singledad!Sukuna x neighbor!reader-Sukuna and Yuuji really want you to join their family! role reversal from my other series, think this will just be a one-shot though. Yuuji is Sukuna's brother but he's raised him since he was a baby and Yuuji calls him dad.
cw: Sukuna is manipulative and also a murderer but everyone's happy and you're both aware so it's okay. this is really just fluff.
"I....want you to be my mommy?"
Sukuna scowled as Yuuji looked more confused than ever.
"No, no that is not what you're saying kid. You're just going to tell her about how the other kids' mommies on the playground make you feel left out."
"But they don't, Megumi's mommy always gives me a snack when I'm hungry!"
"That's not his mommy, that's Megumi's daddy," Sukuna corrected, wondering if this was just a hopeless endeavor. He could have easily followed a plan this simple when he was four, but Yuuji was too soft. This was what happened when you raised a kid in a stable, loving environment. They lost the ability to go for the jugular when needed.
"But Megumi's daddy calls him mommy?" Sukuna didn't hold back his groan. You were going to be coming back from your morning walk any minute. He didn't have time for Yuuji to not get basic directions or to explain the dynamics of that Gojo family.
"Look when we go out there, just look sad and I'll handle the rest."
"But I'm not sad, I'm happy. We're going to the park and Megumi's mommy is bringing mochi today!"
"Shit kid, do you want a mom or not?" Sukuna asked, trying not to roll his eyes as be bent down to snap on the velcro straps on Yuuji's light up sneakers.
"I don't need a mom, I have you," Yuuji said. He looked uncharacteristically defiant and Sukuna couldn't help feeling proud of his little brother.
It had been touch and go when Yuuji was a baby. Sukuna had still been a kid himself and they didn't have any money and Yuuji's mom was even crazier than Sukuna's. Their father nowhere to be seen. Since Sukuna and Uraume had spread the pieces of his corpse around the city.
Sukuna pushed these memories aside and ruffled Yuuji's hair. "I know you don't need one, we only need each other." Yuuji nodded, his little head moving with all his conviction. "But it might be nice, right?"
Yuuji seemed thoughtful before finally biting his lip and looking down at his sneakers. He tapped them, making the red and black lights flash.
"She's really nice, I like her."
"I like her too," Sukuna said and he heard the sound of your sneakers slapping against the tiled hallway. "So let's go and look sad, okay?" Yuuji nodded, determined now and Sukuna grabbed his backpack before the two brothers went out into the hall.
You were just taking your keys out of your bag and you turned to the brothers, a smile on your face. "Good morning gentlemen, it's nice to see you. Heading out?"
That was when you noticed Yuuji's downturned expression. Sukuna saw your face shift into one of concern and he resisted a smirk.
Sukuna cleared his throat and squeezed Yuuji's hand. Good boy. "We're heading out to the park, you know the one by the high school."
"Oooh, that's nice. You like that park, right Yuuji? You said it was the biggest one in the whole city," you crouched down so you could look Yuuji in the eye and Yuuji seemed to forget he was supposed to be sad for a minute because he jumped up and down, the lights of his shoes flashing in the dim hallway.
"Yeah, it has the best swings too!" You ooohed and aawed appropriately while Sukuna tried not to smack his head against the wall. Maybe he and this kid weren't related after all, fuck.
Yuuji seemed to notice his expression because he stopped jumping to look down at feet. He put out his lower lip and used the tip of one of shoes to mess with a scuff mark on the linoleum. It would have made a more pathetic visage if his shoes weren't still lit up.
"Yuuji," you said, coming closer so you could kneel on the ground in front of the boy. The sight of you on your knees did something to Sukuna, but he pushed it aside to see what the brat had in mind. So far, he wasn't impressed with the performance. "Is something wrong?"
"It's just," Yuuji let out a sad sigh that wouldn't get him a gig in a car commercial. "Megumi and his mommy will be there and it makes me feel sad because all the other kids have mommies and I don't." God, there was no way you could be buying this, Sukuna looked at you and saw that your eyes looked a little watery.
Huh, look at that. Maybe he wouldn't have to kick the kid out, after all.
"I'm sorry Yuuji, that must be hard," you said and you reached out and swiped out where Yuuji had even managed to shed a tear. Sukuna felt so proud. "But I know that your dad is really excited to take you and the two of you are going to have so much fun!"
"Could you come too?" Yuuji asked and you bit your lip. Yuuji looked up and batted his little doe eyes at you. "It would make me really happy if you came with us. We could all have fun together."
"I wouldn't want to intrude-"
"It wouldn't be intruding," Sukuna cut in. "If you're busy though no worries, I know we'll have fun just the two of us. Right, Yuuji?"
Yuuji bit his lip and Sukuna could tell he was torn between showing how excited he was to spend time with his dad and being 'sad' so you would join them.
You looked between the two before seeming to come to some kind of decision. "If you don't mind waiting while I change, I'd be happy to join you two. Should I bring anything?"
"I think we're all set. We'll wait outside for you," Sukuna said and Yuuji went up and gave you a big hug that you returned.
Sukuna took Yuuji outside to wait for you, the kid occupying himself with a mostly washed away hopscotch chalk sketch. Sukuna alternated between watching him and texting Uraume who was claiming to be over him and his nonsense. Sukuna would take it more seriously if Uraume hadn't been saying that for going on twenty years. He knew they loved him, fucking sap.
Soon, but not soon enough, you came bounding down the stairs. A scarf tied around your neck, your turtleneck exposed by the open top button of your coat. He couldn't keep letting you be single, looking all pretty like that. He was too greedy for that.
Besides, looking the way you did and knowing your big heart, it was just a matter of time before some nice loser tricked you into settling with them and he just couldn't have that. The idea of you taking someone else home to your warm apartment with it's million throw blankets and a cookie jar, an actual cookie jar, he was convinced you kept stocked up just for Yuuji, made him want to commit another murder.
"Ready?" you asked and Sukuna nodded while Yuuji took your hand in his right and Sukuna's in his left.
"Let's go!"
Yuuji's enthusiasm was contagious and the two of you chatted all the way to the park. Sukuna saw some people shoot you all looks as you walked. Sukuna was used to people viewing him with suspicion, even fear. His tattoos, dyed hair and general demeanor making people cross the street to avoid him. Something about you and Yuuji seemed to balance him out though and people reacted as if they were just looking at a cute family going out on a Saturday.
You didn't seem to notice either way and just continued talking to Yuuji about some new anime for kids Sukuna had probably had to suffer through but hadn't retained any memory of.
As soon as you all got to the park, Yuuji took off with barely a good-bye. You seemed concerned and Sukuna bumped your shoulder with his. "Don't stress, he just sees the Fushiguro kid over there. See, they're already fucking around."
He pointed to where Yuuji was chasing around a scowling dark haired boy the same age as him. Sukuna didn't buy the scowl for a second.
He had once run into the kid and his weird dads at the grocery store and the kid had scolded him when he figured out Yuuji wasn't with him. Sukuna would have knocked the kid down a peg if he wasn't actually four years old and if his 'mommy' didn't low key give him the creeps. Sukuna was pretty sure he wasn't the only person guilty of homicide currently at this playground.
"That's so cute," you cooed and Sukuna nodded along while he took you over to some picnic tables. Unfortunately one of them was already occupied.
"Aww if it isn't Sukuna. How nice it is to see your lovely face on a Saturday morning!"
"Gojo."
Sukuna was ready to leave it there but then the bastard got up and walked over. His partner continued sipping on a large cup of boba, watching from his seat although he gave you a little wave.
"Who is this, new girlfriend?" Gojo asked tilting down his sunglasses to look you up and down.
You laughed and introduced yourself while Megumi's parents did the same. Gojo grabbed your hand when you held it out and kissed the back of it, his lips curved into a smile even as he lingered, his fingers clearly holding onto where your pulse would be. Sukuna moved closer to you and put a hand around your waist, the gesture a clear sign for the other man to back off which Sukuna knew Gojo understood because the bitch fucking smiled at him.
Sukuna didn't necessarily take any of Gojo's flirtations seriously. He flirted with every mom and dad on the playground, including him when they first met. He'd even seen him flirt with the guy who worked the ice cream truck so egregiously the kid had looked on the verge of passing out. His partner never seemed bothered and Sukuna wondered if he was just that secure in the relationship or if he hoped someone would finally come along and get the annoying man away from him.
As usual though, Gojo lost interest quickly and went back to his husband who didn't say anything as Gojo lay across his lap like some kind of housecat.
"There are children here," Sukuna said. Mostly out of spite and not jealousy that the two of you weren't curled up like that.
"Don't be homophobic," Gojo said and you snorted before looking innocent when Sukuna shot you a look.
"Alright, let's go see what Yuuji's up to." Sukuna went along with your excuse, mostly just because he liked the feeling of your hand in his. The two of you wandered closer to the playground where Megumi and Yuuji were currently engaged in a game with some other kids that Sukuna couldn't have possibly guessed the subject of.
The kids alternated running around the large structure, disappearing into tunnels, jumping down to hide underneath slides and behind climbing walls. Every time Yuuji popped back up to view he would wave and call out to you both. Sukuna still felt a little warm whenever the kid called him dad and the look you gave him after made him feel caught.
"So, I can see why Yuuji was so sad those morning. Megumi's parents are just vicious monsters," you said and Sukuna was so taken aback he knew his expression didn't hide it well. You smiled and swung your hand that was still in his, turning so you could look at him.
"I don't think that's what the issue was," Sukuna managed and you nodded.
"Right, it must have been because he's so lonely," you said before the two of you were interrupted by the sound of children's ecstatic laughter. You both looked to where Yuuji was now being chased by an entire horde of children.
"I'm the curse, you have to catch me," he yelled out and the other children screamed and laughed as they tried to grab him. Yuuji had never had a hard time making friends and that was very evident in the way he got kids of all ages, even the quiet ones to join in on his game.
"You can have friends and still be lonely," Sukuna argued and you gave him just the softest look. It wasn't fair for you to see through his schemes and still look at him like that.
"Are you lonely, Sukuna?" You got closer to him, your hand still got in his and you were so warm. "Maybe I should come home with you, then?"
Sukuna couldn't have stopped himself from kissing you even if he wanted to, which he didn't. He let go of your hand so he could cup your face in both of his palms. You moaned your approval into his mouth and he responded by nipping your upper lip, pulling you up to meet him as he leaned down to kiss you. Sukuna was about to risk another arrest by taking you right here in the park before a familiar voice called out to the both of you.
"Hey now, there's children here."
Sukuna turned to give the infuriating dumbfuck a piece of his mind when you distracted him by pulling him back to you and giving him a quick peck on the lips. He could leave the fight with Gojo for another day, he supposed. He knew he'd win anyway.
You're smiling and you look so happy and Sukuna doesn't feel the least amount of guilt in getting you here. Even if you knew it was a trick.
Although.
Did this mean you knew that all those times he was "stuck at work" and needed someone to watch Yuuji were a lie too? Or that he actually could cook and the one time he set the building fire alarm off had been because he started an actual fire and not just him burning dinner and two of them didn't actually need you to invite them to dinner so much? Did you also know that your radiator hadn't just stopped working randomly but he had broke it, knowing you would call him because your super never answered, and when he said a part was still missing and you would just have to stay the night at his and Yuuji's place-
Sukuna looked at you more closely and you just kept smiling.
As Yuuji called for the two of you to come help him and Megumi on the swings, Sukuna wondered if he had ever trapped you, even once. Or if you had just let him catch you.
Watching you push Yuuji as the boy screamed for you to go "higher, higher!" he decided he didn't care. Fuck, it might just be better. Knowing you were maybe as crazy as he was.
shout out to the dad at the park today who had the audacity to play with his toddler and have a cute dog at the same time.
also I liked the end of this so much I may just write a prequel of Sukuna and reader taking turns gaslighting the other into a relationship, we'll see.
Edit: wrote the prequel, here!

New Eve (Adam x Fem! Wife! Reader)

I hope I wrote this ask and understood it correctly! Adam is my guilty pleasure. I love men who are dumb as rocks and who are going to be absolutely leashed by even stronger women.

There's a saying that all good things come in threes, Lilith, Eve, and you. Adam's final wife, who physically couldn't be swayed by Lucifer because Adam had met you in Heaven. When you passed through the pearly gates, you were greeted by none other than the first human himself. You were in awe for about two seconds until you quickly gathered the first man was a complete and utter dickhead. He seemed to falter when you walked past him to greet an angel named Lute, Adam's second in command. She tensed a little as you introduced yourself, ignoring Adam's protests that dubbed you a Queen Mega Bitch.
All this to say, it took about three months before Lute caught Adam sticking his tongue down your throat with you latched onto him like a koala. You made a distressed sound at being caught while listening to Adam laugh above you. You distinctly heard him call your mouth as good as a vagina while pressing a kiss to your hairline. "Adam!" You hissed, pulling on the horns of his mask as he let out a defiant sound, "Inappropriate."
"Ugh yeah, that's kind of my thing, sugar tits."
"You need to not make it your thing, or this thing doesn't happen." You drew your line in the metaphorical sand before marching out of the room, faintly hearing Lute argue about Adam's behavior behind you.

Two years later, you were Adam's new 'Eve' in heaven with two golden rings to prove the love that formed between the two of you...somehow. Did the both of you fight constantly? Yes. Did you want to wring his neck every time he opened the gaping hole he called a mouth? Also Yes. But did you love him...unfortunately. Even though he had a laundry list of bad habits, a vulgar mouth, and gross hobbies, he had his moments. He was protective, fiercely so, and despite his fuck boy personality, he only had his sights set on you. Lute often asked you what you saw in Adam, and you'd reluctantly sigh and give a tired grin, "He makes me laugh. Plus, with proper motivation, he's putty in my hand." Lute made a sound of understanding, nodding her head,
"Ah, yes. Use your feminine wiles to control those weaker than you, even if they may be physically stronger. We must use what we are given as women. Well, you must. I'm very strong without using that to my advantage."
"Yes, exactly," You snickered as Lute stopped outside Adam's office. "Which is exactly why Sera put me in charge of convincing Adam to meet with The Morningstar's daughter." You groaned, rubbing the bridge of your nose, "I'll see you back here later, then?"
"Yes, ma'am." Lute bowed, "I wish you luck...you'll need it. He's in one of his moods." before taking off into the sky and down the hall. You reached up with a stretch of your arms, fluffing up your wings to look extra pretty before knocking on Adam's door,
"Adam." You hummed, knocking on the grand marble door once before opening it. You leaned against the entranceway, wings brushing against the floor, as his head shot up.
"Sugartits!"
"Not my name!" You dodged Adam's hug with a flurry of your wings; he grinned, shoving the door closed with his hip. "Adam," you said in warning as he used his angelic magic to fly towards you and trap you within his arms.
"and what would you prefer I call you? My Bitch? Wifey?" He mused, peppering sloppy kisses against your cheek and down your neck. "We could go with Queen or Goddess, preferably." You shot back, dragging Adam down to sit in his chair; you hummed gently, removing his mask from his face. He leaned back, kicking his legs up on the desk as you slid down into his chest, straddling his hips. You hummed, running your fingers through his brown hair, and he melted into your touch, "My name works, too."
"I guess we can settle on Queen. Does that make me your King?" Adam preened as you scratched under his chin,
"Without a doubt...but we must talk about the Young Morningstar."
"Who?" He made a faux confused face which you raised an eyebrow back at in response, "Ugh, Lucifer's cunt daughter. What about her?"
"She's been begging for a meeting. I suggest you meet with her." Your lips began to trail down his neck, nipping at his skin as his body flushed.
"But that's so much work, sugar." He groaned, running his clawed hands through your hair, "Can't I just say fuck off back to hell we're gonna exterminate all of you regardless."
"Sera wants you to at least meet with her one time; she's giving you a lot of trust to handle this on your own."
"And if I do what you ask, what'll you give me?" He mused, eyes sparkling. You huffed, hitting him with the back of your wing, and he laughed, "Come on, you gotta sweeten the deal for me, mama."
"You're such a bastard." You huffed, moving to pull your hair out of your face. He moved his legs to the ground, and you could slide between his knees. "Robe off unless you want dirty," you commanded as Adam fumbled out of it quickly.
"I love you~" He leaned back with a sly grin, hand reaching up to move your head closer to his lip. Your fingers spread across his thighs, and you huffed softly, looking up at him.
"I love you more. If I do this for you, you promise to meet with young Lady Morningstar?"
"You can't just fuck me because you love me?"
"Bite me." You sneered, but there wasn't any malice in your voice as he stood up, picking you up off the ground and pressing your back against his desk.
"Oh, it would be my pleasure. I can't say your robes will survive, though I might need to get you some new ones." Adam popped the buttons on your robe, allowing your body to be laid bare for his eyes. He watched your breathing hitch as his long claw trailed down your neck to your chest. "Fuck I love these puppies, you know that?" Adam grinned, grabbing fistfuls of your breasts, squeezing and kneading to his heart's content. Your husband was like an oversized golden retriever. When he sees something he likes, he obsesses over it like a man deranged. His favorite playthings of yours were your tits and ass. "Any meetings?"
"None. I'm yours for the rest of the day. You can mark me how you'd like; I'm yours, my husband. Well, until you meet with the Princess."
"Fuckkkkk yeah, baby, come 'ere." Adam dove between your breasts, and he felt you suck in air through your teeth. He began to bite and suck on the supple flesh of your chest; you keened, arching into his mouth, hands tangling in his brown hair. You could tell from the way his teeth would graze against your nipples and your flesh he was doing everything in his power to leave marks on the skin.
"Adam...ngh." You panted, feeling his hand move down from your breast to slide down your stomach and between your legs. "Shit," You squeaked, feeling him tease your clit with his thumb and forefinger with a dopey grin on his face.
"There's my favorite girl," He flicked your nub skillfully; for being a massive asshole, this prick sure knew where to find your clit. One finger slid between your folds, and you tossed your head against the cold marble desk. "Damn, only one finger has you acting up? I must not be treating you good enough," He purred as another finger entered you, stretching you out to be big enough for, 'the first ever man god created.' Adam watched with delight as your wings spread out and trembled, glowing with a soft golden glow. "That's it, you're being such a good girl for me. Are you ready?"
"Yes." You panted, "Adam, please."
"God, you beg so nicely, you little slut," His hand reached up to grip your throat, causing you to let out a desperate whine, hips bucking into his fingers. "Beg Harder," He demanded, moving your hand to palm him through his trousers, stiff and aching. "Look at how hard you make me. How desperate. I need you to worship your god."
"Yes, sir." You purred, "You're my God, Adam. I need you, I'd worship for your love, your touch, your dick." You dragged your hand up your chest, playing with the swell of your own breast, "Don't you want to make me happy, baby?"
"More than anything." Adam's eyes lit up in elation, "Stay with me. Don't go to Lucifer. You're mine." He snarled, hands around your throat, "Say it."
"I'm with you. Only you. Forever Adam." His entire body seemed to relax when you said that, pressing gentle kisses to your cheek and lips. "I love you, you annoying Dickweed."
"Love you more, Sugartits." He grinned cheekily before lowering himself to you with a hiss-like laugh. "Tight as ever, and that's why I love you,"
"If you keep talking nonsense while you're literally inside me, I'll cut off your dick,"
"Sounds kinky."
"Adam."
"Fine, Fine, you're so vanilla." He mused, albeit his tone was much softer, fonder than his earlier teasing. His hands grabbed under your knees and pressed you close with a snap of his hips. You both let out a moan, yours higher pitched and needier, bucking your hips, searching for more friction than he was currently providing. You always savored the way he was able to fill you up, he wasn't the longest but god was he thick filling you in all the right ways. Every time his hips snapped into you, you could feel just how deep he kissed your cervix. "Yeah, you like that?" He panted, "Like how deep I'm getting? From the way you're dripping, you're practically soaking through my table. Your vag is like a vice, babe, so tight for this big cock."
"Hm. Your words always know how to turn me o-ng-ff." You moaned out this end at a particularly sharp thrust of his hips. "Fuck you," You panted as he grinned down at you,
"Good news, wifey, that's exactly what we're doing-"
"Sir!" You let out a scream as Lute slammed the door of his office open, you climbed against Adam's body like an embarrassed Nun. He groaned, still inside you but having the decency to cover you with his wings.
"What do you need, Lute? I'm a little busy getting it on with my sexy ass wife." Adam complained, motioning to the top of your head, to which you made an embarrassed sound of mortification. "Can this be rescheduled or-"
"The Princess of Hell is here, Sir. She just showed up-"
"Are you for real telling me that the bitch Princess of Hell is seriously cucking me right now?!"
"...Yes."
"(Y/n) If I killed her for interrupting us, would you be pissed?"
"Beyond Adam."
"Fuck."

