Summary: Going to the club and getting drunk without your overprotective boyfriend is never a good idea

A/N: posting bc of max's win in china

Max had always been protective of you. Since as long as you can remember Max had acted like your protector, stopping you from doing risky things and helping you when you did them anyway and hurt yourself.

You were childhood best friends, having known each other since you were five and he was six, brought together by a love of karting. As time passed and the two of you grew up, your relationship stayed strong, but changed. Feelings grew between the two of you, though it took until you were 21 before you two did anything about it.

So you were used to Max’s slightly overprotective tendencies. It was second nature to you, as familiar to you as breathing. However, that didn’t mean it didn’t get on your nerves from time to time, like tonight for instance. You were supposed to be going out with your girlfriends to a newly opened club, but Max was having some trouble letting you go.

He raised his eyebrows when he saw you enter the living room from his seat on the couch, eyes roaming your body. You were wearing a cliche club outfit; short black dress, heels, and bangles on your arm. You could see the appreciativeness in Max’s gaze, but also concern.

“You look nice,” he said, putting his phone down.

You smiled and gave a little spin. “Thank you. It’s the dress I got on Tuesday.”

Max stayed silent for a moment, considering what to say. “You look very beautiful, Schatz, don’t get me wrong…. But is that what you’re wearing out?”

“Is there something wrong with it?”

Max hesitated again. “It’s just… it’s not very restaurant friendly.”

You made an ‘o’ shape with your mouth. You had wondered briefly why Max had been so calm about you going clubbing, but you’d brushed it off thinking he just didn’t mind it. Now you knew it was because he didn’t actually know.

“Well, Max, that’s because we’re going clubbing, not to a restaurant,” you say slowly, waiting with baited breath for his reaction.

Max blinked, surprised. “You’re what?”

“We’re going clubbing….”

Max opened his mouth then closed it, clearing his throat. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

You shrugged. “I thought you knew.”

Max raised an eyebrow. “You thought I knew you were going clubbing? Even though I didn’t say anything about it? Or warn you about drinking too much?”

You grimaced. “I know how it sounds but I genuinely didn’t realise you didn’t know.”

Max sighed. “I know, I trust you. I just don’t know if going clubbing is a good idea.”

“But it’s already been decided. And I got dressed up.”

You pouted slightly and Max rolled his eyes. “Don’t give me that look, you know I’m just worried about you.”

“I know, but I’ll be fine. Me and the girls have sorted everything out.”

Max started. “You mean it’s just going to be you girls alone? What about Izzy’s boyfriend Liam? Or Kate’s boyfriend? They’re not going?”

“It’s a girls night,” you reminded him. “No boys allowed.”

“Schatz….” Max warned. “I don’t feel comfortable letting you go to the club alone.”

“I’m not going to be alone-”

“You’ll be with a group of girls, all of you vulnerable and easy to prey on,” Max said sternly. “I’m not trying to be mean, but without a man around you there are certain people who will take that as an opportunity to try and hurt you.”

You sighed. “I know Max, but we’re fine. We know one of the bartenders and he’s promised to keep an eye out for us, plus Liam will be driving us home so we have a ride. Seriously, you don’t need to worry.”

Max frowned, looking at your face for any trace of doubt. “I always worry about you.”

“I know, but I’ll be fine. I promise.”

Max continued thinking before eventually conceding, walking up to you and wrapping you into a tight hug. “Be safe,” he murmured into your ear.

You returned the embrace. “I always am.”

You pulled back, still in Max’s arms, and he tugged down your dress with a slight scowl. “Too short.”

You rolled your eyes and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Goodbye Max.”

“Don’t drink too much,” Max said, “and text me when you’re coming home.”

You nodded your head and hugged him goodbye once more before leaving the apartment and your boyfriend. You knew he was worried, knew he’d probably be worried for the rest of the night and wait up for you, which made you feel guilty. He hadn’t prepared for you to go out clubbing, completely different from a tame meal at some restaurant, and you knew he’d be agonising over it for the rest of the night.

