"Hey, Nanamin!"
Kento looked over his newspaper, to the bubblegum boy gleaming into the staffroom. Kento hummed, his cover-all noise for greeting, confirmation, disapproval, etc.
"I'm buying us lunch today. Know anywhere good to eat?" Yuuji bubbled, pulling his wallet out with a flourish.
Kento frowned, firm in his chastisement. "You should save your money, Itadori-kun. You don't buy lunch when you're with me. It's wasteful, frankly, for someone with minimal income such as yourself. You should be more sensible with your money."
Yuuji's bottom lip puckered, but he remained bright and doubled down. "It's just, you buy lunch every time I'm on a mission with you, and-- and I'm really grateful, it's just that today--"
"I appreciate the offer." Kento stood, clipped, moving over to you, witnessing the exchange from your place by the coffee machine.
Kento turned away from Yuuji, pouring another coffee. "But it isn't necessary. I don't expect you to be offering to buy an adult lunch, when you should be building some savings. When you have time, I can talk you through what sorts of savings accounts you can--"
"Ahhh no no no Nanamin it's okay, I...I'm good. It's okay. I'm...I'm good." Yuuji deflated, his rainbows muting. "I'll uh...I'll see you after you eat, then, yeah?"
Yuuji closed the door. You tippy-tapped your fingers on the counter, looking shrewdly at Kento as he washed his used mug. You mused aloud.
"Yuuji hasn't got a dad." Silence. Splashing water. You sipped your coffee. "Hasn't got a grandfather either." Kento bristled, wondering as to your meaning, placing his mug upside down to drain.
"I assume you have a poin--"
"It's Father's Day." Kento froze. His brain whirred. "You buy your Father lunch on Father's Day to show you appreciate him--"
"Please excuse me." Kento walked to the staffroom door, frantically paddling below a smooth surface. The door closed, clicking politely. You heard Kento's steps speed up as he ran down the corridor, hearing him growing fainter as he called in the distance:
"Itadori-kun. Come back! Itadori-kun! Buy me lunch!"
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Kento's fingers itched to reach for his card in his favourite coffee shop, clenching his fists instead as Yuuji counted out his cash. Kento couldn't deny, sat at the window with a casse-croute, that seeing Yuuji's face light up with the joy of gift-giving, made it all exquisitely worth it.
Yuuji's joy was fragile. He broke the silence over his panini.
"...I'm sorry it's not much."
"It's perfect. This is my favourite meal. I'm..." Kento broke off, his voice thick, his mind lost somewhere in the bustling crowds beyond the window. Yuuji brimmed with pride.
"...thank you, Yuuji."

— for whatever it's worth / nagi seishiro x reader. (ain't that the worst thing you've ever heard?)
— light angst. happy ending. yukimiya kenyu as plot fodder (sorry.) friends to lovers. misunderstandings.
— part two of i dreamt you loved me. quick warning: i'm not exaggerating when i say i was braindead when i was writing this. it's bad but it's your problem now <3
you thought you were being honest with yourself when you said you’d be fine.
you understood, truly—that you would miss him more than you should, even when he's so close. you think, if you message him, he'd reply anyway; but all your messages remain unsent, kept hidden the way you think your feelings should’ve been kept.
it’s a frustrating thing, to remind yourself every day that you don’t need nagi no matter how much you miss him; to tell yourself you don’t miss the comfort of his presence, the warmth of his lips mumbling against the pulse on your neck, his calm voice keeping you earthed.
it’s not even supposed to be this way.
despite nagi approaching you that day, he doesn’t do it again. he’s across the room or running away from you the moment he notices you coming. while you keep pushing the distance, he keeps pulling.
you start wondering if you kept pushing, pushing, pushing–if you kept doing that, would you be too much of a bother already? if he was doing this much to avoid you, shouldn’t you just suck it up and walk away?
a week later, you don’t get any more time to decide. yukimiya is there, walking beside you as you enter your usual café, a charming smile on his lips.
“you go ahead and sit, i’ll order for us,” he offers, nodding towards the booth you always take.
you nod, “oh, my order, it’s—”
yukimiya arches an eyebrow, looking at you like you’re silly, “i got it, y/n.”
the feeling of your cheeks heating up is instantaneous. “well then,” you try again, taking your wallet out, “my payment.”
he keeps that expression, then he’s shaking his head. “i got it, y/n,” he stands his ground and you’re left to sigh, taking the defeat.
just as you take your seat, the door clings with the sound of someone entering. on instinct, you turn towards it only to feel your breath getting knocked out of you because nagi is there and he’s looking around the place like he’s searching for someone.
he keeps looking until meets your gaze (and maybe you still love him too much, because you could almost say for sure that his eyes brighten at the sight of you) and when he starts walking towards you, you think perhaps you’re having a fever dream.
“y/n.”
“nagi-kun,” you almost squeak, still surprised. nagi almost wants to wince, because you’ve only ever called him that when you were still unfamiliar with each other.
he reaches a hand towards his nape, a habit he does when he’s uncertain, “can i join you?”
you gape for a moment, confused, because there he is—the one you miss the most, the best friend you crave so badly—the one who left your feelings unanswered; yet you’re not even sure if you’re meant to say yes because yukimiya is there, walking towards you, stopping right beside nagi and placing your drinks on the table.
“oh,” you hear nagi, realizing you’re not alone.
yukimiya turns to him, his smile falters for only a split second you almost miss it, “ah, nagi-kun, yes?”
nagi only nods with tension brewing in the air, you kind of want to cry only because it feels as if you’ve found yourself at a shitshow of a situation. sighing, you smile apologetically at yukimiya. “come sit, yukki,” you hesitate before speaking again, “i think i should step out and talk to nagi for a moment though, is that okay?”
he nods despite the apprehensive look on his face. you stand, gesturing nagi towards the door.
when you’re outside, nagi is the first one to speak.
“we can just talk next time,” he offers, as if this wasn’t the first time in weeks that he’s even tried to talk to you.
he watches your lips curl into a frown, and he knows he’s said the wrong thing, “i just don’t wanna intrude in your… date?” he continues, sounding uncertain.
you laugh mirthlessly, “what do you mean, date?” you ask. you feel half hurt, half confused. you’re not sure why, but it feels like a punch to the gut that he’s telling you this as if he’s completely forgotten about your confession.
“oh, i just thought–he likes you, right? i thought you had something going on…”
“are you serious, sei? or have you forgotten?”
“forgotten what?”
your responding sigh let out is harsh, drawn out, and maybe if nagi had more empathy in him, he’d even hear the hurt, “that it’s you, sei. that i love you, and you’re–” your voice wavers, your initial sob is heavy, and nagi watches the way your face crumples, trying not to cry even though it’s futile, “you’re asking me if i like someone else when you know–”
“oh,” he trails off, his finger incessantly tapping at his thigh, a nervous tic.
“yeah, oh. i hate you and fuck you for that,” you tell him, except your voice is weak and there’s no real bite in your tone, “that’s fucked up, sei.”
“sorry,” he tells you, and he means it, no matter how much it seems he’s at a loss for words. he licks his lips before his mouth parts again, “i just mean,” he pauses, fumbling for the right words to say, “we’re friends first, before anything else, right? if you like him, you should give it a shot.”
you can’t help the exasperation when you react, tears free falling down the pavement beneath you, “is it that hard for you to acknowledge my feelings, sei?”
there’s nothing but the faint sound of the cafe inside and the hiccup of your sobs yet your heartbreak is deafening. right there, you realise it would hurt if he was around as much as it did when he wasn’t.
“just tell me this, nagi,” you exhale, trying to brave it, “why can’t it just be us?”
you don’t know how to feel when he answers you without thinking, like he knew this already. “i can’t reciprocate your feelings, y/n. i can’t be the boyfriend you want,” he tells you. it’s honest, as he always is, and it's a stalemate from there.
there’s a whimper of your hurt you try to bite back with your tongue before you nod one last time, “i should go back,” you tell him.
you’re walking away before he could say anything more.
it doesn't take long for you to realize that nagi is truly gone from you this time around.
while you try to move on, you tell yukimiya about your feelings, but he’s persistent, and he thinks it’ll be fine if it meant he even had a chance.
except it feels oddly empty sometimes, even when you find yourself in the affections of yukimiya. until february and march pass and you realize you're still willing nagi back, you grieved. your love, his absence, the futile attempt you'd made at untethering the red thread keeping you woven to him—you grieved it all.
the next month without him gone and you find yourself slipping away from yukimiya. you confess that you’ll probably love nagi for a long time and until then you couldn’t let him wait around for nothing.
soon enough, though, you find yourself hanging out with isagi at the cafe to catch up—something you could only usually do together since you can't find the will to join all three of them with nagi there.
this time, though, your heart wins.
“have you guys been hanging out with nagi lately?” you regret it as soon as you ask.
“you should just message him,” he replies, looking at you expectantly. but your reaction doesn’t fail him when you recoil at his suggestion.
“absolutely not, yoichi-kun,” you sigh. with a pout, you try again, “he’s free today, right? do you think he’d come here if you asked him to?”
he scratches at his cheek, “i can call him.”
it’s comical enough that he’s almost amused, the way your lips stretch to a wide grin as he slips his phone out to call nagi. but when the ringing stops and you hear nagi’s faint voice, you try not to pay attention to the phone call only because you don’t want to get your hopes up.
it’s quick, though. and isagi’s pausing to talk to you, “he’s asking if it’s fine with you, y/n?”
of course isagi tells him you’re there, but you nod anyway, because it sounds like he’s coming.
when nagi’s finally there, with bachira and reo with him, you don’t know why you’re so relieved; everything falls into place and the air is easy to breathe.
it’s late when everyone starts saying goodbye and you stay standing by the door of the cafe, wondering if everything is going to be okay from here.
“y/n,” nagi calls from beside you, “let’s walk back together.”
it’s not a question, but years of being friends with him tells you this is his way of letting you know he missed you. you chew at your lip, trying not to smile, because it feels like you have him back.
your smile wins with warmth filling your chest, “okay—yeah, i’d like that.”
he falls into step beside you, the silence is comfortable but there’s been so much left unsaid since you last saw him. you steal a quick glance, taking him in, you missed him so much that you’re not sure you should even bring it up anymore; like if it meant you’d have to eat your feelings just to keep him around, you would.
somehow, nagi senses your hesitation, taking the initiative to speak first, “it was really boring without you around.”
your heart skips a beat, treacherous, “really?” you reply, the smile evident in your voice.
he hums, “mm, didn’t have anyone to lean on when i sleep.”
“is that all i am to you?” you say lightly, laughing, but the words meant more than you intended and your laughter dies down. grimacing, you clear your throat, “sorry, i didn’t mean it like that.”
nagi only nods, his gaze intense as he looks at you. you continue, trying to ease the awkwardness, “i’m just glad we’re okay again, sei. and for what it’s worth, i probably don’t love you anymore.”
you try to save it with a lie, but your words hang between you like paperweight, and nagi's expression shifts slightly at your response.
he stops, urging you to look back at him. he takes a step towards you, so close you almost stumble back, hand reaching out to tilt your chin, just like that day when everything between you shifted. but then he speaks, his voice quiet and measured, "i do, though.”
it's a simple statement, but it carries a world of emotion with it, and you can see it etched on his face. he watches you when he says it, the gleam that appears in your eyes at his confession, "and i want you to feel the same again." his tone is confident, almost daring, something you can’t do anything about.
you can feel it, the depth of his desire, his insistence on everything he wanted; now it’s you, and you almost want to tell him you love him, still, that you never even stopped.
“but why are you telling me this?" your question is a whisper, hesitant. “you said you don’t want a relationship, sei…”
“i don’t think i mind if it’s with you.” the sincerity seeps through his voice even when he shrugs, his eyes are trained on your lips.
hope blooms within you and you think nagi can tell, because there’s a twitch of a smile on the corner of his lips.
he really wants to kiss you, but you’d probably be upset for real this time if he does, so he moves to press a kiss on your forehead instead before stepping away.
with your flustered expression though, you’d think he just kissed you and more.
it feels like home–nagi’s arms around you, the warmth of it, the comfort. it’s familiar but it feels so much more this time around.
"wanna hear something weird, sei?" you ask him softly, like you’re telling a secret.
nagi hums, his eyes closed. "what is it?" he asks, voice laced with sleep.
"when i missed you," you started, "i dreamt about you–i dreamt of you sitting in the kitchen telling me you couldn’t be bothered to eat, but that you really wanted me to cook for you.”
he opens his eyes, meeting your gaze, a small smile playing on his lips. “that’s how bad you missed me?”
you scrunch your face, not taking the bait, “no. maybe i was just hungry, sei.”
you feel nagi pull you closer, lips pressing to your shoulder blade, muttering against your skin, “i’m glad you’re here again, y/n.” and it sounds like i missed you then, too.
“me too, sei. i'm happy you're here.”

