How I would have loved for things to go for 6x18 :

- That the first emergency on the freeway involved Kameron and Connor instead of the girl and his mom's bestfriend. That the person trapped in the ambulance with Chimney and Hen was Kameron (Connor being in the helicopter or safe in the portion of the freeway that didn't collapsed).

- That the truck that did the collapse was a bus full of children going to a basket-ball game with the boy who was in the earthquake in season 2 as one of their coach.

- That Bobby ended falling on top or near the bus and not slidding down. That the earthquake kid was the one to help Bobby who is injured. Following Bobby's instructions to help everyone because it's chaos and they're trapped under the bridge. While waiting for rescue they talk about the fact that Bobby saved earthquake kid when he was younger so now it's his turn to help him.

- That the slidding down was Eddie, falling all the way and getting trapped inside the container or a car.

- That Buck knows Eddie is alive but don't know where he is, has no idea where is Bobby. He goes to help Hen, then check on Kameron and Chim. Chim is still impaled so Buck gets Kameron out first. We have a moment between Hen and Chim, where Hen try to help Chim but she can't because she's concussed and Buck tells her to go, that he will go get Chim.

- In the mean time, Athena is on scene and helping people. Searching for survivors. She finds Eddie trapped and goes towards him, trying to reach for him.

- While Hen is safe, the vehicles under the ambulance start to fold and fall, Chim end up dangling down and Buck go help him.

- Eddie ends up even more trapped than before while Athena had to step back to not end trapped to.

- Bobby, the earthquake kid and all the kids are still trapped too, grasping for air after this second mini-collapse.

- Once Buck got Chim to the paramedics, Hen beside him, Athena join them to tell them that Eddie is now further out of reach. He's still on the radio, but still no signs of Bobby and the bus.

- Hen starts to puke and can't stand so she tells Buck to be the interim Captain. He turns around and find Ravi and some firefighters waiting for his instructions. He dispatch them while Maddie is sending more help.

- Athena stays with Hen, helping with the injured and coordinating with Maddie.

- At some point, they find where is the bus and Bobby, Buck being able to talk with him. While they dig to get them all out, it's provoking some damages to where is Eddie. If he continues with the digging he will save Bobby and the kids, but might kill Eddie in the process. He needs to find a way.

- Eddie tells him to help the kids, of course. Eddie tells him to take good care of Christopher. Buck tells him that he will not abandon him, nor Bobby and the kids.

- Now able to talk with everyone, on radio for Athena, Eddie, Chim (not willing to leave the scene), Hen, Maddie and on person with Bobby and Ravi, Buck find a way to help everyone.

- First, he's on scene with Bobby when he finally get to him. Athena arrives and both of them tell Buck to go help Eddie, that they're fine now.

- Eddie's radio is not working anymore, he's starting to loose hope. It takes a little more time, but Buck finally finds him.

- 1. for Buddie truthers, that's where they understand their feelings for each other, or at least one of them if we want some angst, with tears and Buck saying that he'll never abandon Eddie, ever.

2. for the non-buddie truthers, they have a beautiful emotional moment where we see their friendship/partnership at their best.

- Chim and Hen refusing to leave the scene without all the 118, they end up all together, bruised, injured and alive on the scene, looking at each other, relieved.

Of course they all end up at the hospital. Buck going to see Kameron who gave birth, meeting the baby. And then going from rooms to rooms, having a lot of emotional moments between him and all the 118. Then some couples/families moments at the hospital or their home. Buck ending up on the couch with Eddie and Christopher (buddie or not).

It's a first try, might need some changes or more details but it's the first version that came into my mind.

it's extremely critical that you see the photo of the perp walk for luigi mangione as being propaganda. i've seen so many people wave it off and instead fawn over his looks. and trust me, i know it ended up being kind of pathetic and weird - but please don't brush it off as a "modelling opportunity" for him. it's a fucking terrifying message the police are sending.

i want to make a few comparisons here, in case you're not from the US or familiar with why the perp walk thing is something to pay attention to. just to set the groundwork for why this is a purposeful, unusual, and cruel act by the nyc police - for why this is not a common occurrence and for why that matters.

the prosecution alleges the show of force is due to the charge of "terrorism." for comparison, in june 2015, tsarnaev was found guilty for the boston marathon bombing, which killed 3 people and injured hundreds. his actions are considered to be an act of domestic terrorism. i have spent the last hour looking through google for pictures of similar to mangione's perp walk - and so far, i have found zero. i also just do not personally remember a moment like that, despite living in boston at the time.

they allege that luigi is a stone-cold killer who carried out a longterm plan, making him particularly dangerous. again for comparison: in nyc, recently cory martin was found guilty of the killing of brandy odom. the murder was planned and premeditated to steal insurance money. and yet no staged perp walk. why didn't her life matter enough for a "show of force"?

