What is Cassgender?
🖤💛💚🩶 - FAQ and more:
What does 'cassgender' mean?
Cassgender is a term under the genderqueer/ non-binary umbrella for people who feel their gender is unimportant or irrelevant to their life. This can include feeling like you have some sort of gender, but it is not something big or important to you.
Being cassgender does not necessarily mean that you don't have any gender at all. It's also possible to feel like you still have a gender to some extent, e.g. you recognize that you're somewhat non-binary/ agender/ demigender/ cis/ trans.. but you don't find it important enough to really "identify" yourself through this.
Cass experiences may include:
- not really identifying as any gender/ not having a strong genderidentity
- feeling like your gender is an irrelevant part of your identity
- Feeling disconnected from other people of your gender, because they put a lot of importance in their genderidentity. (For example they feel very strongly about being male/ female/ agender and not something else)
- feelings of total apathy/ indifference towards gender
- just not caring about gender altogether./ The very concept of gender is unimportant or seems pointless to you.
Some Microlabels under the cassgender umbrella:
Cassflux: The apathy/ indifference towards gender fluctuates.
Cassfluid: Someone who feels indifferent towards their gender, but also knows that their gender is fluid in some way
Demicass: people who partially identify as cassgender but partially also put imortance to being another gender as well
Where does the name "cassgender" come from?
The term "cassgender" combines the Latin prefix "cass-" with "gender."
Latin cass- (cassus/ casso...):
- empty, hollow, devoid of something
- to annul, reject
- useless, fruitless
- to lack
What do the colours of the flag stand for?
- Beige/ tan and slate/ grey both represent apathy towards gender.
- Black for the absence of genderidentity. (This can mean you are genderless (or semi-genderless), not defining yourself through gender, feeling a disconnect from gendered labels and so on. )
- Green for the non-binary spectrum (Alluding to the green in the agender flag. This stripe is also there to include cass people wo still have a gender alongside those who are completely genderless/ unlabeled.)
How does cassgender differ from agender?
While both cassgender and agender involve a lack of connection to traditional gender identities, agender people identify as having no gender at all. In contrast, cassgender individuals may have any gender, or be genderless, but consider this unimportant or irrelevant to their personal identity. (Although cassflux people might fluctuate with how apathetic they are.) Agender people can, and often do, still care about not having a gender.
Do you have to be non binary to be Cassgender?
No, you don't have to identity as non-binary to be cassgender. "Cassgender" is defined by a sense of apathy or indifference towards one's own gender. This identity can be held by people of any gender, whether they are binary (male or female) or non-binary.
How does Cassgender differ from post-modern genders (Pomogender), gender abolitism, gender-fuck/ genderpunk, or similar terms?
- Pomogender people strongly care about not identifying with any existing genders and feel beyond or past gender. Cass people do not particularly care about one's lack of genderidentity.
- Cassgender also says nothing about wanting to get rid of gender as a concept entirely, like gender abolitism does.
- Genderfuck is a culture that has nothing to do with one's actual gender. It's a punk movement that's about actively opposing gendernormativity, resisting gender norms and the like. It's possible to be cass and do genderfuckery at the same time, but the two are not related.
What pronouns should I use?
Cassgender people can use whatever pronouns they like. Pronouns and presentation are not equal to gender. It is possible to have preferred pronouns, or use multiple sets of pronouns, or just accept any pronouns other people use for you.
How is cassgender related to gender dysphoria?
Cassgender individuals may or may not experience gender dysphoria. The key aspect of cassgender is the perceived irrelevance of gender, which can be independent of feelings of dysphoria or comfort with one's body
Cassgender experiences:
(...can, but don't necessarily have to, include: )
some of those points don't really have anything to do with cassgender at all, but are often asked like: "Can I be X and also cass?"
Relatable story by Vilhart: https://youtu.be/hmKix-75dsg?si=F7QJuO-zpjoBt_k2
- Feelings of total apathy/ indifference towards your gender
- Feeling like your gender is an irrelevant part of your identity
- Just not caring about gender altogether
- You place no value on your gender
- Being (partially-) genderless or agender
- You don't define yourself through gender
- Thinking: because of my AGAB or presentation, people see me as a girl/ boy, so I may as well just be that
- you say you're cis simply because it's safe, easy and comfortable
- "What's your gender/ pronouns?" "Meh, whatever."
- You don't understand gender or why gender and the right pronouns are so important to people
- You are understanding and supportive of other people's gender identity, but you just don't get it
- You don't instinctively know your gender
- You feel like it would be better to redefine gender and gender roles in culture
- You do not care what pronouns people use for you
- You do have a pronoun preference
- When describing yourself as a person, words like man or woman are not an important point on the list
- You can't find a good answer to: "I am X gender because..." that does not involve your body, appearance, or stereotypes
- You can relate to a gender to some degree, (e.g. cis, non-binary, trans, agender, demigenders), but don't find it important enough to need it acknowledged, or to want to socially or medically transition be seen as this gender etc.
- You're feeling a disconnect from gendered labels
- You're feeling like an impostor, or like you're not telling the whole truth when you're in men-only/ women-only groups
- You have looked up a lot of different genders, but find it difficult to fully relate to people in the communities, because they often feel very strongly about being this gender
- You feel exhausted if you have to conform to gender norms
- Feeling exhausted with gender in general
- You feel neither gender euphoria nor dysphoria
- You have gender/ body dysphoria
- If you suddenly woke up as the opposite sex, it would be a change, but ultimately it wouldn't really bother you
- You're cassgender because you want to be free from having to care and think any more about your gender

