I know it's not said anywhere, but I'm curious to what people think.

Originally I was thinking no, but considering their was a scrapped earth lander in Giants who used a hammer and looked a lot like a mabu, I think there *may* be a connection considering Snap Shot and Krypt King were also planned for Giants

Can I request Tri tip

Yes you can! I have little experience with the character myself, but he's got a cool design, and Smasher is my favorite class of Imaginator, even if I sadly haven't obtained any of the Sensei Smashers.

After looking at his moveset, I can confirm, Tri Tip looks like an absolute delight to play!

Updated Origin Story:

Tri-Tip was the chief of a faraway band of Dinosaur Hunters, renowned for their skill and strength. Among his tribe were many elites, but his closest friend and second in command was a stout, boomerang wielding beast by the name of Dino-Rang. The two of them traveled across continents beyond the world of Skylands together with their band of warriors, taking down prey that could dwarf even Arkeyans with their teamwork and gargantuan strength.

However, one thing that the band of dinosaurs had never faced in their homelands was magic. When a group of Spell Punks made their way to the home of Tri-Tip, he and his group fought them off, the same way that they would to any other invader, but they were caught in a ritual of teleportation magic, sending the group scattered across the universe.

Tri-Tip landed in Skylands, where he was nursed back to health by a village of Mabu. He learned from the Mabu that there was a legendary plant known as the Warping Walnut Tree that teleported across all of Skylands, never appearing in the same place twice. Anyone who could open one of its golden walnuts would supposedly be granted the knowledge to fix their greatest problems.

It took years, but Tri-Tip eventually made it to the tree, collecting a single walnut before it teleported away once again. When he tried to open it with his powerful horns, he had no success.

Tri-Tip was told by the Mabus that he should seek out the Skylanders, since they're the strongest warriors in all the lands, and Tri-Tip did just that, meeting with each group consecutively to try and find someone to crack the walnut. The legendary King Pen of the Senseis had no luck, nor did running the nut over with Superchargers. Wallop's hammers were to no avail, and neither was the bombs of Blast Zone. When even the mighty Tree Rex couldn't even crack the nut, Tri-Tip was about ready to give up.

Tri-Tip forged a powerful mace using a piece of each and every skylander team. Its handle was made of Imaginite, to fuel his will. Its head was an alloy of Traptanium and Supercharger steel, for maximum power, and it was forged in the Cloudbreak Volcano with the help of the Giants' strength.

Tri-Tip had spent years now, searching for the nut, trying to break it, and forging the mace, and when not even the power of one of the strongest weapons in all of Skylands, he still could not break the walnut!

With all of his options rendered null, Tri-Tip had one last lead to follow: the Eon's Elite. The longest fighting, most powerful and trained Skylanders to ever live. Tri-Tip went before them and begged for their help breaking the nut, only to come face to face with the person he had spent all this time searching for: Dino-Rang.

After over a decade apart, Tri-Tip had long come to terms with his thoughts, and upon first sight, confessed his true feelings...

Now, Tri-Tip serves as a Sensei at Skylanders Academy, since he has so much experience with each different group after working with them all for so long. He never managed to break the golden walnut, but he doesn't mind. He and his husband are plenty fine where they are now.

Tri-Tip may be one of the least experienced Skylanders, but all the time he spent with each individual group and traveling on his own made him an easy candidate for a position as a sensei

Tri-Tip has an irrational hatred for all kinds of nuts now, an does not get along well with many life Skylanders because of it.

That's what I could come up with for Tri-Tip. Do you like it? I'm always down for feedback, as long as it's polite ^^

One of my longest origin stories yet, but he just had a lot of potential in my opinion. So much more could be done with him!

aha, no, Wallop is a close friend, but not in the way I am with fire. also I don't have a favourite villain, even if I did, it would not be the man who both discovered the musical note that causes pain to any who hear it AND timetravelled 10,000 years into the future, successfully taking over the skylands.

MY ARMY (literally)

Ever had that one thing you were obsessed with so much to the point where you had an army of the stuff?

Well, turns out I have an actual army. My army of ~105 Skylanders.