All you could do was answer his texts and make sure he knew you were safe. 

Except things didn’t go to plan.

You arrived at the club and everything was fine. You looked around, taking pictures of the new place, and greeted your bartender friend. You ordered some drinks and stayed by the bar for a bit, talking and catching up, before one of your wilder friends, Lily, suggested shots and then dancing. You weren’t much of a shot person, mostly because you were a lightweight, and you hadn’t planned on getting too drunk tonight but everyone was egging you on, and you didn’t want to be left out so you agreed, the four of you slamming down tequila shots like you did in college.

Then it was off to the dance floor, you, Lily, Kate and Izzy forming your own circle, dancing and laughing with one another. And you were having fun. You were feeling happy, giddy, and the only thing that would make this night better would be to have Max by your side.

You stepped out of the dance circle, moving back to the bar as you took out your phone. Noticing the multiple texts from Max left unanswered you felt a pang of guilt, but it was distant compared to the excitement you felt.

If you were sober, you probably would have picked up on the annoyed/concerned tone Max’s text had, but you were not sober, so you texted him a ‘yaaaaayyyyy’ and turned your phone off, waiting for what you thought was going to be your party ready boyfriend.

Instead, after you’d had another shot with your friends and continued dancing, you found yourself face to face with your concerned and worried boyfriend.

“Maxie!” you slurred, throwing your arms around your boyfriend in a hug. “Come dance with me!”

Max chucked, trying not to show his concern, but his tight hold on your waist gave him away. You pulled back and looked at him. “You are going to dance with me, right?”

Max sighed, manoeuvring you so you were off the dance floor. You were almost too drunk to notice, just clinging onto your boyfriend. “I’m here to take you home.”

“But I don't want to go home. I’m happy here,” you whined like a child.

Max muttered under his breath, “did I or did I not tell you not to drink too much.”

You frowned at his bad attitude. “I just want to dance.”

He shot you a look. “You can dance at home where you're safe, not in a club full of strangers while drunk out of your mind.”

You pouted but your boyfriend had already made his decision, half dragging half carrying you to where he parked his car. You knew better than to fight Max when he was like this, even drunk, so you sat in the passenger seat with your arms crossed, glaring at the road ahead of you while silently cursing Max and his stupid overprotectiveness. 

Max glanced at you as he drove. “I can tell you’re upset with me.”

“I was having fun,” you complained, “and you took me away from it.”

Max sighed. “I’m sorry Schatz, I am, but I wasn’t comfortable letting you stay in a club full of strangers drunk without me.”

You pouted again. “So why didn’t you just stay at the club with me?”

Max laughed a bit. “Because I only enjoy clubs when I’m drunk, and the whole purpose of me being there would be watching you while you’re drunk, not the other way round.”

It made sense even to your drunk brain- sort of -so you dropped the subject, letting Max off the hook. Maybe you’d argue with him in the morning when you were sober and had a better grasp on reality, but as Max parked in your driveway and helped you out of the car, all you wanted to do was curl up with your boyfriend and go to sleep, which is exactly what you did.

Max helped you undress and got as much makeup off your face as he was able to with his limited skill set and then got you into bed, laying down beside you. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you to his chest where you sighed into it, content.

“I love you,” he murmured into your hair.

Even drunk and half asleep, you still managed to reply, “I love you too.

Dain. he considers himself easygoing compared to his father, but he’s still just a teeny bit uptight. so he’s staying in the strict category until we get more character development out of him. but he’s much kinder to his kids than his father was to him (I know we don’t know much about their relationship but I headcanon Aetos Sr. being a total wad, personally.)

Aaric seems to hold himself to a higher standard than the rest of his family (see his “tour of the kingdom” comment) and he’s iron squad’s new golden boy. he seems very disciplined to me. I can see that turning into him having high standards for his kids. especially if (when) he ends up ruling Navarre and they’re to be his successors. he’s a loving father, but he’s not raising spoiled brats.

easygoing:

Garrick seems very much the fantasy equivalent of “come home when the street lights come on” once the kids are older. lets them start training with swords once they’re ten or so. his kids can handle themselves, because he’s taught them to. he will still throw hands with anyone who harms them though. all of the boys would.

