king of my heart
𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭: jeon wonwoo x f.reader
↳ I'm perfectly fine, I live on my own. I made up my mind, I'm better off being alone. We met a few weeks ago. Now you try on callin' me "baby" like tryin' on clothes
𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐞: soulmates au?, non idol au
𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 3.2k
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: so much fluff, they’re both so incredibly down bad for each other, wonwoo rides a motorcycle (I don’t know if that’s a warning), smut warning below the cut
𝐚𝐧: my next story for SVT inspired by reputation songs by taylor swift. This is part of a loosely connecting series called “all for you” you can absolutely just read this as one shot. Vernon’s story is coming soon about him and his girl that’s mentions.
part two

𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐬!
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: unprotected sex, big dick wonwoo, breeding kink, cum play, cum eating, body worship, breast play (wonwoo is boob obsessed), praise kink, glasses kink?(mc gets really turned on by wonwoo glasses), nicknames: baby (both)
It all felt like a whirlwind meeting him. You had lived your life mostly alone. You had moved to the city after college away from your family. You were heavily focused on your career. You had lived alone for the last two years and never even tried dating.
You met Wonwoo on a Friday night when a couple of coworkers convinced you to go out with them. You couldn’t say no to Mingyu when he practically begged you to join him and his friends. You and Mingyu worked for a publishing house.
Something tells you Mingyu wanted to set you up with Wonwoo all along. The moment you were introduced you were drawn to him. He’s so handsome and charming. You shared an instant connection with him you had never shared with anyone before.
Since that first night you met you couldn’t stop thinking about the boy with glasses. You went on your first date after only knowing each other for two days. He took you on a sunset picnic by the river. You instantly realized you had a lot in common but you were also quite different, but in a good way. That night was the first night you rode on his motorcycle. You never knew you could be so attracted to a man who rode a motorcycle before him. He took you home walking you up to your apartment. You had no issues with sleeping together on your first date, but Wonwoo said he wanted to wait a little. He said the anticipation of what’s to come will make it worth it. So that night with you pressed up against your front door you shared a heated kiss goodbye.
It’s only been two months and you can’t get enough of him. He still gives you butterflies and his touch feels electric. You spend almost every day with him one way or another.
His body is plastered behind yours as you lay on your side. His hand grips your soft stomach as he slowly thrust into you. This has been a normal way you’ve been waking up with him. You found out very early on that Wonwoo is quite fond of morning sex. Waking up with Wonwoo erection poking your stomach gave you an idea of how your morning was going to go. It didn’t take him long for him to slip off your underwear and push your oversized shirt up. You can’t help but question why you even try to sleep wearing clothes when Wonwoo is in your bed.
Pushing your hips back you can’t help but gasp at how deep he’s hitting. This is one of your favorite positions with him. He’s so big that when he’s behind you he feels like he’s going extra deep.
“Baby,” he moans your latest nickname he’s started calling you.
Everything about Wonwoo is perfect. Even his body is perfect. His wide shoulders and slim waist, and his dick is the biggest you’ve ever had. You don’t know how you’ll repay Mingyu for basically setting you up.
Wonwoo falls apart filling you to the brim. You learned early on that Wonwoo loves fucking you raw and has a fascination with coming inside you. Sometimes you wonder if he's trying to get you pregnant.
Sitting on his knees between your legs he watches intently as his cum drips out of you. His finger slowly scoops some up before pushing it back inside of you.
“You know you're the first man I have been with who seems obsessed with coming inside me,” you tease.
“Does it make me territorial!?” He smiles.
“Possibly, but you don’t try to dom me while you do it.” Your hand glides down your stomach and slowly dips through your fold smearing around his release.
“Do you want me dom you?” He asked, arching his eyebrow.
“Not really. I like the way things are with us.”
“That’s good because this is about as kinky as I get,” he laughs crawling off the bed. He disappears into your bathroom that’s connected to your room. He comes back holding a warm washcloth. Gently he wipes away the mess that you’ve both made.
“I think you’re kinkier than you give yourself credit for. You definitely like to overstimulate me. You also are definitely obsessed with my boobs.”
He walks over to the nightstand putting on his glasses. Shaking his head, “and you’re obsessed with me fucking you while I have my glasses on.”
“Who can blame a girl?” You slowly sit up. He presses his lips to yours for a soft kiss. “Oh we can’t forget the time you thought it would be fun to edge me.”
-
“Has Wonwoo convinced you to go to Seungcheol's birthday tonight yet?” Mingyu says sitting a cup of coffee down in front of you.
Going to events with Wonwoo’s friend group still felt odd to you. You weren’t used to a man proudly wanting to take you to things.
Before you started dating the man who has been stealing your heart, you didn’t realize you have a few mutual friends. Before your first meeting you had Mingyu mention Wonwoo’s name a few times. It turns out you and Wonwoo had a few mutual friends. One of them is your coworker Mingyu and the other two are friends from college Vernon and Sweetie. The latter who is now dating another friend from the boys’ friend group Soonyoung.
“Has my boyfriend recruited you to help convince me?” You take a sip of your iced coffee. Seungcheol birthday party has been a conversation with your boyfriend for over a week.
“He mentioned a couple times that you felt awkward going,” he sits down in the chair in front of your desk.
“I’m awkward in social settings. Hell I never went out with anyone from work until that night a couple months ago when you convinced me.” You we’re quite the homebody before you started working with Mingyu. Back in college you really only had two friends: your roommate at the time, sweetie and her best friend Vernon.
“And look what happened you went out and I got you a boyfriend,” he smiles. Mingyu is never going to stop bragging about the fact that he successfully set up you and Wonwoo.
“I guess I don’t need to go out again since I got myself a boyfriend. I only need one. I don't need to go try to find a second one.”
The eye roll he gives you makes you feel like you’re winning this conversation. “Very funny. (YN) just go to the party. It’s just a get together on the rooftop of Seungcheol and Shau’s place. We’re not going clubbing or anything.”
“Why do you and Wonwoo want me to go so badly?”
“Because your boyfriend wants to be able to show you off. Wonwoo wasn’t really a relationship guy before you. Let him be the doting boyfriend he loves to be with you.” It seems like both you and Wonwoo we’re fine on your own before you met.
“Are you going to bring any one?” You attempt to change the subject.
Leaning back in his chair he suddenly seems shy. “I have a friend who might come with me.”
“Is this certain friend a girl who works at your favorite coffee place.”
“Yes.”
“Okay,” you smile before taking a drink of your coffee. “Has she ridden on your motorcycle yet?”
A smile pulls at his lips, “maybe.”
-
You’ve been home from work for about an hour before Wonwoo lets himself into your apartment. He finds you sitting on your couch with your laptop looking at a book manuscript.
He looks extremely hot with little effort. He’s wearing jeans, a tight fitting white shirt and a leather jacket. It’s clear by the helmet in hand he rode his motorcycle over.
“Hi,” you close your laptop.
He doesn’t say anything, he walks over and presses his lips to yours for a heated kiss.
“I thought I would stop by before heading to Cheol’s birthday.”
“Did you miss me already,” you tease.
“I always miss you.” He pulls away sitting his helmet on the coffee table.
“You just saw me this morning.”
“Maybe that’s too long ago for me,” he sits down next to you.
“How can I get you to go to Cheol’s party with me?” With the amount of times he’s brought up this party it’s clear it's important to him. You’re starting to feel selfish for giving him such a hard time about it. When it comes to being in a relationship with him you know you both need to compromise sometimes.
“You really want me to go, huh?”
“It would be the first time most of the group is together and I would like to introduce you to more people.” He pushes his fingers through his hair. “Also a few of the guys Soonyoung, Jihoon, and Shau’s girlfriends will all be there.”
“I'm already friends with Soonyoung and his girlfriend. Are we forgetting she was my college roommate?”
“Just humor me and come. Please.”
“Do you have a second helmet or are we taking a cab to Cheol’s?”
“Let’s take cab so you can wear one of your cute little dresses.”
-
Parties and get together we’re never your favorite situation to be in. Things don’t feel as overwhelming when Wonwoo is holding your hand through it all.
All of Wonwoo’s friends are nice and they all seem very excited to get to know you.
Jeonghan went on a rant telling you how Wonwoo talks about you all the time at work. You feel your cheeks burn as you hear about all the kind things your boyfriend says about you.
Mingyu arrives at the party with a pretty girl. You assume it’s the girl you’ve heard him talk about. Anytime he’s ever mentioned her he sounds absolutely smitten.
“I think that girl with Mingyu might actually make him change his ways,” Wonwoo whispers in your ear. You’ve through working with Mingyu, and from dating his best friend/roommate that Mingyu isn’t normally the dating type. He likes to love and leave them. Most of his relationships seem to be only sexual.
“He looks happy,” you say.
“He is. Maybe he’ll find what we have,” he kisses your temple. “I’m going to get a drink. Why don’t you talk Vernon?”
Your boyfriend heads off to the table that is set up as a makeshift bar. Walking over to the edge that looks out onto the city. Vernon is standing there with a red cup in his hand. He seems lost in thought.
“What are you thinking about?” Vernon looks up at you before taking a sip of his drink.
“Do you ever think that you’re destined to be with someone?”
You’ve been thinking about this a lot recently. Your opinions on it now are drastically different then they would have been at the beginning of the year. “You know if you would have asked me this three months ago I would have said no. But since meeting Wonwoo I feel like a part of me has always been missing before him. He makes me feel whole in a way I didn’t even know was possible.”
He leans back against the rail, “sounds like you’re in love.”
“I’ve been in love before, but nothing has ever felt like this.”
Vernon gives you a smile before taking another drink. “Sounds to me like maybe Wonwoo is your soulmate.”
That word has been floating around in your head for over a month. At the rate you fell in love with Wonwoo it didn’t feel real. Before him you were perfectly fine being alone. But somehow he changed everything.”
“Maybe he is,” looking over at the bar area you find him smiling while he’s listening to Joshua and Jun tell him something. You love when he smiles and makes your heart flutter. “I think I need to tell him I love him.”
“Have you guys not said the big L word?”
“Not yet. I think I will tonight.”
Vernon has always been someone special to you. He always seemed to understand more than any of your friends. “Why did you ask about being destined to be with someone?”
“It’s nothing,” he looks down at his feet.
“Vernon, just tell me.”
He lets out a heavy sigh, “I used to think I was destined to be with Sweetie back in college. But like clearly that didn’t work out and it’s a good thing it didn’t because her and Soonyoung are so happy,” he looks off into the corner where Soonyoung and his girlfriend are clearly having an intimate conversation. “I always cared about her and I definitely loved her back then, but there is someone else now.”
“The neighbor girl?” You’ve heard him mention the girl who lived across from him, Chan, and Seokmin. He just nods. “Is she still with that guy?”
“I’m pretty sure he’s cheating on her,” he sighs. “I found her crying outside her apartment again yesterday.”
“Have you guys gotten closer?”
“Yeah. I can’t really keep my feelings out of it either.”
“Have you thought about telling her? Maybe it would give her a reason to leave him.”
“It’s crossed my mind.”
Wonwoo walks up behind pressing his lips to the top of your head. “Hey Vernon.” He reaches over patting Vernon on the shoulder.
“Hey Wonwoo. I’m gonna give you guys a minute.” Vernon instantly excuses himself.
“Is he okay?” Wonwoo asked.
“I think he will be.” You can’t help but be sad for Vernon. He hasn’t exactly been the luckiest when it comes to the dating department.
Wonwoo hands you a red cup with what looks like beer in it. Staring at him watching as he takes a sip you feel like a college girl drinking beer out of plastic cups with the boy she’s fascinated with.
“Wonwoo?”
“Yeah baby?” He gives you that same smile that melts you every time.
“I love you.” Normally you would be terrified to say those words first, but with Wonwoo you’re anything but scared.
“That’s good, because I’m head over heels for you,” he steps closer to you. Leaning down presses his lips to yours for a heated kiss.
“Does that mean you love me?” You want to hear him say those three little words.
“I absolutely love you.”
You lean forward and kiss him again. You won’t ever get enough of the feeling of his lips on yours. Wrapping his arms around you he holds you close. There is something so warm and safe about being in his arms.
He releases you from his hold and leans down pressing his lips to your again.
“I need to use the restroom,” you want to get Wonwoo alone away from all his friends for a few moments.
“It’s downstairs in Cheol’s place.”
“I really need you to go with me,” you lace your fingers with his.
“Oh, I’m assuming you don’t need to pee?”
“Not at all.”
-
Bent over the sink he slowly thrust into you. Glancing up into the mirror, your eyes focus on Wonwoo reflection. The site of his hair a little messy and his glasses on as he fucks you turns you on even more. Strong hands grip your hip as he thrust into you quickly.
“We don’t have a lot of time,” he groans. Reaching around he takes one of your boobs in his hands. You learned very early on that Wonwoo has an obsession with your boobs. He loves playing with them while you fuck.
“You’re doing so good for me,” his praises do nothing but spur you on. “You take me so well.”
“Fuck- you feel so good,” you quitely whine.
His hips snap into yours at a quick pace. He’s normally not this quick or rough, but doing this in Seungcheol’s apartment bathroom while everyone is up on the rooftop means he can’t take his time with you.
“I love you,” you moan.
“Say it again,” he continues thrusting into you.
“I love you Wonwoo.”
Putting your hand over your mouth you desperately try to muffle your moans. Everyone might be up on the roof top but you don’t want to risk someone coming into the apartment and hearing what you and your boyfriend are doing. They don’t need to hear you screaming because he’s absolutely railing you in the bathroom.
“I love you,” he moans.
“Harder,” you moan.
He snaps his hips even harder than before. If you weren’t bent over the counter he might knock you over with how hard he’s thrusting into you. Grabbing your bicep he lifts you up so you’re flush against him as his hips thrust into you. His hand slides push the straps of your dress down to access your breast. He squeezes tightly playing with your taunt nipple.
“Baby,” you whimper.
“Fuck-“
You normally like to look at him during sex but he’s hitting inside you so incredibly deep you’re practically seeing stars.
Fall apart together moaning each other's name. He rolls his hips slowly helping you ride out your high while he paints your inside walls white.
“Maybe coming inside me wasn’t a good idea at a party.”
Slowly he pulls out leaving you feeling empty. Your hand reaches down to your core where his cum is already leaking out. He stands there blissed out staring at you. He dips his finger through your slit picking up some of his release. He holds it up to your mouth and without even thinking you lick it off his fingers.
“Fuck, you’re hot.”
“Maybe we should clean me up, so everyone doesn’t know fucked in the birthday boy’s bathroom.” You say earning a laugh from your boyfriend.
Going back up to the rooftop you try to act like nothing happened downstairs with you and Wonwoo. You let him hold your hand taking you around the party talking to all of his friends. Even though you don’t like parties or anything like that you realize you’ll go to any of them with Wonwoo because you know that makes him happy. You honestly will do anything for him if it will make him happy.
Laying in bed you look over at Wonwoo. He’s adjusting his glasses as he reads something on his phone.
“Wonwoo?”
“Baby?”
“I might sound crazy, but I think you’re my soulmate. I haven’t ever loved anyone like I love you.”
He sets his phone down and gives you a smile, “I thought I was crazy too. I definitely love you more then anyone I have ever loved before.”
“I feel like you have my heart, body, and soul,” you say.
“You have stolen every part of my existence,” he leans over, pressing his lips to yours for a heated kiss. The longer you’re with him the more you realize he is truly the king of your heart, body, and soul.

“I need to tell you something.”
Shitfuckno. Eddie doesn't even know why he's still surprised. This is how it always goes, after all. He should probably just give up and stop dating altogether – again.
Steve looks at him exactly as ominously as the words I need to tell you something require. Perfect Steve. Funny Steve. Sweet Steve. Sexy Steve. Steve, who Eddie had genuinely believed to be different.
Eddie sighs, barely suppressing a dark chuckle while he turns away from that perfect face. He doesn't want to look at Steve when he'll tell him the undoubtedly messed-up shit he's about to spill.
“Lemme guess, you're married?” That was what the last guy he dated told him, seven months after they got to know each other. It can't be much worse than that, can it?
Steve grabs Eddie's hand, causing him to involuntarily jerk up his head and meet his eyes.
“How did you know?”
Jesus H. Christ. Not again.
Eddie roughly pulls his hand out of Steve's grip and laughs a joyless laugh.
“Apparently I'm a good guesser.”
He stands up from the park bench the two of them had been sharing. “Well, Steve, this has been a blast. You should go back to your wife, or husband – don't tell me, I don't even wanna know – and I should um, get going. Maybe tell the next person right away what they'll be getting themselves into. Would save them a lot of wasted time, just in case cheating and going around other people's backs isn't really their thing, y'know.”
“Eddie, wait, let me explain!”
Eddie picks up his pace, but Steve, stubborn as he is, easily keeps up with him.
“I'm really not interested, man.”
“It's not – I'm not cheating on her!”
“Okay, so you have an open marriage, good for you. Still the kind of information you could've shared with me, say, three months ago, don't you think?”
“She's a lesbian.”
And that makes Eddie freeze on the spot. It takes Steve two steps before he realizes Eddie has stopped moving; he walks backwards until he's standing right in front of Eddie.
“She's my best friend,” he says, immediately using Eddie's stunned silence to his advantage. “Robin, my roommate – I told you all about her. We wanted to buy a house together and that turned out to be very complicated when you're not... Well, when you're not romantically involved. So we got married. For the, um, practical reasons. We never – we're like siblings. I love her like a sister. But she's also my wife. Platonically.”
It takes a few seconds until Steve's words sink in. Then, Eddie leaps forward and basically collapses into Steve's arms, needing to hold onto him to prevent himself from crashing to the ground.
Steve's arms are warm, strong, and as safe as ever.
“Eddie, are you okay?” Steve asks softly. His lips brush against Eddie's ear while he speaks, and worry colors his voice.
Perfect Steve. Too-good-to-be-true Steve.
“Jesus Christ, Steve,” is the only thing Eddie manages to say.
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you,” Steve says. “It's just – I've gotten some, um... Less than ideal reactions, in the past, whenever I told this when I was seeing someone. So I thought it'd be better to wait until things were getting serious.” He sighs, tangling his fingers in Eddie's hair. “I didn't wanna scare you off. Are we – are you okay?”
Eddie nods. He lifts his head from where it's resting against Steve's shoulder and raises his hands to squeeze them around Steve's face.
“We're okay,” he says. “And I'm sorry I didn't want to listen to you. I–” He stops; he can't find the words right away. It's still difficult to talk about those things; to let himself be vulnerable. But Steve has been honest with him, so it's only fair to return the favor.
“I've been hurt, Steve,” he confesses. “More than once. I've had some really shitty experiences with dudes not being honest with me. I thought that that was what was happening again, and I couldn't – I couldn't go through that again. Especially not with you.”
“Jesus, Eddie, I'm so sorry.”
“It's okay,” Eddie rushes to say, pulling Steve even closer towards him. “I trust you.” And as soon as these words leave his mouth, he knows it's the truth.
“I do want to be absolutely clear about one thing, though,” Steve says.
Eddie leans back in Steve's arms to give him an expectant look.
“Robin is my wife. I'm not planning on that to change anytime soon. We've been through a lot together. She's been the most important person in my life for years. We own a house and a dog together, and I love her more than anything. I like you a lot, and I promise you I'm all-in with you, but... Robin is still my number one. And that's not gonna change overnight. I need you to be okay with that.”
Eddie swallows. He looks into Steve's eyes. All he sees is a man who is honest, who loves his friends deeply, and who refuses to make any compromises when it comes to love – whether it be the platonic or the romantic kind.
It doesn't scare Eddie off; it only makes him fonder of Steve.
He smiles, glances around to check if they're alone, and presses a quick kiss against Steve's lips.
“I think I can live with that,” he says. “As long as I'm the only one who gets to do this.” He closes his eyes and lets his lips meet Steve's again.
The sigh that Steve breathes into their tentative kiss is one filled with relief.

