Ok so HOW did Emily and the Hatbox Ghost adopt Baby Boo in my own fanon contuinity !

He came in the afterlives of the happy haunts around the late 1990's. Yet another sad Mother's Day for the couple who were hurting themselves but couldn't help but stare sadly sitting on a bench at all the other ghosts, adults or children, giving gifts to their mothers if they were lucky to be haunted together in the Mansion (Victor to May, Little Leota to Madame Leota, the Ghost Host, Master Gracey and Constance to Abigaile Patecleaver, the Tightrope Girl to April-December, the Duelists to Aunt Lucrecia etc). They are empty and depressed, watching others have what they think the never will. Hattie tells Emily she shouldn't hurt herself and go back to the attic, but since it was when Hattie was still banished in the graveyard she doesn't want to leave him handle this alone, in sadness together

In the end of the night as the sun rises, most ghosts go back to sleep, she in the attic and he in his grave. Most of the day is quiet when somebody knocks at the door. The ghosts closest to it who heard it open the door expecting a mortal to scare away, but stop in their track seeing sitting there is a cooing baby boy who tries to reach with a letter sticking out of his diaper. Urgent meeting in the middle of the day, Master Gracey and Ghost Host discuss where he can come from, Madame Leota tries to locate and ask the Other Side if they know, the Tightrope girl reads the letter "I've been trying for 15 months, I thought I could try with parenthood, I can't do it anymore, name him or not, keep him or not, I don't care" which saddens a bit the atmosphere, other curious ghosts such as Emily surround and listen and debate such as wondering why would someone abandon their baby there while mortals know this house is officially abandonned, therefore conclude it must have been someone traveling from another state or region to abandon him as far as possible and unaware of the mansion's history. As everybody starts discussing what to do with him and how to manage to discreetly leave him at a mortal house or an orphanage, Emily picks him up to look at him "well poor you, left out just like that". Baby looks at her and opens his arms "mama !" INSTANT LOVE, THESE WORDS PIECE HER HEART. As the Ghost Host concludes they will have to investigate and sends away the werecat lady who can turn into a human to see by herself where safe he could be left, he says someone will have to take care of him in the meantime. Emily immediately offers herself, which is allowed

She happily runs outside to the Hatbox Ghost who is trying and failing yet again to sneak in. "Look, honey ! Can we keep him ?" "WE WHAT !?!?!" and he falls from the tree he was climbing. She explains him the whole situation and that she felt an instant connection and offered herself to keep him in the meantime, and that it could be as close as they could get to experience parenthood at last ! Hatbox Ghost is really not sure, it's a mortal baby and it's sudden, and not theirs anyway and only meant to be temporary so what's the use, but she insists so much he accepts reluctantly. Oh but right, they need to feed him if he needs to live, she eagerly leaves him with him as she says she will "borrow" food and supplies from mortal shops, and drags 3 or 4 other beating heart brides with her whether they like it or not "I WAS PLAYING A GAME-". So he awkwardly finds himself with that baby. He glares at him uninterested as fuck and teies to speak to him like an adult "Well. Here we are. Don't get too attached because she got, or that will make both of us upset." And he tries to convince others to keep him for him but none want, all fearing to hurt such fragile life they forgot how to handle. As he gets annoyed, he starts smelling something horrible. Just pooped his diaper. OH DAMMIT... and he can't just leave him like that or he will cry. With what can he change him !? He awkwardly knocks at the door and met first with disdain, he explains the situation which is "smelly" understood. He is given powder and towels and with a pin and a white drape that sure won't be used like a drape anymore make him an old fashioned style of diaper (the best he can at least). "There. Clean. Ugh that's a part of mortality I didn't miss". When suddenly baby opens his arms and goes "dada !" HIS HEART MELTS INSTANTLY. As Emily and the brides return with supplies, he finally shares her enthusiasm. That's a sign. They are finally given a chance ! He needs clothes, she got him pretty much a lot. But once in the attic he rather choose a big old turtleneck sweater the Corpse Bride liked to wear to be cozy out of her wedding dress. "Hey it's mine-" EMILY GLARES "Ok it's his" and Emily sews it back is struggling to build a baby bed outside that willxhave to be brought inside by another since he's banished, but they just keep gushing about him to all the brides' confusion and the worry of Master Gracey who knows they got attached too fast

Cue a montage of the ghost couple feeding him making faces, helping him walk since he's at that age, vainly trying to make him speak "say mommy !" "Mama" "close enough", the Hatbox Ghost playing "Where's daddy" with his head disappeared from his shoulders which intrigue the baby then his head in his hatbox goes "there he is !" cues baby laughter, him waking up in the night and Emily rocking him and gently lulling him back to sleep (it helps not to have to sleep anymore), the Hatbox Ghost carrying him in a sling as he shows him the graves and telling him what they say, they play with him with toys and plushies, they try to get frisky but remember he is next to them so they stop etc. They even decide to name him, Thomas Alistair Pace. All under the concerned looks of Madame Leota and the Ghost Host who know that from the moment they gave him a name, this is gonna be hard

