I was wondering if you had some sort of a list of long-lenght GL movies from any Asian country. I've either found short films on GagaOOLala, or very few titles at all.

Hi! There are lots of movies and many good lists to find online, especially on Letterboxd. Here are some I’ve watched and would recommend:

Blue (2002), dir. Hiroshi Ando

i think reading the hunger games and already knowing what happens makes the story more tragic, actually. i already know katniss and peeta win. i know what happens to glimmer and rue and everyone else. i know they have to go on in catching fire for the games there. i know what happens to gale and prim. i start the story already knowing the risks and consequences and yet still katniss has no choice but to act on them. all of these people will still die, the capitol still showing them off as entertainment. you know these people are walking into their graves! and you can’t unlearn these things!!!

am i crazy or. would erik absolutely love twilight. unironically. calls it a romance for the ages. owns maybe an unhealthy amount of merch at some point.

because like 1.) erik is a dracula fanboy, it wouldnt be a stretch to say that it could extend to all vampires, and thats how it gets on his radar to begin with 2.) he would absolutely identify with edwards whole "im a monster" vibe (not to mention the killer part) 3.) there is no universe in which he doesnt yearn to be wanted as much as bella wants edward. to be pursued, wanted, loved, despite what he is... what could he wish for more than that?

i keep getting tiktoks of these younger gen z kids referencing a time they did something relating to fandom in public and now they're embarrassed by it and everytime i see one i sit there thinking over all of middle and high school and having genuinely 0 moments that i feel embarrassed by, like i definitely did a lot of shit these kids would be embarrassed by but i think these are all just really fucking funny

my binder i used in 7th grade i had a blue one that looked pretty similar to this for 8th grade but idk where it went, also the parts i scribbled out are my full legal name i had written on it. i wrote it normally and then the big spot is where i wrote my name REALLY BIG in elysian code from the vladimir tod books. also the lines are from when i used an exacto knife to cut up some papers and forgot that my binder was underneath

in conclusion yall can now see why im so shameless about talking about shigaraki the way i do

Being a bush baby is all about growing up and realizing how anti government Americans were when you were born and you didn't know about any of it bc all the adults in your life were apolitical or conservative and you're not young enough for it to be in the history books yet

It's crazy how even in my high school U.S. history class when like 2000-2006 was in the textbook the teacher just completely glossed over it because she assumed we would know... we were barely born then and no one had formally taught us about it

Forget about gritting your teeth through someone's media analysis that is egregiously incorrect. Some character/story analyses I see on here are literally just verbatim re-tellings of what happened in the story - the literal things you are supposed to understand, and the connections you're supposed to make to get what is happening - and they're phrased as crazy theories or analyses. And I just want to scream, because no, you're not weird or 'reaching' for coming to that conclusion, that is quite literally the exact thing the story was trying to tell you. You are stating blatant fact as some incredible discovery. Like that person who thought Lucy Gray Baird saying she was 'going to find Katniss' was "an accident" or maybe they were crazy. But I guess everyone's gotta start somewhere, even if you think saying 'did anyone else ever realise that Darth Vader's theme plays when Anakin does something evil???' is some mind-blowing observation. Like, shit, in a world where media literacy is so sorely lacking, quite literally witnessing a story and noticing details of it is considered analysis. Whatever.

something that’s actually pissed me off lowkey w some of my irl friends recently (and this is actually like just a stupid rant lol idk) is they like. refuse to read adult fiction now??? i’ll try to recommend books (and im talking like. books that are very up their alley. or even are YA/YA adjacent! just not from when we were twelve!) they’re like “oh idk im just gonna reread divergent.” which like. is fine. but they’re dragging everyone else along w them? like my old roommates just made one of our friends reread all of harry potter. they’re all 23!!!!!! like hello. even ignoring the *hand waves* everything abt that. they won’t watch new movies, they won’t read new books, it’s so. i was like oh you would really like this book, i actually own it i could lend it to you! etc etc to one friend and she was like oh well im actually rereading the hunger games series rn… and then i promised [friend] i’d reread percy jackson… and it’s like. this is why there are no new ip movies……. you can like what you like!!! but why is the only regular large hangout of our college friends someone getting several ppl to reread all of fucking harry potter and then watching each movie when they’ve finished that book. i don’t go ! bc jkr is fucking evil and it’s stupid ! and every time we hang out otherwise it’s like making fun of the one friend for not finishing it fast enough or talking abt what movie’s next etcetc and it’s like oh my god. can you please experience something new
