The past few weeks had been a blur of rehearsals, late nights, and fleeting glimpses of Vi. By the time you made it home, she’d already be fast asleep, and when morning came, she’d be gone before you even opened your eyes. Those rare moments you did catch together felt stolen, like precious little secrets between the two of you. You’d talk about your days, holding each other close, exploring every inch of each other’s presence, but somehow, just as things heated up, one of you would inevitably get called away for work.
It wasn’t enough. You missed her—terribly. And yet, that aching longing became the heartbeat of your creativity. That yearning transformed into fuel for the song you were creating, a song meant for your solo debut at the AMAs.
The announcement of the performance had already sent fans into a frenzy. It was a rare honor to debut a completely new song at an awards show, and the excitement surrounding it was palpable. The title alone had everyone speculating about its meaning. The CEO had chosen you for this monumental moment, trusting you to carry the weight of the group's reputation, and your members had been nothing but supportive.
Still, you made sure to include them in the process. They lent their voices to the background harmonies, and they even worked with you on the beats, but the lyrics—those were yours. Every word was stitched together with the emotions you’d been bottling up during those weeks apart from Vi.
One evening, you sat in the recording studio, replaying the track over and over, making sure it was perfect. Mel leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, listening intently as your voice filled the room. When the final note faded, she walked over, a soft smile on her face.
“This song is beautiful, (Y/N),” she said, her voice full of sincerity. “She’s gonna love it.”
Her words hit you like a warm embrace, and you felt a lump rise in your throat. You turned to her, unable to hold back the smile spreading across your face. Without thinking, you wrapped your arms around her in a tight hug.
“Thank you,” you whispered, your voice trembling just slightly with gratitude.
Mel pulled back, her hands on your shoulders. “No, seriously. It’s perfect. It’s you. She’ll feel everything you want her to.”
You nodded, her reassurance settling deep in your chest. This wasn’t just a song. It was your heart, your longing, your love, poured into every line. And when Vi finally heard it, you hoped she’d feel it all—the missing, the wanting, the love you didn’t always get the chance to say aloud.
As the clock struck noon on the day of your performance, your solo song Picture You was officially released across all streaming platforms. It was an intense, hauntingly beautiful track about a girl so consumed by her love for another that it bordered on desperation. The accompanying music video told a dark, gripping story, with you cast as a stalker pursuing a woman handpicked by a casting agent. The theme was bold, unexpected, and raw—exactly what you wanted it to be.
Vi had erased her entire schedule just so she could listen to the song and watch the video as soon as it dropped. You weren’t there to witness her reaction; you were tied up with last-minute rehearsals and outfit tests, ensuring every detail for your live performance was flawless. Still, you found yourself thinking of her, wondering what she thought, hoping she felt the depth of your artistry—and your feelings for her.
During a quick break, your phone buzzed with an incoming call. The moment you saw her name on the screen, a grin spread across your face.
“I love it,” Vi said the second you answered, her voice full of excitement. “I had to watch it with Vander, Jinx, and Ekko, which was…awkward, but I loved every second of it.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, imagining her sitting through such an intimate video with them in the room. “I’m glad you liked it,” you said softly. “I love you, Vi. I meant every single word.”
“I love you too, baby,” she replied, her voice dipping into that affectionate tone that made your heart flutter. “I can’t wait for you to get home...”
Her words sent a shiver down your spine, and you bit your lip at the thought of what was waiting for you later. “I’ll make sure my phone is on DND when I get home then,” you teased, keeping your voice light even as your cheeks heated. “Make sure you watch the performance, please.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Vi said with a chuckle. “I’ll be glued to the screen. Oh! Say hi to Bruno Mars for me and tell him I’m a big fan!”
You groaned, rolling your eyes playfully. “Oh my gosh… Bye, love you,” you said, laughter bubbling in your chest as you hung up.
Even as the call ended, your smile lingered. She loved it, and that was all you needed to hear.
When you arrived at the AMA red carpet, the sight of fans cheering loudly behind the installed gates was both overwhelming and heartwarming. They waved banners, shouted your name, and held out pens and memorabilia for autographs. You smiled and waved back, your stunning pink gown immediately catching everyone’s attention.
The dress was an elegant masterpiece—a strapless blush-pink gown that fit perfectly, draped with soft, flowing fabric. The bodice hugged your frame with intricate ruching, cascading down to a long train adorned with delicate pink floral appliqués. The gradient effect of light pink blending into white at the hem added a dreamy touch, while the sheen of the fabric glimmered under the camera flashes. Your hair was styled in a neat bun, complementing the soft, romantic vibe of your look, and your silver jewelry sparkled just enough to accentuate the outfit without overpowering it.
As you approached the gates, you gestured to your team for permission to greet the fans. They nodded, and you made your way toward them, signing autographs and chatting briefly with those who had been waiting for hours.
“You’re so pretty!” one fan exclaimed.
You smiled warmly and said, “Thank you so much. Don’t stay out here too long, okay? Go get something to eat and rest. I love you all!” After a final wave, you headed toward the main red carpet area, where the photographers and celebrities awaited.
Once you reached the carpet, the glitz and glamour of the event left you momentarily starstruck. Celebrities you’d admired for years surrounded you, and flashes from cameras illuminated the entire scene. You were trying to take it all in when a soft, familiar voice broke through your thoughts.
“(Y/N)!”
You turned to see a blonde woman smiling warmly at you. It was Ariana Grande. Your heart skipped a beat. “Oh my…hi. You’re so much more ethereal in person,” you blurted, trying to keep your composure.
Ariana chuckled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Oh my gosh, thank you so much. So are you! And you’re so talented. I saw your music video—just beautiful, love.”
You beamed at her compliment, feeling your cheeks heat up. “Thank you so much,” you replied. Then, gathering your courage, you added, “Let’s take a picture together.”
Ariana agreed enthusiastically, and the two of you made your way to the photo area. You posed together, sharing a few laughs, before taking some individual shots. Soon, more celebrities began joining in, creating a star-studded group. Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé, Bruno Mars, and others gathered, all smiling and chatting as the cameras captured the iconic moment.
After a whirlwind of flashes and poses, everyone began to disperse, thanking and complimenting you as they moved along. Spotting Bruno Mars as he turned to leave, you quickly stepped forward, remembering Vi.
“Hi, Bruno!” you called out, catching his attention. He turned back with a charming smile.
“Hey there,” he said.
“So, my girlfriend Violet is a huge fan of yours,” you began, your excitement bubbling up. “Can I get a picture for her?”
Bruno grinned. “Well, I’m a big fan of your girlfriend. She shreds on the ice! And of course.”
You felt your heart swell with pride as you gestured for Steb to grab your phone. Bruno stood beside you, and Steb snapped a picture of the two of you together.
“Thank you so much,” you said, grinning ear to ear.
“No problem at all,” Bruno replied with a wink before walking away, leaving you with a memory Vi was sure to cherish.
When you got inside and sat at your designated seat, your team settled beside you, radiating excitement and encouragement. The atmosphere buzzed with energy as the event began. The host charmed the audience, delivering witty and lighthearted jokes, including a few about your song and your relationship with Vi. You couldn’t help but laugh along, feeling proud that your story had become something that brought smiles to others.
As the night progressed, you were captivated by the performances of your favorite celebrities. Each act seemed to outdo the last, keeping you on the edge of your seat. But soon, it was time for your own performance, and you had to slip backstage to prepare. Even though you missed a few sets, you sang along to the music playing faintly in the background while getting dressed.
Your costume was an absolute show-stopper—a corset-style piece in deep magenta satin, adorned with intricate lace and floral appliqués. Delicate pearls were draped across the bodice and skirt, adding a touch of opulence. The ruffled hem and garters gave it a bold, theatrical flair, perfectly matching the playful yet sultry aesthetic of your performance. As your stylist adjusted the final details, you held the glittery pink microphone in your hand, taking deep breaths to calm your nerves.
When it was your turn, you stepped onto the heart-shaped platform, surrounded by your band, all dressed in matching shades of pink to complement your look. The stage design was everything you’d envisioned: a dreamy sea of pink hues with glittering lights that mimicked the vibrancy of Vi’s hair—a deliberate tribute to her.
As the lights dimmed and the first notes of your song played, the stage was bathed in a soft pink glow. Your heart pounded so hard you thought it might leap out of your chest, but as soon as you began singing, the anxiety melted away. Everything was perfect—the sound, the aesthetic, the energy from the crowd. The audience roared with applause as your voice filled the arena, blending seamlessly with the dreamy atmosphere you’d created.
When the song ended, the cheers and clapping were deafening. You stood at the center of the stage, your chest heaving as you caught your breath. As the camera zoomed in on you, you raised your hand and formed a V sign with your fingers, then followed it up with a heart gesture. It was subtle but unmistakable—a quiet nod to Vi, who was likely watching and cheering you on.
As you walked off the stage, adrenaline coursed through your veins. You knew this was a moment you’d never forget—a perfect harmony of art, love, and expression.
When you got back to your seat, you had changed into a stunning yet practical outfit. It was another corset ensemble, but this time in shimmering white satin. The sleek design was paired with delicate sheer gloves, pearl accents around your waist, and garters that added a touch of elegance. The dress was much easier to move in, allowing you to enjoy the rest of the event comfortably while still turning heads.
The anticipation in the room grew as it was time for the awards segment. You were nominated for Best New Solo Artist, and your group was up for Best New Group. You sat at the edge of your seat, fingers crossed tightly, heart racing with excitement.
When your name was announced as the winner of Best New Solo Artist, the crowd erupted into applause. You stood, stunned, before making your way to the stage. As you took the mic and looked out at the sea of faces cheering for you, emotion overwhelmed you.
“Oh my god… I don’t even know what to say,” you began, voice slightly shaky but full of gratitude. “The other artists nominated for this award are truly talented, truly wonderful, and it’s crazy that I won over them.” You took a deep breath, collecting yourself.
“I want to thank my family, my team, my boss, my group members, the artists who have inspired me, and my fans—oh my god, I love you guys so much!” you said, smiling widely. “And most importantly, my girlfriend, who inspired these lyrics. I love you so much.” Your voice softened as you added, “I love everyone I mentioned. Thank you guys!”
The audience cheered and clapped as you left the stage, the weight of the moment sinking in as you returned to your seat.
Later, when your group was announced as the winner of Best New Group, you were chosen to accept the award on behalf of your bandmates. The applause was thunderous as you took the stage again, holding the award proudly.
“On behalf of my group, I just want to say thank you so much,” you began. “We’ve worked so hard to get here—countless hours of practice, laughter, and even tears. But every moment has been worth it because we have each other and because of all of you who support us. This award is proof of the bond we share as a group, and it’s proof of the love our fans have given us. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
Looking out at the crowd, you smiled warmly. “We promise to keep growing, to keep making music that you love, and to always stay true to who we are. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
The applause was deafening as you held up the award, a wide smile on your face as you exited the stage, proud of both your solo success and the recognition of your group’s journey.
After the AMAs, the glitz and glamour of the night felt like a distant memory as you decided to skip the afterparty. It wasn’t your scene tonight. All you wanted was to be with Vi before it got too late. The thought of seeing her made you smile as you headed home, already feeling the comfort of her presence waiting for you.
Once home, you slipped into something cozy—a hoodie, sweatpants, and your favorite pair of Uggs. The awards, the lights, and the excitement were behind you now, and all that mattered was winding down with her. As you carried your bags inside, you heard something familiar playing softly from the bedroom.
Your song.
A grin crept onto your face as you dropped your bags by the door and made your way to the bedroom, curiosity bubbling in your chest. Pushing the door open, you saw Vi lounging on the bed, her phone in hand. She was watching the live recording of your performance, her lips curled into an amused smile as she tapped back to rewatch the part she clearly loved most.
“The real thing is here, you know,” you teased, leaning against the doorway.
Vi’s head snapped up at the sound of your voice, her face lighting up as her eyes met yours. “Well, well,” she said, placing her phone on the nightstand. “If it isn’t the star of the night.”
You laughed softly, but before you could say more, she stood and crossed the room in two strides, pulling you into a hug. Her arms wrapped securely around you, her warmth instantly chasing away the lingering adrenaline from the night.
She gently guided you back to the bed, pulling you down with her, pinning you beneath her as her weight settled comfortably against you. Her face hovered inches from yours, her signature smirk making your heart flutter.
“Hey, beautiful,” she said softly, her voice low and filled with affection.
“Hi,” you whispered back before closing the gap, kissing her deeply. Her lips were warm and familiar, grounding you in the moment as the chaos of the night melted away. You were finally home.
Vi’s hands stayed firmly on your waist as you lay beneath her, the warmth of her body pressing against yours. “You did really well with your speeches,” she murmured, her tone soft and genuine. “You looked so gorgeous. I couldn’t look away.”
Her words made your cheeks flush, and you couldn’t help but smile. “You’re just saying that,” you teased, but Vi’s unwavering gaze told you otherwise.
She tilted her head slightly, her fingers brushing a strand of hair from your face. “I mean it,” she said firmly.
You leaned up to give her a gentle kiss, letting your lips linger for a moment before pulling away to press another kiss to her neck. She shivered under your touch, her grip tightening around you.
“Oh, I almost forgot,” you said, breaking the moment as you reached into the pocket of your hoodie to grab your phone. Vi let out a frustrated sound but rolled off of you to let you sit up.
Before you could unlock your phone, she caught your wrist and tugged it away, making you drop the device onto the bed. Her grip was firm yet careful as her eyes burned into yours, her breathing a little heavier now.
“Fuck, I need you so bad,” she said in a low, husky voice, her lips already crashing into yours before you could respond.
Her kiss was searing, filled with hunger and need, her hands finding their way back to your waist as she pulled you close. Her body pressed against yours with urgency, her passion leaving you breathless. Nothing else mattered in that moment—no awards, no afterparties, no photos. Just her.

acting like you’re some woke person just because you advocate for middle aged women to be lifeless on the internet is not the flex you think it is 💀
You seem rather passionate about this so I’m going to indulge your ask to let you know three things:
Writing is a hobby that gets better with age, life experience, and practice. The best pieces of writing objectively come from older people and I’m not talking about fanfiction. I mean books and literature. I’m serious—go look at some of the most well known pieces of literature and then search up the ages of their authors during the years they were published. You’ll find the older writers tend to bust out bangers and this principle is very much applicable to fics too by default. Also writing fanfic is not “lifeless” lol. Some of you act like writing fanfic is juvenile compared to a novel and it’s rly not that different from writing an original piece of fiction. Sure, sometimes fanfic can be a little less on the conventional side in terms of technique. But genuinely the concept of putting characters into situations to create a plot is literally the main thing on both sides here and if you think writing fanfic is silly, it makes 0 sense to hold creative writing to some pedestal. Some fanfic writers demonstrate AMAZING original world building skills especially if they write au’s that diverge from canon and I think you are out of your mind if you think this hobby is not oftentimes an impressive one rather than “lifeless”
Being 30+ doesn’t automatically mean you must/do have a family and kids but I’ll still indulge that point and say you can easily balance a work and personal life while also having a hobby. I know middle aged men who dedicate more time to hobbies like hunting and fishing than middle aged women do with writing. One actually requires you to leave your house and family behind and the other you can do from the comfort of your home and tend to your family should you need to. I think the nature of your opinion only stems from a misogynistic view on aging women but that’s another can of worms
People don’t stop consuming and enjoying things as soon as they hit their third decade of living. If that’s your viewpoint on life, you’re going to set yourself up for a very miserable time once you hit 30. If you’re already 30+ then you’re a hypocrite by default by even being here in the first place lol. Also, life is literally so fucking silly okay? You wake up, work, pay taxes, and try to get by with what is usually an underpaid paycheck. Just fucking enjoy your life and let others enjoy theirs okay? If a 30 year old likes anime, then that is literally so god damn harmless I cannot stress enough how unimportant that is. There are 30 year olds out there doing heinous things in their free time and you choose to be bothered by someone who happens to produce an assortment of words from time to time. Please reevaluate your priorities
All things aside I cannot convince you that being 30+ and enjoying fandom and fanfic is not weird unless you really just realize that it’s not weird. Idk how old you are but I assume you’re younger than 30 because no 30 year old would be on fandom tumblr and then bash others for it. But regardless, just because you think something is weird doesn’t mean it’s bad. It is literally the most harmless thing I do not understand why you would care so much, just move on???? When you think someone dresses weird in real life do you go point it out to them??? No you think it to yourself and move tf on—and if you would voice it to them then you are literally a rude individual. Plain and simple. Rude and disrespectful and I would suggest you again, reevaluate. And it’s the same principle here. You just move on. If you seriously cannot be convinced that this is normal and just absolutely are dead set on believing that 30+ year olds who enjoy fandom are weird, fine. But just keep it to yourself it is the bare minimum you can do to be a decent person I cannot stress this enough to you
And one more thing. The people who are writing the mangas and animes you enjoy so much are middle aged. Older than 30/40. Grown people who might even have families and kids. Creativity has no age limit it is just a small joy that people indulge in at any age and it’s a very nice thing when they share it for others to enjoy, as well. Please just enjoy someone’s art and live a little. I promise you will be much happier and peaceful if you just read a good fic without worrying about the age of whoever produced it. I guarantee you a lot of the BEST fics you’ll read will come from the older writers they are literally doing you a favor if you happen to enjoy reading fanfic. Why bite the hand that feeds you?
#my asks#i really didn’t want to answer this because I think this ask#was sent with the intention to get a reaction#however I think that in general a lot of you view fanfiction as a juvenile thing to enjoy/partake in#therefore you think that older people who participate in the consumption/creation of fanfic are also juvenile/weird#and I think you should really abandon that opinion unless you think creativity as a whole is something that is meant for people in their 20#your opinion seriously becomes applicable to most creative outlets and then you essentially strip 30+ year olds of creativity as a whole#and that is just a very weird way of viewing the world idk#I would suggest being a little less uptight about fun and it’s so called constraints

Masterlist
.......................................................
Cregan held out his hand to help his very pregnant wife out of the carriage.
He absolutely hated riding by carriage. It seemed pointless when you could ride a horse instead. But when summoned to King's Landing by King Viserys with his Targaryen wife to join the rest of her family, he had to guarantee her safety on the travel by any means necessary.
Alicent's face lit up at the sight of her daughter, practically running over Cregan to get to her. She embraced the pregnant woman tightly, "Oh, my love! How you've changed!"