Ridoc owns this category. you know the meme of Chris Hemsworth holding his kid upside down by the ankle? that’s Ridoc. he always makes time to play with them when they’re little, because he’s a very fun-loving guy. they don’t have any problems opening up to him in their teens, because they know he’s going to be chill about whatever issues they have, and help them get through it one way or another.

I thought for a while about where to put Sawyer. but if we use my farm boy Sy headcanon, then he’d be pretty easygoing. country kids get up to all kinds of crazy stuff and they turn out fine — he did. I also see him having kids later in life than some of the others — he’d be more relaxed by then. especially since the continent is back at peace. (insert Anakin and Padmé meme here… the continent is at peace, right?)

overprotective:

Brennan. he’s got that parentified-eldest-daughter complex, and grew up taking care of Violet. so he’s definitely one to err on the side of caution. and he’s mending every single cut and scrape and skinned knee. you don’t need any bandaids in the house with him around.

I wanted to put Xaden in the easygoing category because he’s absolutely spoiling his kids, but we’ve all seen him with Violet — him with a kid that’s half her would be even worse, lmao. if he’s not watching them, then one of the family dragons is. he’s not afraid to square up on a kid either. not that his kids would ever be bullied — he’s taught them how to stand up for themselves. they’re little badasses.

Liam. I was torn between putting him in the easygoing category or here, because he’s a very positive, chill guy. but he’s half golden retriever, half guard dog. and there’s nothing more precious to guard than his family.

Bodhi is just such a sweetheart and is so genuinely worried about them at all times. especially when they’re tiny babies. he’d be scared to hold them at first, because what if he does it wrong… when they’re teens, they roll their eyes at his questions (who they’re gonna be with if they’re heading out, etc etc) but they know it’s because he cares — and if shit hits the fan, he’s gonna be their first phone call (metaphorically.)

none of these boys are raising hands to their kids. I won’t even consider it.

But, that was a scene I was almost painfully familiar with as well.

As long as the thing called Curses exist in this world, though, this “norm” will eventually break.

After all, those who bear a Curse are absolutely unable to escape their “tragic fate.”

But, if by any chance, I found a way we could escape from these fates.

If that happened——if their smiles don’t have to be stolen by their destined fates,

“Just how long do you plan on continuing this?” Al’s question popped into my mind again.

Roger: Al, I’ve got an answer to that question you asked.

Alfons: .........

Roger: Until the day I see my ambition realized.

Seeing Al shrug his shoulders, I couldn’t help but think he hadn’t changed at all since he was a kid, and I ended up laughing at the thought.

Roger: Jeez, all you troublemakers line up in a single file now. I’ll examine you all.

Kate: I’ll help, Roger!

Roger: ......... [surprised]

R: Thanks, that’ll be a big help, Kate.

R: There are some bandages on that shelf over there—

Within the Cursed ones, there was a unique presence named Kate.

For just a moment, I thought that she might hold the power to break the Curses we bore.

And I couldn’t help but wonder, why did I think something like that?

But whether such was the case would reveal itself in these fleeting moments that would pass us by from here on out.

I think Roger has always struck me as a sort of older brother type with an interesting sense of humor, and it’s really charming to be able to see that in action with so many of the other cast.

he may be a bit egotistical, but i really can feel that he has a soft spot for the other crown members, and treats them with respect — it was especially evident to me when he vowed to not touch elbie without explicit permission first when he knew he was adverse to doctors, and when he told jude to do what he wanted when he realized smoking was involved in his drive to live.

i hope this gives you a taste of roger — and others — when you go into his route!

Sherliam’s New York days - Problem

You thought it was “dirty NY sherliam” but it was I, the “domestic NY sherliam”.

