If you will indulge me, this is the life of Phoebe (hogwarts legacy MC) before she was discovered as a witch:

Phoebe grew up in village near Bakewell, Derbyshire

Her father works at the post office, and her mother works in the local cotton mill. They are a close knit family and Bee is both a mummy AND daddy's girl

Her family are not well off, and Phoebe is expected to leave school at 15 to help provide, even though her parents wish she could stay in education

Sensitive only child energy

Missing baby teeth ALWAYS

Plays football with her best friend on the dales, even though only boys are allowed to play sports

(football was stolen from an annoying boy at school, but she will cry if her crime is ever discovered)

Often gets in trouble / is caned (it is the 1880s folks) for being too curious for her own good

Can manipulate fire?? When she's emotional?? How can that be??

Once her parents go to bed, she ignites a candle and reads a book she's borrowed from someone in the village (it might be fiction or something mundane like the train station manual, it doesn't matter)

Tall girl her WHOLE life

Her chalk board goes with her EVERYWHERE

Her clothes are always fraying because she's always rushing and pays no mind to how wild her hair gets

Everyone in the village says she's 'away with the fairies'

I am continuing my current Xeno-train of thought with learning another character, this time it's my favorite male character, chaos.

I feel like I got him down pat with his Episode I look because it's just absolutely perfect, but everything else I was experimenting more with his range in expression as the later games fiddled around with that... As in, I will not forgive what they did to him in Episode II. :(

The ahoge is the last remaining source of his powers (and feelings).

Otherwise I mean for his face to look the face with each design.

#see what happened is that chaos' ahoges got lost in The Incident #(read as: when kos-mos had to save everyone from impacting with second miltia's atmosphere)#so now he is buffering throughout that entire game #such is the way I choose to interpret the design choices #(except that outfit. I can't say I like the color. *sob* )#why did they do him like that #anywho I may have made him look a bit bappy with my initial takes but #that could also be due to me focusing on episode i's proportions more #doodle-daas #xenosaga #chaos #jin uzuki #canaan #(that's supposed to be him you can't tell eh?)#I'm also not sure how much you can tell but chaos' design is a decent portion of my inspiration for alto's design #what with the undergarment accompanied with a minimum attire that also completes his overall body shape

just finished www #23: on your way, and i have many thoughts. all of them make me want to cry.

ame knowing as soon as she got back to the cottage that her actions had burned a bridge, not just with the citadel but with one of her best friends, and yet still needing to complete her tasks as the witch of the world's heart. the spirits she awakens so as not to leave the cottage untended or unprotected, and the way she asks and does not take. the note she leaves, should her friends make it there.

eursulon in the fire, followed by the man in black, who is a brother in the way all spirits are brethren, but not the sibling eursulon seeks. leaving through the burrow, fighting monstrosities, and seeing the citadel raze cities to ruin beside a jungle of rot. finding the tree. his tree. the tree that is emblazoned on his shield, his coat of arms, what he fights to protect. and inside... his sister. a family she made for herself.

and suvi. hurt but still afraid that ame will die if she stays. determined to not let that happen. conversations with steel where she says that another wizard said that the wizard sly lied, or did not tell the full truth. commiseration, but suvi holds back the full truth, and suspects steel of doing the same. an airship to fly north. to protect ame, yes. but the mage armor mean that no creature or spirit or witch will ever be able to touch her again. broken trust, if not broken love.

and through it all, the thread that the citadel represents a threat to the world's heart itself, and to all spirits beyond. the council of elders wishes to neutralize that threat. grandmother wren did not.

questions moving forward: what is the true purpose of the war on gaothmai being waged by the empire? why does kalaya's family look like suvi? is suvi going to have a villain arc? i have my theories, but i'll get into those in other posts.

thank you to the worlds beyond number cast and crew for giving us this incredible story. i'm so excited to see where you take us next.
