Pepper beamed when Tony praised the garden and the work they did as did Morgan - knowing that Daddy loved the Garden that she and Mommy finished made her really happy and then he was tickling her which made the little girl burst into a fit of giggles, swatting at his hands and arms and as a result, getting some soil and dirt on them. “Now you’re dirty, too!” She giggled, even daring to reach out and gently wipe some dirt on his cheek which had Pepper grinning from ear to ear.
She could watch these two all day and never tire of it, never get bored of it. It warmed her heart to see the two of them interact, to see Tony so happy and so in love - so at peace. He’d come so far in life - they both had - and who knew this is where they’d be after all those years she spent as his Personal Assistant. Working for one of the most, if not THE most, infuriating and frustrating man, or rather at the beginning he was. Then the two become...friends, and she became someone he truly could rely on and she him.
And now...here they were. Married and with a child. It was incredible to her and truly all of those years that led to this moment were worth it and she wouldn’t change a thing.
“Cookies, huh? Sounds like a good deal to me, better take him up on that offer.” She encouraged her daughter with a grin, kneeling down to press a kiss to her cheek before she held out her arms for Daddy to pick her up. “I should probably get cleaned up, too. Try not to make a mess in the kitchen,” She told Tony with a smirk, pressing a kiss to his cheek as well as she followed them inside. “I’ll join you in a bit.” And with that, she headed off to their bedroom to get cleaned up and changed while Tony took care of Morgan.

“Yeah? You think it looks alright?” Pepper asked as she glanced over at the little garden again which Pepper and Morgan had just finished decorating with a few solar lights and garden flags, as well as a few more mini rose bushes. It was one of the few gardens they created, with probably more to come, and most which Tony, of course, helped them with. It was a family thing, really, but this one Pepper was finishing up while Tony was working on his own little projects.
“I helped! See?” Morgan held up her gloved hands which were covered in dirt and soil, with a little bit on her arms and even a few spots on her face.
Pepper smiled. “Mm, she certainly did. It was her idea to put the red and yellow rose bushes in the center.” She chuckled, knowing Tony would figure out why; what with the colors of Iron Man being just that, or close to anyway. They didn’t exactly have any hot rod red or gold colored roses.
If someone had told Tony years ago that this would be his life, he would’ve laughed at them. But, now? He couldn’t imagine any other life. Pepper and Morgan were his world. Gardens, tea parties, nail polish, dress up. The whole nine yards. There was nothing more important to him than seeing a bright smile on the face of his five year old daughter.
Tony had known what love felt like. He loved Pepper. But, it wasn’t until she gave birth to Morgan that he truly experienced a different kind of love. Being a father was something he couldn’t describe and it gave him immense joy. A smile curved onto his features as he watched his girls. “I think it looks wonderful,” was his response. “Did you now? I couldn’t tell.” He teased, tickling his daughter lightly. “I think you, little miss, are in great need of a bath.”
He then beamed when Pepper pointed out the colors. “Red and yellow, huh? Great color scheme. Good eye, kid.” He winked at his daughter. “What do you say we head inside and get you washed up and then we get dinner going and if you’re really nice to me, I might bake some cookies later and let you help. What do you say?”
Morgan giggled lightly at her father. She knew just like Pepper knew that she had that irresistible pout and her daddy would always give in. “If you say so, Daddy.”
“I do say so.” Tony said, his eyes narrowing as he looked at her suspiciously. “Come on. Let’s get you inside before your genius little mind can concoct any evil plots.”

Pepper sent the picture to Tony and waited for a response back, knowing full well that she would get one. Be it via phone or Tony coming to find her, but if there was one sure way to get Tony out of that lab, it was something like this. Sexy pictures, dirty texts, or even going down there and initiating it, though admittedly sometimes he would leave him hanging just to tease him, much to his disappointment.
She let out a laugh when she heard him yell, her trick having worked. “Maybe if you come find me, I’ll make it up to you!” Pepper yelled, knowing it wouldn’t be hard to find her, so she waited, still wearing exactly what was in the picture, only this time she buttoned up the coat - if he wanted to see her underneath, he’d have to earn it. Or undress her himself which she would never say no to.

