The man was gaslighted to believe he was the one to set ablaze at that house for the longest time.

As sad as it is to admit, he was so lonely and desperate for some Human interaction, that he purposely let himself be cornered by Liu and the others, hoping they would try to talk to him. Sadly they never did.

He hates his nails, sharp and big, and they are so damn hard that a nail cutter does not work well enough. So, he asks Randy to take them off with a pair of pliers now and then. He cannot see the process, but it doesn’t hurt as much. Randy is practically immune to it, he doesn’t struggle with having to do it. It’s the same when his teeth ache, Randy takes care of it and keeps the teeth.

Sleep? He wishes, as his Partner was not the quietest. Randy moves like a worm in bed. No sheets after 12, they get thrown off the bed. Freezing in winter, that or die burning getting spooned in summer Ginger has no concept of temperature, at least not at night. Will freeze in the Winter and Jeff Ignites in Summer. Jeff gets his tiny naps through the day though, it helps to evade his night terrors.

He hates being alone and needs some attention, otherwise he tends to spiral downhill fast. After the incident, he does not trust himself much, so having Randy ground him is necessary. However, funny enough, a switch gets flipped under stress, making him perform way better and think clearly.

He is not an expert but knows his way around mushrooms and plants, so he is good at foraging, as Randy hunts down some animals to process. Jeff, thanks to his dad being a chef, knows how to process and get the most out of any roadkill or hunt, and they can make most things last long enough to have winter covered. He is a good cook but has a hard time with red meat. Having tasted human flesh has left him traumatized and he will have to hold his stomach over to stop himself from puking. Thanks to this, he prefers Fish a lot more, and cannot taste pork again.

Okay so in no particular order, I haven't read the third book yet, but here are my opinions on The Foxhole Court and The Raven King (SPOILERS BELOW):

- I love Andrew SO MUCH. He's so complicated and funny and literally crazy and I think he's a brilliant character. I love Neil too, and I think Kevin is... fine. I like Nicky, I feel really bad for him. I didn't really form any set opinions on any character until near the middle of the second book, and when the whole scene where they drugged Neil happened I was like UM?!?!?!? Didn't like them for a good bit after that

- My heart actually broke because Neil just wants to play Exy, and he KNOWS he shouldn't sign to the Foxes but he just wants to play the game he loves for one YEAR THAT'S ALL HE WANTS

- The story of how Neil's mum died. And the whole trauma of having to burn her body, and not being able to keep anything of hers (even her phone, and then not having a phone until Andrew forced him) was horrific

- Andrew being physically small and then being the most terrifying, unpredictable agent of chaos is fucking phenomenal

- The other Foxes calling Andrew's gang "the monsters" is soooo good I love that

- I did NOT expect Seth to die and it threw me. I literally had no clue what this book was about when I read it lmao

- Andrew and Aaron's relationship. Oh my god. They literally killed for each other. I am not okay

- The Ravens, as Neil so aptly points out, are ABSOLUTELY A CULT. No one should ever care about anything as much as they care about Exy. It's insane. The matching outfits and the like secret hideout?? Nope. Get me out of there

- I actually can't even talk about the whole bit with Drake because it was so awful, all I'll say is I'm glad that mf is dead

- Andrew trusting Neil with his car AND to protect Kevin?? They're in love, your honour. A weird, fucked up kind of love, but in love nonetheless

- Neil spending Christmas with the Ravens. The forced tattoo. The literal near-death beatings and abuse. All for Andrew

PREDICTIONS FOR THE FINAL BOOK

- Neil's dad is going to appear somehow

- Neil and Andrew are going to have some weird kind of relationship that neither one wants to define and it'll probably end badly and break my heart

- Riko dies (I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for this)

buffy - margo... loves buffy. so much. that's her bud. when no one else wants to talk to her besides oz buffy's like "!!! but you're so cool and your fashion style is iconic and why do you hang out with these loser dudes who don't appreciate you." she meets her through oz and then brings her into the gang. buffy is always trying to get margo to come out of her shell and love herself the way she is so loved. meanwhile margo kind of recognizes buffy's fundamental... brokenness? it's kind of recognition of the self through the other. like oh we are both extremely fucked up in different ways but nonetheless we are both broken. so they kind of bridge that gap of like. one of them trying to normalize and one of them trying to recognize. you need both!!