You are the knife (I turn inside myself),
S2!Post-addiction!Spencer Reid x afab!BAU!reader
SMUT!! (and copious amounts of angst, and like a small amount of fluff to just⌠balance it out), Workplace rivals, aka, enemies to lovers (who are still enemies and would rather die than tell each other theyâre in love).
ââââ autistic spencer (as per usual), evil evil reader (im being dramatic, kinda), they hate each other so much that they have to find a new way to crawl into each others skin.
Warnings: sub spencer, brat!spencer (a man gets glasses and suddenly thinks he can be defiant) brat!tamer!reader, HUGE corruption kink (someone keeps putting that in there???? itâs not me, i swear), first time for Spencer (i love a virginal nerd), restraints (someone has to pin him down), cryingâ like lots of crying, degradation (and a little praise because they work hand in hand), Spencer eats reader out like rent is due, reader says thankyou by destroying him, they argue mid-sex. They actually just argue constantly.
â warning: mentions of past drug addiction.
w.c: 9k (mostly smut, holy shit how is it 9k??? their arguments hiked up my word count im positive)
a/n: i know tumblr hates to see me coming with my Spencer Reid one shots. I wrote this at 3am when I was supposed to be studying for my latin exam, itâs okay. Uni will understand I had greater things to do. I promise iâll get around to my requests this week, i just got possessed by the holy ghost and wrote this.
ââââââââââââ
Something, something, mindless torture. Spencer holds his brain, his intellect, in high regard. Proverbial accomplishments, Stanford Binet approved genius, heâs an outlier to most. And yet, the moment you start speaking, he has no thoughts beyond the domineering urge to throw himself off a cliff.
Youâre late today. Chicago, youâve both been sentenced, discarded to create a profile from the minimal information present. Forced proximity, the team have been trying to stifle this animosity shared between you for over a year now. It doesnât work.
Hereâs the thing, each member of the BAU has their own specialised feat: Penelope could be a cybercriminal, if she so wished, a tech-genius that has no qualms in tearing down firewalls. Morgan, adroit, an expert on the field, stereotypically strong, all running lines of muscle. Who wouldnât want to be princess-carried away from danger by him? Heâs also remarkably good at kicking down doors. Gideon has incalculable years of experience, a mentor.
The list stretches on.
But you and Spencer canât both be the brains of the team. Itâs unbalanced, skewed. A clash of intellect. Scales tipped in one direction, why does he always come up short? Why canât he justâ
Why, repeats as you push through the bureau, blanking the predictable, formulaic stares of various officers, trained officials, the usual mess. Whyâ why profiling? Why did you voluntarily choose to suffer your way through ceaseless cases of sanguinary? There has to be an element of masochism to your career; no one with a sane mind voluntarily decides to walk into an onslaught of serial killers and death.
The early mornings are always the worst; stumbling out of bed, deriving no sleep from the night, tangled sheets and restless limbs. âDonât,â you push, padding into the office, met with Spencerâs hardened gaze. âLate night.â
âWe havenât been here for 48 hours yet, 36 and 22 minutes to be precise, and youâve alreadyââ
âGet your mind out of the gutter, boy genius. Late night as in I stared at the casefiles until my mind went numb.â
âDid you take a break?â he asks, and you both know itâs not born from care. âMaybe a self-reflection period to realise that torturing yourself isnât the most effective form of work. Your reactive skills will be delayed now, letâs hope we donât find the unsub today. In fact, maybe I should warn Hotchââ
âHave I ever warned Hotch about your breakdowns?â that shuts him up. It also makes him spiral, because you canât know, itâs not statistically possible that youâd be aware of Hankelâs lasting impact on his body, dilaudid, hydromorphine, and not tell someone. He assumes youâd be desperate to eliminate him from the team, to claim your win.
âRight, umâ the case,â he shifts in his seat. Professionalism, tolerance, itâs all a little too much work when it comes to the subject of you.
âThe case.â you agree.
Youâre attuned to each other, a psychological curse heâs forced to stomach. Offices and crime scenes, analysing, competing, hellbent on one upping the other. âLook at these markingsââ his hands rifle through the files that adorn the table, searching searching until they produce an autopsy report.
The markings on the body are intricate, latin symbols prominent against the victims pale skin. You lean further forward, following the path of his index finger as it traces the outline. Perhaps thereâs an element of telepathy to your dynamic; you donât need to state the obvious, too aware that his brain has already processed the information, that heâs moved onto the nuances now.
Human sacrifice, itâs not the first time youâve caught yourselves in the midst of cult worship and indoctrination. But itâs certainly the first time of its kind.
âTraces of wine in her bloodstream. Found in a forest. Sounds like a bacchanal.â you state, shifting to pull yourself up on the desk.
Spencer looks. At your long, slender legs extending out from a pencil skirt. Effortless, natural, situating yourself on the oakwood, hair half covering your face, with loose strands pooling over your eyes to obstruct your sight.
Itâs a strange analogy, the two of you; Spencer with his tired eyes, haphazard clothes and messy desk, and you, just as dishevelled in the morning light.
Metaphorically and literally youâre higher than him right now. He fixes his askew glasses. Clears his throat. âRegina Horthorne,â the victim, âStraight A student. Honour role. What are the chances she willing went to said⌠bacchanal?â
âHm. I donât know, maybe sheâs like Laura Palmer. Double life. 4.0 cheerleader by day, crazed bacchante by night.â you retort.
Shamelessly, you take a moment to observe him, just as he did you. Shirt sleeves bunched up at his elbows, hair tousled, large hazel eyes, interminably darting across your face. You wonder for a moment if heâs analysed you the way youâve analysed him. Itâs a futile question, of course he has.
Anything to gain the upper hand.
You continue, âMaybe theyâre sacrificing virgins. You could go undercover as a potential victim. Certainly fit the part.â
âIâm already too old to be counted as an appropriate victim. Thereâs a high probability âtheyâ, the dominant unsub, wouldnât even look at me, andââ he pauses, pretty face marred by creased features, brows furrowed, a slight pout to his lips.
âThereâs a homicidal cult preforming human sacrifice, and youâre wasting time by insulting me?â Spencer isâŚ.. a perpetual scholar, a social disaster, wearing his intellect like an ill-concealed secret, outcasted for the weight of his own brilliance. âThe BAU clearly made a well-informed decision when they hired you.â
âOh, you wound me boy genius.â you respond, pressing your hand against your heart.
Endless cases. The impenetrable presence of fall. It feels like you shift through cycles, bleary-eyed and tainted from the job, damaged goodsâ do you struggle to sleep like I do?
You lean forward, hands, adorned with cluttered rings, braced against the table, bodies closer now. Thereâs a burn, something fervent that lingers between you, rivalry, opposition. Some days you feel as hedonistic as the unsubs you track and chase.
Continuing, you let out a sharp laugh. âAre you still bitter because I realised it was a bacchanal before you? Donât worry, iâll let you take the credit for it. Iâm sure Gideon will be so impressed.â
Gideon sees everything in him, and nothing in you. Predictable.
The distance between you has become almost null. Itâs intimate, and heâs not sure how he feels about that. âIâm not bitter. And I donât care about the credit.â A lie. âUnlike you, I donât need to prove my worth to him.â
ââââââââââââ
Spilt blood. Your hands are calloused from holding a gun. From firing a bullet straight through skull. The case closes, locked behind that inviolable wall, the one thatâs installed into your mind the moment youâre employed, the moment you sign your fate over to the BAU. Youâre not sure why anyone stays, overworked and undervalued, thereâs no heroes in real life. Maybe itâs the sense of family, or maybe itâs just what everyone subconsciously fell into.
You canât understand why youâre so angry at Spencer, why it extends to the next case, South Dakotaâ deaths of locals, but these days, all of the illogical, petty reasons just blur together. Create this tangled mess of overcompensation. âI assumed you two would get along,â Prentiss had statedâ but what does she know? Sheâs been an active member of the BAU for a whole 10 minutes.
The hostility has mounted to new levels now.
Itâs hard work, long hours, no gratitude and a pay cheque that canât even begin to cover the trauma that comes with the job. The BAU is like self-sabotage: a long list of reasons to leave, and no real reasons to stay. But still youâre both stuck in this loop.
South Dakota, of course itâs South Dakota. Cold, desolate South Dakota where the wind and snow will not let up, and the team are forced to remain cooped up in a cheap motel, desperate for any sort of entertainment.
Here he is, coerced into your room to work on the case, overtime, his eyes are rimmed crimson.
Youâre sprawled out across the bed while he sits at the other end, slender legs crossed. Spencer is tired with a weariness that seems to go soul-deep, shoulders slumped forward, glasses oblique.
The tension is near-palpable, stifling. âI can do this myself. No offence,â full offence, âbut youâre unneeded right now. In general, really.â
You make him cruel. Or no, maybe this job does? He canât remember himself unscathed now, fresh-faced to the BAU, unaware of what heâd endure. Itâs still early days in recovery, two months since he was entirely, indomitably reliant on Dilaudid.
âNo you canât,â you retort. Maybe itâs unprofessional, disreputable to waste so much breath on insults, to dedicate specific moments to hostilityâ people are dead, people will keep dying. And yet, perhaps thereâs justification for this; your mutual animosity is the only semblance of routine to this job, the only way either of you can seek control.
Control. All you do is reach for the blade.
âYouâre just bitter that I know what Iâm doing. Youâre not infallible, Boy Wonder. You need my help, so shut up and read that autopsy report. The sooner this is over, the sooner I can go back to my apartment and forget you exist.â
Well thatâs certainly unlikely.
âI think,â he says, and he knows this is going to be bad. He can feel the serrated edge to his forming words, his half-baked analysis too focused, too distracted, by his need to hurt. But heâs exhausted, and these days, he runs on a detrimentally short fuse. Maybe he finds a release in your dynamic, or maybe it makes everything worse. How can something be everything and nothing at the same time?
âI think youâre insecureâ he continues, âbecause you know Gideon values me more. That, to him, youâre replaceable. Itâs why youâre so fixated on one upping me. Why you feel the need to prove yourself superior. Textbook insecurity. You canât stand the fact that he chooses me over you, that he thinks Iâm better than you. That my input is more wanted, more necessary.â
This is uncharted territory now. Itâs never been pushed to this extent. Itâs never gotten so morbidly cruel that his words actually pierce. Youâd consider yourself to be thick-skinned, bullet-proof, a mess of hardened edges and calloused flesh. But he regards you with such insignificance, in a way thatâs different from your own personal view of him.
Obstinate, petty, a smart kid yet to meet his match. But never insignificant.
Thereâs silence, and then heâs dragging you down with him, forcing you to dig deeper, to smother wounds with salt. âDid he really choose you, though? No one on the team noticed. Not one person. After the Hankel case? When you came back different?â
Spencer falters.
Itâs a vulnerable, raw spot, a laceration that never seems to heal; the worst part is that youâre right. Heâd been in a spiralling decline for months, in plain sight, but everyone had been so absorbed in their own issues and god he needed a release. No one noticed. No one ever notices.
That he has no life, no prospects outside of the BAU. That his existence has been one comicotragic mess of inexperience, missing the mark, missing the joke, the punchline, the fact that everyone was always laughing at him, behind his back, to his face, present or gone. It didnât matter? Why would it ever matter to a bunch of washed-out teenagers?
He was robbed of his adolescence. And these days, he barely gets by.
Spencerâs eyes drift back to the files, avoiding your perusing gaze, if only you had enough decency to soften your eyes. Just once.
âYou donât get to bring that into this.â He murmurs. âShut up.â
âYou started thisââ
âAre you 5?â he bites back, âI was making an observation.â
When he abruptly stands up, files clattering to the floor, discarded despite the prevalent case, youâre quick to follow after him, to chase him into the cheap motel corridor. Because no, he doesnât get to walk away from this. Not when he laid the first blow, when the first cut was drawn from his blade. Perhaps itâs perverse, to chase the hurt that comes from being around him. Maybe itâs all just an elaborate way to self-harm, to find release in the distorted relationship you both share.
âWhere are you going? You canât walk away from this one.â you state, gripping his arm. Nails pressing into skin, crescent marks thatâll stain and remind and then acheâ itâs repetitive now.
âI covered for your ass.â you knew about the addiction, you knew, and even though omitting such information to the BAU couldâve lost your license, you still. Didnât. Say. Anything.
Itâs not like it took much effort to discern the truth.
âI also signed your email up to about 100 rehab centres and self-help blogs.â youâre not sure if you did that out of malice, or if it was your own, interpersonal way of minimising the damage, despite the circumstances.
You noticed. The rest of the BAU, who pressed false promises of friendship, loyalty into his shaking palms didnât notice. Didnât even think to humour what he became at his worst. But you did.
Furthermore, to add onto that jarring conclusion, you helped him. Admittedly in your own insufferable, (downright mocking) way. But it was help, and thatâs more than heâs ever received before.
All he knows right now is that he hates you, hates the person he is, the person this job, and the intransigent presence of you, forced him into becoming.
All he knows is that heâs stumbling forward, cupping your face (taking your grip along with it), and kissing you. Kissing you hard. Like heâs Icarus and youâre the sun, worth the inevitable burn, even if the touch is only momentary, even if itâll seal his fate as foolish.
Itâs a mess of harsh, rough skin, tousled hair and sharp teeth against soft lips. Itâs like trying to grasp at stardust, his hands fumbling for purchase along your body, trying to push you closer, as if the chasm of space between you is unbearable, a distance thatâs impossible to endure.
He laughs when you respond instinctively, a sharp excuse of a noise, muffled by your swollen lips, and heâs just kissing you through it because he hates you, he hates youâ he hates you so much that sometimes he canât breathe when youâre around.
You crawled under his skin a long time ago, made yourself a home there.
âI think Iâd rather be held hostage for a second time than kiss you again.â he says, and he mightâve elaborated further, but his lips abandon such a notion to chase your own.
The kiss becomes more languid, more desperate, like heâs trying to find an answer in response to it. Thereâs a brief, agonising break, foreheads pressed together, a harsh gasp of air, before the moment restarts.
God you taste good. Feel good, he thinks. Heâs never been this intimate, not beyond Lila, that fleeting mess in the pool. The two events incomparable, he felt something then, small and minuscule, not enough to pursue. But right now? Oh, In contrast, he feels everything now.
âI wish you were being held hostage. Itâd be quieter,â you retort. Itâs muffled, and youâre moving, bodies stumbling into obstacles as you relocate, when did you get to your room? It feels like natural progression, evolution, diminutive changes that you donât even realise are occurring.
You bite his bottom lip, draw it between your teeth, ruin him for anyone else. Because isnât that what youâve been doing for years now? Hurting each other so profoundly that only you can bare the scarred aftermath?
Itâs sick. Itâs sick, and you wonder how petty comments, trivial work-place rivalry distorted into this? How youâve just ended up sick because of each other, and admittedly, for each other.
What is sickness without pleasure?
He whimpers. The noise almost imperceptible, but itâs there, and itâs pathetic, an unbecoming thing caught somewhere between a gasp and needy whine. Heâs backed against the wall now, and he canât find it in him to complain.
âOf course it would be you,â he says breathlessly. For all the knowledge he lacks here (physically; heâs well-versed in the hypotheticals of anatomy), he doesnât feel pure.
People like him donât get that.
He should feel guilty. He should recoil at the touch, at the knowledge you bear, at the reality of this. Except, for some unknown reason, he relishes in the idea of someone having him, even if the cost is his pride, his dignity, even if the cost is you.
He whimpers again as your teeth rake along the slope of his neck, shuddering at the sharp sensation, and heâs almost begging, words on the verge of being uttered.
But he canât. Because that isnât him when heâs with you. âAre you going to punish me? For uh, everything I said tonight? Because ah, god, Iâd like to see you try.â
Admittedly, itâs not hard to break his resolve. A few more soul-crushing kisses and your wandering hand, dipping beneath his trousers, hard. Obscenely hard. Yes, heâs muttering as you unclasp buttons, as you loosen his trousers to the extent that you can palm him through his boxers. Half-choked gasps escape his bruised lips with every touch, and heâs crying now. Pretty tears streaming down his face, accentuating those doe-wide eyes of his, now glossy and warped.
âOnly person whoâs ever touched you, huh?â you state, and maybe you derive pleasure from that concept. That only your hands, drenched thick with staining blood, have ever scrutinised the warmth of his skin. The areas where his form curves, and the areas that make him come apart, undone at the seams. Grasping you, relying entirely on the wall, just to remain upright and somewhat conscious.
He makes another noise, another guttural, pathetic sound. Because, yeah, itâs just you. Itâs only you, and the thought should be unbearable, but the pleasure of having, being touched is too much.
He has to grasp the back of your shirt, nails digging into fabric, as a distraction, a way to centre himself, while the rest of the world falls apart. His words are scattered, broken and messy, and he finds himself saying things heâll inevitably regret. âPlease, I canât-â
Heâs supposed to hate this, hate you.
âCantâ canât take it. Oh,â he wants to bury his face into the crook of your neck, but youâre gripping his jaw, forcing him to look directly at you. Glasses discarded, the view was blurry without the added layers of tears.
âEyes on me, boy genius.â
He complies. Gaze locked, unable to look away, entranced by the way your pupils dilate, staring at you, like youâre artwork, something to be studied and broken down and torn apart, only to be rebuilt again once heâs had his fill.
âLetâs look at you. Hm?â you state, removing his sweater, then his shirt, and thereâs so many layers, and heâs acting coy now, as if he wasnât whimpering moments prior.
Instinctively, by reflex, he tries to cover himself up. To hide planes of untouched skin from your gluttonous palms. You grip his wrists, pin them above his head, and oh isnât this a sight: Spencer Reid, entirely bare, bound by you alone, tear track marks and swollen lips.
He always wanted to be seen.
He just didnât expect, anticipate, being seen to this extent. He canât fight your trailing gaze, and he doesnât want to; it might make him flushed, a few irrational movements away from a cardiac arrest, but this itâ raw uncut intimacy.
Youâre softer now, as you run your hand along his dick, earning a variety of muffled noises, as your thumb brushes over his tip, taking care to touch every part of him. Everywhere he needs it. When you finally wrap your fingers around him, everything burns, fervent and collapsing, and he supposes this is what it felt like the moment Troy collapsed.
âMhh,â he moans, hips bucking in time with your palm, steady movements.
Heâs already so messy, and it should be embarrassing, but all he feels is the blunted edges of pleasure, the jagged cut of humiliation, warring against each other.
âYouâreâ oh.. youâre enjoying this far too much,â he manages, and it takes so much energy to get it out, his words slurring, interrupted by debauched gasps.
It feels good, so good that he canât process the shame thatâs bound to follow. He hates you, and he might be a little in love with you, and itâs not fair to process feelings, chemicals, he was never supposed to obtain.
âThat itâs. There you go. Thatâs my good boy.â
Spencer sobs.
âShh, shh, I know, I know, itâs a lot.â thereâs always an element of condescension to your words. An undertone that rips through his defences. Destroys him in the process.
His body is receptive, ruined, because of the praise. Heâs not sure how you can look at him, clearly, consciously, and dictate that heâs good. Most days he feels impure, debased. Burnt-out and wasted, the great always fall.
The same skin he pierced with needles is now reverently on show, and you should be cruel, itâs what youâre both good at, the only viable way to communicate, an undisclosed secret language. But youâre not. That confuses him to no extent.
âI canâtâ cant, âm so close.â his arms are still bound above his head, and despite the ache, he keeps them there. Itâs not the most conventional âfirst timeâ, but he takes it regardless.
âYeah?â you mutter, pace picking up. The sound is obscene, his excessive pre-cum smeared across his length, wet noises with every stroke. âYou wanna cum for me, hm?â
âOh god,â he breaks, âYesâ yes, pleaseââ
You have no interest in denying him, not when heâs this destroyed from a mere hand-job. âGo on then. Just because you asked so nicely.â
He falls apart. Dewy-eyed and blissed out, you force him to look at you as he reaches his orgasm. To keep looking as he squirms and writhes. So he does, because apparently his cognitive function has evaporated now.
Your tongue meets your palm, tasting him, pressing the excess into his mouth with an indecent kiss. Is this what sex entails? Complete submission, vulnerabilities bared wide? Dirty in that primal sense, the same one he always shied away from?
Finally, finally in the aftermath, he breaks his stare. His head falls back against the wall, eyes closed, neck exposed. Stifled gasps, itâs quiet, as if youâre both aware of your actions, the consequences of them.
âThis is, uhâ yeah.â he mumbles, reaching for his clothes; now the ecstasy has worn off, the shame overpowers. The sin of man, heâs starting to think youâre the personification of the serpent.
Or maybe itâs the other way around. He doesnât hold his own body to such pure standards. Heâs not sure any benevolence would look at him with acceptance. Not after everything heâs done to it.
âHey wait,â youâre not good at this whole âniceâ thing, not when it comes to him. But there have been moments, in the past, small, fleeting seconds ofâŚ. youâre not entirely sure what to call them. Late hours spent scrutinising cases, your back-up points to his statements, mindless information dumps that the team canât quite understand.
âDonât make me chase you a second time, jesus.â You canât just leaveââ you exhale, breathe, in and out, âAre you okay?â
He stops. He stops because youâve never asked that question, never cared to ask that question, and maybe that hurts more than not being asked at all.
A part of him, the small part of him thatâs not functional, wants to stay, wants to just stay in this bliss and pretend that it doesnât matter, that the inevitable fallout wonât occur. But the larger, prominent part, reminds him that this isnât right, that he needs to leave and collect his wits.
âI donât know, im confusedââ he sighs, drags a shaky hand through his hair. âYeah, im uh⌠iâm fine. âI just need to leave, I have to-â he swallows. âI canât. Not right now, I need to doâ anything but this.â
He walks out on you and itâs fine.
ââââââââââââ
Everything is fine, reality can return, and you can forget that you had his arms bound against the wall, that he fell apart from the weight of your dragging palm. You can pretend you never saw him naked, bare in every form of the word. Stripped raw, his lips burning against yours, skin on skin. Itâs. Fine.
Life continues. Your dynamic remains the same, unrelenting, your biting words, just short of callous, his scathing remarks. Modus Operandi. You wonder how youâve turned the most tender person into something sharp, and you wonder if itâs ever going to be reversible.
When the case closes, the BAU, in predictable, systematic fashion, celebrate (ease the weight) over drinks. Youâre adorned in lace, a black dress that just catches your thighs. Itâs late now, and by the time you arrive at the dive-bar, the majority of the team are intoxicated (you couldnât go straight from work, there was still blood clinging to your skin).
Everything is fine. To reiterate.
Itâs not.. Itâs not. Because oh, Spencer finds himself staring. Heâs fairly certain he doesnât have any lingering interest. But then again, why is he fixated on the way fabric clings to your ruinous figure, the way your hair sits, slightly dishevelled, pooled over one shoulder? Itâs exasperating and inebriating all at once. You shouldnât be able to affect him to such an extent, and yet here he is, mindlessly staring at you with starry-eyes. He should look away. Leave even?
Of course, he fails. You end up squeezing in next to him, all leather seats and too little space.
And, okay, he knows he should feel guilty.
In reality, heâs not. Because, sure, heâs sat too close, and sure, he can just make out the scent of your perfume, faintly floral. But heâs intoxicated, just as everybody else is, and itâs making logic and reason seem far off, too distant to process. He looks at you once, then twice, like he canât quite believe youâre tangible.
âYou look nice, I guess,â he murmurs bluntly, looking away, feigning disinterest.
As if the âincidentâ (as heâs taken to calling it) didnât tilt his world on its axis.
âYou also look nice, I guess.â you retort, and itâs the best youâre going to get out of each other. At least in this state (the surplus of praise that left your bruised, possessed lips cannot be justified, or repeated ever. again.)
You lean forward, watch as his face creases at the proximity. Are you thinking about the kisses? Plural, fuck, plural. Open-mouthed, desperate movements?Youâre. not. Instead, you steal his glasses, slip them on. The prescription is strong, thick lenses that distort your perception.
âWhat do you think?â you ask, âI might go as you for halloween, itâll definitely scare the kids.â
âThey make you look intelligent. Considering you need all the help you can get, Iâd take that as a compliment,â
Itâs a domestic action, to put on his glasses. And the thoughts that burn through his mind stem from HR prohibited to domestic, which he argues is far worse. You, tangled in sheets, sporting nothing but his glasses. Resting against the tip of your nose, askew, as you ride him. As you tilt your head back, exposingâ no.
He wants to say something about how ridiculous you lookâ but itâs hard to focus, youâre taking up all of his sanity, like a computer running multiple programs at once. Youâre malware actually, destined to corrupt him (which youâve already done to a painful extent).
âYou canât just touch my stuff.â he settles on, sounding more petulant than anticipated.
âOh chill out, boy wonder. Itâs a pair of glasses,â you mutter, removing them to blink blink blink, and there he is, the centre focus of your vision, now fully detailed again. It takes you a moment to render in his appearance: shirt sleeves rolled to his elbows, arms exposed, long, deft fingers. Thereâs heavy bags gathering beneath his eyes, dragging down those big, blown-out irises of his, wide and completely dirty (how is it that his natural resting face is so obscene?).
Focus.
You push the glasses back onto his face. Better, itâs a sight youâve come to anticipate after he ran out of contact lenses. âThere. Oh, were you just upset because you couldnât see me properly? Thatâs sweet, Spence. Flattery will get you everywhere.â
He can see everything.
Every small detail of your face; strands of hair falling loose, dilated pupils, accentuated by heavy liner, obsidian that contrasts against your incisive eyes. Your lips, oh your lips, he could write a thesis on them. Stained crimson, if he were to kiss you right now, residue would catch against his own mouth, incriminate him.
He gets up. Excuses himself. Sometimes he wishes he could vanish.
But itâs not good enough.
âYou,â he says between messy kisses, âNeed to keep your hands to yourself.â â okay, heâs not sure how this happened. He left for the bathroom (to splash water on his face, gather his dignity, perhaps drown himself?) and you to humour the locals outside, gathering around with half-smoked cigarettes and slurring conversations.
But then, on his way back, padding through the long corridor (why is it always a corridor?), you were there, and yeah. He was screwed. Fatefully wrecked.
He had tried, in the moments leading up to his demise, to resist, but he was a man of logic and science and the science, when he was around you, simply did not apply. Youâre bad for him, in every sense, he should avoid you, he should stay away.
But now, thereâs no space between your bodies, no space for rationality or reasoning (god heâs tired of the thinking part. He just wants to feel).
The kiss is rough, sloppy, a desperate, messy thing. âThis canât keep happening,â he mumbles against your smeared lips.
âDo you remember last time?â you question. Itâs taboo, to bring it up, to disclose the buried. But youâre fairly certain this compromising position wouldnât exist without the lethal effects of that one night. The cheap motel and his body arching into your touch.
Rationality appears to be nonexistent now. A discarded concept.
Like last time, you guide him back against the wall, pin his hands above his head. Mirroring your actions. Well, to some âdignifiedâ extent. âHad you just like this,â you lean forward to press a series of kisses along the curvature of his jaw. âI bet youâd let me take you like this again, hm? Right here? In the middle of this shitty dive bar?â
And if he werenât so far gone, heâd protest, heâd tell you that no, this is wrong, because youâre so wrong for him. He knows that if one good man has to fall, it shouldnât be him.
But you donât let good men rise, and thereâs something so enticing about the depths of hell. Heâs not sure heâs good anyway. Itâs a complex situation. âYouâre a sadist,â he murmurs, breathless, âI wouldnât.â
Your grip instinctively tightens against his wrist, and he squirms. Heâs nervous, âCould we, like⌠at least find a bathroom? Iâd take a bathroom, even though thereâs endless strains of bacteria there. Or, or split a cab. No, iâll just payâ Anything. Iâll do anything. Just not here. This is a public space, and technically, public indecency, andââ
âFuck,â heâs never been the type to swear, âIâll do anything.â this time, he says it in self-defeat. Acknowledgment.
ââââââââââââ
French exit. His wandering hands in the cab, and the electric pulse that burnt through his body as he kept a low profile, stumbling out of the bar, muttering thinly-veiled excuses for his abrupt departure.
The second youâre both inside your apartment, youâre clattering into things. âI love your eyes,â you state bluntly, forthcoming in every sense of the word, âLove it when you cry for me.â
You think of every harsh word that has ever escaped your lips, You think of the consequences they mightâve had. Did he ever cry over them? You know, in contrast, you never did over his. Though there was that sharp, sinking pain that felt like the embodiment of slow death. Something terminal, fated to linger, to eat and eat until nothing remained.
No big deal!
âItâs an involuntary bodily response. Youâre a dacryphiliac.â he responds.
Thereâs not a lot he can compute right now, his brain too preoccupied with processing your touch alone. Which is so prominent, so harrowingly good that not even his genius mind can comprehend it.
Heâs reasonable to believe he would kill whoever had the pleasure of experiencing you like this.
âItâs not a fetish if I only feel it for youââ
Spencer breaks.
âNo-no-no,â he says, too loudly, âYou canât just- say those things. You canât tell me you love when I cry, just because- I should be scared, of you. Youâre volatile. Destructive,â he murmurs, head leaning against the crook of your shoulder. Against better judgement. But all reason has left him now. Youâve stolen it, taken it as a personal trophy to parade and boast about.
âWhy am⌠Why am I not scared?â he asks, âItâs not like I make you cryâŚâ
âBecause thereâs no reason to be scared.â you answer simply. And at surface level, itâs true. In spite of the hostility, the years of white-knuckled rivalry, youâve always trusted him. Itâs a coveted admission, considering youâre circumspect by nature.
You unbutton his shirt, let it fall to the floor, exposing his skin in the middle of your apartment. Heâs standing there, and youâre not sure what to do with all of this want that perhaps youâve misplaced as enmity for so long.
âYou could make me cry,â you state, because if thereâs one person out there capable of cracking you open, leaning behind fragmented pieces, itâs him. Itâs always going to be him.
Itâs a startling realisation. That he, Spencer Reid, of all people, can reach the centre of you in ways nobody has ever done before.
âWhy would I want you to cry? Thatâsâ iâm not even sure how I would go about it.â
You grip his hips, walk yourself backwards until youâre hitting a wall, there your body instinctively curves forward to meet his. âIt doesnât always have to be bad.â you explain, because heâs looking at it from a simplistic, textbook perspective. âLast time,â those words still feel like poison, âWhen I made you cry, there was no pain, right? You cried because it felt good.â
Heâs staring at you clueless. Though, he might just be distracted. Either works.
Your hand catches his wrist, and then youâre hiking up your dress, guiding his touch beneath fabric. The lace panties that cover skin. Heâs tentative, experimental, dragging his thumb over your clit, causing your hips to cant towards him. âMake me cry, boy genius.â
You act like this is the most indecent thing heâs capable of doing. From an unbiased standpoint, itâs up there on his list, but admittedly he hasnât really done enough to constitute a list in the first place.
Spencer, in response, simply drops to his knees. Your panties are pulled down your legs in a disconcerting haze, and then heâs just groaning, cursing Gods he doesnât believe in, spiting them with blasphemy, whilst also simultaneously thanking them, humouring false promises he wonât commit to.
Itâs blasphemous, a prodigy on his knees, in front of you, for you. As if heâs worshiping something he canât even comprehend, something beyond the expanse of his knowledge. And you just pull strands of his hair, pull at the strings of him.
His hands find the inside of your thighs, caressing the soft skin there and you make another noise, a noise that has him devouring you.
Face buried between your legs, he flattens his tongue against your clit, drags it upwards to catch wetness, to affirm that youâre just as affected as he. That since you touched him, all thoughts have consisted solely of you.
He doesn't think he's doing this correctly- but you're making noises, gasps that he didnât even know you were capable of, and that's the thing about science or anatomy, whatever it may be, the brain is incredibly subjective, and the more knowledge you acquire, the less you really know.
And there's knowledge here, but itâs not utilised; no coordination, even when there should be, even when heâs got the human body memorised to perfection. Still, you seem to like him messy, desperate, drawing your clit into his mouth to pull, to tug, before shifting back to blow cold air against you.
The task was simple, at surface level: make you cry. And whilst, if you pick it apart, it becomes more complex, he seems to be efficient in following orders because right now, youâre ruined. It might not be the most meticulous head youâve received (though youâre sure, under different circumstances he could probably surpass that standard), but itâs wanting, in a way that makes you ache.
âOh oh, fuckâ fuckfuckfuck.â
You grip his hair, twisting and pulling and using, and he lets you, heâd do anything, do this forever if he had to. His fingers, still gripping your thighs, dig into soft flesh, leaving visible marks. And he wants to see those marks, in the morning, an irrefutable fact that would force him to accept this as real.
But he canât focus, canât think about anything when youâre reacting like this, so undone. How can there be anything, at all, beyond this?
He lets you drape a leg over his shoulder, letâs you get off against his face, fingers sliding inside, one digit at a time, to feel warmth wrapped around him. To feel the way you clench when he curves them, when he grazes spots that he could explain to factual detail.
Your body shudders, and youâre making noises he hasnât heard before, sounds that could only be described as obsceneâ and his name, youâre moaning his name, and god, heâs certain he would follow you to the ends of the earth right now. Without question.
Itâs when he stops, when he leans back enough that he can breathe. That he can look at you, really look at you.
Youâre messy, undone. The sight could be considered humiliating from an outside perspective, but youâre gorgeous, and heâd do this a thousand times over if it resulted in this exact reaction. A reaction that heâs given you. No one else.
âI love your face.â He says, a little bluntly. But itâs true, he does.
So he returns to the task. Practically situating you on his face now to suffocate him, to let him become some sort of extension to your pleasure. And inevitably when you fall apart, tears and writhing, boundless pleasure, he can only push you through it. Allow his existence to crumble, for the second time,
And as he draws back, face covered in you, he can only stare.
His knees are bruised. Thatâs the first thing you notice when you stumble to the bedroom, when youâve taken a moment to wipe away evidence of the tears, to regather and compose yourself. Itâs not in your nature to be soft, no to him, but you still find yourself kissing the mauve blemishes, working your way up his body after youâve oh so unceremoniously undressed him. Reduced to his boxers, heâs an incriminating sight.
âLosing your virginity to me is like the biggest irony ever.â you say, kissing along his stomach, watching as his body reacts, arches, contorts in search of more pleasure. Itâs a hypnotising sight, to see every nerve tuned to you solely.
âIronic, demeaning, enough to send past versions of myself into an early grave. Yes, I get your point.â he mutters.
Your hands find their way to the waistband of his boxers, and heâs lifting his hips, because he wants you to undress him, because heâd let you do anything right now, but he also feels embarrassed, exposed. Vulnerable in a way heâs never felt before. Youâre seeing him, seeing things he doesnât even know himself. But thereâs nowhere to hide, not while youâre slowly pulling off his underwear, with a care that heâs unaccustomed to.
âI wonât go easy on you,â you assure. Even though thatâs technically a straight-faced lie. Of course itâll be more tender than anything else youâve endured; he has this devastating habit of softening those around him. Itâs only taken this long to affect you out of pure, unbridled spite.
Oh, he wants. The evidence is his body alone. Laid out before you, like an offering, a hedonistic one. Dick hardened, dripping pre-cum onto his stomach.
âHands above your head,â you watch as he blindly obeys, any defiance now crushed. Well, for the most part: at least in his actions. âThatâs goodâ good boy. Tell me if theyâre too tight,â you say, binding them with his discarded tie.
You stare, and itâs like you want to eat him alive, and against better judgement, heâd let you. Serve himself up, passive as you tear him limb for limb, taste all the bad parts of his existence, the ones he keeps hidden shamefully away.
âToo tight? Iâve been held hostage, I think I can handle a little bit of fabric.â he retorts before tugging at the restraints, âTighter.â
âDidnât realise you were so into thisââ
âNeither did I,â he scoffs, âIâve never done it before, obviously.â
âNow you have. Congrats, iâll give you a sticker once weâre done. Gold star, huh?â and just for good measure, you tighten the restraints further. Just a few more pulls until youâre knotting it in place. Until heâs entirely defenceless, but realistically, what would you do? Itâs hard to find fear when youâve covered him on the field for over a year (heâs prone to being targeted, an unsubs wet dream).
âYes, thank you. Iâll put the sticker on the wall next to my PhDs.â right now, right in this moment, countless people are getting what they want.
And Spencer is being manhandled by his pretty coworker.
Ironically, thatâs exactly what he wants.
Youâre the perfect dichotomy. Cruel, and caring. Harsh words to juxtapose gentle hands. Soft touches, but scathing remarks that linger, leaving behind a trail of scars, the ubiquity of your cruelty.
Youâre lethal, and heâs smart enough to comprehend the danger. Except heâs never been smart when it comes to people.
Your hands are acquisitive, roaming, searching, blunt nails that scrape skin as you rake them down, down towards his abdomen. He shivers, bite into that pretty bottom lip of his until heâs spilling blood, and itâs a sight. Something sick that you both want to such an offensive extent.
âSensitive.â you murmur, like the idea of him so reactive pleases you, in a way youâve never considered before. Because the way his body strains, bucking forward to deepen the contact is maddening.
âAre you always like this?â you wonder aloud, leaning down to run a hand along the length of his inner thigh. âPoor baby, so touch-starved.â
âI donât know if Iâd use the word sensitive.â he replies, âMore susceptible to the fact that youâre touching me, and that I havenât felt another person touch me in a long time. And of course when people touch me, itâs usually professionals poking me with needles or stitching this weeks new wound.â
Touch-starved? He has sensory issues. The lightest graze can provoke, cause his skin to crawl. Of course he would like your touch, of course the universe would torture him by finding relief in the one person who nobody should stumble upon for relief.
âOh youâre a soldier, you suffer so much.â you state, and itâs condescending (naturally), but there is some truth to the serrated comment. You, the team, are all bruised, mentally and physically distorted from the consequences of the job. Only he could react so reverently to your calloused hands, blissed out to the extent that it looks like youâre witnessing ascension.
Itâs pretty. Pretty, in a soft, domestic way. One that demeans his bound wrists and your sharp words.
You press a few tender kisses to his thighs, the inner sections, where youâre certain, assured, no one has ever touched before. Maybe thereâs something possessive to that thought, the want to own, to know that no one will ever have him the way you have him.
Your touch is like a brand. He wants it, even if itâs bad, even if itâs cruel. Because the alternative to this is nothing. A lonely existence. A life of work, of chasing shadows, knowing he had so much to give, and no one to give to.
âStop mocking me.â he replies, itâs through laboured breath. âJust because I donât have your proclivity for taking hits doesnât mean I donât suffer.â
No oneâs ever touched him like this. No oneâs ever cared to try. Youâre his first.
âI know you suffer,â you retort, are you arguing? Is this foreplay? If it is, then you have some serious self-reflecting to do on every single past conversation. Because maybe you shouldâve taken him to your bed earlier, in that case.
Oh god was your hatred of each other built solely on sexual tension?
Finally, you move. Just like the first time, your hand runs across his length, taking him slowly, easing him into it, coercing him through the pleasure. Itâs not similar to before: it wonât end after heâs found his release, and itâs not frenzied and ardent. Spurred on by shame.
âAnd you know iâm always going to take the hits for you, regardless.â he whines when you remove your hand, and whines again, for contrasting reasons, as you spit on your palm, generate lubricant to support each stroke.
âOhââ he breathes out. Heâs fairly certain heâs supposed to be more contained. A huff escapes his lips and then heâs retorting, âYou could try a tactic other than reckless self-sacrifice every once in a while.â
Heâs overwhelmed, with you. All of you. The way you look, the way you talk, all the harsh lines and scathing remarks. The way you take the hits for him, an altruistic custodian, but he isnât worthy of being saved. Isnât worth the effort.
âShut the fuck up, Spencer.â you say, promptly ending this discussion; you grip his dick tighter, tilting your movements to catch him at a better angle.
âShitâ okay, okay,â he moans because that feels really really good, and he wishes he could articulate it in a better way. Something complex and poetic, but itâs just so good.
Heâs always been a little masochistic. Too smart for his own good, too analytical. He wants you to take him apart, piece by piece, and see the inner workings of his body laid out before you, raw and vulnerable. Because only you can see him like this.
He doesnât even really touch himself. Thereâs been nights, body flushed and wanton, bucking up against sheets, muffled noises pressed into his pillow. But theyâre rare, and they usually lead to an aftermath of ignominy.
Heâs a prodigy, a genius in the field of criminal psychology. So why does it feel so good like this? To be humbled, to be demoted. As if all his degrees, his awards, his intellect, mean absolutely nothing.
Heâs never felt so loved. Which is ironic. Because heâd always hoped love would be slow, gentle. Soft, like a caress. The kind of love you share over meals and pillow-talk.
He realises, with a jolt to his system, that if this is love to you, heâd accept it, in its most primal form.
âYou get off on this,â he analyses as you draw back, mostly to stifle the begs that nearly escape his mouth. Come back, need you here.
âWell Iâd be pretty concerned if I wasnât getting off on this right nowââ
âNo,â he pushes, âYou like that iâm, that yeah. I have no experience. You want to corrupt me, huh?â he looks up at you with pretty, innocent eyes. Holy shit. âRuin me for anyone else? Go on, let me have it. Iâll only come back, iâve already done it once. Statistically, itâs going to happen again. And again. Pavlovian responses, condition me. Make my body react to no one else.â
When you kiss him again, he can only take it. Can only moan, whimper, plead against your mouth until youâre lining him up, until youâre sitting on his dick, and everything is okay.
âYouâre soââ bottomed out, wrapped around him entirely, you sigh. âFuck, Spence, who taught you to be so fucking dirty?â
âYou.â he mutters, playing coy. âBut youâre a bad teacher, I think I could do with a few more lessons..â
âI think you could do with learning to shut your mouth more often.â
âIt is better suited for other purposes, I suppose..â
He gags when you slot two fingers, index and middle, into his mouth. No warning, no predetermined acknowledgment. They hit the back of his throat, and he can only suck, muffling protests around the digits until he goes blissfully silent.
âBetter,â you retort. Drawing them out, you press your thumb against his bottom lip, keeping it parted so that you can lean forward, spit into his open mouth. When you first met, he promptly refused to shake your hand, too conscious of the dissemination of germs, now? Heâs swallowing your saliva, unprompted, with little resistance.
You know him. The way you touch is like youâre searching for something. Anything about him. Itâs like youâre a bloodhound, trying to unearth every single vulnerability. And you mustâve found them, because youâre suddenly here, bearing all your weight on him, moving, and itâs all his body can do to take it. All of it. All of you.
He tugs at his restraints, because he wonât go down without a susceptible fight. Even if he knows itâs fated that he will inevitably fall. âPleaseâplease untie me, just wanna hold your hand.â
And, oh that shatters you. Like, mentally, physically, spiritually dismantles you until youâre breathless, staring at him with widened eyes and a loss of composure. Itâs such a tender request, something domestic and raw, and mindlessly youâre fumbling with the knots of his tie. Freeing them to take one in yours.
Itâs against your nature, but you canât help, canât refrain yourself from pressing a kiss against his knuckles. âYouâre doing so good fâme. Such a good boy,â
Your free hand runs across his torso now, grazing skin, admiring the sight of him, flushed, debauched, sprawled out beneath you.
He grips your hip. Thatâs the first thing he does once heâs sufficiently sane, well⌠partially, the praise did knock him entirely off balance. Tip the scales, send him over the inexorable edge.
He watches as you take the incentive to slip off his body, and the loss of friction is okay, tolerable because heâs sitting up against the headboard, drawing you closer, whining for you until youâre on his lap, until youâre sat in your rightful place.
Here, he can kiss you. Which he admits has become a very vital aspect to his existence.
The kiss is like a bruise. Not rough, heâd never be rough with you, heâs all long, languid strokes and soft movements. But itâs overwhelming, and leaves discernible, lasting imprints.
And yeah, sure, kissing you is the closest thing to worship he has ever known. Something he would like to commit to memory, every single time your lips touch, itâs like heâs seeing god in the shape of your cupidâs bow.
âPlease, I needââ he stutters over his words, âIf you donât move, I swearââ he pauses, his head falling against your shoulderâ âI swear, Iâm gonna die, this has to be against the Geneva Convention, you canât leave me like this, pleaseââ
âThe Geneva convention? Really? Is this your form of dirty talk?â you retort, unable to muffle your laugh.
âNo. Iâm stating my rights,â he says, âTorture is prohibited.â
âIâm not torturing youââ
You tangle your hand through his hair, tug tug tug, and then pull, drawing his head back by tousled strands, forcing him to meet your gaze.
âOhmyfuckinggod, yes. You are.â he whimpers.
Itâs indefensible how good he feels, how he sinks into you, hitting crevices youâre certain no one else has ever grazed before. Feeling full, whole, itâs new. Itâs your own first, and you canât even begin to articulate how defenceless you are to the way it makes you disintegrate, fragment to pieces of pleasure. Spencer is warm, and soft, and it makes you want to cry. To just fall, give in, transcendence of self, Burke said, and right now, you feel that entirely.
His moan is unapologetic, unfiltered as you move. At this point, you could slice him open, leave him bleeding in your bed, and heâd thank you for it.
You hold his hand, and yet, simultaneously destroy him.
âPlease,â he whimpers againâ heâs too pretty to be asking so nicely. âI justâ I want you closer. As close as possible, I want you so close to me that Iâm not even sure if my body can handle it.â
Itâs not dirty talk, itâs more like heâs begging you, tears staining his skin, pitiful eyes, wide and glassy, staring at you with some form of desperation. Brows furrowed, gaze soft.
And his gaze only grows worse when you do give him what he wants, when your pace fastens.
Itâs a religious experience, like heâs about to be crucified, a martyr to his pleasure. Heâs almost afraid to touch youâ to stain something divine, like youâre too much for him. But youâre not.
âI like this. Like you. Like you here. Youâre so good for me,â he murmurs, and itâs untruthful, but right now, he sincerely believes it. âso good, so perfect, all I need, pleaseââ
âStop it.â you bite, preferring him defiant over thisâ because this opens up wounds you werenât even aware existed. âOh fuck, stop it.â
âSo good. Youâre so good,â he cups your face, presses his forehead against yours, and you might as well just die right here.
âSays you.â
âSays me.â
You fuck him harder.
âOh,â is all he can pronounce, little ohâs every time you rock against him, and he has to grip you hips, deepen the movements until youâre bouncing against him, up down up down, exploiting his sensitivity with a torturous pace.
And itâs not fair, he needs to balance the scales, so he runs his thumb over your clit, firm halos that have you keening. âIf being nice got me this, Iâd be so nice to you for the rest of my lifeââ
Another lie. But itâs worth it. If only for the way you kiss him. The way you silence his cutting words, forcing your way into his mouth, forcing him to just squirm and sob, until youâre clenching around him, and heâs there with you. Falling apart, bodies shifting until movement ceases, and thereâs nothing but bliss.
âI hate you so much,â you say in the aftermath, and itâs closest youâve ever gotten to a confession of love.
He laughs, wipes away tears, âHate you more.â
âDonât leave this time.â he just nods, bordering on nonverbal now. It takes you hours to coax actual words out of him, and by then, youâre both tangled in a foreign mess of warm limbs.
âOh iâm going to be so mean tomorrow.â you mutter, playing loosely with his hair.
He can only sigh, stare at you dreamily. âGod, is that a promise?â

