gojo would kill your work husband. but if he were the work husband, that's a different story
REAL!! he’s such a hypocrite because if someone mentioned you had a work husband, his entire world would stop and he wold devise the absolute worst plans to make sure that your co-worker, everyone at your job, and everyone in the next building over knew that he was happily committed to you
but if he is the work husband, he’s very........ dutiful in his role. there’s a loose office/lawyer au in my head where satoru is your secretary, and for all intents and purposes, your personal assistant, and he’s good at his job, but mostly because he considers his job to be pleasing you. he has coffee for you when you arrive, he moves your schedule around without you asking, he has answers to questions before you can even ask them, he has fresh flowers on your desk weekly, pokes into your meetings to pretend to hand you a file that’s really just maybe a single document in a manilla folder with candy on top of it—he’s made himself your business, your partner; he’s made himself irreplaceable, and he loves to remind everybody of that fact.
he’s also extremely loyal. sure, he could day a week’s worth of work done in about a day, but that doesn’t mean he’ll just use his talents for anybody. he’s your secretary, so he’s at your beck and call, and everyone knows it. they know he’s the best, but also that he’s off limits—not because you won’t share him, but because satoru won’t let himself be shared.
he also extends his duties beyond work, of course. when he hands you a print out of your schedule for the day and you’re confused by the three-hour block of time you have in the middle of the day, satoru just helps you shrug your coat of your shoulders and smiles, “that’s for the lunch date you have with me, of course!” hanging up your coat in your closet for you, “i’m paying, see you soon, sweets.” and because you’re great at your job, and satoru helps you be great, nobody really questions when the two of you have time for a 13-course tasting menu at 1pm on a tuesday afternoon. and if they did, all satoru would say that you two had a lovely date

You know, I'm glad that some of us take the step to embrace things that we like even if they're "cringe" or "objectively bad"
But perhaps we could take the next step forward and embrace the idea of reading into books/shows/movies/etc even if they don't seem deep. Perhaps we could understand that the two kinds of media aren't either "shallow and meaningless so you're weird and brainrotted to read into it" or "incredibly and profoundly deep in every way so if you don't analyze every single angle of the thing then you're brainrotted". Some media is deeper than others, but all I propose is that no matter how deep it seems it's acceptable to dig into the thing and take the media seriously instead of just assuming that because of ____ thing (such as target audience or how cringe it is) the media not deep and will never be deep and everything good about it happened on accident.

You know thinking about it Riku could also be a Lovers Arcana character. His story + arc very much revolves around his relationships with other characters (particularly his family and most importantly himself).
Captain is ultimately his arcana however because I feel like his stubbornness and his like willingness to keep going is what makes him a Chariot character (as Captain is an alternative to Chariot). He's also a very devoted/emotional character and I think that plays into it too!

the titanic tourist submarine thing is wild and it is consuming my every thought but i’ve seen so many tweets like “oh so everyone will talk about this but nobody cares about migrants dying at sea” and i honestly think these people have to be wilfully naive to not understand that people are talking about the submarine thing so much because it’s a conflagration of like a million truly nightmarish events (it is lost, they were looking for the literal titanic which is so insanely deep in the ocean, it’s a tiny confined space at extreme pressure and they may actually still be alive down there if the hull hasn’t been impacted because they had air supply for 96 hours), plus they all decided to get in that tin can and paid $250k to do so. of course this is going to have a long news cycle. like i’m obviously saddened and outraged by these other events which aren’t getting nearly enough attention, but idk why anyone is acting surprised about it?

Almost had a breakdown at work today bc they're changing the layout nearly COMPLETELY and I was arguing with [relative coworker] that I KNOW they're gonna take the extra tables away, bc I KNOW how corporate thinks (ie: well just stock less/condense. It doesnt matter that WE ordered/put on the schedule 30+ items for you to have put out. YOU just arent selling enough!)) And she was like no I've been here this long, I know best
And so we're arguing and I'm reading out the layout in a passive agressive "no, I'M right" way and fucking Dumbass Husband coworker comes by and asks her if shes sad bc she looks sad
MOTHERFUCKER WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING HERE!! GO AWAY FUCKHEAD!
And I was not masking and looked at him like 😐+😠 like fucking come on hurry up and leave I'm ARGUING
Anyway I was dropping fucks/fucking all morning bc it's just SO STUPID how they want things now and it's not going to work!!!
And apparently we're allowed to request price drops if theres too much product and like none selling and it's like okay that's great for the stupid Sharter's brand shit I have that nooooo one wants but everyone wants to look at the size 24m bc ooh it's on the BOTTOM
But I fucking have these shitty 3pack shorts still (we got a shipment of 800 at the end of june... price already lowered by half by then to like $6) and they're STILL NOT SELLING AT LIKE $4! I CANT MARK THEM LOWER BITCH
I mean I'll put in a request when I have time but I'm kinda hoping they just... get liquidated...
Oh and we think Dumbass Couple were high and that's why he clearly couldnt read the room (and other off/odd instances) but also bc his wife asked me if I had the Reese's ice cream we got for free today and I said no I cant have that and shes like "you cant????" Like dumbfounded and I said no I'm allergic and she paused and goes "peanut butter?"
Agsgsgsgs like no fucking chocolate YEAH PEANUTS DIPSHIT ITS THE MOST COMMON ALLERGEN agsggdgdgd
Oh and apparently their transfer got cancelled/rejected lmaoo so we're stuck with them 😭 ffs

also like to clarify.. we were not expecting her to leave. and any time she would have left would’ve been bad timing but it’s like.. this was HER program and we didn’t have enough time to really get to know it as well as she did (and still does probably). and there are so many flaws in it that we didn’t have time to address and our attention was spread so thin bc we were / still are juggling a million things and trying to compensate for the vacancy in our already extremely and egregiously small staff. so i get that the leaders may be feeling unsupported and resentful of that and that is very valid. but it’s like.. if that is in fact the case i think it’s important to know that this is not ideal for us either. we lost the person who knew this program inside and out and we still haven’t recovered and even though her position has been filled now (by my new colleague bestie who is AMAZING and has been helpful and supportive and has gone above and beyond in every way and i adore them don’t get me wrong) we may never fully recover from it or at least we won’t for a very long time. and im not even just talking about like the impact on our work. i mean on us as people who were closely psychically bound together. which sounds freakish and weird but we were. that wound is going to take a long time to fully scar and when the scar forms it will always be there. so excuse us for not putting on a perfect asb less than a year after she left us we are kind of seeing the consequences of all of the horrors right now lol.
