Money, honey - Kokonoi Hajime
Content: imagine
Tropes: Tenjiku! Kokonoi, established relationship, neither Inui siblings exist for sake of convenience (or else there would be immense plot-holes but this is a fanfic so it doesn’t really matter)
Summary: you and Kokonoi having been put in a forced marriage at a young age and being okay with it. Both of you have seen and felt the positive impact you both make not only on your bank accounts but also on each other. yes the relationship you both share is more based on convenience, but he is your husband after all. So when during a Tenjiku meeting he is asked about the single diamond-encrusted ring on his finger, he reveals your existence to them. How convenient is it that you're coming to find him right now, too?
Vixens two cents: hi all! This is something that has been rotting away in my drafts for very, very long time, and since I’m on a streak today (3 posts in a day?!) I’ve decided to give this some daylight too. Let me know what you think of this, and remember that REQUESTS ARE OPEN!!! yes, now enjoy the rich and famous!
"Wait Kokonoi, since when do you wear rings?" Rindou asked during a semi-official meeting where his attendance was only half-required. At that question Kokonoi’s faces into an uncharacteristically warm smile, his eyes softening as he said “I’ve always worn this ring, you must have failed to notice it prior..” his voice drifts off dreamily as he started at the diamond encrusted jewelry. Completely bewildered Rindou started to back away from the Financier, making a straight backwards lunge towards his brother.
“Ran.” Rindou nearly whisper-shouted, his voice cracking unattractively, fierce stare still fixed on the suspicious acting Koko. Slightly annoyed due to being interrupted, Ran sighs and turns to face Rindou “What could you possibly wa-“ “fucking emergency. Kokonoi has lost it. He’s gone. Fucking depleted. Only good for the loony bin.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Ran questioned, excusing himself from the prior conversation before turning back to his brother. “Look, look. Over there. See that? The way he’s staring at that ring, which might I add I have never seen before?!” Rindou points at the male in question, prompting Ran’s eyes to follow the accusatory finger. And lo and behold, Rindou wasn’t lying. Both the expression and the jewelry Kokonoi wore looked awfully foreign, so soft that it made Ran’s skin crawl in disgust. “What the fuck.” Ran mumbled.
Both Haitanis were fixated on Kokonoi, eyes wide as saucers, hectically darting from his hand to his face and back down to the ring… The softness of his face- his normally cold eyes especially- was a spectacle incomparable to anything that they had ever seen. The brothers share a look, both of their mouths hanging open. „We have to clear this shit up.“ Rindou states and Ran nods in silent response, grabbing his brothers arm, tugging the both of them closer to Kokonoi.
„Hey Koko.“ Ran states, voice coming out slightly more strained than he would have liked. „What’s- whats good?“ Kokonoi didn’t spare them a glance when they approached, keeping his eyes transfixed on the ring on his finger. In desperation, the borthers‘s eyes meet once again, clearly helpless in this situation as they tried to figure out what the hell was going on.
„What do you need from me now, hmm?“ Kokonoi‘s voice was still sickly sweet as he spoke, clearly influenced by the glittering gems in the ring. „Well..“ Ran starts again, a little unsure how to phrase the question lingering on his mind. „So that ring…“ Rindou tries this time. „What about it?“ Kokonoi quips.
It takes everything for Ran to choke out the question, and he thinks this might be the most uncomfortable situation he's ever been in.„Does it have any greater significance?“
The Haitani‘s pathetic try at interviewing the financier were interrupted by a smooth, honeylike voice„Haji?“. Crips and clean it cut through the air, ringing uncharacteristically high in comparison to the low huffs and grunts the Tenjiku hideout normally hears from it's members. The brothers barely have time to register the call before they notice the way that Kokonoi‘s head snaps up, his eyes wide and loving upon hearing the noise.
The hand he was previously so enthralled in drops, falling limply at his side as he focuses on the owner of the voice instead. „Yes?“ his voice is meek and soft when he speaks, lacking the sharp, silver-tongued edge it normally has and rather mirroring the call.
Finally, the brothers turn to look at the voice. As if the world had slowed down around them, their heads turned and met sight with something magical. A woman.
She was coming their way, slowly, confidently taking long strides, the long, open Trench-coat flowing smartly behind you, an invisible wind causing it to billow majestically with every step. The rhythmic click click click of your heels against the floor seemed to hypnotize as neither of them could peel their eyes away.
When they realised that you were coming their way, they scrambled to seem put together. Ran hastily pulled a hand over his hair, haphazardly smoothing down any flyaways, and Rindou straightens his uniform gloves and pushes his glasses up on his nose, forcing his eyes to be sleepy (he thinks it looks sexy).
Once you reach the three though, you dont spare either of them a moment of your time, passing them curtly and walking straight on towards Kokonoi. He in response opened his arms invitingly for you, which you took- giving him a quick side hug and a kiss on the cheek before pulling away and straightening yourself.
Both Haitanis clearly deflated at the display of affection and shared a glance. Whilst this answered some questions the brothers had, a million new ones took their place and zoomed around their brains hectically. Ran (still a little hopeful that perhaps you’re just Kokonoi’s long lost sister) opened his mouth, about to ask of your whereabouts and why you’re here (and what your connection to the financier is but he wouldn’t have asked even if he could).
You beat him to it though. “They want us both to be present during the board meeting, which I find ridiculous, but they specifically reached out to my agent to request both of our presences.” Your hands came up to his uniform as you spoke, smoothing out the collar and brushing off non-existent dust.
Kokonoi’s eyes furrowed in confusion and he looked down as you, one arm still wrapped around your wait loosely, keeping you pulled to his side. “What, aren’t you enough? I think I’d anything at all they should be happy it’s you and not me sitting there. Why’d they want both of us?”
The Haitani brothers watched you discuss as if they were watching a tennis match, eyes flipping left and right to follow the leader of the conversation, only to return back to the other to hear the response. They didn’t have the slightest idea what this was about, but they were oddly intrigued by your very adult-sounding problems.
“Something about co-ownership of our shared title in the board. Not sure why they couldn’t just get a different ambassador to act as triangulation if only one of us would come, but I suppose it’s because of some type of marital regulations that have to be followed.” Your left hand ended up resting on his collarbone, and shiny, glittering jewelry that embezzled your hand glinted in the overhead lights. One item in particular caught the eye upon closer inspection.
The ring.
The same ring that Kokonoi wore sat pretty on your left hand, the white-gold band mirroring his perfectly.
The brothers noticed. They noticed and shared a sullen, rather beat moment of eye contact, grieving the things that could have been. Rindou is shameless enough to butt into your important sounding conversation. “Wait hold on so you’re married?”
You both halted your conversation and turned your heads to face him before turning back to each other. “They don’t know?” You ask Hajime with slightly wide eyes, a voice just above a whisper. He looks back at you, eyes just as wide as he shrugs and whispers back: “No I haven’t told them, sorry sweetheart I hadn’t figured that they’d ever meet you.”
