robert lightwood's character is so crazy like in tmi he's just alec's homophobic dad and then all of sudden your reading his internal monologues about how he doesn't like women and feels like he's performing in nearly every aspect of his life and how weirdly close him and his bestie (who's in love with him) are. like huh.

I'm actually going crazy. I just remembered that Kit saw Michael's ghost when they were having Robert's funeral. Michael loved Robert so much that he stayed with him even in death, even after Robert was terrible to him.

Did you think Alec reminds Robert of Michael

I was reading the Evil We Love and I couldn't help but notice that Michael is very blunt. A lot like Alec in the early part of Malec's relationship. Both of them were described as being blunt but gentle. They are both super straightforward. So what if Robert noticed that? Maybe Robert knew Alec was gay, or at least suspected, due to the similarities between Alec and Michael. I find this so impactful that Robert looked at Alec and saw a chance to do better. To do right by Michael. Idk guys I have feelings rn