Can i ask for Cassian x reader fic where the reader becomes friends with Bryaxis?👀
Like someday she decides to go down to the lower part of the library and meet the monster everyone is so afraid of... and finds Bryaxis, silly guy who just wants some friend to talk to. And the reader begins to visit him from time to time, chatting nicely and just having a good time
And poor Cassian so stressed out with these two😮💨
Friend and Foe
Hello!! Thank you for sending me this request, it was so much fun to write!! Sorry it took me so long but hopefully the Domestic Cassian makes up for it, we love a man who can cook 🥹
Bryaxis really is just a silly, goofy guy
Enjoy 🥰
Word Count: 3.1k
After being mated for all of two months, Cassian had basically begged you to move into the House of Wind with him. It really hadn’t taken much convincing, especially after Rhysand had ensured you that you wouldn’t be imposing.
So the very next day, your belongings were all packed, Rhys using his magic to move them for you, and Cassian was helping you do a final sweep over your old apartment, barely containing his excitement as he reassured you, yet again, that everything was sorted.
“Okay, I think I’m good. Ready to go?” You asked with a final glance around the room.
Cassian, who had given up on trying to convince you to stop fussing and had instead decided to sit on the floor by the window, jumped up with a broad grin stretched across his face.
“About time.” He teased, pressing a soft kiss to your lips, your forehead, then your nose, before wrapping an arm around your waist as he led you outside.
As soon as you had locked the door behind you, Cassian was scooping you into his arms and leaping into the sky, flying you towards your new home.
*****
You had been to the House of Wind multiple times, but this time felt different; you weren’t going there to visit Cassian, you were going there to live with him, to start your life with him.
You nuzzled your face into his neck, pressing kisses along it as he tightened his grip on you, quickly approaching the balcony that jutted out of the mountain.
Upon landing, you prepared yourself for Cassian to place you back on your feet. Instead, he shot you another wide grin and walked towards the balcony doors with you still in his arms, not letting you down until you had crossed the threshold.
“Welcome home, sweetheart.” He softly said before pulling you in for a kiss.
You smiled against his lips, realisation finally hitting that this would be your everyday from now on, the thought causing you to wrap your arms around his neck and tug him further down to you.
“Now, please remember,” Rhysand’s voice drawled, “this is still a shared space.”
You broke away from your mate, cheeks reddening in embarrassment, but Cassian simply looked annoyed at the interruption.
Giving him a sheepish smile you, for the hundredth time, thanked Rhys for letting you move in.
“Don’t mention it, it’ll be good to have you around.” He brushed off as Azriel entered the room.
“Especially if it means we no longer have to listen to Cassian complaining about how much he misses you, how far away you are, how—” But the Shadowsinger was cut off by Cassian throwing a book at his head and shooting him a glare.
You grinned at them all and laughed alongside Rhys, surprised at how quickly you had grown comfortable around Cassian’s brothers after only really meeting them a few weeks ago.
“Anyway,” Rhys interrupted, picking up on the taunt that was seconds from escaping Azriel’s lips, “We were just heading off. Figured we’d give you the night to…settle in”
With a wink at you and a teasing ruffle of Cassian’s hair, the two males made their way out towards the balcony before flapping their wings and heading towards Velaris.
“So…” Cassian started, eyeing you with an intensity that you had first seen after accepting the bond. “Where should we start?”
You knew he wasn’t talking about unpacking.
*****
It had been three months since you had moved into the House of Wind. Cassian had made space in his room for all of your belongings and the two of you had set out redecorating it together to make a space of your own.
You had fallen into a routine, not just with Cassian, but with Azriel as well.
Your mate had decided to take it upon himself to set up a training and defence program for you. But, when he first caught sight of you in your skintight Illyrian leathers, he had quickly decided it wouldn’t be the most productive use of your time and had handed the task over to Azriel instead; although, not before muttering to keep your leathers on for later, with a wink and a pat on your ass as he sauntered back inside.
You had also grown a lot closer to the rest of the Inner Circle, finding that there was always someone floating around if Cassian was away.
Now, however, you slumped into one of the plump armchairs and let out a sigh. Cassian and Azriel were both away checking in on the Illyrian war camps, Mor and Rhys were at the Hewn City, and Amren… you weren’t entirely comfortable spending time alone with her just yet.
Deciding you couldn’t spend another day aimlessly roaming around the house, you made your way towards the library that was built into the mountain.
You had dragged Cassian there after first moving in, spending hours marvelling at all of the books whilst your mate trailed after you, looking as though he wanted to be anywhere else. You, however, happily let him follow along, handing him book after book to carry for you with a cheeky grin that he couldn’t say no to.
This visit, however, had you wanting to explore the deeper parts of the library, with a sudden desire to browse through some of the ancient texts that you hadn’t had the chance to peruse yet.
The further down you went, the more intrigued you were by the seemingly never ending darkness that spiraled into the depths of the library.
Whether it was out of boredom or pure curiosity, you pulled one of the swinging lanterns from the wall and let it guide you through the inky black space, the lights from further up growing smaller and smaller with every step, the shelves of books coated in a thick layer of dust and cobwebs.
Despite the silence and the darkness of the unknown space, you felt at ease as you reached, what you could only assume to be, the bottom of the black pit.
Edging further into the space, the light coming from your lantern begun to flicker and you tensed at the sudden rustle of movement from behind you.
“Hello?” You cautiously called out, stretching the lantern further out to illuminate more of the room. Straining your ears, you listened closely for the slightest sound of movement, instead, however, a small cluttering sound bounced across the floor and ended by your feet.
Looking down you saw the small stone that had been thrown from the darkest corner of the space. Not quite knowing what to do, you slowly leant down to pick it up, turning it over in your hands a few times as you squinted into the darkness.
There was another quiet rustling noise and then another stone came into view, stopping where the other one had landed.
You picked this one up as well, your expression a mixture of puzzlement and amusement. With a quiet laugh to yourself, you gracefully threw the first stone back into the corner, watching it bounce across the floor before disappearing into the darkness.
A pleased sounding gasp of excitement filled the space around you and then the stone was bouncing back towards you in a hurried manner. You were smiling now, throwing both stones back and waiting with anticipation before they were sent your way again.
Still feeling unsure about playing this game with a creature shadowed by darkness, but not being one to question the weirdness that seemed to live within the Night Court, you sat cross legged on the ground and continued to bounce the stones back and forth.
“I’m Y/N, by the way.” You said into the darkness, feeling somewhat silly and not expecting the reply that followed.
“I know. I’m Bryaxis.” The chilling voice of the darkness replied.
*****
After that initial trip to the pit of the library, you found yourself heading down there at least once a week. You continued your game of throwing the stones back and forth but as the visits built up you found yourself asking questions about the creature and, in return, he provided you with a deep insight into the long forgotten histories of the world.
Walking back into the House of Wind after one of your library trips, you were surprised to find Cassian in the kitchen surrounded by numerous pots and pans and piles of food.
“Hi,” You greeted excitedly, leaning up on your tiptoes to plant a kiss on his cheek. “You’re back? I thought you wouldn’t be home for another few days. And you’re cooking?”
Hand still holding a wooden spoon, Cassian turned to face you, his other hand cupping your cheek as he lent down for a kiss.
“Hi,” He said against your lips. “Az took over for me,” Another kiss as he backed you against the counter. “Thought I would surprise you.”
You hummed against him, content in letting him wrap his free arm around your waist as he hoisted you onto the kitchen bench, legs coming up to wrap around his waist as you deepened the kiss and knotted your hands through his hair.
A sudden hissing sound had Cassian jumping back and turning in horror as the pot of boiling water started to splatter out across the stove.
“Where were you, anyway? You weren’t here when I got back.”
Content to have your mate beside you again, you absentmindedly swung your feet as you helped yourself to the pile of cut carrots he had set aside.
“Down in the library.” You answered between mouthfuls.
“Oh?”
You dipped the carrot into the bowl of a sauce looking substance, deciding you liked it and going back for seconds. Cassian, noticing this, flicked your nose and moved the sauce out of reach.
“That’s for later.”
You poked your tongue out as you jumped off the bench and moved to stand next to him as he stirred the still sizzling pot.
“Yeah, it’s a bit weird. A few weeks ago when you were away I got bored and wanted to explore the library a bit more,” Cassian turned his back so you helped yourself to whatever was simmering on the stove, earning your nose another flick and a sound of mock outrage from your mate.
“Anyway,” You continued as you lent against the bench, content in watching him cool for you. “I got right down to the bottom of the pit and met this creature,” You weren’t really sure how to describe your newfound friend, you had never actually seen his true form. “And we’ve sort of become friends, I guess?”
You laughed at the silliness of how it sounded, not noticing how Cassian tensed. “You never mentioned anyone else living in the library, his name is—“
“Bryaxis.” Cassian interjected, looking at you with an expression of horror and concern.
“Yes, that’s him” You said excitedly, still missing your mate’s distress.
“Y/N,” Cassian took your hands in his trembling ones and looked over you as though checking for any signs of harm. “Please tell me you’re joking. Did Rhys set you up?”
You stared back, surprised by his response, “Cass? What’s wrong?” But he didn’t seem to hear you.
“Have you seen him? Are you hurt? Y/N, how long has this been going on?”
“I’m fine? And no, he always stays in the dark. Why are you freaking out?”
But Cassian couldn’t answer, simply pulling you into a tight hug as he buried his face in your hair.
“Promise me you won’t go back.”
“Love, you’re starting to scare me—“
“Y/N, I need you to swear it to me. I can’t believe I didn’t know this was going on…” He trailed off, the haunted gleam still present in his eyes.
You were stunned by his reaction, not once had you seen Cassian acting so spooked. Sure, he tended to get a bit possessive around other males but this was entirely different, he seemed completely and utterly fearful of the thought of you being in Bryaxis’ presence.
“What happened? He’s never done anything to cause me harm. We just sit and talk and throw stones back and forth… Is there a reason he’s down there?” Maybe you had missed something, and Bryaxis was, in fact, some sort of monster.
Cassian pulled back, still somewhat wary but you could feel the tension leave his body.
“No, he’s always just been there. I had… an encounter with him, years ago—“
“Did he do something to you?” You cut in with concern.
“No, but… You said you haven’t seen him?”
You shook your head, still at a loss for what had brought all of this on.
“Good. Good,” Cassian muttered to himself now, turning back to finish dinner. You silently got some plates out for him to serve up and opened a bottle of wine, still watching your mate from the corner of your eye.
*****
You were both sat at the table but Cassian couldn’t seem to bring himself to eat, merely pushing his food around on his plate.
With a sigh, he looked up at you, “Y/N, you know I’d never usually ask this of you, and be so…,” He trailed off, swirling his wine before taking a sip. “Please, I really don’t want you going back down there.”
Now it was your turn to sigh, putting your fork down as you reached out to grasp his hand.
“How about this, you come down there with me—,” Cassian started to interject but you gave him a warning look to let you finish. “You come down there with me. You can see that he’s not this monster you seem to think he is, and if not, then we’ll talk about it. But I’m not just going to stop visiting, as weird as it sounds, he’s my friend.”
Cassian knew there would be no changing your mind on this, so with a grimace of a smile he reluctantly agreed, sighing at the beam of a smile that lit up your face.
*****
It had taken weeks to get Cassian back into the library, and not for a lack of trying on your part. Whenever you were both not doing anything, you would suggest heading down there. And every time you did, Cassian would suddenly have something he needed to do, or would mercilessly distract you and leave the library as a long forgotten thought in your mind.
This time was going to be different, you refused to let him weasel out of it again.
“Love, what’re you doing right now?” You innocently asked as you sat yourself in his lap, wrapping your arms around his neck.
“Nothing, nothing at all.” You expected as much, especially when he lent in and trailed lingering kisses along your neck.
“Good,” You stood up, pulling him with you. “Come with me.”
Your conspiratorial grin had Cassian thinking your mind was on something else, so he eagerly followed after you, pausing when you walked in the opposite direction of your bedroom.
“Sweetheart…?” You just walked back to him, holding his hand and dragging him alongside you.
Once you got to the library entrance, it finally clicked what you were doing.
“No. Absolutely not.”
“Cassian.” You said but he was slowly taking backwards steps away from the library door.
“I just remembered, Rhys needed me to—“
“No he doesn’t. I already checked.”
The frantic panic in his eyes had you almost feeling bad about deceiving him. Almost being the key word.
“Cassian,” The commanding tone of your voice had him stopping in his tracks. “If you don’t come down there with me, right now, then there’s no more sex.”
He gave you an unconvinced look, clearly thinking he was calling your bluff.
“I’m serious. This has gone on long enough. No more sex until you go down there. In fact, I’m staying at the town house until it’s done.”
Cassian stared you down with a torn expression of frustration and disbelief. You stared right back, letting out a sigh of relief as you watched determination spread over his face.
“Fine,” He was a man on a mission, marching towards the library and grabbing your hand in his as he walked by to keep you at his side. “Let’s get this over with.”
*****
You didn’t even try to stop your delighted grin as you headed down into the deepest depths of the library.
As the lights flickered and as darkness started to surround you both, you felt Cassian beginning to tense and slow his pace. Refusing to let him change his mind, you sent a wave of emotions down the bond that told him exactly what he would be missing if he bailed on you now. Cassian squeezed your hand in response, his steps picking up as you reached the bottom of the pit.
“Bryaxis?” You called out, rubbing your thumb in soothing circles over Cassian’s hand when you felt him tense up beside you.
There was movement to your left and then the lamp you had brought down with you flickered out. You could feel something curling around you, flicking your hair in a playful manner, causing you to smile. This was going to be fine.
You turned to Cassian to tell him as such, but the chilling voice that you had since grown accustomed to spoke up in a rasp.
“I didn’t think I would be seeing you again. Not after last time, Lord of Bloodshed.”
You sensed, more than saw, your friend move around your mate and that seemed to be too much for Cassian.
“No. No, Y/N, we’re done here.” And then he was holding onto your hand as though his life depended on it and bolted back towards the stairs.
Your confused laugh sounded out and was met by the amused laugh of Bryaxis swirling through the darkness.
“I’ll see you soon, friend.” His voice followed after you, all traces of the harrowing rasp he had used on Cassian was replaced by a genuine fondness.
“I won’t bring him next time,” You replied in farewell, gesturing towards your mate who was frantically trying to drag you away.
Cassian let out a groan. He knew there was nothing he could do to convince you to never come back down here. You gave his hand a reassuring pat, sending a wave of gratitude and love down the bond. You didn’t know what had happened between Cassian and Bryaxis during their last encounter, but at least your mate had tried to face him for you.