You look at him with an incredulous look, nodding slowly. “Right…” moments of awkward staring passed before both of you sighed. „You or me?“ Kokonoi asked you in a brief whisper, and you whispered back: „You, i did it last time.“
Kokonoi groaned, seemingly remembering the aforementioned ‚last time‘. The brothers shared another look, but chose to remain quiet, silently bidding for him to speak. „We’re bound by a contract strictly immersed in the world of business. What brought us together was a marriage of convenience and mutual agreement of such circumstances. Originally, we were arranged to stay solely engaged, but as we prospered together as an item, we both started seeing the benefits that came not only financially, but also in terms of time management and simple, casual things. So, individually we decided to make it a permanent, and we’re please try surprised by each others willingness to bind ourselves to this contract for life.“
Kokonoi’s voice sounded calm, almost rehearsed, but that was probably due to the frequency of how often both of you probably had to explain this. Despite the monotone nature of the words, his voice still sounded sincere, if not almost sweet at times, as he glanced at you every so often, eyes lighting up for a split second.
Something within the brothers stirred, something unbelievable. They for some reason didn’t doubt the nature and seemingly effortless chemistry between the two of you, and they couldn’t lie and say they didn’t see the way you two looked at one another. It was a complete picture, a stark contrast to the usually silver-tongued, quick-witted, highly calculated individual they knew Kokonoi to be.
No, this Kokonoi was unknown to them. This Kokonoi had a stable relationship- a wife. This Kokonoi has stars in his eyes as he watched you confirm what he said, adding details about how the two of you met. This Kokonoi held your waist softly and squeezed once, twice to remind you of the time, and why you were here in the first place. This Kokonoi whispered to you softly underneath his breath, prompting you to nod and give the Haitani‘s both a quick handshake and a goodbye before turning around in Koko‘s arm and allowing him to drag you off towards the exit.
Rindou took off his glasses and said a quick prayer, hoping that perhaps some day he could be hit with the same stroke of luck that Kokonoi had, and Ran watched as the two of you passed Kakucho, who seemed acquainted with you, and nodded as you exchanged a quick few words, presumably excusing your absence.
Both Haitani’s could tell that the debrief session after this would be juicy, and that they had to get to know you closer. Perhaps you could tag along to the next upper echelon meeting Tenjiku was hosting.

NNN CHALLENGE MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
TODAY IS THE DAY KOKONOI HAJIME LOST NO NUT NOVEMBER.
kokonoi hajime was a strong individual, that was one thing that you knew. despite his undying loyalty to inupi and the way he never seemed to leave him alone, he could handle himself quite well. his self restrain was something to be admired, but when it came to you, the situation was quick to change.
you were a sweet girl, you always were very doting and caring when it came to koko and the things he needed. that’s what made him fall in love with you in the first place, your loving nature and the way you took care of him so well.
even after he decided to participate in the challenge with inupi, you were still in his corner the whole time.
“i know you can do it baby! i believe in you,” your tone was soft as you kissed his lips softly, and that was all it took to make his cock hard in his pants. the way you always supported him with everything he does, the way you always smile so pretty at him when he comes over to your house, he just love everything about you.
he tried his best to contain himself, honestly. he watched you wander around the house happily, smile evident on his face as you clung to him every time he came around. he stopped his fingers from curling under your shirt whenever you laid on top of him, your body mindlessly rubbing against him as you tried to get comfortable.
he forced himself not to suffocate you with his lips when you peck him gently after he gets home, your soft lips sending his brain into overdrive as he tried to control himself. you were a walking temptation, and he was slowly but surely losing his composure.
it wasn’t even two weeks before he lost his cool completely, the calendar hitting 11 days into the month before he was pressing your body against the wall, mouth against yours in desperation.
needy moans left his mouth, hands tangling in your hair as he moved your figure to the bedroom. you followed his movements, following behind him until you were in your room with your back against the sheets of your bed.
heavy grunts left kokonoi’s mouth as his cock slipped between your folds. “fuck!” you sighed, hips pushing down with every thrust into your pussy. your lips were swollen and pink as they wrapped around him, sucking him in as they had been for the whole night. “koko, pleaseeee.”
a dry chuckle left the male, his hands dragging along your chest until they were holding onto your breasts, index finger and thumb pinching at your nipple. your back arched as a wail escaped you, fingernails digging into his forearms. “yeah?”
his pace didn’t slow in the slightest, a cocky smirk crossing his face as you begged him for more. he loved the sound of your voice when you were fucked out and desperate, eyes welling with tears in hopes of koko having mercy on you. “gonna be a good girl and come on my cock, baby?”
you nodded with fervor, feeling your skin heat up as the knot in your stomach grew tighter and tighter.
“want to fucking ruin you…” his words cut through you like a knife, slowing down his pace just enough to make you whine, face scrunching in want as you pushed your hips down against him once more.
the tip of his cock was nearly at a bruising pace, pace slower but power still through the roof. if he wanted to ruin you, then he was certainly accomplishing his mission. your mind was blank as you followed his movements, holding his body close to yours.
“fuck!!— you’re gonna make me come,” you exasperated. his cock felt like heaven inside of you, the sounds of his short moans and grunts sending you into overdrive. “gonna fucking come!”
the moment those words left your mouth you were rolling your eyes, back arching as you clamped down on his cock. you clenched him so hard that the man above you moaned heavily, pounding into your sensitive pussy as you groaned in overstimulation. he was always so good at ruining you, and when you came all over his cock it was like your whole body turned to mush.
his stomach was clenching, eyes screwing shut as his eyebrows furrowed together. your cunt felt so good around him, squeezing tightly as he thrusted into you. your wetness created a squelching noise that sounded like music to koko’s ears, arousal coating him as his own orgasm started to cloud his vision. the waves of pleasure rolled through his body, eyes rolling to the back of his head as ropes of come coated your insides.
“fuck… your pussy is so fucking good…” his voice was low in your ear as you tried your best to listen. it felt like you were talking to air, his own needs closing his usual attentive nature off. his movement started to become more sporadic, moans and groans growing more aggressive as his lips pressed against yours.
ropes of come painted your insides, kokonoi squeezing your hips as his arousal finally became too much for him. a guttural moan slipped through his lips as his hips stilled. you felt so full, voice cracking as his come filled you completely.
kokonoi pressed soft kisses against your neck, soft groans slipping past his lips as he fucked you through both of your orgasms. already being exhausted, you couldn’t help but grind down onto his cock even after the orgasm that rippled through your body. “your pussy feels so good for me, baby. think you can give me another one?”

... You were in one of bonten's hideouts with your dear stepfather Kokonoi, your mother had gone on a trip and would be away for months, for that reason, even if you are already an adult and know how to take care of yourself, Kokonoi would have to take care of you, and of course, the most old boy loved the fact that he couldn't take his eyes off you.
You used to tease and excite him without feeling any remorse, and this day was no different, while Hajime was busy doing his work, you sat on his lap watching those huge amounts of money he made in a matter of seconds in front of you to any computer, as soon as you sat on the oldest's lap, you started to press your body against Kokonoi's, who even at that moment, didn't care about your advances, until, after a few minutes, he closed the tabs of his navigator and concentrated and grabbed your waist, you just wore a mini skirt and a lace blouse, your body was almost completely exposed in those clothes, this fact made Hajime even more excited with you sitting on his lap.
"What do you want, kitten? Tell me" He whispered in your ear, gently caressing your beautiful face and then running his hand over your perfect body.
You remained silent, with only a slight mischievous smile stamped on your beautiful delicate face.
