This is Rage in Heaven, done in 2017.

The lineart was drawn for a "Seven Sins" competition on DeviantArt back in 2012. I don't typically color my contest entries until well after the coloring portion of the contest is over. Part of it is having enough time, and part of it is that as much as I enjoy coloring, I don't really like to compete with it. So here's me coloring my contest lineart just for fun.

Yes, tiger-dragon-alien-samurai! The armor was inspired by my Samurai Spawn action figures, and the rest is me on a lark of fur, stripes, scales, spines, and fire. All my favorite things!

I made this with ink, watercolor, and Prismacolor pencils.

The BEANO T-13 Grenade

An experimental fragmentation grenade designed by the American Office of Strategic Services (OSS) and manufactured by the Eastman Kodak company, late in WW2. The concept for the BEANO hand grenade was that a spherical grenade the size and weight of a common baseball would be effective in the hands of American troops. The designers believed that by emulating a baseball, any young American man should be able to properly throw the grenade with both accuracy and distance.

The final design for the grenade utilized a pressure trigger as well as an in-flight arming device. The grenade was designed to be thrown as a traditional baseball, and as such it was held with two fingers. Once thrown, the knurled cap at the top of the grenade detached from the body, and a length of nylon string unwound until a secondary arming pin attached to the far end of the cord was pulled, arming the grenade to detonate upon impact with a hard surface.

tl;dr: they wanted every soldier to able to do this, but without having to be an actual baseball pitcher.

Someone should document all the people trying to sell weird weapons to the military during the Iraq war and the early days of the Afghanistan war. Also, the gear they tried to sell. This would include things like the XM8 rifle, Dragonskin body armor and other things. The closest thing we had to people documenting it was this one show where this Navy Seal goes over these new weapons like he's the Crocodile Hunter. It was in the late 2000's and it was interesting but also a product of it's time. I forget the name of the show. Seriously, it was wild to see these people try to sell their bizarre stuff to the military back then. I'm not sure we'll see anything like that again.

Weird Weapons Research

Mr Toots - Red Faction Armageddon. It is quite literally a really overpowered weapon that is a unicorn. THE WEAPON WORKS BY MAKING SAID UNICORN FART. I cannot believe what I have just had to witness.

The Dubstep Gun - Saints Row IV. A gun that shoots dubstep music? I suppose it's not as bad as Mr Toots but it is still incredibly weird. It seems to make people dance upon shooting them? I have no idea. Here's a video. https://youtu.be/3UkTYiYcpho?feature=shared

Groovitron - Ratchet and Clank. A weapon that allows you to make your enemies dance. This it definitely one of the best weapons I have ever seen and it's in one of my favourite games. https://youtu.be/e4LI6ll8OMI?feature=shared

Mutated Milk - Team Fortress 2. The mutated milk seems to actually help the player. When thrown on to enemies, 60% of the damage you do to them while they have the effect will be given back to you and it will heal you. The Cluckshot - Gears Of War 3. Less of a weapon more of a supply drop. The Cluckshot is a strange box that sprouts a chicken and drops weapons similar to how a chicken lays eggs? I'll be honest I don't really know what to say about this one. https://youtu.be/hAVS0wVDoLQ?feature=shared

The Hand Cannon - Dead Space 2. This is no ordinary supporting glove, it actually shoots. You can only get it in one way and it is a tiresome effort to do so but I assume it's a good reward for doing that. https://youtu.be/xhU6zDzQPVI?feature=shared

Super Sheep - Worms. I have no idea how this one works as I can't find a video but I assume it works like a bullet and deals damage after flying through the air? Here is an image.

Now Danny didn’t mean to make a Bootube channel. He’d meant to send that sleep deprived ramble to Tucker, but he had clicked on the wrong app and yeah. Apparently people enjoy his space rambles- or it could have been the ghost blob-cats that had decided to flop onto him. (Honestly he wasn’t surprised they would start to mimic the shapes of things in their surroundings)
