Seeing as how american political stuff, protests and warnings and all other things keep appearing on my fyp, i wonder if this all happened in the DC universe. Observe:

L Mangio (allegedly) shoots the American Health Insurence company’s CEO.

Bruce Wayne is too much of a himbo and an empath to do anything (meaningful) becasue otherwise his cover will be blown. Brucie isn’t supposed to know anything other than a simple he killed him and ran away.

Dick Grayson is also a too much of a happy idiot himbo to do anything, because again, his cover. Both of them will support in the shadows by sending anonymous fake evidences to the lawyers that suggest Luigi wasn’t the perpertrator.

Jason Todd publically announces that he is on L’s side by questioning the evidences and the unfair sentence issued by the judges and the court.

Cass is conflicted because on one hand killing is absolutely unacceptable, but on the other hand, what the victim had done before dying is despicable.

Timothy Drake, otherwise the smartest (in the eyes of the public) and the most respectable (again, the public) Wayne, doesn’t announce which side he is taking officially because it could affect WE stocks. However, he not only bribes the judges and whatever-else that they count L’s crime as murder rather than terorrist attack, he also pays for L’s lawyer and uses certain words that could mean he is siding with L on his personal social media accs.

Duke Thomas very very publically and quite aggresively announces that L is innocent and that the now deceased CEO had done wrong deeds. In a less flowery language. This sparks backlash from the public because Duke is still talking about a dead person but many agrees with his sentiment.

Damian Wayne, even if he doesn’t use social media much, hears heated rants about the situation from his siblings. Particularly from Duke and Jason. After researching, Damian decides he stands with L but doesn’t announce it publically.

All of these actions lead to L being a free man and the public knows that the Waynes have taken L under their wing, however unofficially. This also sports fanart of L being adopted into family. This does not actually happen.

During the presidential race, Tim’s political knowledge comes in handy. He makes a deal with Kamala and Biden and counter bribes and even blackmails some state representitaves into voting for Kamala instead of Trump. Of course, she had been feeling iffy about the deal but whatever Trumo does in his presidency is obviously far more worse than what Tim will make them do when he cashes in on the favor they now owe him.

Which means the democrats won and that means the republicans violently protest because of it. Trumo is thrown into jail because he’s a convicted felon so the protesters won’t get bailed out of jail.

This win also proves to me why I've been right to never believe that "Gen z will save the world/Gen z will be the revolution" and I fully belive it's because of the men of our generation.

I feel like even the people on tumblr.com of all places clutch their pearls when men are criticized as a general group, but I really need people to realize gen z men across races might be the scariest demographic of men in a long time.

This country will very soon become nothing more than a pseudo-dictatorship, with Trump at the head and his incompetent cronies beneath him, allowing Trump to dl anything he damn well pleases.

Elon Musk is one of the funniest yet most depressing examples. This goddamn nepo baby buffoon who somehow even smiles wrong will soon be the head of a new government department Trump made just for him, its acronym being a reference to a shitty memecoin.

He will also eventually replace the current FBI director with one of his fucking loyalists named Kash Patel, a man who actively criticizes investigations into Trump and has accused the "deep state" of undermining Trumo and making his power and reputation weaker while he was in office the first time. He's called for mass firings within the FBI, robbing civil servants of their jobs, and he may possibly use the FBI's power to silence any media that criticizes him. While that last one is just a fear, I have no doubt it will happen, given how these scumbags act.

Unfortunately, this is a pattern of hirings from Trump. He will hire nothing but his ardent supporters, allowing him to have full control of the entire government. It's only one more example of the broken government we have today, and a painful demonstration of the consequences of the election. This shouldn't have happened; Trump should be in jail, where he fucking belongs. However, wishful thinking won't get us anywhere. I urge all who see this post to be better. Protest, vote, fight back. Help those in need who will be disadvantaged and hurt by the laws that will soon be put in place. Rise above Trump and his supporters; revel in knowing that you are better than them.

The War Came To Me

(I wrote this four years ago to someone I know.  I’m posting it here and now because the situation grew even more dire in those intervening years.  As a courtesy to the original recipient, I’m removing their name and any identifying information, but the message still stands and so do I.)

Why should I believe anything any Republican has to say?  The GOP spits on vets and tells 'em it's mana from heaven. They betray the best interests of their constituents, they do not believe in rule of law except when they can use it as a cudgel against those they dislike, they sold out every value they've ever claimed to possess to prop up this toad as long as it keeps them in power one election, one year, one month, one day, one hour, one second longer.