kun x reader
"hey, i want that"
i told him while pointing at the lonely chips bag lying flat in the shelf on front of me.
it seems like people did not bother to buy it today, i don't know if it's because they don't like the flavor or it's just gonna expire soon.
either way, i'll take it home 'cause I pity it. like how i should be for myself.
"take it if you want it, i'll pay for it anyway" he mumbled the last part, and I chuckled.
and then suddenly i jumped on his back and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"you serious?" i asked as I squished my cheek onto his.
"get off me" he said while quietly laughing, pushing me off his back, conscious that the few customers there could see us like that.
so I granted his wish and hopped down. i'm still smiling.
"yeah, i'm serious, just take what you want..." he said while continuing to roam around the aisles.
and so i got what i want...
"how about you? are you going to get something?"
"i'm good with this" he lifted the coca-cola can in his right hand.
We walked towards the sleepy cashier near the exit, suddenly jolting up when he heard the sound of the can landing on the marbled counter.
then i started staring at his face while he fishes for his brown wallet in his jeans' pocket.
and i stared.
and i stared.
and i stared.
"hey, let's leave now" kun snapped his fingers on front me, stopping me from staring at him too much.
he's used to it. i'm used to it. so it doesn't really matter i guess...
he was about to lead me out of the store, carrying the paper bag, when suddenly raindrops started pouring.
"shit, let's just stay here for a while..." he told me, pushing me gently back inside the store.
i said nothing as I went back to looking at his face.
"you know, your staring won't change anything between us..." he finally looked at me, then looked out the glass window walls to see if the rain finally stops.
"i'm sorry i can't help it, it just gets worse everytime i'm with you..." i mumbled the last part.
suddenly, the floor is so pretty to look at.
i felt that he looked at me again, taking a long pause before saying the next brutal words for me.
"you know i'll never be in love with you, right?"
shit. uhh, that hurts. like really fucking hurts.
i nodded in agreement.
"i hate that you keep torturing yourself for this..." he said to me. pitying me for what i am to him
"no, don't be...I...I'm just hoping that we w-would continue being friends like, this..I" a tear accidentally came out of my eye as I tried to explain it to him.
he stood there in silence.
"I just still want to be someone you can lean on to, even if you don't really like me back or anything, no, I...just want to be your friend..."
now i can't stop my tears from coming out. i'm glad that the cashier finally gave in and slept so he wouldn't hear me sobbing at the corner because of the man right beside me.
i can't really look at him straight in the eyes because he's going to hurt me more, so my eyes just wandered everywhere around the store, avoiding his..face.
i know that kun doesn't really know how to react to this, to me.
so he just pulled me by the hand to keep me close to him, my left cheek on his chest as he rubbed up and down my back to calm me down from crying.
my hands gave in to him, and weakly held onto the hem of his shirt to keep him close to me even more.
and it helped me calm down, but the pain of it was still lingering inside me...
and i'm already okay with that.

NCT reaction to someone making fun of their plus size girlfriend. Part 1
Part 2
Johnny: "Look at me" Johnny guided your eyes to his "Screw those guys, their opinions don't matter" he held eye contact with you so deeply it was hard for you to not fight against his hand on your chin. "Only a miserable person would care this much about someone else's body. Don't listen to them. " Johnny said as he wiped your tears with the sleeve of his sweater. "Let's get out of here" he wrapped his arm around you and tucked you into his chest as he led you out while staring the men who teased you down. Intimidating them with a single look and mouthing threats you couldn't make out but the men understood and remained quiet as you two passed by.
Taeyong: "Honey" Taeyong's bright dewy eyes met yours as you sniffled back tears. "You know what they're saying isn't true right? You're beautiful and there is nothing wrong with your body. You have to know that." His voice broke as he held back his own tears. "Why are people so mean?" He wrapped you in his arms as the tears both of you held back emerged. "I don't know" you cried the pain in your voice causing Taeyong's heart to break. "You're not those mean things they're saying about you. You're perfect, beautiful, amazing and I love you. You don't deserve this" Taeyong rocked you in his arms as his lips pressed into your hair.
Yuta: "You know none of the things their saying is true right?" Yuta held your face in his hands. You nod "And they're just dumbasses with small dicks with nothing better to do with their lives" You nod "And you're body is beautiful and I love every bit of you. You know all that right?" You nod once more. "Good, now here's my phone, wallet and keys call my lawyer if I get arrested" he kissed the top of your head, slid on brass knuckles and ran off in the direction of the men who were making fun of you.
Kun: "Are you okay?" Kun noticed you going silent as whispered insults surrounded you. You only nodded as you tried to continue dinner but you no longer had the appetite to eat. Kun called the waiter over asking for the check and for some to go containers. He didnt pressure you to speak as he packed up both of your meals and paid the check. He stood taking your hand in his and removing you from the restaurant as quickly as possible. Once outside he brought you close into his chest "No one has the right to talk about your body like that" he squeezed you tightly in his arms. "I'm so sorry I couldn't move any faster" he held you tighter wanting to protect you as much as possible.
Doyoung: "Don't worry." Doyoung ran his hand down your hair as he stood in front of you "Who do you think you're talking about?" He walked closer to the men who spoke about you unkindly. "I just want to know what kind of man would talk about a woman's body like that." His arms were crossed as he got into their face. The men back tracked which only made Doyoung chuckle. No words were said Doyoung just shoved the guy he was faced with until you pulled him away. Doyoung held his hands up and promptly wrapped his arm around you and turned away from the man on the floor. "Fuck that guy, you're so much more than the mean things people say" Doyoung held you close to his chest as you both walked away. .
Ten: "No, no none of that" Ten picked up a napkin and wiped your tears as the sound of mean girls taunting you broke you into a million pieces. "Don't waste tears on people whose opinion doesn't matter" he dried your cheek with his thumb. "You know I love you. And you know you I think you're the most beautiful girl in the world. But do you think you are?" Ten fixed the mascara that ran under your eyes. "You are hesitating a little too long for me. You do know that your body isn't the problem, it's everyone else that's the problem right?" He tucked your hair behind your ear as his eyes held yours. You nod quietly against his hand. "Now again and I better hear yes. Do you think you're beautiful just as you are?" He asked once more. The moment he felt you nod in his hand he pressed his lips against your cheek. "Good, and that's the only opinion that should matter."
Jaehyun: "Hey, don't let them get to you" Jaehyun pulled you closer as you two were sat on a bench. "It's stupid they're so upset about your weight" Jaehyun tucked you into his chest blocking out the noise that surrounded you both as he guided you to your feet. "You're so much better than anyone who doesn't have anything else better to do with their time." He stood and led you away from where you were. Once they were no longer in ear shot Jaehyun ran his hand along your cheek "Your perfect as you are and you never have to worry about anything as silly as your weight" He rubbed your cheek just before pressing his lips against yours.
Winwin: Winwin placed his hands over your ears almost immediately. He ran his thumbs across your cheeks drying your tears as he looked around the mall his eyes meeting exactly what he was desperately searching for. "come on" his hand fell from your ears and grabbed your hand. Quickly he pulled you into a store that was completely empty besides a single employee at the register "Are you okay?" He looked down at you his face full of worry as he looked into your teary eyes. "I hate when people talk about you like that" His deep voice was soft. "I hope you know none of that's true and I would never think that about you" Winwin held your hand in his as his usually shy eyes were staring at only you. "You're exactly as you should be and you'll always be beautiful to me" he pressed his lips into the back of your hand before wrapping you in his arms.
Jungwoo: "Hey, hey, don't listen to those guys" Jungwoo called your attention up to him as you were stirring the ice around in your drink. "Do you want to eat somewhere else? We don't have to be here." Jungwoo reached across the table to hold your hand. The moment you say "it's fine, I'm used to it" Jungwoo's eyes become teary as he watches you avoid eye contact. "You shouldn't be." His voice breaks "You shouldn't be used to being treated like this. Why? Because of your size?" Tears began to fall from his eyes "That isn't fair" Jungwoo felt what you've experienced your whole life in those seconds. "You don't deserve that" he brought your hand close to his chest. "We're leaving" Jungwoo sniffled back his tears. "This shouldn't be normal and with me it never will be normal again." He stood taking your hand and guiding you up. He carried your things and wrapped his arm around you holding you as close as possible as he walked you out of the restaurant.