Alright, this is my type of humor, sorry :D.

Since Liam was left with only one eye, he surely has to take care of both his healthy and blind one. We saw Sherlock to be overprotective of Liam in the NY chapters so I bet if Liam had his eyes red or something Sherly would storm doctors for medicines. Since I have problem with applying eye drops myself, my eyes just close automatically once someone gets bottle of eye drops or anything near. It’s even worse if one eye gets drops in, there is like no way to open the other one then and my struggles gave me this silly idea.

If any kind of Victorian times eye drops exist then they would be in some kind of glass bottle with pointed end so liquid falls slower, right?

At least Sherlock is looking more Sherlock-ish this time (I think I started to figure out how to draw his hair and drawing on computer allows me retry while with my traditional pencil previous Sherliam comic it was harder...I love this new tablet, I would probably drawing on it for hours if I had more free time, I finally found amazing combo that lets me draw with my shaking hands problem, but even that got better now I’m not so physically overworked after job change)

"Nik, look what I got us!!!", Alex excitedly squeaked, running towards her boyfriend, Nik Ryder who was seated in the livingroom with a cup of black coffee.

"What is it, rook?", he asked before taking another sip.

"May I present you Funko Pop Nik Ryder and Funko Pop Alex?", she proudly held two tiny figures of plastic in her hands and showed them to him.

"Oh, is that us? In Funko Pop version? You are so cute, Alex.", he chuckled as he took a closer look at the little creations.

"That's right, Nik I created them online and had to order. Now they're finally here with us. So cute!! I love them."

Nik smiled at his girlfriend's excitement and took one of them in his hands, looking at Alex's mini version with a loving gaze.

"Damn, they look great. Thank you, darling.", he planted a quick kiss on her cheek to appreciate her.

"Nik, I find your Nik Funko Pop kinda cute."

After she mentioned, Nik picked up his own Funko Pop in his hand and pondered it from head to toe.

Later, Alex was alone in the apartment getting bored without Nik, so she decided to play with the Funko Pops. About an hour or two had passed since Nik had gone on a mission. Alex lonely with Funko Pop Alex and Funko Pop Nik which were now placed on the counter in the living room. As she looked at them she let her mind wander, thinking nostalgically of her relationship with Nik. Of the highs and lows they had together. Smiling, she picked up her Funko Pop and the one of Nik, making the two miniatures kiss. She giggled slightly then made Nik's Funko Pop hug the Funko Pop of herself and give her a long kiss on the lips.

Then, she glanced at her own Funko Pop and made it kiss Nik's Funko Pop several times in quick succession on the mouth and on the cheek making a series of little "pecks".

"I'm crazy, I know. This happens when I'm alone", she giggled at this, finding it hilarious.

Taking a deep breath, laughing, and putting both Funko Pops on the countertop, she sat on the uncomfortable, white leather couch, starting to reminisce about her love story with Nik. Despite it not being completely perfect, she had to admit that she loved him and never wanted to be without him, so much so that she wondered.

"What if we have kids? What if we get married one day? Would he...? ", Alex sighed as the answer to that question could be a bitter one. If only she could know what was happening in his mind.

Taking the Funko Pops again, she started to play different scenarios. Using her imagination and skills to recreate scenes like the couple having a romantic dinner, going on a trip, or watching a movie together, and also more funny scenes like Nik pretending to be hurt just to get a hug or a kiss.

She laughed amused as she saw her imagination become reality through the miniatures of the couple, but as she continued to watch she also felt a bit of nostalgia for maybe not being able to actually experience these scenarios with Nik.

Now, Alex picked up the two Funko Pops and imagined a wedding proposal. The Funko Pops representing her and Nik was in a romantic location, under a starry night with a moon full of candlelight illuminating the scene. The Alex Funko Pop was smiling lovingly at the Nik Funko Pop who held her hands and was knelt on one knee, presenting a shiny gem-encrusted ring.

