Two factors I think we sometimes overlook when discussing Hunter+squad's actions regarding Crosshair, especially in season 1:
1) The squad had NO IDEA Tarkin and Nala Se had experimented on Crosshair. They had a suspicion about the chips in general, yes, but they didn't know Crosshair had been subjected to additional torture/experimentation.
2) As far as the squad was aware, Crosshair was safe AND was where he wanted to be. The rest of them weren't safe around the Empire because they were at significant odds with the new government; but Crosshair had apparently been welcomed by the Empire, given command, etc.
These two factors explain several other plot points:
- Why did the squad end up agreeing to helping other people escape the Empire (the Syndullas, Gregor), but didn't try to mount an operation to get Crosshair away from the Empire? Answer: Crosshair gave them absolutely no reason to believe he WANTED to leave the Empire, and he was safe. It wouldn't have been a "rescue mission," it would have been an abduction. And for all Crosshair's abandonment issues, I don't think season 1 Crosshair would have been happy with his brothers if they had kidnapped him either.
- Crosshair's desire to stay with the Empire was confirmed by Crosshair himself in the season 1 finale - and as a result, Hunter would drag Crosshair along with the squad to save Crosshair's life, but Hunter wasn't about to force Crosshair to rejoin the squad when he apparently didn't want to. The Empire destroying Kamino while Crosshair was on it wasn't a good look from a safety standpoint, of course; but Crosshair shrugged it off and was confident in his standing with his employer, so he'd probably be safe enough again when the Empire came back for him.
- Tech says in "The Crossing" that Crosshair "chose a different path," and he felt he had to "respect [that] decision" - and I think a similar sentiment applies to the others' stance on Crosshair's choice. For the same reason the squad didn't tie Echo down and prevent him from going with Rex, the squad also didn't prevent Crosshair from staying with the Empire when he indicated that was his own choice.
- As soon as Tech finds out Crosshair is a prisoner, though, that he ISN'T safe with the Empire anymore, Tech immediately informs the others and pushes for a rescue mission, and the others agree (Hunter's only hold up is the lack of reinforcements).
In other words: Crosshair's brothers let Crosshair make his own decisions about the path he was going to take, even as they tried to understand why he made those decisions, as long as he was safe; but as soon as they knew he WASN'T safe, they tried to rescue him. And again, awful as it is to see Crosshair undergo painful reconditioning on Kamino, his brothers never knew that happened and therefore were under the impression Crosshair was safe with the Empire.

“I appreciate you coming with me, by the way, Tech. Herbalism isn’t for everyone.” You chuckle as you bend down to inspect some nearby plants, using a scanner to check their properties.
After some members of your group had fallen ill, you asked Tech, quite reluctantly, to accompany you in finding a remedy. With credits scarce, medicine wasn't readily available to any of you.
“I do believe our best choice is to go to Felucia and seek out some Nysillin,” he says, looking around as he follows you. “But you are welcome.”
“We don’t have the time to go all the way to Felucia,” you sigh. While you partly agreed with him, it would take at least three rotations to get there from your current location, and none of you knew if the illness would spread or worsen in the meantime.
You stand up, and the two of you continue walking through the dense foliage, the air humid and slightly sticky. “If you see any flowers, point them out to me.”
Tech adjusts his goggles, scanning the area meticulously. “Understood. Though I must point out that identifying medicinal plants without a proper botanical reference could be inefficient.”
“I know, but we have to try something,” you reply, keeping an eye out for any potential remedies.
Your reluctance to Tech coming with you was simply from a place of feeling, precisely, your feelings for him. He made you both nervous and giddy but you knew nothing would ever come from it. So, instead you just relished in the time alone with him.
A few minutes later, Tech halts, his attention fixed on a cluster of vibrant orchids nestled among the greenery. “There,” he points, “those orchids might have some medicinal properties.”
You walk over to the orchids, marveling at their beauty. “Good eye, Tech. These could be promising.” You carefully gather a few specimens, making sure not to damage the stems and petals. Tech goes ahead and takes your scanner, beginning to analyse their chemical composition.
You crouch down beside him, looking at the scanner, curiosity piqued. “Can you tell me anything about them?”
“It states here that orchids have been known to possess a variety of medicinal compounds. With any luck, these might help mitigate the symptoms the others are experiencing,” he explains. Truthfully, some of his words go in one ear and out the other because you can't help but quietly admire him.
He turns his gaze to you, his eyes curious. “Do you believe these orchids will suffice?”
You snap out of your reverie, clearing your throat and looking down at the pile of scattered petals. “O-Oh, of course,” you say swiftly, helping Tech gather some into his backpack carefully.
You look back at the orchids, the soft mix of pink and purple flowers filling your senses. “These are so beautiful. Seems a shame to pick them.”
Tech looks at the flower and thinks for a moment. “I suppose they are nice on the eyes, yes.”
The next few moments feel like a dream as you watch Tech pluck a small strand from the bush. Your skin grows warm as he takes a hold of your chin with his thumb and index finger, turning your head towards him. Breath catching in your throat, you watch as he brushes your hair behind your ear and tucks an orchid into it. “I hope this will suffice,” he says softly.
You blink at him, taken aback. Where had that come from? Had he hit his head? Your silence lingers, and Tech suddenly realises his gesture was nothing short of flirtatious. “We,” his voice squeaks adorably, and he quickly clears his throat, “we should head back to the ship.”
You nod, still processing what just happened. “Yes, of course.”
As you walk back to the ship, the orchid in your hair has you recalling back to Tech did. His gentle words, his lingering touch on your skin… it was lovely. Tech walks beside you this time rather than behind, his usual composed demeanor slightly rattled, and you can’t help but smile at the thought of the brilliant, logical man having a tender, spontaneous side. Just for you.
You steal a glance at Tech, and your eyes lock. He looks slightly flustered, the tips of his ears turning a deep shade of red. As the Marauder comes into sight, you decide to take a gamble and stop. “Tech?”
He stops too, looking at you with curiosity. “Yes?”
“Thank you for coming with me. I know I already said that before, but I really appreciate your help.” Your voice is soft, and your fingers fidget nervously behind your back. “And for the flower in my hair… it was sweet of you.”
Tech smiles, taking a step closer. “You asked for my help, and I gave it. There is nothing to thank me for,” he says. His eyes flicker to the orchid in your hair and then back to you. “I apologize if this is forward, but I have always secretly favoured orchids. Both for their medicinal properties and, as you said before, they are beautiful and…” He trails off, his fingers flexing as he takes a deep breath, “and so are you.”
Your heart feels like it might burst from your chest, and your eyes glisten with unshed tears at his sweet words. Does this mean he likes you back? The possibility makes your heart race. But it could just be Tech being straightforward, yet you had never seen or heard him act this way with anyone else.
“Really?” you ask, the question sounding silly instead of just thanking him.
“Yes.”
You realize that you both have stepped closer to each other, your chests almost touching as he gazes down at you with gentle eyes. His gaze flickers from your eyes to your lips, but he’s nervous, and truthfully, so are you. Tech isn’t easy to read sometimes, making it hard to decide if he wants to kiss you or not.
You can feel his ragged breath on your face, his posture straight and stiff. So, you take the lead, standing on your toes and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. You let it linger, smirking as you feel him take a sharp inhale of breath.
When you pull back, you gauge his reaction. He’s bewildered and quite in awe. Eventually, he breaks out into a grin, and reading the situation correctly, he places a hand on your cheek and slowly leans in. His nose brushes against yours, and his lips are about to meet yours until…
“Are you two back?” A voice calls from the ship, and you both jolt back, alarmed. You look to see Wrecker coming into view, rubbing his tired eyes. “Any luck?”
A wave of relief washes over you both, thankful that the intimate moment wasn’t fully interrupted, but both a little disappointed it didn’t happen. Tech gives you an apologetic look before following Wrecker, who retreats back inside.
That afternoon, you make a remedy with the orchids and hand cups to each of the batch, making sure they drink it all and monitoring their progress through the rest of the day. By the fourth hour, they are looking better than before, and you feel immense relief.
You and Tech don’t have time to speak about what happened that day, but when he is asleep in his bunk, you notice you still have some leftover petals. So, with a small thought, you retrieve his helmet and begin placing the flowers along the edges of the visor, scattering them along the top.
The next morning, your heart swells and you realise you’re completely smitten with him as you see Tech wearing his helmet, the cute still flowers adorning it. He doesn’t seem to mind them at all.

To follow up on my Hosanna poll, I think before things go any further, it'd be good to actually explain and define it. I was initially going to wait until the end of the poll, but it seems that google is giving people a lot of bad and/or conflicting answers and I'd rather people walk away with the correct information.
So! Hosanna is an anglicized version of the Hebrew words "hosha na" [הושע נא or as a contraction הושענא]. Hosha na is a little enigmatic and hard to translate, but the simplest translation is probably "save us, please." It's traditionally used as an exclamation to G-d to rescue us, but it also has shades of being a triumphant shout (the implication being confidence that G-d will save us.)
Jews say "hoshanot" (the plural of hosha na) as part of our traditional Sukkot liturgy, and is something we do still today.
For us, the multi-faceted meaning of the root word allows us to have multiple layers of meaning. During Sukkot, we start praying for rain in its proper season and amounts, and we shake the lulav and etrog as part of these processions and liturgy. On Hoshana Rabba [the "great hoshana"], the last day of Sukkot, we process around the bimah (front lectern) seven times as a completion of our season of repentance and our starting of the new year with abundant blessings.
My siddur (prayer book) Lev Shalem has this as an explanation and translation:

[Image ID is of the Lev Shalem siddur, pages 382 & 383 - I tried hard to find a pdf of this that would be readable using a screen reader, but the versions I'm finding cut off at pg. 376 at the latest. If anyone has bandwidth to type this up, I would greatly appreciate it]
For the curious, here is a recording of the Hoshanot liturgy and procession:
youtube
Christians mostly know the word from the gospels and hymns.
Here is what Wikipedia says about its use in Christianity:
Historical meaning
Since those welcoming Jesus were Jewish, as of course Jesus himself was, some would interpret the cry of "Hosanna" on the entry of Jesus in its proper meaning, as a cry by the people for salvation and rescue.
Christian reinterpretation
"Hosanna" many interpret as a shout of praise or adoration made in recognition of the messiahship of Jesus on his entry into Jerusalem
It is applied in numerous verses of the New Testament, including "Hosanna! blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lᴏʀᴅ!" (Matthew 21:9,15; Mark 11:9–10; John 12:13), which forms part of the Sanctus prayer; "hosanna in the highest" (Mark 11.10); and "hosanna to the Son of David" (Matt 21:9). These quotations, however, are of words in the Jewish Psalm 118. Although not used in the book of Luke, the testimony of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem is recorded in Luke 19.
In church music
The "Hosanna Anthem", based on the phrase Hosanna, is a traditional Moravian Church anthem written by Bishop Christian Gregor of Herrnhut sung on Palm Sunday and the first Sunday of Advent. It is antiphonal, i.e. a call-and-response song; traditionally, it is sung between the children and adult congregation, though it is not unheard of for it to be done in other ways, such as between choir and congregation, or played between trombone choirs.
The bottom line:
Jews and Christians have different connections, associations, and meanings attached to this word as expressions of our different theologies and texts. The word is derived from a Hebrew word and was created by Jews and is still used by us today. (Like literally today - we are currently in the middle of the Sukkot festival.) Christians changed the meaning to fit within their own context, and pronunciation of the word evolved with linguistic drift over time. In the same way that there's not a reason to pitch a fit over saying Jesus rather than Yeshua, there's no compelling reason to change hosanna back to hosha na; if anything, the distinction helps make it clear that it's effectively a different word and concept from ours.
On the other hand, I do think Christians ought to know the original meaning of the word if they're going to use it. To only ever know their version when it was derived from ours is yet another small way of playing into supercessionism by erasing and replacing the Jewish context of things that were originated in Judaism that Christians have embedded in Christianity. While the Christians of today cannot unwind the supercessionism of Christian history, they *can* choose to understand their present Christianity in ways that do not play into supercessionism and that respect the Jewish community of today.
I hope this was helpful and gives folks a new perspective on an obscure Hebrew word!