"Don't you get tired of teasing me while I'm working? You already got me excited again, baby girl" The oldest scolded you, of course not with the intention of making you stop what you were doing, quite the contrary, he really enjoyed being authoritarian with his girl.
He lifted you up, gently placing you on the table where he worked, giving you a brief kiss, holding you even tighter around your waist.
"Be a good girl hmm? Be a good girl for me"
You couldn't tell how excited he was and wanted to fuck you right there, but, he wouldn't do it in that spot, Kokonoi didn't like to make you feel uncomfortable for that reason, he was always as affectionate as possible.
"Come here, little doll, I'll take you to a more comfortable place, You're not going to enjoy being fucked in this rustic office, are you?"
You ignored him, continuing to kiss him insistently, however, the taller one picked you up and gently carried you to the hall where the other Bonten members gathered seasonally, that place was clearly more comfortable, Kokonoi had the time in mind of each member, then, I was absolutely sure that no one would arrive at the time.
"Tell me, do you still want to be my little bitch?" He cupped your face, putting a lot of force on your lips, at that moment, making you look helpless, you just looked at him with desire in your eyes, seeing him smile maliciously at you.
You just nodded your head in affirmation, then Kokonoi made you open his belt, making you realize again how excited he was.
"Suck it... You're begging for this, aren't you? Mmm..."
Without hesitation, you took that whole cock in your mouth, making him let out a few small moans while gently pushing his head, he also wouldn't hesitate to make you put the whole cock down his throat, so, you just continued your work being a good girl for Kokonoi.
"Y-yeah, Y-yeah!.. My little bitch! D-damn you're so good at this, who the fuck taught you how to suck a cock that good?
After a few minutes, he stopped pushing your head against his cock, making you stand up, he gave you a small smile and by the time you were lying face down on top of the table where the meetings were held, you were already wet all over enough to receive it, he made sure to jerk you off before thrusting himself in you, of course, as always, Hajime behaved like a gentleman, so he got you super stimulated, horny as fuck, how he liked it, he prepared to fuck you, the least you expected and thought that he would have a break to rest, he stuck his cock all the way and once in your pussy, without warning he started to fuck you, pulling your hair and occasionally slapping you, making you let out loud moans and a few small screams. "You didn't beg for that shit? Now hold on baby" with each thrust he repeated that you belonged to him, making you get even more turned on. "Y-you're mine, my little bitch, arg!" After a few long minutes of fucking in the same position, he stopped for a few seconds and made you turn around, he caressed your face and gave you a small kiss on the forehead before getting back into the act, as soon as he started filling your pussy again, he together began to caress your breasts, it was undeniable how much Kokonoi is affectionate with you in those moments.
"F-fuck, baby, I-im cumming!" when he finally reached his peak, the oldest just poured his "love" inside your pussy without any worries.
"I love to see my milk flow from that delicious pussy, you know that, I can't control myself."
"I will always take care of my girl" after finishing the act, seeing that you were tired, he helped you get dressed again, made you sit in one of the armchairs until you recovered and then help you take a shower, Koko showered you with kisses on the forehead and did his best to make you feel loved.

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!! I just read your Koko x Inui!Reader work and it's a ✨masterpiece✨ Am I crying? Yes. Am I still in love with this psycho Koko? Definitely. Why? Don't know. But am I in love with your work? Absolutely!!!!!
If it's possible, may I please request Koko with fem!reader who also lost her lover (I dunno, Shinichiro, for example? Yeah, he's muuuch older than them, and the reader knew that he would never see her as a woman (more like a sister, but he’d still say smth like “yeah yeah you'll get older and I'll marry you”), but she still loved him (puppy love and stuff)). However, if Koko’s still obsessed with Akane, the reader moved on;she cherishes the memory of her first lov, but she became older and realized thing that she wasn't understand when she was younger. So with her help (it's not like she fell in love with him when they met, it's just cuz of their similar situations she decided to kinda help(?)Inui pssst Inui) , Koko see other side(?) of this type of “love”.
I still want a happy ending for him. I mean, he's such a sad (maniac, nonetheless) character, but I believe that he does deserve true and mutual love. We all had our “first loves”, puppy crushes, older crushes and stuff. I was “in love” with my brother’s friend (he was like 5 years older than me lol, and I was like 9?He also told that he will marry me and stuff, but it was like when your dad/borther promises you the same; cute and childing memory). But I think when you couldn't confess before your pass out/move on/start date someone else, you would have a feeling as if something isoff/the story does not have an ending. I don't think that even if Akane were alive, it would have changed smth for Koko. I still believe that he’d move on sooner or later. But hey, it's only my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️
I just truly want him to be happy and feel genuinely loved.

What a mystery it is — this emotion we call grief.
Shinichiro’s luck with women was always a comical one, never being able to snag a date, let alone have a girlfriend. He reached rock bottom as soon as he heard one of Manjiro’s childhood friends proclaim, “I’m Shinichiro’s future wife!”
“I’m too old for you,” He politely rejected, giving your head a gentle pat as a form of acknowledging your feelings. His heart ached at the fact that a girl was finally confessing her feelings for him but most likely under the guise of a childish crush. Something you would grow out of as soon as you matured enough. “You should give the other boys your age a chance. Manjiro and Keisuke have been fighting over who’s going to marry you.”
Shinichiro was amused at the way you violently shook your head at the prospect, quickly becoming defensive and pleading your case to him. “I may be young but I swear I’ll grow up into a beautiful lady. I can cook, I can clean, and I can take care of my siblings.”
He sighed, lighting up a nearby cigarette to help cope with the insanity he was suffering though at the moment. “Y/N, I don’t want a housewife. I want you to grow up and find the right person to fall in love with. I'll be just peachy seeing you fall for the right person.”
“Mama helps me out right now but she says I’m practically a mini adult.” You protested with your hands on your hips, glaring him down as he just shook his head at you.
“Sweetheart, you’re 13…” Shinichiro shudders at the realization of how old he's gotten. Another hit of his cigarette settles in his lungs, easing his racket of a mind. “I’m 23. There are so many things wrong with what you're asking of me.”
“In five years, I will be old enough to marry you. Wait for me until then, I know you’ll still be single!”
“Uh, ouch.” Shinichiro’s pride was bruised by how confidently you had rebuked his answer. He could sense a prick of annoyance begin to crawl up his spine. Your answer wasn't meant to be malicious in the slightest but it sure struck a nerve. “Y/N, you’re not thinking straight. You’ll get over this little crush in a couple years and it’ll be a silly little joke between us.”
“A joke? You think my feelings are joke…?” You said in a quiet voice as your heart fell to your stomach. The weight of the world was coming crashing down on your childish delusions. “I love you, I really do!”
“Oh come on, Y/N. Don’t get upset, I’m just being honest with you.” Shinichiro’s words come off more harsh than he intended, made apparent by the streams of fresh hot tears rolling down your cheeks.
“But… But! You promised… Shinichiro, you promised to marry me!”
Shinichiro’s gaze switched from the motorcycle to the blubbering mess who was turned away from him. Seeing your tears made him reconsider how harsh his words would have came off. His cigarette falls to the ground, embers burning out as he glanced over at you. “What the— Don’t cry, Y/N.”
Mikey trailed in as soon as he hears the sound of loud and pronounced wailing coming from the shop. He lazily glanced between you and Shinichiro as the lollipop in his mouth swished from side to side. “Bro, what’s wrong with Y/N?”