Toman request
(Name) has a pet rat (why you may ask cause rats are cute) and one day (name) is running late to a meeting and doesn’t know that his pet rat is in his pocket and when he gets to the meeting pet rat decides to explore (and this is gonna be where tenjiku, brahms sand black dragons are in toman) and while everyone is paying attention to mikey ran sees the rat and just screams while jumping into some arms and his scream alerts everyone else about the rat and some are amazed, grossed out or panicking as well. (Name) is like panicking cause he doesn’t want his fur baby to get hurt and is chasing after his pet rat
And maybe just for laughs (name) has secretly thought his pet rat to steal so when he finally catches his rat he sees that the rat is holding a wallet and everyone hears taiju, pah or koko say “alright who took my wallet?” (It’s cannon that pah and taiju have money)
I personally don't really like Rats. I don't have a good experience with them, but here you go enjoy!
(Name) huffed and continued running. He was running late for the Toman meeting. He had been cleaning his pet Rats cage when he noticed the time. The meeting was at 7pm and the time was 6:54pm. Now (Name) didn't live too far from the shrine, but his bike is currently getting fixed.
When he finally arrived he quickly took his place. Hoping nobody noticed, but he quickly had his back smacked roughly. (Name) yelped and fell over.
What he didn't notice was his pet rat running out of his uniform pocket.
(Name) quickly stood up and brushed his uniform off and turned. Seeing his Captain give him a stern look. "(Name) your late." (Name) huffed and looked away. "Sorry sir. I was doing my chores when I noticed the time, and my bike is currently in the shop so I had to run here."
Taiju ruffled his hair and barked out a laugh. "You should've told me, I would've had someone get you." (Name) blushed and looked away. "N-No sir it's okay." Before Taiju could reply, a high pitch scream sounded.
Everyone turned towards the sound, seeing the infamous Haitani Ran climbing his captain. "Oi! Get off me!" Izana tried pulling Ran off him. "Izana there's a rat!" Izana ignored him and kept trying to get the oldest Haitani off him.
(Name) looked at them confused. Until more people started yelling and running away. Yelling about a rat. When (Name) saw what the rat looked like he paled. "REMI?!" (Name) quickly started chasing his pet rat.
Everyone cleared out of their way, not wanting to be in the way. The captains watched amused. Since they've never seen him like this. It was quite the sight honestly.
When (Name) finally caught the rat, he noticed something peculiar. "Remi, what do you have?" The rat quickly tried to escape, but (Name) sighed grabbing the object. Which turned out to be a wallet.
(Name) chuckled and kissed his head. "You finally learned huh?" That's when he heard a loud voice yell out. "Wait! Where the fuck is my wallet?!" (Name) turned and saw a panicking Kokonoi. (Name) quickly made his way over.
"Koko I'm so sorry! I've been teaching Remi some stuff, and he took your wallet." (Name) bowed and held out the wallet, which was promptly snatched by the owner. "Whose Remi?" (Name) straighten up and held out his pet.
"My pet rat! I was cleaning his cage earlier and I was running late for the meeting. I completely forgot he was in my pocket." (Name) sweat-dropped. Some came over wanting to meet the pet, while everyone else watched from afar.
"Wait, what else does he have?" Taiju snatchs the object in the Rats mouth. "Wait! This is my wallet!" (Name) laughed loudly. "Sorry Taiju-kun, I guess he wanted revenge from earlier." The rest of the meeting went by without anymore issues.
After the meeting (Name) started to make his way home, but as stopped by many members. "(Name)-san how did you teach your rat to take wallets?" "Yeah! That's such a smart thing to teach a pet!" (Name) blushed and shyly looked away. "This is actually the first time he did it correct. Usually he would just steal coins but, this time he got the actual wallet!"
Everyone else watched (Name) happily explain and show off his pet. While the captains and vice captains talked about, whether or not teaching his pet to steal was a good thing. "Honestly it could help us in the future." Baji said. Some nodded while others looked confused.
"Literally how?" Draken asked, the most confused out of them all. "Imagine you want some food but no money? You could just have him get you someone's wallet and BOOM! Free food!" Mikey nodded. He completely understood, while Draken an Mitsuya face-palmed.
This gang was full of idiots.