Y/n hugged her mother back just as firmly with a smile, "I've missed you, mother."
Alicent pulled away and admired her grown girl, "King's Landing is better with you here." Only then did Alicent notice Cregan, "Oh. Lord Stark."
Cregan bowed his head politely, "My queen."
"Cregan has been eager to see King's Landing again," Y/n chirped in, "He has only been a few times."
Alicent's brows lifted, "Really? I wouldn't have thought that."
He nodded, "I could've been patient enough to wait until after the birth, but alas, when the King calls, you answer."
Alicent gave a forced smile, "Right. Of course. The birth." She looked to her daughter, "How far along are you, my dear?"
"Nearing eight moons now," she said nervously with a hand on her swollen stomach.
Alicent didn't miss the equally nervous and protective look in Cregan's eyes.
…
Dinner that night was beyond tense.
What was joy for Viserys was misery for everyone else.
Watching the king decay at the table and the rest of them squabble over trivial matters that seemed of great importance.
"A toast to the young princes and their betrothed."
Aegon leaned over to his nephew Jace, "Well done, Jace. You'll finally get to lie with a woman."
A glare was sent his way by Jace and Baela.
Y/n caught on and quickly looked to Aemond, who sipped his wine with no reaction.
"You do know how the act is done, I assume?" Aegon continued. "At least, in principle. Where to put your cock and all that?"
Jace's jaw clenched, "You can play the jester if you wish, but hold your tongue before my betrothed."
"Aegon." Y/n hissed through her teeth across the table.
His head immediately snapped to his sister in annoyance, "What?"
"Let it alone."
He scoffed lightly, "What do you mean? I'm only asking." He gained a grin, "It's not like I have to ask Lord Stark that. Look at the state of you!" He gestured to her swollen belly.
Cregan's grip on his fork tightened, turning his knuckles white.
She placed a hand over her stomach and grimaced, "At least I was able to find a husband that wanted me. Mother had to force you to marry the only girl around, and that was Helaena."
Aegon gave an incredible glare, one that his sibling shot back.
Aemond became amused.
"Let us not fight at the table," Alicent reprimanded lightly.
Y/n looked to Jace, who gave a small nod of gratitude.
Silence filled the room until the King's long monologue of the need for peace in the house.
Rhaenyra and Alicent gave small and seemingly back-handed toasts but Y/n was too set on the continuous mischievous look in her brother's eye.
And she called it right when he stood and moved to whisper in Baela's ear.
It was clear that it was muttered with the intention of riling up Jace, which it did quite well.
He stood up in anger, slamming his fist on the table.
Cregan, who had remained entirely silent thus far, instinctually moved a hand across his wife as if shielding her and the child.
The tense toasts only got worse from there.
Luckily, the music seemed to drown out the intensity, as well as Jace's good gesture of faith in dancing with Helaena.
Y/n leaned over to Aemond, "Brother."
His brow raised as his eye traveled to look at her.
"It has been… long since I've seen you. I see you've faired quite well."
He hummed lightly, "I see you've… managed."
She could feel Cregan's intense gaze from behind her, "Wh…what do you mean?"
Aemond smirked and leaned in to where only the two Starks could hear him, "Inpregnanted by a brute-"
Cregan's jaw clenched so hard he feared for his teeth. His voice was a hushed whisper, but still held furiously to it, "Watch your words."
Y/n held Cregan's shoulder, "Let us not do this here."
Aemond smirked with Cregan sighed and leaned back in his chair.
When Viserys was escorted from the room due to his pain, Y/n decided to leave as well, and Cregan behind her.
They claimed a pregnancy illness and Rhaenyra smirked, knowing she'd used the same card many times.
…
Cregan helped her into bed, "I don't understand their need to crawl under everyone's skin like beetles."
She sighed, "They've never known life outside of a castle, Cregan. They've never been told no, and they never will. It's best to let it go."
"They mock us both. My name has been through dirt, blood, and tears, and I do not care, but yours?" He scoffed, "I will not stand by the next time you are mocked."
"It is only for a little while longer," she rebutted.
"Know that I do this for you, and only you, my love."
She smiled, "That's all I ask."
…
"The north has done a number on you, really," Aegon said as he appeared at her side.
She tilted her head, "I don't know what you mean."
He shrugged, "You're…" he then gestured his arms widely. "I dunno… well indulged?"
She pushed down the tears that welled up in her eyes, "Why do you care?"
He scoffed and leaned in towards her, "You know how many friends of mine asked for whores that looked like you? Many."
"And?"
"And?" He asked mockingly. "And? Who wants to fuck a whore that looks like you now?"
Her jaw went slack for a moment, completely shocked by his words.
Finally, with now watery eyes, she spoke. "You're the worst kind of man, Aegon."
"Oh? And what kind is that?"
A sudden punch came from nowhere, landing on Aegon's jaw and sending him to the ground.
Cregan stood over the man's body, a predatory look in his eyes and a murderous tone in his voice, "One that can't defend his fucking words."
Y/n pulled Cregan back, "Stop!"
He wanted to fight against her, but he knew better. His shoulders rolled back and he stood tall.
She cursed under her breath as she took in exactly what had unfolded, "They could have your head for this, Cregan."
"Only if your brother wishes to defend his words against me again," Cregan scoffs as he looks down at the man.
Aegon sits up and huffs, wiping his nose that begins to leak blood. "Northern brute-"
"-Aegon!" She reprimands.
Cregan glared at Aegon for a while, then scoffed and walked off a few steps to calm himself.
Aegon stands on shaky legs as he glares at his sister, "I liked you better when you lacked a guard dog."
Cregan immediately turned back to the man with a look that said he was ready to murder him. As he stepped forward, Aegon stepped back as he began to regret his words.
"Take me to our chambers, Cregan," she lightly pleaded.
The wolf of the north only stared for a while before nodding, "Lead the way."
She sighed as she gave a final look to her brother. "Clean yourself up. You look like shit."
…
Standing behind Rhaenyra, Y/n and Cregan whispered idly to Daemon when someone would comment something out of hand.
Luke's legitimacy was coming into question, and though the Starks knew the truth, they would not dare pry the inheritance from the boy's hands. That was not their place. So next to Daemon they stood as petitions were made to and against him.
Daemon leaned in to speak to Y/n, "how far along did you say you were?"
"Eight moons now," she whispered back.
Daemon let out a surprised grunt. "You're to have the child here then? That seems unlike you."
"Uncle, my father insisted I come, and I have. Whether the child is born in the North or the South, it is a Targaryen and Stark all the same."
He smiled lightly, "I suppose you're right. If you wish for someone to accompany Lord Stark to the dragon pit to choose a proper egg for the child, only say the word."
Cregan, who had been listening quietly, now leaned in, "I am to choose an egg?"
"It is tradition," she explained. "It can be before, during, or after the birth, but the father chooses the egg. If… If you would wish to continue that tradition."
He grinned, "I'd be delighted to try."
When Vaemond Valaryon stepped up forward to speak his mind, the Starks quieted.
He spoke in anger, trying to take Luke's right.
Y/n looked past him to her mother and siblings.
Aegon looked like he'd rather be doing anything else. He didn't care the outcome of this ordeal. Aemond watched intensely with his one eye, taking in every detail. And Helaena… sweet Helaena.
She needed to visit her and the children soon.
"And her children are…" Vaemond paused.
The room stilled.
"Say it," Daemon whispered under his breath.
"Her children are BASTARDS!" He screamed.
Y/n jumped back in surprise as Cregan's steady hands caught her waist.
"And she. Is. a. Whore." Vaemond finished.
The air in the room stilled and became stuffy as the tension reached an all time high.
Viserys stood on unstable legs as he unsheathed his dagger, "I will have… your tongue for this."
A sudden slice moved through the air, and half of Vaemond's head was gone.
Blood splattered across the ones' nearest, meaning the Starks. Cregan let out an annoyed grunt.
"He can keep his tongue," Daemon said proudly as he lowered his sword.
Y/n rested a hand over her swollen stomach with a shaky hand, trying to ignore the blood that began to seep into her clothes.
Cregan leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Are you alright?"
"I… I want to go," she shuddered back.
He nodded, looking around as the crowd began to whisper amongst themselves. He held a hand firmly against her back as she became to let out an uncomfortable whine.
"Cregan, please," she whispered.
"Alright. Alright, let's go, my love," he said as he tried to move her through the crowd.
But her legs faltered as she let out a pained noise.
He caught her in panic, "Are you in pain?"
"The babe…"
No longer caring for proper manners, Cregan stood tall and looked over the crowd. "MOVE!" He yelled out.
The people quieted and moved as Cregan helped his wife through the room and out of the doors.
Alicent only saw a brief glimpse of her daughter's silver hair go through the doors, and she was on edge. She ran through the crowd to follow behind them.
He held onto his wife's arm with one hand and held her waist with the other, trying to support her as they moved to their chambers.
Y/n let out a gasp, and her water broke.
Alicent caught up to them and grabbed her daughter's other arm. "It's alright. You're alright." She turned to a servant and ordered him to get the maester.
Sweat began to break out of the poor woman's forehead as the weight of what is happening began to settle.
Once on her bed, Cregan refused to move from her side, Alicent as well. Alicent rubbed soothingly across her daughter's forehead as Cregan paced at the foot of the bed.
The maester and midwives came quickly, immediately moving to the woman in labor.
"My lord, it is best if you remain outside," one of them said.
Cregan's brows furrowed in confusion. "Out… Outside?"
Alicent chipped in, "It is tradition. The husband waits outside of the doors."
He stared at Y/n in thought. Tradition. How that word weighed on them like boulders.
"Alright."
…
He tried to ignore the sounds of her cries as he stood in the corridor.
Nothing could ease his worries.
In the North, it was not uncommon to be by their wife's side.
This was unusual to him.
"My lord," a midwife questioned as she poked her head from the room.
His eyes widened, "Is she alright?"
"The child is… having trouble, my lord."
That was Cregan's greatest fear. The maester in Winterfell had spent endless hours with Cregan to determine a plan for if such a thing were to occur. Now he was without a plan entirely.
"Alright?" He finally breathed.
"What do you wish for us to do?"
"What options do I have?" He spoke barely above a whisper.
The midwife gave him an empathetic look. "We can cut the child out-"
"-No." He was quick with his answer, the very thought of taking a blade to her seeming the greatest sin he could commit.
"Um… it will be painful, but we can help her force the child out."
"Is that safe for her?"
The midwife shrugged lightly, "More than any other option I can give you."
He nodded.
She gave a weak smile and moved back into the room, but Cregan caught the door before it closed and forced his way in.
At the sight of his wife, he felt as if a blade went into his own stomach.
She was crying in pain, the midwives forcing her hips down as she tried to move away from the pain, as if that was possible.
At the sight of him, her entire face relaxed, "Cregan…"
He moved to her side, "I'm here. How can I help?"
Alicent glared slightly at him.
"They won't… I can't…" Y/n whimpered out.
"They won't what?" He looked up to Alicent, "What are they doing?"
"She wishes to get up. We cannot have her standing," she explained.
Cregan was thrown off by that. "She cannot? W… Why ever not?" When in labor with him, Cregan's mother was said to have walked the length of Winterfell 3x over.
"It hurts… please, Cregan…"
He nodded as his expression hardened. "Let her stand."
The maester shook his head, "She is nearing the labor. She should not-"
"-She wishes to stand. She will stand."
Alicent spoke up. "Lord Stark-"
"-This is my wife and child. If she wishes to walk, then she will," he barked.
A fire lit behind the queen's eyes. "She will not."
The midwives watched the tension grow.
Finally, Cregan calmly reached down and began to help his wife sit up.
Alicent cursed under her breath and grabbed Cregan's wrist in an effort to stop him.
Cregan's eyes slowly moved up to Alicent's face as anger began to overcome him.
But she was first to speak. "You are no longer in the North. You abide by our traditions when you are here."
He'd heard enough of that word for a lifetime.
His words came out sharper than he intended, but he cared little to soften them. "Your family is made of vipers and cutthroats. When I take my wife and child back to Winterfell, it will truly be a miracle if you ever see them again, for I will not let her sit and be neglected and tormented. I am a brute, but I am not without heart. Now, Let. Go."
Alicent reluctantly let go.
Cregan helped Y/n sit, and she immediately felt relief. "I want to walk," she panted.
He nodded, practically holding her up as she stood. "We will walk the corridor and return." His voice had no room for argument.
Once they paced the corridor a few times, she was returned to the bed, only to find that Alicent had left. Cregan only cared about it when he noticed the tinge of sadness that moved over his laboring wife.
But he was quick to fill the gap. As she moved back to the bed, Cregan sat behind her and held her against his chest, messaging anywhere that began to ache.
The labor came soon after that. Cregan held her close as she screamed in pain and gripped his wrists. She surely left bruises.
"The babe is crowning, princess," the midwife exclaimed. "Keep pushing."
The pain came in waves that made her see white.
Cregan began to panic when the midwives gave one another a look. "What?"
"She is not pushing hard enough."
Y/n began to cry in frustration.
"She is pushing," Cregan sighed. "What else is there to do?"
One of them reached up and began to push on her stomach, prompting the princess to cry harder as the pain multiplied.
"Allow me," Cregan shifted her in his hold and carefully placed his hands where the midwife had, slowly applying pressure to the same place.
As Y/n screamed and cried, Cregan placed assuring kisses against her neck and cheek and whispered calming words to her. "You're doing well."
If the pain had not been so bad, she may have blushed.
…
Cregan held the baby close to his chest as his wife slept.
"My lord," a servant finally entered and interrupted the silence. "The queen has requested to see the child."
An annoyed feeling washed over the man. Of course, she wished to.
The servant took note of his changed demeanor, "I can take-"
"-No," he countered. "I will go myself. Should my wife awaken in my absence, give her anything she desires."
His heavy feet stormed from the room and he walked to the queen's chambers.
Alicent turned and shock overcame her. "Lord Stark. I did not expect you to-"
"-Neither did I."
The two stared at one another for a moment before Alicent's eyes wandered to the bundle in the large lord's arms. "Healthy?"
"The very picture."
She nodded, unsure of what to say next.
"A boy," Cregan stated.
"A boy?" Alicent whispered. Any thoughts of annoyance were past to her, and she walked to the lord and eagerly looked at the child.
The baby was indeed the picture of health. Bright purple eyes looked up at the two. Dark hair sat atop his head.
"He's quite northern," she stated.
"Indeed." Cregan was sure she meant it as an insult, but he could care less. The thought of such a gift as a northern boy filled him with pride.
"Congratulations, Lord Stark."
He nodded. "Your daughter is fine as well."
Alicent moved away from Cregan and sat down. "That is a blessing. To all of us. She will be a perfect mother."
"Aye, she will."
The tension between the two was evident, but they wouldn't let it dull the excitement of the newest addition to the line.
"I should return to my wife."
"Please, do."
Cregan moved to the door.
"Lord Stark?" She asked.
"Yes?"
Alicent stared at him and then the babe. "Thank you. For caring for her. And now him. You are a better man than most."
Cregan sighed. It wasn't a compliment, but it was something. "Thank you, my queen. She will want for nothing until my dying breath."
"This is all I wished for her."

pairing: bsf!rafe x reader, rafe x sofia
summary: y/n overhears sofia and hollis unintentionally, and as rafes friend decides to tell him
warning: swearing, that’s about it i think
wc: 1.8k
a/n: thank you to the anon who sent this in! i’m loving the rafe angst lately, i’ve been having so much fun getting back into writing!! I legit couldn’t think of a title so for now there isn’t one lmaooo
part 2
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘
The fresh night air filled your lungs as you took a deep breath. You always loved walking at night. The air always felt better, the way everything quieted and slowed down always brought you peace. You loved to sit on the dock, listening to the crash of the waves. You watched the stars, mentally pointing out your favorite constellations as you spotted them.
You were brought out of your trance by a familiar voice coming from one of the boats in your vicinity.
“How much?”
You turned your head, leaning your body to try to get a good view. You spotted Sofia, sitting on a boat with that blonde lady you saw the other day. What was her name again? Holly?
“25, dear,” she said. “No questions asked.”
You slowly rose to your feet, trying to get a better view and be more in earshot. You had to stop your jaw from dropping when you heard the conversation. Twenty five grand for Sofia to convince Rafe to take the Goat Island deal. The well put together woman tried to make it same like it was for Rafe’s benefit, but you could tell by Sofia’s reactions that it wasn’t. She just wanted the money, she didn’t care how.
“What the fuck,” you whispered to yourself.
You saw Holly…Hollis! That’s what it was! She handed something to Sofia, and you caught a glimpse of what looked like cash inside. The conversation started wrapping up and you quickly picked up your pace, walking in the opposite direction and off the dock so neither of them saw you.
The sound of your shoes on the pavement sounded too loud in your ears as you hurried back to your house. You knew you weren’t supposed to overhear the conversation, but what were you supposed to do with that information now that you had it? You had to tell Rafe, right? He was your friend. You couldn’t let him get screwed over, especially not when he thought Sofia had good intentions.
You sat on the edge of your bed, breathing shallow as you went over everything you heard. You let out a mix of a sigh and a groan as you flopped onto your back, staring at the ceiling. You’d sleep on it, and decide how to go about telling Rafe tomorrow. You were supposed to meet him at the beach, maybe you could catch him alone before that.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘
The sun was bright and unforgiving, your eyes squinting automatically as you walked down the street. You decided you’d meet Rafe at his place before going down to the beach together. You needed to catch him alone.
You already felt the sweat forming on your forehead as you approached his front door, knocking urgently. When he didn’t answer, you knocked again. Eventually, the door flung open, his eyes half closed once the sun hit his face.
“Can you chill out?” he groaned, shielding the sun with his hand.
You could tell he had just woken up. Usually you’d feel bad, but honestly, you didn’t care. You needed to talk to him, to tell him what you heard and saw last night.
“Rafe I need to tell you something,” you said. “It’s important.”
He groaned slightly before stepping aside, silently inviting you in. He disappeared for a minute or two, arriving back with two mugs of coffee in his hand. You let him take a few sips, waiting for the caffeine to be in him before you started explaining. He needed to be alert and awake when he heard it.
“I was out at the dock last night, just clearing my head,” you started. “And I overheard something I think you should know.”