“I-I don’t know! She just started crying!”
“Shinichiro’s being mean! M-Mikey, your brother’s being mean to me!” You wailed, tugging on his shirt as he lightly shook you off.
Mikey grinned as he placed his arms behind his head, watching the chaos unfold before him. His mischievous eyes were still focused on his older brother’s distressed face. “This is why you’re never getting a girlfriend…”
Shinichiro groaned, shooing away Mikey as he attempted to settle down your incessant outburst of melodrama. “Y/N, look at me. Stop crying, yeah? I wanna tell you a secret, just between you and me.”
“W-What?” You sniffled.
“There’s my pretty little lady,” Shinichiro smiled, thumbing away the waterworks with his oil stained hands as he left some streaks of it on your face, not like you minded much. “No more tears, okay? When you’re older we’ll get married, yeah?”
You sniffled, wiping away the lingering droplets before staring up at him. “Promise?”
Shinichiro held up his pinky extending it out for you to reciprocate the action. “Cross my heart and hope to die.”
“I think the twenty rejections have gone to his head,” Wakasa interrupted, crunching down on the lollipop lingering in his mouth. He glanced between his friend and the young girl in front of him, scrutiny in his eyes. “He’s preying on middle schoolers now. Call the cops.”
“Shut up, Waka. You have no idea what we’re talking about!” Shinichiro immediately backtracked.
“Shinichiro, that’s sick.” Benkei shook his head at the ongoing conversation, gently pulling you away from Shinichiro’s arms before inspecting you for any sign of harm or injury. He gave Shinichiro the same judgmental glare as Waka before turning to glance at the girl right in front of him. “Did he hurt you, Y/N?”
Before a decent explanation could be made by you, it had appeared that you had run off to tell your friends the seemingly positive news. You shouted at the top of your lungs, “Emma! Shin said he would marry me.”
Takeomi walked in after you had sprinted past him through the shop’s back door, glaring down his captain with a menacing smile. “Am I high or did she say what I think she said? Better have a decent excuse, Shin.”
“Big bro’s farts stink like hell, Y/N." Mikey interjected, becoming amused with the way you always accepted Shinichiro's false promises without a second thought. "Oh, I bet he only said that so you would stop crying.”
Mikey had never received a more painful punch in his life, knocking him straight in the jaw as you ran back inside to tattle on your best friend.
“Shinichiro! Manjiro’s being mean to me. He keeps saying you're not gonna marry me!”
Soon after, the unexpected news of Shinichiro's death crashed on your body like a bucket of ice water. You refused to eat, sleep was no longer a priority, school was no longer a necessity. A piece of you had died along with him, a piece that would leave a gaping hole in your heart, a piece of yourself that would never come back.
“Big bro would have wanted you to have it,” Mikey said quietly, onyx irises devoid of emotion. “Take care of it, okay?”
Shinichiro’s chain necklace, the one you always fiddled with as a child. The one you always loved hearing clink against his neck as he worked on a motorcycle. It was yours now. The necklace found a new home upon your neck, the frigid metal weighed heavy on your collarbones, it would serve as a constant reminder of the love you held for Shinichiro.
No one ever told you the difference between love and grief.
The visits to Shinichiro’s grave became less frequent though your feelings for him were still tucked away in the folds of your heart. Shinichiro Sano was once the iridescent sun and you were his precious little moon, orbiting his ethereal presence as if he were the only celestial body in existence.
“I’m in high school now, Shin. I wish you could see how much I’ve grown,” You sighed, hugging your knees to your chest as you spoke to the shining tombstone. “Bet you’d wish I was still begging for your attention.”
“Manjiro and Emma are doing well though we haven’t spoken in a while. The Black Dragons have changed, Shinichiro. More than when you were around. I wish you never left us…”
Inui Seishu was someone you would never would have expected to become friends with. He held the first-generation Black Dragons with high respect. You had previously spotted him hanging around S.S. Motors along with the other delinquents Shinichiro often housed. Kokonoi Hajime was someone who tested your patience with every breath he took, he loved to tease and get under your skin with a snaky remark. The two reminded you of a cat and dog duo, one who's constantly at the other’s throats.
“I made a new friend; I’m sure you remember him. His name is Inui, basically sees you as a god.” You chuckled, "He hangs out with Waka and Benkei sometimes. Oh, they're doing fine too..."
A shaky breath escapes your quivering lips, the childhood memories of the time you all spent together come flooding in like a tidal wave. “It’s time for me to grow up, Shinichiro. You said I needed to find the right person to fall in love with, right?”
Except you’re not sure how to do that nor how to even begin on that journey.
Your soft steps echoed the graveyard as a warm gust of breeze enveloped your body as if to reassure yourself that you were making the right choice. “This is goodbye, first love."
You peered up at the sunset, sparing it a gentle smile as you continued on your path. “Shinichiro, wherever you are, you’ll live in my heart forever. I’ll always remember that smile of yours… too bad it was your last.”
Koko can’t seem to remember when days started turning into weeks, into months, into years. When the fine lines of separation between Seishu and Akane began to blur into one person. It was fascinating how his grief had him groveling in a rut of searching for a glimmer of happiness. He never realized how low he had fallen until he kissed Inupi’s sleeping figure in the library’s silent corridors. He swore it was Akane who welcomed his anguished lips to lie upon hers. He swore it was her who was resting against the windowsill, basking in the comforting embrace of the sunshine pouring in through the glass.
What have I done?
His sleepy lids fluttered open, he glanced up at the evening sky, gentle streaks of golden light dance across the scattered clouds, hinting at the vibrant display yet to come. The air is calm, and the world seems to hold its breath, savoring the tranquil moment as day slowly gives way to night.
Kokonoi groggily reaches out to the figure next to him, his fingers brushing against the other person’s arm. “Akane?”
He was instead greeted by your teasing voice, a slight snippy tone as you get firm with him as he wakes up. “Good morning, Your Highness. It’s about time you woke up.”
“It’s not very good if you’re here,” He muttered as soon as he realized who exactly he was talking to. What a joke. “Were you watching me sleep? I knew you were a freaky girl, been telling Inupi since the day we met.”
“Remind me again why I even bother with you, Koko…” You snapped, shaking your head at the attempt to insult you. "I'm not the one who sent some cryptic ass text telling me to meet you here. You were the one I found asleep in the middle of the field."
He chuckled at the remark, sticking his tongue out just as he always did when being smug. “Lack of a brain, clearly.”
The summer air was thick with moisture, each breath feels heavy, laden with the scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass. The humidity wraps around everything, making the world seem slightly softened and hazy. Beads of sweat form quickly, tracing lazy paths down foreheads and necks, as the heat lingers even in the shade. The atmosphere is thick, almost tangible, carrying the distant hum of cicadas and the occasional rustle of leaves in the still, sultry air.
One question weighed on your mind, escaping your chest before you could think clearly. An inquiry that desperately needed an answer, no matter what kind of potential rift it would cause for either of you. “Koko, have you ever been in love?”
“Yes,” He paused for a moment, tilting his head and closing his eyes in deep concentration as he pondered on how to answer the question. “She was beautiful,” Kokonoi said, cutting through the momentary silence. “I wanted to marry her. Hell, I was going to marry her but—“
“Who’s Akane?”