"Alex, will you marry me?", she spoke as Funko Pop Nik in a lower, manly tone.

The Alex Funko Pop smiled and tears of happiness welled up in her eyes as she answered, also in Alex's voice, but this time in her sweet, normal tone.

"Yes, Nik. Yes, I will marry you, with all my heart.", Alex answered making the Funko Pops kiss each other.

Funko Pop Nik picked up Funko Pop Alex in his strong arms, holding her close in a tender embrace and kissing her passionately. The lovely Funko Pop couple held each other tightly in their arms as if nothing bad could ever happen to them.

"Awww, such a cute story. Now which scenario should I play next? Hmmmmm... Oh, I'll play how I, Alex saves Nik."

Alex smiled at her own idea, picked up the Funko Pops and placed them in a fighting scenario. Nik's Funko Pop was wounded and kneeling, while Alex's Funko Pop was standing protectively in front of her partner to defend him from an invisible opponent. The Funko Pop of Alex was looking back at the wounded Funko Pop Nik, giving him a determined and protective look. "I'll protect you, Nik."

The Nik Funko Pop looked at her with a pained expression but love in his eyes and weakly whispered. "Thank you, babe"

"What are you doing, Alex??!!!", Nik's voice interrupted her.

"Funko Pop Nik, you can talk??!!!!", she panicked and immediately moved her hands away from her toys. Anything magical and supernatural could happen in the World of Night, even Funko Pops getting alive... Right?

"Turn around, rook."

She did as the voice commanded, and turned around. Her gaze wandered toward the entrance. A bit startled, she saw Nik, her boyfriend standing there. His expression a mix of surprise and concern on his face.

"Nik, you're back?!!"

"What the hell are you doing here alone in the dark living room at midnight?"

"Nik, you're back. I... I can explain. I couldn't sleep without you and..."

Nik's expression softened, his gaze filled with understanding and affection. He approached her girlfriend and cupped her face gently, caressing her cheek tenderly.

"Oh, my rook. I'm sorry if my absence caused such concern for you. I was just doing my job like always. I swear everything's okay."

He leaned in to give her a tender kiss on the lips, wanting to reassure her.

"Thanks, Nik. Glad to see you safe and don't worry, but our Funko Pops kept me entertained. Right now I'm playing a wedding scene."

Nik burst into laughter at this revelation, his eyes widening in amusement and surprise.

"Oh really? You and our Funko Pops have been planning a wedding?"

"And later they'll have children.", she innocently confessed.

Nik grinned, clearly amused by the whole thing, and chuckled.

"Oh my goodness, so we'll also have Funko Pop children now? Are we gonna build another shelf just for their family?", he couldn't stop laughing, shaking his head slightly in amusement.

"Who knows, Nik."

"Well, our miniature selves seem very proactive. If they're already planning a wedding and contemplating children, I don't know where they'll stop. Maybe soon they'll be requesting a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence.", he joked which made her giggle even more.

Smiling, he gently wrapped his arms around her waist as he leaned closer.

"You know, while our Funko Pops are busy planning their future, how about we focus on the present? Spend some quality time together, just you and I?", Nik whispered into her ear, his tone filled with warmth and affection.

"Nik, you know what? Let's go to sleep and spend some quality time tomorrow. Sorry, but I feel a bit tired.", she confessed and nodded in agreement. He gently squeezed her hand and pulled her into a loving and comforting embrace.

"Of course, my beloved. Let's hit the bed and rest. I can imagine that a day spent arranging weddings and thinking about children can be very exhausting.", he chuckled as he gently kissed her forehead. His voice was soft and filled with a hint of playful amusement before heading towards the bedroom together.

"Good night, Funko Pop Alex and Nik.", she wished their two little figures.

Nik laughed softly at the mention of their Funko Pop counterparts.

"Good night to them too, darling. I have a feeling they'll have more adventures in their little world while we rest."