He stared at you, urging you to continue. His bright blue eyes were fixated on you now, fully awake.
“I saw Sofia and…Hollis?” it came out as more of a question. “I heard Hollis telling Sofia that she would give her 25 grand to convince you to sign the deal.”
“What?” Rafe said, his eyebrows ruffling together and his head shaking as he set his mug down on the coffee table beside him. “You must have misheard.”
“I saw Sofia take the money, Rafe,” you sighed. “I’m sorry, I know you really like her and everything but I really thought you should know and-”
“Just stop, y/n!” Rafe cut you off, raising a hand as if to pause you. “Spare me the fucking dramatics. Why are you trying to fuck with me?”
His jaw clenched, twitching as if he was biting his tongue. You hit a nerve, you could tell. You sat up a bit straighter, trying to show that you were serious. He wasn’t believing you. He didn’t want to think you might be right.
“I’m not!” you protested. “I just thought you should know. I think this Goat Island thing is sketchy, and she’s in on it.”
“Are you seriously that fucking jealous?” he asked, his voice raising as he stood up, towering over you. “You seriously can’t handle the thought of me being happy with someone so much that you have to make shit up?”
“Rafe this isn’t about Sofia!” you defended, standing up to match him. “I want you to be happy, but I can’t not let you know she’s being shady behind your back!”
“No, you know what y/n?” he asked, not waiting for the answer. “I’ve waited for you forever. Just waiting for the day you finally give me the time of day. For once, my attention is on someone other than you. And you can’t fucking handle it.”
You took a step back, your mouth opening slightly. You were at a loss for words. He really thought this was a jealousy issue? That you made up a whole complex story just because you don’t like Sofia? Sure, you were a little hurt when they got together. She was beautiful, and kind, and there were moments you wished he looked at you the way he looked at her. But this wasn’t about hurting her, or getting your way.
“You just loooooved pulling me around behind me like your puppy,” he continued, matching your step back with one forward. His voice lowered and his eyes narrowed, meeting your gaze. “You loved holding me close. You know how I feel for you, and you love it, y/n. You love the attention and you love how you can use it to your advantage.”
“Are you hearing yourself?” you screamed. “You’re fucking delusional Rafe. I’m trying to tell you something serious and you think this is just a love triangle? A lovers quarrel?”
“Stop messing with my head!” he shouted, tapping his temples with his index fingers. “That’s all you do, is fuck with my head! All the time!”
Your mind was reeling. Is that how he felt? Like you were just stringing him along. You never knew Rafe saw you as anything other than a friend. If you weren’t so focused on trying to tell him the truth, you would have held on longer to what he said about waiting for you. Did he mean he had feelings for you all this time? You always buried your feelings for Rafe, pretending they didn’t exist. It was easier that way. Easier to accept you’d never be together.
Rafe had always made your heart flutter, but the baggage that came with him often kept you at a distance when it came to getting closer. He was your friend, you cared for him. You never told him about how you truly felt, because you knew it would likely be a bad idea to be romantically involved. You assumed he’d never feel that way about you anyway, so you buried the hatchet.
“Fine,” you exhaled. “Don’t come to me when you find out your little girlfriend screwed you over. It’s your 400k, not mine.”
Trying to keep up an air of strength, you clenched your jaw. You wouldn’t cry, you wouldn’t react emotionally. He’ll find out the truth eventually, the truth always comes out. He’d admit you were right if you gave it time.
Until then, you walked out his door, leaving it open behind you. His earlier words still coursed through your mind. The mean ones, and the ones about his feelings for you, but as always, you swept them under the rug. You couldn’t face the truth yourself.
You felt something tug at your wrist, turning around to meet Rafe’s blue eyes once again. You thought they looked glossier, a sheen over them. Was he tearing up? No way, Rafe Cameron never cries. Not over this.
“Y/n,” he said lowly, a stark contrast from his previous shouting. “Tell me the fucking truth. Are you just saying this to fuck with me and make me question my relationship with Sofia?”
“No, Rafe,” you said honestly. “I know what I saw. This isn’t some ploy to get you to break up with her or be with me instead. I’m just trying to protect you.”
It was the truth. Despite how you felt about Rafe, you wanted the best for him. If Sofia was what was best, you’d support it. You almost wished you hadn’t seen what you saw at the dock. That way, you wouldn’t have to insert yourself in their relationship at all. You could continue to stand on the sidelines, watching his life pass with you becoming less and less present.
“Protect me,” he scoffed, mocking your words.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” you asked harshly.
“Protect me from what, huh? My little poor heart being hurt?” he asked sarcastically. “It’s too late for that, y/n. You can’t protect me from anything when you’re part of the problem.”
You shook your head at him, at a loss for words. He clearly wasn’t done speaking, but you ran out of snarky retorts. You felt like you had whiplash from all the directions this conversation was going. He stared at you for a moment, his mouth slightly open, his hands running over his newly buzzed hair. You heard him release a quiet sigh, his head hanging down.
“No one will ever be good enough in your eyes,” he said, looking back up at you. “Not Sofia, and not me. I was never good enough for you, and Sofia isn’t good enough for me. So you can’t protect me from ‘heartbreak’, y/n. Because you are the problem.”
He pointed a finger at you, his teeth clenched together as the words left his lips. He turned around swiftly and walked back into his house, slamming the door behind him. Unable to process what just happened, you stared blankly in his direction, met with nothing but the front of his house. By trying to help, you somehow managed to make things so much worse, and so complicated.
“Now what?” you said to yourself under your breath.

“could you be seen with me and still act proud?”
➢ Jing Yuan, Argenti, Aventurine, Dan Heng, Blade, Xiao, Childe, Wanderer, Zhongli
➢ Star Rail / Genshin x [GN] Reader
➥ (their answer + reaction to this question)
➥ (comfort / fluff)
✧ - JING YUAN
“Why, of course. I would hold your hand up for the whole of the Xianzhou to see.”
This was pretty expected of the sly general. However, what was unexpected was the way he took you in his arms and lifted you up—bridal style. You begged him to put you down as he opened the doors of his and your room, now making his way outside to remind the whole Xianzhou that you're his and he's yours.
✧ - ARGENTI
“Dearest love—of course, I would be so proud to have the chance to take the hand of mortal beauty itself, and, if it were chivalrous, I would boast about your beauty everywhere I go.”
Ever so poetic, Argenti pulls your heart strings again with his creative (yet cheesy) lines. He loves you; that's a fact that nobody can deny, and he believes that you were sent down by Idrila herself with how attractive you are. Without a hesitant thought, he backs away and offers you his hand—will you accept the offer in which he takes you from place to place, hand in hand, to show the whole world that your his love?
✧ - AVENTURINE
“You wanna take a bet? Here, I'll take you out to dinner if you guess my answer correctly—get it wrong, and I decide on what I'll do with you.”
With a wink and a smile turning into a smirk, it's always hard to guess what Aventurine is thinking, but with the clock ticking, you hardly get time to really think, and so you curiously answer with “no.” A smile grows on his face, and he leans in close, holding your arms. He whispers in your ear, “I guess that means you have to do what I tell you tonight.”
✧ - DAN HENG
“Of course. I do... I do love you, after all.”
His sentences are kept short and simple (with a little bit of blush), just like how they always are. Now, unlike most people on this list, he isn't bringing you outside to let the world know that you're dating, but he would feel and does absolutely feel proud to have you as his love. He reassures you that he would never feel embarrassed or feel the need to hide his love for you, no matter the crowd he's surrounded by.
✧ - BLADE
“Yes. Nobody's taking you, and nobody's taking me. Everyone had better know that you're mine, and the same goes for me.”
His response was rather threatening, but that's typical with Blade. His words are as sharp as his sword, but they're also as meaningful as sharp; his intent is nowhere near ill towards you, and he only means that he's dedicated himself to you already, and it's a dedication that he would never feel embarrassed or guilty for. Now, take his hand—he'll promise the world that you're his tonight.
✧ - XIAO
“Yes. Why wouldn't I be?”
In Adeptus Xiao language, he means, “yes, of course I would. Archons, holding your hand is a blessing itself.” And, though he doesn't admit it, he still feels it. You are his first and only love in several millennia. You, of every person to ever set foot in Liyue, managed to capture his heart when nobody else could. Xiao loves you, and he feels that he will forever, so he prays you'd banish him if he ever hurts you or hides his love away for something trivial because that means the karma got to him and that he's gone mad.
✧ - CHILDE
“Of course, babe! You know what? Let's go on a date right now— everything's on me!”
And that's simply Childe. Without a word, he disappears and reappears with your favorite outfit in hand, and has you put it on (in private as he waits outside the bedroom door), and when you're done, he's suddenly dressed nicely with roses in hand, and he takes you out on a date. How? No clue, but know that he's letting the whole region know that you're his right here and right now.
✧ - WANDERER
“Huh? That's a stupid question. Why are you asking me, anyway?”
Yes. He means yes in every way possible. His sharp tongue speaks the opposite, but Wanderer truly means that he would show you off to the world if he had to. If he has to, mainly because he finds the concept of love in its entirety as stupid, but he also loves you too much to let you leave him, let alone have someone else think that you're some vacant partner just waiting to be taken. Now, hold both of his hands. He'll glide you above Sumeru City and show everyone there that you're his if you're still thinking about the question.
✧ - ZHONGLI
“Well, of course. Would you like to take a walk around the harbor for me to prove that?”
Zhongli senses your insecurity, and he wishes to alleviate your worries, so he takes you to a popular teahouse by a bridge. It's not that grand or special, but he keeps you close to him as you both sip away at your tea and embrace the company of one another.
yes, this was a heathers reference.

MW2 Reaction To You Panty-Flashing Them
Warnings: Implied Smut, Mean! MW2, Dominant! MW2, Victim/Reader Blaming, Slut-Shaming, Reader Getting Pimped Out, Mention of a Leash, Allusions to Injury, Mentions of Blood, Petnames, Profanity, No Pronouns Used For Reader Except ‘You’.
Ghost
Ghost is a territorial man. So seeing you flash not only him but Johnny as well made something in him simmer.
It wasn’t rage, for this little accident, regardless of how intentional it was, was not your fault. If he had to place it, he’d attribute it to…
Lust.
As was evident in how he excused himself from the gathering of the 141 and Los Vaqueros in your living room, grabbing you by your arm.
He stowed you away. Dragged you to a desolate laundry room and gripped you by your thighs. You gasped, gripped onto him. Felt something hard rub against you.
Ghost threw you atop the washing machine and gave you a harsh stare as he watched you try to fight the feeling building within from the machine’s buzzing and shuffling.
“Go on then, Doll,” he rasps, eyes hard and the throbbing monster between his legs harder. He palmed himself. Remorse was not in his nature. And neither was mercy.
“Seein’ as you were practically beggin’ the others to fuck you, go and put on a show.”
His voice lowered. He stood between your legs, frame blocking you from any form of help or salvation.
“Just for me.”
König
König had been sat on your sofa, an action figure in a house for a doll half his size, and you’d bent over to retrieve something from beneath the TV cabinet.
The fact that you were wearing a pair of König’s shorts was already clouding his moral compass. Seeing your underwear peeking out beneath them was what sent him over the edge.
As you remained bent, cheek pressed to the floor as you reached for what you’d lost, you didn’t hear König approach. Didn’t know he’d even moved from the sofa until something thick and hard was pressed to the back of you, followed by two heavy hands holding you at the waist, and a slow, shuttering breath.
“Don’t move,” König told you. “Stay like this.”
Slowly, he pressed deeper into you. You could feel his restraint unwinding second by second.
It was when he bent over you, had his broad chest pressed to your back, that you knew you weren’t escaping. And you weren’t backing down.
“I’m gonna fuck you ‘til you cum, bleed or pass out.” König’s voice held no humour, but you could feel the franticity building in it.
He reached round, gripped your chin. Made you look at him. His smile was sharp, his features dark.
“Whichever comes first.”
Soap
Johnny pulled the leash tighter around your throat when you tried to protest your innocence. Tried to make him see reason.
“Doesn’t matter that it was ‘just an accident’.” He mimicked you, made you sound weak, whiny. His eyes hardened and his jaw clenched. His knuckles turned white around the leash.
His shadow loomed over you from your position on the bed, on your hands and knees while Johnny presided over you with an iron fist.
Tears obscured his silhouette. Made your eyes glassy.
“Aww, Did I upset you, Bonnie?” Johnny’s tone held a gruffness that didn’t even try to hide the anger running beneath.
He huffed, a mocking laugh.
“How’d’ya think I felt when you were practically spreading your legs for Simon?”
Again, you tried to tell him what really happened. Tried to incur any fragment of mercy Soap would spare you.
He pulled on the leash again. Tighter. You gasped, hands flying up to the leather around your neck, trying to loosen it – to plead for Johnny’s favour – as the air was knocked out of you.
“Oh no, you don’t get to talk.” He said. He stepped to you. The bulge in his jeans became ever more noticeable. Impending.
“M’gonna use you like the whore you are ‘til my cum’s leaking out of every hole in your body.”
Valeria
“Do I look like I fucking care, Darling?” Valeria circled you, her belt wrapped around her hand, a glint of darkness in her eye.
Wrists and ankles duct-taped to the chair, you could do little to follow her. To understand her intentions.
“Do you really think whatever little lie you pass off as an excuse can quell the fire you’ve set?”
Before you could attest your innocence, beg for forgiveness, Valeria’s belt came down across your thighs. Crying out, you flinched, tried to withdraw, pushing your chair back in the process.
Valeria lunged forward and gripped the chair by the arms, pressing your skin into the wood, and dragged you back.
Her face twisted into a visceral snarl, the portrait of evil.
“Please, Valeria, I’m begging you–”
“Oh, you’ll beg for me, alright.” Valeria looked down at you, her face to yours. Just shy of your noses touching. With bared teeth, she smiled.
“I won’t stop until you do.”
Price
“If you wanted attention that badly, you could’ve just asked.”
Price had your arms and legs bound to a hard, wooden chair while a thick ream of cloth had your mouth gagged. He stood over you, arms crossed over his front, a glint in his eye. He sighed, brought his hands to grip your tied forearms. Pressed them into the armrests.
You winced.
“What…possessed you to go and show your arse to Alejandro and the rest of the team?” His voice reflected a tone of ponderment found only in Sarcasm’s extended family tree. And it showed with the faux confusion written in his brow.
“Do I just not cut it for you?” He leaned in. The chair creaked. Your arms hurt. He didn’t let up.
“Am I not enough to keep you from throwing yourself at the nearest soldier?”
He watched you, his stare narrow. You shook your head, eyes wide. You tried speaking through the gag, tried to tell him that he was the only man you loved, but you both knew your efforts were futile.
He withdrew, gripped his belt, adopted his default stance. He heaved a deep breath.
“Come in, lads,” he called behind him, not taking his gaze off you. Your stomach tightened.
A thin smile stretched across Price's lips as he watched your eyes widen, your gaze following Simon, Soap, Gaz, Rudy and Alejandro as they filtered into the room.
Price bowed at the waist, lowered his voice so only you could hear.
“Seeing as you’re so keen to show ‘em what’s under your clothes, I’m gonna let them use you ‘til you’ve learnt your lesson.”
Horangi
Hong-Jin popped the top button of his jeans, keeping his gaze trained on you, spearing you with a dark stare.
“Did you enjoy giving König and I a little show, Dear?”
Sarcasm nestled in his tone, a viper in a den. But the excitement running parallel beneath it, just shy of its transparent underbelly, was evident.
Hong-Jin slid the zip of his jeans down. Pulled the denim over his hips.
“It’s only fair that I…” He took your hand, placed it at the hem of his underwear. Dipped beneath the band.
His skin was scorching. Something pulsated beneath your fingers.
The implication sat heavy in his tone. In his eyes.
“Return the favour.”
Alejandro
“I didn’t know I was dating such an attention-seeking whore.”
Alejandro’s voice was the roll of thunder across a darkened valley, the weight of a downpour of knives settled into his tone.
Hands behind his back, he stood over you, having resigned you to sitting on your knees, the hardwood floor pushing against your joints.
“Luckily for you, I’m not the type to hold grudges.” A smile played at his lips. One you knew not to trust.
“But he is.”
Alejandro looked to the door, where, from beyond its frame, emerged Rudy. His face held a similar, serpentine pallor, his lips drawn up into a thin smile. Venom in his veins.
“Wasn’t expecting to get blue-balled by (Y/N) earlier, Ale,” came Rudy, his usually sugared demeanour having dropped, the veil between what he was and what he showed to the world slipping away. Retreating.
Alejandro gave him a knowing look. He turned back to you.
“Why don’t you be a good little doll and put your face to the floor. Just like we practised.”
The memory of leashes, lashings and tears flooded your memory. You held back a wanton whimper.
Alejandro’s voice dropped. “And let Rudy see the rest of what you promised him.”
Rodolfo
“I don’t want to have to do this, Cariño. Rudy stood over you, his hands on your shoulders and his face dark. Grim.
His hold on your shoulders tightened.
“But I can’t let your behaviour go…”
He searched your eyes for the right word. His brow furrowed when he found it.
“Unchecked.”
He sighed. Pushed down on your shoulders.
“Come on, Angel. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be.” He told you, pushing harder until you bent to his will.
Now, on your knees, you could see how desperately he needed you.
One hand came to your jaw, thumb trailing to your lip, pulling your mouth open. The other slid down to his belt, sliding it from the buckle. It hissed, pulled tight against the metal. You swallowed.
Rudy’s breath shuttered, and you could tell from the way his hand clenched, the way he slipped the belt from his jeans like a snake, that he was enjoying this. Much more than he wanted to let on.
“Now remember, mi Amor, no teeth, no biting.” His head tilted. Condescending. “Or I’ll bite you back.”
Graves
He can barely contain himself.
It was only the briefest of flashes. It wasn’t even intentional. But something about your shy smile after the fact once you realised what you’d done sent a vicious little idea to Graves’s head.
He starts stealing all your underwear. Gradually, yet in large enough volumes that he doesn’t have to wait longer than he can handle without his reward.
One day, you come into his office, face warm and tugging an oversized shirt over the top of your thighs.
“Missing something, Darlin’?” Graves drawls. Your eyes narrow at him. You know he’s had something to do with your underwear’s disappearing act.
He puts his papers down, sighs, and rests the back of his head in his hands against the backrest of his chair.