Kokonoi realized you heard his muttering as he was asleep on the grass.
“Life never works out, does it?” A cold laugh escaped your lips, “I lost my first love too."
Kokonoi is aware of the fact you are an open person, he’s never witnessed the endless void in your eyes as you begin to relay the story of your lost lover. The empty shell you became as soon as the words began to depart your mouth. What a soulless sight.
It reminds him of himself. He hates it.
“We both promised we could marry once I was older. Now I’m beginning to realize how naïve I was to think it would work out.”
“Seishu told me about his older sister. She reminds me of Shinichiro, did you have a chance to confess to her?”
“That’s none of your damn business. Everything I do is for Akane," He admitted. “It’s the only way I can atone for the sins I carry.”
“Do you think that’s fair to Seishu?” You questioned, leading the conversation into dangerous territory. Kokonoi perked up at the drop of his friend's name, narrowing his scrutinizing gaze at you. It was like you knew which aggravating buttons to push with an expert hand, slowly setting the stage for an argument to brew and burst out. “Pushing him away because you believe that you deserve to suffer in his place. That’s a bit selfish, don’t you think?”
“What do you know? You’re just a stupid little girl who can’t get over the ghost of someone who’s never coming back!”
“You’re just a scared little boy who can’t face the fact that he deserves to make his own choices! Are you so far gone that you'll do anything for the sake of money?!” You fired back, frustration beginning to cloud your mind as the argument escalates further and further. “The Kanto Manji Gang is going to ruin you, Kokonoi."
“It’s my life, isn’t it? Quit acting like you own me." He griped, slapping away the finger you had jammed into his chest.
You scoffed, shooting him a pained glare as the knot in your throat tightened with each syllable that escaped your lips. Koko reflected so much of your grieving self that it was painful to stare at him straight on. “I’m not going to speak for Akane, but I know Shinichiro would hate me for using his memory as an excuse to make myself miserable! Let the dead rest, Hajime. It’s the least we can do for them to able to move on peacefully.”
Kokonoi has never received such an enraged response from you, nor has he ever witnessed you shedding tears over a fight. “Some days are more difficult than others, I understand that. I can function normally until the band aid over my heart is ripped off once again and I’m just a pathetic crying mess.”
Kokonoi can picture himself at home, destroying his belongings and wrecking his room in a fit of relentless rage.
“40 million... I'll make that money even if I die."
Kokonoi can picture himself receiving the phone call from his best friend, anguished sobs echoing across the line as he delivers the bone-chilling news he never wished to hear.
“Akane... She’s dead."
He can picture himself inside the hospital room, looming over Akane’s lifeless body. Bandages covering the unsightly burns across her body. Even in death, she was such a beautiful sight despite the injuries that consumed her entire being.
“I’m sorry, Akane! If only I had more money…”
Koko wishes he could be freed from the guilt of losing his best friend’s sister. Freed from the urge to chase at a fleeting shadow. Freed from the need to atone for his past self's shortcoming and unfulfilled promises.
“I walk into Mikey’s house sometimes expecting to run into Shinichiro,” You sighed, laying back in the grassy area of the ground. Kokonoi’s gaze traced your gentle features, admiring how well they reflected with the sunset’s glow on your skin. He can sense a subtle aura of longing radiating from your body “I always expect to see him waiting for me in the old bike shop.”
He can barely stop the suppressed confession from escaping his lips as soon as he blurted it out. “I kissed Inupi because I wanted to believe that it was Akane who was sitting there."
Surprisingly, you say nothing in response. Simply accepting it for what it is.
"I tried going out with Mikey for a while thinking he could make up for Shin. We both realized it wasn't healthy for either of us." You know he isn't seeking a response, instead someone who could find common ground. “Moving on doesn’t mean we’re leaving the people we love behind us. It means we have to live for ourselves, we get to choose our own paths, we write our own stories.”
You sighed, standing up and brushing away the debris lingering on your pants. The guilt of arguing with him earlier continued biting at your conscious, beckoning for you to reconcile with the boy. “It’s late, I should be heading home soon. I’m sorry for raising my voice at you, Hajime. I was trauma dumping, totally uncalled for.”
He nodded his head in response, choosing to acknowledge you passively rather than with words. Kokonoi could sense the iron-clad walls surrounding his heart beginning to cave in, threatening to tear apart his remaining composure. The years of pent-up grief was starting to bubble up and escape through the tattered seams of his soul.
Y/N has always treated me as friend even though I never considered her more than a nuisance.
Koko trembled, tears rolling thickly down his face, stinging his cracked lips. His hands twisted around each other as if he could press the worst of his feelings back into his skin. “Y-Y/N?” He croaked.
You immediately abandoned your thoughts, rushing to his side. “Koko? What is it? What’s wrong?” Your voice was sharp with concern as you scrutinized Koko any sign of something amiss.
Hesitating, Koko shook his head, his mouth opening and closing before opening again. His quivering voice could barely be heard from above a tiny whisper. “Could you just… hold me? Just for a minute?”
The request was bizarre but the anguished expression consuming his features sent your mind into overdrive. It was as if he would split into pieces if you weren't there to hold him together. He resembled a child crying out for their mother, desperate to be reassured that everything would be okay, he was safe, he was fine.
“Yeah, yeah of course.” You pulled Koko in, enveloping him in your arms, one hand cradling the back of his head and the other rubbing soothing circles into his back. You were quiet for a moment before you spoke, soft and gentle, “You know, it doesn’t have to be for just a minute. I’m here for as long as you need me.”
Koko is unable to understand how someone as compassionate as you can exist. Despite the constant banter you two have shared over the past year, you always treated him so well. He admires the way you’re ready to hand out your infinite kindness without expecting anything in return. He’s forgotten that there are people in this world who could care less about money or what he can offer to them.
There are people in this world who are the walking definition of a guardian angel. People who are there to listen and guide others when they've lost themselves, Koko stumbled upon that epiphany as soon as he became vulnerable with you. No expectations, no need to return the favor, it did not feel transactional to him like his other dealings.
“I’m not a good person. I don’t deserve comfort,” Koko mumbled into your shoulder. He was speaking more to himself than to you, finding a way to cope with the influx of manic chaos rushing through his veins. Your embrace was more than enough to calm his nerves though he cursed himself internally for allowing himself to be so weak in front of you.
The pure vulnerability of being able to indulge in another person’s care was something Koko thought he would never experience. Life served him the worst hand of cards, the only way to survive was to outsmart the system by creating his own.
“Regardless of whether you’re a good person or not, people don’t become better by treating themselves badly. And you don’t have to earn my kindness or ration it like it’ll run out. You already have it, as much as you’ll let me give you.”
You both stood like that for much longer than a minute.
"To be honest, I tolerate you better than most. You can be nice to have around, sometimes." He admitted, thinking you deserved some shred of his kindness in exchange for the temporary sanctuary you provided.
"I think that's the sweetest thing you've ever said to me, Koko. I should record that, say it again!" You rolled your eyes playfully, holding up your cellphone as if you actually wanted to follow through with your plans.
Koko rolled his eyes at the suggestion, choosing to stick his tongue out as a response. "Don't push your luck, Y/N. This won't happen again."
"Hajime... It's time for you to live your life the way you want to."
