#a day in the life#neurodivergent#I’ve found that my motivation to do chores has significantly decreased since I’ve started living alone#because I have no external force to motivate me#so I have made friends with another person who lives alone#and today we both did our dishes (and I did some cooking) while on a discord call together#so we could pretend there was someone else there with us#and it was like I was helping him do his dishes#it was great#we’re gonna make this a regular thing

#funnily enough I’d say this: we’ve been in deep shit since FOREVER.#the way Barcelona works (ie deep issues within structure and management) goes back DECADES.#we are spectacularly mismanaged and unprofessional on top of having a victim hood complex.#the environment - whether mediatic or politic - surrounding the club is an utter and disfunctional nightmare.#in every club’s environnement there has existed corruption and favouring friends in positions you want them in#but it is especially the case for this club.#needless to say I am not saying all of fcb’s issues stem solely from itself and no exterior factors have ever influenced it.#a historically left wing club / figure head for a region/independentism movement / opposing centralism which controls the league/refs etc.#however as culers we tend to majorly - and rightfully - highlight the latest part without ever daring to question our precious multimil club#both factors (internal and external) have to be taken into account to understand ‘the deep shit’.#that said now. as I’ve said this *is not new*. we’ve had those issues for DECADES and yet this club became what it is today.#we’ve reached highest of highs and lowest of lows while dealing with aforementioned factors.#so my very tired take this evening is to chill out; nothing we can do but watch unfold.#perhaps once again La Masia youngsters and lucky choices of coach will drag us up. perhaps new political president conflict still battling#over cruyff’s heritage or against it will bring forth a good one; perhaps not.#overall a very Chill to us all.#we’re facing greatness and decadence and been on both sides of the coin; and there’s reassurance in knowing in both case we still did great.#this club has been rotting since mid 50s and you just have to roll with it and wait for the cycles to come and go.#anon ask#sorry it doesn’t make much sense rn I’ll talk about it more later. or NOT

Hate scifi-fantasy magic/energy dichotomies where they talk all about balance but use genocide one side or the other to achieve it. Buddy breaking the scale doesn’t make it balanced. What the fuck do you mean the dark ones are all evil? They have an evil ideology? Okay yeah I see where that can be taken as evil but - NO it’s not balance if the only thing left is the light! You’re telling me there’s never been an evil light user? Oh there has? Then why the fuck has there never been good dark users??? (Answer: author doesn’t care about representing balance they just want easily coded good guys and bad guys).

gonna write a whole thing someday about how characters of color who clearly have a history of trauma or mental health issues aren’t given consideration or acknowledgement in the fandom imagination
#this is first and foremost about yennefer being canonically suicidal and it being never brought up in fandom#but people can talk about how they think she’s a bitch just fine like we’re all stuck in 2005#but also applies to like just about every character of color who has a prominent role in sci/fi fantasy genre space#because they sure get made to suffer a lot by these writers but in the white imagination that’s not noteworthy at all?#but also Scott McCall#who deadass attempted suicide on screen in one ep?#suicide tw#which I have moved on from teen wolf but it for very obvious reasons another great example#or Michael Burnham who canonically had a fucked up childhood that gave her a lifelong martyr complex#but if you ask who clearly has ptsd on the show it’s not her because it needs to get spelled out even though she is the main character?#Or even Culber; they bonded once over how they both died!#but we don’t do that with white boy side characters 5-7#they try to hate crime someone on screen and people are making shit up to justify before whatever media it is finishes airing#we talk about diversity in media#but one of the catch 22s is that more diverse media tends to be genre media#because that’s allowed to push boundaries#but as a fan of color you have to mentally prepare yourself for witnessing trauma every time#meanwhile the silly no stakes fun shows get majority white or entirely white casts every time#so you get this fun thing where if you’re white and want a fun escape you get a buffet of laughs#and if you’re a person of color at best you *dont* get to see yourself die on screen#anyways this has been a middle of the night that no one should be taking seriously#*rant#gotta make sure everything referencing tw isn’t in the first 5 tags or I might wake up to a whole essay crying in the inbox