ultimately when it comes to shipping and fandom space treatment of aspec characters i just don't accept "aro/ace people can still date/have sex" as an answer from nonaspecs. like yeah. mhm. okay. now i think we both know that you're not saying that out of real interest in the diversity of aspec experiences. so you can turn in your seventeen-page essay on why and how you plan to examine this character's aspec identity within the context of a romantic or sexual relationship complete with evidence from canon and peer reviews from multiple aspec people within the next week or i'm putting you in the pit from the edgar allen poe story
#you know. the one with the pendulum#'hey. why are you as an allo person shipping this aspec character like this'#'oh aspec people can still date/have sex!'#'yeah. now can you answer the question that i actually asked you'#like goddamn just say you don't care they're aspec and you want to fulfill a sexual/romantic fantasy with them. that's Fine#it like. sucks. for sure. lotta aspec people will be unhappy with you. but everyone is entitled to their own wants and experiences.#but i'd prefer you just be honest with it rather than using our community's conversation points as retroactive justification#and ONCE AGAIN. you guys are real fucking cavalier with this shit and it shows a real fundamental lack of respect for aspecs#when most of you would NEVER ship a canonically gay character with the 'other' gender. cause again. it would suck.#you can do it. nobody's Stopping you. but it would suck.#and we understand that putting a queer character in situations that erase that queerness is shitty! until it comes to aspec characters!#and whoa... there it is again... people don't consider aspec identities to be queer... crazy how it always comes back to that#anyway. you all know what i'm talking about. have seen many posts about this lately#it is [ long sigh ] unfortunately a very hot button issue with the advent lately of alastor hazbinhotel#which. again. god i wish there were other canon aspec characters to be having this conversation about.#but we'll have to do our best with what we have#aromantic#aromanticism#arospec#aroace#talking#aspec#asexual#asexuality

the thing about pei ming. is that what the narrative shows you straight out is him in a relationship where he didn't follow the typical romantic convention of abandoning everything for the other person. and then him attempting to cover for his nepotism grandkid. and then his reputation for sleeping with a lot of women. and then it really doesn't want to let you talk about the fact that he's very consistent about making sure that the women he has relationships with are taken care of after he's gone. or that he was doing the honorable thing by not taking the easy way out of a war and did his best with an impossible situation with that woman afterwards and made sure she was taken care of to the best of his ability. or that shi wudu, water tyrant, trusts him so much that he's essentially appointed him as shi qingxuan's guardian in case anything happens to him. like YES he's a whore. AND.
#i love being a xuan ji apologist i love when women are toxic. in my pei ming fanboy arc rn though#sorry for being a pei ming apologist i don't think he gets enough credit though#he's not morally bankrupt he actually has a very strong sense of honor and moral standards.#it's just that he. likes sex.#he cannot help being aroallo. that's not his fault. man just likes sex but doesn't care much for romantic relationships#anyway yada yada demonization of sex in our current culture nd sex as immoral when not accompanied by romance all that.#if he was not a guy who liked having sex. if he had purely romantic relationships and then made sure they were taken care of after.#how would people talk about him then...#anyway in my head he's the aromantic god of love he's big nd strong and handsome and he's my everything. he's my older brother#he's my gender icon#we could be frat boys together. in another life#talking#tgcf#pei ming#tian guan ci fu