And indeed. After a week or 2, in the garden, the couple are playing cops and bandits with him, Emily trying to look for them with a watergun "where are these bandits at ?" And Hattie and Thomas still in his sling hidden behind a tree both wearing these cliché bandit black masks on, Hattie gently hushing at him who is giggling. She finds them "ah-ha !" "Oh nooo, the beautiful policewoman caught us, son ! I hope she is single !" and cues laughters and gushes about what a cute little bandit he is. When what they feared arrive, the werecat returns "good news ! I found a legal way to put him away in a loving home, I finally found the closest local orphanage and they are interested to see him !" The Ghost Host takes it as good news and announces it happily to the couple. Who are mortified. "Now, give him to the werecat girl". Emily immediately goes defensive holding him against her "no ! He's ours !" Which makes things uneasy around. Little Leota tries to reason her, he's a mortal, he will grow up, he needs to be with other mortals not ghosts, but she and Hattie don't want. He is THEIR son. Just like the Ghost Host fears. He and Little Leota try to reason them. He will have mortal needs ! Baths, food and water all the time ! Anything that won't kill them could kill him ! But they insist they will be careful and were so far. But now he firmly orders. Hand over the baby. They sigh and accept, Emily offering to just change him in the attic first which is accepted, and she feigns hugging the Ghost Host for comfort and to thank him (I remind people he is her uncle in my fanon)

The Ghost Host waits in the hall, and it takes a lot of time. He gets impatient. When suddenly, he sees Emily running down the stairs with a buggy with the still bandit-masked baby in it and runs through the door and the Hatbox Ghost who was waiting right outside slams it shut. "Wh- EMILY ! RANDALL PACE ! COME HERE BOTH OF YOU IMMEDIATELY !" Ghosts may be able to pass through walls, they need to use the door of a house only to go in and out, so he tries to open it... it's locked ! Emily had pickpocketed him out of the key to the mansion and discreetly left it to Hattie who closed it behind them, put it around Thomas' neck so it will be easier to find it, and run away. Ghost Host is furious soon joined by Master Gracey and others who all try to demolish the door until a knight armor comes and straight up cuts it in 2 with his axe. A ghost patrol now to find the runaway family !

Hatbox Ghost and Emily are wandering around in the night, trying to find a way to hide and if needed haunt forever there far away from the mansion that first wanted them apart and now wants to take their child away. They won't let it happen ! They took the bare minimum in the compartment of the buggy, and try to find for a new place all while hidind and trying to keep Thomas quiet whenever they spot a ghost (and any mortal walking there is horrified, the town is infested in spirits !)

Finally, they get run after by Master Gracey and the Ghost Host, until they are trapped on top of a cliff, and none of them are ghost who can float or at least without turning into a little smoke/light that can't carry anything so they are stuck with the buggy, Emily holding him protectively against her again and Hatbox Ghost protective and fierce as shit standing before them facing the 2 owners of the Mansion ready to fuck them up with his cane if they approach, and warns them not to come closer or he'll fight for eternity if needed. Said owners try to reason them again, Thomas is mortal and deserves a normal life until living with the dead, it is not natural. Emily retorts nothing proves he would get adopted it well treated and could perhaps be left alone with no family and no love while they could give him that

So the 2 leaders insist that real love should be about letting him go, because how will they handle it when he will grow ? Even if they do manage to feed him and keep him clean education is not just about that. In order to keep the secret of ghosts he will have to live away from the living forever, growing up lonely without friends of his age growing at the same time as him with needs evolving like his own, society not even knowing he exists, and won't be able to do achieve whatever dream he has. They start to look concerned realizing they didn't think of that. The Masters of the house add to that that if they don't hide him and do register him to school or something, he would never be able to invite friends over, and it would be impossible for him to never be seen with his parents and nobody but him coming in and out of the mansion. A mansion that is known for being abandonned. Authorities could conclude he is a homeless orphan living in an abandonned house faking his life and take him away from them which would break his heart more than if he is taken now ! They look more concerned and guilty... And finally, they add that even if all is well, he could still be bullied and seen as weird because he would not be a normal kid. He would be way too familiar with death and magic which could make his socializing awkward and he could firmly believe ghosts exist and be mocked for that since most mortals don't believe in those, and he would be even more lonely than if he were locked in there. So really, the better is to let him go with mortals who could give him a better life

Emily and Hattie look at each other sadly, and agree. They can't do that. They love Thomas, so he deserves the best. They put him back in his buggy behind them on the edge and turn to Hosty and Gracey and apologize, and just... how much they were happy to finally feel like parents. The 2 bosses understand and try to be as gentle about it as they can, and tell them that perhaps they could always adopt a nany ghost. But they say now they knew Thomas, no baby would ever replace him. So, somber and holding each other's hand, tearfully, they accept to surrender him if it means giving him a chance at a life that could be normal, easier and better