“I will," Koko affirmed. "Don't have to tell me twice."
Meanwhile, Inui sighed from the sidelines, making note of the way you avoided his gaze as if it would change how easy it was for him to read you. He noticed the sheepish smile on your face and the subtle rosy tint on your cheeks but decided to spare you the embarrassment of explaining as soon as you approached. "How did it go?"
You cleared your throat, a tiny grimacing smile soon replacing the bashful expression. "Better than expected. You should reach out to him before 2nd Gen Toman faces Kanto Manji, I would hate see either of you get hurt."
Inui shook his head, returning a pained smile "You've done enough, Y/N. Koko needs to figure out the rest on his own. Want me to walk you home?"
"Thanks, Seishu." You answered but continued to politely decline his offer. "But I have to catch up with someone in a bit. I'll see you around okay?"
"Right, get home safe then. Message as soon as you make it back."
Soon enough, the sight of a familiar tombstone comes into view, a pair of fresh incense sticks and a pack of his favorite cigarettes adorning the gravesite. Waka and Benkei must’ve paid a visit right before you arrived. "Hiya, Shin. Guess what? I think I found someone to fall in love with. He's rough around the edges in some ways but I can sense that he has a warm heart. Sure, he gets on my nerves and can be too cocky for his own good, but he has some redeeming qualities.”
A tiny grin dances across your lips as you fiddle with the hem of your sleeves. “You know, it may be too soon to call it love but we’re starting off as friends… that’s a nice start, right?”
It’s quiet, so painstakingly quiet that you swore you could hear Shinichiro’s voice being carried through the wind. The graveyard was desolate considering the late hour. Call it wishful thinking, a side effect of long term grief or pure and utter delusion but the words strike like a resonating chord in your heart.
'I’m proud of you, Y/N.'
The graveyard feels a little less lonely tonight.

The jealousy series is definetly a hit! But now I am curious how would the boys react to seeing their s/o getting jealous and territorial over them. So how about some headcanons for how Mikey, Izana and Koko would react to seeing their s/o getting snappy with a girl that's hitting on them?
Mikey:
he would be baffled tbh
would have legit no words at all for your actions
"You fucking bitch, what the hell do you think you have with Mikey? He sure as hell won't like you! He's with me."
he just looked between you and the girl with his mouth slightly agape
"who says he is actually with you because he likes you?"
"if you take one fucking step towards him, I will not hesitate to do something to you."
he awkwardly apologizes and takes you away at that point, not wanting anything to start up (he sees himself in you in a way iykyk)
"what the hell? why did you apologize?" you whine as he looks away, a faint blush on his cheeks
he bit his lip as he pondered what to reply with...
"it was too hot to handle"
yeah, not what he was going for, but the cat's out of the bag now.
Izana:
a small 'tch' left your lips as he glances over at you, shooting a questioning look
"Listen, he's not listening. Your flirty is pathetic and downright horrible, my dad could flirt better than you. so.. drop it." you spit and interrupt the girl as you glare at her, grabbing izana's hand as you walk off
he glances back at the girl, his eyebrows furrowed as he sticks his tongue out, grinning as he turns back and catches up to you
"so.. wanna tell me what that was about?" he asks with a grin as your glace falters
"it was me sticking up for your oblivious ass." you mutter as a faint blush coats your cheeks
oblivious or not, he was certainly head-over-heels for you
(even more than before)
Kokonoi:
if it were him, he would just wave money in the person's face to get them away from him
however, you were with him today, and the aura around you was deadly
there was a girl stuck to his side, talking about who knows what about her day as you shoot him a glare
all he has to offer back is a quirk in his eyebrow; it was normal?
"Listen, nobody here cares about your day. Get off of my man."
the room went dead silent, even Kakucho turned his head
"I wasn't talking to you, y/n."
"Well, I am talking to you. Fuck off." you say as you get up and peel her off of koko, a scowl on your face as you replace where she had been sitting, clinging to Koko's side with a small sigh
he wraps a hand around your head, throwing a considerably small (smaller than what he usually hands out lol) wad of cash into the girl's face
"leave." is all he says as you glare at her through your lashes
two tigers right here LMAO

The harem reacting to Takemichi pouting or saddened
Mikey would nuzzle close to Takemichi and try to make him happy so no one else would see it. A pouting Takemichi is a sight for him and only him.
Draken's heart would be beating so fast to the point he believes he's about to suffer from a heart attack, but he still squish his cheeks.
Chifuyu and Hakkai takes lots of pictures so they could put them as their background later and gives lots of hugs and cuddles to make him feel better.
Baji would be aggressively flustered and would be trying to bite his cheeks without hurting him, because that would make him sadder.
Inupi would cuddle with him and let Takemichi nuzzle his face in the crook of his neck, till he's satisfied and ecstatic. Anything to make his cute boss happy.
Kokonoi would buy anything Takemichi would want, even when Takemichi tells him there's no need for it. He still does.
Kazutora would playfully biting his mochi-like cheeks, which would make Takemichi giggle.
I couldn't write something for Mitsuya, Sanzu and the four heavenly Kings of Tenjiku😔 but I will try later for them.

Gender Neutral Reader x Cat hybrid Kokonoi
Omegaverse/ a/b/o
This is my first time writing a/b/o so do feel free to criticize it
(name) sighed as they walked into the apartment they shared with their omega, Kokonoi. Today had been an especially stressful day as work was being piled onto them to no end, needing to stay at the office longer just to finish enough work that tomorrow wouldn't start with an unholy amount of work, all they wanted to do was take a shower and cuddle with Koko, needing it desperately after such a tiring day. When they first walked in, the entire apartment was pitch black, had Koko already went to bed? Sure they got back late but not *that* late they thought-
They walked through the quiet apartment, looking for the cat hybrid and finding him already asleep in their shared bed, hugging onto (name)'s pillow in his sleep. He looked so cute! So cute that (name) couldn't resist not kissing one of his soft ears as they pet his hair softly, though they didn't act with the intention to wake him, he still stirred awake mumbling sleepily, "alpha?" "sorry love, i didn't mean to wake you. i'm just going to shower then i'll come to bed, go back to sleep in the meantime." they scratched behind his ear lightly, the black haired man purring softly and leaning into their touch. "i'll only be a minute, i promise." they pulled their hand away, much to the dismay of the omega as he whined at the loss of contact and (name) went to take a shower. They did try to keep it as quick as they could whilst still being thoroughly clean, soon walking out of the shower and finding Kokonoi sitting up on the bed, staring expectantly as if he had been waiting for the other, his tail thumping against the sheets impatiently and his ears perking up when they actually stepped out.
"love, i told you not to wait on me and go back to sleep" (name) spoke softly as they walked over to him, cupping his cheek gently as he leaned into the warmth. "missed you.." "i missed you too omega." they sighed and pressed a loving kiss to his lips before going to change into some nightwear, climbing into bed next to the other, holding him close and petting his hair as he purred loudly. "you came home later than usual." Kokonoi commented, breaking the comfortable silence. "had a lot of work to finish up, i'm sorry love." they kissed the crown of his head, staring lovingly at the pouting man who lay on his chest. "i still don't know why you choose to work, i'm more than happy to provide, not like you have that much more money than me." he mumbled and in a sense, he was right- he did have a lot of money at his disposal, much more than (name)'s salary but they couldn't have him be the one who pays, they're meant to provide and protect him as his alpha after all. "i know you have more than enough funds to take care of us but i like this job, even if sometimes they give out unreasonable workloads." they said, twirling some of his hair around their finger as their other hand pet his tail which was now securely wrapped around them. "i'm just saying, the option is there." he said, cuddling into them even more. "now shut up, i want to sleep." "i told you to sleep while i took a shower, you're the one who stayed awake waiti-" a smack to the face with his tail got (name) to stop. "fine, lets sleep." they closed their eyes and relaxed even more, petting the other's ears as he purred and yawned.
