Day 3
Pairing: Seo Woobin x fem!oc
Genre: Horror, established relationship
Summary: Rina and her friends decided to play the ouija, what could go wrong?
Warning: Death, cursing, bruises, drowning, accidents
Notes: I’ve actually never played it so I’m basing it on basically everything from movies I’ve seen, lmao.
Rina was with her boyfriend, Woobin, and her group of friends at Minhee’s house.
The couple was hugging on one end of the coach on the living room. While the others where scrolling through their phones or talking amongst them. All of them extremely bored.
“I’m sooo bored.” Seongmin whined.
“Me too.” Hyeongjun spoke. “Don’t you have any cool games or something?”
“I have Monopoly or Uno.” Minhee responded.
It was never a good idea to play any of those with them, it always ended up in petty fights.
“Hmm, anything else?” Allen asked.
“Uh! How about Spin the bottle or Never have I ever?” Jungmo proposed.
“What are you, a middle schooler?” Wonjin teased him, which made the older hit him on the arm.
“Maybe something that won’t destroy our friendship.” Serim joked.
“Hmm, I think my parents have a ouija board on the basement.”
“I’m not sure about that, it’s dangerous. You know?” Rina spoke in an uneasy tone.
“Nothing’s gonna happen, Rin. Don’t be silly.” Taeyoung said.
“If you don’t want to play you don’t have to, love.” Woobin looked at her.
“No, no. I don’t want to be a buzzkill. I was just saying.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, don’t worry, Bin.” He nodded and kiss her cheek, making her smile.
“Okay, all those in favor of playing?”
Everyone raised their hand, some more enthusiastically than others.
“Then I’ll go get it.” The blonde said, walking downstairs.
It didn’t take him a lot of time to return, holding a medium sized board.
He placed it on the wooden table that was right in front of the coach. And indicated everyone to sit in a circle, surrounding it.
“According to the internet, you have to put two fingers on the planchette and ask if someone’s there.” Serim explained.
They all did as he said, not thinking that it would actually work.
Spoiler alert, it did.
“I bet Taeyoung moved it.” Jungmo spoke, clearly not impressed.
“I didn’t! Ask another question and see for yourself.” He defended himself.
“Okay, then. What is your name?”
It took a second for the planchette to move, spelling out “Crowley”.
“Seriously, who moved it?” Woobin asked rolling his eyes.
“No one did!” The remaining exclaimed.
As they continued to ask the spirit questions, they soon found out that it was all real.
“This has been suuuper fun but I’m expected to be home soon.” Seongmin spoke nervously.
“Don’t tell me you’re scared, Seongminie.” Wonjin said in a teasing tone.
“Like you aren’t! Don’t pretend like you aren’t a scaredy cat.”
“Pff no.”
It was a well known fact that Seongmin, Wonjin and Hyeongjun were the ones that got scared the most and the easiest.
“Yeah, sure.”
“Stop fighting, you two.” Serim scolded them, rolling his eyes.
“I’m getting hungry, how about we eat and then play video games?” Rina asked, wanting to stop playing.
“I like the idea, honey.”
The rest nodded and removed their fingers, making a huge mistake.
Everyone knew or almost everyone that you have to say goodbye to the spirit before taking your fingers off the planchette.
Nobody thought of that and went to order food, leaving the ouija unattended.
•
Their hangout ended at approximately 11 pm, then everyone parted ways.
“Thanks for everything, Min!”
“Have a good night.”
The pair walked towards their car and drove to their shared apartment.
Rina was on the drivers seat and Woobin on the passenger’s, being the passenger princess he is.
They were halfway there, when they passed a very isolated street. They were waiting for the traffic light to turn green when they saw a white figure in front of them.
“Hmm, baby? Do you see that too?” The brown haired asked in panic.
“What, Bin?”
“That white figure that resembles a man in a white suit.”
“Ohhh that, yeah.” She processed his words for a minute. “Please tell me that isn’t a spirit.”
“I think it is.”
“Could it be Crowley?” She asked more stressed. “Do you remember if we said our goodbyes?”
“I-I think we did, or not? I can’t remember.”
“Oh my god, this is so bad.” She put her hands on her face. “We have to warn the others once we’re home.”
“Yeah, okay. Let’s hurry then.”
They were able to get there without other interruptions.
They called everyone but only Allen and Hyeongjun answered, they were okay but felt uneasy. And the next days were worse for everyone.
Seongmin had scratches all over his body, Serim fell and broke his left arm, Taeyoung fell from a three story building and was in a coma, Hyeongjun almost drown on the tub, Minhee almost chocked while eating and Allen lost his voice.
Shockingly, Rina and Woobin were okay. Apart from feeling like they were being watched every minute of the day and even night.
Until that unfortunate night when Woobin felt like he couldn’t breath. He felt like someone was choking him, like there where hands on his neck.
“Honey? Where are you?” Rina was returning from the store when she didn’t hear anything. Which was odd since the boy always played music.
She felt anxious, so she walked to their shared bedroom. In there, she saw Woobin’s figure lying in the bed, not moving at all.
The girl began crying and panicking, she dialed 112 and came closer to him, holding him.
Thinking that if they have had done something as simple as saying goodbye, all of these tragedies wouldn’t have happened.

*Y/n's POV*
"I'll grab the board you grab the candles and flashlights and meet back at the coffee table" Demi nodded as we went our own ways in our apartment to gather what we needed.
She lit the candles while I took the Ouija board out of the box and set it on the coffee table
We started up, our other roommate watching from the couch.
I decided to fuck with Demi and move the planchette which made her glance up at me.
"You did that" She accused and I shook my head.
"No I didn't, you did that"
"How the fuck did I do that? It shoved my hands towards me and they're now in an uncomfortable angle" Demi glared at me and I tried not to crack a smile.
"It wasn't me" I mumbled and she sighed but continued on.
"Well you're not suppose to ask things like, how they died and shit" I reminded as Demi questioned us what to ask.
"So.. wanna do that?"
"Do what?"
"Ask how they died"
"Fuck no, we ain’t doing that" I shrieked since the planchette did move once without me doing it.
"Why not.. maybe he or she died in some like peaceful way" Demi tried to reason and I glared at her.
"I am not getting a demon in our house-"
"-Who said it had to be a demon?"
"The ones who break the fucking rules"
"It could be a friendly ghost"
"Friendly ghost my ass, now are we just gonna ignore that this shit moved on its fucking own without us doing shit?" I grumbled, eyeing the planchette that was laying on an 'A' for some random fucking reason.
To say I was scared was an understatement.
Then again for all I know, Demi could have been fucking with me like I was with her, but neither of us were looking at it..
"Alright what should we ask?" Demi questioned, looking between me and our other roommate.
"Their name?"
"No that's stupid-"
"How is their name stupid? What the fuck"
As Demi and I continued to bickered we heard a creak.
"Ah hell no! What the fuck was that?!" Demi turned to see if our roommate was still there, which he was.
"You heard that right? No bullshit?" I asked him and he nodded, looking around.
"It might just be the apartment? It's an older building, very well could be" He pointed out and I rolled my eyes turning back to the board.
"Let's just ask it, him? Her? It? It's name" I settled and Demi rolled her eyes but put her fingers back on the planchette.
"Sprits, possibility the IT clown" I joked and Demi shot me daggers and I just sent a smile her way. "What's your name?"
Demi and I sat there for a bit, looking around our darkened apartment thinking we saw things but figured it was just our eyes playing games on us.
"Girls? What's that?" Our roommate asked making us pause.
"What's what?" Demi asked him.
This was weird, he seemed creeped out, and he's one of those big tough guys so that freaked me out even more.
"Did you not hear that? It was like that creek we heard early"
I watched him look around and after a minute we brushed it off, thinking maybe it was a neighbor. Demi argued about how it was late, but we moved on.
"It never did tell us it's name" Our roommate reminded and I rolled my eyes.
"This bitch be playing" I grumbled and Demi's eyes widened as she sat in front of me.
"What?" I questioned and she just kept her eyes wide.
"I swear something or someone was standing behind you" Her voice shook a little which scared me more then I'd like to admit.
"No fucking bullshit Y/N I saw it too, it was like a dark shadow, darker then this room. Y'know when you're like walking in the alleyway behind us at night like coming home from the pub? That kinda shadow but without the yellow street lights" he tried to explain and I felt myself getting creeped out more by each word leaving his mouth.
"You guys are just bullshitting me, quit trying to scare me. It's not working" I grumbled turning back towards the board.
"Y/N, I don't think playing with this board is a good idea anymore" Demi spoke softly and I rolled my eyes.
"Quit being a pussy, c'mon. Let's try and get this fucker to spell it's name again" I happily chirped making our roommate look at me weirdly.
Demi was hesitant but went along with it, placing her fingers back down on the planchette piece.
"Alright, gonna ask you again. Tell me your name now. If you're going to intrude my home, could at least wipe ya nasty ass feet and tell me your name" I smirked feeling cocky and confident.
That didn't last long.
I thought I was seeing things because my whole hand was numb and I watched this planchette move letter by letter on the board, Demi's shrieking whispers sounding like a faint whisper in the room.
"Josiah" I repeated after reading the letters.
"Y/N no, this isn't a good idea. What were we thinking? I don't want to be associated with this anymore" Demi panicked but I felt oddly calm, wanting to explore more.
So I moved onto the next question.
"How old are you Josiah?" I wondered allowed keeping my fingertips on the planchette when a light flickered.
"What the fucking hell was that? Our lights are off, what the hell" Our roommate spoke up with a weird look on his face.
"I don't know, let's see if that was Josiah?"
"Josiah? Did you play with our lighting?" I asked in a calm tone hoping our roommate didn't scare away the poor guy.
The second the planchette started moving, I could see Demi's hand shaking even though the area around the planchette was ice cold, and my hand felt numb.
Her hand was shaking so bad I knew she wasn't moving it.
It landed on 'Yes' and for some reason I wasn't bothered at all by this event.
"Josiah? How old are you?"
Nothing moved but we kept hearing things like tapping sounds on the walls around us creeping Demi out badly.
"Y/N this was a bad idea, this hasn't ever happened before. I told you we should have stopped last time. I knew something bad would happen if we kept messing with this shit"
"How can a ghost hurt us? If it's even that" Our roommate scoffed and I raised an eyebrow.
"Come put your hand by mine. You don't have to touch anything just rest your hand next to mine" I egged on and somehow he agreed after some bickering and hesitation he finally rested his hand next to mine and pulled it away quickly.
"Holy shit it is cold, what the hell" He cursed and I giggled.
"How the fuck are you giggling right now? What the hell is wrong with you?"
"A lot" I grinned up at the slightly older male who shook his head.
"I really think we should put this away" Demi commented again, and to be honest; I was getting slightly annoyed but this repeated statement.
I went to reply, but the board did it for me.
I looked down to see it on "no" and for some reason that shook me up a bit.
"Why the fuck not" I growled getting slightly pissed at this thing.
It started moving quickly, like Demi or I was racing the board with it making my eyes widen, Demi's as well.
Demi mouthed "What the fuck" to me and I just looked down, watching it move at an unhuman pace.
"Did that bitch just spell "Stop cursing" Our roommate questioned making me nod with a slight laugh.
"I do whatever the fuck I want, thank you. You ain't my momma with a wooden spoon" I smirked and right after I said that, I knew I had fucked up.
"Y/N? What was that?" Demi whispered over to me and before I could respond, the bathroom door across the room slammed shut making Demi and I scream.
"HELL NO!" Demi yelled and all of a sudden she was in my lap, griping me like I was life or death.
"Babe, it's okay. It can't hurt you. It just wants to make your fear it"
"Well it fucking succeed ten fucking minutes ago Y/N. The door slam was a little extra"
"Hey Josiah? Did your momma allow you to go in slamming doors? You're having bad manners" I scolded and we heard another slam in our house making Demi scream in my hear; almost making me deaf with how high pitched it was.
"SLAM ANOTHER THING I DARE YOU" I yelled and Demi hid her face in the crook of my neck while our roommate told me to stop challenging whatever it was.
"No Y/N really, stop"
"I thought you didn't believe in this bullshit?"
"I don't- but I just watched our bathroom door slam shut with no one in or around it"
"Baby get off of me, this things pissing me off. Go sit next to *Roommate Name* please" I patted her back and she backed away from me and I gave her a small peck and watched her go sit next to him.
I got up to explore the house with my phone's flashlight to see what that slam was.
I explored our bedrooms, not wanting to go near that bathroom yet.
Everything looked like how we left it earlier so I moved onto the kitchen. I didn't even need to enter the kitchen to see what it was.
All the cupboards were open and drawers were pulled out.
"Okay what the fuck" I spoke allowed making them holler "What's wrong" and "What is it"
I love how they didn't come to see what it was.
I know this isn't Demi's doing.
She may be a mess in our house, but she didn't leave EVERY cupboard and drawer open.
I called for my roommate and girlfriend to come here and the second the kitchen came into view, their jaws dropped.
"What the hell?"
"I love how it told us to stop cursing, yet here we are" Demi sniggered making our roommate laugh.
"I guess we start just closing them? I don't know.." He mumbled walking into the kitchen were even I haven't stepped into yet.
I watched him start closing things and with my own eyes I watched a drawer he literally just closed; open right in front of my eyes.
"*Roommates Name* that literally just opened, you just closed that. I watched it. What the fuck"
We were all just discussing what had happened when all our hearts dropped to our gut.
The door behind us slammed, making us scream and yell, the lights started flickering and everything we just closed had slammed open.
"FUCK" Demi screamed, clutching onto me.
"Alright! Everyone go pack some shit in a bag! We're fucking leaving" Our roommate demanded and we listened. We all scrambled to do so meeting at the doorway.
We were just about to leave when Demi stopped us.
"Guys? What's what?"
"Demi don't worry about it, lets just go!" I tried to pull her away but she held her ground.
"No really; what is that?"
"What is what?" I sighed and Demi grabbed her phone, turning on the flashlight.
She shined her light, and written on the wall in a dripping black liquid was,
I told you to stop cursing.