Chapter Two
Months Later After The Fall
A cup of ale was given to Sandor by his father when he killed his first man. Sandor was only 12 and he gagged at the taste of it but his father told him to drink up since he was a man now. Sandor did what any 12 year old would do. He listened to his father and drank it all. He was 15 when he noticed the drinking was the only thing that helped him sleep. It helped him ease the nightmares he had of his older brother. As Gregor grew, the maids in their house disappeared along with a sister, he doesn't recall.
He has a rough time remembering anything before Gregor did what he did. It was like he had lost his memory after that but it came back in nightmares. Nightmares of his older brother shoving his face in the fire, horrible screams and sounds of a girl choking echoing in the hallways of their home. The news of his father’s death was said to be a “hunting accident”. When he was told of his father’s death it scared him because Gregor stood behind the maesters with a stone cold stare. No one mentioned the blood stain on Gregor’s trousers, no one even dared to say what they were thinking.
The drinking helped Sandor sleep and not care. He didn’t care what anyone thought of him anymore, not like when he was a kid. He didn’t mind the names or the snickering behind his back but he did have his moments. Sandor was just 16 when he was in a tavern minding his business and drinking by himself. No one dared to bother him but a drunken knight decided to bully him. He ignored the warning and walked towards Sandor shouting about his face.  The knight was so drunk out of his mind that he didn't notice Sandor had a knife in his hand. The people in the tavern screamed while others stared in horror as Sandor rammed his knife at the knight's face repeatedly.
Sandor was on him, pinning him to the ground with his weight. He noticed the blood and chunks of brain had stained the white cloak the knight wore.  Sandor scoffed at the sight of it. White cloak, a knight’s garment. The white signifies purity, virtue, and innocence. Knights are supposed to be good but all the knights around him were pieces of shit who used and abused their powers on the weak.
Being a knight was a dream for him when he was small. That dream broke and disappeared when Gregor was knighted by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. Sandor didn't understand it.
“How can he be a knight?’ He asked himself. His brother is a monster, evil with legs and a face.
The awful truth that Sandor learned was knights protecting the good and the unfortunate were all fake. In the real world it’s the strongest who survives, the strong prey on the weak to live. You need to kill to survive.
Sandor stopped when the knight's head was completely smashed. He wiped his knife on the knight’s cloak and rose up from the ground. He ignored the people around and sat back down to finish his cup of ale.
He learned that day he was pretty good at killing and he liked it.
When he became Joffrey’s guard, he started drinking more. Since he was paid well, he drank wine. Wine made him feel good and yearn for a woman's touch. He would spend his nights at a whore house where some rejects from little finger’s establishment stayed. He drank until he couldn’t feel the tip of his fingers anymore. He drank until he couldn’t see the woman’s face and paid for her time. He kept it simple and quick. Bend them over then have them bring him a pitcher of wine when he finished.
He would wake up the next day with a slight headache and cotton mouth but he slept the entire night without any nightmares. His eyes would open and stare up at the multicolor fabrics hanging from the ceiling of the establishment.
Sandor never told you but when he first talked to you when you arrived at King's Landing that night he drank and he dreamt for the first time in a long time. He dreamt of you and your sweet smile that you had given him when you saw him. The dream became a nightmare when Gregor appeared behind you. Gregor was going to kill you and Sandor without a thought grabbed his sword.
He shot up in a sitting position when he sliced Gregor’s throat wide open in his dream. It was the first time in his life he had dreamt or even thought of killing Gregor. Sandor was now bigger and stronger. He had more experience in fighting now. He knew if he tried his hardest he might be able to win against his brother.  The only thing that was lingering on his mind was, when will it be his chance to get his revenge on Gregor.
Sandor found out that he might be able to defeat his brother when he protected Loras Tyrell from him during the Hand's tournament. A rush of energy came at him when he saw Loras on the ground, his brother was about to strike the younger man.
He did hold his brother off and King Robert commanded them to stop. Sandor was the only one who obeyed and kneel, showing his loyalty to the King. Loras thanked him graciously as Sandor stood up. He raised Sandor’s arm up declaring him as the winner.  He saw you quickly rise from your seat beside your father and clapped for him. You cheered his name loudly, not caring who was looking at you. The crowd followed and cheered for him as well, making him tense up since these were the same people who ridiculed and despised him are now cheering for him.
He made a decision as he walked up the steps to take his place behind Joffrey. He was going to kill his brother and get revenge.
Sandor started to gain consciousness and he thought he was back in the whorehouse. He will wake up like always and see the multicolor fabrics hanging above him. Sandor opened his eyes and stared up and saw a wooden ceiling. He let out a hiss when he tried to get up, he couldn't do it. He looked at his surroundings for a moment. He realized he was inside of a wooden shack. Everything came rushing back in his mind at once. He fell off a cliff and you were crying over him as you tried to pick him up.
Y/n. He thought to himself. He let out a grunted as he tried to get up again but it was no use.
“You’re up.” Sandor's eyes widened at the sound of a man’s voice. He tried to sit up on the bed to see who it was but fell back down on the makeshift bed. An older man with a beard walked inside the shack with a small bowl and a cup.
“Y/n?!” Sandor called out in a raspy voice.
He looked down at himself to see his clothes were gone. He wore a brown tunic shirt. He was bare from the waist down under thick blankets.
“Wow! Relax.” The man said putting the bowl and cup on the small table near the makeshift bed when he saw Sandor trying to get up again.
“Where is Y/n?!” Sandor shouted as the men sat down on the bed with his hands in front of him showing Sandor he meant no harm.
“She’s eating supper now. She’s done with work.” The men helped Sandor sit up as he spoke.
“What?” Sandor said not understanding as he leaned against the wall.
“You should eat too.” The men said, grabbing the bowl.
“She will be happy that you’re awake. Poor thing was starving and tired. Told her I’ll feed you today.” Sandor watched as the man took the spoon from the table, he was about to feed it to him like he was a baby.
“I can fucking do it.” Sandor said, grabbing the bowl from the man’s hand.  The man laughed while Sandor gave him a glare.
“She said you were a mean one.” Sandor quietly moaned as he drank the warm soup straight from the bowl. He was starving.
“Who are you? What’s this place?” Sandor asked, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
“I’m Ray. Some people call me brother Ray. We are here building a sept in the hills. We found Y/n in the mountains. Poor thing was crying and asked us for help. She offered to work in exchange.” Ray said with a smile as he looked around the small shack. Sandor frowned.
“What is she doing? What kind of work?” Sandor asked. Millions of thoughts were running inside of his head. Sandor didn’t believe Ray. He knew men like him. Sandor has always been good at reading people. Ray seemed to catch on what Sandor was implying and  frowned.
Ray shook his head. “No! We really are building a sept. At first she would cook and clean. Clean clothes of the people here but some people thought it wasn’t fair because food and shelter was being given to you.”
“Y/n is something. She yelled at men twice her age and said she will work with them, cutting trees down just to shut their mouths.”
Ray rose up then made his way to the table filled with bowls and candles. Sandor watched as Ray started to mix some powder and made a paste. Sandor continued to finish his soup as Ray kept talking.
“Never seen a girl her size cut down wood before. I think she has been through a lot, she hasn’t said much about herself. Every time she’s chopping wood she said she imagines it’s the face of the people who hurt her.”
Sandor was lost for words. You haven’t left him. You kept your word and stood by him. You worked for him. Sandor felt his heart was about to burst as Ray kept talking about you.
“You gave us all a fright.” Ray said as he lifted the blanket up to Sandor’s knee.  Sandor saw his leg was straightened out. He can see the nasty large scar across his knee. His knee bone was pushed back in and he was stitched up. The stitches looked red and angry but Sandor was happy about that. It means the wound is fresh and healing. Sandor held his breath for a moment when he tried to move his toes. Ray let out a chuckle when he moved them.
“Scared the fuck out of Y/n when you started to move them in your sleep.”
“You were in and out of death so many times. Never seen a woman pray so much like Y/n did by your bedside.” Ray said as he carefully spread some of the paste on Sandor’s knee. Sandor tried to keep a moan of relief when he felt the cool paste on his stitches.
Ray wrapped some cloth around his knee and covered him back up with the blanket.
“I’m glad you’re up.” Sandor watched as Ray grabbed the empty bowl from his hands and started to walk out of the shack. He looked over his shoulder at Sandor and told him he will tell you that he's up.
Sandor was left alone and he stared at his hands on his lap trying to wrap his head around the fact that he’s alive thanks to you. He looked up at the sound of someone running. He froze when he saw you by the door. You stared at him with wide eyes and a big smile. You looked different. You wore dark trousers with a beige tunic instead of your usual dress. You looked slimmer, and you looked like you had been out in the sun for too long.
“Sandor.” You cried as you walked inside and sat on the bed close to him. Sandor didn’t say anything when you wrapped your arms around his shoulders and hugged him.
“I’m so happy you’re up.” You said looking at him, cupping his face with your hands. Sandor tried not to cry, he really did but you were there in front of him, alive and he was alive too.
“It’s okay, my love.” You whispered as you kissed his cheeks. You caressed his burned cheek while he looked at you.
“Thank you.” He softly said.
“Thank you.” He repeated as tears ran down his cheeks.
He kissed you gently and laid his forehead against yours. You pulled away when you heard him let out a sharp breath, he bore a grimace look on his face.
“Are you in pain? Ray said he put the paste on your leg. I’ll give you some milk of the poppy.” You said leaning forward to the table, grabbing a small vessel and the cup Ray had bought.
“Where did you get that?” Sandor asked as he watched you put a few drops in his cup. Medicine is not cheap.
“Ray took me to a town a few miles away. I have been chopping wood and selling them there. I got enough money for medicine.” He was about to take the cup from your hands when he froze at the sight of them.
He grabbed one of them when he noticed the bandage wrapped around your palm. Your hands were different as well. Not the hands of a lady anymore. Your hands were rough and you had dirt underneath your fingernails.
“It’s just a cut. It’s healing.” You told Sandor as you gave him the cup and removed your hand from his grasp.
“Let me see.” You shook your head.
“Drink first. Please.” Sandor didn’t say anything.
“Please. I’m alright.” You said pushing the cup towards his mouth. Sandor didn’t want to anger you so he did what you told him. He was ashamed that you had to work to take care of him.
You told him about Ray and the group as you helped him lay back down. You told him how Stranger was outside as well. You didn’t have the heart to sell the horse and his sword, you thought if Sandor died then Stranger and the weapon would be a reminder of him. However you did have to sell his armor for a maester to come all the way up the hills to check up on him.
Sandor was drifting into sleep from milk of the poppy when he noticed he took almost the entire makeshift bed. He wanted to ask where you slept. He was going to ask when you started to hum softly to him. He felt your hands on his head, you brushed his hair with your fingers as you continued to hum.
Sandor got his answer in the middle of the night when he woke himself up from a cough. He opened his eyes slowly, still feeling the effects of milk of the poppy. He saw a small candle on the table near him burning. He looked around as best he could. He stopped when he saw you on the ground sleeping. He wanted to get up to get you in bed with him but he winced at the pain in his knee. You were in the corner with a pillow under your head and a blanket over you. Sandor can see you were holding one of his knives in your hand while you slept.
He tried to call your name out, trying to fight back the sleep but he lost and shut his eyes. Days passed and Sandor got better and stronger. He was in a foul mood every time you left for work and came back. You spoke to him telling him you did this for him because you love him.
“I know you would have done the same for me if I was the one in that bed.” You told him. Sandor nodded as he agreed with you.
Sandor tried to have you sleep in the makeshift bed with him. He had shouted until you laid with him every night. As soon as you heard him snoring, you carefully got off. You didn’t want to tell Sandor the real reason why you chose to sleep on the ground. Some nights you would sit on the ground by him and stare at the entrance of the shack.
Days turned into weeks and Sandor was finally able to walk with the help of Ray and a teenager boy named James who wasn’t afraid of him.
Sandor already had a reputation among the group and they weren’t to kin at the idea of the tall man with half of a burned face around them. Sandor walked a few steps before sitting back down. Ray told him it was normal and to have him walk more to get the strength of his legs back up again.
Sandor was up and walking in no time. The sept you were helping build was done. Sandor and you went with Ray along with his group to another place to do the same. Since the group changed location it wasn’t too far from the shack. Each morning, Sandor and you rode Stranger to work then back again in the afternoon to the shack to rest.
You ignore the talk and the stares people did whenever they saw Sandor and you. Sandor impressed many when he was able to carry a log by himself, a log that took at least five people to carry. Sandor began to chop wood and he made you get a job that didn’t require so much manual labor. You didn't want to at first, since you got used to the work but Sandor pleaded with you. You started to help the other woman with the cooking and the cleaning.
You ignored the snickering you heard behind your back from the women who talked about you being with Sandor. Some were afraid of him, while others were repulsed by his face and some were jealous of you for having a man like Sandor. Tall and strong is what you heard from them and for the first time it made you feel jealous.
Sandor and you have been traveling alone for so long that there weren't other people to make you feel that way. You knew Sandor wasn't like that, talking to other women or even looking at them. Even on the road and going inside of a tavern he never once looked at women.
The woman in the group wore dresses while you wore trousers and a shirt that Ray had given you. Your hair that was once brushed and braided is now tangled and greasy from being out in the sun and working. Insecurity and jealousy seeped into your body.
You were unaware that Sandor heard how the men spoke about you. Just like you, Sandor knew the rules not to fight and not to steal from each other. Sandor didn’t want to be the reason to be kicked out of this place. It was good, no one knew who both of you were, both of you had somewhere to stay and had food.
Sandor was surprised when Ray came around the corner and spoke out when he heard one of the men start to speak about you. “Perhaps if you pray hard enough to the gods, they will bless you with a lass like her. Hardworking and pretty.”
Ray looked over to Sandor who walked away to get another log.
“Y/n didn’t tell me what happened to you.” Sandor heard Ray behind him following him deeper into the woods to his chopping area.
“It was a fight.” Sandor replied.
“Wow, I don’t want to see what the other guy looks like.”
Sandor shook his head. “It was a woman. A tall, big fucking woman.”
Ray chuckled. “She wanted to take Y/n away from me.”
“Well, I’m glad she didn’t.” Ray walked closer to Sandor. “Me too.” Sandor said as he sat on a log stretching his leg.
“Many people say you came back from the dead. Some said it was fairies that healed you.” Sandor scoffs at the idea of little fairies over him.
“I know Y/n helped but it was up to you to survive. What made you survive? I didn’t have the heart to tell Y/n that you were done for. No man can come out of the state you were in.” Ray said.
Sandor thought about it for a minute, why was he still alive? Perhaps it was for you, to keep you safe. Before you, he was alive to have his revenge on his brother. “Hate or maybe I’m just a hard fucker to kill.”
Ray shook his head not believing him. “No, there's a reason. Gods aren’t done with you yet.”
“Heard that one before.” Sandor said as he remembered Beric telling him that the gods wanted him alive before leaving with you after his win. Sandor didn’t believe it at all.
“Why would the gods want me alive? I have done hateful shit before. You don’t know the things I have done.”
“If you are what you say then why is she with you?” Ray said, looking behind Sandor.
Sandor followed his gaze to see you walking towards them along with two bowls in your hands. “I believe you're alive for a reason.” Ray said, patting Sandor on the shoulder then left.
Ray greeted you as you walked past him.
“Hey.” You told Sandor as you passed him a bowl with rice and meat.
“Thanks.” Sandor said while you took a small leather wineskin off your shoulder.
“Your favorite, water.” You told him before giving it to him. Sandor snorted a chuckle, he was telling you this morning how he would chop every fucking tree in the forest for some ale.
You used your fingers to grab the meat and rice as Sandor took a drink of water. It’s been a while since he had ale or wine. He was alright without it just as long he was with you, he thought to himself. He closed the wineskin and looked down at the bowl. He was still thinking about those men talking about you. It wasn’t the first time he heard men speaking about you. In King’s Landing, he saw how men looked at you. He heard what the knights and lords said about you. The Lords were all over your father asking for your hand but your father kept telling them how you were already promised to another. He never found out who it was though and he didn't want to think of it. Another man with you, another man touching you and looking at you.  He was able to give one look at the knights and scare them off but he didn’t know what to do about the men here.
He didn’t want to cause a problem. He didn’t want both of you to get kicked out. Ray seemed nice enough. Ray never looked at you like you were a piece of meat.
Sandor trusted Ray with you, he knew why Ray helped you heal him. It was after a tale Ray told to the group one afternoon. Ray had told the group that he had gotten into a fight when he was still in his misfit ways with a couple of smugglers. At the end, the smugglers sought out where he lived and killed his daughter because he wasn't there.
“ I can not bring back my daughter. I regret that fight so much but I know I can make a difference now. I can bring back a bit of good into this world.”
His story was cut short when three men rode into their camp looking for trouble. Sandor had gently pushed you behind him when the men started to stare at the woman of the group. He knew who they were, they were from the brotherhood and followed the Red God. They didn't recognize him, Sandor had longer hair that touched his shoulders and was much lighter in color. The beard that he kept short was now fuller.  You hid behind Sandor, your forehead was pressed against his back as you listened to the men asking Ray if they had any gold or weapons. You gripped the back of his shirt when the leader of the men told Ray to be careful because the night is dark and full of terror.
Sandor didn't sleep that night, he stayed up with his sword in his hand in case they came. Ray told him that he wouldn't fight them because violence is a disease. He kept looking at the entrance of the shack. Sandor knew Ray was right about violence being a disease but it was the only way to make sure you were safe.
Ray helped you because you remind him of his daughter. Ray couldn't do anything to help his daughter but he was going to make sure to help you and he did. Sandor was alive, breathing and walking again.
Sandor swore to himself that he was going to do the same as you did for him. You helped him, you saved him from death. He wasn't going to let anything or anyone hurt you. You showed how much he means to you. You showed him everyday how much you loved him.
“I love you.” He mumbled without a thought. His eyes widened at his confession, he quickly turned away from you.
“What?” You asked when you heard Sandor mumble something. You were too busy eating to hear what he said.
Sandor shook his head and kept eating, avoiding your gaze.
“I want you to tell me if anyone is bothering you. Alright?” Sandor finally spoke after a few minutes. You looked over at him with a strange look. Did he find out?
“What are you talking about?” You asked softly, trying not to panic.
“I heard some of the men talking about you.” Sandor said, looking over you as you wiped one of your hands on your pants. You let out a small sigh of relief.
“I don’t know if I’ll need you to save me. I’m pretty good with an ax.” You said, giving him a smile. He didn't need to know, you thought to yourself. It was over, he’s safe. He is alive, that's what matters.
Sandor grinned at you. You were good that he had to admit, he had seen you chopping wood. At one point he had to leave when he got a hard on from just watching you. He got aroused by the look on your flushed face, the sweat dripping down your forehead and neck. He liked it, it reminded him whenever you rode him. Your body would be covered in sweat as you moved your hips, your breasts bouncing. Your sweaty face reminded him of the time he pounded you from behind. Your pretty face looked at him over your shoulder mewling with each thrust.
“The women talk about you too. You know?” You said as you brought a piece of meat to your mouth. Sandor shook his head at you as he ate.
“He’s the tallest man I've ever seen in my life. He’s so strong.” You said mimicking in a high pitch voice making him chuckle.
“Pretty soon I'll have to swing my ax to keep them away from you.” Sandor chuckled looking at you. He stopped when he noticed you looked a bit annoyed. This was new for Sandor, he had never seen this side of you before. You’re jealous and he didn't like seeing you like this. He didn't know what to do to make you stop feeling this. Sandor wasn't good with emotions, he knew that. You were the first person to ever make him feel something that wasn't hate. He was nervous about what to say, last time the words came out of his mouth without a thought. Those words back in the barn, he regretted because of the face you made when he mentioned your family.
In his mind he wanted to say, stop being stupid. I don't want those broads.
“There's only you, Y/n. I only want you.” The words that came out of his mouth washed away the insecurity and jealousy you felt. You looked at Sandor and saw he was being sincere, you looked away licking your lips.
“Y/n. Look at me.” Sandor spoke, you looked over at him. He had gotten closer to you.
“I only want you. You’re all I want.”
You bite your bottom lip as Sandor kisses your cheek. It’s been so long since you felt him, since you felt his touch. You wanted him so bad but you knew he had to heal. You didn’t want to hurt his knee but your fingers weren't the same as his, your cunt was used to his rough and large fingers. Your body craved his touch and cock. You yearned for him. It’s been months without him.
You felt Sandor kiss the corner of your lips. You dropped your bowl to the ground to kiss him on the lips.
Sandor dropped his bowl as well to grab you, he wanted to be closer to you. He wanted to feel you. “Are you sure?” He heard you asked him as you kissed his neck.
“Aye.” He said standing up from the log, pulling you up to follow him further into the forest. He didn't want anyone seeing you.
“You?” He asked. You nodded, “Yes please” He grins at your response.
He found a large enough tree to keep both of you hidden behind.  He pushed you gently against the tree as he leaned down to kiss you on the lips. His hands grabbed your ass, squeezing it over your trousers. You let out a moan as he nipped your neck.
“Sandor.” You cry his name. His large fingers made their way to the rope tied around your trousers to keep them from falling down. He untied it and pulled your trousers off along with your boots.
He let out a moan when he came close to your mound, he kissed it. Enjoying the scent of your musk. He was about to eat you out when you begged for his cock.
Sandor felt himself grow hard at your words. You told him how much you missed his cock, and you missed how he fucked you. He quickly pulls his own trousers down, jerking himself a bit.
Sandor manhandled you and picked you up roughly. Your back was against the tree, legs wrapped around his waist. Your fingers digging into his shoulder as he slipped himself inside of you. He groans as he feels your cunt on him. You were so tight, it’s been so long since he felt you. He was shocked how wet you were. You were wet just by kissing him.
He held you tight as he thrust inside of you. He held your ass in one hand while his hands held onto the tree.
“F-F-uc-k.” You cried into his neck as he fucked you. You heard Sandor grunting as he thrust into you hard and rough.
“You’re mine.” Sandor moaned into your ear. “You hear me?”
“Mine.” Sandor said as he felt you clench around his cock by his words. He hated hearing the other men talk about you. Didn’t they know that you were with him, that he’s yours and you’re his.
“You like that? Knowing you’re mine. You’re fucking mine.” Sandor grunted as he felt you cum around his cock.
“Yes.” You moan as he kept fucking through your orgasm. You held him tight as he reached for his climax. He let out harsh grunts against your neck as he fucked your cunt. Thrusting in and out rapidly, the sound of your ass hitting against his thighs can be heard.
“You little minx.” Sandor tells you as he feels your wetness dripping down his balls. Letting out a whine when you felt your clit against his stomach. The feeling of his happy trail rubbing against your throbbing clit made you lightheaded. You were about to cum for a second time.
“Say your mine.” Sandor cries out about to cum.
“I’m yours. I’m your woman.” You tell him out of breath.
“Only yours.”
You kissed him harshly and sloppy. Your tongue slipped in his mouth as you moaned. Sandor bit your bottom lip when he felt you cum again on his cock. He grunts as he pushes you completely against the tree. His hand leaves your ass to hold both of your legs open as he cums deep inside of you.
You ignored the pain of the tree bark digging your back as you felt Sandor cumming inside of you. You felt him thrust softly making you whine while he grunted.
“Fuck, Y/n.” Sandor says as he holds you. He moans as he kisses your neck. He held you against the tree for a moment. He held you, enjoying your warmth and scent. He had to stop to admire you. Your eyes were bright and your lips turned upwards in a smile.
He wanted to remember you like this. He wanted to say those three words again so you could hear him but fear filled him. What if he said it and he would wake up in that place again. He didn't want to wake up to see the multicolor fabrics on the ceiling.
He winces as he pulls out from you softly so he doesn’t hurt you. He brings you down to your feet. You lean against the tree, your cunt throbbing and legs wobbly. Sandor quickly pulls his pants up. He grabs his handkerchief from his back pocket to kneel down in front of you.
He looks up at you as he wipes his cum dripping out of you, he’s so tender as he wipes.  Grabbing your discarded pants, he helps you to put them back on.
“Thank you.” You said as you sat down on the ground to put on your boots.  He waits for you as he catches  his breath while leaning against the tree. He looked around for a moment, he hoped no one saw. He knew he was going to kill someone if they mention seeing him with you fucking.
“I missed you.” Sandor heard you say as you got up and walked in front of him.
“Me too.” He said as you leaned against him, hugging him. You laid your head on his chest, he wrapped his arms around you placing his chin on top of your head. Sandor had come to be comfortable doing this with you, hugging you.
He wanted to tell you that you were the first person to ever hug him. He thought what his brother would say if he saw him hugging right now. Gregor, without a doubt would’ve punched him in the face and called him a pussy.
After some time both of you walked back to retrieve the bowls then back to the main camp. You talked to Sandor about what the people from the group wanted to build next.
Sandor nodded when you mentioned their plans, walking back to the main camp to bring the bowls back. You froze when you saw the body of a woman a few feet away from you laying on the ground. You looked over at Sandor who began to look around for anyone else when an arrow was sticking out of her chest.
You quickly began to sprint further into the camp and cried out when you saw the group was dead, all of them. Their throats had been split open, others had an arrow in their chest or in their head.
“Sandor!” He heard you cry out as he walked towards you.  You were kneeling over James. The teenager had an arrow in his chest. He was gurling blood out of his mouth as he tried to speak. “They came back.” You looked up at Sandor who’s eyes darkened at his words.