A Little Arson as a Treat
Logan Sargeant x protective!Reader
Summary: after news that Williams has dropped Logan mid-way through the season comes out, you decide that revenge is best served hot
Warnings: they literally set James Vowlesâ house on fire
âYou think theyâll be able to tell it was us?â
Loganâs voice is shaky, his eyes locked on the flickering flames dancing up the side of James Vowlesâ house. The orange glow reflects in his wide eyes, making him look like a boy who just realized heâs in way over his head. His hands are buried deep in his jacket pockets, and you can see the nervous twitch of his fingers beneath the fabric.
You snort, not taking your eyes off the fire. âNo way. Theyâll think it was an electrical fault or something. We were careful.â
âWe werenât that careful,â he murmurs, almost to himself, biting his lip. âThis is ... this is insane.â
âMaybe,â you admit, leaning a little closer to him, feeling the coolness of the night brushing against your skin in contrast to the heat radiating from the fire. âBut what were we supposed to do? Just sit back and let them throw you out? Nine races left, and they think they can just-â
Logan cuts you off, his voice tight with emotion. âItâs not just the races. Itâs everything. Itâs like ... theyâre saying Iâm not good enough, that I never was.â
You turn to face him, your heart squeezing in your chest. Heâs not looking at you, his eyes fixed on the fire like itâs the only thing keeping him grounded. âLogan, thatâs bullshit, and you know it. You are good enough. Theyâre just too blind to see it.â
âAm I, though?â He finally meets your gaze, and you can see the doubt etched into every line of his face. âI mean, if I was, they wouldnât be dropping me, right?â
You sigh, frustration bubbling up inside you. âThis isnât about your talent. This is about politics, money, and a bunch of old men who canât see past their spreadsheets. You know that.â
Heâs silent for a moment, just watching the flames as they start to consume the upper floor. âSo, we burn down his house?â
You shrug, a small, defiant smile playing on your lips. âSometimes youâve got to make a statement.â
Logan shakes his head, a disbelieving laugh escaping him. âYouâre insane.â
âYou love me for it.â
His eyes soften, the tension in his shoulders easing just a bit. âYeah. I do.â
You reach out, taking his hand in yours. His fingers are cold, trembling slightly as they curl around yours. âWeâre gonna get through this, okay? Youâre not done. Not even close.â
âTell that to the team that just replaced me with a kid from F2,â he mutters, but thereâs less bite in his words now, more weariness than anger.
âTheyâll regret it,â you say firmly. âTheyâll be watching from the back of the grid while youâre out there somewhere proving them wrong.â
âAnd if I donât?â His voice is so quiet you almost donât hear him.
âYou will.â
He looks at you like heâs trying to absorb your confidence, to borrow just a little of the fire that keeps you burning so brightly. âHow can you be so sure?â
âBecause I know you,â you say simply, squeezing his hand. âAnd I know that youâre going to fight like hell to get back on the track. And when you do, theyâll all see what they lost.â
Logan takes a deep breath, nodding slowly. âYou always know what to say, donât you?â
âOnly because Iâm right.â
He laughs again, a real laugh this time, and it warms you more than the fire ever could. âYouâre unbelievable.â
âUnbelievable enough to commit a little arson as a treat?â You tease, nudging him lightly.
His smile fades a little, and he looks back at the house, the flames now licking at the roof. âYou really think weâre going to get away with this?â
You tilt your head, considering. âEven if we donât, what are they going to do? Kick you off the team youâre already off of? Weâve got nothing to lose.â
âIâve got you to lose,â he says softly, his grip on your hand tightening.
Your heart skips a beat, and you swallow hard. âYou wonât lose me. Ever.â
He turns to you fully now, the fire forgotten, his eyes searching yours. âPromise?â
âPromise.â
For a moment, the world shrinks down to just the two of you, standing together in the night, hands clasped, hearts beating in time. The fire is a distant roar in the background, a symbol of the chaos thatâs been following you both for weeks, but itâs nothing compared to the storm inside Logan, the one youâre trying so hard to calm.
âSo,â he says, his voice a little lighter, âwhatâs the plan? We just walk away?â
âPretty much,â you reply, a smirk tugging at your lips. âUnless youâve got a better idea.â
He hesitates, glancing back at the house one last time. âNo ... I guess thatâs all we can do.â
âGood. Because Iâm starving, and Iâm thinking burgers.â
Logan blinks, caught off guard by the sudden shift. âBurgers? We just committed a felony, and you want to go get burgers?â
âDonât you?â
He stares at you, then shakes his head with a disbelieving grin. âYouâre insane.â
âIâm hungry. Big difference.â
Logan chuckles, the tension in his shoulders finally easing as he lets out a long breath. âYouâre impossible.â
âAnd you love me for it.â
âYeah,â he agrees, squeezing your hand again. âI really do.â
You smile, pulling him away from the sight of the burning house, guiding him down the street like itâs just any other night and youâre just two people out for a walk. âCome on, thereâs a place a few blocks over that makes the best burgers.â
Logan falls into step beside you, the smell of smoke fading as you put more distance between yourselves and the scene of the crime. âIâm still on a diet plan, you know. Think theyâll have something that fits?â
âProbably not,â you admit with a grin. âBut Iâm sure we can figure it out.â
He laughs again, a sound that makes your heart swell. âYouâre seriously insane.â
âMaybe. But you love me for it.â
He shakes his head, his smile softening into something more tender. âYeah. I do.â
As you walk together, hand in hand, you can feel the weight lifting off Loganâs shoulders. Itâs not gone entirely â it wonât be, not for a long time â but for now, in this moment, itâs lighter. And thatâs enough.
âSo, what do we do after the burgers?â He asks, his voice casual but laced with something deeper, something that says heâs already thinking about the future, about what comes next.
âAfter the burgers,â you repeat, pretending to think it over. âWe find a way to get you back on that track.â
Logan glances at you, surprised. âYouâre not giving up, are you?â
âNever,â you say firmly. âThis is just the beginning. Weâre going to prove them wrong.â
Heâs silent for a moment, then nods. âOkay. Whatâs the plan?â
âFirst, we get you back in a car. Then, we show them what theyâre missing.â
âAnd how do we do that?â
You smile, squeezing his hand. âOne step at a time. Weâll figure it out.â
He looks at you like heâs trying to memorize this moment, to hold onto it for as long as he can. âI donât deserve you.â
âDonât be stupid. You deserve everything.â
He smiles, but thereâs a hint of sadness in it, like heâs not quite sure he believes you. âI just ... I donât want to let you down.â
âYou wonât,â you say, your voice soft but certain. âYou never have.â
Logan doesnât respond, just pulls you closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders as you walk. The night is quiet now, the fire just a faint glow in the distance, and for the first time in what feels like forever, thereâs a sense of peace between you.
âBurgers sound good,â he says after a while, his voice warm and content.
âYeah?â You ask, looking up at him.
âYeah. And then maybe we can figure out that plan of yours.â
You grin. âDeal.â
As you walk, the world around you fades away, leaving just the two of you, together against the odds, against the world. And in that moment, you know that no matter what happens next, youâll face it together.
The fire is behind you, but the real battle is just beginning. And as long as you have each other, you know you can win.