But just at this moment they hear a shrill baby scream of fear behind them. They turn... horror, the wind had risen, and pushed the buggy slightly close enough to the edge to trip and fall ! The 4 ghosts horrified RUSH but see nothing but rocks and waves, it crashed underwater. Emily and the Hatbox Ghost shout "NOOO ! NOOOOOO !" and cry hard, their baby is dead. Emily falls on her knees face in her hands and the Hatbox Ghost angrily turns to the 2 other ghosts he usually fears shaking them by the collars "MY SON IS DEAD ! HE COULD HAVE A LIFE BUT HE IS DEAD ! HE'S ON THE OTHER SIDE NOW AND NONE OF US WILL EVER SEE HIM AGAIN BECAUSE OF BOTH OF YOU AND YOUR STUPID PROTOCOL !" but as nobody is watching down the cliff anymore, they all stop as they hear a little "boo !". They all spring up, and here is Thomas, blue and transparent, floating above the cliff. He turned into a ghost ! Babies usually are free of torments and unachieved businesses so don't turn into ghosts but he did ! Hattie and Emily gasp with the biggest emotional joy and rush to him, hugging him tightly as they sob, as he coos, forever wearing that little mask, that sweater and a ghost version of the key. The Ghost Host and Master Gracey turn to each other, baffled, but smile and shrug

Epilogue, the Mariner had dived back to retrieve both the keys (the Ghost Host now will hide in a safer place) and the little corpse that is now buried between his parents, and the Hatbox Ghost and Emily happily register papers to the ghost administration representative Madame Leota had summoned for the occasion (an OC I should design and name). Birth certificate with a date they picked corresponding to his age, death certificate, adoption papers with his name and ghost name if he has which they think of before opting for "Baby Boo" because it's cute and because it was his first word as a ghost, alright he is theirs. They rejoice, and so do the Ghost Host meaning there is a new happy haunt to add and is now ready to open himself to like him, like the other brides and most ghosts who are now happy for the attic couple who finally had what everybody knew they wanted for so long

Her son’s snake - Lukadrien June Day 21+28

Ok so a little late but I managed to finish it! It’s actually 999 words, which I feel is fitting to the Monster High AU this is. I combined Monster and In Law to make this fic of Adrien’s mom just witnessing how fluffy Adrien and Luka are together. Enjoy Monster In Law (literal monster)

Emilie watched Adrien play with the snakes in Luka’s hair. They nipped at his fingers, making him giggle, backing off when Luka whistled. She knew from conversation that they were blue rock rattlesnakes, which were venomous, but Adrien was never in need of medical attention whenever they nipped at him. They always listened to Luka’s whistle if they started getting to over excited and seemed to love trying to nestle into Adrien’s hair.

Scenes like this had been a constant on their living room couch since Luka first came over. First, he was just a friend, the first friend Adrien made at Monster High. Adrien had been curious about the snakes in his hair, all of whom kept their eye on Adrien’s constantly flicking ears. They also followed the ribbons put in his hair whenever he was in his fearleading uniform, just about to dart for them when Luka would whistle. Before he gently scold them, but now all it took was a sharp note.

When Adrien started getting affectionate, much like the werecat he was, Luka adapted to it. Adrien could sit on his lap, lay all over his, shove his head under Luka’s hand and beg for attention. He’d adjust or removed or just give in. Emilie didn’t know much about gorgons. They were too far to even see before she came to the Boo World. She remembered when she heard about Luka and how he didn’t wear glasses but contacts that dulled his eyes so people wouldn’t turn to stone. She didn’t know how she felt about it. It seemed so dangerous. She found out from her son that Luka used to wear a pair but lost them and hadn’t found a style he liked. She then found Adrien scoring the monsterweb for frames.

“Here.” Adrien had dragged Luka in and disappeared into his room before coming back and handing him a glasses case. “Now, you don’t have to use them, it’s just when you told me about how you couldn’t find a pair you liked, I tried finding one based on the one you described to me. This was the closest one I could find. It’s just the frames so you could get either sunglasses or regular glasses. This isn’t me saying you have to wear them, I just wanted to get them for you.”

Her poor son looked so nervous; his ear flicked back. He relaxed when Luka started rubbed his fingers under his chin.

“I love them. I can’t believe you found these for me. I feel like I’ve been trying since I lost my original pair. Thank you.” Adrien started purring, pushing his chin for more scratches. “What do you think, should I get sunglasses?”

“Well, actually,” Adrien managed to get out, “could you do regular glasses? It’s just, your contacts dull the colour of your eyes and I really wanna see how bright your eyes are.”

“How are you this cute?” the snakes in his hair hissed. The loud sound of hissing and purring made up her mind.

Once the two had finally separated and sat on their usual seats of the couch, she asked, “Luka, would you and your family like to come to dinner one night?”