“The men on the horses?” You asked as you held the boy's hand.
“Y-y-ye.” James tried to speak but his eyes closed. You looked up at Sandor and your face fell at the thought of Ray. He was the one who spoke to them.
“Ray.” You shouted looking around. Sandor quickly walked further to find Ray as well. You got up to follow him, you looked ahead to see Sandor standing still in front of the unbuilt sept.
Sandor heard you behind and turned around. “Don’t look.” He told you but you didn’t listen.
You cried as you saw Ray hanging from the half build sept. Sandor continued to stare at Ray. He didn’t deserve to die. He looked away from the body and kept looking around in case the bastards were still around. He had to keep you safe.
“We have to go.” Sandor told you as he grabbed your arm. Sandor needed to take you back to the shack, he will stand guard all night again.
“Aren't we going to find them?” You asked him, making him stop in mid step.
“What?” Sandor asked.
“I want them dead for killing Ray.” You told Sandor as your face grew angry with furrowed brows.
You wanted revenge. Sandor nodded, he wanted the same thing. Ray did not deserve it, not after everything he did for you and him.
“Let’s get our stuff first.” He told you.
Packing as fast as you can while Sandor got Stranger ready to ride, making sure his sword along with his ax was strapped on the horse. You wiped your tears quickly and walked out of the shack. You handed Sandor another pack. Sandor was about to help you saddle when you did it all by yourself. He sometimes forgets that you have changed. You weren’t the same lady that he left King’s Landing with. He noticed a knife strapped by your belt.
Sandor rode behind you on Stranger who let out a neigh as it began to walk out of camp. Sandor knew they couldn’t be far. The wounds on the people were still fresh. It was 20 minutes later when both of you heard people talking.
“Is it them?” You asked Sandor as he got off the horse first a few feet away from. Sandor grabbed his sword.
“Stay on the horse until we know for sure.” Sandor told you before walking towards them.
“Oh shit.” You heard from the other members of Brotherhood without Banners. You looked around to see them staring at you and Sandor.
“Clegane. What the fuck you doing here?” Thoros said, looking at him then at you.
“My lady.” You didn’t respond to him.
“Chasing the men who killed the group that was building the sept. We were helping build it. They killed a friend of ours.” Sandor told him.
“You have friends, Clegane?” Thoros asked, surprised.
“Not anymore.” Sandor snapped back.
“No need to chase.” Beric said then looked back at the three men about to be hanged in front of them.
“They did it. We are going to hang them.” Beric said. You grabbed the reins on Stranger, signaling the horse to walk forward.
“I’m surprised you’re still with Clegane, My lady.” Beric said as you got off Stranger and walked towards them ignoring Beric.
“Who killed him?” You asked the three men.
“Who the fuck killed the man in charge?” You yelled. The left one shouted it was the one in the middle.
“You fucker!!” The middle man shouted as he looked nervously at you and Sandor.
“I want him.” You told Beric who looked shocked.
“Give me this one.” Sandor said, pointing the one to the right since the man was eyeing you.
“My lady.” Beric spoke but you cut him off. “I want him. I’ll slit his fucking throat.” You grabbed your knife from your belt and Sandor was about to swing his sword.
“Whoa! Whoa!” Thoros said to both you and Sandor, stopping both of you.
“It’s the brotherhood's good name-“ Beric said standing in front of Sandor.
“Fuck your name. They are ours to kill. I have killed you once before. I’ll be happy to do it again.” Sandor cut him off quickly and got close to him, staring him down.
“These are our men. We will kill them. Lady Stark, this isn’t you.” You frowned at Thoros.
“These men killed our friend. Ray helped us, feed us and cloth us. These fuckers came and killed him.” You hissed looking back at the middle man who looked like he was about to shit on himself.
“Alright, we will give you two out of respect for your friend.” You looked over Sandor who gave you a nod.
Sandor raised his sword but was stopped by Beric who told him not to chop off a body part. Only hanging. You continued to stare at the man as Sandor cursed them out about being weak and how he would have killed everyone just to kill the three how he sees fit.
You sighed as you pushed the barrel softly so it could be longer for him to die. Sandor did the same, you heard Beric and Sandor talking behind you while the three men hanged to their death. All you did was watch them. Their faces turned red while their legs swung around. Sandor looked over at you when you didn’t move or even flinched when the legs of the middle guy got close to you.
What made you change? He thought. This had to be the first person you killed, right?
“Y/n?” You turned around at Sandor, he gave you a look.
“You alright?” He asked. You nodded.
He watched as you walked back to Stranger, the nod you gave him made him feel unease. He looked back at the middle and started to rip his boots off along with his belt so he could have his sword strap to his hip. He knew both of you would need better supplies for traveling up north. Both of you decided to continue the journey again to see Jon. He took the cape from the man next to him as well. Winter is coming and both of you have to be prepared for the cold.
Beric was kind enough to spare some food for you and Sandor. You kept to yourself as Beric and Thoros spoke to Sandor about the gods bringing them back together for a reason. Thoros looked over you and passed his pouch full of rum towards you. You thanked him with a nod and took a drink.
“What about you?” Beric said, looking over at you. His eyes watched you carefully then at Sandor. He was a bit worried that you had been this long with the hound. He noticed you looked different as well.
“What about me?” You asked, passing the pouch back to Thoros.
“You’re alive. Most highborn ladies aren’t cut out living like this.” You sighed at his words.
Sandor looked at you as you stared at the fire when you didn’t reply back to Beric. His words cut deep into you, you knew if it wasn’t for Sandor you would have died or worse kidnapped and raped. You would have been at the end of the cliffs sitting next to Sandor’s corpse if it wasn’t for Ray.
You shut your eyes as you kept seeing Ray swaying back and forth from the half built sept. You missed him. He was the only one who talked to you when Sandor was still sleeping. He stood by your side whenever you tended Sandor’s wound. He stood up for you when the group threatened to kick you for not contributing more when Sandor was still injured.
You felt so hopeless because you always needed someone to come to your rescue. You wished you could have protected Sandor from Brienne, you wished you could have saved Ray from being hung. You wished you were able to save your brothers, your mother and father. You were so weak and you hated yourself for it.
The only time you felt strong was that night Ray found you in the shack. Sandor was quick to place a hand on your back when you broke down in tears in front of them. Beric and Thoros stood quiet as you wept.
“I’m sorry. I miss Ray.” You told them as you wiped your tears with the back of your hand.
“I would have been dead a long time ago if it wasn’t for him and Sandor.” Beric nodded, giving you a sympathetic look.
“The gods have a plan for you as well. Think about it, you have come so far even with the help of them.” Beric said as he looked over at your shoulder when he noticed a few men from their group noticing you crying. They began to stare at you as they talked among themselves.
Sandor followed his gaze to the group a few feet away from them. Sandor moved closer to you. His legs practically pushed against yours. He was ready to kill any fucker that would come close to you.
“Why don’t you join us? Both of you. We need your help. Something is coming this way. We are part of something larger. We need good people to help us.”
Beric watched as Sandor passed a piece of jerky to you when you finally calmed down.  Thoros and Beric shared a look. Sandor Celgane, the hound is being nice.
“I need to go to Jon.” You told them.
“Jon Snow, he’s Lord Commander of the night watch.” Beric said, making you smile at your brother's accomplishment.
“He’s the only family I have left. We were going to see him.” You didn’t know if your sisters were alive, Jon is your last resort.
“We want to go beyond the walls. Let’s travel together since we are headed in the same direction.” He suggested. You let Sandor decide, you knew he would pick what was best.
“Any of your men touch her. I’ll gut them alive.” Sandor said to Beric and Thoros.
“I do the same if they do.” Thoros admits looking between Sandor and you.
Riding alone was something you had to get used to quickly, they had extra horses since the hanging. You missed the heat Sandor gave when he rode behind you. You missed the conversations and being close to him. Sandor had told you that he would prefer to have you ride in front of him where he can see you. Beric rode beside you while Thoros rode next to Sandor. You couldn’t help but laugh as they bickered like children behind you.
Sandor swore that Thoros’ top knot was a wig while Thoros gave Sandor the nickname grouchy old bear. Vulgar insults were thrown at each other.
“Beric?” You called out to the man as you both rode next to each other.
“Yes, my lady.” He answered looking over at you.
“Do you truly believe in the gods?” You question him as you try to ignore the bickering behind you.
“I do. I have been dead 6 times and brought back.”
“I want to tell you something.” Beric looked at you worried but nodded.
“Sandor was hurt. Really bad and I  felt his heart stop beating many times but he always came back. There was a woman in the group who said she saw the children of the forest. Everyone thought she was crazy but I didn’t. My father believed they were real but went extinct a long time ago.” You said remember the girl and how her face lit up when telling you stories about them. You felt sad when you remembered seeing her on the ground with her throat slit open. She was the only kind person to you beside Ray.
“She found me one day and said she spoke to them about Sandor. They gave her something. A flower, they told her to make a medicine out of it. A paste.” Beric watched as your eyes got teary.
“I did it and Beric it worked. Sandor had his bone sticking out his knee. I thought the scar would have never healed but it did. If you see it, it’s just a line now. I’m telling you this because I don’t know what to believe anymore. If the gods were real, why was my father, a good man, beheaded? Why was my mother and brothers murdered but I was spared?”
“The gods almost took Sandor away from me. They would have if it wasn’t for the children of the forest.” You said.
Beric was quiet for a second before speaking. “Y/n, it’s alright to feel conflicted about believing in the gods or something else. It’s what makes humans. Who knows why the children of the forest helped or why you were spared. I ask myself the same question everyday, every hour. Why me? Why am I alive? I’ll tell you something, I knew we were going to cross paths again, Clegane and you.” Your eyes widen by his words.
“I saw it in the flames. Us riding together going up north.”
“When I tell you, my lady. That we are part of something I was not bullshitting, maybe it’s the new god, old gods, every fucking god there is and the children of the forest working as one. Now that we are together, we need to find out why. ”
“You know, Ned talked about you a lot.” He spoke after a brief moment of silence.
“He loved you dearly. He always said that the new and old gods bless him with a child like you. The men and I didn’t think anything of it at first. We just thought it was because you were his first daughter but seeing you now alive after everything. I believe him now.” Beric told you, your heart grew heavy at the thought of your father.
“You girls done gossiping? Let’s set up camp?” Thoros shouted from behind.
Sandor and you sat together away from the group for some privacy. Sandor rubbed his hands together as he stared at the small fire a few feet away from him. He wanted to ask you something that's been on his mind for a while now.  That night he saw you sleeping on the ground with a knife in your hand. He wanted to know what made you change while he was asleep.
“I can hear you thinking.” He looked over you, seeing you smiling at him as you stretched your legs. You were sitting on a log next to him.
“What’s wrong?” You asked, grabbing his hand that was on his knee.
“Have you killed anyone else?” He asked you, making you pause.
You wanted to lie and say no. You didn’t want to cause any problems but you knew Sandor would just know you were lying. You didn’t want to get him angry.
You nodded, “Aye, I have.”
Sandor turned to you with a look that made you remove your hand from his. You grew worried.
“You were still asleep and some man from the group thought he could have his way with me. He came one night.” Sandor frowned and started to breathe heavily.
“He tried to kill you first and I knew right then and there. If I didn't kill him right away we both would have been dead.”
“I remembered what you told me, aim for the heart. I grabbed a knife where I kept your sword and rammed it into his chest. I didn’t stop until I heard Ray calling out for me.”
“Your hand?” Sandor asked, grabbing your hand to see the healed scar on the palm of hand.
“He tried to kill you. I wasn’t going to let that happen. I grabbed his knife and pushed him.”  Sandor traced the scar with his thumb.
“You changed, little wolf. I’m sorry. I wasn’t there to help.”
“Without your teaching, I would have been raped or dead.” You told Sandor.
Sandor was about to say something when you spoke something that was troubling you.
“I liked it. The killing. The look on his face, his blood, the scent of it. The power I felt and all I can see was Joffrey, Ceresi, the Freys, and fucking everyone who betrayed or hurted us.”
“I thought of your brother as well for hurting you.” You told Sandor as you looked at him nervously.
“I know you never told me but I know. Little finger told me. I’m sorry that happened to you.”
“What else do you know?” Sandor asked, ignoring the apology.
“Your fear with fire.” You said softly. “I've seen it.”
Sandor nodded as he looked at you. He kinda already knew that you were aware about the story of his face but he didn’t know that you knew about his fear of fire. He tried to keep it hidden from you.
“The night of the battle of Blackwater. Everything was on fire and all I thought about was you. I was so scared that the fires would get to you in the castle.”
“You still want me?” Sandor asked nervously.
“What?!” You asked..
“Do you still want to be with a man who's afraid of fire?”
“Of course, I do.” You told him, going between his legs, kneeling in front of him.
“What about you, do you still want me? I don’t look like a lady anymore or act like one now.” Sandor grinned as he shook your head at your nonsense question.
“Your lady is a murder now?” You added.
“You aren’t! You protected yourself. It’s defense.” Sandor told you tugging you closer to him.
“I’m proud of you.” Sandor said with a nod. Sandor wasn’t a man of many words but he really was proud of you.
“So do I get a reward for keeping my man safe?” You asked as you pulled Sandor down to face you. You kissed scarred cheek making him chuckle.
Your man, Sandor, loves the sound of that.
“What do you want, little wolf?” He asked as your lips started to head towards his neck. He quickly looked at his surroundings making sure no one was looking. Most were already asleep or talking among themselves. He let out a soft whine when you pulled the collar of the tunic shirt down to kiss his chest, your fingers touching his soft chest hair.
“What does my little wolf want?” Sandor asked again as he grabbed your chin making you look up at him. He stared down at you with hooded eyes, you let out a shy giggle under his gaze.
“I want you.” You whispered to him. Sandor immediately leaned down to kiss you on the lips.
Snow started to fall and the air started to get colder as the group made their way up north Each day you got more excited to get to Castle Rock. You longed to see Jon. You wanted to hug him and tell him about everything. You wanted to tell him about Sandor. You hoped Jon knew something about your sisters. You hoped Sansa was alive as well as Arya. You forgave her a long time ago for wishing your death. You couldn’t be mad at her. Sandor took her friend's life but you understood that he did because the King ordered him too.
Death was something you thought a lot about even before Kings Landing. You were glad that your father told you about it when you were younger. He didn’t shield you from the world as your mother shielded Sansa.
“It happens to everyone. We must not fear death. For death comes to everyone.”
You told Sandor the exact same words that your father told you. It was after Joffrey showed you and Sansa your father‘s head on a spike. He found you on the balcony again later that day, Tears rolling down your face as you stared at your father and Sansa’s septon. The older woman was kind even when Sansa wasn’t.
He immediately gave you a handkerchief as he stood by you. You grabbed it, giving him a nod of thank you.
“You’re not afraid.” He said looking at you. You didn’t flinch like Sansa did when she first saw it.  You repeated your father’s words to Sandor.
“Your father was a smart man.” You shook your head.
“If he was smart, he wouldn’t have gotten himself killed.” You said looking at Sandor who looked shocked at your words.
“He was up to something and he didn’t tell me. I don’t know why. I would have helped him. Now he’s fucking dead, leaving my sisters and I in this shit hole.” Sandor watched as you turned around to face the wall and played with his handkerchief in your hands.
“You aren’t like the little bird.” You chuckled at him and agreed. You were nothing like Sansa. She was mostly with your mother while you were closer to your father.
“Unlike her I learned how the world works at a young age. I learned what my place would be the moment I bled for the first time. That was the moment I realized that the stories I read when I was a child about kind, merciful kings and honorable knights were really just fantasy.”
Sandor listened attentively as you spoke. You were perhaps the only lady he ever met that spoke the truth and for some reason it made him feel sad. You weren’t a horrible person, you were kind to everyone, especially to him. You deserve the honorable knight and the kind and merciful king. He thought to himself. You’re tough and he liked it but sometimes it bit you right in the ass when it came with Joffrey. Sandor realizes at the moment near the bridge that he likes you and he will protect your sister and you from the monsters living in King’s Landing.
You knew you should have told Sandor something was not right with you as the days passed. You noticed your moonblood hasn’t started for a while but you didn't think anything of it. Your mother has told you when a lady is under tremendous stress and hasn't been eating properly. Her moonblood would often not come.
You couldn’t remember the last time you had a good meal or a good sleep. Sandor would give you his share but you always decline. You knew Sandor needed more than you. He wouldn’t let you lift a finger when both of you joined the group. He hunted for food  at dawn with a man who was good with a bow and arrow. He chopped up the woods for the fires every night and morning. Sandor had you stay with Beric and Thoros most of the time.
You haven’t been able to sleep at night as much as you tried to snuggle with Sandor. Sleep wouldn’t come to you. You began to worry as cold chills ran through your body.
“What’s wrong?” Sandor asked when he saw you haven’t eaten your ration yet. You had placed the bowl on the ground as you hunched over near the fire. You tugged the fur cape around you when your body started to shake.
“I’m not hungry.” Beric overheard you and walked toward Sandor and you.
“What do you mean? You haven’t eaten this morning and last night.” Sandor knelt down to get close to your face.
“I don’t feel good.” You whispered as you felt the tears welled up in your eyes. You felt like shit, your body was aching. Your fingers and toes felt like they were going to fall off from the cold.
Sandor stood up and looked over his shoulder to see Beric walking towards him.
“She’s sick.” Sandor told him as Beric got closer.
“Fuck, we past by the only town five days ago. It should be a week until we reach the wall.” Thoros came walking in listening to them.
“I didn’t see a maester in the town we passed.” Thoros told them since he was the one gathering supplies for the group. Sandor let out a sigh, he didn’t see one either but that didn’t mean there wasn’t one for sure.
Sandor came back to you, kneeling down in front of you again as Beric and Thoros stood a few feet behind him.
“Y/n.” Sandor said your name softly trying to catch your attention but you kept staring off into the distance.
“We are a week away from the wall. The town we passed by was five days ago. We don’t know if there is a maester in that town for sure. Are you able to hold on for a week?” When you didn’t answer he grew nervous. He noticed you were dozing off.
“What do you want to do?” He asked, cupping your face trying to get your attention.
“I don’t feel so good.” You mumbled. Sandor felt his stomach drop when he touched your forehead, you had a fever.
“I’ll go back to town and come back as fast as I can.” He said as he got up. His words snapped you right out of your disorientated trance.
“Don’t leave me. Please.” You pleaded, grabbing his hand.
“I’ll be fine. We keep moving forward.” Sandor looked over to Beric and Thoros. You took a deep breath and rubbed your eyes with the palm of your hand. You didn’t want to be away from him.
“Try to eat something.” You shook your head. “For me.” Sandor pleaded.
He grabbed your bowl of warm soup and he sat next to you. Sandor tilted the bowl in your mouth so you could drink straight from the bowl. You didn’t realize you had slept after he fed you. The men from the group watched as Sandor warmed you as you slept, rubbing your arms and back as you leaned against him.
The second day you weren’t able to ride anymore. You were looking ahead when you felt lightheaded. You let go of the reins and fell off your horse onto the cold snowed ground. Last thing you heard before passing out was Sandor yelling your name. The group knew Sandor was at his last wits when you still hadn't woken up on the fourth day. Sandor wiped the sweat off your forehead and kept the fire burning near you. He rubbed your freezing hands with his warm ones.  They helped Sandor, carrying you up to get on top of Stranger, Sandor kept one arm around you so you wouldn’t fall off as they kept riding to the wall.
The fifth day, the weather was horrible. The cold wind blew harshly and the horses were growing tired. Beric decided they should set camp when one of the men in the group announced he knew a small cottage ahead. Sandor kept quiet when the familiar cottage came to his view.
Sandor wanted to keep going for your sake but another harsh wind blew and it made him shake. He had given his only fur to you but the fever was growing stronger. Sandor would be up until dawn wiping the sweat from your face. Every hour he would place his head on your chest to hear your heart making sure you were still alive.
He would be anxious as he held you closer to the fire during breaks. His eyes would look away from the flames and stare down at you. He had to be close to the fire to warm your hands and feet. Beric noticed the look Sandor had whenever he was near the fire. He offered to hold you near the fire but Sandor would always tell him to fuck off.
At night he hugged you from behind as he sat on the ground. His back against the tree while the small fire Thoros had made for him was near him. Sandor’s body shook behind you, his forehead pressed against the back of your head.  He didn’t want to look at the fire not while he was this close to it.
He knew he had to get over his fear for you, every night he tried his best. He wasn’t going to let you freeze to death so he knew he had too. He tried his best to calm his shallow breathing. He shut his eyes and his mind tends to wander off that night in the tavern where you confessed your love to him.
He didn’t understand why you were sick. Beric and Thoros threw around ideas about your illness. Something you ate, perhaps the water. Ideas were said but in the end they weren’t maesters, they didn't know much. Sandor held you tighter when they got near the cottage. He wondered if the farmer and daughter were still there.
“Let’s stay for the night.” Beric said, the group agreed.  Thoros held the door open as Sandor carefully carried you inside. Beric grabbed the blankets from the packs to lay it on the only bed in the room for you.
The rest store the horses in the stable for the night, one by one they enter the small place. Thoros started a fire in the fireplace. He looked over at you in pity as you slept. He shut his eyes and recited a little prayer for you.
“The weather will set us back at least three days.” Beric said as Sandor took off his cape to drape it over you. He sat at the corner of the bed with a sigh.
“I wonder where the farmer went.” Beric said loudly as he placed his pack on the table looking around at the place.
Sandor kept quiet, ‘somewhere safe.’ He thought. At that moment, he looked over to you when you started to moan in pain as you moved around in the bed. Sandor was quick to get up and lean over you. He called your name out as he grabbed your hand but as soon as he did you stopped. Sandor took a deep breath as he tried not to get angry. He felt so useless that he couldn’t help you.
“I can go to the wall now. I’ll take my horse and won’t stop until I bring a fucking maester back here.” Sandor said. He was about to take his cape when Beric shook his head.
“You won’t make it, not in this weather. Be realistic.” Beric told him. Sandor grew mad at his words.
“Then what the fuck do I do?! She hasn't woken up in days. She hasn’t broken the fever. What do I do then? Why don’t you ask your fucking lord of light?” Sandor hissed at him.
“You said we were part of something but she’s dying now.” Sandor cried out as he looked between Beric and Thoros.
“It was probably just a fucking lie you told us. You knew since she’s a Stark that Snow would grant you access to pass through the wall. So you can do whatever the fuck your lord told you to do.” Sandor said.
Sandor didn’t notice but Beric flashed a look of anger. He wouldn’t have done that to Ned’s daughter, he respected him. He respected you.
Thoros looked away from the fire then at Sandor. “Clegane.” He called out.
“Come here. I want to show you something.” Thoros said when Sandor didn’t move Thoros told him, “Don't worry, the fire won’t bite.”
Sandor rolled his eyes as he took a deep breath. If it wasn’t for you being sick he would have killed everyone in this room. He can imagine you trying to calm him down.
“It’s my fucking luck. I ended up with a band of fire worshippers.” He said as he stood up and walked towards Thoros.
“Almost seems like divine justice.” Beric spoke, making Sandor scoff as he stood a few feet away from the fire.
“There’s no divine justice, you dumb cunt. If there were, then you would be dead and Y/n would be well.”
“Look in the flames.” Thoros said  Sandor shook his head.
“I don’t wanna look in the damn flames.” Sandor answered back. Thoros sighed.
“You saw me bring him back from the dead after you killed him. Don’t you want to know what gave me the power?”
“Well, I keep fucking asking and no one wants to tell me.” Sandor answered, looking at him and Beric.
“We can’t tell you. Only the fire can tell you.” Thoros told him Sandor rolled his eyes as he walked closer towards the fireplace.
“What do you see?”
“Logs burning.” Sandor blatantly said.
“Keep looking.”
Sandor was thinking about pushing Thoros into the fire for a second but he relaxed and kept looking. He watched as the flames grew. Sandor felt the hair on the back of neck stand up when he saw an image of ice, a wall of ice, the wall that meets the sea. He held his breath when the images started to move.
“Ice, the wall that meets the sea. Thousands of dead people are marching past.” Beric rose up from his seat and walked toward him.
Sandor flinched when the log broke and the fire got bigger. “There’s a wolf.”
Beric and Thoros look at each other.  “A big fucking wolf on a mountain staring at me.”
Thoros was about to speak when you started to cough. The men jumped at the sound of it. Sandor quickly walked over to you.
“Y/n!” He calls your name out as Beric hands him a pouch of water.
You felt Sandor’s warm hand on your face as he helped you pour some water in your mouth. You greedily drank the water. You opened your eyes to see Sandor staring down at you worried as he wiped your mouth with his thumb.
“Sandor.” You say his name. “I’m here.”
Sandor can see your chest heaving, you were moaning in pain as you laid back down. He grabbed your hands with his.
“I saw my father.” You croak out.
“And mother and Robb.” You cried to him.
“I miss them so much.” You sob. Sandor bit his bottom lip hard to not cry with you. The sight of you sick and crying. He didn’t like it one bit. He felt so hopeless.
“Tell Jon I love him.” Sandor heard you say. He shook his head and he squeezed your hands.
“You’ll tell him yourself, you hear me. We are almost there.” Sandor tells you firmly. Sandor feels your hands shaking in his. He brings your hands to his mouth and blows into your hands trying to warm you up.
“I love you.” You whisper at him, Sandor freezes when your hands go limp in his grasp.  Sandor was quick to lay his head on your chest when your eyes closed. He can still hear your heart beating, it was slow. The group of men stayed silent as they heard soft sniffling from Sandor. They were smart enough not to say anything, for they knew Sandor would kill them for even speaking about you. Sandor laid with you on the bed keeping you warm, he couldn’t stop the silent tears rolling down his face.
Beric was right, the storm caused them to delay for three days. Sandor walked those three days as Stranger pulled the wagon they found in the barn. You laid there with furs and capes given to you by the men of the group. They were 10 miles away when one of the wildlings found them. Sandor had told them who you were and they were quick to let the group in.