Puppy Dog Eyes
Pairing: William Miller x Female Reader
Summary: Will feels betrayed by someone he thought was his ally.
Word Count: Over 1k
Warnings: Fluff, humor, established relationship, talk of threats and interrogation, slight feels (it's me, okay?), William Miller (he's a warning, okay?).
A/N: Inspired by this post @ghotifishreads tagged me in. â¤ď¸ Not beta read and written on my phone, so any and all mistakes are my own. Please follow @navybrat817-sideblog for new fics and notifications. Comments, reblogs, feedback are loved and appreciated!
Will counted the seconds in his mind as he stared his adversary down. Someone he should've considered an ally. Maybe even a friend. But now? He didn't recognize the beast in front of him.
He was used to people playing dirty behind enemy lines, but this? Betrayal in familiar territory? The sting was like a bullet to the gut.
âBefore you test my resolve, I want you to know that I have forty three confirmed kills.â
A huff was the only reply he got.
Crouching down so he was at eye level, he huffed, too. His enemy was much smaller in size, but looks could be deceiving. âNow, Iâm not going to hurt you. It wouldn't do either of us any good,â he said, tapping a finger against his thigh. âI just want to know why.â
He didn't get an answer. Only a defiant stare. The silent treatment. That was fine. Nothing he hadn't faced before. He had ways to make enemies talk if it came to that. And the puppy dog eyes wouldn't garner sympathy from him.
Battle had hardened him too much for that.
Shut down. Control. Manipulate. Thatâs what he did with his human instincts until he completed his mission.
Will continued the staring contest until the smaller one whined. It wasn't an answer, but it was a start. âYou made this personal, you know. And Iâll throw you out in the rain if you push your luck,â he threatened, tilting his head to maintain eye contact. âNo. You don't get to look away. Not after what you did. After I took you into my home.â
And how did he repay him?
âHoney?â
Your voice pulled Willâs attention away from the task at hand. âYeah, baby?â
You leaned against the doorway, a smile tugging at your kissable lips. âAre you interrogating Bandit?â
Bandit, the puppy Benny got weeks ago. The puppy you offered to watch since his brother was going out of town for a few days and he didn't want to board him. The same little rascal who chewed up a pair of tennis shoes. New tennis shoes.
And hadn't touched a single one of his chew toys.
Will nodded to his ruined shoes. âYou saw what he did.â
âI did and I'm sorry,â you said, though you had no reason to apologize. It wasn't like you chewed them up. âHeâs a puppy and theyâre going to do those kinds of things from time to time. Is it really worthy of an interrogation?â
âYes, it is.â Bandit swung his head toward you and whimpered. âNo, donât you-â
âAww. Is the former Captain bothering you?â You walked over and scooped him into your arms. The light golden puppy snuggled close, but looked at Will like he was taunting him. You had a soft spot for dogs and Bandit sensed that. Used it to his advantage.
âTaking his side?â
âIâm always on your side, Will,â you said, softening his resolve. âNow, Bandit, you know you aren't supposed to do that. Play with your toys, not shoes. Okay?â
Bandit barked. He actually barked for you. How did you do that?
âAnd apologize to Will,â you urged.
He barked again.
âGood boy,â you smiled as Will stood up and crossed his arms. âAnd don't worry, we won't throw you out in the rain.â
âI still might just to teach him a lesson,â Will half teased. âOr I can just put him in his cage.â
Bandit whined and hid his face. âDonât you dare. Heâs a puppy, not a soldier. And you were happy with watching him until now. Besides, he said he was sorry,â you said, giving Will your own set of puppy dog eyes.
You had a point. Bandit was a pretty well-behaved puppy, all things considered. He didn't bite. Didn't make a mess when he ate. Went to the door when he had to go outside. And he seemed content to sleep in his dog bed and didn't demand to sleep with the two of you.
âFine. No cage,â he relented.
âThank you. And Iâm sure Benny will buy you a new pair of shoes once he gets back,â you added.
âMaybe,â he said. He wouldn't hold his breath to get new shoes or money for the damage done. He may be Bennyâs big brother, but Benny adored his puppy and would likely blame him for leaving them out in the first place. He had a routine though. He put his shoes in the same spot after he exercised.
To be fair, he should've been more careful. He would be in the future. If anything, he could try to see the positive side of things and use this as a learning experience. That's what you tried to do when you ran into unfortunate situations.
âIs it a bad time to suggest we get our own puppy?â You asked, smiling as you lifted Bandit up higher and put his cheek against yours. âChewed up shoes and a scratched up couch aside, it might be nice.â
Dogs did make for great companions. Heâd be lying if he said he hadn't pictured the two of you having a kid and a dog for them to grow up with. Someone who would be a friend to and watch over his child.
âWhat do you think?â You smiled when he stayed quiet for too long.
He softly smiled. Most people couldn't sway him to do anything, but you had a way about you. Maybe it was because he loved you. âIâll think about it.â
You put Bandit down before you leaned in and brushed your lips against Willâs. âThank you.â
He went in for another kiss, but stopped when the words fully registered. âWait.â He narrowed his eyes. âDid you say scratched up couch?â
â...Did I say that? I don't recall.â
âI remember everything youâve ever said to me,â he told you.
You put a hand over your heart. âThat is so romantic.â
âAnd you said âchewed up shoes and a scratched up couch aside, it might be niceâ, so what exactly did he do to our couch?â
Your eyes widened as you took a step back. âRun, Bandit!â
And he did.
I couldn't help myself. Love and thanks for reading! â¤ď¸

we all love our gagged whumpees, but the way im automatically won over is when the tiny process of whumpee being gagged is described in very careful detail.
pushing the tangled hair out of their face so you can slide the straps under it. maybe it's coated with sweat.
if whumpee is defiant, i love seeing how they toss their head back and how you have to force their mouth open. maybe they bite a few times? very annoying for whumper. but shoving their head back towards you, gripping onto their hair and telling them to cut that shit out...ooh, that's fun.
obedient whumpees are just as fun because they'll just open up for whumper. stick that pretty tongue out and remain still as you clip it behind their head. maybe you can even stroke their hair a little. throw in a 'good boy/girl' for good measure đđđ
then theres the look!! i wanna know what they eyes are doing!! are they glaring straight ahead to avoid looking at whumper, or shooting daggers at them anyway? do they stare at the ground? or is it all listless if they've done this many times before?
and when you're done... i wanna know the result. what kind of gag is it (personally im a sucker for open-mouth) and how does it make em look? are they drooling already? what does whumper have to say about this?
i dont care how unnecessarily long you think you made your gagging scene, we're whump writers we're all here to indulge!! give your whumpee's mouths some love đŤśđŤś
#this is not a complaint i just wanted to rant a little abt it#if ur a whump writer and you do this... i love you#1000 kissies to you#my words#whump prompt#gagged whumpee#defiant whumpee

âDo your very best not to screamââ Hawks mumbled, pressing his face between your legs- your voice caught in your throat as he licked a fat stripe over your clit... âYour body reacts so good to me...â he hummed, sucking the sensitive nub deeper into his mouth.
ft. Hawks centered, Hawks x reader, Slight! Bakugo x reader, Slight! Dabi x reader (in future chaps)
Hawks x UA Student! Reader (Part 11)
-
Warning tag: obsessed! Hawks, possessive! Hawks, naive! student reader, violation of trust, dubious consent, mating cycles, rut response, obsessive behavior, uncontrollable thirst for reader, manipulation, forced, thigh riding, hormonal minds out of control, sexual content, first time, cock riding, teenage fuck, Dabi's toxically interested in you, Bakugo bestie yet secretly inlove wit you, love confessions, cock-drunk, Hawks trying to be good but failing miserably, gaslighting, HEAVY plot, lots of smut.
-
âPlease just call me Hawks,â he kept insisting with a winning smile over his lips. Your mother giggled cutely while your father just grinned, and Toji exclaimed loudly.Â
âHawks!â
Everyone laughed. You would have too, if you werenât so worried about the Heroâs secret intentions. You couldnât move your legs, they were glued to the chair and consequently, you were anchored to your seat. Â
âSuch a good boy.â Hawks nodded with a soft smile, ruffling Tojiâs soft hair with one hand, while with the other caressed your thigh, up and down in slow motions, applying a deliriously satisfying pressure with his fingertips. The bastard could be a professional masseuse if the Hero career failed him. Your eyes were about to roll backâ
âI'm so relieved nothing happened to you in the Nomu attack, sweetie... But Bakugo usually walks with you after school-" Your sweet mother mentioned with a bit of concern in her voice, since Bakugoâs mother was her best friend, "...Did you quarrel?"Â Â
Your mother felt the need to inquire about one of your closest childhood friends, and you immediately felt the palm on your thigh stop, abruptly. Â
Hawks slowly tilted his head, his eyes flickered over to you, all his attention focused on the next words that would come out of your mouth.Â
"Ehhh... No-o, mom... Luckily, he stayed up late training with the others," you explained, your voice turning soft and almost too affectionate at the mention of the aforementioned. "If I had been with Bakugo without a doubt nothing would have happened to me, that fool would have prioritized my safety instead of his-"Â
âIs this Bakugo your boyfriend?" Â
The question came out soft and playful, raising no suspicion, but his hand squeezing your thigh said otherwise. It was possessive, intentional, and dare you say, awfully jealous.Â
Your mother chuckled behind her hand and shook her head. "Bakugo sure would make an interesting boyfriend, wouldn't he, sweetie?"Â
âHe's her best friend, mom says they're going to end up getting married." Toji assured, repeating the words he used to hear from his mother, and you deadpanned, exclaiming.Â
âToji!âÂ
Suddenly the fingers resting over your thigh began to move again, walking their way up your soft skin. Secretly and deliberately slipping under the fabric of your shorts, your whole body went rigid as Hawks lazily tapped his lips with the index of his free hand, resting his head on his knuckles as he watched you curiously, something disturbingly defiant in those golden eyes.
âAre we talking about Katsuki Bakugo, the winner of last yearâs sports festival?â Hawks mused, and Toji nodded his little head eagerly before spat. âItâs the explosion boy.â
Your mother giggled at the nickname, and Hawks grinned, sharp stare set on you.Â
âOh right, now I remember him⌠He was also the kid who was kidnapped by the league of villainsââÂ
âSuch an unfortunate event, Mitsuki was so worried-...â your mother remembered, âThankfully, he was rescued on time and without any damageâŚ. Unfortunately, it was by certain, little young lady and her overly heroic friendsââÂ
You blushed hard. Your mother would never let you forget that, it was an open secret that you would have preferred her not to mention right now.
âSuch a daredevil,â Hawks shared with dull eyes, yet sounding highly amused, âIâll have to have both eyes on you to keep you safeâŚâ and away from this kid. He didnât have to say it, but his fingers digging between your legs was loud enough.Â
Your hands squeezing the edge of the table could easily be mistaken for teenage embarrassment, but it was actually your way of suppressing any lewd sound. Hawksâ fingers rested on top of your cotton panties, not even the fabric in-between dissuading him from work the pad of his thumb in a lazy, torturous circular motion over your bundle of nerves, one single knuckle tracing your slit over the fabric, up and down, but never overstepping his welcome.
âYouâll need more than two eyes, Mr. Hawks.â Your father joked, and they chuckled. Â
Finally, the topic was monopolized again by another question-and-answer session, Takami Keigo was a real devil, no matter how much you tightened your thighs around his hand, you only pushed him to continue. Your lower lip was about to split between your teeth, as his fingers kept caressing you, masturbating you, trying to arouse your young body, wanted to break you to then mold you around him- but that was something he would never admit out loud.
ââSweetie, youâre shaking, and your cheeks are so redâŚâ Your mother warned, leaning from her chair to touch your feverish forehead, â-are you feeling sick?â Â
This stopped Keigo momentarily, but the clever bastard was too keen to be deprived of his fun. Retrieving his intrusive hand from between your legs, you felt relieve wash over you, until from the corner of your eye, you saw a crimson feather plucking itself from his wings and as if had life of its own, went under the table to then dip under your panties. Like a soft, feathery patch covered your clit-âŚ. and you could barely blink fast enough to disguise your eyes crossing when it started to vibrate.Â
Fuck Takami Keigo and his wickedness! This was way too much, the vibration was shaking every nerve terminal on your skin, turning you into a mass of heat and disorientation.
âDo not be alarmed ma'am, it is totally normal after a traumatic event-...,â Hawks cooed, in a calm almost silky tone, reaching up his hand to stroke your cheek, brotherly. You knew better. âOur young heroin is comingââ he made a long pause to gauge your reaction, which actually was delicious to watch. Your eyes popped open with so much embarrassment, he almost had a fit of laughter, but knowing he might be overstepping your limits, continued, ââto become a Pro Hero.â Hawks grinned at your worried mother, stealing her precious attention to himself without even trying, âlittle by little these attacks will be a thing of the past, and slowly shock will fade faster.â
âIâm fine-e, mo-mommyââŚâ your best attempt of speaking was laughable, yet something in the childish way your voice came out, enticed the winged hero.
âEverything was delicious, especially the company,â Takami Keigo announced charmingly, as if his feather wasn't playing a symphony over your clit, âI hope you donât mind but I took the liberty of ordering a special dessert, as my way of thank you for such a wonderful evening.â Hawks said, stealing the attention and your parents immediately told him that it was not necessary.
âOh please, I really donât mindââÂ
The doorbell interrupted him, the order had arrived and before he could even attempt to get up, your parents insisted on going. Â
âOh, thank you very much, you spoil me too much.â The blond said, seeing from the corner of his eye their silhouettes walking away towards the front door. Granting him the privacy that he longed for, and probably, unknowingly you needed as well.
âHey, Toji. I forgot my visor in your sisterâs room, do you mind go up and bring it to me?âÂ
âSure!â without delay, the little boy sprang out of his chair, running upstairs. âIâm on a mission-â Toji said, playfully. âYou can trust me, Hawks, I wonât take long!â The boy promised, overly excited, to which the hero absentmindedly replied, âI trust you, young hero, take your time⌠Iâll tried to do the same.â
A shiver ran down your spine at the way he was looking at you, it was predatorily intimidating. Â
âYou hadn't mentioned this Bakugo boy to me,â he said, increasing the vibration on the feather against your clit one last time to see you get closer to the edge, your mouth opened wide and your brow wrinkled, you were so close....so close....when he stopped all together and waited, ââŚSo, should I be worriedâor not?â
An almost annoyed whine slipped across your lips but it was too brief to call it a conscious thing. You took the break to fill your lungs with oxygen, finally being able to gasp without an audience, a bead of sweat rolled down your forehead. You hadnât orgasmed but you were too damn close, you still felt the vestiges of the phantom vibration shake your nerve endings. Your gaze narrowed at him, and Keigo didn't like it at all. Â
Who did he think he was to demand an answer from you? You thought angry, no matter how much he repeated it, you weren't his mate.
âLeave Bakugo out of this, you psycho.â  You managed to spat between gasps. You shouldnât have, not when he was being sting so rabidly by the prick of jealousy. His nose wrinkled in disgust, and you realized too late that you still were way too far from being able to read him, properly. Â
âFine.â Hawks, said placidly, âIâll leave him out⌠of your fucking mind for good. I can do thatââ
There was no warning and according to you there wasnât time either, but that didnât stop him from standing up. The suddenness of the motion startled you, but it was when he slipped under the table, that you fretted -how the hell did he fit with everything and wings was a mystery to you- but he was creative, so he managed.
âWhat-What are you doing?â your voice shook way too much for your liking.Â
âNot gonna hurt you, baby bird.â His voice came from under the table as his hands tugged at the waistband of your shorts, and you let loose a choked scream, kicking as hard as you could, but it only gave him an opening to nestle himself between your legs. There he slipped your garments by your thighs until pulled around your ankles, nimbly hiked your knees over his shoulders for accessibility, -bumping one of your knees against the wooden table- and saying a sheepish sorry when heard you wail, openly ignored your concerns about be found out. Softly shushing you, trying to calm your unrelenting panic as you scrambled to get away from him.
âDo your very best not to screamââ he mumbled, pressing his face between your legs- your voice caught in your throat as he licked a fat stripe from your perineum to your clit where he formed a vacuum with his lips and wholeheartedly sucked, at the already sensitive bundle of nerves. Quaking your whole frame with the act.Â
âYour body reacts so good to me...â he hummed, sucking the sensitive nub deeper into his mouth while buzzing his lips, sending goosebumps up your tummy. Your hands whipped at his hair, golden locks between your fingers as you tugged trying to deter him.Â
âMY good girlâkeep going⌠those little fingers feel SO good!â He praised, apparently Hawks liked it rough, and not just taking it but giving it, as well.Â
The Hero flicked his tongue sucking harder, it was bruising your ego how good it felt, your eyes rolled back almost automatically- youâd never felt anything quite like it before. It was bizarre- too warm and wet- his tongue felt like texturized silk, so dutiful to its task, your thighs shivered on either side of his head.Â
âI bet Bakugo has no freaking idea how to eat you properly, but to use everyoneâs favorite heroâs motto⌠âIt's fine now. Do you know why? Because I am here!ââÂ
You heard Hawks imitate All Might from under the table, his own laughter sending glorious vibrations deep into your responsive core and feeling your body relaxing even a thad, he brought two thick fingers up to your entrance, slipping them inside, carefully. Rejoicing in the way your back arched, and your fight began to fade away, fat tears pricking at the corner of your eyes but never down your cheeks.Â
All your biting and hurtful comments died on your semi-opened lips the second you felt an unfamiliar tightening twist your stomach, you were getting embarrassingly wetter than you already were. The vulgar slurping sounds that came from under the table were proof enough, your juices slid down his chin and your thighs in a sinful combination.  You couldnât stop your hips from grinding up against his grateful face, as you couldnât stop him from giving soft but devastating little bites to your swollen clit. Your world crumbling apart under his professional and slick mouth.
âHawks-sâŚIâm sorry, please-e stoooooopâŚTheyâll be back soonâAhhhhh! I beg you.â You reduced to plead to deaf ears, Hawks was absolutely fucking gone -moaning against you, as he hauled you closer as if that was even possible. He was fucking getting off on this.... on you, your choked moans and trembling thighs.... the sick fucking bastard wanted to ruin you for men.Â
His head pulled up, but his fingers kept pumping. Those golden pools of lust stare up at you from his kneeling position, so you could see him grind his lips against your hot, convulsing coreâ and having hero number two of the whole country like that⌠on his knees lapping at your pussyâŚ. just made you lose it. Out of your control, you squeezed your thighs together, trapping him there. Hawks didn't mind.
âMmmmmmâ baby bird.â He sounded enthralled, âthis is the kind of dessert I want for the rest of my fucking lifeâŚ.â he mumbled between mouthfuls of your sweet cunt, you have never ever been this driven, this livid. A mix of fear and excitement that spiked your blood pressure. â-Let a real man work you properlyâŚ. Iâll make sure you forget your own name, right away.â
Both his palms were pinned to each side of your thighs hauling you closer to his face, smothering himself against your pussy. You could only glimpse his mop of golden locks between your open legs. It was futile to push him away, he was grounded to you. So, your hands went to your mouth to prevent the sultry noise.Â
You were fucking close, almost there⌠Godammit! It hadnât even been three minutes and you already felt the anticipatory orgasmic sensation defining every fiber of your being, your whole body felt like running on electricity. Â
âYou know what to do to help me speed up, baby birdâŚâ Hawks hummed against your folds, a wave of unbridled pleasure washing over your body as you shivered under his grasp, âIâm such a big fan of my name in your sweet voiceâ"
âKe-Keigo, ahhhh!â you push yourself to mewl for him,â KeigoâTakami Keigo~â you blasted, hunting for the oncoming orgasm, and Keigo buzzed his fingers against that meaningful spot inside of you that made you see white. Making you cum, hard and pretty, all over his mouth.Â
Your legs shook violently on each side of his head, and he continued to lick, his tongue hot and strong against your weak and overstimulated clit. Your, breathing a true mess. Hawks still smashing his lips against the inner skin of your thighs while you could already hear the small steps of your little brother returning from his quest.
âPle-Please....Keigo, p-pleaseâŚâ you pleaded brokenly, blinking numbly, still lost in the post-orgasmic sensation, worriedly waiting for chaos to unleash again. You refused to open your eyes as you felt him redress you, without a fucking hurry. Damn this man!Â
âHere you go, Hawks!â Toji exclaimed, feeling proud of his feat, âDid I took long?â the little one asked, handing the visor to the Hero who was now sitting next to you, in his own chair, fresh as a lettuce and without a hair out of place, as if nothing, whereas your gummy walls were still fluttering around nothing, post-orgasmic shivers ruling your whole body and, Hawks seemed unfazed, almost at ease.Â
âThank you, peanut.â Hawks said, using your cute nickname for him. One glance from his eyes was enough for you to know, he wasnât done.Â
âNow tell me, do you like this Bakugo guy?â he asked pulling the boy onto his lap and putting the visor on him, ââheâs loud, like very loud and always looks angry, but I like him.â The little boy admitted, playing with the visor happily, â⌠do you prefer him or me?â Keigo asked innocently, Toji, not suspecting due to his young age replied without even hesitating, âHawks! A thousand times!âÂ
âHawks, a thousand times,â the blond repeated, tilting his head to the side to look at you, â-Kids donât lie, you should listen, baby bird.â
Seconds later your parents appeared each carrying a box of desserts in their hands, a big, embarrassed smile on your motherâs face. Â
âYou really shouldnât have bothered, Mr. HawksâŚâÂ
âI really donât mind, something sweet always helps to complement a great dinner.â  Hawks stated, glancing at you, big cheeky smile on his glossy lips before ask. âDonâtcha agree, (Y/N)?âÂ
With all eyes on you, your head moved up and down, in a forced nod. Â
âYey~ then let's dig in.â Hawks cheered, offering the pastries to your family, and placing a peanut-butter one on your plate, âMaybe something salty for you⌠Since you already are sweet enough.â He licked his lips, and you knew what he really meant.Â
God! How you hated how pleased your parents looked, Hawks seriously managed to fool them, so much so that when he offered to take you to the UA dorm at a late hour of the night, they didnât even hesitate.
âDonât forget to send us a message once you arrive,â Your mother hugged you at the door, âthank you for paying us a visit, sweetie. We love you, and..... thank you very much for dining with us, Mr. Hawks." Your parents bowed respectfully, and the Hero did the same, "it was my pleasure, I really love home cooking⌠thank you for having me at such short noticeââÂ
"We'd love for you to visit us again, if you find time on your Hero schedule-" Your mother said, looking at you for support.
"Hawks is number two hero in the country, mom, he barely has timeââÂ
"I would love to, if you'll have me," The blond quickly intervened, and your father agreed, shaking his hand, "... sounds good to us."
"Yei!" Toji screamed excitedly at the possibility of having Hawks for dinner again, and rushing to the Hero, hugged him, pulling at the fabric of his pants for him to crouch down to his level, which of course, he did.
"You are the coolest, Hawks. I love you." The little boy whispered in his ear as he hugged him tight and you felt your heart break, if Toji ever found out what this hero was really like he would surely lose all faith in them. It was your duty as his big sister, protect him⌠and pretend.
"Time to go peanut, give me just as big a hug and next time maybe Hawks will take you surf the sky."
Toji cheered at this, hugging you equally tight and you could glimpse unrequested hope on Keigo's gaze, so much hope it actually made you feel bad for him.Â
The last thing you wanted to do was be near Keigo right now, let alone in his arms and even worse at high altitude, but there was no choice as the subway was already closed.Â
The air felt cool against your face, but Hawks had insisted you wear his visor, so at least didnât hurt your eyes.Â
"I hope you had your fun," you suddenly spat, trying to make the situation clear, despite having said otherwise in front of your family, "this will never, ever happen againââ
âHow long do you think youâll need?â Hawks asked, out of the sudden, openly ignoring your recent warning and you looked up at him as if he were speaking other language. âYou said you needed timeâŚ. So, how much time do you need?âÂ
Fuck! He remembered, of course, he did. He was delusional with this rut thing.Â
Sighing loudly, went silent âtill you spat. âLike a LOT.â
âGive me a time lapseââŚ. âA lotâ is invalid for me.â He murmured, staring at you from those golden pearls he called eyes. âPerhaps, a weekend?âÂ
ââMore like a year.âÂ
He shook his head, leaning closer to bump his forehead against yours, playfully. âHow about a week, baby bird?âÂ
You denied. âAt least eight monthsââÂ
âOne month.â Hawks said without room for discussion. âIt's as long as Iâll be able toâŚ.â
You hated when he bit back important intel, so you pushed for the end of that sentence. â⌠youâll be able to what?âÂ
âOne month is more than enough, baby bird, be thankful and let it be.â He advised, refusing to end his line of thought, and refusing to acknowledge your glare as well. His gaze set on the vast blackened sky.Â
âWHY you always have toââÂ
âPlease donât!â Hawks warned, âIf I feel you in distress my instinct will immediately set offâŚ... Iâll be unable to control myself now that I know I have to leave you-âŚyou are not a stranger to that scenario,â he sounded remorseful, almost annoyed. âSo, a month it is.â
He insisted and you pursed your lips, vastly frustrated. You didnât want him to fuck your brains out on the next available alleyway, but you didnât want to obey him either.Â
âIs there any other option available, apart from rape or domestication?â Your anger was evident.Â
âNot right now. I believe later onâŚ. But not-not right now.â He sighed, not liking how angry you looked. âIâm sorrââÂ
âSave it, I donât want it.â
For the first time, he actually listened to you, you finished surfing through the sky in silence, once outside of the UA dorms he lowered you until your feet touched the ground and without giving him nothing close to a proper goodbye, you ran away.
Just a kiss on the cheek, if you wanted just a peck on the forehead, or perhaps, an uncomfortable hug, he could even settle with a handshakeâŚ. But no, nothing of the sort. His own mate denied him any kind of affection. Leaving him standing there, alone.Â
Keigo had to fight all his instincts when saw you getting away, without even sparing him a last glance, as you approached the tall building, he tensed when the door opened.Â
His fists clenched as did his jaw as a familiar face greeted you, wrapping you in his strong arms at once, his scolding could be heard as far as he stood, no doubt he was loud, very loudâŚ...that Katsuki Bakugo was the loudest motherfucker he had ever encounter. So worried about your well-being that he didnât even scan the horizon, he just hauled you inside and locked the door behind.Â
Hawks felt his blood boil, his beloved mate in another manâs arms⌠He should go in and relieve his head from his neckâ
Until the present day, Hawks doesnât know whether to call it luck or bad luck when Kurogiriâs sudden appearance, startled him. Distracting him enough to made him feel something else apart from murderous separation anxiety.Â
The elegant dark purple mist greeted him politely.
âGood evening, Mr. Hawks,â the Villain made a courteous bow, âI am pleased to inform you that the League of Villains has decided to give you a trial period.â His glowing yellow eyes stared at him with calm numbness, to which Hawks coming out of shock, replied with rehearsed coolness.
âIâm glad! I was really worried they wouldnât take me seriouslyââ he grinned, scratching the back of his head to play the harmless fool. âShesh! Iâm relieved.â
âIt pleases me to hear that, itâs good to know that we could have another villain ally in such a renowned Hero.â Kurogiri stated very formal, ââBy the way, this is a gift from the League, a souvenir if you prefer,â the villain handed him a yellow envelope, and placidly waited for him to open it.Â
âO-Oh, nice...â Hawks took it with slight hesitation, â-you didnât have to botherâŚâ He said trying to sound grateful instead of perplexed, but his eyes threw his entire act through the window, almost bulging out of his sockets when looked at the content inside.Â
His breath hitched, wings bristled, and those relaxed eyebrows knitted together in suppressed wrath. Hawks previously cheerful golden eyes turned sharp and menacing at reading,Â
âYours trulyâ
ââIs this Dabiâs doing?â the winged hero growled through clenched teeth, to which Kurogiri just smiled politely.Â
âWe are everywhere, my fellow Villain. Nothing slips our eyeâŚ. Let alone a villain as promising as you.â

