Sad #i really wanted to include one where sif is crying... sorry sif...#70% of the time i was like “hmm this sif looks wrong” and the fix was to make their hat bigger unironically #i still dont think ive made the hats big enough tbh #it's so hard to fuse my artstyle with insertdisc5's artstyle... but i know i'm not the only one...#i'm glad ISAT is monochrome. i really struggle with color comprehension so this just means i can pump out more ISAT fanart theoretically...#...without it sticking out too much #or the opposite #without my hypothetical future fanart getting drowned out by mere color competition #i finally started ISAT after playing SASASA;AP 3 years ago... and promptly bingeplayed it within like a week #Not surprising. i think the thing i'm most disappointed about with riordanverse fandom now versus like 2014 is not only has the fandom not gotten any less racist or queerphobic or ableist (in fact in some regards its gotten worse!) but now it's just boring too. like there's no fandom infrastructure anymore - the community these days is almost entirely source material-driven - and you deviate from canon even slightly people get weird about it. whatever happened to the post-HoO fanon boom. the fandom needs to get weirder again. and self-sufficient. and less offensive.

#pjo #riordanverse #deep and weary sigh. we need to bring back the lower ecosystem rings of fandom #prop up some good ol' community spaces especially since a lot of old ones have totally petered out #< mostly referring to stuff like ye olde ship headcanons blogs #heck even doing a quick search for ''pjo headcanons'' the most recent blog was last active in 2017 and the other two in 2013 #there's an rp community floating around but im keeping tabs on the riordanverse askblog community and its a bit dire #there's been like what - *one?* maybe two major fandom aus that have floated around recently?#one moreso being one person's au that most people dont actually do much with #and the other more being like a half-hearted general concept that got kicked around for a couple of weeks #i am legitimately tempted to just go wild and start planning out and setting up like a hub for trying to revitalize the community #like the community EXISTS. it's THERE. it ebbs and flows! but now it only really does much when there's new official content #and it rarely exists outside of that #and given we are technically in a fandom boom right now with the show now is like. the perfect opportunity to set up fandom infrastructure #so that new fans have a place to go and integrate with the community and start pumping new life back into things #also i think the fandom becoming more self-sufficient could help with the offensive part since Rick sure isnt helping

the fact that they made it illegal to make ads louder than programs on tv in 2010 but haven't updated it to apply the same regulation to streaming. who do i have to call.

The Ice Deity and the Fire Deities

While very much male, the ice deity has been dubbed "Princess" by Ohime and Ohiwe since they love to give lil nicknames to their fellow deities. The two overheard mortals talking and using the phrase "ice queen" for the first time and were like "wait can you elaborate" and when hearing what it meant, they realized their ice deity buddy bro is nowhere NEAR that cold. So he can be the ice princess rather than queen. (he just accepts his fate from them and no other deity uses that nickname. it's just the fire duo)

#my characters #also worth mentioning maybe idk who cares but! while the deities do usually have their cities at a distance from each other #the ice and earth deities are absolute bros and just fuckin shack up in the same city basically #so if you travel to the city of earth there are two temples !#one for ice and one for earth #but ice is much lazier and is like hey man you can do whatever you want with the city okay? cool #and the earth deity is so pumped to spend all his time with his lovely followers AND his best friend?#that he kinda doesnt have the brain power to focus on all the details of creating a city so its honestly...#not the fanciest city but its one of the happiest? like everyone in that city is simply vibing #and with the protection of earth and ice the people are well sheltered and taken care of #and also if it matters to anyone ananza (wind deity) is super chill with earth but finds ice to be absolutely dull #like she wants to hear fun stories and princess is about as boring as ymber (the soggy water deity with depression)#which ymber finds out and is like wait how is ANYONE as bad as me in conversations thats awful news #but really princess is just indifferent to most aside from earth and the rare fire appearances #but since the fire pair like to visit the deities so they arent too alone in their immortality its like #well ice and earth have each other so we dont have to check in as often so lets just check on the others more #i talked in the tags way too much compared to what i meant to type out im sorry bye

Not going to lie, I’m surprised the fandom isn’t eating up the new tone shift and characters’ struggles in ep5. Maybe I’m not looking in the right spaces but fandoms usually love that stuff.

I KNOW I mean the amount of angst art that was made prior to the episode really made me think people were gonna take everything from the new ep and run with it. Though that's not to say people didn't. I've seen plenty of people discuss what happened in the episode (especially regarding John and his daughter/his family in general,, people were going insane over that and I get it like we're getting deeper into what happened to him and his family which I'm also super interested in. Plus seeing his photos in Ignacio's house really got people discussing his connections/past with the cult and how there's such a specific focus on John).
