The reason I didn't post any maps for the longest fucking time is because geography is not my strong suit so I will be constantly updating it as I piece together the way things are Not Working In Ways I Cannot Just Say 'fuck it' About. The details of any map I post will be obsolete within a month.

For the synopsis of Status Quo you mentioned the mc coming from an underground shelter. Were the shelters built in advance? Are they just for survival or are they underground cities where people have access to technology and are still learning/creating new things?

At this stage in my writing, the bunker is a massive facility that was part of a university extension. Not only does its underground design save space, it doubles as an air tight testing facility for biological research.

The apocalyptic event that creates the new world is the result of a super volcano (inspired by Yellowstone) going off and flooding Catalyst into the atmosphere. Super volcanos have signs of eruption for years before they erupt, so while the powers at be hid the oncoming eruption from the public, they converted places like Phylum’s home into bunkers fit their top scientists and researchers.

Over generations of isolation, the survivors have developed a hierarchy system based on genetic health and academic scores. Broken up into four classifications, the people live under the rule of the highest achievers, being given resources and freedoms that correlate with their perceived value as people.

The class in charge are known a Nobles, and Phylum’s family has held that status for generations.

Okay I’ll shut up now. Definitely DONT ask me what they do with babies with disabilities and genetic conditions. I would HATE to tell you all about that.

It's actually really funny that at certain points in the game the plot is beating Kyle over the head with plot hooks to try and get him to do the story but he's just too busy trying to be a harvest moon protagonist to do anything lol. Then he has a kid and his protagonist rights get revoked.

I do think it's Really Fucking Weird that the DAY after Drumpf is called as the president elect, everyone on this website immediately started begging the populace to not kill themselves. Like??? Brother are you sure we're all as fatalistic as you?? My own first reaction was, as a Floridian, "disappointed but not surprised." My first reaction was NOT "welp guess I better kill myself because there's not gonna be a future for me in this country anymore" like what type of fucking leap is it to make so many messages urging people NOT to kill themselves?? It's Going TO BE BAD FOR SURE, but? like? NOT YET?!?!?!?
