thinking a little bit about jester and caduceus as mirrors of each other. opposite in ways and also the same. isolated and sheltered and hiding that there's something wrong and so lonely underneath the important task of keeping the group healed or fed or laughing or singing a silly song. something about leaving your home (lavish and luxurious or a humble temple, both with anything you could ever need, mostly.. maybe..) and realising that the world is really scary, its really tough and really harsh and bloody, but also like. theres pastries to eat and friends to annoy (affectionate) and straw hats to weave and outfits to buy for your friends etc etc

thank you for saying!! i feel like this is such just my own bias for myself but i have always thought in my head that ao3 shit is like. 5-8k or longer and tumblr shit is 1-3k and if i write something 4k i gotta sit with it and figure what what i'm trying to say lol and that's so silly, i can post things on ao3 that are 2k, 3k long and i have read and adored short fics on ao3 so why am i like that personally

so i do feel like i should defeat the bias and just copy-paste a lot of my fics on here over to ao3 regardless of word length.

but it's hard lol

it's so hard, i only want to post the ones that i've added stuff to until the 2k words become 6k >:(

also i feel like there are so many drawbacks of the tumblr writing system and i hate them all

BUT there are some really good parts!!!! it is so easy to jump around in timeline with tumblr, it's so easy to link to other fics, it's so easy to just have a tag for an au and come up with a bit of a story and then come back later with the full ficlet for it and then come back even later and just add a new ficlet....i love that part of tumblr that's how my mind works !!

but all that being said, outside of regency au and playmaker au is there a ficlet on here you'd like to see on ao3? i hardly know where to start tbh

well today i had a r/thatsNotHowGirlsWork experience.

after talking about health care my coworker had this gem (after other very questinable business ideas reagrding insulin)

obviously i was like, uh fuck no it does not, we do not all get our periode at the same time like werewolfes or whatever.

well, thats not what he meant, obviously. just that, e.g if you start bleeding three days before the newmoon or whatever, it will always start three days before the new moon.

so he does’t get grils getting their periodes unexpectedly. if they would just stop looking at apps that poisen your mind and go back to paying attention to the moon phases like people used to do in the past they would easily keep track.

yeah because i think because the tragedy is also that she loves death. nicky isnt doomed in some magical way, made of death so unable to live. or maybe also that, who knows, but i think nicky is doomed first and foremost bc agatha loves death.

i think she must have been on the run because she made it that way. bc she antagonised people into coming after her. bc she killed a coven or a dozen. bc she killed magically or mundanely. agatha isnt trying to build a healthy life, for her or him. agatha isnt trying to be Better in any way you want to define that. she wont let herself grow beyond the trauma that has defined her up to that point. and after nickys death she wont let herself grow beyond that trauma either. shes knowingly destructive and she isnt trying to change that.

if agatha is desolate and without community it's because she has made it that way. directly or indirectly, on purpose or bc she was forced, those things kinda blur together. at the end of the day she let it be that way. nicky lived and died because agatha loves death.