ILOVE YOU MATHEO FANFICS!!! And your Theo ones omg they're so cute and make me smile every time I see them!! Could you do something like this? If you want to of course!
It's like in Brookline nine nine where Jake and Amy have that bet where whoever gets the most arrests by the end of the year get to make the other do whatever they want.
⢠what if Matty boy or Theo (ether is good Matty would be my pick tho! Or if you like the prompt you could do one for each <3 ) and the reader had a bet about who could get the best marks on a test or something like that.
⢠And he wins and they make you go on "the worst date ever"
⢠like Jake made Amy in BNN. But like Jake that's when he realize his feelings for the reader.
Supper fluffy and cute!! Rivals/friends to lovers !
Love ya!!
M.R. || Real love baby
Summary: When a boy pulls a girl's hair, it usually means something more than he actually admits. Warnings: none. A/N: This came out faster than usual because I simply LOVE Jake and Amy. I really hope it met your expectations, I'm delighted with how I was able to construct this text.đŤśđź
Open orders!
The friendship between you and Mattheo has always been a roller coaster of jokes, provocations and, occasionally, a latent feeling of competitiveness. His blood boiled when he mocked every time a teacher caught his attention, and you reciprocated in the same coin, turning each slip of his into a reason for laughter. These exchanges never went unnoticed, and the common room often echoed with the barbs exchanged between the two of you.
What began as childish games, however, now seemed to gain a different meaning. In the sixth year, the provocations were no longer seen as mere mischief. Their friends, who used to watch from afar, began to observe them with insightful eyes, full of insinuations, as if they saw something you had not yet realized. What was once just an exchange of innocent barbs, now seemed to have a background of palpable tension, almost as if there was something else behind the debauched smiles and defiant looks.
You had grown up. And, over time, new interests have emerged. However, the fun of seeing the other angry for any insignificant reason still aroused an almost childish satisfaction in both. The adrenaline of a small triumph, no matter how small it was, was addictive. And, to your surprise, that night in the communal room would seal a new phase of this dynamic between you.
I was sitting with Theodore, discussing his grades from the previous year. Both were always the best in the class, and there was no more fun in competing with each other. Someone who really challenged his abilities was missing, someone from another house, maybe. But before they could continue the conversation, a familiar voice interrupted their thoughts.
- What are you talking about? - Mattheo appeared, sitting on the sofa in front, his curious expression, almost as if he was sniffing the opportunity to get into the conversation.
You sighed, rolling your eyes. I knew he wouldn't miss the chance to participate.
- We were regretting the lack of a competitor to match - said Theodore, with a convinced air that only served to fuel Mattheo's interest.
- Competitor? - Mattheo frowned, looking genuinely confused, before opening a malicious smile. - Oh, this nonsense of those who get the best grades, isn't it? Well, your problems are over, because the opponent you're looking for is right here.
His laugh was automatic and loud. Mattheo's idea as an academic threat seemed, to say the least, absurd. Theodore also let out a discreet laugh, and Mattheo looked at them with a mixture of challenge and frustration.
- Oh, please, Matty, don't make me laugh. - you said between laughs, barely able to catch your breath.
- I'm serious - he replied, his voice getting softer as his eyes met yours. - Come on, are you so afraid of losing to me?
You narrowed your eyes, trying to keep your composure. The game was getting interesting.
- Afraid of you? - you replied, raising your chin with confidence. - You won't even come close to reaching me, Riddle.
A glow of determination appeared in his eyes, and you knew that from that moment on he was committed. But before he could answer, Pansy, who was watching from afar with a mischievous smile, intruded.
- Bet on a date at the end of classes - she suggested, her voice full of malice. - Whoever loses will have to do what the other wants for one night.
You blinked, surprised by the audacity of the suggestion, but before you could protest, Theodore was already agreeing, a sideways smile on his face.
- Great idea - he murmured, clearly having fun with the situation.
Mattheo didn't waste time. He stretched out his hand with a provocative smile.
- Closed. Get ready for the worst date of your life.
Without hesitation, you shook his hand, sealing the agreement. He knew he was getting into a potentially embarrassing situation, but he also trusted that, as much as Mattheo could be merciless in his provocations, he would never do anything to really hurt or humiliate her. It was a bet, yes, but one that came with a layer of mutual trust.
From that day on, your destiny was sealed. The "meeting" was already a reality, all that remained was to define who would dictate the rules. A part of you longed for the challenge, while another, more cautious, began to wonder if you hadn't underestimated Mattheo.
[...]
The weeks that followed showed that you had, in fact, underestimated Mattheo.
In the first days after the bet, you treated the challenge carefree, almost mocking the idea that he could do well. Mattheo was always the type of student who killed classes, glued to the exams and, in the end, counted on the good will of the teachers to pass the year. However, something has changed.
In recent months, teachers' conversations about Mattheo have started to surprise you. They no longer talked about their lack of discipline, but about their potential. They said he was finally showing how smart he was - something that, in fact, you already knew, but that he never made a point of demonstrating.
Mattheo, who used to seem uninterested, now really studied. Their furtive glances and provocations during classes seemed to hide a new, almost disturbing determination. Every time he raised his hand to answer a question or hit a complicated question, you felt the pressure increase. He was, against all expectations, taking it seriously.
And, little by little, you realized that maybe you were facing an opponent much more prepared than you imagined.
The months passed like a gale, each day bringing with it new provocations and challenges. The agreement, which initially seemed like an innocent joke, had turned into a real war of nerves. Both maintained a serious posture in class, but behind this facade, the tension was visible with each exchange of glances. No opportunity was wasted for a sharp comment, and the friends around had already gotten used to the constant clash between you.
The whole year was a fierce dispute, with comparative grades right after each class, always followed by sarcastic laughter and subtle provocations. In the first weeks, you laughed at Mattheo's attempt to keep up, making a point of spreading rumors among the girls who met him in the library. With a mischievous smile on your lips, you whispered:
- They say that Mattheo Riddle is looking for a girlfriend. He's been spending more time in the library than anywhere else, he must be trying to impress someone.
The giggles echoed through the common room, and in a short time, the rumor ran loose through the corridors of Hogwarts. The result? The library, which used to be a place of concentration and silence, became a battlefield. Girls appeared unexpectedly around Mattheo, curious to know if there was any truth in the rumors. He, visibly irritated, cast looks of disapproval in his direction, knowing very well where that chaos had come from.
On the other hand, he didn't leave it cheap. Knowing that his weak point was concentration, Mattheo took revenge in a calculated way. Whenever you isolated yourself in a corner of the library to study in peace, he appeared, casually, and started a loud conversation, talking about the most random and uninteresting subjects, but enough to divert your attention. Not satisfied, he began to launch provocative comments whenever he passed by you, as if he were talking to himself:
- Oh, how I love to see the despair of those who are afraid of losing a bet.
Or even:
- I heard that some people can't study under pressure... what a shame.
Not to mention the colleagues who suddenly came to ask silly questions or break their silence, clearly instigated by Mattheo. You knew he was behind each of these little sabotages. The environment that was once his refuge for study had become unbearable. Wherever you went, it seemed that Mattheo was always there, ready to disrupt his plans.
In the weeks of tests, the tension intensified. The psychological war continued, and now, everyone used their tricks with precision. The librarian had already lost patience with both of you, and more than once you were reprimanded for "disturbing the study environment". But nothing seemed to be able to interrupt the dispute. You were tied, each test being decided by tenths, sometimes with him in front, sometimes with you.
And then, the last test of the year arrived. It was from Feitiços, one of the most challenging subjects and also the one that both knew could seal the fate of the bet. The room was tense that morning, with the students silent, nervous, frantically reviewing their notes. Mattheo sat in the row in front of his, and before the teacher entered, he turned around, throwing a malicious smile in his direction.
- Ready to lose? Should I reserve the night for your punishment? - he whispered, his tone soft, but loaded with provocation.
You raised an eyebrow, returning the smile with a sparkle in your eyes.
- I hope you've already chosen your worst outfit, Riddle. I don't want it to seem like a complete disaster on our "date".
He laughed softly, shaking his head before turning around. The game was about to end, and they both knew it. Every word exchanged, every defiant look, everything had led to that moment.
When the teacher finally came in and distributed the scrolls, the silence in the room became absolute. The sound of feathers sliding on the paper was the only thing that was heard. Each second seemed to last an eternity while you wrote your answers with determination, maximum concentration. There was no room for mistakes.
From time to time, you noticed Mattheo moving in front of you, but refused to look away for more than a second. I knew that any distraction now could be expensive. When the test finally came to an end, you let out a sigh of relief. But the tension was still in the air. All that was left was to wait for the result.
In the weeks that followed, the provocations did not stop. Mattheo was confident, always making insinuating comments about what he would do if he won the bet. On the other hand, you kept your posture firm, not showing a shred of nervousness.
- Don't worry, Mattheo. I'm sure you'll love to fulfill your part of the agreement. - you said, without ever letting out the anxiety that grew as the day of the delivery of the notes approached.
When the notes were posted on the board, Mattheo's heart accelerated, but he kept his expression confident. You approached soon after, and when you saw the minimal difference between the notes, your heart sank. Mattheo had won. He had taken the best grade, but by such a small margin that it even seemed like a whim of fate. You, who until then had maintained a calm posture, could not avoid an expression of disbelief.
Next to him, Mattheo let out a loud, triumphant laugh. He looked up, as if he had won a great battle.
- I said! - he exclaimed, drawing the attention of everyone around. - I said I was going to win!
He was not satisfied with the silent victory. No, Mattheo wanted everyone to know that he had won the bet. You closed your eyes for a moment, trying to compose yourself while he turned on his heels, laughing as if he had just won Hogwarts' most desired trophy.
- Oh, I can't wait to see this! - Mattheo provoked, approaching you with a mischievous smile. - I hope you enjoyed losing, because now the night is all mine.
You just rolled your eyes, knowing that he wouldn't miss the chance to make the bet worth every penny. Mattheo wasn't content to just win; he needed to make it a show.
[...]
In the afternoon after Mattheo's victory, he and Theodore walked through the busy streets of the Diagonal Street, in search of the perfect piece for the "date" that Mattheo had planned. The sun was high, and the sound of the conversations of the wizards around filled the air. Mattheo, with a malicious smile on his face, was eager to turn the bet into an embarrassing and memorable situation for you. Theodore, next to him, watched him in silence, waiting for the right moment to pull the conversation that was clearly stuck in Mattheo's mind.
- I think this store will do. - said Mattheo, pointing to a window that displayed a collection of exaggeratedly colorful and extravagant clothes. It was the kind of store that didn't care about following trends, but about being the center of attention. Exactly what he was looking for.
When they entered, the environment was even more absurd than the showcase suggested. There were dresses with giant ruffles, shiny capes and hats that almost touched the ceiling. Mattheo took a quick turn, his eyes dancing between the most ridiculous pieces.
- She'll hate it. - he said, holding a pink dress with golden details and voluminous ruffles. - Perfect!
Theodore, with his arms crossed and an ironic smile, watched as Mattheo looked for more options. He knew his friend was having fun with that, but there was something else. There was always something more when it came to Mattheo and you.
- You know, you're trying too hard for this, don't you think? - Theodore commented, casually, while leaning against the store counter.
Mattheo let out a chuckle, without taking his eyes off his clothes.
- I'm trying hard to make sure she's embarrassed. That was the bet. She knew what she was getting into.
Theodore arched an eyebrow, still watching him carefully. He let Mattheo continue for a few more minutes, before deciding it was time to deepen the conversation.
- Right, right... - Theo said, in a carefree tone. - But... why are you so looking forward to it? I mean, it's just a bet. It seems that you are spending more time and money than you should.
Mattheo stopped for a moment, holding a ridiculous piece of clothing in his hands, but didn't answer immediately. His expression, for a brief moment, showed doubt. He looked at Theo, a little annoyed.
- I just want to make sure she learns not to underestimate a Riddle - he finally replied with a forced smile.
Theodore didn't buy the excuse. He took a few steps, approaching Mattheo, and lowered his voice, in a more serious tone.
- Or you really like her... - Theo shot, bluntly, while watching his friend's reaction.
Mattheo frowned immediately, dropping the dress in a macaw next to him.
- You're delirious, Nott. That has nothing to do with liking her. It's just... fun. A bet, remember?
But Theodore, undisturbed, just shrugged.
- Of course, of course. It's just a bet - he said, with sarcasm in his voice. - But let's think a little... You spent the whole year teasing her, Mattheo. Calling her attention in every possible way. He told girls to talk to her just to annoy her, he did everything to disrupt her studies, and now... he's personally choosing the most ridiculous outfit he can get for this date.
Mattheo turned around, crossing his arms and staring at Theo with a closed expression.
- And what's wrong with that? - he countered, defensively.
Theo took a few more steps, now closer to Mattheo.
- What's up with that? - he repeated, shaking his head with a smile. - You spent hours thinking about it, Mattheo. Hours. For someone who says it's just a bet, you're spending a lot of time on it. That's not just fun, Mattheo. Admitting that won't kill you.
Mattheo clenched his fists for a moment, clearly frustrated with the direction of the conversation. He wanted to deny it. He wanted to laugh at Theodore's face and say that it was absurd. But the words got stuck in the throat.
Theo, realizing his friend's discomfort, gave another accurate blow.
- How much time have you spent thinking about how to provoke her this year? And how many times have you done this because, deep down, you didn't want her to move away? - Theo let out a low laugh and shook his head. - All this, Mattheo, all these provocations... were just an excuse. An excuse to stay close to her, to ensure that she kept noticing you.
Mattheo snorted, trying to ignore the truth in Theodore's words. He took another piece of clothing, trying to divert the focus from the conversation.
- You don't know what you're talking about, Nott - he said, harshly, but his voice didn't have the same firmness as before.
Theo approached again, now with a softer smile.
- I know exactly what I'm talking about. And, deep down, you also know. - He took one last look at the ridiculous dress that Mattheo was holding and sighed, as if he was accepting something inevitable. - But it's okay. Keep pretending it's just a bet. I just hope you realize what's really going on before it's too late.
With that, Theodore walked away, leaving Mattheo alone with his thoughts and the clothes he had chosen. The silence that followed in the store seemed to weigh more than before. Mattheo stood there for a few seconds, staring at the dress in his hands, but his mind was elsewhere. Theo's words reverberated in his head, and for the first time, he wondered if the bet wasn't just an excuse to hide what he felt all the time.
[...]
The next morning, Mattheo seemed to have completely buried Theodore's words. His provocation was the same as always, but maybe with an extra touch of sarcasm. The most ridiculous costume he could find was carefully left at his door, wrapped in an almost solemn way. The box, with a dark green bow, seemed to mock you. Despite knowing exactly what was inside, you spent the day ignoring it, leaving the package untouched next to the door while trying to keep your head busy with anything other than the "date" that would happen later.
The provocations between you continued throughout the day, as if everything was normal. Mattheo seemed to have fun every time their eyes met, and you just rolled your eyes, determined to pretend that nothing would happen. But as the day progressed, reality began to weigh on you. There was no way to avoid it anymore.
When the sun finally set, you knew it was time to face the challenge. With a heavy sigh, he took the wrapping from the door, already feeling the weight of the humiliation that was to come. The contents of the box did not disappoint. The pink dress was a freak, with a huge golden bow that adorned her back, so exaggerated that it looked more like a gift wrapping than a piece of clothing. The voluminous skirt gave the impression that you were ready for an 80s debutante ball, and the boots... Oh, the boots were a monstrosity. Black and worn, with a low and clumsy heel that did not match at all with the rest of the set.
Resigned, you dressed up the best you could. Your hair, at least, was beautiful, and you decided that, if you were going to be ashamed, the least you could do was keep your dignity intact. She went downstairs to the communal room, where some of her friends were already waiting for her, evidently curious to see the disaster that Mattheo had planned.
- This is a nightmare - you grumbled, as you approached, without trying to disguise your frustration. - After that, I can forget about getting any boyfriend.
Pansy laughed softly, covering her mouth with her hand, while Blaise and Theo exchanged complicit glances. Mattheo, who was standing next to the fireplace, couldn't contain a laugh.
- Oh, go, don't be dramatic. - Mattheo said, with a glint of amusement in his eyes. - I guarantee that, after today, you will be the most talked about person in Hogwarts.
You crossed your arms, trying to maintain dignity, although you knew you were already lost.
- Spoken for the wrong reasons, maybe - you replied, your voice loaded with sarcasm.
Mattheo just laughed more, taking a step forward.
- Come on, come down soon. We don't have all night. - He made a theatrical gesture with his hand, indicating that you should come closer.
When you finally came up completely, the muffled laughter began. His friends, no matter how loyal they were, couldn't help it. Pansy and Daphne covered their mouths to try to hide how much fun they were having, while Theo and Blaise watched with the looks of those who knew that it was an unmissable show. But the most surprising was Mattheo's reaction. He stopped for a moment, his lips curving in a smile, but his eyes... Well, his eyes seemed surprised.
Even with all that ridiculous outfit, you could still look beautiful, which clearly disarmed you for a brief second. The dress, as absurd as it was, highlighted the curve of her waist and the delicate features of her face. And, for a thousandth of a second, Mattheo forgot the real goal of the bet.
But he soon recovered, shaking his head and returning to the carefree and provocative attitude.
- Well, well... - he said, crossing his arms and tilting his head to observe you better. - I think a detail is missing.
Before you could ask what he meant, Mattheo took something from behind him and extended it towards him. A track, similar to those of Miss Universe, but with an inscription that made her stomach turn: "Mattheo Riddle is amazing".
You looked at him, incredulous.
- You can only be joking - you murmured, but Mattheo kept smiling, swinging the banner in the air as if it were a prize.
- Come on, you can't miss it. This is part of the agreement. - He insisted, his eyes shining with malice.
- That wasn't in the agreement - you replied, with narrow eyes, but you knew it would be useless to argue.
Mattheo just laughed and extended the band.
- Oh, but it was you who said I could choose whatever I wanted. And now I want everyone to know how amazing I am. - He winked, clearly having fun at the expense of his indignation.
With a sigh, you took the band and reluctantly put it on the dress. It was the height of ridicule, but when he looked at Mattheo, he realized that, as much as he was having fun, there was something more in his eyes. Something beyond provocation.
- Now, make a turn for everyone to see - he ordered, with a mischievous smile.
You rolled your eyes, but turned on your heels, feeling the huge bow hit your back, while the muffled laughter around echoed through the room. Mattheo applauded in an exaggerated way, as if you were at a fashion show.
- Perfect! - he said, laughing, and approached, putting an arm around his shoulders. - And now, let's enjoy this unforgettable night.
And so, you left for TrĂŞs Vassouras, where Mattheo had scheduled everything. The songs, the dances, even the places where they would sit. His friends, of course, went together, ready to watch every second of this show, but, as much as Mattheo's plan was going to embarrass you, the truth was that while you walked next to him, something seemed different. Maybe it was the way he looked at you, or the fact that, as ridiculous as the situation was, you were about to have more fun than you ever imagined.
When you arrived at TrĂŞs Vassouras, the environment was full of life, with laughter and conversations filling the air. But as soon as they passed through the door, the bar seemed to stop for a moment. All eyes turned to you, as if you had just witnessed a scene worthy of a comedy play. Your exaggerated pink dress, with your voluminous skirt and the golden bow on the back, made you look like a clumsy doll. And next to it, Mattheo, dressed in a gigantic tuxedo, with his sleeves and pants folded up in an almost comical way, didn't help improve the situation.
The laughter echoed around, and you felt your face burn with shame. People whispered, pointed and laughed shamelessly. You tried to hide the discomfort, but you felt everyone's gaze as if you were on a stage, exposed in a way you never imagined. Mattheo, on the other hand, seemed impassive, with a malicious smile on his lips as he walked next to him to the table at the back of the bar, completely ignoring the reactions around him.
You cast an angry look at his disproportionate tuxedo, muttering something low.
- That was... a creative choice, at least - you commented, still trying to adapt to the situation.
He shrugged, fixing the exaggerated collar.
- It's all part of the show, princess.
As much as you were angry, you ended up laughing at the situation, especially when the buttery beers arrived. The sweet and creamy drink, as always, brought a little warmth and relief to the discomfort, and before you knew it, your friends were already around, laughing and pulling you to dance.
At first, he hesitated. She was too ridiculous to move, but the lightness of the jokes and the excitement of the night began to weigh more than the embarrassment. Soon, you were in the middle of the track, spinning and laughing with Pansy, Draco and the others. Each sip of buttery beer made the dress look less absurd, and the music helped to forget the looks around. Suddenly, it didn't matter anymore that I was dressed like a party cake. Only the fun and the shared laughter mattered.
While you danced, forgotten about the initial shame, Mattheo, from afar, watched with a different expression. He was leaning against the counter, a beer in his hand, but he barely touched it. Instead, his eyes were fixed on you, the way he moved carefree, laughing and spinning to the sound of the music. He didn't realize the exact moment when he stopped thinking all that was a joke.
Theodore's words, said the day before, echoed in his mind. At that moment, inside the store, he had vehemently denied any feeling. But now, seeing you so at ease, with a genuine smile on your face, the provocations and games seemed distant. All he could do was watch you, as if it was the first time he really noticed how much you enchanted him.
The time they spent provoking each other, the jokes, the competitions... all this was dissolving in Mattheo's mind as he looked at you that night. Theodore was right, he noticed. Maybe all that would have been an excuse, a way to disguise what he had been feeling all the time.
And now, with you dancing and laughing so freely, he couldn't pretend anymore. The smile he showed to others was always a mask, but at that moment, looking at you, he felt something real. A slight tightness in his chest that he couldn't ignore.
Without realizing it, Mattheo let out a deep sigh. It was no longer a matter of provoking or winning bets. There was something else there, something he hadn't been able to admit even to himself.
And, for the first time, he stopped fighting against that.
Damn, he really fell in love with you.