How the clone leaders react to getting a kiss on the cheek for helping you
Rex: He blushes from head to toe. He looks stunned, eyes wide and darting everywhere, as you pull away. The 501st doesn’t spend much time among civilians, often deployed to the frontlines for their consistent effectiveness, so the captain is unaccustomed to gestures of gratitude. He stumbles and mumbles a quick and low “thank you” before clearing his throat and giving a curt nod. On a dime, he blanches, shakes his head, and corrects himself, “Uh, oh, I mean, you’re welcome.” He sighs, winces, and closes his eyes as he shakes his head again.
Cody: He looks at you fondly, leans down, and places a hand on your elbow as you lean in. “Happy to help,” he says warmly. His smile is genuine, not just polite. As marshal commander, he interacts with more people than the other clone leaders, and as the Great Negotiator’s second-in-command, he’s become adept at diplomacy. He understands the need to represent his brothers well to the public and welcomes any small gesture of goodwill.
Howzer: He remains at parade rest throughout, a tight smile on his lips. “Just doing my duty,” he says politely before quickly moving on. He’s spent an inordinate amount of time with the civilian population of Ryloth, more than most clones whose campaigns usually last a few rotations before decamping to a new planet, so he’s familiar with their manners and customs. He’s ambivalent about these kinds of gestures, thinks they’re both unnecessary and yet a happy reminder of his competency.
Gregor: He won’t see it coming, and when he does, he freezes. He giggles and touches his cheek as you pull away. “What was that for,” he asks, slightly incredulous, and when you tell him, he huffs and follows confidently with, “Guess I should help you more often.” And you believe he actually will.
Wolffe: He’s at attention, his hands balled behind his back straight as an ironing board, but he tilts at the waist so you can reach his cheek. His eyes cant slightly in your direction, the corner of his mouth tugging up and his left eye wrinkling as you pull away. “My pleasure,” he purrs, low and sweet. As commander of the battalion typically tasked with rescue and recovery, he’s used to receiving thanks, and you quickly realize he enjoys this particular show of gratitude. He feels he’s earned it.
Fox: He still has his helmet on, but that doesn’t stop you. He sees you start to lean in and cuts you off immediately. “That’s not necessary,” he says sternly and walks away. The Coruscant Guard resents not being on the battlefront. Not that they think their work is below them, but they don’t feel their actions warrant such rewards when their brothers are dying throughout the galaxy.