Hey! saw u asking for prompts. I REALLY LOVE ur fic 'worth it'!
Anyway, can you write a fic based on '' we get married in our heads'" "I miss you on a train" and 'I think about you' basically based on About You by The 1975. Maybe mel and r have met in Italy, when they're both in vacation. Became real close or something but never really did talk and pursue what was really going on between them because both are scared, then they part ways and never had contact with each other 'cause they thought it's better that way, until reader arrives at abbott as the new teacher not knowing she'll see the redhead again
Hey, thank you for the prompt! I’m glad you’re liking Worth It. I hope you like this, it has a lot of angst because apparently my brain deemed it necessary but a happy ending.
Don’t Let Me Go
Warnings: Angst with a happy ending, Sad Mel (yes this is a warning because I don’t like it when she’s upset)
Words: 3.6
Beautiful green eyes stare back at you in your mind. You just got back from Italy where you were teaching a child English during the summer and that’s where you also met her, Melissa Schemmenti. She was visiting some family members of hers during summer vacation for 2 months.
You still remember meeting her. You were sitting on the patio of a coffee shop reading an Italian- English dictionary so you can help teach the child better. She saw you sitting there and thought you were beautiful, sitting there, with some sunglasses on, a smile on your face and the sun hitting you, making it look like you’re glowing. She decided to walk up to you and start conversation.
“That book makes you stand out as a tourist.” She told you and you looked up at her and saw those eyes, those green eyes that you still think about in your mind.
“Well I think the book and the fact that I’ll look completely clueless if someone talks to me in Italian will make people know I’m a tourist.” You replied back to her and she laughed. A laugh that you think about constantly that you hear in your mind.
You and Melissa became friends after that, you went out to places together and she showed you the places that Italy had to offer. You learned that she was a teacher as well and that she lived in Philly. You both talked about everything and told each other all about yourselves. And in the 2 months of you two knowing each other, you both became attracted to each other, although neither of you mentioned it. And then when the time came for both of you to go back home, you both decided it was best to cut contact, since you won’t see each other again.
“Are you sure?” You asked her and she nodded.
“I had a great time with you these past 2 months but we’re not going to see each other again so why keep contact?” She said and you nodded. “It’s for the best.”
5 years later…
You recently just moved from New York to south Philly. You were on a train, just coming back from picking up the last of your things from your parents house in New York that you gave to them to keep for you. You were listening to music when you saw someone with red hair walk on and then you thought about her, the beautiful Italian woman you met 5 years ago during the summer. You still think about her of course, and wondering if you should have told her how you felt before you parted ways.
The next day you wake up, you’re starting your new job as Abbott Elementary’s new 3rd grade teacher. You walk into the entrance of the school and went to the main office to get your badge and classroom key. As soon as you walked you ran into someone. You went to go apologise to the person, but as soon as you looked at them you froze. It was her, the woman who still sometimes occupies your thoughts and dreams.
“Melissa?” You say to her quietly, in disbelief that she was right here in front of you. Melissa was just as shocked as you were, and then you looked into those green eyes that you only saw in your dreams now and they made you feel safe.
“Y/N?” She said back to you, just as quietly. “Wha-what are you doing here?” She asked you.
“I-I’m the new 3rd grade teacher.” You stuttered out. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m a 2nd grade teacher here, have been for many years now.” She said.
Before either of you can say anything else you get interrupted. “Hey Melissa, can I talk to about the curriculum we got this year I have a couple of questions.” A younger teacher said to her. And then she saw you. “Oh hi, are you a new teacher here?” She asked you.
“Ya my name is Y/N Y/L/N, the new 3rd grade teacher.” You tell her and hold out a hand for her and she shook it.
“Oh how lovely to meet you! My name is Janine Teagues. I’m a second grade teacher here like Melissa here.” She told you.
You left Melissa and Janine to talk and you went to your classroom to set up before the kids get here in 30 minutes. You didn’t get the chance to do it the week prior as you were in the middle of moving and the principal said it’s fine and just emailed all the information that you needed to know.
You were putting up some fun posters with the help of a stool when she walked in without you realising it.
“Y/N?” She said. You didn’t know she was there so it took you by surprise and you fell off the stool face first. She caught you, of course, and when you realised she did, you opened your eyes and saw hers staring at you. “I’m sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.” She said and let go of you when you found your footing.
“It’s alright, you caught me so it’s fine, no harm done.” You told her and walked over to your desk to organise some papers. “Was there something you needed?” You asked her. You tried to seem calm on the outside instead of freaking out like you were on the inside. The truth is that you missed her. You missed her as a friend. You only knew each other for 2 months but you became really close and even knowing that you only had 2 months, feelings had to of course get in the way.
“I thought I’d never see you again.” She said and when you looked up at her, she looked hurt. Hurt about what? You don’t know. Melissa was trying to be neutral about this, you both thought it’d be better to cut contact before you parted 5 years ago. And in that 5 years, she never forgot you, and seeing you again, she realised how much she missed you. She remembered showing you around, walking and running around, hand in hand, smiling and laughing. She thought about finding you constantly, she could have asked one of her guys to find you and they would have, but that scared her. She became attracted to you in those 2 months and she never told you, she knew you’d never like her back the way that she likes you. She knew you were attracted to women, but she thought you’d never be attracted to her.
“Well considering that we said it would be better to not have contact with each other when we parted, then I can see why you thought that.” You said coldly and she was taken aback by that. The truth is that while you were excited to see her again, it was originally her idea to cut contact, and she convinced you that it was for the best. And now here she is talking to you after she so easily left you behind. “Look Melissa, I don’t know what you want but, we became friends in Italy but we haven’t spoken in 5 years because you thought that would be for the best.” You told her and she nodded looking guilty. “So I think it would be best if we continue that way.” You told her and it hurt to tell her that but you have to protect yourself against her. She hurt you 5 years ago and while you wanted to be her friend again like before, she might just hurt you again. You’re not going to take that chance again.
Melissa’s heart broke a bit at you telling her that. She missed you and wanted to see if she could reconnect with you again. But if you don’t want to then she can’t force you. “If that’s what you want.” She told you and you looked at her.
“I think it’s for the best.” You said simply. Repeating the same words she told you before you left to the airport, leaving your heart in pieces and regret for not telling her how you feel. And while your feelings for her never left, you’re still not going to tell her, you won’t give her any chance to hurt you again, to break your heart, once was already enough. At that Melissa nodded and left.
And it seems the universe hates you as Melissa’s room was across the hall. You took a deep breath and continued getting ready before you went to go meet your new students.
You walked outside as students were lining up as they found who’s going to be their teacher this year. Someone called you over and told you to stand where they are so they know where to bring students that were going to be in your class. The universe had it out for you as you were told to stand 4 feet away from Melissa. You both did your best not to look at each other but every few seconds, one of you did.
At one point the sun hit you the exact same way it did when she first met you and the way it hit you again when she took you on a picnic to a beautiful park she knew. She thought you looked beautiful in the sun dress you wore, how it fit your body perfectly and your hair glowing in the sun. After you finished your meal you both layed down on the blanket and looked at the clouds in the sky and just enjoyed each other’s presence. And at one point you took her hand in yours and she turned to look at you, only to find you looking back at her with a smile. And she just layed there, looking into your eyes with a smile, the sun hitting your face, making you look like you’re glowing, like an angel.
It broke her heart that you wanted nothing to do with her now but she understood, she had basically told you that on that very sad day, when you said goodbye to each other, thinking it was for forever. Melissa was used to cutting people off, but it still hurt her when she did. Since you decided that you want the both of you to ignore each other, then that’s what she’s going to do. But she couldn’t stop a smile from forming when you were greeting some of your students with a huge smile.
Unknown to Melissa, Barb happened to look over at Melissa looking at you. She saw her looking at you with a sad smile and longing in her eyes. Barb heard your name being called and that’s when she put 2 and 2 together. Melissa told her about the woman she met on her vacation in Italy 5 years ago whose name was Y/N Y/L/N. And now here she was, the new teacher at Abbott. And from the look Melissa was giving you, Barb thought that seeing you again didn’t go well, since it seemed you were ignoring her. Barb decided that she’ll talk to Melissa at lunch.
The morning went by and Melissa kept looking across the hall to your classroom. She saw how you were with the kids and it warmed her heart. She saw how gentle you were, how you talked to them with a smile, and paid complete attention to them when they talked to you. She felt like she made a mistake letting you go 5 years ago but she thought that you would go and live your life and leave her behind in the end if you kept contact.
Lunch came and like always, Barb met Melissa in her classroom before they went to the break room together. But this time when Barb walked in, she closed the door after making sure it was only her and Melissa in the room.
Melissa heard the door close and saw Barb standing there giving her a look. “What?”
“So am I correct in assuming that the new 3rd grade teacher is the same one you met in Italy 5 years ago?” Barb said, straight to the point. And the sigh and look she gave was all the answer she needed.
“Ya, the same one.” Melissa said defeated.
“And I’m also guessing that meeting her again didn’t go well.”
“She said she wanted nothing to do with me. And used the exact same words I said to her 5 years ago when she asked me if I was sure I wanted to cut contact with her. That it’s for the best.” Melissa sighed and put her elbows on the desk and her head in her hands.
“Melissa…” Barb started but was interrupted by the redhead.
“I missed her Barb, I knew I did but after seeing her again, I realised how much I missed her. Even after 5 years I never forgot her. How is it that we spent only 2 months together and I still think about her 5 years later?” Melissa said, and her voice cracked at the end. Barb could tell she was on the verge of crying.
“Even spending a short time with someone can leave an impact on you. It’s not always the amount of time together but the quality of the time you spend together.” Barb says and Melissa looks up at her , with red eyes. “Oh sweetheart.” Barb says and goes over and hugs her, and that’s when Melissa starts crying. Melissa never told her but Barb knew she developed feelings for the Italy girl. “Have you told her how you feel?” Barb asked after Melissa stopped crying.
“No. Why would I do that?” Melissa asks like the reason was obvious.
“Because maybe she feels the same and that’s why she’s avoiding you.” Barb says and Melissa freezes. She didn’t think about that. But as always Melissa declines it, deeming it impossible.
But the week goes by and Melissa can’t stop thinking about that. She thought about it more and more and the only thing she wanted was to be near you. But during the week, you did everything you could to avoid her. You never put anything in the fridge and you always come in with your own coffee so you never have to go in the break room in the morning. You avoid any possible eye contact when you’re both standing at the doorway, greeting your students. At lunchtime you eat in your classroom or in your car. At the end of the day you don’t look at her and you leave before Melissa does. And when you pass each other in the hall, you don’t even look her way. She sees you talking to other people though, you and Jacob seem to take a liking to each other as you guys have a lot of the same interests. She’s seen you talk to Barb at the beginning of the week but then you found out her and Barb were best friends so you haven’t talked to Barb since.
Before she knew it, one week goes by, then another, and another, and then it was Halloween morning and by some miracle, it was on a Friday this year. Melissa came in dressed as the scarlet witch and of course she saw you checking her out. You came dressed as Captain Marvel. Of course you both had to pick someone from the same universe. Melissa thought you looked amazing in the costume. It’s safe to say that while you were checking Melissa out, she was also checking you out.
And when hell broke loose and the teachers had to find baby thanos, you and her got paired together. While you were walking in the halls together, she kept looking at you. She wanted to talk to you and she had the perfect opportunity too, but she didn’t know how to start.
“Would you stop looking at me please.” You told her, well I guess you started it.
“Sorry, I want to talk to you though.” She said and you looked at her.
“That’s interesting, because 5 years ago you told me that we shouldn’t talk to each other again.” You countered.
“I made a mistake.” You looked at her a bit shocked. She certainly got your attention now. “I shouldn’t have suggested that we stop all contact. I regretted telling you that right away. I thought about looking for you, multiple times but I never did.”
“Why didn’t you? Why did you suggest cutting contact if you regretted it?” You asked her, and she dragged you into the nearest classroom and closed the door.
“Because I got scared Y/N. I got scared of how I felt about you. I didn’t just think of you as a friend, well I did at first but then I got feelings for you. And I knew that if we kept contact then eventually you’ll find someone else and live your life and leave me behind. I didn’t want you to hurt me when that happens so I decided that it would be best if we forget each other. But it backfired, because I never forgot you, I thought about you constantly.” Melissa said, and she got a bit choked up trying not to cry. “And then when we bumped into each other after 5 years, all I wanted was to reconnect with you and tell you how sorry I was for letting you go. But when I tried you wanted nothing to do with me and it broke my heart when you said that.” A tear fell down her cheek and her eyes were rimmed red.
You looked at her after her confession, whatever you thought she might have said that, that was not it. You didn’t know what to say, your brain processed everything she said. “You had feelings for me?” You said, and Melissa looked up into your eyes and saw that you looked hurt, the same look you had when you two said goodbye to each other.
“Have actually, I still have feelings for you, they never went away like I thought they would.” She confessed and you were shocked.
“I have feelings for you as well.” You confessed.
“You-you do?” She asked, not believing it to be true.
You nodded. “That’s why I thought it would be best if we stayed away from each other. It hurt when you told me that we shouldn’t speak to each other again. So when I saw you again, I was excited to see you again and then I remembered the pain from you leaving me behind so easily. I didn’t want to get hurt again. So I thought that I would spare myself the pain in the future and just not talk to you now. I regret not telling you how I felt then, but I thought you wouldn’t feel the same way because you’re…well… you know, you’re u. You’re so amazing and sweet and gorgeous, you could have anyone you want. You told her.
“Anyone except you, I could have anyone except the person I actually want.” She said with a tear rolling down her cheek. “If I told you 5 years ago how I felt then I could have had you, but I guess I missed my chance.”
“Who said that was your only chance?” You asked her and she looked at you confused. You walked up to her and wiped away the tear that’s rolling down her cheek. Her breath hitched when you did that, she wanted to get close to you again for almost 2 months now and to think it might happen, she just couldn’t think right now. She wants to respond, to make up for lost time, she doesn’t want to fuck it up and lose you again.
“Are you saying that you’re still willing to be with me?” She said and you nodded.
“I constantly thought about you as well, and you ended up in my dreams at night too. Almost like you were haunting me.” You joked and Melissa let out an airy chuckle. You touched your forehead with hers as you both basked in the happiness you felt of being near each other again.
“Y/N, I missed you so much, I regret ever letting you go.” You pulled back and cupped her cheeks.
“Then don’t let go now.” You told her and she wrapped her hands around your wrists while your hands were still cupping her cheeks.
“I won’t, I’m not going to make that mistake again.” And with that you leaned in and kissed her. She kissed you back almost immediately. You both felt safe , you felt at home. She moved her hands from your wrists and laid them on your waist. While you moved them from her cheeks to around her neck.
“Well it’s about time.” Barb said, smiling from the doorway, and you both backed away and looked at her. “I convinced everyone to pair you guys up so you would talk to each other and hopefully work it out, and looks like you do.” Barb said proudly and Melissa smiled.
“Thank you Barb.” Melissa said and then looked at you and pulled you to her and hugged you. She then pulled away and looked at your eyes. “I promise I won’t let you go.” She told you and you smiled at her.
And she said the same promise to you at the end of her vows on your wedding day.