“How about you flash me again. Slowly, now.” His eyes glint with a dark mischief and want.
“Y’don’t wanna know what happens if you don't do it the way I like it.”
Gaz
“Oh, Darling, look what you’ve done,” Gaz’s voice carried despite the thickening tension in the room. Neither of you needed to look down to see what he was referring to.
Despite the chastising tone in his voice, his eyes were warm. Kind, almost.
“If you wanted my attention so badly, you only had to ask.”
He stepped towards you, placing a hand under your jaw. He smiled.
“It’s only fair that I reward you for being so creative, isn’t it ?”
His other hand came to your shoulder, pushing the strap of your tank top until it fell, leaving the sweeping juncture between your neck and shoulder exposed.
Has bit back a shuttering breath.
Despite his gentile voice, an angeline choir, the soundtrack of mercy, there lay a hunger in his eyes, in his barely-restrained grip, that suggested a beast lurked beneath his pretty boy exterior.
And you knew from the way he told you to “Get on the bed – be good for me,” that you’d be seeing it tonight.

seeing you get hit
Genre: angst/comfort NEUVILLETTE x GN reader | Anthology warning: the reader is punched in the face, kicked (2xs), mention of pain and discomfort / Mesulines are treated unkindly and spoken too derogatorily / Neuvillette obliterates a guy (oh also you wake up in his bed -- fufu) Synopsis: *character* becomes progressively worried about you not returning - as the hours tick by, they notice a commotion has started and find you in distress as they check it out. Quickly they head to where you were and, well, their reaction to seeing you being accosted by someone in the middle of the city, let’s just say they took matters into their own hands
"Sir, please calm down," you said, raising your hands to appease the irate man waving about. You moved to position yourself between him and the Melusine and could feel her trembling as she latched onto your clothes.
"How dare you raise your voice to me!" he shouted, swatting at your hands, forcing you to shuffle backward toward the canal. With how tightly the Melusine stood beside you, it became increasingly difficult to not trip over her.
"I can see you're angry -"
"I'm not angry, I'm annoyed. I want an apology from that - that thing, now!" He jutted his hand toward the Melusine and she hid further behind your leg. Rage billowed off him like salty wind on the high seas, every transgression equalling small cuts that made you wince. You knew there were those who dislike the Melusines, but you never had the disgusting privilege of meeting one - until now.
"I did say I was sorry, sir," she mumbled, to terrified to speak louder than a gentle caress of water over shallow rocks.
"There, will that satisfy you?" you asked, hand against his chest to keep him from moving closer. He locked eyes with you, shoulders heaving, face flush and red. His stare darted between you and her, back and forth, increasing in frustration. You moved until he couldn't see her at all. "Leave."
His lips curled into a feral sneer. "You think you're bravely protecting it, huh? If it's so important, let it face me-"
"Her."
"What?"
"I'm protecting her."
Rage swept over him and, without thinking, you shoved the Mesuline to the side and took the full force of his blow.
---
Neuvillette made his way through the crowd, chin lifted as he carefully took in the people. Some smiled at him, others bowed their heads in dutiful respect. He minded neither, but returned their gestures with a kind nod.
He rarely had intentions when he wandered through the city. It was typical for him to meander like a slow moving river carving a lazy path to nowhere in particular but today he felt a strong desire to happen upon someone. You. One who had grown rather close to him over the last several months, one who, at times, would come by to, 'check in on him,' while he worked, one who found a habit of leaving bottles of mineral-rich water on his desk when he was away. He found your company, pleasing.
Though, so far, his unassuming searching had come up empty. Did you make mention of leaving Fontaine today? He couldn't remember.
Near the canal, frustrated voices billowed on the wind. A crowd had formed in a rather unusual way. He stared, unable to see through the bunched people when something tugged on his leg.
Neuvillette pushed through the crowd. They jumped out of the way and tripped over themselves to allow him through while he looked ahead at the sight beyond their breach and felt the blackness of the sea consume him.
"Monsieur Neuvillette!" the Mesuline shouted, her eyes filled with worry.
---
"Are you okay?" The Mesuline asked, her face inches from yours as you coughed and blinked through the white. A high-pitched ring clogged your ears so you opened your mouth to clear the noise only to gasp at the pain it caused.
"You stupid -- so desperate to go down with those fucking things? Fine!" The man shouted. You looked his way just in time to see his leg fly toward your stomach. It sent you careening into the stone pathway and knocked the Mesuline halfway into the water. You tried to grab her, but she slipped from your grip when you landed on your arm, it bent unnaturally in your tumble. You cried out but that didn't stop him from slamming his foot into your chest.
Gasping, you rolled onto your back and stared at the blinding sky. It hurt to breathe, hurt to think. The Mesuline rushed toward you and you lifted a shaking arm to block them from the man's wrath.
People screamed and rushed forward to grab the man as his foot came down toward you but all you saw was radiant blue rising toward the sky, and from its shimmer came the rain.
A massive wave rose from the canal and covered the land in a shallow, unmoving layer of crystal-clear water. You could make out the bodies of onlookers but they seemed frozen, more like mirages, glistening in quiet stasis. The buildings of Fontaine reflected in the mirror-like water, making your stomach flip, but the hovering figure in the eerie blue turned your skin cold.
"What is - what's happening?" the man asked, panic seeping from him as he searched for familiar ground. He looked at his feet only to shout and stumble onto his backside. "Monsters! I told you! Those things are monsters!" He pointed to the Mesuline who was now securely tucked against your chest. She trembled, buried her face against you and held on so tightly it made you wince.
"You are mistaken," a voice said and the water fluttered, every droplet alight with energy it couldn't bear. "I am the monster you seek."
Through bleary, rain-blinded eyes, you watched the figure descend before the man and, when it was close enough, you recognized its face.
Neuvillette.
Beads of water lept from the basin to reach him like hands pawing to touch even a thread of their so-called God. You could sense the energy in the shallow pool, feel it in every drop of rain that cascaded across your face but none of it touched Neuvillette. He remained - unaffected.
"Iudex ..." the man said, his voice barely audible even in the strange quiet. Senses returning to him, he scrambled to a low, deep bow and splayed his hands beneath Neuvillette's hovering feet. "Monsieur, please, this is all just a terrible mistake."
"Have the rules of Order been unclear to you?"
"I - I don't understand."
"Your crime has been witnessed by many and yet, you stand before me, denying all accusations?"
"P-Please, Monsieur. T-they attacked me, I was just defending myself."
"It appears communication with the accused is going poorly. I shall afford you one final chance before I render judgment."
"Judgement? What-you can't!" The man stood and came up to Neuvillette's hips. "You may be the Iudex, but you can't sentence me! I deserve to be tried. You'll see - you'll see then it was all a mistake."
Neuvillette glanced your way, his eyes narrowing. When he looked back at the man, all the color drained from his face. "By order of -"
"No, wait! Please!" The man raised his hands and Neuvillette did the same.
"I render you, guilty." Power boiled below the surface and set the world rumbling. "Bow your head, and be sanctified," Neuvillette said and with his judgment, a pillar of water burst from below and consumed the man until there was nothing left.
When the waters receded, Neuvillette made his way to you. Each step steady, measured, undisturbing of the waters beneath him. He knelt at your side, laid one hand on your forehead and another on the trembling Melusine who hid further against your body.
"Neu --" you said, pain taking your voice.
"I am here," he hummed and you fell away like the tide.
---
When you awoke, you found yourself surrounded by lapping silk. Cool fabric warmed by your body heat. It hurt to lift yourself up, but only slightly. It seemed your mind remembered the pain of the day before while your body didn't. You touched your chin but it felt normal.
"I see you are awake," a voice echoed in the room but you couldn't see them. Giant rods on each corner of the bed held up a royal curtain that obscured your vision.
You were tempted to slip free from the sheets when the pitter-patter of feet held you in place and from the nothing several Melusines rushed to greet you. Each was more excited than the last. They swarmed you with thanks and laughter, sweeping you up in their joyous voices.
Another being appeared near the edge of the bed, except his presence made you go still. He moved gracefully to sit beside you and instinctually you moved so he had more room. He noticed.
Neuvillette frowned. "I have frightened you," he said, sorrowful as dropped his gaze.
"What? No, I'm not -" You reached for him then pulled back at the last minute. He noticed. "I'm not afraid of you. I swear."
He contemplated your reply for what felt like forever before nodding in acceptance. "I hope you do not mind the accommodations. I had little place else to take you."
You tried to not think about it too much. It was almost certain this was - as you now suspected - his room. "It's fine," you replied and hoped the shadows didn't betray the heat rising in your cheeks.
"I am pleased to hear." Neuvillette smiled and let his eyes drift to the Mesulines surrounding you. "I believe thanks are in order."
"You're the one who saved me though."
"That may be true, yet it was you who protected the Mesulines, was it not?"
Your palm went flush against one of their backs. You didn't think much at the time, it was just - "It was the only thing to do."
"Indeed," he said, his eyes soft, kind, and fixed on your own. You dropped them under the pressure only for your heart to stop when his hand cupped your chin so he could look at you again. "I am grateful."
You looked at him, tried to breathe, tried to force words - any words - through your throat but all you could manage were several shallow nods to which he responded by running his finger across your cheek - leaving you drowning.

It’s been clear that the Tanizakis aren’t siblings from the very beginning
here’s some evidence now that it’s been confirmed canon…
everyone who’s read irl Tanizaki’s book knew that Junichiro & Naomi weren’t siblings as soon as they introduced themselves
BUT just because the Tanizakis aren’t siblings doesn’t mean you can’t feel uncomfortable about them. if you feel uncomfortable, GOOD. that’s exactly what they want
the Tanizakis, Mori— they all use these disturbing ruses to disarm or distract people in order to protect themselves, or to accomplish their goals. this is a writing device that asagiri commonly employs as a way to parallel the irl literature (it’s actually ingenious)
there are 4 main indicators that have always made it clear to me that Junichiro & Naomi are not siblings:
1. most obviously— their character designs. Harukawa is extremely intentional with character designs, & she very intentionally made Naomi & Junichiro look nothing alike
their eye shapes are purposely different
their color palettes are contrasting
even their differing styles of clothing have meaning
this was all done so that the audience could PLAINLY see that they’re not related— so that WE know that they’re lying when they say they ARE related
2. how the people around them respond to their act.
the general reaction is “don’t question it”— which is exactly what they want. “be distracted by how uncomfortable you feel so that you look away from what we’re hiding” (this is likely a protective measure)
3. most importantly, this is meant to parallel irl Tanizaki’s book “Naomi,” where the main character Joji picks up Naomi to raise her into his ideal woman, but since she's so young (& a minor) they call each other cousins (Joji makes no sexual advances on young Naomi btw)
however, his plan backfires because when Naomi gets older & they get married, she flips the script on him & manipulates HIM so that he's under her thumb (which is why bsd Tanizaki is at a domineering Naomi's mercy). Joji let her have her way because of his masochistic tendencies
4. lastly is the emphasis that Asagiri and the Tanizakis themselves put on calling each other siblings.
over & over, it’s “my brother this” & “my sister that”
like they’re desperately trying to convince us that it’s true (“don’t let your lying eyes deceive you”)
here are just a few of many examples from the light novels…
again, if you’ve read “Naomi” you knew that Junichiro & Naomi weren’t siblings as soon as they introduced themselves
just like if you’ve read irl Mori’s works, it’s clear that bsd Mori isn’t a pedophile
just like if you’ve read No Longer Human you know that Dazai’s an unreliable narrator. he makes you think he’s a bad person bc he believes he’s a bad person, but those around him see him differently (btw this doesn’t mean he’s never done anything “bad,” though bsd isn’t about morality— but that’s another discussion)
anyway, i’m so excited for the Tanizakis backstory to be revealed so that we can better understand why they use this defense!!
also let this be a reminder to READ THE LITERATURE if you’re able to!! even reading synopses & analyses of the coordinating books makes bsd make much more sense 🥹
reminder that this how you’re supposed to react while reading bsd:
also, if you’re interested in a post explaining how Mori isn’t a pedo, i wrote this analysis on twt. OR you can read this document that one of my moots sent me (remember: analyzing a character does NOT mean you condone any actions they may or may not commit!)
#i hope this makes sense. i’ve had this in the drafts for months but was too scared to post it#i’m hoping now that it’s confirmed canon there won’t be as much backlash ^^’ pls be kind#darcy this is for you… i hope you like it :’)#also full disclosure i haven’t been able to read all of Naomi yet. mostly synopses & analyses. so don’t take my summary of the book as law#also hopefully now people won’t ignore the Tanizakis anymore!! not only are they so interesting. they’re also just fun characters#Naomi is so underrated & intelligent. i need more of her teaming up with Dazai#rambling about bsd again#bsd#bungou stray dogs#bsd meta#bsd analysis#bsd tanizaki#bsd naomi#naomi tanizaki#tanizaki junichirou#tanizaki siblings#bsd 118

PROSTATE PLAY | back
starring: oc (Adam) x male reader
summary: Adam is a urologist, a doctor that deals with penises and prostates. Little did he expect to have one of the best sex ever with a random patient on a random day
nsfw
a/n: this is a repost. I have written one with a kpop idol. Thought I should post this without a kpop idol for the non kpop fans because I love the sayuncle videos
It was a typical Wednesday morning at Dr. Adam’s urology clinic. Patients trickled in, each with their unique set of urinary issues. Adam, a tall and handsome man in his early thirties, greeted them with a warm smile as he efficiently diagnosed and treated various conditions - from kidney stones to prostatitis.
Just before lunch, a new patient arrived, introducing himself as Mn. He looked to be in his late twenties, with short dark hair and piercing eyes that seemed to hold a secret. As Mn settled onto the examination table, Adam couldn't help but notice the way his slender fingers drummed against his thigh, betraying a hint of nervousness.
“So, tell me Mr. Mn”,Adam began, leaning over the chart, “What seems to be the problem?”
Mn shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting around the sterile white room before finally meeting Adam’s gaze.
“Well, Doctor... I've been experiencing some discomfort down there,” he gestured vaguely towards his crotch, his voice dropping to a whisper. “It's like... my dick just feels off sometimes”
Adam raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite himself. “Off, how exactly? Painful? Tingly? Or perhaps... “. His voice trailed off suggestively as he allowed his gaze to linger on Mn's lap, where a noticeable bulge strained against the fabric of his jeans.
Mn's cheeks flushed a deep crimson, and he quickly looked away, clearing his throat. “N-no pain, really. Just... sensitivity, I guess. And sometimes it gets hard without warning”
Adam nodded thoughtfully, making a note on the chart making another mark beside 'Premature Ejaculation'.
He glanced up at Mn through his lashes, a mischievous glint in his eye. “Hmm, interesting. Well, let's take a closer look, shall we?”
Without waiting for a response, Adam reached for the stethoscope hanging from his neck and deftly unbuttoned Mn's pants.
The cool metal pressed against sensitive skin as he listened intently, his breath hot against Mn's inner thigh.
“Mmm, sounds healthy enough”, Adam murmured, his fingers trailing lightly along the waistband of Mn's boxers. “But I think we should rule out any potential prostate issues. Just a routine exam, don't worry”
Mn bit his lip, trying to ignore the thrill that shot through him at Adam’s touch. ‘Prostate exam?’ Was that normal for this kind of visit? He didn't think so, but the doctor's confident demeanor put him at ease.
Adam carefully peeled down Mn's boxers, exposing his erect cock to the cool air of the exam room. A low whistle escaped his lips. “My, you're quite the one, aren't you?”
Mn's face burned even hotter, but he couldn't help shying under the praise.
Adam’s hands were gentle as they wrapped around his shaft, giving it a slow squeeze. “Relax, this won't hurt a bit”, the doctor assured him, his thumb rubbing teasing circles over the sensitive head.
As Adam began to stroke Mn's length, the young man felt his resolve crumbling.
The pleasure was overwhelming, and Mn found himself arching into Adam’s touch, his hips instinctively rocking to meet those skilled fingers. “Oh god, that feels...amazing”, he panted, his eyes fluttering shut.
Adam smiled to himself, pleased by the reaction. He picked up the pace, pumping Mn's cock with increasing urgency. “You're doing great, just relax and enjoy it”, he cooed, leaning in close to murmur against Mn's ear.
The heat of Adam’s breath sent shivers down Mn's spine, and he could feel his balls drawing up tight, signaling his impending climax. But just as he teetered on the edge, Adam abruptly pulled away, leaving Mn aching and empty.
“Almost there, but not yet”
Adam said with a wink, his own erection straining visibly against his scrubs. “Now, let's see about that prostate of yours...”
Before Mn could protest, Adam had positioned himself between his thighs, one hand guiding Mn's leg up and over his hip. The other hand, slick with lube, pressed insistently against Mn's rear entrance.
“Oh!”, Mn gasped, surprised by the sudden intrusion. But instead of pain, a wave of intense pleasure washed over him as Adam’s finger breached his tight hole.
“That's it, just relax”, Adam soothed, slowly working his finger deeper. “You're doing fantastic”
Mn moaned, his head falling back as he surrendered to the sensation. Adam finger curled inside him, stroking that magical spot that made stars explode behind his eyelids.
”Doctor”, Mn whimpered, his voice trembling with need, “please... I need..”
He didn't even know what he needed anymore, only that the ache within him demanded to be filled.
Adam must have understood, because suddenly he was removing his finger and replacing it with the thick head of his own cock.
Mn cried out as he felt that first delicious stretch, his body Adam the invasion. Adam pushed in inch by glorious inch until he was buried to the tip, filling Mn completely.
For a moment, they simply stayed like that, caught in the haze of pleasure. Then Adam began to move, withdrawing until just the tip remained inside Mn before plunging back in with a deep, satisfying thrust.
“Yes, oh god yes”, Mn chanted, his hands fisting in the sheets as he met each powerful stroke.
The room echoed with the sound of flesh slapping against flesh, punctuated by their ragged breathing and muffled groans. Adam set a relentless pace, driving into Mn with precision and passion, his hips snapping forward with each thrust.
Mn's world narrowed to the feeling of being so thoroughly claimed, so utterly owned by this handsome doctor. He'd never experienced anything like it, and the intensity threatened to consume him whole.
“Harder, please”, Mn begged, his voice hoarse with desire. “Fuck me harder!”