in which gojo cant seem to get his shit together when he's in front of the person he likes
synopsis: gojo tries his best to impress a regular he's been crushing on, too bad he can't keep his shit together long enough to make a proper latte
cw: gojo x reader, the babygirlfication of gojo satoru, ooc!gojo, he's actually not ooc my personal hc is that he gets real flustered in front of the person he really likes that's why, equally flustered and shy!reader, fem!reader, fluff, slightly proofread but not really, this is part of @freyzrc's very cute very good cafe au series! so please support the original creator!
word count: 1544
a/n: im actually scheduled for another DisappearanceTM but i 🥺 anyway, if you've been wondering where I've been I'm actually neck deep in jjk hell hence! i present to you, tumblr, this fic!!! (more hcs and context after the fic if you're interested in my ramblings)
Gojo, despite his very pretty (self-proclaimed) appearance, actually prefers to work the morning shift during the times when the café was not a bar. It’s definitely not because he’s more of a morning person, it’s also definitely not because he hates alcohol. Also, it’s certainly absolutely positively NOT because of a pretty girl that comes in every once in a while, to grab a latte at a time where it (in his opinion) should be an inappropriate time to get coffee. But it’s favourite part of the day anyway, he always finds himself looking forward to it despite the irregularity of the girl’s visit.
“Ah! Welcome!” Itadori’s voice chimed in, snapping Gojo out of his daydreaming.
“Welcome!” Gojo exclaimed, too. He turned around just in time to catch sight of the girl he was daydreaming about coming to the counter.
To say he was a little excited was an understatement, because Gojo had almost dropped the cup that he was drying to the floor, earning a snort from Geto who’d been standing next to him the entire time. Gojo turned to glare at him for a split second before returning his attention to you.
“The usual, right?” Itadori asked cheerily.
“Actually, could I get it hot today?” you asked softly.
“Of course! That’ll be out to you in a jiffy!”
You gave Itadori a smile while tucking away your wallet. As you walked away, you glanced behind the counter to note who was on shift. Geto gave you a kind nod before whispering something to Itadori.
Before you could get too far away Itadori raised his voice a little to catch your attention. “Um! Miss! Excuse me! I’m so sorry to bother but we’re a little short staffed today, would you mind waiting here for your coffee?”
He asked you so nicely you weren’t able to say no, it’s not like you would’ve in the first place, though. You approached the end of the counter, where they usually put the drinks before serving.
Geto gave you an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry, Megumi-kun’s out with the dogs and I’m just about to take my break, so I really hope you don’t mind.”
You nodded; you understood you told him.
“Thank you so much, hun’! It’s nice seeing you again.” Geto beamed, and right there you swear you died while you were on your way here because this can’t be happening.
Geto quickly excused himself and went to the back, leaving you flustered.
Gojo was by the machines pulling a shot when Geto so kindly passed by him to pat him on the butt. The daggers he had been glaring at him had Geto trying not to laugh the entire time.
When you noticed it was your favourite white-haired barista making your coffee today you nearly choked on your own spit. Surely, you definitely died on the way here today, that was the only reason why the stars had aligned so perfectly today.
By the time you snapped back to your senses, Gojo was practically right in front of you assembling the drinks. You were way too nervous to look directly at him but you felt it would’ve been rude to look away considering you just made eye contact with him.
You awkwardly gave him a smile, and he returned it stiffly. “Uh, nice weather, huh?”
“Yeah!” You answered.
Curses! “Nice weather”??? That’s all he could come up with??? The only time he gets to talk to you outside of the usual short conversation while you ordered and he had to mess it up??? A disgrace! He’s The Gojo Satoru! How could he have been so-!!
It was then Gojo slightly slipped up and spilled some of the milk from the pitcher. “Shit,” he cursed.
He shouldn’t have looked up. But he did, and he made direct eye contact with you. GOD! STUPID! How did he mess it up this badly! Gojo wanted to curl into a ball and hide under the stupid cabinets right now.
“I usually don’t fuck up this badly-”
“Oh!!! Um! It’s ok! Take your time,” you tried and offered him your best smile.
Huh? HUH???? Did he seriously, seriously accidentally say that out loud? In front of you??? Of all people?????
Gojo cleared his throat as he felt the heat rush up into his cheeks. He has to save this somehow. “I, uh- Erm, is there any particular latte art you like?”
Taken off guard, you shook your head. “Anything’s good really!”
FUCK. What now?? He just kind of made conversation with you, should he continue?? Should he give you some options? A heart? What?! No! That’s too obvious! A swan? A rose? C’mon, Gojo, think! You can do better than those basic fucking starter latte art. Maybe he should drop dead and die, there’s no saving this interaction at this point.
“Maybe?” You quietly piped in. “Those plant looking ones? I think they look nice.”
A tulip? A tulip! Gojo’s got this! This is easy! Tulips are so easy! And he’s the best latte art maker in this whole damn café!
“Sure!” He puffed up his chest and answered as cheerily as he can, trying to hype himself up. If this goes well, maybe, MAYBE, he’d deem himself worth enough to ask for your number.
A tulip, a tulip, a tulip. A very simple and easy design. Yes, Gojo can make it with his eyes closed. He can even make it more complicated and intricate, that’ll surely impress you enough to want to give him your number. Super simple tulips are, he’s been making them since forever.
So why, why, WHY, is his hand shaking so badly. No!! No!!!! He has to do this perfectly! Oh, God, he can feel you looking at him and waiting. You’ve been waiting for a while too, he knows this! But God damn it, Megumi didn’t have to come in at this time to remind him that you’ve been waiting for a while. No! Focus! He can do this! Make good latte art, get pretty girl’s number!
Gojo ignored Itadori calling Megumi over to the back. He breathed in and let his hands worked his magic. This was easy! It’s practically muscle memory at this point! He’s got this!
Make good latte art, get pretty girl’s number!
Gojo must’ve been too excited because he fucking accidentally poured too much of the stupid milk into the damn cup too quickly and royally fucked whatever art he was about to make.
Gojo wanted to scream.
“Oh, um, I can still take that,” you piped in.
Oh, fucking fuck, you were watching him the entire time too. Gojo wanted to cry.
“No, no, I’ll remake it-”
“No! It’s ok! I don’t mind,” you said again. “I really don’t mind.”
You were truly an angel sent from heaven. How are you so forgiving and cute?? He can never show his face again the next time you come in.
“Ah, at least let me draw something on it to make up for it,” Gojo meekly offered.
Too shy to say no, you let and then watched him shuffle a little to the side to reach for the chocolate syrup.
Gojo made quick work of drawing Shiro into the latte you ordered. It wasn’t something too impressive but he knew at least you’d like it considering how much time you spend with Megumi’s dog whenever you came in.
“Enjoy,” he sheepishly muttered to you while he slid the coffee towards you.
Curse that stupid!!! Suguru!!!! For making you, of all people, stand by the counter to watch him work.
He watched as your eyes lit up at the little doodle he made. “Sorry I’m kinda off my game today,” he lamely excused himself. “It’s not the tulip you wanted but I hope it’s enough, I swear I’m a killer with latte art.”
You nodded, still eyeing the little Shiro on your cup, absent-mindedly you said, “It’s ok, maybe next time!”
Gojo perked up at that. The fact that you were still willing to come back!!! Ah, that almost brought tears to his eyes. Next time for sure,” he promised.
Realising what you had just heard you snapped back to look at him. He was smiling gently down at you now and your heart almost burst out of your chest right there. You nodded and offered him another smile before scuttering away to find a seat.
おまけ
“Oh my God, that was so painful to watch,” Geto could hardly contain his laughter.
“Hey!!! Whose fault was it, huh!! I could’ve made the best damn art in my entire career!! And you!!! You fucked me over,” Gojo whisper shouted at Geto while the other staff slowly made their way back to the front.
“You screwed it up yourself,” muttered Megumi. “It was funny to watch though, I’m glad we took the shorter route back today.”
“Yeah, the Gojo Satoru fumbling so badly,” chimed Geto.
Itadori walked over to where Gojo was and offered him the cloth by the sink. “Aw, I think you did your best, senpai! Next time! You’ll make the best damn latter art in your entire career, I’m cheering for you!”
Gojo snatched the cloth from Itadori and glared at his friends before wiping down the mess he made.
so as mentioned, my personal hc is that gojo gets really flustered and shy when he's in front of the person his likes that's why he's like that in the fic uwu
it's just a simple cafe au with your favourite jjk boys
according to @freyzrc the bar becomes a bar after hours so your faves are able to pick and choose what shifts they prefer to work and when
i say your faves but really its up to you (read: me) if i want to see who at when and where lMAO
in my head, if i were to make this into a series it'd be like a dating sim with different routes depending on your fave that you're after
but also, there's no particular order in which events happen because I'm really writing this as a one off HAHAHA
if you're curious though, you can read it as a "best moments compilation" thing, but if you're on the other routes, the events of this route then not something that happened? it's basically kind of like the timeline branches out and there's multiple different universes within this universe
this route is gojo x reader + geto x reader with a hint of satosugu
this was intended to be a gift to the original artist so uwu reader is the way they are because of that
gojo does crush on geto here in this route but his brain actually doesn't process his feelings for geto because he dug himself a very deep friendzone hole. it's very tragic :/
#gojo x reader#gojo satoru x reader#implied geto x reader#implied itafushi#because i say so.#im posting it here because technically this is my writing blog#sorry genshin only fans#if you were expecting my usual content#but if you're a genshin and jjk fan :eyes emoji: hi <3#you can blame tumblr user at f[redacted] for dragging me into jjk#that's why i've been away from jenshin because jjk <33333#getting into jjk is a mistake#idk if i'll continue writing at all but it's nice to pop in once in a while#so consider this my occassionally scheduled questionable content#idk if you can tell i don't write a lot of fluff but adhfs i tried my best#jjk x reader#fluff#if ur reading this fwey ily <3

Nagi initial SSR Story
A Taste of Happiness (Part 1)
Please note that this story has some spoilers on Nagi's background (about his luck) that's related to the L4mps main story!
I've used Momiji as MC's name, Chief is their title.
Any notes with a * are at the end of the post.
Location - Flower Laundry
Momiji: It's a good thing we had our meeting near 'Flower Laundry'. This coffee stain should come off easily.
Momiji: I should check on Yachiyo-kun tomorrow, he apologized so many times he almost made a dent in the ground grovelling.
Momiji: Good morning Nagi-ku-
Nagi: Welcome...
Momiji: Huh!?
Momiji: Wha- you're clearly not ok, how did this happen!?
Nagi: I was just working as usual.
Nagi: But earlier, one of the customers I made a flower arrangement for gave me some sweets as thanks, so I was about to take a break, but all of a sudden a hamster was running towards me.... ah, it's not just any hamster, it's probably Machiko, the one that the kindergarten nearby takes care of.
Nagi: Anyways, I tried my best to get out of Machiko's way, but then I noticed the trampoline that Akuta's group had left here...
Nagi: I ended up landing on it and bounced back all the way up through the ceiling for a homerun.
Momiji: I think I got the gist... I'll get you down now!
Nagi: Phew... you saved me, I owe you my life.
Sonia: You also saved our ceiling! Thank you very mush~
Momiji: Don't mention it, I got the coffee stain off cleanly thanks to you.
Nagi: I'm glad if I was able to help you in any way.
Nagi: I'm sorry that I can't keep you company any longer though, Chief.
Nagi: The deliveries and other work I was supposed to get done got delayed, so I should head out soon...
Momiji: If you don't mind, I could help you out? I drove the company van here.
Momiji: I'm all done with my work today, it should be ok as long as I just shoot Kafka a message.
Nagi: Are you sure?
Nagi: Ah, but there's been a warning for a weather bomb since morning. You might get dragged into a lot of trouble because of my unlucky predisposition*
Momiji: Haha, that's not a problem at all! In fact, it'll probably give me a lot of practice for future troubleshooting. Bring it on!
Nagi: ...Thank you. Then, I'll take you up on your kind offer.
Nagi: Can I ask you to help with the deliveries first-
A scary person: Hey you!! Pay back your debt already!!
Nagi: I'm terribly sorry, I'll pay back the interest first, how much is it?
Momiji: Wait! Don't take out your wallet!!
----------------------
Momiji: ...The delivery ended safely. But Nagi-kun's trouble encounter rate really is impressive.
Momiji: First it was the loan shark who came to collect a debt at the wrong place-
Momoji: Everything's loaded. Where do we have to take them?
Nagi: The shopping mall is up first.
Nagi: There's several new stores opening soon, so they requested the deliveries. We can split up the load once we get there.
------------------
Construction worker: Sorry, there's construction underway here, please take a detour.
Momiji: We literally just passed through here earlier though!?
-----------------
Momiji: Then we'd been forced to take a detour because of sudden construction work, and after that...
Momiji: A random elementary school student challenged us to a race, pizza crusts came flying at us out of nowhere, I barely had time to catch my breath with everything going on.
Momiji: It must be really difficult if he has to go through this every time a weather bomb happens....
Nagi: ..............
Nagi: .....Chief, we should go stock up on flowers next.
Nagi: The weather app shows that the atmospheric pressure has stabilized now, so nothing bad should happen like before, it should be smooth sailing from here. Let's go on my bike.
Nagi: Here's a helmet, wear it tight.
Sonia: Nagi-shan, Chief-shan, pleash be careful.
Sonia: I've packed the usual tools in your bag, pleash take it with you!
Nagi: Thank you, Sonia... We'll be back.
*Nagi has a predisposition that makes him attract misfortune whenever he's feels happy.
Nagi uses the weather app to track sudden changes in atmospheric pressure/weather bombs because that's his way of knowing he's going through a "luck rebound"

GYARU!! (Various!Tokyo Revengers X Gyaru!Reader) Pt. 2
Hoshino (Y/N) is a laidback, yet well-mannered girl who has little to no aspirations in life besides shopping, the newest trends, and having fun. Because of how she expresses herself she is what many people call a Gyaru.
Previous Chapter
Next Chapter
First Person POV -
The first half of classes ended as the bell chimed.
It was now lunch break, and I was rushing to place my supplies away like many of the other students. Once I put everything away, I took out my bento and wallet before rushing to the first-floor vending machine. As I surveyed the machine for a drink I spotted (F/D) and paid.
After inserting the coins into the machine I selected my drink and placed my wallet back into my pocket. As I waited for the drink to fall into the slot my phone chimed. I flipped it open to find a message from Nozomi.

