Again & Again. | Hybrid!SKZ [B.C.]
╱|、 Pairing : Wolf Hybrid!Bangchan x Fem!Reader (˚ˎ 。7 Warnings : Aggressive Chan, Sexual Content (MDNI), biting, knotting, |、˜〵 choking/pinning, spit/drool, growling/snapping, borderline BDSM じしˍ,)ノ Notes : Day 3 of 4 from the BbokiDwae Collab with @dwaekkicidal!
ㅤ-`♡´- Hybrid!Chan likes to have his way - all of the time. But that's because he views himself as the Alpha in your household, so if you comply with him, it just makes everything easier. And of course, that slips over into the bedroom as well. -`♡´- Which means that he wants you to just sit still, look pretty, and let him abuse your holes until you're reduced to tears that stain the soft white sheets under your head.
-`♡´- Constant, hard, rough, bed-rocking, headboard-slamming-on-the-wall fucking ; whether that means he's got you bent over the side of the bed or he's mounting you from behind - maybe even letting you sit atop his hips while he pushes his cock up into you from below. -`♡´- He cannot do soft sex unless he absolutely has to. And there is a reason for that.
-`♡´- Primal urges are constant when it's mating season for him. He's growling under his breath at people who get too close to you, he always has to have his hands on your waist or in your back pocket, and if you're at home then he's stuck to your side like glue. -`♡´- And those primal urges also transfer into the bedroom as well. He'll snarl at you from behind when you squirm as your orgasm approaches, whispering out that you should stay still if you want it to take and that he's going to keep going until he knows you're full of his pups. -`♡´- If you're not listening and keep moving underneath him, he'll scruff you by biting at the side of your neck and sinking his teeth in just enough to hold you tight. It hurts, he knows it hurts, and he'll apologize for it later with a soft whimper in his voice - but for now he just needs your pretty body to lay still for him.
-`♡´- Speaking of urges - during mating season all they're telling him to do is breed. -`♡´- He's constantly in you - pinning you down with a hand on your neck on the sofa, bending you over in the bed, filling you to the brim against the kitchen counter; He's fucking up into you with heavy balls and a ruddy tip that is always, always leaking in desperation to be rubbing up on your gummy pink walls. -`♡´- And he's got so much cum to give. During mating season his body is constantly vibrating, jittery and aching for release. And one knot is never enough.
-`♡´- He's flooding you with cum so much so that even his knot can't contain it. He'll fuck into you, growl out as soon as his knot inflates and huff as it locks him into you - and even then he won't stop, rutting his hips desperately for more friction until he's grinding his cock deeper against your walls, kissing your cervix with a tip that spurts thick ropes of white to fill you up. -`♡´- And as soon as his knot deflates, it comes leaking out the moment he moves away. So he plugs you up again, cock still hard and eyes rolling back at the way you're so slick now. And how is he supposed to stop then, hm?
-`♡´- There is a lot of biting involved. You're constantly covered in marks of his dominance and adoration by being littered with imprints of his canines - though he knows better and will leave them in less obvious places - both from holding you down/frustration and pent up feelings and from needing to mark you up so others know that his territory includes you. -`♡´- And the man is feral. He's absolutely going to be drooling when he fucks you, tongue sliding over his lips over and over at the sight of how delicious your body looks rocking underneath his as he fucks into you for the fourth time that evening - if you ask nicely, and if you're into it, he may just spit on your pussy too. (He probably will anyway.)
-`♡´- He is determined to breed you. Even if you're on birth control or simply don't want kids (and he knows it), he'll still attempt to fill you up as much as he possibly can. Even though there's just so much cum that it all ends up leaking out in the end.
-`♡´-
"Gonna fill you up. You want that, yeah? You want me to fill you up?" He'll whine to mock your moans, brows crinkling when you choke on your sounds. "Say it." He'll growl, "Say you want it."
"Sit still. Sit still," He huffs, hand landing a harsh slap to your ass before squeezing the tender flesh in an attempt to keep you from moving. "Don't you want my pups, baby? Then quit moving."
"Oh my God, you're so fucking tight. So warm. God, don't ever wanna pull outta this pretty pussy."
"Where are you going?" He'll chuckle, grabbing onto your hips to drag you back to him when you try to crawl away for a small break between fuckings. "I'm not done with you yet."
"Fuck, might break you open. Split your pussy apart with my knot. Think you can take it? Yeah? Well you're gonna."

Have to have her
Mafia Au! This will probably be a two parter, and the next part will be kind of dark
Oh my look at him 🥰
Masterlist
Max Verstappen was a powerful man
It was all due to the way his father raised him
When he wanted something, he got it
At first, it was an old Formula One car
One of those relics that gets hung on the wall
And then he wanted to sponsor a team, using his fathers only legit business
And then he wanted his own house just outside of Monaco
(That was where his father drew the line. If Max wanted a house in Monaco, he was going to have to earn it. For the time being, he could have an apartment)
For a while, Max was somewhat happy with everything he had
He had his apartment, his F1 car relic and enough money to do whatever he wanted
And what did Max want?
Well, for a while, he wanted nothing
He had it all
He even had his own inner circle to help him do his business
Which was less than legal, by the way
Drugs, guns and more criminal activity
Max was born into it
And them, he laid his eyes on Y/N
Max was simply driving around the streets of Monaco, stopped at a red light, when he saw her
She was gorgeous, sat outside of a café with her friends
She caught Max's eyes and he caught hers
When the light turned green and he drove away, Y/N thought that was it, but Max knew better
The next time they saw each other, they were in the club
Rather, Y/N was in the club and Max had his men report her every move to him
Next thing Max knew he was sitting in a both in the club, an expensive bottle of vodka in front of him
The it was a game
In his expensive suit, with his expensive alcohol, he was hard to miss
Many girls came up to him, but not the one Max wanted
She was too busy dancing with her friends
He was sat there for maybe an hour before he got impatient and gave up
So then he walked over to her
"Hey!" He shouted over the music
But Y/N couldn't hear him
She looked at him with a grin on her face and wrapped her arms around his neck
They were kissing
And then Max had his tongue down her throat
And then they were getting into his car and driving back to his house
His impressive, well guarded house
Not that Y/N noticed
She couldn't stop staring at Max
If he wasn't driving, she would have been in the back with him, tearing off his clothes
It didn't take long for just that to happen
Max parked his car in front of the apartment complex and led Y/N up the stairs
As soon as Max and Y/N were in the elevator, somebody came and moved his car for him
They didn't make it to his bedroom
As they walked past the sofa Y/N pushed him onto it
She climbed into his lap moments later and began unbuttoning his shirt
Max's hands started on her hips, but they soon moved down, holding her ass
Eventually they made it up to the bed
Not before fucking on the couch
And then against the kitchen counter
And then Max carried her up stairs
Her arms were around his shoulders as she sucked dark bruises into his neck
Her legs were wrapped around his waist
Max was still holding her ass as he carried her
The next morning, Y/N woke up with a pounding headache
Waking up, hungover, in somebody else's bed wasn't ideal
Other than her, the bed was empty
Whoever had brought her home the night before was nowhere to be seen
Slight panic set it
When the bedroom door opened, Y/N shut her eyes and rolled away, pretending to still be asleep
Whoever came in left something on the table beside her bed and walked away, muttering under his breath
When Y/N rolled towards the table, she saw a Red Bull Racing mug
Inside there was tea
When Y/N sat up, she realised she was naked, but that didn't come as a surprise
She kept the blankets against her chest and picked up the tea
Sipping, she looked around the room
It was grand, impressive
The bed was huge, bigger than a king
The television mounted on the wall looked as though it belonged in a cinema
Relics from old Formula One grand prix were displayed throughout the rest of the room
How rich do you have to be to afford stuff like this?
The door swung open again and the handsome man from last night walked in
"Good morning," he said to Y/N
"Morning," she croaked back, placing the mug on the table beside her
There was an uncomfortable moment where they realised they had never formally introduced themselves
It had been a lot of kissing, a lot of making out and then a lot of fucking
"I'm Y/N," she went to say as Max began introducing himself
"Well, I've got work to do. Feel free to watch television or something," he said and stood up
Before Max could leave, Y/N called his attention once again
"Do you think I could borrow a shirt?"
While Max worked, Y/N watched television
She didn't know what else to do, didn't know how to get home from here
So, the only thing she could do was stay were she was
And then she got bored
And hungry
And thirsty
Dressed in one of Max's shirts and sweatpants, Y/N made her way out of the room
She got one step out of the door before she was stopped
"Uh, Max said you have to stay here."
Tanned, tattoos and dark hair
He was gorgeous
But he was no Max
"Oh," Y/N said and went back inside of the room
Because, really, what else was she supposed to do
It was a full eight hours from the moment Y/N woke up until Max took her home
They talked on the drive, getting to know each other after such an intense night
"Do you think we'd be able to do this again?" He asked as Y/N climbed out of the car
To Max, this was intentional, methodically planned out
To Y/N, this was a random one night stand
She gave Max a look, an apologetic one
Oh, he didn't like that
Max drove off, pedal all the way down, speeding through the streets of Monaco
His knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel
He would have her, he had to have her
Max Verstappen didn't take no for an answer
Well, what can I say?
When he wanted something, he got it
And he wanted Y/N

Plagas!Leon Sub Headcanons:
Warnings: SMUT, MDNI, SUB! Leon, DOM! Reader, (Leon acts a bit like a switch but it's not his fault)
Thank you to @hopelessbren for letting me waffle about this lmao
You had noticed he was off ever since he came back from Spain, your relationship was fresh by a few months after having met in the coffee shop as he adjusted back into the normal world after so many years of training.
At first, he wasn't expecting to become the sub in the relationship, but he guessed after so many years of neglect he was bound to become a touch-starved man.
Your home offered him a safe space, one he was desperate to return to when he was away on missions.
So when he came home his clingy behaviour wasn't unusual, his arms linked round your waist as you cooked for him. Cuddling on the sofa. Koala hugging in bed, trapping you to the point were you struggled to breath.
However whilst his cock was buried in you his grip was bruising.
The night had started with you on top, bringing him to a whimpering mess underneath him.
That was until the black started to flow along his veins, the sight startled you at first.
His grip kept getting tighter, you attempted to slap him lightly to bring his attention back to you attempting to remind him of your control but it was no luck.
Apologies started to spew from his mouth as tears collected at his eyes, he didn't want to be a bad boy, he didn't want to hurt you.
He flipped you both over, spinning you onto all fours as he practically mounted you. His cock driving into you with insane force.
You watched as his hands came out in front of you, the black almost taking over his hands...what was happening to him?
Apologies still spewed from his mouth as he whimpered, begging you to let him finish inside
You could hear his pained grunts as you tried to push him back so you could at least spin around and look at him...but it was no luck he just let out an animalistic growl and pushed you down, arching your back further.
He didn't want to hurt you, you could feel his wet tears drip down your spine...how could you be so mad at him when he felt so good.
His cock was so deep and thick inside your walls, almost like whatever was going on with him was making him swell.
"Leon-Baby" you tried to sputter out..but it was no use, he was a babbling mess above you. Crying over how rough he was being.

You are Safe - Deepest Desires
//One shot of Deepest Desires - Astarion Drabble. Very fluffy/comforting smut with many feelings. Not edited... Song Rec: Light by Sleeping at Last//
Explicit, Astarion x f!Tav, post cannon, 2.2k
cw: coping with sex/intimacy issues & allusions to Astarion's past
Astarion Ancunin was a sight to behold in any light.
The moon might make him look like some ethereally wicked beauty, but Tav much preferred the golden glow they were bathed in now.
She sank into the plush leather sofa near the crackling hearth, cradling a cup of mulled wine. The spiced aroma chased away the chill of the night fallen outside the inn as her eyes drew lazily over the trophies adoring the walls—swords, shields, mounted heads of beasts. Theirs was just another story to add to the collection.
Tav might be warmer still, without the vampire stretched out languidly beside her, but she would not give up the comfort of his closeness for the world.
“You know, I still don’t like being the hero. It is beyond tedium. ”
Astarion mused over the rim of his cup, as if he could detect her thoughts and had to refute them.
“That so? You play the part so well.” Tav quipped back lovingly.
“Well, I suppose I do enjoy all of the fawning adulation.” Astarion mused. “And the gold, of course.”
Tav shook her head fondly. She’d let him maintain the charade as long as he liked; she had already seen under the mask. He sent a smirk her way, his ruby eyes glinting with the firelight. Distracting her from the way he was balancing his goblet on its very edge, one of his dexterous fingers on lip of the drink, tilting further and further as if he dared the wine inside to spill.
Or he was simply teasing Tav with the threat of it.
“Beggin’ your pardon,” The inn keeper, a matronly half-orc with a smile around her tusks approached them. “Finest room we have is ready for ya, token of our gratitude for dealin’ with our Worg problem.”
“Thank you, Gerda, that’s too kind of you.” Tav said graciously. “We’re happy we could help.”
She shot her companion a glance, but he was intently finishing his wine with only a raise of his eyebrows.
She felt Astarion’s eyes on her as she conversed cordially with the inn keeper, his gaze as tangible as a caress along her cheek. Tav knew the warmth of that look. Little flickering moments of unguarded affection more sincere than any pretty picture his words could paint.
The only recognition Tav gave was the smile at the corner of her lips. Because that was the game they played. Sparing his pride until the rest of the world faded away.
This. This was everything she fought for. These quiet nights brighter than any flames.
…
Soon they retreated to the comfort of their room after a long day. Astarion led her up the stairs, silently twining their fingers together. Tav knew it was another gesture she wasn’t supposed to linger on, but if he kept this up, the dam would burst sooner rather than later.
He pushed the door to their chambers open with an overly theatrical flourish. “Not quite fit for a king…but I suppose it will do.”
Tav rolled her eyes, stepping past him to take in a very comfortable room that was downright luxurious in its details. Plush carpet, dark wood walls, and a canopied bed piled with silken sheets and pillows.
“After sleeping in bedrools on the hard ground,” Tav put her hands on her hips, a smile on her lips with her tone placating him. “I think it will suffice.”
Astarion came up behind her then, his cool breath ghosting over her ear as he murmured. “Then it is a shame you will not have the time to admire the finer details.”
In the second of warning he gave, Tav knew well he could hear every uptick of her heart.
Astarion had her spun around, capturing her mouth in a searing kiss. Tav’s back hit the wall with a soft thud, her lover’s lithe body pinning her in place as he lifted their still entwined hands above her head.
Those clever fingers hand already snuck under the hem of her tunic, drawing lines over the swell of her hip.
“I have all that I need to admire.” Tav arched to the touch with a sigh as she finally exhaled.
“Such flattery.” Astarion’s smirk was downright sinful, sending heat and want curling through her. Those ruby eyes glinted bright in the soft firelight of the room.
Soon, their packs were dropped to the side, shedding the last trappings of battle with the armor and gore already tucked away. Leaving no more barriors between them as passion sparked in the scant space between them. His nibble fingers made quick work of the laces of her tunic, the fabric falling away to expose her collarbones, and her chest.
Tav lifted her chin, playfully offering her neck, knowing how it thrilled him though he would not bite—not just yet. But Astarion would duck his head to draw his teeth teasingly along the colomn of her throat.
She peered over his white curls. “My love, the door is still—” A sharp kick shut the door, and its lever lock clicked into place. “Thank you.”
Astarion’s scoff tingled against her pulse point. He was far more preoccupied with mapping out the newly exposed skin, like it hadn’t been under his lips a thousand times. As if he wasn’t intimately familiar and once again confident with his ability to drive her mad. As if she didn’t know him just as well.
When he pulled back to rid her of her pesky tunic, she used her chance. Tav’s fingers slid into his silky curls, just brushing her thumbs over the tips of his pointed ears.
That got his attention.
Astarion made a low, pleased sound in the back of his throat, finding her mouth again.
The kisses grew more urgent as Astarion pressed Tav back against the wood-paneled wall, her arms around his shoulders as he used his thigh to part hers.
Easy as could be, like they were dancing together again. Tav took his lead, her leg hooked around his waist before he had to reach for her. Their bodies were brought flush together--letting her feel the hard press of his arousal.
“It would be a shame,” Tav murmured against the vampire’s lips. “Not to make use of the bed, don’t you think? I know how much you do enjoy fine linens.”
Astarion laughed, the sound decadent yet playful. “My darling, the only thing more appealing than being wrapped up in silk, is being wrapped up in you.”
Heat flooded into her cheeks, just like he knew it would. Even now, his lines always worked on her.
Tav reached for the hem of Astarion’s shirt, ridding him of it and letting it join her tunic on the floor. He was already walking her back towards the bed—but it just wasn’t enough to map out the planes of his chest with her fingers, hooking into the waist of his breaches.
“Can I?” Tav lifted her eyes, her mouth already watering.
“You hardly have to ask.” He purred, pecking her lips just once more. “But…I’m glad that you did.”
She always would. Sometimes to his annoyance, but the vampire seemed more than in the mood to humor her sweetness tonight. Astarion freed his cock from his breeches as he sat back on the bed, stroking himself languidly, watching her with bright ruby eyes as she eagerly sank to her knees.
He was so damn gorgeous like this, confident in seeking his pleasure, knowing Tav was more than willing to give.
Her hand curled around his, before she was drawing the tip of him between her lips. She adored the sweet, strangled sound he gave as he relenquished his hold to her, those deft fingers threading into her hair as she swallowed him down.
Tav loved him like this. Loved that she was the one who got to see Astarion this way—wanting and vulnerable and utterly hers.
She poured every ounce of devotion into the slide of her mouth, wanting him to shatter from it. For all pretense to fall away like the filthy praise faltering from his lips, and let her catch him when he fell.
Astarion tensed under her, the muscles in his thighs and the hand in her hair gone ridgid.
Tav pulled back, her eyes seeking his, looking for the glassy sheen to cover his red irises or the distance in his gaze. “You can let go, love.” lacing the reassurance his ego sometimes spurned in a seductive purr. “I want you to.”
Astarion’s scoff was breathier than he intended, she could see it on his face, but the hand in her hair curled around her chin, capturing her jaw as he bent to claim her lips.
“As tempting as that mouth of yours may be…I’d much rather be inside you.”
Her pulse quickened under his hold.
Tav was on her feet, ridding herself of any thing that could get between them. Before straddling Astarion’s lap. Reveling in his groan as he tasted himself on her tongue.
Those damned fingers of his were already delving between her soaked folds, thumbing her clit so perfectly it was maddening in an instant.
“Astarion, please…” Tav breathed against his mouth.
“I know darling.” His grin nipped at her lower lip, fingers sliding into her and curling just so. “No one knows you as I do.”
He was distracting her, and he was so very, very good at it. Tav rocked needily into him, pleasure sparking up her spine. Her fingers clutched into the fine curls at the back of his neck. Trying to ground herself to meet his burning gaze.
“No one loves you as I do.”
Something beautifully yearning moved across his face. The ghost of a longing to be known—and to still be loved. It was all he could never bring himself to ask for, and yet she gave it, freely, whenever she thought he may need it.
The next meeting of their lips was filled with nothing but tenderness, even as he pulled her closer still, breaking only as he filled her completely.
Astarion’s grip tightened on her hips, and Tav understood.
