So fun fact about my OC Hazard: he deals with voices and hallucinations after being trapped alone on the ARK for so long. It took him a while to get used to dealing with them. They can really mess with him some days, but most of the time he handles it pretty well.

Technically he doesn't actually need to eat (or drink, sleep, or breathe) because he's sustained by his power pack, but he just likes to. He also doesn't actually have teeth (mainly because I thought it was funny that the canon Biolizard doesn't appear to have teeth so I incorporated it) but he can kinda gnaw on stuff.

I think I had (mild) sleep paralysis this morning lol I Thought I was awake/dozing but I could nottt move my arms or anything at all. Using the blasts from her eyes, Starfire managed to keep most of the insectoids that wanted to directly attack her away from her. Too many of them were clinging to her to allow her to get back up yet again though; she knew that she was going to unleash a burst of energy all around herself to get free of those. "I am okay, yes! Merely... held up." But, even if she was currently on the ground - and just blasted another of the insects away, not aware of one of those that were holding her down to start vibrating - Starfire didn't want her fellow fighter to worry. "Do not worry about me! I will be-" Well, she wanted to say, but instead yelped and then coughed when one of the insects next to her shot heated gas at Starfire.

The heat was absolutely not a problem for her, so that was good, and she soon now did the burst of energy all around herself to get the insectoids that were holding her down off. Now able to get to a standing again, Starfire kept her energy ready in her hands and eyes, and glanced around, growling once she spotted someone in the middle of the insectoids. "So you have brought these creatures here!" She shouted, and launched herself straight at her sister. How she suddenly came to be here, or what her new friend said minutes ago about the insectoid's gas causing hallucinations, was nothing that Starfire was concerned with right now. Not when Blackfire was here, and needed to be stopped!

There were too many of these insectoids around to celebrate yet. “Yes!” She confirmed the other’s suggestion of how to deal with the next enemy, and she flew over while she could already watch the one arm being removed. Starfire again used her strength to take off the arm - not pleasant to do, but necessary to prevent the creatures from harming civilians - before punching at the creature and knocking it out.

A stinger came towards Starfire as she finished that creature off, and she just barely managed to still let herself drop to the ground to avoid being stung. “They have realized that we are threats!”, Starfire warned as she wrestled with the stinger trying to go for her while she was ‘vulnrable on the ground’. Stopping the stinger with both of her hands and preventing it from coming any closer to her body, Starfire let her eyes glow to shoot beams at the creature to get it off of her. Insectoids began swarming around both of the fighters, more or less separating them from each other through this too.

Vartouhi ‘hopped’ further up into the air to avoid the unconscious body of the alien creature the Tamaranean punched. She had just turned her head to survey the area, to come up with a plan for their next course of action, when she heard the other’s exclamation. Her head snapped in her comrade’s direction. Before she could act, the beasts had crowded her, some of them going as far as wrenching her down to the ground by her ankles, its yellow-orange tubular limb oozing with the acid it spewed. She cried out as the acid burned through her skin, and another such bug wrapped its limbs around her wrists, attempting to keep her from using her power. She gritted her teeth. “Unlucky for you…” she warned before a tube sliced open in the middle, and the acid arced over her body to splash all over the bug on the opposite side of her. “…I don’t need my hands to use my abilities,” she finished, yanking the tubes with her Balahyan strength and ripping them from the insectoids’ bodies. But where the two went down, there were more closing in. “Are you okay?!” she yelled over the noise, trying to make sure whether her companion was still fighting.

things i did NOT like about shadow and bone (netflix):

the darkling looks Old. he's supposed to look the same age as all the other main protagonists. this highlights alina's future of staying the same & young where everyone around her dies. it also blurs the line between good and evil more bc 'oh he's the older bad guy' is just such an easy solve. also while ben barnes is a snack imo the darkling was supposed to have a more alluring, youthful magnetism.