It had been several years now since Ryou had dueled, which his ranking had reflected as time slipped by. Although it had been an even longer time since he had considered himself a professional duelist back in England, he found his attention being drawn back to the game lately.
This of course concerned the spirit of the ring, who was now separate from his host. Fully resurrected through some ridiculous miracle Pharaoh Atem had been granted which by unfortunate association affected himself as well. And so the nightmare of his existence continued. Of course it did.
And now Ryou was interested in Duel Monsters again, eyeing an upcoming tournament after having been seriously considering registering for the past few days since Kaiba’s latest commercial announced his new tournament.
Bakura-- he’d recovered his own missing memories such as his original name yet opted to continue using his host’s surname instead; after all, why not steal it when he was well known for theft? He’d already taken everything else from this boy over the years-- had never wanted to be involved in another duel after all that had happened in Egypt and in Japan, and he was rightfully aggravated that Ryou wanted to.
“You almost died last time!” he snapped. Violet eyes narrowed, and Bakura asked, “What makes you think something WOULDN’T go WRONG?”
Ryou suppressed a smile. This anger at the prospect of his involvement in a card game… evidenced Bakura cared for him, and this was entirely satisfying. He craved any suggestion that his man could love him. He answered gently, “Nisut Atemu will be there. There haven’t been any more shadow games, but… if something were to happen, I trust him to take care of it.” Ryou looked back to his computer screen, finished the form, and submitted for the tournament. “I’m going. I miss playing.” he remarked then glanced back to Bakura in time to catch the pained jealousy in his gaze. He hated that Ryou was willing to leave his life in Atem’s hands if needed.
Ryou mused, “I didn’t even get to enjoy Battle City. And I don’t remember um, what was it? What was the other one called? Magic Kingdom? I think it was on an island… Or a lake… There was water. Maybe.”
“Duelist Kingdom.” Bakura mumbled, fresh guilt surging through him for all he’d done to this boy.
Ryou asked curiously, “Did I even start that duel? I’m fairly certain it was with Yugi. Or was it all you? I’ve lived in fragmented dreams for so long. Perhaps I did start that duel before you actively possessed me, I can’t quite recall.”
“I don’t fucking know.” Bakura answered lowly. He didn’t care. He simply wanted that chaos to stay in the past. Why did Ryou need to bring it back into their lives? Their situation had improved so well over the past few months since his and Atem’s return from the Duat… all things considered. There was unfortunately Ryou’s withdrawal from his friends in favor of staying with the thief king.
Ah, that must be it then. Ryou wanted to duel in an attempt to reconnect with Yugi, Jounouchi, Honda, and Anzu. Why, Bakura couldn’t fathom, obnoxious as they all were but Yugi. Yugi he could understand why Ryou favored. They were quite similar, although Ryou had always been jealous of him.
Although the active possession had not been entirely constant, Bakura had still been aware of Ryou’s interactions at all times, even when the level of focus varied depending on his energy levels and moods. He was perfectly aware of all the feelings that haunted Ryou. The fear he had felt for his friends. The loss and guilt he had experienced when friends from junior high in England had lost their Monster World shadow games. It of course had only gotten worse after that once Bakura had crossed paths with Atem’s host. Ah, Ryou had found such camaraderie in Yugi! He didn’t think he was insane when trying to talk about his experiences with the possession and the shadow games!
But then the sadness became heavier when he understood how deep and beautiful Yugi and Atem’s bond was. Atem loved him… while Ryou was stuck with a demonic entity who would manipulate him in any way that pleased him and furthered his opportunities for vengeance. It wasn’t fair to have this profound destiny… meant to be the one to host this ancient spirit… only for that spirit to be cruel and reckless.
“I really like the occult deck we used.” Ryou told him, crossing the room to open a card binder. “I think I’ll change out some of the spells and update it for compatibility with phantom synchro summoning.”
“Synchro what?” Bakura’s anger had mostly subsided. He didn’t entirely want to keep Ryou from his friends… He shouldn’t want to at all as he strived toward being better for him, but there persisted a disdain toward all of the others, even if Ryou did owe Atem his life.
“It’s a way of synchro summoning from the graveyard instead of the extra deck.” Ryou explained, slipping cards out of the pages and setting them aside. His phone illuminated with a notification. “Oh dear, I’m running late!” he exclaimed after a glance to the time. “Would you please make me some tea?”
Bakura sighed but nonetheless abandoned the bed. “What kind?”
“Any at all, do surprise me!” Ryou smiled, wrapping him in a loving hug before he went to prepare for his work day.
Ryou’s tea collection was immense. Bakura randomly selected a black tea blend after putting the water on. As he waited on it to boil, he crossed his arms over a table and lowered his head, dreading that wretched card game. Not only was the danger apparent to him… but he also would have to subject himself toward Yugi and Company’s stares. If it were only himself, he wouldn’t care what anyone felt or said about him, but Ryou would be hurt by the judgment too. He already had been. They would both be better off in several ways if he kept Ryou from them. And yet… Ryou had already been through so much. He deserved friends.
“There is… something you should know about Ryou I’m not certain you’re aware of.” Atem had told Bakura once he had the chance to approach him alone. A foolish mistake, Atem must have been aware, but the thief king was as exhausted as he was.
“WHAT?” Bakura replied, forcing himself not to ask how dare you speak to me?
Atem stood his ground, determined to deliver the information that would change everything Bakura had ever felt about his host. “He managed to strike a deal… with Zorc… behind your back. That… If you were to fail… He would take your place. He would be bound to the Millennium Ring, and you would be released.”
Bakura’s newly beating heart raced from the revelation. “What? Why would he do that? Why would he do that?! Something that ridiculous? He…” He knew what that curse entailed… forever. So why… Why would he possibly… For ME?
But Atem didn’t have an answer. Not a reasonable one, at least. Who would love a man who had so thoroughly devastated their life and would never give a damn?
Ryou kept the scar on his arm covered in public, but at home it was a constant reminder to Bakura of the suffering he had inflicted, just as his hand too bore the remnants of the time he impaled Ryou’s hand during a shadow game. Bakura’s eyes fell to the scarred hand when Ryou came to retrieve his tea from him.
“Thank you! You’re the best.” Ryou smiled.
He really wasn’t though. Silently he drank his own tea as he watched Ryou add cream to his, until Bakura broke the silence. “You haven’t told me why you risked everything. For… me. If Atem hadn’t…”
“Oh. Oh, he told you?” Ryou clipped his hair up and pulled his shoes on. “It’s what I was meant to do. I’m the only one who could wield the Ring, right? Anyone else who made the attempt died immediately? It was my destiny to help you. A parallel to Yugi helping Atem.”
“That’s no reason to help someone who would have murdered you, all of your friends, and meant to destroy the world as well. It was your choice. Ultimately your foolish bargain didn’t influence anything, but it was your choice. It was your idea. Why?”
“I love you.”
Ryou’s response further irritated him. He repeated himself, “WHY?”
“Loving you is my choice too.” Ryou lowered himself onto Bakura’s lap, and the proximity seemed to calm him.
“You’re really weird.” he told Ryou.
“I know.” Ryou embraced him and sighed in delight as Bakura lifted his hands to his shoulder blades, pressing him closer.
For the duration of the time between Zorc’s destruction and Bakura’s resurrection, Ryou had been alone for the first in a very long time. As long as he could remember, the spirit’s presence had remained an inescapable part of his mind. He had spent years wishing for freedom only to find the isolation was entirely maddening. The emptiness was worse than anything Bakura could have done to him.
Ryou considered himself a skilled necromancer, but no amount of incense or prayers or tears or blood offerings helped him to reach the spirit in those endless, awful nights spent begging for him. He was all Ryou had known; this made being without him the greatest misery… and the one he could not discuss with Yugi, lest he be shamed.
But Marik… Marik he could tell. He never even minded Ryou’s 3 a.m. calls spent sobbing into a glass of wine and confessing his despair.
“I want him back! I can’t live like this!” he’d wept, wondering if this same emptiness was felt by anyone who hadn’t spent their life in a state of possession.
Marik feared for him. “I’ll be there in ten minutes. Okay?” He ended the call, and as he left his apartment, he prayed Ryou wouldn’t think to join Bakura in death instead.
He found Ryou sitting on the floor under his altar table, tarot cards strewn over a blood stained ouija board. A rug was scorched from when a candle had fallen over. Incense smoke curled through the air, and wet eyes looked his way. Marik knelt to help Ryou up and over onto his bed where he lay with him, stroking white hair as Ryou held onto him.
“I’m a worthless spirit worker.” Ryou muttered into Marik’s shoulder.
“No. No, that isn’t it. That isn’t it at all.” Marik’s suspicion of why none of his efforts succeeded in summoning him was far worse.
Thoughts returning to the present, Ryou lifted his face away from Bakura’s neck to grace him with a gentle smile as he said, “I’m grateful you’re okay and you’re here.” He knew Bakura didn’t want to be.
Bakura’s chest tightened with… emotion. He knew Ryou wanted to hear something nice in return… but his feelings were complicated. He’d been so angry with Atem to be back, and although the situation was better as he made a life for himself with Ryou… He was weary. He had been trapped in this world longer than anyone except Atem could imagine, which certainly was a reason Ryou’s little scheme regarding Zorc had touched his heart when nothing else could. There was no way he could understand, and yet… he was willing to suffer… for him.
His strangeness and his strength shouldn’t be overlooked because of his softness, but Ryou was pure. Selfless. He deserved more than… this. Better than… me.
Ryou brushed his lips delicately across the Egyptian’s. “I might have been the landlord, but you are my home.”
There were no words for how this all made Bakura feel. There was great sorrow interwoven with shame and discomfort as well as with desire and awe.
Ryou brought a hand to Bakura’s face, looking over the scarring under his eye. He stroked his thumb over it then pressed his next kiss to it. “I like this. Does it hurt?” he inquired.
“No.” Netjer, this boy was odd.
“Marik’s back hurts often. So I wondered.” Ryou said before he kissed his lips again, more boldly. “I told him he should go to a doctor, but he’s quite afraid of them. He says weed helps. Did you ever smoke in Egypt? I--”
Bakura silenced him with a firm, soul consuming kiss that ignited Ryou’s heart and brought tears to his eyes. The hand at Bakura’s cheek slipped into his hair, and Ryou opened his mouth to him, clinging closer as his tears fell onto Bakura’s beautiful skin.
Bakura pressed his tongue past his teeth, eyes closing. Everything about this was divine… and he couldn’t help but to notice how right it felt. Everything that had ever happened to him had served the purpose to allow him this moment. In an instant everything had changed. He smiled against Ryou’s lips. The serenity was a relief he had craved yet had been without for so long he had forgotten what peace could possibly feel like.
“It wasn’t by accident you’re here. Or by whatever technicality of the millennium items you attribute it to through Nisut Atem.” Marik had told him in their first encounter following the resurrection. “The Netjeru have always known your purpose. Whether or not you place any faith in Them... You are loved. And you are a reflection of the divine. They have a plan for you.”
He’d never felt so insulted or infuriated, and he hadn’t spoken to Marik since. Love? If any god loved him, why was he ever in his wretched predicament in the first place? If any god loved him, why had his family been slaughtered? How did any of it evidence Netjer cared at all when suffering thrived throughout the world for thousands of years?
But now he had this precious boy in his arms. As Ryou eagerly worked his lips against his, Bakura’s tongue stroked over his hungrily.
Bakura reached for Ryou’s phone on the table.
“What are you doing?”
“Texting you in sick to work.”
Ryou giggled at this but took his phone back. “No, I need to go.” Another kiss and he rose from his lap, dropping his phone into his backpack. “Senebty.”
The sunshine this lately morose boy radiated surprised the library staff, but no one questioned it as Ryou went to load onto a cart the books which needed to be shelved. Glancing to the schedule on his way to put the books away, he was pleased to find he would be working the next circulation desk shift with Akali.
He loved the library, but he was working on plans to open a combination occult and tea shop. Magic and tea were his favorite things!
Book shelving was relaxing. He didn’t know why most staff hated this. It was easy and fun. It only became tedious when too-full shelves needed rearranging to make space.
As he alphabetized, he thought of the discovery last week Bakura had been defensive about. Marik, frustrated with Bakura’s avoidance, had went about texting him using a custom keyboard he had invented for typing in hieroglyphs. It was faster for Marik than transcribing Egyptian into a Latin alphabet, and it just made sense this way since Bakura did not know any Arabic, and Marik hadn’t been in the mood for Japanese. Japanese took more effort. (Atem had been delighted to install the hieroglyphic keyboard.)
The problem was the vast majority of Egyptians had been illiterate, and this included the thief king. He had no issues with English or Japanese due to living through Ryou for many years, but it was still annoying that anyone expected him to be able to write or read hieroglyphic text.
“You could download Duo Lingo and start learning Arabic with me and Atem.” Ryou had suggested.
“Marik’s Japanese is fine!” Bakura had shouted. “If I wanted to communicate with him, Japanese would be fine! Why is it my fault if that bitch doesn’t feel like texting in Japanese? Fuck him!” Why the hell did he need Arabic? He would be perfectly happy to never set foot in the fucking desert again!
By the time he finished shelving, then worked in the donation room sorting books, it was time to return to the circulation desk and greet Akali.
“Hello!” he exclaimed cheerily. He waved to her and stepped to one of the computers, bringing up the tournament page on the Kaiba Corporation website. “I signed up for this, and… I thought you might like to join me?” he asked hopefully. If none of his other friends would talk to him… it would be much better if someone was there who would. Someone unaware of his drama. “I haven’t played an official game in a while, but I’ve been practicing on Duel Links… I used to be quite good in junior high, maybe I can get back into it...”

• "I AM THE DEMON WHO HAUNTS YOUR HOUSE IN THE NIGHT! AND I COMMAND THE TO NOT CHECK BEHIND THE TOASTER!" I’m thinking this is something Roman would say, but it’d be really cool if he *wasn’t* the one behind the toaster, he was in the cabinet or something, and trying to protect whoever actually is behind the toaster.
(I'm sorry, I don't know how this happened but it turned into Prinxiety(probably platonic))
TRIGGER WARNING: FEAR, MENTIONED ABANDONMENT
It had only been about three years ago when Roman, his twin Remus, and their little brother Patton had been abandoned behind some dumpsters. None of the young borrowers had known why, but they did know that they were going to have to survive without their parents. Luckily the dumpsters had been right outside of a college dorm apartment system, meaning plenty of food and supplies.
Roman had been quick to take charge when their parents left, as he and Remus took care of their baby brother and prepared a home in the walls. When they had been left there the twins had been 17 years old and their brother 10, now they were the respective ages of 20 and 13.
It's true that life was never easy for a borrower, especially one as young as Patton. Though that had never been more apparent than it did right now.
It had all started with a harmless question.
"Roman." Patton got his brother's attention. "When can I go borrowing?" He had asked.
"I've told you before Pat, when you're old enough." As Roman had done many times before, he dismissed Patton's question. Unfortunately for our protagonists, Patton had an ace up his sleeve.
"Ro. You know he is old enough now, right?" It was Remus. Then as Roman opened his mouth to argue, Remus cut him off. "We started learning at his age too, Ro."
"Yeah! I wanna help with getting supplies!" Patton pleaded with his brother. Roman hesitated, but seeing the look on Patton's face caused him to finally cave.
"Alright." He sighed in defeat, and both of his brothers began to celebrate. "But," he cut them off. "you're only learning, we won't be going anywhere near where a human is, and Remus and I both have to supervise."
"Okay!" Patton jumped into his brother's arms and hugged him. "Thank you thank you thank you!" Roman chuckled at his brothers antics, but couldn't help the dark feeling that something terrible was going to happen.
It was their very first lesson with Patton. Roman had been studying this human for a while and knew that they would be in classes for hours today, which was perfect for keeping his baby bro safe. Yet again, he couldn't fight off the pit in his stomach. Maybe they should do this another day? He wondered, but upon seeing the joy on Pat's face as Remus showed him how to use a hook, he couldn't say no to them. He shook his negative thoughts away as he went to help the two.
If only he'd listened to himself. Then maybe nothing would have happened.
As they were showing Patton how to hide from humans in case they cane in unexpectedly, theough an advanced game of hide and seek. That's when it happened.
Roman was in a cabinet when he heard the sound of a lock clicking, a handle turning, and the slow creaking of door hinges. His face paled as he knew what, or rather, who, was coming home. He didn't have much time to think as he peeked out from the cabinet enough to see what was happening. Remus was kn top of the fridge where he wouldn't be seen, and Patton... it took him longer to spot Patton but once he did his stomach dropped as he saw the young borrower cowering behind the toaster.
"Oh no..." Roman muttered to himself. He had no time to get Pat put of there, and he couldn't say anything in case the human could hear. So he stayed and watched, hoping the human would just stay in their room, on their phone, like they always did.
Roman played close attention as the ground shook with tremors and muffled pounds, as the human walked around. He shivered as they seemed to get closer... were they getting closer? He got his answer when the human walked around the corner and straight into the kitchen.
Roman watched as they approached the fridge and had to swallow down a scream as they opened it. They pulled out butter. Roman glanced at Patton with worry, but, they could be making anything, there was a multitude of uses for butter! There was no way that their luck would be so bad that human would make-
Roman jumped back when the human's face suddenly appeared right in front of him. Only, the human opened the cabinet next to his and pulled out... some... bread...
Oh no. No no no no NO!
The human simply yawned and turned towards the toaster. It was unplugged and all they had to do was plug it in from behind. Patton was behind the toaster. Roman had to think fast. What could stop a human? What was something he could do to stop them?
As the human began to reach behind the toaster, Roman screamed out, without thinking, "I AM THE DEMON WHO HAUNTS YOUR HOUSE IN THE NIGHT! AND I COMMAND THE TO NOT CHECK BEHIND THE TOASTER!!!" At his shout the human jumped back and Roman slapped a hand over his own mouth.
What has done?
●●●
When Virgil was sent home sick, he was not expecting to hear someone shout in his dorm about demons. Yet here he was, in his kitchen, seemingly alone, trying to calm his beating heart.
After he calmed down, he finally processed the words. The toaster? "What do you want with my toaster?" He wondered aloud.
At the humans words, Roman blanched. What would a demon want with a toaster? "Well, uhm, it's a nice toaster." His mind screamed what are you doing as he awkwardly spoke to a human.
Now it was Virgil's turn to be at a loss for words. What? "It's... just a toaster?" Virgil was now a little more intrested in his toaster as he glared at it, as if it were about to show him some portal to hell or something.
"But-" Roman chose his wordswisely, having noticed the humans new found interest in the toaster. "But it's a dangerous toaster!" He thought up a lie quick, he was a 'demon' after all, it shouldn't be too hard to scare then away. "Yes! It's probably best if you leave! So that I may handle it from here on forth!" His voice gained more vigor as he spoke.
"If you're a demon, wouldn't you want me to get hurt?" At the humans words Roman was at a loss.
"I mean-well-have you ever met a demon before Mr. I-know-everything-about-demons!?" Ro countered.
"No... but I've seen videos about them!" Vurgik tried to defend himself. He was not about to let his dorm get infested with demons.
"And that makes you an expert now!? Oh, honey, you don't even know the first thing about what we can do." Roman actually found it... quite enjoyable to mess with this human.
"Maybe. But at least I don't have some weird obsession with a toaster," Virgil hesitated but did not loose his energy as he spoke, "The Walking Bread!" The nickname almost got a chuckle out of Roman if he weren't in a life or death situation trying to save his brothers.
"What's that supposed to mean, Burned Vampire?" Roman tried for his own insult, witch did get a smile out of the human.
"I dunno, you tell me, Prince of Carbs." Virgil retorted. Roman huffed in annoyance.
"If you haven't forgotten, I am a demon. And if you don't want to get cursed into Febuary thirtyth, the. I suggest that you leave before things get ugly, Emo Nightmare." Roman git down to the point finally.
"Fine." Virgil shrugged. "But I'm bringing an Ouija board next time!" And with that, the human left to finally go rest his sick stomach.
Roman sagged with releif as the human finally disappeared from view. Finally, he got out his hook and climbed down to Patton as quick as possible, not even reaching the bottom yet before the youngest brother hugged him tight with tears in his eyes. Soon Remus joined them in the hug.
"Can-can we go home?" Patton whimpered out between hiccups as he cried.
"Of course Patton." He kissed his brother's forehead, glad that he was safe. The he turned to his twin. "Let's go home."
With that, they left through the walls, none of them planning on returning... except that Roman couldn't shake his conversation with the human from his mind.