Chapter 2 The Human Village

Dyani and Aurora have been walking for a few days it was almost sunset when they arrive at a village next to a lake connected to a river Dyani reads the map " This should be the Human Village we can rest here before we get to the mountain behind it" Aroura sighs "Humans..." if there was one thing that both Winter and Summer Fawns could agree on is to be wary of humans so much that on the rare occasions they would team up agents them.

Aurora hides in her hoodie and Dyani hides in his hair and they walk in carefully people are out and about doing their daily stuff.

They walk then suddenly a blue-haired girl wearing a white and red jumpsuit falls landing on Aurora dropping her hoodie.

"ow!" Aurora yelps.

The girl rubs her head and looks at her " Oh I'm sorry!" she scoots off of her "You ok?" Aurora stands up and quickly hides in her hoodie again "Yeah..." " I'm Slor" " I'm Dyani and that's Aurora" he replies

Once Slor gets a good look at them she is confused "What are you?" she goes to stand up but then falls as she feels pain in her leg " Are you ok?" Dyani asks concerned and trying to change the subject.

" what were you even doing?"

Slor nods " Yes I'm fine I'm good at falling. I was practicing a stunt I wanted to do." She stands up but her leg hurts and she has to sit back down “Ow…”

"I thought you said you were good at falling."

"I am! Just not the landing part…"

"do you need help getting to a medical area?"

“ No I’m fine I can get there myself” She tries to walk but falls.

"yeah, we’re helping you."

They take Slor over to a medical building and a green-haired boy and a purple-haired girl come out.

They both sigh.

Slor looks nervous " H-Hey, Liam Mythias..."

Liam huffs " Again..." and takes her inside as she has a nervous smile.

Mythias looks at the kids “Thank you for taking her here who knows how long it would take her to come anyways” “This is normal?” Dyani asks.

“ Yeah, she’s a stubborn one who wants to do one thing and won’t take no for an answer.”

“We are looking for a place to stay for the night.”

“ Hm oh, there’s an inn not too far from here let me take you there.”

Mythias leads them to the inn and helps them get a room.

They thank her and go into a room.

It was a small room with two beds and a window showing the night sky.

Aurora flops on a bed face first and Dyani just sits on the other one “ I’ve never been this far from home before” Aurora moves her head to look at him “Honestly me either.. I’m not used to all this heat” she lays on her back and holds the crystal necklace “ what is that for” “ it’s a cold absorbing crystal every Winter Fawn get one the moment they are born basically they make it so we can live in the cold..” her thoughts wander off to something else and she gets sad but shakes it off.

"Knowing my mom she's probably going to send some guards to come find me.." Dyani noted. Aurora sighs " Don't get me wrong I love my mom but she can be really overprotective I don't really blame her tho my dad was killed by Winter Fawn before I was born..." " Oh...I'm sorry."

" Don't be it wasn't you who did it.."

The next day they wake up to Slor climbing in through the window.

" What th!-" "Hey time to get up! we've got shopping to do!" Dyani is groggy and confused. “ You helped me now I want to help you!” Slor drags them out of bed.

“ Hey, we don’t need help.” “ Do you have money to pay for anything?” Both Fawns go quiet.

“ Exactly I’m helping you.” she helps them pay for their room then takes them to a cafe.

“ Ian some of your famous breakfast please!”

They see a tan person at the corner with green hair and green eyes “Coming right up Slor” They sit at a table after a few minutes Ian comes out with three plates that have a combination of pancakes and waffles on them.

“ These are Ian’s famous Panfles they are the best thing ever!” Slor says excitedly already eating hers.

Aurora is hesitant but after seeing Dyani bite into his and makes an in awe face and eats the rest she decides to try it.

She ate a bite.

And it’s amazing.

It’s a warm, buttery sweetness with a crispiness, blending the best of both pancakes and waffles. The batter is rich, fluffier, and hints of vanilla. The crispy edges create a crunchy exterior, while the tender, fluffy inside melts into a soft, buttery middle.

Once they eat it all Slor pays for the food and they go to the market. They look at supplies and food.