making genya's scars barely a few scratches. she's supposed to objectively have lost her former self perfected beauty!!! this is a thing!!! she doesn't just have some deep scars, she's supposed to look hideous at first sight, where is show adaptation teams' courage to show characters that are supposed to be mutilated as just that???? i promise audiences can survive on literally everyone else on the cast being very stereotypically pretty/handsome 🙄🙄🙄🙄

changing wesper's storyline so that they had a one night stand before canon sets in??? what kind of bullshit is that??? fucking robbing me of the "just girls?" -"not just girls" gay ANgST will they won't they, does jesper like him too, will they ever - BAM. KISS. !!!!!!! succession??? making wylan cute and awkward does NOT compensate their book storyline At All what were those show writers thinking??? 😭😭

this one i will forgive but i still rly liked it in the books so im a tad sad they didn't manage to include it: that alina has a time where she thinks she is morozova's second daughter's descendant. in many respects she has learned she is Special, and the shame she feels when she realizes this isn't another one of these cases, this isn't a way to finally show her A Path, that in this respect she is ordinary and mal is tied to fate that way, that's just such a good touch.

i'm gonna rant a bit about veilguard for a sec, spoilers behind the cut but honestly, it's just anxiety-fueled speculations and I need to write this down because I feel like I'm going insane. aptly titled:

i've done everything i can do up to recruiting davrin.... so I'm not that far into the game, I think, and I have no idea, I might be wrong about all this, and it's just weird writing but things are feeling off guys :(

so.....my thoughts.....

Did Varric survive the opening sequence?

chat.... I don't think so :( I really thought he did but I started growing more and more suspicious with each cutscene and I think it's time to prepare myself :(

Maybe this is preferable to him surviving and then being corrupted by the same lyrium idol that corrupted his brother but yeah, I don't think varric is really there because:

NO ONE TALKS TO HIM, no one visits him, no one talks ABOUT him in any way that would suggest he's recovering in the infirmary

NO ONE LOOKS AT HIM during cut scenes, or talks to him, or acknowledges his existence in any way :( Rook is the only one who talks to him/visits him/addresses him/looks towards him when varric talks :(

both harding and neve have talked about varric in a strange way. not confirming he's dead but in a sort of wistful way you might use when talking about someone who died and you're just at the edge of being able to think about them the way you remember them rather than as a corpse

neither bellara nor lucanis have spoken to varric AT ALL as far as I know, nor have they mentioned him??? wouldn't that be the first thing you do once you've been recruited?

the "power transition" was really weird to me because at first it did feel like they were just putting varric on bed rest so they could make me the main character. and I wondered why not harding? why not at least include her in that conversation.... unless of course it's all not real and varric was dead to begin with

that one line harding says at some point that goes sth like "if only I could have saved...." AND SHE STOPS TALKING! GIRL WHO! WHO!

solas seems very convinced he killed varric :( and then gives his typical cryptic non-answer when rook suggests he might not be dead :/

i really hope i'm wrong but honestly, i'm convinced now he's dead and no one but rook can see or hear him :( maybe he's a fade ghost, maybe he's a hallucination because we got our brains turned into scrambled eggs, maybe he's an echo? bound to bianca? maybe he died but left a piece of himself inside rook when we were knocked out and thrown into the fade?

or maybe..... it's not even varric :(

varric guiding us through the story bit by bit really fooled me :( how could he be dead when he's telling the story :( but one thing I noticed very early on is how different his tone is from how he told the story in da2? again this might just be a writing choice but it's strange how he almost sounds gleefully foreboding at the end of each sequence :/

He has not told us anything we don't already know..... his dialogue is full of varric-like quips but whenever he talks properly he's like "remember how I told you...remember when you did this.... remember when we did that"

he never once mentions bianca's status! he never once looks at her even though she is broken right beside him. he never once made an attempt to fix her BUT I did get one quip from him that went sth like "can't wait to get out there, bianca is getting impatient"....SIR SHE IS BROKEN WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ARE YOU JUST REPEATING COMMON VARRIC PHRASES WITHOUT CONTEXT?????

man I'm reaching but when solas and varric struggle there's a chime sound? as if the dagger went through the veil? and then there's like a fade tendril attached to the tip as solas pulls back???