Arnaka took in the expensive decor of the dining room. It seemed to echo old times; some she could remember fondly before she came to the Boo World. She glanced over at her son, who had his land laced with Adrien’s, the other scratching behind his ear. His blue tinted snakes seemed focused on the necklace around Adrien’s neck but stopped once Luka gave a warning whistle. His new glasses were perched on his nose and they slid up as Adrien butted his head against Luka’s. she’d never seen a werecat be so openly affectionate.

“I hope their level of PDA isn’t too over the top for you.” Emilie asked, bringing out a serving dish of seafood stew, slapping one of the tentacles that tried escaping. “They’re usually like this. They’ve gone on for 15 minutes.”

Arnaka smiled. “This is nothing. My daughter dates a shadow monster who’s also a banshee fusion. Their PDA is usually consumed in a blob of shadows with Rose’s high pitch squeaks. Besides, if they don’t get it out of their system now, Luka’s snakes will be unruly. You should see him when Adrien is texting him. They all start clamouring for attention, like he’s right there.”

“You should see it when they’re actually together. I didn’t realise snakes can give dry bites.” She explained as she poured out stew for everyone, the two teens still engrossed with each other to pay attention. “They’re always nipping at Adrien’s fingers as if trying to drag him to them.”

“Luka tells me Adrien’s always wrapping his tail around him.”

Emilie shook her head, glancing at the black tail that had wrapped its way around Luka’s wrist, still scratching away at Adrien ears. She couldn’t help but smile softly at the two as Adrien nuzzled his nose against Luka’s, his snakes trying to bury themselves into his hair. She herself hadn’t even been this affectionate with her husband in the years before she left.

“We werecats make it very clear when we want attention. Your son makes Adrien very happy.”

“Adrien does the same to Luka. he’s usually so focused on helping other people I feel like he forgets to look after himself but that’s the thing Adrien loved to do the most. Alright you two, break it up. Your food is getting cold.” Arnaka interrupted the two young mansters, who turned red when they realised they’d been essentially cuddling in front of their mothers.

“Luka said you do boating tours? Perhaps you can recommend one to me.”

“Ever been to Tiki Island?” Arnaka asked, her slitted eyes flashing.

“No.”

“It’ll be a blast.”

Arnaka was nothing like any monster Emilie met but she was the mother of her son’s boyfriend, so that made her important. And truly, that’s all that mattered.

Miraculous Monsters

What kind of monsters would the characters of Miraculous Ladybug be? Inspired by Monster High. Does anyone know of an ML AU with monsters?

Marinette: personally I see her being like Frankie Stein. Clumsily loosing her limbs but really good at sewing stitches

Adrien: werecat obviously

Alya and Lila: fox spirits have ambiguous reputations. Alya wants to give Lila the benefit of the doubt, believing she herself won’t be tricked so easily

Nino: phantom. Kind of like Operetta but he can float like a bubble

Mylène: daughter of the boogeyman. Like Twyla.

Max: robot

Luka and Juleka: gorgon. To be honest, do you think human Luka could rock sunglasses? Juleka is annoyed because she can’t take photos without her sunglasses.

Kagami: daughter of the Japanese dragons

Chloé: Mummy. With all her proclamations of being a queen bee, this seemed like a good fit. Plus there’s a lot of gold and horizontal stripes.

Sabrina: daughter of the invisible man.

Gabriel: mothman (Emilie was a werecat)

Ivan: gargoyle

Kim: Minotaur (his red shirt reminds me of Manny)

Ondine: mermaid

Rose: plant monster (like Venus). With green skin and mind-controlling spores

Jagged: he’s an actual dragon

Y/n POV

“Will that be all for you?” I say, finishing up writing down the order.

“Well, I could get your number, beautiful.” One thing that is horrible about being a waitress is dealing with the harassment that comes with it. The best way to deal with verbal harassment (like in this situation) is by giving them the “AS,” as my friends would call it. The Awkward Stare. Now, this stare isn’t having ME become awkward; oh no, this is to make sure THEY do. Essentially, you would look at the predator straight in the eyes and give a resting bitch face until they become uncomfortable and silent. To the point where the whole table is uncomfortable. Kind of like your high school teacher would look at the student when no one would shut up. Once they were fully engaged in avoiding my eyes, I gave a final smile and went put in their order at the counter.

“You know, you could be a little less cute and more intimidating?” said Orion, my now lifetime best friend since I had started this job a couple of months ago. I turn to look at him and give him the finger as he walked around me to bring his tables their food.

“He does have a point. Straighten up your back more, pull your shoulders back, and clock your head to the side just a little. That way, you’ll really knock them.” Emily said. She was a regular here. Every Wednesday at 4 pm and Sunday at 12:30 pm, she would come in, go to her usual spot at the counter, and either order the chiefs salad with a side of a sliced pickle, the garden burger with seasoned fries, or 5 stack pancake with orange/apple juice. Her husband Sam or another kid named Jared and his girlfriend Kim come on Sunday morning, grabbing a crap ton of food (so Emily doesn’t have to cook) and leave. Polite men, scary—at least Sam can be, but polite. Jared is just a child, and I can do nothing but pray for Kim.