but mangione gets paraded by a veritable army of police officers as if he is a rabid animal. for a single citizen who allegedly killed one other single citizen, the "largest perp walk ever" occurs.

so what is the "strong message" that the mayor and the police were trying to send here? the mayor speaks as if mangione is already convicted of terrorism. there is a very thin number of people who feel threatened by the CEO's death. none of us felt like mangione needs to be under massive armed guard.

the message is that you shouldn't resist. they are trying to "make an example" of him - that if you behave badly and kill a single rich person, you'll be treated as if you killed hundreds of people. you will be treated worse than a man who was found guilty of terrorism. you will be considered guilty without trial. the message is that the rich are a protected class, and you cannot touch them without massive punishment. they are trying to prevent a revolution by showing dominance and force against you.

the message is that the police are a puppet of the wealthy and that the law is not equally applied across class disparity. it is "some are more equal than others." it is "one life is more precious than another."

the show of force wasn't for luigi. it was for us. it was a warning. they are trying to remind us who is really in control.

we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.

I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.

I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.

I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.

I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.

the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

wheelchair users deserve a minimum of three wheelchairs to meet different needs. like, bare minimum of indoor chair, outdoor chair, and off road chair. chairs that meet different needs for transport, activity, positioning needs, energy levels, etc.

there is not "one chair" that can meet every need. wheelchair users deserve to have multiple chairs that meet specific needs, no matter how complex their seating/positioning needs. we deserve to at least have a backup if our chair breaks that is just as suited to our needs.

I think depictions of Anya being cruel to Curly or drawing out his suffering are artful and chilling but completely miss the point of the story and her character.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve to have that "I told you so" moment with him but not in something callous or cold. Even if that is how it happened, she'd immediately feel guilty cause at that point she's not tormenting her tormenter or even the person truly at fault. She's doing something cathartic, similar to how Jimmy likely hits Curly to release rage he can't against the rest of the crew. She'd see herself as no different when she'd come back from the moment and see Curly cowering at her. She wants someone to take responsibility but how does being cruel to the defenseless help? Why would she want the power Jimmy has over her over Curly?

The idea of her extending someone else's pain is just so against the struggles she already faces and how she can't even bring herself to cause someone pain even to help them. Her very desire is to release herself from her own suffering and I doubt she'd even fine some sort of guilty release in being cruel to another.

ngl, i think the most facinating part of Billford, not as a ship (because there’s a general understanding that it was really toxic and they were terrible for each other) (i get that that part of why it’s so fun to explore for so many- not the point), but just in general, is that Bill was ABSOLUTELY as obsessed with Ford as Ford was with Bill. it’s just… so interesting to recontextualize their dynamic as mutually destructive and obsessive instead of Bill just manipulating Ford. Like, yes there was definitely manipulation, but the dynamic jsut has so many more layers when the obsession is mutual.

They’re both egotistical and believe that they deserve more than what the world gave them, and they are terrible for each other and it’s kinda funny and all sorts of facinating to study

in isolation I think it's fine as a writing move for sasha and melanie to misattribute people weird to them at their Spooky Jobs as being because of misogyny, that is a reasonable conclusion for those characters to make when they are unaware of the Spooky Reasons that people don't want them involved, but alas it leads to this weird thing I see sometimes where fans get boiling mad at these characters and start saying "this stupid bitch thinks she's experiencing discrimination in the workplace when akshually she's being iced out for completely logical reasons due to her lack of skills, something she might realize if she weren't so self-centered with such a massive victim complex." like guys. you don't actually need to say this.

veilguard spoilers regarding a josie romance. but can we talk about the letter josie sends to a romanced inquisitor because. i’m sorry. fucking losing my mind at the fact that the inquisitor and josephine are close enough friends with the guy the inquisitor duels in her romance to be invited to meet his third child. implying they’ve been invited to the other two. at a baby shower and getting introduced as the one who dueled the baby’s father because he was trying to steal your girl. antivan romances insane.

of course i must believe that there was a big scene caused (once again) by a montilyet and ortranto that ends with lord ortranto making a speech where the publicly declares his love for yvette in front of all of antiva city to see and hear. so there’s no backing out from this one. in my mind there’s a rehash of the big “BECAUSE I LOVE HER!” (ortranto, desperate but genuine), “you do?” (completely aghast josie who has somehow missed the fact her sister has been giggling even more than usual), plus an “OF COURSE HE DOES!” (a thrilled yvette) that reminds josie so fondly of her own love story that she's immediately relaxed (and suddenly accepting) about this whole thing <3

Then Dean comes into the motel room and John immediately enacts a plan to use Dean as vampire bait.