Is this fanfic friendly? I feel like an outlier.
I guess this is my sign it's time to throw together a FAQ post to link to lol.
Yes, every event for this blog is fanfic friendly :D
Though as I mentioned on my Ominous October post, for events that include multiple short stories, I encourage everyone to flex their creativity and take one of their planned short story fanfics, and at least *attempt* to turn one of them into something entirely original; rebuilding a character and story from the ground up to stand on its own two legs is no easy feat, and that is what makes it so fun!
It really gets your creative gears turning, to make an "au of an existing material" to be something entirely original, and you can be pleasantly surprised about the things you come up with!
As a few people say, its not just a matter of "filing the serial numbers off" -- you have to add in just as much *or more* as what you take out when you are turning a fanfiction into something that is original and completely divorced from its original source material / inspiration, and that is a hard, but very rewarding challenge!
Obviously, this is not a requirement (there's no hard requirements for any of the challenges, other than no cheating, including no using AI),
but if you would like an extra challenge for the short story events and you're planning on doing entirely fan-fiction, I highly recommend trying it out at least once, and seeing where it leads you--
you may find yourself pleasantly surprised by what you find down that rabbit hole!
#replies#novella november#long rambly tags to follow lol#including anti royalist / anti billionaire shit#ominous october#this is what my novella november is going to be#something that WAS a huge earth-shattering fanfic AU#but before I even got past a WIP Oneshot I'd already realized that what I was planning was going to turn canon so far on its head it would#be unrecognizable and it would be much better off and more coherent if I made it entirely original#so now it is!#not only does this involve changing every single characters name#everyone is now a completely different species other than human because thats always fun#and of course we're also tackling all the issues that had annoyed me in omega verse fics since I was like 14 and liked the#creature aspects but hated the biological essentialism and misogny / caste systems#if your fantasy people have an enforced caste system you gotta actually treat that like the horror and systemic oppression it is#not just say 'biological = right' like dude what do you think people have been saying about real women this whole time????#people literally insist women are biologically inferior to men do you really think supporting that idea is going to make you sound#progressive just because your main character is a tomboy independant woman?#also like she lost all her independence as soon as she found a man to marry so uhhhhh#what happened to being ready and willing to hit the bricks if people kept talking down to you and condescending you for being a woman????#why did you go from independant badass tomboy to fainting damsel who spends all her time worrying about failing to produce an heir#so her husband can take power#instead of just straight up telling your husband#'hey I don't want to deal with the bullshit from your father how about we do the-#- socially acceptable thing and just go off to make our own independant settlement with some of the villagers who are on your side'#like your husband would literally be escstatic about this idea of finally getting out from under his dad's tyrannical thumb#and its more like way more than half the villagers would go with you not just a handful#theyve been sick of the kings shit for years and only your husband's potential rise to rule kept them in check#cus he actually cares about the villagers and goes among them#while still clearly having some biases to work through when it comes to class and gender equality

how did we let the word "pansexual" get to the mainstream... I'm sorry some people were so biphobic they invented an entirely different word just so they wouldn't have to call themselves bi but can we stop giving it legitimacy now
#there's no definition of pan that doesn't diminish bisexuality or overlap with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#and it's annoying to hear “our characters are pan”#while before all we had was “oh they just don't care about gender” instead of simply saying they're bi

