i just had a great(?) idea.

See how from volume 3 onwards the sparklecare artstyle doesnt have diversity anymore.? (vol 3 is almost exclusively done by kc according to the credits at the bottom of each page, and in vol 4 all the clowns have her exact artstyle) well. i thought about that and came to a conclusion;

why dont the fandom all redraw V3-V4 pages. dozens, hundreds of people. with all kinds of styles, and skill level. teaming up, redrawing each 1-5pages. then slowly redrawing the whole thing with our own hands, our own artstyles. We'd post our new, diverse-artstyle sparklecare with all pages in order on a blog or smth.

seeing the credits at the bottom of the vol2 pages was my favorite thing ever, after a while i even would start to recognize each team member's artstyle, and i found it very charming how each individual style conveyed different emotions throughout each character yet still fit'd the main style of the comic and they all went very well together. as much as i like the current artstyle of the comic (controversial opinion, i know.) it OBJECTIVELY is way less "alive" feeling and expressive than vol 1 or 2's for exemple, and the lack of diversity that seems to be allowed within the zcp doesnt help. if all of us, as many as we are, created and directed a massive re-draw collab of sparklecare hospital, we could have this alive sparklecare that we deserve once again.

Art I did during my break but don't wanna post on main but you know what. I like Levi and Richard (and Arienne the redhead).

Basically, Levi and Richard go to school together, Richard decides to go by the name Richard and the only person to without question go along with "I'm a boy now" is Levi who calls him Dick. And then gets into fist fights with boys that don't call him Richard. So Richard falls pretty much in love in school then his parents divorce and he moves away.

Many years later (10+) Richard meets Levi again and it's very much nothing grand. Levi overhears Richard introducing himself to someone and is like "lmao Dick? You work here now? Sucks to be you" and Richard is immediately 'I love him so much I hate myself for how easily I give up all dignity for him' but yeah. They work in different departments so Levi does more behind the scenes stuff while Richard talks to clients and is very social.

And their coworkers in both departments love Richard because he's such a nice guy and Levi's department hates Levi a lot cause he's an asshole. (then stuff happens that would require a tw blah blah blah) So after a month of Levi not being at work he returns and Richard immediately goes over to the department to check on him and he's just. Incredibly mellow. No cussing and no cockiness and worst of all, he's being called Richard which is very much not correct from Levi. So he points it out that no one else calls him Dick and if he had a problem with it he would have said something by now so hey, maybe don't suddenly change the entire friendship on your own. (So Levi texts him later to say "sorry for being a dick, Dick" and Richard is v happy and content with that turn out)

Richard is honestly tragically created out of spite for the fact I saw a name IRL and I know that the state that I live in would in fact NOT have someone that intentionally funny and trans so I have to make my own funny trans guy to fill the void.

In light of the repeated and extreme hate of Ingo and Emmet in the notes of their poll vs Hershel and Jean, we have decided to merge both pairs into one bracket, to run side by side until further notice. There was a lot of consideration, and we were very, very close to removing Hershel and Jean from the running due to the repeated hate in the notes from a specific few Professor Layton fans, but quite honestly feared even more backlash because you guys did not listen the first time we said to stop being so unnecessarily mean. This is the best option we could think of, since it doesn't take Hershel and Jean out of the running, nor does it let the nasty people get away with being nasty.

It is absolutely unacceptable to wish death or harm upon ANYONE because of who does or does not win a just-for-fun Tumblr poll about fictional sibling pairs. There was a surprising amount of anger in the notes of some other brackets (notes hating on Della and Donald specifically come to mind, as well as several saying the polls in general were shitty or that us mods should go to hell bc certain sib sets were in the brackets while others weren't), and just. guys. come on. I know you're all passionate about the characters you like and you all want your favs to win but please just be normal this is all for fun 😭 This is absolutely the last warning for you all to STOP BEING SO PURPOSEFULLY HATEFUL AND MEAN. There is a difference between being joking and funny and acting like people should be harmed for which set they vote for. Just be nice, be civil, and at the end of the day just have fun. That's all we ask.

and btw, all the vitriol from those select professor layton fans (bc yes, some of you were civil and nice over this, and we appreciate that, but those that were bitter and spiteful ruined this for you all) severely tanked one of us mod's interest in playing Professor Layton, so. please think about how your actions have affected us mods, and anyone else who may have seen any angry tags (on ANY poll. don't make us do something more drastic next time this happens or have to block more ppl).