You were freezing. The tips of your fingers were almost numb, nearly shaking in fear. You couldn’t figure out exactly why you were scared, but you knew you were somewhere bad. It was pitch black and not a person in sight. You can hear your own breath, footsteps and gulps.
“Where am I? How did I get here?” You asked yourself, trying to look for any source of light.
Before you knew it, your body was trembling. The freezing cold was no longer and instead the burning sensation of heat became apparent. Within a second, you felt your body go into flames; only there weren’t any. Burns so bad, so hot, you couldn’t control yourself from the bloody screams exiting your mouth.
“Somebody! Please help me! Please!” You yell out for help, only to get your echo in response.
You fall to your knees, hugging your burning body. Tears streaming down your face. How did you manage to get here? Was this possibly a nightmare? Sleep paralysis? Anything but reality.
“Give me permission,” you heard a faint whisper.
It was an unfamiliar voice. A voice that left your mind in a frenzy. It was smooth, practically mesmerizing. It was angelic.
“W-What?” You thought to yourself, only screams still leaving your body, in utter agony.
“If you want it to stop, give me permission. Give me your permission. I can stop it,” the whisper spoke, but very slowly. “Would you like me to stop it? Only I can save you. I want to help you,” it continued.
“YES!” You managed to scream.
You want it to stop. You want to wake up. You want to be able to feel your body again. This couldn’t be real, it was too much of a fantasy. It was almost out of a really bad horror movie. If this was a dream, it was possibly the worst dream you have ever had.
“Your wish is my command, princess,” it speaks, much more confident than before. You can almost hear the smirk behind it.
Then you woke up.
Nearly bolting out of your bed, you rapidly bring your hands up to your face. You were alive, you were finally okay. Your chest was uncontrollably rising from the fear you just experienced.
After taking a few minutes to catch your breath, you turn your head to your clock.
“Shit, I’m late!” You hop out your bed, getting ready for work, your nightmare suddenly slipping out of your memory.
Being at work was a drag. It wasn’t the best job, but it paid the bills. An office job is what it was, a very long and boring office job. A mutual friend of yours offered you the secretary position, knowing you were in need of something.
“Wow, someone looks dead,” Jongdae hovers over your desk, handing over your daily coffee. “Couldn’t sleep?” He asked, pushing up his glasses.
“Barely. I keep having weird dreams. I think I’m stressing myself out too much,” you sigh, taking a sip of your coffee.
“No way, it’s because of your haunted apartment. Seriously it’s been four months since you’ve moved in and nothing but weird things have been happening to you,” he turns around, grabbing a nearby chair and sitting right next to you.
“Goodness Dae, when are you going to give it up with the whole ghost thing? They aren’t even real,” you roll your eyes.
“Ever since you settled in, weird stuff has been happening to you. How can you explain all of your random bruises? The headaches? The fact you’re always dizzy now. You lost all energy within the same four months,” he continues.
“I’m no doctor, but I’m sure anyone can tell you that’s called iron deficiency, my friend,” you sarcastically say. “Not to mention I’ve been working more hours and still trying to adjust from the move.”
“It’s sketchy is what it is,” he raises his brow.
“Whatever, I’m tired of this conversation. I have calls to make, so if you could excuse me before we both get in trouble, thank youuu,” you say, pushing his chair as he rolls away to the following desk.
Haunted, pft, you laugh at the mere thought. Ghosts and ghouls just aren’t a thing, pure fiction is what it was in your mind. Besides, no records show of anyone ever dying in your apartment. There’s no evidence at all.
So why has it been eating you up all day.
Lunch came around and you couldn’t help but head over to Jongdae’s cubicle. This time accompanied him was your coworker, Sehun.
“Hey guys,” you side smile, giving them a little wave.
“Hey, I was just telling Sehun about your nightmares and guess what?!” He jumps in excitement.
Rolling your eyes, you sigh, “what?”
“Ghosts,” Sehun snaps his fingers at you.
“Even he agrees!” Jongdae exclaims, relieved someone finally sees eye to eye with him.
“Okay okay, so what if it is a ghost? How the hell do I get rid of it?” You fold your arms.
The men look at each other, clueless. They probably didn’t think they would get this far in convincing you of the paranormal, but Sehun knew what to say, as so he thought.
“Talk to it, tell it to leave you alone,” he says.
“Are you crazy?! You want me to talk to a possible angry spirit and tell it to leave me alone? Yeah, no, I’m not ready to get dragged by my feet tonight,” you scoff.
He rolls his eyes, “well do you have any better ideas?”
“I’ve got one,” Jongdae chimes in. “There’s this game that people use to talk to spirits. Some type of board game, uh, ouija board, I believe. You see, you talk to the spirit and it spells out words on the board, but there’s rules to it. You need to follow by the rules accordingly or else bad things can happen, very bad things.”
“And you want me to go buy this scary board?” Raising your brows, eyeing him as if he’s the craziest man on earth.
“You can borrow mine. My cousins and I used it once as a party gag and nothing bad happened to us. It’s still in my car, I can go get it and leave it on your desk before you clock out. Like I said, if you follow the rules, you’ll be completely safe, I swear,” Your friend promises.
“You sure about this one? My idea seemed a lot less intense than that, geez,” Sehun gives a concerned look at Jongdae.
“Well, what else do you wanna do? We aren’t professionals at this,” Jongdae sighs, helpless.
“Fine, I’ll do it,” you say.
Their heads turn at you, gawking at your answer. You? Of all people? They couldn’t believe you were completely giving into their ideas, especially Jongdae.
Jongdae has been your best friend since your freshman year in college. You guys knew everything about each other and have irreplaceable memories. He knew your weaknesses, what made you tick and your turn offs. It’s a given, you’re a stubborn person. He always knew you as one. Never in his life would he expect you to agree to something so fast.
“You said as long as I follow the instructions I’ll be safe, correct? Unlike you fools, I follow by the book. If nothing happens then I was right and there’s no such thing as ghosts,” you comply.
“And if we’re right? If you do talk to this ghost?” Sehun twists the cap of his pen out of nervousness, leaning against your friends cubicle.
“Then I’ll kindly ask it to leave and let you guys know you were right. Fair enough?” Without letting them continue a word, you nod and turn your back, ready to walk away.
“Remember to have it by my desk before we leave,” is the last thing you say to them before you exit the floor.
Night comes and you’re all alone. You had finally left work and as promised, it was there. You were having second thoughts, as you looked up more about the board. Jongdae said it was harmless if you were responsible yet your research says else wise. It’s bad enough the car ride back home was eerie. It was hard trying to get rid of the knot in your stomach while the board sat right next to you, mocking you.
You’re desperate. You had enough of these occurrences. You had enough of the screams, the fear… the torture. Although you didn’t want to admit it, deep down you wanted to hear the voice you once heard.
It was so intoxicating, all day you tried your best to remember it. Playing it’s words over and over again in your head. You were certainly drawn to it and itched a thought about his intentions. Surely with a voice as sweet as his you would be safe, right?
“Just one night with him,” you told yourself.
One night to figure out what was going on in this apartment. One night to meet him, talk to him. What were these feelings? Your sudden need to be near him? You missed him more than ever. It’s as if he left a curse on you. If he had marked his spot on you.
Your fear grew into excitement, realizing it was just after midnight. You got comfortable in your place, setting up the candles and board in your room. You begged with each second that he would appear tonight. You want to see him. You want to touch him and confirm if he’s real.
The closer it gets to three am, the more you ache for him. Tingles on the tips of your fingers, they remind you of the burning sensation, only pleasurable.
When you were finally ready, you settle down the planchette, picking up the instructions.
RULE ONE: Do Not Play Alone.
Well great, here you are already breaking the first rule.
RULE TWO: Do Not Play During Devils Hour (Three AM).
Check. It was only a few minutes after midnight.
RULE THREE: Do Not Take Your Hands Off The Planchette Without Saying Goodbye First.
RULE FOUR: Be respectful
After going through more rules, you were a bit annoyed over how much time it took. You knew there were a few rules, but not this many. You predicted most of them, but the warning left you uneasy.
WARNING: Do NOT Accept A Demons Invitation. This Can Easily Cause A Possession. Demons Will Try To Convince You To Give Up Your Soul. If Met With A Demon, End The Game Immediately And Call Your Local Church.
Your throat suddenly went dry. Demonic possessions? That’s a thing?! You presumed those were only in the movies and books. The knot in your stomach makes a reappearance, causing your mind to fog up.
You don’t have a demon in your apartment. It’s just a silly ghost who’s trapped and somehow attached to you. It’s a friendly spirit who’s still mourning over their death. You kept telling yourself these things until the knot subsided. You knew you needed to get this over and done with.
Taking a deep breath you put your fingers on the planchette. You eyed the board closely, making sure nothing could interfere in the way.
“I invite the spirit who haunts me to communicate,” you start speaking out loud.
“You’ve been haunting me for quite some time now. I welcome you to come talk to me, are you here right now?” You ask, a shaky breath escaping your lips.
Everything was silent. Nothing was moving. No one was in sight.
Being frustrated you cleared your throat and asked again, “I said, are you here with me? Are you listening?”
Before a blink of an eye your fingers move the planchette to yes.
You couldn’t believe your eyes. Could it have been nerves? There must be a scientific explanation to this. Your body must be nervous. You’re only trying to feed yourself the answers you want.
Moving your hands back to the center of the board, you clear your throat. “Thank you for responding to me. I’m sure you know my name by now, could you spell out your name for me?” you ask.
It took a while but a few seconds later your hands were moving up to ‘yes’. This time the movements were slower, it was losing energy. It came back down to the middle and started slowly but surely spelling out its name.
You read along with it, “B-A-E-K…”
“Baek..?” you whisper to yourself.
“H-Y-U-N,” it spells.
“Baekhyun. Your name is Baekhyun? That’s a nice name for a spirit,” you anxiously chuckle, trying your best not to upset the paranormal force in your home.
“Why are you haunting me, Baekhyun? Did I upset you when I moved in?” You question.
This time it moves to no. You raise a brow in confusion but it continues to spell out a word. A word you were not expecting.
Lonely.
“You’re a lonely ghost? Oh, so my company brings you comfort,” you nod along to yourself, trying to make of the current situation.
“You see, Baekhyun, I don’t know if it’s because you’re sad or perhaps upset, but you’ve been causing me these nightmares. I’ve woken up with bruises and have seen visions so graphic, were these all you?” you bravely ask.
This time you didn’t get an answer. You waited a while and even asked again, but nothing. You decide to skip the question and continue with a different one.
“Baekhyun, how old are you?” you managed to choke out in fear.
As said in the rules, never ask a spirit for its age. It was another rule you decided to break. You wanted to break the tension and had forgotten what was forbidden versus what wasn’t.
You hoped for anything, a young man, even an old man. Anything but zero, for zero indicates a demon.
RULE SEVEN: Do Not Ask For The Spirits Age. If Said Spirit Gives You Information Of Their Age, Beware. If A Spirit Says They Are Zero Years Old, End The Game Immediately. Demons Are Unborn Creatures, Never Made With A Human Body, Therefore They Are Zero.
Frustrated you repeat yourself, “I’ll ask again, how old are you, Baekhyun?”
Suddenly your planchette landed where you prayed it wouldn’t.
Zero.
You gasped, accidentally pushing away the board and everything along with it.
“No! No!” You gather everything, frantically placing the planchette back on the board.
Tears were trickling down your face as you repeated and screamed, “Goodbye! Goodbye! Thank you and goodb–”
All your candles go out. Yelling in fear you make your way to your lamp, being able to give you the light you need.
You closed the portal, why is this happening?
“I said goodbye!” you yell, looking around, making sure you were safe.
“I thought you missed me?” The voice announces, finally making itself present again.
“I’m here to protect you. If you let me, I can guard you,” it says.
“Someone.. Please help me…” You weep.
The lightbulb in your room bursts, the darkness clouding your vision. You felt like you were in your nightmare all over again and you couldn’t take it.
“Just say the word and I’ll be there to protect you. Give me access, princess.”
“YES! YES! YES!” You screamed, hands covering your ears and your eyes shut tight from anything that could possibly be around you.
Within less than a second, your light goes back on. It flickers as if it never popped. Your home is silent, and the candles seem to be lit again, as if nothing ever happened.
You step back from the board, not wanting to touch it. You continued backwards, as far as you can, until you bumped into something– someone.
Turning around, you face a man who had suddenly appeared. You wanted to scream, you really did. You wanted to cry for help and run out your apartment without a doubt. However, looking at this man, embracing all his beauties, made you want to stay.
He was tall and slightly built. His hair was white and his skin was pale. His eyes were a warm shade of brown and his lips were plumped and pink. His cheeks were slightly flushed and he was dressed in a white button up, tucked into some black pants. His dress shoes completed the look, giving him an extra bit of height.
He was perfect.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long…” The man who belongs to the beautiful face, speaks. “For years I have guarded over you. For years I’ve watched you grow and become stronger. Your soul, it’s so pure, so beautiful. It’s all I’ve ever wanted,” his plushed lips pout.
“W-What are you? What do you want?” you ask under your breath, not even sure if he could hear you.
“I’m your angel. You’ve been hurt by a demon, haven’t you, beautiful? I’m Baekhyun, a guardian angel,” he smiles at you, his eyes sparkling.
Confused, you shake your head, “No, you told me you were a demon.”
“They’re trying to confuse you. Demons are known to lie as much as they can to try to take a humans soul. They knew I was looking after you and tried to use my name to manipulate you. It’s okay now, they shouldn’t be back anytime soon, I’ve got you,” he reassures.
He was charming yet sort of nerdy, innocent almost. He made you feel safe. You can't bring yourself to fully trust him though, but you knew you were falling for his mask.
“Why should I trust you? How do I know you aren’t lying to me?” You question the man in front of you.
“If an angel lies, they turn to dust. It is taught in heaven, if an angel goes against their word of god, they perish,” he licks his lips, bringing himself closer to you.
His mouth was slowly approaching your ear, You could feel his breath tickling your neck sending goosebumps all over your body. He was daringly close to you.
“And I’m still here, baby. Waiting for you… Wanting you…” he whispers, leaving you slightly gasping.
“Why me?” you mumble.
“You’re all I’ve ever wanted. Watching you for so long, I fell in love with you. You’re everything I’ve ever needed…” his mouth got closer and slowly aimed for your neck.
Softly, he kissed your neck. Placing sweet little kisses on all your weak spots. Something in you didn’t want to move. Something in you liked it, you wanted more.
His tongue lapped over your sensitive spot, a soft moan escaping your mouth.
“You sound so beautiful. I can’t believe you can finally see me. I just want to make you feel good,” he removes his lips from your neck and looks into your eyes.
His eyes twinkle. They’re soft and warm. The most calming shade of brown. He looks at you with passion, care and love.
“May I? May I have the honors and make you feel good tonight?” He asks, this time almost anxiously.
It could’ve been his eyes, it could’ve been his beauty, it could’ve been his pure talent at kissing, but you without a doubt caved in and agreed.
“Yes, please,” you beg.
He smiles, holding you closer to him. Your chests were pressed up against each other as he leaned down slowly, his lips meeting with yours.
You froze, still adjusting to the situation. Your tension starting to fade as his hands roamed your body. Your lips were moving perfectly together. His lips were soft and he tasted sweet like candy. His tongue slightly pokes at yours, wanting for more. You were stubborn, as always, but eventually gave in and gave him access.
He was such a great kisser.
He knew what he was doing and the effect it had on you. He continued until he needed more, bringing his knee in between your legs, earning a moan from you. The friction felt so euphoric.
Here you are, in the middle of your room, about to have sex with an angel. It was impossible to process, especially with how well he was making you feel. A wet patch forming at the center of your underwear.
“Baekhyun…” you moan, wishing for more.
“Is this what you want? You want me, don’t you?” He snickers.
“Y-Yes,” You lean your head back as he starts marking your neck again.
“Say it,” he demands.
It was quiet. Too shy and too occupied in the pleasure, you completely tune him out.
He moves his knee away, leaving you begging.
“I want you to say it,” he repeats.
“I want you, Baekhyun. Please, I want you to fuck me. I want you right now,” you plea.
His fingers trailing up against your thighs, teasing slowly. His slender fingers nearly poking the center of your pajama shorts.
“Where do you want me, baby? Be more detailed for me, will you love?” He focuses his eyes on yours, enjoying the view of you completely helpless.
“Baekhyun… Please.. I need you, I need you inside me now or else I’ll go crazy. Can you please just–” he interrupts you.
He makes out with you again, this time rough. He picks you up and throws you on the bed. He unbuttons his top, chuckling to himself. He had you right where he wanted you.
You were in the middle of taking off your shirt when he completely undressed his top half. Your eyes ate up every single detail of him. His body was beautiful, not a mark in sight. He was toned, strong and perfect. He really is a gift from god, practically a sculpture.
“Like what you see, huh?” He smirks, helping undress the rest of you.
“You’re perfect,” you say, staring at him in awe.
“You’re even more perfect,” he responds, leaving kisses from your legs, working his way up in between your thighs.
“So fucking good,” he mumbles, his breath hitting against your weak spot, sending chills down your spine.
He felt your legs press against his head, you were needy for more. You wanted him more than anything else. For so long you felt you were missing something in your life. You questioned for so long why these things were happening, but now grateful for your savior. Whenever you needed him, he was there. Now this was his turn to erase all those scars from your memories. He wanted to heal you and appreciate your body.
When his tongue lightly licked your wetness you couldn’t help but hiss. Your hands tangled in his perfect silky hair as a reflex.
His tongue continues, this time adding pressure to your sensitive bud. He made sure to keep his eyes on you while his tongue fucked you, he never wanted to forget the look on your face as he ate you out. He was aware of his power, and he tried his best to keep his eyes pure.
“Baekhyun!” You screamed, grinding yourself against his mouth.
His lips were completely soaked of your essence and it turned you on even more. His tongue was entering your body in ways no other person has done. It definitely couldn’t compare, especially once he brought his two slender fingers back up, pushing them inside you, as his mouth was still at it.
Your other hand was clawing at the bedsheets. His movements were faster, harder. He groaned against you, needing you more than anything else. He can tell you were close from how messy your panting was getting, jumbling up all your words.
“So needy for me, you love having my fingers inside you, fucking you, huh baby?” He edges you almost in full bliss.
“Fuck yes, you feel so good, Baek,” You scream, almost reaching your high, until he completely stopped.
You look up at him; you were a mess. Your eyes gaze with confusion and want. His smirk never leaves, only his hands traveling down to his pants and removing the rest of his clothes.
“You want me? Well you’re gonna get me,” Baekhyun grabs his hardened length, entering you without a warning.
You arch your back in response, curses escaping under your breath. He laughed while he watched you struggle to adjust to his size, it turned him on even more. His pace was slow, allowing you to get used to the friction.
“You’re so tight me for me baby, just how I like them,” He grunts, picking up speed as he fucks you deep into your bed.
You were too focused on the pleasure to even choke out a response. He was hitting all your sensitive spots and areas you haven’t explored yet. For a moment his hands stopped holding you down, quickly reaching over for his tossed shirt, and tying up your hands to your headboard.
“Is this okay?” He asks.
“Fucking amazing,” you grind against his dick, receiving a moan out of him.
You were restricted, wanting to touch him and feel every part of him. Not wanting to admit it, the new position felt amazing. It made you crave him more, wanting him to meet your highs together. Your hips snapped up and moved along with his thrusts.
“You’re all mine, I’m gonna use you so well,” he says, hands reaching to your neck, choking you at a reasonable point. It wasn’t too hard nor too soft, still managing to breathe, but boy, did it feel good.
Unable to speak, whines left your parted lips as you were near reaching your limit. He knew you were close as he felt you tightening up against his dick, causing him to almost reach his high as well.
“I know you want to cum,” Baekhyun pants, grinning while his length continues to pound in you. “Do it, cum all over my dick, baby. Show me how good I fuck a weak little human like you,” he grits through his teeth.
With those words and a couple of more thrusts, he leaves you in a state of euphoria. You chant his name as loud as possible, the heels of your feet digging deep into his lower back, bringing him closer inside of you. Struggling with your hands tied up, your back arches one last time and he uses this opportunity to reach his release, spewing his remains inside of you.
“Fuck!” He curses under his breath, positive his hold on your waist will leave bruises later.
The two of you lay there, catching your breath and enjoying each other's embrace. He remains inside of your wetness, trying to keep his mess deep in you.
Reaching up to meet eye to eye, he smiles, “you’re wonderful.”
A sincere smile appears on your exhausted face, “you made me feel wonderful.”
An innocent giggle left his mouth, “is it okay if we stay like this for the night? I promise to clean you up and attend to your wrists in this morning. I just really like being this close to you, I’ve never been this close to a human before.”
Your eyes widen in shock; was this the first time he had done this? Clearly he would’ve disappeared if he was lying. Would he get in trouble in heaven? Would you get in trouble? Is this considered a threat to the demons now that Baekhyun is with you?
“Will everything be okay though? Won’t you get in trouble for this?” You ask.
He shakes his head, “even if it means having to spend the rest of my being in hell, I’ll do anything to be one with you.”
A sadden smile comes across your face. Who knew a lonely game with an ouija board would end up in angel sex? You certainly weren’t ever a believer, but this changed so much for you. This was the feeling you’ve been yearning for.
Suddenly you let out a yawn, and your eyes become heavy. You could barely keep your eyes open, closing them slightly and humming and when you felt Baekhyun kissing your cheek. His mouth near your ears once again, he chuckles, only this time it wasn’t innocently.
“Rest your eyes, you’ve had a very long day,” his chuckles turn into evil laughs; “you honestly should’ve known better than to give yourself to a lying no good demon like me, princess.”
Everything started to hit you. The smirks, chuckles and pet names. It was all a lie. It was him. It was the same creature who’s been taunting you, making your life a living hell. The same creature who scared you, leaving you marked up on multiple occasions. The same creature who got his way into your mind and controlled everything.
Your body went into complete shock, trying with all your might to open your eyes, but they’re practically glued shut. Your arms were still restricted and no matter how much you moved, they wouldn’t let go. You tried kicking the demonic creature hovering over you, only to realize he was no longer there. He was gone.
Where the hell could he have possibly went?
“HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!” You cry out, hoping someone would hear and come to your rescue.
“It’s too late,” he whispers, “you’re all mine.”
With that, your body came to a full stop. You were one hundred percent frozen. Your entire body started growing in pain. Your mind was going frantic. You tried to scream some more, but was unable to.
He was taking over your body as his own.
The burning sensation became present, tears sliding down your cheek, still unable to move any part of you. It was pitch black once again and you were utterly hopeless. You managed to let this happen, you fell for his tricks. You fell for him, so you gave up and let him.
The pain all came to a stop, your mind entirely blank. You can talk again, you can finally pull yourself out of your restraint. A smirk grows on your face, however you don’t want to smirk. You have no control over your expressions. You wanna scream, frown, jump up and get some help.
You sit up straight, all knowledge of your identity completely vanished. You are no longer apparent as your new soul sits up and opens its new black eyes.
Baekhyun’s new eyes.