Someone being extremely annoying in the replies of my flowey and clover gif and I'm running out of patience 😭
#'well I THINK theyd just kill everyone then never reset in neutral' 'WE decide who clover is at heart' can you not#like. this is a piece of fanart. did you really just reply to tell me you don't like my headcanons or what#like... at least mention the art of you're gonna go on a several reply stint of this...#and im sorry but mmmmh... bad takes. frisk is morally ambiguous and its impossible to know what they'd do without our influence at this tim#but its a. fucking HUGE plot point in yellow neutral that we know what clover does without influence. without us. without flowey.#they stay w toriel indefinitely...#there's wiggle room for why and that's interesting. but its very clear vengeance wouldnt normally be their driving force#and that in itself is interesting! do we make them give into their anger? warp their sense of justice?#are they just going through the motions of getting this done now that they've ended up on this path?#that's all way more interesting to discuss than what feels like just treating them as a nothing character to treat as an insert#they did say its bc they dont like considering vengeance canon but that stumps me even more#why do you think we mold them then????#and idk if the devs said anything about it being noncanon but i haven't heard so#(and the devs also said Clover's gender is 'up to interpretation' and that's stupid so i also just don't care I'm sorry)#I'd rather embrace all routes and consider what that can mean for the characters#vengeance being unrealistic for ut means nothing when NONE of uty is realistic for ut#it's just a cool what if kinda story

#i have had the same reaction to the discourse around how gendered words like guys are in the english language for as long as i can remember#yeah sure cool if it's offensive to you to use it as a gender neutral phrase i won't do that around you#but i will also likely gradually start to avoid you because i am already hypervigilent about my speech to a degree i can barely tolerate#so if you're going to add to that process for me i have to actually enjoy our friendship enough to keep being that retraumatizing to myself#and for whatever reason that usually doesn't end up being true with people i know who find the word guys to be misgendering#i don't have a point or an opinion here just an observation that when we ask others to remove triggers on our behalf#it may take the work of managing those triggers off our shoulders#but it doesn't go away#it just gets moved#and you need to keep track of how many triggers you're asking another person to manage on your behalf or you risk#overextending your friends' love and care for you in relation to their ability to love and care for themselves#so maybe try to share the weight when you can rather than handing it off.

why are they laughing at him as he gets straight up killed??? he doesn't deserve this! he's a sweet kid at heart! he literally just needs one (1) real friend!!
#jack facts#willow and xander and tara all got that exact type of chance and you could argue the same is true for cordelia and anya!#and why don't we just not even start in on angel#like jonathan went from attempted suicide to so grateful for one moment of attention he created a whole award to give about it#to IN ONE YEAR becoming so powerful a witch he seamlessly altered the perception of the entire population of the world#without any adverse effects to himself and only the one (1) flaw that is inherent to the spell he used#to all but instantly giving up that power when he realized it posed danger (that he understood) to people#to feeling genuine remorse for doing that even tho he needed it explained to him why they were so upset#and making every apparent effort to learn that with humility and offer whatever wisdom he could in return#to... this.#like why tf didn't anybody say hey man are you doing alright after being suicidal?#hey man the spell you did was wrong but that doesn't mean you can't do magic anymore why don't we meet up sometimes and study together#or better yet he could have mcfuckin joined the coven god damn#like they went from witch being a relatively gender neutral combo of innate talent and learned skill in early seasons#to now we're supposed to forget the boy willow and amy did spells with in hs + the fact that giles himself was in an all male coven#and even believe that only Special Girls like willow and tara can do any significant amount of real magic at all#why on earth is willow the biggest witch of ever and started out floating pencils and then having a whole plotline#about learning to use her power ethically and control herself and practice temperance and etc#AND anya gets to be a good guy even though she has to be taught about ethics and consent and compassion and all that too#but jonathan's thing is being soul crushingly lonely and having no self esteem but being incredibly sweet once given the time of day#and is instead relegated to two bit loser villain?#why because he's the Actually Uncool type of unpopular instead of the Too Smart And Nice To Be Popular type of unpopular?#makes me sick he literally just needs a friend. just one genuine friend who cares about him personally. that's all.#and it's not like they're doing a ''this is what happens to vulnerable kids when no one cares about them!'' thing which would be different#no they're just like lol he's unpopular like our protags but he's also short with a nasally voice! which means he's bad!#once again i swearrrrr i'm not doing armchair psych on a creator based on the content of their work#please i swearrrrrrrrrrrr i'm not doing that i prommy i know it doesn't work that wayyy i knowwwww#don't worry about ittt i'm so totally definitely not doing that at allllll#anyway