S3 is once again killing me again with all the lore and I love it. School started up so I might be slower with my thoughts but I got episodes 92, 93, 94 and 95 to talk about!!!
MAG 92: Nothing Beside Remains
Elias makes me want to eat my phone, similar to that one guy from MAG 65 :) I was like screaming the whole time. Of course he can see everything, he literally called the police before Daisy came. I took that as "oh he has spies" but no he can see everything, I hate that. Is Jon eventually gonna get that ability or does The Eye give different gifts. Elias hasn't shown any "compellling" sort of power so I assume the latter. ALSO MORDECAI LUKAS?? I need to see a statement from a Lukas member cause what is up with that family, I'm dying.
Guess Basira is now working there. Hope Elias is paying her. the fact he won't tell Jon shit is so funny to me. So The Stranger is now, basically, the confirmed main villain. BBEG yknow? Mildly terrified, I hate circuses and mannequins so this season is gonna like body me
Not much to say on MAG 93 but whatever entity has the whole "gross shit" as its deal, I'm guessing this falls under it. Purple fungus, the obsessive cleaning, etc. Also yaaay Breekon and Hopes!! Again!11!! get out! Poor Georgie. Love her for being like "Do you even have qualifications??". Jons explanation helped me a lot because during Elias's explanations, I'm mostly just muttering curses to myself because I HATE Him. Avatars. Baller. So Jude Perry was the avatar of The Desolation (destruction, fire, etc) Michael Crew was the avatar of The Vast (sky??, emptiness, general loneliness) and then like Jon is an avatar and I'm guessing so is Elias. I think you can have more then one avatar but anyways.
MAG 94: Dead Woman Walking
Jon refereed to the entity as "The End" which, using my notes, was mentioned in Mary keys statement when gertrude asked where the book came from and Mary said "The End" and said she could never serve it, not finding death interesting. Wild that she can't feel fear anymore??? Like damn. This kinda read as someone in a depressive state in some form. Or like a nihilistic person. Cause like "everything ends, time, it has already ended". Wild.
Not much to say on MAG 95 but I did understand the context vaguely which is more then what I can say for the other war statements. Also Martin and Basira friendship??? Love it. She gets really engrossed in books. I dunno if she was like lying or this is something supernatural related but I love Basira
MAG 96: Return to Sender
Literally screeching oh my god. The fact these things just hijacked this mans business is almost funny. They also talked with a circus ringmaster. Nikola Orsinov? gregor Orsinov? A different one. the statement was given 1996 and Gregor was the leader around the 40's but Nikola, by her description I think, sounded young. So. Who was this ringmaster? Maybe Im getting the timeframe wrong. or they're like eternal. Maybe they like just shed skin and steal a new body, just going by the same last name- okay I don't know.
Also, SARAH BALDWIN???? Welcome back girl. The fact the gorilla skin was stolen by gertrude means she was trying to stop The Unknowing, and likely that's why its been this long for it to happen, because they need that skin. Ew. The Stranger loves skin a little too much. Also Sarah being filled with sawdust and cloves. Great. If Not Sasha was shot, would we have seen that? Or is it different with every one of those, NotThem.?
Anyways, I think that's everything. Every statement, I'm kinda thinking, "which entity does this fall under" now that I know the surrounding universe. Tough since I only know 6 by name and I think there's more. 6 too many entities for this world though

Rising Star
Welcome back, I hope that you’re all still enjoying the story, and are sharing it with those you think would enjoy it. Last time we were saying good night to our celestial duo, and asking where to go. Our results were:
Those druids are waiting, let’s visit them
So let’s see how they’re doing.
Once more plunging into the depths of the seemingly endless forests, Star was mildly regretting accepting the request from the mayor. Visiting his father-in-law to drop off the scroll was not something she considered in her field of expertise. However, she was an academia student and that didn’t exactly pay when classes weren’t in session.
At least this time there was a worn and marked path leading them, and not the overgrown, barely blazed trail  that led to and from the tower. While she may just be a researcher for the rest of her life, hopefully, if she were to set up a tower, she would make a one or two story library with a well marked, paved, and lit.
She would be able to step out for a glass of wine or cup of tea, and not have to portal all over the planet.
Not having magic meant that this was all supposition, and judging by the pack of wolves that were now flanking them, and probably had been for a while, she imagined that the druids knew they were coming. The lingering thought that they’d been there for a while, was not just as comforting as she hoped supposedly friendly animals would be.
The wolves kept them on the path, one of the younger ones daring to come closer and snuffle at the humans, giving the horse a wide berth. Whatever they were checking for, the wolf seemed satisfied as they licked playfully at Luna’s hand and bounded down the trail with its tail wagging.
Sharing a look with the bard, she felt some of her tension melt as she saw her laughing and shaking her head at the antics. The setting sun was casting a golden glow to the woods, and they could make out the wooden huts and several more animals running around a clearing. Based on what she’d read, that might be the glen up ahead.
The massive mountain of a man wearing a cloak of feathers and waving a staff to get their attention, she would risk a guess that was the man they were to meet with. Pulling out the scroll case, she picked up her pace. “Are you the mayor’s father-in-law?”
“Yes, how is little Gregor? He and my son have been so busy,” the man offered while stroking his gray speckled beard before taking the scroll. Pulling out the start, he gave it a quick glance before furling it back up. “Thank you for bringing this.”
She thought about the large man she had met, and decided to hold off questioning the nickname ‘little’ for him, and answer the question. “He is well, and happy, they saw us off this morning, both are healthy and happy.”
“Good, good, I will have to make a trip to see them again. But come, have a meal with us and share a tale or two. We will give you a place to rest, and show you a shortcut in the morning.”
Luna let out a laugh that caught Star off-guard, causing her to turn and look at the bard. She was currently being tackled and licked by the pack of wolves. “I believe we will stay, thank you.”
What shall we find out tonight?
Revealing the history of the druids.
The druid magic still works

A Lady & Her Hounds
Chapter 2 (+18)
The Hound x Fem!Reader (Jon Arryn's daughter; Sabrina)
This chapter contains: SA | Family death | Fluff
Word Count: 1233
Tumblr media
As your days passed you mostly read books about nature, biology, and adventures. you hated being stuck in that place knowing that your father would soon make you wed some lord just out of political interests. You saw Clegane almost every day since your father made sure you made your presence known to the king and his visitors. He didn't really like acknowledging you, but you didn't care and always looked at him whenever something ridiculous happened and you knew he wouldn't be able to fully hide his emotions.
One day while you were reading in the gardens, he came to you.
"The king requests your presence at once." He stood there waiting for you to accompany him.
"What is the matter?" You were confused since the king never addressed you without your father around.
"Your father..." He tried to sound less harsh than usual.
You followed him to your fathers chambers, where the king and your step mother gathered around the bed. Your father laid there, lifeless. You ran to him, as tears started running down your eyes. You held his face, it felt so cold.
"I will be leaving for The Eyrie with Robin in the morrow." Lysa announced.
"You won't be staying for the funeral?" The king asked.
"No, Robin wants to go home, he is very fragile at the moment." You rolled your eyes. Robin had no fault that his mother babied him so much, almost in a sick way, but you still felt complete detachment from your half brother.
"Don't worry Sabrina, you will stay here. I promised your father I would help you find a good man to wed you off" The king thought he was doing a great favor. In reality you didn't want to stay, but you didn't want to be with Lysa and Robin either.
You wanted to go back to taking care of your dogs. Walking on the hills of the Vale with your pack of loyal pups. Laying on the grass fields reading a book while they played and ran around. It was freedom. That's what you were missing.
"Thank you, your grace."
"I will however leave for Winterfell soon, would you care to join us?" You considered going, but since most of the king's family would be leaving, you thought staying there would be a better way to heal.
"I appreciate the invitation though I think it is better to stay, your grace." You thanked him thinking you would enjoy your days of freedom in the castle.
The king left a couple days later in the beginning everything was fine, but then you realized the King left the wrong Clegane to look after you. The Mountain was not like Sandor. He did not have boundaries or ideals. It was just brute force and cruelty. One night as you were walking into the library Ser Gregor followed you. He didn't say anything, he got closer and you knew something bad was about to happen.
"Ser Gregor what-" You were interrupted by his hands grabbing your neck and pushing your back to the wall. You tried to scream, but you couldn't breathe. You were able to scratch his eye with your nails and he backed up. You gasped for air and tried to run, but he grabbed your wrist and slapped your face so hard your bottom lip started bleeding. He wanked you toward the table and as you were struggling to get out he was pulling up your dress trying to get access to your ass. You screamed for help, but heard the horns meaning that the king was back.
"No one is gonna hear you now My Lady." He was right. With the King arriving everyone would go back to their working stations or to the front of the Red Keep. You started to cry as you heard him unbuckling his pants.
"You might want to consider joining the other knights at the main room to welcome your king Ser". Lord Varys stood at the door. Gregor let go of you and walked away angrily. Varys approached you.
"Are you alright my dear?" He helped you stand up.
"N- No..." Your legs were shaking. "Should we inform the king, my lord?" Varys sighed.
"Lady Sabrina, unfortunately it is more likely that the king sends you away. After all, you're only here as a favor to your deceased father." He was right. You knew the king did not want to deal with extra tasks especially related to someone who is not really important to the court now. It is obvious that Ser Gregor wouldn't try this with anyone with an important title, but right now your title was almost meaningless.
"Go on My lady, if you would like I will send a maester to check on you." You thanked him and walked to your chambers, as you got to the door you noticed you didn't bring the book you wanted from the library. You made your way back to the library trying to keep your legs from giving in. You went inside swiftly, grabbed your book and on your way out a huge man appeared. Your legs give in, you drop the book, fall to your knees and start hyperventilating.
"P-Please Ser Gregor d-don't." You begged quietly.
"What are you talking about girl?" The familiar grumpy voice made you look up. Sandor kneeled down to grab your book and noticed the bruises on your lip, and then on your wrists and neck. He took out a little cloth and cleaned the blood off your lip. You could barely look at him. You felt so humiliated. He helped you up and you suddenly noticed that your dress was ripped, more loose, falling off your left shoulder and almost exposing your breast.
"My brother did this to you?" he asked. You nodded and as you looked at him your tears rolled down. Your legs started shaking again and you felt like you were about to fall. Sandor gently placed your arm over his shoulder and grabbed your legs to carry you. You took the opportunity to hug his shoulders and bury your face on his neck, crying over the trauma you experienced just before.
"It's alright, you're alright now" His voice was soothing and you felt completely safe in his arms. It was actually a long way until your chambers, but it felt so short. All you wanted was for that man to hold you for the rest of the night, but clearly that was not an appropriate thing to ask of him.
He took you inside, sat you down on the bed and handed you the book. He didn't know exactly what to say. He grabbed the falling piece of dress and put it back up on your shoulder. You flinched when you felt his fingers brushing against your skin. The softness and warmth of your skin surprised him. He cleared his throat and left.
You heard him talking to some of the maids outside, soon later two maids and a maester appeared. The maids prepared a bath for you and helped you get out of your dress. The maester instructed you to drink a suspicious tea and take some milk of the poppy to sleep better. After your bath you chose to not drink the tea, but the few drops of milk of the poppy made you fall asleep very quickly.

Plan 24
Summery: Rex and the gang show up to Pabu with Senator Riyo Chuchi to give some supplies and support to the clones who were rescued from Tantiss, as well as a little R&R for themselves. But Tiha, the resident Jedi and the Bad Batch are ready to turn this visit into a war zone. But this isn't your typical battle... Oh no.... This is a water fight.
Characters: Rex, Gregor, Echo, Howzer, Senator Riyo Chuchi, Tiha (my OC), Mox, Deke, Stak, Taps (clone OC), Omega and the Bad Batch.
Word Count: 5.8k (don't look at me like that)
Warnings: maybe a few swear words, but mostly fluff and fun.
Prompts: Water Guns and "It's not what you think". This is for the "Summer of the Bad Batch" prompt challenge week 1! @summer-of-bad-batch
A/N: apparently I have no self control and don't understand the meaning of "short oneshot". I told myself no new OCs, keep it short and sweet and use a story you already have going..... I don't listen 🤣. I blame @kybercrystals94 for hosting this amazing prompt challenge and for being my cheerleader and hyping me us as I wrote this. I hope you enjoy! (Also if anyone would like to find out more about Tiha Wenn, my Jedi OC *she maybe returning😏* please hit me up, I have pictures of her and all kinds of info on her if you are interested!)