The Hero’s Return: Part 3
"Alright, here’s your third and last juice pop. You’re gonna make Daddy go broke buying you all of these...I gotta stop.” He teased his daughter as he handed her the juice pop which she eagerly took.
Then maybe Mommy could go flying with us--...” Before she could say more, his finger was on her lips to shush her.
“Shh, shh. Okay, you’ve made your point. Wow, you’re an evil genius, you know that?” smirked and she gave him the sassiest smile before running off and into her tent just before Pepper approached them.
“An evil genius? What’d she do this time?” She asked, overhearing that last bit.
“Uh, nothing. Just...you know, she, uh...” He shrugged, trying to find an excuse. “The way she uses those eyes to get what she wants.”
Pepper smirked. “Oh, you mean like you?”
Tony opened his mouth to retort, but Pepper kissed him before he even good.
“Mm, fair point.” He grinned against her lips, his arms wrapping around her.
Once the kiss broke, Pepper pulled back but didn’t dare leave his arms, but she had a puzzled look on her face.
“What’s on your mind, Mrs. Stark?”
She smiled hearing that name, she would never tire of hearing it. “Does...anyone else know that you’re back, Tony? Besides Steve?”
Tony smiled at her, a bright smile that made Pepper wonder just what he was thinking about...or what he was up to.
“The kid does.”
“Peter?” Pepper clarified and Tony nodded, the smile never leaving his face.
----------------------------------
“Peter, there’s a package for you in your room. It came from Stark Industries...” May informed him minutes after he came home and greeted her, almost hesitant to tell him because of everything that had happened only days ago. It was all still so sensitive for him and May had been careful not to bring it up unless he did so first, but given the package was for him, well, he needed to know and he would have seen it eventually.
The word Stark was enough to make Peter’s stomach churn, the memory of his death fresh in his mind. Only minutes before that he was being hugged by the man he admired, the man he saw as a second father...only to lose him, too.
“If you don’t want to open it now, you don’t --”
“N-no. No, I uh, I want to. I should...” He swallowed hard with a nod, his gaze falling to the ground to hold back the tears he felt well in his eyes. “Thanks, Aunt May.” He offered her a strain smile before hurrying up to his room, finding the square package waiting on his bed. Was it from Happy? Or Pepper even?
With a deep breath, Peter unwrapped the outside packaging and tore the tape off of the box itself, opening the lids and finding an envelope on the inside and underneath it another square box, but this one was smaller.
So, he opened the envelope first and what he saw made Peter freeze, another hard swallow falling down his throat.
It was Tony’s handwriting.
“Hey, kid. Tony here, obviously. I mean, who else would be writing this?
First of all, no, this isn’t a pre-death goodbye letter. This is a ‘guess what? I’m alive letter’. That’s right, you read that right. Let me guess, you’re re-reading it make sure what you didn’t misread that?
Well, no, you didn’t. I’m alive, kid. And I’m fine. I’m with Pepper again and Morgan, wow this is great. Can’t believe I get to say that again. Morgan told me you spent a lot of time with her after I was gone, said you made her laugh and snuck her a lot of cookies - yeah, she called you out. Get used to it.
But thanks - thanks for watching out for her and thanks for watching out for Pepper, too. Thanks for watching out for me. You always have my back and kid, I’m always going to have yours. That’s a promise.
But hey, don’t say anything about this, alright? The only ones who know I’m alive are Cap, Pepper, Morgan, Rhodey and Happy and I’d like to keep it that way for a while. You know, kinda take a vacation and just be with Pepper and Morgan for a while.
I’ll give you the details later when I see you which will be sometime soon, I promise, but until then, be careful out there, alright? Take care of yourself, of your Aunt May and just don’t do anything stupid.
Who am I kidding? You’re a Hero, it’s gonna happen.
Speaking of, in this box is my thanks to you for everything you’ve done. For Pepper, Morgan, for me, for the world. You’re a true Hero, kid, a true Avenger, and no one can take that away from you.
I’ll see you soon.
Your friend, your fan,
 Tony Stark.