+ gojo x f!reader | wc 2.3k | content: modern au, fluff, slight angst, rich!gojo, rich!reader, arranged marriage but reversed(?), slightly suggestive
notes: haha i was exploring tropes and this just came to me :â) fairly nervous so feedbacks and reblogs appreciated muwah <3
summary: sometimes you think that you and gojo are not meant to be. and sometimes, he itches to prove you wrong.
there are many things you would call gojo satoru. partner in crime, friendship on fire, a twisted manifestation of the kind of romance that would consume you whole if you didnât take precaution.
âready to do this, baby?â
heâs as sweet-lipped as ever, the honeyed words overflowing from his tongue. how youâd miss it, those words you hear at night, the saccharine praises that send you into overdrive.
âonly if you are, sweetie.â
youâre equally good at it, having learned from one of the bestâgojo satoru himself. you smirk at him, straightening his suit and tie. he looks devilishly handsome in that tailored suit, the one you had made for him. if you recall correctly, he only saves it for a special occasion.
and it qualifiesâtoday is definitely a special occasion.
âso happy to be getting rid of me?â satoru asks you, pouting and putting on his best puppy eyes. his white lashes house a sea of crystalline blue, the kind youâve gotten addicted to, the same pair youâd gotten lost in many times over.
youâll never forget it.
the way satoruâs lips ghost over your own. the way his index finger trails up the side of your arm. he likes the goosebumps that sear across your skin. satoru loves knowing the effect he has on you.
this marriage of convenience has taken its toll on both your families. in hindsight, they shouldâve known that they canât control either of you. the gojo family, for all theyâre worth, thought that gojo satoru would never betray their money, their status. and your familyâtheyâd always known youâd objected to these notions; convenience, business, romanceâthe way these three intertwine intentionally, a manufactured relationship borne out of familial ties.
itâs bullshit.
how lucky for you, that gojo satoru felt the same. he still feels the same, which is why heâs in front of you right now, getting ready to drop the bomb in the investorsâ meeting.
his father is sure to kill him, but thatâs provided he can get through you first.
sure, getting married to gojo satoru was not in your life plans. your mother had chosen a very apt timing to tempt you, quoting half a million dollars as the condition for getting and staying married to that gojo boy. and sure, she can do her best to try and haggle that money back from you once the both of you are done with today, but youâre guessing sheâll be facing much more important and pressing matters than simply getting money back from her defiant daughter.
âthis is what we discussed, satoru,â you sigh, avoiding his question like he knew you would. âone year, thatâs all we needed. and look where we are now.â
satoru smiles, pearly whites and bad boy charm. âiâd miss you in my bed at night though.â
you smack him playfully across his chest. he only chuckles lowly, fondly, his right hand on your head, brushing your hair. it almost makes you want to stay. but that wasnât part of the deal, and youâre not sure that either you or satoru are ready for commitments.
âmustâve been some pretty good sex to make the gojo satoru miss me, huh?â you play along, pushing yourself away gently, your hand on his chest.
satoru tips your chin up with his finger, looking you in the eyes as he tells you, âbabe, youâre the best pussy iâve ever had.â
complete romantic, as you can tell. (you canât stop his vulgar tongue even if you tried.)
âokay okay, stop stalling, satoru,â you chide him, holding your palm out, smiling as he takes it. âgot the evidence?â
satoru holds a thick envelope out, grinning. âall here.â
the two of you stand outside the conference room for a minute, staring at each other. in another world, maybe youâd be in this hotel with gojo satoru where youâre actually marriedâfor feelings rather than a transaction. in that other world, maybe you and gojo satoru were childhood sweethearts, the kind where you grew old without all the fucked up relationships that branded both of you too overwhelmed to be in a real one right now. hey, maybe in that world, maybe just maybe, that vow that gojo satoru had uttered on your wedding day (the same that you had uttered as well)âmaybe he wouldâve meant it.
you didnât think you would come to like gojo satoru. itâs been a long time since youâd first met him. when youâd seen him stomping into the meeting room of your companyâs office like he owned the place, like everyone there was beneath him. heâd gotten right under your skin then and there.
getting along was no easy feat. it took three months for the both of you to agree to live together. strangely it took just one night for you both to give in to temptation once you did start living together.
both of you are menacesâthatâs what your mother would say.
somehow, somewhere, those feelings you thought youâd never feel before blossomed again. the kind of trust you didnât think youâd ever give was given to satoru and you wonder if he even knows it. but satoru has never changed his stance on relationships since the first time you met him; theyâre a waste of time.
âyou know, if you wanna keep me, all you gotta do is say so.â satoruâs looking at you, that jester smile plastered on his face. you canât see his beautiful eyes when itâs all crinkled up like that, but you thank god for that. you donât know how youâd resist him if you could see them.
âdream on, satoru,â you deflect, and expertly. youâre great at hiding your real feelings like that. âour deal ends today.â
yeah, the deal the two of you made with each other, right when both families thought their children had made peace with their decision, or their fate, as they liked to call it. neither you nor gojo felt any affection for the family you grew up in, not when theyâd never took interest in either of you as anything other than an heir. when both your childhoods were filled with extra readings and learning proper manners. when satoru grew up learning from his father that women were just a means to a child and youâd grown up learning from your mother that if a girl is not beautiful then she is not desirable. you remember how she almost disowned you for getting a scar on your face, even though it was only temporary.
she has a penchant for the overdramatics. you think today might be no different. you hope not. the entire aim of today is to bring about the crumble of two empiresâgojoâs and your familyâs.
to hell with their money and their dirty syndicates. itâs filthy money they have their hands full with, and frankly, you and satoru are done playing their pawns.
as satoru leads the way, you loop your arm around his elbow, watching as his father is taken completely off-guard when he watches his own son expose his schemes, watching as your own parents try to salvage the situation by saying how children these days would do anything to get out of their responsibilities.
theyâre all walking ironies.
you both watch as the investors walk out one by one, outraged and disappointed. you watch as satoruâs own father vows to kill him, and you scoff as your own mother seconds his notion.
ânot if the law gets you first,â you tell them, effectively shutting them up as they hear the police sirens in the air.
they spew about how the both of you are pieces of shit as theyâre taken away, and you find you couldnât care less. maybe itâs a little inhuman of you not to feel a thing when you watch your parents getting taken away in handcuffs. but then again, theyâd never really treated you like a human either.
âhere you go,â satoru chirps as the sirens drown into the background. he holds out another envelope, this one solely for you.
you smile, a melancholy washing over you as you take it from his hands and take the documents out, flipping to the last page where satoru has already signed.
âour divorce papers,â you coo, âhow romantic.â
because gojo satoru is always a romantic.
he remembers your birthday and remembers your favourite cake. he remembers what you need when youâre upset, never makes you feel alone. he remembers how you like your eggs and purposely cooks them wrong all the time. he remembers how you take your coffee and always gives you tea. he remembers how you always nag at him for annoying you and then annoy you some more because for some reason you look very attractive when youâre angry.
it takes you a minute to sign your own name. it kind of feels lonely now, thinking how youâll never go back to the same apartment as satoru. how you wonât see him sprawled out on the couch, pouting because youâre a little late for movie night. how you wonât catch him staring at your body as you get changed. how you wonât get to throw your pillows at him in the morning for tickling you in bed just to get you to wake up.
after allâyouâd agreed; these affections were temporary like they were always meant to be.
you canât help but find yourself wishing for more. but you were raised to be ruthless, not stupid. you wonât let satoru know of your feelings, because all your deductions say that nothing good will come of it.
âhmm,â satoru hums as he eyes your signature. âwouldnât be opposed to a special arrangeââ
ânot gonna be your fuckbuddy, satoru,â you deadpan at him, flicking his forehead.
âwhy not?â he whines, and you nearly cave.
because you canât risk falling further than you already have when thereâs absolutely zero chance of satoru catching you.
âbecause thereâs a long line of guys i wanna date and you should get in line first,â you lie, and satoru smirks like heâs caught on to something.
but if he has, he doesnât say a thing, and that tells you everything you need to know.
âguess this is it then, l/n y/n?â
you donât want it to be, but it has to.
âyou made a great fake real husband, gojo satoru,â you tell him, shaking his hand.
kind of a lame goodbye for two people who had shared everyday together for the past year. but you think maybe this brief goodbye should suffice. you donât want the flames to burn either of you blue.
gojo satoru doesnât say another word when you turn to leave.
and you donât turn to look back at him as you walk away.
some chapters of your life should come to a close. your chapter with gojo satoru should remain here, kept close in your heart, kept warm as memories should.
six months later.
âi just think you and i would be suited for other people.â
itâs funny, how everything never works out between you and other guys. you donât recall it being so hard with satoru. perhaps he was truly made for you, like the heavens designed. but both of you were too similar, too afraid of commitment. nothing was going to come out of it anyway.
and maybe thatâs why you miss it.
his fleeting glances, soft lips on tender skin and a pair of calm blue that never fails to mesmerise you.
satoru is the fleeting kind of romance that burns so bright in its prime and the kind you can never keep close. not when he isnât willing to tone it down and when you donât have the tolerance to match.
strangely, maybe thatâs also why youâre still drawn to him. youâre still hoping that there will be a flaw in the design, that your seemingly parallel lines will intersect somehow. that maybe you wonât have to try and replace him with someone else.
âyeah, kento, i get it,â you tell nanami, sipping on your tea as you watch him get up and go.
you and nanami would not have worked out anyway. not when youâre way too fucked up and heâs comparibly normal. it would be too much for him. you would be too much for him. you stare at the tea in front of you. you kind of miss those dates satoru took you on; trespassing on private property and reliving youth in arcades.
satoru is everythingâlove, heartache, gambles, sins. both of you are spun from the same thread, and maybe you believe that if soulmates exist, you and him have the same red thread twirled around your pinkies.
though, the fact that he isnât here simply proves you to be wrong.
last youâd heard, satoru was travelling the world, carefree and spreading his wings like you always knew he would.
you find yourself wishing that perhaps, somehow, youâd meet him again. but you sigh and get up, knowing you are far too old for this wishful thinking.
but where youâd thought that satoru was roaming, you forget that heâs much like a swallow. because now, when you turn around, you catch that same shade of ocean blue staring straight at you, the same white locks that obstructed your vision in the mornings.
the same satoru whoâd learned of love through you and you alone. the same satoru who, even if he leaves, will always find his way back to you, no matter how much you try to deny and push him away.
satoru takes two steps forward before he pulls you towards him, his long arms coming around you and holding you tight.
this time, heâs not going to let you go.
ây/n,â he calls your name softly, his lips grazing the shell of your ear. âwanna give this another shot?â

But your whole world was shaken when one warm summer morning, your eyes met the bold, defiant and sharp gaze of a young man with white hair.

ch.01 | ch.02 | ch.03 | ch.04 | ch.05 | epilogue
Jujutsu Kaisen materialist
It had been 8 months since you and Satoru met again. And as soon as Satoru could walk again you got married, it had been a bigger wedding than you had ever imagined, after all Satoru was a duke and a close friend of the prince so it had been something normal. Thanks to the wedding you also learned that Satoru was not as hated as your parents had made you believe, in fact Satoru was extremely loved by everyone.
Regarding your parents, you know that they were stripped of their titles and all their property and sent, along with others, to a prison near the border. Satoru didn't want you to see them, apparently they had completely lost their minds and he didn't consider it safe for you.
Satoru asked you if you wanted to stay with your parents' house, and go there during the summers. But although you will love that landscape and the smell of that place, the memories of those walls were mostly painful.
But those memories had been locked in a box and kept far away. Now you were creating new memories in that place you called home. You had arrived at the Gojo residence in winter and for the first time you had admired the snow. And you also met Megumi, Satoruâs nephew. Although the relationship they both had was more of a father-son relationship, after all Satoru had adopted him and taken care of him since he was 4 years old.
In those 8 months you had managed to feel at home and feel that you belonged to the family. Rose kept telling you how happy you looked, how bright you were again. And you also felt it like that.
Satoru had kept all his promises, from a library that you could never imagine to a summer house where you could enjoy the sea breeze again.
Now summer was starting again and that only brought back memories of how last year you were on the beach reading and a boy with a mysterious smile and sharp gaze approached you. Without knowing very well that that meeting would change everything about you.
âWhatâs my beautiful wife doing?â You felt how Satoru left wet kisses on your shoulder.
âI was just admiring the view and thinking.â You looked at him with a shiny smile.
âThinking about what, my love?â He looked at you with the most loving expression.
âAbout us, about everything that has happened in the last year and how lucky I am.â You kissed him.
âI think Iâm the one who is lucky.â He said.
Satoru began to kiss your neck, closing your eyes and pushed your neck back, giving him more space so he could devour you. You could spend years, but you would still be addicted to his kisses and his caresses.
âYou know this white dress you are wearing today is driving me crazy.â He said, biting your ear.
âI thought it was cute for our getaway today.â You purred with a smile on your lips.
âOh definitely itâs cute.â He smiled. âBut I bet you look cuter without it.â
You could listen to Satoru say provocative things a thousand and one times and never get used to it. Despite the time, you continued getting nervous and blushing like the first time.
âSatoruâŚâ You put your hand on his chest, feeling his buildup muscles under your hand. âWe are on the beach.â
âThat makes it even more exciting.â He smirked. âBut no one will come, you know that.â
âYou can't be satisfied, can you?â
âI will never get enough of you, my angel.â He says, before devouring your mouth again.
Satoru laid you down on the cloth that you had brought to sit on the sand and left a trail of kisses until he reached the cloth that separates your breasts from his lips. With a wicked smile on Satoru's face, he grabbed the hem of your dress and pulled it down, exposing your breasts to his blue eyes.
âSo beautiful.â He whispered before introducing your nipple into his mouth and beginning to devour it only as he knew how.
Your back arched and your hands went straight to his hair, where they became tangled in the white hair. With each suck you felt your pussy getting wetter and wetter. You desperately needed Satoru inside of you.
âSatoruâŚâ You moaned. âI need you.â
Satoru separated from you and smiled when he saw your state, disheveled, swollen lips, your nipples completely red and with your legs open, inviting him to enter. Taking off his belt and pulling down his pants, you felt your body react as his cock emerged from his underwear. It was hard, you could see it, very hard.
Satoru lifted your dress and yanked your underwear off, leaving you completely exposed to him. With his hand on his cock, he placed it at your entrance and with a grunt he entered you.
You purred as you felt Satoru fill you and begin to thrust into you. Wrapping your legs around his waist, you reached out, your fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer, needing to feel the warmth of his skin and becoming one with each other.
His warm touch made you melt under his touch. Not only that, you become more desperate for more, wanting all of him to fill you, to kiss you, to adore you with passion. And you could see his hungry eyes, his frenetic pulse and desperate touch. He wanted you as much as you wanted him.
The shockwaves that ran through your body, made tears of pleasure run down your cheeks and inevitably made moans escape from your throat. Which luckily for you were silenced by the noise of the waves crashing against the coast.
Satoru growled your name with each thrust, his voice rough and full of intensity. The sound sent shivers down your spine, a mix of pleasure and anticipation washing over you. His hands, large and possessive, dug into the flesh of your thighs, leaving marks you would probably see the next day.
Every movement was deliberate and powerful, the rhythm relentless and intoxicating. You could feel the heat radiating from his body, the tension in his muscles as he held you, his almost desperate grip on you.
Your mind struggled to keep up with the overwhelming sensations, each one more intense than the last.
Satoru's eyes met yours, his gaze was filled with hunger and that turned you on even more. His breathing became labored, you knew you were both close, you could feel it by the way he was throbbing inside you and the way your body was reacting.
Satoru spoke your name desperately with each of his thrusts, the way he said your name made your heart race even faster, and your breathing quickened with every movement.
His hands grabbed your hips with a possessive intensity, anchoring you against the sand that was under that fabric.
âSatoru.â You breathed, your voice shaking with the overwhelming sensation coursing through your body. His lips found yours again, swallowing your cries with a searing kiss that left you both breathless.
The desperation in his thrusts grew, each one more urgent and insistent than the last. Your nails dug into his skin, leaving marks.
You could feel the spiral of pleasure tightening inside you, his every movement pushing you closer to the edge. His name was a song on your lips, a plea and a prayer.
When your climax finally hit you, it was like a wave crashing over you, sweeping you away in a torrent of bliss. Your cries of ecstasy mixed with Satoru's guttural moans as he followed you to the edge, his release a powerful, consuming force.
Panting and trembling, they held each other, the aftershocks of their passion still coursing through their bodies.
Your chest rose and fell as you felt Satoru fill you. After a few seconds, Satoru pulled out of you and lay down next to you.
âStop taking that medicine.â You said, still feeling your voice shaky and your body trembling.
Satoru turned to look at you confused. âWhat?â
You sighed and adjusted your dress back to how it was. âI heard you, with the doctor.â Satoru sat down. âI know you have been taking that medicine to prevent me from getting pregnant. And I know you did it because I was weak when we got married.â You said. âBut ever since coming here, I gained weight and got healthier. Satoru, I want us to have a bigger family.â
âAngelâŚâ He held your hand.
âMegumi has been asking me for a sibling you know?â You smiled. âAnd I really want it.â
âMegumi has said that?â
You nodded happily. âI want Megumi to have a little brother or sister. Donât you?â
âIâŚâ Satoru sighed and then looked back at you. âYeah of course I would love that, but⌠you know how risky pregnancies can be.â Satoruâs eyes reflected concern, agony and fear. âWhat ifâŚâ
âSatoru.â You tried to calm him down. âI know the risks and I know what could happen but I think Iâm ready.â You smiled.
Satoru sighed. âWe will talk with the doctor and we will see, alright?â
You nodded and hugged him. âI love you.â
He chuckled and smiled back. âI love you too.â
You both hugged each other until the sun started to set down and the temperature of the day started to go down. Satoru picked you up bridal style and between laughter and soft kisses he carried you to the horse to return home. It sounded good, home.
It filled your heart with a warmth that you didn't know you could feel and a longing to return that you had never experienced. Normally you would extend your readings on the beach until the last ray of sunlight disappeared and the stars began to shine.
But at the Gojo residence, when you had to go out to attend to matters like the Duchess you were, you returned home with Satoru, with Megumi, who you could say had become almost like your own son, with Rose, Nanami and the household employees, who had given you affection and love from the first moment.
Entering the large hall you were greeted by several of the employees, including Rose, who had had a special glow for some time and you both knew what it meant.
âAsk the doctor to come tomorrow.â You heard Satoru speak.
âDuchess.â Rose bowed, you were still not used to that title and it still felt weird.
âRose.â You smiled. âDid Megumi have his dinner?â
She shook her head. âHe is waiting for both of you to have dinner together.â
You looked over to Satoru and this one smiled at you. âLetâs have dinner.â He held your hand.
You both walked to the dining room where you found Megumi concentrating on reading a book. Satoru looked at you and you gave him a warm smile.
âGumi.â You called out to him and he quickly looked up from him to look at you both.
âMom.â He put the book aside and ran over to you to hug your legs.
You still weren't used to Megumi calling you mom, the first time she said it you were completely paralyzed, not knowing how to respond or act, Megumi noticed that and regretted it but you told him that he did want to call you mom and then you would be very happy. And since then he had called you mom. On the other hand, Satoru was offended, since for years he had been trying to get Megumi to stop calling him simply Gojo, but the little boy didn't want to.
âIâm still offended that you donât even call me uncle.â Satoru murmured.
You chuckled looking at Megumi. âJust give him time, right Gumi?â Megumi simply hide his face on your dress.
âA little bird told me that you want a brother or sister. But that wonât happen until you call me uncle.â Satoru challenged him and Megumi turned his face away from your dress and looked at him offended.
âNot fair.â He said.
âIt is not.â Satoru smirked. âYou just have to call me from now on uncle and you might have a sibling.â
âSatoru⌠you can not do that.â You said to him.
âWhy not?â He looked at you with puppy eyes.
âHe is a kid, give him time.â You said.
âDadâŚâ
âYeah but why call me Gojo whenâŚâ Satoru paused and looked at Megumi. âWhat?â
âIâm not repeating myself.â Megumi walked away.
âAngel, did he just?â
âYeah.â You smiled at him and noticed how Satoru was getting emotional. âSatoruâŚâ
âSorry, I just.â He shook his head. âI love you Gumi.â He shouted.
Megumi didnât turn to look at him or say anything, but you knew that he was just embarrassed. Megumi opened out at you a few days after calling you mom from the first time about how he wanted to call Satoru dad but he was beyond embarrassed to do it. You found that heartwarming and adorable and seeing how they both reacted filled your heart with happiness and love.
The evening passed quickly between laughter, light conversations and Satoru's jokes and Megumi's protests for Satoru to leave him alone. You knew Satoru wasn't going to let go of the fact that Megumi called him dad and you felt a little sorry for him but it was fun to see his pout. Those new memories that you were creating with those new people that you didn't know a year ago filled your entire heart.
The next day the light passed through the curtains of your room, making you open your eyes to find the bed empty and the sheets cold, indicating that Satoru had woken up long before you. With your hips a little sore after your sex session last night, you got up to get ready to meet the doctor on that sunny morning with clear skies. Rose, like every morning I come into your room and help you.
Once ready, you left your bedroom and began to walk through the Gojo family's large house, still not getting used to all the wealth that you saw when you walked through the wide hallways, with their high ceilings and walls covered in ancestral portraits. .
Approaching the entrance you watched as Satoru walked near the large windows, his expression was a mix of concern and determination. Approaching him, you held his hand and gave him a comforting look, seeking for his agitated soul to relax under your touch.
The heavy entrance doors creaked open and the family doctor entered, whose presence attracted attention. Dr. Stone was a middle-aged man, with a kind but serious demeanor.
âGood morning, Mr. and Mrs. Gojo.â Dr. Stone greeted with a respectful nod. His voice was calm and reassuring, a stark contrast to the turmoil you felt inside. âI trust you're both okay.â
âGood morning, Dr. Stone.â Satoru responded, his voice was firm despite the tension. âThanks for coming.â
Walking down a hallway, the three of you entered an office where you could have a more private conversation. The doctor sat across from you, opened his case, and arranged his instruments with practiced precision. âSo what was it that you wanted to talk about?â
You both looked at each other and Satoru took a breath. âWe want to try to have a child.â You squeezed his hand. âAnd we wanted to know if my wife, well, if she doesn't run any significant risk by getting pregnant.â
Dr. Stone nodded and began his examination with a gentle, professional touch. After a few minutes he looked at you both and smiled. âThere are certain risks, though.â He said he. âWith careful monitoring and appropriate measures, I believe a successful pregnancy is within reach. It will require diligence and caution, but I am confident we can manage any complications that may arise.â
Satoru, who had been watching intently, let out a breath that he didn't realize he was holding. âThank you, Dr. Stone.â He said with relief. âWe appreciate his guidance and support.â
The doctor agreed, with an expression of understanding and empathy. âIt is my duty and honor to serve this family. We will proceed with care.â
With a final bow, the doctor departs, leaving you and Satoru to digest the information. The room seemed to breathe a collective sigh of relief, the tension dissipating like morning mist under the heat of the sun.
âSatoru...â You whispered looking at his expression.
But all the doubts you might have dissipated when you saw how Satoru smiled widely at you. "We could start now, don't you think?"
You rolled your eyes. âAlways so needyâ
Satoru's eyes, electric and searing, met yours with an intensity that made your heart race. He closed the distance between you in the blink of an eye, and taking hold of your face, he pulled you into a passionate kiss. His lips were insistent, full of desire and passion, wanting to claim your lips as his alone.
The kiss deepened, your tongues tangled in a heated dance, each moment fanning the flames of desire and igniting something fervent inside you. His hands slid from your face to your waist, pulling you closer to him, the heat of his body seeping through the layers of your spring dress. You could feel the hard lines of his muscles, his need for you as palpable as yours.
Without breaking the kiss, Satoru's hands began to work on the zippers of your dress. The fabric gave way under his skillful fingers, sliding down your shoulders until it reached your waist. The cool air of the room sent a shiver down your spine as he collided with your bare skin, but it was quickly replaced by the warmth of his touch as he explored your skin.
With a grunt, Satoru pushed aside the objects cluttering the desk. His strength and urgency left you breathless, your pulse pounding in your ears as he lifted you off the desk.
You moaned softly as his lips moved to your neck, sucking and nipping at the sensitive skin. His hands roamed your body, hiking up your dress until he bunched around your waist, exposing your legs. Each touch sent shivers of pleasure through you, your body arching against his in an invitation for him to continue.
Satoru's fingers found the hem of your underwear, teasing the delicate fabric before sending it somewhere in the room. You clung to his shoulders, your nails digging into his back as you writhed in pleasure, each touch bringing you closer to the edge.
With a final, desperate kiss, Satoru pulled away just enough to throw off his own clothes. Seeing him, naked and magnificent before you, made your heart skip a beat. He moved between your legs, his hands gripping your hips as he aligned himself with you, his eyes locked on yours with a burning intensity.
âYou ready?â He whispered, full of need.
You could only nod, your breathing ragged as anticipation tightened within you. Satoru's lips captured yours in a searing kiss as he thrust into you, filling you completely. The sensation was overwhelming, an avalanche of pleasure that made you arch against him, your moans mixing with his moans of satisfaction.
He set a rhythm that was both tender and demanding, each movement taking you higher, the friction of his body against yours igniting sparks of ecstasy. Your fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer as you surrendered to the waves of pleasure washing over you. His name was a breathless plea on your lips, a mantra of desire and need.
âOh my lovely angel.â He said against your ear. âCanât wait to fill you up with my baby.â You moaned loudly feeling how he grew bigger inside of you.
âSatoru.â Your body moved closer to him, wanting to be touch.
âSo needy, my baby.â He said. âYou want that right?â You bite your lips as he started to bite the skin of your neck. âYou want me to put a baby in you huh?â
âYes!â You moaned. âSatoru!â
Satoru's pace quickened, his thrusts becoming more urgent, more desperate. With one last thrust your back arched and you felt Satoru come completely inside you. The room that just a few minutes ago had been filled with the sound of your voices agonizing from pleasure and your skin colliding, had now been plunged into a sea of ââsilence that was only interrupted by the soft sound of your breaths mixing, while you searched for it to return to normal.
âYou know I love you?â He whispered against your now sweaty skin.
You smiled and touched his hair with love. âAnd I love you too.â You kissed his hair. âThank youâŚâ
âFor what?â He looked at you with his eyes full of curiosity.
âFor that day, for coming to me while reading and making me fall in love with you, for everything Satoru.â You smiled.
He shook his head and cupped your face with cherish and love. âI should be the one thanking you angel.â He smiled. âYou donât know how you change my life. I love you so much.â
And both of your lips connected in a sweet kiss full of love, understanding and commitment for one another. You were grateful for going out that day to read on the beach, for looking at those blue eyes, for going out to the back garden despite the warnings, for your heart, your body and your soul reacting to him. You were grateful that man was yours and you were hers.
â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â â
Extra scene
You watched as Satoru whipped his tears away and Megumi looked at him with a weird expression, you wanted to laugh about the scene but your body was too exhausted to make a single movement, even for a simple laugh.
âYou are going to scare her with that face.â Megumi said.
Satoru, still crying, shook his head. âGumi, I can't help it. Look at your sister, she is so small.â
Megumi looked at her and nodded in agreement. âShe is cute. Thankfully she looks like mom and not you.â
Satoru gasped offended and looked at you. âDid you hear that?â You hummed in response and Satoru walked towards you. âHow are you feeling, my angel?â He sat down next to you.
âA bit tired.â You smiled. âBut⌠she is finally here with us.â
âShe is.â Satoru looked over to where your newborn baby girl was. âYou did a great job.â He held your hand. âThank you.â
Heavily you approached him and kissed him. âThanks to you Satoru. I love you."
Satoru smiled. âHow lucky I am that a woman as amazing as you wants to spend the rest of her life with me. I love you too my angel.â He whispered and kissed you again.
The kiss was interrupted by some small cries and you both smiled, realizing the new stage that awaited you.