Thinking about. That one post about art. And how it's never good enough. Since you're the one that made it. And how. It might relate to how I view myself?
#Sel talks#Like. Do I like the idea of a masculine body because I think it will make me less me?#I keep thinking about a line from “in stars and time” talking about. How maybe they changed because it was easier than learning to love#Himself as he was.#Keep thinking about something my therapist said last session. About how he would hope there's more restriction around accessing trans#Health-care than there is about getting a medical Marijuana card#And even if it comes from a place of good intent; is still a harmful idea?#I keep forgetting how much importance cis people put on transitioning. And it's just. Not? For me?#My body is just another form of expression for me to form and play with. And I feel like it might be hard to try and get someone who's#Not thought a lot about gender to understand.#I don't really want to lable it as “transitioning” either. My isat brainrot is wanting me to call it “Changing”; bit I'm not sure if that's#Quite accurate either. Like. We don't have a word for playing with different styles of clothes? Why do I need one for messing w other types#Of presentation?#Sigh...#I'm soooo tempted to just go on t and not do anything else. No name change. No sex change. And not tell anyone.#Why do I need to take into consideration how much my decision weighs on other people?#I feel like I've gotten too many reminders that “tomorrow's not promised” or “How we spend our days is how we spend our lives”#“Don't live wondering” or whatever that old lesbian slogan was. “We're all going to die so who cares if it's a waste”? Some will wood song#I'm listening to. I just.#Why am I waiting for the perfect opertunity to transition? Or change or whatever.#I've always considered my want to masculinise as me taking “be the change you want to see” either too far or too literally#I want to see men in dresses!! And if no one else around here is going to do it I guess that falls on me!#Why must I follow everyone else's path to t?? I want to make my own!#Grrr barkbark#I feel so underequiped to change the world; why must I do it?? Can't it just change for me??

One of the things that really drew me in when I first watched the animated X-Men show (around 2020-21) was the fact that none of th relationships they had, romantic or otherwise, looked like "traditional" relationships. The thing I really liked about Gambit and Rogue specifically was that they needed to find other ways to explore what intimacy meant for them.
Adding in Magneto to that dynamic adds in an interesting angle for Rogue. It's more possible for her to have that "normal"-looking relationship with Magneto - but at the end of the day, is that what she really wants?
idk I'm coming into the X-Men very late and I haven't read a lot of the comics. I've just seen the two big animated shows, a couple of the movies, and read the stuff with Exodus and Sinister so my grasp of these characters might not be as extensive as someone else's I just...I can relate to Rogue in that way. Because any relationship I have with someone isnt going to look or be "normal" and there is a part of me that wishes it could just because god would that make life so much simpler for me.
#anyway i like the dynamic between rogue/magneto and rogue/gambit#so as you can imagine i avoid the rogue amd gambit tags like the plague and block generously in the magneto one lol#and maybe if my relationships aligned a little better with what's 'traditional' I wouldn't mind my mom#assuming i'm going to get married at some point as much#she doesn't even care what gender they are she just assumes marriage is an end goal for me lol#it's not! my end goal is a shared housing complex w my friends where all our needs are met#and we can take turns babysitting when the parents need a break#hey if you're someone who feels very strongly about these ships don't come at me#go somewhere else#I'd like to keep it to one anon hate per every five years thank you#07:42#x-men#magneto#x-men rogue#x-men gambit