Good Omens Imagine - You Summon a Demon
Warnings: demon summoning, this is honestly just a crack fic, vulgar language, a moody demon Word Count: 2K Summary: Out of boredom, you decide to summon a demon, not believing that it would actually work. You end up summoning Crowley in your apartment. A very worried angel comes looking for him as well. That’s how you meet Crowley and Aziraphale. Author’s Note: This has been on my mind for a while now. I don’t actually know how to summon a demon so please excuse how I wrote it. It’s not meant to be taken seriously. Please enjoy <3
THIRD POV
It was a silly idea, truly. Y/N and her friend had been out at the nearest bar and after a few drinks, they ended up discussing paranormal stuff. Somehow the conversation morphed into the two of them planning on playing with the Ouija board Y/N had somewhere in her apartment, possibly hidden in her closet or underneath her bed to gather dust. In their tipsy minds, it sounded like a perfect plan.
As Y/N returned home alone, she remembered that. She decided to find the board and get it ready for tomorrow. But as she found it hiding underneath her bed, she got an idea.
What if she played alone? It’s not like anything would actually happen, but it could be fun nevertheless. Surely, she would laugh at herself about it afterwards. So that’s what she did. Y/N set up the board on the floor, lit up a few candles to set the mood. She turned off all the lights and covered the mirrors in her bedroom. In order to play, she quickly read the instructions. Just like that, she was ready to get started.
As much as she was convinced that it was fake, it still made her nervous. There was always that small chance that it would work, right?
“Okay, I’m calling in good spirits. No negative entities are welcome here,” Y/N started as the online instructions had instructed her. “If anyone’s actually there, I would like to play with you.” Gosh, that sounded so wrong, she thought.
She sat on the floor with her fingers on the pointer. After a few moments of silence later, nothing happened which relieved her. She sank her shoulders and smiled, feeling much more comfortable now that it hadn’t moved. “This is so stupid, it’s not like this board could actually summon a demon,” The woman laughed by herself, giving her words zero thoughts whatsoever.
If only she had known the power of her words.
As if on cue, something happened. The pointer began to shake underneath her fingers which startled her out of her skin. Y/N let out a scream as she got up from the floor, watching in horror as the Ouija board shook wildly. That was not supposed to happen! “Holy fuck, shit…fuck!” Y/N whimpered in horror. Her eyes were glued to the board. Once it began to levitate, she almost passed out.
Was she dreaming?
Or was she drunk? Y/N hadn’t had that much to drink either.
Her heart was pounding so hard from fear that she felt it all the way up in her throat. She wanted to run away, but her entire body was frozen in shock. Her fight or flight response seemed to betray her.
A bright light came seemingly out of nowhere. It was so bright in fact that Y/N had to close her teary eyes. A few moments later, the light seemed to vanish, and she heard that the board dropped back on the floor. Terrorized by what she saw, she still decided to look at the board. What she saw next was definitely not a Ouija board.
There was a man, a tall man in fact, standing right in front of her. He had ginger hair, an all-black outfit and round sunglasses. Although the lenses were dark, she noticed that he had yellow eyes. Yellow! The man, or whatever it was, seemed annoyed. “Aw fuck! Couldn’t this have happened a little later? I was just in the middle of something!” The stranger groaned in a…British accent?
“What the fuck are you?” Y/N cried in fear, wanting to keep a distance between her and the man.
“There’s no need to be so rude, damn,” the ginger man, creature, whatever replied to her. Shivers ran down Y/N’s spine. In her mind, she was convinced that she had just summoned death itself into her own bedroom. She wanted to scream and cry, to run as far away as she could, but she could only stand there as her world began to spin wildly. Her vision began to brighten until she saw white. A split second later, her body failed her as she lost consciousness.
The demon, Crowley, wanted to leave. But he had been summoned and now there was an unconscious woman on the floor inf front of him. As pissed off as he was, he decided to wake her up. Surely, the candles would burn down her house if he just left her like that. “Get up, will you?” Crowley sighed and squat down on the floor right next to her. He poked her body with his long fingers, noticing the details of her appearance. He wondered why on earth she had summoned a demon and why it just had to be him! Crowley had been at Aziraphale’s bookshop as he was summoned. Surely, the angel was worried as hell over his disappearance.
When his poking didn’t bring her back, Crowley cursed under his breath. He wanted to leave, truly, but he couldn’t. He had been summoned. He had to end this ritual she had started, and he couldn’t do that when she was in an entirely different world than him.
Y/N furrowed her eyebrows together as her headache grew worse, so bad in fact that it woke her up. Carefully, she rubbed her temples and moaned in pain. Did she really get such a terrible hangover over a couple drinks? She opened her eyes and noticed she was in bed, although she couldn’t remember ever getting in it. Then she heard two men talking. Quickly, she was fully awake, and she remembered what happened.
The man!
Y/N got out of bed and followed the voices. Although she was terrified, she was curious. She walked out of her bedroom and looked into her living room. There were two men there, talking until they noticed Y/N. One of them was the same man that appeared out of thin air. The other one looked much kinder. He had light locks of hair, big blue eyes and beige clothes. For a moment, it was perfectly quiet in her apartment. Little did Y/N know she had a demon and an angel in her living room. She was convinced at this point that this was a fever dream.
“Someone’s finally awake! Great. Now just end what you started so we can leave,” The ginger one broke the silence. He sounded angry which was indeed horrifying. Y/N didn’t know them or what they were capable of.
It made the other man sigh, “Crowley, can’t you see she’s terrified?”
What kind of a name was Crowley? Why was the other one so considerate? Nothing made sense to Y/N in that moment.
The same man continued, “Hello, I’m Aziraphale and this is my friend Crowley. I know you’re scared, but I promise that you’re just fine,” Aziraphale tried to ease her mind a little bit as Crowley rolled his eyes in the background and crossed his arms like a grumpy child.
“How did you…where did you come from?” Y/N managed to say something despite her worries.
“You summoned me, remember? Aziraphale just followed me,” Crowley snapped.
Aziraphale couldn’t just ignore it when Crowley vanished into thin air right in front of his nose. Of course, he followed the demon! A little curiosity went a long way. “This doesn’t usually happen. You see, in order to actually summon a demon…”
“A demon?!” Y/N breathed out in shock and her eyes widened. It sounded absurd, but it would explain what she saw.
“He’s not a bad demon! You know, he used to be an angel…” Aziraphale tried to speak, but he was cut off again.
“Aziraphale!” Crowley hissed, angry that the angel had to mention it to this stranger woman.
What the hell was going on? Had Y/N lost it? She was beginning to believe that.
“As I was trying to say,” Aziraphale raised his gentle voice ever so slightly, “summoning a demon requires a lot of spiritual power. You didn’t summon him for no reason. Now would you like to introduce yourself, dear?”
Something about Aziraphale was so calming. Yes, the situation was absolutely wild and unbelievable. Y/N was scared because there were two men in her home claiming to be demons. But this man had a presence which helped her relax. It was so overpowering, so magical. “I’m Y/N,” She said surprisingly calmly. The closer Aziraphale was, she more relaxed she became.
“Alright, Y/N. It’s nice to meet you. I’m sure we can get to the bottom of this little mishap and then we can all go on about our days,” Aziraphale smiled so cheerfully, as if this situation wasn’t terrifying at all.
Crowley sat on the arm of Y/N’s couch and he crossed his long legs, “Why did you even summon a demon if you’re so scared?”
Someone wasn’t happy to be summoned. Y/N almost felt sorry for ever touching that Ouija board. “I didn’t mean to! I just…well, I didn’t think it would work, okay?” She defended herself honestly. “Also, how am I supposed to believe you’re a demon...an angel, whatever. This is crazy!”
“Oh, you want proof?” Crowley smirked, as if she dared him to do something. He suddenly stood up straight again, getting ready to give her a little fright.
On second thoughts, she didn’t want proof. She was terrified enough and even the sheer possibility that they were speaking the truth was absurd. It would confirm to her, a human, that demons and angels existed. That kind of information would surely mess with her head. “No!” Y/N took it back.
“Oh, such a bummer!” Crowley muttered. He was already getting excited over the thought of scaring her by showing her his true form. It’s not like it mattered anymore. She had seen him appear out of thin air so what’s another supernatural experience more on top of that?
Aziraphale felt his stress levels rise as he stood between the two of them. He couldn’t believe they ended up in that situation. But somehow, he was convinced they were supposed to find Y/N. There was a very high energy radiating from her which almost told the angel that she could be useful. As risky as it was, he wanted to be friends with the mortal. Perhaps she could have something to do with the doomsday?
“Can you please just end this and then finish whatever you have to with Aziraphale? I’m tired of this,” Crowley began to get impatient.
“How do I ‘end this’?” Y/N wondered. She truly had no idea.
Crowley hung his head low as he tried to stay calm. Was she for real? “Did you read any instructions whatsoever before you decided to ruin my day?”
Aziraphale almost giggled at the situation. Although it was serious, it was a little bit amusing. But he managed to bite his lips together to stay quiet.
“I read something online,” She admitted. Y/N was oddly calm now. So far, they hadn’t made any indications that they would harm her. Besides, when she passed out, one of them had moved her to her bed. If they wanted to hurt her, surely, they would’ve done that already. So, she concluded that she didn’t have to be as terrified as she was.
“Okay then do whatever you read. I hate being trapped in here,” Crowley admitted. Wow. He couldn’t have been any harsher, now could he?
“Okay, I end this session. Whatever. Is that it?” Y/N mumbled a little awkwardly. Both Crowley and Aziraphale looked at her quietly. Nothing seemed to happen, at least nothing visible to her eyes. Did it work? Y/N didn’t even know what was supposed to happen!
That’s when Crowley cracked a smile, “See? That wasn’t so hard!” It was as if some magical bonds had let go of him and made him ten times less moody. Good for him, Y/N thought.
“Now, how about we discuss how you got him here in the first place?” Aziraphale suggested excitedly. He was naturally curious, so this was all fun and games for the angel. As long as he stayed, Aziraphale stayed. They had a conversation to finish and it didn’t matter if they did that at the bookshop or this Y/N’s apartment.