She let him bear her back onto the plush bed, surrendering to his need for control. Her hands fell back to either side of the pillow, as she searched the ethereal beauty of his face above her, assuring herself that he wasn’t lost to the old shadows.
Clear crimson eyes gazed back at her, their only darkness that of desire.
Satisfied, Tav wrapped her legs around Astarion’s waist, urging him deeper inside her. He obliged her with a precise roll of his hips that nearly had stars bursting behind her eyelids.
“That’s it, my love.” Astarion purred, his breath played over her lips as his body moved with hers, sweet and aching, their fingers wound together even as he kept her wrists pinned.
Tav could feel the edge of her bliss tugging at her, the way she clenched desperately around his cock, it was so damn close—
Astarion shuddered above her, tensing on instinct, resisting that final surrender, even now. His old wounds would never go fully away, but she could soothe them when they surfaced. Because she knew him.
“Let go, my love, I have you.”
He did, spilling into her with a choked cry, his hips snapping hard and fast into hers, sending pleasure that arched up her spine until it overwhelmed her.
Spent, still tangled together, collapsed together.
Astarion’s cool skin was a balm against her heated body, when he finally released her hands. Tav’s arms wrapped around him, feeling the faintest of trembling in the raw moments after. He hid his face crook of her shoulder, letting her fingers slide through his curls.
Tav shifted only enough to bare her throat to him, remembering how he teased that she tasted better shortly after their coupling.
Far from a distraction, it was a gesture of the intimate trsut they shared. Astarion only hesitated a moment, before sharp fangs pierced her skin, and Tav relaxed into the familiar heat and sting.
He drank from her, lost in the bliss of her blood. Comforted by the familiarity of it.
When the vampire pulled back, a trickle of red dripped from his grin, and Tav swiped it away with her thumb.
Astarion turned his face into her touch, a kiss pressed into her palm. Before he gathered her into his arms for the rest of the night.
…
Golden sunlight crept across the room as dark became day.
Astarion stayed with his head tucked under Tav’s chin, her heart beat a comforting rhythm against his ear. He stirred only as the warm glow softened his sharp features, and she finally gave in to the urge to trace the contours of his face.
Astarion’s eyes fluttered open, immediately seeking hers. A lazy smirk tugged at his lips as he lifted a hand to caress her cheek in turn, the warmth of the Ring of Daylight around his fourth finger a delicious contrast to his cool skin.
“Looking for a cuddle?” he asked, his tone playful yet tender, echoing their first morning together.
Tav laughed softly, leaning into his touch. “Always,” she replied, her heart swelling with love for this man who had come so far, who had learned to trust and to love despite everything he’d endured.
Their fingers intertwined with the comforting sound of his ring meeting hers. Warmed by the golden light forevermore.

cherry - subtle body - r. jerimovich
pairing(s): richie jerimovich x f!reader
warning(s): language, age-gap
song: baby boy by childish gambino
4:15AM. Richie was the first to wake up, following the fast-paced events that had taken place the night prior - and he would be lying, if he said that he didn’t love it. The shrill of his alarm was enough to cause you to stir, but not enough to wake you as he carefully reached over you, silencing the alarm before taking a moment to soak it all in, to soak you all in. He gently pulled his arm out from under you, pressing a kiss to the top of your hair, before standing from the bed. Richie didn’t want to leave you, but he had to - he’d promised his daughter, the absolute apple of his eye, that he would take her to school, before he had to leave for work.
Running his calloused hand over his face with a huff, Richie collected his slacks from the floor, sliding them up his legs, without buttoning them. Picking up his dress-shirt that laid beside your vanity, Richie looked over to you, watching the soft rise and fall of your chest as you peacefully slept. It took everything in Richie to not crawl back into your bed and hold you in his arms, yet he remained resilient as he buttoned the cuffs of the shirt, proceeding to button up the shirt.
Smoothing a hand down against his short hair, Richie scanned the environment of your room, should he write you a note? Deciding against it, Richie walked towards the bed, leaning down to kiss the side of your head, before grabbing his phone.
Now making his way to your bathroom, Richie opened the cabinet underneath the sink, searching for a spare toothbrush, toothpaste, anything he could use to freshen his breath. Coming up unsuccessful, Richie pulled at the mirror that was mounted on your wall, the prescribed-pill bottle that sat on one of the shelves catching his eye. Sure, he was prescribed medication for the demons that dwelled in his mind, but knowing that they plagued your mind too caused an ache in his chest. Shaking away the thoughts, Richie’s eyes fell on the travel-sized bottle of mouth wash that sat on the center shelf.
Thank fuckin’ god.
Using over half of the bottle, Richie poured the blue liquid into his mouth, throwing his head back with a gargle, before spitting into the sink, briefly allowing a quick stream of water to wash away the remaining mouthwash that lingered against the porcelain bowl of the sink. Closing the mirror, Richie took a quick glance over of himself.
Craning his neck to the side, Richie exhaled through his nose as he looked at the three scratches that tainted his skin, courtesy of your nails, “fuck,” he groaned, running his hand over the wounds before exiting the bathroom.
Making his way to the living room, Richie snatched his leather jacket off of the arm of your sofa, sliding his arms through in a fluid motion, before he exited your apartment, making sure to shut your front door softly, not wanting to wake you.
Once in the hallway, Richie unlocked his phone, typing a quick text message to you as he awaited the elevator.
taking the kid 2 school. call me when ur awake
dinner on me tonight
-
Richie loved spending time with his little girl, the mere two hours they’d spend together whenever he’d take her to school, never truly fulfilling him. It always seemed as though he’d have little Eva singing her heart out one minute, then, pulling up alone to the back parking lot of The Bear. It was now 7:32AM as Richie’s phone rang.
The sight of your name flashing across his phone screen caused Richie to clear his throat, before accepting the call and bringing the phone to his ear, “Hi, sweetheart,” he speaks, a hint of excitement now apparent in his usually stoic voice.
You turnover, the sound of your shuffling now heard over the other side of the phone, “Hi,” you rasped, your voice laced with sleep, “I miss you,” you added.
Fuck, Richie leaned his head back against the headrest of his driver’s seat as his eyes closed for a second, he was so fucking into you, it hurt.
“I know, pretty girl, I, uh,” he forced out a breathy chuckle, “I miss you too.”
“You owe me dinner,”you teased playfully, your laughing echoing through the phone, “and a proper sleepover.”
Richie rubbed his fingers over his eyebrows, a goofy grin playing on his lips, “I owe you a new mouthwash too,” he chuckled.
“Oh,” you questioned, “then I’ll have to get an extra toothbrush for when you stay the night,” you commented, more so to yourself than to Richie.
Richie stilled, a silence falling over his car as he took a breath. You made him nervous - I mean, fuck, it usually took months, for some even years, to witness Richie’s softer side, yet here you were, knowing him for not even a fraction of that, making him blush and plan cutesy sleepover dates. Shit, the last time Richie had his own toothbrush for overnight stays was at his ex-wife’s house.
Richie remained caught up in his trailing thoughts, until your voice cut in, “You still there?” You asked, your voice now pitched higher with worry.
“Shit, sorry baby, uh yeah,” Richie blinked, “yeah, we should definitely have an extra toothbrush - I’ll have to get you one at my place,” he breathed out.
Noticing your silence, Richie decided to take hold of the conversation, “Listen, m’gonna come get you around six? I got us a table at this fuckin’ place downtown, it’s uh, real fancy.”
The sound of the faucet running can be heard on your end, followed by soft brushing, “Y’brushing your teeth over there?” Richie asked.
“Yes, I have class at eleven,” you answered, your words muffled from the toothbrush that sat between your teeth.
“Shit, which class is that?” Richie asked.
Water can be heard hitting the sink, “Film, thankfully,” you sighed, “it’s my favorite.”
Richie knew you were a film major, you wanted to write scripts. If you weren’t on the phone with him, or doing assignments, you were usually studying watching a movie. You’d watched movies intently, paying attention to every minor detail, always anxious to see if it would be referenced in the future.
It made Richie proud, knowing that his girl was going for her education, and was excited to use it. You’d be graduating from college in a few months, Richie grew excited at the thought of you donning your degree, looking beautiful as ever in a cap and gown.
“I know, baby,” he muttered, “you’re so fuckin’ smart.”
“Thank you, Richie,” you blushed, “um, I really enjoyed last night, by the way,” you added, the screech of the faucet stopping filling Richie’s ears.
The scratches on Richie’s neck grew warm, a smirk tugging at his lips as he recalled the feeling of your nails digging into his skin, “So did I- I got the scratches on my neck to prove it,” he teased, chuckling as you gasped.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know-” you began to panic.
“Don’t worry about it, sweetheart,” he spoke, “it’ll give the guys something to talk about at work.”
Richie was being a cocky fuck. He loved that he could indirectly show you off with the scratches on his neck, wanting to hold off on introducing you to his family coworkers, until things were steady between you two.
“Alright, well I gotta start heading in, okay?” He sighed.
“Okay, have a good day at work, Richie,” you beamed.
“Thank you, sweetheart - I’ll see you at six.”
“See you at six.”
-
Richie made his way through the main dining room and kitchen, mentally taking note of any upstanding flaws that needed to be corrected prior to opening. This usually took him anywhere around one to two hours, depending on how meticulous he’d decided he needed to be that day.
“Richie, good morning, papa!” Tina greeted, her signature wide grin on full display as she approached Richie.
“What’s goin’ on, T?” He responded, pulling the woman in for a kiss to her cheek.
Tina cocked her head to the side, “Woah, what the fuck happened to you,” she questioned, reached her hand towards the scratches that peeked out from beneath the collar of Richie’s dress-shirt.
Richie smiled, softly pulling away from Tina, “S’nothing, uh, how was the drive here this morning,” he attempted to deflect, refusing to make eye contact with the woman in front of him.
Tina scoffed, “I’ll tell you all about my drive in, when you tell me about those marks on your neck.”
Richie shoved his hands into his pockets, with a huff. Richie considered Tina to be a confidant of his, the older woman being one of the closes people to him, due to their years of friendship and history.
So, naturally, he caved, “Just a girl I’ve been seeing recently, y’know?”
Tina nodded, her eyebrows raised, “Ah, and what is this “girl” like?”
“She’s beautiful, I mean, T, she’s a fuckin’ knockout,” Richie rambled, “she’s Puerto Rican-”
Tina gasped, nudging Richie’s arm, “A latina? Look at you, Richie.”
“Yeah, she’s got a good head on her shoulders, she’s good, y’know?” Richie praised, shyly bringing his gaze to Tina as she cradled the side of his face.
“I’m happy for you.”
-
The hours of the day came and went as Richie found himself leaned against the hood of his car as he waited for you to come downstairs. He was thankful to have gotten out of work early enough to make a quick pit stop at his apartment to shower and brush his teeth, not wanting to take you out without being the most pristine and prepared version of himself. He’d even made sure to bring a small bag of clothes and toiletries in the backseat of his car as a ‘just in-case’.
There was a part of Richie that ached to know how you did, to know how you’d manage to seem as though you had it all together, despite being in the same boat as him. Richie wouldn’t be the one to bring up your inner workings, he’d figured that hed let you come to him, that is, if you ever wanted to even tell him about your internal battles.
The hum of his phone vibrating in his pocket jolted Richie out of his thoughts, “shit,” he muttered.
sorry for taking so long … wanna come up?
Richie nodded to himself, a sigh leaving himelf as he opened the door to the backseat of his car, grabbing ahold of the drawstring bag that sat neatly on the seat. Closing the car door with a huff, Richie add his way into your apartment building, his stomach churning with concern - something was off with you.
You’d been beaming about this date, since Richie first brought it up. Shit, it had been the last thing you’d spoken about, before you fell asleep on his chest last night. I mean, yeah, Richie shared the same sentiment, he’d felt like a teenager going on his first date, again, but it brought a warmth to his chest knowing and seeing first-hand how excited you were.
Now in the main lobby of the building, Richie impatiently slapped the elevator button, blankly staring at the elevator door that had yet to open.
Richie got lost in his own mind as he wracked through what changed within you. Was the age-difference too much for you? Were you having cold feet? Were you going to end things? Did you not want to be seen with him? Fuck, it had only been about two minutes since Richie read your text and he was already driving himself insane with assumptions and differing conclusions. So much so, that Richie didn’t even realize that he’d subconsciously already made his way into the elevator and to the fourth floor.
Richie rushed to your door, softly knocking his knuckles against the heavy door, “S’me, sweetheart!” He called out sweetly.
You were quick to open the door, Richie’s heart sinking to his ankles as you answered the door with tear-soaked eyes, “hi Richie,” you squeaked, your voice broken.
“Hey, hey -what’s going on?” He asked, following you inside your apartment.
You were dressed for tonight’s occasion: a skintight black dress that barely reached your mid-thigh, black pantyhose concealing the skin of your legs. Your hair was curled, flowing down your back loosely as you stood barefoot, turning to face Richie.
You let out a shaky breath of frustration as you walked into Richie’s chest, wrapping your arms around his waist.
Richie knew that he sucked when it came to situations like this. You see, he’d become accustomed to letting his frustrations out with a string of profanities, and a cigarette, and maybe even a fistfight. So, he settled with doing the one thing that he knew he couldn’t manage to fuck up: hold you in his arms and simply listen to what you had to say.
You tried to speak, your words jumbled as you spoke directly into Richie’s chest. Slightly leaning away from you, Richie craned his neck down to get a good look at you, “I can’t hear you when you’re talking straight into me, baby.”
You pulled yourself out of Richie’s arms with a roll of your eyes, you hated letting your guard down, “I just don’t know what I am fucking doing, I mean,” you laughed, “you are a fucking father, y-you were married, and me? I have no idea what the fuck I am doing.”
Richie remained silent, he could tell that this was something that weighed heavy on your conscience. So, he decided to take it all in, only jump in when he felt he had to.
And you continued.
“I’m twenty-three years old, Richie, a-and what if this is fun for you in the beginning, but then you realize that you should be with someone who has it together?” You questioned aloud.
Richie remained silent.
And you continued.
“For fuck’s sake, I can’t even go one day without taking these fucking pills, isn’t that so fucked?” You shake your head with a smile of disbelief.
Richie remained silent - this was killing him.
And so, you continued.
“I just- you should go home, okay? Y-you can go home and forget about me, forget about this, and you can be with someone who can give you what you need-”
Richie could no longer remain silent, so he laughed.
“You don’t even know what the fuck you’re talkin’ about,” he spat with a shrug of his shoulders.
Richie could feel the frustration quickly boiling into anger, a frustrated anger that burned in his chest. He’d thought he made it clear just how much he fuckin’ liked you, yet here he was, feeling as though he was being backed into a corner - forced to defend himself.
”Let me just tell you somethin’, sweetheart,” he began, “If I didn’t want this, I wouldn’t be fuckin’ standing here, listening to you say shit that makes no fuckin’ sense.”
The blue-eyed man decided that he wasn’t done, “You’re not the only fuckin’ person going through shit, I just don’t take the fuckin’ easy way out and run away when shit gets scary, but hey, maybe you’ll learn that when you grow up.”
You froze in place, letting out a scoff.
In the deep part of Richie’s psyche, he knew that he shouldn’t have brought up your age against you, but fuck, everything you were saying was so far from the truth. He was hurt that you’d questioned his motives, so he resorted to his cutting words to try and get through to you.
Wordlessly, you walked away from Richie, in the direction of your bedroom.
“Fuck,” Richie cursed himself as he watched you disappear into the hallway.
-
You left your bedroom door open, grabbing the oversized graphic tee that rested on your vanity, before slipping it over the tight dress that uncomfortably clung to your body, tugging it down your legs by the hem. Kicking the dress to the side, you took hold of the headphones that laid on your bed, placing them on your head, potentially blocking out the noise of Richie leaving your apartment.
But, he never left.
In fact, Richie locked the front door of your apartment, making sure to turn off the lights in your living room, before he made his way towards your bedroom, drawstring bag in hand. Fuck the reservation, fuck the fancy outfits, all Richie could focus on was the fact that he’d hurt his girl.
Richie found you on your bed, seated with your legs crossed, larger headphones on your head as you forced yourself to keep your eyes trained forward.
Standing beside your bed, Richie dropped his bag onto the floor as he gently reached for your headphones, carefully removing them from your head, “Can y’look at me, pretty girl?” He questioned softly, taking a seat at the edge of your bed, his hands folded over his lap.
Your eyes met his, god, he absolutely hated seeing you cry, let alone bring the reason for your tears.
“C’mere,” he beckoned.
You were hesitant, but nevertheless, you had somehow found yourself straddling Richie’s hips, there was no sexual urges behind your decision and Richie loved it. You had every right to be upset with him, yet you sat on him, solely for the sake of needing to be as close to him as possible.
Richie’s hand softly held your face, “Didn’t want to make you cry, baby, I just-” he sighed, trying to find the right words, “I just - you’ve got this shit all wrong.”
You nodded, wanting him to explain - you needed the reassurance.
Richie’s lips softly pecked yours, before he continued, “I don’t give a fuck if you got your shit together or not - I mean, fuck, baby, I don’t even have my shit in order,” he chuckled.
“But what if you get bored of me?” You mumbled, earning an exaggerated eye roll, coupled with an obnoxious scoff from Richie.
“Not gonna happen, I’d have to be the world’s biggest jagoff if that ever happened,” He dismissed politely, pulling one of your hands that laid interlocked with the other, replacing that hand with his own.
“You don’t think I’m too young? You said that I have to grow u-”
“I was being a fuckin’ asshole, alright?” Richie countered, “Yeah, you’re younger, a lot younger, but you are doing good for yourself, yeah? You’re finishing college, I didn’t even make it in to fuckin’ college.”
Richie’s hands softly grab your face as he leans his forehead against yours, “M’not that great at this, sweetheart, but I want to try, for you,” he coaxed.
“I’m just scared, Richie.” you confessed.
“I’m scared too, just let me- let me take care of you, okay? I promise, m’not going to hurt you, just give me a chance, okay?”
You nodded, “okay.”
The two of you were terrified. This was uncharted territory for the both of you - but you both wanted this to work, you both needed it to work. So, you both sat, Richie holding you closely to his chest as you steadied your breathing to match his.
“I owe you a dinner,” you whispered.
Richie exhaled a short laugh, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. He was falling for you, fast, and what scared him the most was knowing that he’d go to pretty deep lengths, just to make sure that you always knew that.
-
and that’s it for part 4 of cherry, so sorry if this is too long, I really just wanted a part that focus on Richie’s inner-workings and his thoughts, I hope you all enjoyed!

Chapter Eighteen: Of Beaches and Balconies
The small changes in Chan’s behavior make you feel more at ease around him. You choose an in-flight movie to watch together, and he keeps his hand on your thigh the entire time. When you exit the plane, he extends his hand out to you, and you take it. He guides you through the throngs of people in the airport and you feel yourself shifting into autopilot, taking comfort in following his lead. You’re so used to planning and handling everything on your own that him taking the reins is a welcome relief.
He grabs your luggage at baggage claim, hails a taxi and directs the driver to the hotel. He has you sit in the lobby while he checks in and gets the room keys. Watching him at the front desk, you can’t take your eyes off him. There is an air of confidence about him you’ve always admired but it often felt like arrogance, given the way he has treated you. You wonder if you’ll grow to fully appreciate it on this trip.