author's note: Hiiiiii! Don't have much to say except I hope you all enjoy this. I feel like it's really cute and I think I'm doing pretty good on giving small insight on Megumi's personality, Toji's parenting, and what led to his divorce with Megumi's mother who I've decided will be named Ayano. Her name won't come up here but it will down the line. Toji's past will be revealed more and more as the series continues.
“Um, daddy?”
“Yeah?”
“Where are we going again?”
“A graduation.”
“Oh. What’s that?”
“It’s a ceremony.”
“Oh. What’s that?”
“Sigh…”
On a regular day, a simple drive with his son babbling about nothing in the backseat wouldn’t be so nerve wracking. However, today was a bit special.
Toji was genuinely shocked when you gave him your number after months of friendly flirting. He never actually expected to get anything from you, he was having too much fun watching you get frustrated. But, now that he thinks about it, you have been warming up to him for some time now. The two of you only ever talked at the gym. You went in only a couple of times a week, so he had to make every second count. And he may have purposely changed his availability so he would be there.
You hadn’t said yes to a date just yet, but he’s hoping it was only a matter of time. The two of you were becoming much closer with each other, sometimes spending hours just talking on the phone. Last night’s call was especially sweet. His ears have been heating up all morning from thinking about it. You were so excited about finally graduating, not having to worry about school for what may be the rest of your life, and starting your career. You were so ready for a steady income and to move out of your parents’ house. And it took everything within him to not suggest you move in with him instead of living on your own, as he knows how expensive it can get.
The journey to your graduation was a bit nerve wracking. He knew he’d be anxious when you invited both him and Megumi a week ago. A couple of family members hadn’t been able to make it, meaning Toji would be meeting and sitting down with those who could. Meeting the family before even one date. Unheard of.
He hadn’t even met his last wife’s family before marrying her. He can see how stupid of an idea that was now that they’re divorced. Imagine how much heartache he could have avoided had he done so.
After going through hell (finding parking) he lifts Megumi out of his car seat and takes his hand to follow the hordes of people heading to the auditorium. Looking at his tickets, Toji heads over to their assigned seats.
He sees a group of people who resemble you and deduces that it must be your family. At first he panics. He wonders if you told them about him coming or if he should even say anything. But, his question is answered when the older woman of the group taps his shoulder after sitting down. He guides Megumi to sit in the seat next to him, to which he simply refuses by putting his arms on his father’s lap and jumping to try and climb it. Toji rolls his eyes and lifts his son up.
“Are you the person my daughter Y/N invited? Toji?” She asks. Ah, so this was your mom. You don’t really look like her.
Toji puts on his charming smile and holds his hand out to her. “Yeah, that’s me. It’s nice to meet you.” He gestures to the little boy on his lap. “This is my son, Megumi.”
Megumi, who’s usually shy, lifts a small hand up and waved at her, looking down and away nervously. Your mom twiddles her fingers which makes him smile. “Aw,” she says and reaches over to tickle his stomach. Megumi giggles and kicks his feet. Toji jerks his head back in shock.
“Is this Toji?” He hears.
Your mother turns to the man sitting next to her and nods. “Mhm. And this is his son.” Megumi gets nervous again and his smile drops, but he does give a small wave. The man waves back and looks up at Toji. He holds his hand out. Now you do look like him. This must be your father.
“It’s nice to meet you.” Toji shakes his hand and says the same. The other two look over at the commotion and smile. Toji waves at them. Megumi hides his head in his shirt.
“Hi! You’re Toji?” One of them asked. She looks to be around the same age as you and sounds like it too. In fact, so does the boy sitting next to her. “I’m Kennedy. This is my brother. We’re Y/N’s cousins.”
“It’s really nice to meet you,” he said after introducing himself as Kwame. “She talks about you all the damn time.”
Toji’s smile freezes and he rubs the back of his neck. “She does?”
Everyone nods and starts going on and on about how much you gush about him. Up until he accepted your invitation, he was known as, “the fine ass gym owner”, a statement that made him blush even harder. However, it was nice knowing how you truly felt about him. It’s not as if you would ever admit to having a crush in front of his face.
He was a bit shocked. Yeah, you flirted back with him from time to time, but you didn’t actually like him, right? It was just…friendly banter. Right?
Some time passed before the lights in the auditorium dimmed and the graduation music began to play. As much as Toji loves that you asked him to come and as excited as he is to see you, it was extremely boring. The only reason he was awake was the clapping from various families. Didn’t bother Megumi, though. He was fast asleep in his father’s lap. Thank goodness, too. Megumi hated staying still if he didn’t have anything to distract him. It was something Toji was working on with him. He’d be getting somewhere with it, and then Megumi would go see his mother and it’s as if she pushed some sort of reset button and he was asking for Toji’s phone again.
Toji was feeling a bit anxious. Your name hadn’t been called yet, and even when it was, there were still hundreds of other students after you. It’s only a matter of time until-
Feeling a stirring on his chest, Toji tears his eyes away from his phone to look into his lap. Megumi was twisting back and forth into his shirt. He did this a few times before sitting up and rubbing his eyes with a yawn. “Shit.” Toji whispered to himself.
As if it’s a homing beacon, Megumi twisted his head to his father’s hand where his phone was being held. He reached out for it, becoming irritated when Toji put it in his pocket. Megumi looked up at him begrudgingly while Toji stared back. Crap. Megumi was a good kid overall, but he was still just a kid. He really didn’t want to have to leave because he started crying, and he also didn’t want to give Megumi the phone. Well, he would have to make a decision soon, because Megumi’s chest was heaving and getting worse with every passing second. His eyes grew big and sparkly, his bottom lip started to poke out, ahh shit.
Like an angel in disguise, your mother leaned over his lap and smiled at Megumi. “Did your daddy make you mad?” Toji’s jaw drops then drops even more when Megumi actually nods.
“Aw, come here baby,” she holds her hands out and lifts him into her lap when he reaches for her. “Don’t cry, hm?”
“Don’t you want to watch your friend graduate?” As if Megumi knows what graduate even means, he nods his head again. Toji is appalled. She flips him around and points to the stage where you had actually just gotten to the stairs. “Look. It’s Y/N.”
Megumi doesn’t know who she is either, he hadn’t met her yet. But still, he looks around for a face he does recognize, and Toji takes this chance to talk to her. “How…how did…”
“Hold on, she’s about to walk,” she shushes him. Toji turns his head back towards the stage where he sees you standing at the top. He sees your black and blue cap and gown, your decorated neck, and the bright smile on your face and lights up. He adjusts his posture.
You begin to walk and Toji takes notice of your heels. Your legs and feet look fantastic in them. He wondered what dress you were wearing underneath all that. He knows it looks great on you.
Your name is called, and he joins your family in a round of applause. Even Megumi starts clapping. Toji decides to throw in a whistle, laughing to himself when you turn to the crowd in confusion. You try to look for him in the crowd to no avail, but you smile anyway and walk off.
Toji leans back in his seat, still reveling in your smile, but stops when he feels some eyes on him. He turns to look at your mother who was giving him a stare he couldn’t read. Megumi was successfully distracted. He was counting on his fingers. Hopefully the number was 1000.
“So,” she starts, “how long until you’re ready to put a ring on her finger?”
After a second of choking on his own spit, Toji responds. “I’m-what?”
“What comes after 19?” Megumi asks.
“20,”Answers your mother.
“Oh.” He puts one more finger up. Afterwards, he puts all of his fingers back down and starts again. “What comes after that?”
“21.”
“…Oh!” And he starts silently counting again while mouthing the words to himself.
She looks back up at Toji who was waiting patiently for an explanation. “Well, now that she’s a graduate and is entering a sustainable career, I think she’s more than qualified to be a wife. Don’t you?”
Toji blushes profusely. His heart runs a mile a minute. He doesn’t know what to say or think. Is that why she’s been so nice and talkative to him? She thinks they’re dating? What have you told her?
She was anticipating his answer. Megumi was halfway through his 20s. “Uhm…I mean…yes, but…I think you might have the wrong idea.”
She leans back and gets a wistful look on her face. “Ah, I see,” she says. “You want to wait until the right moment and all of that. Well, I say the right moment is now, but that’s just me I guess.”
Toji’s mouth hasn’t closed for the entire interaction. She doesn’t acknowledge him at all. Just goes back to telling Megumi what numbers come after what.
-
After the ceremony, you all meet up outside and wait for your arrival. Toji decides not to bring up what happened in the auditorium. It was a little awkward, but mostly, he kind of likes the idea that your mother thinks the two of you are dating. No one else has said anything, however. Maybe it’s just your mother being a bit ridiculous.
Megumi, who’s still being held by her, taps her shoulder. “Is that her?” He asks while pointing.
They all look in the same direction and lo and behold, there you were. Your gown was unzipped showing off your beautiful white dress that stopped at your thighs and hugged your curves. It showed only a bit of your cleavage and left a lot to Toji’s very active imagination. Your makeup was stunning, and you had texted him earlier today saying that you did it yourself. You did an amazing job. Your Cajun spice locks framed your face beautifully. You told him you wanted your hair to be blonde so you stopped staining your new growth after bleaching it. Your cap was hiding the blonde. He would have loved to see it.
Your beautiful smile filled his heart, and he found himself gravitating towards you, even getting in front of your family. Your smile grew even bigger as you wrapped your arms around his neck and buried your face in it. He did the same to you and squeezed you closer by your waist.
“Congrats, babe.”
“Thank you Toji. I’m so glad you came.” He rocks you back and forth before pulling away.
“Of course we came.” Your face lights up and you look at your family. You hug and kiss them all, your mother being last. She puts Megumi down to hug you tightly. Toji sees a tear run down her cheek. He looks at Megumi, expecting him to come running back, but he just stands there and looks up at you while holding your mother’s pants.
“Have you met Megumi, yet?” Your mother asks you, putting her hand behind his back and nudging him in front of her.
“No,” you answer, crouching down to speak to him. “Hi Megumi. I’m Y/N.”
Megumi smiled shyly and waved at you. “You’re very pretty. I see why my dad likes you so much!”
“Megumi!” Toji reaches for his hand and picks him up while blushing. Kennedy and Kwame giggle off to the side. Your father was too busy trying to record you to notice what he had said. You cover your mouth and look at him. He knew you were laughing underneath your hand.
“Okay!” Your dad put his phone away after looking at the time. “We have to get going before traffic gets bad and we end up late.”
As if he pressed a button, your whole family jumped into action. Toji looked at you in confusion as you walked up to him. “What’s going on?”
“We’re throwing a graduation party,” you explain. Sheepishly, you rub your ear. “I…wasn’t sure if you wanted to come to that too. It’s mostly going to be family and I didn’t want you to be uncomfortable-.”
“I’d love to come!” He says a bit too excitedly. He clears his throat afterwards. “I’d love to come.”
Your beam made his heart pound. “Okay! I’ll send u the address.” You approached him and put your hand on his arm. His palms became sweaty and he had no clue what you were trying to do, but he was prepared for anything. Especially a kiss.
Unfortunately, you weren’t trying to do that. Instead, you tickled Megumi’s tummy making him giggle sweetly. “Are you okay with that?” You asked while looking at the baby boy.
Megumi nodded enthusiastically. “I love parties!” He shouted.
“Yay! You’ll have so much fun. There’s going to be a kids room, okay?” Megumi nods even more. You take out your phone, send Toji the address, then turn to catch up with your family. Toji continues to watch the back of your head longingly. He’s knocked out of his trance when you turn to look at him. “Come on. We’re going to the parking garage.”
Toji blinks and gulps. That’s right. He could walk you to your car. “Coming.”
-
Toji pulls up to the banquet hall 30 minutes later. Your family had made it a few minutes before, but were all already inside having a time. Getting out of the car, Toji looked around. There were a lot of cars and even more pulling up. Whole families getting out and rushing to the doors, some of them with gifts. Toji’s throat dries up. He thinks he’ll keep his gift in the car.
When he walks inside with his son, it’s clear that he is a fish out of water. There was a large dancefloor already housing hoards of people. He nervously looked around for someone he recognized, and got even more nervous as the seconds went by. He looked at Megumi, who was getting more and more nervous by the second.
He began walking inside with no clear direction. Some children ran past his legs, which captured Megumi’s attention. They took a second to stop and look at the large man that they had never seen before, then went right back to playing. Toji watches them run to the other side of the building and go through a door. Toji wonders if that’s the kid’s area you were talking about. Then, a couple more children run past the doorway, with an adult chasing after them. He’ll assume the answer is yes.
Upon walking through the door, he finds himself in a hallway. It’s a long corridor, but right on the wall opposite to the party, there was an open door. He could see from the cartoon paintings on the wall, the bright colors, the puzzle piece mat, and the sound from within that this was his destination. When walking in, he gained many stares from the various kids inside. He grew worried for Megumi who had his hand over his mouth staring nervously at the crowd of kids. He was gripping Toji’s shirt tightly. He knew his little heart was beating a mile a minute.
Toji pulled his son to the front of him. “Hey,” he tells him. “You’re gonna be brave for daddy, right?” The boy shakes his head. Toji shifts his jaw and sighs. “Come on, Megumi. I’ll…” he squeezes his lips together and his eyes shut, not wanting to have to bribe his son. “I’ll get you pizza and ice cream tomorrow. We can have it for breakfast.”
It didn’t excite him, but it did the job. Megumi nodded his head and let his father put him on the floor. “Of course,” Toji whispered under his breath. He watches Megumi shyly walk up to some younger kids around his age, talking about nothing and playing with blocks. They watch him sit down then go back to playing. Megumi looks back at his dad who gives him a smile and a thumbs up. The boy takes a second, turns back around and reaches for a block. Then, one kid decides to hand one to him. Then another. Soon, Megumi’s being offered blocks galore. Toji feels a warmth growing inside him along with relief. He fit right in. And, maybe he’ll forget about that promise.
“Well that seemed to work quite well, huh?” Says a familiar voice from behind him. Toji turns around to face you. Your cap and gown was off just leaving you in your stunning dress. Your skin looked so smooth, and your hair was even more beautiful than before now that he can see it in its full glory. You never failed to take his breath away.
He clears his throat, checks back on Megumi once more, then follows you back out into the hall. The door leading to the party was closed so the children wouldn’t run into it so easily, and they wouldn't be disturbed in the play room. Despite the blasting music, it blocked off the sound pretty well. “You heard that, huh?” He laughs. “Yeah, it always seems to work. Sometimes he forgets so it still works out in my favor.”
You let out your adorable giggle. “I wasn’t aware that you were so conniving.” You tease.
“You haven’t seen nothing yet, doll.” Toji gives you a sideways grin and leans towards you with his hands in his pockets. You’re beaming with your fingers covering your mouth.
You push his shoulder. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Can’t say. Kids around.”
“Excuse you?”
“You should push me again.”
“I probably will. You always give me a reason to.”
“Can it be because I like when you touch me?”
“Toji!” You exclaim quietly, looking around to make sure no one was in the hallway to hear him. He was giving you the most shit-eating grin. He reveled in making you flustered.
“What?” He feigns, leaning even closer towards you. He gives your face a good once over. Then he looks down at your lips. They look so soft and so full. He just wants to know how they feel on his skin. On his lips. On his-
“Oh my gosh!” You gasp and grab his arm, knocking him out of his trance. “This is my favorite song!” You grab him and run to open the doors, dragging him onto the dancefloor that’s become even more crowded.
Toji’s feeling a whirlwind of emotions. But nothing compares to you throwing him forward and getting in front of him. Your back faced towards him and before you started dancing, you turned your torso to look at him. “Put your arms on my waist.” You yell.
He blinks. “What?” He’s sure he didn’t hear you correctly over the loud music.
“Your arms,” you repeat. You take his hands and put them on your lower torso. “Just catch my whine, okay?”
And he does. And he does it well. You start to move your waist slowly. You’re barely touching him, but he still feels hot all over. He really is perfect. He’s not grinding against you, but he’s not letting you go either. He squeezes you, which pleases you immensely. Both of you feel amazing in the other’s presence. As if you’re the only two there.
All good things must come to an end. The song, the dance, and eventually, his time at the party. It was getting late. He had to get Megumi home. After what you pulled, Toji didn’t even bother to fix the boyfriend allegations. He wondered how awkward that would be. For you to dance so sensually on a man you weren’t with in front of your family. He’s sure they wouldn’t appreciate that. And there were so many people asking him about it. It would be a headache to correct all of them every single time.
Even then, he had a lot of fun. He enjoyed spending time with you and your family, despite how awkward he could get. And you - oh, you. Your eyes didn’t leave him all night. He thought he was imagining things. But when the clock passed 10, and he told you he had to leave, you eagerly followed him to grab Megumi. Him, amongst other children, were asleep. Toji picked him up and carried him outside.
“Good thing you’re walking little ol’ me to my car.” He whispers once they get out. “I wanted to give you something but I was afraid you wouldn’t have anywhere to put them for the time being.” Toji walks around to Megumi’s seat and sits him down safely. He was still sound asleep. He would have been confused, if it wasn’t for the food stains around his mouth and on his shirt. He’ll be asleep until next week. “And I…was nervous and couldn’t think of a good time.”
“Aw, you didn’t have to get me anything.” You assure him. Toji shushes you before strapping him inside. Once he does, he picks up a gigantic bouquet of white flowers, walks back around the car, and gives them to you.
You gasp. “Oh, Toji.” You appreciated all the presents you got, but this was all you really wanted. Something simple and cute that still showed that whoever gave it to you was thinking fondly of you. And they were your favorite.
You accept them graciously. For a few seconds, you and Toji just look at each other. He’s overwhelmed with pride and joy for you. You really graduated today. You achieved something great. Something that he was never able to do. He admires you so much. Not just your looks, but your brain and personality. In his eyes you were…perfect.
Today went just the way you wanted it to. You got to celebrate your achievement with the people you truly cared about. And you did care for Toji. You think it’s about time he knew that.
So, you grab his shoulder, pull him towards you, stand on the balls of your feet and give him a smooch right in his left cheek. You hear his small gasp and it makes your heart run. You began to sweat a bit. The nerve of you, to kiss him like that. He looks genuinely shocked and you almost begin to regret what you did, until he takes his arm and wraps it around your waist before you can pull away. Toji breathes harder and harder as he stares longingly at your parted lips. Then, he finally leans down and kisses you for the first time.
For a moment, your hearts feel as though they’re beating as one. The kiss is tender and filled with need. Toji is steady pushing your head backwards as he deepens it. When he realizes what he’s doing, he stops abruptly and pulls away. You both continue to stare in each other’s eyes as you catch your breath.
Despite his dry mouth, Toji swallows. “I-I’m sorry,” he begins. “I just…I…”
He had seen you smile a lot today, but the one that spreads across your cheeks was the brightest by far. Everything, every anxious thought and insecure feeling he had washes away. “No. It’s okay. I liked it.”
Absolutely perplexed, Toji let’s out a sound of disbelief. He tries to keep from smiling, but he can’t help it. “You did?”
And you nod. Eagerly.
Ever the rascal, Toji gives you his signature side grin and brings your body closer to him. “You want another one?”
His chagrin makes you burst into a fit of laughter and you throw your arms around his neck, smacking the flowers onto his back. Filled with joy, Toji fully wraps both of his arms around you and lifts you up, twirling you around.
And from inside, a couple of your baby cousins watch the adorable scene. One of the older ones took many pictures to show everyone later on. “I told you that was her boyfriend.”

Sugar and Spice : Prologue
Word Count : 1.4k
Warnings : swearing, food mention, cheating, mention of fighting someone, minor hurt
A/N : I'm going to try and do daily updates like I usually do, but I make no promises as I am working on this series as well as Perfect For You and requests. Anyway! This chapter is honestly really tame for what the series is going to be. Just a quick introduction to some of the characters. I hope you enjoy regardless!!! The toxic will come!
His profile was simple, basic. There was nothing spectacular about it. She had other men in her messages with more interesting profiles, with pictures, yet she found herself replying only to catluvr1998. He intrigued her, drew her in, right from the beginning.
After meeting him, her intrigue only grew. He was young and handsome. He certainly wouldn’t need to pay for sex or arm candy, evident by the amount of girls staring at him every time he took her out. Yet his eyes were only on her.
She liked having other daddies, other men on the back burner so she doesn’t get too attached. She knew better than to get attached. Knew what happened the last time she got attached. But with him it was different. He was addicting in the best and worst ways. A drug she couldn’t get enough of. A drug she refused to quit. Even when she found out the secret he tried so hard to keep from her.
“You’re married?” Minho looked at her then to the ring she was holding. The same ring he slid off his finger before every meeting with her, slipping it into his pocket, and forgetting about it until he pulled up in front of the house he shared with his wife.
“Yes.” She shoved the ring into his hand and began to walk away, but he caught her wrist. She struggled against his grasp, begging him to let her go. But he held on tighter. “I don’t want her to ruin what we have, Y/n.”
“I don’t sleep with married men, Minho.” With one final tug of her arm, she was able to get free from his grasp. But she didn’t move, she stayed standing in front of him as if there was still something holding her there.
“Then pretend I’m not married. Because when I’m with you, she doesn’t exist. It’s only you.” He moved closer to her, cupping her face in his hands, and pressing his lips to hers. Game over. He won. Minho always gets what he wants, and he wants her.
~
“I need a new sugar daddy.” Hyunjin exclaimed, flopping onto the couch beside her.
“What happened to the one you met last week?” He handed her his phone wordlessly, a text conversation already open. Immediately she could tell why he broke things off. “We’ll get Chris to fight him.” She jokingly said handed his phone back to him, hoping to get him to crack a smile.
“I’d pay to see that.” He chuckled. Mission accomplished. “Help me find a new one? You seem really good at finding the good ones.”
“What about-“
“We don’t talk about him.” She giggled but agreed. No good would come out of talking about him. The reason she stopped seeing one man exclusively. The reason she would only keep each one around for a short period of time. Until Minho. But Hyunjin doesn’t need to know that she’s folding in on herself again, that she’s falling down the same hole she did back then.
“Give me your phone.” Hyunjin happily handed over his phone as he curled into her side. She scrolled through the profiles on the site she introduced to him a few months ago when he complained about his tuition and rent being so expensive.
“What about him?”
“No bio means immediate turn off.”
“Him?”
“Barely makes enough money to support one person let alone two.” It continued like that for a bit. Hyunjin pointing out guys that interested him and Y/n pointing out how to tell they would be bad sugar daddies. She taught him all the tricks she picked up on throughout her years of being a baby, and he listened as if it was the most important information he would ever learn.
When her roommates came home, she handed Hyunjin back his phone, and went to see what they wanted to do for dinner. And as always, it resulted in the two of them arguing over which restaurant would be better. “Hey! Who said we were going out to eat? What if I was going to cook?”
Both her roommates looked at her before bursting into laughter. “Oh please. You don’t know how to cook.” Seungmin teased, shaking his head.
“I hate you both.” She mumbled before heading back to where she left Hyunjin, Jeongin calling after her that he didn’t even say anything, but all she did was flip both of them off. “Did you find anyone interesting while I was talking to the babies?” She asked, sitting next to him again, resting her head on his shoulder.
“Him. I have to have him. Do you see those arms? He could choke me and I would thank him.” She giggled as she took the phone from her best friend, giving a quick once over to the profile he was clearly ogling while she was gone.
“Give him a like but wait for him to message you first. Remember, we want them begging for us, not the other way around.”
“Y/n we’re hungry! Can we please go eat now?” Jeongin whined as he walked into the room her and Hyunjin were in. “Hi hyung. Are you joining us for dinner?” Hyunjin looked over to Y/n with pleading eyes and a pout on his face, knowing it was hard for her to say no when he looked at her like that.
“Fuck sake. Someone call Chris. Might as well make it a group thing.” She rolled her eyes.
“We all know that he’s probably trying to rizz up some girl so the only call he’s answering is yours.” Seungmin chimed in with his arms crossed across his chest.
“I need new friends.” She mumbled pulling out her phone and calling Chris, who luckily answered after only a couple rings.
“What can I do for ya sweet cheeks?”
“Please tell me you were not with someone when you answered the phone like that?”
“What’s wrong with how I answered the phone?” She made eye contact with Seungmin who was just smirking to himself, knowing he was right in his assumption that Chris was flirting with someone just seconds before answering his phone. He will always answer her call, no matter what, which is why she’s the only person with a personalized ringtone, a secret only he, and Seungmin, know.
“Not important. We’re all heading out to eat and I wanted to invite you.” It didn’t pass by the other three standing in the room the way she told him she wanted to invite him, not all of them. Ever since Chris joined their friend group, there has been unspoken sexual tension between the two, but neither of them made a move.
“You specifically, baby girl?” He teased.
“Come or don’t. It doesn’t matter to me.” She hung up the phone before he could reply, but the others already knew he would be there. Because there was no way he would turn her down.
~
“You look beautiful.” Chris whispered in her ear when the others were too deep in their own conversation to pay attention to the two of them. Her cheeks reddened at the compliment. She tried so hard to get over the hopeless crush on her friend, but it seemed impossible when he looked at her like she was the only girl in the world and treated her like she was the most precious person to him.
“Well that makes one of us.” She teased causing him to chuckle. She got lost in his smile. His beautiful, wonderful smile that made all the bad days better. And as she opened her mouth to say something else, her phone went off.
I miss you. Can I see you? She stared at the text with a small smile on her face, one Chris recognized all too well. It’s the same smile he gets on his face whenever she calls him, and he knows it’s time to let go.
Of course. I miss you too. It was like all other thoughts disappeared as soon as Minho texted her. Her mind was filled with only thoughts of Minho. So she excused herself from the dinner, sending enough money for them to pay the bill and then some to Seungmin, and went home to change and wait for Minho to pick her up.
She promised herself it wouldn’t be like this again. She wouldn’t become attached, wouldn’t crave his affection. But no matter how many times she tried to walk away, she always ended up back in his arms. Every path she walked down lead her back to him. Because everything leads back to him. He made sure of it.