#as usual I have a terrible case of back from the beach blues#I miss the ocean and the sand and the seagulls and I wanna go back T_T#home and work are both shitshows and all I wanna do is lounge in the sun and swim in the sea#I miss the salty air#i keep trying to tell myself not to be bummed cause I have a few shorter trips planned#going back to Cape May next month either for a day trip or overnight the one weekend with my sister in law#and I might be going back to Ocean City for a long weekend in September for local’s summer#and me and my husband are planning on taking a day trip and exploring a few of Delaware’s beaches along the bay#that one’s a little more up in the air but likely September or October#and then we’re doing Kitt’s Hummock and Woodland Beach for sure#might do Deemer’s Beach cause it’s literally 3 mins away from the one shop we’re stopping at#but I’ve heard that’s not a great beach so we’ll see#might possible also do Bennett’s Pier Beach and Slaughter Beach and stop at the DuPont Nature Center#so three trips- one being a day trip the other being either a day trip or overnight and a possible third trip that’s a few days long#I’m excited for the Delaware one cause I’ve only ever been to Fenwick Island and Slaughter Beach#and like yeah they’re beaches on the Delaware Bay so it’s brackish and muddy but I don’t care#I’m just excited to explore some beaches I’ve never been to#but man the main big vacation is over and I have to wait a whole year and that’s what’s got me down I guess#little vexing about the distance#love that my fav place is only 3.5 hours away#but it’s just far enough to be a bit much for a day trip which is a bummer#we’ve done day trips in the past and they’re very fun but also very tiring#so I tend to only get to Ocean City MD once or twice a year#which bummer cause it’s my favorite beach#the beaches that are only like an hour and 20 mins aren’t that great Jersey-wise#so hopefully the Delaware adventure turns up a few that I end up liking a lot#I need to live closer to the ocean#I’m trying but man is shit expensive anymore ._.#one day soon I hope…

If you’re currently ONLY posting about the Israelis that are doing good things for Palestine/are against what their country is doing and pointing out when certain protestors that are not affiliated with the whole of the free Palestine movement are being antisemitic know I can fucking see you. Obviously these are important things to talk about as Israel does not equal all Jews and antisemitism should be called out every time because it’s fucking serious and disgusting that another entire group of people is being blamed for this genocide other than the colonists in charge and Zionists supporting it but you’re telling on yourself as only interested in covering your own ass and it’s embarrassing. New relationships are scary, I’m overwhelmed with feelings for him and he’s the same
I haven’t been in a relationship since I was way younger and I’ve never felt like this, he said he’s scared of his feelings for me they’re so strong 😭

Day 11: What whump media type do you prefer and why?
ok so I’m cheating a bit here bc I have two: firstly I love whump in the form of a tv show - I like getting to know the characters through both whumpy and non-whumpy episodes, and I loveeee the audio and visual aspect. actually seeing the blood, hearing the screams and whimpers, just having that extra sensory input, really makes the whump that much more enjoyable for me! however, I also absolutely adore written whump, primarily fanfic, because it’s pretty much always written with the whump in mind!! I know that the author and I want the same thing for the whumpee (pain and suffering), whereas in tv shows often the creators aren’t thinking of the pain and suffering and tend to not focus on the whump as much as I’d like. but both media are so so good and I honestly don’t know if I could choose just one :)

#pers#just cut out a big plot conceit that was just a holdover from old versions and not actually necessary#and reshuffling to make things make more sense with the new setup. It’s fun things are clicking really nicely#jax’s backstory was the hardest to adapt (em and mel jusy had to move cities) but their new one…it’s good.#they traveled around with samira doing random dangerous bullshit when both of them were like. early 20s and in bad mental places.#so now it’s like. samira showing back up on their sldoorstep again after years and they’re still so devoted to her#which is also the SAME thing she does to emily later in the story#we’re a solid 75% more roadside picnic rn which is a great thing for me#s/n