He returns to you a few minutes later with the keycards and you head to the elevator.
“What’re you thinking? Nap? Food? Exploring?” he asks as the elevator doors close.
They all sound equally appealing.
You retrieve your phone from your back pocket and open the tentative itinerary you made. Chan leans over your shoulder to look at it.
“Of course,” he chuckles.
“I like organization,” you defend yourself.
“I know,” he muses. “Send that to me, so I know what the plan is.”
“I didn’t have anything planned for today, though—we can wing it,” you shrug, tapping on your phone to send him a copy.
The elevator chimes and the doors open to the 15th floor.
“An entire evening living on the wild side? What’s gotten into you, y/n?” he teases, holding his arm out of the elevator to keep the doors open as you exit.
“I can be risky…sometimes.”
“I’ll remember that,” he replies. “Room 1533, should be all the way at the end.”
You walk down the hallway with him following close behind. When you get to the door, he unlocks it with the keycard and pushes it open for you to enter first. You smile as you enter the room, immediately walking down a hallway with dark walls on either side of you. The first door to your right is the bathroom; it’s covered in sparkling, white marble. There are two sinks, and the shower has two separate heads. You continue down the hallway which leads out into the kitchen on your left, with a refrigerator, stove, sink and an island with barstools around out. To the right is the living room with a gray sofa and a large flat screen TV mounted on the wall across from it.
You turn right and cross through the living room, sparing a quick glance at the balcony beyond the open curtains, until you’re on the other side of the room. Two French doors are wide open, leading into the bedroom. You stop abruptly upon looking inside the room. Chan crashes into you from behind. He grabs your waist to steady both of you from toppling over. His eyes follow yours into the bedroom, taking in the sight that made you stop in your tracks. The room is covered in rose petals, across the floor and on the bed in the shape of a heart. In the left corner of the room is a standalone bathtub and it, too, is surrounded by rose petals.
You can just imagine Lee Know cackling.
“That man must have a death wish,” you remark.
“Minho,” Chan says, shaking his head. “We should bring some back with us and dump them on his bed.”
You smile at the thought. “They’ll be dead by then…”
“Even better,” he replies, smacking you on the butt as he steps around you. He sits on the bed, picking up a few of the petals. “We can pretend I planned it. Would that make it any better, being your fiancé and all?”
You really wish he’d stop throwing that word around so casually. As if it doesn’t give your heart a reason to beat and want to die simultaneously.
“It might be a little too romantic for you.”
“Ouch,” he drops the petals from his hands. “That hurts, y/n. I can be romantic.”
You arch an eyebrow as he holds out his hand to you. You place your hand in his and he gently pulls you so you’re standing between his legs.
“You’d like it if I did something like this wouldn’t you?” he looks up at you with a knowing smirk.
You roll your eyes and give his shoulders a shove. He falls back onto the bed, right into the middle of the rose petal heart. Of course you’d like that. But hearing him say it, thinking of him doing something so romantic for the person that will one day be truly and completely his…
No, you can’t allow yourself to dwell on those thoughts.
You climb on top of him on the bed, straddling his waist. You sit up straight with your hands resting on his chest, taking in the sight of him surrounded by the red petals. He looks beautiful, the colors breathing life into his pale complexion and contrasting the dark curls strewn about his head.
You push aside the painful thoughts of the future and focus on the present. You have Chan right now. You’re his, right now. No one else.
“Thank you,” you say, breaking the silence.
“For what?” he asks, placing his hands on your hips.
“For doing a complete 180 today.”
He offers a shrug, “You made some valid points. I chose to come here with you—I have to make sure you have a good time.” He uses his hands on your hips to guide your hips, grinding them against him. “You decide what you wanna do first?”
“Yeah,” you reply, leaning down until your face is centimeters apart from his. “You.”
He smiles in return, bringing a hand up to clasp the back of your neck. He brings you down to peck your lips and in one swift move, rolls you over so he’s on top of you.
“I was hoping you’d say that.” His tone is low as he pulls your legs up so they hook around his waist. He nestles himself between your legs, making himself at home. “Gotta start this vacation off right.”
That first night you don’t venture out far from the hotel. You grab dinner at a nearby restaurant, walk around some of the shops, then return to the room to call it a night. You already feel torn between wanting to see all the things you had planned and staying cooped up in the hotel room with Chan the entire trip. Though, you don’t think he’d object to the latter if you suggested it.
The next day you have an early start in the morning and Chan wakes up without any fuss and gets ready. It makes you smile when you see him come out of the bathroom in comfortable active wear. He must have read through your itinerary and dressed accordingly. You spend the morning on a boat tour along the bay where the guide points out the homes of various celebrities, then out into the Atlantic Ocean. You and Chan are more enraptured by the dolphins you spot, his child-like glee at the sight—look of awe on his face, phone in hand to capture the moment—makes you laugh with pure joy.
You then take a quick taxi ride to Little Havana and walk along the streets. You have lunch at a Cuban café and then stop at an art museum where you take pictures to send to Hyunjin later.
You go out for dinner again and on your way back, the two of you sit for an artist to draw a caricature. Chan laughs when the picture is finally revealed to you and commends the artist for accurately depicting the size of his nose to which you can only shake your head. It’s been drastically enlarged, but you love the picture anyway.
However, you don’t love the fact that you start to question whether or not you’ll be forced to throw it away in a couple months.
Once you’re finally back in the hotel room, you both linger in the kitchen, neither of you wanting to go to bed yet. You’re standing with your back against the island and Chan is seated on a barstool next to you.
“What’s your favorite Christmas memory?” You ask, wanting to talk about anything with him.
“Hmmm,” he hums. The question seems to catch him off guard, as if he had other things on his mind. “When I was twelve, my little sister Hannah begged my parents to spend the holiday on Christmas Island. Have you heard of it?”
You shake your head no.
“It’s just east of Australia—not too far from Indonesia. Anyways, she saw it on a map and thought we’d get our presents faster if we were there.”
“Did you?”
“No,” he chuckles. “And we only got half our presents—whatever was small and convenient enough to pack for the trip. On Christmas Eve, me, Hannah and Luke even tried to stay up all night to try to catch Santa on, but they passed out pretty early.”
“You still believed in Santa at age 12?” You ask, cocking an eyebrow.
“For them, I did,” he replies, and you feel your condescending expression soften.
You try to imagine him as an older brother, keeping the magic of Christmas alive for his siblings. It’s an endearing thought. Your mind then drifts to the fact that he’s not spending Christmas with his family this year. You never asked if he typically went back home or stayed at school for winter break. Now you’re wondering if they’re missing him. And that makes you sad to consider.
Chan stands from the barstool, pulling you out of your thoughts and you immediately feel your body adjust to his movements, uncertain if he’s about to walk away.
He stands in front of you and places his hands on your hips. This change in positioning, the closeness, realigns your thought process to focus on him, here and now. What are siblings, even?
“That year I was almost convinced to believe again.” He grips onto your hips and hoists you up onto the countertop without missing a beat. “After they fell asleep, I could have sworn I heard something on the roof…turned out to be the hotel staff adjusting antennas or something though. Bummer.”
“Have you guys ever gone back?”
“Nah,” he says with a shrug but doesn’t elaborate. “What’s Christmas like with your family—any traditions?”
“My parents never did the whole Santa thing,” you tell him. He gives a nod, showing that he’s listening, but his body seems to have a mind of its own as he starts moving the barstools on either side of you, placing one under each foot. “But for as long as I can remember we’d have breakfast for dinner. Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage…the works. More food than we could ever—”
You pause as he starts to remove your socks. He stops, too, looking up at you and waiting for you to continue. When you resume speaking, he pulls your socks off and tosses them aside.
“We would watch a holiday themed movie—A Christmas Story, Home Alone, The Santa Clause, uhm…” you blink as his hands move to the hem of your shirt and start to lift it over your head.
“And what else?” he asks casually.
“If I could stay up,” you continue as his hands proceed to pull your shirt up and you lift your arms to help, “until midnight, I got to choose one gift under the tree to open.”
He tosses your shirt on the floor with your socks.
“Did you ever make it to midnight?” He asks, hands now focused on pulling down your bottoms. You lift your hips slightly to allow it and he drags them down over your ass.
You momentarily forget to answer as you watch him, transfixed. He gently takes out one leg then the other before letting them join your other clothes on the floor. You’re not sure what’s happening. It baffles you, really. Anyone listening to this conversation wouldn’t assume anything out of the ordinary is taking place. Meanwhile this man now has you in your underwear, legs spread and feet resting on the barstools as he stands between them.
You don’t make any attempt to stop him, though.
“A few times,” you finally reply. “When I did, I always went for the biggest present.”
“Smart girl,” he says, sliding his hands up your legs, then your thighs, until they can’t move any higher. He grips your thighs, letting his eyes fall from yours down your torso until landing between your legs.
He moves his hand to your center as he asks more questions—is Christmas your favorite holiday? What’s the best gift you’ve ever gotten? Do you prefer giving gifts or receiving? All the while rubbing his thumb against your clit, over your underwear. You do your best to answer, but your attempts at speaking become futile. He smiles at this and finally removes your underwear and bra, leaving you naked on the counter while he remains fully clothed.
He abandons his line of questions and focuses instead on making you come with his mouth. He gets no objections from you.
After breakfast, you start the following morning on the beach. The hotel has reserved sections for guests with beach chairs and umbrellas. Chan—already shirtless and tempting—orders you both mimosas. As he’s lying on his own chair with a pair of sunglasses covering his eyes, you stand to remove your cover up, revealing a retro-styled bathing suit—high waisted bottoms and a halter top, tied behind your neck.
When you lay back in your own chair, you become aware of his gaze on you. You look down to make sure you aren’t indecently exposed, but all your bits and pieces are in place.
“How does everything you wear look so good on you?” He asks in an off-handed manner, pulling his sunglasses down to the bridge of his nose.
You blush at the unexpected compliment.
“Maybe you’re just thinking about taking it off?”
He considers your sentiment before nodding in agreement.
“Maybe,” he mutters. “Maybe you don’t understand how sexy you are, y/n.”
He winks at you before sliding the glasses back up and looking out at the ocean. A silence falls over you both as the waiter brings your drinks. You cheers, clinking your glasses together before taking a sip.
“Do you think I’m weak?” you ask him, after a moment.
“Weak?” He repeats, sounding taken aback by your question.
“Like…I’m inferior to you and that’s why you can do and say certain things to me?”
You’re just as surprised as him at your own question. It’s been on your mind a lot lately. Especially given how he had his way with you last night and you just let it happen. Not that you didn’t enjoy it.
“No…” he says after a moment. “I don’t think you’re inferior. Or weak.”
“Is it something you like to do with everyone?” You keep your eyes trained on the water in front of you, not wanting to look at him when he answers.
You don’t even like the way your voice sounds when you ask the question. Like you’re afraid of the answer…or jealous. The intimate things you’ve done with Chan, though, are so different than what you’re used to. You know he’s had, at the very least, three sexual partners before you, but you’re curious if they all bent to his will as easily as you do.
“There are certain things I like, sure—being a little rough, for example, is something I could do with anyone. But most of the shit we’ve done? I don’t know how to explain it…”
You glance over at him, but because of the sunglasses he’s wearing you can’t see his eyes. He seems to be taking his time answering. Choosing his words carefully, perhaps.
“I had an assumption about you,” he eventually continues, “and after our first night together, it confirmed that assumption. So, I pushed further and further, and you were always receptive. Or at least you seemed willing. You still do. Do you not like it?”
There’s a sincerity and openness to his tone you’ve never heard before.
“I do,” you reassure him. “I just never knew if you thought less of me or something…because I always cave and give in to what you want.”
“Quite the opposite,” he replies softly. “I knew you’re very strong-willed. I don’t think you’d just let anyone talk to you the way I have or do the things I’ve done to you. The fact that you allow me to do these things to you, that you willingly relinquish control sometimes is what really gives me pleasure.”
You distract yourself by taking another sip of your mimosa to keep from smiling at his words. You’ve never heard him say such kind things about you. But he’s felt them and seen them, seen you this entire time.
“I think a large part of my willingness has to do with you…” you tell him. “I never thought I’d actually like someone telling me what to do. But you carry yourself with an undeniable amount of confidence…an alpha-male energy, if you will, that gives me an enjoyable kind of fear that I feel like I can be safe in? If that makes sense.”
He nods his head slowly, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
“So, if I told you to take that top off right now…” he trails off.
“You wouldn’t,” you say, looking around at all the people and families—literal children on the beach.
“I wouldn’t,” he agrees. “Not here.”
And there it is. It’s like there has always been an unspoken agreement between the two of you, right from the start. He will push you out of your comfort zone, but there are limitations. Even that day in the park when you thought he was going to have you suck his dick out in the open.
“None of these people are worthy of seeing you in that state,” he adds, and you just roll your eyes.
You spend the next few hours at the beach together. You venture out into the water, but not too far in. You latch yourself onto Chan’s back as he treads through the water, kissing his shoulders, hugging him tight. Happy to be with him freely.
By the time you make it back to the hotel room, it’s nearly 3:00pm. You both have to shower quickly and get ready for the evening plans. You’re in the bathroom, applying the final touches to your makeup when Chan walks in. You see his reflection through the mirror and your jaw drops. He’s clad in black slacks and a black button up shirt—the top few buttons undone as usual, just how you like it. The shirt is tucked in, and a black belt is looped around his slender hips. His hair is parted on the side, dark bangs hanging over the right side of his forehead. His accessories—earrings, necklace, bracelet, and rings are all silver. He looks so fucking handsome. You fight with yourself to not tear every piece of clothing off him immediately.
He smiles at your reaction, giving your outfit a nod of approval as well; it compliments his. The two-piece set is black with tan colored flowers across it. The high waisted skirt, with a mid-thigh slit, hugs your mid-section and flows down your lower half. The top is a cropped spaghetti strap with a plunge v-neck, leaving plenty of cleavage on display.
You toss your lip gloss into your purse before zipping it up and taking a few steps back from the bathroom sink, checking out your own reflection once more.
“You ready?” He asks as he comes to stand behind you. He wraps his arms around your waist and leans down, resting his chin on your shoulder.
You nod your head, but you’re unable to tear your gaze away from the sight in the mirror. You’ve never seen the two of you together like this. You don’t even try to hide the smile that breaks out on your face. You look good together.
He kisses your neck before standing up straight.
“Let’s go.”
Your itinerary for tonight is a tour of the infamous Versace mansion followed by dinner on the premises. It only felt right you’d both be dressed to the nines.
After you get your shoes on and head out of the hotel room, Chan keeps his hand around your waist. In fact, he hardly lets go of you the entire night, except during the meal. If he doesn’t have his arm around your shoulders or waist, he’s holding your hand. It all just makes you so fucking happy and you’re delusional enough at this point to indulge in the façade. You’ve stopped trying to remind yourself that these niceties are just him playing a part.
When you get back from dinner, you and Chan go straight to the dimly lit balcony to enjoy the view and some fresh air. There are two wicker chairs with cushions and a small table between them. It’s dark and so quiet that even the sound of the waves crashing against the shore reach all the way up to where you are. It’s peaceful. Part of you wishes the two of you could stay here forever and never face reality.
“What’re you thinking about?” Chan asks, catching you zoned out.
“Life,” you reply simply with a shrug.
“Yikes,” he responds with a chuckle. “Let’s not do that yet. Come over here.” he says, jerking his head.
You stand from your seat and take a few small steps until you’re standing directly in front of him, between his legs. Your eyes drift down to his chest, exposed by the top buttons he has left undone. You can already feel your pulse quicken in anticipation from the tone he’s using, the way he’s looking at you.
“Do you know what I’ve been thinking about ever since we got here?”
You shake your head.
“Fucking you on this balcony,” he grips the back of your thigh and pulls you closer. He rubs his nose along the exposed skin on your stomach, eyes closed as he breathes in your scent. His hand slides around to the front of your thigh, searching for the slit in your skirt. He trails kisses across your stomach as he finds it and pulls up the thin fabric.
You glance around you, nervous about being out in the open. Your room is on the corner of the hotel, facing the water. There aren’t any adjacent windows where anyone could see. Plus you’re so high up, it’d be difficult for anyone on the ground to make out what you’re up to. But still, it feels risky. Maybe that’s supposed to be the point.
His hand stops moving higher when he reaches the apex of your thighs, fingers dancing along the outside of your underwear. He leans back and tucks the extra fabric of the skirt into your waistband so it’s out of the way, then pulls aside your underwear with his pointer finger.
He licks his lips as the sight of your exposed pussy just inches from his mouth.
“You gonna let me?” he asks, trailing his fingers up your inner thighs with his other hand.
“Yes,” you reply, nodding and unable to take your eyes off him.
He rubs his fingers in circles against your pussy, middle finger pressed against your clit.
“All fucking day I’ve thought about touching you,” he says, watching you closely, to see every little reaction to his touch. “You don’t know how bad I wanted to lift this skirt and fuck you in the taxi on the way to dinner.”
You moan as your hips start moving against his fingers.
“Oh?” He says in response to your movements. “You would have liked that? Me fucking you in the back of the taxi?”
Yes. The thought of him seeing you and being unable to control himself, needing to fuck you wherever you are does something to you.
His fingers momentarily leave your pussy so his other hand can pull down your underwear. You step out of them, and he places them next to him in the chair. His fingers resume their work, his other hand reaches behind you to grip your ass and pull you closer to his face.
“Take out your tits,” he says before placing a kiss above your pussy.
You nervously glance over your shoulder again.
“Hey,” he calls your attention back to him, halting his movements. He waits for you to lock eyes with him. “Trust me.”
Trust me. It sounds more like a request than a demand. You do trust him. You trust him completely to handle your body with care, to not jeopardize either of you. You wish you could trust him with your heart.
With the plunge neck top you’re wearing it’s easier to just reach in and pull them out, rather than taking the top off. You lift them out and they rest on top of the shirt, making them even perkier, nipples erect as soon as the cool night air hits them.
His hand leaves your ass to cup your breast, squeezing it softly, pinching the nipple between his pointer and thumb fingers, rolling it back and forth. You rest your hands on his shoulders, caressing them.
When he suddenly stands, your hands fall to his chest. He grips the back of your neck with his hand, holding your head in place, just staring into your eyes as his other hand keeps rubbing your pussy. You instinctively raise your leg and set your foot on the chair to allow him better access.
“You’re incredible,” he declares before pressing his lips to yours.
Your eyes flutter shut, and you melt against him. At his words, at his touch. You tilt your head upwards as he kisses you, parting your lips to allow his tongue to enter. His tongue glides against yours and you moan into his mouth.
As he withdraws, he captures your bottom lip between his teeth, tugging on it lightly. He removes both of his hands from you, places a quick peck on your lips then walks over to the railing of the balcony. You’re left standing there, panting and exposed. He turns around, leans his back against the railing, then beckons you to him. You timidly place a hand over your breasts as you walk to him, covering yourself. He arches an eyebrow and as soon as you’re close enough, he lowers your hand.
“I told you about that,” he scolds you. “Don’t hide from me.”
He hooks a finger into the fabric of your top, right at the cleavage, and uses it to bring you the rest of the way to him, until you’re pulled flush against him.