"good night alpha.."
"good night, love."

HE LOVES MY HEART SHAPED SUNGLASSES! ft kokonoi hajime ( ♡ )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: You and Kokonoi go shopping until you find a pair of red heart shaped sunglasses, you were hellbent on getting them; until you checked the price.
warning: none
alo’s notes: hihiii!!! im in my lana del rey era so we getting a lot of lana references (forgive me please)
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a normal day of shopping with Kokonoi, you were his loving girlfriend and he liked spoiling you; you’d somehow stumbled into the back of a store walking around with Kokonoi behind you.
“Are you sure you just want to window shop, angel? You know we can buy it if you're really hellbent on buying something.”
You shook your head no as you walked down another aisle. “No no it's okay Haji! We can always buy it some other time.” You smiled sheepishly, walking down the aisle as you moved to the other side.
You’d made it to an aisle filled with accessories, walking around slow as you heard Kokonoi’s footsteps from behind you, stopping before you crouched down, something had caught your eye.
A pair of heart shaped sunglasses, the lens an even deeper red as you held them up to your face, placing them onto your face pushing them down the bridge of your nose.
Kokonoi chuckled, hugging you from behind as her played with your glasses, pulling and pushing them on the bridge of your nose.
“You look pretty with these, you should really buy them, you know.” He chuckled, playing with them still as you took them off, you were deep in thought about it.
“Okay.. c’mon Koko.” You motioned for him to grab your hand, making your way to the self checkout.
You scanned the price tag, watching the total price pop up on the screen $346.87; your jaw dropped as Kokonoi pulled out his credit card.
Kokonoi watched you stand there in awe as you questioned your life decisions. Carefully pushing you to the side as he swiped his card a giggle came out of him as he led you out of the shop.
“Here angel, put these on.” He pushed the glasses onto your forehead, a smile on your face as you positioned them straightly, sighing as you looked back at your extremely proud boyfriend.
“You love my heartshaped sunglasses huh, Kokonoi?” You chuckled, his hands trailed your back as he hugged your frame.
“Damn right I do!”

The Kokonoi couple (trademark) — Kokonoi Hajime
Content: headcanons
Tropes: Cool!Rich! Auntie and Uncle Kokonoi and Reader
Content warnings: Reader and Koko dont want their own kids, and commonly belittle them
Summary: The Kokonoi couple will do anything to avoid children, but that doesn’t stop the little beasts from staring in awe whenever they’re around. How unfortunate that their friends have children of their own…
Vixen‘s two cents: Hello! This is an idea I’ve had for a while, I’ve finally done it! I’m probably going to expand on this later but it had to get rid if the brainrott. Yes. Don’t be afraid to share, note, comment or reboot of you like my content, and remember that requests are open! So if you have any ideas you’d like to see, feel free to send me an ask! Now enjoy!
Cool, rich auntie and uncle Kokonoi and reader, who both can’t stand kids. The kids love them, literally ask their parents if they’re gonna be at events and gathering, but they really don’t like kids. ‘They’re messy’, ‘they’re loud’ and ‘they’re disgusting’ are what they would say when asked about having one of their own.
Cool Auntie y/n who frowns down at Ken and Emma’s kid with a wicked smile on her face, “oh you disgusting little thing, hm? Slimy little rat you, how peculiar you are.” She hisses down at the toddler (who’s just exited to see her), curling her fingers in disgust, long nails making her hands look like talons. The kid, once ecastic to see you makes a mad dash for it (as fast as the little legs will go), retrieving to the safety of his parents.
Cool Uncle Kokonoi who really doesn’t know what to do with the older Haitani’s twins when they won’t leave him alone. In a desperate attempt to get rid of them, he hands them each a few bills and advises them to “Go to your maker tell him that I’m done with you. Show him that you’re good for at least something.” As he shoos them away.
Cool Auntie and Uncle who always pull up in those fast, loud cars that all the litte boys admire, all squealing when they hear them pull up into the driveway. Running to catch a glimpse at the sleek vehicle as is it parks.
Cool Auntie y/n who always steps out of the cars with red-bottoms elevating her dangerously off the floor, but she wears them like they‘re slippers, molded to her feet like cushions.
Cool Uncle Kokonoi who always has those shiny, sleek, expensive Watches, the metals glinting and reflecting in the headlights of the car. The kids ask for the time wayyy more than they care for when he’s around.
Cool Auntie y/n who always has her hair done, and is always coming or going to appointments. She never has time to stay, and when she does she isn’t there for long because she has „Places to be! People to meet!“
Cool Uncle and Auntie who always come bearing the best of gifts. Big, exotic baskets of foreign sweets from their latest travel, the most expensive and high quality liquors the country has to offer, and most importantly, all the wishes the parents had denied their kids. Now dont misunderstand. They still aren’t very fond of children, but they sure do love to stir things up. So when Kakucho begs for them not to buy another lego set, for his feet had endured enough abuse, they know what the next Christmas will bring. Or when Takemichi and Hinata were struggling with a plushy obsession their daughter had, they conveniently placed an order for „Super kawaii Sanrio XXL cuddle plushies“.
Cool Auntie y/n who lets the kids taste a sip from her wineglass (which she is somehow always holding, and is somehow always full). The parents strongly discourage this behavior, but she heartily reminds them that it’s just a sip, nothing will happen.
Cool Uncle Kokonoi who is always carrying something sweet. The kids know this, and they know that if they ask nicely, their kindness has a great chance of being rewarded. It’s always those really good treats with the golden wrappers too!
Cool Auntie y/n who is an icon to the oldest daughters, because she commonly sorts out her closet, revamping her entire repetier, and handing down all the sorted goods. You know there’s some real treasures in the batches, ranging from shoes to purses to sweaters to evening gowns- all designer of course.
Also Cool Auntie y/n who gives the oldest Ryuguji daughter her first pair of heels. The moment she turned 15 (she couldn’t believe her age even when she was told three, four times) she took her out shoe-shopping. They emerged from the date with many-a-pairs and lots of excitement. Auntie y/n has learned that the older they get, the more bearable they are. She appreciates that.
The parents who dont really get or support the kids’s obsession with the Kokonoi-couple because it seems that they cause nothing but trouble and unhealthy spending habits.

Chapter Song: Icon for Hire - Sorry About Your Parents
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
You jumped out of bed at the sound of the door opening. You carefully put the manga you borrowed from Mikey on the coffee table next to you. You were afraid to take this manga from him, but when Mikey forced it, you had nothing to do.
That incident was still on your mind.
"Mommy?" you asked when you entered the living room. But you were wrong. It was your father who came. Still, you were a little excited to see, your father too.
"It's me, not your mother." your father said as he rummaged through the empty vases instead of looking at you.