“You mean like that ugly pink toad lady from-”

“Don’t say it!” I roll my eyes. Ever since KJ Bowling expressed her feelings towards the LGBTQA+ community, she refuses to acknowledge it. The disbelief and sadness that took over for the love of Henry Planter she had were wild, yet kind of crazy to watch.

“Look, it could be worse. You could love the Dawn saga by Tephanie Neyer and find out that she is horrid in disguise. But hey! Once it hit 2 years, you’ll start realizing all the fucked-up shit in the series and slowly be okay. Dawn fans know Tephanie is fucked up, we know the series is fucked up, we acknowledge it all and take full responsibility for liking it, but some still like it. We don’t support it, but we like it.” I tell her, shrugging my shoulders. I have to remember, she’s a rookie in this game.

“That’s true. Why are the best authors the most fucked up?” she says, playing with her fries I just placed down in front of her.

“Because they hate us and know what the population likes. Just like politics.” I say, stealing one of her fries.

“I don’t know how you guys like that series! Wasn’t there racism, classism with the Ghoul’s and Werecats, hyper-sexualization on the prides where the cats came from, misinformed information, plagiarism, and too, I don’t know, squishy and fluffy in them?” Orion asked.

“First off, they were shapeshifters. Secondly, only in Dawn, Dusk, and Night were squishy. But only because Bethany and Elliot were on their honeymoon in the last one. Daytime didn’t have it because Elliot broke up with Bethany.” I nod in agreement while grabbing the food for my tables.

“I thought their name was Ben and Evy?”

“No, that’s the gender swap version,” I say, walking away with the food. I place the food down at one table and refill drinks to another; some of the reservation guys come in. Seth, Embry, Jake, and Quil. I look over to Orion to call him for his table, but it looks like he and Emily are in a heated discussion about the book series. So, I take over for him. As I walked over to the table, I made eye contact with Seth, and my stomach flipped.

Why you in my dreams? Don't know much about you But I heard about you for the longest time And I see you 'round whenever I go out With some friends of mine And I remember when I saw you standing in a different light It's funny where my mind goes when I'm in my bed at night though

As I lay in bed, I notice that my feelings become stronger and stronger for him almost every time I see him. He was a few inches shorter than me, cheerier, and lanky. I always saw Seth and his friends, but out of nowhere, these…flutters? Feelings? Emotions I don’t like started eating me up every time I see him. I know it might be a crush, I won’t even deny that, but…why?

I toss and turn that night and eventually give up on trying to sleep and just stare at the ceiling, thinking of him. Confused and resistant to even wanting to think about it. The last thing I need is to be in a relationship while in my fucked situation as is. I don’t need my guardians knowing anything about Seth either.

But then again, just like evil authors, life fucks us all over, and you can help but go along with it. Well, unless you sue them. Then that’s different.

I saw her again today. She was walking down the hallway with Orion and Kayla to gym class, and we made slight eye contact before Jake decided to take my attention away from her. I look at him, but I don’t really pay attention to him. I don’t know when it happened, but I have always loved Y/n. When she transferred here in middle school, she was cute, shy, and had (and still has) a babyface.

I could never talk to her. Every time I was around her, I’d get so scared and freeze up. And although we’re in high school, I still can’t control it. Lately, my feelings have been getting stronger. Not just with her, but in general. I don’t know what it is, but it’s taking a lot more of my energy trying to control myself. Leah and mom have noticed it too. But Embry was the worst. Speaking of which,

“Hey, where’s Embry?” Quil and Jake looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

“But did you hear a word I said?”

“Obviously not. He was too busy gawking at Y/n.” Quil said, laughing. I rolled my eyes and walked away. Ass-whores.

After school, we head to the diner and, like always and on cue, Jake and Quil make fun of me because Y/n works there. I roll my eyes at them and attempt to push them off me without smiling, but I can’t help it; they’re stupid. It’s not their fault.

That night I quickly dreamed of her without even having to try to at this point. Every time I want to or attempt to talk, I freeze. Thinking about her just makes me feel…warm. Her beautiful y/e/c eyes are captivating. They’ll draw you in, and once you’re in, you’re stuck. Her y/h/(L/C/T) hair embraces and defines her facial features.

The dream always starts out the same. I’m running through the forest at a high fast pace towards a place that always ends up being her home. I follow around the house to her room on the left side of the house towards the forest. As I look at her window, I see her sitting at the window seal and we instantly make eye contact. My heart stops for a second—she smiles and I walk up to her window to come inside. She doesn’t open the window. She places her hand on the window and my much larger now hands cover hers. We look at one another and smile.

I’m not bothered by her not opening the window. I’m just happy she isn’t freaked out about my presence. Unfortunately, every time she goes to open the window, my alarm wakes me up. And when I mean alarm, I mean Leah.