Sit Boy :Meetings
Han Sanghyuk/ Reader
fluff, general hijinks, no warnings. this is all set up.
First in a oneshot/ drabble series
After being given a guardian demon at birth instead of an angel, Y/N struggles to not feel cursed. One day, she is left with a new protector, and honestly. he has a habit of getting under her skin.
You were cursed. Your very existence was an insult. You felt that way for as long as you could remember, but especially after your long standing imaginary friend told you what he truly was… a guardian demon.
As silly as it may seem, all people had a guardian angel. You, however, due to some heavenly clerical error, had a demon instead. He was…. Honestly not all bad. Just pretty flippant. He didn't cause trouble, or torture or hurt you…. Or even try to make you give up your soul (not his business, souls, he insisted) just kept you out of the biggest dangers and told really stupid jokes. More than anything, he was like a really awkward dad who no one else could see. He DID help you prank some bullies with a ouija board once, that was pretty cool.
Kael'eth stood before you, his normal relaxed posture, shrugging. "Sorry little one. I'm getting reassigned. "
"How? Aren't you bound to me until I die?"
He patted your head gently, yellow glint in his eyes. "Well…. I was never supposed to be what I am, and I guess the Big Guy wouldn't overlook it anymore. I have a task now. But listen. I couldn't leave you without some protection. So I've brought a friend."
When you began to pout he put a finger on your forehead and grumbled. "Don't. Pout. I have a reputation."
"What we have is FINE. I'm already cursed enough I don't want anything else." You grumbled like a kid, even though you were well into adulthood. You plopped on your couch and threw your feet up, looking at him expectantly. "So?"
"A. Hellhound. He's… well. You'll see." When the poof and (quite common) sulfur smell filled your apartment sat a black dog. It was huge. So long that you estimated if it stood on rear legs it would double you in height. "Hyuk, what the home, dude. We talked about this."
Another poof, and the black dog was a tall man. He had sharp, deep red eyes and an incredibly straight brow, a wide nose and a very square jaw. His hair was pushed back, slicked tight on the sides and he sported a dark, well fitted suit.
He was…. Impressive to look at, you noticed immediately.
"Fine. Whatever. Bipedal is dumb though, just for the record. " he said to Kael'eth. "Watch over the girl. I got you. Piece of cake. Get out of here." He scrunched his nose up playfully and waved the other man away, you realized his very impressive and foreboding aura had evaporated and he seemed…. Kind of fun?
Kael’eth patted your head once more, and eyed Hyuk pointedly. “Take care of her. Do your job.” he looked back down at you and gave you an almost worried glance. “Don’t take any SHIT from this one okay? You spoil him and he will never listen.”
“Got it. Will I see you around?”
“We’ll see kiddo. Go raise some hell, eh?”
You laughed as he poofed out, leaving you alone with the very tall and almost imposing figure who was now towering over you, small smirk on his face. You stood, reaching out a hand to shake his in greeting. “So I’m Y/N.”
His eyes traveled up and down you for a moment, eyebrow cocked. “Yeah, you are. You have any video games?” He asked while flopping his large frame over your couch, sprawled out with limbs askew so there was no room for you.
“I... I mean. I don’t really have anything? Can’t you .. use your… poof...powers?” You put a hand on your hip, kind of unprepared for this entire situation, and for his attitude.
He gave you a big, disarming smile, reaching out for your hand from his spot. He snagged it, tugging you with impressive strength towards him. “But I can’t do that. I’m not a demon. I’m a hellhound. It’s different.” He pouted but mischief played in his eyes and you were for a moment- almost- distracted by the cuteness of it all. “I don’t..” Another tug, dragging you to your knees until your noses almost bumped. “Poof.” He said the word softly, making sure to pout his lips on the ‘f’ , hand engulfing yours. His eyes appeared a bit rounder, still the same devilish red, but more imploring.
You fought the confused cycle of irritation and attraction, pulling back just enough to regain your thoughts.
“You have a lot of nerve, but I’ll consider it.”
You were rewarded but the biggest smile you had ever seen in your life, it took up most of his face and it was… if you were being honest, quite endearing.
You stood and forced some space between yourself and the alarmingly attractive man sprawled out on your sofa.
“Hey, Y/N?” His voice was inquiring, so you met his eyes once more. “I think we are both going to have a lot of fun, here.”
You were not having fun. Hyuk had eaten half the contents of your refrigerator, and played games non stop. He wasn’t really underfoot, otherwise, but he had a knack for getting under your skin.
Right now, you were considering it, but had not decided if it would impact him at all in his current far too hyper state. He was, in fact, sitting at the edge of your bed bouncing, which at his considerable size, made you nearly fly off once or twice.
That alone, would not earn your ire, after decades of being tied to a demon, some level of patience was necessary. This however, was your only day off, and it was 6 am.
“Y/n. Y/n. COME ON. I need to get out of here. I am hungry, and my legs are restless.” He was whining, now, and flopped back, landing with his face beside yours and his far too adorable pout on his lips. Too cute for how irritated you were.
“Y/N pleeeaaase. I promise not to hide your socks anymore. Please?”
You pried your eyelids open just enough to see him more clearly. He was expectant, full of life, and once again, you decided firmly, that you must be cursed. Even as much as you wanted to, you could not hate the excitable hellhound when he pouted. Or smiled. Or generally when he wasn’t causing mischief. Even then, sometimes.
After throwing on your most comfortable sweats, you followed him to the car.
“Buckle up.” You insisted. His head rolled on his neck, turning to you with almost amusement.
“I can’t get hurt that easy, Y/N. I am made of more durable stuff.”
“That’s fine. And that durable stuff is going to be planted directly behind a seatbelt before we start moving, Sanghyuk, no negotiations.”
His upper lip curled in annoyance but he did as told.
Once you began your travels, he would softly sing to the radio, a sound you rather liked, and when you put down the window, you were only mildly surprised when he stuck half his head out of it.
“Get back in here, Hyuk.” Your tone was one that brook no argument, but when he turned to pout you relented. “Just… For now. When we go to the park you can do it for a while I guess.”
His sly smile indicated he knew what he was doing, but you had already given your word. You pulled into the drive through for some fast food so that you could help with his restless legs.
“So are you just going to… I don’t know. Go full dog and run?” You asked between bites of chicken, flipping on your blinker as you were preparing for the turn.
His fingertips drummed on the windowsill for a moment before he answered. “Yeah. Full dog.”
This time, the smile wasn’t in his voice. You wondered briefly why, but kept your eyes ahead for safety’s sake. Turns out, in the week you’d lived together, you had learned that hellhounds could bring bad luck so… somethings are just better not left to chance.
“Alright.”
“Hyuk what do you think?” You came out of your room in your date outfit, a simple black skirt and blue blouse, low black booties adorning your feet. You kept it simple, since it was a blind date.
You had now lived together for 2 months, and you were used to Hyuk’s enthusiastic behavior. This however, was not that. He looked you up and down, before turning back to some anime on the television. “It’s fine. You don’t need to get all dolled up anyway.” He was totally and completely non reactive. It was… abnormal to say the least.
You sat beside him, settling a hand onto the top of his thigh to draw his eyes back to you. It worked, but his face was dark, and his eyes flashed brighter for a moment. “I didn’t, it’s just coffee. I asked you because you usually have good insight.”
Sure, it was a half truth, but stroking his ego usually brought him around. He laced your fingers in his and opened his mouth to speak, when your doorbell rang, effectively silencing his thoughts.
You hopped up and gestured for him to make himself a dog, or scarce, or both. He glared, but he went into your bedroom and left the door cracked. You heard rather than saw his transformation. Glamour allowed his dog to look smaller than he actually was, while maintaining mass. So you had a doberman now that looked about average but weighed more than a grown man. When he nosed out of your room, you went to get the door.
After ushering in your date, you told him to have a seat while you grabbed your purse, but when you came back, he was at the door, looking quite pale. “I’ve just remembered this isn’t going to work out I-I’ve got to uh, water my aunts flowers. In the country. I won’t be back.” He stuttered and stumbled his way out of your home, and you knew the culprit wasn’t far. Hyuk sat with his ears back, mirroring his earlier bad mood.
“What did you do??”
“Nothing. I just. Suggested he find somewhere else to be.” Hyuk whined, turning back into the form you were more used to, now go get out of those. Get in those sweatpants and come cuddle and watch tv.”
You glared, pointing a finger up at him, and he matched your glare. “Why?”
“I saw what he wanted, and I didn’t like it.” He responded, looking away while clearing his throat.
“You’re not a demon, you can’t read thoughts.” You said. Throwing back his own reasons for never doing things that benefited you. When he looked back at you, his eyes looked intimidating for the first time since your first meeting. His face icy and hardened.
“I saw it in his eyes. That’s enough.” His jaw flexed as his lips pursed, and he used the moment you were taking to process his words to leave the room entirely. Going into the one across the hall his bed was in.
You weren’t sure why he was acting so territorial. Maybe he was really leaning into his roll as guardian?
You were unsure, but for the moment, it was best to let the subject rest.
Instead you went to the convenience store and purchased two pints of ice cream, and beconed him once you were in your normal tv watching clothes. He peeked out fo his room, muzzle first, before slinking out and into the space beside you. “No ice cream? You really must not be feeling well.”
After putting it away, he crawled almost entirely into your lap as you scratched his ears, hoping to calm whatever fears he was feeling. It seemed to work, and you were rewarded when his eyes drifted shut and his body relaxed.
Conversations could come soon, for now, he deserved it.

