Caine is an antagonist, but not by active choice, he doesn't know he's not helping. He doesn't feel a whole spectrum of human emotions (he's an AI).
"Caine canonically just lets things happen if he thinks it's funny."
Characters eat like Chao in Chao garden in Sonic. The characters can eat the food, but they can't digest it.
Jax's favorite food is spaghetti.
Pomni likes salmon.
Q "Was the ending a 'Last Supper' reference?" A "in a very superficial kinda way yeah." Religious stuff is sometimes just used for the funny.
Gooseworx tumblr sketches MAY or MAY NOT be canon to the series, so it's up in the air for every single one.
People can abstract from feeling too much pain if it breaks their mind from it being too much. Characters feel pain from things, but not as intensely as they would in real life.
Zooble is gonna swap parts every episode (implying they have spare parts) except their body & head.
Jax chose his own name & gooseworx likes to think he chose Gangle's name.
Ragatha was named "Emmy" originally.
They (the cast of characters trapped in the circus) can't change their clothes but Caine can. It's part of their skin sorta kinda.

Gangle only has 2 masks. Why's it (her hapiness mask) break all the time? Mental state, but the "real her" is "harder to break."
Kaumfo was gonna be part of the main cast originally before Jax.
Kaufmo's model has nothing below the waist at this time, but was made for that promotional image on twitter.

#this reaction series i'm watching has really gone downhill. used to be some pretty good analysis for a first watch#but then he hit episode 30 and immediately began having the most basic surface level (wrong) interpretations of literally everything#his read of utena and akio's relationship especially make me want to bang my head against the wall#(but that's maybe just because i'm particularly insane about that part of the show)#he keeps talking about how young the characters are and even has a running bit about how old akio may or may not be#but he refuses to call anything abuse. it's all just “they're sleeping together” and “hehe they kissed” SHUT UPPPPP#i am. scared for 33 next week. his audience has apparently been hyping it up as some grand epic finale to the arc too#hope it hits him really hard and snaps him out of whatever the hell it is he's been thinking lately. i hope it makes him cry#bad takes#m

#I'm sorry this isn't fair. I know we lost half a decade to two reboots making cool concept art ideas too unfeasible to consider#it is more than fair to mourn it. it's just so entropic. trying to keep containing the unraveling worldstate of thedas over and over again#such a uniquely weird predicament. I think I am starting to feel antagonistic to this type of storytelling#like not fully but to a certain degree I can sense its catastrophic toxicity in the long run#but then again I am the stories-matter-over-lore guy so maybe I am simply blind to the value of it all#this ties back into my musing yesterday about authored vignettes being defanged by player choice even without this context#so like I am starting to lose the plot here for why do this at all. they either have to bethesda it now#and start telling local stories or whatever#or keep banging their heads against this geometrically progressing wall while losing larger and larger sizes of their audience#like with the mass effect trilogy it's kinda like. a double funnel. gets wider then narrows back down by the end#cause it's a finite context those quantum states serve and exist in. but then you want to tell more stories in that universe#and the lorebrained gymnastics inevitably kick in. and like what is this all for#I think I'm growing away from this a little haha I hate that realization lmao

And I did them on my own! :D Extra pleased with myself :3#My slightly cocky attitude of ''Well that was frustrating - luckily I'll never run into another problem again'' amuses me lol#'Cause in the moment everything's flying! The code comes together lovely and it's all great! And then I come up to the next thing#Something I haven't done before - something that there's no Direct how-to of how to do a thing#Like setting player-and-character pronouns! I didn't know how to do that! But I figured it out!! :0 What a rush haha#It really did take me an evening of knocking my head against the wall in attempts - I waaaayyy overcomplicated it to start haha#I was like - trying to set up a system that would call on specific pronoun sets individually based on player input#Ridiculous - so much easier to just slap some values into an envelope and have those tied to a specific shell lol#But that took all night! I got sleepy while working on it and even my drowsy brain was like Wait...what am I supposed to check against? Haha#Such a weird experience subconsciously as well :0 'Cause I had normal dreams that night#Maybe some slight code-adjacent dreams of A Screen With Text On It but that could be anything :P#Most of it was just normal dream melodrama - but in the few times I woke up to readjust or roll over or pull my blanket#It was juuuuust enough for my ''conscious'' brain to kick in and think about what to compare against - what structure would work#And so by the time I woke up proper I had to frantically write down a bunch of code in a spare word document so I wouldn't go stir crazy lol#Breakfast must wait! Dailies must wait! I Have to write this down!!#And when I implemented it - it worked exactly as I hoped it would and is much much Muuuuuch simpler to call upon haha#Wow! That was a weird fluke that definitely won't happen again! Haha#I don't actually believe that I just have no way of guessing which aspect will trip me up - This Should Be Easy! And then it isn't lol#Definitely didn't predict the second - Especially because other than a small roadbump of not knowing how to Shell-Switch (ty again Cherry ♥)#Everything up to then was going well and everything after that was going fine! Until The One Thing happened pffbtl#I wanted to assign a value to check if a specific piece of code was being called upon - basically a fork between two outcomes#That went fine! The value Was changing! But only the first fork was being called???#No lol I just didn't put the second = ugh pft - and what's more frustrating is that I'd been using == up to that point!! I'd been warned!!!!#I - for some reason - was convinced that using && would make the value check Only need to check If x = 1... That's not how it works......#It's an If statement! Because that just happened to me with my own outline lol
ahaha... well actually, out of all of the main characters in undertow, bee has surprisingly the most tragic story. that wasnt originally the case (that title belonged to sentinel for a while), but i kept getting bigger and bigger ideas.
anyway, it resulted in me having to figure out a rough system of something equivalent to a cybertronian sign language. poor bee. lol
#i just love throwing my favorite characters under the bus and running them over and over again!#ask peony#in all honesty the only one who has it easy is orion but also its not even easy#hes just got main character syndrome aka plot armor aka hes secretly my fav so i dont want to hurt him too bad#the only time orion gets hurt is when megatron fucks him up against the cell wall#but thats not until later#this might be weird but i plan sex scenes very carefully and so far megatron and orion have the highest at around 8-10#bee and sentinel are a close second with 5-7#and then hot rod and (redacted) follow up#along with longarm and (redacted)#er was that too many spoilers?