I just realized I don't want gender neutral bathrooms and changing rooms just for gender reasons. I don't even want them just for practicality reasons, or just for economic reasons.
I want gender neutral hygiene spaces because, in my experience*, women who are bursting to get out of a sports bra and/or pee are wont to say unkind things and excuse it as "between us girls", and men do not wash properly if they think the bro code protects them.
#gender equality#equal rights#diversity#trans rights are human rights#chronic pain#chronic illness#*a shocking number of venues think having one bathroom per gender operational in an entire massive building is good enough#even if all the elevators are broken#this includes my own employer#and the one before that#on the upside#I've checked in five european countries#very very few people continue making a fuss about you being in the wrong bathroom if you say “I need to PEEEEEE” and keep walking#we're all human#we all get the urgency of the moment#including that one bathroom attendant in Amsterdam Main Station#thank you for not making me pee myself in public sir#yes I noticed the men's stalls were also all occupied#I've learned to work around such things on days my mobility is limited but thank you for your concern#that being said#transphobes have a lot of stuff they're weird about#them insisting we should strive to limit our options to piss-scented cave or grotto walls literally smeared with blood is just extra yikes#I don't care what silly fairy tales the cishets have dreamt up about you#you are in public and what you're doing is nasty#wipe your ass#think before you speak#meanwhile every unisex bathroom I've ever been to has been a haven of cleanliness and peace#every unisex changing room has been an oasis of pleasant conversation with a 70% reduction in noxious deodorant clouds#gender was invented by big bathroom to sell more bathrooms#and it made bathrooms worse for everyone

Whenever we have a boil water advisory here (twice in the past 6 months, both for the same facility, which is probably not a great sign for their internal systems) someone has to go and make a snarky comment about how people shouldn't complain about it because some indigenous communities are under boil water advisories and have been for a while and so forth.
And like. I don't disagree that it's important to continue to care about indigenous and other rural communities having access to safe drinking water.
And obviously their plight is worse than me going a couple of days with a boil water advisory. Though I will note that the hospital here is also under the boil water advisory and that does have real consequences for people that they are allowed to complain about.
But also overall I do feel like scolding people not to complain about some inconvenience they're experiencing because other people have it worse is not really a great way to go about doing activism for those other people who have it worse.
#like don't get me wrong I care about this issue too#but I don't think indigenous communities access to safe drinking water hangs on the balance of me -#choosing whether or not to complain about the fact that we have a boil water advisory because our water treatment plant blew a fuse#when coming back online from a planned power outage that they were warned about in advance#6 months after doing something similar in the summer#anyway I'm complaining here because I don't want to do it on Facebook where the people are#I don't think I'd mind if it was paired with some sort of practical thing you're supposed to do to help but#all of the comments really are just don't complain because other people have it worse#I am talking#I am Just Some Guy (gender-neutral)

*grabbing young queer people by the shoulders* listen to me. radical feminism is inherently transphobic. you cannot rehabilitate it or reclaim it or make it trans inclusive, I don't care what the people on twitter who claim to be authorities on queerness say. the foundation of radical feminism is nothing but bio and gender essentialism and biphobia and aphobia and anti-kink rhetoric and intersexism and yes, misogyny. it does not offer a future, not for bi people, aroace people, sex workers, not for kinksters, or intersex people, cis women, or trans people regardless of gender and you should care about those people. it will never result in queer liberation because it is an ideology of exclusion and hatred. you gain nothing by buying into the idea that half the population is evil by birth or by transition. you gain nothing by acting like women are perpetual victims who can't think for themselves and are tainted by their association with men. being a man or being attracted to them is not a sin. if we truly want to stand a chance of dismantling the patriarchy we actually NEED men on our side especially marginalized men. they are our allies.
the problem with terfs is not just transphobia, it never was, the radical feminism is also so unbelievably harmful. you cannot save it and it will not save you, stop drawing lines between queer people and join hands with them instead. remove people who are actually harmful, not innocent people who happen to have the wrong sexuality or gender or job. we get there together or we don't get there at all. we need each other now more than ever. do not listen to those who seek to divide us even if they are queer. we all deserve so much better than the hell radical feminism pretends is a liberated future.
I do not blame anyone who fell prey to this rhetoric, I know it feels good to have a common enemy and lash out at those you think are siding with them however they do it, but men, especially marginalized men, are not your enemies. and it's never too late to realize that and change for the better.