It’s only the third day of your trip but you’ve already come to realize he’s capable of fucking you in many ways. He has not used his authoritative tone with you until tonight. He slips back into his commanding role with ease, and you submit without question. But now you can see more of him through it. The conversations you’ve had have shown a different side to him. You were physically attracted to him before, obviously. But now you see more of Chan through his behavior. And you’re growing more attracted to him. For who he is and not just the way he makes you feel when he fucks you.
You begin to lower yourself to your knees, wanting to take him in your mouth, but he stops you and spins you around. He switches positions with you so your ribs are pressed against the railing, exposed tits hanging out for anyone looking to see. Which, you pray, is no one. He lifts your skirt again, scrunching it together with one hand at the small of your back.
You hear him unbuckle his pants and push them down. You lick your lips in anticipation, hips moving of their own accord as you stare out at the darkened ocean in front of you. You would have never imagined yourself doing something like this just a few months ago.
Your attention snaps back to Chan as you feel his cock rubbing against your opening. He lets out a soft groan from behind you as you arch your back, pushing your ass out towards him.
“Fuck, y/n,” he says, still teasing your opening. “You want it bad, don’t you?”
You turn to look at him over your shoulder, first glancing down at his cock rubbing against you, then up to his face.
“You know I do,” is your soft reply.
He slaps his palm down onto your ass and grips it, causing you to whimper and moan.
“My girl always fucking wants it.”
You bite your lip and turn back around to face the endless horizon in front of you. To focus on that instead of the words he’s just said.
My girl.
He thrusts into you, and you shut your eyes, dropping your head. You want to focus on fucking him and not that phrase. Quite possibly the most beautiful phrase in the English language when falling from his lips.
My girl.
His other hand tangles itself in your hair, pulling your head back as he rams into you.
My. Girl.
Your eyes snap open but you’re no longer seeing anything, no longer thinking anything. You are nothing but his girl right now. You grip the railing and force your hips back against him, fucking him hard and fast until he comes.
“Oh fuck, fuck,” he groans.
Neither of you expected it to happen so quickly. It honestly feels like an achievement, knowing how long he can hold out when he wants to.
He leans onto you, chin resting on your shoulder as you both catch your breath.
“Chan,” you say, leaning to the side and turning your head to look at him. “Get me off this fucking balcony.”
He laughs and nods. He slowly withdraws his cock from inside you and pulls his boxers and pants back up without buttoning them. In one fell swoop he scoops you up into his arms—one hand on your back, the other under your knees. He carries you back inside and sits you down on the couch.
“Wait here,” he tells you.
He heads off into the bedroom and you hear the sound of running water. You rest your head on the back of the couch and stare up at the ceiling. You can’t deny how fun, exciting, exhilarating that was but you’re glad to be back inside where no one can see.
Chan returns a few minutes later in just a shirt and his boxers. He offers his hand out to you, which you take, then guides you into the bedroom. The main lights are off, but the one above the bathtub in the room is on. The water is still running, but the tub is already halfway full.
He brings you to a stop at the side of the tub and silently undresses you, kissing your skin as it’s exposed. He then picks you up again and places you into the bathtub and you immediately relax in its warmth—it’s the perfect temperature.
He remains outside of the tub, seated on one of the stools next to it. He reaches across you to turn the water off and for some reason you find it hard to look at him. This sort of treatment, from him, is new to you. He brings your hand to his mouth, kissing from your knuckles up your arm.
“I can’t stop touching you…and I think it could be a problem,” he says, smiling.
“Then don’t,” you say, with all the seriousness you can muster.
He proceeds to run his hand across your body until he finds your pussy again, beneath the water. He slips his fingers inside of you, fucking you and working your clit to bring you to an orgasm.
“Chan,” you pant as you feel it approach.
You reach your hand out of the tub, grabbing the collar of his shirt. You pull on it with all your might and his expression turns to one of surprise as you pull him up and over into the bathtub with you. He doesn’t let this distract him too long though, he adjusts himself on his knees, his thighs keeping your legs apart and pushed against the side of the tub. His fingers keep thrusting into you, thumb circling your clit. Your hands find their way to his hair and pull his mouth against yours as you come.
Your hips rock against his fingers while you pant and moan through your release. He removes his fingers and looks down at himself—soaked shirt and boxers.
You start to laugh at the sight, and he joins you.
“I’m not even sorry,” you say.
You reach your hands out to unbutton his wet shirt and toss it onto the floor. He removes his boxers and repositions both of you, so his back is against the tub, and your back is pressed against his chest. You lean your head back against him, eyes shut.
You don’t know how long the two of you stay in the tub, but once the water starts to get cold, Chan lets some of it out then runs more warm water in. He grabs your body wash from outside the tub and you both wash up with it. There’s only one towel near the tub, so he steps out to grab it and offers it to you. You look up at his dripping figure, wondering how you got here but not wanting to question it too deeply.
When you’re both dry and in clean pajamas, you waste no time before hopping into bed to get warm again. He pulls you to him, kissing your bare shoulder.
You don’t say goodnight. You don’t say anything.
You don’t need to.

Don't wanna close my eyes Don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you baby And I don't wanna miss a thing
You hated him! At that moment, you truly hated him. But deep down, you knew the truth: you couldn't sleep without him.
"You're sleeping on the sofa, Mount!" You exclaimed, your voice laced with irritation.
"Come on, Y/n! Seriously?" Mason replied, disbelief evident in his tone. "It wasn't my fault. The girl lost her balance and fell into my lap. It's not like I grabbed her—"
"Stop defending her!" You retorted. "She obviously did it on purpose. She knew I was watching."
You'd been at a birthday party of a family member when the girl you despised since childhood had made a scene, falling into Mason's lap just to piss you off. Your boyfriend, ever the gentleman, had played along, making it seem like everything was fine.
"It was just an incident, it wasn't a make-out session." He shouted as you stormed into the bedroom.
Grabbing his pillow and a blanket from the wardrobe. "Here!" You said, throwing them at Mason, who was sitting on the sofa. "Have a nice night." You said sarcastically, walking away. Mason let out a sigh as he heard you slamming the bedroom door.
An hour or two passed, but you were still awake, tossing and turning, feeling the emptiness beside you. Alone in the bed, staring at the ceiling, you knew you'd exaggerated. Vanessa had always been annoying, but you'd let your jealousy get the better of you.
With a groan, you sat up. You had no problem sleeping alone when he was away, but sleeping alone when he was so close was torture.
Getting out of bed, you walked out into the dark living room. The moonlight filtering through the windows provided the only light.
In the living room, you saw Mason sleeping soundly. Your first instinct was to grab a pillow and hit him, but you resisted the urge. How could he sleep so peacefully without you?
Gathering your courage, you shook his shoulder gently. "Mason?" He mumbled, his voice thick with sleep. "Mase?
"What?" He whined, his voice filled with sleeplessness. He didn't open his eyes.
"Come back to bed!" You said, your voice barely a whisper.
He groaned and shifted, trying to get comfortable. You started walking away, but Mason grabbed your wrist, pulling you back.
Without hesitation, you lay down next to him on the sofa, instantly relaxing as his warmth enveloped you. Mason quickly put his arm around you, his face nuzzling into your hair. Within minutes, you were fast asleep.
You opened your eyes as you felt Ace jumping from the bed. You had left the door slightly open, and with the help of his keen nose, he'd pulled it open and escaped, leaving you alone staring at the ceiling.
The memory left you mute. Each memory felt like reliving it without actually controlling your body, like watching a movie from the inside of the main character. It was a bizarre and unsettling sensation.
Letting out a sigh, you got out of bed. It was still early, but sleep was out of the question. You left the room barefoot, yawning as you walked. You could hear Mason's soft voice, talking to Ace, and without realizing it, you smiled.
He was sitting on the sofa, writing something on paper. Ace, ever the playful pup, was trying to bite his hand playfully.
"Ace, stop it!" Mason exclaimed, laughing at the silly young dog. "Dude, I'm trying to leave a note. Let me write."
You leaned against the wall, watching them, but the dog quickly caught your presence. Ace's ears perked up, his tail wagging excitedly as he bounded towards you. Mason turned, a smile spreading across his face.
"Morning!" He said, his voice warm and welcoming. He was already dressed, ready for the day.
"Hi, Mason!" You replied, returning his smile. "Morning."
As Mason's gaze briefly lingered on your legs, a blush crept onto your cheeks as you realised you were in your oversized t-shirt and panties. You self-consciously tugged at the hem of your shirt, pulling it down.
"Are you leaving already?" You asked, changing the subject.
"Yep!" Mason confirmed. "Training starts in twenty minutes."
"Sleep well?"
"Best I've had since your accident." He replied, his eyes holding a hint of affection.
You nodded, a warm feeling spreading through you. It seemed that having Mason back home had a calming effect on you both.
Ace sat down at your feet, watching you and Mason with curious eyes, sensing the awkwardness.
"I made coffee!" Mason announced, gesturing towards the kitchen.
"You didn't have to."
"I know. But you don't know how to make coffee." Mason said with a playful grin on his face. You opened your mouth, pretending to be offended.
"Rude! Weren't you supposed to be nice? And supportive?"
Mason chuckled. "Sorry!"
You rolled your eyes playfully, hiding your smile. "Want to have breakfast with me?"
Mason's eyes widened, and he bit his lip. "I can't! I'm already running late." He glanced at his phone, then paused, a hopeful look in his eyes. "But… can I take you out tonight? A date?"
A blush crept onto your cheeks as a warm wave of excitement washed over you. "Tonight?"
"If you're busy, we can—"
You shook your head quickly. "I'd love that."
Mason's eyes lit up. "Tonight's good?" You nodded, a grin spreading across your face. "I'll pick you up at 7 pm!"
"Okay!"
You clenched your teeth, your voice rising. "You're a pig, Mount!"
"And you're a spoiled brat!"
You were in Ben's house, having dinner when your casual and usual banter escalated into a heated argument after Mason made a stupid comment about a girl he had slept with.
"Would you like someone to say that about your sisters?" You demanded, crossing your arms over your chest.
"What did I say?" He protested, his voice laced with frustration. "You're twisting my words."
"Yeah, right!" You said sarcastically. "Because she'd love to hear what you said about the night you spent with her."
Mason let out a sarcastic chuckle. "Y/n!" He said, his voice low and dangerous as he stepped closer. "If you're jealous, just admit it."
"You disgust me." You spat, your eyes filled with anger.
"The feeling is mutual." He replied, his voice cold.
Mason strolled onto the green pitch, a wide grin on his face. While he was always a cheerful guy, his teammates could sense that something extra special was going on. Bruno, noticing the twinkle in his eye, couldn't resist asking.
"What put you in such a good mood today?" The Portuguese player asked.
Mason chuckled. "Just the usual. Happy to be playing football."
Bruno raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, but there's something else."
A mischievous glint appeared in Mason's eyes. "I'm taking Y/n out on a date tonight."
His teammates erupted in cheers and whistles, their excitement infectious. Lisandro wrapped an arm around Mason's shoulder and ruffled his hair playfully. "So, what's the plan, Romeo?" He teased.
Mason grinned, a touch of pink colouring his cheeks. "I'm not sure yet. I want to make it special."
Lisandro nodded approvingly. "Need any help planning? We're all here for you, mate."
"Yeah." Bruno agreed.
Mason chuckled. "Thanks, guys. I'll keep that in mind."
You closed the door as quickly as you had opened it, but Mason's foot was stuck in the gap, preventing it from closing completely.
"I just want to talk!" He said, his voice low and insistent.
"I don't want to talk to you. Go away." You replied, pushing against the door.
Mason shifted his foot, allowing the door to swing open slightly. He then placed his hand against it, blocking your attempt to close it. "I want to apologize."
"You already sent a message. Now go." You snapped, your patience wearing thin.
Mason let out a frustrated sigh. With a forceful push, he opened the door wider, causing you to stumble backwards.
You rolled your eyes, heading into the kitchen where you'd been preparing dinner. Mason followed, closing the door behind him. Your house was cosy, filled with the comforting scent of vanilla.
"Can you please stop for a second and hear me out?" He pleaded.
You stabbed the knife into the wooden cutting board. "What do you want, Mount?"
"We need to talk about it and you know it."
"No, we don't." You disagreed, your heart pounding in your chest. You couldn't help but glance at his lips, a forbidden memory flashing through your mind.
"You kissed me back!" He said. Your hand instinctively went to your neck, the sensation of his lips lingering there. "If you didn't want it, you would have pushed me away."
"We were drunk!"
Mason furrowed his eyebrows. "No, we weren't."
"I WAS!" You shouted, your denial fueled by fear and confusion. The only sound in the room was the soft music drifting from another part of the house.
"You're lying." Mason insisted, his voice filled with doubt. The thought that you might have been drunk that night shattered his heart.
He was right, you were lying, but you couldn't bring yourself to admit it. Your relationship with Mason was a mess, exactly as it should be. The idea of having feelings for him was unthinkable. It had to be.
"I was drunk." You repeated, swallowing hard. "Kissing you was the last thing I wanted to do." Your voice trembled as you spoke, your heart breaking slowly, painfully. "We've been fighting since the first day we met. What do you expect? This isn't a fairytale. We're not going to fall in love and live happily ever after."
"Why not try?" Mason asked, his voice filled with hope.
You let out a sarcastic chuckle. "What?"
He walked around the kitchen island and stopped beside you, his presence suddenly making you feel hotter.
Mason took a deep breath. "I don't know what's going on, but every time I see you, I want to kiss you." He looked down at your lips, his eyes filled with a vulnerability you'd never seen before. "That silly bet, when I kissed you, made me realize that maybe there was something there. And the other night when we kissed, it just confirmed it."
You muttered, "Stop it."
"I like you, Y/n!" He confessed his voice barely a whisper.
You stared at him, unsure of how to respond. Part of you wanted to push him away, to deny the feelings that were starting to stir within you. But another part of you was drawn to him, to the intensity of his gaze, the warmth of his touch.
Mason leaned in slowly, his eyes seeking your permission. You felt a flutter in your chest as he drew closer, his breath fanning against your lips. With a trembling breath, you closed your eyes and let him kiss you.
You were rummaging through the fridge, searching for ingredients for lunch, when the doorbell rang. Ace barked and raced towards the door, his tail wagging furiously. You followed him, swinging the door open to find your friend and coworker, Dianne.
"Di!" You exclaimed, your eyes widening in surprise. "What are you doing here?" You pulled her into a warm embrace, missing her presence after her two-week holiday.
"I just arrived." Dianne replied, her smile radiating warmth. "Since it's your day off, I thought it would be a great chance to catch up and introduce you to someone."
You glanced behind her to see a woman petting Ace, who seemed to have taken an immediate liking to her.
"You've grown so much, Ace!" The woman exclaimed, her voice filled with affection. "You're such a good boy."
You furrowed your eyebrows, trying to place her. "Do I know you?"
"We do! Very well, actually." The woman stood up and smiled at you, her eyes sparkling affectionately. "It's nice to met you again, Y/n. I'm Anouska."
Mason sat nervously in the driver's seat, his hands gripping the steering wheel as he parked in front of your parents' house. He glanced over at you, who was calmly looking at the house in front.
"Are you sure about this?" He asked, his voice barely a whisper.
You turned to face him, a reassuring smile on your lips. "Of course I am."
He nodded, but his anxiety didn't subside. He remembered how much they used to hate each other. It seemed almost impossible that they were now in a relationship.
"What if they don't approve?" He asked, his voice filled with doubt.
Y/n squeezed his hand. "They will. They'll see how happy we are together."
Mason chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I guess they've been watching us hate each other for so long, they'll be shocked to see us actually getting along. It's like watching a cat and a mouse suddenly become best friends."
You laughed. "Don't be so dramatic. They'll come around." You grabbed his jaw, forcing him to look at you. "Look at me! I'm with you. You make me happy and you treat me right, and that's exactly the kind of man my parents want me to be with."
Mason looked at you with adorable puppy dog eyes. "I love you, beautiful."
You smiled. "I love you too."
You sat at the restaurant, laughing at the stories Dianne and Anouska were sharing about your times together. It was a really nice get-together, full of laughs and memories.
You learned that Anouska was Luke Shaw's wife, one of Mason's teammates. The realization brought a wave of excitement. You remember Luke since you had always been a football fan.
"I can't believe I know Luke Shaw!" You exclaimed.
Dianne and Anouska chuckled. "Luke's not the only player you know." Dianne replied.
"I know, I know!" You said, a smile spreading across your face.
"He really likes you." Anouska said, making you blush. "He's always saying that you're the best thing that happened to Mason. We had some good times together. When you moved here, we did a bunch of double dates."
"It's a shame I can't remember." You said sadly.
Dianne gave you a reassuring look. "You will! Everything's going to be fine."
"Yes." Anouska agreed. "And we're here to help you in any way we can." Just as Anouska finished speaking, her phone rang. "Sorry, love. It's Luke." She said, answering the call.
While Anouska chatted quietly with Luke on the phone, you asked Dianne about her trip to Spain. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she talked. A contagious smile played on her lips.
As Anouska finished her call with Luke, Dianne and you turned to face her.
"Luke sends a kiss to both of you." Anouska announced, a smile playing on her lips.
"Sweet as always!" Dianne replied.
Anouska placed her phone on the table. "Y/n Y/l/n, when were you going to tell us you're going on a date with Mason?"
Dianne's jaw dropped in surprise. "What? When?"
You bit your lip and played with your earring. "Today!" You whispered, your cheeks blushing.
"Where is he taking you?"
"I don't know. He's picking me up at seven."
"What are we doing here? We need to go shopping!" Anouska exclaimed, jumping out of her seat.
Mason knocked on the door at exactly 7 PM, his heart pounding in his chest. On the other side you took a deep breath and opened the door.
He looked up, prepared to speak, but at the sight of you, he fell speechless. You were the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
"Hi!" He managed to stammer out.
"Hi."
"You look... wow, you look incredible." He said, his eyes scanning your figure.
You were wearing a red dress, heels, and your hair was styled in a messy yet elegant braid.
"Thank you." You said, a blush creeping onto your cheeks. "You don't look too bad yourself."
He was dressed in a classic black suit and a simple white shirt. He looked handsome. Incredibly handsome.
"Are you ready to go?"
You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest. As you stepped out of your house, you couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement.
The restaurant was a charming and intimate space, perfect for a private date. Mason had chosen it carefully, knowing that you wouldn't want, and neither did he, to be interrupted by his fans during your time together.
The food was exquisite, and with Mason's company, you barely noticed the time passing.
"My family is coming next weekend, and they would love to see you." Mason said, his voice filled with nervousness. He quickly added: "Only if you're comfortable, of course."
Your heart skipped a beat. Over the years, you got to know Mason's family. They had always been incredibly kind and welcoming, and for the past five years, they had been your own family. However, the lack of memories made it a bit daunting.
"I…" You hesitated.
Mason gave you a reassuring smile. "Don't overthink it, Y/n. They love you, but if you're not comfortable, it's okay."
"I'm just… The only memory I have of them is from seeing them at your games at Chelsea."
"I know, I know." Mason said, understanding your hesitation. "Just think about it." You nodded. "They love you as much as I do." You said, blushing slightly at the mention of love. Mason didn't seem to notice. "They miss having you around." He continued. "Summer is always asking about you."
A warm smile spread across your face. "I really want to meet her! I guess I was her favourite aunt!" You joked.
