(the first one was such a waterstealing bastard. He looooved our water glasses and even after getting his own he still wouldn't leave ours alone. We had to bamboozle him and switch his glass with one of ours when he couldn't see just so he'd be finally satisfied with drinking from "our" glasses lmao)

HAZELNOSE — deputy of the Ground Order.

> a sturdy brown and golden molly with green eyes.

One of the Ground Order’s biggest brawlers, alongside Bearcrawl. Hazelnose is largely known as quiet, softspoken, and a little bit secretive. She only really hangs around cats she already knows, rarely branching out— a peculiar trait to have in a deputy. She’s rarely a speaking role, preferring to observe from the background rather than get involved.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Mates with Breezerunner.

Friends with Bearcrawl, Jaggedcliff, and the late Watersting.

A frequent mentor of Frogbounce and Skinkslide— Watersting’s kits— and mourned the former greatly when he died.

Used to be friends with Woodwhisker, before she fell down the right-wing pipeline.

Friend group was everyone in her general age, though it’s thinned out a lot. Even though she’d joined the Order late– being born Unaligned and appealing to the Ground Order in hopes of not starving— she was surprisingly welcomed by siblings Breeze and Dusk, who were within a few moons of her age. Dusk died an unfortunate death to a fisher later, which Hazel and Breeze would then earn their titles by hunting down and killing it.

From then, Hazelnose got to know and get familiar with the warriors not too much her senior, like Jaggedcliff, Woodwhisker, and Watersting. She became distant with Jagged and Wood as they became more politically opposed to her in favor of their father, but she readily accepted Jaggedcliff’s friendship when the wool was pulled from her eyes. Woodwhisker never seemed to wake up though, only growing more extremist in her deputy position; she took to punishing Hazelnose in particular for her Unaligned heritage, something Foxthorn never reprimanded despite allowing Hazel entry to begin with. It was then that her and Woodwhisker’s friendship truly crumbled, to where forgiveness would never be an option even if Wood had died sorry. It also seemed the final straw for Watersting, who broke up with his mate and claimed sole parentage of their kits— Skink and Frog— as a consequence. Hazel and Water grew closer during this time, and she helped to mentor his kits when the time came.

Bonded with Bearcrawl for being tanks of the Order, often sparring together since no one else could compete with their physical prowess.

Her pelt is decorated with witch hazel.

Eerste steenlegging bouw waterstation Cornelis Kondre

Het dorp Cornelis Kondre zal binnenkort 1 x 24 uur schoon drinkwater hebben. Dit is door het management van het Ministerie van Natuurlijke Hulpbronnen (NH) aangegeven tijdens het oriëntatiebezoek dat op 22 maart, Wereldwaterdag, is afgelegd. Gedurende het bezoek aan het dorp te Boven-Coppename, Sipaliwini, heeft de eerstesteenlegging plaatsgevonden voor de bouw van een drinkwaterstation. Het ministerie streeft ernaar om dit project binnen afzienbare periode op te leveren. Onder belangstelling van de gemeenschap heeft ook de onthulling van een naambord plaatsgevonden. Dit is verricht door NH-minister David Abiamofo en kapitein Jules April van het dorp. Aanwezig waren ook, de dc van Boven- Coppename, Erwin Linga, Directeur Water NH, Gonda Asadang alsook functionarissen van de ministeries NH en RO. Tijdens de samenkomst in de recreatiezaal te Cornelis Kondre gaf minister David Abiamofo aan dat de regering zich gecommitteerd heeft aan doel 6 van de SDG’s dat schoon en veilig drinkwater voor eenieder proclameert. In dit kader is het vanuit de ontwikkeling en uitvoering van het Waterbeleid van het ministerie ook de uitermate zorg en verantwoordelijkheid om alle Surinamers, ook dorpsgemeenschappen, de toegang te bieden tot schoon en veilig drinkwater. Echter, kunnen naar zeggen van de NH-bewindsman, niet alle dorpen in een keer van drinkwater worden voorzien. De beschikbaarheid van financiële middelen voor de drinkwatervoorziening blijft een heet hangijzer. “Maar waar een deur dichtgaat, wordt een ander geopend”, geeft Abiamofo aan. Het heractiveren van de Dienst watervoorziening als werkarm van het ministerie in 2020 is in dit verband een cruciale stap geweest om de adequate drinkwatervoorziening aan het binnenland te garanderen. Het in aanbouw zijnde drinkwaterstation zal bestaan uit een filtratie- en zuiveringssysteem, opslag en distributie tanks alsook een kantoorruimte voor monitoring en controlewerkzaamheden. Bij dit project zal ook het waternetwerk worden hersteld en uitgebreid. Er zullen veertig erfkranen in het dorp worden geplaatst. Read the full article

This one was a little tougher to nail down because the original picture was reversed and Barter's Hill Place in the picture on the right doesn't come down this far anymore. Google maps actually still shows the road going right through Mile One Stadium.