Adam obliged, picking up speed until the exam table shook beneath them. He leaned down to capture Mn's mouth in a searing kiss, his tongue delving deep to tangle with Mn's.
The added stimulation sent Mn careening over the edge.
With a strangled cry, Mn came undone, his orgasm crashing over him like a wave. His cock jerked, painting the sheets below with streaks of cum as wave after wave of bliss pulsed through him.
Through it all, Adam continued to pound into him, chasing his own release. “Fuck, you feel incredible”, he growled against Mn's lips, his thrusts growing erratic as he neared the edge.
With a final, brutal plunge, Adam buried himself to the inside and still Mn could feel every throbbing inch as he erupted inside him. The warmth of his seed flooding Mn's insides triggered another aftershock, leaving them both shaking and spent.
As the aftermath settled, Adam collapsed onto Mn, his weight a comforting pressure against him.
They lay there for a long moment, catching their breath and savoring the intimate silence. Finally, Adam lifted his head to gaze at Mn with a soft, satisfied smile.
“Well, that was certainly an unconventional examination”, he teased, brushing a strand of sweat-dampened hair from Mn's forehead. “But I think we can safely say your physical is complete”
Lets say Mn became a regular at the clinic

Pomni, Kinger, Caine & Jax's reaction to their s/o abstracting
warning(s): angst, hurt no comfort, self-blame, "death" of the reader, implied "death"/abstraction of another character (spoiler: Kinger), hopeful outcome note(s): There's nothing incredibly heavy or detailed, just tread carefully if "death" is something you are sensitive to, please. The "hopeful outcome" implies that Caine will at some point in time be able to fix those who've abstracted. A/N: I was feeling particularly cruel and wanted to write some angst, this came to mind and I'll be honest. I made myself a little sad.
Pomni
She never saw it coming, of course, you were acting different lately but she didn’t think it would… lead to you abstracting…
It took forever for things to get some semblance of normalcy, and you being with her was a major part of it.
Sure the relationship in a place like this was a bit, weird, but you cared about her, and she cared about you.
You kept her sane and grounded, so when you were found abstracted? It felt like she failed you.
Ragatha tries to assure her that you aren’t completely gone. Like Kaufmo you’re being kept in the cellar. Caine claims the abstracted are being kept there until he can find a way to “fix” them. (Whether he’s genuine or not though, none of them know.)
It’s all empty promises though, she still feels like she failed you.
Kinger
Not again…
Kinger silently promised himself not again, he was fine being friendly with everyone else that fell into the circus, but he had no intentions of being more than that.
But then you happened, and while he was still in shambles from the time and the insanity spent here, you were there beside him. Like a knight in shining armor.
He hadn’t been around when you abstracted, in fact, he didn’t know you abstracted until there was yelling, and boom an abstraction was causing chaos.
Kinger didn’t know who it was until it was sent off to the cellar, actually, he didn’t know who it was until he realized everyone was present except you.
There’s a high probability that losing someone again, losing you, is what ends up being his own downfall. The other’s (not including Jax) try their all to get him to calm down but it’s not enough, it’s too late…
Caine
Of all the humans to be pulled in he never once got attached.
This was never supposed to happen, he’s incapable of love.
Caine does his best to keep the humans from abstracting, and as many eyes as he has over the place, there are always ones that slip through his grasp.
Of course, he’s not around when you abstract, it takes a bunch of hooting and hollering from everyone before he shows up and oh hey an abstraction.
At an immediate glance, he knows it’s you, abstractions never remotely look like the person they were before but he knows it’s you. You don’t recognize him as you lash out, of course you don’t, you can’t.
He’s unsure about tossing you with the others in the cellar, there’s nowhere else he can truthfully keep you without causing problems. So into the cellar, you go.
Caine visits you though, not for long but he does check in on you. Not that anything changes, but out of all the abstractions down there, he knows exactly which one is you.
You’ll be the first human he fixes as soon as he’s able to.
Jax
His s/o abstracted? Nice joke, though it’s in poor taste. You’re completely fine, he just saw you earlier.
Jax doesn’t believe it until he sees it, and seeing it absolutely ruins him. He’s seen countless others get abstracted and thrown into the cellar, but why, why does it have to be you?
Why couldn’t it have been literally anyone else? He didn’t give a shit about anyone else, the one person he cared for, and you…
Similarly to Pomni, he feels it’s his fault like he could’ve, no should’ve done more. Was he so wrapped up in everything else that he didn’t notice the signs? Why didn’t you talk to him? You didn’t, didn’t do that on purpose, did you?
For the first time ever, the others are genuinely worried about Jax, they all saw/know how much you meant to him. The two of you even spoke fondly about what the two of you would do if you got out of the circus.
For a while Jax becomes even more irrational and unhinged, they try not to hold it against him too badly, even when he oversteps. He’s grieving and none of them know just how long that’ll go on.
Jax isn’t quite the same afterward, but he makes sure that nobody else tries to worm their way into his heart.
If it’s possible, he’ll make sure Caine fixes you the second he’s able to. Even if Caine can fix only one person, it’s going to be you.

Walking Tension
summary 🏹 seducing your dads bestfriend proves harder than you thought
word count 🏹 8k
warnings 🏹 large age gap, mature content
“Daryl? Are you in here?”
The low committal grunt sounding through the makeshift garage area was enough for you to confirm his presence and a soft smile spread onto your face as you made your way into the small garage like area.
He didn’t even look up from whatever it was he was doing on his bike, knowing it was you already by the sound of your voice and the fact you were the only person who typically bothered him during the day like this.
“Need any help?” Your voice was high and sweet as you looked at his wide back hunched over the motorcycle but both of you knew better than that. He’d heard that same nice tone a dozen times and knew exactly what typically followed it.
The laugh he scoffed out was humorless and you would’ve felt put off by his annoyance if you weren’t the type of person you were. The type of person you were liked to get under Daryl’s skin, liked seeing his reactions to you and seeing how far he’d let you push him before he sent you on your way like always.
“Your dad send you?” He always asked the same question when you came to find him and you always gave him the same frown in return.
You wondered if he did it as a way to remind you about your father, silently placing him in the room with the two of you because you knew as well as him that your dad played no part in the reason you kept coming to him.
You didn’t bother answering him, just making your way over to where he was working and sitting yourself down on the bike seat softly so it didn’t tip too far. You were right above the section he was working on and he had no choice but to pause.
He cleared his throat in a low grunt and leaned back a little to look at you now that you were blocking his way and taking away his excuse to remain busy and ignore you. Your legs were directly in front to his face, long and bare considering you religiously wore your little frayed denim shorts around him.
It was your favorite look of his whenever you got to this moment in your interactions.
His eyes were on you through his long dark hair and for just a moment it was like he would take you in before his doors closed again and he was glaring at you in disgust.
“Can you take a break?” Your tone was still innocent and soft despite your intentions and he said nothing, even when your legs parted slightly to try to keep his attention on you.
It was rare that he actually acknowledged you for this long and you wondered if he was feeling particularly strong today in his ability to hold back or if it was something else keeping his attention.
“Run along somewhere else girl.” His response was short and rough, yours legs closing at the same time a pout formed harder on your pretty face.
“You’re no fun Dixon.” You let your voice take on a bit of a whine and normally by now you would take the loss and leave. You’d swing your hips and tell him where to find you (he never did) and then you’d try again the next day.
But something about today felt different and you decided to hold out a bit longer to try and test that theory. He also seemed momentarily taken back by the fact you weren’t getting up and leaving and you took advantage of the fact he was watching you, spreading your legs again.
Your shorts were so small that you knew he could easily see the fabric of your best pair of panties you only wore for him, the shine of your thighs from the hot summer air.
Daryl was a strong man and his expression didn’t change once to reveal what he was thinking, if anything, but the way his eyes darted to your core and back up again was all you needed to consider this day a win.
He avoided you outside of these little interactions and you didn’t necessarily blame him considering you were clearly after a certain objective with him and he’d be an idiot to not realize how badly you were determined to get what you wanted.
“Just let me help you.” You framed the soft words like you were referring to the work he was doing on the bike but you both knew that’s not what you were implying.
“Said run along.” His voice was gruff when he finally spoke again and the sound went straight to the building heat in your stomach, your eyes flashing in excitement at his response which only seemed to annoy him further. “Always looking for trouble.”
The emphasis in his words wasn’t far from the truth considering how long you’d been playing this one sided game with him.
You’d not really looked his way when him and his brother first joined your camp back by the quarry and it wasn’t until your dad came back without Merle that he started to catch your eye.
You loved your dad but there was something about Daryl and his resistance towards him and Shane that made you more interested than you should’ve been. He didn’t seem to notice you following him around until you had gotten to the CDC and spent the night drinking.
It was the perfect excuse to find yourself outside of his door with a half empty bottle in your hand, smirking at him when he opened the door and questioned if you were even old enough to be drinking.
He’d shut you down pretty quickly that night too but you could tell he was acting different the next morning, most likely thinking he read the situation wrong and feeling guilty for blaming Rick’s innocent young daughter who just wanted some company.
After you’d gotten to the farm, he quickly realized he had been perfectly correct in his assumption that night and you most definitely were hitting on him.
You did it again after he had gotten shot and there you were, sitting on his bed side with your hand on his bare chest under the excuse of checking his pulse. The look in your eye was dangerous and he was both thankful and humiliated when Maggie opened the door and saw the two of you sitting so close.
He figured he was probably losing his mind thinking that somebody who looked like you and was your age was making a move on him but you proved him right again and again.
You’d never wanted somebody as bad as you wanted Daryl and you were determined to make it a reality.
It was easy to accept defeat today in the garage considering it felt like your biggest victory yet and he knew he had fucked up when you left the building with a big smile and a little hop in your steps.
Now a few days had passed and he was starting to wonder why you weren’t trying to talk to him again. It made him feel slightly sick that he was even thinking about it instead of just being glad your attention was finally off of him but something about it was bugging him and he quickly realized why when he was finally finding you in the cafeteria.
You were talking to one of the newcomers from Woodbury, someone much closer to your age and clearly interested in the way you were curling your hair around your finger and leaning closer as you giggled at whatever he was saying.
Daryl watched you from near the stairs and didn’t bother to hide the scowl forming when your hand was laying on the dudes arm and squeezing it lightly.
He wondered if you knew how you looked to other people, hell he wondered if your dad had any idea what they all thought of you with your big doe eyes and the tiny shorts that showed off a blinding amount of skin.
You definitely knew considering how often you’d parade around with that sweet grin, asking men for favors or help with simple task and ignoring the way their wives or girlfriends glared in your direction when they eagerly offered to assist you.
And you definitely knew the effect you had on him considering you were turning your head to find him now and somehow immediately making eye contact.
He felt a sense of something when you were automatically leaving behind the guy you were flirting with and finding your way over to him but he quickly shut that feeling down the best he could. It didn’t matter considering you were by his side in a matter of seconds.
The room was filing up quickly now that the food was ready to be served and it was getting nosier and more crowded, the perfect excuse for you to press close to Daryl to make sure he could hear what you were going to be telling him.
“Did you miss me?” Your voice was in his ear and a shudder ran through him embarrassingly enough, made even worse by the amused look in your eye.
“Where’s your old man at?” He was once again reminding you of your father before you could do anything further, giving you an opportunity to cut it out and go find somebody your own age to talk to.
“Not here.” Your response was quick and steady due to your impatience and you watched him chew the inside of his cheek and grunt softly.
You wanted him to snap and lose control enough that he’d finally give you what you wanted after months of watching his big arms work on cars and his hands shave wood down to a small point.
But you knew better than that by now and had long ago accepted that Daryl wasn’t going to just hit a breaking point and take you the way you wanted. He was going to need to be coached the entire way and you’d be the one making all the moves if you ever wanted to get anywhere with him.
“You didn’t come looking for me.” You were pouting a bit now and looking up at him with those signature big eyes, your hand coming up to touch along the jagged hem of his leather vest.
He glanced down at your wandering hand but didn’t say anything, just tensing up since you normally didn’t touch him during your teasing and especially not where somebody else could see you.
“Seemed busy.” His gaze was on you suddenly, something rare enough that you got nervous, and it took you a few seconds to realize he was talking about the guy you were flirting with.
His face was giving away absolutely nothing but excitement ran through you at him clearly caring enough to bring it up.
Daryl was a man of few words and you learned a long time ago that everything he said had a purpose, even if it was hard to understand at first. You assumed what this one was immediately and he seemed to regret saying it when you were turning your body even more so you were standing halfway in front of him now and practically caging him against the wall.
“He wants to fuck me you know.” You kept your voice steady and low enough that nobody passing by would hear what you were saying but there was no way the man across from you missed it.
His eyes stayed the same as they always were, intense and flat as he peered down at you, but you knew your words affected him even if he was scarily good at masking it.
“He say that?” His next words came out in a low grunt but you were surprised he responded to your obvious bait at all.
This was normally around the time he was telling you to leave him alone out right or ignoring you until you got bored and impatient, opting to try again another day instead. Another rush of excitement ran through you at his slight show of interest and he could tell by the way your eyes lit up like an eager kid.
“A girl can just tell when a man wants her under him.” You were too close to him now and you both knew it, taking a small step forward until the toe of your shoes could’ve touched his. “When he’s thinking about her in a way he shouldn’t.”
Your hand was flat on his chest now and you could feel the way his heart was beating through his vest and shirt, surprised he was so affected considering how blank his expression still was. You blinked up at him through your eyelashes and he looked like he was finally going to say something before you heard a voice calling him from the other side of the cell block.
He immediately stepped sideways so he wasn’t pinned against the wall by you and you frowned when your hand fell off of him and landed back by your side, watching as he left you there with a quick throat clear and an awkward glance.
It was only slightly satisfying that he let you go further than normal but you were still growing frustrated with the constant interruptions, both by him and others.
Apparently the call of his name was somebody coming to tell him about a run happening that day because you didn’t see him at all for the next few hours, eventually asking your dad where he’d gone and pouting when he gave you the list of names that had left the prison for supplies.
Your dad had laughed slightly at your upset expression, making a quick comment about how much you admired Daryl that made you roll your eyes and huff your way out of the courtyard.
He didn’t even know half of what you felt towards Daryl and you couldn’t help but be bitter that your father happened to be the one person the older man truly respected and wouldn’t go against.
You spent the rest of the day in your cell feeling a bit like a princess locked in her tower, almost deluding yourself into thinking you were close to getting what you wanted by the time you heard the gates opening and cars on the gravel road.
A few minutes passed of you excitedly biting your lip and waiting for everybody to come inside and get ready for bed, not wanting to be too eager by running outside to meet them by the entrance.
Most of the people who had been around you since the beginning (minus your oblivious dad) had gathered you had a liking for Daryl but you didn’t need them to realize it was a lot more than just a young girls crush. Especially if you wanted him to ever give into you, something he’d never do if he knew Carol and Maggie shot you amused glances everytime you asked where he was.
By the time you heard a few deep sighs and cell doors closing you were getting up to go and find him.
Your excitement made your feet sound a little louder as you speed walked down the metal steps of your cell block before heading to the one directly next to yours, the two that had been cleared out for your closest group and their families and partners.
You slowed down when you entered it and saw Glenn and Maggie sitting together near the staircase, her face red and teary where it laid in his shoulder. You could tell something was wrong and you faltered long enough for her to look up at you and give you a heavy glance, face pursing as she nodded up towards the second tier rooms.
She clearly knew you were looking for Daryl and you would have stopped and asked her what was wrong if it wasn’t for the heavy air in the cell block and the fact Glenn was already comforting her.
You still offered her a light squeeze of her shoulder as you passed them on the stairs and made your way up to the top, stopping again when you finally located the person you were looking for.
He didn’t notice you for a few seconds considering he was far too busy staring downwards at the big blue eyes of the girl who had just been wrapped around him in a tight hug but when he did, you immediately saw the worry on his face.
Your own expression steeled up and you watched his shoulders sag in defeat like he already knew you were going to make a big deal out of this, proven correct by the fact you were turning on your heel and stomping your way back to your cell.
It genuinely surprised you when he was following through your sheet door just a few breaths after you, not at all expecting him to come after you.
“It ain’t like that.” He continued to surprise you by speaking first, hands jutted out from his body like he was talking down a wild animal.
You might as well have been considering the way you glared at him, your chest rising and falling with heavy upset breaths. You felt beyond childish and ridiculous due to the fact you couldn’t get any of your angry words out, throat clogged up as you just stared at him standing in your cell.
It barely got processed that this was his first time ever being in here with you, ever being in such a small space alone together in general and you imagine you would have been more excited about this if it wasn’t for the hot jealously in your bloodstream.
“Can you calm down girl.” He sounded as gruff and impatient as ever and you hated that you immediately pouted at the sound of him scolding you.
He surprisingly wasn’t flinching away when you were suddenly in his space, just leaning back against your wall like you weren’t pushing your chest against his and letting your hands rest over his heart again.
You liked to feel how fast it started to race whenever you were getting under his skin, knowing how nervous you made him with your tempting advances.
“I’m sorry.” Your eyes were wide and innocent when you looked up at him and you barely saw his darken but that was enough to spur you on, the only sign you needed that he wanted this as much as you both knew you did. “I just got upset seeing her touch you like that.”
“Ain’t like anything.” His voice vibrated through his chest and one of your hands pushed under the leather of his vest, rubbing the fabric of his shirt.
The pout you kept on your face as you started to take steps backward was deadly and as stubborn as he was, he was still a man. He followed you forward, only slightly urged by the tug on his vest, and when you sat down on the bottom bunk of the bed; he kept his eyes locked on you and the way you looked at him.
“Lay with me?” The question was innocent enough but you both knew better and he was turning his head to look at the measly cloth covering your cell.
Anybody walking past could potentially hear your conversation or even the slight shuffle of his feet as he kicked his boots off. Although nobody was rude enough to enter without announcing themselves, it’s not like you could sneak him out the back window.
That made it all the more exciting that he was seemingly agreeing despite the risk, moving his boots under your bed so they were out of the way and watching you expectantly.
You got out of the bed so he could climb in first (slightly trapping him between you and the wall) and you would have laughed at how tense his body was when he laid down if you weren’t already toeing the line before he typically rejected you and left.
You’d never been close to Daryl like this, the twin bed being so small you had no choice but to practically curl around his side and his entire body was stiffening up when you laid your head down on his shoulder.