As I typed my response, I bent down to collect my drink before walking off.

However, as I was about to send my message to Nozomi, I bumped into someone, which only sent my phone flying. I immediately apologized before bending down to pick up my phone. As I rose I noticed the someone I bumped into was none other than Tachibana Hinata.
Earlier in the year, rumors were circulating about her having a crush on some guy in my class, I think his name was Hanagaki.
Tachibana anxiously apologized to me as our eyes met "I'm sorry for bumping into you Hoshino-san." She could be timid at times but spoke up when needed. I shared a class with her last year but we were no more than acquaintances. I quickly brushed off her apology "No worries, Tachibana - Chan, I was distracted so it's my fault. Are you on the way to eat with Hanagaki?"
The girl's face began to turn red as she denied my question, "N-No I wasn't-t planning to eat with Takemichi-kun, I was j-just on my way to get a d-drink!!" I laughed as the girl stuttered, it must be nice to have a boyfriend, "Well, enjoy your lunch, it was nice seeing you again!" I said as I walked off in the direction of the stairs leaving the flustered girl behind.
After climbing the steps I pushed open the door leading to the roof. Near the railing sat Nozomi, Akane, and Chitose. Who were enjoying their lunches and chatting away. As I approached them Nozomi exclaimed, "What took you so long? Did you get dress-coded on the way here??"
I laughed as I set my things down, "I ran into Tachibana-chan and got distracted." Chitose perked up, "That girl from class 1 that's dating a delinquent?" This information was new to me, "I didn't know Hanagaki was a delinquent.."
Nozomi briefly stopped eating to chime in, "Yeah, I think I've seen him hang around a gang of weirdos dressed just like him too."
Akane interjected, "They're always wearing those lame pants twice their size." We all laughed and continued eating our lunches.
"Speaking of delinquents, let's continue speaking about your boyfriend, Nozomi." Chitose prompted. We directed our gaze to the said girl as she finished her lunch. "Oh yeah, Kiyomasa is in a gang and I'm positive you guys have seen him with me?" She stated before taking a sip out of her water bottle. The rest of us looked at each other in confusion. Nozomi had never introduced us to Kiyomasa, or any dude she messed around with. "Remember two weeks ago when that new cafe opened, and we all planned to visit, but I bailed last minute?" Nozomi stated nonchalantly.
Two weeks ago, before class, we planned to visit a cafe that had just opened nearby. Once school ended, Nozomi got held behind, so we were forced to wait for her. Then when she finally arrived, she stated that she had a date to go on instead of hanging out with us. We were all a little upset since it was last minute but the three of us still went nonetheless.
We nodded our heads encouraging the girl to continue. "That dude I rushed over to afterward was Kiyomasa."
As I recalled the events in my head a brief image of Kiyomasa appeared. Kiyomasa was tall and fit the description of a typical delinquent. However, one thing that I remember distinctly was the scar on his left eyebrow.
"I think the gang is called "Tokyo Manji" or something, I heard they're well known around Shibuya." She continued arrogantly.
Akane then spoke up, "I think I've heard of em', I once heard a story of them beating up a gang of high schoolers." This caused my jaw to drop, "which year are they?" I asked. "Same as us," Chitose stated as she took out her phone.
'Middle schoolers beating up high schoolers? That's impossible.' Most of the high schoolers I encountered were twice my size and arrogant. "Well make sure to stay safe," I stated anxiously as I finished my meal and drink.
The conversation didn't continue from there, as another topic began. Although it didn't last long before the bell rang, signifying the start of afternoon classes.
We gathered our Bentos and trash before separating again and heading to our classrooms.
As school neared its end, the teacher began to give a summary of the lesson before asking "Any questions?" To which they received no response, allowing us to be released for the day just as the final bell chimed. After placing all my supplies away I headed to my shoe locker to gather my outside shoes. After placing on my shoes, my phone chimed again but it was a text from my mom.

When you're on the way home pick up anything you want to eat for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. I have to visit your grandma in Chiba and won't be home for the day.

OK! See you when I get home
[ SEND → ] __________________________
After texting back I headed the opposite way home to the nearest convenience store. As I walked I placed in my earbuds and continued my playlist from earlier. I then got a text from Nozomi, Chitose, and Akane, talking about random things and homework. After school, we continued talking through text since Akane had music club activities, and Chitose had student council activities. Although Nozomi wasn't in a club she tended to get a ride home or had a date to go on.
Resulting in me going home alone. Joining a club never seemed that interesting to me, and going home late added to the list of cons.
I took my time walking to the convenience store since I wasn't in a rush.
I even stopped to get a crepe at a stand nearby. After paying, the stand owner told me to be careful and warned me about some delinquents meeting nearby. I gave them a brief thank you before finding a bench to enjoy my crepe. By the time I finished the dessert, it was 4:00 pm.I need to start heading home.
I stretched as I rose from the bench and brushed off my skirt.
I then gathered any trash before throwing it out in a nearby bin. My journey was far from over but it wouldn't be long before I made it to the convenience store.
As I walked, I passed the park stadium which was inhabited by a couple of delinquents who seemed to be leaving. I tried my best to ignore their conversation and mind my business but something caught my attention.
"You guys belong to the Tokyo Manji Gang, right? I'd like to meet one of the leaders"
'Tokyo Manji? Tokyo Manji is the gang Kiyomasa's in, maybe he's here?' I halted and decided to hide behind a nearby tree to continue listening to the conversation. With this new angle, I could see everything that was going on. There were 7 people total, but the one talking didn't seem as associated with the other 6. He had short blond hair and was covered in dirt and numerous bruises.
Meanwhile, the other 6 didn't even have a wrinkle in their uniforms. Most were smoking cigarettes, and one of them even had a mask pulled down to his chin. 'It's hard to distinguish them from each other they all look the same.'
"Either Sano or Kisaki...I was wondering if that'd be possible somehow. Oh, if not, I understand." The blond continued sheepishly as he rubbed his head.
Something in the air changed as he finished his sentence and it wasn't long before the delinquent closest to the top of the staircase abruptly stopped. He then took his cigarette out before crushing it between his fingers, it wasn't until he turned around that I could get a look at his face, it was none other than Kiyomasa.
"Bring me my bat", Kiyomasa commanded.
As soon as those words left Kiyomasa's mouth the others around him rushed to follow his order. It wasn't long before Kiyomasa began beating the blond with the bat and all I could do was stand and watch. I couldn't bring myself to move, I was frozen in fear, and I couldn't even tear my eyes away from the scene. Kiyomasa continued his relentless beating even as the blond mumbled out apologies.
I thought it would never end but the delinquents surrounding the pair began to get antsy. "H-Hey...Maybe we should stop him soon." Another chimed "Uh, yeah..." Then a third, "Kiyomasa! Dude, stop! You're gonna kill him!"
But their words didn't stop the boy instead they urged him to continue. It wasn't until one of them grabbed Kiyomasa by his shoulder that the torture ended. Kiyomasa dropped his bat before calling out to the boy beneath him but he received no response. The blond splayed out beneath him fighting to stay conscious.
His uniform was even more scuffed, and it was now covered in blood in addition to the dirt. His face was covered in scrapes and bruises and blood trickled from his head and nose.
"Wake your ass up, Hanagaki.", Kiyomasa demanded as he flipped the boy over on his back before stepping on him.
'So that's Hanagaki, Tachibana-chan's boyfriend. Does she know about this? Where is she, is she safe?'
My mind was running wild with thoughts, but all I could do was stand and listen. Hanagaki began to rise, bringing himself up to a seated position in front of Kiyomasa. The scarred delinquent then crouched down bringing himself to eye-level with Hanagaki.
"The next time Sano-kun's name comes outta your mouth. You get it, don't you? I'll kill you."
After finishing his threat Kiyomasa and the rest of his crew began to leave the stadium. Leaving behind the battered and bruised Hanagaki panting and crying.
Once Kiyomasa's crew was out of sight, the boy attempted to run off but tripped. His left leg was sprained, I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken. But before he could try again I quickly left my hiding spot and called out, "Stop! Don't move!" The boy's eyes widened as I approached him from the top of the steps.
He tried to gather himself and brush off his tears but failed. "Ah, sorry I was just leaving, sorry if I'm causing any trouble."
'Is he really trying to play it off?' I quickly shook my head before stating, "No need to act tough. I saw everything. I'm sorry I'm only now stepping in." Hanagaki was shocked but it wasn't long before a defeated expression fell on his face. "Oh...well don't worry about me I'm fine! Really!"
"As if," I stated before kneeling in front of him. I began digging through my bag for anything to help the boy and It wasn't long before I found my blue handkerchief, "Here use this to wipe your face."
He reluctantly accepted the cloth before wiping his face. That was the only thing I could offer besides my school supplies, which wouldn't be much help.
Then it struck me, 'The convenience store, I was on my way anyway I might as well get some bandaids or something for him.' I quickly rose to my feet before gathering my bag. "Stay here. I'll be back, don't move."
I began running in the direction of the convenience store and eventually made it to my destination. As I entered the store, I made a beeline for the first aid.
I picked up bandaids and antiseptic wipes before picking up some breakfast and lunch for tomorrow. I also picked up a melon pan for Hanagaki and some drinks.
Once I was certain I had gathered everything needed I made my way to the register. As the clerk scanned my items I took out my wallet ready to pay for everything. "That'll bring your total to ¥1,878."
I paid and they quickly bagged my items before giving me my change and bidding me "Goodnight". Swiftly grabbing the bag I made my way back to the park.
I was relieved to find Hanagaki patiently waiting and his face wasn't as bloody thanks to the handkerchief. "I'm back, thanks for waiting." I said before taking a seat next to the blond, taking out the items I bought for him.
As soon as he realized what I'd done for him, he became bashful, "Ah! You didn't have to buy all that for me..."
I shook my head, and took out one of the antiseptic wipes, "Don't worry about it. It's the least I could do. Could you turn towards me?"
Quickly following my instructions he turned his face towards me before suddenly turning away. "What's wrong?"
The boy quickly responded, "Nothing!" as his face turned red.
"Well I can't treat you if I can't see your face," I stated as I rolled my eyes. He then turned towards me again with his eyes screwed shut. Ignoring it I began patching him up and disinfecting his wounds. 'I don't understand what the big deal is.'
"There, I'm done," I stated as I placed the last bandaid on his cheek. As the boy opened his eyes I put the leftover first aid back in my bag.
He brought a hand to his face before thanking me. I brushed it off saying that it wasn't a big deal before taking a water and melon pan. "Here."
Hanagaki was shocked, and once again tried to refuse the items, but I wasn't going to take no for an answer.
"Like I said it's no big deal. You don't have to pay me back." I said as I shoved the items into his hands. It's almost 6 pm I have to head home before mom starts worrying. I then got up and began gathering my stuff as Hanagaki continued to ramble.
And just as I was about to walk off Hanagaki shouted out. "Wait! Where are you going?"
"I gotta get home, it's late. Don't get into any more trouble alright?"
"But wait! You didn't tell me your name!"
"Oh, you're right, my name's Hoshino Y/N," I said flashing him a peace sign.
"Hanagaki Takemichi, nice to meet you."
"Well, it was nice meetcha you too, see ya tomorrow. Bye bye! I said before finally running off, leaving behind a confused Hanagaki.
"Tomorrow?" The blond wondered as he opened the snacks.
☆ Out of everyone in the group (Y/N, Nozomi, Akane, Chitose) Y/N is the only one who hasn't had a significant other.