"Yes! You still are."
You sat down on the carpet, helping Summer with her puzzle. She was wearing a floral dress almost identical to the one you were wearing.
"Where's Uncle Mase?" She asked, looking around as she noticed you were the only one sitting beside her.
"He's with the baby. Your little sister!" You replied, searching for the missing piece of her puzzle.
"Hmm." She grumbled, her pout evident. You looked up to see her looking upset and a little jealous.
"What is it?" You asked gently.
"He's always with her!" She was jealous and it was just the cutest scene ever. "I want him to play with me."
You chuckled at her adorable jealousy. "I know, pumpkin, but your sister is very little and Uncle Mason needs to give her lots of cuddles, just like he did with you when you were born."
She shrugged, her pout softening slightly. She looked at you for a moment.
"Can you give me cuddles, Auntie Y/n?" She asked, her voice small.
You were surprised. Cuddles were typically a Mason and Summer thing. "You want my cuddles?" She nodded eagerly. "Of course I can give you cuddles!" You said, smiling. "Let's watch Moana and cuddle on the sofa."
Just as you and Summer were getting comfortable, Mason entered the room, a playful grin on his face. "Hey, I thought I was your cuddle buddy!"
Summer cuddled more against you. "Antie Y/n is my favourite now."
"Mason, what are we doing here? It's late." You whispered, your voice barely audible in the empty parking lot.
Mason smirked at you and grabbed your hand, pulling you towards one of the stadium doors. A security guard in a black uniform opened the door for you, and Mason thanked him.
As you and Mason walked hand-in-hand onto the pitch, you couldn't help but feel a sense of astonishment and wonder. You had never been inside the pitch before.
"This is incredible!" You said, looking around in amazement. Mason squeezed your hand.
Mason led you to the center of the pitch, and you were surprised at how extensive it felt.
"What do you think?" He asked, his voice filled with excitement.
You were speechless. "I can't believe you all ran around this for 90 minutes. It's huge."
Mason laughed. "We got used to it." He lay down on the grass and gestured for you to join him. "Come here. Lay down."
It had been a beautiful day in Manchester, with the sun shining. The night was warm, and the grass was dry.
"Look at the sky!" Mason said, breaking the silence.
You followed his gaze and found yourself mesmerized by the vast expanse of stars above. The city lights created a soft glow, illuminating the night sky like a painting.
"It's beautiful." As you lay there, gazing up at the stars, you couldn't help but feel a deep sense of peace. "Is this the part where you'll teach me where to find the Great Bear?"
Mason chuckled. "I'll leave that to another date." You laughed.
You raised an eyebrow. "And who told you that we'll have another date?" Mason looked at you, a hint of panic in his eyes. "I'm just kidding." You said, laughing.
His face relaxed into a beautiful smile. "You're going to be the death of me." Mason turned to face you, his eyes filled with a soft intensity. "I'm glad you're here."
You smiled. "Me too."
You both gazed at each other, caught in the moment. It felt like time stood still. As you both leaned in. You could feel Mason's breath on your face, your heart pounded in your chest.
His lips met yours, a soft, gentle touch that sent a shiver down your spine. You kissed him back, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over you. You cupped his face, felling his beard against your palm and Mason pulled you closer, deepening the kiss.
As you pulled away, breathless and exhilarated, you knew that this was just the beginning. You were falling for Mason, and it felt incredible.

paring: lee minho x f!reader - roommate!skz
genre: fluff, angst, comedy, (future smut), smau, roommates au.
warnings for this chapter: weed use, mild sexual jokes, relentless flirting, honestly that's it, this is mostly fluff.
intro || part one || part 1.5
As you stretch your arms overhead, you swing your legs over the side of the bed and stand up, putting on an oversized t-shirt and your favorite pair of pajama shorts. It may have appeared that you weren't wearing any pants, but you didn't care and were confident that nobody else would either, as long as you were comfortable. As you leave your room, you make your way towards the basement stairs, passing by the kitchen where Chan and Seungmin are busy preparing their breakfasts. The aroma of freshly toasted bread fills the air as you walk down the hallway.
"morning!" you said, your voice still a bit raspy from sleep.
"morning, sweetheart" Chan responded, motioning you in for a hug.
You took a few more steps into the kitchen, feeling the coldness of the tile floor against your bare feet as you wrapped your arms around Chan's waist and rested your head on his chest, enjoying the warmth his body provided. "You should really be sleeping more" he mumbled into your hair.
You sighed "I know I know, but I have caffeine!" You chirped as you pulled away from the hug.
"You're gonna be shaking like a damn chihuahua if you don't chill with the caffeine" Seungmin said as he took a bite of his food. You turned around to face him.
"oh so I get shit for drinking too much caffeine but Innie doesn't? Double standard ass bitch." Seungmin just rolled his eyes. You looked him up and down for a moment, he was dressed in a nice black button up with the top two buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, matching black slacks, and nice shoes. He was adorned with gold necklaces and rings while his hair was parted in the middle.
"You look hot, where you going?" you asked with a tilt of your head. His face scrunched up in disgust, despite his flushed cheeks, making Chan laugh.
"Ew. Anyway.. I'm heading over to Gucci and then Prada to get some dog clothes for the pups I'm walking today." he explained.
"You shop at Gucci and Prada for dogs?" you ask incredulously.
"Yes? And?" he replied in defense.
As you left the kitchen, you couldn't help but shake your head with a hint of amusement. "Nothing, just suddenly I'm a dog." You said with a laugh.
"Yeah well I'm not buying you shit!" He shouted down the hallway, his words chasing after you as you made your way towards the stairs that led to Jisung's room.
You walked down the stairs and passed through the spacious game room, which was filled with a variety of entertainment options, including a few arcade machines, an air hockey table, and a dart board mounted on the far wall. Rounding the corner you peeked into Jisung's room. "Hanji? You're clothed right?" you asked cautiously. He laughed "no, I'm stark naked and smoking a fat bowl." he said sarcastically. "Oh hell yeah" you said, dramatically bursting into the room. As you laughed uncontrollably, you collapsed onto one of his soft couches. He quickly passed you the bong with a chuckle, shaking his head at your dramatics. "well, the fat bowl part was true at least" you accepted the bong, lighting the bowl and taking a decent sized hit before you blew the smoke out slowly. God you loved a good wake n bake.
The sudden buzzing of your phone signaled an update awaited you in the group chat.
You slowly savored the coffee Jeongin had brewed for you, already feeling the effects of the RedBull but still yearning for more caffeine. Six hours or less of sleep wasn't uncommon for you, but it certainly wasn't enough to feel rested. The weed kept the caffeine jitters at bay and you were content vegging out on the sofa in Jisung's basement bedroom.
You lived in a spacious and luxurious house, so it was no surprise that the basement was just as impressive. It was modeled the same as the rest of the place, with the exception of the lack of windows. Jisung's room was adorned with purple LED lights and chill music played in the background, creating a peaceful atmosphere that was perfect for starting your day.
After sending your last message to the group chat and locking your phone, you let out a sigh as you set it down on the coffee table in front of you. Jisung sat on the smaller sofa across from you, giving you an inquisitive look with his eyebrows furrowed and his eyes fixed intently on yours. You raised an eyebrow back at him "What?" you asked. "not to be the bitch in another bitches business.." he started, slouching further into the sofa "but you do know they're just worried, right?" he asked hesitantly. You gave a gentle smile before another sigh escaped you. "Yeah, I know, but I'm good, promise." you said. Jisung nodded in response.
The door creaked open further and both of you leaned forward to see who was entering. "Hey, just me." Minho said as he stepped inside. "gimme a couple hits, my body is screaming from this morning's routine" he complained. Jisung sat up, handing him the bong. Minho took a hit, blowing the smoke up towards the ceiling. "So, wasn't trying to eavesdrop but.." he turned to you, face unreadable "you are like.. safe.. right?" he asked, referring to your work. You carefully chewed on your bottom lip for a few seconds, gathering your thoughts before responding. "I mean.. yeah. I'm safe." Minho looked at you, unsure if he really believed you or not. You smiled, placing a hand on his cheek. "Don't worry about it." You dropped your hand and Minho let out a huff.
"Anyway.. what are your guys plans for the day?" You asked. Jisung hummed in thought. "I'm probably just chilling here all day." he said with a shrug. Minho looked at you. "I was thinking about going to the Spring festival they're holding at the park. It'd probably be boring alone though.. if you wanted to come with." he said nonchalantly, as if he wasn't already planning on asking you to go. You perked up. "Will you buy me snacks?" You gazed at him with pleading eyes, resembling those of a puppy, and paired it with an endearing smile that lit up your whole face. The combination was irresistible, making him burst into laughter. "Yeah yeah, I'll buy you snacks, princess" he said, rolling his eyes. "Hell yeah! I'm in." Minho turned towards Jisung. "You wanna tag along.. orrr?" he asked him, giving him a look that you couldn't quite decipher. Ji just smirked "Nah. You two have fun." He said, giving Minho a knowing look. "Okay. We'll head out around three, yeah?" He asked you, you nodded. "Yeah, sounds good!" As Minho rose to his feet, he tenderly patted your head before making his way towards the exit. "I'm gonna go make myself some food, I'll see you later though." he said walking out of Jisung's room and back up the stairs.
Ji fixed his gaze on you, his right eyebrow arched in a subtle yet unmistakable gesture of inquiry. "What?" You asked with a confused expression on your face. "Nothing it just.. kinda sounds like a date." He said with a sly grin and an exaggerated eyebrow wiggle, emphasizing his point in a playful manner. You rolled your eyes. "We're just friends, Hanjiiiii" he laughed. "Whatever you say, bug."
You and Jisung smoked another bowl and engaged in conversation while enjoying music, laughing over absolute bullshit until you decided to get ready for the festival with Minho. "Have fun on your daaaate~" Ji mocked in a singsong voice as you stood up from the sofa, his tone was playful but slightly sarcastic. You threw a pillow at his face and laughed before quickly scurrying off to your room.
You chose a cozy and laid-back outfit, consisting of a soft grey sweater, a stylish denim skirt, and your trusty white sneakers, perfect for walking around. For your hairstyle, you opted to keep your strands flowing freely, adding an effortless touch to your overall look. When you stepped out of your room, you narrowly avoided bumping into Minho as he was stopped in front of your door. "Oh, hey. I was just about to get you." He said with a laugh. "You ready?" You nodded "yup! Let's head out!" you said, pulling him along. "You wanna get cheap coffee before?" He asked. "Duh"
Following the stop for coffee where you stayed to savor the drinks, you continued on to the festival, where you were greeted by the vibrant colors of springtime as you approached the park. The sweet scent of blooming flowers mingled with mouthwatering smells from an array of food stalls wafting through the atmosphere. After quickly exiting the car, your excited bouncing drew Minho's attention. "Where to first?" You asked Minho who had an amused smile on his face. "I promised you snacks, no?" he said with a grin. "Let's go get you something good." With graceful precision, you maneuvered around the car and latched onto Minho's arm. "I want something sweet and deep fried!!" You exclaimed. He chuckled as he guided you towards the array of food stalls, each one tempting your senses with its unique aroma. The sweet and savory smells mingled in the air, making your mouth water in anticipation. As you scanned the row of stalls, your eyes landed on a particular stand that caught your attention: Cherry blossom powdered donuts. You pointed to it excitedly. "thaaaaaat". Minho laughed at your excitement, throwing his head back. "Okay okay okay" he laughed out.
As you approached the stall, your face dropped. "Wait, Min, these are expensive. I'm not letting you buy these!" You said, pulling out your wallet. Before you could even pull out your card, Minho quickly and sneakily grabbed your wallet from your hands, shoving it in his own pocket. "Don't even think about it, princess." He said, looking at you intensely. "Miiiin" you whined "aht, shut it." Without hesitation, he extracted his wallet from his other pocket and handed over money to cover the cost of two donuts. You pouted. "I could've totally paid for mine!" With a sly grin spreading across his face, Minho reached out and affectionately tapped his fingers beneath your chin. "I know you could have. I simply didn't want you to, freak." You rolled your eyes. "Fine but I owe you." This made him grin. "Yeah? What are you gonna pay me back with?" He asked with a tilt of his head and a wink. Your face flushed a bit at his sudden flirtatious attitude, and you could feel the heat rising to the surface. You hid it by walking over to a bench that sat beneath one of the many beautiful pink trees. He laughed as he followed you to the bench, where you both sat down and enjoyed your donuts.
You basically devoured your donut in just two bites, while Minho had barely taken his first bite. He looked at you with a hint of amusement and wiped away some powder that had gathered on your bottom lip with his thumb, swiping over it slowly. The soft pad of his thumb meeting your sensitive lip had goosebumps rising on your neck. Your heart stupidly skipped a beat at the gesture. 'Jesus, y/n. This is Minho, what the hell is your problem?'. Maybe it was because of Ji's teasing about this being a date, but you had promised yourself ages ago that nothing could ever happen between you and any of the boys. You refused to be responsible for the fallout of your closely knit group. Not after the rumor almost destroyed everything. All you'd be doing is proving the rumor right.
You turned your head, clearing your throat. "Remember last time we came to the spring festival?" You asked him. With a gentle smile playing on his lips, he relaxed into the bench, letting out a soft laugh. "Yeah. I had to hold your stupid hand the entire time because you freaked out and started crying when I went out of sight for two minutes." He said, reminiscing. "It was ten minutes, Min!! I thought you ditched me.." you pouted. "I would never." He said, nudging your shoulder, the contact warm. You nodded "Yeah, I know. But I was already ditched that day by the guy I was supposed to be there with. I thought maybe I just sucked to be around." You huffed with a nervous laugh.
Minho's fingers grazed against your skin as he tenderly tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear, making your heart flutter. "Nah, you're my favorite person to be around." God he needed to stop. No, you needed to stop. It's not like he was even doing anything particularly.. flirty. Was he? This was normal behavior within your friend group, so why should it feel different with Minho? You sucked in a breath. "I thought I was a freak." You teased. He laughed. "I mean, a freak could be a good thing, depending on where you're at." He said wiggling his eyebrows. Now you were laughing. You smacked his arm. "Jesus Christ, Min." You said rolling your eyes. "is that what you scream in bed too?" He said, his voice low. You looked at him, tongue in cheek. "Wouldn't you like to know?" You asked sarcastically. Minho merely shrugged. "Maybe." You just shook your head with another roll of your eyes. "You're impossible, Lee Minho."
The two of you went back and forth for a while, making jokes and conversation before deciding to walk around the festival some more. With so many things to look at, you could hardly focus on just one thing. Suddenly you came to a stop in front of a stall with a dart board game, eyeing what was possibly the cutest grumpy looking cat plush. It honestly reminded you of Minho. "Got your eye on something, princess?" Minho asked, backtracking to you. You simply nodded. "Give me my wallet. I want to win that cat!" You explained, pointing at the stuffed animal. He laughed. "That weird looking thing?" You stifled a smile. "Funny you say that, I was just thinking that it looked like you." Minho threw a hand to his chest with a dramatic gasp. "How dare you, I am MUCH cuter than that thing." You rolled your eyes, making a grabby hand, asking for your wallet.
Minho simply shook his head "Not a chance, princess. I invited you, I'm paying." he said. "Minnnn no! You know how I feel about people spending money on me!" You huffed. "And y/nnnnn you know how I enjoy spending money on people!" He mocked. You narrowed your eyes at him, thinking out your plan for a moment before you were suddenly lunging at him, reaching for his jacket pocket in a swift motion. With one arm securely around his waist, you attempted to slide your other hand into his pocket. Minho was cackling as he pulled at your wrist, his fingers deftly working it away from his pocket before using the position to pull you close to him, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Your breath hitched in your throat as you realized that your faces were now only inches apart as he beamed at you with an unrestrained grin, making you halt. "Nice try, princess, but back off." He whispered. As he spoke, you could feel the gentle whisper of his breath on your lips. It was as if time stood still for a moment before you felt yourself blushing and taking an involuntary step backwards. Minho smiled. "Good girl.. now, let's get you that cat." He approached the dart booth, handed the operator a few dollars, and received a fistful of darts in exchange.
As you watched him throw the darts, you shielded your eyes from the sun's rays. The first dart hit its mark in the center immediately. The man removed it before Minho threw the second dart, also landing it directly in the middle. You raised your eyebrows, impressed. The actions repeated in the same way until all the darts were gone, earning you your chunky, angry cat. As Minho handed you the plush creature, you couldn't help but beam at it with excitement. With a grin spreading across your face, you gently squished its cheeks. "I love him." You cooed, making Minho laugh. "You really think that thing looks like me?" He asked. You looked at him, then back to the plush, smile still on your face. "Absolutely. Grumpy, but undeniably cute." You giggled out. You missed the subtle, yet noticeable pink hue that suddenly seized his entire face while you were fixated on the cat, completely absorbed in your own thoughts. Minho reached out with his hand and ruffled your hair, causing a few strands to fall out of place before he began walking away. "whatever you say". After catching up to him, you kept pace with him and cradled the soft toy against your chest, exuding happiness.
As you walked side by side, you made your way towards an old wooden bridge that stretched across the serene lake. The sun was warm and casting a bright glow over the water as you stepped onto the creaky boards of the bridge. You stopped midway, taking in the breathtaking view around you while listening to the gentle lapping of the waves. "We should take a selfie!" You exclaimed, pulling out your phone. "Sure, princess." He said, leaning against the railing. Capturing a good picture proved to be more challenging than expected, and you found yourself attempting different poses and angles, all while letting out annoyed sighs when they didn't work as planned. This caught the attention of an older woman on the other side of the bridge. "Oh! Let me take a photo for you two!" She said sweetly. "Oh! Thank you so much, ma'am, I'd really appreciate that!" You said with a smile, handing her your phone.
You sat your cat plush nearby and stood next to Minho, your hands clasped behind your back as Minho leaned closer to you. The woman lowered the camera. "Oh come on, I'm sure a lovely couple like you can strike a more romantic pose than that!" She said with a laugh. Your eyes widened as Minho chuckled. "Oh! We're not-" But before you could even complete your thought, Minho was already turning in your direction with lightning speed, enveloping you securely within his strong arms while lifting you off the ground. You gasped, wrapping your arms around his neck for stability. "That's more like it!" she exclaimed excitedly. "Min, what the hell?" you whispered. He huffed out an airy laugh. "Relax, princess. It's just a photo. I won't drop you." You could feel the warmth of his chest against yours, and his breath on your neck, making you flustered yet again. Unwilling to let your flushed face be documented, you angled your head so that your face was out of view of the camera's lens.
The woman snapped the photo and looked at it with a smile as Minho put you back down and lightly stroked your cheek with the tips of his fingers. You were distracted for a moment, unable to break your eye contact with Min before the woman handed your phone back to you. "It came out perfect!" She said with a smile. You snapped back to reality. "Thank you so much, ma'am" you said as you took your phone back. She waved off the praise as she went back to her own business. You and Minho looked at the photo for a moment before you tucked your phone back into your pocket. You were still feeling a bit flustered as Minho threw an arm around your shoulder nonchalantly, pulling you close to him. "Where to next?" He asked you. You shrugged "uh, you wanna get something to drink?" You asked. He nodded "sure thing." He replied. "Any way you'll let me pay this time?" You asked, looking up at him with a playful glare. "No way in hell, baby." You rolled your eyes at his response. "Fine, whatever." He simply laughed at your reply "I love when you're compliant." He purred. You playfully pushed him away, you holding back a grin as he cackled.