“Did it go bad today?” Your voice was soft and you wondered how long it had been since you had an actual conversation without the wanting purr in your voice or the tension in the air.
He didn’t respond out loud but you hadn’t expected him too, accepting the low hum as him not wanting to talk about it.
It went silent again except for his deep breath when your arm wrapped around his chest and you picked your head up to be able to look at his face, scanning over his features from this new angle.
“Shouldn’t be going out there anymore.” He was talking again barely above a whisper and you knew he was referring to the fact you’d been going on runs more now that your dad had stepped back and you were getting older.
“I’m not a kid Daryl.” You had a light smile on your face as you said it but it was gone when he responded with a low scoff, like what you said was ridiculous. “I mean it, I’m not.”
You emphasized the statement by moving your hand down his chest, resting on his stomach instead and pushing lower until you were just near where his belly button would be. He was stiff and silent again but he’d never let you touch him like this before so you were practically vibrating from excitement.
His hand was roughly gripping your wrist when you brushed the leather on his belt but he didn’t throw you off of him, just stopping you from going any further down.
He looked pained when you moved your gaze back to his face and your pout formed again, catching on to the fact it seemed to be a weakness he had.
Clearly you were right considering he was using his grip on your wrist to move your hand back up to his stomach, letting it rest there surprisingly. He was finally taking his hand away and you almost mourned the loss of contact if it wasn’t for the fact he was bringing it upwards to brush your hair behind your ear.
“Why are you fighting this Daryl, why are you fighting me?” You brought your voice back down to a whisper and his eyes watched your lips as you spoke.
“Ain’t no pervert.” He was quick to respond this time and his rough knuckle gently rubbing over the smooth skin on your cheek, another obvious showcase of your differences. “Too young to want me like this.”
“I know you’re not a pervert.” You leaned into his touch and a small breath escaped him at the action. “But I am.”
He let out a short laugh at your blunt statement and you couldn’t help but smile down at him, glad he was relaxing somewhat even if his body was still tense against yours and he wasn’t letting you touch him yet.
“You have no idea how many times I’ve laid right here thinking about you.” Your voice sounded more familiar to him now, that typical low purr like you were trying to lure him in for the kill. “Touching myself wishing it was you.”
His eyes shut quickly almost like he was pained by what you were saying and the smirk playing on your lips nearly slipped through, hand running down his stomach again and feeling a surge of excitement when he made no move to stop you this time.
“Quit.” The gruffness barely registered in your ears and you pouted when he was shaking his head (more towards himself than you). “Stop runnin your mouth.”
“You could stuff it.” You were leaning in to whisper the words into his ear now and your hand was pushing up his shirt just enough that you could feel the trail of hair leading down into his jeans. “That would shut me up.”
His hips instinctively lifted off the bed at the feeling of your fingers drifting under his waistband and your mouth parted at how manly he really was, prominent happy trail accompanied by the earthly smell being enough to drive you even further in your fantasies about your age gap and the sheer difference between the two of you.
“Always working so hard to keep us all safe, just let me take care of you.” You were pushing past the point of no return with a graze of a kiss against his neck, hand under his belt now and lifting the waistband of his boxers.
Daryl surprisingly said nothing as you wrapped your hand around him but you could hear him grunting and feel the vibrations against your lips that were licking and sucking his warm skin, painting marks on his neck and whining softly when you felt how hard he was getting from the small movements.
His big rough hand was cupping your forearm again but this time he wasn’t trying to stop you from touching him, instead attempting to ground himself as you started to stroke him the best you could with the restriction of his jeans.
“Bet you’d fuck me so good.” You couldn’t stop yourself from breathing out the words to him even though part of you figured more dirty talk would scare him away faster, mouth still moving against his neck and jaw as you spoke in between the kissing. “Cock this big would stretch me open, might have to force me to take it.”
You were practically moaning even though he hadn’t touched you outside of the tight grip on your arm, overly turned on just because you had him in this position finally.
The words you were whispering had already made him close his eyes in a pained squint with his mouth parted to try to stop himself from grunting too loud, not at all engaging outside of allowing you to get him off with your small hand.
You were just breaking another kiss against his neck to speak again when you heard light shuffling right outside your blanket door, most likely just somebody walking around restless from the hard day but the small noise was enough for Daryl to completely stiffen up and throw you off of him before you could even process it.
He was up and off the bed quicker than your head could turn to stare at him and you watched with wide eyes as he threw the curtains open and disappeared down the prison hallway.
——
Leaving your room the next day was harder than you had imagined it would be and for the first time in a long time you felt yourself overwhelmed with embarrassment, an emotion not very common for you considering how hard you’d worked to be overly confident at all times.
“Something the matter?” Tyreese had the type of calming voice that always seemed to get into the corners of your frantic mind you sometimes didn’t even recognize, shoulders losing some tension as you sighed and glanced at him. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
“Just a long night.” You settled for the routine answer that any member of your group would give whenever the looked particularly troubled, a silent understanding that some things were just too hard to talk about.
He nodded with his pursed lips forming a light smile and you returned it when he was squeezing your arm softly and walking away, leaving you standing there in the common area and sighing to yourself again.
Daryl was nowhere to be seen for most of the day but you weren’t surprised by that, figuring he’d make himself scarce both to avoid you and because the guilt he’d feel whenever he’d speak to your dad or little brother.
Eventually the sun was setting again and almost like clockwork you were seeking him out, finding him in the corner of the cafeteria block speaking in a low voice to Carol and Beth.
You stayed still and watched him very carefully as he interacted with them both, your eyes scanning over his casual posture and the way he watched Carol as she walked away. Something nasty settled into your stomach at the same time as he squeezed Beth’s arm softly in some form of reassurance, almost exactly what Tyreese had done to you earlier but this left you silently fuming.
He had his shift in the watch tower tonight and you followed him up there after about an hour, making sure everybody else would be asleep so there was no room for interruption.
You didn’t knock on the door but you did push it open slowly enough that he could assume you weren’t a threat and wouldn’t be alarmed enough to defend himself. Peeking your head around the frame to see him in a tense position before sighing when he saw it was you.
There was no greeting or attempt at small talk and instead he went straight into ignoring you, pretending you weren’t leaning against the wall and watching him and he laid out a sleeping bag on the floor.
“I’m older than Beth.” Your voice was a little too loud for how silent the night air was but it got his attention at least and he paused to look at you for a second, face clouded in irritated confusion as he failed to see your point. “Why is it okay with her?”
“You’re ridiculous.” His answer was immediately delivered in a scoff as he stood to his full height, glaring at you from across the room.
“You’ve thought about her.” Your tone left no room for argument and he didn’t respond this time, chest falling and rising from the angry breaths he was taking.
He shocked you by being the first to approach, crossing the room in wide strides that would have scared you if you didn’t already know that Daryl would never hurt you even with the amount of upset radiating off of him.
You both stayed like that for a few silent moments, you with your back pressed against the wall and a calm gaze staring up at him and him full of emotion as he watched you carefully. The tip of his boots were almost touching your shoes from how close he was and you did nothing but watch him and wait.
“Listen closely little girl.” You could feel his breath on your face when he spoke and you instinctively leaned forward, satisfied when he didn’t move back and you could feel his chest against yours for just a second before his hand was pushing you back against the wall. “It ain’t like that.”
“But it could be.” Your voice came out in a whisper which confused you because you didn’t even realize you were speaking so softly, hand finding its favorite place on the hem of his leather vest. “I wouldn’t tell on you.”
You could’ve sworn that you heard his breath stagger when your hand was on him again, most likely remembering the last time you and him were in this position.
“Ain’t like that.” His tone had completely changed now as he looked down at you and you would’ve smiled at the obvious signs that he was giving in to you but you didn’t want to snap him out of it and remind him why you shouldn’t be talking like that.
“It is like that and you know it is.” You were nodding your head along your own words as you spoke and he was just standing there, watching you as you smoothed your palm over his chest and rubbed over his shoulder before going back downwards. “Come talk to me when you accept that.”
He seemed confused and (possible wishful thinking) disappointment when you were dragging your hand slowly off of him and returning it back to your side, watching him closely for a breath or two before sliding sideways and stepping back towards the stairs.
You didn’t expect him to stop you and he didn’t surprise you by doing so, letting you leave even though the conversation felt more open than it ever had.
——
It almost felt like the universe was playing a cruel joke on you by having your dad come and tell you that a run was scheduled for the next day.
Not only had you stayed up late, waiting for everyone to fall asleep so you could go and have another pointless argument with Daryl, but sleep hadn’t come easy at all. Apparently this was all having some weird effect on your conscious even though you still didn’t believe you were doing anything wrong in your pursuit.
Your dad had given little details but you knew that there wasn’t a run in the world that Daryl wouldn’t volunteer for and your stomach twisted in excitement at the thought of him being stuck around you for any amount of time.
He clearly didn’t share the same feelings because you could see his face drop as soon as he realized you were following your dad and Michonne past the gates as you approached the van and Daryl’s bike.
“Hell no.” He was quick to voice his disagreement and your dad sighed in a way that let you know they’d had a conversation about this before. “I told you I ain’t babysit.”
You felt the immediate sting of offense at his comment and your glare turned sharp as you looked at him, perched on the leather seat of his motorcycle and avoiding your piercing gaze that you knew he could feel.
“I don’t like it either, but she’s ready.” Your father had turned to give you a quick glance and your shoulders squared at the pride swimming in his gaze, knowing it was a big deal for him to be watching one of his children leave the safety of the prison even if you were an adult. “And I trust you more than anybody.”
It hadn’t dawned on you that there was nobody else down by the entrance gates and you only just noticed the fact Michonne had started to saddle up a horse and scribble on a small map.
Daryl seemed to process that you were going on the run together without anybody else at the same time as you did and his face grew darker whilst you broke out into a grin.
“We’ll be fine.” You were eager in the way you turned to plant a kiss on your dad’s cheek before taking a few steps closer to the archer who was watching you now with a scowl. “Right daddy?”
Your father clearly thought you were addressing him and attempting to get some type of comfort about your safety, nodding his head and starting to speak about something regarding the route you were meant to take.
Daryl wasn’t as foolish as his friend and knew exactly what you were doing, eyes locked on yours as you waited to see how long it would take for him to break away. He surprised you by holding your heated gaze until your dad was raising his voice as he wished you good luck and safe returns, giving him a quick head nod before he was clearing his throat and starting up his bike.
You were overly giddy as you approached and pulled yourself onto the back of it, sliding on easily and wasting no time before you were wrapping your arms around his middle.
He made a small grunting noise of annoyance at the feeling of your hands on his stomach but you ignored it until you were pulling away from the prison and out of sight of the other group members, squeezing him tighter and resting your head on his back now that you were in the free world.
If he was surprised that you didn’t try anything then he didn’t show it but you wondered if he thought about it.
Daryl couldn’t seem to figure out and your intentions out and every little thing you did threw him off more. He had come to terms with the fact that you wanted him in ways you shouldn’t, for whatever strange reason you did, but the way you looked at him occasionally (when you weren’t trying to get in his pants) was even more confusing.
The same type of confusion that stemmed from the way you softly rested your head on his back and kept it there for the entire hour ride to the small strip mall circled on the map.
You didn’t even complain when the bike eventually stopped and you climbed off slowly although he could see you wince from pain the stretch of your legs and vibration of the motor
caused.
“Good?” His voice was more hoarse than normal from how tight his throat had been the entire ride and your big round eyes looked up at him in surprise, looking the most innocent you had since the first few months he met you.
He could remember you back then clearly, a lost and confused girl who had just lost her father and went through the end of the world nearly alone. Lori had been overly concerned and paranoid about Carl and when she wasn’t doing that, she was off in the woods with Shane.
Daryl could remember sitting there at a dying fire, night after night, and watching the look on your young face as she brushed your brother’s hair or went off into the woods with the former officer.
He knew you were pretty, he’d be an idiot to not notice it, but he had never thought for a second past the initial observation. There had been a handful of times that he had to shut down Merle’s plans to make a pass at you, barking out the fact you were just a kid.
There had been dozen of things that Daryl had done when he was your age that proved he wasn’t just some kid but the soft look on your face was enough for him to feel a pang of panic the first time your gaze turned heated while looking at him.
“It’s been awhile.” Your voice was as soft as it was back then as you spoke and for a second he had forgotten what he asked you before your eyes drifted back over to the parked bike.
He nodded his head and gave no further reply despite the immediate regret at the dismissive action.
You did a good job following behind Daryl and listening for his almost silent cues about where to go and when, easily clearing the front room of the strip mall that would give you access to the connect stores.
He’d almost forgotten that you existed outside the prison and that you had survived for a long time, he’d almost forgotten you existed outside of his head at all.
It made him feel that much more stupid that you were effortlessly searching shelves and moving around seemingly finished off walkers while he could barely focus on where he was stepping. You had become his biggest distraction without him even realizing it and his eyes were locked on you the entire time, ignoring possibly good supplies around him.
You could feel his eyes on you and it was taking everything in your body to not smile at the knowledge, knowing he was constantly one stint of embarrassment away from closing off on you.
You’d picked up on the fact that Daryl had an issue with you ignoring him back at the prison with the random guy from Woodbury, seeing him get so irritated that he had actually pressed you on your advances for once.
The fact that was something that made the older man tick was bringing so much excitement to you that it was almost impossible to pretend to be impartial.
Your eyes widened when he opened the door to the next hallway and all you could see was knocked over shelves and cabinets. It looked almost unmovable but you stared at it long enough to see small wedges in between some of the metal, glancing over your shoulder to see if Daryl had noticed the same thing.
His eyes were already on you and he gave you a quick nod, waiting until you pressed you back against the door before he was moving forward and inching into the hallway.
For once your lust for him was coming secondary to concern as you watched him get deeper into the dark tight space, neither of you knowing what was on the other side or in between the fallen shelves.
You could hear him whistle under his breath and you perked up at the subtle command, scooting forward exactly like he did. Your smaller size allowed you to get there much faster than he did and he tensed up when he felt your hand wrapping around his bare arm.
“You won’t fit. I’ll go.” Your voice was lower than a whisper and you rocked onto your tippy toes so you were closer to his ear.
He shot you a glare at the suggestion and it was just bright enough that you could see the hardness on his face at the idea of you going forward alone into a space he couldn’t easily get to.
“Ain’t happening.” He was shaking his head and chewing the inside of his lip, your hand tightening around his arm until you released your grip and softly rubbed it absentmindedly. “Your dad wou-“
“My dad isn’t here.” You got louder than you should’ve and you both immediately held your breath to listen in and make sure nothing had heard your small outburst, annoyed at his constant need to place your father between you even in times like this. “I’m here and you’re too big to fit.”
Although you had lowered your voice back to a whisper, he still was tense as he stared down at you.
You sighed softly at his stubbornness but the fact that you were stood toe to toe in a dark and tight space was catching up to you, a low heat building in your stomach despite the danger on both sides of the hallway.
He didn’t even seem to be breathing as your hand rubbed up his arm before coming to his neck, trailing along it and eventually cupping his jaw in a way that made him tilt his head against the touch. You figured it was instinctive but you still smiled at the smallest show of acceptance from him.
Daryl was both tired from the long day and overly frustrated after being around you alone without your attention on him so he didn’t stop you when you were leaning against his chest and pulling his face down towards yours.
Your lips just barely grazed his before you were pausing and looking through your eyelashes at him, pleased to see his gaze had turned low and heated. He clearly was about to let you kiss him but you knew the run was too important to let yourself get distracted even if the opportunity was one of a kind.
“Let’s hurry up and get out of here.” Your familiar purr of a voice was back and he almost nodded in acceptance before remembering what you had been requesting and steeling up.
“Nah.” He was quick to step back away from you and you could do nothing but call his name as he ducked under a fallen cabinet and disappeared down the hallway, leaving the stretch of light that had allowed you to make out his figure moving in front of you.
You stood there for a few silent seconds with your heart in your throat, pounding so hard you thought you might get sick. You couldn’t hear him moving through the dark anymore and you were starting to quickly panic.
“Daryl.” Your voice came out louder than it should’ve and you pulled your knife back out of its holster, glancing behind you with fearful eyes at the sound of walkers groaning and searching for the source of the noise. “Daryl please.”
You knew it was stupid to continue to call out to him but you were driven forward by worry for him as you went more breaths without an answer from the other side of the hallway.
Whispered curses escaped you as you gritted your teeth and put your knife back as you readied yourself to duck under the metal and follow him into the dark, only getting to slightly bend over before you felt something grabbing roughly at your ankle.
Being unprepared allowed the walker to immediately pull your foot from out underneath you and you hit the ground so hard you saw stars for a second, gaining awareness at the exact moment you realized you had been screaming.
You were quickly at the walker with a fearful sob as you tried to search for your knife that had fallen loose from its holster, a breathy gasp leaving you when you heard the metal shelf above you shaking and whining from the force of the walker pressing into it.
You were stuck between being crushed by the weight of it and pushing yourself closer to the walker, its hands digging deep into the fabric of your boot in an attempt to drag you closer to its snapping jaw. The silent hallway had exploded in the sounds of you fighting to escape so you barely heard the metal being thrown around behind you.
Daryl had cleared the hallway in a fraction of the time it took him to get through it and you slumped fully against the floor when his boot was coming down hard on the walkers head.
You scrambled backwards to get away from the gore as he delivered a few more unnecessary stomps, grunts of anger escaping him that made you jump a little with each sound.
“Daryl.” Your soft and scared voice calling out for him seemed to immediately pull him back out of his rage and his gaze snapped over to you, entire face softening when he saw the expression you had.
He was quick to lower himself on the floor next to you, seemingly not even noticing the blood and remained of the skull he’d just smashed seeping into the fabric of his jeans. His rough hand was coming softly to cup the back of your head and help you sit up, being abandoned in the air when you quickly got to your knees and threw yourself against him in a hug.
“You’re alright, I got you.” His low voice and reassurance was lighting a spark in your emotions and you embarrassingly felt a sob build up, swallowing it and focusing on the vibrations of his chest against your cheek.
“I should’ve listened to you.” Your words were muffled but he squeezed your shoulders tighter at the sound of you placing blame on yourself. “I’ll stay at the prison.”
You lifted your head just enough to be able to see the pained look on his face, torn between the thought of you being out here with him where it was dangerous versus the idea that you’d be back home where he couldn’t protect you.