willow - it's kind of hard to dislike willow... for a while anyway. no but like margo has always been pro girls supporting girls so even when the guy she's in love with starts dating willow she's like. alright well im gonna like this girl if oz likes her. so she and willow are friends!! at first! and then when willow cheats on him with xander... oh boy hell hath no fury like margo scorned. perma-ice queen from then on out. the girls are fighting and buffy is putting them in their get along shirt (spoiler: they do not)

xander - xander is... fine. she thinks xander is fine. at times she finds him very annoying but ya know sometimes he's funny. she has a lot of things going on with cordelia (we'll get into it <3) so when they're dating she kind of withdraws from him a little bit but like. they're never really beefing. until the whole cheating scandal he gets it just as bad as willow.

giles - loves him. that's dad dude. she hates her parents so she needs some authority in her life. thank god for giles.

angel - basically 'buffy why is this weird angsty dude hanging around you. how old is he. oh he's a vampire. hm. oh he took your virginity and it made him evil. yeah let's kill this guy.'

cordelia - okay.... look. childhood friends to enemies back to ???. that's it. that's the whole thing. like they were besties and then they fell out when margo was diagnosed and then cordelia started bullying her. so they really fucking hated each other and then buffy also forced them into their get along shirt and it KIND OF worked. like cordelia was gradually becoming a better person and eventually even kind of apologized so like. i would never call them friends but they work their way into normalcy.

oz - her soulmate, her best friend, her forlifer. she loves that mf. best friends first (the only person who would talk to her and who totally accepted her for who she is) to lovers later.... i adore them sm

For transmale whose story revolves around their identity, there’s Ryou from Boys run the riot and Amane from Sakura chan to Amane Kun. They’re both handled well but I don’t exactly prefer how Ryou looks a bit feminine. I don’t mind it’s just an ick.

Yoshino from Wandering son (not pictured) started out great then what the fuck happened. He suddenly became female lol.

And the rest are all just tomboys living as men due to trauma one way or another which I do not see as being transsexual.

Mutsuki from Tokyo Ghoul and Yamato from One Piece.

Theres this one a lot of transmascs love that I went into with high expectations but the MC trans character is highly sexualised so yeah nope. (Manga is called Yuureitou). Just this image itself is uncomfortable.

I almost forgot but here’s one more from an older manga called Claudine. He has the typical feminine style of old shoujo manga but that’s fine. But again not fitting to the masculine desire. Well handled nonetheless. Very well handled, masculine character at heart.

There’s a character too in the well known Black Jack manga (medical genre) with a woman who got ovarian cancer, removed her female reproductive system and then became a man because he felt like more like a man after the surgery. Kei Kisaragi. Weird representation but he looks male and I fw that.

Lastly I’ll share a bit about Togata. I think he’s a character with accurate representation, even though he looks like a woman and eventually gives in to being called a big sis. I mean just reading this panel is already telling.

But again, nothing fits what I want exactly other than the first two. I really like tiger even though he’s a super minor character because the trivia literally just says he was female then went to Thailand HAHAHA. And he looks as manly as can be. I also love that random guy from Stone Ocean because again, male looking, but always hates how twitter mfs sexualised him.

The day there’s a transmale manga character who is rugged and shit and just ain’t a throwaway character, is the day I deem the world as not yet doomed.

sob. thank you op for raising that...i have been thinking about this azusa and furuya exchange again since reading on the Q&A about the 'romantic pair he cannot yet talk about', which made me go 'ah, ok. amuazu a real likelihood if it's a thing that is likely to make waves'...

and yeah...if it really happens, then it means we have to live with them being an item while this exchange also happened. we have to live with GA making us believe furuya would end up with someone who knows him only superficially and has done to him what he's been struggling with all his childhood (and faces into adulthood as well) i don't know how much character distortion or super intense development it requires (how many years is he gonna use) for me to believe this is a credible and lovely romance...

i am guessing that, in the cultural context, what azusa does here is simply considered innocent and quite common. but nonetheless, it really is a blatant statement of "I don't know you beyond the superficial". and furuya's response is the equally superficial "^^" and light impersonal rebuking that amuro does, he's not trying to get her to know him either.