You and Minho walked over to the nearby drink stand, scanning the menu board as you waited in line. When it was your turn, you ordered a cherry blossom lemonade for yourself while Minho chose a strawberry cream drink. The two of you sat near the water, swapping drinks every so often as you made conversation and watched the sun set, your shoulders pressed together. You were both laughing at an old college story when a yawn escaped you. You looked at the time on your phone. It was only 9pm, but you were already feeling exhausted from the lack of sleep the night before. The darkness outside seemed to be closing in on you, making your eyelids feel heavy and your body begged for rest. You rested your head on Minho's shoulder momentarily, enjoying the comfort he provided.
"You ready to head back?" He asked you, noticing your sleepy state. You nodded. "Yeah I'm exhausted." You admitted. He stood up, offering you his hand and helping you up. You grabbed your grumpy cat and you both headed to the car, Minho never releasing your hand.
The ride home was spent singing along to a few songs, smiles plastered on your faces. Minho couldn't help but steal a glance at you, his heart skipping a beat as he took in the sight of you happily belting out one of his favorite songs with your eyes closed, completely absorbed in the music. He focused his attention back on the road just as you opened your eyes, completely missing his gaze.
As you finally arrived home and stepped back inside, you were greeted by the chaotic screams of Jisung and Felix, who were fully immersed in Mario Kart. You laughed at them as you passed. "Welcome back, Bug!" Ji called out as you passed by. "Hey, I'm here too, you know." Minho shouted back. "Yeah yeah you too, loverboy." Jisung responded dismissively. You laughed as Minho rolled his eyes.
"Anyway, I'm gonna go hit the shower before I settle. Today was fun." He said, brushing your arm with his finger tips as he walked by. "Okay. Goodnight, Min." You responded softly. "Goodnight, princess."
After arriving back to your room, you put on some comfy clothes and settled onto your bed to catch up with everyone in the group chat.
As you set your phone down next to you, you can't help but think about all that happened today. Suddenly, Minho's smiling face pops into your head. The way he was so close to you all day, his thumb brushing over your lip, his flirty jokes, his arm around your shoulder, his face close to yours.. your face felt hot just thinking about it. No. Stop. You literally can't do this. You promised yourself you never would. Not with any of the boys. You couldn't. You couldn't because you didn't want to risk your friendships and you couldn't because of your job. It was just all out of the question. No matter what your feelings truly were. Besides, Minho didn't feel that way about you, regardless of how much he jokingly flirted with words and actions. His intentions were probably never serious.
As you were running your hands down your face, your phone suddenly buzzed again. Thinking it was likely the group chat, you picked it up to check, but much to your surprise, it turned out be a private message from Minho.
You smiled at the photo. It really was cute.. you wondered what things would be like if Minho wasn't part of your friend group. If he was just a guy you met, maybe in a coffee shop or a bookstore. You didn't let yourself entertain the thought for long, flicking off your lamp and curling into your blankets in a swift motion, almost as if you were trying to escape the notion that had just crossed your mind, you pulled your grumpy cat to your chest and buried your face in it.
MewMin, you decided to name him. He would have to do...

I’ll Fix This
Note - I’m back baby 😉 dad Mase won the poll so I hope you enjoy. Feedback would be appreciated as usual 🩷
Pairing - Mason Mount x Reader
Word count - 3.7k
Warnings - sort of angst? And fluff
‘Daddddyyyyy’ Ollie screamed, running towards the front door from the kitchen and you let him go, finally taking a breath as you were left alone with the chaos of the kitchen.
You usually liked you have everything tidy and dinner almost ready for when Mason got home, not by his request in fact you didn’t think he cared all that much but you just liked knowing it was done, however over the last few weeks it was becoming difficult to juggle. With Tilly being so small still a lot of your attention was on her when she was awake and whilst you tried to give Ollie as much of your time as you could, lately all he wanted was Mason and you’d be lying if you said it didn’t sting a little bit.
Ollie had been a daddies boy from the get go but ever since you’d been spending a lot of time with him at home when Mason was training you’d foraged a pretty strong bond. The pair of you had bought him up to be a kind and considerate little boy, having thanked your lucky stars that he’d seemingly skipped the terrible twos but now you were just wondering if his were slightly delayed and you were now experiencing the ferocious fours.
You felt relived Mason was home though, trying to hold yourself together as you did most nights now so he wouldn’t suspect anything. You didn’t want him thinking you didn’t have everything under control so made out you were fine however you weren’t sure how much longer you could carry on like this for and you knew Mason was starting to catch on.
‘Hello sweetheart’ you suddenly heard behind you and you almost lost it when you felt Masons lips on your temple. That tiny bit of intimacy and affection letting your walls slip ever so slightly but you managed to pull yourself together.
‘Hey Mase, sorry about the mess’ you said quietly, not being able to look at him but you knew he would of had a confused expression on his face. ‘Dinner won’t be too much longer. Why don’t you take Tilly in the other room with Ollie so I can get sorted’
‘Baby?’ He questioned, and you swallowed down a lump before looking up into his curious eyes. ‘Are you alright?’
‘I’m fine, just been a long day’ you reassured him before reaching down to grab Tilly out of her crib so you could pass her to Mason, knowing he’d never say no to spending time with her. ‘I’ll call you when it’s ready’ you told him and with a kiss to your forehead he was off.
Now you were alone you quickly cleared up all the toys before checking on dinner and even though you had a spare ten minutes, you spent that time on your own sat in the pantry so you could collect yourself for the rest of the evening as to not arise any suspicion from Mason and also just to decompress a little bit.
Ollie of course was an angel now that Mason was home, telling him all about his day and being as charming as ever and when you were all sat on the sofa later that night you tried not to let it show how upset you were when he refused to sit in the middle of the pair of you and wanted to just sit next to Mason. You could see Mason giving you a confused look, threading his fingers through yours as shuffled up to you to make room for Ollie on his other side and you made sure to rest your head on his shoulder so he couldn’t see your glassy eyes and wobbly lip.
‘You go put Ollie to bed and I’ll lock up and sort everything out down here’ you told Mason and with a kiss on your forehead he moved Ollie to take him upstairs. He ran off without saying goodnight first but you were a little bit relieved as most nights he caused a scene about it now, no longer wanting a kiss from you and wriggling away as quickly as he could. You weren’t sure you could keep on a brave face tonight and you pretended you didn’t see Masons disappointed look before he went upstairs to put Ollie to bed.
You had been laying in bed with Tilly for about ten minutes and there was still no sign of Mason appearing. You were both on top of the covers as she was snoozing peacefully next to you and you took the time to look over her features carefully. It was scary how much she looked like Mason, the same lips and chin and from the brief glances you’d seen they both had the same beautiful brown eyes, the exact same as Ollie’s.
‘You’d never be mean to mummy would you Till’s?’ you whispered as you stroked her cheek gently. ‘Gonna make sure you’re a mummy’s girl and we’ll do everything together. When you’re old enough we can go out shopping and give daddy a show of everything we got when we’re back, and we can go out for girly lunches and coffee and tell each other everything’ you whispered, planning out how you hoped your relationship with Tilly would pan out whilst wondering where you went so wrong with Ollie.
‘Has he got ants in his pants or something today? Took me forever to get him down’ Mason told you as he made his way into your room, his face softening as he caught sight of the pair of you. ‘There’s my girls’ he whispered, kissing both your heads gently before walking over to his wardrobe so he could get changed.
‘How’s she been today?’ He asked, sliding ontop of the sheets opposite you so he could lay next to Tilly and face you.
‘Yeah really good. After her lunchtime feed she stayed awake for like ten minutes just looking at me. It even look liked she smiled when I spoke to her’
‘That’s cause she knows her mummy’s voice’ he told you as he went to hold one of her hands with his finger.
‘I’m pretty sure it was just wind but I’m counting it as a smile’ you joked and he looked up at you lovingly.
‘What about you? How are are you?’ He asked and the sincerity in his voice broke you. You done everything you could all day to keep your emotions in but one simple question from the man you loved broke all your walls down and you had to hide your face in the pillow as you began to sob. ‘Baby? Baby what’s happening?’ He asked slightly panicked but you couldn’t reply right now, your chest caving in on itself as you finally let out everything you’d been holding in for weeks. In the end you felt him scoop Tilly up and place her in her crib before crawling back next to you and pulling you into his arms.
He didn’t attempt to ask anymore questions, he just let you cry it out into his neck whilst he held you to him, stroking your hair and trying to soothe you in anyway that he could until he felt your breathing get back to normal.
‘You know I can read you like a book right? I’ve know something was wrong as soon as I looked at you today. You’ve been like it for a while but today it was worse. Talk to me sweetheart, I hate seeing you like this’ he told you gently and you knew there was no point trying to brush anything off anymore.
‘It’s just finding it all a bit hard’ you told him, shuffling back at little bit so you could speak a bit easier and you felt yourself relax even more when he cupped your jaw and brushed a few tears away. ‘Im just tired I think, and there’s always something to do. The house is a mess no matter how much I clean it, I’m still trying to get into a routine with Tilly but it’s tough and then Ollie…’
‘What baby?’
‘I don’t think he likes me anymore’ you laughed but you were sobbing again straight after
‘Oh, I don’t think that’s true. He loves you baby I promise. What’s made you think that?’
‘He’s just been a bit mean to me lately. Doesn’t do anything I say and just wants you. I know things are different with Tilly being around now but I just feel a bit rubbish. Like when I spend all day with him and he tells me he doesn’t want me it hurts a bit’
‘I’ll speak to him tomorrow’
‘No it’s fine’ you sighed, rubbing your eyes so you could finally look up at him. I think I’m just a bit tired and feeling sorry for myself. I feel a bit silly and like I’m making more out of it than I should’ you reassured him. ‘I’m just really tired and it’s making me feel like I can’t do things and that I’m a rubbish mum. I don’t want you to think I can’t cope, cause I can’
The look of sympathy he gave you made your heart flip and you smiled when he placed his lips on yours, finally feeling a bit more settled as he showed you some affection. ‘I know you can. You’re doing such a good job mumma, I promise’ he whispered against your lips and you felt your tears flow again. ‘I probably haven’t told you that enough at all but I promise you, you are. And I don’t care if I come home to a messy house or if dinners not ready by a certain time. We can do that stuff together yeah? That’s what families do’
‘But I don’t want to burden you when you’ve been at work all day’ you sniffed but he was shaking his head lightly.
‘Just cause I’ve been out to work doesn’t mean you haven’t been working all day too.
‘I just want it nice for when you get in’
‘I know baby and I really do appreciate it but everything doesn’t have to be perfect. We’re still a work in progress and we’ll get there’
‘I love you’ you sobbed and he bought you back into his arms as he rocked you ever so gently.
‘I love you too’ he whispered before letting you calm down and stop crying. ‘When’s Tilly’s next feed?’
‘In about 15 minutes’
‘Are there bottles made up in the fridge?’
‘Yeah should be’
‘How about you get yourself tucked in and I’ll give Tilly her bottle. I’ll give her the night feed too so you can get some proper sleep’
‘Mase, it’s fine-‘
‘No, I’m being serious. Daddy’s home and he’s in charge now’ he laughed whilst tickling your sides and you fake gagged as he kissed all over your face. ‘Come on, get in and we can have a little cuddle and then it’s off to the land of nod for you. Tilly wants some daddy daughter time, she told me’ he winked.
You eventually listened to him, tucking the pair of you in so he could hold you while you went to sleep, eventually feeling him slip out of bed before picking Tilly up and taking her downstairs for her bottle. You didn’t wake up again until you felt him sneak out of bed again to give her the next feed but with a light kiss to your cheek you were off again.
You felt a lot fresher the next morning, but half an hour after Mason had gone you were on the verge of crying again. Ollie refused to eat his breakfast because Mason hadn’t made it and was screaming the house down whenever you tried to put Tilly to sleep. You tried sending him to his room but he refused and around 2pm you were ready to tear your hair out. You needed to pop to the shop but the thought of getting Ollie ready to go outside filled you with dread but you were standing strong and trying hard to get him to do what you needed him to.
‘Ollie, I won’t tell you again. Put the pencils away and come here so I can put your coat on’
‘No, I want daddy not you’
‘Daddy’s not here. Please just do it’
‘No!’ He shouted, throwing the pencils up in the air so they clattered to the floor with a loud bang, causing Tilly to cry almost immediately.
‘Oh Ollie’ you shouted, letting your frustrations get the better of you before he ran out the room. His little feet pounding up the steps until you heard his door slam but you weren’t fussed about him right now, reaching down to pick up an upset Tilly as you held her to your chest and tried not to cry yourself.
You almost jumped out of your skin when you felt a hand on your waist, your teary eyes looking up into Masons sympathetic ones and you froze on the spot. He wasn’t supposed to be home yet and you wanted to have everything sorted before he was but he’d seemingly caught you in the middle of a meltdown. You went to speak but he shook his head, kissing your forehead gently before peeling a still grizzly Tilly from your arms.
‘Go sit down baby, I got this’ he told you gently and you were too distressed to argue so you let him take her as you went into the living room. He wasn’t long and before you knew it he was next to you, bundling you into his arms as you clung to him for dear life. ‘I’m going to have a word with him, I don’t care what you say. I’m not having him speak to you like that it’s not on’
You didn’t argue with him, knowing you couldn’t keep this up for much longer so you just nodded before leaning back a bit.
‘He’s been like it all day, he just won’t do anything for me and I don’t know what to do anymore’ you told him, your bottom lip wobbling as he took your face in his hands before kissing your forehead.
‘I know, don’t worry I’ll fix this’
‘I wanted to fix it myself’ you laughed lightly, trying to ease the tension a little bit but you could tell how disappointed he was. ‘How much did you hear?’
‘All of it’ he sighed. ‘I didn’t wanna come bursting in and start shouting. I think it’s best I calm down and give him some time before I speak to him but I’m fucking furious. Is he like this everyday?’
‘Most days’ you whispered and the look of disappointment that clouded his face made your tummy drop.
‘You should of told me’
‘I wanted to handle it on my own-‘
‘But you’re not on your own. We’re a team remember? We made that little shit together and I’ll always be in your corner to fight back with you’ he laughed, trying to make you smile and even though you were upset you couldn’t help but laugh with him a little bit. ‘Now you just stay here, I’ll go grab Tilly for you and then I’ll go speak to him’ he told you gently, kissing your forehead before jumping up so he could get Tilly and settle her in your arms.
Mason took the stairs two at a time, nervous about having such a serious conversation with Ollie but he couldn’t let things carry on like this. Coming home to you so defeated everyday after you always tried so hard to make sure everyone lived in a happy house angered him more than he could say but he knew he couldn’t shout at him. He was still only little but he should know better than you treat you that way.
‘Ollie, open the door mate’ he called and the door flew open a few seconds later, Ollie smiling like butter wouldn’t melt as he hugged Masons legs but he didn’t offer him any affection back which made Ollie pull back with a pout. ‘Go sit on your bed for me I need to talk to you’
Ollie plopped on his bed with a thud, seemingly unaware of what Mason was about to talk to him about but he knew it was all an act by the way he sat playing with his fingers, a nervous trait he’d picked up from you and Mason had to stop himself from smiling.
‘Daddy’s really not very happy Ollie, why do you think that is?’ Mason asked and Ollie just shrugged his shoulders. ‘Nuh uh, we’re not doing this. You know exactly what I’m on about and I’m really disappointed. You know that behaviour isn’t acceptable’ he told him in a stern voice, trying to be firm and get his point across but also not frighten him. ‘You promised me you’d look after mummy when I’m not here so why have I come home to you shouting at her and not doing what’s she asked you to do?’
Ollie didn’t speak, just carried on playing with his fingers as he looked down and as soon as Mason saw his lip start to wobble his heart broke a little bit, eventually pulling him over and into his lap.
‘I don’t want you to get upset Mate, but how you’re feeling now, that’s how you’ve been making mummy feel for a little while and that’s not nice is it? We don’t want mummy to be upset do we?’
‘No’ he told Mason, shaking his head a little as Mason rubbed his back a little bit.
‘Cause we love mummy don’t we? She does so much for us and it’s important we’re kind to her. She works so hard everyday to make sure we’ve all got what we need and makes sure we’re happy so we need to make sure we look after her like she looks after us’
‘Im sorry daddy’ he finally sobbed, tucking his head into Masons neck as he started to cry.
‘I know mate, but It’s not me you need to say sorry to is it?’ Masons asked and Ollie shook his head into Masons neck. ‘Let’s go see mummy so you can apologise’
‘Okay’ Ollie sniffed before crawling out of Masons lap so he could stand up, rubbing his eyes before Mason held him by his arms.
‘I know you’re sorry but I really don’t want to have to speak to you about this again okay? If I do I won’t be as calm about it. Mummy does absolutely everything for you and I don’t like seeing her upset. Promise me you won’t do it again?’ Mason told him before holding out his pinkie finger which Ollie wrapped his own around.
‘I promise’ he told Mason and he looked like he meant it so Mason held his hand for Ollie to take so he could walk him downstairs to see you and apologise.
‘I’m gonna wait here for a little bit yeah?’ He told Ollie and with a final ruffle of his hair, he watched him run over to you, and throw himself into your arms. Thankfully you’d place Tilly back into her crib nearby so your arms were free and as soon as you worked out what was going on, you pulled him up into your lap so he could throw his arms around your shoulders. You felt your eyes prick instantly as you felt his little body shake.
‘I’m sorry mummy’ he sobbed and you quickly scratched over his head lightly to try and calm him down in a similar way you always did with Mason when he was upset. It seemed to work and soon enough he was pulling back to place a kiss on your cheek causing you to smile.
‘It’s okay baby, thank you for apologising’
‘Hey Ollie’ you suddenly heard from the doorway and you looked over to see Mason making his way in. ‘How about we go in the kitchen and clear your mess up?’ He asked and Ollie nodded before you helped him down so he could make his way into the kitchen. Mason quickly made his way over to you so he could drop a kiss on your lips and with a quiet I love you he was following Ollie into the kitchen.
Around ten minutes later Ollie was walking back in with a bottle for Tilly in his hands and you hadn’t even realised the time and that she was due a feed.
‘Oh thank you baby’ you smiled as he passed it to you and you gently grabbed Tilly so you could feed her. ‘Would you like to come and help me?’ You asked tentatively and to your surprise he nodded shyly at you so you carefully helped him up to sit in the corner of the sofa before laying Tilly in his arms and helping him hold the bottle, feeling more complete that you had in weeks.
Mason soon joined you, a small pout on his lips due to the fact he probably felt a little left out but he was quick to sit down as soon as you patted the space next to you.
‘I’ve made a start on dinner, how does daddy’s special pasta sound?’ He asked, wiggling his eyebrows but Ollie was looking back in disgust as he stuck his tongue out.
‘Want mummy’s pasta’ he laughed and Mason rolled his eyes playfully.
‘Of course you do’ he teased before his eyes landed on yours.