The two of you stayed like that for a few seconds, staring at each other and weighing your options and the fact that your life could have been over if one factor was slightly different.
He seemed to know what you were planning before you even shifted because suddenly his lips were pressed against yours and you couldn’t tell who initiated it.
Daryl kissing you felt like everything suddenly clicked and you couldn’t imagine a world where something this good could lead to anything wrong. You were quick to kiss him back with all the passion and none of the experience, mouth moving desperately against his.
The feeling of your hands on his vest and arms was familiar by now but he still tensed at the skin on skin contact, immediately distracted by the whine you let out when his bicep flexed as he shifted his weight.
“Please.” Your voice was breathy and he almost felt like he was going to pass out hearing it.
If he thought you were an issue to his focus before than he was definitely screwed now seeing you look up at him with your swollen lips and pleading eyes, looking like you’d just pass away if he didn’t give you what you wanted.
Daryl had come to terms with the fact that he wasn’t as strong as he thought he was a long time ago and he knew it was only a matter of time but that still didn’t prepare him for how he’d feel after almost losing you and having to live a life of regret and missed opportunity.
For once, he didn’t have a second thought when he was laying against the ground as gently as he could and the resolve finally ran out when he followed right after.

Hey hey Suzuuuu
I hope you can see this request..
It’s a nsfw
I would like to request Wanderer x shy fem reader at Sumeru Akademiya, a new student came in and its reader who is shy to introduce herself. And the teacher told the new student to sit next to Wanderer and Wanderer finds it annoying when he preferred to be alone.
At some time, Wanderer becomes like a bully when he likes to tease and make fun of fem reader only to see her reactions, and it makes him like want to corrupt her innocence.
wanderer (scaramouche) x fem!reader. smut corruption. fingering. bullying. minor degradation.
i want to sincerely thank everyone for letting me take my time and go through requests at my own pace 😭🥺 i feel bad, though.
wanderer only went to class that day because nahida insisted on walking him there. if she hadn't, he would gone right out into the forest to hide and maybe nap in a tree for awhile. a more valuable use of his time, in his opinion, but nahida insisted that the akademiya would be good for him.
he could practically taste your innocence the moment you walked through the lecture hall door. it was pure in a way he hadn't considered still existed. through his sheer annoyance at you being seated next to him (his table was the only empty seat. he could totally see why), he shot you a glare that sent an unexpected shiver up your spine.
"don't think we are going to be friends because you are sitting next to me," he wanted to level with you right here and now. "99% of the time, i won't even be here."
"oh, that's fine," you replied, organizing your books and tucking some hair behind your ear. "i'm not here to make friends. i am here to learn," you pursed your lips, and offered him a soft smile, "my family also has high expectations of me."
"i didn't ask," wanderer replied, crossing his arms and finding a spot to fixate on and stare at for the rest of the class. chances are he knew more things politically than the professor. the asshole who wrote that essay about what he thought happened on tatarasuna sure thought he knew everything.
still though, as much as he hates it, he kept looking at you from the corner of his eye. it was easy for him to tell what kind of girl you are in these moments. you certainly had no issue sitting there, looking pretty while you listened with such foolish intent. you even took notes on the smallest, most useless things.
did you think this knowledge may come in use later?
judging from your explanation earlier, wanderer knew exactly what to capitalize on and take advantage of.
he didn't expect you to have the most interesting reactions when he bullied you.
"it must be so hard for you," wanderer cooed condescendingly, watching you survey the mess he made by knocking all your books out of your hands. "always being a goody goody. doing your homework on time, never missing class," sighing, he kicked one of notebooks out of the way as you reached down to pick it up. "you have be getting crushed under the weight."
"i..i am just so clumsy," you stumbled over your words a little, clearly flustered. wanderer licked his lips. you are just so interesting. he'd just been so mean to you. anyone should've snapped or fought back. but not you. you had the shyest flush on your cheeks. were you enjoying this?
as for you, you are. the more interactions you have with wanderer bullying you, with his enchanting electric eyes and condescending purr to his voice, the wetter you got. it was embarrassing to you. a fact that you had a hard time coming to terms with. at first.
he even used a small gust of anemo to knock your water bottle out of your hand one day, tossing water all over your shirt (it was to see your nipples harden in your bra from cold the water was), but you only looked at him with further adoration.
but his bullying just felt so good. you couldn't possibly tell him that you often fingered yourself until you were a wet, twitching mess at night after classes.
in wanderer's still very twisted mind, corrupting you would be helping you. he didn't even know when he started coming to class everyday, but you were starting to look like you weren't sleeping well. your hands shook while you took tests.
the moment you felt wanderer's hand dip into your panties for the first time, parting your folds and grazing your clit, your hips immediately jerked up to grind on his fingers. fingers that you always thought are so ungodly beautiful it should be considered a crime.
a moan you didn't even mean to let out sounded from you. the more those beautiful fingers stroked your pussy, the more it throbbed and clenched. your eyes widened in an aroused desperation, your hole clenching around the tips of his fingers as he prodded them teasingly at your entrance.
"you poor thing," wanderer cooed, "this is probably the best you have felt ever," he slowly wagged the pads of his fingers on your clit, tearing mewls from you as he just as teasingly pinched your clit. "you are so fucking wet, your cunt will suck my fingers in."
your clit throbbed, feeling shamelessly compelled to rub your soaking pussy on his fingers. "i thought you had to get to class?" he continued. your eyes widened as he started to take his hand out of your panties. "do you know how foolish it is to try and please everyone all the time?"
your hand shot out to grasp his wrist. "no, please. i don't want to go anywhere. i want to stay right here with you," you urged his hand between your legs again. "please," your eyes watered in desperation.
wanderer chuckled. did you have an idea how much of a turn on you are in general? you, the good and innocent girl was begging to skip class and stay with him with your legs spread on his bed. fuck, you deserve to have your pretty pussy stuffed full with his fingers. "who knew you are really such a slut?"
you are breaking so well under the weight of his corruption. you couldn't think about anything other than the need to feel his fingers fucking into you. thoughts you'd never had before about anyone. until wanderer.
"good girl," he tuggedyour panties off, his cock straining from watching the soaked material peel off your pussy. "moan for me while i break you. it's what you want the most, no?" he pushed two fingers inside of you, stretching you apart and hooking them to the knuckle into your sweet spot.
you nodded, jolts of pleasure crackling through you. your eyes nearly rolled closed in pleasure as he started pumping his fingers. they would've had he not put a hand on your jaw. "no, no, kitten. i wanna see those pretty eyes of yours while i make you cum," he gently squeezed your jaw to remind you of your place.
it is erotic to him how some of your moans even had a tinge of shock in them. you are coming apart so fast, your body only relaxing and submitting to him. he was devouring you, and nothing has ever felt better in your whole life.
the pumps of his fingers grew more aggressive with your consistent moans. he stretched your pussy apart so perfectly, sussing out every sensitive spot between your walls effortlessly. "a third finger, please," you moan, rocking your hips up extra to convey your plea.
wanderer was more than happy to oblige you. he abruptly added a third finger, bullying it against your sweet spot. a near scream of pleasure tore from your throat. "are you feeling good, slut?" his cock pulsed as your walls snapped tighter around his fingers. you obviously enjoy being degraded. "you'll tend to my cock next, yes?"
you struggled to even nod, your cheeks flushed with adoration. "yes! i want to more than anything!" you cried out, stroking his wrist in appreciation as your orgasm curled tighter, your juices frothing and gathering on the insides of your thighs.
"oh? more than going to class or pleasing your family?" wanderer couldn't wait for your inevitable response. a response that would no doubt make him want to impale you on his cock even more. he couldn't break you too fast.
could he?
"yes, yes please! so much more than..than.." your words fell away, the knot of your orgasm building and tightening to an almost overwhelming degree. "anything!" you barely managed to cry out, twitching and writhing as you scrambled to chase the wonderful high unlike any other that he was providing.
wanderer couldn't help but laugh shakily, slowly stroking his cock. you look more beautiful breaking than he imagined. he knew he didn't have to keep his hand on your chin anymore. you couldn't and wouldn't dream of taking your eyes off. not when he'd demanded you to keep looking at him while you cum.

note-taking
pairing: Sebastian Sallow x f!MC
word count: 3,6k
summary: mc loves flustering sebastian with her notes during class😇
cw: NONE this is just fluff, mutual pining, idiots in love, it takes a while for them to admit their feelings, I rated it M for some language/sexual themes
a/n: I laughed a lot as I wrote this on the train, I hope you enjoy reading about these two idiots (endearing) as much as I did writing them
A beetle slowly makes its way across Sebastian Sallow's desk.
The classroom is silent - save for the scratching of quills furiously calculating the Arithmatic probability of who will be the next Minister and the quiet murmur of his professor as she helps Hobhouse (how did he even get into the N.E.W.T. level?) - and Sebastian is going absolutely mad.
He counts how many seconds it takes for the beetle to reach his abandoned quill (fifteen). But, when it takes its seventh step after making it over the quill (an auspicious sign), Sebastian slams his hand down on top of it.
The loud noise echoes through the silent classroom and Sebastian hears her snickering coming from behind him as the whole class turns to see what has happened. His ears turn red, he wishes he could jinx her somehow, and yet he is terribly curious to see what she has sent him this time. Sebastian hopes that everyone has gone back to their equations and stops staring at him, because now that it's in his hands, his fingers are itching to open it. His hands eagerly - shamefully eager, if you ask him - unravel the note he's crumpled up in his hands - almost a shame that he destroyed the beetle, it was one of her better creations - and Sebastian soon curses his haste.
His ears would be an even deeper shade of red were his blood not currently draining to a different part of his body. Sebastian shifts uncomfortably in his seat as he continues reading the note, his eyes flying across the tiny note once, twice, three times before he crumples it up and adds it to the graveyard of the other notes she has been sending him all day. The words fuck my soaking cunt flash up at him and he adjusts his schoolbag so that if anyone were to walk past and look into it, they wouldn't suspect a thing.
You see, this has been going on all week. Sebastian knew that when his seventh year started, it was going to be the culmination of their academic rivalry, but he never expected this. That witch has made taunting him her personal vendetta, and it's working.
Sebastian can't get her out of his mind.
It started in Herbology on Monday, at exactly 7.37 in the morning. Sebastian had been sitting next to Ominis, both complaining under their breaths at how early Professor Garlick had made them wake up (something about the plants blooming - Sebastian can't remember now). He had seen a little snake slither past Ominis's hands, making its way directly to him, and he does remember that he thought it was quite strange that Ominis didn't seem to react to the snake's presence. And then - he took a closer look at it - he saw that it was made of paper. Curious, Sebastian had thought as he grabbed and unfolded it. Reading it started an unfortunate chain of events.
It started out innocently enough, he supposes. Well, if you can call the most indecent thing he's ever read innocent, then it started out innocently.
Sallow - let me just say how absolutely delicious you look in your jacket this morning. I find I want to rip it off of your broad shoulders. Did you hit a growth spurt this summer?
He had flushed, briefly glanced over his shoulder - maybe he could see a face as flushed as his was, watching his reaction, but nothing - before looking back to the note, squinting at the familiar (familiar?) handwriting when Ominis had interrupted him.
"Sebastian? I think we need to start trimming the budding flowers now..."
His voice had blended in with the buzzing in Sebastian's ears as he stared intently down at the note in his hands. He had soon figured out who sent it - how could he not recognize her handwriting? - and the rest of Herbology class had been an absolute disaster. He had spent the whole rest of his time haphazardly massacring his plants and ignoring Ominis's pleas for help as he ruminated on her and what did she mean by her note? Her maddening laughter floated over the sound of tiny, precise snips as Sebastian's classmates did as they were supposed to, boring into his mind as he tried his hardest to figure out what she was up to.
Her plan's working, whatever it is. Sebastian has been frustrated to no end. She's nobody to him, just Anne's annoying best friend. Well, that's not entirely true, and Sebastian doesn't like to lie to himself. She was his closest friend last year, and the year before...ever since she arrived at Hogwarts, really. They did everything together, but something had changed when she visited that summer.
She had spent less time laughing with him, instead choosing to whisper with Anne about Merlin knows what, sometimes looking at him with an expression he couldn't place that had started to drive him crazy.
Sebastian had decided that a certain someone made no sense, that he would ignore the strange way his stomach would flip in her presence, and that he would focus all of his energy into besting her at everything. Maybe if she was embarrassed about being inferior to him, she would stop all of this. Although he would never admit it, he had started having nightmares about her gasping beneath him and needing him, that strange look from the summer flashing in dream-her's eyes, blissful fantasies that have him waking up hard and needing to cast a silencing charm around his bed before he can start his days.
Needless to say, these dreams have become infinitely worse this week.
What started out as a joke has quickly spiraled into an obsession. She soon finds herself watching Sebastian with breathless anticipation every time she sends a note over to him, relishing in the deep flush of his cheeks as he sneaks glances over his shoulder at her.
She doesn't really know what possessed her to start in the first place. A stroke of daring, she supposes as she finishes her latest note with a flourish and charms it to fold itself into a tiny swallow. And, she muses, watching the bird fly towards its victim, it's rather fun to fluster him so.
It's what he deserves, after all, after she has spent a whole year pining after him. A whole bloody year of sighing as he leaned over her shoulder in the library to point at something in her textbook, of his chin resting on top of her head, of warm breath tickling her ears, of watching him defeat every opponent in Crossed Wands, of watching him laugh despite himself at her little quips in Transfiguration. Of making sure -
She stifles a smile as she watches Sebastian eagerly grab the swallow as it flitters towards him. At first, he had tried acting nonchalant, like a cat biding its time before it pounces. Ignoring the notes she's been sending until he can't stand it and then: squashing them, smashing them, trapping them in his large hands, long fingers eager to unfold the note and see what she has to say.
Now, he has abandoned any pretense of aloofness he might have had before.
She can see it in the rigid set of his shoulders. The tension releases somewhat every time he opens a note, but quickly returns as he crumples them up and adds them to his collection. She hopes he's getting as wound up as she is, hopes that he's beginning to know an ounce of the suffering he has been putting her through.
A small voice in the back of her head tells her that she's being unfair, that maybe he's just oblivious - but then, why would he have looked at her like that all summer? And - almost the most maddening thing of all - ever since their seventh year started, he has made it a point to try and best her in every class. She couldn't move on from her silly little crush even if she wanted to, when his deep voice cuts through hers every single class to answer first, when he's always right ahead of her in Potions to get the best ingredients, when he's the one standing across from her in the mock duels in Hecat's class and as he raises his wand and her breath catches in her throat and -... Well, it's only fair, then, that she tries to distract him during class.
She's wondering what the next note should say, is lightly rubbing the edges of the quill's feather against her lips - did she go too far with the latest note? - when the scraping of a chair next to her pulls her out of her thoughts. She jumps at the jarring noise, the quill clatters on the table as it falls, and she feels her own face flush when she sees Sebastian sprawling himself out in the seat right next to hers.
There's a look on his face that she's never seen before and she feels as if all of the air has left her body when he leans in close to her - she could start counting his freckles if her brain hadn't gone completely empty - warm breath tickling her ear as he breathes, "What do you think you're doing?"
She hasn't thought this far ahead.
Why hadn't it occurred to her that Sebastian might confront her about the notes?
"I..." she falters, trying to get her thoughts working again, so that she can find something to say to get her out of this situation. Because she didn't actually want him to notice her, did she? And, what could she possibly say in defense of the filthy things she's been sending him all week? She can't seem to break eye contact with him: she swallows nervously: she tries again: "I -"
Her words fail her once again, when Sebastian's warm hand comes to rest on top of her thigh. Her thick wool skirt might be acting as a barrier between them, but it somehow feels like he's touching her bare skin and her whole body heats up uncontrollably. Even like this, his touch is better - more electric - than what she's been imagining this whole time.
He turns away and pulls parchment out with the hand that isn't actively caressing her thigh, and reaches across her for the quill that has fallen from her fingers. She hears scratching as he starts working on his equations - she vaguely thinks that she should be working on them too, isn't she supposed to be trying to do better than him? But -... her breathing is shallow - all of her nerve endings have seemingly migrated to the spot on her inner thigh that Sebastian's thumb is now massaging in tiny circles - maybe her brain has just packed its bags and left on holiday to Bath for all the use it's giving her now.
He doesn't even spare her a glance during the rest of the class, continues to diligently work on his equations for the first time all week, but his large hand remains on her thigh, completely obliterating any thought from her mind that doesn't have something to do with the warmth that keeps pooling deep in her stomach at his touch.
When the class is blissfully (unfortunately) over, Sebastian finally pulls his hand away and she squeaks in protest against her wishes - her thigh is now cold - that must be it (just discomfort, that's all) - she doesn't feel the relief she thought she would at his absence. He smirks down at the parchment he's rolling up, packs everything into his school bag, and leaves her behind without his eyes darting to hers even once.
Seven notes.
She has sent Sebastian seven bloody notes over the course of the last three days, and as he looks over at the crumpled up papers sitting on the desk in his dorm room, notes he tried his best to smooth out, he feels his heart race increase. He doesn't understand why she's doing this, but he does understand how it's making him feel. He could barely even think during Arithmancy, knowing how much his presence was affecting her, feeling her warm thigh under his hand. And when she protested when he removed his hand, well. He had to get out of there as fast as possible.
Maybe it's a good thing she didn't have the presence of mind to look at his arithmatic equations during class, because they are, unfortunately, incomprehensible. He had to keep up the charade by pretending to scribble for the rest of class, but now he almost regrets it - almost - because his pride won't allow him to ask Amit for his notes.
Sebastian has spent the evening poring over his textbook, trying to make sense of something that should be coming easily to him - Anne doesn't tease him about his strange obsession with numbers for no reason - and yet, his eyes keep wandering over to her notes. (Why did he even take them out of his bag in the first place?) (Why hasn't he burned those blasted things yet?) He has decided to forego studying in the library, the common room, and the Undercroft (places where he might see the object of his inner turmoil), and yet he is still getting nothing done even in the peaceful silence of his dormitory. Because her letters are shouting at him.
Well, not really, as they aren't Howlers. They might as well be, though, with how much he has reread them since he took them out of his bag. A smile spreads across his face despite himself as he puts his plaid jacket - the one he wore on Monday - on his chair to wear tomorrow. That stupid smile doesn't leave his face as he brushes his teeth next to Ominis before bed (thanking Merlin that Ominis is blind and can't pester him about what he cannot see), nor does it leave as he tries to fall asleep that night.