SR Ruggie Bucchi Lab Coat Personal Story: Part 2
"I went through a ton!"
(Part 1) Part 2
[Heartslabyul Dorm – Rose Maze]
Ruggie: Eh… What's going on. I know ya said you had somewhere ya wanted to swing by, but…
Trey: As you can see, all of Heartslabyul are painting the white roses red.
Trey: The paint I bought at the Mystery Shop a bit ago is for the first years who still haven't gotten the hang of color-changing magic.
Ruggie: I get it. So the reason why all the detergent was sold out was to wash all the clothes that got paint on 'em.
Trey: That's right. You're pretty perceptive.
Ruggie: Thanks… So, why're you shoving paint into my arms with that grin plastered on your face like that?
Trey: If you want the detergent, you can help us paint the roses too. Oh, but you're a second year, so maybe you've already mastered color-changing magic?
Ruggie: Wait, wait, wait, you said you'd give me the detergent. You didn't say nothin' 'bout a trade.
Trey: Well, you didn't ask, did you?
Ruggie: Don't try to play me, lookin' all cool like that!
Ruggie: Dammit~ So this was your plan all along…! I don't wanna help with somethin' as pointless as this!
Trey: I see. Then, sorry, I can't give you any detergent.
Ruggie: Ehhh~~~!?
Trey: I don't really care either, way, so… What will you do?
Ruggie: Tch. I don't wanna come all this way and go back empty-handed. Fine, I'll do it, 'kay?
Ruggie: I just gotta turn all the white roses red with magic, yeah?
Trey: Yeah. Not pink, not green, not aquamarine, but red, please.
Ruggie: Is that supposed to be from somethin'? Stop blabberin' and let's just get this over with!
Ruggie: Everything should be painted red now, right? Whew, it's finally over…
Trey: Good work. Thanks for helping out.
Ruggie: Only cause I was forced, yeah? Hurry and give me the detergent already.
Trey: Okay, okay. I'll go get it.
[Savanaclaw Dorm]
Ruggie: Woowee~ The sun's so nice~
Ruggie: Today's the best kinda weather for laundry. If I hadn't run out of detergent, I woulda done my lab coat, too.
Ruggie: 'Kay, gotta hang 'em up to dry. First up… Here's Leona-san's PE uniform.
Ruggie: Man, it's so huge~ Guess when you're raised on different food, ya grow bigger, huh?
Ruggie: Jack-kun eats a ton, too…
Ruggie: I wish I could grow a bit taller too, but I bet the bigger I grow, the more I'd hafta spend on food~
Leona: Huh, you're still doing laundry?
Ruggie: Gyaa!? Y-You surprised me~! Can ya not just show up outta nowhere?!
Ruggie: What're ya doin' here, anyway? What 'bout your afternoon nap?
Leona: It's nice out, so I'm gonna sleep here.
Ruggie: If the weather's so nice that even the lazy Leona-san decided to come outside, then I'm sure the laundry'll dry fast enough.
Ruggie: 'N I bet these clothes'll feel super nice once they're cleaned. 'Specially 'cause I went through a ton to get today's laundry one!
Leona: Uh-huh. Yaaawn~~
Ruggie: Ah, wait! One thing before you sleep!
Ruggie: We're out of detergent. I'll go buy some later, so please give me some money.
Leona: Hah…? Detergent…?
Ruggie: Yeah, detergent. Can't do laundry for free, y'know.
Leona: Sigh, fine… Here's my wallet.
Ruggie: Ack, don't just toss it at me all a sudden!
Leona: There's some money in there, so just take whatever. You can keep the change.
Ruggie: Okaaay… Hey, wait, there' just large bills in here. You sure I can keep the change?
Leona: Ugh, you're so picky… Don't make me repeat myself.
Leona: Anyway, I'm going to sleep. Yaaaawn…
Leona: Zzz… Zzz…
Ruggie: Ehhh~ Maybe I'm too picky, but aren't you a little too lax?
Ruggie: Maybe he hasn't realized that the change I'd get back is way more than the cost of the detergent?
Ruggie: How nice it must be to not know the cost of things.
Ruggie: …Well, he said I could have it, so whatever. I'll gladly take it.