‘Thank you’ you whispered, leaning over to give him a quick kiss and you smiled as he pulled you back to deepen it a bit. ‘I mean it, thank you for all of this’
‘You’re welcome, gorgeous. You know I’d do anything for you’ he whispered, kissing your temple before resting his head on top of yours so you could watch your eldest baby feed your youngest, finally feeling like you’d done something right.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed :) I’d love to know what you thought so please feel free to comment or drop me an ask, I’d really appreciate it 🩷

Your mind wandered as you zipped your suitcase shut. John announced you were taking a trip for your anniversary and refused to tell you where. "You'll find out when we get there love," he said with a laugh after you pestered him to tell you. You walked downstairs and set your suitcase by the front door.
Through no fault of his own John wasn't always around for your anniversary. He always tried his best to to have his leave coincide but it didn't always happen. Usually you just had a nice dinner at home or John would surprise you with flowers; both of which you enjoyed. Needless to say you were shocked but excited when John told you he had a few weeks leave and had something big planned.
"Hey hon, remember to pack your toothbrush this time," you said, doublechecking to make sure you had everything. "You forget it every time," you mused. "I'm not going to forget my toothbrush dove. And I don't forget it every time," Price argued; he checked his suitcase and realized he forgot. He went to the bathroom and grabbed his toothbrush to pack it away without telling you.
"Are you ready love?" Price asked. "I want to get going," You noticed your boyfriend seemed to be acting weird. He was very fidgety and it wasn't like him at all.
"You okay?" You asked. "You seem anxious to get going,"
"Yeah I'm fine love I just want to get there before dark," Price replied, taking the luggage outside. He loaded the suitcases into the back of the car and slipped his hand in his pocket. His fingers brushed against the velvet box resting in his pocket. "Well if we want to get there before dark we should get going," you called out and shut the door behind you, locking up the house.
You noticed the scenery started to change from hilly landscapes to dense woods. You started to get excited about what was at the end of your little road trip. The car turned on to a cobblestone stone driveway that led to a beautiful cabin overlooking a private lake surrounded by trees. "Oh John this is beautiful!" You said, looking out the window. "How did you know about this?" You asked. "An old mate of mine offered to let us use it for the week," he smiled watching you try and take it all in.
"This whole place is for us?" You asked, wondering if you could possibly see everything in just a few days. Price squeezed your thigh. "Just us," he said, parking the car. "Here love," Price stated. He fished in his pocket pulling out a set of keys. "Here's the keys to the cabin. Why don't you go take a look around, while I unload the car" he suggested.
You smiled and took the keys from him walking up to the front steps. You unlocked the front door and stepped inside. The living room was decorated in a way you would expect a cabin to be decorated. A large sofa facing a tv mounted on the wall, a large red rug in the middle of the floor, an end table with a lamp beside the couch, a tv stand, large fireplace, and a chandelier made from antlers adorned the living room. There was also a full kitchen to your right when you walked in.
You made your way to the stairs and found the master bedroom. A king size bed was the centerpiece of the room with a wool blanket draped over the end. The curtains were drawn and a soft light emanated from a lamp sitting on a bedside table.
Your footsteps were hushed by the soft carpet as you walked to the bathroom. The master bathroom was beautifully decorated in finished wood and white accents with a big claw foot tub; definitely big enough for both you and John. A window that faced the lake and woods let in a nice breeze and you couldn't help smiling, the fact it was yours for a few days finally setting in.
You came down the stairs just as John set down the last of your luggage. "So? What do you think?" Price asked, smiling as you wrapped your arms around him. "It's perfect John!” you smiled. "It's so beautiful," you planted a kiss on his lips.
Over the next few days the ring Price carried around burned a hole in his pocket. He tried finding the right time to ask you but everytime he tried he got nervous. He was the Captain of the most elite special forces team in the world and he couldn't even ask you to marry him. He sat at the edge of the dock, his fishing pole in his hands. He looked at the water waiting for a fish to bite and thinking about how much he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. If only I could just ask her. With a frustrated sigh, he got up to stretch his legs still holding the fishing pole.
These few days seemed like a dream to you. Getting to spend this time with John was something you didn't always get to have. You noticed your boyfriend's behavior was somewhat off. He was anxious and fidgety when he's normally the calm and self-assured one in the relationship. You saw him sitting at the dock fishing and you smiled to yourself. His behavior may have changed but him fishing certainly hadn't.
You opened the front door and started walking down the cobblestone path the sweet air warming your skin. You saw little firefly's glowing in the garden flying around. "Have you caught anything yet?" You asked, siting down in a lawn chair with him standing holding his fishing pole. John glanced over and saw you wearing one of his army green t shirts and a pair of sleep shorts; he felt his heart skip a beat and his cock swell embarassingly hard despite the spirited romp in the sheets a mere few hours prior. For some strange reason, it made his thoughts drift back to the little box still tucked away in his pocket; he carried it with him everywhere since they got here. He still couldn’t believe he had trouble asking you a simple four-worded question. It was almost laughable that something so simple had the Captain racked with anxiety. The man who was feared just as much as he was respected in the field. What if you said no? What if you didn’t actually love him and this was the push you needed to leave him? He grimaced as his thoughts got more and more out of control.
“No I think I missed most of them,” he muttered and turned his attention back to the water. You furrowed your eyebrows; something was up with your boyfriend. Not much fazed the 6’2” Brit so to see him so lost in thought worried you. You got to your feet and wrapped your arms around your lover; your hands dipped underneath the shirt he was wearing and felt the dusting of wiry chest hair. You ran your fingers down the strong expanse of his chest and abdomen following the happy trail that disappears into his waistband. “What’s wrong hon?” You asked. “Nothing is wrong I’m fine love,” He grumbled. “You’ve been acting strange for the past few days and that isn’t like you,” You persisted. "I want to know what’s bothering you. You know you can tell me anything right?” You reassured him. John shifted his attention from the still water to you and tried to think of what to say.
“Do you…still love me?” He asked with uncertainty. “Would I have let you put me in those positions if I didn’t?” You teased, referencing the previous bedroom escapades. Seeing his face didn’t change, you realized he was serious. “Of course I do. Why would you think I don’t?” You asked. “Well…sometimes I can’t help but think you’ll wake up one day and come to your senses and leave me for someone who actually deserves you,” He sighed. It felt foreign to him to talk about his feelings but you made him feel safe enough that he could. You always brought out the best of him and it was one of the many reasons he wanted to marry you. “John Price, I am never going to leave you,” You told him, placing your hands on his muttonchops, framing his face. You hated it when he talked so badly about himself. “I love you so much and you deserve everything,” You said, gazing up at him. “Even if I am a grumpy old man?” He asked. “Yes even though you’re a grumpy old man,” you teased. “Hey! Easy now,” He said in mock annoyance. You placed your lips on his, capturing him in a heated kiss. You felt him kiss you back and the tension from his shoulders melted away. He groaned and pressed your bodies together, reaching down to grab a handful of your ass. He chuckled quietly when you whined as he pulled away. “In that case, there’s something I need to ask you,” He slipped his hand into his pocket while dropping down onto one knee. It’s now or never Price. He told himself. Your eyes went wide and filled with tears as you realized what was happening. “Y/N, will you marry me?” He asked, hoping, no silently begging, for you to say yes. “Yes! Yes I’ll marry you John Price,” you cried.
******
“FUCK!” You screamed. The headboard practically hit the wall with each harsh thrust from John. The room was filled with obscene yet erotic sound of panting and skin slapping against skin. “Fuck you’re taking me so well love,” John panted out, taking a glance down to where your cunt practically swallowed his cock. The sight drove him mad and he let out sounds he didn’t know he had in him. Those sounds he was making, the breathy groans and whimpers almost made you come then and there. “Fuck John!” You panted, feeling yourself get closer with every snap of John’s hips that hit perfectly inside you. John could feel you squeezing him like a vice and he knew you were close to coming. He grabbed the head board and pushed your legs to your chest to better plow into you and get as deep as he could into your pulsing cunt. “That’s it love,” He breathed out, his pace unrelenting. “Come for me love, come for me,”. John’s voice sounded strained as he focused on making you come before he did. You keened as you felt yourself go over the edge, coming on John’s cock. You squeezed him so tightly he swore he saw stars and came deep inside you, thick ropes of white staining the inside of your cunt. John rested his forehead against yours, strands of his hair sticking to the sweaty skin. You felt the sheer sheen of perspiration that had covered your own body begin to dry and cool off the longer the two of you stayed in each other’s embrace. "You okay love?” He asked, still out of breath as you both waited for your heart rates to slow. “More than okay,” you smiled lazily. Price gingerly pulled out his softened cock and walked to the bathroom, you admiring his bare ass as he walked away. John used a warm wash cloth to gently clean you up before grabbing a celebratory cigar and lighting it. You watched and admired his naked body as he poured himself a glass of scotch from the decanter sitting on the small table in the room before sliding back into bed with you.
You and John lay slightly tangled in the sheets with your head resting on his chest and his arm around you, relishing in that wonderful, hazy post sex daze. You couldn’t help but stare at the ring on your finger and smile; John was your fiancée and you could hardly believe it. “Careful now or I’ll think you love the ring more than me,” John’s deep baritone voice reverberating in his chest. “Well the ring is pretty great. And all I have is an old man,” you teased, looking up at him knowing he just proved himself to be anything but an old man. Your remark earned you a playful pinch on your ass. You squealed and laughed, swatting his chest playfully.
“Don’t worry Mr. Price I only have eyes for you my love,” You said, planting a kiss on his lips. "I love you,"
“I love you too soon-to-be Mrs. Price,”

“Hey stranger,” You called out from behind the sliding door that was left ajar, your head peeking through the gap to peer inside the hospital room.
“Hey yourself.” Jiung replied with a light chuckle.
You walked in. Walls covered in flowery 90’s wallpaper greeted you warmly, along with a mounted television playing news silently in the background, a small sofa and coffee table set in the corner and a large window with views of skyscrapers dotted along the side of the Han River. And of course, a single hospital bed with your ex-neighbour-turned-idol lying right on top of it.
“It’s a nice room.” You commented, curious eyes scanning your surroundings.
He scoffed. “Yeah, except now there’s a stain at the bottom of the walls from yesterday.” Jiung admitted sheepishly, hands coming up to rub the back of his neck in slight embarrassment.
“Ah…” You trailed off, setting down the two plastic bags you brought with you on his overbed table. “From when you flooded the bathroom?” You questioned, gentle and careful, nose scrunching up adorably.
“Don’t remind me…” He looked away. “I was so embarrassed! Oh my goodness… The head nurse laughed right in my face! I mean, it sounds like she thought it was funny, but I felt so bad.”
“I’m sure it’s fine, plus, who doesn’t like Krispy Kreme donuts?” “I hope so…”
“Anyways, I brought the goods, like you asked.” Your eyebrows cocked towards the bags, while you dragged a fold-up chair closer to his bedside.
Jiung’s eyes lit up at the mention of this. “You did?”
“Of course, who do you think I am?” You laughed, fingers moving to unpack the food. “Half and half wings, gold king and bburinkle flavoured, one pack of bburinkle cheese balls, and a large tteokbokki.” As you announced the order, you brought out the takeaway boxes one by one – soy sauce, sweet honey and garlic flavoured, then cheese powder flavoured wings; the mozzarella cheese balls that you both enjoyed and the large container filled with spicy rice cakes. “Oh, and Cass beer!”
“Y/N…” Jiung uttered, his mouth quickly salivating at the mention of his favourite meal: chicken and beer. “Are you an angel?”
You laughed out loud, cheeks turning a light shade of pink. You turned around, heading to the adjoined bathroom, hoping to hide your flustered expression. Too late, though, Jiung thought that shade of pink looked the cutest on you. “I think you’re just hallucinating from all the drugs they’ve put you under.” You replied.
“I have been dreaming about this meal since I got admitted last week. You’re really saving my life, neighbour.” Jiung breathed out, still amazed at the generous spread of food.
As you walked out, you saw Jiung swinging his legs to the edge of the bed. “Woah, hold on soldier, where do you think you’re going?”
He stopped, eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. “To wash my hands.”
“No need for that. Sit down and rest – doctor’s orders, remember?” You reached into your handbag and pulled out a hand sanitiser, passing it over to him. “Use this instead. Plus, it’s BHC. They’re professionals. There’s gloves.”
At that, Jiung rolled his eyes at you. “I’m fine,” He drawled out, yet accepting your offer and sanitising his hands. “It’s not like I’m severely injured or anything.”
You gave him a pointed look, fully sceptical. “Right.”
“I’m serious!”
“A ruptured thigh muscle, Jiung. You ruptured your thigh muscle.” You deadpanned, your motherly instincts firing up. “That’s a big deal! Just sit down and eat your chicken, okay?”
“Fine…” He grumbled, pouting as he pulled on his gloves.
“So, how are you feeling about it?”
“About the leg? It’s fine. Honestly, it doesn’t even hurt that much.” Jiung paused to take a bite of the cheese ball, eyes closing in pure bliss as he did so. “So good. This always hits.”
“Okay, but that’s not what I meant.”
“What do you mean?”
You sighed, reaching for a can of beer and opening it for him. “You know what I mean…”
He accepted it, taking a big gulp as he thought through his response. “It’s… fine.” Jiung looked down, suddenly taking a lot of interest in the box of fried chicken in front of him.
“Are you really okay? You were preparing for such a long time. Your mum even told me that you were practising non-stop, even on Seollal, and most of Christmas through to New Years. She said she could only send you banchan this year and was really sad about not seeing you back home.”
“Hey,” He looked up. “Are you here to visit your sick neighbour or to guilt trip him for not visiting his family?” Jiung said before biting into a bburinkle flavoured wing.
“Firstly, ex-neighbour. You moved out years and years ago. Secondly, I’m not trying to guilt trip you. I’m just trying to make sure you’re okay.”
“Well, why do you care if you’re just my ex-neighbour?” Jiung countered in a quiet voice.
“That’s not what I - ” You stopped, sighing. “Okay, we both know you’re not just my ex-neighbour.”
“What am I then?” He looked you straight in the eye.
The two of you engaged in a tense staring contest before the eye contact and the intensity behind his lids freaked you out. “My… My friend, okay? Geez, that’s not the point. Stop deflecting, Choi Jiung. I’ve known you for over a decade and you’re still the same. Always trying to avoid talking about your feelings.” You huffed, passing a pair of chopsticks to him and sliding over the container of tteokbokki.
Jiung nodded his thanks, accepting the cutlery and digging in.
Silence ensued as the words hung over the pair of you. You ate quietly while Jiung slurped up his rice cakes like a starved man. He set down his chopsticks once he took a big bite, sighing. “Okay, fine. You got me. I’m not okay.”
“See! Jiung, you have to talk about your feelings.” You stopped, hands coming up to make vague gestures in the air to emphasise your point. “It’s important! You can’t just keep everything inside. Like,” You picked up a can of unopened beer. “Like this. If you keep it bottled inside and shake it too much, it’ll explode completely and make a mess. Please, just talk to me about it. How are you feeling, Choi Jiung?”
He grimaced internally at the use of his full name, the name his mother would use whenever she got mad at him. “Yeah, I’m not okay. I’m so not okay, Y/N.” He sighed again. At this point, you grew slightly concerned that he would then hurt his nostrils from heavy sighing. You shook the silly thought away to focus. “I’m not okay, because, you know what, yeah. You’re right. We have been practising for so long, and so hard. And I was so excited, and had so many sleepless nights trying to figure out how to do my solo, and what lyrics would go well for the song, and how to set up the stages, and what outfits would go together, and, and…” He took a deep breath to calm himself. Jiung could feel his eyes heat up and the corner of his lids prickling, tears beginning to gather slowly but surely. “And for all that to be taken away from me, it just feels so, so unfair.” His voice sounded so small and vulnerable, your heart cracked a little bit for him. A stray tear escaped, rolling down his cheeks.
Immediately, you use the ends of your sleeves to dab away at his tears. Nodding, you encouraged him to go on.
“And… And I really wanted to visit Japan. Shota was gonna bring us to all these places, we were gonna have dinner with his family, and I was really looking forward to being back in America. I really wanted to walk around LA again, and see the huge trees, and…” Jiung paused again, trying to compose himself. “And I’m just really sad I can’t see the fans. I feel so bad, like I let them down, and I know that for some of them this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing to see us and I let them down and - ”
You didn’t allow him to continue - you simply stood up from your seat and sat next to him on the bed, enveloping him in a hug. “And that’s enough, I’m not gonna let you continue talking down to yourself like that.” You said in a hushed voice. You weren’t too sure why you were whispering, but it felt like the right thing to do.
Jiung shut up promptly, closing his wet eyes, and burying his face in your sweater. He breathed in your scent, a mixture of your fabric softener and jasmine, and felt at ease. He was transported back to simpler times - growing up in a high-rise apartment in the outskirts of Seoul, catching cicadas by the stream next to your house, and running around the parks until the sun went down.
You stayed like this for awhile, and it was like time stopped for you. You could barely breathe from how close you were to Jiung, someone you had admired for a long time now - initially from up close, close enough to count the eyelashes on his pretty face. And now from afar, through a screen. Initially, you wrapped him in a hug to stop him from talking about how he let his fans down, but now, you were just enjoying his warmth. Jiung hugged you back tighter, and you could feel the ends of his orange hair tickling your neck.
It was Jiung who broke the silence. “You feel the same - smell the same, even.” He mumbled, lips too close to your skin for you to maintain a healthy heartbeat.
“Yeah, well…” You hated yourself for pulling away, but you had to do it to check up on him; make sure he was okay. “Moving out to the big city made me crave familiarity. So I had to ask Mum to send me a picture of the softener she used for our clothes when we were growing up.”
Jiung smiled at that. “That’s nice.” He liked the idea of you calling your mum about something as simple as laundry. Often, he felt like his calls back home were the opposite of mundane - his mother would ask him where he was flying to that weekend; he would reply with the destination and tell her that he was working on a few new songs. She would tell him to eat well and not sleep too late; he would reply in the affirmative, hiding the fact that most of the time they were recording in the wee hours of the morning. It seemed like you were worlds apart. Yet, he couldn’t help but feel more than grateful to have a friend like you in his life to keep him grounded. Someone from his previous life, as a child, before he was P1Harmony’s Jiung - when he was just himself, just plain old Choi Jiung. A boy from Anyang. A boy with big dreams. Just a regular boy.
“Also, I’m sure your fans understand. And they’d want you to rest! Trust me,” You paused, “Everyone on SNS has been commenting to wish you a speedy recovery but also saying that this is a great opportunity for you to get some well-deserved rest. You guys never seem to rest these days. A comeback and a tour? You must’ve been so busy..”
Jiung laughed, amused. “You read the fan comments?”
“What? Of course! Why are you surprised?”
“Wow…” Jiung replied. “You know, we kinda lost contact when we were in high school but when you reached out again a few years ago I really did think it was because you suddenly missed me. Now I know why…”
“What do you mean?”
“Did you reach out because you were a fan? I always believed your story - I thought it really was because you bumped into my mum back in Anyang and she passed you my new number.”
“I mean…” You fumbled. Now it was your turn to be embarrassed. “That happened! I swear!”
“But…?”
“No buts! That is definitely what happened.”
“Right… So who’s your P1Harmony bias? Tell me.” Jiung teased, lips curling into a cheeky grin. He passed you the beer, urging you to drink. “Drink up and tell me. Don’t worry, I can set you up with them. Just tell me.”