The industry is horrible and awful, low pay, long hours, no real chance of advancing.
Whenever people touring the station or new interns ask me for advice, I always tell them to change careers lol
#ask#plus; i'm a producer for a statewide channel sure; but it's nothing huge or glam#like;; i've gotten to work with celebrities but that's more luck than normal operations#and i've said 'i don't hate what i'm doing i hate where i do it' so much for so long that i don't even believe it anymore#i would only wish a career in television on people i hate#but i do try to be even minded as best i can; like i'm acutely aware i work in probably one of the most toxic environments in the state#i've been sexually harassed; grabbed; locked in a room and screamed at by a psycho freelance producer#been injured and seen graphic injuries that happened because of incompetence; seen theft and assault#and had the men at work get aggressive with me because i'm the youngest and shortest and only woman#told by management i was only given opportunities because i'm a woman and it looks better for their image if they pretend to put me up fron#had my bosses retaliate against me for refusing to do illegal things for them#to the point where i was below the poverty line for several months because of it#told by hr that i have no right to complain about anything because even though i run their biggest show i'm just a contractor#had my work stolen and other people's names put on it so those people get the emmys that my work has earned#and lied to about pay rates so I wouldn't know I'm paid less than the men who have fewer responsibilities and less experience than i do#and now they're waging a war against LGBT employees by promoting ultra-right viewpoints and banning mentions of pride#so no i really don't want to help bring anyone into this environment#every day driving in and driving home i just think about driving my car into a concrete wall#i'm looking for a new job i promise

Will I ever expect Nintendo writing a Ganondorf who's trying to break the curse and end the cycle? No. I simply think their faithful adherence to the nature of fairytales about the knight rising up to face evil and save the princess is simply that strong. It's a classic (in the most literal sense cite Perseus and Andromeda). It's why I don't believe in a playable Zelda until I see it with my own eyes.
While the earnest nature of providing interesting spins on this millennia old formula is rather endearing, I would welcome earnest breaks in turn as well. Yet until I see it, I simply won't be holding my breath for when it comes.
#no slight to anyone wanting either thing in totk but 35 years of narrative precedence is pretty strong#that being said if you ask me my ''dream Zelda game'' much of the plot involves something regarding either one#i think a zelda game where the king of hyrule is zelda's elder brother. a game where link and zelda have long since been married#and the main villain isnt ganon but say an invader of another kind.#but ganondorf is present. a young traveling mercenary informed of his fate to become the king of evil and trying for a cure from that fate#zelda is not taken but an active participant; frequently joining link traveling around hyrule or breaking off to buy more equipment#and do some scouting of her own#it has botws exploration but maybe some linearized pieces of development like a dungeon thats a fortress wall blocking off parts of the map#random encounters against Ganondorf who's time is running out and desperately trying to find zelda#until the two of you are travelling and he ambushes you.#you can lose and must rescue her from his lair. you can fend him off. or you can defeat him and track him down#the first has minimal changes to the ending of the game. the second has a surprise ganon fight. and the third reveals a quest#one where he explains his plight and help break his curse#and in the end the three of you face the villain side by side#i think that would be a cool game#zelda#legend of zelda#tears of the kingdom#totk#loz