Greedy
Pairing: Shane Walsh x F!Reader Fandom: The Walking Dead Rating: E 🔞 WC: ~2,5K
Summary: You have a surprise for Shane
Warning: this is basically just smut that includes a butt plug. The anal play isn't too intense, but Shane definitely is, and this is how we all love him 😏😏😏
A/N: inspired by this picture, which was sent to me by @darlingshane as a request for my milestone celebration a few months ago. There weren't any specifics, but my brain went for that idea.
Also read it on AO3
It was shortly past noon on a Sunday, the weather as sunny and warm as would be expected from the start of summer. Shane, however, didn’t care about that, nor about the small group of people currently sitting at the long table in the middle of his garden. Well, not that he didn’t actually care about them, or didn’t want them here, it was more that his whole attention was on you. As it had been since that morning after you’d informed him about one specific detail just when your first guests had arrived, which had rendered him unable to find out more.
“Somethin’ up between you two?”
Shane’s eyes quickly glanced at a smirking Rick, who had joined Shane at the barbecue without him noticing. His eyes immediately returned to you at Rick’s words, before Shane snorted and shook his head as he checked on the few steaks and veggies he was grilling.
“Nah, we’re good.”
Rick lifted his hands in an if-you-say-so gesture, and chuckled as he took another pair of tongs to turn a steak as well, before he returned to sit next to his son.
As obvious as he might have been to his friend, Shane still couldn’t stop himself from following your every move as you got up to get more drinks or serve a dish, all while laughing with your extended family. You were talking to Maggie when you suddenly lifted your gaze to him, only to meet Shane’s eyes, since he was still watching you. You blinked in surprise at finding him already staring, but grinned cheerfully a second later and returned your attention to Maggie. What had Shane stopping in the motion of putting some bell peppers on a plate was the tiny crease that appeared in your brow for a brief second as you sat back down. It hadn’t been the first time, today. And that, as much as what you’d revealed earlier, had been one of the reasons that had him continuously watching you as well. You didn’t look in pain, but you kept biting over your lower lip at odd intervals, and your eyes seemed to turn glassy while you did so. In simple words, you looked… aroused. Not obviously so for other people, but Shane definitely knew that expression or the way you kept squirming around, as if unable to sit still for too long.
His nostrils flaring with his own arousal, Shane was annoyed that he couldn’t just walk up to you and demand that you show him what you’d hinted at earlier. That morning, you’d chosen to wear his favorite summer dress over … a surprise, as you’d put it. That had been all that Shane had been able to find out. He guessed the so-called surprised to be a sexy new pair of panties, but if your behavior was anything to go by, there had to be something more.
It was that more that had Shane finally giving in to his curiosity. He’d just taken the cooked meat and veggies off the grill and placed everything on the table for everyone, when he saw you rise once more and head inside. He threw a quick, be back in a sec, to the table in general, and followed you.
He found you in the kitchen, pouring fresh water from the fridge into a large glass pitcher. Taking the pitcher from you, he placed it onto the kitchen counter before silently clasping his fingers around your wrist and dragging you to the back of the house and into the living room.
“Shane?” you said in confusion as you walked behind him.
He didn’t reply until you were standing behind the couch, and he turned to you to unceremoniously push your upper body over the couch.
“Shane!” you gasped, as your knees hit the back of said furniture, and you had to catch yourself on the pillows.
“Alright,” Shane rumbled, as he leaned over you while his hands trailed along the back of your thighs to push the dress up. “Enough teasin’. Show me what you got for me.”
“Wh-what? Shane, not now,” you whispered sharply and turned your head to the hallway leading back to the kitchen and outside.
“Oh, yes now. Your own damn fault for tellin’ me about that… surprise, before everyone got here. You shouldn’t have said anythin’ if you didn’t want me to do exactly this,” Shane growled into your ear before he reared back to get a good look at what was hidden under the dress. He groaned when he saw the pretty new panties, the fabric soft and silky under his touch as he ran his fingers over your ass. You whimpered when he squeezed your cheeks and then slid a thumb teasingly over your covered lips.
“So pretty for me,” he praised, loving the feel of how warm and damp you were on his fingers.
His hand came to a sudden halt as his thumb moved higher and something hard met his digit. With a frown, he began sliding the panties down, but was surprised as you started moving and trying to bat his hands away.
“Ah, Shane, wait. Not now, I-” you pleaded, voice going up an octave, sounding between aroused but also curiously embarrassed.
Now all the more curious, Shane didn’t stop and ended up freezing at the sight that greeted him the second he revealed your ass to him.
“Oh God,” you moaned as you hung there, hiding your face in your arms. “I told you not now.”
Shane could do nothing more than simply stare for the longest time as his brain caught up to what his eyes were seeing.
A butt plug. A fucking butt plug was snugly fitted inside your ass, only the flat, colored crystal at the base visible to him. Teasing him. Shane swallowed at the unexpected erotic sight, his pointer finger tracing around the base. The two of you had jokingly talked about using this kind of toy a few weeks ago when a friend of yours had gotten one as a gag gift at his bachelor’s party. Except that Shane hadn't thought that you'd want to go through with it. Anal sex hadn't been talked about in your relationship, but only because it had never come up. Talking about that toy had been arousing, sure, but Shane had more or less forgotten about it right after that conversation. You, on the other hand, clearly hadn't. And it wasn't like Shane could complain. Far from it, with how pretty the color of the crystal looked against your skin.
“So this is what had you squirmin’ like that,” he observed after a long silence, his voice deep. He lowered himself over your back again to speak into your ear. “Are you so greedy for my dick that you want me to fill all your pretty holes?”
His dick throbbed in his khakis at your whimper. Fuck, the idea of getting absolutely all of you was making him slowly lose control. He'd only meant to check out what you were hiding before going back outside, but with this?
Standing straight again, Shane licked his lower lip as he gently pulled on the base and grinned at your immediate intake of breath. He stopped you from turning around with a large palm pressed against the middle of your back.
“Sha-Shane, no, ah,” you pleaded, only your head turning towards him and revealing your wide eyes.
“Shshsh,” Shane whispered, as he turned the toy inside you before pushing on it and watching your arms falter as you bit down on a groan. “Can’t expect me to not play with it a little, hm?”
Fuck, he was already so incredibly hard just from teasing you that little bit, and had to quickly adjusted himself.
“No, please… What – ah – what if someone co – oh fuck! Shane d-don’t.”
You managed to keep your voice low as you begged, but you still pushed your ass out more as Shane began pulling at the toy. His heart was racing with the lust running through him and the need to see the warm metal stretching you for him. Despite you being right, despite several people being just on the other side of the house, Shane couldn’t stop himself from teasing you some more. Especially as he listened to you begging him to stop while moaning so wantonly, your body obviously loving every second of it. Shane was completely unable to pull his hands away from you.
As soon as the widest part started to appear to his eyes, the act having your body shaking as you fought every sound you wanted to make, Shane pushed the toy back inside to the hilt. A cry left your mouth, but you managed to choke it down before it turned too loud, and instead you bit into your forearm.
“Look at you, baby,” Shane said appreciatively, and ran two fingers along your soaked flesh. “Pleadin’ n’ beggin’ me to stop, but your pussy’s more honest than you.”
Your legs trembled, and you didn’t shy away from his touch, but you remained silent, your head lying over your folded arms on top of the couch. His mouth turning into a smirk, Shane pushed those two fingers slowly inside you until they couldn’t get any further. He hummed in satisfaction as you gasped, and your walls squeezed around his fingers. Playing with your entrance, Shane used the hand still lying on your back to go to the toy and pull at it yet again. Your head instantly flew up, and you slapped a hand on the pillow before fisting it as Shane tortured you in all the best ways.
“Shane,” you sobbed in pleasure. “Please.”
“Mh, please what?” Shane teased some more, pulling and pulling until the toy was almost all the way out. He had to fight with all his might to keep himself in check and not just fuck you right then and there at the sight of both of your stretched holes.
“Just… oh fuck… please… you gotta…” The end of your sentence was cut off by your pressing your mouth to your arms as you cried out when Shane plunged both fingers and toy back inside you.
Shane chuckled breathlessly. Shit, making you lose your focus was always such a turn on for him. Having you come apart on his fingers, mouth, tongue, or dick was the surest way to have him go over the edge as well. He’d never tire of watching you like this. As he tugged the toy out this time, he started to slowly fuck you with it, in synch with his fingers inside you.
“Hey, you guys here somewhere?” Glenn’s voice suddenly came from the kitchen.
Shane froze and so did you. Shane grunted under his breath as you tightened around his fingers, and smirked.
“Oh, that’s what you like? Want someone to run into you lookin’ like this? You sure squeezed real nice around my fingers just now,“ he rumbled straight into your ear before lifting his head and talking loudly. “Yeah, we’re right here.” Shane smirked as he kept fucking you with both hands and saw your wide eyes and your mouth opening to speak, but he talked over you. “We’ll be out in a minute.”
There was a pause in Glenn’s steps, before they retreated again with an audible grumble. Shane laughed under his breath.
“You think he knows, hm?” Shane thrust his fingers faster before taking them out and going straight for your clit.
You shook your head fervently while moans began falling from your mouth continuously as Shane increased the pace again. Shoving the toy back inside you, Shane wrapped his hand around your throat and pulled you up against him, turning your head until your eyes met.
“No? Should I call him back then? Or even Rick? Let 'em see what a dirty girl you are, hm?” Shane asked as his fingers flew over your clit.
“N-no!” you said in a high, urgent whisper and shook your head again while meeting his gaze with your wide, need filled eyes. “Please, Shane. Only need you.”
The hand on your throat tightened a notch as your declaration hit Shane deep, his possessive streak screaming in satisfaction in his head.
“That’s right, sweetheart,” he hissed before claiming your mouth with his for a hungry kiss.
Shane groaned in approval as you lifted an arm to curl it around his neck to keep him against you. His erection pressed against your leg while his hand still worked between your thighs, and he growled deep in his throat as you came in his arms. The orgasm was so intense that your knees buckled, but Shane’s hold on you kept you from pitching over the couch, although you had to break the kiss to get your breathing under control again. Shane gently lowered you over the couch again to finally reach for his fly, and almost ripped it apart in his haste to open it and lower the pants enough to pull his cock out. Words of praise gushed out of him as he frantically fisted himself, the copious amount of pre-come making the glide easy. His eyes were riveted to your ass and slick folds, your juices covering the top of your thighs as well from how he’d played with you. Shane moved over you, his free hand holding him up on the couch as he kept speaking to you.
“The way you look right now. Fuck… Wish I could send everyone home now and take you apart.” His eyes returned to your ass and the toy. “And that toy, baby? Such a big plug for my girl,” Shane groaned at your muffled moan from his continuous praise. The toy wasn’t outrageously big, but he’d seen smaller ones, for sure.
“Had to,” you mumbled and turned your fully blown out pupils on him. “Had to make sure you’ll fit,”
Shane’s dick pulsed at the hidden praise, and he growled deep in his throat as the visuals assaulting his brain, as well as the current sight of you, brought him to the edge of his release. Leaning up again as his hand flew over his dick, Shane pulled one of your butt cheeks to the side and grunted harshly as the first strings of come hit you straight over the toy before he painted the back of your thighs as well.
Both of your quick breaths were the only sound coming from the room for a long minute, while Shane stared at your deliciously messy form through heavy lids. He leaned down to press a tender kiss to your nape before he helped you gingerly stand, making sure that your dress didn’t touch the mess on your skin. You turned around to face him with a languid smile, which had him moving in to kiss you for a few, long seconds.
“I think you should head outside while I,” you trailed off with a chuckle.
Shane snorted and nodded, watching you walking through the hallway and vanishing into the bathroom before heading outside. Sitting down next to Rick, he was greeted by Maggie’s knowing smirk across from him, which he unapologetically met head on with one of his own. Glenn’s uncomfortable expression, when you made your way out again a few minutes later, only served to have him laughing as he kissed you in welcome before he reached for one of the salads.

my oc story
so I have these ocs… and I’m kinda writing a book about them and just finished a chapter and just wanted to post something about it and see if anyone would see it or like it
Characters:
Andrew(A.J.): he’s Allison’s best friend. He’s goofy and love to make lame jokes also really caring. His mom passed when he was really little and his dad is serving in the military. He lives with his grandma on his dad’s side she’s very kind but doesn’t leave the house much and gives him a lot of freedom. A.j. Is 17 btw and so is Allison all the teens in the story are 17-18.( also maybe potential crush going on between him and Allison hint hint)
Allison: she has two siblings one older brother who has basically ignored her since he turned 13 they where close as kids but he started to practically hate her as a teen, they are 4 years apart in age. He moved away to collage when he turned 19 though. Her other sibling is her younger sister she very spoiled and kinda hates her too but just ignores her unless she’s tattling on her, she is 11. Her parents are very strict with her and especially her grades Allison doesn’t do well in school and constantly gets yelled at over her grades more details on her parents later. Neither of them have phones btw and this story is set in around 2011 in america. Allison has had terrible nightmares since she was a child and hardly sleeps due to them. She also starts hallucinating “the girl in the mirror”, about 6 months before the incident, who looks nearly just like her. More info on the girl in the mirror if you want you can comment if you want more btw.
—————————————-
I’m at my house already, to be fair I did walk pretty fast. I walk up the driveway to the front door and turn the doorknob. It locked. Just as usual I don’t know why I even tried opening it I walk around the house and open the side gate and walk up the stairs to the second level. Our house has stairs on the outside as well as the inside to get to the second floor, I’m not sure why it’s probably because our house is older than the other newer houses on our street.
When I got to the top of the stairs I pulled out my key from my backpack pocket and unlocked the door. I entered into the carpeted hallway and turned to the first door on my right. That was my bedroom it’s quite small, well very small hardly fits my bed and dresser. It works well though at least I don’t have to share. Walking into my room I tossed my backpack down on the floor by my dresser. It sure felt good to take off that heavy bag, they really should give us smaller schoolbooks.
I do have to start on my homework though, I’m meeting up with andrew today, that will be nice at least.
___________________
I finished my work, a history assignment and the dreaded math page, and then headed to the backyard. Our backyard is quite nice actually we have a pool, my mom used to offer swim lessons in our yard to kids in the neighborhood but that was a long time ago. We also have a small trampoline and there’s a patch of grass and a garden box with dead plants from months ago. But what I’m headed to is the shed in the corner in between the back wall and the fence. I pull a ladder over from behind the shed and set it out and climb up to the shed roof. From the roof I can see the thick grove of wildish trees behind the wall. The trees occupy the empty lot behind my neighborhood, andrew and I hang out there a lot. There’s a specific clearing right on the other side of my backyard wall where the shed is, we usually meet up there. From where I’m sitting on the shed roof I can see that he’s not here yet, that’s fine I’m sure he’ll be here soon. Not long after we met andrew found an old ladder and propped it up against the wall behind the shed so I can climb up and down to the clearing easily. I climb down that ladder and sit next to the big willow tree and pull out my book to start reading while I wait.
———————————
“BOO!”
“AHH!” I screamed “what the heck was that for” I said as Andrew just laughed hysterically
“No reason really other than to scare you” Andrew said in between laughter
He sat down beside me and leaned over to peek at my book
“Whatcha reading”
“Uhh it’s called ‘in your shoes’ I’m rereading it actually” I said as it flipped the book over to check the cover
“Huh seems interesting could you maybe lend me it sometime”
“Of course in fact you can have it when I finish which will probably be tomorrow evening”
“Nice, sounds perfect, sooo whatcha want to do today…?”
“I dunno…” I said trailing off
He reached into his backpack and pulled out a book of his own. It was, as usual, his worn copy of the book “gone with the wind” he really loves that book, probably because it was the book his grandad left him.
He started to read leaned up against the willow tree near me, I tried to read but my thoughts where racing so I just ended up staring off into the distance lost in thought
————————————
I was outside in the backyard, it was pretty cold so I wore a sweatshirt, as I stepped out of the back door into the crisp night air I felt calmer. I walk over to the shed and stepped behind it and glanced around until I saw what I was looking for, the block of wood I had painted to be a target. I pulled it out and propped my makeshift target up against the outside wall of the shed. I then reached into my pocket and pulled out my switchblade. Kinda crazy honestly that I could even buy it though I did buy it online, anyway then I just started practicing my knife throwing at the target block.
It’s calming actually to do knife throwing especially if you’re pretty good at it. I find the think of the blade as it hits the wood to be relaxing, so not more than 30 minutes later of knife throwing I hear some rustling in the trees on the other side of the wall then I saw a figure in the trees. Someone was here.
“Hi there” a voice called from the trees it scared me and I swung my arm and before I knew it I had sent a blade hurtling at the person. He screamed and dodged it just barely.
“Oh my gosh I’m so sorry you startled me!” I said quickly.
“It’s ok I’m fine geez you got some reflexes, and who throws knives at 10 o’clock at night” he responded with a grin
I rolled my eyes and responded with “ and who climbs trees and scares people in their yards at 10 o’clock at night”
“Ok that’s fair” he said then turned to pull my knife from the tree trunk it was lodged in. “Oh and my names Andrew by the way what’s yours”
“I’m Allison , and don’t throw the knife down I’ll come get it” I say as he almost drops the knife down into my yard. He quickly pulls the knife up and says “oh got it, sorry”
He then watches as I pull a ladder over and climb onto the shed roof. Now on the shed roof we are only around 5 feet apart I can see him clearer now. He looked about my age with wavy brown hair and slightly tan skin. He grinned and passed my my switchblade back. I noticed that he had dimples, and freckles but only a few on his nose.
“Thanks” I said as I took my knife back
“Mind if I step down there” he asked indicating to the shed roof. I nodded and he slowly lowered himself from the tree onto the roof.
——————————————
(Back to the regular timeline btw)
One day after after meeting up under the willow tree
“So whatcha want to do today?” Andrew asked
“I dunno? It’s pretty hot today.” I said
“OH how about we go get milkshakes!”he said excitedly
“Sounds great” I said. So we walked to the cold stone down the block and ordered some milkshakes. I got vanilla with caramel sauce and Andrew got chocolate with crushed Oreos. Of course I paid because Andrew conveniently forgot money. We sat down at a booth and he immediately started drinking his milkshake.
“I gotta go to the bathroom, don’t steal my milkshake” I teased.
“Geez I won’t” he said grinning
I smiled back and walked towards the bathroom and quickly walked into a stall. I finished and was washing my hands and looked up at the mirror and I saw her. She behind me a few feet away in the mirror I was frozen in fear I saw in the mirror as my face went pale. I didn’t dare turn to see if she was really behind me. Something was different about her since I last saw her. She had a small knife in her hand at her side. My knife. My knife with deep red blood dripping from the tip. I couldn’t move, I tried to scream but the bathroom stayed silent. So I closed my eyes and bolted blindly for the door fumbling around until I grasped the handle and got out of there as fast as I could. I froze outside the door. Andrew stared at me worry etched on his face at my panicked look. “Are you ok?” He said standing up from the table and stepping towards me. I took a breath then said “I’m doing fine let’s go home now.” He looked confused then nodded and state to gather the trash at our table and threw it away. I stood still watching him as he cleaned up. After he finished he walked up to me and said “so you ready to go?” I took a moment to compose myself and nodded. He smiled gently and we set off.
We arrived back at the willow tree I still hadn’t spoken the whole time my mind was preoccupied with images of the girl in the mirror. I couldn’t get my mind off the knife,my knife, dripping with crimson blood and the drop of red on the skirt of her white dress.
———————————
(about a 4 months later)
March eleventh the day of the incident
It was late around midnight so by now it would be the eleventh of march. I had gone to see A.J. Around 9 o’clock after I had a yelling at from my parents. I just needed something to distract me so of course I went to see A.J. He knew what was going on I didn’t have to tell him it happened often enough that I’d go see him after a yelling from my mom or dad. So we decided to just go for a walk to nowhere in particular. We ended up walking around in the alleyways behind a shopping center. Those alleys are like a maze, plenty of twists and turns. We were chatting about something that had happened at school earlier that week. Some fight that happened in the lunchroom. I hardly remember what we were saying I think a.j. Was making some jokes, he could clearly tell I was distracted and probably wanted to cheer me up.
Then I heard footsteps. I can tell who is coming from footsteps pretty well and I knew these ones. The loud clunk of two sets of heavy shoes and one putter of light sandals. Then the light but heavy confidant steps of someone I recognized well, it was them.
And I heard their voices, they knew I was here and they knew what they wanted.
“A.J. You need to go.” I said quickly hardly recognizing my own voice
“W-what?” He stutters out confused
“I said you need to go, leave, go home now.” I said now more sure of what I said
He looked completely confused but realized from the tone of my voice that I was serious. he didn’t think he should leave, I could tell that but he started to walk away regardless. I stood still as he walked out of the alley and turned a corner. I could hear them getting closer their voices loud in contrast to the silent night. I had no idea how late it was by then.
They approached and saw me there. I saw rosette their “leader”, most call her red or cherry, something like that because of her straight shiny red hair. Quite the contrast to her boyfriend Dallas’s inky black hair, he stood behind her a sinister smirk on his face also. I noticed a beer bottle in his hand, and one in Lila’s also she was an enthusiastic cheerleader in school often cheering at her boyfriend’s games. Lila’s boyfriend, I didn’t quite know his name I think he was newer to their gang, stood next to her. Rosette still smirking said to me “so, you thought you could get away or something? Not after you bad mouthed me in front of people in the lunch room certainly.”
I took a step back instinctively. Though it had been months since they had laid hands on me I still knew they wouldn’t hold back. Yet also they seemed to be slightly drunk well everyone but rosette, she was tough always partially sober. Then again she didn’t drink hardly as much as the others even though they were underage all the rich kids somehow got their hands on alcohol most weekends and had big parties. I assumed they had just came from a party like that.
“Oh don’t walk away yet we haven’t even gotten started” rosette said clearly threatening. I stood taller and she smirked.
“So where did we leave of last time, oh yes I remember you have yourself a little friend I’ve found. Honestly it’s pathetic for anyone to put in the effort of pretending to care about you. You know he doesn’t really care.”
My anger flared up “you don’t know what you’re talking about!” I said a bit louder than I wanted to.
“Oh I don’t? Really such a shame that you care about that boy.” She said her sinister smile still plastered on her face. Behind her Dallas cracked his knuckles.
“ what are you getting at?” I asked my voice shaking.
“Oh just thinking would be quite a shame if he were to go unprotected. Some people can be quite cruel to teenagers wandering alleyways at night. You never know what can happen” she said coolly
I knew her threats when I heard them. She was threatening to hurt a.j. How dare she. Of course she had figured my soft spot.
“Don’t you dare.” I said between gritted teeth.
“Oh what are you going to do? You’re playing a losing game it’s four against one.”
She said as Lila took a swig of whatever beer they had and Dallas smiled and rolled his sleeves up. I’ll never understand why they like to fight. Maybe it’s to let their emotions out, people like them seem to hide everything including emotions. I stood at the ready and Dallas noticed me taking a fighting stance and smiled then threw a hard punch to my side. I couldn’t dodge it in time and doubled down in the pain. I felt another punch this time at my jaw by who I think was Lila’s boyfriend. I was backed into the brick wall of the alley they threw a few more punches. I was tired and could hardly fight back then I saw rosette smile and whisper something to Dallas he broke his beer bottle on the other brick wall. I recognized what was happening they would use the broken bottle and cut me out then go find a.j. They’d get to him they probably had their fancy car nearby. As Dallas approach me holding the bottle I instinctively reached in the pocket of my jacket. They noticed my movement and stopped. I slowly pulled out my blade from my pocket with a snap of metal the blade popped out. Rosette froze for a moment at seeing the knife. They said Coolly “think you can just pull a blade and make us go away? Think again. I know you Allison your to much of a coward to use that.” She glanced back at Dallas smiling coolly.
Dallas took her sign and began to charge at me. I shut my eyes tight stood up tall and held my blade out still and jabbed forward. I heard a shriek not sure who from. I kept my eyes shut afraid of what I’d see if I opened them. Seconds, minutes, passed I heard my heart in my chest pounding. I heard rosettes ragged breathing, she was afraid. Then I opened my eyes I saw Dallas fall to the floor a dark pool spilling from his chest. His eyes were rolled back. I noticed that his chest didn’t rise and fall. He wasn’t breathing. He was dead. Rosette looked at Dallas and seemed to realize what I had because she then turned to me furiously. She shreiked tears pricking at her eyes staring at Dallas. She charged at me shoving me against the wall. My head hit the bricks sending searing pain through me as soon as I opened my eyes back up after hitting my head I saw them running out of the alley towards the light at the end of the alley. Towards the parking lot I knew was that way. Though I knew it was there I couldn’t look at Dallas’s body. I stepped a bit away and leaned back against the wall and stared at the dark bloody knife and wiped the blood dripping from my lips from the earlier punches.
———————————
I ran when Allison told me to get out of there, I had hardly been running for a few minutes until I knew I had to go back I rushed back trying to navigate the alleyways. Then I heard some voices, I think I recognized them they went to my school. Then I heard Allison’s voice. I looked over the corner of the brick wall and my heart seemed to stop. I saw Allison about 15 feet away from where I was hiding at the corner of the alley. She was holding a knife into the chest of a guy eyes shut tight. Two girls and another guy stood by terrified. The closer girl with red hair was frozen in fear. Al opened her eyes and the boy she had stabbed collapsed to the floor they stood still and I saw that he was dead. At realizing that the red haired girl screamed and shoved Allison against the wall her head hit the bricks hard. The red hair girl let go of Allison and looked at the others and they took off running out of the alley.
She killed him. She killed him. I could hardly breathe. My thoughts swirled around to quickly to decipher. I don’t know how long I stood there with my eyes shut thoughts swirling, was it minutes? Hours? I opened my eyes and saw Allison standing looking at her bloodied knife. She closed her eyes and gripped the knife holding it up.
“Allison!” I called her name out she froze. Her eyes shot open and the knife dropped to her side quickly.