This week was a wild Samhaintide ride. I’ll post more about it in the read more
Here's yet another selection of stories from my witchy life I am ready to dump on you all so get ready lol:
Wednesday night was the party at the occult shop Treadwells where we met a new witch friend who joined us for the Samhain festivities. I have already made a post about it here but her name is Letitia and she is a beautiful sapphic Taurean witch who loves gardening and cooking (duh she's a Taurus) and all the goddesses she worships and bought an incredible pumpkin pie to the ritual.
Halloween
So the day begun with me making candles for the ritual. I bought a skull candle, a candle the shape of a jackolantern and then I made several candles which were three mini pumpkins hollowed and filled with black wax that’s pumpkin and bourbon scented, then four tea light spell candles with black wax and four tea light spell candles with a special wax my sag witchy friend bought for me from Edinburgh from a witchy shop. The wax melt was made with herbs and was called 'thinning the veil'. I’ll elaborate later. I also had to walk to the post office to pick up the ouija board. I had a feeling I'd finally get my hands on it on Halloween. Its a very aesthetic round one and I was excited to use it.
We chose to gather in Queenswood in the north of London. It was already SUPER SPOOKY cause there was a murder nearby so all of the buses were being redirected lol. We gathered all in black with our witch hats and delved deep in the woods. It was so beautiful and the ground was completely coated in gold and red leaves so you couldn't even see the path. We found a clearing in the thick of the woods with an old tree that grew sideways so it made a semi circle. We made a HUGE circle that we drew in the earth with a dead stick and went over with dragonsblood incense and black salt.
We opened the space by lighting the pumpkin candles and begun with centering our energy. There were several parts to the ritual we planned, but first we begun with a 'putting it to rest' spell since autumn is the time to let things go and samhain is about death so it was like officially bringing things to an end. We wrote down what we wanted to end in our lives on a piece of paper (such as not seeing coworkers from a toxic job that someone was leaving or the retrograde made my friend run into her abusive father that she had binded from seeing her for YEARS so she wanted to put that situation to rest) and ignited it in my cauldron. When it burned down to ashes we chose a spot (under a goblin-like tree) outside of the circle to open the earth and bury it in. After we put it in it's grave we all said a few words of departure and said: rest in peace. lol.
In my case I wrote down names of these models that are obsessed with this Italian guy (who is the son of a huge fashion designer) who is in love with my sister. They are obsessed with him for his connections to the fashion world and that he is rich and are jealous of any 'hoes' he's currently into so they posted instagram stories on Halloween with them in witch hats taunting that they were going to curse him and all of his lovers or whatever in cutesy filters and my sister knows I practice witchcraft so she told me. So I binded and banished them and the next day they unfollowed her lol.
Anyway, afterwards we focused on what we should reflect on by pulling tarot cards for mercury retrograde in scorpio that was beginning on that day as it's going to be like two weeks of descending into our own underworlds. After we got a card we lit the black tealight candle as a road opening spell to manifest a helpful path with overcoming our retrograde's lessons.
Then I lit the skull candle and we had a moment to reflect on our ancestors and those that we loved that have been lost that year. We each shared stories then lit the white tea light candles with the wax that was for thinning the veil. When we lit it we thought about our loved ones or ancestors.
Finally we did a dance for thinning the veil. I had flying devil oil that was some fragrance oil I got from a hoodoo shop and we dressed ourselves with it and ran around the circle and chanted in the leaves. We then ate the pumpkin pie the lovely Taurean witch bought also some maple sugar fudge she bought (what a champ), and halloween candy. We used the Ouija board but it was really challenging. We thought maybe it was cause we needed to be less grounded so we put it away and cleaned up the ritual space and headed off.
The Taurean witch was going to head home to cook a feast, my French aries witch friend went to her friends she's staying at to have a party and my Sag witch friend went home to cook a dumb supper for her and her mom. I went back to my place to nap then get ready for the night. I met my Sag friend at a music venue to watch Honeyblood which is SUCH a witchy band. The performance really reminded me of some scooby doo hex girls shit. It was a lot of fun (until some grown ass men with no sense of self awareness took the mosh pit to mean something more of a Jailbreak riot and started throwing their whole 6ft man bodies everywhere despite not everyone being gladiator sized. It was really ridiculous but golden when Honeyblood sang "Glimmer" with lyrics like "she can put a hex on you" thats when this one guy in some sailor outfit shoved his body into us and we BOTH looked at him with such evil at the same time and he like.. stopped.. and like hastily moved to another part of the room..) If you don't know Honeyblood you should listen to them, they are such a babe witch band.
We then went to a bar nearby to get flaming shots of absinthe as its a personal tradition (also a way to 'cross the veil') and someone took candids of us at the bar! (I added the picture above), for some reason we really caught the attention of everyone though we just were in witch hats like EVERYONE was like: OOO WITCHES and like we even had some lady take pictures of us at the bar? Like ok it was cute I guess. My friend was drunk then so every time someone was like: oo a Witch! She'd holler back YASS BITCH 365 24/7!!!! Like o' dear.
Final part to the night was the house party my Aries witch friend (she's the one who's apartment I almost burned down once when I was making spell candles). It was a place around the corner from mine with a host who was HIGH OFF HER FACE on drugs. There was the counter of alcohol that kept us going all night, we had a lot of mingling with everyone there then when it started to get a little less wild we claimed an empty bedroom and tried the ouija board again since we were definitely less grounded than in the forest. Unfortunately the results were still a bit weak but we got a little bit of consistency with movement. There was some guy there that seemed interested but as time went on it turned out he was more interested in me than the board. I am a touched starved human being and he was playing with my hair and I was drunk so I did not care then after we ended up kissing while my other witchy friends and some new comers were chatting about the dead. My Aries witch friend lives on the other side of the city so she asked if they could stay at mine and I was like yea plus it was like 4AM at this point and this guy was getting very handsy like I just wanted my hair to be played with so I was like ok nice meeting you I gotta go. And He was like oh no please come say one last goodbye. I was too drunk to realize that he was in the bathroom and he closed to door to make out with me and I was like this is nice you do have nice flowy long hair that covers your big shiny forehead that I am now noticing in this bright fluorescent lighting but I gotta go. And he's like: No I wanna take you home I wanted to the moment I saw you. And he WHIPS OUT HIS DICK AND SAYS: this is for you. I am DYING like honestly I found it hilarious, I was so drunk I like forgot that there were other people on the other side of the door so I barge out of the bathroom like: WE ARE GOING HOME and my witchy friends saw his dick and were howling with laughter and that 10 minute walk home they would NOT LET ME BE IN PEACE about it.
Samhain Day
Anyway my friends stay over and in the morning I make tea and a light breakfast since we are hung over and we watch The Worst Witch 1980s Halloween special where we fucking Howl at laughter at everything especially Tim Curry flying around in that Cape. The rest of the day is really quiet since most of it is me sleeping trying to recover from the day before.
At 4 PM I call my relatives to say I love them and stuff cause I felt like my closest relatives on the other side of the veil wanted that. I made a feast for myself which consisted of Mashed sweet potato, a salad of chopped royal gala apples, carrots and beetroots and duck sauteed in maple syrup and bourbon. It may sound sweet but the bourbon balanced it out and duck tastes a bit sweet so it blended well with the maple flavor. After I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I made a plate for my ancestors and then got ready for fireworks with my other witchy friend who is the sound healer at Alexandra Palace.
I nearly missed the MASSIVE fire effigy burning cause the commute there was a NIGHTMARE since everything was still being redirected. (Thanks mercury retrograde). The fireworks were incredible though. There were so many it was like being bombarded with fiery psychedelics. My friend still wanted to show off her sexy angel outfit for Halloween so I asked if she wanted to hang out with us tomorrow night to party.
Saturday Night
She came over like at 4 and we got ready. She looked a bit like the angel from the remake of Romeo and Juliette with Leonardo decaprio but in lingerie with a long white lace robe. I dressed as a poltergeist though I don't think it came off that way but I had a sheer black dress on with a skeleton body suit, a glow in the dark wig and pale tulle. I just wanted to be a spooky ghost. We had to sneak into a members club that I work at cause I am NOT allowed to be there and I was terrified of them finding out so it felt like Danger Partying. They had a day of the dead party so I blended in but I felt like some staff that recognized me were like staring at me all night. We still had fun and spoke about our Samhain experiences. My friend is also a medium so she gave me some ouija tips so hopefully that can help me in the future.
Sunday Morning
I went to a workshop in the food forest about fire starting!! It was beautiful and magical and the forest was in full autumn mode. I learned how to chop wood with different axes and carve wood and start fires with either two pieces of wood (which is extremely hard on your own like you better be in the dryest place possible and you better have a bow), and how to start fire with flint/magnesium which is 1000% easier would highly recommend. There's so much magic in nature and so much magic in those workshops. We learned which trees were best for firewood and which were toxic and how to use bark or forage for fire starter materials. I am getting more drawn to fire as an element to work with in magic so I loved learning the techniques and also that you can start fires with the back of a knife (the teacher had a specific wood carving knife that was thick) so its like if you get a specific Athame which is ruled by fire you could also use it to start fires too if you got a fire steel key. (It's a rod of magnesium and you'd strike it with the back of the knife hard and fast and sparks will shoot out like fireworks).
Anyway that was my week so far!! It was so much fun and adventurous I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I have today off so I had a moment to reflect and get myself together for work tomorrow but afterwork I am celebrating Bonfire night with my sag witch friend at Victoria park so I am excited to take part in that!
I hope you all had a great Samhain!
#halloween#personal#samhain#celebrations#I wish like every sabbat was this eventful#some parts could have been a movie#Some parts I wish I was more in the moment for but it was also a bit emotional with the retrograde

Do you have a savings account? No.
Has anyone ever hacked your accounts before? Yes.

Is there any piece of jewelry you’re constantly wearing? Nope.
What is one thing you desire as of now? To be able to fast forward through summer and also get back to some normalcy. What color are your eyes? Brown.
Have you ever worn color contacts? Nope. I haven’t worn any contacts, just the idea of putting them in my eye and taking them out freaks me out.

If you have a significant other, how long have you been together? I’m single.
Do you know any genuinely friendly people? Yes.

Chapter: 2/?
Almost three and a half hours later and the party was still going strong. Brielynn had stopped by at the beginning of the party for a surprise visit and stayed for a couple hours afterwards before she had to head home to her family that she was going to stay with for the weekend. Everyone was talking to one another with their cups filled with soda or plates with cake and half-eaten pizza slices nearby. The cold air that seeped in from the window mixed well with the warm air of the shop that had been partnered with an apartment in the back and it happened to be that the latter of the two that Amelia’s family and friends now sat around in. To everyone in the room, it felt like bliss; it was a moment that everyone wished to live in forever.
Minutes soon turned into hours when Elena, Amelia’s sister who was a year younger than her glanced at her phone when a notification popped up on her screen. 7:03 pm, it read. A brief sigh escaped her as she looked up at the slowing party. Getting up, she walked over to her sister who was lying on the couch whose attention focused towards her phone screen and plopped onto the couch completely disregarding the disgruntled yelps coming from her older sister.
“God dammit, Ellie!” Amelia yelled. “I was just about to beat my high score on Crossy Road!”
“Well, sorry! I just came to tell you that I have homework to do, so I’ve decided that I’m going up to the house,” Elena said as she adjusted herself so that she had her head resting on her sisters stomach. “You know you’re incredibly short, right? Like, really short?”
“Gee, thanks...” Amelia scoffed as she pressed the pale blue play button at the bottom of her phone screen. “I mean, It’s not like I’ve always been like this or anything...”
Smiling, Elena stood, patted her sisters head gingerly, and headed towards the door that would lead her to the main house.
“Bye! Don’t invite any boys over and do anything that you’re not supposed to do!” Elena Sadie as she have a small smile from over her shoulder.
Soon after that, Amelia’s family had trickled you to the main house one by one, leaving the five girls alone in the apartment that had become a place for many birthdays and parties. Looking outside, Artemis could see that the sky was still decently lit and the wind was blowing a warm air in, slightly hinting at the summer months that had long since passed, but the shadows from the mountains and the trees had gave the air a tinge of a brisk and refreshing fall that she had long awaited. The group of five talked for another half hour or so when Artemis got the urge that compelled her to explore the lands around her. Hopping off of her spot on the counter, she grabbed everyone’s jacket, individually throwing them at the person it belonged to, eventually doing the same with everyone’s shoes. In confusion, everyone looked at Artemis. After putting her own jacket and shoes on, she grabbed her water bottle and filled it with leftover soda.
“Artemis, what’s going on?” Layla inquired.
“I’m going on a walk and I’m going to make you guys come with me,” She answered as she tied her hair up in a simple bun.
Smiling, the other girls threw on their jackets and shoes, almost running to the door with any other supplies such as any small snacks and water bottles that they would need on their walk in their arms as the sound of gravel soon hit their ears. The air felt damp with the oncoming storm, which was refreshing compared to the normal fall air that the girls had when the season started.
As the gravel turned to dirt which eventually turned to leaf and dandelion covered grass, their little adventure that seemed like an epic quest to them had begun.
✧❈✧
The group was walking peacefully together with Hope walking in front of them as she silently lead the way down the path that she had become so familiar with, subconsciously listening for anything that sounded out of the familiar noise of the forest. After all, it was what she was bread to do. When the group entered a small clearing with a mobile camper that had come with the house, Hope trotted over to where the sunlight broke through the trees, assessed the areas, and laid down. Not far from the camper in a couple of the massive trees was a treehouse that was built a short time after the main house was built. The stream that ran through the property bubbled from the fall rains nearby.
“Most of everyone at the house don’t come down here often,” Amelia smiled. “So I kinda adopted it as my own little place to go to for fun.”
“For fun? I would live down here all the time!” Artemis exclaimed as she ran to the base of the stairs that had built into one of the trees. “Can I?”
Amelia nodded silently before nodding towards the others that they could go into the treehouse as well, she had headed towards the camper.
“I’m going to get some stuff real quick. I’ll be up in a sec,” Amelia shouted from over her shoulder.
The door to the camper opened with a gentle whine of the old, rusted hinges. On the outside, it looked old and weathered and uninhabitable, but on the inside it was homey. Since it appeared as such, the camper door was always left unlocked. However, because no one ever came down there besides Amelia and the rare visitor, only bottled water, granola bars and some instant things were kept down there just in case Amelia or whoever else was down there could snack on anything if they needed it. Grabbing some stove-top popcorn, peanut M&M’s, and some pretzels, she turned towards the door when an array of ding’s came from the phone in her back pocket.
“Shit, what is it now?” She said as she saw Artemis’ name that the top of the screen, numerous texts following after. They looked normal at first, but when she opened the texts they were all random figures that shot straight lines and curved around themselves with the infrequent dot or two above each symbol. There were different groupings of these, almost as if they were trying to form words. “The fuck? Since when do smartphones text in Tengwar?”
Then a text in English popped up. It was asking Amelia if she knew where the entrance to Arda was. Then another popped up that she needed to know right then or the entire group would be at risk. Confusion plagued her thoughts before a knock came at the trailer door. Turning, Amelia saw that it was Artemis with a slightly worried look on her face.
“Everything okay? You weren’t answering my calls,” Artemis obviously looked concerned, but beheld complete oblivion to the texts she had sent moment prior.
Amelia shook her head, confusion bringing her brows together like a drawbridge.
“Why were you asking for the entrance to Arda in the texts you sent me? You know 100% its fiction, right?” She countered before her eyes looked up from her phone. “And why the everlasting fuck would we be at risk if I didn’t tell you?”
In turn, Artemis was confused because she knew that didn’t send any texts to anyone, especially Amelia, in hours. She had no clue as to what Amelia was talking about and none of it made sense to her. Hell, she hadn’t even thought about her phone until after she’d left school, and that was almost four hours ago.
“What do you mean? I didn’t send you any texts. Not since yesterday,” Artemis defended only for Amelia to shove her phone into her hands.
“Look. You started sending me texts in Tengwar, which is a form of elvish,” Amelia was slightly flustered now, not believing a thing. “A-and I should mention that elvish in any form--”
“Isn’t compatible with any smartphone? I know. Not to mention that it’s fictional too,” Artemis interrupted without even looking at Amelia’s phone screen.
The two had a stare down before Amelia nodded down to her phone in Artemis’ hands. As Artemis began scrolling through the texts the two shared, only for her to see nothing in any form of elvish, whether it be in Tengwar or not. Sighing, Artemis shrugged her shoulders and handed the phone back.
“I don’t blame you for seeing what I may or may not have sent you, but regardless…” She trailed off and ran her fingers through her hair and turned to opened one of the cupboards only to pull out an Ouija board. “The others were wanting to play.”
✧❈✧
Laughter emitted from the girls as popcorn amongst other assorted snacks flung everywhere while a compilation of turbo rare Vines played in the background. Each and every one of them were bundled up in blankets and hoodies while they were rolling around on the floor, wheezing with laughter as the Vines continued to get more and more comical. In honesty, they weren’t sure if it was because of the delirium due to lack of sleep or if the compilation was actually funny or not. Either way, they were having the time of their lives. Once the girls were able to calm themselves, a silence overtook them. It wasn’t awkward or forced, they just lied there with their happy gazes cast to the ceiling. Then Layla sighed.
“Are we ever gonna play with that Ouija board?”
Amelia shook her head.
“I wish we could, but I wouldn’t recommend playing after midnight,” Amelia rolled to her side and picked up a piece of stray popcorn before popping it into her mouth. “Witching hour and whatnot. Wouldn’t want to risk anything.”
“Right. And it’s almost 2 am,” Layla’s voice was thoughtful and thankfully understanding.
With the rest of the group understanding, Layla and the others sat up and gathered around in a circle with each individuals stuff in hand. Then, Amelia yawned deeply, goosebumps tickling her skin as a cool breeze came in from an open window nearby. The others laughed.
“Someone’s tired,” Artemis said as she wiped the sleep from her eyes.
In truth, they were all tired, even if they would’ve like to have admitted it or not.
“Everyone ready?” Amelia yawned while the others nodded their heads.
Everyone began to stumble out of the treehouse door and began to climb down the ladder. Amelia had stopped momentarily to look up at the moon and stars before the clouds would eventually block her view. The moon had cast a silvery light across the landscape. As she watched it, she saw several deer prance across it, only to look at them with a confused look on her face when she had noticed they stopped to look at something. But what? The sky? Then, a portion of the silver stricken sky had turned a mixture of purple rocketing towards the earth. The deer scattered as their flight or fight response kicked in as the object crashed just within the tree line across the field.
“Wha–? Did, what?” She spluttered as she pointed in the direction where the object crashed. “Did, you not ju–? Light?”
The others hadn’t seemed to have noticed seeing as most of them had already climbed down the ladder. Amelia’s shoulders sagged as a sigh of exasperation left her. How did they not see it? It lit up the entire sky!
“Did any of you see that?” Amelia asked as she looked back at the field to where the object lay.
The others shook their heads with no clue in the world as to what Amelia was talking about. Could this be what part of the sleep deprived part of her looked like? Or was she going crazy? Was it both?
“No, but one thing I do see is one tired adult. C’mon now, it’s late,” Tanya yawned. “We can check out whatever you saw in the morning.”
In the distance, the purple glow still shined while beams of it seeped through cracks in the trees, but now it pulsed to a beat she couldn’t hear. Upon looking closer, she saw silhouettes of four figures emerging from the tree line. Two of them looked short with a sturdy build, one was of average height and build, while the last one was tall and lithe. The figures parted when something large on four legs began sauntering between them. Together, the group walked with surety, like a man on a mission. In the blink of an eye, a flash of colors appeared before Amelia’s eyes within a flash of a second. She closed her eyes at the bright away but opened them when it became unbearable. But that’s the thing, instead of seeing a horizon of trees and mountains, to moon, the stars, and that pulsating purple light, she saw the same silhouettes from just a moment prior. Now that they were up close, she could see what they looked like; or, who they looked like.
They were her friends, but they looked… different. And by different, they were, no… how? She took a step back. The something she saw wasn’t just something, it was a smilodon, but it wasn’t for long. The thing that was a cat had literally morphed itself into her but this version of her was taller and looked like a fighter. This version of her looked like she had fought in a war she never wanted to fight.
✧❈✧
She woke to the gentle breathing of her friends when she saw Amelia sitting straight up in the makeshift bed made out of blankets and pillows, eyes closed, her figure rigid and stiff. She wasn’t aware of any sleep-related things that plagued her friend such as sleepwalking or night terrors, so this was all new to her. Quietly crawling over to see if she was okay, Artemis sat parallel to her friend, facing the opposite direction so then she could look at Amelia. An ethereal silver moonlight was casted on the two friends through the dense clouds, trees, and partially covered windows. It wasn’t until then that Artemis noticed that Amelia was muttering some strange language that seemed to roll off her tongue with a grace that gave off an airy feel.
“Gil-galadsuil hitha-ial,” Amelia breathed as she continued to repeat the same phrase over and over, her eyes glowing from under her faintly opened eyes. “Gil-galadsuil hitha-ial.”
Panicking, Artemis woke the others, not knowing what to do. She bit her lip as the others slowly began to wake from their slumber. Each one grumbled a different complaint about how it was too early or how they needed more sleep, but once they were awake and saw how worried Artemis looked, not to mention that their friend was still speaking words that they didn’t understand. Layla sighed angrily, unhappy that she was woken at such an unnaturally early hour.
“Have you tried Google Translate? I heard that’s useful,” Her tone was low with impatience and displeasure, a combination that typically meant trouble with her.
Artemis’ shoulders sunk in conquest, sighing as she did so.
“I did. It didn’t work. None of it made sense,” Artemis rolled her eyes, exhaling through her nose. “You’re welcome to give it a try.”
A silence overtook the small group of friends that were still awake, each one of them trying to think of something to help they’re friend. Minutes had passed when Artemis finally noticed that there was something different about Amelia. Besides the now visible and unfamiliar scars that varied in size were scattered across Amelia’s face and arms, there was slight purple glow coming from her eyes. Grabbing her face, Artemis called for a light to be cast onto the pale, freckled face and body of her friend. A scar had vertically cut itself through Amelia’s left eyebrow and onto her cheek and left a small valley where the skin was once unified. Other scars were scattered across the blonde’s face such as one that rested along her jawbone with one that crossed over it and one that started from the crease of her smile line to her lip. The ones on her arms included the imprinted memories of rope burns and fire to spiked chains and cat-o-nine tail whips. They were all scars that she had never had before.
“H-how? How is this…?” Lucia stuttered as she watched Artemis try to use the small light that she was given for various tests to see how Amelia’s pupils that were hidden behind a dull glowing light.
Tanya shrugged as a response knowing that none of them could give a proper answer. Amelia kept muttering the same words over and over again so much that it had almost became background noise as everyone in the room tried to think of what to do. Everyone had become so lost in thought that they hadn’t noticed that Amelia had completely opened her eyes and stopped her chanting altogether until Artemis had let out a yelp when Amelia had used one hand to grab the scruff of her shirt while the other went to her chin and moved it to make Artemis look into her eyes.
“We have been waiting, child…” Amelia croaked in a voice that would only come from ones deepest nightmares. All the light coming from the window had all but disappeared, making the only light emanate from the eyes of Amelia. “Far too long have we waited for this moment.”
Not even a moment later, the whole room erupted in a bright purple light and all went black.