Echo, Rex, Howzer and Gregor were bringing Senator Riyo Chuchi to Pabu to meet with Shep and bring some supplies for the clones that had chosen to stay and leave the fight behind for some much needed R&R. It was also a chance for a little R&R for themselves too. Echo and Gregor landed the ship at the top of the village on the landing pad, letting the ramp slide down as they followed the Senator down the steps they were greeted by Mox, Deke and Taps, a Clone who had been saved from Tantiss.
"Troopers." Rex said with a nod of his head, before glancing around looking for a specific bunch of clones. "Where is Omega and the boys at?" He asked after not finding them anywhere near the landing pad.
"We are here to take the Senator to safety at Shep's house." Mox spoke up as he stepped forward. Riyo glanced at Rex and Echo before looking back at the young clones.
"Safety?" She questioned.
"From what?" Gregor spoke up as well as he glanced around the seemingly quiet island. That's when Taps stepped forward, a bag that had been slung over his shoulder hitting the ground. Different types and sizes of blasters tumbled out of the bag. Howzer picked up one of these blasters and looked it over. After feeling the odd weight of it he glanced up at Taps with a raised eyebrow.
"These blasters have water in them." He deadpanned as he tossed the weapon over to Echo. "What's going on here?" Mox just smiled as he took Riyo's hand and pulled her away from the clones a bit. Just as he was about to speak up, Tiha walked up to the group, hands open in a welcoming gesture. She had been the Jedi the Batch had helped during a mission, and had since then become a member of the group.
"It's so good to see you again Echo." She said with a quick hug and a pat on the back. He smiled as he placed his real hand onto her back, giving her a small squeeze. "Men, it's good to see you all well. You too, Senator."
"Good to see you too, General. So what's going on here? What's with the blasters filled with water?" Echo pointed to the bag on the ground. Tiha gave him a grin that held nothing but mischief, her eyes sparking. She bent down and picked up a blaster and gave it a small shake, letting the sound of the water inside slush around.
"This Gentleman is why the Senator needs to be taken to safety. Which Mox, Deke and I will be making sure of. As for you, Stak and Taps will be setting you up at your base of operations. Plan strategically, Omega doesn't always play fair."
Rex stepped forward and waved a hand at the water guns. "And what exactly are we supposed to do with them?"
Tiha and Riyo both smiled, the Senator catching onto what was going on. "Why Captain, I would think you would know a clear sign of war was." The Senator spoke up.
"She's right. The team with the last man standing is the winner. Wet kit or shirt, you're dead. Have fun!" Tiha said with a wave of her hand as Mox, Deke and herself walked down the stone pathway with Riyo in tow. The Jedi and the Senator walked side by side, chuckling at the still confused looks on their faces.
"How much of a chance do you think they got?" Riyo asked softly as they made their way down the stone stairs that lead to Shep's house. Tiha chuckled and shook her head, casting a glance towards "The Nest" that sat high above Shep's house. That was Crosshair and Omega's favorite place to watch the island below, being able to see everything and everyone from there. A flash of metal caught her eye and she knew at least one of them was already parched up there.
"Honestly, Rex and the boys don't stand a chance."
••••••••
Omega was up in The Nest with Crosshair, watching the world below them. Crosshair used his scope from his firepuncher on his water sniper, watching Rex and his men move about the landing pad, real blasters left in their ship, water guns now strapped to their hips and backs. He gained as they used the landing pad as their base, but only Howzer remained behind, Echo, Rex and Gregor wandered down the stone path into the high parts of the village. Omega watched as well through her own scope, one he had made her, that was strapped to her own snipper like water gun.
"Havoc 1, come in." Omega said into her comm as she leaned back against the wood siding of The Nest.
"Go for Havoc 1."
"The King and his guards are on the move."
Hunter's deep chuckle came across the comm, the code names making him laugh. "What's your plan Mega?"
"Bad Batch, plan 24." Omega said over the group comm, letting Wrecker in on the conversation. He lets out a whoop, before the comms went silent. Crosshair gave her a side smirk, before moving to her place in The Nest. She moved closer to the pole that was attached to the side, grabbing hold before giving him a two finger salute and sliding down the pole to the ground below. Once her feet hit the ground she made her way through the narrow pathway that led to Shep's back porch. Keeping low, snipper strapped to her back and water pistol now in hand, she made her way through the back gate.
"I see the games have begun." The voice made Omega jump out of her skin as she spun around to find the owner of the voice. There, sitting at the long table was Tiha and Riyo, drinks in hand as they watched the young teenager. Placing a hand over her heart she took a deep breath before smiling.
"First off you scared me. And second off yes, the plan has been set." She nodded towards her water gun and then back to Tiha. "Not too late to join the fight, General."
Tiha and Riyo both smiled and shook their heads before Riyo took a sip of her drink. She had changed into a soft pair of pants, a tight fitting shirt and her hair was now pulled into a high ponytail. Tiha was closely matched, only her top was a crop top. Her short green hair pushed back off her face.
"You go have fun Mega." Tiha said with a wave of her hand as the teenager gave a nod and moved back into her stealth approach. Omega moved with grace as she kept low, moving behind the rock walls and trees that lined the homes and pathways. This was a game that played often, this was something she had learned to excel at. She looked towards her north, seeing the long winding path and the high buildings that were on its one side. With a small flash of light, she saw Hunter's signal that someone was close by. She quickly made her way under the tall bushes, pushing herself into the reed grasses to hide herself. She made herself as small as possible, her breathing slowed down so she wouldn't be heard. Coming around the corner was Echo, water gun in hand as he slowly made his way down the path, his eyes looking every which way to find a target. A smile twitched at his lips, the thrill of this unknown game making him feel young again. His ARC Trooper training kicked in as he studied the land before him.
He saw a flash of something to his left, his eyes darted there, but his blaster stayed forward so it didn't give him away. He took a step forward, watching out of the corner of his eye towards the roof of one of the tall buildings. What he had learned as soon as he inspected the water guns was that they had been modified to have the same reach that a normal blaster would. They would shoot the water at a faster velocity then a plain plastic water gun, being able to reach targets farther away. Keeping his eye on the target he saw a flash of red on the roof.
Hunter.
With a grin Echo grabbed hold of a low hanging overhang and leaped up into the roof of a shed. He bent low, keeping his water gun ready and waiting. With slow precise steps he crapped across the roof, before jumping onto the next, his footsteps light and soft as he moved, hardly a sound coming from his boot falls. Echo inched forward, raising his blaster higher, ready to strike the second Hunter appeared.
Just a few more steps…..
"Gotcha!" He yelled as he leaped forward spraying a stream of water at…..
A strip of red cloth tied to a pole.
"What the kriff?" He had been played. He glanced around, trying to find any sign of movement when it finally clicked. Plan 24. With a groan he pulled out his comm and called to his team, letting them know what that the Batch were playing at. "I guess they forgot I know all the plans, and plan 24 is all about stealth, deception and cornering the targets. Be on guard." He told the team before jumping into the next roof, trying to find Hunter and the others.
••••••
Omega made her way farther down into Pabu, keeping to the shadows, keeping her feet light as she moved. She was following Rex as he moved with ease, keeping himself hidden from the others. He stayed off the path, keeping his back to the stone walls to protect himself. He just never looked up at the roofs, to the small nooks that helped hide his sister. Rex moved down the stone steps, taking the first steps to Lower Pabu, just as Omega wanted. The closer they got them towards the beach and the cove, the better. She looked further down into the village and saw Wrecker running towards the square. Good, he was setting up the next trap in plan 24.
Keeping to the shrubs and trees she moved softly as she followed Rex who had also gotten a glimpse of Wrecker down below. Knowing he'd take the bait, and that Echo had no doubtedly warned the others of plan 24. But Plan 24 for a Water Battle was different then the plan 24 he had grown to know. And that was working in their advantage. Watching as Rex leaped over the stone wall, going after Wrecker, she looked up towards The Nest and saw a flash of light.
"Kirff." She swore lightly before leaping over a small stone wall that had crumbled years ago and made her way up a thick tree. No more than a minute later, Gregor came around the corner. Holding her breath and pushing herself tighter to the tree truck, letting the leaves hide her, she waited until he passed below. She watched as he made his way down the path, not following Rex but keeping to the same path he had once been taking, heading to lower Pabu. Once Gregor disappeared down the stairs to the lower city, Omega came down from the tree.
"Sitrep, go." She said into her comms once her feet hit the ground.
"The King is staying on target, one of his guards is not far behind. The ARC is circling back towards The Nest." Crosshair's raspy cold voice filled her earpiece.
"I got eyes on the guard of the castle." Hunter's smoky tone spoke up after Crosshair.
"Wrecker watch your back. The King is not far behind." Crosshair came back across the comms, his eyes trained to the village below.
"I got 'em. Hang in there Wrecker." Omega said before breaking into a run down the stone stairs, leaping into the reed grass and making her way towards the markets, where Wrecker was currently trying to stay hidden from Rex. Gregor had disappeared into the market, keeping a low profile as Rex kept after Wrecker. Omega kept up with Rex, following him at a safe enough distance but too far to properly fire a clean shot of water to mark him out. So she rounded a corner, taking a different path but a faster one to where Wrecker was heading, to try and cut off Rex before he got to her teammate. She pressed her back to the stone wall of a shop, watching the small walkway between buildings for Rex to emerge. Water blaster at the ready she took a slow, can't breath like Crosshair has shown her to do, leveled out the blaster and….
"Gotcha!" Gregor's slightly higher pitched tone made her jump out of her skin, going into a tuck and roll just as a spray of water soaked the wall where she had just been. "Get back here Omega!" He laughed as he fired again at her, only for Omega to dive for the ground to avoid the spray of water. She screeched in delight as she took off running, trying to avoid the rapid fire of Gregor's water gun. His laughter also filled the air, as he made after her down the Stony path deeper into the marker square. Darting in between market stalls, Omega kept ahead of Gregor as she pushed herself faster. She could still hear his footfalls as they ran, but she kept herself small enough and well enough hidden between the carts and crates that he couldn't get a clean shot. As she neared a small alleyway, she tripped over something on the ground, the water pistol going flying from her hand. As she hit the ground she rolled to the side, pulling her water sniper off her back and raised it as Gregor ran up. But before either one could take a shot at each other, a hearty downpour of water covered Gregor from head to toe in water. His squeal of horror from the cold water soaking him through made Omega laugh as she sat up right. There on the roof was Hunter, a huge, now empty, bucket of water in hand as he smirked down at the soaking commando.
"Better luck next time, old boy." Hunter chuckled with a two finger salute before casting a look down to his sister. "Better get running, Rex isn't far off." And with that he disappeared over the rise of the next roof. Omega chuckled as Gregor tossed her a dirty but playful look and shook out his hair, sending droplets flying.
"Head up to Shep's house and get some food from Tiha." She said as she picked up her water pistol, making sure it still worked before starting down the alleyways once more.
••••••
Tiha and Riyo laughed as they watched through their binocs from the balcony at the water war below. "They sure are taking this seriously aren't they?" Riyo asked as she sat back into her seat, waiting for Gregor to show up after he had been tagged out. Tiha laughed, sitting back down and nodded her head.
"I've been with the Batch for some time now. They don't like to lose. But then again, name a Clone that does."
Riyo pointed a knowing finger at the Jedi and chuckled before looking out over the island. It was peaceful here, despite the siblings raining water chaos onto the island at the moment. It was just what was needed. Gregor soon emerged, still dropping water from his tasseled hair and his shirt was damp, but a smile graced his face as he plopped down onto an empty chair, letting the sun dry him off.
"They play dirty and I want to see the rule book." He huffed with a chuckle as he took a sip of the fruity juice Shep was known for making. Tiha laughed and leaned back into her chair, her green hair shining in the sunlight.
"Ahhh, see had I wrote it, I would let you see it. But unfortunately that's Omega's department."
"Come now, General." Gregor spoke after a sip of juice, "you don't lead these battle plans?"
Tiha ran a hand through her hair, a coy smile bright on her lips as she shrugged her shoulders at him. "It's not what you think, Gregor. I may have led men into battle during the war, but with the Bad Batch, let's be honest…. Omega calls all the shots here. This is her idea, so I let her take the lead." Before Gregor or Riyo could speak up, heavy footfalls caught their attention. The three looked towards the gate to the balcony, watching as Wrecker came walking through, his pale green shirt soaked through.
"What happened to you?"
Wrecker groaned and rang out some of his shirt before sitting down. "Rex found me." He answered Gregor as he grabbed the pitcher of juice and poured himself a cup of it. Tiha and Riyo glanced at each other before chuckling, knowing things were ramping up in the city down below.
••••••••
Crosshair watched as Howzer left their ship, making his way quickly down the stony path to aid Rex and Echo now that Gregor was out of the game. He smirked as he moved his toothpick from one side of his mouth to the other, grabbing his water sniper and sliding it onto his back before sliding down the pole like Omega had done earlier. Once his boots hit the ground he pulled the water rifle off his back and took off after the captain. He found a stone wall that was only a small jump to a roof of one of the houses and he leaped over it, landing on the roof with a soft thud, and took off running. He kept his eye on Howzer, while keeping low as he worked his way forward, leaping from roof to roof, keeping pace with the man below him who was unaware of the sniper above him. Crosshair moved swiftly, years of training still kicking in as the thrill of the game hummed in his blood. Once he reached the market square he stopped on the roof of a long and tall building, laying down letting his breath even out as he looked for the others through his scope. He found Hunter still sticking to the rooftops as well, Omega was in the shadows keeping low in the market. Rex and Echo had met up and were keeping close as they looked for their opponents. Howzer was still making down the path, keeping low to the stone walls as he moved forward.
Using his tongue to flip the toothpick to the other side of his lips, he raised his rifle and found Howzer in his scope. Calm, even breathing took over his body, his mind sharp but relaxed as he took aim for the soldier in teal. Just as he was about to take aim at Howzers head, he ducked blow cover and before Crosshair register it, a blast of water shot right past his head, a few drops landing on his ear as he rolled to the side, slipping down the roof he had been on and landing like a lothcat on his feet. With a growl he clenched his rifle close to his body as he slipped around the side of the market building. He kept his back passed to the cool stone wall, keeping as quiet as possible as he moved. Once Crosshair hit the edge of the building he slowly peaked around the corner, trying to find the clone that shot water at him.
Another blast of water shot past his head, making him duck back behind the corner he had been peeking out from. "Kirff!" He hissed as he raised his rifle and shot a blast of water towards the stone wall near the steps that led into the market square. Blasts of water filled the space between them, Howzer and Crosshair trying to best the other. The soldiers did their best to stay hidden, while firing water rounds at the other on almost blinded shots. This went on round after round until Crosshair saw movement out of the corner of his eye. There, on the roofs leaping from ledge to ledge was Hunter. With a smirk he made sure his water levels were full, and darted out from his hiding spot to try and get a better view point on the other side of the market. A blast of water landed only an inch from where his foot landed as he ran, so he fired a shot back and slipped behind a market cart. Hunter dropped down behind him, his breath fast and his eyes with a wild and excited look to them.
"Omega is still after Rex and Echo. I figured I'd come help you." He said between pants of breath. Crosshair nodded, watching as Howzer lifted his head up to try and find them.
"Stick to the plan, I'll loop around the back and box him in." Hunter rasped as he also checked his water levels. Crosshair gave him a knowing look, and pointed towards the grove of Tookna citrus trees behind the market square.
"You'll have a better time going through there and around. He can't get a clear shot on you with how tight those branches are." They nodded and Hunter took off, Crosshair giving him cover fire as he made his way towards the trees. Keeping an eye on the clone Captain, he noticed that Howzer stopped firing and was trying to move farther down the stone path, closer to his current hiding spot. His toothpick had long gotten too wet and soft to keep chewing on, so he flicked it from his lips, letting the wood drop onto the ground.
"Ready when you are." Hunter's smoke filled tone whispered into his ear comm. Raising his rifle, Crosshair leaped from his spot, firing rapid shots at Howzers who was answering with his own fire. The Clone in teal darted out from his hiding spot, water blasters in both hands and he made shot after shot at the sniper. Both clones skipped and darted around the water fire, that is until Crosshair went to go into a slide and ended up slipping on the water they had been firing. He swung his rifle out, catching the leg of Howzer knocking him down as well. Both went down with thuds and groans.
Hunter leaped out from the Tookna trees, firing onto Howzer with a strong spray of water soaking his hair. The Sergeant laughed as Howzer coughed and spit up water, glaring at the troopers. But before Hunter and Crosshair could celebrate another target taken out, a downpour of water spilled down Crosshair's back, soaking his shirt. He growled from the cold water and saw Hunter dive rolling away, firing a few shots at their attacker.
"Run you idiot!" Crosshair yelled as he pushed himself up into his feet, watching Rex take after Hunter down the stone road. Echo stepped forward and gave the Clone Captain and Sniper a two finger salute, a wicked grin on his face.
"It's been fun boys, but duty calls." He called over his shoulder with a laugh as he chased after Rex and Hunter who had disappeared down the path towards the cove. Crosshair picked up his water rifle and glanced at Howzers out of the corner of his eye. He saw the Captain give him a look and Crosshair aggressively plopped a toothpick between his lips with a growl.
"Not a word out of you."
••••••••••
Tiha and Riyo watched as two more clones walked through the gate, adding to their seemingly growing watch party. "Welcome boys. Grab a drink and watch the fun!" Tiha giggled as Crosshair threw her a look before jumping up into the roof of Shep's house, leaning back against the warmed thatch to let himself dry off. Howzer took a glass of juice from Gregor, taking a sip of the sweet drink.
"I swear no one here plays far." He grumbled as he plopped down next to Wrecker, who clinked his glass to the Captain's.
"Nah, it's just Omega likes to change the rules as we go. Says it keeps it more lively." Wrecker barked with a laugh, he loved the chaos. The Jedi and the Senator just shook their heads with a smile, crapping their binocs and looked out over the island. They saw Rex and Echo on the move heading to the lower levels of Pabu, but Hunter and Omega were nowhere to be found. Tiha kept looking for her missing squad members, but didn't see them on the path or the rooftops. That could only mean they were sticking to the Tookna trees, so that the thick green leaves kept them hidden on their way down after Rex and Echo. Tiha put her binocs down and walked over to the roof that Crosshair was currently sunbathing on. With a small jump she landed softly on the roof beside him and bumped his shoulder with hers.
"I see you didn't last long this round." She teased. Her green hair fluttered in the soft sea breeze, her emerald eyes catching the sunlight. Crosshair opened one eye to look at her before moving the toothpick around in his mouth. He took the hand that has been resting on his chest and laid it in her lap, taking her hand. Tiha smiles softly at the gesture, running her thumb over the skin on the back of his hand.
"True, but next time I will win." His deep tone filled her ears like music as he rolled his head to the side to look up at her. Tiha gave him a mischievous grin before leaning down and kissing his nose, making it scrench up slightly.
"Not if I'm playing you won't."
••••••
The stakes were higher now. It was 2 even on each side. The plan had been working so far, but Rex and Echo were starting to wise up to the game. That meant tweaking the plan to still work in their advantage. Hunter moved like a ghost threw the Tookna citrus trees, leaping silently from branch to branch the salt sea air drifting up from the shore to cool the slight sweat that had formed at his neck. His senses worked in overtime, listening to the three different pairs of footfalls that moved along the path and the grove. He titled his head slightly, picking up on Omega's heartbeat not too far down the grove of trees from him. Titling his head to the other side, he reached out farther and heard the slight whirl and clank of Echo's legs as they moved, the study and strong footfalls of Rex. Both moved beyond the wall of the stone path, keeping to the sea reeds that lined the edges of Lower Pabu. With a smirk he moved farther into the grove of trees until the beach came into view. The plan was if they could get them to the cove, there was a small pool of water that showed up after low tide. It was the perfect trap to get the last two troopers to get completely soaked. He heard Omega move away from the grove of trees, having reached the beach and she began to take off running. He watched her from the grove's end, making sure she made it far enough ahead before Rex and Echo saw her. He heard a gleeful laugh as they made chase on the younger sister, and he waited until they passed before jumping from the tree and taking off after them. Hunter's legs pumped through the sand, his hair flying behind him as he felt the sun warm his skin. Omega led the group farther into the cove, ducking between two huge boulders that only had a big enough gap for her to fit through. Rex and Echo stopped short trying to figure out where she went when Echo saw Hunter approaching.
"Shit, go Rex!" He yelled as he dropped and rolled to the side, moving around the side of one of the large boulders. The pool of water was close by, Hunter knew Omega and he just had to push Rex and Echo back far enough to fall into it and they won. He went after Rex, who went around the other side of the boulder that took a longer path around to the pool that was hidden in the cove that Omega had already disappeared into. Pushing the Captain farther down the coast line, following the natural rock wall that blocked off most of the cove from view until you hit the part that opened up the ocean. During low tide a path made of boulders was available to walk across. During high tide the only way in was the small opening Omega had gone through, or climbing down from the cliffs below. Since it was low tide Hunter chased Rex towards the Cove opening, in hopes of pinning him down inside.
He could pick up the hum and click of Echo's mechanics from behind, but he didn't care at this point. He just needed to push Rex into the Cove and Omega would help take them out. The mouth of the cove came into sight and Hunter smiled triumphantly as the target moved into place. The war was over for this batch of clones, but they still found ways to use their training, to make their blood rush through their veins, to feel alive with adrenaline. The thrill of the chase.
Leaping from stone to stone Rex, Hunter and Echo raced into the cove, water blasting from their guns as they tried to best one another. Once they reach the island inside of the Cove, the small pool of water in its center they threw men came to a standstill, guns raised at each other and wild looks to their eyes. Hunter felt a smirk pull at his lips as he saw Omega crouched up on top of the cliff side ready for him to back Echo up enough for her to spray with water. He raised his guns a bit higher, making Echo and Rex both flinch.
"Seems we have a problem here boys." He finally spoke up, looking each one in the eyes before glancing back at Omega. Rex followed his gaze, seeing the blonde haired teen at the ready.
"What's the play here?"
"Care to surrender, Hunter?" Echo taunted as he tightened his grip on his water gun. He raised an eyebrow at Hunter when he saw a wicked grin spread across his lips. The Sergeant gave a dark chuckle, tossing his head to the side slightly to remove the hair that had blown into his eyes. With one final glance up to his child, he locked eyes with Echo and spoke one word.
"Negative."
Water blasted through the air as Omega shot at Echo's feet, making him jump to the side. Willing to sacrifice himself so their team could win, Hunter leaped forward, grabbing Rex around the waist and pushing him backwards with all his strength. Both men went flying down into the sand, Hunter forcing them into a roll as they both fired arounds of water at each other. With a final shove both went tumbling into the pool, going under the water before resurfacing coughing and spitting up the salty sea water that filled their noses and mouths. Echo was so busy watching the others that he didn't pay attention to Omega jumping from her perch and blasted him right in the back of the neck with a long stream of cold water. The ARC Trooper gasped from the cold wetness dripping down under his shirt as Omega kept firing on him. He threw his water gun down, raising his hands in the air as he laughed.
"Okay, okay! You win!" He exclaimed with laughter as he turned around to face the young girl. With a final blast of water to his face, Omega stopped firing the water gun, her laughter mixing with his as he wiped the water off his now dripping face. Rex and Hunter both laughed along as they climbed out of the pool, their clothes soaked through. Hunter's bandana has come off in the fall, his hair now loose and messy in his face as he shook it out, letting the water drops spray over Omega.
"Hunter!" Her giddy cries filled the air as she jumped back from her brother. The four of them all picked up their weapons and started the long walk back up to Shep's house to find the others. They talked and laughed along the way, the soldiers seeming more relaxed and at ease then they had ever been or felt before. It felt good to let loose and laugh, to be kids in their own way for once in their lives. Once they reached the top of Pabu and walked through the gates to Shep's balcony, Omega went running over to Crosshair who was sitting with Tiha on the hammock.
"We won Crosshair!" Her voice breathy from the long walk. He smiled up at her before ruffling her hair, making her giggle. Hunter, Rex and Echo each grabbed a glass of juice and found seats amongst their brothers and the Senator, letting the warm afternoon sun finish drying off their clothes as they sat and chatted.
"I still say I want to see a rule book." Gregor joked as he gave Omega a playful look. The teen stuck her tongue out at the Captain and the group laughed.
"You're just mad you lost to a kid." She jabbed back. This made a few of the boys howl with laughed, others tried to hide it behind their glasses. Gregor shot her a look before his own chuckle mixed with the others. Tiha and Riyo smiled at each other from their seats, happy to see the group of clones so relaxed and happy. It filled their hearts with joy to see them letting go for a moment, leaving the war behind for just a second to just be a family with little care in the galaxy.
"I think if we had known the rules we would have won." Howzer spoke up.
"Yeah, don't think next time you're going to win." Rex added with a lopsided smirk on his lips. "We won't be so easy to beat."
Tiha glanced at Crosshair, giving his hand a squeeze. He gave her a questioning look, watching as she got up from the hammock and walked over to Riyo. The two women gave each other a look, before Tiha gave a coy smile to the group.
"What are you two up to?" Crosshair questioned as he sat up straighter, knowing the look that was in his lover's eyes. As the others turned to look at the two women, Tiha waved her hand towards the open door of Shep's house. Two water blasters floated through the air, landing in the Jedi and Senator's hands.
"Care for round two gang?"

“It’s a lovely day, wouldn’t you agree, Commander?” You muse, enjoying the sun's warm caress on your skin. Your question is directed to Clone Commander Fox, who trails a few steps behind you as you stroll through the Senate Gardens.
As a Senator, moments of peace and solitude are rare and precious and for you, it’s best spent admiring the diverse plant life. Though Commander Fox, your assigned protector, doesn’t seem to share your enthusiasm.
“It is, ma’am,” he replies curtly, his lack of enthusiasm evident. You decide not to press him and continue your walk with a playful roll of your eyes.
Pausing by a bush adorned with tiny white flowers, you crouch carefully to avoid snagging your regal, albeit cumbersome, skirt. “These are some of my favorites,” you say as Fox halts behind you. “Leucanthemum Vulgare.”
“I’m not familiar with it, ma’am,” he responds, surprising you. Fox rarely speaks unless spoken to, but perhaps after weeks of close quarters, he feels inclined to converse back.
“Just daisies,” you chuckle, standing again. You notice Fox instinctively reaching out to assist you, only to quickly tuck his hands behind his back when you were fine.
Continuing your walk, your feet eventually tire, and you opt to sit on a nearby bench while Fox stands awkwardly beside you. “You can sit with me, Commander,” you suggest, patting the space next to you.
“I appreciate the offer, but I must remain vigilant to protect you,” he replies, giving you a nod and you can’t help but wonder what expression lies behind his helmet.
“I doubt anyone will attack me here,” you say, though Fox’s squared shoulders suggest otherwise. “...or do you know something I don’t?”
He clears his throat and gazes down at you, his eyes meeting yours through the visor. “All Senators are at risk, ma’am. However… your advocacy for Clone rights has made you a target in certain political circles.”
You shrug. “If they want to shoot me for it, so be it.”
“Ma’am, please don’t say that,” Fox winces, looking away and shaking his head. He seems to want to speak freely, but refrains.
“Thank you for protecting me,” you say gently, shifting your gaze to the vibrant flowers that soothe your nerves. “I can’t think of another Clone I’d rather have by my side to appreciate these gardens.”
Fox tenses beside you. “Y-you’re welcome,” he stammers, a rare but endearing lapse in his typical stoicism.
You both settle into a peaceful silence, though you wondered how Fox is faring. Often, you ponder whether he enjoys these quiet moments with you or would rather be back in his office. You recall the amusing sight of his brothers stuffing countless empty caf cups into a corner when you first visited him, and the strain in his voice and stiff body language betrayed his embarrassment over the discovery of his caf addiction.
You just hoped it wasn’t because he was exhausted.
“So,” you begin, snapping out of your worried thoughts, “you’ve walked with me in these gardens plenty of times now, Commander. Is there any particular plant, flower, or tree you like?”
Fox turns his head towards you, tilting it slightly, which you find unexpectedly adorable and you scold yourself mentally for thinking so.
“I’m afraid my answer will bore you.”
You give a wry smile. “I’m sorry, you probably have more important things to be doing, I’m sure.”
“Taking care of you is the most important thing to me,” he says almost sternly. The way he says it sounds almost desperate, not just dutiful. Realising this, he adds, “as it is my current job.”
Clearing your throat, you turn your gaze away, hoping he doesn’t notice the tips of your ears burning with a blush. “I see.”
He nods simply, but after a moment, he sighs slightly. “There is, uh, one flower that catches my eye every time we come here actually.”
You look back at him, surprised. “Really? Which one?”
“It’s over there in the corner to the right.” He nods in the direction, and you stand, asking him to show you.
He hesitates for a moment, unsure if you’re serious. But judging by your smile—something he has grown rather fond of—he nods and leads the way.
You stop in front of a flower bed filled with a mix of pink, purple, white, and red flowers—tall and breathtaking, and quite familiar to you.
“I believe these are Digitalis purpurea,” you say, leaning forward to inhale their delicate fragrance with a soft smile. “I can see why you like them, come to think of it.”
He nods slightly, pleased to have a name for the flower, even if he wasn't going to try to pronounce it. “Why’s that?”
“Well,” you say with a smirk as you turn to him, “it’s also more commonly known as ‘Foxglove.’”
“Oh, really?” he asks, genuinely curious, and you nod in confirmation.
“Quite the coincidence, don't you think?” you add, your eyes sparkling with amusement.
Fox seems taken aback, the irony not lost on him. “Yes, quite the coincidence indeed.” His voice is softer, and there's a hint of a smile in his tone that you wholeheartedly wish you could see.
Fox admires the flowers once more before his eyes drift to the ground where a small bunch had been either knocked or blown off. He bends down and picks them up, then without thinking, holds them out to you. “Would you like these?”
Your mouth gapes open slightly, looking at the outstretched flowers and then at him. “Oh,” you say pleasantly, reaching out and taking hold of the slightly battered and broken stems, “thank you, Commander.”
But you notice that he doesn’t let go at first, instead focusing on the way your fingers brush against his. You feel your heart skip a beat as you both look at each other, neither of you willing to let go. This had to stop. This was completely inappropriate. But yet…
“Senator, Commander Fox.” A voice interrupts you both, and you almost gasp as you quickly let go of the flowers and turn to see who has interrupted this—if you could even call it—moment.
“Thorn,” Fox acknowledges, his attempt to sound composed betrayed by the heavy rise and fall of his chest.
“You are both needed inside. I did try to comm you, but I, uh, must’ve not gotten the signal.” Thorn's tone carries a hint of amusement, and you feel a rush of nervousness and fluster. Did Fox feel the same awkwardness you did?
You glance at Fox, who gives a curt nod to Thorn. “Understood. We’ll head there immediately.”
As you walk back towards the Senate building, you can't help but replay the moment in your mind. The gentle brush of his fingers against yours, the intensity of his gaze behind his visor—it was so unlike the stoic Commander you had come to know.
“Thank you, Commander,” you say softly once the two of you were alone again, glancing at the flowers in your hand. “For the flowers.”
Fox nods, his voice steady but tone also softer than usual. “You’re welcome.”
Later that day, you receive word that you are needed on a different planet for urgent Senate business. As you prepare to leave, you find yourself thinking about Fox and the moment you shared in the garden. An idea forms in your mind, and you act on it impulsively.
Before you depart, you make your way to Fox’s office. It's empty, as he's likely out on duty. You place the flowers on his desk, arranging them neatly. Beside the flowers, you leave a small note:
‘Hopefully you will protect these like you protected me until I come back, Fox.’
And signed with your name. Not just Senator.
With one last glance around the room, amused to see his caf cups still there, you quietly slip out.
When Fox returned to his office that evening, confused with the days events and how he was feeling about you, he never realised he would experience missing someone. Yet as he reads the note you left and looks at the flowers, he does something strange. He pushes his steaming caf to the side and instead, lets the memory of you and the scent of the Foxgloves relax him.
He would not tell the others, but he could not wait for another stroll in the gardens with you.

So I heard you were doing fic requests (I stumbled on a post lol)
I'm not a big x Reader fan (sry 😭) but is it okay if I just request the bad batch relaxing on a forest planet in a cozy cabin? I just think that huddling up next to a fireplace, hot soup and hot cocoa would be the ultimate way to relax 😅
(Also writing this request reminded me of a drawing of Cross chilling in a cabin that I made a while back, is it okay if I tag you when I post it?)
Thank you and have a nice day! :D
Hello! Thank you so much for the request! Of course you can tag me in the Crosshair cabin post, it sounds so sweet! 😊💜
By the Warmth of the Fire

“That shower definitely beats the one on the ship,” Hunter said, padding out of his bedroom and tying up his almost dry hair into a quick bun before readjusting his bandana. Despite his efforts to tame the flowing curls, a couple of stubborn strands still flopped over the red fabric.
The worn fireplace crackled, casting a soft, welcoming glow over the open living space. The metal poker on the stand had been scorched until the original metallic shine dulled beneath the constant heat, and Hunter was careful when he balanced the deceptive weight of it and nudged the larger surviving logs.
“Where are the others?” Echo asked as he set the steaming bowls of soup onto the coffee table. Crosshair trailed closely behind with a tray of hot chocolate, placing each on the stone slab by the fire to keep them warm.
“They shouldn’t be too long,” Hunter replied. Settling into the nearest armchair, he sank into the plush cushions and accepted the bowl Echo handed to him. He took a sniff of the curling steam and recognised the scent. “This one of Gregor’s?”
“Yeah. When I told him we were coming out here, he gave me the recipe and it seemed easy enough to put together.”
The door groaned in protest as Omega, Tech, and Wrecker pushed their way inside, shutting out the biting wind and tracking snow behind them.
“We’ve been waiting for you three,” Echo chuckled, assisting his sister in removing her coat and hanging it on the hooks. He guided her to a comfortable spot in front of the crackling fire and placed a bowl of soup in her hands. “Careful, it’s still hot.”
With a nod, the girl brought a spoonful to her lips and blew on it before taking a sip. “It’s good,” she said as Crosshair draped a blanket over her shoulders.
“The smell’s making me hungry,” Wrecker groaned. His stomach growled as he dumped the armful of chopped logs onto the dwindling pile and grabbed his dinner. He ignored the spoon and sipped straight from the bowl, letting out a small, satisfied belch. “Tastes great,” he declared, digging back in. “We got anymore?”
“There’s about half a pan left,” Echo said. “I also cut up one of the fresh loaves if anyone wants some bread.” Sitting himself down on the sofa beside Tech, he took the last serving and savoured the warm, heartening aroma. His brothers tucked into their meals, and the sound of spoons on ceramic and slurps mingled with the crackle of the fire as it put up a valiant effort against the gusts invading the chimney.
“How did your exploration go?” Hunter asked, glancing between Omega and Tech.
“We didn’t go far, like we promised,” Omega replied, “but we saw a flock of ice birds.”
“Arcasia birds,” Tech corrected gently. “I believe they were preparing to migrate underground, otherwise we would not have seen them.”
“Sounds fun,” Hunter said. “Did you get a look at the trail?”
“The snow is clearing, so if we wanted to go on a hike up to the springs, tomorrow would be the optimal day for it,” Tech replied.
The tracker relished the warmth of the soup as he drained the last spoonful and set the empty bowl onto the low table. “We can head out in the morning,” he suggested. “So long as we don’t have any heavy snowfall overnight.”
As a howl ravaged down the chimney, Wrecker swiftly shoved the mantlepiece guards up to prevent the ashes from scattering. “Looks to be getting colder,” he commented, ensuring none of the smouldering flecks had managed to reach Omega. “Might be best to grab those extra blankets from the attic.”
“Oh,” Omega said with a spark of excitement, “I have an idea. If it’s going to be cold, we could bring the bedrolls in here and sleep by the fire.”
“I brought Sabacc cards so we could always play a few rounds before bed,” Crosshair added, and Omega threw him a competitive grin.
Hunter nodded in approval to the plan. “Okay, but if there are any arguments like last time, we’re leaving those cards here.”
“It wasn’t that bad,” Crosshair reasoned.
“Finish your soup,” Hunter told him in a commanding yet light tone.
Omega wasted no time in grabbing her share of hot chocolate after she had cleaned her bowl. She took a small sip, relishing the sweetness, and offered the other mugs to her brothers as they mopped up the rest of their dinner with the fresh bread. Crosshair directed her to the Sabacc cards, and mug in hand, she disappeared into the back bedroom and reappeared moments later with them.
Hunter nestled into his seat and glanced around at his siblings. On the sofa, Echo indulged Tech’s ramblings, asking him about the various bird species he had encountered during his trek as he flipped through the pictures on his datapad, while Crosshair, Wrecker, and Omega got to work setting up the game. The brawler’s raucous guffaws warmed the room as he clapped Crosshair on the shoulder in amusement, and the sniper returned a tickled laugh.
“Hunter?”
Hunter’s attention lifted to Omega as she presented him with a set of cards.
“Are you feeling alright?” she asked.
“Couldn’t be better,” he replied, a smile spreading across his face as he graciously took the playing cards. “Come on, I’ve got games to win before we go to bed.”

