portal and ended up staying with them as their apprentice.

- Eda was a wild witch of wide renown attempting to stage a rebellion against the Emperor. She still lived in the Owl House and was still called The Owl Lady, but I can't remember if King was still with her here or not?

- And Darius was..... honestly pretty much the same except he now took on the same role as Lilith, narratively

- Raine's curse became the Fox Beast, which I honestly think was just my brain's way of turning Raine into a sick werewolf, lol