Idk there's just something good-different about the culture with rare pairs (tbh with fandom and "shipping" in general, it's so toxic now instead of accepting) when they're actually rare. I'd rather a super niche sub group in a fandom that has less than 10, 100, 1000 works and one whole discord server than whatever the hell is going on on Tumblr here with jegulus as an example. That shit used to be a rare pair, especially considering we know little about James and even less about sirius' younger brother. and now y'all are making cutesie little social media AUs and rewriting every single marauders era character to be nothing like they were and erasing Lily from existence to make them all self inserts or OCs and it's just an entirely different energy than fanworks and discourse even 10 years ago for that fandom.
Idk it's something about the energy around it... Like it's full of arrogance and like this idea that because of the bravery of those who came before and fought for the normalization of fandom you can just say and do whatever and people aren't allowed to criticize you without it being homophobic and ageist or sexist or whatever else . You can just have shitty takes and shitty personalities. You can be entitled and annoying while also being disabled or gay. But your inability to understand nuance and complexity with anything is sort of your whole problem so I wouldnt expect y'all to get it
#listen its about the arrogance and entitlement i see everywhere#it's about not actually caring about the characters but using them as OCs with names because we don't know anything about them#its about not understanding moral ambiguity or grey characters or anti heroes or anything not morally righteous#its about having lgbt be the standard ships but yet coming up with entirely new ways to be inadvertently homophobic#its about girl power while turning around and cementing gender roles all over again#its about how yall will just take a piece of media and mash two characters together even when they genuinely have no chemistry because Gay#its about how yall harass actors and musicians and writers and everyone nonstop because not only are you entitled#but you need constant gratification??#its about how you're simultaneously so Confident but yet so easily swayed#its about how yall are not just hyper fixating but youre fucking delusional sometimes forgetting reality and its scary#im glad for the most part that we can all just block and go about our day on here but the way yall act in youtube comments? other platforms?#yall just say shit so confidently. no one has any concept of privacy or humility or anything. its just you Have to like/accept it or else

#they are too outgoing it sometimes scares me ngl#like as an e.asian NEET fanartist (now oc himejoshi) the music and media I consume that shaped my personality is different#which is okay if we all celebrate and understand our differences#but to define gayness as#the sort of unbaggaged flippant flamboyance#is like okay . wtvs but let's just say queerness is like . being queer#instead of associating a certain lifestyle and personality to it#ppl keep thinking of me as an abc or whatever I'm not. literally lives in e.asia I just came to america for uni#I learnt English thru flipping physical dictionaries reading Percy Jackson in primary school#also I hate that white queers see their queerness as the uppermost label of their identity#and uses queer or not/queer phobic or not to decide if other people should live or die#p@lest one hates queers so i don't care about them!! like do you hear what you are saying#p@lestine#like who you like what your gender is is the least of all concerns when facing literally genocide

What's going on right now in the Republic of Georgia / Sakartvelo? A new legislation just passed that official bans - human rights essentially, gay-marriage, gender-firming care and surgery, any 'promotion' of queer identity. Soon after this legislation passed, trans model Kesaria Abramidze was murdered as a direct consequence of this.
Why is this super extra bad? Besides the several many lives at stake, the safety of queer families and the lethality of hate crimes, Georgia's wish to enter the EU is falling to a complete simmer due to this, soon to be extinguished completely. Here is an article about the international reaction to this legislation:
What can you do to help? The biggest thing we currently rely on is international push back especially from the EU members and the possible overturn of this in the upcoming election. It does not help that this law is implemented due to greedy fucks and Russian puppets in Georgia who benefit from this. source:
You might hear many refer to this as 'Russian law' which is due to the fact that Georgia, under this puppet-leadership mimics Russian laws like the 'Foreign Agents Law' that was put into work only a few months prior the law assumes 'only receiving foreign funds makes an organization a foreign agent.' and I don't think I have to explain how horrendous that is.
We also rely on our president to veto the legislation before it goes into 'full effect' (though the consequences and effect have already begun) but even with this the political party which instated this legislation argue to over-ride her veto in parliament. source:
The most important thing right now is vocal pushback, and public support of the queer community. with what happened to Kesaria (may she rest in peace) a lot of trans people are fearing for their lives, and queer families no longer can remain in their own country if they want to continue to be themselves in any way.
Spread love, a lot of it like as much as you can offer to queer Georgians everywhere.
