Crystal

- 5/10

- fell through a portal from the Stellar Dimension into the Drip Dimension as a little girl, being completely cut off from her family

- was raised in a village by two reluctant foster parents who couldn’t really handle her

- would eventually be taken in by a dragon-rearing as well as Ash

Voyage

- 2/10

- grew up in a village, similar to Crystal

- was close to her uncle, Old Man Young

- had a pretty easy life - at least, until the story starts

Closed Starter: Unlocked (Keefe/Everyone)

The first sensation he’s fully aware of is cold.

He’s cold.

He’s laying down.

There’s a sharp, medicinal smell in the air. He’s not a fan, at all. But there’s far more immediate scents coming from everywhere. Something smells strongly of garbage.

Beeping sounds.

And then the feelings sort of hit him. Worry, stress, fear. A lot of it. He’s not entirely sure if it’s his.

Keefe shifts, finally opening his eyes... and abruptly closing them from the fluorescent lighting. “Ow.”

Axel jolts to life. “Keefe--”

“Keefe!” Sophie launches up to him, but half trips, half gets pushed aside by Margo.

“Bitchy!!!”

“Right here,” Keefe grunts, holding up one hand to the yelling, his other hand coming up to his head. “I’m right here. No need to yell.”

A while back I got inspired by @spadesart ‘s OC Ada, a successor to Dreamfinder for the Journey into Imagination ride at Epcot, which in turn was inspired by @superstarlimo’s Disney Park Descendants AU they did with their friends, basically making OCs based on attractions in the Disney parks, and it sparked this whole research rabbit hole where I eventually decided i vibed really well with Shanghai Disney’s Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, a boat ride reminiscent of the storybook land canal boats except with a story of a magical crystal cavern underneath the Shanghai Disneyland castle. I am not Chinese, and I don’t understand Mandarin, so I don’t understand the announcer on videos taken of the ride, but I can get the general gist through environmental storytelling and wiki pages. With that ride as my inspiration, I came up with a fairy character in the same sort of vein as Maleficent, being human-sized but without wings, also being able to turn into a dragon. For reference here’s my planning pages:

I wanted her to have a magic staff but to work with the ride theme I gave her a boat paddle with the design of a dragonfly wing. I imagine her role would be to protect the castle and the stories held within its walls. She’s generally pretty sleepy but comes alive at night, and she loves music.