Peter was in tears by the time he got to the end of the letter and he was all smiles, too. He was alive. Mr. Stark was alive!
He chuckled tearfully to himself before seeing the other box he had yet to open so he reached down for it and took off the wrapping, revealing a blue and red velvety box. He took off the top and his smile grew even wider if that were possible. Inside were a few things:
One was Peter’s spider symbol, created from some type of metal, that had the Avengers insignia engraved right in the middle of it. On the bottom of the box, protected in a silver frame was a picture and Peter couldn’t keep the smile off of his face, it was from ear to ear now.
In the picture was Tony and Morgan - the latter dressed in a Spider-Man costume and doing a web shooting pose with Tony behind her, sporting a Spider-Man shirt of his own that said ‘The Spectacular Spider-Man!’, showing his support for the hero.
He turned it over and saw a little note with unfamiliar handwriting that read:
‘Thank you for always helping to keep Daddy safe and for helping me and Mommy when Daddy couldn’t be here. Love, Morgan Stark.
Peter wiped the tears from his eyes, but they just kept coming - he couldn’t help himself. The joy he was feeling, the appreciation, and love - it meant so much to him. Tony was him was a true hero, and he was an Avenger now, and more importantly Tony was alive! He was back and Peter was going to get to see him soon! He couldn’t wait for that day. He was so tempted to go see them, to swing on over and give Mr. Stark a hug, but he knew they needed some time together, some peace and he wouldn’t dare disturb that.
With another tearful chuckle, Peter wiped his eyes on the sleeve of his shirt and stared down at the object in his hand.
“Peter?” Came Aunt May’s voice as she knocked on the door, her face full of concern seeing how red his eyes were. He’d been crying. “Sweetheart, what is it? Is everything okay?” She asked, making her way over to him and placing her hand on his shoulder, wondering what on Earth was in that box.
Peter smiled. This time it wasn’t strained. This time it wasn’t sad. “Yeah, Aunt May.” He nodded, setting the object down in the box. “Yeah, everything’s okay. Everything’s going to be okay.” And this time he was sure of it; there was no doubt in his voice, no uncertainty - everything was right in the world and for the first time in days, Peter felt like eating.
“Hey, how about we, uh, we go out for dinner, Aunt May?”
------------------------------
When Tony finished explaining what he had sent to Peter, Pepper was all smiles - she could just imagine the look on Peter’s face when he read that note from him. “You know it’s going to take every ounce of him not to come here, right?” She chuckled, though she wouldn’t exactly mind if that did happen, but she did like the idea of it just being them for a while. They needed it.
He turned to look at her, wrapping his arms around his waist to pull her closer. “He’ll be alright. That kid’s strong, Pep.” He stated and Pepper knew that, too. “But for now, for a while, I just want it to be us. You, Morgan and me. No heroics, no...time travel, none of that.” Eventually he would let the others know about his return, but not yet...he needed time with his family; time to enjoy them, to admire them, to just be happy.
“Just us,” She smiled, leaning in as Tony met her halfway, their lips connecting.
“Daddy, can I have another juice pop?” Morgan yelled as she came out of her little tent, her little ‘Iron Girl’ helmet on her head that Tony made for her before he left those many days ago.
“I think you’ve reached your limit.” He huffed as he scooped her up into his arms. She gave him a pout, her bottom lip sticking out.
“Just one more?” She whined, then looked at Mommy as though about to say something, but Tony quickly sushed her.
“Okay, okay. One more.”
“Wait, Tony. How many has she had today? I think --..”
“It’s just one more, Pep. Besides, they’re...fruity. That means they’re healthy.” He defended with a shrug, hurrying towards the house before she could argue, Morgan giggling along the way.
“What? That’s not how that works!” She laughed. “Anthony Edward Stark, if you give her one more --”
“Sorry, can’t hear you! Signal is bad in here!” She heard him call from the inside.
Pepper sighed to herself, but the smile was still there - it always would be there now because life was good again. Life was perfect. Happy Endings did exist, but this? This was a Happy Beginning.