FINE LINE
Kanji Mochizuki CHAPTERS
Mature Themes
"What are you doing today?" Kanji asked me as he sat down on my bed. I roll my eyes mentally as I put my hair into a ponytail.
None of your motherfucking business, I wanted to say. But I'm trying to be a better person.
"Get your fucking dirty ass out of my goddamn room." Well, I didn't mean to say that. I looked back and he had a very well startled face. He didn't look offended he just looked surprised. I started laughing and his face softened.
"I'm just joking. I'm so sorry." I apologize as I finish tying my hair. I adjust the ribbon before walking towards my full body mirror twirling around liking how pretty I look.
"You look pretty." He says and I'm not gonna lie. It surprised me.
"Arigatou, Kanji-kun."
"So, where are you going?" From the mirror, I see him standing up from the bed and walking towards me. I look back at him and see him smiling.
What the fuck?
"Do you wanna go out together?" He asks.
"Fuck no."
"Eh?" His smile faded. I chuckled before walking toward my night stand, I took my phone and wallet checking to make sure I have enough money.
"I'm going out with my Senpai. She's picking me up."
"What time are you coming back? Maybe we could dine somewhere? Peninsula Hotel-"
"I'm sure you'd find someone who can accompany you. How about Kazuko? She's your second favorite wasn't she?" He knew that I was aware of Rina's existence but he didn't know the extend of my knowledge about his affairs.
Rina, Kazuko, and finally Meika. His favorites.
"I'll dine with you someday. I'll even cook for us since I'm on a diet."
"Diet? Your body is thin enough."
Well, an eating disorder doesn't think so.
"I'm getting late. I'll see you when I see you." I bid my farewell before hurrying out of our shared penthouse. After the incident he's been trying to repent for every bullshit he has done.
Cheating, neglect, for trying to kill me, and lastly for choosing his mistress over me when he needed to save one of us.
I shake my head trying to clear my thoughts as I enter the elevator. There's no use to overthink.
Life is unfunny when you become serious.
"What's up?" My senpai Jess greets me. I tell her I'm fine before entering her car.
We met through my part time job and bonded over our broken family. She doesn't know I'm affiliated with Kanji and I'd like to keep it that way.
"How are you doing? And, also it's a little late but happy birthday!" I almost teared up. I forgot about my own birthday.
"Thank you!" I say before leaning to hug her.
We went around Tokyo. Since we're broke we mostly window shopped and we didn't dare to go inside any luxury brands. Around 1pm we got hungry and decided to settle and eat Indian Curry.
I felt uneasy and eyes watching over us. I didn't want to scare Jess so I said nothing. She was supposed to drop me off by my own apartment but I can't afford to let Kanji know where I live out of our shared penthouse. At least, for a little bit longer.
We said goodbye and I intentionally used one of the dangerous roads. I knew he'd be furious because not even a minute after walking in one of the tunnels his scent hit me and not long after I was pinned against the wall. His hands pushed my shoulders against the concrete walls of the tunnel.
The way my spine was pushed against them hurts but it's better than trying to do sit-ups.
He was breathing heavily as he looked down upon me. I didn't dare look up for a few moments but knew I had to because if I didn't he won't speak and we won't go anywhere other than to stand here like idiots.
"Are you stupid? Walking dress like that? In a tunnel like this? At this fucking time." He yells and I almost chuckle. I debated whether to plaster a startled oh gosh! I didn't expect you'd be here! Type of face.
"Almost no one uses this road! What-"
"Don't be angry. Being angry is tiring." I tell him and placed my hands on his chest trying to push him away.
"How can't I? You decline my offer, you don't tell your friend you have a husband, and you walk around Tokyo like you don't have people trying to harm you."
I would've already been in my house showering if he hadn't followed me and Jess. I noticed him when we were goofing around inside an accessory store. We were taking photos in the mirror. And he photobombs us from across the store.
"I wanna go home. I'm tired." He sighed before letting me go. I didn't argue when he said he'd take us home.
"楽しかった?Did you have fun?" He asked me after I put my seatbelt on. I simply nodded and leaned back.
"よかった. That's good." He smiled at me before he started driving.
"普通の会話ってこれ?Is normal conversation this?" I asked him out of nowhere.
”急に何?What out of sudden? 普通の会話じゃない会話って何?What's a not normal conversation?" He threw the question back at me amusement written all over his dumbass face.
I don't think he understands my question.
What I meant to ask is, is this the type of normal convo married people have? Asking questions like "Did you have fun?" After you go out with your friends?
"何でもない。It's nothing."
"まだ時間早いからどっか行く?It's still early, do you wanna go somewhere?" He asked me but he was already taking a turn away from our penthouse.
"Can you please drive us around Tokyo Rainbow Bridge?" He probably didn't expect my request.
"I don't mind." He was more than happy.
"You're from Kawasaki right?" I asked him and he nods. These is the questions you ask on the first or second date not years after your marriage.
"There are few places that I like. Legoland, Universal Studio Japan, the Rainbow Bridge, ummm the shopping outlet at Gotemba, beaches, and Chinatown. How about you?"
"I like my first ever gang's hideout." I try to show interest by reacting like the hostesses from the clubs he goes to.
"みさきがさぁお気に入りな場所二人で行きたい。Your favorite places, I want us two to go there together." He tells me as his left hand lands on my knee. I jump and tried to hid my discomfort by looking out of the window.
We enter the highway and he starts to rub his hand in a circular motion.
"時間あったら行こうね。When there's time let's go." When girls say that in Japan it means they don't like you.
His hand moved up to my thigh. No. This is not happening. I took his hand and held it tightly between my hands. He didn't look at me and kept his eyes on the road but I knew he noticed my actions.
I'm stuck between not wanting to offend him but I'll choose my comfortability over his ego.
"ごめん、寒かったから。Sorry, I was cold." It's fucking summer.
"言い訳がヘボ。Your excuses are lame." I called him out and he burst out laughing.
"It's not that lame."
"It is! Your hands are cold? Think of a better one."
"Is it bad if I admit I want to touch you?" My cheek heats up. I know I shouldn't be feeling like this. Not with him or any other men in our world. But it's unlike him to say something and sounds like he really meant it.
"Shut up." I let go of his hand and he placed it right back on my knee.
"いい景色。What a nice view." I say complimenting the lights of the big buildings seen from the Rainbow Bridge.
"俺?ありがとう。Me? Thank you."
”お前じゃないよ. Not you."
We laughed together and I wondered how much till I faced heart ache again. I give it a good 2 days.

[Gakuen K] Yatogami Kuroh Route Translation
The treasure’s true identity
LIST OF CHAPTERS
[Translation under the cut]
Saya: (I couldn't find any treasure at all…)
Saya: (Meanwhile, I have something I can give away, but it's definitely not it…)
Saya: (It's time to go back to the clubroom. I wonder, if Shiro-kun is still there…)
Shiro: Hey, welcome back. You're quite late.
Saya: Shiro-kun, you are still here.
Shiro: Uhm. I said I'd be waiting for you.
Kuroh: It seems like it took you a while. Did you get any results?
Saya: That is…
Neko: Gohan got nothing too? You couldn't find it?
Saya: So, Neko-chan too?
Neko: Uhm. Wagahai also gave up.
Kuroh: …Reluctantly, so did I.
Shiro: Kuro's so funny. I don't know where he got it from, but he brought a big Daruma doll.
Saya: Daruma doll?
Kuroh: I already returned it. …I borrowed a personal belonging of Ichigen-sama.
Shiro: I knew it was a personal belonging, why'd you pick that one?
Kuroh: To commemorate her joining the club, you said.
Kuroh: When I looked for something auspicious, I found Daruma doll.
Shiro: Kuro…you really are funny.
Neko: Kurosuke is funny~ !
Kuroh: Agh…N-Neko isn't any better! You've brought something meaningless!
Neko: Kyaaaah! It's not meaningless!
Saya: Is this a… furikake (rice seasoning)?
Neko: That's right! Shiro said this rice seasoning is delicious! Right, Shiro?
Shiro: Ahhh. Did I say something like this? That doesn't mean it's the right answer though.
Neko: But you said it! Rice seasoning is more correct than Daruma doll! Wagahai is better than Kurosuke!
Kuroh: Ugh…Oh, right, you're…
Saya: Eh? Me?
Kuroh: What did you brought?
Saya: I…
Kuroh: You didn't bring anything?
Saya: Not really, but I don't think that's the right thing.
Shiro: Haha, don't be so tense. I won't get angry or blame you.
Saya: …I got it. This is what I choose.
Shiro: Is this a discount coupon?
Saya: Uhm. If you show it at the school store, you'll get a discount on bread.
Shiro: …I think I can count that as a treasure.
Kuroh: I can't ignore what you say. You haven't decided yet, have you?
Shiro: It's not true, but the discount coupon is very tempting.
Kuroh: Shiro…
Shiro: I mean, that's a 1 free discount, right? Buy 10 get 1 free, right?
Kuroh: …
Shiro: I'm just kidding. So don't stare at me, okay?
Neko: Shiro, is Gohan's coupon also not the right answer? What is a treasure? Tell me, Shiro!~
Shiro: The treasure is…my friends here!
Saya: Eh.
Kuroh: …
Shiro: …Emm. What's with the lack of response?
Kuroh: I'm gonna slice you up right now.
Shiro: Eeeh. That's a scene that should have made you cry with emotion!
Kuroh: Who's supposed to cry? It was all for nothing…(Loss of breaking a bone and profit of getting tired… (An idiom which means "To end up being tired and exhausted without any benefit from the hard work you have done")
Shiro: Wah, that's a terrible impression. Did it make you feel exhausted, too?
Saya: Un-uh, it's not.
Saya: What did you mean when said, "Nothing is gonna happen if you stay here"?
Shiro: That? That doesn't have any meaning.
Saya: …
Kuroh: Should I still chop him up?
Shiro: That's a lie, sorry! It makes a little sense!
Shiro: Let's see, here. The treasure is my friends, and if my friends are gone, it's pointless to stay in the clubroom…
Saya: So that's what it meant.
Shiro: …Do you still want to slice and chop me up?
Saya: U-Un-uh. Of course not!
Saya: I just thought Shiro-kun is a little strange guy.
Kuroh: It's not "a little". He's totally strange.
Shiro: I don't want Kuro to tell me that. …Oh, hey. Neko?
Saya: She's not here…I wonder where she went.
Neko: Wagahai is back!
Saya: So much bread…! What's this all about?
Neko: I bought it with Gohan's discount coupon!
Shiro: Bought you say…Hah, my wallet is gone!
Neko: Shiro said, friends are treasure! Wagahai bought bread for her friends!
Neko: Bread party begins! Tuna Mayo Bread is for Wagahai!
Kuroh: Started eating without permission…but yes. Let's start the welcome party, shall we?
Shiro: It's not very tasty to eat only bread, though.
Shiro: Konohana-san, we are like this, but we are looking forward to working with you from now on.
Saya: Uhm, my pleasure!
Kuroh: It's not easy to babysit Shiro and others. I'm counting on you to help with that.
Saya: Baby sitting…fufu. Uhm, I'll look after them from now on.
Shiro: Wah-ah, that's mean to call it babysitting. I've been a student longer than Kuro.
Saya: What do you mean "longer"?
Shiro: Eh? That's…Ahaha, it's a secret. Come on, let's eat too. Before Neko eats everything!