Love in the Time of Cordyceps
pairing: joel miller x f!reader
summary: when the world ends, you promise you'll never love again. joel miller makes that rule hard to stick to
words: 7.1k
warnings: mentions of gore (pretty tame but still), swearing, sickness, angst, fluff, two dummies not realizing they love each other until one of them almost dies đ
a/n: this was supposed to be more angsty but then i remembered life is hard enough already. and i just want soft joel soooo here we are. also i meant to write 2k at most but boy do i love to ramble
read on ao3!
After the world goes to hell, you promise yourself youâll never love again. A person, an animal, a place, nothing. Only a fool would choose to make themselves that vulnerable, needing every fiber of your being one hundred percent devoted to your survival and nothing more.Â
Was a life without love worth living? Every time that question enters your mind, you swat it aside. Itâs like a nagging fly that buzzes around you until your persistence finally drives it away completely. Of course you could live without love. Youâd been doing it just fine these past fifteen years.Â
Living without attachment proves useful in the new world you find yourself in. It makes the countless people you lose along the way easier to move on from. In the early days, your heart still twinges as the people around you drop like flies. Most fall victim to the bites of clickers, some to raidersâ gun, a few by their own hand.Â
The first group you had travel with is filled with Midwesterners who see the terrors of the new world and still somehow have a smile and a joke for you. Their joviality canât save them, though. Clickers swarm you one rainy night two years after the fall of civilization. The sight of Gail, a woman who reminds you of your grandmother, having her stomach ripped out by an especially voracious clicker cures you of your need for any connections to the living.Â
Over the years, you make your way to the East Coast. Smiles, defiant in the face of adversity are replaced by permanent grimaces etched into the faces of everyone you meet. It seems as though every survivor has lost the ability for happiness of any kind. Good, you think, theyâre finally learning. You wonder what took them so long.Â
Tales of peace the Canadian wilderness has to offer reaches your ears. In your heart you know it is most likely a tall tale spread by desperate survivors. But the good thing about a zombie apocalypse is you now have nothing but time on your hands. Working your way north, if all goes well, youâll reach Saint John by May, continue to Port Elgin and then decide if youâd try for Prince Edward Island or turn east to Nova Scotia.Â
Plans are made to be broken, though, and yours, along with your ankle, break clean through one day as you make your way through Boston. It would have been over for you if not for the two survivors that find you nursing your injury in a department store that will most likely be swarming with clickers by nightfall.Â
The woman, after she puts her gun away, introduces herself as Tess. The man doesnât offer his name, preferring to keep the barrel of his shotgun pointed at you. As they argue quietly over what to do with you, you observe their faces. Both are etched hard with years of loss and worry. Even harder than your joyless face. Itâs impressive albeit in a sad kind of way.Â
Tess had somehow persuades the man to help you back to the Boston QZ. Joel. You hear her call him Joel. âFine,â he had grumbles as he places your arm over his shoulder for support, âbut if she scans red, I will not hesitate to put her down.â Oddly enough his threat somehow makes you almost like him. You sense a kindred spirit. Another follower of the âno love, no attachmentâ way of life.Â
You do not, in fact, scan red and are allowed to enter the QZ. An apartment is assigned to you, a crappy little studio with faded lime green paint. The old you would have adored it, called it quirky and planned out how best to decorate it with your meager funds. The new you just appreciates a safe place to sleep.Â
After your ankle heals, Tess invites you to join her smuggling scheme. Thoughts of Canada flee your mind for the time-being and you gladly welcome something to keep yourself occupied.Â
âBut what about the cowboy?â you ask.Â
âJoel? What about him?â
Your eyebrows arch, âHe threatened to shoot me.â
âOnly if you were infected. Just donât get infected.â She says it like youâre discussing the weather.Â
Joel allows you into the group begrudgingly, probably because he thinks they can use you as bait or a distraction if needed. Fine. Let them label you bait. Youâve been called worse before.Â
The first few months working together are tense. Joel reprimands you for the smallest mistakes and warns Tess youâll get them all killed. At first, you bite your tongue, reminding yourself of the part he had in saving you. But one night after he scolds you for the millionth time about not checking your blind spots for clickers, you snap. âFuck off, Joel! I survived the clickers for fifteen years. I think I know what Iâm fucking doing!.â
He holds up his hands in surrender, wandering off with a hurt pout like he wasnât the one who was just being the asshole. You wonder why your victory leaves you feeling hollow.Â
After that, Joel keeps his mouth shut around you. No nagging, no âhelpfulâ tips. Just the bare minimum of whatever he needs to convey. Youâll never admit that it hurts. You donât have to, though. Tess, at the end of her rope, explodes one night as the three of you eat dinner in awkward silence. âCouple of fuckinâ babies Iâm working with,â she seethes. âIf you donât grow up Iâm finding a new crew.â
Itâs decided that you and Joel will do the next supply run to Billâs. Alone. No Tess there to act as buffer between you and him. Joel grunts at that but doesnât argue, always deferring to your leader. The trip to Billâs goes as well as you can ask. There are no arguments between the two of you at least. Youâre sure you even see Joel crack a smile. Of course itâs when you clumsily tripped over a raised tree rootâŚBut hey, progress is progress.
With the supplies in tow and Frankâs compound behind you, you actually think this trip might be a success. A gang of raiders lying in wait to sabotage you dashes your hopes of that. They had seen the two of you lugging your supplies and thought it would be an easy win. At first, they are correct. They outnumber you and Joel in size and wickedness. The four of them arenât content to kill you outright. They tie you up and discuss what to do with you next.Â
Of course their attention quickly falls on you. The man with an ugly gash across his face leers at you. âMaybe we should keep her around awhile. She looks like fun.â Try as you might to act tough, that sends the blood rushing through your ears.Â
You almost donât hear Joel snarl at them. âYou lay one finger on her and itâll be the last thing you ever do.â The venom in his voice snaps you back to reality. While their attention is on him, you discreetly start ripping at your bonds with the little pocket knife you thankfully decided to stow in your back pocket.Â
They beat Joel senseless by the time you get free. You honestly think youâre too late as you stab the goon nearest to you in the thigh, by some miracle hitting his femoral artery. The others turn to you, blindsided as you go wild at the sight of your bloodied and broken companion. Gash-Face comes roaring at you, all brawn no brains. The look of surprise as you lodge the knife in his neck makes you smile with sickening glee.Â
The remaining two corner you, murder in their eyes. Your gun is just beyond them, taunting you to come retrieve it. The only âweaponâ you have is the belt youâre wearing, itâs clasp heavy and silver. You undo it and swing it at the nearest man. He grabs it, cackling victoriously as he uses it to pull you closer. In their grasp, you become the target of their blows. You curl into the fetal position, angry that after all the near death experiences youâve had, this will be the way you go out.Â
A shot rings out, then another. Two thuds on the ground next to you make you open your already swollen eyes. As you look up, you realize your savior is Joel. Back from the dead. His face is covered in blood, like some kind of ghoul. But in that moment, you have never seen someone look more like an angel. The two of you limp back to the QZ where Tess nurses you as she simultaneously curses the deceased thugs.Â
Joel corners you in the bathroom the next day as you study your bruised face. âYou could have run,â he hisses at you, making you jump. You donât know what he wants so you just shrug. He invades your space, making you back against the counter. âWhy didnât you run?â His voice has gone low, anger simmering just beneath the surface.Â
Faces inches from each other, all you can muster is a weak, âWeâre a team. I wasnât going to leave you.â
Several emotions flicker across his face in quick succession. Anger, fear, worry and something you canât quite put your finger on. Pride? Maybe that was you projecting but you hope you were right. Joel studies you for a moment longer, then reiterates, âNext time, you run.â
******
After that, things change. Joel is still a man of few words but the ones he does grace you with are softer and more intentional. Instead of berating you for the knowledge and skills you lack, he takes them time to teach you. He shows you how to identify fake ration cards and to spot the kind of guard you can bribe. Nights are spent with you following behind him like a shadow as he shows you all the secret ways in and out of the QZ. When your hands shake during target practice, he places his calloused ones over yours. It steadies your hands but frays your nerves, threatening to awake a feeling long thought dormant.Â
It goes both ways. Joel lacks attention to detail in certain situations and you show him how to read people and ascertain their flaws that can be exploited. During your runs you point out the flora that can be consumed safely or used as medicine. At Flynnâs, the only bar in the QZ, you teach him how to play pool. An essential to survival? No. But it sure helps you win a huge stash of ration cards from your fellows survivors. It also gives you an excuse to sidle up behind him and mold your body around his, all in the name of helping him get the âproper pool stance.â
Your excuses to fleetingly touch one another became more and more common. They are all perfectly innocent but carry the weight of something elicit, at least to you. Joel is never one to give away his innermost thoughts, happy to wear a permanent poker face. For all you know he couldnât care less about you. Maybe he just knows keeping you alive is good for business and thatâs why he takes a particular interest in making sure youâre safe. Whatever the reason, you hope he never stops.Â
******
During one supply run, a torrential thunderstorm forces you to spend the night at Bill and Frankâs. You know it makes Joel nervous to be indebted to anyone for such hospitality but you canât hide your glee. A night there means a cozy bed and a hot shower, something hard to find in your home where the water runs tepid at best.Â
Afterwards spending way too long in the bathroom, you curl up in your bed, toasty and content, only to find sleep wonât not come. Your hosts are dear to you, even the grumpy Bill, but their snoring through the wall you share makes hopes for a deep sleep impossible.Â
After an hour of tossing and turning, you decide to go make your bed on the couch. As you tiptoe down the stairs you run into Joel, on his way up . âGoing somewhere?â he drawls, exhaustion making his voice deeper than usual. You shrug, âCouldnât sleep. There are two buzzsaws in the room next door.â
Joel chuckles, âIâve had that room before. Canât say it was the best night of sleep Iâve ever had.â You lived for these little snippets into Joelâs life before you came around, always eager to hear more. But the trek to the house through never-ending sleet and over the turbulent river left you more tired than you had felt in years. Right now all you want is to get where you could pass out immediately. âIâm just gonna make camp on the couch,â you say, stifling a yawn.Â
Joel shakes his head. âYou take my room. The couch is good enough for me.â This man. Hadnât anyone told him chivalry is dead. You sigh tiredly and beckon for him to come back up the stairs with you. âItâs a big bed. We can share.â There is silence behind you where there should have been footsteps. Joelâs smile disappears as his forehead creases in thought. âPlease,â you pout, âI canât sleep in my room and I wonât get any rest knowing youâre crammed on that dainty little loveseat.â
It takes far more coaxing than it should but finally Joel gives you a little nod and follows you into his - your - room. You gesture to the bed, âCare which side you get?â Joel thinks, then shrugs. âLeft is good.â You flop onto the right side, eyes immediately drooping shut. Once again, there is no movement from your companion. Without opening your eyes, you chide him, âIf youâre gonna be weird and watch me sleep all night then you can go sleep on the couch.â That got him moving again.Â
The sound of the shower turning on lulls you to a sleep that is disturbed only when you feel the dip of the bed several minutes later. You watch through barely opened eyes as Joel does a strange shimmy under the covers. Itâs clear heâs trying his best not to wake you. The sight makes you laugh softly and his head whips to you.Â
âThought you were asleep,â he murmurs.Â
You hum, âI was. You woke me up.âÂ
Itâs meant to be a joke but Joel grimaces. âSorry.â
The sight is sweet and your heart flips, his frown making him look almost boyish. âItâs ok. Itâs your bed.âÂ
As you burrow into your cocoon of blankets, Joel props himself up, a pillow behind his back. He looks from you to the bedside lamp and back again. âYou mind if I read for a few minutes?âÂ
That surprises you. In all your time together you had rarely seen Joel do something just for the pleasure of it. There was usually no time. But Bill and Frankâs is a sanctuary and even the hyper-vigilant Joel Miller is able to slow down here. You nod enthusiastically, perking up. âWhat are you reading?âÂ
Itâs like you had asked him what his darkest secret was. He reddens, then finally grabs a book from the table. Pride and Prejudice. He stammers, âItâs justâŚI never had a lot of time for reading before and this was a favorite ofâŚit was a favorite of somebody I knew.â
âYou can read out loud to me if you want,â you offer with a grin. Honestly it was half in jest and half a serious hope. It had been decades since anyone had read aloud to you. Joel, always thinking you were making some sort of fun of him, smirks sarcastically. âNot a chance.âÂ
Your glower slowly melts away at the sight of him putting on his reading glasses and settling in. Silently you curse as you feel your hardened heart crack just the tiniest bit. Idiot that you are, you try to talk yourself out of your own feelings. You arenât attached to Joel. How could you be? Heâs just a handsome, rugged man who keeps you safe and reads Jane Austen in his spare time. Maybe some lesser fool would fall for him but not you. No, sir.
The next morning, you find yourself curled into him, chest pressed against his back and arm draped over his side. Like a bomb diffuser, you carefully try to extricate yourself from the position, every movement slow and precise. Joel, still asleep, lazily grabs your hand, keeping your arm around him. He sighs contentedly as you settle back down and you swear under your breath, nestling your head at the crook of his neck. You are so that lesser fool.Â

The thunderstorms of summer give way to the pleasant days of autumn. Those good days donât seem to last long enough. You should have appreciated them more while they were there but so is the way of being human.Â
Winter in Boston isnât fun. Ok thatâs an understatement. It makes you long for the soul-sucking, never-ending Midwestern winters you had lived through for most of your life. There is something about being next to the ocean that makes everything feel colder.Â
The nights are especially hard, the wind seeping through the cracks in the walls of your apartment. No matter how many blankets you tuck around yourself, your body never truly feels warm. Runs to Billâs or anywhere outside the QZ become less frequent and more difficult. Only those deemed truly necessary are attempted and even then there is always a long discussion beforehand weighing out the pros and cons.Â
Runs between the months of November and January are too risky and after much debate, it is decided you three would lay low in the relative safety of the QZ. In the meantime, youâd assess your stockpile, make connections over the radio and wait for the spring thaw. With less food smuggled in from the outside, you decide to put your energy into earning ration cards. Even though no one could argue you donât pull your weight in the group, you often feel like the weak link. Making sure Tess and Joel have a hot meal every night is the least you could do.Â
Joel had always told you to stay away from sewer work. It paid double what the other jobs did but at a high risk. Besides not being able to wash the stink off for days, the tunnels under the city were treacherous. Many had gone down there only to be blindsided by a stray clicker or jumped by a loner who made their home away from society up above. Some just got lost in the labyrinth, never to be heard from again. Or at least you had been told. You hoped those were just myths.Â
You and three other desperate souls are sent down to the sewers with the task of clearing the rubble from a recent cave in. A hard dayâs work definitely but you were optimistic that you could get it done in a few hours time and be on your way.
The first few hours go well, the biggest pieces of the concrete being cleared easily enough. Your back aches and callouses quickly form on your palms. But still, all of that you can deal with, mollifying yourself with the thought of the stack of ration cards youâll proudly gift to Joel and Tess.Â
Maybe if you hadnât been daydreaming you would have heard the shouts of your fellow volunteers sooner. Finally coming back to reality, you move just in time to avoid another piece of falling rock. You save yourself from being crushed but lose your footing, coming down hard on your shin.Â
A stream of bright blood instantly trickles from the gash and you swear as you try to keep the tears that spring to your eyes at bay. Wanting to prove yourself, you brush off your groupâs insistence that you go get it checked by the doctor. It doesnât matter if you complete ninety percent of your shift. You still donât get your payment if you leave early. So you suck it up for another hour, slogging through the muck as you finish the job. Itâs fine, you tell yourself, itâs just a scratch. Youâll wash it off when I get home and be good as new.Â
With the job done and ration cards tucked away in your pocket, you hobble back towards your apartment. The thought of a shower, as lukewarm as it will be, is the only thing keeping you upright. That is until you feel someone putting your arm around their shoulder. Joel helps you the few blocks to your house, his icy silence hurting you more than the cut that now throbs with every jostle.Â
Itâs only after you get inside and are deposited on the couch that Joel speaks. He rolls up the leg of your jeans, cursing as he sees the already festering wound. âI told you to stay out of the sewers.âÂ
You suck in a pained breath as he starts wiping away the dirt. âIâm fine. Itâs just a little cut. Besides, it was worth it,â you pull out the stack of ration cards and present them to him proudly. The sight gives him pause. But the look on his face isnât one of gratitude, itâs worried exasperation. His signature grimace returns, âItâs not worth it if you lose your leg.â And people claim youâre dramatic.Â
Pushing him away with a shoo, you rise, limping to the bathroom. âI just need a shower. Then Iâll be right as rain.â As you peel off your now ruined clothes, Joel hovers on the other side of the door. âI can hear you pacing,â you call over the sound of the warming shower.Â
Even through the almost closed door you can hear Joel sigh. âI just think we should take you to the doc. Make sure youâre alright.â The water hitting you makes you audibly moan, the filth on your body washing down the drain and with it, the memory of the hard day. You appreciate the concern but all you want to do know is forget about the day. You call out to a still pacing Joel, âIâm fine. You worry too much!â
******
It turns out Joel worries the right amount. Of course he does. As eager as you are to forget about your day, itâs not long before you canât ignore your leg. The wound is an angry red and the area around it has swollen, leaving it tender and throbbing. Thankfully you have Joel there to dress it because, honestly, you canât stomach the sight of it. These past years have been filled with much blood and gore at your own hands. But thereâs something different when itâs your own blood.Â
In any other circumstance you would have reveled in the feeling of Joel holding your leg so tenderly, his fingers brushing against your skin as he wraps the bandage around you. It would have driven you insane seeing him crouched in between your legs as he is now. But at the moment all you can think about is how you much pain youâre in.Â
You try not to show your discomfort, but your poker face is nonexistent. Joelâs eyes flick up to yours as you slowly exhale, trying to keep calm. Avoidance has always been one of your favorite tactics when dealing with uncomfortable situations so you pipe up, overly perkily, âSee? All better. Now about those ration cards, I was thinking for dinner-âÂ
Joel rolls his eyes, standing with a groan, his knees audibly cracking. âThe only thing youâre gonna do tonight is rest.â
You slowly turn your body to prop your leg up on a pillow as he watches. Pouting has never worked on Joel but you figure it never hurts to try. âI still have to eat,â you mope.Â
âYou will. Iâll open a can of soup or something.â
The disappointment is real and bubbles to the surface quicker than you realized it would. âI just wanted us all to have a nice dinner. You and Tess do so much and I feel likeâŚâ Thinking how you feel is different from saying it out loud and you have to psych yourself up. Joelâs softening gaze helps you continue. âI feel like Iâm useless. I just thought this was one thing I could do to really contribute.â
The silence between you feels heavy as you avoid his stare. Finally, he speaks, confusion contorting his features, âOf course you contribute. We wouldnât have kept you around if you hadnât.â Itâs meant to make you feel better but it doesnât, especially in your current laid up state.Â
âSo are you going to get rid of me if Iâm no longer useful?â you gesture at your leg, feeling your eyes beginning to sting with tears.Â
Joel sits down next to you. Your fear has made you defiant and you meet his gaze, wanting to fight. But Joel speaks in a soft, level voice, as if teaching a child a lesson. âFirst of all, youâre going to get better. You just need to be patient. Second, youâre thinking thereâs only one kind of way to be useful.â
âI canât shoot like you two can. I canât fight. I canât threaten people into getting what I want. I can go on runs and earn ration cards. Thatâs it. Iâm too soft for anything actually important.âÂ
Joel frowns, âYou say that like itâs a bad thing. âBeing softâ in a world like this is an act of defiance. Itâs brave as hell. What you consider important? I donât want that for you.â
Warmth spreads through your chest as you observe him. Heâs trying so hard to find his next words, to make you believe his truth. âMe and Tess, we let the world harden us more than it needed to. It was easier that way. But having you around reminds us thereâs still innocence and good out there.â
The angry tears have turned to ones of gratitude. The sentiment is too much for you, unused to such vulnerability from Joel. You give him a small smile and he returns it, leaning over to wipe a tear off your cheek. âYouâre useful just being you.â
While you still wish you matched Joel and Tessâ levels of badassery, the conversation helps ease your mind. You might not think much of your survival skills but you remind yourself that youâve stayed alive in a world that wants you dead. Fifteen years youâve been fighting and surviving and thatâs nothing to look down on.Â
âAnd for what itâs worth, â he adds, âyou scared the hell out of me the first time we met.â
You grin at him, shocked, âReally?â
He nods, smirking cheekily, âReally. Still do sometimes.â
******
Joel heats up a can of tomato soup for you to share. You try not to think of how old it must be as he prepares it. But actually, itâs not bad, the taste reminding you of your childhood.Â
It also helps that youâre sharing it with someone you care about. A part of you hates that how easily youâve let him into your heart. The one thing you swore off all those years ago is now all you can think about as you watch him sitting across from you, ladling out the steaming liquid.Â
He catches you staring and breaks the silence, âWere you even going to tell me you got hurt today if I hadnât run into you.â The fuzziness of your feelings for him makes your brain a little mushy and instead of having a grownup conversation, you reply with a childish, âNo, I thought Iâd let it be a soup-rise.âÂ
Joel rolls his eyes in mock annoyance. You chuckle and continue eating your rapidly cooling dinner. You sober up a bit and add, âThe extra ration cards will be good, though. Right?âÂ
He nods, âYeah. I think itâs soup-er.â His eyes flick up to yours as they crinkle, the only sign that he finds himself amusing.Â
After dinner, Joel excuses himself to go work his overnight shift. When he leaves and youâre left along, the throbbing in your leg returns with a vengeance along with a mild fever. Your usually chilly apartment now feels stuffy and you have to remove all of your layers except your t-shirt to be even somewhat comfortable.Â
Worry creeps in as you sit there, alone and increasingly unwell. You long for the company of Joel or Tess, anyone to reassure you that youâre fine. But youâre alone and the dark thoughts creep in, whispering in your ear that whatever is brewing is not good. Unsure of what else to do, you slip in to bed, hoping that whatever this is will be better by morning.Â
******
You donât wake for two days. Or at least, you have no real memory of the past 48 hours. Later, when the worst is over, Joel will tell you the details of that lapse in your memory. Heâll recount how you faded in and out of consciousness, sometimes submitting to your fever for so long that he wasnât sure you were coming back. His voice will waver as he remembers how bad it got and how fragile you lookedâŚ
But for now, he stays by your side, foregoing his own health to make sure you stay alive. The first thing you remember is waking up to the sounds of Joel and Tess arguing in hushed tones.Â
âWe need to get her to a doctor. Now.â Joelâs voice sounds strained, like heâs trying desperately not to lose it.Â
Tess still maintains her signature composure. âWe canât, Joel. Itâs too late for that.â
Joel must make some kind of face because Tess sighs and re-words. âItâs too late to take her in because if we bring her to the hospital all theyâll focus on is her fever. Theyâve put people down for way less. You know that.â
In your addled state, you wonder who theyâre talking about. Your throat hurts to much to speak up though and ask.Â
âThe doc will give us the meds. Weâve bribed him before.âÂ
Tess shakes her head, âAntibiotics are on lockdown. Shipments have been delayed because of the weather. No one gets any without FEDRA knowing. Breaking in guarantees we get caught. Weâre no good to her dead. â
Joel scoffs, âSo what do you suggest we do?â
âShe rides it out.â
âSheâs been âriding it outâ for two days. Look at her,â Joelâs voice gets closer as he peers down at you, âsheâs fighting but sheâs losing.â
Oh. Fever may have taken hold of you, making your brain fuzzy and concentration near impossible, but you understand now that you are the subject of their argument. For Joel to sound so forlorn you must look bad.Â
If youâre dead soon, you want to let them know to leave it and just let you slip away. Your well-being means nothing if it puts them in unnecessary danger. Rule be damned, theyâre your family now and you care about them. If youâre being honest, youâve cared about them since you met them. It breaks your heart thinking you wonât be able to tell them that now. It nearly kills you right then and there to know you wonât get the chance to tell Joel you love himâŚ
Opening your mouth to articulate all of that takes great effort and when you do try and speak, all that comes out is a strangled groan. The two rush over, Tess sitting down beside you. She takes your hand, an uncharacteristic show of tenderness. Yep, youâre dying.Â
âYouâre ok, kid,â she whispers, âyou just have to hang in there.â It would be easy to ignore reality and blindly trust her. But youâve always been stubborn and so you shake your head and continue trying to speak. Again, nothing comes out but garbled nonsense as you writhe around trying to make your limbs do what your brain wants.Â
You must look a sight because Joel lets his anger overflow. âMaybe you can sit here and watch her die, but I canât.âHeavy footsteps and Tess yelling are all that you can focus on as you fade back into oblivion.Â
******
Living is hard and unconsciousness is addicting. Peaceful and cozy are feelings you can scarcely remember having. It would be easy to stay in that enveloping darkness but the feeling of the back of someoneâs hand on your clammy forehead pulls you back to the realm of the living. You grumble weakly as youâre made to come to.Â
Everything is painful. Stabbing jolts of electricity radiate up your leg from the cut. Your chest is tight, making breathing troublesome and your eyes can barely stand the dim, watery sun coming through the shades of the window. Someone places a damp cloth on your forehead to keep the fever at bay. Still out of it, you try and swat it away.Â
A gentle hand grabs yours, shushing you. âItâs alright. Itâs only me.âÂ
Joel. Maybe you have died and this is heaven. The man you love by your side, nursing you so tenderly. Itâs more than you could have ever hoped for. This might be the afterlife believers talk about if only you werenât in so much pain. The neurons in your brain begin firing more rapidly as your fever dies down. They remind you that you and Joel arenât lovers. Your cowardice, disguised as intelligence, has kept you from telling him how you feel.Â
âWhatâs happening?â Your voice comes out croaky and soft but at least itâs intelligible. The bed dips as Joel moves closer to you. As you peer up through barely opened eyelids you can see him leaning over you. His tired eyes look down at you as he caresses your hair.Â
âYou got real sick, honey. That cut you got festered and turned into a fever. We thought we were gonna lose you.â The slight falter in his voice makes your already tight chest contract.Â
âHow long was I out?â
âThree days. We got you some meds, though. Youâre gonna be ok.â He says it firmly, which does some good in easing your worry.Â
Trying to open your eyes a bit more you continue your questioning, âWhere did you get the antibiotics from?â
Joel hesitates, âBill and Frank had some.â
You try and sit up, angry that he made that trip and put himself in danger. Even now, you can see the snow whipping around outside your window. Knowing he made the trek there and back through that storm makes you curse. Joel tuts and puts a gentle hand to your chest, keeping you down and resting.Â
âItâs done. No use getting angry about it now.â
You glare up at him even though youâre really just upset with yourself. âWhy would you do something so stupid?â
His smiles peacefully down at you, exhausted but eyes bright. âWeâre a team, remember?â
Itâs too much for you to handle. You cover your face just in time to hide the angry, relieved and grateful tears that spring to your eyes. Silent sobs wrack your frame, making you seize with pain.Â
Joel pulls you into him, shushing you as he resumes stroking your hair. You hide your face in his side, trying to regain your composure. Crying shouldnât be something you feel the need to earn. But youâre all sorts of broken, so you take this rare opportunity to not judge yourself and weep with abandon. You almost died, for Christâs sake. Surely that warrants some show of emotion.
After a few minutes, the tears stop and your breathing calms. Peeking up, you see Joel has his eyes closed. His face is the most serene youâve seen it in ages, most of the worry lines softened. Thereâs still a few that refuse to relax, though. The crease in between his eyebrows remains stubbornly indented. You gaze up at him as he continues to run soothing patterns along your back.Â
Feeling the weight of your stare, he opens his eyes. Coward that you are, you glance away. âThank you,âis all you can mumble out as he gazes at you. After a moment, you add a shy, âI would do the same for you. You know that, right?â
Joel pulls you gently into him, almost to remind himself youâre still here with him and that the danger has passed. He nuzzles into your hair, murmuring an affectionateâI know, honey. I know.â
******
After a few more hours and another dose of antibiotics, you begin to feel more like yourself. Joel still wonât let you get out of bed yet, except for a trip to the bathroom for a quick shower. Even though youâve been dead to the world for much of your ordeal, youâre quickly getting bored with bed rest. But youâve learned long ago that resistance is futile with Joel. So you shower like a good patient, scowling as the water hits your scabbing cut.Â
Once you finish, Joel hops in and washes the grime and worry of the past three days off. As you settle back in bed, you can hear him singing softly to himself. Through the patter of the water you can hear his soft rendition of Fleetwood Macâs Songbird. Itâs one of your favorites, too, and you hum along as you settle back into your pillow.Â
After a few minutes, sleep still wonât come. You toss and turn as Joel finishes getting ready for bed. He comes in to find you still awake. âI thought I told you to get some sleep.â He says it like a loving mother gently scolding their rebellious child.Â
You flail as you try and get comfortable. You shoot back a moody, âBut Iâm just not tired.â Joel chuckles as he sits down into the arm chair next to your bed. He smooths back his wet hair and gives you a faux stern look. âYour bodyâs been through a lot. You need rest.â
âWhat are you doing?â you ask.Â
Joel looks confused, wondering what he did wrong. âSorry I just thought Iâd sleep here tonight in case you need anything. I can leave, though.âÂ
âNo!â you yell out, completely abandoning any hope of looking cool. You give him an apologetic smile, âI want you to stay but youâre not sleeping in that chair one more night.â
Joel glances to the spot on the bed beside you, then looks to you for confirmation. He sighs, a smile playing at his lips. âIf I stay will you promise to go to sleep?â
You nod very seriously. âOf course.â
Joel grins, knowing you too well to believe you. âLiar,â he chuckles but still gets up and makes his way to the other side of the bed. You pull back the blankets so can get in, then cover him up. Settling on your side, you watch as he suddenly looks lost, unsure of what to do now. Itâs cute, this powerful man rendered helpless by something as innocuous as sharing a bed.Â
You canât help but laugh at him and he looks down at you, eyes wide. Taking pity on him, you make a suggestion. âIf youâre not tired you could read to me.â Joel opens his mouth to refuse but you blurt out a quick, âI did almost die, you know.â He glares at you but his lip quirks up. He grabs the book from the other room then flops back down in bed, opening to a spot in the middle.Â
Frowning, you reach out to touch Joelâs arm. âDo you mind starting from the beginning?â He rolls his eyes but flips back to the first page. You grin triumphantly as you settle into his side. Joel places his arm around your shoulder as he begins to read. âIt is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wifeâŚâÂ
His southern drawl mixed with the Romantic Era style of writing makes for an amusing but pleasant combination. After a few chapters, your eyes get heavy and Joel feels you nodding off against him. Jane has just been invited to Netherfield Park but even that canât keep you awake. Joel puts the bookmark in to save your spot and places the novel on your bedside table.Â
You grumble in weak protest as he tucks you in and turns off the light. âWe can keep reading tomorrow. But right now youâre going to sleep.â Joel lies down beside you and with the pale light of the moon through your curtains you can see him studying you. He caresses your face and you close your eyes, delighting in the sensation.Â
âDonât ever scare me like that again,â he whispers.Â
You force your eyes open, needing him to see the truth of it when you pledge a soft,âI wonât. I mean it.â
Joel nods gratefully and you reach out for him. He slides into your arms and you rest your chin on the top of his head. Heâs watched over you for long enough. Itâs your turn to take care of him and reassure him that, in this moment, you both are safe.Â
For most, an outright admission of affection is needed to understand how you feel about the other person. But you and Joel are cut from the same cloth, stubborn and slow to reveal your feelings. In this world, for people like you, âI love yousâ are rare and replaced with actions and deeds.Â
You realize that even though you've never told Joel that you love him, youâve shown it. Joel has been showing you all this time too and you were just too dull to realize it. While you know youâll long to say the words to him soon, for now itâs enough to have him in your arms.Â
Joelâs breathing deepens and you feel him completely give himself over to sleep. Looking at his face bathed in the moonlight he looks like a new man. His edges soften and his vulnerability brims to the surface. It tugs at your heart and you understand how rare of a sight this is for Joel to allow anyone to see.Â
Smiling sleepily, you close your eyes and nestle into him. This feeling coursing through you is something foreign but familiar, an old friend you thought you had said your final goodbye to long ago. The love you have for Joel will leave you vulnerable. But itâs a price youâre willing to pay a thousand times over.Â