I groan and curse her and the need to wake me up so early. As I get ready, I think of Y/n and I can’t help but smile. Today’s going be a good day.

The weekend comes and I’m heading in for my shift Sunday morning. I usually wouldn’t work weekends, but that was before I met Emily. I have Friday and Saturday off instead. It’s eight in the morning and Kayla, two of the cooks, and I all pile in before we open at nine. By 9:30, a few families start piling in and by 10, we have the food catered to Sam or Jared ready.

“Hey, Kim!” I wave to her as she walks into the diner. She waves back and heads to the counter. After setting up my table, I head over to the food and help her pack it up in the truck.

“I see you guys ordered more food than usual. Did more family members move into the area?” I say, passing her the multiple trays from the cart to the car.

“Yeah…something like that,” she laughs it off, “but rest assure, this will be gone within the next 45 minutes…maybe sooner.” I laugh with her. I believe her 100 percent. After seeing Jared and Sam, I already know their family that Kim describes them to be, is just as big, if not larger, then this food should hold them off for 2 hours. Maybe.

“Well, that’s all of them: drive safe, Hun. And stop by sometime after school. You’ll miss the adventures of Orion and Emily arguing over pink and rose gold.”

“Aren’t they different?” I nod my head. “But they’ll argue over that?” I nod my head again. She shakes her head and smiles. “Em usually starts it?”

“Sometimes. Only when she needs a good laugh or when she just feels like fucking with him. Last week they were in a heated discussion about the Dusk saga.”

“Oh, dear god! She told me about that. I can’t believe she went that deep into it with him.” Kim laughs.

“I know. That’s probably the only time they’re not being repelling off the same topic. Normally one would disagree for the fuck of it, but they put their fuckery aside and agreed to agree on that topic.” We both laugh. I finish up my conversation with Kim and head inside.

I wave bye to Em, and Orion comes in. I clock out for my break and go sit in one of the booths in the back. As I am prepping my garden burger with ketchup, I think back to my dream I had last night. This one was recently new, confusing, but knew. I take a much-needed bite of my food and relax for the next 15 minutes.

I just got done with my daily nighttime routine, unable to sleep due to Taylor and Kennedy arguing, I go to my window and look outside. I look up at the sky and just drift off into a world of daydreaming until something catches my eye in the bestrew of trees next to my house. As I continue to look, I see big brown eyes of an animal. I smile and the animal walks out of the trees slowly and morphs into Seth. I smile brighter as he comes closer and closer to me. By the time he reaches me, I can feel myself become excited and full of glow, happiness, and this sensation of warmth.

He steps up to the window and smiles down at me. I place my hand on the cold glass and he looks down at my hand and does the same. I can feel the heat radiating from his skin, which only makes me smile more. I unlock the window and just as I am about to open it, my alarm wakes me up.

I’ve been stuck on this for so long that Orion had to shake me out of my daydream. I put my food aside for later and went back to work. I’ll just deal with the dream another time.

okay i actually thought about it and i decided to try writing my emily the werecat story again, too. she was my first oc and my first real character i ever came up with a concrete story about that i remember. i have a solid idea of the original concept in my head, though of course some things need to be changed, and im going to have to figure out a few details and things that i never fleshed out. but i already wrote 860 or so words out, and they sound good to me on a quick readthrough, so. happy with this so far. the eitan story is going to give me more trouble, i think, writing-wise. but im going to try both, so i can switch between them if i get stuck.

Although I don’t talk about them too much, I do have a number of different AUs for each of my selfships! This post gives a little overview of each of them in turn, sorted by the selfship that they concern, as well as some of the “overarching AUs” which are the ones where all of my romantic selfship are canon at once. ..Not all of them have very much to them, but hopefully that’s okay.

The actual list is under the readmore because otherwise this post would be about five miles long, but hopefully all this works well! If anyone has any questions or wants to ask me anything about any of these AUs, you’re always more than welcome to do that! ^-^

overarching AUs:

mythical AU - a generic fantasy universe where all of my F/Os and their corresponding self-inserts exist as different mythical creatures, and all of my romantic selfships exist in tandem (apart from my one with Anti-Aqua - she only exists if Aqua doesn’t). The specific information regarding what sort of creature everyone is is written in the section for ecah individual selfship.

void-kissed (Luna/Adriana) AUs:

void spirit AU - Luna is lost to the Void at the end of Episode 18, instead of escaping with Adriana. She is able to carry on existing in the world as a spirit, but only Anna is left able to properly perceive her, with Adriana needing to wear one of Reborn’s four seals in order to be able to see her.

mythical AU - in the mythical AU, Luna is a ghost tied to the Emerald Brooch while Adriana is a witch who is able to communicate with and summon her. She goes on a journey to try and save Luna from being destroyed when Elias and the rest of Team Meteor try to acquire all four of the seals.

survivors of the dark (Aqua/Aria) AUs:

vampire AU - Aria is a powerful vampire (one of those classic “rich and alone and lives in a mansion and has dark powers”-types), whereas Aqua is a vampire hunter sent to destroy her. However, a rival vampire faction (i.e. Xehanort and his allies) attacks Aria’s mansion while she is hosting a ball, and Aqua ends up having to fight alongside her to both stay alive and rescue her fellow vampire hunters Terra and Ven, who had been turned and captured respectively by the rival vampires.