Always With You - Part Two!
Part One Here!
Spooky Month Fanfic with Gregor and Morthy!
CW: Detailed wound descriptions and also a SINGLE curse word lmao
enjoy !
As the evening settled in and shadows lengthened, Gregor carefully placed the stack of books he had brought just outside Morthy's quarters, next to his leather bag he had retrieved from near the front door. The books were meant to keep him occupied through the night, a distraction for Gregor to maintain his vigil. With a final glance at the titles, he returned to Morthy’s room, peeking inside to check on his friend.
The room was as Gregor had expected: modest yet welcoming. It had a similar simplicity to his own quarters, featuring a small, comfortable bed neatly arranged with a nightstand and a lamp, a sturdy desk bathed in the soft light of the window, a wooden dresser, and a cross hanging above the bed—a symbol of Morthy’s faith and a source of solace. Morthy was in the process of settling into bed, his movements sluggish and weary.
"Goodnight," Gregor said softly as he began to close the door.
"Gregor," Morthy’s voice called out, causing Gregor to pause mid-motion.
"Mm?" Gregor prompted, turning back toward the room.
Morthy, perched on the edge of his bed, looked as though his body was pleading for rest. He seemed almost torn between the need for sleep and the anxiety of leaving Gregor to fend off Gadreel alone. "Be safe," Morthy murmured, his voice laced with concern. "I don’t want you to get hurt."
Gregor smiled at Morthy’s worry, touched by his friend’s concern. "I’ll be fine. You get some rest," he reassured, hoping to ease Morthy’s apprehension.
Morthy managed a nervous smile in return before lying down, his body visibly relaxing as he sank into the mattress. Gregor softly shut the door, granting Morthy the privacy he needed.
Outside Morthy’s bedroom, Gregor took a seat on a nearby chair, the weight of the evening settling around him. He opened one of the books he had brought and began to immerse himself in its pages.
Gregor managed to get through about four pages of his book, his eyes skimming over the text, when an unsettling sensation interrupted his focus. It wasn’t anything he could pinpoint or explain—just a vague sense that something was amiss. With a sense of urgency, he bookmarked his page and stood up, hurrying to Morthy’s bedroom.
He opened the door cautiously, peering inside. The room was exactly as he had left it: Morthy lay peacefully in bed, undisturbed and seemingly content in his slumber. The cross above the bed caught the soft glow of the lamp, casting reassuring shadows across the room. Gregor sighed in relief and closed the door gently, ensuring not to make any noise.
Gregor softly shut the door, his senses on high alert as he stepped back into the dimly lit corridor of the church. The heavy silence was punctuated only by the occasional creak of the old wooden floorboards beneath his feet. He scanned the church’s vast interior, his eyes darting from shadow to shadow, searching for the source of his discomfort. He knew it was Gadreel’s work, Gregor could almost hear the frustrated hiss of Gadreel’s displeasure at being denied access to his favorite plaything.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Gregor attempted to calm his nerves. Gadreel fed on fear, panic, and unease, and Gregor was determined not to give in. He needed to maintain his composure and stay focused. Similar to dealing with a child, he just needed to not give Gadreel the attention he craved.
With a determined resolve, Gregor returned to his chair, the soft creak of the leather under his weight a comforting reminder of his position. He reopened the book, the aged pages rustling softly as he resumed reading.
Gregor had barely managed to get through half a page of his book when he was interrupted again. A soft, sudden thud echoed through the church, like something had fallen from the ceiling. He blinked a few times, momentarily disoriented, and glanced up into the deepening darkness that enveloped the high ceilings of the church. Something on the floor caught his attention—an object that hadn’t been there before, casting its own, small shadow.
He slowly shut his book and rose from his chair, the unsettling silence amplifying every creak of the old wooden floor as he cautiously approached the mysterious object. As he drew closer, the shape became clearer—a red apple core, eaten down to the seeds. Gregor’s confusion deepened; the sight was entirely out of place in the church’s austere surroundings.
Frowning, Gregor glared up at the ceiling, trying to discern where the apple core might have fallen from, but the oppressive darkness offered no clues. This was very obviously Gadreel’s work, but Gregor just couldn’t figure out why.
He bent down, gingerly picking up the apple core by the stem with a look of disgust. "Geh—!" Gregor flinched as something else suddenly fell from the ceiling, striking him on the head before landing with a soft thud on the floor. He looked down and saw another apple core, identical to the first.
A jolt of fear surged through Gregor’s body as the realization dawned on him. The darkness of the ceiling was not empty. He hadn’t glared at an empty ceiling, but instead had stared directly at Gadreel, and Gadreel had stared back.
Gregor didn't dare look at the ceiling again. His eyes had adjusted to the dim light, and he could now make out the shadowy outlines of the pews stretching out before him. The fear of what he might see if he looked up kept his gaze firmly on the ground. He dropped the apple core, its hollow clatter echoing through the silent church, and quickly retreated to the safety of his lantern's warm glow and the comfort of his leather bag.
He swiftly checked on Morthy again, peeking through the slightly ajar door to find him still at peace, undisturbed by the unsettling events. The sight of Morthy's calm, steady breathing provided a small measure of relief. Gregor closed the door quietly.
Returning to his chair, he took a deep breath and forced himself to focus on the task at hand. The chair creaked softly as he settled back into it, his book waiting patiently on the small side table. He reached inside his leather bag and retrieved his golden cross, holding it protectively between his shaking fingers. After a few moments of prayer and silence, he set the cross down and slid his book onto his lap.
Very slowly, Gregor began to relax. His eyes continued to scan the same line in his book repeatedly, his nerves still on edge, but gradually, the initial shock of being so close to Gadreel started to fade. His hands stopped shaking, and his breathing steadied as he regained a semblance of calm.
Eventually, he felt confident enough to venture away from the comforting glow of the lantern. Placing the book aside, he brushed himself off and made his way to the back of the church, where a small kitchenette was tucked away. The faint hum of the old refrigerator provided a soothing backdrop to the silence that had gripped the church earlier.
Gregor sifted through the unfamiliar cabinets, searching for something to calm himself further. Finally, he found a box of tea bags hidden behind some dusty jars of spices. The simple act of filling the kettle with water and setting it to boil felt almost therapeutic, a small slice of normalcy amidst the chaos.
As the water heated, he leaned against the counter, his thoughts momentarily drifting away from the terror of Gadreel. He focused on the small details: the gentle steam rising from the kettle, the soft click of the stove, the comforting aroma of the tea leaves. These mundane actions grounded him, reminding him of the world outside the church walls.
When the water reached a rolling boil, Gregor poured it over the tea bag in his cup, watching the dark color slowly seep into the water. He let it steep, the warmth of the cup soothing his hands as he held it. Taking a cautious sip, he felt the heat spread through his body, further dispelling the lingering chills from his earlier encounter. He returned to his post outside Morthy’s bedroom, tea in hand, and resumed his quiet watch. He even gained the confidence to look at the darkened ceiling, seeing nothing but the wooden rafters in the piercing dark.
As time passed, Gregor’s earlier confidence began to return. He settled into a more relaxed posture, one leg draped casually over the other, as he sipped his tea and read from his book. The steady rhythm of the pages turning and the warmth of the tea worked their soothing magic, helping to restore a sense of calm.
Every once in a while, he would crack open Morthy's door and peek inside. Each time, he found Morthy sleeping peacefully, the gentle rise and fall of his chest a reassuring sight. Seeing Morthy at ease provided Gregor with a comforting sense of accomplishment and relief, reinforcing his resolve to protect him through the night.
When Gregor checked the time, he noted it was around two in the morning. There were still a few hours left before dawn, but he had made decent progress. With a sigh, he set aside his book, finding himself growing restless. He tapped the side of his face thoughtfully, searching for something to occupy his time.
His gaze wandered around the church, taking in the clutter that had accumulated over the past few days. It was clear that Morthy had been overwhelmed, with church maintenance slipping down the list of priorities. Gregor didn’t blame him; the weight of dealing with Gadreel was more than enough to distract anyone from everyday tasks.
Determined to make good use of the time, Gregor decided to tackle some cleaning. He returned to the kitchenette and began to address the pile of dishes that had accumulated. The clinking of plates and utensils, along with the gentle hum of water, created a soothing backdrop. Gregor hummed quietly to himself, the repetitive motions of washing and rinsing providing a calming rhythm.
Gregor finished the dishes, somewhat surprised that he had managed to do so without any interference from Gadreel. Had the demon already grown bored? The thought made him chuckle.
After drying his hands, Gregor returned to his post, but his sense of calm was shattered when he gasped at the scene before him. His leather bag lay overturned on the floor, thrown from the small end table without a care. His books were strewn about, their pages ripped apart and covers bent. His once calming teacup had been hurled against Morthy's door, the shattered fragments of cermanic on the floor and a splatter of dark tea staining the wooden surface.
Gregor stood frozen for a moment, his mind racing as he tried to process the chaos. He shook his head, forcing himself to focus. Without delay, he opened Morthy's door to find him still asleep, simply turned onto his other side. The sight of Morthy’s tranquil slumber offered a brief reprieve, but Gregor knew he couldn’t afford to be still.
He swiftly set about cleaning up the mess, carefully collecting the shards of the broken teacup and disposing of them. The scattered books were picked up and stacked, though their damage was irreparable. With a sigh, he turned to his leather bag, hoping to retrieve his golden cross.
When Gregor bent down to grab his bag, he noticed it felt unusually light. His heart sank as he opened it and found that all his religious items were missing. The golden cross, rosary, and vials of holy water were nowhere to be found. Panic surged through him as he realized the gravity of the situation: Gadreel hadn’t just thrown a tantrum; he had stolen Gregor’s means of protection.
Gregor's initial reaction to the empty leather bag was sheer terror. The absence of his protective items struck him with a cold, paralyzing fear. But as the seconds ticked by, he realized that succumbing to panic would only give Gadreel what he wanted—his fear. Gregor took a deep breath, forcing himself to push past the fear that clung to him like a shroud.
He was in a church, surrounded by sacred symbols and religious artifacts. If there was any place where he could find replacements for his missing items, it was here. Resolutely, Gregor set to work, determined not to let Gadreel feed on his anxiety.
With a deep breath, Gregor shook off the fear and focused on the task at hand. He grabbed his lantern and made his way through the church’s darkened corridors, his steps echoing softly on the stone floor. The night seemed heavier and more oppressive, the darkness almost tangible as it pressed in around him. He headed straight for the sacristy.
Morthy’s sacristy had no windows, as he stepped inside, the pitch-black room seemed to swallow the light from his lantern, the darkness almost suffocating. Gregor swung the lantern back and forth, its beam cutting through the inky blackness, illuminating rows of wooden shelves and cabinets.
He rifled through the contents of an old cabinet, finding various candles, incense, and a few dusty books of prayers. They weren’t ideal, but they could provide some measure of protection. His fingers brushed over a small vial of holy water tucked away in a forgotten corner—its presence a small but welcome relief. He quickly retrieved it, slipping it into his pocket.
Gregor’s search continued, and his hope grew as he discovered a modest wooden cross among the items. It wasn’t as ornate as his golden cross, but it was better than nothing. Though he didn’t find a rosary, he managed to gather a few items, which he hoped would be enough to bolster his defenses. Each item he collected was a small victory, a reassurance that he wasn’t completely powerless.
Gregor felt a glimmer of excitement as he spotted a promising box near the bottom of a cluttered shelf. His fingers trembled with anticipation as he reached down to pull it out. But as he tried to tug it free, he realized it was trapped beneath another box precariously stacked on top.
Determined, Gregor carefully set his lantern down on the shelf to free both hands. He braced himself and began to push the top box backward, trying to create enough space to retrieve the bottom one. His heart raced with the intensity of the task, and sweat began to bead on his forehead.
Just as he managed to shift the box, he heard a sudden, jarring crash as he was plunged into darkness. Gregor's heart leapt into his throat as he realized his lantern had been knocked to the floor, its light extinguished in a heartbeat. The sacristy was plunged into absolute darkness.
Gregor's breath came in short, panicked bursts as he felt blindly for the lantern. His hands flailed in the pitch-black room, unable to see anything—he couldn’t even make out his own fingers. The crushing void of darkness pressed in around him, amplifying his anxiety.
"Shit," Gregor whispered, the curse slipping out in his distress. It was a word he rarely used, but the situation felt dire. His voice trembled slightly, betraying his fear.
Gregor felt paralyzed with fear, his mind racing as he struggled to overcome the creeping dread. The darkness around him was suffocating, and he could almost feel the oppressive weight of Gadreel’s presence. The feeling of unseen eyes on him made his heart pound harder, each thud echoing in his ears.
He knew he should make for the door and re-enter the light where Gadreel wouldn’t hold as much power, but his body refused to obey. He clutched the edge of the shelf, his hands trembling uncontrollably, as if the shelf itself were the only thing keeping him anchored in the abyss.
Gadreel was here, lurking in the darkness, and Gregor’s fear threatened to overwhelm him. He had to stay strong. If he let fear consume him, Gadreel would win, and Morthy would be at risk once more. Gregor forced himself to focus, reaching into his pocket where he had just stashed the wooden cross. His fingers closed around the base, and he raised it with a shaky hand, aiming it blindly into the dark, vaguely where he believed Gadreel was.
Taking a deep breath, Gregor’s voice wavered as he began the incantation, struggling to regain his confidence. "The Lord, The Son, The Divine Soul, and The Sacred Sky... Commands you to leave this realm, this church—"
His voice wavered but grew steadier as he continued, “The power of the Lord compels—”
The chant was abruptly cut off by a swift, slicing sound. Gregor’s breath caught in his throat as an excruciating pain shot through his arm. The sensation was unlike anything he had ever experienced—an intense, burning agony that seemed to radiate from deep within.
He let out a strangled, anguished scream, his voice echoing through the darkness. The pain was so sudden and fierce that it drove him to his knees, the wail that left him made his throat hurt. The intensity of the pain felt like it was consuming him, making it impossible to focus or think clearly.
Gregor’s heart raced, every beat pounding in his ears as the searing pain in his arm rendered him almost immobile. The darkness pressed in from all sides, an impenetrable void that seemed to swallow up his every thought. His hand grasped fruitlessly in the blackness for the cross he had dropped, but it remained elusive, mocking him with its absence.
Desperation overtook him. He had to get out, had to find safety, even if he had no clear idea of where he was going. Gritting his teeth against the pain, Gregor forced himself to stand, his legs trembling beneath him. He stumbled forward, his sense of direction muddled in the enveloping darkness.
He crashed into a wall with a bone-jarring thud, the impact jarring his already-agonized arm. Ignoring the fresh wave of pain, Gregor’s fingers scrabbled along the wall, seeking out the door frame. He found it after what felt like an eternity, his fingers gripping the handle with a mix of relief and desperation.
With a final burst of frantic energy, he yanked the door open and practically tumbled out of the room. He collapsed onto the floor outside, his body wracked with shudders. His breathing was ragged, each inhale a struggle as he lay there on his side, feeling a mixture of fear and pain that left him trembling uncontrollably. The dim light from the kitchenette cast long shadows across the floor, providing a small measure of safety. Turning onto his back cautiously, Gregor’s breath hitched in his throat.
There, just a few feet away, was Gadreel.
The demon's presence was unnervingly still. The door to the sacristy was barely ajar, held open by Gadreel's long, clawed hand. His head was tilted at an unnatural angle, and his yellow eyes, devoid of any discernible emotion, were fixed on Gregor through the narrow crack. The absence of anger or malice in his gaze was almost more unsettling than the sheer presence of the demon itself.
Gadreel's eyes, those unsettling white pupils, remained locked on Gregor, unblinking and unyielding. They didn’t flicker once. The demon's form was perfectly still, as if he were a photograph, capturing an eerie, frozen moment of observation.
Gregor's heart seemed to stop as he stared at Gadreel's motionless form. The longer the demon stayed so still, the more Gregor began to question if he was truly there or if his exhaustion and fear had conjured an illusion. The silence was suffocating, filling the space with thick tension. It was a brief moment of doubt that perhaps Gadreel was nothing more than a figment of his imagination.
Just as that thought solidified in his mind, Gadreel moved with sudden, jarring speed. The demon's claws, once gripping the edge of the sacristy door, slipped away with a sinister grace. In one swift motion, Gadreel slammed the door shut with a resounding crash, the sound echoing through the church like a final, unsettling punctuation mark.
Despair overwhelmed Gregor as he lay there, choked sobs escaping his lips. The pain in his arm was unbearable, but he forced himself to look at the wound. His arm was a grisly sight: a perfectly straight cut ran from the inside of his elbow to his wrist, deep enough to reveal the yellowish fat beneath. The blood flowed freely, soaking into his shirt and spreading across the floor in alarming patches. Crimson stains marked the wall by the sacristy door, the door itself, and the floor—a grim testament to the severity of his injury.
As Gregor's gaze wandered around the church, the reality of his situation began to seep in. The more he looked, the more his perception seemed to distort. His blood appeared to be everywhere, staining the walls and the floor in unsettling patterns. The room seemed to spin as his mind struggled to grasp the extent of his injuries. Was he losing too much blood? His head felt light, and a disturbing, unfamiliar and frankly unwelcome haze clouded his thoughts. He felt like some of them weren’t his own. When had he laid down on the floor?
The church around him blurred as fatigue set in. His eyelids grew heavy, and the comforting embrace of sleep beckoned him. The darkness seemed safer than the horrific reality he was facing. A part of him thought that shutting his eyes might make everything go away. If he were asleep, he wouldn’t have to confront the blood, the pain, or Gadreel’s looming threat.
With a resigned sigh, Gregor allowed his eyes to close. His breath slowed, and he began to drift into a state of unconsciousness. The promise of morning and Morthy’s gratitude felt like a distant dream. The idea of a new day lulled him closer to sleep… The floor was a lot softer than he remembered….
Yeah, sleep was a good idea..

A sudden jolt of clarity pierced through the fog of exhaustion and pain. The realization struck him like a glass of cold water to the face: Morthy.
With a gasp, Gregor pushed himself off the cold, unforgiving floor with his uninjured arm, each movement a struggle against the pain and weakness that gripped him. His breathing came in ragged gasps, each breath a stark reminder of the severity of his wound. His mind raced as he tried to separate his own thoughts from those that Gadreel had twisted. The line between reality and illusion was dangerously blurred, and he grappled with the fear that Gadreel’s influence had convinced him of things that weren’t true.
The church seemed oddly brighter. The faint, natural light of dawn had begun to seep through the high windows, casting long, slanted beams of light across the otherwise shadowed interior. Gregor squinted, momentarily disoriented by the sudden shift in time. How long had he been out? He had only closed his eyes for what felt like seconds, yet the arrival of dawn suggested he had been unconscious for hours.
Shaking his head to clear the fog of confusion and exhaustion, Gregor clutched his wounded arm, his grip tight but gentle enough to avoid causing further pain. The blood had begun to dry, adding a sticky sensation to the already overwhelming ache.
Gregor pushed open the door to Morthy’s quarters. The sight that greeted him was almost too good to be true. Morthy was still peacefully asleep, bathed in the soft, warm light filtering through the window. The tranquility of the room stood in stark contrast to the chaos Gregor had just endured.
Gregor’s breath came out in a shaky sigh as he quietly closed the door, careful not to disturb Morthy. He resolved to leave him undisturbed for now, knowing that Morthy’s rest was as crucial as his own. His next priority was to tend to himself and clean up the mess left by Gadreel’s malevolent games.
Making his way to the bathroom, Gregor felt each step throb with the pain in his arm. He turned on the faucet, wincing as the cool water hit his wound. The sight of his injury—deep and raw, from his elbow to his wrist—made his stomach churn. His hand shook as he gently washed the wound, careful not to cause himself any more pain than necessary. The water ran red with his blood, a stark reminder of the violence he had barely escaped.
After meticulously cleaning the wound, Gregor wrapped it in a sterile bandage, his movements slow and deliberate to avoid further discomfort. The bandage felt tight and reassuring against his skin, offering a small measure of comfort amidst the pain.
Gregor turned his attention to the mess left in the sacristy. He found a rag in the small utility closet and set off to clean the bloodstains. As he scrubbed at the blood smeared across the floor and walls, he tried to steady his breathing. The act of cleaning was oddly soothing, a way to regain control and reclaim some normalcy in the wake of Gadreel’s torment.
The church, though still shadowed in parts, was beginning to brighten with the full light of day. Gregor’s hands moved with a practiced ease, removing the visible signs of the previous night’s chaos.
Gregor, having finally finished the cleanup, sank into one of the sunlit pews, the warm rays of morning light gently warming his tired frame. His eyes fluttered shut, seeking a moment of respite from the strain of the past hours. The peace of the church, now fully illuminated by the bright morning sun, offered a comforting contrast to the darkness he had faced. Gadreel was still there, he could tell, but he was… distant. Muffled. Asleep.
His brief solace was interrupted by a new, much more reassuring presence. Gregor opened his eyes to find Morthy approaching him, looking noticeably more awake and composed. The smile on Morthy’s face was soft, full of gratitude.
"Thank you," Morthy said, his voice sincere and warm.
Gregor returned the smile, feeling a sense of relief and contentment. "Of course," he replied.
Morthy took a seat beside Gregor, the two of them now sharing a quiet moment of calm in the sanctuary of the church. Gregor leaned his head on Morthy’s shoulder, the gesture more comforting than any words could express. They sat together in the gentle embrace of the morning light, finding solace in each other's presence.