Can you do a paranormal Stephew fic? One of them is a medium who's been tasked to investigate a haunted place, and encounters the other as a ghost
The last place Matt would have thought would be haunted washis new apartment. Yet as he stepped through the threshold he could feel thepresence of someone, or rather something. He probably should have vetted itearlier but now he had already signed the lease and all he could do was hopethis one wouldn’t be that much of a problem.
“Hello,” he called out warily. “Are you there?”
Nothing.
He stepped further in and dropped his bags.
“I can feel your presence, I’m not here to hurt you, I justwant to help.”
He waited a beat…and still nothing.
Well that wasn’t going all to well. Maybe the spirit wasn’tstrong enough to appear. Whatever the case, he was losing daylight and neededto finish moving in soon. The spirit seemed harmless enough.
He hoped.
Once he had more or less finished moving in he slumped onthe couch and closed his eyes tiredly. Moving boxes was not fu-
A loud noise broke his thoughts and he quickly stood up. Thenoise seemed to be coming from the kitchen but when he got there nothing hadchanged or moved.
“Hey, was that you?” he asked the air.
No answer.
“Look,” he sighed tiredly. “I’m not here to hurt you, I’mjust living here. I already signed a lease so it’s too late to move out, I hopeyou understand. I’ll try and talk to you tomorrow okay? Maybe we can figuresomething out?”
There was no response but he felt a slight chill and hopedthat was a confirmation.
The next day, he dug through the boxes and pulled out a Ouijaboard. Not the best method but the rest of his stuff was still buried in boxesand the board would do until he got it all set up.
“Hey!” he called through the apartment. “I got a board, notideal I know, I’ll get set up with something better after I finish unpackingokay?”
He wanted to be as transparent as possible, he needed thespirit to trust him, to understand he meant no harm.
With the board all set up he waited for a moment before askinghis first question.
“Who are you?”
For a moment there was nothing and he wondered if maybe theboard was also too hard for the spirit to use but another cold chill made himstop.
Slowly the piece moved spelling out the letters S T E P H AN I E
“Stephanie? It’s nice to meet you. My name is Matthew, I’m amedium.” He introduced, trying to appear as friendly as possible. He had noidea how old the girl was or how long she’d been here.
“Well Stephanie I’ll be able to talk to you better once I’msettled in but we need to get somethings clear okay?”
The spirit hadn’t harmed him in any way but he wanted tomake sure it was going to be okay.
“Do you understand I’m not going to hurt you?
The piece moved to the YES.
“Are you okay with me living here?”
Once again, YES.
“Can you promise you won’t hurt me?”
YES.
He let out a sigh of relief. This was goo-
Suddenly, the lights started flickering violently and theroom got very cold. But in a second it was over, and everything returned tonormal.
“Stephanie?” he called out, worry overtaking him now.
The piece started to move again but before it could make itto the letter it stopped suddenly. He couldn’t feel her presence anymore.
With a worried frown he packed up everything. It seemed likethe spirit had lost its energy. With renewed vigor he set to unpacking theboxes.
A day later he was settled in and finally had all hismaterials. He set up the mat and candles and filled a bowl with some itemscovering it all in a layer of sand. And in the darkened room he chanted, calling the spirit to him. When he finally opened his eyes she was there, barely holding her form, but a woman around his age stared back at him.
“Hello, it’s nice to finally meet you,” he said gripping thebowl to maintain the connection.
She nodded.
“How long have you been like this? You seem pretty new atthis.”
She couldn’t seem to talk so he looked down at the bowlwhere the answer was being written out in the sand.
“Six? Six months? What happened?”
He looked up to see the girl looking sadly back.
“Shot? You were shot? I’m so sorry.” And he truly was. Hereyes had wisps of white flowing down which he recognized as tears.
She hadn’t deserved to get shot, she wasn’t even a violentspirit. Just a girl who was confused and lost and sad.
But what was connecting her to this place? Maybe if he foundout he could help set her free.
“Did you use to live here?” he asked finally.
She nodded in response. Well he couldn’t just salt and burnthe apartment. He would need to help her move on.
“Listen, I can help you, I-“ He broke off as the apparitionstarted to flicker and his concentration and hold fell through. He gaspedviolently as he was thrust out of the communication and into the now brightlylit room.
This would take some time he noted, she wasn’t strong enoughto help just yet. He wouldn’t be able to help her let go, not like this. She neededto get stronger, which seemed counter intuitive, but he had to be able to talkto her.
He would wait.
-.-.-
It took about a month or so but she was finally strongenough to move things around with consistency.
It started with small notes in steamed bathroom mirrors whichranged from “hello” to “Doctors apt. @ 3.”
He laughed at that one and thanked her for reminding him. Shealso helped him out around the apartment, putting dishes away, or throwing out emptydiet coke cans.
(He told her she really didn’t need to do all that but a pillowgot thrown in his face and he took it as a sign to shut up.)
They talked for longer periods of time, even through theboard, about a dozen small things. He learned her favorite color was purple andshe had loved tea. He tried to gather all the information he could tounderstand why she was still here and how to help her leave the realm ofexistence she was in.
A couple weeks later, she could hold an apparition, whichscared him the first time she appeared at the entrance to the kitchen when hewas making a sandwich.
She laughed silent at the reaction and he felt a heat cometo his cheeks as he begrudgingly laughed along with her.
Now he could see her float through the house, watch TV whenhe did, stare out the window. It was weird to see her react to things, shewould roll her eyes at a bad joke or bop her head to a song.
It seemed like she was getting more and more human everyday.More and more real.
“Can you try to talk?” he asked one day as they sat on thecouch watching the news.
He watched her consider the words. She opened her mouth butnothing came out. She looked down at her lap, disappointed.
“Hey, it’s okay, you’ll get there,” he reassured. She noddedglumly and turned back towards the news. They had only been watching for a minutemore before an inhumane scream pierced the air.
Matt jumped at the sound. “Stephanie!?” he yelled. She had disappearedand the whole place was shaking slightly, lights flickering, and so so cold. Hecould see his breath.
“Stephanie!?” he yelled again, “Are you okay?”
No answer, just more lights and cold and shaking. Slowlythough, it started to fade, the air turned warm, the lights stopped flickering, and things were quiet.
But he could here sobbing coming from the corner of the roomand there she was huddled close shaking and sobbing, tears running down herpale cheeks.
He moved closer to her. “Hey,” he whispered sitting besideher, “Hey it’s okay.”
And they sat until she finally calmed down and looked up athim.
“They shot me,” she whispered, her voice dry and crackingfrom unuse. She looked up to where the TV was still playing, talking about aseries of mobbings they were investigating.
“They appeared out of nowhere on my walk home and shot me.” Hervoice was quiet, and tears were still running down her cheeks.
“I don’t know what happened after that. I..I just knew I hadto get home. So I did, but it wasn’t the same. No one could see me, or hear me.They took out all my stuff. I…I realized that I had died.”
She looked up with a broken look on her face.
“All I wanted was to go home and drink some tea, I just wantedto live.”
He reached out a hand. She stared at it for a second before reachingout her own to meet his. She had a solid touch now, cold and pale but stillsolid. She gasped at the contact.
“I’m sorry,” he finally said. He understood her now.Understood that she was strapped here because all she wanted was home. And alife.
“You didn’t deserve what happened to you. But you don’tdeserve this either.” He gestured to her body. “You don’t deserve this cursedhalf-life.”
“It’s not so bad,” she replied, looking over at him. “Not when…notwhen you’re around.”
He smiled sadly.
“But I won’t always be around, and you’ll be stuck in torment. You need to let go.”
Her eyes widened, and she shook her heard vigorously.
“No, no! I don’t want to go.”
He clasped his other hand on top of hers.
“Listen, I know it seems scary, but it’s okay. It’ll bebetter on the other side.”
She shook her head and looked away.
“I don’t….I don’t want to…”
He pulled her close.
“Shhhh, I know, I know it’s hard. But you need to let go.You have come so far Steph, you just got to finish it now.”
Fresh tears had started running down her face at the words.
“Will I see you again?”
He smiled softly. “Maybe. Wait for me on the other side, yeah?”
She nodded, still crying and he was surprised to find awetness on his cheeks as well.
A bright light shone in the room and he blinked back his owntears as she slowly got up and moved towards it, entranced.
With one last look back she smiled, a true smile, andstepped in, vanishing in an instant.
He smiled back as his eyes burned from the light and tears.
“Goodbye Stephanie, may death find you alive.”
A/N: Hey! Thanks for this prompt! It ran a little long but it was just so much fun to write! (Plus I’m re-watching Supernatural so this kind of stuff is on my mind) I hope you like what I came up with! Thanks again!

800 Sorcerers Delivered By a Drop of Jesus’ Blood
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
Some years ago I traveled to central Africa, to Kinshasa, the capital city of Zaire. Upon arrival, I found myself in the middle of a mighty visitation of God.
Night after night I saw miracle after miracle as thousands of Africans came forward and placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The crowds grew in size every night until, by Friday, attendance exceeded 130,000. That night, the local pastors who had been working with me said, “Brother Mahesh, this is a week night; the main crowds will come on the weekend.”
The next morning, I heard the Lord say to me, “Tonight you will do a mass deliverance service.”
“But Lord,” I protested, “tonight is when the biggest crowd will be coming!” I still remembered the time when Brother Derek Prince and I had held a mass deliverance service for 10,000 people. In that part of Africa, strongholds of witchcraft were so powerful that when we took authority in the name of Jesus, a couple hundred people fell down and started writhing like snakes and coming toward us. God miraculously delivered them. Now, years later, here I was with a crowd more than ten times larger.
The Lord told me again, “Tonight you will do a mass deliverance service.”
“Lord,” I replied, “if I do that, thousands of demons will manifest and we will be out of control!” I was all alone, with no trained staff to help me. A few local pastors were assisting me, but they were not trained in deliverance ministry.
I asked, “How can You do this, Lord? I’m all alone.”
He answered, “Tonight, hundreds of sorcerers will come and confront you.”
This wasn’t getting any better. I felt like saying, “Thanks a lot! I wish You had never told me!”

You have to understand that these African sorcerers are not the type who just play with Ouija boards or give astrological signs to people. They are the kind of sorcerers who place curses on people, and those people actually die. According to some, these sorcerers can supposedly change forms at night, and they are known to eat human flesh regularly. Far beyond your “garden-variety” sorcerer, these necromancers are completely devoted to the forces of evil and darkness. Because they have given themselves over to satan, they possess demonic powers.
And now hundreds of them were going to confront me? Again I tried to reason with God. “Lord, I’m all alone here, and You really want me to hold a deliverance service to cast demons out of thousands of people?”
The Lord said, “This night I am sending you to break the yoke of witchcraft over this nation.”
“But Lord,” I pleaded, “I’m all alone!”
What I heard next sealed it for me. God really spoke to my heart. His presence was so close that I heard Him almost as an audible voice. “You are not alone, for I am your helper.
Tonight I will give you a revelation of My blood.”
That evening, approximately 800 sorcerers from all over that region of Africa were among the tens of thousands gathered in that place. One sorcerer alone was enough to strike fear into an entire village. Over the past several days, these shamans had seen thousands of people come to Christ. Now, angry because I had taken business away from them, they had come together to oppose my ministry. Although scattered throughout the crowd, they were easy enough to identify. Their bone necklaces and strange manner of dress set them apart from everybody else.
The local African pastors came to me in fear and said, “These sorcerers are putting their curses upon us and upon the service! What should we do?”
“Let them do it,” I replied.
It is very difficult to describe, but as I began that night, I realized that I had walked into a highly-charged spiritual atmosphere. It was almost as though I could see the blood of Jesus Christ all around me. As I stood up to speak, something exploded inside me, and I said, “I know you are out there, all you sorcerers, and I want you to know that I am not afraid of you. Not one person here tonight needs to be afraid of the powers of darkness. Listen to me, sorcerers. I am not afraid of you, and I am not afraid of your demons. Tonight, God has shown me that one drop of the blood of Jesus Christ can destroy the kingdom of satan!”
Mass Deliverance
As the Lord had promised, it was a true revelation for me. That night we bound the powers of darkness, and God brought a mighty deliverance. I said, “In the name of Jesus, I bind you demon spirits who have oppressed this people for centuries. I break that yoke of witchcraft; I release this people.”
Even as I prayed, thousands of demons began manifesting. People fell to the ground. Sick bodies were healed, and blind eyes were opened. Many people who were involved in witchcraft renounced their sorcery. In addition to the miraculous physical healings, masses of people were transformed spiritually by the power of the blood of Jesus. The sorcerers’ powers were bound. At one point, the local pastors rushed up to me excitedly and said, “Brother Mahesh, we believe that as many as 25,000 people have given their lives to Jesus Christ tonight!”
Here is the amazing thing. I had done deliverance services before, and it was very common for demons to wail out and cause quite a commotion when we commanded them to leave. On this occasion, I was looking out over a crowd of around 150,000 people, and I was afraid of things getting really strange and out of control. After a little while, when I sensed that the Holy Spirit had done what He was going to do, I said, “In the power of the name of Jesus and through His blood, I command you to stop.” The entire place became absolutely quiet. I had never seen anything like it: 150,000 people gathered in one place, and complete silence.
The Lord taught me two lessons that night: there is power in the blood of Jesus Christ, and every demon has to bow when we walk in the revelation of that blood.
We Need the Revelation of the Blood
Africa is not unique. All over the world, in every nation, culture, and people group, millions of people stand in need of a deliverance that only the blood of Jesus Christ can bring. Even within the Body of Christ itself—the church— many believers are in spiritual bondage through sin and ignorance and need deliverance. In many cases, they have never been taught the power of the blood of Jesus to bring them the healing they need. Our Lord’s purpose is for us, His people, to bring salvation, healing, and deliverance to the nations. How can we do that if we need to be delivered ourselves?
Today we are eyewitnesses to the fulfillment of the Lord’s promise in Jeremiah and Ezekiel:
In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers (Jeremiah 3:18).
Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel (Ezekiel 11:16-17).
God is fulfilling His Word before our very eyes. No matter how powerful the forces of evil and darkness appear, God is in charge of history. He always has been.
In this present generation, the Lord wants to impregnate us with a deep sense of who we are as His people. This is not a time to circle the wagons; we should be in “attack mode.” This is the hour where we should run toward the enemy, pull down his strongholds, and take back the nations. One drop of the blood of Jesus is all it takes to destroy satan’s kingdom, and God wants us to receive His revelation of that blood.