Jealous 2.0
“Hey ya’ll, welcome in. I’m Sunny, I’ll be your server today.” I said my usual spiel, sliding a menu to each of the four men with a sweet smile, placing four sets of wrapped silverware in the middle of the circular table. “Ya’ll want me to start you with some waters or you have something a little more fun from the bar in mind?” I asked, clicking my pen and pulling out the little pad I took orders on, smiling at the men.
They were handsome enough, middle aged so a little gray at the temples but each of them held themselves with a cool confidence that I didn’t even mind. The one on my left returned my smile, flashing a row of pearly whites. “Well Sunny girl, I think we’re going to start with a few pitchers of whatever is on tap, and an order of nachos?” He glanced at the others and they all nodded, plucking up the menus to look at them. “Sunny, that sure is a pretty name.” He added, chin tilted up as he met my eyes. He had hazel eyes, dark hair too, a tan that worked for him.
“Thank you, but I can’t take credit for that. I’ll pass the praise on to my ma though.” I said, smile still in place as I clicked my pen, putting the pad in the server’s apron around my waist. “I’ll go get those beers.”
I walked away, heading towards the POS system at the bar to type out to get the nachos going from the kitchen before grabbing a few plastic pitchers from the clean shelf, going to the taps. Mitch was pouring Pops another drink but glanced at me out of the corner of his eye.
“How’s it going?” He asked, leaning on the bar as I filled the pitchers with the basic tap beer.
“S’okay. How is the bar?” I asked, flashing him a smile, taking any opportunity to talk to Mitch during work. When we’d get back to the house at the end of the day Pops would take up his chair in the living room and I would usually grab the first shower before turning in for bed or sitting on the back porch reading until I got tired enough to lay down. We spoke, of course, but stealing little conversations at work felt a little more special for some reason. Maybe it was because Mitch had other options for conversation and still chose to come to me. God I was pathetic of this man.
“S’not bad.” He said, blue eyes flicking over to my newest table, watching the men talk amongst themselves.
I didn’t answer Mitch, grabbing the two pitchers in one hand and four glasses in the other, walking back to the table. Setting everything down I flashed my service smile, glancing between the four of them. “Ya’ll ready to order or need a few more minutes?” I asked.
“You know sweetheart, the boys and I were just talking about how pretty you are.” The man with hazel eyes spoke, reaching out and patting at my arm. It was a safe spot so I didn’t pull away but I did tilt my head slightly, placing a hand on my hip. “How’d you end up in a place like this? Not that it isn’t nice, been comin here for years and just haven’t seen you around.” “Ah, I started a little over a month ago I think now.” I said with a small shrug, used to having the conversation with the regulars. “I like it here. I get to meet a lot of people, and who doesn’t like tips?”
The men all smiled and nodded, hazel eyes letting out a little chuckle. “Fair enough. We need a few more minutes, but thank you Sunny.” I nodded, turning and walking away, unphased by the conversation. Moving behind the bar to see if there were any dishes I could snatch to take to the back when Mitch broke my concentration.
“I need help behind the bar.” Mitch said, sidling up next to me. “Ann will be taking over your table so you can help me.” I frowned, glancing up at Mitch confused. “What, Mitch-” I frowned as I walked after him, his long legs easily outpacing me but we were in a small space behind the bar. He refilled a beer, popping the top off another one, serving the people that were coming up to the bar in waves.
Mitch had never needed my help before, so why now? I huffed, not pleased at the idea of losing out on my tips for the night, bar tips were never as good. “Mitch-” “I’m the boss and I said I need your help Sunny. Listen.” He said sternly, looking down at me before moving past me to make another mixed drink at the end of the bar, flagging Ann over so she could take over my tables.
I frowned but realized I couldn’t really do about the situation, setting my frustration on the back burner to focus on the group before me looking at me hopefully for a drink. “Hi all, what do you need?” I asked, slapping on a smile.
The next few hours flew by. The bar was busy, and Mitch and I moved well together, but he certainly hadn’t needed my help. I’d seen him work busier crowds with ease, and the frustration at losing out on my tips really bothered me. Wiping off the bartop to clear it of spilled beer and condensation it had wound down enough for me to finally get answers from Mitch.
“I need to talk to you.” I told him, grabbing his wrist and pulling him towards the back office. Mitch didn’t stop me or stumble but he did gesture for one of the girls to get behind the bar, not wanting to leave it unattended.
I opened the office door and pulled him through, closing the door as he moved to lean against his desk and face me. I don’t think I’d ever seen him actually sit behind the damn thing once.
“What was that about?” I asked, stopping before him with my hands on my hips.
Mitch had the audacity to fold his hands on his lap, looking relaxed as always. “What was what about, darlin?” He asked, voice smooth and low.
I narrowed my eyes and pointed at him, index finger gently prodding at his chest. “Don’t you try that sweet cowboy bullshit with me now, Mitch Keller. Why did you pull me behind the bar? I’m not stupid, I’ve seen you handle bigger crowds with ease, so why did you pull me off tables. Tipping tables, mind you.”
Mitch grabbed my hand that had been poking at him, warm fingers wrapping around my wrist, thumb brushing against the inside of it. “Just needed some help is all.” He said, pulling me a little closer. I went, curious as to what he was doing but not letting myself get distracted. As he spread his legs slightly to pull me between them to get me closer I met his eyes, telling him without words I wasn’t buying it.
He huffed, glancing away for a moment with a little frown on his lips, free hand scratching along his jaw. “That man grabbed at you. Figured you’d wanna get away from him.” I paused, confused, thinking back to right before he pulled me behind the bar. Nothing out of the ordinary really happened, no one grabbed me like that one time, the memory of large fingers digging into my thigh painfully making me frown. Then it clicked. The four top of good looking men, the man touching my arm.
I grinned, taking a step closer to Mitch, the burn of satisfaction warming me over from the inside out. “Mitch Keller, are you jealous?” I asked, crowding his space slightly. He huffed, rolling his eyes and adjusting his hat on his head, hand still wrapped loosely around my wrist.
“Jealous? Darlin’, really?” He asked, flashing that good ol’ boy smile at me, chin tipping up to meet my eyes. I got flashbacks to the day in the cooler earlier last week, when he had accused me of the same thing. His free hand settled on my hip, pulling me closer, and I willingly leaned in with my own smile. “Oh, good. I’d hate for it to be weird when I call one of them. I got some numbers before I was snatched behind the bar so I figured…” I trailed off, giving a little shrug, feigning nonchalance as my hands settled on his broad shoulders. “Might take one of em up on the offer of a date in the next few weeks.” He tensed under my hands and I knew I had him.
“Mm.” He said, hand tightening slightly on my wrist before releasing it. “Well it’s a shame that you’ll be busy that day. It’s busy season after all, I need you here.” “I never said what day, Mitch.” I said, stepping back as he stood, making me look up at him now. He paused, blue eyes flicking over my face before his lips set into a thin line.
“You are doing doubles all next week.”
“Wait- hey!” I gasped, chasing after him as he left the office. I caught Ann’s grin and returned it, chasing after my boss when he tried to hide behind the bar, fully intending to pester him into giving me at least an afternoon off. “Cowboy you get your tall self back here, I wasn’t done with you!”

Your heart and soul is mine (and mine are yours) - Chap 2
Chap summary: The first thing to know about being a Jujutsu Sorcerer is how to control your CE, from there it's just basic manipulation. And also meeting your nephew/not really nephew Megumi Fushiguro.
notes: I'm probably not gonna upload for a solid month after this chapter, or maybe after the 3rd chapter's done idk. maki and the gang pull up in the next chapter, and GODDAMN, she is RUDE. but its funny
she's gonna be like that probably until before yuta pulls up once we get to the jjk0 storyline- another thing to note is that since jjh is a year round school, they likely start school in may because they have a summer uniform, winter uniform, blah blah, you get it
After that first very impressionable meeting with your long-lost half-brother, he wasted no time in gaining guardianship over you.
He gained it rather quickly actually.
Even you were surprised as to how fast he gained it, but he has both connections, proof of his relation to you, and money to make it faster.
So after a month or two and him coming back every week, he could finally say he became your legal guardian, and he talked to both your aunt and you about moving to Japan with him.
Sure, you have no idea as to how to speak Japanese, but you'll go to school, learn there as he helps you as well.
Over the course of the next few weeks, you packed up most of your things and moved to Japan with him.
Tokyo, Japan.
You don't want to be one of those people who acts all weird with it, but for the first few months of living there, you definitely did. Not to mention that Satoru never once mentioned Megumi and Tsumiki while he was talking all about Japan.
Your first meeting with Megumi wasn't too bad. The boy stayed pretty quiet the whole time.
“So.. Do you like comics?”
You tentatively ask, as he raises his head slightly, looking as if he's thinking about this.
“..yeah. The new 52 Batman comics are my favorites.” You grin, seeing the corner of Megumi’s lips turn up. It seems he's glad enough to have someone new in the house who likes comics.
“Awesome. I personally like the Civil War book that came out a long ass while ago. Cap dies, but I think that's fine. We need more permanent deaths in comics anyways.”
He nods his head in agreement, as you continue to talk about the 2006 Civil War comic.
‘She seems pretty cool.’
He's not going to say that out loud though. Megumi already kind of is starting to like you, and that's saying something. Maybe it's because you're very close to his age, or because you're not hounding him with questions on basically one of your first meetings.
“Anything else you like? ‘Cause I have a lot more I could talk about.”
You smile, and now Megumi can definitely tell you're related to Satoru. Both your tendencies to talk seem similar, even when you're clearly asking him if he'd like to talk more.
And he's glad for that. He's glad you're a little like Satoru, but not enough like him that you're unbearable to talk to or be next to.
Even then, Megumi contemplates your question for another few moments, thinking of something else he actually enjoys. His voice comes out a little quieter than normal, as he scratches his chin for a moment.
“Well, I also like Iron Man. The movies are pretty cool. The Avengers movie was awesome too.”
Common interests make this bonding with Megumi easier than he would make it normally. He's quiet, sometimes unusually so, but that's fine by you. It's nice to have someone to share opinions with- Even if they're very opinionated like Megumi’s.
You're sure you can get along with Megumi quite easily.
——
A few days later, after Satoru comes back from his business trip, he sits you down to talk to you, one on one. In a serious tone, he speaks, sitting down at a table across from you.
“We need to talk.”
His hands are interlocked in front of him, as his face forms into a serious look. He's really trying not to smile at all.
It doesn't make you nervous per say, but it does make you narrow your eyes at him as you start to suspect something. Satoru isn't very good at being serious in these types of situations, so this is killing him.
“So, I'm sure you have no idea what I do when I leave, right?” He's referring to his “business trips”, so you nod your head. He seems to understand, and keeps talking. “I would guess so. Anyways, you don't know what Jujutsu is, do you?”
At this point, you just stare at him with a ‘Are you fucking stupid?’ look. Of course you have no idea what that is.
“What the fuck is “Jujutsu"? Fightin’ style?”
You narrow your eyes at him, eyebrows slightly furrowed in confusion. You've only ever heard of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and those pretty much sound the same. That's probably what he's referring to, right?
“No, no, it's something else. It's kind of like super powers.” He watches you for a moment, watching you burst out into laughter shortly after his words.
Satoru's serious gaze doesn't falter, even when he already probably would've burst into laughter himself as well, but he wants to introduce you to this, because he can definitely sense a huge amount of cursed energy from your body. Especially a few months ago, when you were still reeling back from your mother's death.
“I want you to take this seriously.”
His words coupled with his tone makes you stop laughing, and instead pay heavy attention to his next words.
He’s never done anything to lose your trust, and he's certainly never lied to you (so far). So when he asks you to take him seriously, no matter the topic.
So after that, he starts yapping all about jujutsu, curses, the Jujutsu society, and the fact that because you have blood of the Gojo Clan in your veins, you have the extreme potential to be one of the strongest Sorcerers of this generation.
In all seriousness, you don't believe him for a good while. Until you try touching him to slap him (as a joke) and you can't touch him.
You can't touch him because of his Infinity. He explains it to you, both Infinity and his cursed technique: Limitless. Not just Limitless, but his Six Eyes technique.
He first explained that the Six Eyes and the Limitless come together in one sorcerer every 400 years. He’s an extremely rare case of a sorcerer: possessing two techniques in one brain. Then he explains it all a bit more in depth, then moves onto you. He’s not sure if you’re like him- in the sense that your eyes sense cursed energy better than a regular sorcerer would. But then again, he has noticed your narrowed eyes around both him and Megumi quite a lot. Your squinting eyes can only lead him to the assumption that you see cursed energy better, like he does.
He didn’t want that for you, but it’s too late now. At least now, Satoru can teach you how to control and harness your cursed energy- not to mention, give you his old high school glasses to help you with the overload of cursed energy, and just overall your eyes being sensitive to many forms of different things. Like him.
——
And so, as soon as he got some time off and a safe spot to help you start to work on your jujutsu, he got right on it. Honestly, Megumi is slightly surprised that Satoru’s doing all of this, but he knows the man isn’t cold-hearted. Quite the opposite. Satoru took him in, so he knows firsthand how generous he can be, even if he’s a bit childish at times.
Right off the bat, he teaches you how to channel your cursed energy; how to not be wasteful with it, especially considering your overwhelming amount of it- from what he can tell, with his blindfold/glasses on or off.
It’s not tough to learn it, but the hardest part is mastering it by repeating it over and over. All it is is using your negative emotions and channeling them into a layer of cursed energy over your body.
Over and over. Satoru had you practice channeling cursed energy into your fists, hitting him with his Infinity up, even if it did nothing. After all, it didn't do ‘nothing’. It helped you practice CE manipulation, and helped you control your emotions, especially your grief after your mother’s death.
“The body is the soul, and the soul is the body. If you don’t understand that, you don’t understand the basic principle of jujutsu.” He’s a good teacher when it comes to application and technique. After all, he’s been a jujutsu sorcerer ever since he could use his techniques. And you…
He didn’t even know what cursed technique you had until around a year after the initial start of your training. And when he found out what it was, he was absolutely thrilled. The technique itself was Special Grade 1, and with your mastery so far, how well you’ve exceeded on the minor missions Satoru sent you and Megumi on to test your skills, and the knowledge of jujutsu you have- even after only a year- you’re already definitely top tier Grade 1 material.
Not to mention your skills in martial arts; with boxing as your primary, Muay Thai for more power in the weaker areas, and karate for leg strikes.
As for your CT…
Cursed Technique: Time Dilation.
Your CT is one of the most powerful- but volatile- techniques. A user of Time Dilation hasn’t been heard of or seen since the Heian Era. Already, Satoru knows you’re a slight danger- or at least he knows that’s how the jujutsu higher-ups will see it.
With the power of your CT, you have the ability to slow time to almost a halt, and at your current mastery, only for around maybe 2-3 seconds per usage.
You have potential. Great potential. Just like him.
Just like Satoru Gojo.