I remember having a conversation with a Republican several years ago when Trump was peddling his schtick about Obama's birth certificate. This Republican sounded almost gleeful over Trump doing this, making Obama respond to an outrageous racist demand, a demand never made on any other president of the United States.

Boy, do I remember that conversation...

And the poison that Trump spewed into the American political system then, the GOP supported it. Oh, the party used all the mealy-mouthed legalisms -- "Well, I don't know, could be interesting to find out" -- but that was a God damned* racist dog whistle and the GOP knew it and the GOP let Trump blow it as hard as he could.

The GOP let Trump climb on the stage in 2008 as a faux candidate so he could promote The Apprentice; okay, fine, maybe they thought he’d at least going to make a real attempt at securing the nomination.

Nope, just hype.

But then the GOP let him on the stage again knowing he was bogus, because he would stir up the white evangelical base the GOP. 

I know these white evangelicals, I grew up among them, I understand their thinking, and while all of them may not be hateful bigots, I'm hard pressed to think of one that isn't a white supremacist.

The Nixon and the GOP made their deal with the devil by catering to that crowd, a complete rejection of everything the Republican party used to stand for.

Then the GOP let Trump on the stage a third time, and this time with alt-right money and white evangelical churches openly supporting him and the Russians dropping their turds, he squeaked by a narrow electoral college win, losing the popular vote by the biggest margin of any candidate who won the presidency.

All this might have been endurable if the GOP put a leash on him and kept him from filling the cabinet with corrupt cronies who systematically looted the country.

But they didn't.

Behavior that would see any Democrat impeached or indicted, they turned a blind eye to. We can literally count the number of Republicans who stood by their principles on the fingers of one hand.

I have skin and bone and blood in the game. Soon-ok never used to get hassled by racists...until Trumo. I have Latino and African-American family members who face an increase in white hostility, gay and transgender friends and acquaintances more anxious about their personal safety than three years ago.

My mother-in-law died from covid early in the pandemic.  For that, I don't blame Trump directly, because even the best efforts to keep a disease out will eventually fail, and once a disease gets inside a community, some people will catch it and among them some die.

But not 63,000 in under 4 weeks, which is when Soon-ok’s mother died isolated in a hospital. She might have caught covid anyway even under the best testing and isolating conditions ala South Korea, but there wouldn’t been another 63,000 deaths in a month’s time (400,000 for the duration of Trump’s presidency).  

That's a screw up of several orders of magnitude.

She died alone and frightened and gasping for air.

I'm not forgetting that.

Ever.

So kindly stop telling me to back away from it.  That's not going to happen. The war came to my doorstep; I didn't want it but here it is.

You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to vote for Trump…TA was most definitely a tacky, cheap shot at him. And there is nothing Hollywood loves more than a shot at DJT. You think it was a coincidence that it was released in October? The whole thing about them not being able to find investors was bs. They stalled as long as they could to get a release date the was up the ass of the election. It was so obvious and it was laughable how they tried to lie about that.

He was convinced it would be a piece of cake be nominated and maybe even win, and when it wasn’t and people didn’t really give two shits about the film he went a little crazy. It’s funny because something both of these men have in common is that when something doesn’t go their way, they make it everyone else’s problem.

Don’t be fooled. Hollywood isn’t afraid of the wrath of Donnie Drumpf, they’re afraid of the wrath of audiences. People forget that he was president already. Hollywood complained about him at award shows for four years straight. Actors were very vocally anti-Trump and have been for nearly a decade. Not one of them ended up blacklisted or homeless for it. Whether we like it or not, he won the popular vote this time around. That means that a huge chunk of the people who shell out money to see movies probably voted for him. If you piss them off enough, they’ll stop paying to watch movies. Hollywood is still recovering from the pandemic and from the strikes. They literally can’t afford to risk alienating their audiences.

TLDR; TA was a tacky, grimy film and saying that doesn’t make you a Trump supporter. It was helmed by mostly men, exploited a deceased woman’s sexual trauma, told us nothing we didn’t know, and brought out the absolute worst in Sebastian. He’s just angry because he allowed DJT into his brain rent free and isn’t getting the attention he thought he’d be entitled to after having done that. He’s 42 going on 21. Also, Hollywood isn’t afraid of Trump, they’re afraid of the American people.

And look at the TikTok game. Truml, the hero, coming to save the ap pfor the American people. Like... people know who Trump is, the films brought nothing new to the surface.