While looking at the fruit stands they come across a pale brown-haired man and a kid in a wolf hoodie that looks way too big for her

" What do demons eat...?" The man mumbles.

"Hi, Lucas!" Slor waves at him

Lucas jumps and hides the child behind him " H-Hi Slor! Sorry I didn't see you there"

" It's fine anyway who's that behind you?"

" Oh..um...she's my friend's kid I'm just...babysitting for them for a while..."

They chat while the child pecks out looks at Dyani and Aurora and goes over to them.

She looks at them amazed "Your Fawn." she smiles.

" Um... no."

"Yeah, you are I can tell because of your noses."

"Well keep it down..." Dyani hushes her.

"You worried about the humans? I am too but this one is nice." She quickly shows them her tail and horns but one is broken before hiding again. " I'm Balor."

"Oh I've heard of your kind demon right?"

Balor nods as Aurora is getting confused.

Lucas quickly goes to Balor and leaves with her waving to the kids.

While finishing shopping a child with blue hair and a horn on her head in overalls comes up to them Slor gets really nervous.

" umm, can we help you??"

"I want that!" she points to the star clip that's on Aurora's head.

"No, it's mine!" Aurora snapped.

"W-we should go..." Slor urges.

"I want it!" she stomps her foot.

Aurora is getting annoyed fast " No!"

"No means no kid sorry." Dyani chims in.

Not satisfied with that answer she starts staring at them her swirl eyes start to spin creating a hypnotic feeling.

Dyani’s eyes turn into hers and he falls into a trance but Aurora doesn’t and is confused as unknown to her the star is glowing protecting her Slor is looking away terrified.

Angry that Aurora isn’t affected she orders Dyani to grab the star

" Yes, Dina," Dyani answered robotically. He reaches for the star " Dyani what are you doing!" yells Aurora trying to fend him off and they get exposed in front of everyone Aurora ends up poking Dyani in the eye and that gets him out of the trance.

"Ow! ...Wha..?"

" W-What are those!"

"Don't get close! They could be dangerous!"

" Hey, freaks get out of here!"

The people are starting to get scared and want them out of the village.

Dina giggles and runs off.

Aurora is mad and tries to go after her but the townspeople surround them.

Dyani gets scared and hides behind Aurora.

The people keep getting closer.

Then suddenly Slor grabs the two and runs off with them.

They run out of the village and hide.

“That was a close one…” Dyani pants “Why did you help us you are a human too..” Aurora questions Slor.

“ Simple you helped me now I want to help you too and go with you.”

“ We need to get to the top of that mountain.”

“ Why?”

Aurora sighed “ We’ll explain on the way.”

Slor nods as they get going.

Okay, let's try to get into this, The Legend of Vox Machina spoilers obviously

First of all, I only now noticed that in the intro Vax is the only one not waking up when the strings of fate(?) Pass the group by foreshadowing!!

I love that they start with the few last minutes of the first season, they're important but also the perspective changed and so good

They don't forget Gilmore this time! More Vax and Gilmore content and I love it so much

Vax already seeing the Raven Queen, already weaving that in, my poor boy is getting tormented but I love that they do that

All the dragons are so unique and so terrifying and the voice acting is so good holy shit barely recognised Liam as Vorugal, they're all so terrifying

The destruction of Emon is so beautiful and they show so easily just how in over their head they are

Finding Gilmore in his shop, poor scanlan not being able to get some gadgets except for Vex' future broom, Vax hovering over Gilmore

I can be wrong but I think they haven't resurrected anyone yet, it's always been that they are (barely still alive) is Vex gonna be the first one??? That will make it so much more devastating

Oh boy Whitestone starting to thrive again and them convincing Scanlan like that to not run away, pushing him to stay. They're setting Scanlan leaving up so well and we're all gonna be devastated and I feel so bad for Scanlan

The twins having ties to the Slayers take, I was wondering how they'd do that without having to put too much time in it but the twins screwing them over and Vex and Zahra not getting along and I am so happy for it

Osysa is destroying them and that is so traumatising for them. Scanlan hearing/getting confirmed that noone cares about him? His deepest fear? The twins being separated? Osysa just gets in their and rips their heart and traumas out huh?