Thinking about Price being possessive over his boys. Not romantically or sexually (he likes to tell himself), but any time Soap starts chatting about some bear he met in a bar during leave, or Gaz mentions a girl who gave him her number, he can feel himself bristle. He tries to bury it, but it only gets worse after Las Almas, their bonds forged in far too much blood, and he struggles to bite down discouragement for any connection outside their little family.
When soap and ghost finally get together, he canât figure out which of them he wants to throttle, but the sensation is intense nonetheless. Enough that he canât stop himself from ordering them to his office and dressing them down so meticulously his old drill Sargent would be proud. They both look defiant. At perfect attention, military perfect in their stance, but fire in both of their eyes. Itâs only when Soap, jaw clenched, demands if Price is going to transfer them that the Captain falters.
He sits heavy into his chair, and orders his boys at ease.
âI could never let go of either of you,â he finds himself gritting out through cigar smoke and choking emotions, far too unfiltered, âI just donât want you boys to get hurt.â
He sees them soften, understanding. Not expecting a real answer, Price asks them their intentions with one another. He doesnât want either of them to hurt the other, and while he knows they both have hearts of gold, theyâve got a lot of thorns as well. But they talk, and Soap is his usual genuine self and Ghost- Simon, really - is more honest and open than Price has seen him be ever, soâŚ
He says okay. But keep me updated, he says. The good and the bad. They nod, and he assumes heâll have to pry information out of them, and they move on.
Miraculously, they do keep him updated. Soap comes knocking one day, and Price asks about those reports he sent him off with and Soap says, aye, captain, got those for you, but ahâŚcan I tell you something sweet Ghost did for me today? Heâs bursting with joy when Price looks at him properly, and how can he say no to that?
Ghost, too, comes in one day, and asks to speak with the captain. Need some advice, sir. Johnny wants to take me home to his family for the holidays and Iâm feeling real conflicted, he says. And they talk it out, fingers playing with the rims of their whiskey glasses. Price gets this feeling in his chest, likes he wants to reach out and trace his fingers somewhere else, but he ignores it.
It keeps happening that way, Price getting deeper and deeper in their relationship. He knows everything about the two together - almost everything. Ghost is on a solo mission one day and soap is moping, and so price pulls him into his office with the intention of getting him plastered and making him go to bed.
Instead, Johnny gets talkative. He should have known.
âGod, Price, you wouldnât believe the things he can do with his mouth. His fingers, too, lord knows where he learned it, but itâs like he took a fucking class on making me cum just from the teasing alone.â
âYouâve heard his voice captain, I mean no wonder I was creaming my pants to be with him so bad, and boy was I right. Downright evil how good it sounds during and early morning shag.â
And, even worse than all that, somehowâŚ
âWell you know me, I like to be the best. So I told him we should start training my throat, so I can actually take his monster cock, the bastard. Did pass out the first time but weâve been taking it slowly but surely ever since.â
And Price justâŚhe should shut him up, but instead, he just takes it. Just lets the lad ramble about his love, like some lass back at home pinning for her deployed soldier. He hates it, he hates it, he tells himself. But he takes it for Johnny, and for Simon, and for the trust they have put in him.
And when he fists his cock in his quarters later that night, aching from being hard for so long, he canât help but picture all those filthy things Soap told him.
Maybe, all this time, he was just jealous.

âIs that homework?â
Potter did not sound annoyed. In fact, he never sounded annoyed by anything that Tom did. Disappointed, maybe, but never annoyed. He laughed at Tomâs insults and grinned at Tomâs dry jokes. Only because he was incapable of taking anything seriously, no doubt.
Tom said, âIt is an essay on the defensive applications of ancient runes against class XXXX plants.â
âSo itâs homework.â Potter perched his chin on his hand like an infatuated schoolgirl. âWhatâs your favourite class?â
âI thought we had jointly decided against sharing personal details,â Tom commented, licking the tip of his index finger before turning the page of his herbology text.
âIf youâre going to blatantly disregard my very serious order to sort out these millions of boxes of files, then I think Iâm entitled to a bit of questioning.â
Tom shut his textbook with a sharp thud and turned around. Once again, Potter was wearing an easy smile, like they were two old friends chatting while having a cuppa.
âYouâre pathetic,â Tom said with a roll of his eyes, dispensing with the veneer of politeness.
âYouâll have to hit a lot harder than that to damage my ego.â Potter lounged back in his chair and gave it a slow spin. By the time his rotation had completed, he was smirking. âBesides, I donât see what youâve done thatâs so impressive, seeing as you wonât tell me any of it.â
âI am going to be Head Boy next year, and that is all you need to know.â
âI put out Fiendfyre with my bare handsââ
âHardly.â
âAnd my lovely, soon-to-be Head Boy intern wonât even tell me what his favourite class is. Tragedy has struck me, truly.â
Tom folded one leg over the other. âWhat was your favourite class?â he demanded. âQuidditch?â
âGot it in one.â Potterâs shit-eating grin intensified. âAnd defence class.â
Defence class. Potter would be good at duelling, Tom could picture it. That defiant, determined expression Potter had worn before approaching the Fiendfyre. Wand held confidently at the ready, shoulders impressively broad, navy robes whipping with the windâ
âI could take you,â Tom found himself saying.
Potter eyed him. âIn Quidditch? Or defence? Because while Iâm sure youâre very talented, Tom, I donât think youâd stand a chance at either.â

So this might be a hot take, probably not to any fellow Marius/Armand shippers but for people who dislike them I know this scene is quite controversial...
But, I love the bath scene and yes I do think in the context of the story that was a "good" thing for Marius to do.
"But Armand was a sexually traumatized minor with amnesia and the first thing Marius thought to do was to have sex with him?!"
-Yes, something that would be an extremely bad and a morally corrupt thing to do in real life can be a good thing within the context of the story you are reading.
"But Armand didn't want it! He was practically mute; he couldn't say no!"
-But he did want it, he literally thinks in his mind that he wants it before Marius does it, and Marius can literally read his mind.
Any hesitation Armand has is more to do with religious shame then not wanting it, which feels like a classic erotic scene, shame giving way to pleasure when your older more experienced partner guides you through it. And yes, a real minor cannot consent to a 1,500 year old vampire but again heâs not real and the key is to pay attention to the actual sentiments Armand is expressing in this scene, that of repressed desire and pleasure. He's filled with "warm thrilling sensations" he doesn't claim to feel bad in any way.
I also want to disagree with this notion that Armand instantly clings to any "abuser" that shows him an inch of kindness. Armand did not cling to his slavers, not the man who was "nice" to him and didn't make him do sexual things and stopped him from being beaten.
On the contrary, Armand is endlessly defiant towards his abusers and only surrenders in Marius's arms because he feels safe and loved with him, partially because he sees Marius as some sort of ethereal being and not a normal man. And also, because he finds Marius attractive of courseđ.
The boys in the brothel being âsoftâ with him, heâs not into it at all.
The old man who never touched him, and showed him âkindness,â Armand saying he didnât love him.
Armand finding Marius hot lol
Armand feeling like an active participant in his sexual experience with Marius, âWe began the kisses again,â not Marius did this to me.
I know a lot of people say that Armand is an unreliable narrator in this scene, which I find silly because even if he is, this is still his emotional truth about this experience, and he doesn't feel bad or exploited or like he was raped by Marius 500 years later. I think you're supposed to take the "victim's" feelings about an event into account, no?
But for the sake of argument let's look at Marius's perspective of this scene from Blood & Gold.
So Marius is pretty lost in the daddy sauce from the moment he scoops Amadeo up, his caregiver instincts take hold lol
He's truly in his element.
Marius confirms that Amadeo is quite accepting and willing with his intimacy unlike how he was with his abusers.
I see this quote thrown around a lot without context, but all you need to do is keep reading and, oh wait that's not so sinister... He literally stops wanting to die because of Marius's kisses.
I also see this line used a lot to show how "bad" this scene is.
But again, I'd argue based on everything we're shown in TVA this has more to do with religious trauma/shock then being traumatized by what Marius is doing. We know Armand does not reflect on this experience in a negative way and remembers it being pleasurable.
The immediate after math of the bath.
"He was breathing as though he were safe." and "Yet in his mute expression now I saw pure trust." And Amadeo immediately calling him "Master." To me this shows that the bath was in fact a healing experience for Amadeo, he feels incredibly safe in Marius's bed, he's not having nightmares, and he's looking to Marius as his Master already without being told or influenced to think that way. And well, yes this doesn't heal his religious trauma or bring back his memories, (I don't think even the greatest head in the world could do that) it does relax him in the moment and make him feel good, which is exactly what Marius wanted to do. I certainly don't think there's evidence to support that it traumatized him or was a negative experience for him in any way.
All this to say, I don't think you're wrong if this scene makes you uncomfortable or grosses you out. I think it's perfectly valid to have big problems with the way AR wrote about teen sexuality and age gap relationships, but what I'm sick of is people acting like I'm stupid or a pervert for not "getting it" and finding this scene appealing. I get that a situation like this involving a real minor and a real adult would be inherently traumatizing for that minor, but Marius and Amadeo are not real, Marius is an ancient vampire without a human sexuality, not an adult man using Amadeo for his own pleasure.
Just because I find their relationship kinky and appealing does not mean I lack media literacy, but if you think Armand's story is supposed to be about his trauma from being "sexually abused" by Marius, I am going to question if you are actually reading the text as it is written, or if you are projecting your own feelings of discomfort onto Armand's character and their relationship as a whole. For me the crossing of taboos is a feature of Rice's vampire relationships not a bug, I like the father/son/lover dynamic that they have.

Daddyâs Boy- Part Four//t.c.
Warnings: some sexual undertones and angst
Timmy joined you in the kitchen, and he said, âSo, I can sense that you werenât happy about me not calling Theo last night.â
âI wasn't very pleased, no. I know that this is all new to you, Timmy, but youâll have to realize the seriousness of this. You canât go making promises all the time without following through. Youâve got a child counting on you now. It's not a game."
âI understand.â he accepted your criticism humbly.
âI hope you do. Itâs a lot of responsibility, itâs not just play time. He's going to put his trust in you, not just love. And youâre not always going to get along with him. He's a good kid, he's sweet, but he can be unruly. I donât want to sound like I'm harping on you, but these are just the facts of being a parent."
âI know, I know. I wonât fail him again. Iâll be there for him. I want to be with him as much as he wants a father. I accept the responsibility. Youâre not alone anymore, y/n.â he stepped closer to you.
You could feel something. Something in the air. You could feel a strange tension between you and him.
âBut tell me, was it just Theo that was upset about me not calling, or was it you too?â He asked, a smirk toyed with the corners of his lips.
âTimmy, I donât know what youâre talking about.â you were defiant. You knew he was on to you.
âOh, no, I think you do.â he was walking towards you, lowering his gaze at you. "Look, I think about you all the time. I mean, even before we saw each other again. I haven't stopped loving you since we broke up."
"Timothee, we really don't need to get into it." And you didn't want to. It was one of the most painful points in your life.
"I'm sorry. I just feel like you were angry because you were waiting for me to call. It wasn't just about our son."
Wow. Hearing him referring to Theo as "our son," that...that was unexpected, and hot.
âTell me, do you still think about us?â
You couldnât believe the words coming out of his mouth, you opened your lips to speak, to answer him, but nothing came out.
âBecause I do. I remember everything we used to do together.â he had now closed the space between the two of you. He was dangerously near. All of your senses had absorbed him. He smirked as he said, "I remember everything."
"Timothee." you warned. This was not good. You didn't know if you had the power to resist him. This was the only man you ever loved. He was good, kind, and you could see him becoming a great father. On top of it all, he had somehow gotten more good-looking in the last three years. How attracted you were to him in the past had nothing on the way you wanted him now. It was so unfair.
"What, y/n?" he stared at you, teasing, no real expression on his face other than desire. "I remember how much you loved my hands all over your body, my tongue...I can be that guy for you again. I have missed you, I've missed your body, I've missed our life together." His hands were on your waist.
Your heart thumped rapidly in your chest, you felt the longing in your groin. It would only take one move from either of you and it would be on. "No, Timmy, we have to think about Theo. We shouldn't do this."
"I love that little boy. I would do anything for him, and I'd do anything for you. I'll do anything to prove it." He slid his hands around to rest your lower back, "For now, just...be with me, my sweet girl."
Your hands landed softly on his chest as he pulled you close. You noticed how difficult it was to breathe in this moment. It was everything you had hoped for all this time, there were countless nights where you had dreamt this moment.
"No." you removed your hands from his body and backed out of his embrace. "I can't."
Timmy stood there for a second, then put his hands in his pockets awkwardly, "Okay. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed you felt the same way after all this time."
You sighed, nothing could be further from the truth. "Look, let's change the subject. Would you want to set up a schedule for when you'd spend time with Theo?"
"Yes, yeah, I'd love to."
..........
You referred to your calendar with reminders of play dates and appointments for Theo. Timmy gave you his work schedule as well. You told him of certain medications to give Theo for different situations, such as if he has a tummy ache, as well as his regular allergy medications.
You asked Timmy if he had a room that Theo could use as a bedroom for when he stayed over at his place. When he said yes, you suggested getting a humidifier for the boy's room to help him breathe better as he sleeps.
You gave Timmy your parent's phone numbers for future reference and emergencies, if he can't get ahold of you first. Timmy was focused as he listened to you, and he asked questions. You could tell that he was taking everything very seriously. You wanted to trust that he could take care of Theo, and you felt like everything was on track for that to happen.
"Well, he has a doctor's appointment next week. It's just a regular check up, nothing serious. But he doesn't like doctors very much. He's sensitive to the cold stethoscope, and he hates having that popsicle thing shoved in his mouth. But would you be willing to try and take him?"
"Yes, I want to step up and do those things. But what do I do if he starts to be difficult, do I scold him?"
"I don't do the gentle parenting thing. Just be firm with him, and donât be afraid to get in his face. He tends to get embarrassed about certain things, so that could be to your advantage. He might feel ashamed if you make it seem like he's not acting his age. Also, youâre still new in his life, so he may not think you will discipline him, and heâll try to get away with a lot. Donât give in to that.â
"Okay, that's all great to know. I can improvise when the moment comes." he chuckled. "It's getting late, I'm sure you need to get to sleep soon, so I'll get out of your hair."
"Oh, I'll send you a list of foods he will eat, and stuff he will not eat. And other things if I can think of them." you got up from the table.
Timmy stood up as well, "Thanks, I appreciate it. And, I know you're just being a good mom, but would it be alright if I learn some things about him, from him? I don't want my relationship with my son to feel like it's coming from an instruction manual."
"Oh god, I'm doing too much, aren't I? Iâm sorry.â you sighed, and ran your hand through your hair.
"No, no, it's okay." Timmy laughed, "You're doing a great job. I appreciate you helping me so much through this. But you can trust me with him. Iâm going to mess up, itâs inevitable. But he's smart, he can let me know if I'm doing something wrong."
You put your hands on your hips, recalling the times your son has sassed you, "Oh, yeah, that's for sure. And I hate to come on so strongly when it comes to him, and maybe itâs too much, but I just want whatâs best for him. I think youâll do great, Timmy.â
He smiled, âYeah, I totally get it, y/n.â
You smiled back at him, suddenly you felt the tiredness in your body. Your bed had been calling your name, but you couldnât hear it because Timmy was around. He had a way of commanding your attention. âIâll walk you out.â
âŚâŚâŚ
âWell, I'll talk to you soon." He said as you walked toward the front door together. He stopped, leaned in and kissed your cheek. Then, he closed his eyes, "Sorry."
"It's okay." you said, brushing it off as if you felt nothing.
He shook his head, no doubt thinking of the past, how he'd kissed your cheek a million times. He said, "Goodnight." then walked to the door to leave.
"Timmy, wait." you said, not even knowing what you would do.
He stopped in his tracks, then turned toward you.
You went to him, put your hands on his face, you noticed the lines under the edges of his eyes; the smile lines that only added to his beauty. You had caught a glimpse of what your son would look like in twenty-five yearsâ time.
He watched you, tentatively. His gaze was soft as he looked down at you.
You closed your eyes, leaned in and kissed him.

hi, ziggy! ahhh i missed hih â¤ď¸ could you pretty please do something for jealous!eddie where maybe somebody flirts with tooty because she got that milf glow after she had the babies lmao ily â¤ď¸
anonđđ thank you for the req! this took a little spin and has an open ending, but!!! the twins are in this and some other familiar faces â¤ď¸ might get a part 2? who knows!
a night out without the kids. almost an unheard of event. but tonight corroded coffin were performing their annual concert the night before halloween.
sissy & oz toted their overnight bags up the paved sidewalk to grandma and grandpaâs houseâ the same house you had once called home when the wheelerâs took you in as a teen.
reaching the front door eddie squats to eye level with the twin three year olds. âokay you two,â he says in his fatherly tone, âlast time you stayed the night grandpa said you terrorized the cat.â
âi no do it daddy,â sissy speaks her little voice high pitched and tattling, âows chaseded hims.â
a frown spreads on her brothers face his brown eyes pleading, âi did not! sissy made tinky swim in the potty!â
eddie bites his lip to hide a laugh and you take a deep breath, âthatâs another thing, the catâs name is bruce, not stinky.â
âbut mama,â sissy complains, head held high in a defiant poseâ one eddie recognizes as a mini version of his wife, âboose 's hard to say.â
eddie ruffles her hair and stands up, talking out of the side of his mouth, âalways arguing like someone else i know,â
his large hand slides down the curve of your ass pinching the leather fabric snug on your skin, giving it a tight little squeeze.
âeddie!â you scold, swatting his hand away, ânot in front of the babies.â
he grabs your waist and pulls you back into him before you can rap your knuckles on the front door. his mouth is hot in your ear, âsorry mama,â he purrs, dancing his tongue on the shell of your ear, âyou just look so fucking hot tonight.â
sissy and oz are both slapping the door with both palms as it swings inward. âwhoâs makinâ all that racket?!â
âgwampa! itâs us!â
âissy and ows!â
wayne smiles as big as he always did when his grandbabies visited, âare you sure yâall ainât no robbers are ya?â
âgwampaâs silly, daddy!â oz squeaks, squeezing wayne tight around his leg.
eddie grins and chuckles, âaww nah buddy that word is âsenileââ
you smack eddie in the chest and usher the kids inside to play with their cousin, alex. âthanks for watching them tonight, we really appreciate it,â you say to wayne reaching through the threshold and giving him a hug.
âah, ainât no problem,â wayne says flipping eddie the bird behind your back, âkaren and i love these little turds.â
âu too oh two be good for grandpa and grandma okay? eddie hollers, âbe nice to the cat, sissy⌠iâm talkinâ to you.â
her little nose wrinkles into a pout and her brows furrow together.
âswear to christ himself, that kid is the spittinâ image of you, tooty.â
âgod help me.â eddie pouts, âiâm gonna go gray before iâm forty.â
â
you kiss the kids goodbye and wave from the windows of your jeep before heading to the hideout. eddie looked particularly good tonight, leather pants, a cut off shirt, he even let you smear some eyeliner on his eyelids before tonightâs gig.
ânervous?â you ask, carrying some cords from eddieâs old van that now belonged to big d.
gareth walks past you with an amp, ânot really, the hideouts like home away from home, makes me feel 18 again.â
you smile and ruffle his still thick curls, âwill coming tonight?â
a sad look replaces his smile, âhavenât talked to him in a week⌠last i heard from jonathan he was staying with joyce and hopper.â
âheâll come around man,â eddie says coming through the back door, âhe loves you.â
âyeah, i hope.â
â
the boysâ men nowâ rocked a killer show, fans still screaming for the band even though half of them were married and the lead singer had two kids.
you were front in center, in your designated spot that you always stood after the first show where eddie sang âlady evilâ just for you.
now you were sporting a new homemade shirt, âsitterâ crossed out with âmamaâ his old leather jacket on your shoulders.
a hand sits on your lower back you giggle, âjeez nance, how drunk are you?â
only it wasnât nancy, but a random guy. burly and tall, a thick beard on his face matching the short hair on his head, balancing a cowboy. you didnât recognize him from anywhere and you pull back with a shocked face,
he smiles and you can smell liquor on his breath as he leans in real close, âbeen watchinâ you all night little darlinâ looks like you need a drink.â
you scowl and turn away from him, looking for jonathan and nancy but theyâre nowhere to be found.
âhey,â he blunders stumbling towards you, âyou like cowboys?â
you donât want to give him the time of day or even the satisfaction of a tasteful retort so you do your best to ignore him, looking at eddie as he turns to thrash the guitar riff with jeff.
eddie turns back around to continue the song and shoots you a wink, the same time a big sloppy pair of lips press on your cheek, hard and unwelcoming.
you didnât see eddieâs eyes turn to black or the way he dropped the neck of his guitar hands balled into fist, you were seeing your own scarlet red, turning and slapping the face of the drunk asphalt âcowboyâ.
eddie cuts the band and grabs the mic, âhey fucker!â he pushes his lips in a smooch and whistles like a dog, âhere boy, up here.. yeah youâ the guy who just got slapped.â
cowboy slap face looked up to the band, âwhat?â
âyou must be new to town, huh? a drifter maybe?â
he lifts his head and spits on the ground, âwhatâs it to you?â
eddie laughs a little crazy-like, â⌠that,â he says pointing to you, âis my wife⌠and iâm sure you donât know this or maybe your marbles are a little rattled up there with the cobwebs, but..â he jumps from the stage in a dramatic flare, wet hair bouncing behind him, skin slicked in sweat.
he tossing the mic behind him, standing tall and flicking the brim of the guys hat, toe to toe. âiâm not afraid to kill a man.â
âyouâre bluffinâ,â
âwouldnât be my first, and for her,â he says moving you behind him, âwonât be my last,â
âŚ.
