not saying this to be snobby or anything but genuinely my default idea of what the phrase "video games" means is so fundamentally removed from average people's perception of a "gamer". like someone says they're a gamer and my first thought is "oh sweet me too! i wonder what stories theyve been partaking in lately. maybe some murder mystery vns, or a psychological horror jrpg?" and then they're like "yeah im top class in fortnite/halo/guilty gear/whatever storyless online competitive shooter/fighting game" and im like. oh right. i. forgot those are video games too.

lorelei and the laser eyes is a wonderful and beautiful game with an enthralling narrative and incredibly satisfying puzzles. it has made me think deeply on the nature of art and its fair to say im a little haunted by it. there is also a piss meter

college au roachghost where ghost is an architecture major and roach is a communications major:

they meet as first years who are randomly placed in the same dorm and end up just liking each other a lot and move into an apartment together after a year and just hang out with each other all the time and play video games etc. as they've spent more time together over the course of a couple of years they've gotten more and more physical with each other. it started out with just little touches here and there but eventually progressed to leaning on each other all the time, sitting pressed right up against each other, lying on the couch cuddling (like lying on top of each other style) to the point people think they're an item but they remain woefully oblivious to/don't particularly care about what people say about them

one night they're just hanging out playing 1v1 katamari damacy and roach is beating ghosts ass at it bc its his favorite game ever and ghost keeps moving closer and closer to him to try and distract him until hes fully sitting in his lap, chest to chest. roach is distracted by the game and doesn't even question why it makes him feel so good to have ghost so close to him like that, too caught up in lovingly teasing the only person he's ever let touch him at all. no one's ever touched him, let alone this much, but he just laughs and half-heartedly tries to look over his shoulder to keep playing, he giggles when ghost does as he leans forward and starts giving him shy kisses on the neck, subconsciously tilting his head to the side to give him more space. he doesn't even think twice about kissing back when ghost makes his way up to his face, kissing over his cheek and finally starts kissing him in earnest; it feels like the most natural thing in the world to have ghost on top of him, hands on his thick waist pulling him closer while ghost pushes him back into the couch cushions, leaning even more of his weight onto roach, getting his hands into roach's hair and sighing softly against him when he feels his best friend hug him tighter, and roach is so happy to be sharing himself and his space with the only person he's ever trusted enough to let get close

cute moments from the “here’s what you do” podcast, including shane claiming him and ryan would “certainly never bother to disagree with eachother”, ryan saying i love you and shane saying it back via code, and steven getting annoyed at ryan’s i love you because ryan and shane teamed up on him the entire episode to make fun of how quickly he says i love you to people 😭 (shane and ryan agreed 3 months is the soonest to say i love you to someone while steven has said it within days.) sweet boys! 💛

ppl act as if habit is abusing vinnie 24/7 and Is constantly torturing him AS IF VINNIES WHOLE ISSUE WITH HABIT IS THE FACT HABIT DOESN'T EVEN ABUSE HIM ENOUGH. He wants to be killed by habit but he KNOWS habit isn't gonna do it. he even pushes habit specifically to get a rise out of him. I saw hcs that made habit like physically cruel to Vinnie as he's getting with the reader and I was like???? not canon at ALL...

do people just ignore this part.. the whole "I'm not scared of you." and the fact habit is SOOOO GENUINELY BOTHERED BY THE FACT THAT VINNIE THINKS HE'S STALE. (LITERALLY RIGHT AFTER THIS VIDEO HABIT GOES "NEW YEAR NEW ME" like that is not a coincidence)

Vinnie and habit are supposed to be domestic, Vinnie is supposed to rely on habit for everything, he's supposed to think about habit when he thinks about comfort and safety bc that's what habit WANTS. Habit literally continuously tells Vinnie that he's protecting him and to never leave him. I mean it's literally to the point where Vinnie thought the world would LITERALLY COLLAPSE if he left habits side. like they have A FUCKED UP RELATIONSHIP ALREADY!!! there's no need to make habit do more shit he never did.... like we have this information right in front of our faces...

Like idk guys when you write x readers you WILL have to deal with the fact that habit and Vinnie have a weird codependency thing going on and habit literally does not want Vinnie going anywhere and only wants Vinnie with him. that demon you want has a very special pet human and you should show him some RESPECT

I was rewatching some old videos and this one just makes me smile. To me, rainworld is primarily a multiplayer game.

I think gaster liked video games but not the way you think. i think he found a broken Atari at the garbage dump the same year it came out and "fixed it", making it capable of displaying 3d graphics

I think when he started getting frustrated with a project he went and played 'way before its time' 3D pong to clear his head and go back to work with a fresh perspective, but hes such a cringefail gamer he played for hours with a highscore of 6 seconds never returning to the project

I think after a few years he wanted to be able to take his super Atari with him where he went and play games on the go, so he made himself a little device, small enough to fit in a pocket, that could read game cartridges like his console and display them on a little screen, and he called this genius device, "pocket monster". (by this point the surface already has playstation 3)

I think that he gave it to sans as a birthday gift

I think he likes that we like (his) video games