Sorry for the lack of update lately. It’s been crazy and I’m so tired.
Some thing that have happened since my last real post ten days ago
- picked up extra hours at work. got news that the “sure thing” promotion now requires applying and interviewing (we’ve been told for months we have been doing a working interview and we will simply move into the roles. apparently not)
- azula had a mystery illness that sent us to the e-vet last week. she’s doing much better but it was very scary and caused so much anxiety I couldn’t eat for 2 days
- azula and ponzi got their basic cardiac testing done. it was pretty simple and easy but it was an 8 hour round trip bc I also had to meet up with Ponzi’s breeder to drop her off
- ponzi is staying with her breeder for ???? amount of time and will be showing with a pro handler. hoping she does well but super nervous about all that.
- had to leave azula with a friend just after her illness due to prior commitments and her technically being well enough that I couldn’t really back out. Friend then missed one of Azula’s medications which should be fine but is super annoying/causes me to worry probably unnecessarily
- my mom is coming to visit this week and then I’m dog sitting for my friend the week after that so it just doesn’t end. I want like an entire two weeks where I don’t have to leave the house, no one comes to visit, and nothing concerning happens pls
If you read all that here’s azula feeling like her normal self again and starting neighborhood watch back up

Enjoy!
Summary: The Nixons look back on their life as they're preparing to move.
Warnings: major fluff
Nixon, New Jersey: 1985
"Mom, why couldn't I have stayed at home? I don't want to go through Gran and Gramp's junk!"
Mary took a deep breath and restrained from exploding on her 14-year-old daughter. "They've lived in this house for almost 40 years, Kimberly, so naturally we need a ton of help getting them moved out."
Rolling her eyes, she sat on the floor with a huff, grabbing the nearest box. She opened it and discovered it was filled to the brim with photographs. Most were black and white, but the ones near the top were vibrant with color. Those dated back to around 71' when Kim was born. Smiling to herself, she sorted through her own pictures first before moving on to the older, monochrome photos.
The first one she pulled out was of her parents, dressed to the nines at a school dance. Mary was wearing a beautiful aqua dress with her hair pulled back into a teased bun. Kim chuckled at the giant beehives girls used to style their hair in.
"Don't even, Kim," her mother smirked, going through a box of her own. "Hair like that was all the rage in the 60s."
The teenager flipped the photo over. "What year was this?"
Scooting over to her daughter, Mary fondly looked at the picture. "I think it was our senior prom, so 1967, I think. Your father proposed to me a few months after that."
Soon, the duo went through the rest of the box but stopped when they saw a bundle of paper and photos at the bottom of it.
"What's this?" Kim whispered, picking up the stack and inspecting it. "Are these letters?"
Before she could open one up, two battered photos slid out of the bundle, falling onto the hardwood floor. As Kim picked them up, she froze.
"Is this Gram and Gramps?" Gaped Kim.
Nodding slowly, her mother took the photos from her, looking over them herself. "I've never even seen these before."
The black-and-white pictures depicted a couple kissing goodbye during the war and the same couple laughing as they ran out of a church on their wedding day, rice flying through the air.
Each had a date and description on the back.
Our wedding day - July 10, 1940
Lew leaving for basic training - 1942
Before either could comment, another voice filled the room.
"I see you've found our photo albums. Lew! They're in here!"
(Y/n) Nixon walked in and sat on a nearby couch, gesturing for the bundle. A few seconds later, her husband of 43 years strolled into the room, his signature smirk on his face. "I told you we put them in this closet, honey."
"Lewis Nixon, you liar," (y/n) laughed. "Not five minutes ago, you were saying that you put them in the garage!"
Throwing his hands up in surrender, he ruffled his granddaughter's hair before sitting next to his wife on the couch. "Are you gonna let her talk to me like that, squirt?"
Kim cackled, enjoying their banter. "Most of the time, you deserve it, Gramps."
Lew looked at his daughter with raised eyebrows. "She sure is your daughter, alright."
"And your granddaughter," quipped (y/n).
Looking down at the box in his wife's arms, Lewis smiled to himself as he reached for the picture of them on their wedding day. "I remember this like it was yesterday."
"Me too. There's no way it was forty-some years ago."
Kissing (y/n)'s temple, he pulled her close to him. "If it's any consolation, you still look as beautiful as the day I first saw you."
Getting up from the floor, Kim moved and sat next to the couple. "How did you two meet again? I know you've told me, but I forgot."
Lew placed an arm around her and took a deep breath. "Well, Grams and I met in a diner when she got blinded by my beauty and spilled water all over me."
"Lewis," (y/n) scoffed, hitting his chest playfully.
He smirked. "Alright, alright. She tripped and fell for me."
"Here we go again," Mary joked as she prepared for the story she'd heard a million times but never tired of...
Nixon, New Jersey: 1938
It was a hot and sunny Saturday in August when 19-year-old Lewis Nixon and his best friend, Bobby Monroe, escaped the latest highfaluting party held at the Nixon residence. Even though the depression still gripped the country, affluent families like the Nixons and the Monroes didn't have to worry about money like everybody else.
"You hungry?" Lew asked, already anticipating his friend's answer.
Bobby rolled his eyes. "Always. I'll do anything to get away from these stupid things."
"I know how you feel. It's always, 'Lewis, this is Mr. Johnson. And this is his snobby daughter, Alice, or whatever that one's name is."
Hopping into Lewis' brand new Lincoln Zephyr, they set out for the nearby town of Edison, New Jersey.
As they drove, Bobby looked around them, contemplating his food options. "Where do you want to go, Lew?"
"I heard there is a new place up the street called Morgan's Cafe. Wanna try it?"
"As long as they've got edible food, I'm in," Bobby chuckled, clutching his growling stomach. "I'm starving!"
"Good thing it's right here, then.”
After parking, the boys entered the diner with a ding and sat down at a window booth.
“Welcome to Morgan’s! We’ll be with you in a moment,” a soft voice called from the back of the diner.
Minutes later, while the boys were deep in conversation, the kitchen doors opened, and what Lew saw stole the words from his mouth. His gaze was stuck on the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. The boy couldn't help but feel captivated by the girl's dazzling smile, stunning (y/h/c) hair, and cute pink diner uniform, which left him speechless.
Noticing his friend's expression, Bobby looked over his shoulder to see what the big fuss was. He immediately understood as the girl rounded the table, handing them menus with a smile.
"Hi, my name is (y/n), and I'm going to be your server today. What can I get you two fellas to start out?"
Both of the teenagers mind's were thinking one thing:
'What a dame!'
Bobby broke the awkward silence, clearing his throat. "Could I have an RC Cola, please?"
"Sure thing," she nodded, turning to Nixon, who still couldn't form a coherent thought. "What would you like to drink?"
Words? What were words? What were thoughts? All Lewis knew was that the girl, no, young woman, in front of him was stunning. He looked like a deer in headlights as she spoke to him. Luckily, Bobby kicked his friend's leg under the table, breaking him from his trance.
"I'll have a water, please."
"Alrighty," she chirped. "I'll be right back with those."
The boys' eyes followed her until she disappeared behind the kitchen doors. At the same time, they turned toward each other with wide eyes.
"Wow. I've never seen a girl leave you speechless, Lew."
Chuckling, he ran his hand through his hair. "I know. And that's saying something."
In the few minutes she was in the kitchen, Lewis racked his brain for things to say to her. He didn't want to sound like a jerk but wanted to make an impression. Most of the time he met girls, he was introduced by his mother or father at their dinner parties, so he didn't fully know how to act in his current situation.
As (y/n) emerged from the kitchen and strolled over, his heart pounded as he tried to maintain his composure. Unbeknownst to her, a small wrinkle in the floor mat lay in wait for an unsuspecting victim. As fate would have it, amid her stride, her foot caught on the edge and caused her to stumble forward. Time seemed to slow down as she desperately tried to stop the drinks from flying towards the boys.
Lewis, caught off guard by the unexpected turn of events, could only watch in disbelief as the impending disaster unfolded. His half-confident demeanor vanished, replaced by an expression of mild shock and bemusement.
Within seconds, the glass of water made contact with Lew's finely tailored suit, showering him with a cascade of cool, refreshing water. Droplets splashed against his lapel, forming a constellation of wet spots across the fabric, while rivulets trickled down, leaving a damp trail on his pants
As the initial surprise washed over him, the teenager's face transformed into a mixture of surprise and amusement. His lips curled into a half-smile, the corners of his eyes crinkling with genuine humor. Instead of frustration, a sense of amusement colored his reaction. A completely dry Bobby busted out laughing the same time Lew did, knowing the boy could care less about his freshly dry-cleaned suit.
(Y/n)'s cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she rushed to his side, her hands instinctively reaching for napkins to remedy the situation.
Her voice tinged with apologies, "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to trip, and then the water... It was an accident, I swear!"
Lewis's face reddened at her touch as he extended a hand to stop her frantic efforts. His smile remained intact, radiating warmth and understanding with a touch of nervousness.
"Don't worry about it. Accidents happen-"
She stepped back slightly, looking at his suit worriedly as she interrupted him. "I'll pay for it to be cleaned. I-I'm so sorry. "
A genius plan came to his mind, and his smile formed into a little smirk. "I know how you can make it up to me."
His swagger was back.
"How?" She asked, hand rubbing her face in embarrassment. "I'll do just about anything."
"Go on a date with me?" He shrugged.
Her embarrassed expression changed into a grin at his question. "I think that can be arranged...." She prompted, unsure of his name.
"Lewis. Lewis Nixon," he stuck out his hand, winking when she took it gently. "When can I pick you up?"
As the pair locked eyes, it felt like they were the only ones in the diner. Electricity ran through them, warming their bodies on the already hot day. Lew noticed a slight blush creeping up her neck and thought it was adorable.
"I get off at 5," she whispered, writing her name and number on a nearby napkin. "Pick me up here?"
He stood and motioned for Bobby to get up. "Sounds like a plan, sweetheart."
Bobby pulled a few dollars out of his wallet and attempted to hand it to the girl. "Here, this is for the drinks."
Keeping her eyes on Lew's soft browns, she shook her head. "Don't worry about it. It's on the house."
In a moment of courage, he leaned down and kissed her on the cheek as he walked toward the door. "See you at 5, (y/n)."
"See you then, Lewis."
The rest was history.
Nixon, New Jersey: 1985
Kimberly's jaw was on the floor at the end of their story. "So you're telling me you basically fell for Gramps the day you met?"
With a chuckle, (y/n) glanced over at her husband who wore a proud grin. "I guess I did, Kim."
"And two years later, we got married," Lewis stated. "But I knew after our second date I was going to marry her."
Kim, already becoming a lovesick pre-teen, was in awe at their story and had to know more. "What happened when the war started?"
At the mention of the war, Lewis' eyes went to the ground. Even after forty years, the horrid images still flashed in his mind. Luckily, (y/n) answered with a tense smile.
"Your Gramps left in the spring of 1942 after Pearl Harbor was attacked. We'd only been married for two years when he left, and saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I've ever done."
New Brunswick Train Station, New Jersey: May 1942
(Y/n) had tried to prepare herself for her husband's departure since he'd volunteered, but when the time came, all preparation went out the window. The reality of where he was going was everpresent in her mind as they walked hand and hand towards the train platform.
She looked up at a wall clock hung beside them: 12:20. They had ten minutes before he'd have to leave. (Y/n)'s heart was aching at the thought of being without the love of her life for an unknown period of time. She refused to even entertain the idea that he might not come back.
Reaching the correct platform, the couple stopped and turned to face one another. (Y/n) had tears in her eyes as she studied his face, committing every detail to memory. The weight of their imminent separation hung heavily in the air.
(Y/n)'s voice trembled as she spoke, her eyes filled with both love and fear. "Lew, promise me you'll come back. Promise me you'll stay safe."
She threw her arms around his neck, burying her face in his shoulder as she added, "I know you can't promise, but I just need to hear you say it. Please."
"I'll come back to you," he whispered into her hair, trying to memorize what it felt like to hold her in his arms. "I promise."
Pulling away, what was left of (y/n)'s resolve cracked at a stray tear that leaked down her husband's face. She broke into sobs, and Lewis had to hold in his own as he pulled her back into his embrace.
"I don't know what I'm going to do without you, Lew. I don't think I can do this."
He leaned back and gently wiped her tears off of her shining cheeks before cupping them softly. "You can, (y/n). You're the strongest person I know. We can do this, sweetheart."
The train whistle blew loudly, announcing that boarding had started, and (y/n)'s heart dropped to her stomach. The clock read 12:37. How could she say goodbye to her whole world in 3 minutes?
(Y/n) held onto him tightly, burying her face in his shoulder. "Oh, Lew, I love you more than words can say. I'll be here waiting for you, praying for your safe return every day."
He kissed her forehead, his touch gentle and tender. "I love you too, (y/n), more than life itself. I'll write to you as much as I can, and be waiting for yours. We'll make it through this together."
As the distant sound of a train whistle pierced the air again, she looked up at Lewis, her voice trembling. "Kiss me."
Their final kiss was a bittersweet embrace, filled with an amalgamation of longing, love, and unspoken words. (Y/n)'s delicate fingers brushed against Lewis' cheek as he cupped her face gently, his touch warm and comforting. Their lips met, and time seemed to stand still, capturing the intensity of their affection.
(Y/n) could taste the slight saltiness of her own tears mingling with the sweetness of his lips. She memorized the sensation—the gentle pressure, the soft warmth—as if etching it into her very being. It was a kiss that conveyed a deep yearning, a longing to hold onto this moment forever. But just as their embrace deepened, the piercing sound of a train whistle shattered the tranquility of the station.
They reluctantly broke apart, breaths mingling in the air as their gazes locked on each other. Time stood suspended between them, as if holding its breath, reluctant to let go of their connection.
With a teary smile, he picked up his bags and backed away toward the train car. "I love you," he called over his shoulder. "See you soon., sweetheart."
As the train's doors started to close, reality pressed upon them. They stood there, eyes locked until the very last second, etching the image of each other's faces in their hearts.
And as the train pulled away, taking her husband further from her, (y/n) Nixon stood alone on the platform. She touched her lips, still tingling from their final kiss, a mixture of love and sorrow overwhelming her. She whispered, as if he could hear her across the distance, "Come back to me, Lew. Please, come back."
Nixon, New Jersey: 1985
"Over the 12-hundred-some days that we were separated, a week didn't go by that I didn't write Lew. He wrote when he could, and it always made my heart skip a beat when I'd get a letter from him."
(Y/n) reached into the box and grabbed the large stack of letters. "I still can't believe you kept these after all this time."
Lewis' gaze turned from the ground to his wife with misty eyes. "I could never get rid of them. Your letters were what got me through."
Growing up, anytime Lew spoke about the war, it was only to tell a story about his friends Dick, Harry, and Ron. Even some of those times, he got a far-off look that Mary could recognize. (Y/n) quickly shot her daughter a look, and Mary gently took Kim by the arm.
"Come on, Kimmy. Let's go sort through my old stuff."
Getting up, the 12-year-old wore a confused look. "But we're not done looking thro-"
Mary raised her eyebrows at the pre-teen, ushering her out the door. "Come on."
Once they were out of the room, he gently took the bundle from (y/n) and removed the rubber band holding them all together. Lew randomly grabbed one from his lap and started reading it.
"This one's from January 7th of 45'."
"My Dear Husband,
I hope things are going better than what we've been hearing at home. The fighting in Belgium sounds horrifying. All I can do is pray that you're not there, Lew. I know you haven't been able to write, and deep down, I know you're there. If my gut is right, be careful, darling. I need you to come back to me after all this ends.
On a higher note, I finally caved and got a dog! You'd love her, Lew! She's the most adorable cocker spaniel named Ruby. I've had her for a few weeks and have fallen in love with her cute personality. People who say dogs don't have personalities are stupid. She does this thing where she'll come sit next to me on the couch and listen to me rant about my day. And on the nights when I'm struggling, she'll snuggle next to me and lay her head on my chest. It's like she's trying to tell me everything is gonna be okay.
Even with her here with me, I still miss you more than anything. I feel like a piece of me is missing without you here beside me. Everything feels wrong without you here. Christmas was really hard. Who am I to talk about my life being hard? You're goodness know's where fighting in a war. All this goes to say that I love you so much, and I can't wait to hold you in my arms again. Stay safe and come back to me.
All my love,
(Y/n)"
Lew took a deep breath and took her hand."I know I don’t talk about it much, but the war… It was hell. December of 44’. We didn’t have winter clothes or supplies, and the men- the casualties were terrible. There weren’t many Toccoa men left afterward.”
(Y/n) squeezed his hand gently. “I remember being so worried about you”
“When things got really bad, I would read your past letters. They were the only warmth in that frigid forest.”
“I did the same thing here. When I missed you more than normal, I would read the letter you sent me for my 25th birthday. It’s in here somewhere,” she whispered, searching through the box. (Y/n) knew Lewis didn’t like to go on about the war, so over their marriage, she just listened and didn’t ask any questions, no matter how badly she wanted to. Early on, she decided to let him share when he wanted to. Once she found it, she started to read it aloud.
“Dear Birthday Girl,
Happy 25th birthday, sweetheart! As I write this in my muddy foxhole, know that my heart overflows with my deepest affection and longing for you. I find myself cherishing the memories we’ve shared and dreaming of the moments we’ll create together when this war is but a distant memory.
Your presence in my life has been nothing but a gift, and every day, I’m so grateful that we found each other. Your smile, laughter, and the way you light up a room with your presence captured me from the very start. Your kindness, compassion, and unwavering support have been my strength in the months since we parted.
In the midst of the chaos around me, your beautiful face is etched in my mind, and the thought of your warm embrace gets me through the hardest times. It’s the memory of your tender touch that keeps me going.
On this special day, I want to shower you with love and blessings, even from afar. You deserve all the happiness this world can offer, and I promise that once this war is over, we’ll celebrate your birthday in a way that makes up for all the times we’ve been apart. I hate that I’ve missed 23, 24, and 25, but know that I will make up for it every day for the rest of our lives. I love you more than words can say. Happy birthday, (y/n). I hope you have the best day.
With all my love,
Lewis”
A fond smile formed on her face as she turned to him. “I think I read that every single holiday, and when I hadn’t gotten anything from you in a while.”
“I had one of those, too,” he smirked. “Mine involved a few pictures and a-”
(Y/n) smacked his arm with a mock gasp. “Lewis Nixon! Our daughter and granddaughter are in the next room over!”
“Ehh,” he shrugged. “It never stopped us before.”
“I don’t know if you haven’t noticed, Lew, but we’re not in our 20s anymore, hun.”
With a chuckle, Lewis started sorting through their box of pictures once again. There were ones from Mary’s childhood all the way up to when Kim was born. One in particular, caught his eye. Mary was around 4 in the picture, and it showed the three of them in front of the Golden Gate Bridge on one of their trips to visit Lew’s mom and sister in San Fransisco.
“Remember this?” He asked as he held it up.
(Y/n) raised her eyebrows and laughed under her breath. “I remember I got the worst sunburn of my life that trip.”
Laughter filled the air of the small room as the couple continued to sort through their beloved possessions.
Two Weeks Later
They were gathered outside their house with Mary, her husband, and Kim, looking at the past 40 years of their lives. All the memories flashed in their minds, and the couple willed away tears.
“We’ve had a great life, haven’t we?”
Tucking into her husband’s side, (y/n) laid her head on his shoulder. “Yeah, we have. You know, I’ve been thinking. I think even in a different life, you still would’ve been mine, Lew.”
“Me, too, Sweetheart,” he whispered, kissing her temple. “We really were timeless."