PAFL AU - the selfship is set in the world of Parties Are For Losers, a series created by the Vocaloid producer Ferry. Aqua and Terra live as siblings with Eraqus, who adopted them both; Terra wants to become a stalker of the Zone and Aqua is trying to stop him because it’s such a dangerous career path. Aria is a mutant who escapes the Zone facility when KT and Dima do, bringing fellow mutant Ventus with her, and the two of them end up running into the Wayfinders.

dual wayfinder AU - instead of going into the realm of darkness, Aria is transported into the future alongside Ventus, losing her memories of her true nature in the process. They both become Master Xehanort’s apprentices, and he tries to use Ven’s light and Aria’s darkness to forge the X-Blade, but it doesn’t work so he sends them off to Eraqus. Vanitas and Ves are then split from Ventus and Aria at Terra and Aqua’s Mark of Mastery exams, prompting a world-spanning chase to find answers.

mythical AU - in the mythical AU, Aqua is an angel whereas Aria is a vampire. I don’t have any story for it yet, though.

to our own Elysium (Pyra/Sapphire) AUs:

driver Sapphire AU - Sapphire takes Rex’s place as Pyra’s Driver - she is a wanderer from Gormott who was hired by Torna to open the door on the already-raised Ancient Ship (which in this AU needs a light-element Blade to open instead of a Leftherian, and Sapphire was already Avalon’s Driver which is why they needed someone like her). Rex appears as Vandham’s biological son from canon who didn’t die, but he doesn’t join the party.

DQIX AU - essentially the story of Dragon Quest IX but told using the XC2 characters. Mythra is a Celestrian and acts as the Guardian of the volcanic town of Upover, but falls down to the Protectorate in the form of a mortal armamentalist called Pyra when the Observatory is attacked. Pyra enlists the help of Sapphire and her father Vandham (who are residents of Upover) to travel across the world and regain her divine abilities. The Indoline Praetorium replace the Gittish Empire, except Torna are the Triumgorate who betray them, and Malos replaces Corvus.

mythical AU - in the mythical AU, Pyra is a dragon stuck in a mostly human form (unlike her siblings Mythra and Malos, who are also dragons except they can choose to take human form if they wish to), while Sapphire is a werecat who ends up stumbling across Pyra in the forest and tries to help her get her powers back.

love, trust and diamond dust (Perun/Sapphire) AUs:

driver Sapphire AU - Perun resonates with Sapphire to become one of her Blades during the story, taking Pyra’s place as Sapphire’s main damage dealer during most of Chapter 7. She is also good friends with Avalon, who is alive in this AU.

DQIX AU - Perun is a paladin from Gleeba who ends up joining Sapphire, Vandham and Pyra on their quest across the Protectorate because she wants to help protect justice and figures that aiding a Celestrian is the best way to do that. Her weapon is a spear, and in battle she tends to intercept attacks meant for the others a lot.

mythical AU - in the mythical AU, Perun is a yet-to-be-determined creature who had initially set out to slay the Aegis dragons, whereas Sapphire is a werecat who tries to dissuade her from doing so because their presence is important for the world’s balance.

dark hearts corrupted (Anti-Aqua/Aria) AUs:

fallen light AU - all normal content of my selfship with Anti-Aqua technically takes place within the context of this AU. It’s an alternate version of events in KH where Aqua ends up falling to darkness shortly after BBS as a result of her light fading and her anguish at being abandoned by the light. Anti-Aqua and Aria become rulers of the realm of darkness, wishing to get revenge on the light for abandoning them both (Aqua also wants revenge on Xehanort, whereas Aria seeks to reach the Final World).

mythical AU - in the mythical AU, Anti-Aqua is a fallen angel and Aria is the vampire that corrupted her. I don’t have any story for it yet, though.

a dance of endeavours (Camellia/Telanthera) AUs:

mythical AU - I haven’t put this selfship in the mythical AU yet, but I do intend to - I’m just having trouble thinking of mythical creatures that fit the characters.

our own kind of heroes (N/Noire) AUs:

reversed heroes AU - the “reverse AU” for this selfship. N is a kind Unovan Pokémon Ranger with the inborn ability to communicate with Pokémon, whereas Noire is the cold sheltered princess of Team Plasma who hates humanity for mistreating Pokémon. She is chosen by Zekrom for her belief in her misguided ideals for separating people and Pokémon, whereas N is chosen by Reshiram for his ability to understand the truth of how Pokémon are and wish to be.