The Hero’s Return Part 2
“Daddy? DADDY!” Morgan screamed with tears in her eyes as she hurried over to him, while Pepper stood back for a moment and just...watched.
Was this real? It couldn’t have been a dream, she knew she was awake so...what was it? It certainly wasn’t her mind playing tricks on her either because Morgan could see him, too, and he wasn’t a hologram either because...
“Hey, you!” He wasted no time in scooping the little girl up into his arms - dropping the reactor in his hands - and bringing her in for a huge like his life depended on it; his arms completely wrapped around her with her little arms barely wrapped around him. His own eyes welled with tears, but he didn’t bother holding them back - god, he didn’t care to. He was just so relieved to be back home, ecstatic to have his little girl in his arms again and hopefully soon, his wife, too.
Slowly, Pepper finally made her way over to him - her eyes wide, as though in disbelief of what she was seeing right now. Her body was even trembling a little and her heart racing even faster than it had on the battlefield, and the closer she got to him, the more the tears fell from her eyes and the more her heart raced.
“Few tears for your long lost...husband?” Tony asked, unable to help himself despite how shocked his wife was right now, but he understood why, and he met her halfway - moving closer.
“Tony...?” Her voice was barely above a whisper, barely audible as her voice cracked, and so slowly, so gently she reached out to touch him. A shock went through her body the moment her fingers made contact with his face - with flesh -  stroking his cheek and just...taking him in, telling herself that this truly was real. That somehow, someway, Tony Stark was alive.
And then he smiled at her - that warm smile she had missed so damned much - and she pulled herself into him with a tearful cry of joy, his free arm wrapping around her while the other held Morgan. She took in a deep breath, his scent was the same, his warmth was the same, his voice was the same - he was the same and that made her hug him even tighter, so afraid to let go...for fear if she did, he would fade away.
“I’m here, Pep. I’m back.” He assured her, he assured both of them, as she held them as close as he possibly could, first kissing Pepper’s head then Morgan’s, then Pepper’s again and Morgan’s again. “It’s okay, we’re okay...” He said those words that she had told him just before he passed, before he went to rest, and now, having them in his arms, he felt completely re-energized; he didn’t need rest, he needed them. His family.
“How, Tony...?” Came her muffled voice just before she pulled her head back to look at him, her hand cupping his cheek again all the while Morgan sniffled and still clung to her Daddy. “How are you...” It was hard to even talk right now, she was so out of breath and so full of shock and relief that she was almost rendered speechless.
“Because he’s invincible...right, Daddy?” Came Morgan’s voice which made the two of them laugh and he pressed yet another kiss to her forehead.
------------------------
They had moved inside of the cabin, now sitting on the couch with Morgan asleep in her father’s lap, and his hand lovingly stroking her hair with a look of absolute awe in his eyes; almost in disbelief himself that he was here in this moment. But god, was he glad. He got to be with his family again and all because of...
“Steve.” Tony broke the silence when Pepper sat down next to him, two glasses of ice tea in her hands and giving one to Tony. “And the Soul Stone.”
Pepper’s expression became confused, tilting her head as she took a sip of her tea. “Didn’t he go return the stones?”
“Yeah. First of all, the idiot went on his own. He’s lucky nothing happened to him.” Tony scoffed, but then smiled at the thought of his friend and Pepper smirked knowingly.
“But uh, when he went to return the Soul Stone, he told the...ghostly guide thing,” He shrugged at Pepper’s quirked brow. “That he should get a soul in return..” He sighed, looking down at his glass and keeping his voice low so Morgan could sleep. “He was told it couldn’t be Nat, he wanted to try and get both of us back, but uh...since she gave her life for the stone, it’s...” He swallowed hard, and Pepper frowned, reaching out to place her hand over his.
“Anyway, here I am..” He finished, taking a drink.
“A soul for a soul...” Pepper whispered, her eyes watching him.
“A soul for a soul,” He repeated, setting the glass on the table in front of him and looking at Pepper, reaching out to take her hand back in his and bringing it to his lips.
She brushed her thumb against his lips and leaned forward to kiss him; a soft kiss that conveyed so much.
She needed to make sure and thank Steve later, as soon as possible. Because of him, she had her husband back, because of him, Morgan had her father back.