You took a huge gulp as you whacked him on the arm.
“Hey! That hurt!”
“You deserved it.” You mumbled.
“So, who is it?” Jiung still wouldn’t let it go.
“You don’t need to know.” The tips of your ears were warming up now. You distracted yourself by munching on some wings, hoping he would just drop the topic already.
“C’mon, I deserve to know, at least.”
Just then, your phone, which was on top of the table, lit up with a Kakao notification. Your eyes widened in alarm, suddenly remembering that you had just recently changed your wallpaper to a (very cute) photo of Jiung from their most recent music video. With your clean hand, you reached over to grab it before Jiung could see it.
But alas, you were too slow. “Oh…” Jiung mused, getting all cocky. “I get it now.”
“What do you get? There’s nothing to get.” You forced out a laugh, flipping your phone the other way and burying it under your seat.
“Y/N…” Jiung drawled out the syllabus of your name in a teasing yet slightly dangerous way, as if he had an evil master plan. “Tell me something, and be honest.”
“Nope, I refuse.” You said, shaking your head vigorously.
“Do you like me?”
You continued shaking your head no and chewing in silence.
“Be honest, I’m not gonna judge you. Am I your bias?”
“Shut up, I refuse to answer.”
“Ah, so I am right.”
“That’s not what I said!”
“You didn’t have to say it, Y/N. I can tell… Just admit it. You like me.”
“No! This is so embarrassing…”
//
{ epilogue }
The nurses filling out their charts at the station giggled and gossiped over their dinners.
“So, what do you think is gonna happen?”
“Gosh, watching them is so frustrating. Like, just confess already!”
“I know right! I almost want to do something about it. Like slip them a note or push them into each other or something.”
“Ah, the beauty of young love…”

BUN AND BOB REQUEST!
Bun hyperfixating on building her huge new Lego McLaren set and not wanting to stop until it’s done and mounted on the wall. Pistachio has to come get Bob because at this point this girls been up for hours and needs her bed! ~nurse-sainz 🥰🥰
i'm in such a bob and bun/ jake and bug mood
warnings: weapons
Bob and Bun
When Bob called through the door, called her name and got no response, it was terrifying. Especially after the last time. But, this time, there was no blood.
"Bunny!" Bob called desperately as he loosened his tie and kept on walking through the house.
He walked into the living room and there she was. On the floor, Lego on a tray in front of her. Mickey was in the kitchen, drinking a coffee. He looked towards Bob and instantly pushed away from the counter.
"She's been there since you left," Mickey mumbled as he put the coffee down.
Bob let out a little bit of a sigh. He gave Mickey a little bit of a nod and walked towards her. "Hey Bun," he muttered as he sat down on the floor beside her.
He watched as she reached for the next piece of her Lego. It was something Bob knew she'd wanted for a while, one he'd ordered for her a few months ago. He had no idea what it was, but she'd squealed when he gave it to her.
"Bun?" Bob tried again.
She hummed in response as she turned the page of the instruction book.
"Mickey said you've been here all day. Have you had any water or anything?" He asked gently.
She made a noncommittal noise and continued to build.
Bob let out a huff. He pushed himself up from the floor and walked into the kitchen. Grabbing her favourite mug from the cupboard, he filled it with water and took it back over to where she sat on the floor.
Bun was entirely consumed by her Lego McLaren. She spent the evening building, almost completely ignoring Bob. But he still sat with her. In the silence of the evening he was able to get on with work, fill out forms and such (He had a list of who had what weapons and when they had to bring them back. Jake owed at least two handguns).
But it was getting later and later in the evening. "C'mon, Bun," said Bob as he tried gently to get her to stand up.
"Floyd, I love you but piss off."
"Baby," he said with warning in his voice. "You're gonna get tired and grouchy if you don't come to bed now."
"Pfft."
That had Bob raising his eyebrows. "None of that now, Bun," he said as he grabbed a hold of the tray and moved it away from her. "You can finish it tomorrow."
A huff left her lips. She put her almost built McLaren on the tray with the rest of the Lego, folded her arms over her chest and turned away from Bob.
He pushed his glasses up his nose (before he'd sat and filled out paperwork, Bob had swapped out his contacts for his glasses. It was one of those things he did to signify to himself that the work day was wrong) and grabbed her, pulling her up.
"Bobby, stop! I'm almost finished!"
"Fine," Bob said as he let go of her. "Don't come complaining to me when you're tired."
Sleeping without Bun by his side sucked. Bob laid awake, her side of the bed cold. But then Pistachio the cat was jumping on the bed. He pushed his head against Bob's. "Hey, Piss," he mumbled and went to stroke him.
But, the moment Bob raised his hand, Pistachio bit him and jumped off the bed.
Bob knew what that meant. He knew Pistachio being nice to him was too good to be true, he obviously wanted something. Grabbing his glasses, he followed the cat. Where Bob had expected Pistachio to take him to the food bowl, he didn't.
No, Pistachio took him into the living room. And then Bob saw her, finished McLaren on the tray, eyes shut as she rested against the sofa behind her. "Oh, Bunny," Bob whispered. He carefully stepped over her finished Lego.
His hands were so gently as he picked her up and held her against his chest. He couldn't help but kiss her forehead as he carried her to the bedroom.
Of course, she didn't stay asleep. No, as Bob helped to get her into her pyjamas, she woke up. "Bobby," she whispered, voice croaky. "I finished my Lego."
"I know you did, Bunny," he said and helped her to tie her hair up. "It looks really good."
She blinked up at him, looking so fucking sleepy and sweet. "Can you help me hang it up?"
Bob climbed into the bed beside her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, placing a kiss to the back of her neck. "Tomorrow, Bunny."
Her fingers laced through his own, settling over her stomach. "Love you, Bobby."
"Love you too, Bun."
(yes seb if you're seeing this it's for youuuu)

The Tour I
“Stop looking at me like that all the damn time,” you growl. Even his stare now is making your insides tighten.
“Like what?” he quirks his eyebrow in confusion, swirling his thick metal ring around his index finger absentmindedly.
“Like I’m the most important person in the room,” you whisper.
“But you are.”
“I knew I should’ve never agreed to do this.”
You drag yourself off the couch and head for the door but his hand wrapped around your wrist stops you.
“Let you pay me…I feel so dirty,” you sigh and look anywhere but at his crystal blue orbs.
“What the fuck do you mean pay you?!”
Oh fuck…
3 months, 2 week and 1 day earlier
Kells was on a downward spiral and everyone could see it but no one knew what to do. No one knew why though. Any time someone attempted to talk to him, to try and help him, he’d bite their head off and say he was fine. You hadn’t tried to talk to him, though. You knew him well enough to know that trying to talk to him was pointless and you didn’t particularly feel like being yelled at by him. Everyone else was finally starting to get the hint and everyone was avoiding him like the black plague. It was going to be pretty hard for everyone to pretend he didn’t exist when their American tour began in 2 weeks. 3 months, a tour bus and a bunch of hotels meant being in each other’s pockets on a daily basis.
You were thankfully not going because as just a friend in the group, with no part in the band, tour or managerial capacity, you don’t have to go. Sure you miss your friends when they’re all away on tour but you and Colson have an unspoken agreement that while he’s away on tour, you have free reins on his massive house in the Hollywood Hills. Sort of like a house sitter without the pay and you don’t have to spend the night every night if you don’t want to. You usually do though.
Colson always ensures the fridge and pantry are stocked with your favourite snacks and sodas. His big ass flatscreen is connected to all the streaming services and well as the latest gaming consoles. Not to mention the very large heated pool in his backyard that overlooks the city. The guest room, just down the hallway from the master, is about the same size as your apartment. A large king size bed sits in the middle of the room, a small sofa in front of the tv mounted on the wall opposite, a large window bench seat that overlooks the small garden below and a walk-in wardrobe that puts your pocky closet to shame.
Colon ensures your favourite candles are scattered around the room to make you feel more at home. He always teases you about your candle obsession but that doesn’t stop him from feeding into it. You secretly think he loves them too but is too macho to admit it. You always catch him inhaling deeply whenever he steps into your apartment.
Being at Colson’s house is the reset from your life that you need sometimes, you hadn’t realised how much you relied on it until the thought of it not happening becomes a big possibility.
Ashleigh had been nervous about going on tour for months now, ever since Colson’s antics became more extreme, bit by bit. You weren’t overly surprised by her desperate phone call a few weeks before the tour, inviting you over to her house for a chat. She confided in you a lot more than anyone else because she knew anything she said to you would stay between the two of you.
At the beginning, the spiral was pretty on par with Colson’s usual antics. Drinking, way too much weed, partying. After a few weeks though, the group began to get worried. He kept upping the ante. Drinking to the point of a buzz became drinking until he blacked out. Weed turned into trying to buy pills at 3am in downtown Hollywood and getting arrested because the ‘dealer’ was an undercover cop. Luckily the record labels lawyers were able to talk the cops down to a fine. The partying remained pretty much the same, the parties just went for days and days.
Everyone was concerned but it didn’t turn into full blown panic until Colson cancelled plans with Cassie. She was due to come during the summer for a month before the next tour began and Colson just…called it off. Cassie was devastated. You still remember the pain in her voice when she called you in tears to tell you. It was heartbreaking. You got straight in your car to go and see Colson and tear him a new one but he was too hammered to even understand what you were saying. He never blows off his daughter. The one time he truly opened up to you, he told you how guilty he feels about how much of her childhood he’s missing out on. That was the first time you felt that pang of overwhelming fear that something was desperately wrong.
You walk straight through Ashleigh’s front door, dying to get out of the California heat. You hear the sound of muffled voices coming from her kitchen. A deep male voice is the most prominent, mostly because he sounds pissed. You don’t recall Ashleigh mentioning having a meeting today so you assume it’s ok for you to interrupt whatever the discussion that’s happening. When you step into the kitchen, everyone stops talking and there’s 4 pairs of eyes on you. Ashleigh looks sympathetic and borderline mortified but the 2 men and woman look less than pleased.
“Hey, Y/N, thanks for coming on such short notice,” Ashleigh says, giving you a small smile.
When you take in the appearance of her guests, you suddenly feel very underdressed in your short linen sundress. Ashleigh looks nervous when she invites you to sit before turning her attention back to the very red looking man in the crisp, definitely expensive suit. His eyes scrutinise you with a terrifying gaze, so intimidating you have to look away after a few seconds.
“Sorry to interrupt, I didn’t know you were in a…meeting?” it unintentionally comes out as a question because the stare of the man is still on you and it makes you unsure.
“You’re late,” the man grumbles and his voice is as commanding as you’d imagined. “Look, I don’t have a lot of time to beat around the bush so let's cut to the chase.”
“Francis,” the woman says with a warning tone and she frowns softly when he finally looks at her. “None of this is her fault, let's remember that shall we?” she gives you an apologetic smile that immediately puts you at ease and suddenly you’re not as intimidated.
“Fine,” Francis grumbles and you can see him make a strained effort to relax the vein pulsing in his neck. “Colson’s actions lately are making us and frankly our lawyers very nervous. As I’m sure you can understand, normally we’d drop him for not meeting his contractual obligations but with a tour starting in less than 2 weeks that just isn’t a viable option. Many people have spent too much time and money making this happen and we’re not wasting all of that by cancelling.”
“And you wouldn’t want to disappoint the fans, right?” you interject knowing full well that the thought didn’t even cross their money hungry minds.
“Yes, of course,” he gripes at you and Ashleigh begs you to keep your mouth shut with her eyes. “That’s where you come in,” he points a pudgy finger at you and you grimace internally. “We need you to join them on tour and make sure everything runs smoothly.”
You look at Ashleigh with your jaw on the floor and for the first time since you got there, Ashleigh avoids you. Why would they need you to go on tour to keep Colson in line when that’s Ashleigh’s job? Did she get fired? No way would you replace one of your closest friends just to satisfy some lawyers and record execs. Before you can open your mouth to decline, the woman speaks again.
“We understand that this is a lot to take in and obviously you will need time to think about it-”
“We will need your answer within 48 hours, we have a tour to plan after all Kathy,” Francis interjects and Kathy’s jaw flexes with irritation. You get the feeling Francis interrupts a lot.
“And we will of course pay you for your time, pay for any and all expenses associated with your hotels, food and flights. Once we have your answer we can work out all the finer details but we will give you time to talk it over with Ashleigh and your current employer.”
You blanch internally. As of 3 days ago, you’re actually unemployed after your company decided to make some ‘necessary cutbacks’, translation: layoffs. You hadn’t told any of your friends because even though they never make you feel any less, you know you have a hell of a lot less money than them and this will only make money tighter for you.
You never want to feel like a charity case with them so you always make sure to pay your own way, never take advantage. Even when you stay at Colson’s house when he’s on tour, you ensure you keep the house clean, collect his mail, water the few plants he has and keep the pool clean. Last time he was gone, you even reorganised his pantry for him. He spent months calling you to ask where certain things were even though everything was labelled.
The suits didn’t stick around for too much longer after their proposal. Ashleigh walks them out and you hear Francis insist that they have an answer within 48 hours, again. You’re tempted to get up and rip into him about how to speak to people but you decide against it when you hear Ashleigh’s reassurances. You know in a way that Ashleigh deals with Colson’s record label more than he does and you don’t want to make the relationship more strained for her. When she comes back to the dining room, you want to stand and envelop her in a hug. Her face just looks defeated. Has she looked that way for long? You feel guilty that you hadn’t noticed that everything going on with Colson has taken a toll on his oldest friend in the world.
“When was the last time you got a full night’s sleep?” you ask her, concern lacing your tone. You don’t want to tell her but she looks awful.
“Depends, what month is it?” she tried to make a joke but her face was too exhausted to muster a smile.
“Ash…what the fuck is going on?”
“They…they don’t think I can handle him on my own anymore and to be honest, I don’t think they’re wrong. Between trying to keep him from an early grave, keep his bad publicity out of the media and keep the upcoming tour on track and organised, I’m drowning. I had to send Ashton to stay with my mom so I could work around the clock. The record label wanted some PR lady to take over and I just-I couldn’t let them do that. Not only would Colson flip at the idea of a ‘babysitter’, he would just rebel even harder against whoever they sent and that would make everyone’s lives miserable. They demanded I come up with a solution and I just panicked. I blurted out your name and the plan just formed as I spoke. I’m so sorry to drag you into this but I just thought if it was you, Colson would go easier on you and I’m just…I’m exhausted.”
You convinced Ashleigh to go and lie down for a little bit, to try and catch up on some much needed sleep. You take her phone off her to ensure she’s not disturbed by anyone. You assure her, multiple times, that you’re not upset that she talked the record label into asking for your help. You know she was just trying to protect Colson from a stranger who wouldn’t understand him or what he needs.
Still, the thought of going on tour makes your stomach twist into knots and a burning sensation begins in your throat. You can honestly say you’ve never had any desire to go on tour with your friends and it has absolutely nothing to do with you using Kells’ house while he’s gone, although that is a huge perk. The thought of going to all those different cities, different time zones, living out of a suitcase, eating nothing but greasy food and living off potato chips and coffee doesn’t appeal to you in any way. Of course, they always come back with wild stories from their time on the road but they also always look completely exhausted and a little irritated with each other. It’s the one time you get to hang out with each of them one on one because none of them like to see each other for at least a week after the tour is over.
The more you thought about it, the more you’d talked yourself out of going. That was until you spent an hour with Ashleigh’s cell. The thing did not shut up. Text messages, emails, phone calls, media updates. The thing was a notification love bomb. There were things about the tour, messages from Francis pressuring her about Colson’s latest behaviours. Rook had to drag him out of his car last night to stop him from driving while half-baked, half drunk and half belligerent about needing a burger at 3am. You can tell by the messages from Francis that Colson is on his last strike when it comes to the law. The last thing that he can afford is to be arrested again. No lawyer would be able to save him from his second arrest in a month.
You know you came into this group because of your friendship with Rook but everyone feels so important to you now that you feel like it’s your duty to help them in any way possible. Everyone has been trying their best to keep Colson in line and everyone up until this point has been struggling. That kind of made you wonder why Ashleigh thought how you getting involved could end any differently than anyone else so far. You make a mental note to ask her that question while you’re making some dinner for her to eat once she wakes up.
You place the spaghetti in a bowl on her bench and cover it in plastic wrap. You leave a post-it note on top of the food with a love heart and tidy your mess up. Once the dishes are done, you put her phone on Do Not Disturb with an hour timer and sneak it onto her bedside table before leaving. You drive in silence, not bothering to connect your phone to your ancient Bluetooth system, because you need your mind to be completely clear. You run through a list of pros and cons in your mind.
Pros: you’d get to spend time with all your favourite people, you’d get to see new cities, you’d actually be a part of a fun tour story instead of just hearing about it after the fact, you’d get to see Colson live in concert every night and see a whole new side to him, you’d make some money out of it.
Cons: tour hasn’t even started and you’re already exhausted by the thought of it, you don’t want to live out of a suitcase, you’d miss your own bed, you need to find a new job which you can’t do on the road, you have bills to pay, you have no one to look after your apartment or collect your mail, you don’t know if you’ll be able to handle spending so much time around Colson.
That last con has you almost calling Ashleigh to decline on the spot. When you first started hanging with Rook’s best friend you developed a crush, bad. Spending time with him was hard because there were all these things you wanted to do or say but you just had to bite your tongue and sit on your hands. Eventually, after pushing your feelings down hard enough, they began to lessen but it took a lot of effort on your part. Watching Colson parade a different woman around every weekend helped but still, it was hard. You’ve made it a point not to spend a lot of one on one time with him in order to keep your feelings in check but going on this tour for the sole purpose of keeping him out of trouble means spending a lot of time with him.
You think you’ve come to the inevitable conclusion you were pretty sure was always going to be your answer, no, but then Ashleigh’s exhausted face crosses your mind. Your shoulders slump and you take a deep inhale. Pulling your car to a stop out the front of your apartment, you pull your phone out and dial Ashleigh’s number.
“Hey!” she answers on the third ring, sounding much chipper after her nap. “Thank you so much for the spaghetti, it was delicious!”
“Hey, you’re welcome. I wanted to give you my answer so you don’t have to spend the next 48 hours stressing.”
“Oh, please don’t rush on my account. Take your time. Francis gave you 48 hours for a reason, it’s a big decision,” she sounds absolutely terrified.
“I’ll do it.”
“Oh my god! Thank you so much Y/N! I owe you big time. I’ll call Francis straight away so they can organise your contract and pay,” she sounds almost giddy and her enthusiasm begins to rub off onto you.
“I’m just glad I can help alleviate some of your stress. I am worried about how I’m going to tell Kells that I’m coming as his official ‘handler’,” you chuckle but Ashleigh doesn’t laugh along with you.
“I’ll let Kells know you’re coming,” her tone is clipped like she’s annoyed you’d want to let him know yourself but then her voice relaxes a little. “I’m so excited you’re coming hun.”
“Me too,” you agree with a smile.
You say your goodbyes and hang up the phone, suddenly feeling very unsure about your decision. Maybe you were acting a bit rash but you just can’t stand to see your friends struggling like Ashleigh was. You’re not 100% sure how you’re going to make her life any easier because you haven’t exactly been dealing with Colson like everyone else but you’ll have to just wing it and hope it works out.
Well…here goes nothing.