and then there's all the fade light coming from the wound with the dagger still in it as if the fade itself was now inside his chest. when neve draggs him away later you can still see the green shimmer around his neck

varric looks very dead in the first scene in the lighthouse ... in fact he looks a lot like justice did .... but that could just be an artistic choice????.... his looks do improve after all.....dunno but it struck me as so familiar when I first saw it

and then when harding comes in and starts explaining where we are he gives you this look??? which is just a weird look? he looks like he's worried she might say too much right??? doesn't he???? that's not varric is it????

and lastly: WOULD VARRIC LET A BANDAGE STOP HIM FROM SHOWING OFF HIS CHEST HAIR! NO! :'(

so.... what if... we're being manipulated? something latched on? or maybe it's the dagger itself? we've been told over and over again in the last games that lyrium might be alive... maybe it was stuck in varric's chest long enough to learn about him and now we're the one carrying it around.... i dunno, seems strange because we already have two (three) antagonists but... i can't shake the feeling this is not varric :(

Did I imagine that scene about jean and jeremy talking about the size of the court? You know the one. Where it feels like they are talking about sth else sth sth "I have nothing to make up for" or sth and then it abruptly cuts to them like just going about their business. Did I hallucinate that? Was that real? Why is no one talking about it? Like I know my boy Jean is having an anxiety attack at any given time but the rizz? The subtle minx behaviour? Was that real?

A werid dream I had about.. a new TTTE special? + ttte special idea

The general theme about this new ttte special was fantasy and like abunch of mystical stuff happening, it starts with a new town and station and branch lines being built in this big forest on sodor, from what I remember it was like a big forest and it was separated from the rest of sodor by a river. (Probably wouldn't work in Canon but oh well!)

The opening shot begins with percy talking with STH at a new station in the forest, from what I remember percy had the mail carts for some reason, anyway all is nice and well (I don't remember what STH and percy were talking about) until donald comes flying past with a goods train, he's become a runaway and eventually he crashes near the bridge onto some rocks (he proper like, goes off the rails aswell)

I don't remember anything else than that opening scene BUT I do remember some stuff having to do with inside the forest and ruins of a castle and this one specific scene where I was near this flagpole with a red triangular flag on it, and the flagpole were on these castle ruins, also I distinctly remember one of the narrow gauge engines (sir handel I think?) In the back of the scene where donald crashes.

Overall conclusion? It would probably make a good special with some storybuilding, i call it, "mystery of the forest" , anyway onto a ttte special idea I had!

it begins like this, one day on the blue mountain quarry, the mountain engines decide to make a memorial altar to honor proteus on the anniversary of his death, on the same day, Thomas comes to the quarry to collect some rocks and stuff, anyway he's doing just fine but then suddenly he crashes into the altar, and knock the picture of proteus over, his driver and firemen quickly put it back in its place before skarloey or anybody notices, anyways as thomas is going through knapford to head back to tidmouth, he has this feeling that something is horribly wrong/ something is watching him, and so he doesn't pay attention to the signals and bumps into duck, duck is obviously pissed at him but eventually Thomas says sorry and goes on the correct line to tidmouth, anyway as duck is heading home he also feels this really horrible sense and that something is watching him, but he ignores it.

What follows is proteus basically haunting every single engine on the island, moving trucks, making hallucinations, pushing engines into one another, and the one way to resolve this? Talk it out with the ghost before it sends sodor crumbling!

Oke so I talked abt this with @aduh0308 and so I’ll just paste the text here bc I love being a conspiracy theorist

Okay so this is abtt the yeonjun trailer… I have a feeling and theory all of his friends die and he’s left alone with the memories that flash through and that’s why he was seen crying n’stuff

maybe also because he feels like he could’ve avoided his friends death or sth. Bc there is also him fighting some people (maybe his enemies that were out to get him or sth) orrr he had a big fight with his friends and yeonjun lost control during the fight and accidentally killed them…

and the theory of his friends being hallucinations could also be in this case too like all of the memories and he blames himself for it and you can see in one of the clips he’s crying and driving somewhere. Maybe to a new start and a new home to run away from those bad memories and feelings of ‘you could’ve saved them.’ ‘They’re dead cus of you’ and then when he arrives at the new city he meets the rest of the txt… yes plot twist maybe this is set before the txt lore timeline even.

if so maybe later on we get a solo from each txt member on what their life was before the five of them met? Because at the debut mv we never really got to know how they all met