The Hero’s Return
It had been a few days since the war ended, since they defeated Thanos and lost...him.
The wounds were still fresh, both physically and emotionally, but more so emotionally, and how could they not be? A child lost her father, a wife lost her husband, and the world lost a Hero.
Celebrations had been held all over the world, both to celebrate the return of their loved ones and friends, and to celebrate the heroes that returned them and the heroes that they lost, all of them. But Pepper only watched them from home, with Morgan by her side, smiling at the kind words said for Tony, for Natasha...
God, she missed him. The house had been quiet without him and it felt...empty. There was no Tony Stark tickling his daughter until she cried with laughter and begged him to stop, there was no Tony Stark making a mess in the kitchen simply from washing dishes, no Tony Stark to give her that warm smile of his that made everything okay, no Tony Stark to get after for giving Morgan one too many cookies or juice pops, no Tony Stark.
Since the night of his passing, Morgan slept with Pepper in their...her bedroom. She’d stroke her hair until she fell asleep, her eyes red and swollen from crying, and Pepper would fall asleep soon after, or so she would try. And when Morgan had her naps? Those were the times Pepper cried because as strong as she was, it wasn’t easy to remain so when every single room you walked into, you could still smell him, you could still hear him and see him, but he wasn’t there. And he never would be again. And that thought made Pepper break each time.
It was the third afternoon that Pepper was sat outside on the patio, with Morgan on her lap and a book in her hands, reading together. She had gotten the call earlier in the day that Steve was due to return the stones back to whence they came and awaited the call of his success.
“Here,” Pepper murmured with a smile, holding another half cookie out to her daughter when she finished yet another chapter of the book, pressing a kiss to her cheek. “We’ll be done with this book soon with how well you’re doing,” She praised and Morgan returned the smile. “Would Daddy be proud?” She asked quietly, slowly nibbling on her cookie and glancing up at her mommy.
That made Pepper’s eyes water but she held back the tears and nodded, pressing another kiss to her forehead this time. “He would be. He is proud of you. You’re as smart as Daddy was, you know that? Even he thought so.” She chuckled, giving her a gentle squeeze in her arms, the pain fading from her heart just from seeing the bright smile on her little girl’s face.
“Another chapter, mommy?” Morgan asked.
And Pepper nodded, waiting for her to look down at her book again before using one hand to wipe the tears from her eyes.
“You know, I gotta say, I’m kinda surprised you didn’t keep this. And a little hurt.”
The voice tore Pepper and Morgan’s gaze away from the book in unison, the book slipping from Pepper’s hands with Morgan gasping and sliding off of her mother’s lap.
Tony smirked as he stood there, with the first arc reactor he built for himself in his hands, the one Pepper placed in the lake surrounded by a wreath. He had a look of awe in his eyes as though he’d been watching them for a little while and his smirk turned more into a smile of pure relief and joy at the sight of them - he was home. He was alive.