Okay but Grog not going to the take cause he just gets distracted and finding earthbreaker Groon and getting taught a lesson from him? Amazing wonderful, Osysa would have no effect on Grog anyway but Groon knows how to handle him

Kash and Zahra following them!!!! Grog gets his beard and a part shaved off already and they all put that in there

Vex not being allowed on the ice but Scanlan is and then being in danger and noone of VM saving him, he's going through it

Oh I forgot but apparently there is a Caduceaus cameo in Vasselheim? I didn't see it but the screenshot are cool

And also RQ in vasselheim and Vax seeing her, he's being tormented

And Percy is clearly getting more comfortable with the group and wanting to be helpful and man they're setting his guilt up very well too (also I am waiting till Vax calls him Freddy)

Really showing how codependent the twins are and how much Vax needs Vex, that is shown so well and Vax getting more and more overprotective

I for sure missed a lot but there is so much there and I have only watched them one time yet but the title credits as well and they're setting everything up so well like Percy opening up and ready to be helpful but then he kills Vex and Vax warning everyone to be careful so clearly setting his anger up as well, Scanlan is so obviously feeling left out and Pike is clearly concerned for Grog who is oblivious to it all and the warnings that his sword is evil. Keyleth still so insecure and not knowing what to do but also another home taken from her. Vex and the approval she needs from her father and how much she cares for Vax as well but also might find him a little overbearing sometimes but still wanting to listen to him and clearly stuck between those

I just love this show so much and cannot wait till the next episodes

Also let me know if I missed moments there was so much and I need to rewatch them like a hundred times

But why am I kinda hoping that Carina shows up to help in triage without Maya knowing? Maya’s just helping bring injured Theo or another firefighter in and the badaboom, she sees her and gets a little mad. Not like raised voice mad but like are you joking, you’re pregnant I need to speak to you over in the corner mad.

I honestly wouldn't mind that either! With Zaiver saying they go on a journey in the episode, it would make sense and I could see Carina not even wanting to tell Maya she's involved considering how overprotective she was just at the clinic so obviously she knows how Maya would react if she knew she was going to be involved helping people at such a dangerous call.

Ideally I hope the wildfire episode(s) for Marina go something like they first get a positive pregnancy result and we get to see that and their reaction (please not in just montage form for once), then with this scene:

It goes something like you said...maybe they don't even discuss it ahead of time (I'm curious what Maya and Andy discuss at the station before the wildfire starts and if it has something to do with Carina/the pregnancy or not?) and Carina just shows up and Maya freaks out and Carina says her job is to help people just like Maya's job is to save people and they fight over it because they're both stubborn.

I'm starting to think we may be clowning on Maya getting injured because it seems like she's going to be taking charge with Andy for most of it so how much is she really going to be involved in the fire of it all? Maybe she will be since we know Andy gets some burns on her at the very least and it just makes sense that this is the last piece of the puzzle...Maya's fear of dying on the job now and having to experience that and Carina also experiencing that while they're about to adopt Liam and have another baby on the way. So it almost feels like a given that it has to go in that direction and hopefully we get Carina having to help take care of her wife, maybe some CPR, a heartfelt scene of them both freaking out because of it and hopefully an I love you and Carina saying she can't lose Maya too.

But I also don't want to hope for too much because we've been let down a lot this season already. Even if we just get some of this it would be nice but this feels like a plot line that could make up for a lot of the stuff that was brushed over so I hope we do get these moments. I could also see it being a reason they have Maya walk away from firefighting unfortunately after having a near death experience like others have predicted so if that's the case, you'd think they'd have to really emphasize it and have Marina go through all the emotions so...we'll see what happens. Here's to us actually having some quality content and it not just being all about Theo. 🙏🏻🤞🏻