[Captain's Log Chapter 13] [Twi'lek OC: Zeeta Face Card] [Crossposted on ao3]
The muggy haze hung in the stuffy air of the Syndulla’s meeting cavern. Smoke from burning incense and the swell of warm bodies crowding together made beads of sweat pool up on Zeeta's ruby skin. The heavy pounding of kick drums and steel pans echoing around the stone walls filled her head, and her long, blue-freckled lekku carried the thrum of the rhythm through her body. She let the music move her, following her fellow Twi’lek dancers as they headed toward the center of the cave to start their performance for their guests.
Despite all they had suffered at the Empire’s hand, the ancient Twi’lek custom of a large feast and a show for Ryloth’s visitors was something the evil galactic regime could never take from them.
Although, Zeeta had not expected this group of visitors to be so enticing; a beautiful brunette human woman and three ruggedly handsome clones, like the ones she’d come to know very well in the past two years they had occupied her home planet.
The woman stood almost possessively close to the assumed leader of the group, a clone with scuffed, blue-painted plastoid and blonde hair. Their hold on each other led Zeeta to believe that the two had likely been together for some time, so she twisted to follow the choreography and to get a better look at the other two clones that accompanied them.
The first was a slightly wider clone, with massive squared-off shoulders, rounded thighs, and the typical dark hair slicked back on top. He wore a toothy grin, clearly happy to be surrounded by such a culturally rich gathering. The second was as wide and built as the first, but slightly taller and with a deep scar over a silver cybernetic right eye. This clone was definitely less enthused than the other two, his face set in an almost menacing scowl that would intimidate most.
Zeeta knew that she wasn’t like most women, and this clone had her name written all over him. He was edgy, moody, and maybe a little angry if she was reading him right. She was willing to bet he was the kind of intense, brooding man she craved. She could challenge him, endlessly tease him until that scowl broke and he was blubbering her name as he begged for more of her. Oh yes, he was the one she wanted to get to know better tonight.
She watched the four of them converse with the Twi’lek leader, Cham Syndulla, and Captain Howzer, the clone captain assigned to Ryloth. Suddenly, the music and dancing stopped, as Syndulla stood up to address the room.
“My people! Tonight we welcome our new guests. They have come to help us retake our planet with their brothers. With their assistance, Ryloth will be free once again!”
The crowd erupted into cheers for a moment before the drums started up again and the dancing resumed, and Zeeta let her body writhe and twirl as the music crescendoed. Her gaze darted over to the three new visitors every so often, and her most alluring looks were targeted at the scowling clone. Every time she looked, she found her bright green eyes meeting his mismatched ones watching her dance with suggestive intrigue.
Cham’s wife, Eleni had now joined the fold, taking the brunette woman by the hand and guiding her over to join the group of her handmaidens. If there was ever going to be an opportunity for Zeeta to get to know the brooding clone she’d taken a liking to, this was it.
Zeeta quickly separated herself from the dancing troupe in the center of the room and made her way to the group of handmaidens talking excitedly to the new female guest. She could see that the woman was even more striking up close: dark brows highlighting sparkling brown eyes, her face dotted with freckles on her glowing tan skin, and perfectly plush, pink lips in a pleasant smile. If she didn’t know any better, she’d say the woman had the kind of glow one only has when they are carrying life, but she knew better than to ask that of a stranger.
“Ladies, this is Mari. She is our guest. Make her feel welcome and allow her any of the refreshments she requires.” Eleni nodded graciously and made her way to her husband's side, taking her daughter’s hand and heading off to put her to bed.
“Welcome, Mari. You certainly are a lucky woman getting to travel all around the galaxy with such handsome companions,” Zeeta noted, again glancing over at the man who had piqued her interest and finding him staring right back with increasing intrigue. She could already tell he had noticed her flirting from afar. All she had to do now was seal the deal.
The other women in the group giggled their agreement and whispered amongst themselves about which of the three men suited their tastes. Mari laughed appreciatively and smirked as she looked over at them, “I am quite lucky. They’re wonderful men. You can’t go wrong with a clone, ladies. Trust me, my blondie over there is the best man I’ve ever known.”
Zeeta smiled to herself knowing that her instincts were right about the couple and laughing at how casually possessive Mari was over her lover. It was impressive. “What about the other two?” she posited, “because that brooding one over there has been staring at me since he walked in here.”
Mari urged them to move closer to her to keep them concealed from the clones’ prying eyes and shrugged matter of factly, “Well, if you really want to know… the two of them haven’t… been with anyone in quite some time, and I promised them I’d help them out tonight. Are any of you down for some fun?”
“Only if you tell us what they’re like,” Zeeta bargained, folding her arms and looking over her shoulder at her target who had clearly been eyeing her backside.
“The one who has been drooling over you is Commander Wolffe. He’s as intense and rough around the edges as he seems. Though, he’s got a soft side to him. A girl like you might be able to give him the run for his credits he needs. He likes a challenge for sure. As long as you’re down for a little bit of anything,” Mari explained, wiggling her brows as if to suggest he was into things that were not for the faint of heart. As she continued explaining the intimate details about the other clone, Gregor, Zeeta drifted into her fantasy.
The more she heard about Wolffe, the stronger the need in Zeeta’s core grew. Those strong clone hands on her body, the strength of his muscular thighs caging her in, the gruff of his voice calling her whatever filthy names he’d like. Stars, she would let him do anything he wanted, and she’d give all the attitude in the world right back to him. She wanted to be the one who took care of the hulking Commander Wolffe tonight and, by the looks he was giving her now, he wanted her, too.
“I can introduce you all if you’d like. The boys will be so happy to have some company tonight. They deserve it,” Mari offered with a genuinely thankful smile, looking around at two other Twi’lek women, Noola and Ryloo, who were clearly interested in something salacious with Gregor.
“Please,” Zeeta agreed eagerly, following Mari and the other two women as they made their way over to the altar Cham was sitting on. The two clones were both devouring their second bowls of nerf stew as the group of women approached.
Mari waved her hands at her companions, “Boys, this is Noola, Ryloo, and Zeeta. Ladies, this is Wolffe and Gregor. You won’t find better men to keep you company. You can take my word for it.” She turned and winked at her blonde boyfriend suggestively.
Zeeta barely waited for the words to come out of Mari’s mouth before she sauntered over to the illusive Commander Wolffe. She slipped to within his arm’s length and stared down at him. He had such a handsome face, his jawline covered in black stubble, a broad nose, and a furrowed brow outlining the dark, provocative glare he’d been using on her earlier.
“Hello, Commander,” she began, drawing out her vowels in a deep drawl thick with lust. She ran her fingers along his shoulder pauldron and leaned in close to whisper in his ear. “We’ll see just who’s in charge later, won’t we?”
Zeeta tucked her dark lower lip between her teeth and pulled back to meet that scowl again only to be met with a devilishly charming smile. His hand shot out to grab her by the waist and he pulled her down onto his thigh.
“Oh, you’re a bad girl,” Wolffe growled playfully as Zeeta began gently writhing in his lap. His hand settled at the exposed small of her back to guide her ministrations.
She hummed and let out a throaty, bewitching laugh, leaning down to lightly trace the shell of Wolffe’s ear with her tongue. “I am whatever you want me to be, and right now I am awaiting your orders, Commander.”
Wolffe grumbled his delighted approval from deep within his broad, barrel chest, and Zeeta could feel his heart pick up its thrumming pace under her delicate, scarlet hands.
“You want me in charge, darling? You sure about that?” His hand slid around her waist, stroking the black lace adorning her exposed crimson skin. “Because I can’t promise I’ll be gentle.”
Zeeta smiled teasingly and wrapped her hands around his on her waist. “I’m not looking for gentle. I’m begging for a challenge,” she shot back, slowly starting to dig her nails into his grip on her. “Unless you don’t think you can handle me?”
“Oh, cyar’ika,” he laughed, reaching up to rest his hand on her neck to pull her close and hold her gaze, “girls like you are my specialty.”
The lust darkening his brown eye was all Zeeta needed to know he meant business and it took everything in her not to ask him to tighten his grip on her neck. A few breathless moments passed as they studied each other, and Wolffe’s jaw worked in frustration as she made him wait for her answer.
Zeeta blinked her long lashes at him as she held her own against his captivating intimidation tactics. It was all a game of tooka and womp rat. A meeker woman would have already given in and submitted to him. Not Zeeta. She was determined to make him antsy, to make him want it so badly that he let this dominant facade go and allowed her to take from him as she pleased. Mustering up every ounce of restraint she had, she let her playful demeanor evolve into something darker and needier. The blazing fire of seduction lit her bright, green eyes and she let a sly smirk spread along her dark lips.
She leaned in close, dragging her touch down his strong jaw and hovering her lips inches from his. “Prove it,” she muttered, both her lekku trembling against her back to portray the excitement coursing through her. She slowly sat back, watching the formidable man shake off his need for the kiss dangling tensely between them. She’d cracked him so easily, his entire body eagerly lunging toward her for more.
“I’ve… uhm… got a guest room, I think. Take me there?” he asked, blinking away the haze of rampant lust still clouding his judgment and making him woozy with desire.
She backed off him and stood up on her feet, watching the man in front of her get taller and taller as he rose to follow her. He was truly a massive man, even amongst clones, and he towered over Zeeta.
She rested her hand on his jaw and laughed, “Just as I thought… desperate boy.”
Wolffe beamed at her in response, bearing his teeth in a saccharin smirk. Both his hands ran down her sides, pulling her closer as he caged her into his chest.
“Ah–you better watch that mouth or you’ll regret it.” He arched his scarred brow at her and motioned for the exit.
“No, I’ll enjoy it,” she teased, letting her fingers trace down his neck, across his shoulder, and down the bulging bicep muscles in his arms until she laced them with hers. He shuddered briefly, holding her hand and patting her on the hip to urge her to move along. “C’mon, your quarters are this way.” she finally relented, dragging him by the hand into the dimly lit corridor they originally entered from.
As the festivities continued loudly behind them, Zeeta navigated down the shadowy halls of the cavernous palace. Just as they turned the corner toward the dwellings, she was pulled backward and pushed up against the wall roughly. The air rushed from her lungs as Wolffe crowded her and stared down at her like a man starved, his chest rising and falling as he huffed. Before she could say another word, he crashed his lips into hers.
Desperately horny and with unrelenting power, he practically consumed her, pressing her hands against the wall when she tried to hold on to him. Her eyes rolled back in her head at him overpowering her so easily, and he broke the mind-numbing kiss with a laugh.
“Can’t just watch all of you bounce in front of me like that. Need a taste of you first. You’re fucking… gorgeous,” he rambled through each broken kiss, spit-slick tongues brushing together each time he went back for more. “Not so much of a tease when no one can see you, hmm?”
“Don’t… count… on that…” she gasped back between kisses, slipping her face to the side, forcing him to miss her mouth. “I’m not going to make it easy for you, Commander.” She could sense his heart rate escalating, his determination to prove himself to her getting him going faster than he was used to. He bit down on his lower lip and groaned impatiently, his eyes narrowing as he calculated what to do next to up the ante.
Slowly, he eased his wandering hands up to cup her cheek, and chuckled softly, “Zeeta. Not a common name for a Twi’lek.” His brown and cybernetic eyes flitted around her face, studying her blue freckles, her enthralled expression, and her electric eyes. He smiled to himself. It was subtle and most would probably miss it entirely, but it was there. “But red skin and green eyes… you’re rare in a lot of ways, aren’t you? It suits you.”
Zeeta blinked back at him in surprise. He knew a lot more than she thought he would. He wasn’t just some back alley hook-up kind of guy–he had depth and intelligence. He was observant, taking in her every last detail and committing it to memory. However, from his grumpy demeanor down to his cybernetic eye, he wasn’t just some ordinary clone either. Maybe that was why she was so drawn to him in the first place.
She opened her mouth to speak again, but Wolffe had finally found a way to knock her off guard and took his chance to strike. He buried his face in the juncture where her jaw met her neck and laved hot passes of his tongue along the corded vein of her pulse.
“W-Wolffe.” Zeeta could say nothing else in response as a breathy moan escaped her deep brown lips.
“Commander,” he corrected, releasing the tension he’d suckled onto her skin with a pop. “I like hearing you call me that. Makes it seem like I have power over you.”
“Only seems that way if I allow it… mmmm,” she tried to scold him, but her outburst earned her a pleasant nip to her collar bone and it made her eyes hood closed. Blood pounded through her veins and overwhelmed her to the tips of her twin head tails as he worked dark hickies onto her skin.
“I think if it feels this good, I might be able to sway you into behaving for me.” Wolffe pulled back slightly to watch himself draw the pads of his fingers along the lacy bra caging her breasts in. “Want to see what you’ve got under this.”
Zeeta inhaled deeply, making him giddy as her breast filled his palm obscenely. “Room’s… first door on the right… if you’ll let me move–”
“Thank you,” he replied, suddenly scooping her off her feet and wrapping her legs around his waist. “If I had to watch you walk another step, I’d take you right here in this hallway,” he practically purred in her ear. He pulled her body close to his chest with one arm, her lekku swaying in the air as he spun around to take off down the hall.
“Impatient,” she giggled, looping her arms around his head to rest on his shoulders. Zeeta rolled her hips against his lower torso, her center grazing him just enough to create the friction she needed to spur them both on. With both his large hands kneading either side of her ass, he lifted her off him and she groaned in frustration.
“Don’t think I’m the only impatient one, darling,” he teased with a scolding lilt to his tone. He shifted her weight into one of his arms, using the other to shove open the door to his room hurriedly. He rushed inside, kicking the door closed behind them and setting her back down on her feet. Slowly, he glanced around the room, taking in his new surroundings and ensuring there weren’t any other doors he needed to lock before they carried on.
Zeeta cocked her head at him curiously. “What? You’ve never been in your own room before?” She folded her arms and bumped him teasingly with her shoulder.
He ran his hand nervously along the back of his neck and shrugged. “Uh, no I haven’t. Not really. Not this nice anyway. Even the private quarters in our barracks were still uh… you know military barracks. Not exactly ideal for having company.”
“But that never stopped you, I’m sure, Commander,” she smiled, resting her hand on his bicep and stepping close to him again.
He shook off whatever memory he was processing and turned toward her, placing his hands on her hips to steady himself. “No, it didn’t. This is just a lot nicer and we won’t have to worry about getting interrupted. Which means my opportunities to try things are limitless. Does that scare you?” The same dark, carnal glare he’d given her all night reappeared on his handsome face.
“Of course not. I’m down for anything,” Zeeta flirted back, reaching up to hold his cheek as she leaned in to kiss him again. With her lips hovering above his, she muttered softly, “Though from what Mari tells me, we should probably establish some ground rules.”
Wolffe rolled his eyes and worked his jaw in annoyance, “That girl… nosy little thing could learn a thing or two about establishing boundaries,” he chuckled, letting one hand travel up Zeeta’s back and lazily stroking her left lekku affectionately. She shivered at the delicate touch from such a severe man and leaned into him for more. “She is right, though. Need to go over safe words and whatnot. Think you know all about that.”
Zeeta hummed affirmatively, starting to get lost in his touch on such a sensitive part of her. If he was someone she knew a little better, she’d probably enjoy laying around with him and letting him be so domestic and caring like this. That wasn’t what either of them was here to do, though, so she’d have to put how much she was enjoying this tender moment aside and listen to him for now. “Uhm… yeah. Y-yes, right. Rules and safe words.”
“The color system. Does that work for you? Green means we’re in the clear. Yellow, slow down, and red, a hard stop?” he asked, his warm palm shifting to massage the back of her neck in an attempt to continue softening her. He pressed impossibly closer, his thighs brushing up against hers as he guided them both toward the large bed in the center of the room.
“Yes, that’s perfect. Non-verbal stop… I tap you anywhere three times, got it?” She let her hands graze down the front of his sprawling chest. He somehow felt even bigger now that she was this close to having him the way she wanted to. He grumbled deep in his chest, holding her in place as he leaned in to rest his forehead on hers.
“Affirmative. Anything you don’t like that I should know about?” He tenderly kissed her forehead, his adept fingers softly stroking where her left tendril met her neck. His lips grazed her temple and kissed down her jawline, showing an impressive level of restraint for a man who had nearly stripped her in the hallway moments ago.
Zeeta let herself melt into his kisses and laughed affectionately, grabbing at the black duraweave material of his shirt. “Don’t touch my asshole. That’s for men who take me on dates first.”
Wolffe snorted, nipping at her neck and soothing it with his warm tongue. “Fine,” he agreed, running his hand underneath the silky black strap of her bra and slipping it off her shoulder. “But I will have you there, too… some other time. After you agree to let me take you out, of course.” His touch followed where the strap fell, peeling one side of the lace top off her breast and gazing down at it.
Zeeta bit her bottom lip to hold back her shaky whimpers. His warm mouth on her neck and his touches traveling wherever he damn well pleased were putting her on edge. “What makes you think I’d agree to that?” she teased, but he interrupted by kneading her breast firmly, a satisfied smirk curling his lips at the corners as she let out a gasp.
“Come on now… don’t pretend you don’t like me, cyar’ika.” He nipped her collarbone briefly, his kisses roaming down her chest as he worked the other side of her bra off her shoulder. With two fingers he gently tugged at her nipple, pebbling it to hardness and waiting until she made any sound in response before stopping.
She watched him enjoy her body while she ran her hands up the nape of his neck and tugged at his dark curls defiantly. Zeeta grinned in delight now that he was preoccupied with her chest and muttered, “Please. I barely know you, Wolffe.” At that, he grunted and snapped the delicate lace along her back in half, the bra falling to their feet.
“You get naked for every guy you barely know? Or just the ones you like?” he challenged, stepping back to stare at her and running his tongue along his lower lip to signal his illicit satisfaction. He exhaled and let out a low whistle. “Fuck… look at you…”
Zeeta stepped up to him and tugged at the hem of his top, urging him to take it off. “Not just guys, Commander,” she muttered seductively “A girl’s got needs, and I’ll satisfy them whether I like someone or not. Now take this off. I can’t be the only one half-clothed, handsome.”
His brows raised in surprise as he pulled his top over his head and let it puddle on the floor beside Zeeta’s. To say he was in impeccable shape would be an understatement. His bronze skin rippled over pronounced pectoral muscles, with shoulders and arms to frame them that were just as gloriously toned and flexing with his every inhale. His lower abs were strong and thick with both his sides carving down into where his hips dipped into his bottoms, but his belly was just soft enough to look lived in, comfortable and healthy. Zeeta would spend all night leaving her mark on every inch of him if she could.
Silvery, faded scars dotted numerous places on his torso making Zeeta ache to think he’d been put in harm’s way this often. A man this jaw-droppingly handsome should be spending all his days between her thighs, not getting his pretty face blasted to smithereens.
“You are quite something, Commander.” She inched closer, tracing down his lower abs to loop her fingers in his waistband. “I could have a lot of fun with all of you.”
“So ask for permission and we will,” Wolffe said, reaching for her waist and dipping down to guide her hand down his bottoms a bit further. Zeeta grinned up at him slyly and spun them both around, pushing him down onto the bed behind him with as much of her strength as she could muster.
“I don’t need your permission,” she laughed tortuously as his eyes went wide, watching as Zeeta slowly hovered down between his legs. “You need mine, baby.”
Wolffe propped himself up on his elbows and watched through hooded eyelids as she settled herself between his thick thighs. He didn’t have it in him to fight her right this second, not with her so close to where he’d needed her all night. “We’ll see, darling. Remember how impatient I am...” he trailed off, groaning softly as she slipped a hand past his waistband to palm him over his underwear. “Fuck.”
“So mouthy what am I going to do about that?” Zeeta cooed, palming him agonizingly slowly and watching his chest heaving in an attempt to keep his composure. He looked so sexy all worked up and Zeeta had to keep herself from drooling whenever their eyes met. She was supposed to be the one in control here, she had to focus.
With her other hand, she tugged on his bottoms and slid them down his thighs enough to get them out of her way. Both her lekku trembled with excitement as she leaned forward to press kisses into the soft hair and skin just below his navel.
“I know what I want you to do with yours,” Wolffe said gruffly with a wicked grin, rolling his hips up into her hand.
Zeeta could feel the ache of him against her palm, every thick vein throbbing with need. He was just as big as she expected and she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t eager to see it.
“I don’t hear you asking me very nicely,” she teased, sucking a deep mark on his v-line.
He hissed in response, punching his fist into the mattress below him. Relenting and relaxing back onto his right arm, he let his other hand trace her cheekbone. “Suck my cock…” The pads of his fingers caressed her face, slipping underneath her chin to tip her face up to meet his lust-laden gaze. He rolled his eyes and mumbled softly, “Please?”
“That’s a good boy. Now you’ve earned it.” Keeping her eyes locked with his, she hooked her fingers into his waistband and slipped his briefs down. His thick cock sprung free, slapping up against Zeeta’s cheek. She dropped her jaw in awe and smiled excitedly. “You have the right to be a little arrogant, walking around with this.”
He laughed, curling his hand around the side of her neck and guiding her face toward him. Wolffe held her gingerly, doing his best not to push her. “So show me what you can do, gorgeous.”
Zeeta pressed him down onto his back and helped him slide his briefs the rest of the way off. She brought her fingers to her mouth and twirled her wet tongue between them, her dark lips curling into a teasing smirk as she watched him squirm, and snaked her fingers around the base of him, lazily stroking him with the same rhythm as before as she settled herself between his thighs.
“You’re so wound up, huh? No one’s touched this pretty cock in a while. I’m so lucky I can make it all mine,” she said softly, carefully bringing his tip to her lips. She kissed it, letting her tongue dart out to flick a bead of precum from his slit.
“Cyar’ika… fuck–please…please do,” Wolffe panted, scowling down at her as his brows furrowed together in focus. He practically whimpered as she flattened her tongue, pressing his tip on the width of it and glancing up at him feigning innocence. Wolffe grumbled his enthusiastic approval, probably relishing in the sight of her like this before him. “Hmph–don’t tempt me or I’ll stuff that bold little mouth full of me.”
Zeeta arched her brow defiantly, slapping him on her tongue twice before suckling another wet kiss around the sensitive tip and taking him in her hot mouth. He sighed, his jaw dropping and his dominant ire melting away as she bobbed her head gently, swallowing more of him each time. Veins throbbed against her lips as all the blood in his body seemed to swell at his center. She closed her eyes briefly, enjoying the pounding sensation of him on her tongue and his desperate grip on her right head tail.
She hollowed her cheeks, increasing the tension pulling on him as her plush lips glided along his shaft. Her hands jerked and twisted the rest of him and she hummed around him to signify how much she was enjoying this. Every so often, her bright green eyes flicked up to meet his, watching her hungrily as his pleasure increased and his muscles flexed as he relaxed into it.
“Filthy fucking girl,” he swore as she swallowed, her throat contracting around him making him outright moan. “You love that cock, don’t you?” he asked, stroking up the back of her neck and trying anything to keep up the battle for control. He certainly knew where to touch her and how to make her brain go fuzzy.
The heat licking in her core flared up with every press of his fingers into her working muscles. She couldn’t help but give in a little and nod her confirmation as she popped off him.
Saliva trailed from her lower lip to the rim of his tip, leaking down his shaft and coating her fingers obscenely. It was sloppy, explicit, and sexy and Zeeta was sure the wave of desire for him now clouding her thoughts was making her drawn-out worship of his cock even slower. She slipped her tongue over her swollen lips, tasting the remnants of him.
“I could spend all night swallowing you down until you fill my throat, but now I’m impatient, Commander. I need more.”
Zeeta sat up on her haunches, admiring the astonishing width of his perfectly toned torso and walking herself up to his face. He watched her crawl up to him, stealing a glance at where the globes of her breasts dangled over his chest. She giggled, straddling his center with her own and allowing him to feel her drenched heat through the thin material.
Wolffe groaned at the contact, his hands flying up to grip the plush of her upper thighs. He maneuvered her against his cock, the dragging friction of her still-clothed center intoxicating him. “Then you won’t be needing these.”
Before she could slow the bucking of her hips, his large hand smacked against the round of her right asscheek and he laughed depravedly as she gasped. He smoothed his hands down the curve of her lower back, slipping her tight bottoms down her legs, panties and all. “If this little pussy’s as good as that mouth… fuck I’m going to pound you. Not used to a sexy little brat ordering me around.”
She shuddered in delight at his words. She was used to taking charge and getting what she wanted, and she was absolutely going to with Wolffe. Yet, something about that deep grit in his tone made Zeeta want to spiral out of control. He was such a cool bastard, so demanding and powerful, exactly how she always felt she was. But for some reason, with him, she felt just as safe letting him be that way for a change, too. He’d have to earn that, of course, because Zeeta would never have sexual relations with anyone without the thrill of ever-shifting power dynamics, but she was starting to consider what it would be like to let him have the reins.
“I thought you knew how important it was to follow orders, Commander,” she replied, resting her palms on his chest and dipping forward to kiss him tenderly. He hummed softly, trying to come up with a response when Zeeta slid her fingers around his neck. “Color?” she reminded in a whisper, stroking his cheekbone with one hand before allowing the other to close any tighter.
“Green, darling,” he winked, bumping her nose affectionately with his to egg her on. His hands roamed down her sides gingerly, making her shudder now that nothing stood between his touch and her crimson skin. ‘But getting more urgent. You’re killing me…” Wolffe smirked, his complaints making her chuckle.
She tightened her grip on his neck, erotically pressing the pads of her fingers against his pulse points. “Good. The less you listen to me, the longer I’ll drag this out.” Zeeta finished her scolding with a quiet moan, rubbing up against his cock with her slick folds. Her clit throbbed with need as she denied herself, too, trying desperately to ignore the tightening knot of desire in her lower belly. “Bet everyone thinks of you as such a tough man, hmm? Always in charge, doing as you please…” she giggled cruelly just beside his ear.
He shifted to reach for her hip, but she grabbed his arm and pinned it beside his head. “And usually…” his voice strained as he gulped under Zeeta’s grip, “always getting what I want.” Wolffe challenged her, tipping up to kiss her again and whining when she moved out of his reach.
She sat up, her grip on his neck holding him still beneath her, and smiled at him. “Don’t worry, Wolffe, you will.” Zeeta turned to watch herself line up her entrance with his tip and then back to face him, maintaining the tantalizing eye contact that had drawn them to each other in the first place. “But not before I get what I want first.” She jerked her hips forward, sinking halfway down onto his cock and eliciting a garbled grunt from Wolffe as her walls suffocated him.
Zeeta’s jaw dropped open and a filthy moan escaped her lips as he split her open. She tested a few shallow bounces on him, letting him sink deeper and deeper within her heat each time. Her chest heaved and her tits bounced, making Wolffe’s mismatched eyes roll back in delight.
“Take… whatever–whatever you want,” Wolffe muttered through gritted teeth as his face hardened to show his restraint. It had been a while for him, she could tell by how viscerally his body was reacting to being touched. It was taking every ounce of strength and discipline within him to stave off the inevitable, which meant he was capable of withstanding her ruthless teasing. He just had to try.
She whimpered in delight, bearing her pointed teeth as she smiled through the mixture of pleasure and pain. “That’s more like it, Commander. I like it when you comply. Such a good boy, for me,” she cooed salaciously, shifting her grip on his neck to instead hold his jaw. Wolffe’s cock twitched inside her and she hummed in surprise. “You like that, huh baby? When I tell you how good you are? How much I love what your big, pretty cock does to me? Tell me…”
“Fuck… yeah I love it. ‘S so hot, Zeeta. Love how much you enjoy me,” Wolffe replied, grinding his hips with hers as she sunk down onto him again. “Ride me fucking harder when you fuck me. I need it… harder.”
The heat from his mismatched gaze swirled hotter in her belly, so she picked up the pace, lifting and slamming down on him faster. She released his arm from where she’d pinned it on the bed and both his hands quickly found their place on the thick of her round hips. She rose and fell on top of his cock as fast as she could, her hips grinding into his and the lewd slapping sound of skin against skin filled the room.
Zeeta’s heart hammered in her chest as she reveled in the drag of him inside her. He was thick, spreading her swollen walls apart and spearing into her deeper with every thrust. “Gods, Wolffe you’re so good. So good for me,” she huffed between gasps for air, exerting all her energy to bring him closer to his climax.
She brought both her palms to rest on the width of his broad chest again and smiled in satisfaction as she felt his heart pounding beneath them. She could tell he wanted to speak and was probably used to being a lot more chatty when he was in control. Instead, he bit down on his lower lip to hold his tongue and quiet his grunts of ecstasy.
He watched in silent awe as her body bounced on top of him, alternating between gripping her plush hips to help her ride him and massaging her breasts to make her erupt in goosebumps.
Wolffe’s quiet confidence and intimidating glare were maddeningly attractive to Zeeta. As much as she wanted to maintain her dominance over him, the coiling pressure he was coaxing tighter with each heavy stroke had her teetering far too close to finishing for her liking.
She couldn’t help but feel that this was what he wanted—to give her the illusion of control while he got to reap all the benefits of watching her work herself into a frenzy over him. He was quite the mindfuck, even for someone like her, and was so much more than he seemed.
Suddenly, Wolffe’s large hand spanked her right cheek and gripped hard, shifting her further down on top of him. The delightful sting on her ass made her whine and she dug her nails into his chest.
“Fuck me like you mean it, darling,” he growled lowly, twisting his hips to grind into her. Zeeta lost her rhythm as his tip speared into the deepest part of her walls, her jaw dropping and his name spilling out. “And if you can’t anymore, I’ll gladly take your role. Though, you do it so beautifully.”
Zeeta scowled down at him, her determination and unbreakable will giving her new strength. “We go until I finish, Commander. You can’t sweet talk your way out of this,” she chuckled devilishly. “Don’t forget who’s in charge here.” She slowly gyrated her hips, relaxing the pace and tightening her walls around him torturously.
“Yes, ma’am,” he chuckled, continuing to guide her hips. Any other remarks he had queued up melted away as she contracted around him, and he threw his head back into the pillows beneath him, the corded muscles in his neck and shoulders begging to be nibbled.
His hands on her ass pulled her down onto him further, holding her in place as he thrust up into her brutally. He was losing all patience and restraint as his orgasm drew nearer, and his grip tightened on her skin, which would probably leave dots of purple bruises all over her backside.
Zeeta could feel every ounce of strength he possessed just begging to be unleashed, and his resolve only increased the more she tortured him. She could only hold on a little longer before the drag of him inside her would pull her under the wave building in her belly.
Before she could lift her hips again, Wolffe slid his hand up the curve of her sides, circling his grip around her throat. He smirked up at her, knowing what this would do to her. He knew how much she enjoyed it all along; he was waiting for the right moment to spring it on her. “Cum, cyar’ika. I can feel how much you want to. Let go for me. Give up. Let me take over.”
Zeeta felt the heated tension boil over inside her, as the pads of his fingers pressed into her pulse just enough to make her head spin delightfully. She dug her nails into his chest, her entire body flexing as she let him crash into her spot one final time.
The lick of fire in her gut exploded into stardust, overheating her from the inside out and making the beads of sweat on her skin tingle as it soothed the sizzle within. He won, bested her without even breaking a sweat. No one had ever done that before. No one ever made her cum first.
Her jaw slackened as she called out his name in a high-pitched whimper. She couldn’t take her eyes off the way he looked at her, ravishing her body with that same passionate gaze. Finally, she relinquished her control and let him take her.
With his grip on her throat grounding her, he buried himself to the hilt and sat up to press his forehead to hers. For just a moment, he let her swim in the dangerously dark lust others were too intimidated to ever experience.
“Love it when you look at me like that. You’re fucking fearless,” he growled, his lips just inches from hers, “and such a good girl, too. Feels so good when you take it so rough huh?” He tipped forward to kiss her tenderly, holding her tight to his lap and biting her lower lip playfully.
Zeeta moaned into the kiss, resting her hands on his jaw and letting him consume her. As the explosion of tingles slowly eased through her last nerve, she felt the spark between her thighs ignite once again.
He watched her move now just like he watched her dancing before—as if fucking was an art form and she was his muse. His dark gaze was glued to where their bodies meshed as he watched her desperately rut against him.
“M-more, Wolffe. More. Please. Please, more,” Zeeta rasped with every exhale. The rush of feeling him all around and inside her was irresistible and addictive.
Wolffe laughed almost cruelly, running his thumb along the underside of her jaw. “Ok, darling. I’ll give you more. I’ll give you everything you could ever want. But we do it my way this time and like I said before, I will not be gentle.” He let go of her throat and held her face in both hands. “Color?”
Through the post-pleasure haze still clouding her head, she flashed Wolffe that same searing, sexy grin and batted her dark lashes at him. Her tongue darted out to wet her lips as she relished in the anticipation.
“Green,” she uttered with a shaky exhale.
The wicked grin across Wolffe’s handsome face made all the muscles in Zeeta’s core clench with want. He tipped her forward to kiss him slowly, far more tenderly than what she knew would be coming next.
“Good girl,” he whispered as he pulled away, stroking her cheekbone with the back of his knuckle.
In a second, he slipped out of her, rolled her over, and instructed her onto all fours while he rose to his feet against the side of the bed. The wall of hulking muscle that was Commander Wolffe now stood behind her, his large hands stroking down either side of her and massaging circles along the tense muscles of her back. Lower and lower the touches went, making Zeeta keen for more of this unexpectedly gentle side of him.
Suddenly, his hands gripped the plush of her hips roughly, positioning her center higher into the air and opening her folds up right in front of him. A deep laugh rumbled through his chest as he ran a thumb through the glistening wetness already coating her from before. He brought his glossy digit to his mouth and savored her on his tongue for the first time with a low groan of delight.
Zeeta whined impatiently, turning to get a better view of him behind her threatening to overtake her. Both his eyes rolled back in his head, his eyelids fluttering briefly before noticing her eagerly waiting for him. She rolled her hips back into his thighs, trying to spur him on and make him resume at a faster pace.
“I thought you weren’t going to be gentle,” she teased, both her lekku slowly entwining together in enjoyment.
“Is that a challenge, pretty girl?” he groaned, his hand running over the globe of her ass before striking a well-placed slap onto it.
Zeeta squealed excitedly, the anticipation sizzling over her every goosebump as the pain swelled into pleasure across her skin. “I told you that’s what I wanted,” she retorted, completely unafraid to push her luck with him. Before she could say another word, he pulled her by the hips across the silky sheets and dragged her glistening folds over the width of his throbbing cock. His tip bumped her aching clit perfectly, the pleasure already building in Zeeta’s burning core. She emitted an illicit moan, looking back at him desperately.
“Since you’re such a little brat all of a sudden,” Wolffe scolded, sighing as he felt the pull of her warmth so close to him again, “I’m going to fuck you like one.” He jerked his hips back, notching his tip with her entrance and plowing into her so hard it made her mind blank. The most delightfully sharp pain sent sparks through her system and spots behind her eyes as he bottomed out inside her.
“Wolffe!” she screamed, her fingers digging into the sheets for purchase as she held on for dear life. It was like all the restraint inside him had dissolved. Faster and faster his hips snapped, sending his cock barrelling into her deepest spot so many times Zeeta could no longer remember any other feeling but the burning sting of pleasure.
“Commander,” he corrected, swatting her left cheek this time and leaning over to press his chest to her back. “Don’t forget who’s in charge here,” Wolffe hissed against her neck, mocking her with the same sentiment she’d used on him earlier.
The front of Wolffe’s powerful thighs slapped into the back of Zeeta’s over and over again, filling the room with the explicit slapping sounds of skin against skin. He wrapped his arm around her torso and slid his hand across her belly, feeling for where his tip bulged with his every thrust.
Zeeta could only cry out in quiet squeaks of ecstasy, feeling the heat in her body flooding to lubricate the length of him prying her open. He groaned and whispered praises along her overheated skin, his hips never slowing and his never-ending endurance keeping up the brutally erotic pace. His kisses traveled down the delicate curve of her slender neck until he bit down on her shoulder hard enough to leave teeth-mark-shaped bruises for days.
She wanted to mouth off or say anything she could to one-up him and regain control. Yet, there was nothing left of her but the resignation of her will to him. His breath on her neck, hot and heavy, matched the girth of him filling her truly full for the first time. Every time she exhaled, all the space inside her was filled with more of him.
“Harder,” she mewled, reaching back to pull at the curls at the nape of his neck. He let out a drawled groan, gripping her hip tight enough to bruise. “C'mon, Commander. Fuck me like you mean it,” she challenged using his words, teasing him exactly like he did her. He snarled in amused delight and let go of her hips, holding her up with only the strength of his core and thighs.
“You don’t know what you do to me, cyar’ika,” he hissed, lifting himself off of her and running both his hands down the length of her lekku. He had noticed they were sensitive earlier and hadn’t passed up the chance to stroke her there. She gasped at the touch, her body spasming as he gripped either of them in his hands and tugged just hard enough to be pleasurable.
“Fuck!” Zeeta moaned loud enough for all of Ryloth to hear, dropping to her elbows as her hands slid out from under her with her knees not far behind. “Fuck, right there, Commander. Don’t stop!” she pleaded, tears welling in her eyes and edging down her cheeks.
“Wouldn’t dream of it. You feel too fucking good, my dirty girl,” he laughed affectionately, his thrusts becoming deeper and more languid as he pulled her into him repeatedly. She could feel him pounding into her puffy walls, the squelching sounds of her wet core making her hotter than she could ever recall feeling. The dull ache of his cock thrummed against her collapsing walls, the most beautiful groans she’d ever heard coming from this impossibly handsome man. It was perfect. Way too perfect.
The tension in her belly coiled tighter as she caught sight of them both from the reflection of the mirror across the room. He was menacing, controlling, broad, and gorgeous, the only man she’d ever relinquished control to like this and she fucking loved it.
Wolffe followed her gaze, guiding her up to a kneeling position by both head tails. “Since you want to enjoy the show so much…”
Zeeta’s piercing green eyes were clouded with mesmerizing lust and the tension finally snapped the second they made contact with him in the reflection. She screamed, her hands searching for anything to grab onto and finding the strong sanctity of his arm circling around her waist. He bounced her on top of him, balancing her and carrying her to heights unknown. “I’m so close… so close, Commander.”
He buried his head in her neck, groaning curses and nipping along her pulse. “Me too. Little more for me, darling. Just a little more,” he egged her on, his hand sliding down to play with her clit. She turned her face, desperate to lose herself in him, to let him completely consume her. She rested her forehead against the side of his temple, peppering tiny kisses along his clenched durasteel jaw.
“Be a good boy and cum with me. Together,” she whispered, feeling herself rocketing over the edge toward her climax quickly. She wasn’t going to last much longer with Wolffe’s hips stuttering against her backside. His thrusts were becoming erratic as she begged for him so sweetly. “Cum for me, Wolffe.”
Wolffe let a deep, throaty moan rip through his broad chest and he reached for her face as delicately as he had before. With her chin pinched between his fingers, he rested his forehead on hers and locked eyes with her. “Fuck, cyar’ika.”
He traced another few circles along her clit and Zeeta finally let go. The bright tingles of her climax spread through her, her insides locking down around him as his cock twitched hard. Wolffe’s breathing was ragged, his furrowed brow focused on the ecstasy written all over her beautiful face, and it sent him over the edge.
A few shallow thrusts in and with one final snap, he buried himself as deep as he could bear and painted her insides full of his warmth. He held her to him, the strength in his bulging biceps refusing to falter even as his climax ripped through him emptying ribbon after ribbon inside her walls and the comforting, steadying warmth collecting there.
“D-don’t move, Wolffe,” Zeeta panted, stroking his cheekbone with her fingers and kissing him desperately.  She smiled happily and relaxed into his arms as her body went boneless. “Feels so good to be full of you. Fuck.”
He carefully lowered her to the silk sheets beneath them, balancing his body weight on his forearm and coaxing her still-spasming body through her climax. As he hovered over her, he bit his bottom lip, admiring her curvaceous frame and leaning down to kiss parts of her he’d bruised and bitten.
He massaged her clit gently, overstimulating her just enough to make her opening quiver as he pulled out, and she finally stilled with a whimper at the loss of him. His spend followed, dripping down through her folds to pool on his bedsheets.
“Took all of me like that… so fucking hot, Zeeta,” he cooed, running soothing circles across her inner thighs.
She watched him with intrigue as her exposed chest rose and fell in front of him. The brooding man she knew before was gone and replaced by someone even more alluring. He was worshiping every inch of her, kissing wherever he could reach and not wasting a single breath without telling her how beautiful she was. It was the kind of aftercare she always craved. She reached for him silently, whining with what was left of her voice.
He understood immediately, scooping her up in his arms protectively as he rolled over beside her and pulled the sheets over them for warmth. Zeeta shivered at his featherlight touches along her blue-dappled shoulders.
“You win,” she giggled, resting her head on his shoulder and running her hands through his hair. For the first time, Zeeta realized just how exhausted he looked. His eyelids hooded as he got more and more drowsy in the afterglow of their shared climax.
“Only ‘cause you let me, gorgeous.” Wolffe smiled from ear to ear, affectionately brushing her cheek with his thumb.
“Maybe,” Zeeta relented, smiling more shyly than she ever had before, even with a partner she had laid naked beside.
There was something about him that made her giddy and nervous, and it felt so foreign, but she also realized that she had never felt safer with any other partner before either. She had let him win because she wanted him to. Her heart soared as she watched how happy and at ease he was compared to when she first met him. She liked feeling like he needed her or he’d been waiting for her. “I think I like it when you win.”
Wolffe’s eyes had fluttered closed, the groggy pull of sleep threatening to take him away from her so soon. He hummed his agreement, “I knew you would.” He slowly drifted off, his fingers drawing lazy circles along her back.
For a few quiet moments, Zeeta just watched him breathe with a tender affection for him growing in her chest. He must’ve been through unimaginable pain, given the circumstances, and she was glad she could give him a moment of respite.
It could only be a moment, though. He would probably have to move on soon because staying on any planet too long couldn’t mean anything good for him. And from the looks of him and his crew, they had a mission to carry out. She couldn’t get in their way even if she wanted to.
Zeeta sighed, knowing her time with this unbelievable man was quickly coming to an end. She slowly eased forward to trace the line of his strong jaw into her memory before placing a tender kiss on his lips. Just as she began to back away he muttered, “Stay,” and his grip on her waist tightened with desperate need.
“Please stay.” His eyes cracked open again, and a twinkle of hope shone in his one dark pupil at the gentle admission. He was much softer than he’d like to admit, just like Mari said.
She couldn’t deny this dark, mysterious clone such a beautifully simple request. Not when he looked at her with the innocence of a man who had never quite known love before but was mustering all the courage in the galaxy to ask for it anyway.
“Okay,” she whispered softly, tucking herself into the crook of his neck.
Wolffe’s arms curled around her much more delicate frame protectively as if he could keep time itself from taking something so precious away from him. His hand cupped the back of her neck and cradled her into his chest. She could feel the steady beating of his heart beneath his skin and figured if she was the only one he ever exposed his gentle heart to, she might as well safeguard it while she could.
She watched over Wolffe as sleep drifted him away, just as the galaxy would eventually, too. Zeeta knew better than to fall for a man who could never be permanent, and yet watching him before her now, she so wanted him to be. Someday, maybe—when the war with the Empire was over and its warriors, both clone and Twi’lek, were free.
She lay there with him until the sun started to rise. Slowly, she slid out of his grasp and gathered last night’s clothes off the floor, dressing while he slept peacefully for the first time in perhaps his entire life. Zeeta smoothed a delicate hand along his cheek and kissed his temple. “Take care of yourself, Commander. Find me when this journey ends, I’ll be waiting.” With a quiet spin on her heels, she padded out of the room.
When Wolffe woke a few hours later to an empty bed his heart sank, the sobering truth of the loneliness of war hitting him like a ton of bricks. It was time to move on, with only a few tattered bits of her black negligee and half-moon-shaped claw marks dug into his skin to remember the most amazing woman he’d ever been with. He left for their next mission with an unspoken promise hanging in the air, left unsaid in the dense Ryloth haze.