Goose/Flerken Headcanon - Healing
We know the Flerken species have quite a few powerful and useful abilities (I mean, who wouldn’t want to be able to store whatever they wanted inside of them and bring it back out when needed?) but what if they have other abilities that no one knows of...yet?
Well, I’m here to add one!
Temporary healing via their saliva. When a Flerken’s saliva connects with an open wound (be it a small scratch or gash to a much larger wound), it acts as a protective coating to help stop any bleeding and prevent infection from entering the wound, but this is only temporary, so further treatment would still be needed, especially for serious wounds such as stab wounds, gunshot wounds, etc.
It also provides some pain relief and is especially helpful to use on burns, as it can actually help completely heal them, but third degree burns would require a bit more treatment.
Other than that, she’ll just vomit you up some band-aids or something!

Muses I want to add eventually:
Negan (The Walking Dead)
Peter Parker/Spiderman (either Andrew Garfield and/or PS4 Version)
Fox Mulder (The X-Files)
Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Tim Burton’s Batman Returns)
Muses I want to add, but am on the fence about either because no one might know who they are, there’s no fandom for them here, or they might just be too silly:
Ally McBeal (Ally McBeal)
Ace Ventura (Ace Ventura)

Goose understood everything the human was saying to her, but wasn’t quite ready to speak to him in return - it would no doubt startle the boy and she was certainly enjoying the attention. Besides, he’d find out who, and what, she was soon enough, she was sure, given who he was and the people he knew. But until then, she’d continue to act like nothing more than a...what was that word? Domestic house cat.
The Flerken mewed at his question about running away and quickly circled around him, trying to convey her response to him - that she was simply a free cat and was able to go wherever she wanted. Granted, her main place of residence was at SHIELD, but with everything that went down, it wasn’t all that safe - not to mention, she enjoyed traveling and was currently going around meeting all the known Superheroes and Avengers. Their reactions were all very amusing to her - some positive and others, well...they didn’t seem to like cats all that much.
His offer of keeping her company made Goose hop up onto his back and then onto his shoulder where she perched herself, tail curling around his neck as though agreeing to his offer, even rubbing her head against the side of his...
Tumblr media
...until she sensed something. The fur along her pack suddenly stood up and without warning, she jumped from his shoulder and onto the ground with a hiss, tail swaying fiercely back and forth before she began to run off, only to stop and look back at Peter, waiting for him to follow.
Friend or Foe? Definitely Friend

Okay, but, can we all agree that Pepper is basically the Mom of the Avengers?
Haven’t eaten in a day or more? Pepper will make sure you eat something! Haven’t slept? She’ll make sure you take a nap! Not feeling well? Mama Pepper is on it!
And don’t try to lie your way out of it because Pepper KNOWS. After helping take care of Tony all these years when he forgot to take care of himself, she’s become quite the expert.
Also...Mama Pepper feels. -cries-

Continued from here. @sensesdialed
It was easy for Pepper to see that Peter was feeling ill – his health wasn’t in the best condition what with the visible exhaustion under his eyes, the tiredness in his voice, and now, the sway and stagger in his movements. These were symptoms Pepper had seen numerous times - but not in Peter - but in Tony. Many a times Tony had neglected his own health due to being so focused in his work and though Pepper knew it wasn’t exactly intentional, it still became a huge problem and many a times Pepper had to step in and force Tony to stop working on whatever he was working on and focus on himself.
He would go days without eating an actual meal, days without getting enough sleep, and days without just resting and it would show - his stumbling, his slurring of words, how exhausted he looked, sometimes even vomiting or just being ill. Lately, though, Pepper made sure it didn’t get that extreme anymore and Tony had been better about taking care of himself, but now it was happening to Peter and there was no way Pepper was going to let that continue.
Tumblr media
“No, Peter, you’re not fine.” Pepper stated sternly, hurrying to his side when he lost his balance, helping keep him steady. “And yesterday? Nothing about this is fine.” Her voice was still stern, but the concern was visible - he needed something to eat, but given the condition he was in, eating too much at once after going a full day without it, would be strenuous on his stomach. So, it would have to be something light to start.
“Let’s get you to your room and I will bring you something to eat. And don’t even think about arguing with me about this, you won’t win. Just ask Tony.” She offered a little smirk, keeping her arm around him to help keep him on his feet. This wasn’t her first rodeo dealing with something like this, nor her second, or third, or fourth and so on...so Peter trying to get out of this would only fail and she sure as hell wouldn’t let Peter carry on in the condition he was in.

