And now it was Ben Schwartz the one who noticed me! He did a Q&A and got an ask about some Sonic lines that didn't make it into the movie, and I left a comment on his reply, and he liked it and replied with a blue heart emoji! 🥹💙✨

Dude, the first time I heard his voice was when he voiced Randy Cunningham in the cartoon show Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja, and he immediately won my heart with his charm and sense of humor. Seeing how far he have come by voicing Sonic Wachowski in the movies makes me so happy, and having him seeing my art is like a dream come true 🥹🥹🥹

Character profiles and their images, I saved around early 2013 from the Disney XD website. Note the description for Mrs. Driscoll implying she just thinks the skeleton is her husband and the misspelling of Debbie's name.

A lot of the character images here are from their regular default poses which you'd see a lot on production work. Howard, Heidi, P-Slims, Viceroy and the Sorcerer are the only ones that aren't that default stance but are still stock images they'd use for things like promotional material, this.

I have an alternate version of these that are the exact same they just changed the formatting. I admittedly can't remember which was the original.

Aster Avidan

Aster Avidan is a transfer student from Cape Town, South Africa, who now attends Norrisville High. True to his name—derived from the Greek word for "star"—Aster is fascinated with all things celestial. He incorporates stars into his style, often wearing accessories featuring a pentagram star, a symbol reminiscent of Randy's Greek key symbol.

Okay so the reason I went with the pentagram is because I did some research and learned that the Greeks and others generally use the symbol to ward off evil and I thought that it would make sense for Aster's character.

Okay so I kinda go back and forth between making Aster some hero or just a normal teen but I do have an idea for a Ninja variation for him.

So how it works is, Aster is like Randy's parallel. He comes from a town that had a guardian to protect them from mystical creatures controlled by his version of the Sorcerer, The Adze.

The Adze is a malevolent, vampiric, shapeshifting monster that takes the form of a firefly in the wild. When captured, the adze can transform into a human and possess people, making them appear to be witches. The adze's influence is said to negatively affect the people around the possessed person, especially those they are jealous of.

Pretty similar to the Sorcerer and Sorceress, right?

Now I like to imagine that since by the end of season 2 the Sorcerer and Sorceress are gone, unless...

Let's just imagine for a sec that in between the chaos of Evil Julian roaming around and real Julian being trapped in the land of the shadows, The Sorceress escapes somehow and comes into contact with Adze. They form an alliance and continue their plans of world destruction their way.

Now for Aster's version of the 'Nomicon.'

Aster's magical tool, the "Kenniscodex," is fundamentally different from Randy’s Nomicon.

Instead of being a physical book he carries around, Aster’s "Kenniscodex" resides in a mystical baobab tree deep in Africa. It contains scrolls guarded by South African mythical creatures.

When Aster needs to learn something, a bird from South Africa delivers a scroll to him in Norrisville. Like Randy, when he opens the scroll, Aster enters a dreamlike state, his consciousness transported to the baobab tree where he interacts with the "Kenniscodex" to gain knowledge and wisdom.

Note: "Kenniscodex" Translates to 'Knowledge codex' in Dutch and Afrikaans :)

And that's it for now! My main inspiration of this came from doing research on my country's mythical creatures, and the Baobab idea kinda came from thinking about Rafiki from the Lion King.