mythical AU - in the mythical AU, N is a forest spirit and guardian of twin dragons Reshiram and Zekrom, who are sealed away within his forest. Noire is a fire elemental who was originally summoned by malevolent humans to help destroy the forest that N protects in order to reach and wake up the dragons, only to promptly decide “no thanks” and go off to do her own thing. which incidentally led to her learning to appreciate nature and helping N.

a farmer and a thief (Skye/Emily) AUs:

Elsewhere University AU - Emily is a biology student studying at Elsewhere University (created by charminglyantiquated on Tumblr) who uses Mimi as a safe name, and Skye is a mischevious changeling known on campus as the Phantom Prince who ends up becoming infatuated with her quite by accident.

mythical AU - I haven’t put this selfship in the mythical AU yet, but I do intend to - I’m just having trouble thinking of mythical creatures that fit the characters.

under a bloodcursed sun (Serana/Cansen) AUs:

Dawnguard AU - the “reverse AU” for this selfship. Serana is the daughter of Harkon, leader of the Dawnguard, a renowned group of vampire hunters. He seeks to use the Tyranny of the Sun prophecy to create a relentless eternal day and destroy all vampires, not realising how disruptive this would be to the natural order of the world. Camille is a scholar from the First Era who was sealed away with an Elder Scroll containing part of this prophecy, which stopped her aging, while Isran and the rest of the normal Dawnguard make up the Volkihar vampire clan. After Serana accidentally frees Camille from where she was sealed away, the two of them go on a quest to complete the prophecy, so that Harkon or Isran’s vampires don’t get to it first.

Monster High + Miraculous Ladybug

(No miraculous' but the kwami are still here like the monster pets the monster high gals have ya know? But unlike them their bigger and they can speak- their god like monsters)

Marinette (Draculuras sister)

- They had different mothers but the same father but instead of living with her father like Draculura, she stayed with her mother and only just now found out she had a sister, Draculura was ecstatic to find out!

- She becomes fast friends with Clawdeen- she absolutely loves her fashion sense and they trade sketch books just loving each others designs

- She would have Draculuras sorta pink skin if only slightly more tan and black hair, but shes taller, her hair is shorter with a blue tint in it and her blue eyes off course

- She gained some of her vampire powers after saving Mr.Fu (Master Fu) so she can turn into a bat

- She isnt vegan like Draculura but she isn't a huge fan of drinking blood and just sticks to store bought meat

- Shes a famous designer who calls herself LadyBug

- Tikki was made Marinettes guardian by Dracula to watch over her

- Hates pictures cuz she knows she wont show up in it and whenever Alya tries to take a picture she ducks out of the way.

Alya

- Always heard stories of Monster High and went to explore because she knew her cousin(Spectra) went there and low and behold she saw the biggest scoop ever

- She does interviews with Spectra and frequently interviews all the monsters

- Absolutely almost got herself in trouble because she decided to just waltz over without warning and everyone was on edge cuz they thought she was one of those humans that wanted to cause trouble for monsters but Spectra quickly explained that wasn't the case.

- Trixx followed her home when she had left from her visit to Monster High, they bonded ever since. He takes the form of a regular dog

- Tries to take a picture with Spectra but she rarely shows up on camera.

Adrien

- Jackson and Heaths cousin, but instead of his 'transformation' being fire based its more radioactive looking.

- His other side is activated with annoyance but he can usually calm himself down (A growl is the first sign) but when he doesnt calm down, he turns paler, his hair gets lighter and most of it turns black, his eyes turn completely green, while his outfit becomes a black graphic shirt with a toxic green cat on it, a black leather jacket with green studs, black gloves with green fingers, black boots, hes got long sharp canines and he becomes snappy, blunt and impulsive.

- When that happens he either goes by Chat or Noir, most typically Noir, Chat is what his friends call him

- Plagg would be a saber tooth, originally he had been Emilies guardian but when she disappeared he went to her son and protects him against Gabriel cuz he HATES that man

- Cupid loves him because hes just so full of love!! And he definitely goes to her for advice

- Very close to Jackson and Heath

- Noir, Holt and Heath should never be in the same room together. They ARE ANNOYING AND THEY SHARE NO BRAIN CELLS.

Lila

- Werecat, definitely Toraleis cousin

- But unlike Toralei, she isn't as well received in Monster High as shes usually all bark and no bite

- She tries to lie her way to the top using Toraleis name but Toralei wants none of it, cuz yeah shes an asshole but at least she does it /RIGHT/, Lila and her do not get along at all

- Tried to one up Cleo and take Deuce but they weren't having it cuz??No?

- She also tries to bad mouth Marinette but Clawdeen and Draculura are ready to throw hands and Toralei offers no assistance but laughing at her.

- She always speaks with a purr and she uses her tail to grab things

Others:

- Nino absolutely loves making music with Holt.

- Luka and Juleka are Operattas cousins and they frequently come to visit her, their skin matches hers, they have their own version of a mask (Lukas is a music note, Juleka has her hair but it curls inwards into a tiny heart.)