Tony Stark, Served Well Done
[A/N]: This is my fill for the “Hansel and Gretel” square on my Fairytale Bingo card. It was interesting to write, because I don’t usually write full AUs, much less in first person. I hope you like it!
Tony
I always knew this is how I was going to die.
Now you might be thinking Oh, Tony, you’re being hyperbolic, “eaten by a witch” is a weirdly specific way to go, there’s no way you could have expected it.
Yeah well, I’m not.
Ever since I stepped foot in this school I’ve known something like this was going to happen.
Okay, let me backup.
Hi, my name’s Tony Stark, soon to be dinner.
I’m a junior at Shield Highschool. Now, most people in town who don’t go here think that we’re just a bunch of stuck up genius snobs who get away with whatever we want.
That’s not true.
Well, the genius part is true, obviously, I go here. And so does Bruce, and Sam, and Natasha’s scarily good with computers and of course Jan and Bobbi- and I’m getting off topic.
Anyway we’re all actually a group of barely-functioning hot messes. If it isn’t exams, it’s school clubs, homework, the fact that none of us get enough sleep because we have to get up ass-early in the morning to get here on time, everyone’s got something to worry about here. We don’t have time to be stuck-up.
My current worry is the large boiling vat I’m dangling over.
Right, right, moving on. So, as Principal Coulson will tell you, if you’re in the mood for ten minutes of him waxing poetic about what the school, Shield High was built on top of a potter’s field, which is a mass grave for unmarked bodies.
So yeah, school’s literally built on top of a pile of dead bodies of spirits that are probably pissed they never got a proper burial.
The first time I heard that little tidbit, my immediate thought was “some idiot is going to bring a Ouija board here and get us all killed.” It was joke, but I still called it.
So, it was after school, and I was hanging out with the D&D club that my friends and I formed with the help of the BEST PHYSICS TEACHER EVER, Mr. Yinsen, when suddenly the lights went out, a draft picked up through the school an an unearthly screech ripped through the building.
It was pitch black, so, naturally, we pulled out our phones to have some sort of light.
Natasha put her phone to her ear.
It couldn’t have rang more than once before she took it away again and shook her head.
“I don’t have any signal.”
At that, everyone else immediately started checking their phones too.
“No wifi,” Jan announced.
“Landline isn’t working either” Mr. Yinsen sighed
“This can only mean good things.” Clint muttered.
“Why don’t we take a look around?” Steve said, because he’s a giant innocent puppy dog who’s probably never actually seen a horror movie.
“Are you crazy?” Sam practically screeched. “No.”
“Rogers, what are you a, dumbass? This whole scenario screams demon attack.” Rhodey added..
“C’mon don’t we at least want to be in a room with actual, you know, windows? It’s only 3:30 in the afternoon, even if it’s cloudy, it’ll be more light than in here.” Brucie Bear suggested. It seemed like a good point. Mr. Yinsen’s room doesn’t have any windows, which makes the room darker. Even if we did walk into a monster movie, a you’d think a better lit room would have to help right?
WRONG! Oh so wrong, because as it turned out the sky had become, as Clint so eloquently put it, “a fucking bloodbath of hatred and death.”
Instead of the soft gray clouds and light snowfall that would be expected this time of year, the clouds were a hard black, and the sky was a deep crimson occasionally split in two by the crack of thunder and a lightning strike.
Like any sane person, we immediately tried to nope the fuck outta there, but the windows weren’t opening up and it took us exactly 5 minutes to realize we were very lost. In the school most of us have been attending for a little over 2 years at this point.
“Well, fuck.” I announced, because really, what else was there to say? I’m not sure if anyone else had noticed it, but the speakers which usually pumped terrible jazz music through the halls instead were playing a heaving breathing sound. I didn’t really feel like pointing it out to anyone at that moment, though.
“So. What do we do?” Clint panted.
Steve immediately took charge. I don’t remember what he said exactly, I may have been too busy staring at him as he got that stubborn look in his eyes and went into full protective mode and his eyebrows scrunched up just so and UuuuuggGgGHHhhhhhh.
Okay, so I might have a slight crush on Steve. You don’t get to make fun of it, I’m about to be boiled.
Anyway so, I wasn’t exactly paying attention but I got paired up with Natasha. I have this habit of aggressively hoarding snacks in my backpack, so I gave some to each of the pairs. In theory we’d each head in a different direction and follow the food trails back to where we started.
As Natasha and I made our way up the stairs and somehow ended up in the basement, we heard moaning. Immediately we shared a look and then ran after the voice. Who did we find but none other than Justin Hammer.
Now, Justin is a prick, but even he didn’t deserve the sorry state we’d found him in. He was pale, clutching his arm, and he had a black eye.
“Stark. Romanoff,” he grunted, as if the words hurt to say.
“Yeah, it’s us.” I helped him up and slung his arm over my shoulder.
“Justin, do you know what’s going on here?” Natasha asked taking his other arm. We shared a silent look and agreed that we should take him back to the meeting point.
“I was playing Ouija.” he said.
A few hours ago neither of us would have believed we were having this conversation, but now, the evidence was kind of hard to refute.
“Aren’t you not supposed to do that alone?” I said. “Or in a place where people are buried?
“Justin, what kind of spirit did you summon?” Natasha asked at the same time.
Yeah, Nat was probably asking better questions than I was. I decided to leave the interrogation to her.
“A witch,” Justin whispered.
“And what does she want?”
“Him.” Justin said shifting his head in my direction.
“Wait, I’m sorry, what?” I yelped.
“When I summoned her, she wanted to eat my soul, but I knew you’d be here with your nerd club, and she said she wouldn’t eat me if I got you for her.”
“Shit.” Natasha said, and we dropped Justin like a sack of potatoes.
It was too late though. High cackling laughter erupted from around us. Suddenly, an invisible force knocked me into a wall, and everything went dark.
*
When i came too again, i found myself in my current predicament, tied up and dangling upside-down over a vat.
“More sage.” A voice from the shadows called out, and a very grumpy Natasha was pushed in the direction of the pot.
“Hey! Leave her alone!” i yelled. I like to think I was somewhat intimidating.
The witch just laughed though, and practically glided over to me. I don’t know what she looks like other than she wears a dark robe with the hood covering her face.
“Ah, Iron Man, I’m glad to see you’re awake.” She said, placing a bony hand to my cheek. “This is such a lovely little universe that buffoon called me to. You Avengers all have the same delicious spirit, but none of the pesky toys or skills.”
“I’m sorry, it might be the blood rushing to my head, but that doesn’t make any sense.” I bit back. Avengers? What was she going on about? “And if you just want to eat my soul, why do you need the pots and spices.”
The witch laughed again. “Oh, I want you to suffer. You’ve all wronged me, but you, Tony Stark sealed me away, so you get to feel being cooked alive. Your friends’ punishment is getting to watch.”
With that, she glided back to her corner, silently watching the two of us.
“So, Nat. Don’t suppose you can convince her I’m not fat enough to eat?

Steve
This isn’t good. I’m back at the meeting place, and Rhodey, Jan, Clint, Bruce, Sam and Mr. Yinsen have all made it back, but Tony and Natasha are nowhere to be found. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t an artist, because I can picture very clearly what it might be like to find the two of them ripped apart by whatever was causing this.
The school has seemingly become its own dimension. The hallways send you to completely different floors, the walls randomly become soft like flesh, and strange voices everywhere. Creepy didn’t even begin to describe it.
Not only that, the school was empty aside from the eight D&D club members and Mr. Yinsen. No other teachers, students from other clubs, or any janitors or security guards could be found.
I’m completely out of my depth when it comes to occult stuff like this. I wish Thor wasn’t out of town for family business, he’d know what to do. His brother practically lives and breathes this kind of stuff.
“How long has it been?” I ask absently while pacing the hall.
“30 seconds since you last asked, so about 5 minutes since we our agreed rendezvous time.” Bruce says. Oops. I stop and realize the others are watching me. I’m probably worrying them.
“Ok, let’s just go look for them. They did leave a trail.” Sam points out. “Either we’ll find them at the end or bump into them as they head back.”
Right. That sounds smart, why didn’t I think of that.
“Okay,” I say, “but let’s stick together, I don’t want to lose anyone else.”
With that, everyone in the group nods and we head off after Nat and Tony’s trail. We travel in relative silence, everyone’s concern is palpable.
We eventually make it to the end of the trail in the basement, where our missing friends are nowhere to be found.
“Shit.” Rhodey curses. I feel like punching a wall, but I swallow my frustrations.
“Let’s keep going. See if we can find any sign of them.” I say. It sounds like something the leader would say, which I guess I am.
We scour the basement looking for any signs of our friends, but find nothing. At least until Clint literally trips over Justin Hammer.
The guy’s unconscious, and pale in a way that doesn’t look healthy.
Immediately, Mr. Yinsen kneels down next to him and checks him over.
“He’s breathing, but it’s shallow. He needs medical attention.” The teacher’s gaze is stern. “James, Janet, and I found the Nurse’s office while we were searching. I’ll take him there.”
“I can go with you” Bruce offers, but Mr. Yinsen holds up a hand. “No, I want you all to stay together. Find the others, then meet us back at the rendezvous point in a hour.”
“Right,” Steve nods. As we watch their teacher take off with Justin in his arms, I can’t help feeling worried.
And by that I mean I’m screaming internally.
Right. Stay calm Steve. You’re in charge. You gotta at least hide your worry.
I stick up my head, and move onward.
Eventually, we find ourselves in the boiler room, and we hear voices. I motion to the others to be quiet as we sneak through. The voices stop as we enter a room, and see Nat, with her leg chained to the wall and Tony...
Tony’s being strung upside down over a large pot.
Ok. Weird, but could be worse.
"Ah, it seems the rest have arrived." A chilling voice says from somewhere in the room. Clint and Sam scream and grab hold of eachother, but I stand my ground
"Who are you,” I definitely don’t stammer, “what are you doing to Tony and Nat?"
I actually manage to not screech when the terrifying lady appears right behind me and puts a bony hand on my shoulder. Yay me, I’m so proud of myself.
"I only wish for you all to suffer, and for his to be especially painful, and delicious." she whispers, and suddenly Tony screams as he starts dropping closer and closer to the pot.
With instincts I didn't even know I have, I grab the circular lid from a nearby garbage can and throw it.
It whizzes past Tony's head, bounces off of the wall, then another, and finally hits the lady in the face, knocking her down, and stopping Tony's descent.
I guess I meant to do that.
"Um right. Okay. She needs to be focused to do her magic. Clint, you and Jan help Nat, everybody else keep the lady busy. I’m going to get Tony down.” The others all nod and get back to work.
Rushing over to the pot, the first thing I do is try to tip it over.
“Steve.” Tony says.
It's really heavy, but Tony’s counting on me.
“Steve.”
I can’t let him down.
“Steve! It’s still on fire doesn’t that hurt?”
I look down and realize that there’s a fire lit under the cauldron and yeah, it is really hot.
But not as hot as it probably should be. Still, I jerk away.
I look at my hands and yeah, they're a little burnt but not something I can’t deal with. They’re already healing in a few places anyway.
“Oh.”
“Yeah, try snuffing out the fire first.” Tony says, misinterpretting my shock. Suddenly the rope drops some more and Tony screams again.
That weird muscle spasm that let me throw the garbage can lid causes me to jump into the air, do a flip, and catch the rope dropping Tony.
I land balanced on the cauldron, and pull Tony into my arms.
“Impressive Cap, when did you start taking acrobatics?”
“I don’t know and- Cap?” Tony’s never called me that before and Tony looks just as confused as I do.
“Uh, just ignore me. I’m not sure how long I was upside down. Probably just woozy from all the blood rushing to my head. Anyway,” and Tony looks up at me and gives a little smile, “Thanks for the save.”
I can feel my face turning beet red. I try to tug on the rope that’s holding Tony, but it doesn’t budge. Looks like I’ll just have to carry Tony while the others deal with the witch.
It’s fine. This is fine.
I can just feel my face turning beet red.
Damn it massive crush on Tony, I thought we had an agreement where you wouldn’t do this to me anymore.
I try to focus on the others fighting the witch.
Looks like Clint and Jan have gotten Nat out, and they’ve all joined in the fight.
The Avengers are all on the defensive though. We don’t have anything that will actually hurt her, and most of us can’t survive more than one direct lightning blast. I mean none of us can, we’re all humans, what am I talking about?
“Yo, Wicked Witch!” Tony shouts. Oh god Tony please don’t antagonize the angry magic lady when we’re standing over a boiling pot of water.
Still, the witch turns to us and growls.
“You!”
“Yeah, guess you didn’t get me after all. Can’t even beat me when I don’t have my toys?” He mocks.
The witch howls and lunges towards us. Somehow I know the exact moment I need to jump to make sure she smacks face first into her own cauldron.
Her screams as she boils are going to haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life.
She finally stops, and a blinding flash of light envelops all of us. A split second later, Tony’s untied, the cauldron’s gone, and Tony is suddenly really heavy.
I put him down on the ground as the others come over to us, clearly very confused.
“So, what just happened?” Clint asks, “I mean I’ve always been awesome but I don’t think I’m usually able to dodge lightning for that long.”
“It’s almost like we were actually that thing she was talking about? The Avengers?” Tony asks, turning to Nat, who gives a nod.
“Yeah. The reason the witch wanted to eat Tony was because another version of him sealed her away with alternate versions of us. Apparently in another life, we’re superheroes.” She explains.
Superheroes, huh?
“So we accidently absorbed our other selves’ superhero skills? Is that even possible?” Rhodey asks, and Sam just shrugs.
“We just fought a witch, and didn’t die. I think it’s definitely something more than just dumb luck.”
“Cooooooool. We have to try that again some time!” Jan squeals. “I want to design all our outfits.”
Everyone laughs and starts to leave, but Tony hangs back.
“Something wrong, Tony?” I ask.
“Um yeah, I just wanted to give you something better. To thank you properly.”
“What-” And suddenly I’m cut off by Tony giving me a kiss on the cheek and running off after the others.
So today, I got transported to a weird alternate dimension, my friend/crush nearly got boiled alive, I got proxy superpowers, and my crush just kissed me.
Weird day.
Not a bad one though, so I start chasing after Tony.