ONE-HUNDRED-AND-FIVE, COUNTING REPEATS. REPOSES, VEHICLES, ITEMS, ADVENTURE PACKS, EVERYTHING. I think it's 105, but I'm not sure. It's been a hot minute since I last counted.

And y'all may be askin'-

"Why are you mentioning this?"

Because I feel a bit daring, and the fact I haven't played on Nightmare Mode in any of the games, yet I completed all six console releases' stories (except Superchargers Racing and the 3DS ports), says that while I have the strength in numbers, that is the only thing I've one-up'd on.

And I don't even have Skylanders like Wildstorm, or Wallop, or even Bouncer and Jawbreaker. Instead I have ones like 'Cobra Cadabra' and 'Dino-Rang' and 'that one core Skylander from SWAP Force', which by the way, some of the Skylanders in that game are POWERFUL yet they're mostly forgotten. We talking Smolderdash and Trap Shadow and then the luck of the claw herself!

Scratch is my favorite Skylander. Which leads me to my second topic: I die easily in video games for one simple reason. I ALWAYS THRUST MYSELF INTO A PIT OF ENEMIES AND ALWAYS COME OUT HURT. And you may think I choose defensive paths. Well, "DEFENSE IS FOR THE WEAK," I say as I choose Scratch's ruby path. That's why I choose more offensive paths, which is why I'm like, the only person who like Scratch's top path. If you can't defend yourself, give them something they gave to you. Most of the time, a beating to the heads of those trolls.

Reasonings:

10: Look at the crab!!!! Also an attempt at Mer!Formers, but I mostly like this because of the crab.

15: I just like this drawing of Wallop. :) Also yes I am aware Wallop’s eyes are blue, I just drew them as yellow.

17: The only picture of my BotBots OC Finalist I actually like. (Psss the text says “See?”)

22: This pic is actually connected to one of the AUs I did for AU-gust, which the link for can be found on my side blog linked in the pinned post on my profile. I really like how I drew Whirl and Hot Shot here, but yeah, nothing much else to it.

27: Suddenly X-Men. I like how I drew Sauron in this image, along with the mouse. Dunno why, just kinda do.

28: (ProwlOP, ProwlOP, ProwlOP—) I really like how I drew all of the TFA crew in this image, along with just the general vibe of the image, if that makes any sense. (Look, I really like ProwlOP and the other ProwlOP drawing sucks, ok?)

You might notice these next seven are separated from the other six, and that’s because they’re connected!

Unlike when I was posting these separately, I put these in order, but… if for whatever reason Tumblr messes up the order, the order is as follows: 5, 13, 8, 20, 25 (psss text here says “You can… bring me back to brother?”), 18, 29.

Want a rough outline of how this went? Well, I call it Jetfire Suffers and it’s what it is on the tin. The divergence point is when the Jettwins discover their fire/wind abilities, but Jetstorm never gets his wind. That’s image one, the event. Also, the fire that spread killed Preceptor (who I always call Perpetrator so that’s fun) before it was tamed. Image two is the aftermath of said event. Jazz is a good friend/caretaker. Between two and three, Jazz helps Jetfire get to Earth. For what reason, who knows, I’m not too sure beyond angry science division minus Wheeljack. Image three is on Earth when Jetfire has to use his fire for lighting some sort of cave, but using his fire always reminds him of his dead brother. Image four… the prompt was “bluff” and its a Decepticon. She attempted to tempt Jetfire into joining them, but in the end failed because they couldn’t actually bring Jetstorm back. Image five, hey look it’s Jetstorm and an implied Unicron! For the record, I would image in this AU, Unicron is more of a chaotic neutral than the incarnation of evil and destruction. He just wants to cause chaos and do fun stuff. Anyways, Unicron takes notice of Jetstorm and they talk, leading to that question in the image. Image six, Jetfire is for whatever reason back on Cybertron and Jetstorm has been “revived”. I say revived, I more mean like he’s a zombie that can control himself. This is when they encounter each other, Jetstorm wandering around and Jetfire, for whatever reason, being in the area. Image seven, hey looks it’s a very disformed Preceptor! Unicron took one look at Preceptor hurting the precious child named Jetstorm, went “you do not get to rest peacefully” and made him into this monstrous.

Nothing else after that so… fun. :)