"Itadori-kun. Good. You're on time."
Kento checked his watch, clearly distracted, as Yuuji approached with pocketed hands. The shopping centre was bustling, a hive of activity around them. Yuuji ruffled his own hair, unsure.
"Yeah, I just...wasn't sure why we're meeting here, is all."
Still distracted, Kento tapped off a message, before slipping his phone back into his inner pocket. He rarely offered smiles when there was business yet to be done, and today was no different.
"I was hoping for your assistance with a few errands before your school term ends. I'm sure you'll be busy with your friends after then, and I shouldn't like to take your vacation time. I'm sure you're looking forward to the break."
In truth, Yuuji deflated just at the thought of it; though he was an orphan amongst orphans, he didn't favour empty time in the way he used to, with memory and the devil as his constant companions. Still he smiled.
"Yeah! Can't wait. Got...got loads planned."
Kento read Yuuji, shrewd for a moment, before hyper-focusing on the task at hand.
"Quite. Come along, Yuuji."
Yuuji grew more and more flummoxed as Kento's list of errands tickered out before them. Too polite to question why, and with absolute faith that Kento had good reason to drag him along for the ride, Yuuji stomached it all with confused good grace.
Yuuji blinked, momentarily blinded by the flash of light in the photo booth. He grinned for the next photo, and Kento's cool deep voice rumbled past the curtain.
"No smiling, Yuuji."
"H-huh? How did you know?"
"Was I wrong?"
"Uh...sorry, Nanamin."
As a strip of tiny poe-faced photos clicked into the dispenser, Yuuji couldn't understand why Nanamin was so satisfied by such bland pictures. Yuuji was, however, touched; clearly Nanamin liked wallet photos as he liked his suits-- beige. Kento clipped across Yuuji's thoughts.
"Do you like the beach, Yuuji?"
Yuuji blinked. "The beach...?"
"Yes. The beach. Do you like it?"
"Uh...I guess. Why?"
Kento hummed, satisfied, not answering Yuuji's question. Instead, as he passed Yuuji his coffee, he stood and leaned around Yuuji, gently pulling at the back of Yuuji's collar. Yuuji twisted to look, baffled now, and Kento released him, sitting with another satisfied hum. He tapped on his phone again.
"Your identification documents are in your room at Jujutsu High?"
"Nanamin...what's this about?"
"It's important to take care of your documents, Yuuji."
"...so you're just...checking up on me?"
Kento smiled, polite. "Of course." A pause. "I assume you'd like to come back to ours for dinner?"
Yuuji brimmed with unasked questions. "I don't need to-- I'm not really that hungry-- honestly a coffee is great--"
"Mrs.Nanami has cooked extra."
"God, yes, please, I'm starving."
+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+
The summer vacation approached Yuuji like a black cloud. He could not bring himself to be excited for enforced inactivity; his casual offers to assist staff on missions fell on deaf ears. Gojo laughed Yuuji off with a clap on the shoulder. Yuuji smiled away the gentle rejection; he did not have the stomach to beg to work.
Instead, Yuuji stewed, leaning on his rainy windowsill until cicada buzz replaced the pitter-patter of water on earth. Late July arrived, unwelcome, and Yuuji steeped in a pit of dread.
At 2am, on the first day of summer vacation, Yuuji's phone rang. Bleary-eyed, and flat, he looked away from his computer screen and lowered his headset. He looked at his screen with a lurching gut; he answered the phone.
"Nanamin?"
A voice, rusty with sleeplessness. "Ah, Yuuji. I apologise for waking you at this hour. I need help with a mission. Are you available?"
Yuuji perked up immediately, tail wagging. "Y-yeah! Yeah, totally! I can be ready...er...in ten? Yeah?"
Kento's voice smiled. "Good. I'll pick you up."
Yuuji danced from his desk chair, shaking off his joggers and wriggling into his uniform with a grin, ruffling his hair before the mirror. In barely two minutes, he was ready, a spring in his step as he headed to wait outside. He felt so light, so relieved, and he grabbed his keys, opening his door to--
"Oh, shi--...Nanamin?"
Kento stood at the door, comfortable in loose clothes, and...sandals? It was an odd contrast to the backdrop of night, and Kento's usual attire. Kento smiled again, polite.
"Yes. Are you ready?"
"Y-yeah, I'm...how did you get here so fast?"
"The roads are quiet at this time of night, Yuuji."
A pause. "...Nanamin."
"Yuuji."
"Are you fucking with me?"
"Language."
When Yuuji opened his mouth to argue back, his jaw dropped, as you bustled up the corridor behind Kento with a sleepy grin on your face. You slapped Kento's elbow, shooting him a chastising look.
"Morning, Yuuji! Excited?" You pressed a kiss to his cheek, whirling past to invade his bedroom. Yuuji was speechless, horribly confused.
Kento checked his watch as you bustled around. Tapped his foot as you bustled around. Tutted, and leaned pointedly round the corner to stare at you as you bustled around.
"Darling, we're going to be la--"
"--don't give me attitude, Kento, we are about 6 hours early, and you know it--"
"--it pays off to check-in ahead of schedule--"
"--hush. I'll have words with you later."
Kento bristled, pugnacious. You walked out of Yuuji's room with his rucksack in hand. You pinched his chin, gesturing him along with your hand.
"Come on, Yuuji. Before Mr.Organised has conniptions."
Yuuji felt himself swept along by Kento, who still scoffed, mulish. The night air smelled sweet, and Yuuji found himself gently bodied into the back seat of Kento's car.
"--Nanamin-- I don't understand--"
You shot Kento a pointed look from the passenger seat. At first frowning, then with dawning realisation, you scolded Kento in disbelief.
"...you haven't told him."
Kento almost smirked as he rolled the car away over gravel. "I don't know what you mean."
You looked from Kento, to Yuuji, and back again. You reached slowly into Kento's bag, rummaging. Yuuji felt a glossy little book pressed into his hands.
"...a...passport?"
"...Kento didn't tell you."
Never one for expecting a gift, Yuuji couldn't see one when placed before his eyes. "Tell me what? Nanamin?"
Kento chuckled to himself, his eyes glimmering at Yuuji in the rearview mirror.
"Our flight is at 10:30, Yuuji."
Yuuji peered into the seat beside him; a new suitcase, neatly labelled with a luggage tag in his name. He yanked it to the seat beside him, unzipping it, and finding it full of new swimsuits, t-shirts, shorts, sandals, everything he could possibly need. He opened the glossy new passport in his hands, and hiccupped, his breath catching in his chest.
Yuuji rammed into realisation with prickling eyes, and a quiet sniffle, his eyes hidden in the dark. His reply was thick, stilted.
"Our flight...to where?"
"Malaysia. Now give me back that passport. You'll only lose it."

DCST X Naruto: Convergence Point
"Back from your mission already, Kikumaru-kun?" The weaponsmith asked cheerily when he walked into the shop.
Ukyo nodded, holding up his considerably flatter weapons pack, "I'm looking to replace some kunai. Ran into more trouble than I had expected on the last one."
The man nodded in understanding, "You've probably begun running A-ranks, haven't you?"
"Nope. Still chunin." Ukyo quickly corrected him, moving over to the display to pick out a blade with a good weight distribution.
The weaponsmith made a dismayed sound, and began wallowing over Ukyo's promising future, but it was nothing Ukyo hadn't heard before. He let it all go over his head.
Then, a kid sauntered up to the counter and slapped ninja wire on it. He was so short he couldn't even see over it, but Ukyo didn't pay any mind. Every so often they let genin this tiny graduate. That's what happened to him, after all.
But the weaponsmith glared at the prospective customer sternly, "Only chunin level and above are allowed this type of weaponry. Identification, please."
The kid froze, and ah, he didn't have any. Ukyo watched with the detached bemusement of a person completely uninvolved in this situation as it continued to unfold in front of him.
But then. Something he wasn't expecting happened. The kid turned on his heel and pinned Ukyo with a wide-eyed beseeching look.
"Nii-san, you said you'd buy me ninja wire, remember?"
What.
Ukyo was almost tempted to turn around and see if he was talking to someone else, but the store was empty spare the three of them. And he didn't hear anyone lingering outside.
"Nii-san, you forgot again." The boy accused.
The weaponsmith looked between them, disconcerted, "You have a brother, Kikumaru-kun?"
Now, Ukyo had two choices. Rat the boy out and go on with his way. Or go along with this and buy the ninja wire for him.
In the end, he chose the path of least resistance. (Kids were mean, okay?)
"Yeah." He agreed, patting the boy's shoulder, attempting to inject as much good-brother vibes as he could, "Sorry about forgetting the ninja wire the. First ten times."
The boy sniffed, "That's why I came myself this time. And I want this one."
Ukyo paid for said bundle of wire, along with his own kunai, and the two walked out side by side.
Surprisingly, the kid didn't immediately run away with his prize once they were out of sight of the weaponsmith. He hesitated beside Ukyo.
"I'll pay you back for this." He promised, pulling out a wallet, "Sorry for putting you on the spot like that."
"It's no issue." Ukyo assured him, gladly accepting the money, "But be careful, alright? Conduction wire is dangerous, especially ones designed for lightning nature. Show off to your friends if you want to, but try not to slice off a finger."
The kid gagged.
"I'm not using it for that. That'd be so boring! You wanna know what I have planned?"
Ukyo wasn't sure he wanted to know. But he also wasn't going to crush a kid's enthusiasm like that. (Yes, he was technically fourteen, but also he had twenty four years of a previous life on top of that.)
"Shoot." He finally said.
The kid hopped slightly mid-stride, "Okay, so lightning nature chakra conduction wire is made out of copper, which is super conductive. And I've heard if you run electricity through a coil of the stuff wrapped around some other metal, you can magnetize it. And you know how magnets push and pull with all that awesome force?? I think I can build a motor out of it, Faraday style!"
Ukyo smiled, trying to sort through all that info. No one taught him much science in this world, so he wasn't sure how far along their advancement was. But the kid was clearly knowledgeable about these things.
Wait a second.
"Faraday?" Ukyo asked, his mouth dry.
That was a name he hadn't heard in this world before. Barely recognized it from his own world either, really. But he knew enough to know that it was a name from Before.
Before the Green Light.
Before he woke up here.
Before all of this.
How much did this kid know?
---
Yes Ukyo's reborn name is meant to be translated as 'Hear Boy'. Puns are my only method of naming things.