"Welcome Father." Then he slammed the drawers open. You didn't say anything even though it got on your nerves that he didn't turn it off.
"Hello Y/N." he said indifferently and ruffled her hair as she left the salon. This little gesture of love made you smile.
"Are you looking for something father?" You said by going after him. Now he was in your room. He was rummaging through your notebooks, jewelry boxes, and drawers.
“Do you have the money?”
"What?"
"Did she leave money for you in the morning?”
You nod your head, that means yes. "Why father?"
Your father knelt right in front of you and patted your cheeks paternally. "How much did your mother give you?"
"About 4000 yen." You said quietly. You knew what would happen. You should have guessed from the first moment he walked into the house.
"Can you give me that money, dear? I promise I'll pay you double next week, what do you say?"
You didn't want to say anything. Because if your father came home, his only purpose was to take money. He received a fortnightly share of the money your mother earned by working nights. And like it wasn't enough, he was taking the money your mother left you too, saying that he would double it the next week.
You haven't seen his give back half that money, let alone double it.
"Isn't it a very profitable deal?" he continued.
You didn't have the luxury of saying no. But tomorrow you had to pay for school books.
"My mom left half of that money for my school fees. Tomorrow is the last day to pay for the textbooks." You said hoping she wouldn't get angry.
"I don't think anything will happen. Tell your teachers your mom didn't leave you any money, it's okay if you ask permission to bring it next week."
"But that's not true-"
"You're not lying for the first time in your life." He said and stood up. "Where's the money? Your father really needs it, dear Y/N."
You had nothing to say about it. Saying that you will give the money, you opened the small compartment in your school bag and handed all the money you took out to your father.
"Thanks, my beautiful daughter." He said and kissed your cheek. You didn't say anything even though you were disgusted. You were afraid your father would hit you. That's why you would never say no to him.
"I'm leaving. I'll be back soon, okay?" You didn't answer when he said it, you didn't even follow her to see him off. When you heard the door slam, you went into the living room and dialed one of the numbers you had memorized on your home phone.
You needed that money. On the second ring, the person on the other end finally picked up the phone.
"Hi." You said inside, cursing your father. He shouldn't have put you and your mother in this situation.
"Hello Y/N? Did something happen?" You were relieved when you heard your friend's voice saying.
"I'm going to ask you a favor. I'll be with you in a moment. Don't go anywhere." After saying that, you hung up the phone and ran to your room. You put on your clothes in no time, and after drinking a glass of water, you left the house. You put on your shoes and locked the door.
Why did your father put you in this situation instead of taking you to the park right now? Why didn't you have a father like the other kids have? You knew there were people worse off than you. But you were still a child. You were a kid who wanted his father and mother to come with him to the park.
It wouldn't be selfish to ask for so much you thought.
After walking through the dirty streets, you finally reached the front of the small warehouse. The warehouse was quite dirty, just like the street it was located on. Knowing that there was nothing you could do, you opened the door of the warehouse and entered. There was no use in embarrassment now. It was better to be embarrassed right now than to be embarrassed in front of your friends and teachers in class.
"Who the hell is there!" You were startled when you heard a shout. A boy your age stood in front of you in a way you didn't know where it came from.
"I was looking at Koko." You said in a timid voice. You knew not to mess with street punks. But It seemed like it was going to be a little tough when your best friends were the hooligans too.
The boy nodded to show he understood. He seemed to have news. "Go up those stairs."
You quickly made your way upstairs without making eye contact with the boy. This place was eerie and you wanted to go as soon as possible. It gave her goosebumps to remember her friends hanging out around here every day.
When you went upstairs, you entered one of the rooms and looked on a black-haired boy sitting on a red sofa.
"Koko?" You called out to the boy and he stood up with your voice. The moment you saw his face, you felt relieved.
"What are you doing here Y/N?" He asked with a little harshly. You knew he wasn't trying to be rude though. As the days passed, his demeanor became more and more stern. You're still friends after all, right? People change as they get older. No one would stay the same.
"I'm not trying to get straight to the point, but I need your help, Koko." You said while sitting where he pointed. Even if it was a little dirty, you tried not to problem. Now you were sitting opposite each other.
“I guess you need the money, don't you?” You nodded your head yes when he asked.
"I know I asked you last time too, but I have to pay for my schoolbooks tomorrow. I'll pay it back next week when my mom gives me pocket money."
Koko stood up. "It's okay, how much was it?"
"1500 yen is enough." You would only ask for the amount of your school fees. There was no need for the rest.
You were no longer surprised when he instantly took the money out of his pocket and handed it to you. Despite being the same age as you, what they did was incredible. The emotions he felt were also incredible.
"Thanks, Kokonoi. You never reject me."
"I said it's okay. Is it because of your father again?"
"Who else can it be!" You said with a angry voice. “The things my father does drive me crazy while my mother works day and night.”
"I hope your mother gets divorced soon." said Kokonoi, cursing your father with you. He was accompanying you as you descended the stairs. You never dared to tell your mother that, even though you thought about divorces most of the time. As you recall, they made happily married. You weren't sure right now if that love was still there though.
"By the way, Y/N, what's your mom job?" You shrugged when he asked.
"I don't know exactly. She works at night. Sometimes she goes abroad or something, I guess. She comes two days a week, leaves me money or something, checks my needs."
"But she's making a lot of money, isn't she?"
Your live in a good neighborhood. Since you've been alone for a long time, your mother decided to move to the neighborhood she think is safer. She had you enrolled in a private school. Your mother took care of all your needs, school fees, everything. But you see very little of her because of all this. Maybe if your father had done his part, you would have had more time with your mother.
"Yes, but you know my father. God knows what he spends that money on!"
Koko didn't want to answer that. Because his predictions weren't pretty. He didn't want to say it because he knew that these things didn't come to your mind.
"Y/N, I know your father is into your money. You never tell your father did, to your mother do you? It's okay to ask me for a loan, but you can't always find me."
"Yes Koko." You answered. You didn't understand what the boy was trying to say.
"Why don't you get a job? Even if it's a small job, you'll have some money you can hide from your father without his knowing it. At least until you tell your mother."
All sorts of thoughts filled your head with this new idea. The thing is, it was a really great idea. There was a lot of work for kids your age to do.
"This is actually a very thoughtful idea, Koko. Maybe I can get a job, even at a bookstore."
"Still, my advice is your mother get a divorce as soon as possible." You laughed when he said it. Even if you laugh, Koko was right. Yes, you might miss your father when you haven't seen him for a long time, but the moment you see him, this longing burns away.
"Isn't it dirty in here?" You asked when you came to the door of the warehouse.
"It is, but we manage." You smiled at him when he said that. Koko was a really close friend of yours. Whatever you needed, he never turned you down, always tried to help. Even though he's been through so much after what happened to Akane, he was still Koko sometimes.
“Thanks again, Kokonoi. If you need anything, please call.” When she said that, Koko nodded in agreement. After you said goodbye to her, you hurried home.
Along the way, you had in mind why people insisted on having children when they wouldn't care.
Why did the children suffer their sins?
They didn't ask them how they were born. It was unfair that they were born in a way they didn't want.
You thought that not everyone is created fair.
Absolutely no one is created equal.
Hello after a very long time! I hope you enjoyed our second part.