Suffice it to say, Sebastian does not get much sleep that night.
"...caught her snogging Prewett in the boathouse."
"Oh Merlin." A giggle. "I wonder if he's any good. Don't look at me like that, I know you've wondered the same thing..."
She blushes as she tucks her head down, trying to concentrate on the reading before her but it's difficult. First, because Sacharissa is being entirely too loud as she gossips with Grace - they might be some of the first at breakfast, but that doesn't mean they're alone - and second, because she is reading the book she filched from Sacharissa's bag. It's been charmed to look like a History of Magic textbook (nobody would ever be interested enough in one of those to filch it back) and she hopes that it's enough to make sure that no one distracts her in her research.
She has never had experience of the amorous sort before, and she has run out of things to put in the letters she's been sending to Sebastian - they were all just things she had been thinking, or things that she's overheard the boys saying when they thought they were alone. But what she's been reading in Sacharissa's novel - if it can even be called that - are enough to make her so hot and bothered that she's not sure if she should retreat back to her dorm room to read it in peace. As her eyes fly over the words, she pictures Sebastian doing those things to her, with her, and it's enough to make it so she's not even sure she can look him in the eye ever again. The feeling of his hand on her thigh the day before has imprinted itself on her body and in her brain and she barely got any sleep because of it.
"What are you reading?" asks Anne as she plops herself down on the bench, trying to look over her shoulder. She flinches and slams her book shut as fast as possible, feeling her traitorous face heat up. She knows she's making it all more suspicious, but Anne cannot find out. Anne shrugs and starts buttering her toast, stifling a yawn. "I never knew that the Vampire Treatises of the 15th century were so interesting. By the way, have you seen my brother at all? I couldn't find him last night and - Oi, Sebastian!"
Anne stands halfway up and starts waving him over, and she wishes she could vanish. Maybe, instead of researching fresh ways to torture him, she should have been learning how to most effectively vanish oneself from the face of the Earth. She's sure the heat she feels burning her cheeks as she sees him walk over to them is translating to her face being a bright, red, ugly beacon calling to him.
As he walks over to their table, looking entirely too irresistible in that plaid jacket of his, Merlin, his growth spurt really -
"Ladies," he says, nodding at them as he takes a seat across the table, "how did you sleep?"
She knows he's giving her a pointed look as he asks, but she has started to choke on the pumpkin juice she started drinking as he walked over - she is, unfortunately, picturing them doing some of the filthy things she's just read together - and could she really make more of a fool of herself than she already has at this point? But then - he grabs her book. Her heart lurches but she can't do anything due to the fact she's still spluttering over her pumpkin juice, and she watches in horrified fascination as he starts flicking through the pages. His eyebrows raise steadily higher and higher as he reads, his own face turning a shade of red she's certain matches her own. She curses herself again - vampires are so interesting, of course he would want to read about them - she should have made the cover a topic she knows Sebastian hates, like a compendium of spells to boost fingernail growth or a Duncan Hobhouse biography - but it's too late now.
Sebastian clears his throat and glances at her, and she sees uncertainty, vulnerability in his eyes as they make brief contact with hers. Finally her brain starts working - quite possibly for the first time since she started this stupid game in Herbology on Monday - and she hastily stands up, snatching the book from Sebastian's hands - he puts up no resistance - and clutches it to her chest as she blurts out in one breath: "I-slept-terribly-last-night-and-it's-all-thanks-to-you."
And now, she's fleeing the Great Hall, wondering what's gotten into her.
She next sees Sebastian during their Ancient Runes class. Well, she doesn't actually see him: she's made it a point to be the first to enter the class, and keeps her head down as she stares at her parchment the second everything is set up perfectly. Inkwell - parchment - her stupid replacement quill - textbook - everything is in place. After the disastrous event otherwise known as breakfast, she's decided that she's over her silly little crush, and she will never think about Sebastian Sallow again. She will never think about things she might say that will make him laugh again, she will never think of book recommendations again, she will certainly never think of his strong hands caressing her thigh again, and she will never, ever -
A tiny paper fox climbs into her hand.
I didn't get any sleep last night either, because of you. P.S. I still have your quill.
She flushes and looks over her shoulder. Sebastian flashes her a crooked smile that makes her stomach lurch in an unfamiliar way, before he ducks his head down and continues to scribble his translations with her quill. Her quill. A new flash of hatred surges through her - that's what these intense feelings must be - and she decides she needs to get it back.
Instead of translations, she hatefully scribbles down everything that she wants to do to Sebastian Sallow - she wants punch his stupid face, wait: she wants to kiss his stupid freckled face and hold his silly beautiful hands and she wants to feel the deep rumble of his laugh after her jokes as she rests her head on his shoulder and she wants to read next to him and have things be back to how they always were, and yet she wants more than that, more than just being friends, it's what she's wanted all along, isn't it? - and she marches after him when the class has finished.
Sebastian doesn't spare her a glance even though he has to know she's behind him with how much noise her frustrated huffing makes as they weave through the throngs of students in the hallways. It's lunchtime, and yet instead of heading to the Great Hall, he's leading her somewhere else.
He finally stops when they reach the top of the Astronomy Tower, and she opens her mouth to protest. She knows she's terribly flushed, her chest heaving as she glares up at him: "You are despicable! I need my quill -"
She's cut off from speaking as before she knows it, his hands are caressing her face and he is kissing her. Oh, Merlin, it's better than she could have hoped it to be, and her own traitorous body and mind have forgotten the alliance formed against him in the face of Sebastian Sallow's persistence and she's wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him down closer, making sure he can't get away from her again.
Maybe later she can show him all of her notes on how much she hates him and they can have a laugh. Maybe later they can revisit some passages from the book she filched.
But right now, she doesn't let go of Sebastian.

A DAMN GOOD ACTOR
You're a cookie that's been sent on a mission to the Spire Of Deceit, with the intent to get close to Shadow Milk Cookie and break his heart. The plan is to leave him confused and vulnerable, so your side can have even the slightest advantage when facing him during the upcoming war against the Beasts.
Surprisingly, you've done your job of playing pretend rather well (Your acting skills may or may not have improved thanks to him, ironically), and eventually, on one particular day, when push comes to shove...
You complete your task.
Potential Warnings: Shadow Milk Cookie is kinda genuinely obsessed with you in this, but it's pretty tame compared to some of the other stuff out there.
Shadow Milk Cookie's always loved to have all eyes on him. He's a performer, that's what he does, and he's very good at it! And he knows that, too.
So when you caught his attention, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for him. Just like everyone else that had come across his path, you didn't mean anything to him at first.
...
Keyword "at first".
But then he saw something within you.
Something you've wanted to keep hidden, and was planning to take to the grave when you inevitably crumbled.
Something darker, something sinister.
A feeling of desire, of longing for something more, to be something more. Something more than this.
So he recruited you! Duh.
...And then paid attention to you.
And then you became closer.
And then you became inseparable.
You knew how he felt- At least, you've started to suspect it. But he was never open about it, of course he wasn't.
So, on a particular day, when you finally felt the time was right... You practically cornered him for answers.
...
"Be honest for once in your life," You know you're asking for a lot.
"Am I being like Candy Apple Cookie to you?"
He lets out a laugh.
"Come on now. All this time together and you still don't trust me?"
You tilted your head, smiling as you raised a brow.
"You're not just an ordinary cookie to me, you know!" He flew over to you, making eye contact as he turned himself upside down in the air.
"Oh? How come?"
...And he suddenly cringes, backing off.
He knows what you're trying to pull. You're trying to get him to say what he likes about you.
"..."
No. Not this time. You're so close to completing your mission, you just needed that one final push.
You grab him by his ruffle collar, yanking him close again.
And for once, he's... Frozen, looking at you with a confused smile? What's, uh, what's happening...?
"How do you really feel about me, Shadow Milk Cookie?"
Ah.
He remains flabbergasted for a few more seconds, before his expression shifts to anger.
"Let go of me." He demanded.
"Answer me." You shot back.
Why isn't it WORKING. Why aren't you letting go. Even with the most serious, anger-filled expression he can muster, it does nothing to you.
You're like Pure Vanilla Cookie sometimes. He tries EVERY trick in the book on you, and yet, nothing quite WORKS. Maybe it does for a while, but you're always adapting.
It's a reaction once, then a small one, and then none at all.
That's another one of the many reasons he feels like he can't get enough of you.
He'd never admit it, of course, but perhaps a part of him was obsessed- He always had his eyes on you.
You gave him a challenge.
He wanted to terrify you, to make you laugh, to make you frown.
He hated you, he loved you.
Whereas everyone else praised or feared his influence, his power- You made him feel... Small. UGH.
You made him feel like nothing, but also everything.
After a while of you just staring at each other's eyes, he's forced to teleport to get out of your grasp.
"You really want to know?"
You gave him a singular nod.
God, you're driving him INSANE.
"FINE."
He rolls his eyes.
Suddenly, the two of you are on the top of the spire. He's leaning his back against one of the pillars, his hair dangling off the edge as he has his arms crossed.
His face? Unamused.
...
But then he hovers up to you, quicker than you can comprehend. He's flying above you as he's in a lying position, barely enough to look down on you.
You're looking at him, but not quite.
Your eyes are looking up at him, but your head remained low.
He sucked in the air through his teeth, his lying position turning to him standing, still hovering above the ground.
Still looking down at you.
He turns around for a moment, mumbling under his breath in frustration before turning back to face you.
He reaches out and gently places a hand on your cheek, causing you to raise a brow again.
His expression- It's a mix of a lot of things.
Reluctance, disgust, maybe even the tiniest hint of nervousness.
Time feels like it has stopped.
Moreso than usual.
He knows he's going to regret this... But what's life without a little bit of risk, right?!
He leans in, raising your chin up, then finally closes the gap between you.
...
It only lasts for a second.
And then he pulls away, cowardly backing off again.
You're silent. WHY ARE YOU SILENT.
He's looking at you.
He's waiting for a reply.
An action.
Something, please give him SOMETHING.
Say something, do something, ANYTHING.
PLEASE.
...
But you only keep looking at him.
Looking at him with that same blank stare.
And he...
...
He sinks into himself.
Oh.
Ow.
He practically deflates like a balloon, slowly moving downwards until his feet hit the ground.
Ow ow ow.
Ow, he doesn't like this.
Ouchy.
This is not a good type of pain.
He knew this pain- The pain of bitter truth. The pain he founded this entire new world in order to avoid.
Is this what it feels like to get your heart broken? To get rejected?
He's never gotten rejected before.
Well, that's debatable...
But never like this.
Never under these circumstances. He knew that if he said the right things and acted the right way, he could get what he wanted from anyone else.
But he doesn't want "anyone else", he wants YOU.
Was he so stupid for trying to use honesty for once? You ASKED.
What does he say now? That you'll regret this? It's never worked. And he doesn't want you to hate him, so.
Ugh, why does he even CARE.
WHY does he bother.
...
You rolled his eyes at his state.
God, he looks like a sad wet cat. This idiot...
...
But you had to do what you had to do.
You take a step forward, and for once, he doesn't notice. Seems like he's too caught up in his wittle feelies to quite look at you.
You take another step.
And then another.
And another.
Until you're in front of him again.
"Shadow Milk Cookie."
He's suddenly alert again.
"...Yeeees?"
He forces the usual facade, smiling.
But you're used to his personality just shifting like this to disguise everything underneath.
You know now.
"Did you..."
"You didn't actually think I could ever fall in love with you, right?"
"Your feelings were just another lie, right?"
Owie... . . . . .
"That's not a very nice joke, y'know!"
A joke where he's the punchline.
Karma.
"Good. I hope it hurts. Now you know how you make everyone else feel."
...He doesn't say anything.
Usually he has a comeback for this.
Little ol' him? Playing mean jokes? Never!
...
But not this time.
"I thought- I thought..."
"You thought you knew me, didn't you. So much for being the Master Of Deceit..."
You chuckled.
"How dare you" He wishes he'd say.
But he doesn't.
Deep down, he had a hunch. He wasn't THAT stupid.
But he was hoping.
Hoping for that one little chance.
...Okay, maybe he was stupid.
And now look at him.
Now, he's the silly one.
What is this.
Why does this feel different?
It doesn't make SENSE for this to feel different.
Those under his influence praised him all the time. His every move, hell, even his every breath- There wasn't a SECOND they didn't love him.
You're doing something- You're doing something to him. No, you've done something to him.
He's confused, vulnerable.
...
And your job here is done.
"That's my cue to leave."
"Goodbye, Shadow Milk Cookie."
He needs to follow you.
Why isn't he following you.
Why can't he MOVE.
He can't just let you go, you're too important.
He needs to get revenge on those who put you up to this.
He needs to get you back.
You need to be his. You have to. You...
He began clapping. Who is he clapping for? You, obviously! You're the star of the show!
"Bravo, bravo!"
"What a performance, tricking the Master Of Deceit himself! What an actor, I must say!"
He's gotten used to this by now.
He had a role to play, and he played it well.
But you knew you had gotten to him.
And that was all you wanted.
You walk away, descending down the stairs, leaving him cheering for you at the top of the spire.
Eventually, the clapping ceases.
And he exhales through his teeth.
First Pure Vanilla Cookie walked away with half his Soul Jam, and now you walked away with half his heart.
He shuts his eyes, gripping at his hair and pulling in frustration. Oh, how he wants to scream and shout.
He feels something escape and roll down his cheek. But is he going to address it? NO. Of course not.
He had done SUCH a good job building these literal and metaphorical walls so NO ONE could reach him.
But you did. Despite it all.
He can't POSSIBLY be this weak, right?
He's a Beast!
He's the world's finest playwright, poet, director, actor, clown- And, of course, everyone's most beloved trickster!
He's Shadow Milk Cookie!
...
And you really are a damn good actor.

Continuing this idea.
You should be scared. Very scared. Instead you were just stupid in thinking that this person who had repeatedly broke into your home, admitting to watching you, and completely invading your privacy didn’t mean you any harm.
Your logic that if he wanted to, he would have. You just hoped to god that your intuition about him was right. You had met monsters before. They didn’t make themselves known until it was too late.
But he was different. The small things he did to make your life easier weren’t things men intent on hurting you did. And it wasn’t like he didn’t have the opportunity to.
You had gotten a dog and a cat. A bonded pair that had been left when their family moved away, leaving the partners stranded.
When you came home with the adorable mutt you sent your shadow a cheeky text.
Don’t worry. I made sure he was good with men. Just not sure if he cares for masked ones.
More worried about the cat.
This little guy? Cheese is harmless. You attached a picture of your new orange cat sleeping peacefully on your couch.
You named the fucking thing Cheese?
Dog’s name is Mac.
That only earned you a thumbs down emoji.
It had been three weeks and you were certain he hadn’t been back into your apartment. You had to do mundane tasks again. Take out the trash. Get your mail from the box. You weren’t sure how he was managing that one.
It wasn’t until you got held up at work that you sent him a text. You felt like you were asking too much, but thankfully he had crossed the line from breaking into your place.
Could I ask a favor?
Almost instantly he sent back a reply.
You could
Can you take Mac out? I’m not gonna be out of here for another 3 hours. Another waitress quit last minute and I’m stuck here. 😭
You added the crying face for effect.
Could test out that biting theory.
He won’t bite you.
Wasn’t talking about the dog, Love.
Forty minutes later you got a picture of Mac looking up. His pink tongue hanging out of his mouth, looking up in excitement.
Be careful if you pass by the guy who hangs out back by the play area. Mac dislocated my arm this weekend being a little asshole and lunging after him.
Thought you said he wouldn’t bite.
Wouldn’t bite YOU. He’s a good judge of character.
He’s a good boy.
The following shifts, your shadow would send you photos. All of Mac. All outside. None giving you the slightest idea of what he looked like.
You gave him a heads up that you’d be able to take him out yourself. You don’t know how you’d react to finally meeting him. You could have easily stalked him as he had done you, but there wasn’t any fun in that. And he had made this fun.
You didn’t however count on Mac scratching at the door at 10 pm that night.
Or the next.
Or the next.
His entire schedule was thrown off. The vet said it was a UTI and your only options were keep letting him out as needed or he will try and hold it in and risk his bladder getting inflected. Or even his kidneys.
You were standing in the flood light at the edge of your apartment building when your phone buzzed.
You need to stop going out this late. Not safe.
Why? You text back, grinning. You’re out here too. Not anything to be afraid of.
Careful. Sounds like you like having me around.
Who says I don’t?
He didn’t respond. You try again.
Am I ever gonna be able to meet you?
Three dots appeared after moments of silence
Don’t think so pet.
What’s the point then? Isn’t a hunter’s goal is to get close to their prey?
Is that what you think you are to me? My prey?
You couldn’t tell if he was actually offended. Fuck. How do you make this better?
Is it bad if I want to be?
What the fuck? Your reaction was to turn things sexual? But you weren’t lying. You often found yourself imagining him, a masked stranger coming into your room while you slept. Looming over your defenseless body until the exact moment he decided to strike.
In an instant he would have your hands restrained and a palm covering your mouth. He’d tell you to hush. The fantasy hard to imagine in that moment when you wondered what he would sound like.
I’m not actually afraid of you, you know?
Oh really? Someone is feeling brave tonight. Going out into the dark. Taunting their stalker.
You swear your could feel your heart trying to beat out of your chest. He was into it. Just as much as you were. You thought maybe given the initial cute acts of service it was more of a guardian angel kind of thing.
It wasn’t until you noticed underwear missing did you know he was just as filthy as you hoped him to be. Even though you never brought it up. Too afraid to get in too deep with someone who could be a sociopath.
You could come and see how brave I am.
He didn’t respond immediately and Mac was done dribbling out the last hit of pee. You were in the stairway when your phone chiroed.
Fine. See you soon.
A picture followed. It was dark. So dark you had to turn up your brightness. When your eyes focused, your stomach dropped.
It was you.
A stilled image of you walking into the building your back turned. The image too clear to be taken from a distance. If you had to guess it was no more than ten feet away.
Ten feet away and you didn’t hear a fucking thing. Completely oblivious to the danger close by.
That night you had came so hard you had half a mind to text him a thank you for being the inspiration behind your bliss.
