by far one of the most entertaining aspects of we are is that at the beginning none of the characters are technically in the same genre. tan is in an enemies to lovers romcom. fang is in a family romance drama. q is in a slice of life show. toey is in a drama romance with a secret admirer subplot. chain is in a classic friendship sitcom. pun is not aware he's in a show. phum is in a 'traumatized soft protagonist that seems harsh learns to love again' show. peem is in uni.

In the next few, his other parent was at his own side, quickly ushering him away from the scene as the rest of his father’s siblings and the lamb gathered to deal with the matter.

“Look away.” His papa said, but he couldn’t. Not when his brother’s form crumpled in itself, and his cries echoed out in pain.

(I really want to make designs for the lamb, nari, and the bishops. Something that represents them but also looks nice. I’ll think about that later on hahaha)

Watching Satang perform as Sound after having seen him as Toey and Toey only for the past 6 months was definitely the therapy i needed

i started watching We Are and idk, it's such a silly little show with such low stakes and absolutely no understanding of how art in higher education is taught and im having a truly great time. the fact that every one is gay is so funny and so many of the side couples are ridiculous bl tropes, and yet, the actual relationships everyone has with each other are so real??

the friendships and the connections that characters have and build and the ways they develop over the arc of the show is so well done. im only on ep 8 but truly wow. the fact that it feels this poignant even with the incessant cat and dog noises, truly the characterization of this show and it's main couple's chemistry is so good? maybe the general lack of plot is also a core part of what makes this show so good. love watching these silly boys learn how to be in love together and do nothing much else.

q is so funny because he's like super nonchalant about everything when you start the series and then toey does literally anything and this man is suddenly the most chalant person to grace this earth. who gives a shit about logic when toey is batting his cute eyes at him

Been a while since I did a collection of these little preview pictures they post in the morning but why not? And rate them by my expectations of the pairings.

Poor Peem continues to be tormented while Phum is amused and that's why they're my least favorite. If I could rescue Peem, I absolutely would. So unamused, love that for him. 4/10 until Phum apologizes

I love that they're the same, that Toey is smiling but Q is not and yet the vibes are so much better for them and their smiles and the useless queer who changed his major for a crush at a coffee shop. Love that for them. 10/10 adorable

My adoration for them grows and grows. Look at Tan! Look at Fang! They are the absolute ideal of everything. I love them so much. The faces! They're both smiling! Love them forever and ever. 10000/10 the best boys ever

Love them but the vibes still need work. I do adore the disaster gay meets mom gay love story, though, and there is a lot of promise of adorable and the grabbing? 8/10 lots of promise but what will they deliver?