of course, it's all extrapolation whether the remaining romantic pairs rly do include amuazu. but there simply arent many mf pairs left, and we know GA loves his comphet even if it adds nothing to the plot or makes little sense (he introduced a character like chihaya who screams lesbian and even has a dear uni friend only to pair her up immediately with juugo). there are even less mf pairs that would make a fuss. like, what, yoko x kazami? jodie x camel? wouldnt even make a ripple. the only other pair i can think of would be akai x rumi...or an unknown pair with haibara... so if amuazu does become canon, i might have to at least start adhering to the belief that ZTT/movies are in a different parallel universe as the main timeline (even if movie-canon facts are also manga-canon). azusa and furuya would still know each only superficially, with azusa only knowing his amuro persona, but eh, at least this specific characterization of azusa would be out of the way.

i did see that the original tweet came from an amuazu shipper account, while it seems most of the other tweets about the Q&A phrase the answer to that question in a more neutral way. so i will wait a bit...but i also feel like it's a possible thing for GA, especially considering the latest chapters where he's been teasing the ship more and more (WHILE NOT MAKING IT ROMANTIC) he's also done some very weird narrative choices lately, introducing aoko's mum in MK and doing acrobatics to explain her absence, thereby completely messing up the perfectly logical narrative of nakamori being an overworked single dad. im worried he might go ahead and do something equally crazy for furuya, like introducing that he actually had a family all along! who's proud of him and raised him normally but he just cut ties because of his job or whatever! so he's never really been isolated! azusa was his childhood friend but she forgot! and oh! somehow, amuro is the real persona, let's forget about grumpy, high-strung furuya of ZTT, so amuazu can work as a wholesome pair because azusa knew the real him all along!

that's the type of thing that would disappoint me the most. like, yes, i would also be a bit heartbroken because i like hc-ing azusa and furuya as lesbian and gay respectively. i like their dynamics as co-workers who dont really want to know each other on a deeper level, but work well together. but beyond that, i mostly worry that GA has to distort their characters as we currently know them to make this pairing work, and that he will do it, because unfortunately, he HAS done narrative choices before that were not bound by logical narrative flow and were only made to serve a purpose that only he enjoys...

But really, that dialogue in ZTT Ch. 1 that Aoyama either wrote himself or signed off on is insane, especially when you compare how Rei’s mixed heritage is addressed in WPS by his friends:

The only way this makes sense to me is if it was meant to further emphasize how alone Rei is in the here and now. He has no one who sees him as himself anymore, and neither does he have anyone who’d get angry enough to defend him. He himself is used to this level of othering- it’s not even worth getting mad at anymore, even if he might spitefully overcompensate at home by cooking up a storm of food that actually suits his tastes. So he’ll never bite back against it himself.

I assume Aoyama was planning an am*azu endgame from before ZTT started, considering that early am*azu fantasy chapter. Why in the world wouldn’t he have instead written Azusa as an ally to Rei, in that case? She could’ve defended Rei against a casually discriminating background character, cementing her as a proper friend to Rei that he hasn’t had since he lost his last police academy buddy.

Instead, he chose to do the exact opposite.

ok so: vil. idk why ppl in fanon treat him like he's so meannn he and riddle are literally the only two dormleaders that actually care for their dorm members *cries* like bro. b r o. i'm reading thru this thinking abt how i've been interpreting him kinda wrongly this whole time T^T

i wouldn't say i'm completely off, but vil isn't as mean as some ppl say. he's brutally honest but if you're working together on something he'll do his best to make sure you'll do your best. like with the healthy eating, he didn't even get mad when they drank epel's apple juice. he only used his um on the sweets, since he wanted them eating healthg up till vdc. i doubt he cared abt what they ate after ngl.

OH WHEN HE WAS TALKING ABT THE MASCULINITY AND FEMININITY THING. like guys !!! this is exactly it !!! he's literally teaching epel that being more feminine doesn't make you any less powerful or make you less male than you actually are. he's teaching him and to an extent even deuce, how to weaponize their strengths. in his case and epel's they've been blessed with beauty, so ofc he's teaching epel how to use his beauty to the max and make it into an asset rather than something to be looked down upon. obviously epel's struggled with being looked down for looking more feminine, and vil is trying to fix that mindset for him and teach him how to use it for his own good (e.g. advertising his family's juice business)

Eventually they all ended up in the same place, who's to know if they ever met eachother in their long lives.. (yes phil and foolish give us crumbs please it is an invitation).

Everyone else is more of a demigod entity to me (apart from bbh because i do entertain the thought that everyone who has op on the server is secretly a god BUT that would make Awesamdude a god which hMMMM, but also philza would be a demigod which kINDA MAKES SENSE because he ISN'T in fact immortal- imma stop myself)