ACTING MISSION 019
SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER ( PART 1 OUT OF 1 ) SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: Cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise. for reference as to whether your muse is eligible for this event, please click over HERE.
all of the actors are called to a meeting with their managers, BYUN MIDO, HAN YOOHWA, KIM DONGSUN, and SEO HEEJUNG. not wanting to waste any time, the managers begin going through everything that will be happening in the new term.
DORMS
HEEJUNG begins to tells them the rules and information regarding housing, “in the past terms, we’ve allowed everyone who has joined legacy agency the option to stay in dorms or find their own place. however, due to the incident that happened a few months ago and how our bosses have been telling us to be ever so more watchful towards all of you, we’ve changed our rules. similar to last term, every person who joins the subsidiary will stay in the dorms for one term. if you have been under probation before, then that will last two terms — one for the term where you were under probation and another to follow every new person that joins us.”
“for the ones that have gone through one term in this path without any warnings, punishments, or scandals during that time, they will be given the option to live offsite. those of you confirmed to stay will be able to move into your new dorms starting from today. otherwise, for those of you who have chosen to stay in your own place, you will need to pack up and leave your current dorms starting from today as well. and just like AECHA has said in the past, just because you aren’t under our watch 24/7 anymore does not mean that you can go crazy. if we hear of any inappropriate behavior, you will be immediately brought back to the dorms.” DONGSUN looks at each one of the actors, making sure that they know and are aware of the new dorm changes.
SNS
HEEJUNG stated, “sns is important for exposure for our actors. however, it’s not absolutely imperative, so the rules haven’t changed. you’ll be permitted a PUBLIC INDIVIDUAL INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT after meeting certain conditions. first, you must have completed a full trimester in this path and second, you must have at least 6 posts on the legacy entertainment account already. this just gives us comfort that you know what is or isn’t appropriate. for those of you who are eligible for an account, the information will be provided to you shortly. again, as with the dorms, this privilege can be taken away if you decide to do some funny business.”
DEBUT CONTRACT
“now we’re almost done with the basics, but there’s one legal matter that we have to cover right now.” HEEJUNG turns to look at YOOHWA and MIDO, who is giving the contracts to some of the actors. “please read and review through the new terms and conditions. once you are done, sign and return the contract to me or DONGSUN as soon as possible. it doesn’t have to be done right now, but the sooner the better because your modeling career will be starting soon and we want to make sure this is done in a seamless manner.”
( this is just an ic note, there is no need to submit this ooc )
FANSITE ( OPEN EVENT 6 )
for the ones that have joined the path, they will be eligible to participate in OPEN EVENT 6, where they can post content for the fansites! more information about this can be found over HERE.

NEW PROJECTS & ACTION SCHOOL
“we’ve been offered two acting projects for people to participate in. however, all of you are only allowed to audition for ONE of the projects. but due to the projects’ premises and themes, everyone will be required to attend classes in SEOUL ACTION SCHOOL. for some that are unfamiliar with the school, it is known for acting and action training. so yes, it is safe to guess that everyone will be learning stunt fighting in some form of it.” HEEJUNG explained out loud as she turns to look at MIDO and YOOHWA, who were holding files for the acting projects offered to the group.
as the two female managers started handing out the files, DONGSUN chimed in as he told them briefly, “as you will see in the files, there are TWO acting projects. PROJECT SD is a historical theatrical play while PROJECT AKA is a crime drama. all of you have until the end of this week to let me or one of the other managers know which project you are interested in auditioning for. once you have told us your choice, we will be giving you the curriculum and classes that you will be taking over the next few months.”
PROJECT SD INFO
if a muse chooses to audition for PROJECT SD, they will be taking the following classes: ‘stage combat’ ( specifically martial arts, sword play, archery ), ‘korean language in sageuk’ ( learning the language and diction used in sageuks ), and ‘improvisation’. while the number of classes they will be taking is less than the other project, more time will be spent on those classes.
in terms of additional point requirements ( besides ACTING ), any actors interested in PROJECT SD must have AT LEAST 75 KOREAN before the writing requirements deadline.
sometime around SEPTEMBER, the muse will be invited to audition in front of THREE staff members, with one of them being casting director, GEUM SUNG CHUL. for this audition, there will be two parts. the first one will be an improvisation scene with the muse being a member of the ROYAL FAMILY and saying a monologue that would be given to their subordinates ( while it is not known ic, ooc wise this is to assess the muse’s improvisation skills along with their strengths and weaknesses in the korean language ). the second part will be another improvisation scene, this time with a stunt coordinator who will act as the opponent who wants to overtake the kingdom owned by the muse’s family. in the second part, they will be asked to act out a simple fighting scene using martial arts.
for the muses interested in participating in this project, they must fulfill the following writing requirements below using the hashtag lgc:castingcall017.
ACTION SCHOOL: write a 300+ word solo or a 4 replies ( minimum 8 lines, 2 posts per mun ) thread with another ACTOR or MODEL attending the PROJECT SD courses about the training or lessons for +10 ACTING ! ** can be done up to two times. if one chooses to do threads for both of them, it must be with different partners **
PROJECT SD AUDITION: write a 250+ words solo about the second part of the audition ( improvised fighting scene and the muse’s reaction to it ) for +5 ACTING and +5 POINTS TO DISTRIBUTE ANYWHERE !
you have until SEPTEMBER 14, 2024 at 11:59PM EDT to complete the requirements and validate your points. please submit the following form ONCE on the points blog.

This is love I just can’t live without Ch. 3
Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw x f!Kazansky!reader (affectionately often called “Baby Ice”)
“This is love I just can’t live without” masterlist
Biker!au
Chapter summary: Your dad has basically no food in the house so to the store you go with your best friend in tow. Of course you run into someone you don’t want to see at the store.
Chapter 3 “Nowhere to go” Baby Ice
Chapter trigger warnings: cheating, panic attacks
You roll over in a sleepy daze and look over at the alarm clock on your nightstand. Noon. You can’t remember the last time you slept this late.
Last night all of your uncles (minus one) stayed until after you went to bed. You could still hear them as you drifted off to sleep. They had told you story after story until you could barely keep your eyes open and then sent you to bed after receiving a hug and forehead kiss from each of them, which may have made you tear up. Just a little. It’d been a long time since you were surrounded by so much love.
Not that they didn’t come and visit, because they did, they all couldn’t just abandon the club in case something happened. So, about once a month you have an uncle sleeping in your spare bedroom. Puts a slight damper on your social life. Puts an even bigger one on your love life. Well, it would, if you had one.
Even five years later, you’re still scared of trying again. How could you after the one person who said they would never hurt you, would rather cut their own leg off than hurt you, did just that? The pain still feels the same, time has done little to numb it. Being back makes it worse.
You hear the front food open and close from down the hall not thinking much of it until you head how fast the footsteps that came in were. Right towards your room. You’d be scared if you didn’t know that exact gait. You had about five seconds to brace yourself. You roll over and curl up the best you can.

The door to your bedroom flings open and before you know it a body jumps on top of you.
“Oooof! Really Nat?! I just woke up!” You yell as you try and wiggle out of the ball you curled yourself into.
“And you’ve been home for like twelve hours and I hadn’t seen your face yet soooo sucks to suck,” Natasha says as continues to lay on top of you, not moving an inch to let you uncurl your uncomfortable body.
You try and wriggle some more, “Would you get off?!”
Natasha sighs and rolls off then lays down on top of your blankets next to you, “Okay so what’s the plan for the day? We doing anything fun? I want to do something fun.”
You shrugged, “If you count going grocery shopping as fun then we’re about to have a blasty blast. Dad has like no food in the house so to the store we go.”
“That sounds boring,” Natasha whines.
You sit up and stretch your arms above your head. “I’ll push you around in the cart?” you offer.
Natasha sits up next to you, “That sounds better. We better find some fun things there or I’ll be pissed.”
You knock your shoulder against hers, “We’ll find some girly drinks there too so we don’t have to drink beer. Better?”
“Better.”
It didn’t take you too too long to get ready to go to the store, in between catching up with your best friend since you last saw her two months ago.
You both hopped in your car for the short drive to the store.
“You know you have to play lookout, right?” you say and glance at Natasha as you drive.
She nods, “I’m actually insulted that you would think that I wouldn’t be lookout. Actually you know what? I want to be a spy. Can that be my job?”
You laugh, “As long as you keep lookout while being a spy I don’t care what you want your job title to be.”
She grins at you as you pull into the store parking lot.
When she gets out you watch her stand up on the door sill and look around, “Don’t see his bike or the bronco. Coast is clear.”
You laugh watching her hop down and slam the door shut then you get out and meet her at the back of your car. She immediately slides her arm through your elbow so the two of you walk arm in arm into the store.
The two of you stop at the carts and you pull one out which Natasha immediately climbs into. First you hit up the fresh produce knowing that your father probably hasn’t eaten something green in a long while, not since your mother was cooking for him and that stopped at least six months ago when she started to get sick. You piled a couple different fruits and vegetables around Natasha as she made faces at anyone who looked at her funny for sitting in the cart as you pushed her around the store.
“What cereal should we get?” you ask as you push the cart down the cereal aisle.
Natasha looks at all the different options, “Which one has the most sugar? That’s the one I want.”
You roll your eyes and reach for a box of Froot Loops with marshmallows. Can’t get much more surgery than that.
“Kazansky, as I live and breathe,” a voice says from further down the aisle.
“I’m the worst spy,” Natasha whispers at you.
You stay facing the cereal boxes and squeeze your eyes shut. You can feel your heart start to race. It’s suddenly much warmer than it was a second ago. It’s been a long time since you heard his voice. Not since that night.
You sat outside your high school waiting on Bradley. He said he’d pick you up.
The school was having a theater summer camp for kids and you signed up to help with it. Today had been the last day so you had to stay later to help clean up and make sure everything was situated. You didn’t mind at all.
The only problem was your mom dropped you off that morning because Bradley was supposed to pick you up so you two could go to Jake’s house for a party and now Bradley wasn’t answering his phone.
You’ve called him five times in the last 45 minutes. Had something happened to him? You hope he’s okay. You think maybe you should call his mom to check before you get a text from Nat asking you when you’re going over to Jake’s because she doesn’t want to be there without you.
You call her and explain the situation and she sighs. This isn’t the first time Bradley’s forgotten to pick you up. It doesn’t happen often but it still happens.
She tells you she’ll be right there to get you and the two of you can run back to her house and get ready. She’s says you might as well look as hot as possible while you make Bradley feel bad for forgetting you.
True to her word, Nat’s there to get you less than ten minutes later. Still no word from Bradley. You sent him a text to let him know you found a ride. He hasn’t even read it yet.
Every time you look at your phone you can see it on Natasha’s face just how mad she’s getting. She’s mumbled a couple things under her breath as she drove you to her house.
The two of you change into the outfits you had picked out for the night, you had yours in your backpack thankfully. You help each other with makeup then you’re on your way.
Jake’s parents own a cute farmhouse on the outskirts of town. There’s a barn in the backyard which became the party spot all throughout high school. The barn has some old couches strewn about and some speakers that Jake hung up along with some LED lights. It was a perfect spot for parties or hanging out.
When you two arrived at the barn you were handed beers at the door by one friend or another. The party was already in full swing. Music turned up. Lights flashing. Some kids were looking a little wobbly.
“I’m going to see if I can find Bradley,” you say to Nat and she grabbed your hand.
“I’ll help. Two sets of eyes are better than one,” she said and followed after you.
It took you 15 minutes to find him. 15 minutes before your world came crashing down.
You found Bradley. You found him with a girl on either of his legs, sitting on his lap on one of the old couches in the corner under the hayloft. One girl had her hand running up and down Bradley’s chest while the other one was shoving her tongue down his throat.
Your cup of beer crashed to the floor, not that they noticed. They were in their own little world. Clearly Bradley was too busy to pick you up.
You quickly started back towards the door with tears streaking your makeup down your face. You didn’t care. Natasha was right at your heels.
As soon as you exited the barn, a hand grabs for yours, effectively stopping you. It was Jake.
“Where you goin’, darlin? What’s got you upset?” He asks, concern written all over his face.
You just shook your head and pulled your hand back and continued on towards Natasha’s car.
You try to take a few deep breaths to calm yourself as you hear footsteps get closer to you. Two sets. Oh God. Please no. Please please please no. You can’t. You can’t do this today. You should have waited for one of your uncles to come shopping with you. They wouldn’t have let this happen. You can’t breathe. You can’t breathe. You can’t-
-you jump feeling a hand brush your arm and snap around towards it, you open your eyes reluctantly and it’s just Natasha that reached out to you, hand pulled back slightly from when she spooked you.
“Say the word and we leave,” she whispers to you.
You laugh weakly and shake your head, “I can do this, right?”
She nods, “Of course you can.” She gives you a reassuring smile and turns towards where the footsteps stopped, “Bagman. Hey Coyote.”
“Hey,” a voice you don’t know responds back.
You turn apprehensively towards them. He’s not with them. It’s just Jake. And someone named Coyote apparently. Not that you wanted to see Jake either but if you had to choose.
“Jake… you look… good,” you say with a shrug. You don’t really want to stand around exchanging pleasantries with him.
“Well, I am good, Kazansky, I’m very good,” Jake says grinning at you. “In fact, I am too good to be true.” Still full of himself.
“Perfect, then I can pretend you’re not. Okay bye!” you say and grab hold of the cart to start pushing it again.
Jake jogs in front of the cart and puts his hands on the front of it to stop it, “What’s the rush, Baby Ice? Haven’t seen you in so long. We gotta catch up.”
Natasha scoffs and kicks at his hands, “Haven’t seen her for good reason, asshole. Coyote come move your friend before I end him.” She kicks at Jake’s hands one more time making sure to land her heel on the back of his hand.
Jake yanks both his hands away and shakes them out swearing under his breath. He scowls at her as he stalks back to his friend, “Well, Kazansky …Nat, it’s been lovely seeing the both of you. I’m sure we’ll see each other again real soon.”
You give the two men a final glance before you start pushing the cart down the aisle away from them.
“Oh and don’t worry I’ll let Bradley know you say hi,” Jake calls to you, then snickers.
You freeze immediately. Your breath starts to speed up and you worry your bottom lip. You glance at Natasha and she’s already glaring at the figure behind you.
“Good going asshole!” Natasha yells and hops out of the cart before grabbing your arm and pulling you all the way outside to your car. She helps you into the passenger seat and goes around to the driver side and starts the car. The whole ride home you can hear her muttering under her breath as you pick at the strings on the ripped pair of jean shorts you’re wearing.
When you get to your house you practically sprint inside to your room and throw yourself on your bed. Safe.
A couple minutes later Nat comes walking into your room and makes you scoot over and lays next to you, “I’m sorry I didn’t see him sooner.”
You give her a weak smile, “It’s not your fault. It wouldn’t have done much good. You would have seen him maybe two seconds before he opened his big mouth.”
“Yeah, but two seconds is still two seconds. We could have faked an emergency,” Nat says. “Clearly I should have gotten a call from the President of the United States asking me to join a secret spy agency and we have to rush to get on a plane.”
You laugh. Nat has always been able to pull you up from whatever dark hole you find yourself in. When you left town, she was right there with you all summer until she had to come back home for school. You are forever grateful for her. The best friend you’ve always been able to count on.
You and Nat fall into a comfortable silence before you could hear the rumble of a bike engine outside. You both wait a few minutes until you don’t hear the bike turn off. A knock comes from the front door and you both sit up and look at each other. You then hear the bike drive away.
“I’ll go see,” Nat says while getting off your bed. You hear her walk to the door and open it. Then she calls your name.
You head towards her and see a couple grocery bags on the front step.
“Where’d those come from?” You ask.
Nat shrugs then hands you a folded piece of paper with your name on it. You unfold it:
“I’m truly sorry for how Hangman acted at the store. I should have stopped him. Please know I would have never let him talk to you if I had known it would upset you. It won’t happen again.
- Javy (Coyote)”
You look up at Natasha, “Wait a minute. THAT was Javy?!”

You glanced tiredly around your now very cluttered living room. You had spent half the day pulling out Christmas decorations, and then shopping for even more. You were excited. This was the first year you were spending Christmas with all the guys. It had been two years since the five of you hooked up in that hotel room. You had held to the decision to meet regularly for more trysts. For over a year the five of you got together at least monthly—more if you could. Sometimes it wasn’t all four of the men, work and life got in the way, but you hadn’t gone more than a few weeks without seeing at least one of them.
After that first year something shifted. Deeper feelings developed, and you all realized you wanted this to be a more permanent arrangement. Basically, a guy at work started to show interest, and you told the guys. You had no interest in your coworker, but you never kept secrets from these men, so you let them know someone was pursuing you while out to dinner one night. They all went very still and quiet. You knew they discussed it when you excused yourself to go to the bathroom because when you went back to Oberyn’s house, they immediately proposed a plan.
They hated the idea of anyone else with you. You were theirs. So, despite all four men being devout bachelors, they committed to you right then and there. A few months ago you all moved in together, and it was absolute bliss.
Oberyn and Dave didn’t have their kids this year for the holidays, so you wanted to make it extra special to take their minds off not being with their children…hence the decoration overload currently inhabiting your living room.
“Holy shit,” a deep male voice startled you from your thoughts. You turned to see Max and Santi had arrived home.
“Oh, thank God you’re here!” You exclaimed in relief. You kissed them both in greeting.
“What happened in here?” Max asked.
“I need your help,” you began. “I want to get this all sorted and the tree up before Oberyn and Dave get home. Then we can all decorate the tree together.”
“You know what? I’m not even gonna ask,” Santi chuckled. “Just tell me what you need me to do.” A little over an hour later the three of you had made a lot of progress. The tree was up and almost everything was organized.
“I’m gonna order some dinner,” Santi said as he glanced at his watch. “They’ll be home soon, and I’m sure they’ll be as hungry as we are.”
“Good idea,” you agreed.
“Max, you eating what we’re having or…something else?” Santi asked.
“I’ll eat with you guys,” he answered. His hot gaze fell on you. “I’ll have ‘something else’ for dessert.” You shivered in anticipation. Max didn’t always feed off of you. He was afraid of going too far and hurting you. But when he did, it felt so damn good. You felt strong arms wrap around you from behind.
“Would you like that, sweet cheeks?” Max whispered in your ear. He ran his nose up the side of your neck. “You want me to suck on this beautiful throat later?”
“Mmm, yes please,” you moaned. Just then you heard the front door open. Dave and Oberyn walked in, their eyes widening slightly at the scene before them.
“Wow,” Oberyn said. “You’ve been busy.” Max dropped his arms so you could rush forward to greet the others. After kissing them both you stepped back and surveyed them. They looked tired, but relieved to be home.
“Are you guys up for some tree trimming?” You asked.
“Of course, baby girl,” Dave said as Oberyn nodded. You clapped in excitement.
“Yay!” You cheered. “This is going to be so much fun.”
“Dinner’s ordered and on the way!” Santi called out. You assigned tasks to everyone, and the five of you got to work. Elf played on the tv and in no time at all the tree was done. Dinner arrived, and you decided to eat in the family room so you could admire the tree. You all sat on floor around the coffee table while you enjoyed dinner.
You couldn’t wipe the smile off your face. Your life had changed so much in the last 2 years, and you couldn’t wait to see how much better it would get.