The warning alarms had gone off when an unknown spacecraft had entered the area, prompting Steve to watch from outside the facility, at the ready in case this was some sort of threat, while Nat, Bruce and Pepper watched from the cameras. It wasn’t a ship that any of them recognized and even appeared to be badly damaged as though it had been involved in some sort of battle - but who was in it? Ally or enemy?
Tumblr media
Everyone waited with bated breaths, hoping that whoever was in that spacecraft meant them no harm - another fight was the last thing anyone wanted right now and not everyone - or anyone, rather - had even fully recovered from all that happened only a few days ago - but the question was, could they even recover? Physically, yes, but emotionally? Mentally? That was something else entirely.
They watched as the doors on the side of the ship opened and all they could see was a dark figure, the glare of the sun making it hard to see who or what they were, but then...came the words...came his voice.
I’m back.
Tumblr media
And Pepper’s breathing came to a sudden halt with a quiet gasp, her eyes wide and her hands clenching the roll of papers and phone in her hands. She didn’t even wait for the glare to clear, there was no point because she knew - and after dropping the papers and phone onto the table Pepper hurried out of the room and down the halls of the facility, her heart beating a mile a minute and the tears already welling in her eyes.
It didn’t take her long to finally get to where Steve was, where Tony now was. “Tony!” His name flew from her mouth the moment he was in her sight, her voice breathless and laced in sheer relief, elated that he was alive! And that he was home!
She threw her arms around him with a soft cry, embracing him against her trembling body. “God, Tony...you’re alive...” She whispered into his neck, unable to help but hug him a little tighter, afraid to let go of him - afraid to lose him again. “You’re alive...” Deep down in her heart, Pepper knew - Pepper believed he was alive and refused to believe otherwise.
Post IW - Open Starter

“I’m back.” It’s a dry statement, his useless mirth having been crushed, taken by the snap of one’s fingers, felt billions of miles away. How he managed to get back to Earth is the real question, one he’s sure will be asked time and time again. He managed to get her to help, the alien who had shown up in the middle of Quill’s plan, the only other one left. He’s still bruised, beaten, bloody, but alive. Which is more than he can say for most. He still doesn’t know who’s survived here, who has made it through the end of the universe. Or, rather, half the universe.
“Tell me you’re not the only one here.” It’s been a few days, and returning to the Avengers Facility had been a long shot, but it was his first instinct. Where else would they go? After all, they had to figure this out, now that they had failed. He doesn’t know who’s survived. The suit was practically dead, almost completely destroyed by the fight on Titan. “Who else made it?”

“Tony asked me to come check on you,” The redhead stated as she entered his room after a couple of knocks, offering as warm a smile she could in this kind of situation. To be honest, though, Pepper had wanted to come check on him anyway, and introduce herself, and also thank him for his help even though things didn’t go the way they’d wanted or intended...Tony filled her in on all of it.
A few days had passed since the incident and most of the Avengers, and Guardians, were still recovering - Tony included. Pepper was doing all she could to help them, but the damage was more emotional and mental than it was physical now, and understandably so.

Everyone had lost someone they cared about and Peter was no different. But given what happened on Titan, she figured it was more than just about losing those he cared for.
“I...won’t ask if you’re alright because I don’t think anyone is.” She started, her eyes falling to the tray in her hands. “But, I, uh, did bring you something to eat. Nothing too heavy,” A bowl of soup with some toast and water - something simple, light and easy on the stomach.

☆゚Sentences → A Dragon, Oh My
❝ Oh, oh you’re hurt! ❞
❝ Easy, easy. I’m not going to hurt you, I just want to cut you loose. ❞
❝ No, I didn’t come to steal from you! I swear! ❞
❝ I don’t trust you, and you don’t trust me. But we’ll have to work together, okay? ❞
❝ How have you hidden out here for so long? ❞
❝ My home is in danger. I’ve come to seek a deal with you. ❞
❝ Perhaps we can strike a trade, of some sort? ❞
❝ Oh, you humans are so very fragile. ❞
❝ I admire your tenacity, though hunting me down serves you no good. ❞
❝ Who dares trespass into my domain? ❞
❝ I’m not a tool for you humans to abuse. ❞
❝ I never said I hated you. You’re like a pet. A small, annoying pet that I easily lose. ❞
❝ Don’t touch my wings! You mortals have done enough damage! ❞
❝ You…you were supposed to be a myth… ❞
❝ Lost, are we? ❞
