interesting how many arc episodes are shaping up to revolve around this theme of "communication" and things needing to be translated...
croco seijin have their hand sign which ishido thinks is suspicious at first but is later revealed to have a friendly meaning. the mystery girl with homger fails to communicate the reality of the situation and things have to be extrapolated from old texts. yuma's schoolmate establishes an entire friendship through the radio and the alien on the other end learns japanese just to speak to him, though the context of cultural sayings are lost on her. and now there's a two-parter that's primarily about a message from this robotic creature being decoded & having to gauge if the translation is accurate or if maybe we've entirely misunderstood bc of the limits of our language.
since the transmission of a single word to an alien species was how blazar ended it's cool to see that idea sort of form the foundation for the show that follows after.
